- 0:34Speaker 1: people say that they've kept themselves busy listening to our
- 0:36Speaker 1: show while on the road traveling for.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Days, months, years. You know, what do you mean months? Well,
- 0:43Speaker 2: you know, it seems like they're able to.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Yeah, I heard people say they can listen to it
- 0:47Speaker 1: for months.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Months and months and months. Why is everybody looking skeptical? Well, Phil,
- 0:52Speaker 2: don't they have to go to the bathroom? And that's
- 0:54Speaker 2: just it. It would take you three months, I think...
- 0:58Speaker 2: What did they say?
- 0:59Speaker 3: You're asking me?
- 1:00Speaker 1: Yeah, they said it would take you three months to
- 1:02Speaker 1: get through our entire website, but only if you didn't
- 1:05Speaker 1: go to the bathroom, go to sleep, or eat.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Never mind.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Anyway, get a backstage pass at the world-famous Phil Henry Show,
- 1:13Speaker 1: the greatest value online other than porn.
- 1:16Speaker 2: I'm not kidding.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Hey, it's Phil Henry, and it's time now for our
- 1:19Speaker 1: featured Radio Archive Hour from September 2005 here on the
- 1:23Speaker 1: Hall of Fame Phil Henry Radio Show, philhenryshow.com. And what
- 1:26Speaker 1: was happening in September 2005? Katrina had just hit New Orleans.
- 1:30Speaker 1: New Orleans was beginning to try to recover. They were
- 1:33Speaker 1: bailing out the city. Basically, it was underwater. We were
- 1:36Speaker 1: talking about it, obviously. Every talk show in America was.
- 1:39Speaker 2: But David G.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Hall, our vice president of syndication, called to say, you're
- 1:42Speaker 1: wasting time. We were supposed to be interviewing a guy
- 1:45Speaker 1: named Bob Duganshire in the Bob Duganshire Real Estate Hour.
- 1:48Speaker 1: And David wanted us to do that because he just
- 1:51Speaker 1: married the guy's sister. I think he was planning on
- 1:53Speaker 1: marrying the guy's sister. He's sitting in a hot tub.
- 1:56Speaker 1: And then in about, I don't know, a half hour,
- 1:58Speaker 1: they all left and went to the night racing at
- 2:00Speaker 1: Del Mar. Meanwhile, we have people calling in, talking about
- 2:04Speaker 1: the poor people in New Orleans. So David said, stop
- 2:07Speaker 1: talking about it.
- 2:07Speaker 2: We didn't. On the program tonight is our vice president
- 2:11Speaker 2: of syndication.
- 2:12Speaker 1: He's been in the radio business for quite a long
- 2:14Speaker 1: time and is a guy who helps syndicate the Phil
- 2:17Speaker 1: Hendry Show nationally, David G. Hall.
- 2:18Speaker 2: David, thanks for joining us.
- 2:20Speaker 3: My pleasure, Phil.
- 2:22Speaker 2: And you wanted to get on the air.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Tonight because you knew that we were going to continue
- 2:25Speaker 1: talking about the calamity, the catastrophe in New Orleans.
- 2:30Speaker 3: Well, and there's no doubt, Phil, that it is a catastrophe.
- 2:33Speaker 3: There's no doubt that it's a terrible event, and they're
- 2:36Speaker 3: going to deal with it the best way they can.
- 2:38Speaker 3: I'm sure the people of New Orleans have everything they need,
- 2:41Speaker 3: and if they don't, they'll get it. I had discussed
- 2:44Speaker 3: with you yesterday, bringing on Bob Duganshire, who has really
- 2:48Speaker 3: got a fascinating real estate seminar, and is giving his
- 2:52Speaker 3: seminar in a number of locations around the country, and
- 2:57Speaker 3: You said to me, no, you didn't want to do that. And,
- 3:01Speaker 3: of course, as an employer, as a manager of personnel,
- 3:05Speaker 3: as someone who has to deal with people under him
- 3:08Speaker 3: in an employment capacity, I was taken aback.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Well, I felt that this story, the Hurricane Katrina story,
- 3:17Speaker 1: was significant.
- 3:18Speaker 3: Well, let me present something to you, and let me
- 3:21Speaker 3: present this to your audience. You lived in New Orleans,
- 3:24Speaker 3: isn't that right?
- 3:25Speaker 2: I did.
- 3:26Speaker 3: How long did you live there?
- 3:27Speaker 2: I lived in New Orleans for a year. In the 1970s,
- 3:29Speaker 2: I was there in 1977.
- 3:30Speaker 3: All right, you were there. You know that city better
- 3:34Speaker 3: than people who maybe have only visited it. You lived there.
- 3:38Speaker 3: And so you know the neighborhoods. You've seen the city,
- 3:41Speaker 3: and you shopped in its stores. You made friends there
- 3:44Speaker 3: and so forth. So naturally, the story is going to
- 3:46Speaker 3: be interesting to you.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Don't you think it's got a national appeal?
- 3:52Speaker 3: Well, let me finish my point. I think that, in
- 3:56Speaker 3: your mind, it has a national appeal, but I think
- 3:59Speaker 3: you need to understand that it's really... It's a terrible story,
- 4:03Speaker 3: but it's a regional story. What we call in the
- 4:05Speaker 3: news business, regional news. And so, therefore, what you've got
- 4:10Speaker 3: is a terrible, terrible calamity that is really only affecting
- 4:17Speaker 3: people in the South. And when I asked you if
- 4:20Speaker 3: you would put Bob Duganshire on your show... because this
- 4:25Speaker 3: man is not only, I think, a very interesting man,
- 4:28Speaker 3: but is a gentleman prepared to pay an enormous amount
- 4:33Speaker 3: of money to the Phil Hendry Show so he can
- 4:35Speaker 3: talk about his real estate seminars. You declined.
- 4:41Speaker 2: I did decline because I, you know.
- 4:44Speaker 3: Well, I know what your reasons are, because you lived
- 4:46Speaker 3: in New Orleans.
- 4:47Speaker 1: No, no, that's not my reason, because I lived in
- 4:48Speaker 1: New Orleans. Because I believe this story is of national import.
- 4:51Speaker 3: Well, no, but that's where I'm telling you you're wrong.
- 4:53Speaker 3: You're wrong because you live there and so you have a.
- 4:56Speaker 1: You're not telling me that the... Are you saying, in
- 4:58Speaker 1: other words, that people around the country are not talking
- 5:01Speaker 1: about this?
- 5:01Speaker 3: I think people around the country are talking about it.
- 5:04Speaker 3: But I don't think they're talking about it to the
- 5:06Speaker 3: extent that you think they are. I think they're looking
- 5:09Speaker 3: at the news and they're saying, well, you know, that's
- 5:12Speaker 3: a bad thing. And then they're going to the sports
- 5:15Speaker 3: page and they're doing all the things that you ordinarily do.
- 5:19Speaker 3: You requested time tonight to discuss, you know, the American
- 5:24Speaker 3: Red Cross and all these things, and that's charity work.
- 5:29Speaker 3: When I got a guy like Bob Duganshire, and you
- 5:32Speaker 3: know who I'm talking about, right?
