- 0:03No ID is meant for a sane audience. No ID may
- 0:08contain Liberty -oriented content. Pinko discretion
- 0:12is advised. Now, here's No ID with Paul Banducci
- 0:19and Scott Moskowitz. Word up. Welcome back to
- 0:26No ID. It's episode 21, Blackjack of North ID
- 0:30Ho's mainstream media deconstruction. I'm Scott.
- 0:34Blackjack! I'm Paul. Love that game. Great game.
- 0:38Happy to be here, Scott. How you doing? I'm doing
- 0:40good. Although you know what I discovered later
- 0:43in my I don't go to casinos hardly anymore these
- 0:46days, but when I was at them more often in my
- 0:48days working in and playing in the poker world,
- 0:50I graduated at some point from Blackjack to Pi
- 0:54-Gao. You ever played Pi -Gao? Can't say that
- 0:57I have, no. It is a delightful table game. Uh,
- 1:00less swingy and a little slower paced than Blackjack.
- 1:04So if you're looking to hang out at a table game
- 1:06until four o 'clock in the morning, you know,
- 1:08with the getting the waitress, bringing you cocktails,
- 1:10Pie Gow is where it was at. I will add it to
- 1:13my degen to do list. It doesn't ring. It doesn't
- 1:16have as good of a ring to it though, for at least
- 1:18for a show promotion as Blackjack. So here we
- 1:21are in episode 21 and it works much better than
- 1:23Pie Gow. Blackjack. All right, let's get going
- 1:29right away here. What do you think? I got tons
- 1:31of stuff to do and I've been leaving clips on
- 1:33the table in recent episodes. You know, I'm like
- 1:36doing all that, I'm like over preparing and I've
- 1:38got like four or three or four clips that end
- 1:40up or even more sometimes that end up not getting
- 1:42played. So let's get right into it. Well, let's
- 1:45start with some of the stuff that you sent me.
- 1:47Paul is the enviable position of being like,
- 1:51here's what we should cover on the show. and
- 1:53just sort of sends me the stuff. I'm like, all
- 1:54right, well, here we go. I'll just pull all the
- 1:56stuff and get everything ready. And so here we
- 1:59are. It's true. I definitely get the longer end
- 2:02of the stick. I don't know, the better part of
- 2:04the deal. The better part of the deal, for sure.
- 2:06But to be fair, in my defense, you came to me
- 2:09with this idea. And you told me, you're like,
- 2:11I'm the producer. I know how to produce a show.
- 2:12And I went, I don't. So what do I offer? And
- 2:16what I offer is color commentary and ideas. I
- 2:20are a producer and you know what as long as we're
- 2:22talking about 21 and and pie gal Why don't we
- 2:25just start right away with our leader leader
- 2:27leaders trying to protect us from ourselves?
- 2:30With regard to gambling federal agencies claim
- 2:33to regulate sports betting is being challenged
- 2:35by 39 states including Idaho Idaho attorney general
- 2:39row Labrador says the Commodity Futures Trading
- 2:42Commission is trying to use 15 year old Wall
- 2:45Street laws to override state gambling rules
- 2:48In January of 2025, online platforms Kalshi and
- 2:51Crypto .com began offering sports betting by
- 2:54calling it events contracts on federally regulated
- 2:58futures exchanges. The platforms marketed this
- 3:01activity as sports betting and the public used
- 3:03it that way. Kalshi reported over $1 billion
- 3:06in Super Bowl bets alone in February of this
- 3:09year. The Commodity Futures Trading Commission
- 3:12recently sided with online platforms offering
- 3:14sports betting as events contracts. The coalition
- 3:17argues only Congress can grant such powers and
- 3:21states have long regulated gambling. The Ninth
- 3:23Circuit is now reviewing cases on whether states
- 3:26can enforce their own laws against these platforms.
- 3:29The attorney general accused the federal government
- 3:31of trying to override state gambling laws nationwide,
- 3:34saying, quote, Idaho will continue defending
- 3:36our right to regulate gambling as we see fit,
- 3:39end quote. You know, I wish I wish that the states
- 3:44would fight as hard for my right. as an individual
- 3:48to gamble as they fight for their own right to
- 3:50tell me I'm not allowed to do the things that
- 3:52are my right to do. Well they do fight as long
- 3:57as it's the state lottery or horse racing or
- 4:03bingo and raffles if it's for quote charity so
- 4:07you know there are there are the carve -outs
- 4:09the ever so lovely and sense -making carve -outs
- 4:13oh yeah yeah and they always use the same excuse
- 4:16it's for the children Goes to the Permanent Building
- 4:19Fund and to Idaho Public Schools. They say on
- 4:22every single ad, the ad they put on TV, the ads
- 4:25they put on the radio. They even have ads on
- 4:27Pandora for the state lottery, mega millions,
- 4:32Powerball and scratch tickets, which you want
- 4:36to talk about degeneracy. Like I'm a poker player.
- 4:41I love poker. Poker is a highbrow game where
- 4:44if you are working hard at it. and have a talent
- 4:48for it, you win more often than not. It's not
- 4:50guaranteed. There's risk. There's some luck involved.
- 4:53But generally speaking, over the long term, you
- 4:56can be a winning player. That's why people do
- 4:58it professionally. There is nobody or very few,
- 5:01very, very, very few. And I suppose once you've
- 5:03won at one time, you could say you do it professionally,
- 5:06but there's nobody out there who professionally
- 5:08scratches scratch tickets. or plays the lotto
- 5:11professionally. Like, yes, this is something
- 5:13I've studied and I'm good at, and it's a talent,
- 5:15and I've spent countless hours studying lotto
- 5:19tickets to know which ones are the winners and
- 5:22which ones are not. Whereas poker, it's hours
- 5:24and hours and hours and hours and hours. It is
- 5:27a skill. You study the hands. You study positioning
- 5:29on the table. You study bet sizing. You study
- 5:32timing. You study all kinds of things. It's a
- 5:35skill. But that's illegal in the state of Idaho.
