- speaker-0: what I found interesting was there was a rumor at the last legislative that you had an important vote coming up and that some people locked you out of the chamber. Is that true? ⁓ speaker-1: Yeah. So ⁓ l let me Yes, it did actually happen. So I'll I'll give you a little background on the ⁓ the way the legislature's setup 'cause I've been through two legislative sessions. As mentioned before, I'm president of the Senate, so I run the floor session every single day. So the legislature is made up of the assembly and the senate. The ⁓ both sessions, the s the Democrats had the majority in the Senate and the majority in the assembly, ⁓ which means they could ⁓ pass whatever they wanted. They could hold hearings w on whatever they wanted. ⁓ they didn't have to listen to any Republicans. They didn't have to listen to ⁓ any Republican ⁓ bills. A lot of the bills that the governor introduced didn't get a hearing. A lot of the bills that I introduced did not get a hearing because they control everything and they want to pass their very progressive socialist agenda. And they did. In fact the governor ⁓ in the first session vetoed almost 70 bills, which was twice as many in the history of Nevada. The second session he ⁓ vetoed almost ⁓ 90 bills which exceeded the previous session which was twice as many as any governor that's how bad their policies are they ba basically mimic ⁓ California and they they're power hungry they want to take over the state so to get to your lockout thing what happened was on the ⁓ 120th day at midnight is when the session's over with. The Constitution says you can't pass any, do any business at midnight on 120th day. ⁓ the Democrats in the Senate wanted to pass a resolution that would give them more power on certain committees in the legislature. And they knew if I was running the meeting, they would not have time to do it because I run the meeting very methodical. I pay attention to the ⁓ agenda and we would run out of time. So they decided to rush in there at the last minute before I could get in there, lock the door, started running the meeting without me. And ⁓ it was a complete ⁓ takeover of the ⁓ Nevada Constitution. It was complete ⁓ what they did was diabolical. And luckily I got there in time and I was able to get in there ⁓ before ⁓ they were able to pass the resolution, and then midnight came. And it was signed to die, and that was the end of it. But that that's what the Democrats will do to gain power in this state to pass their agenda. speaker-0: I