- 5:33Speaker 1: No, I know Bob Duganshire does the very famous real
- 5:35Speaker 1: estate seminars.
- 5:36Speaker 3: All right, he pays cash on the barrel head, okay?
- 5:41Speaker 3: A hundred pennies to the dollar. This is not, you know,
- 5:46Speaker 3: you getting on and talking about, oh, and the Red
- 5:48Speaker 3: Cross is... We know about the Red Cross. I'm trying
- 5:52Speaker 3: to ask you, where is the butter from the Red
- 5:55Speaker 3: Cross on your bread? See what I'm saying?
- 5:57Speaker 1: Well, the Red Cross is a charity, but this is
- 5:59Speaker 1: an unusual situation.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Well, you see, there you go again.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Well, it's not like there I go again.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Look, here are some news stories. The Bob Dugan Share
- 6:09Speaker 3: Real Estate Center is just one part of the hour.
- 6:11Speaker 3: Cindy Sheehan is probably the biggest story in America right now,
- 6:13Speaker 3: without question. Without question. Cindy Sheehan... She's got three buses,
- 6:19Speaker 3: and today, just on the lighter side, Pac-Man is celebrating
- 6:22Speaker 3: its 25th birthday. So while you're telling everybody how bad
- 6:27Speaker 3: they have it in New Orleans, and you're broadcasting from
- 6:31Speaker 3: a city where it's dry as a bone, do you
- 6:34Speaker 3: understand what I'm saying? Isn't that a little bit hypocritical?
- 6:36Speaker 3: So these are all the things.
- 6:37Speaker 2: How hypocritical is that?
- 6:39Speaker 3: I mean... You're talking about, oh, New Orleans is underwater,
- 6:41Speaker 3: everything's bad, and you're broadcasting from a city out on
- 6:44Speaker 3: the West Coast, dry as a bone... Go on out
- 6:48Speaker 3: to the beach tonight, get yourself some shrimp over there
- 6:50Speaker 3: at Gladstone's. In other words, you know, what I'm asking
- 6:54Speaker 3: you to do, Phil, and I think the audience will agree,
- 6:55Speaker 3: quit shoving your lifestyle into the mouths of people who
- 6:58Speaker 3: are suffering.
- 7:00Speaker 2: David, I am not doing that at all. I haven't
- 7:01Speaker 2: talked about going out and getting shrimp.
- 7:04Speaker 3: I haven't. But it's obvious that you're dry as a bone.
- 7:06Speaker 3: You're sitting there talking. Meanwhile, New Orleans is suffering, and
- 7:11Speaker 3: you're talking about New Orleans. All people are thinking about is, yeah,
- 7:14Speaker 3: the guy on the radio... He's got it. He's got it.
- 7:17Speaker 3: You know, sweet. He's kicking it. As the kids say,
- 7:19Speaker 3: he's kicking it, you know.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Well, I haven't said anything about I'm going to go
- 7:23Speaker 1: to Gladstones. I'm simply saying that the story is big enough.
- 7:27Speaker 1: I mean, the whole city's.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Underwater, David.
- 7:30Speaker 3: It's not something that's unprecedented. You just mentioned the Johnstown flood.
- 7:35Speaker 3: So it happened. It's already happened. And people are familiar
- 7:39Speaker 3: with it. So let me.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Give our phone number out before we move on here.
- 7:44Speaker 2: David G. Hall, our vice president of syndication.
- 7:46Speaker 3: You understand my point?
- 7:48Speaker 2: Well, let me give the number here.
- 7:51Speaker 3: 1-800-449-8686.
- 7:51Speaker 2: 1-800-449-8686.
- 7:51Speaker 1: I'm talking with David Hall, the vice president of syndication,
- 7:56Speaker 1: about coverage of the hurricane disaster, coverage of the flooding
- 8:01Speaker 1: disaster in New Orleans, whether or not it is something
- 8:03Speaker 1: worthy of discussing.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Or not. I didn't say that.
- 8:09Speaker 3: I just said you have to move on now. The
- 8:12Speaker 3: Bob Duganshire segment, I think, is a very interesting one.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Let me ask you something about Bob Duganshire. He's going
- 8:19Speaker 2: to pay money?
- 8:20Speaker 3: That's right.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Well, that's what's called block programming. So he would pay money,
- 8:24Speaker 1: come on here, and I just interview him about his product.
- 8:26Speaker 3: Correct.
- 8:28Speaker 2: But that doesn't leave me any room to actually criticize...
- 8:32Speaker 2: The guy's paying money.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Why would you want to criticize him? Why would you
- 8:36Speaker 3: want to criticize a guy's product when he's paying money
- 8:38Speaker 3: to you?
- 8:39Speaker 2: Well, it's like an hour-long commercial.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Yes. You doing an hour-long commercial for a hurricane in
- 8:46Speaker 3: New Orleans, or you having Bob Dugan's you're on? Tell
- 8:49Speaker 3: me what's going to put butter on your bread.
- 8:53Speaker 2: I think in the long run, my audience will want
- 8:55Speaker 2: to hear about the.
- 8:57Speaker 3: In the long run, what? In the long run, they
- 8:59Speaker 3: want to hear about the hurricane... Meanwhile, you're walking around
- 9:04Speaker 3: trying to rub two nickels together to try to get
- 9:06Speaker 3: him to mate. See what I'm saying? Bob Duganshire is.
- 9:11Speaker 2: All right, you've said this guy's name about nine times.
- 9:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I have, because you were supposed to have Duganshire on.
- 9:19Speaker 1: I'm saying, and maybe I'm wrong, and if I'm wrong,
- 9:22Speaker 1: I'm wrong, that the story in New Orleans.
- 9:25Speaker 2: For instance, I'll give you.
- 9:26Speaker 3: Give me an example of national impact.
- 9:27Speaker 2: That's exactly what I was going to do. National impact.
- 9:29Speaker 2: The price of gas.
- 9:30Speaker 3: What about it?
- 9:31Speaker 2: It's gone up because of the refineries.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Yes, it has gone up. That's correct.
- 9:36Speaker 2: And it impacts people's ability to pay for it.
- 9:41Speaker 3: You know, Phil, the price of gasoline is going up.
- 9:43Speaker 3: I understand that. I can afford it. You can afford it.
- 9:47Speaker 3: I don't understand. Prices go up, prices go down. I mean,
- 9:51Speaker 3: what you're asking me.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Well, it's very expensive for a lot of people.
- 9:55Speaker 3: I mean, you're asking me to comment on someone who hasn't...
- 10:01Speaker 3: put away money for a rainy day or doesn't have
- 10:03Speaker 3: a savings account so they can draw out of it
- 10:05Speaker 3: if they've got to put gas in their car or whatever.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Well, I mean, if it comes down to a guy
- 10:11Speaker 2: drawing out of his savings account to gas up his car.
- 10:13Speaker 3: Well, look, I'm paying... I don't understand. When you say
- 10:16Speaker 3: the price of gasoline... Well, the.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Price of gasoline is very high. And therefore, it's affecting people.
- 10:22Speaker 3: Not me. Not anybody I know.
- 10:26Speaker 2: All right.
- 10:27Speaker 3: 1-800-449-8686.
- 10:27Speaker 2: I'm going to take a phone call, all right?