- 5:38One red cent goes in the middle and that's illegal.
- 5:41But hey, scratch tickets are legal. Cool beans.
- 5:44And so is making millions of Powerball, where
- 5:46you statistically speaking have a better chance
- 5:48of being struck by lightning while being devoured
- 5:51by a great white shark than you actually do of
- 5:54winning it. True facts. Look it up. Wasn't there
- 5:58wasn't there legislation on the table to with
- 6:01regard to lottery tickets and bulk buying and
- 6:04like that being made illegal? to prevent people
- 6:07from gaming the scratch tickets? Am I dreaming?
- 6:11No, you are not. What it was, you know, I don't
- 6:15know how it actually did. I didn't follow up
- 6:17on it, but we did mention it a few podcasts ago.
- 6:19The gist of it was out of staters. So they had
- 6:23a spate of out of stator, typically group pools
- 6:28from out of staters or corporate group pools
- 6:31engaging in the Idaho. the Idaho raffle. So not
- 6:35the Mega Millions or the Powerball, which is
- 6:38a national thing. That's across the board. That's
- 6:40all 50 states. I believe that's all 50 states
- 6:41and Puerto Rico nationwide. But it's the, what
- 6:45do they call it? The Idaho millions, I think
- 6:47is what they call it. Something along those lines
- 6:48where one person wins, one ticket wins a million.
- 6:51And then there's a couple of lower prizes as
- 6:53well. And what they found is there were group,
- 6:57there were pools. People were pooling together
- 6:59and a lot of them were from out of state because
- 7:01the odds to win It's all relative, right? The
- 7:06odds, quote unquote, were good to win the million
- 7:08dollars in the Idaho million dollar raffle versus
- 7:10a lot of other forms of gambling, I guess, versus
- 7:14the mega millions of the Powerball or whatnot.
- 7:16So anyways, that's what that legislation was
- 7:18about, was to prevent out -of -staters from gaming
- 7:20the system and crowding out Idaho residents for
- 7:25the lottery, the state lottery. Well, yes, it's
- 7:32always the part where liberty never comes up.
- 7:35It just never comes up in these conversations
- 7:37about banning this or, you know, regulating that.
- 7:41Or, you know, maybe not never, but it seems like
- 7:44almost never. Is it like, oh, we want... I thought
- 7:47this was America! Huh? I thought this was America!
- 7:52The legalizing of the medical marijuana or the
- 7:55legalizing of marijuana push that's going on.
- 7:58I'm hearing a lot of conversations about that,
- 8:00where it's like... Well, we look at what it's
- 8:02done to the states that have legalized it. I
- 8:07feel like I do not hear people just the liberty
- 8:10aspect, like, you don't like it, therefore it
- 8:12should be banned. I know that it leads to bad
- 8:16things macro, societally, and therefore it should
- 8:19be banned. It's just the liberty part never enters
- 8:22into these conversations. I'll do you one better.
- 8:26I fought for a tax cap on cigars. pipes and cigars,
- 8:31actually, pipe tobacco and cigars. And the pipe
- 8:33tobacco one I never got through. But the cigar
- 8:35one we finally managed to get through in 2023.
- 8:37So for nine years, I fight to take the taxes
- 8:41on premium cigars because I was in the premium
- 8:42cigar industry. And few people knew how badly
- 8:44we were regulated in tax and still pretty badly,
- 8:47but less so now. Forty percent of wholesale.
- 8:50So as an example, if I were to buy a box of cigars,
- 8:53let's say there's 20 cigars in that box and my
- 8:55wholesale cost is one hundred dollars. Okay,
- 9:00pretty easy math there. My cost is $5 a stick,
- 9:03right? Okay, well, in retail, you typically try
- 9:06to like, and I'm not revealing trade secrets,
- 9:08secrets here. Really, this is just, you know,
- 9:10it's just a given. You try to get Keystone if
- 9:13you can. And Keystone is a fancy word for saying
- 9:15you try to double your money. If you can double
- 9:16your money, you try to double your money. That's
- 9:18pretty standard. A lot of industries do a lot
- 9:19better than that. A lot of industries don't.
- 9:22But in retail and hospitality, you're aiming
- 9:24for that. So formula says I would sell that stick
- 9:27for 10 bucks. Double my money and not a bad price
- 9:32for a good cigar that I might bring in However,
- 9:35we had a wholesale excise tax in Idaho of 40
- 9:39% which means I buy that box for $100 I Pay $40
- 9:45on top of the hundred to the state of Idaho for
- 9:48excise taxes $40 so All of a sudden the the math
- 9:57doesn't look so great and I have to charge a
- 10:00significantly higher price on those cigars while
- 10:03not making any extra money. But everybody has
- 10:05less money to spend now, except for the government,
- 10:07I guess. They've got more money to spend, but
- 10:09that's the worst way to ever put resources. That's
- 10:12the worst place to ever give resources to. Well,
- 10:14I got that spent nine years fighting it. And
- 10:17I finally got a tax cap passed in, let's see,
- 10:202023. And we used models from Oregon and Washington
- 10:23actually to do it. It was one of the few times
- 10:24I'd ever refer to those states as having done
- 10:27something positive, but they did because they've
- 10:28got bigger Premium cigar industries in those
- 10:30states with more clout more political more political
- 10:33clout So the 50 cent tax cap basically said the
- 10:37tax rate doesn't change It's still 40 % just
- 10:40to keep it easy for the for the administrators
- 10:42down there, but it's now capped at 50 cents So
- 10:45effectively every premium cigar that I would
- 10:47bring in now is a 50 cent tax which on a box
- 10:51of 20 sticks. Again, let's say that box was 100
- 10:54bucks, 20 sticks times 50 cents. Well, now that's
- 10:56$10 of tax on that box instead of 40. Massive
- 11:00difference. And it really helped. Duh, shocker.
