Transcript
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: Welcome to the Daily Rider, where we share a lesson each day to help you cultivate the habits for creative success.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: Well, we've all heard it before and probably said it.
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: We say, I am just not feeling inspired today.
- 0:23SPEAKER_00: There might be a hundred reasons why we don't feel inspired on any particular day, but there's one way to correct that almost every single time.
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: Madeline Lingle gave us the secret of this when she said, inspiration usually comes during work rather than before it.
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: In other words, we have to get started working for inspiration to show up.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: You know, inspiration is a sensitive, shy kind of fellow.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: Inspiration is not rude and he doesn't like to show up unannounced.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: That's why he has to be invited into your process.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: And the way that you invite inspiration into your process is to start writing.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: So the next time you aren't feeling it, just get started, and inspiration will more than likely show up.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: Here's your daily question.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: Are you willing to write for 10 minutes until you get into a state of flow and feel inspired?
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: Thanks so much for listening to today's episode.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: I want to take a moment to let you know about our daily writer membership community.