- 10:30Speaker 3: Well, you can take a phone call, but that doesn't
- 10:33Speaker 3: solve the problem of when Dugan sure gets rescheduled. That's
- 10:36Speaker 3: number one. Number two, when you're going to start talking
- 10:40Speaker 3: about Cindy Sheehan again. And number three, the Pac-Man anniversary.
- 10:44Speaker 3: How do these things get solved? See what I'm saying?
- 10:48Speaker 2: Okay. Are you outside?
- 10:50Speaker 3: Yes, I am.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Because I'm hearing, is that water?
- 10:52Speaker 3: You know what we're doing, Phil? We're in the hot
- 10:54Speaker 3: tub right now because we're getting ready to go to dinner,
- 10:56Speaker 3: and I just wanted to relax because I did a
- 10:58Speaker 3: little working out this afternoon.
- 10:59Speaker 2: All right.
- 11:00Speaker 3: 1-800-449-8686.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Ann Marie, go ahead. You're on the Phil Henry Show
- 11:03Speaker 1: with David G.
- 11:04Speaker 3: Hall.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Hi.
- 11:05Speaker 4: Yeah, hi.
- 11:06Speaker 5: Hi.
- 11:07Speaker 6: I really disagree that it's a regional thing. It's definitely
- 11:11Speaker 6: a countrywide problem, and the gas prices... have gone up
- 11:15Speaker 6: as crazily as they have in the past 24 hours.
- 11:17Speaker 3: Yes, ma'am, but you're still driving your car.
- 11:20Speaker 6: I'm not driving my car the way I normally do.
- 11:22Speaker 6: I can't afford to.
- 11:23Speaker 3: Well, but how did you normally drive it? Maybe you're
- 11:25Speaker 3: cutting back on unnecessary driving. The point is, you're still driving,
- 11:29Speaker 3: and you're still getting to work, and you're still getting
- 11:31Speaker 3: to the store. I don't see how this is impacting anything.
- 11:34Speaker 3: Maybe it's keeping people from making unnecessary trips.
- 11:38Speaker 6: No, that's not true, actually, because there are people.
- 11:41Speaker 3: Well, are you making unnecessary trips? No, you're not. Obviously
- 11:45Speaker 3: you're not. So that's a good thing.
- 11:48Speaker 6: Yes, but I had to cut back. I'm going to
- 11:51Speaker 6: have to cut back on my work hours now because
- 11:54Speaker 6: the amount of money that I make at my job
- 11:57Speaker 6: and the amount of money I'm paying for gas to
- 11:59Speaker 6: get there.
- 12:00Speaker 3: No, you're not cutting back on your work hours. What
- 12:04Speaker 3: do you do for a living?
- 12:07Speaker 6: I work with developmentally disabled adults.
- 12:09Speaker 3: You're not going to cut back on your work hours.
- 12:11Speaker 3: I do as well as I am. No, you're not.
- 12:12Speaker 3: You know it as well as I do. How do
- 12:14Speaker 3: you do that? How do you tell your boss, hey,
- 12:15Speaker 3: I'm cutting back on my work hours?
- 12:17Speaker 6: Because I'm on call. So I can make my own schedule.
- 12:21Speaker 3: Well, if you're on call, you're on call. So they
- 12:24Speaker 3: call you up and you go, I've got to cut
- 12:25Speaker 3: back because I can't afford the gas? If you're on call,
- 12:29Speaker 3: you're on call.
- 12:30Speaker 5: Right.
- 12:31Speaker 3: See, I just scored a major point, a major debating point. Listen,
- 12:34Speaker 3: you know what?
- 12:35Speaker 6: You're sitting here telling me about how much money I make,
- 12:38Speaker 6: and you're sitting in the friggin' hot tub getting ready
- 12:40Speaker 6: to go to dinner.
- 12:40Speaker 3: Ma'am, I worked out, and I've got a sprain back
- 12:44Speaker 3: that I'm trying to... You know, that's got nothing to
- 12:47Speaker 3: do with me. I'm asking you. You say you've got
- 12:49Speaker 3: to cut back your work hours, and yet you're on call.
- 12:52Speaker 3: So I caught you in a little bit of a lie.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Wait a minute.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Wait a minute.
- 12:55Speaker 2: Hold on. Hold on for a minute.
- 12:57Speaker 3: No, she's lying.
- 12:57Speaker 2: No, don't call people liars.
- 12:59Speaker 3: Come on.
- 13:00Speaker 2: When you're on call, Ann Marie, this is Phil Henry.
- 13:02Speaker 2: When you're on call, they call you up, right?
- 13:04Speaker 5: That's right.
- 13:05Speaker 6: And if I'm available to do the hours, then I can.
- 13:09Speaker 2: If you're available?
- 13:09Speaker 6: Because I have another job that's local.
- 13:12Speaker 3: So you're willing to leave those, you know, the retards
- 13:18Speaker 3: sort of hanging in the breeze? Is that what you're saying?
- 13:20Speaker 6: Oh, you need to hang up.
- 13:21Speaker 3: I'm going to hang up now. No, ma'am, I'm just asking.
- 13:23Speaker 2: That's a stupid word to use, David.
- 13:25Speaker 6: You just showed your true colors.
- 13:26Speaker 2: You don't use a word like that.
- 13:27Speaker 3: I'm just asking the lady.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Let me ask the lady the question. Ann Marie, it's Phil.
- 13:33Speaker 6: He just showed his true colors on a.
- 13:34Speaker 3: National radio show. What did I say?
- 13:36Speaker 6: Now everybody knows what kind of guy he is.
- 13:38Speaker 2: The word retard?
- 13:39Speaker 3: Forgive me.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Let me ask the question. If you can't make it,
- 13:44Speaker 2: Ann Marie, they get somebody else, is that it?
- 13:46Speaker 6: They get somebody who's closer, yeah.
- 13:49Speaker 3: Let me ask you something. Why did the two of
- 13:50Speaker 3: you jump on me like that?
- 13:51Speaker 2: You don't use the word retard.
- 13:53Speaker 6: No, I don't. It's very offensive.
- 13:56Speaker 3: All right, I'm sorry. What do you call them?
- 14:00Speaker 6: Developmentally disabled adults.
- 14:04Speaker 3: I'm sorry, say that again.
- 14:05Speaker 5: Developmentally disabled adults.
- 14:09Speaker 3: Boy, that's a long way to run for... All right.
- 14:11Speaker 6: Yeah, it's a lot easier to be offensive.
- 14:15Speaker 3: All right, so you're working with these kids that are physically,
- 14:19Speaker 3: mentally retardation, right?
- 14:23Speaker 7: Yes.
- 14:23Speaker 3: Okay. And when you say you can't make it to work,
- 14:29Speaker 3: then the mentally retarded... Oh, you're an idiot.
- 14:34Speaker 6: I'm hanging up.
- 14:35Speaker 3: How am I an idiot? I'm just saying. That's not
- 14:38Speaker 3: how you hang up. You don't do this, ma'am. What
- 14:41Speaker 3: a retard.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey.
- 14:44Speaker 3: What?
- 14:46Speaker 2: The word ain't retard. The word ain't mentally retard. Anything
- 14:50Speaker 2: like that.