- 11:03This is going to surprise you, Scott. It helped
- 11:05business. Whoa, right? I sold more cigars. I
- 11:09made more money. And the state saw maybe a small
- 11:12drop in revenue, but it was infinitesimal if
- 11:15it was a drop. And if anything, they might have
- 11:17seen more revenue because I sold significantly
- 11:19more volume. Weird how that works, right? So
- 11:21I bring that up because during that fight and
- 11:24for the year we were successful, one of the biggest
- 11:27things that we kept getting told, we being those
- 11:29of us in the industry who were talking to our
- 11:31legislators and our back and forth as our legislators
- 11:34are trying to push this through. And we know
- 11:36that we in the industry, we're going to have
- 11:39to testify and go before the Senate committees
- 11:42and be like, hey, you know, we're bringing this
- 11:44up. This is a good bill. Here's why this is a
- 11:46good bill. It will help with this, this and this
- 11:48and da da da. Anyways, long story, but here's
- 11:51the punchline. Time and time again, we were reminded
- 11:54and told and instructed, do not ever under any
- 11:58circumstances bring up the liberty aspect of
- 12:00this issue. Don't do it. Who told you that? It's
- 12:04a loser. In fact, every legislator I talked to
- 12:07and every mover and shaker who also talks to
- 12:12the legislatures, lobbyists, I guess would be
- 12:14the term, or policy specialists is the more polite
- 12:17term, but lobbyists, they say don't ever bring
- 12:19up liberty. it's dead on arrival the moment you
- 12:21start talking about liberty. And it's true. So
- 12:25you, to your question, you know, what about liberty?
- 12:28Ironically, even in the, even in the Idaho legislature,
- 12:31a place that prides itself on being, you know,
- 12:34freedom in America and, you know, a red, red
- 12:37state where we can do what you want. Nah, it's
- 12:40DOA. If you start talking about the liberty aspect
- 12:42of it, what they wanted to hear and what they
- 12:43care about is the economics of it. And the biggest
- 12:45issue for our tax cap bill was we had to assure
- 12:49them that the government would not get less money
- 12:52because of it. That was the biggest issue. That
- 12:55was what we had to convince them on. Nothing
- 12:58else mattered by a wide margin. That was the
- 13:01biggest concern. How much money the government
- 13:03might not be able to steal from us if we passed
- 13:06that bill. And that's how it happened. That's
- 13:09how it goes down there. Pay, well, pay your fair
- 13:18share. Well, we were paying way, way, way more
- 13:20than our customers. Right. Right. Yep. Right.
- 13:24Right. Right. Yeah. So. So now we've got Raul
- 13:29Labrador blasting the feds. And on one hand,
- 13:33you and I agree. States rights are important.
- 13:35And I agree. States rights are. It's the 10th
- 13:38Amendment, man. The states do have the right
- 13:40to govern themselves. I think in pretty much
- 13:42all issues, really. Federalization is a pipe
- 13:45dream now. The marble cake model they teach you
- 13:48in school, that doesn't exist. That's a joke.
- 13:51The feds control everything. It's the power of
- 13:52the purse. But the states push back once in a
- 13:55while. And hilariously, the states are pushing
- 13:57back right now. And almost all of them are pushing
- 14:00back, all 38 that are pushing back because these
- 14:02are all states that have made gambling in almost
- 14:05any form, except for the forms they like, illegal.
- 14:09So like the one time, the one time the feds are
- 14:12like, hey, Maybe this shouldn't be illegal and
- 14:14we're going to do it this way. And this actually
- 14:17would give people the right to do what they want.
- 14:20No, here come our state leaders jumping into
- 14:25thwart liberty once again, like these super anti
- 14:27-heroes that they are. Yep. God bless them for
- 14:31saving us from ourselves. The one time the feds
- 14:34finally maybe give us a right back and the states
- 14:36are like, not on my watch. I got to read you
- 14:41this, the email that I forwarded to you. that
- 14:44this came up. So Attorney General Raul Labrador
- 14:48down in Boise is crowing about this. He's so
- 14:51pleased and proud of himself that he sent an
- 14:54email letting everybody know that he's fighting
- 14:56on behalf of us to not allow us to do the stuff
- 14:58we want without state approval. And this in particular
- 15:03stuck out to me. As he's blah blah blah blah
- 15:07this that and the other and states rights and
- 15:09the federal government's doing stuff that we
- 15:11don't agree with it says states know how to regulate
- 15:14gambling we impose licensing requirements background
- 15:18checks age verifications Well, I gotta do this
- 15:24Let me start over States know how to regulate
- 15:29gambling comrade we impose licensing requirements
- 15:33background checks age verification and responsible
- 15:37gaming programs. The CFTC allows platforms to
- 15:41self -certify. Their contracts with no pre -approval
- 15:45has no gambling -specific regs. States that have
- 15:49legalized sports betting can protect their citizens.
- 15:52Ah, protection, comrade. States that ban sports
- 15:56betting can enforce those bans. That's how it
- 16:00should work. To the gulag for you, comrade. I'll
- 16:06hail our glorious leader, leader, leaders. Protection.
- 16:09Boy, I feel really good that there's a barrier
- 16:12between me and Liberty. Then you should always
- 16:14use protection. You know, you really need that
- 16:16barrier. Oh, by the way, everyone in the first
- 16:18row, stand up. Thank God I can't play poker in
- 16:25Idaho. Here is another form of our, another one
- 16:30that I like besides leaders that they use all
- 16:32the time. Lawmakers. Which makes them, I believe,
- 16:37gods. We have brought you multiple reports on
- 16:40whether Idaho will join six states and D .C.,
- 16:44which currently have full bans of Kratom. And
- 16:47a Kratom ban is the current bill before Idaho's
- 16:50Health and Welfare Committee. Now, this is we've
- 16:52we've touched on this because it's been on the
- 16:54table for some weeks now. So this is sort of
- 16:57a follow up to let you know where the most latest
- 17:00form of protection where, you know, we're being
- 17:03protected from ourselves. Just a progress report.
- 17:06Thursday. was the second of two very long meetings
- 17:10where lawmakers heard from both sides of the
- 17:13Kratom debate. Kylie died at 23 years old of
- 17:16acute my drudging intoxication, the primary active
- 17:20component of Kratom. We've heard testimony. I
- 17:23think that that's like the active ingredient
- 17:25in Oreos, isn't it? What do you say partially
- 17:27hydrogenated? Kylie died at 23 years old of acute
- 17:31my drudging intoxication. Acute -Midrogenene
- 17:34intoxication? Acute -Midrogenene intoxication,
- 17:38the primary active component of kratom. Sounds
- 17:41like the Mars flu or space aids or something.
- 17:44It is a weird one. And I mean, obviously, like,
- 17:47you know, a grieving mother, I suppose it sounds
- 17:51like. I mean, unfortunately, there is a logic
- 17:55train that's on the table here. If you're going
- 17:56to present this as a reason for why, like, laws
- 18:01should be passed to prevent people from making
- 18:04choices for themselves so they'll have to address
- 18:06it so in other words because a bad thing happened
- 18:09therefore nobody is allowed to possess or use
- 18:13this that's the logic so why do we have cars
- 18:17pray tell things are dangerous ban all the things
- 18:23and yeah we're not trying to make i'm definitely
- 18:25not the children that's what this is i'm sorry
- 18:28i mean i know this this woman is an individual
- 18:30and You know, I'm not taking anything away from
- 18:32her emotional experience, but she's being presented
- 18:35publicly to argue for restricting liberty. So
- 18:39I'm sorry, we have to address it, and there will
- 18:42be a little bit of mockery in there. We've heard
- 18:46testimony portraying kratom as a cure -all, offering
- 18:50relaxation, energy, pain relief, and more. We've
- 18:54heard these similar claims before. The pattern
- 18:56is familiar. We heard it with spice. We heard
- 18:59it with bath salt. Substances that are marketed
- 19:02as harmless. Oh, uh -huh. Where else do we hear
- 19:04that? Thought to you by Pfizer. Substances that
- 19:06are marketed as harmless, even beneficial, only
- 19:09for the long -term consequences to emerge later.
- 19:12And the second voice you heard there was Tracy
- 19:14Buster -Achea. Chief of Police in Meridian, and
- 19:18also representative of the Idaho Police Chiefs
- 19:21Association. The Department of Health and Welfare
- 19:33confirms that more than 80 Idahoans have died
- 19:36from a kratom -related overdose in the past four
- 19:39years. But yesterday, there were a good many
- 19:42supporters of Kratom. They say they use it for
- 19:45depression, pain, and much more than what is
- 19:47promised on the label. So get ready. I'm assuming
- 19:51that they're being given the same coaching that
- 19:54you were where they're like, hey, whatever you
- 19:56do, don't bring up liberty. So now they're left
- 19:59with all these weird. I guarantee it. I hope
- 20:02that's what happened, because if this is what
- 20:04they're left with, with regard to how they argue
- 20:07the point. Oh, yo, yo. Freedom saved my life.
- 20:11Plain and simple. It is not a dangerous new drug.
- 20:16I use it every day. It has helped me with my
- 20:18pain. It helped with anxiety. And I'm sorry,
- 20:23but 86 deaths in four years. It seems like it's
- 20:28a bit extreme and history will repeat itself.
- 20:32So lawmakers heard. Right. OK, so. So you just
- 20:36have one person being like, it's horrible and
- 20:38it ruins everything and I hate it. And then the
- 20:41other side's like, it's great and it helps everything
- 20:43and I love it. This is the macro argumentation
- 20:47for why other people should have their liberty
- 20:50restricted. This is insane. Yeah, it is insane.
- 20:55Everybody's different. This goes without saying.
- 20:58It's a statement that I could say anywhere at
- 21:00any time and everybody will stop and agree. And
- 21:04then we won't agree on anything else after that.
- 21:05But the people who agree with me that everybody
- 21:08is different and then immediately go, yeah, but
- 21:10we're going to use government to force you to
- 21:13do what we want or to not do what we want. They
- 21:16don't know what they're talking about because
- 21:18everybody is different biologically, right? So
- 21:20Kratom, whether it's driving, whether it's Kratom,
- 21:22whether it's poker, whether it's anything, we
- 21:24all have different risk tolerances. And physiologically,
- 21:27we're all going to react to things differently
- 21:29as well. What may work for you may kill me. That's
- 21:34the risk we take now. in most instances, it's
- 21:37a pretty low risk and it's, you know, you eat
- 21:39a piece of bread and I eat a piece of bread.
- 21:41It's pretty, you know, it's not like it might
- 21:44kill me and it might not kill you, but you understand
- 21:47what I'm aiming at here. I guess everybody's
- 21:49different and everybody has the right to make
- 21:51the choice and everybody has the right to make
- 21:53the choice as to how much risk they're willing
- 21:54to take. And life comes with risk. Everything,
- 21:57everything comes with risk. And to your point,
- 21:59cars, I think it's probably one of the best examples
- 22:02out there of this thing where you did you know
- 22:05that about 80 it's in between 80 and 85 000 automobile
- 22:12accidents that are attributable to death deaths
- 22:15by car it's like 80 to 85 000 a year that's annualized
- 22:19that's every year and that number has stayed
- 22:21pretty consistent small increases small decreases
- 22:25but that's about the average that's about the
- 22:27average over the last long while and half of
- 22:30those are due to drunk driving. And that number
- 22:33hasn't changed in 20 or 30 years. Now per capita,
- 22:36drunk driving deaths have decreased little by
- 22:39little. But as far as sheer numbers go, about
- 22:4440, I actually did my senior thesis. I was political
- 22:48science and economics and that kind of thing.
- 22:50And my thesis was whether or not drunk driving
- 22:52laws, or actually my thesis was whether or not
- 22:55raising the drinking age from 18 to 21 decreased
- 22:59drunk driving casualties. And the answer was,
- 23:02as a per capita, yes. But in sheer numbers, no.