- 14:50Speaker 3: I'm sorry. I'm a radio broadcaster.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Okay, if you're so clued in as a broadcaster of
- 14:54Speaker 1: the culture, developmentally disabled.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Well, she hung up and she didn't answer the question,
- 14:59Speaker 3: which is this. If she can't come in, when she's
- 15:02Speaker 3: on call, when they're counting on her to come in,
- 15:05Speaker 3: she's leaving a lot of these kids hanging, twisting in
- 15:08Speaker 3: the wind. A whole ward full of them crawling around
- 15:12Speaker 3: on the linoleum floor because she couldn't make it because
- 15:15Speaker 3: she doesn't want to spend the extra money for the gas.
- 15:17Speaker 3: She'd rather use the money for the gas so she
- 15:20Speaker 3: can what? Go shopping? God! And then she goes to
- 15:24Speaker 3: hang the phone up. Did you hear it, Phil? She goes, oh,
- 15:26Speaker 3: excuse me. See, I scored two big points with her.
- 15:29Speaker 3: If she doesn't show up to work, they start licking
- 15:31Speaker 3: salami and sticking it on windows. Now, that's as plain
- 15:34Speaker 3: as I can make it.
- 15:35Speaker 1: I think everything you're saying here may be true, but
- 15:38Speaker 1: you're not doing yourself any favors by putting it the
- 15:40Speaker 1: way you're putting it.
- 15:41Speaker 3: What am I saying?
- 15:42Speaker 2: Just hold on.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Whether or not we're doing the hurricane relief coverage, I
- 15:48Speaker 1: don't want to become secondary to a discussion.
- 15:52Speaker 2: of individuals' work habits.
- 15:55Speaker 1: I mean, we're talking about, is it a viable topic
- 15:58Speaker 1: to continue to talk about?
- 16:01Speaker 2: I believe it is.
- 16:02Speaker 1: And I don't think it's time for me to blow
- 16:03Speaker 1: out an hour of programming for Bob Duganshire and his
- 16:06Speaker 1: real estate seminar.
- 16:08Speaker 2: World famous Phil Hendry Show.
- 16:10Speaker 8: The Phil Hendry Show. Triumph of intelligence over ignorance. The
- 16:17Speaker 8: Phil Hendry Show is back.
- 16:18Speaker 2: David G.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Hall on the line with us, the vice president of
- 16:20Speaker 1: syndication for the Phil Hendry Show, and we are talking
- 16:22Speaker 1: about the Hurricane Katrina and should the coverage continue. David,
- 16:26Speaker 1: I'm looking right now, should our broadcast coverage continue? I'm
- 16:28Speaker 1: looking right now at the Superdome in New Orleans. I'm
- 16:30Speaker 1: looking at a couple of people who have survived this flood,
- 16:34Speaker 1: the looting that has been going on.
- 16:37Speaker 3: By the way, I did not think it was responsible
- 16:39Speaker 3: of you to say that you thought looting was okay.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Well, can I just hold on for a minute?
- 16:44Speaker 1: I said there's nobody in the stores to sell to
- 16:48Speaker 1: people things they need. So if people have to go
- 16:50Speaker 1: in there and take, I understand it.
- 16:53Speaker 3: OK, well, it's still looting, Phil. And that's what I
- 16:56Speaker 3: mean about continuing with this story. If you move on
- 16:58Speaker 3: to the Bob Dugan's real estate seminar or the Cindy
- 17:01Speaker 3: Sheehan story, you wouldn't be sending out mixed signals that
- 17:04Speaker 3: encourage crime.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Well, I'm not encouraging crime.
- 17:08Speaker 3: You know, there's rape going on down there.
- 17:09Speaker 2: I'm not encouraging that at all. I'm saying that the.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Obviously, they should shoot to kill anybody that's committing rape
- 17:15Speaker 1: or any violence.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Shoot to kill, my opinion.
- 17:18Speaker 1: But as far as the looters go, I don't know
- 17:20Speaker 1: whether these people are in dire need of things or not.
- 17:23Speaker 3: What about the guns that are being looted?
- 17:25Speaker 1: I don't know what to say about that, other than
- 17:28Speaker 1: people probably feel they need some protection, too, about what's
- 17:30Speaker 1: going on down there.
- 17:31Speaker 3: See, I want to just make this point. That last
- 17:33Speaker 3: lady was on the phone. She was telling me about
- 17:36Speaker 3: her job. And then she wanted to hang up on me,
- 17:39Speaker 3: and this is what she did. See?
- 17:42Speaker 2: So?
- 17:43Speaker 3: But doesn't that prove to you that she cannot possibly
- 17:48Speaker 3: have a grasp on a opinion if she thinks this
- 17:54Speaker 3: is hanging up a phone?
- 17:57Speaker 2: She obviously hit the button by mistake.
- 17:59Speaker 3: No, I think that, and the other point I wanted
- 18:01Speaker 3: to make, I'm sorry that I used the word retard.
- 18:05Speaker 3: What I meant to say, but I arm wrestled one
- 18:07Speaker 3: of them once. And I thought I was going to
- 18:10Speaker 3: have my arm ripped off at the socket. So, you know,
- 18:16Speaker 3: these people need help.
- 18:19Speaker 2: You arm wrestled who? A kid that was developmentally disabled?
- 18:21Speaker 3: Yes.
- 18:23Speaker 2: And he almost ripped your arm off?
- 18:24Speaker 3: Yes, they're very strong.
- 18:28Speaker 2: I don't know what that has to do with what
- 18:29Speaker 2: we're talking about.
- 18:30Speaker 3: Well, she's talking about how she's on call and she
- 18:32Speaker 3: needs to go out and help these people. She better
- 18:35Speaker 3: watch her step with them. Because if they're that strong...
- 18:39Speaker 3: And a lot of the disabled people are so strong,
- 18:44Speaker 3: they'll tear your head right off at the shoulders while
- 18:48Speaker 3: they think they're giving you a kiss. That's how mixed
- 18:52Speaker 3: up they are.
- 18:54Speaker 2: I don't think you're qualified to talk about it, man.
- 18:56Speaker 3: Well, really? Oh, okay. And you're qualified to talk about
- 18:59Speaker 3: hurricanes because you lived in New Orleans.
- 19:01Speaker 2: No, sir.
- 19:02Speaker 1: I don't think saying that... I don't even want to
- 19:05Speaker 1: go there.
- 19:06Speaker 7: 1-800-449-8686.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Ophelia, go ahead.
- 19:09Speaker 3: They're stronger than one of those monkeys. First of all,
- 19:12Speaker 3: I must.
- 19:12Speaker 4: Say, obviously the gentleman is purposely saying the things he's
- 19:18Speaker 4: saying so that he can up your ratings because he's
- 19:23Speaker 4: not for real, correct?
- 19:24Speaker 3: I'm not for real, ma'am. Let me ask you something.
- 19:27Speaker 3: Let me ask you something. Right now in New Orleans,
- 19:30Speaker 3: there's a tragedy going on. I understand that. But that's
- 19:33Speaker 3: a local story. I am trying to get a program
- 19:37Speaker 3: on which is a paying customer, the Bob Dugan Show
- 19:41Speaker 3: Real Estate Seminars.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Yeah, in lieu of news. And I don't think it's right.