- 23:07It has stayed consistent for 30, 40 years now.
- 23:11Kind of wild. It was wild. But you don't see
- 23:13anybody rushing to ban cars. Or ban alcohol.
- 23:17That's the thing. You can't have carve -outs
- 23:22for any of this stuff. Otherwise, the entire
- 23:25premise loses its credibility. This thing is
- 23:28very bad, and society needs to be protected from
- 23:31it. except for this instance. Now the premise
- 23:36is now it's irrelevant. I don't even know how
- 23:39to say it. It's just so stupid. It is so stupid.
- 23:43It defies logic. And yet here we are where, again
- 23:46and again and again, it's the norm, not the exception,
- 23:50where carve -outs are made. And anytime we do
- 23:53figure out that a law isn't so great or that
- 23:55the impact wasn't what we expected it to be,
- 23:58instead of just repealing the damn thing and
- 24:00letting well enough alone, we usually just add
- 24:02to it and add another carve out or or strip some
- 24:06part of it but add a different part of it. Very
- 24:09rarely do we look at it and go you know maybe
- 24:10maybe it's best if we just leave this alone.
- 24:13I mean what a novel concept that seems to still
- 24:16be and I would love to see it go that way. That's
- 24:19the logical thing to do is to look at it and
- 24:21go yeah we shouldn't have been involved in this
- 24:22in the first place or or by or by this premise
- 24:25by this logic if A then B we can't say if A than
- 24:32D point five and we'll put that into law and
- 24:37that'll work and it makes sense. So unfortunately,
- 24:40that's pretty much all the law is. If Idaho law,
- 24:43federal law, county law, any of it, all of it.
- 24:45It's all it's all basically just like, well,
- 24:48I always love to use the Catholics for this.
- 24:51Be like, you know, don't eat fish on Friday unless
- 24:54you forget or what is it? Don't eat meat on Friday
- 24:57unless you forget. Also, Jesus said fish doesn't
- 25:00count as meat. So me. Yeah, it's OK. It's not
- 25:03me. I guess we'll see at church. What do you
- 25:06say? Oh, I said I said not meat. I was emphasizing
- 25:09what you were saying. Yeah, not me. It's like
- 25:11I'm a vegetarian. Well, but I do eat fish. Uh
- 25:13huh. So you don't eat animal flesh except for
- 25:15when you eat animal flesh. Got it. So, yeah,
- 25:18right. It doesn't count. And then you have the
- 25:21guy here who, you know, who's been trotted out
- 25:24in the proponent camp, who's going like, well.
- 25:28There's only been, what do you say? A kratom
- 25:30-related overdose. 84 deaths. 84 deaths? I'm
- 25:34sorry, but 86 deaths in four years. Okay, this
- 25:40is the same, like, the same logical dead end
- 25:44that's, you know, was... you know, trotted out
- 25:46in the mass psychosis era to infinity degree.
- 25:51Like, oh, well, this many deaths and this many
- 25:54cases and like, well, if you have this threshold,
- 25:57then it justifies that restriction on liberty
- 26:01or that declaration or that whatever. There is
- 26:04no off -ramp or logic to any of this stuff. So
- 26:07in other words, well, only 86 deaths. So at what
- 26:10number of deaths would it then in this proponent's
- 26:13mind? be okay to ban Kratom for the public? 100?
- 26:161000? What's the number? None of that makes any
- 26:20sense. It can't be based on a number. Yeah, well,
- 26:26your biggest issue is who gets to decide what
- 26:28number is acceptable and what number is not.
- 26:30And then you're put in a position where you're
- 26:32quantifying what is acceptable and the measuring
- 26:36stick is human lives. But that's intentional,
- 26:40right? That is how the banners or the government
- 26:45sycophant, so basically the people who want to
- 26:47clamp down on liberties of every kind, it's a
- 26:49brilliant tactic, Scott, because they try to
- 26:53force the issue and frame the argument in that
- 26:56way that then those of us on the other side,
- 26:58if we're not careful, get caught up in playing
- 27:01defense when really we should be playing offense.
- 27:03Correct. Instead, we play defense. And while
- 27:06we're playing defense, we use their metrics.
- 27:08but it's really a bad look when you're going,
- 27:11well, it's only a hundred deaths. And then people
- 27:13are like, oh, you're a monster. No, actually
- 27:15I just don't use things being risky as an excuse
- 27:19to ban it for everybody else. Exactly. And you
- 27:24cannot get bogged down in the numbers arguments
- 27:27because then their framing is correct. That if
- 27:31a certain metric gets hit, therefore restrictions
- 27:34on liberty are justified. Yep. I think it's good
- 27:39to know the stats. I think it is good to know
- 27:41the numbers, because I do think from a technical
- 27:43analysis standpoint, it's good to know those
- 27:46things. And it is, I would say, a backup argument.
- 27:49Just if you feel like beating your head against
- 27:52the wall and arguing with these types of people,
- 27:54it's still good data to have. It is. So you can
- 27:57be correct and accurate and sound intelligent
- 27:59and still refute things on a technical analysis
- 28:02standpoint. But well, you are correct, Scott,
- 28:06allowing them to frame it this way and force
- 28:07us to defend it through that lens and through
- 28:10that reframing is it's the wrong tactic for those
- 28:14of us on Team Liberty, for sure. And you've actually
- 28:16reminded me of it. You've caught me a couple
- 28:18of times going on the technical analysis side,
- 28:21because that's the way my brain thinks. Instead
- 28:23of just going right off with the yeah, it doesn't
- 28:26matter. This is an infringement and a violation
- 28:28of my rights. Full stop. Well. I mean, hey, I'll
- 28:33take that as high praise. Like if I've, of all
- 28:35people, if I've actually caught you engaged a
- 28:37couple of times in that framing, then I'm really,
- 28:39I'll take that as the compliment. I'm assuming
- 28:42you intend. Yeah. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. A hundred
- 28:45percent. It is high praise. And yes, you have
- 28:46at least I think three times by my count, you've
- 28:49caught me doing it. And I'm like, Oh shit. You're
- 28:51right. You're 100 % right. That's dumb. I'm dumb.
- 28:54Let me, let me start over. Well, and see the
- 28:56other thing though is that even, I don't even
- 28:59like, even as a backup, even in any context.
- 29:03And the reason is the numbers, quote unquote,
- 29:06are inherently unknowable anyway. The accuracy
- 29:10of any of this stuff and where these numbers
- 29:12are emanating from and who is calculating them,
- 29:15it's inherently unknowable. Oh, there were this
- 29:18many deaths, really? How were they attributed?
- 29:20Who made the attribution? Did the number change?
- 29:22What metric are you using? What test are you
- 29:24using? Did they have any underlying coma? There's
- 29:27just way too many unknowns. to even make any
- 29:32sense of numbers that are being presented to
- 29:34us. You're not wrong, but at the same time, even
- 29:38with all of the unknowns and all of the issues
- 29:41you describe, particularly when it comes to COVID,
- 29:43but I'd say almost in every argument where we're
- 29:47on the pro -liberty side of things, the numbers
- 29:48actually back us up. So I'm still going to use
- 29:51them. Yeah. Okay. Fair enough. Let's finish out
- 29:55this clip. It helped with anxiety and I'm sorry,
- 29:59but 86 deaths. in four years, it seems like it's
- 30:05a bit extreme. Yeah, but if it were 250 deaths,
- 30:08well then by all means ban it. It's a bit extreme
- 30:10and history will repeat itself. So lawmakers
- 30:13heard a fair amount of personal... I think what
- 30:15he's saying when he says history will repeat
- 30:18itself, I think... So I'm going to infer that
- 30:22he's referring to black market economics. The
- 30:25same thing is when you ban guns or even to a
- 30:28degree when you ban abortion, which I'm... before
- 30:31because it is a violation of the NAP and murder.
- 30:34But that's something else to unpack way later.
- 30:37People are still going to find what they want.
- 30:40But now in the black market, you are right, though,
- 30:44they did a great job of trotting out a couple
- 30:46of guys whose best argument was basically a combination
- 30:49of it's made me feel great. And those 84 people
- 30:54who died don't matter because I feel good. So
- 30:59lawmakers heard a fair amount of personal stories
- 31:02this week, but recognizing that they have gone
- 31:05hours already without too much expert testimony,
- 31:09legislators said they were still anxious to hear
- 31:11from doctors and coroners about Gradem. But to
- 31:15say that somebody who overdoses on an opioid
- 31:18like heroin and somehow has a heart attack didn't,
- 31:22you know, die from the heroin, right? Like that's
- 31:25what causes. the heart attack. Just a lot of
- 31:28the testimony here has seemed very self -serving.
- 31:31I love this. I need this. I want this. I don't
- 31:33take it away. Well, what about the other who
- 31:36lost her daughter? There it is. Won't somebody
- 31:41please think of the children. Once again, I do
- 31:44not mean to laugh at a woman who lost her daughter
- 31:46that it's that elicits only sympathy. The reason
- 31:49that I'm reacting that way with my soundboard
- 31:51is because she's been she's using her platform
- 31:54publicly. in order to restrict liberty. Didn't,
- 31:59you know, die from the heroin, right? Like that's
- 32:02what causes the heart attack. I love this. I
- 32:05need this. I want this. I don't take it away.
- 32:08Well, what about the mother who lost her daughter?
- 32:11The testimonies we heard of people who were misled
- 32:13or deceived by labels. Those are mutually exclusive
- 32:16things. Like I need a car. I love cars. I want
- 32:20a car. I need a car. My neighbor's daughter died
- 32:24in a car accident. Think of the mother. Don't
- 32:28you dare buy a car. Your neighbor is a bereaved
- 32:31mother, man. She lost her daughter in a car accident.
- 32:34How could you even think? How could I think about
- 32:38driving a car or buying a car or parking my car
- 32:40in my parking lot so that poor, bereaved mother
- 32:43has to look at my car every day and be reminded
- 32:46of what happened to her daughter? Hey, it's sad,
- 32:49and I'm not saying it's not. But to your point,
- 32:52this lady gets up there and testifies and makes
- 32:55her life public now and does so for the sole
- 32:59and express purpose of taking away what's left
- 33:04of the liberty we still enjoy. And I don't even
- 33:07do Kratom. I've never done Kratom. I don't even
- 33:09know what Kratom is. I don't care. It doesn't
- 33:11matter. It's beside the point. Correct. Doesn't
- 33:13matter. I was about to say that exact same thing
- 33:14and I didn't because it's totally irrelevant.
- 33:17It is completely irrelevant. Even if I did recreate
- 33:21him, it doesn't do a disservice to the argument,
- 33:24but I don't. I have no connection to it whatsoever.
- 33:26But this doctor gets up and basically ties together
- 33:29two things that aren't actually connected. They
- 33:31are mutually exclusive. So he is mocking those
- 33:36who are testifying that they were physically
- 33:39helped by the substance and saying that their
- 33:45argument is completely invalid. because somebody
- 33:49else lost a family member to it. Well, okay,
- 33:53I'd love to know how many opioids this guy has
- 33:56prescribed. I'd love to know what damage has
- 33:59been done by that. We don't hear about that,
- 34:02do we? Brought to you by Pfizer. The testimonies
- 34:07we heard of people who were misled or deceived
- 34:09by labels. Members of the House Health and Welfare
- 34:12Committee decided to hold the bill, promising
- 34:15to pick it up again next week. All that as they
- 34:19also got word yesterday that still another Kratom
- 34:22bill was about to surface on the Senate side
- 34:26and that could be introduced as early as today.