- 19:46Speaker 3: You don't think it's right? No.
- 19:47Speaker 4: In the position that you're in, if you really wanted
- 19:49Speaker 4: Dugan on, you would have him on.
- 19:51Speaker 3: His name is Bob Dugan. And you wouldn't be going.
- 19:52Speaker 4: Through this charade that you're putting on air. And you
- 19:56Speaker 4: couldn't possibly be that inhumane that you honestly believe that
- 20:00Speaker 4: that story down there is just a local story.
- 20:03Speaker 3: Ma'am, I'm telling you that that story is a local story.
- 20:09Speaker 3: You're dry as a bone. I'm dry as a bone.
- 20:12Speaker 4: You don't even know me, so you can't tell me
- 20:14Speaker 4: what I am.
- 20:15Speaker 3: Okay, what, are you wading around in pool water right now?
- 20:17Speaker 4: Certainly I'm not, but you don't know that I'm dry
- 20:20Speaker 4: as a bone.
- 20:21Speaker 3: Yes, you are.
- 20:21Speaker 4: Oh, like I said, you can't tell me.
- 20:23Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I'm telling you right now, you're dry.
- 20:25Speaker 5: Okay, you can say what you want.
- 20:27Speaker 3: No, I know you are. No, you know you are.
- 20:30Speaker 4: You obviously can't be inhumane.
- 20:33Speaker 3: Ma'am, I'll tell you right now. You are dry as
- 20:35Speaker 3: a bone.
- 20:35Speaker 5: Hold on, hold on.
- 20:36Speaker 3: Hold on. All right, both of you. Hold on, both
- 20:38Speaker 3: of you.
- 20:51Speaker 1: I'm simply saying that, you know, let's keep it civilized.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Number one, the story in New Orleans, you know full well,
- 20:57Speaker 1: is a national story.
- 20:59Speaker 3: Look it, Phil, how many times do you want to
- 21:00Speaker 3: go through this? Just because New Orleans makes gas, you know, gasoline,
- 21:06Speaker 3: all right? I understand that. There's a lot of other
- 21:09Speaker 3: places that make it. Is that the national impact it's having?
- 21:13Speaker 1: People are concerned. It's a humanitarian tragedy. People want to
- 21:17Speaker 1: know how they can help.
- 21:18Speaker 3: They want to know how they can help for five
- 21:21Speaker 3: minutes until their Pop-Tart's done. That's how they want to know.
- 21:27Speaker 3: You know, I want to point out again, this is
- 21:29Speaker 3: not how you do it. You don't hang up a phone.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Okay, if that's your big point, 1-800, you'll need.
- 21:36Speaker 2: To get out of that hot tub, man.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Oh, I'm soaking. Sorry.
- 21:39Speaker 7: 1-800-449-8686.
- 21:41Speaker 8: The Phil Henry Show is back.
- 21:43Speaker 2: All right, we're back. David G.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Hall, we're back on the air, David, talking about Hurricane Katrina,
- 21:48Speaker 1: the aftermath really of Hurricane Katrina, the flooding of the
- 21:50Speaker 1: city of New Orleans. An entire city, David, virtually has
- 21:55Speaker 1: been blotted from the map.
- 21:58Speaker 3: This is the dramatics that I think adds to the panic, Phil.
- 22:04Speaker 3: We don't want people to panic any more than they
- 22:05Speaker 3: already are. I understand there's bad things happening in New Orleans.
- 22:08Speaker 3: And when people like you get on the air, I'm
- 22:10Speaker 3: a broadcaster. I've been in this business just as long
- 22:12Speaker 3: as you. When you get on the air and you
- 22:14Speaker 3: talk about something that's a catastrophe, it's the worst thing
- 22:16Speaker 3: that's ever happened, all you do is panic people. And again,
- 22:20Speaker 3: I go back to that lady who called last hour
- 22:22Speaker 3: who thought she'd made all these great points, and then
- 22:24Speaker 3: she said, I'm hanging up, and this is a... See that?
- 22:28Speaker 3: She did that.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Now, what difference does it make if she mishit the button?
- 22:31Speaker 3: That is a woman who's so nervous and panic-stricken... about
- 22:37Speaker 3: being attacked. She can't hang up. She says, I think
- 22:41Speaker 3: I'll hang the phone up. And then she hits 7.
- 22:43Speaker 3: That's not how you hang up a phone.
- 22:45Speaker 2: No, she wasn't. How many times have you... All right.
- 22:49Speaker 2: I don't want to get into that. I simply want
- 22:51Speaker 2: to say that the people are weighing in on this.
- 22:55Speaker 3: Look, Bob Dugan sure is a real estate seminar, which
- 22:58Speaker 3: is what we were supposed to have on. I wanted
- 23:00Speaker 3: to bring one more thing, and then you could take
- 23:01Speaker 3: a call, Phil. Bob's sister Kathleen and I have been...
- 23:06Speaker 3: good friends for two years. You know that. Yeah. I
- 23:11Speaker 3: asked her to marry me, and I want to just
- 23:14Speaker 3: make that announcement on your show, last month. And I'm
- 23:19Speaker 3: very happy. I've never been happier. And this is a
- 23:22Speaker 3: family enterprise that I think can do just as much
- 23:25Speaker 3: for the spirit of America, for helping people build. His
- 23:33Speaker 3: real estate seminars... And yes, I'm a part of that family,
- 23:37Speaker 3: as you are a part of that family, Phil, if
- 23:39Speaker 3: you'll interview Bob Dugenture. If you don't interview him, then
- 23:41Speaker 3: you're not a part of that family. How do you
- 23:44Speaker 3: feel about that?
- 23:46Speaker 2: I want to get to some phone calls.
- 23:47Speaker 3: No, how do you feel about not being a part
- 23:49Speaker 3: of Bob Dugenture?
- 23:51Speaker 2: I don't care if I'm part of Bob Dugenture. You know, David.
- 23:55Speaker 3: Well, all right, fine, but.
- 23:57Speaker 2: You know, right now I'm looking at a fire now.
- 24:00Speaker 2: There's a fire going. What is that? Is that New Orleans?
- 24:03Speaker 2: All these poor people.
- 24:05Speaker 3: You know, everything you say panics people more and more
- 24:08Speaker 3: until when they hang up the phone, that's what they do.
- 24:11Speaker 2: Let me get to some phones. There's a fire.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Oh, it's a house fire in New Orleans, and this
- 24:14Speaker 1: is obviously a tape.
- 24:16Speaker 2: 1-800-449-8686. Here is Gene. Gene, go ahead.
- 24:20Speaker 5: Hi, Bob. This is a national catastrophe. It is not
- 24:24Speaker 5: a regional catastrophe.
- 24:25Speaker 3: How do you figure that, sir?
- 24:26Speaker 5: It has world impact.
- 24:28Speaker 3: How do you figure that?
- 24:30Speaker 5: Because we live in a world community. I know people
- 24:33Speaker 5: in New Orleans. I know people in New Orleans who
- 24:36Speaker 5: have relatives in Houston, and they've gone to Houston, and
- 24:39Speaker 5: they're going to live there for three or four months.