- 34:30Lot of time and energy being used up. Maybe,
- 34:34you know what, maybe they're all doing Kratom
- 34:36and they just have a ton of extra energy and,
- 34:38you know. Verve. You know what, that's just crazy
- 34:42enough to be correct. It's like in Virginia,
- 34:48the super, super Democrat dominated legislature,
- 34:51because they control the governorship, they control
- 34:53the House, they control the Senate, and they've
- 34:54got like super majorities in both the House and
- 34:56the Senate. And they just passed what they're
- 34:58calling an assault weapons ban, which in and
- 35:00of itself is an absurd label because anything
- 35:02is an assault X, Y, Z, the moment you use it
- 35:05to hurt somebody. Like if I hit you with a hammer,
- 35:09it's an assault hammer now. So I've seen enough
- 35:12of those like a like a gas station parking lot
- 35:14skirmishes in the middle of the night to get
- 35:16caught on camera and it's like it like in like
- 35:18Atlanta, you know, and I've seen vehicles cars
- 35:21being used as assault weapons. So we should ban
- 35:23them. Yeah. Well, the charge of assault assault
- 35:28and battery is you could use your fists. You
- 35:31could use a crowbar. You can you could use foul
- 35:34language and you could you could use a battery
- 35:36assault like a D battery. Actually, you know,
- 35:39when When I had my my second skirmish with law
- 35:44enforcement in 2023 and they pulled me over while
- 35:47I was mining my own business and they had no
- 35:49right to well they had a legal right but they
- 35:51had no natural right to bother me and I didn't
- 35:54play their game and then found myself surrounded
- 35:56by 12 of them and and under the gun literally
- 36:00and then and then on the the asphalt and all
- 36:02that fun stuff. as they were pulling me out of
- 36:05extricating me from my vehicle, which I was stuck
- 36:07in, by the way, because I had my seatbelt on.
- 36:10The police report on that is hilarious, like
- 36:13that I wouldn't that I wouldn't let go of the
- 36:15steering wheel. And then I was fighting off like,
- 36:17like somehow I'm fighting off a dozen of these
- 36:19fuckers who are all bigger than me and have guns.
- 36:23Yeah. OK, things that never happened. But they
- 36:25actually slapped an assault charge on me because
- 36:27one of the cops as he was trying to get me out
- 36:30of the rig fell over. and hurt his collarbone.
- 36:34He hurt himself. I'm a buck 50, I'm 150 pounds
- 36:39and all these dudes outweighed me by 50 pounds
- 36:41or more. And he fell down and hurt his collarbone
- 36:45and they actually slapped an assault charge on
- 36:47me for it, for assaulting an officer. So I got
- 36:50him with my assault seatbelt. Yeah, take that.
- 36:55Yes, the subject violently swung his dreadlocks
- 36:58in the general vicinity of the officer's chin
- 37:01and it made contact. with the facial area. I
- 37:06assaulted them with facts and logic. The assault
- 37:12with a deadly mouth. Yes. Well, in their minds
- 37:20that called for an escalation of violence. Calling
- 37:23all units, calling all units. Oh, they, they
- 37:26sure did. I think the entire post falls night
- 37:28shift came out for that one. Uh, they're pretty
- 37:30bored over there. All hands on deck. Yeah. We
- 37:33finally got some, we get ladies and gentlemen,
- 37:36we got them. Yeah. I don't know which charge
- 37:38was my favorite. The assault on the assault on
- 37:40an officer when I, I never touched anybody. They're,
- 37:43they're busy beating the shit out of me and I
- 37:47get slapped with assault or the charge that was
- 37:50for, uh, uh, concealing. a firearm while intoxicated
- 37:55and I was neither intoxicated nor was I concealing
- 37:58the firearm. I was open carrying it in my holster
- 38:00like I always have done and always do. You've
- 38:03seen it. Yeah, good times. Anyways, rabbit trail.
- 38:08But anything is an assault weapon. But where
- 38:09I was going with that is in Virginia, what they've
- 38:14done is carved it out so that that law does not
- 38:17apply to them. It does not apply to them and
- 38:19it does not apply to their security details and
- 38:21personnel. No, why would this kratom thing? I
- 38:25you know, I bet you half the legislature is probably
- 38:27like yeah Give me some more of that but not for
- 38:30you plebes How come you guys all keep going to
- 38:33the the bathroom at the same time? You got to
- 38:35get back into the chamber here We're trying to
- 38:37be you know, we're law makers and we're trying
- 38:39to make laws They're visiting the bathroom because
- 38:44that's where all the underage pages hang out
- 38:46I've seen people in every way shape or form all
- 38:49over the world going to the bathroom Yes! I'm
- 38:53so glad you brought that up. Let's do an Ask
- 38:55Paul. Here comes the question. Big or small,
- 38:58make your guess before we call. The game begins.
- 39:01It's Ask. Brought to you by Pfizer. If there
- 39:05were two words to describe this year's session,
- 39:08two words used more than any others at the State
- 39:12House this year, they would likely be... What
- 39:15do you think NPR is telling us that the most
- 39:19likely description of this... year's legislative
- 39:22session. Sad face. You think you really think
- 39:31that's what MP? Is that your final answer? No.
- 39:35Budget woes. Judges? No. Judges say close, but
- 39:45no. They would likely be budget cuts. Last week.
- 39:51Oh, come on. You said woes. You said woes. Yeah,
- 39:55but to them, that's a woe. To me, that's a great.
- 39:58But the way they're gonna frame it, budget woes.
- 40:01You know, that same North Idaho NAACP guy, he's
- 40:06the one who held up the no sign. And he's sitting
- 40:07there, he's got his arms crossed. He's got a
- 40:10furrowed brow and his arms are crossed. So I
- 40:12don't think you're gonna convince him. That's
- 40:14bullshit. He hates me because I'm white. That's
- 40:15what's going on. Down there, budget cuts are
- 40:20synonymous with woes. I'm just going to throw
- 40:23that out there. I'm going to plead my case here
- 40:24a little bit. They all bitch and moan about cutting
- 40:26the budget. It's a whoa thing for them. For the
- 40:29rest of us, it's like, whoa, yeah. For them,
- 40:31it's like, whoa, whoa. I mean, these cuts are
- 40:34killing people. They would likely be budget cuts.