- 24:41Speaker 5: They've lost their homes.
- 24:42Speaker 3: Sir, I know people who live in Turkey. Does that
- 24:46Speaker 3: mean that when something happens in Turkey, it's an international incident?
- 24:50Speaker 5: It is the United States of America, and a major
- 24:53Speaker 5: portion of our country has been impacted by a national
- 24:57Speaker 5: natural disaster.
- 24:59Speaker 3: No doubt it's a horrible thing. No doubt it should
- 25:01Speaker 3: be dealt with, and it will be dealt with. But
- 25:06Speaker 3: when you say a city of 500,000 people is a
- 25:08Speaker 3: major portion, that's 500,000 people. That's not exactly.
- 25:13Speaker 5: You're talking about a million people.
- 25:15Speaker 3: All right, that still is not even.
- 25:17Speaker 5: It's not even one of.
- 25:18Speaker 3: The top 20 most populous cities.
- 25:20Speaker 2: What difference does it make?
- 25:21Speaker 1: We've never had a city underwater before, David. We've never
- 25:24Speaker 1: had something like this happen, okay?
- 25:27Speaker 5: I live in Pennsylvania, and here in Pennsylvania, people are
- 25:31Speaker 5: collecting money, they're collecting resources, and people are organizing themselves
- 25:36Speaker 5: when the time comes to go down there and put
- 25:38Speaker 5: their muscle into the recovery effort.
- 25:39Speaker 3: But you wouldn't be doing that if Bill O'Reilly wasn't
- 25:41Speaker 3: talking about it.
- 25:43Speaker 5: No, sir, I am a liberal, I'm not a conservative,
- 25:46Speaker 5: I'm a retired United Methodist pastor, and I'm doing my part,
- 25:51Speaker 5: and everybody around here is doing it.
- 25:53Speaker 3: Have you ever served in the military?
- 25:55Speaker 8: No, sir.
- 25:55Speaker 9: Never?
- 25:56Speaker 2: Never.
- 25:57Speaker 6: Nope.
- 25:58Speaker 5: What's that have to do with it? This is a
- 26:00Speaker 5: national disaster.
- 26:01Speaker 3: I just wonder if you know what the, you know,
- 26:04Speaker 3: and I would appreciate it, sir. We have FCC considerations.
- 26:07Speaker 3: I would rather you not say the word muscle.
- 26:11Speaker 8: Why?
- 26:11Speaker 5: The word what?
- 26:12Speaker 3: The word muscle, the way you said that. Why? I'm
- 26:17Speaker 3: just talking about the FCC decency guidelines.
- 26:19Speaker 1: He said the word muscle in relation to something else. Now, Gene,
- 26:23Speaker 1: you are raising money there. You're in Pennsylvania. We're just
- 26:25Speaker 1: talking about the Johnstown flood.
- 26:28Speaker 3: That's another thing. You bring up something in the 19th century. Wow,
- 26:31Speaker 3: that's sexy.
- 26:31Speaker 2: Woo!
- 26:33Speaker 3: All of this put together spells another kind of disaster,
- 26:38Speaker 3: a disaster of advertising that will have Phil Hendry buried
- 26:42Speaker 3: up to his neck in mud.
- 26:43Speaker 5: You have a real estate seminar on your mind. I
- 26:47Speaker 5: wonder if that could impact the needs of New Orleans.
- 26:50Speaker 2: You also mentioned that you're marrying this guy's sister.
- 26:52Speaker 3: Yes, and it's got nothing to do with his business.
- 26:55Speaker 3: Is that nepotism? Sir, I'm in love with that woman.
- 26:59Speaker 5: Has nothing to do with what's programmed tonight. You keep
- 27:01Speaker 5: up the good work, Bob. We need to hear what
- 27:03Speaker 5: you have to say, and the nation needs a voice,
- 27:06Speaker 5: and you're giving the voice.
- 27:07Speaker 3: By the way, his name's Phil. Nice going. Phil.
- 27:09Speaker 2: All right, the gentleman misspoke my name.
- 27:12Speaker 3: Nice going, Gene. There's a million people out there who
- 27:15Speaker 3: want to know what this guy's name is, and you
- 27:16Speaker 3: just called him Bob. Scored for me.
- 27:19Speaker 5: Phil, my apologies.
- 27:20Speaker 2: Gene, thank you. No, I understand, Gene, and I appreciate
- 27:22Speaker 2: your comment tonight.
- 27:23Speaker 5: First time I've ever heard the problem.
- 27:24Speaker 2: No, you're very kind, sir.
- 27:25Speaker 3: 1-800-44... Why are you being... You know, look at you all. Ew.
- 27:29Speaker 3: Why don't you step up to the plate and tell
- 27:31Speaker 3: that guy, thanks for butchering my name to pieces. Now
- 27:34Speaker 3: when somebody tries to remember it, if someone asks him
- 27:36Speaker 3: in an audience survey, they'll say, yeah, the Bob Hendry show.
- 27:41Speaker 3: I'm starting to... I'm starting to prune. Get me a towel. I.
- 27:44Speaker 7: What?
- 27:45Speaker 3: Nothing. I'm talking to my wife. I'm starting to prove.
- 27:47Speaker 2: I thought you're getting married.
- 27:48Speaker 3: I mean, I'm getting married. She's my fiancee. Kathleen's with me.
- 27:53Speaker 2: Kathleen Duganshire.
- 27:54Speaker 3: Yeah. 1-800-449-8686.
- 27:55Speaker 2: Let's go to Tricia. Tricia, go ahead.
- 28:00Speaker 10: I just wanted to say that this is a national issue.
- 28:04Speaker 10: It's a national tragedy that we have going on. And
- 28:06Speaker 10: the only reason why I'm listening to this program is
- 28:09Speaker 10: because I've been on the road, and I want to
- 28:11Speaker 10: find out what's going on with the people down there.
- 28:13Speaker 10: And not that Bob Dugan sure is not important, but
- 28:17Speaker 10: right now nobody wants to hear about real estate. We
- 28:20Speaker 10: have Americans dying. And they are our responsibility. And I
- 28:25Speaker 10: want to hear about that.
- 28:26Speaker 2: That's a good point, Tricia.
- 28:27Speaker 10: And that's why I've called in.
- 28:28Speaker 2: That's a good point, Tricia.
- 28:29Speaker 3: David. Hold on for a minute, Tricia. Real estate is
- 28:32Speaker 3: what is happening. What's happening in New Orleans is all
- 28:35Speaker 3: about real estate. And I'll tell you something else. And
- 28:38Speaker 3: I don't want to say something that you will consider
- 28:40Speaker 3: to be in bad taste. But let me tell you something.
- 28:43Speaker 3: When they finally dry that place out, you're going to
- 28:46Speaker 3: be able to go in there and pick up lots
- 28:48Speaker 3: for a song.
- 28:49Speaker 2: That is really. You know what, dude?
- 28:51Speaker 6: What?
- 28:52Speaker 1: You know, talking about how cheap the real estate's going
- 28:54Speaker 1: to be in New Orleans is really dirty pool.
- 28:57Speaker 3: What is that dirty pool?
- 28:59Speaker 2: Let's go down there and carpet bag, man. Let's buy
- 29:01Speaker 2: up a bunch of lots.
- 29:03Speaker 10: You know, I don't know what.
- 29:05Speaker 5: Bob.
- 29:06Speaker 3: Duganshire can tell you how.
- 29:07Speaker 2: Will you forget about Duganshire for a minute? Right.
- 29:11Speaker 10: You know, I don't know really why you are on
- 29:14Speaker 10: the show, because I really feel, and I don't mean
- 29:16Speaker 10: to be.
- 29:16Speaker 3: I'm a vice president of syndication. Yeah.
- 29:18Speaker 10: Okay, well, I guess then you do have the right.
- 29:21Speaker 3: Yes, ma'am.
- 29:21Speaker 10: But can I just say that I believe that your
- 29:25Speaker 10: perceptions probably reflect about 1% of the population?
- 29:29Speaker 3: Ma'am, I.
- 29:30Speaker 10: Maybe, if that much?
- 29:32Speaker 3: I don't know how you could say that. I'm simply
- 29:33Speaker 3: saying that, you know, when you look at... You're a woman.
- 29:38Speaker 3: Bob Duganshire's sister, Kathleen, and I are soon to be wed.
- 29:43Speaker 10: Okay, you've mentioned that probably about three or four times now.
- 29:46Speaker 2: What does that get to do?
- 29:48Speaker 10: I wish you well.
- 29:49Speaker 3: Thank you very much.
- 29:50Speaker 10: But you have a national tragedy right now, and so
- 29:52Speaker 10: I think that takes precedent.
- 29:54Speaker 3: Well, ma'am, you're very right. You're very right. Well, I
- 29:57Speaker 3: would say this. Do you want to keep talking about
- 30:00Speaker 3: people waiting for water that is soaked in diarrhea, or
- 30:04Speaker 3: do you want to talk about Bob Duganshire and Pac-Man
- 30:06Speaker 3: and things like that?
- 30:07Speaker 2: Nobody is talking about water soaked. Oh, my God.
- 30:11Speaker 10: I think you and Bob Duganshire's sister should go to
- 30:14Speaker 10: dinner and discuss real estate until you are very happy,
- 30:19Speaker 10: and let the rest of the country know. Help these
- 30:22Speaker 10: people who are in a tragic situation right now.
- 30:24Speaker 6: That's what I think.
- 30:25Speaker 2: People are raising money across the country.
- 30:27Speaker 3: Look at how you pander, Henry. How much money have
- 30:29Speaker 3: you raised?
- 30:30Speaker 2: You want to know something?
- 30:30Speaker 1: I raise a million bucks for my friend's place down
- 30:33Speaker 1: on Hollywood Boulevard, okay? You know the money I've raised
- 30:35Speaker 1: for charity. How much have you raised?
- 30:37Speaker 3: How dare you ask me that question? I'm trying to.
- 30:40Speaker 2: You're sitting in a hot tub tonight.
- 30:42Speaker 1: I've got people calling and want to hear about what's
- 30:43Speaker 1: going on in New Orleans, and you're telling me about
- 30:45Speaker 1: Bob Duganshire, his sister Kathleen, and how you can pick
- 30:48Speaker 1: up those lots in New Orleans for a freaking song.
- 30:51Speaker 3: Oh, listen to her laugh. Why don't you hang the
- 30:52Speaker 3: phone up like this, too? There you go. What are
- 30:55Speaker 3: you laughing at? Why are you laughing? Ma'am, you told
- 31:00Speaker 3: me there's a tragedy going down in New Orleans, and
- 31:02Speaker 3: yet you're laughing it up.
- 31:04Speaker 10: I'm not actually laughing at you. It's pretty ridiculous at
- 31:08Speaker 10: this point.
- 31:09Speaker 6: But that was.
- 31:09Speaker 2: The comment that I wanted to make. Thank you very much.
- 31:11Speaker 10: I think we need to focus on what's going on
- 31:13Speaker 10: in the country right now.
- 31:14Speaker 3: Okay, and now she's going to hang up. Thank you.
- 31:17Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 31:18Speaker 2: You know, do you think that that's the only point
- 31:20Speaker 2: you've made tonight?
- 31:22Speaker 3: You know, I get the sense you're laughing at me,
- 31:24Speaker 3: and you know as well as I do that as
- 31:26Speaker 3: the vice president of syndication, you laugh at me, I
- 31:30Speaker 3: lose credibility.
- 31:31Speaker 1: David, you're sitting in a hot tub tonight talking on
- 31:34Speaker 1: end about some real estate seminar.
- 31:36Speaker 8: Whose?
- 31:37Speaker 2: Bob Duganshire's. There, I got the name in now 50 times.
- 31:41Speaker 3: I'm marrying his sister. Kathleen Duganshire is one of the
- 31:44Speaker 3: finest women I know. And yeah, I'm going to have
- 31:46Speaker 3: a piece of the business. Someday, I hope to be
- 31:49Speaker 3: able to retire. Oh, excuse me, Phil. I didn't want
- 31:53Speaker 3: to interrupt your program on death, mayhem, rioting, looting, and raping. Sorry.
- 32:00Speaker 3: Let me just hang up. Oops, that's not how you
- 32:03Speaker 3: do it.
- 32:04Speaker 2: Phil Henry Show.
- 32:05Speaker 3: Did your dad ever put a banana in your shorts?
- 32:07Speaker 8: The Phil Henry Show is back.
- 32:09Speaker 3: I want to say something.
- 32:10Speaker 7: What?
- 32:10Speaker 3: I want, uh, because I just heard from Bud that
- 32:13Speaker 3: Bohan has been bugging Wayne. Bud, what's going on?
- 32:16Speaker 2: Bud, what's going on?
- 32:17Speaker 3: Greg Bohan comes from Miami. Look, Bohan... Listen, Blinky, pay
- 32:21Speaker 3: attention to your job down there.
- 32:23Speaker 2: What do you mean, Blinky?
- 32:24Speaker 3: It's just a gag.
- 32:25Speaker 2: You know that he's visually impaired.
- 32:27Speaker 3: Oh, here we go again. You and that woman last
- 32:29Speaker 3: hour with the whole, I'm going to hang up now
- 32:32Speaker 3: because you offended the mentally, you know, the people that
- 32:36Speaker 3: are wrong in the head. Okay, just tongue up. Just, hey,
- 32:41Speaker 3: bow head. Tell you what you do, man. Just look
- 32:45Speaker 3: at the ceiling and work the board.
- 32:48Speaker 2: That's really cruel, man.
- 32:50Speaker 3: I'll lighten up.
- 32:52Speaker 2: 1-800-4... Keep calling Wayne.
- 32:55Speaker 3: Hey, Bohan, quit bugging Wayne. Lose his private number, okay?
- 32:59Speaker 3: He's not putting you in any movie he ever makes.
- 33:02Speaker 3: So forget it.
- 33:04Speaker 1: All right.
- 33:04Speaker 6: 1-800-449-8686.
- 33:04Speaker 2: Donald, go ahead. You're on the Phil Henry Show.
- 33:10Speaker 3: Donald?
- 33:11Speaker 5: Hello?
- 33:11Speaker 2: Yes, sir. Go ahead.
- 33:13Speaker 9: Yeah, so I'm just saying that that is a valid point.
- 33:16Speaker 9: That's just a natural disaster, man.
- 33:20Speaker 3: What is?
- 33:20Speaker 9: The hurricane, talking about New Orleans and everything.
- 33:25Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah. Well, New Orleans, yeah. Is this one of
- 33:28Speaker 3: the Neville brothers? What? Forgive me, sir, but you sound
- 33:34Speaker 3: to me like Arthur Neville. Like who? Arthur Neville, one
- 33:38Speaker 3: of the Neville brothers. This isn't Arthur Neville, is it?
- 33:40Speaker 2: No, it's not Arthur Neville.
- 33:41Speaker 9: No, I wish I was. I'm a truck driver.
- 33:42Speaker 3: Oh, you're a truck driver. All right. Because Arthur sounds...
- 33:45Speaker 3: You sure? Look, you're right, sir, and we're going to
- 33:47Speaker 3: do everything we can to help the people of New Orleans.
- 33:49Speaker 3: It's just that I've got a rare opportunity to marry
- 33:53Speaker 3: into a family that's got a good thing going.
- 33:56Speaker 2: Why does that have to come on my show?
- 33:58Speaker 9: I understand that, man.
- 34:00Speaker 3: A man's in love with a woman, Kathleen Duganshire. Yes, sir.
- 34:05Speaker 9: Yeah, there's people down there that's lost their loved ones
- 34:07Speaker 9: and everything. I have people from New Orleans that I
- 34:10Speaker 9: haven't heard from yet.
- 34:11Speaker 3: Where are you from, sir? I'm from Mississippi. Mississippi. Now,
- 34:14Speaker 3: I want to ask you something, because I always love this.
- 34:17Speaker 3: Have you ever been to the crawdad hole? Do you
- 34:19Speaker 3: know that place? It's in Jacksonville. The crawdad hole, yeah.
- 34:25Speaker 9: Where is that located?
- 34:26Speaker 3: Well, in any forest.
- 34:28Speaker 2: What do you mean in any forest?
- 34:30Speaker 3: It's where they go fishing for crawdad.
- 34:32Speaker 2: What are you talking about?
- 34:33Speaker 3: Where are you all located?
- 34:34Speaker 5: You must be in, like, California.
- 34:35Speaker 3: No, sir, I am not. I'm in downtown Jackson, Mississippi. Oh,
- 34:39Speaker 3: you are? Yes, sir. And I'm simply saying to you...
- 34:43Speaker 3: If you are a gentleman, and you're from Mississippi, so
- 34:46Speaker 3: Mississippi's been affected by this hurricane, too. Yeah. I think
- 34:49Speaker 3: we need to dry the whole place out and get
- 34:51Speaker 3: people relief and get them what they need. But are
- 34:54Speaker 3: you aware that today's the 25th anniversary of Pac-Man? No,
- 34:56Speaker 3: you're not. Are you aware that Cindy Sheehan is on
- 34:58Speaker 3: her way to Washington? No, you're not.
- 35:00Speaker 4: Why?
- 35:01Speaker 3: Because Henry is on here going on about this hurricane.
- 35:04Speaker 3: There's nothing we can do about it. Okay, but I understand.
- 35:07Speaker 3: If I could, I'd go down there with a big
- 35:08Speaker 3: glass and I'd start drinking all that water away.
- 35:11Speaker 9: Yeah, I understand that Pac-Man turned 25 and everything, man,
- 35:14Speaker 9: but like when the towers fell and everything, that was
- 35:17Speaker 9: on every news station.
- 35:18Speaker 3: When the what fell?
- 35:20Speaker 9: That was on every news station. This was another natural disaster.
- 35:22Speaker 3: What tower?
- 35:23Speaker 9: This was the second natural disaster.
- 35:24Speaker 3: You said towers failed?
- 35:26Speaker 2: The towers fell?
- 35:28Speaker 9: Yeah, when they were attacked by terrorists.
- 35:31Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 35:31Speaker 2: That was all over the place, David.
- 35:33Speaker 3: So Bob Duganshire is a wonderful man.
- 35:36Speaker 2: Oh, hold on with Bob Duganshire.
- 35:38Speaker 9: I understand that, you know, but he just needs a
- 35:40Speaker 9: way to turn.
- 35:41Speaker 2: No kidding, man.
- 35:41Speaker 9: Something else has come up more important.
- 35:43Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 35:44Speaker 3: Did I tell you I'm marrying your sister?
- 35:47Speaker 1: Yeah, you told me that.
- 35:48Speaker 3: Okay, all right.
- 35:49Speaker 2: All right, listen, Donald, thank you, sir.
- 35:51Speaker 3: All right, thank you.
- 35:52Speaker 2: Good talking to you.
- 35:56Speaker 3: Hey, Bohan, I'm not kidding.
- 35:57Speaker 2: 1-800-449-8686, Phil Hendry Show.
- 36:01Speaker 8: The Phil Hendry Show. Hey, Jack Ball. It's entertainment.
- 36:05Speaker 2: Where are you now, David?
- 36:06Speaker 3: We're at dinner right now. We actually have a dinner, Phil,
- 36:08Speaker 3: in the clubhouse here at Del Mar for the night racing.
- 36:11Speaker 3: But the point that I'm making to you is you're
- 36:14Speaker 3: on about New Orleans. The people there, it's a terrible thing.
- 36:20Speaker 3: But I just got to tell you, I'm enjoying the
- 36:23Speaker 3: company of Kathleen Duganshire, Bob's sister.
- 36:25Speaker 2: At Del Mar for night racing. Here is Stacy.
- 36:28Speaker 3: I don't think that needed to be said.
- 36:30Speaker 2: Stacey, go ahead.
- 36:31Speaker 7: Yeah, I just think you need to stop talking about
- 36:35Speaker 7: Bob and Kathleen and how wonderful they are and pray
- 36:40Speaker 7: and hope that the people in Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi
- 36:44Speaker 7: recover and that they gain their health back.
- 36:49Speaker 6: And get off your high horse.
- 36:51Speaker 3: That's a really good time for the quarter pool.
- 36:54Speaker 2: The lady's on the phone.
- 36:55Speaker 3: I'm sorry, what'd you say, ma'am?
- 36:58Speaker 7: Ma'am?
- 36:58Speaker 8: I think, yes.
- 36:59Speaker 3: Go ahead, say it again.
- 37:02Speaker 6: I think that he.
- 37:03Speaker 7: Needs to get off his high horse about Bob and
- 37:08Speaker 7: Kathleen and pray for.
- 37:11Speaker 3: The people in Mississippi.
- 37:13Speaker 2: Excuse me for a minute, Stacy. Are you listening to
- 37:15Speaker 2: this lady?
- 37:16Speaker 3: Come on, come on, come on, come on. 2-1, 2-1, 2-1, 2-1, 2-1! Oh,
- 37:19Speaker 3: my God! God! Don't spare the whip! Come on! See,
- 37:24Speaker 3: that's the problem with this guy Pierce.
- 37:27Speaker 2: All right, look, never mind. I hope your horse loses.
- 37:30Speaker 9: It did.
- 37:31Speaker 3: Thanks a lot. Good.