- 40:40Last week, the legislature slashed higher education
- 40:43budgets. Boise State, the University of Idaho,
- 40:46Idaho State University, Lewis Clark State College,
- 40:49Idaho's community colleges. plus significant
- 40:52cuts to career technical education programs.
- 40:55And the majority of the legislature's budget
- 40:58writing committee has decided to make even deeper
- 41:01cuts to health and welfare, that on top of their
- 41:04previous plan that had already reduced funding.
- 41:07But then there are the cuts over the last few
- 41:10years where tens of thousands of public servants,
- 41:13servants, servants, Idaho's working class at
- 41:16Health and Welfare, Fish and Game, working at
- 41:18prisons, working on road crews, the departments
- 41:21of labor, finance, or insurance, departments
- 41:24that will likely see cuts, and possible reductions
- 41:27in force, or possible cuts in services, or both.
- 41:31Let's make it abundantly clear, it will not be
- 41:34nickel one from anyone's paycheck, but your services,
- 41:37you plebes, say goodbye to these. But one Idaho
- 41:41lawmaker says, It is time for more cuts to another
- 41:45part of the government. What? The one at the
- 41:48top of the org chart. What? The state's top elected
- 41:50officials. The governor, lieutenant governor,
- 41:54attorney general, treasurer, controller, secretary
- 41:56of state, and the superintendent of public instruction.
- 42:00GOP Senator Kevin Cook of Bonneville County is
- 42:03proposing a 4 % cut for the top elected officials'
- 42:07salaries for the current fiscal year and a 5
- 42:10% cut for fiscal year 2027. For that reduction
- 42:14for the legislature, it would have been $131
- 42:16,250. For this one that's before you, it will
- 42:19be $43 ,294. So budget cuts for - Wait, a date?
- 42:24Yeah, I know that. A total of 43 grand? So budget
- 42:47cuts for this and next fiscal year and it all
- 42:52bundles up to about $175 ,000 in savings. Well,
- 42:59it's basically one mid -level upper management
- 43:03level government worker. I guess hey, we'll take
- 43:06it it will take it I guess it's Given the notion
- 43:10of it like hey, what about the the the very tippy
- 43:13top of the leaders? Shouldn't they have a little
- 43:15bit of a pay cut? I guess not I Mean these cuts
- 43:29are killing people if we all just pay our fair
- 43:34share, right? You can keep soaking the taxpayer.
- 43:44Literally. Written and performed by the boomer
- 43:49generation. Literally. I guess I'm going to try
- 43:56to be positive here for a minute. And it's something.
- 44:00It's something. Yes, it is something. And it
- 44:03sends a message of sorts, I suppose. Kind of.
- 44:08Nobody is untouchable. Right. And you know, we're
- 44:10going to I'm going to get to it in the donations
- 44:12and value for value segment. you know, about
- 44:16us going, you know, being so sort of cynical
- 44:18and hard on Idaho's government, which compared
- 44:22to many other governments, state governments
- 44:24is less awful. So but we'll get to that. You
- 44:29know, let's do one more. Yeah, totally. But it's
- 44:31all relative. And we're talking like, as I always
- 44:33like to say to people, especially people who
- 44:35aren't from here originally, we're just debating
- 44:38shades of shit is what we're doing. That's it.
- 44:41Like, you know, you look at a glass. And some
- 44:45people say it's half empty. Some people say it's
- 44:47half full. I look at that and I go, I'm pretty
- 44:50sure this is piss. And then you might say, well,
- 44:53yeah, but it's only 30 % piss. And I say, well,
- 44:58that's cool. But I'd like it to be 0 % piss,
- 45:01please. Meanwhile, these folks at the top who
- 45:05are getting a whopping potentially, potentially,
- 45:08it hasn't even happened yet, 4 % pay cut. To
- 45:12their huge six -figure salaries on our backs
- 45:15by the way We've been Talking about cars a lot
- 45:20in this segment for whatever reason so before
- 45:22we take the Mitchell breather In Idaho if you
- 45:25were cruising in the left lane and not trying
- 45:28to pass You could soon get a fine a new Senate
- 45:31bill would allow Idaho law enforcement to fine
- 45:33drivers $75 if they are what they're called camping
- 45:37in the left lane making this a law would cost
- 45:40the state $200 ,000 just for signage for Idaho
- 45:44Department of Transportation and to educate drivers
- 45:47in general. Senators against the bill say they'd
- 45:50rather that money go elsewhere. I think that
- 45:53that money could be better used to repair our
- 45:56roads instead of making signs at this time. What
- 46:00it does give is law enforcement tools to address
- 46:03the chronic left lane camping that creates dangerous
- 46:06situations and contributes to aggressive driving.
- 46:10Senator Mark Harris, the bill sponsor, says the
- 46:12bill would help with clarification on what police
- 46:15should do when drivers, he says, monopolize the
- 46:18left lane. By the way, Washington already has
- 46:20a similar law. Please don't take our road. Yes,
- 46:24they do. They do. Washington does also. Please
- 46:26don't take our roads, Scott. Yes, I got a premature
- 46:30Scots shots. I'm not going to do the theme song
- 46:32for it because I have a real Scots shots coming
- 46:34up after the break. But what are the odds? It's
- 46:41a two -parter first off how many and you can't
- 46:44you're not a lot of cheap You gotta use your
- 46:46you gotta use your brain not a calculator. How
- 46:49many tickets at $75 a ticket? Would they with
- 46:53the state of Idaho need to issue to cover the
- 46:56sign it the expense for the signage That's question
- 46:58number one and question number two is what are
- 47:01the odds? That at some point a frustrated legislator
- 47:05probably when driving back down to Boise finally
- 47:07decided, you know what? I'm sick of this shit
- 47:10This left lane camper. Fuck that guy. I'm, I'm
- 47:14lawmaking. I'm a lawmaker. I'm going to make
- 47:15a law so hard and we're going to deal with this
- 47:19shit. Just like the guy who went and got his
- 47:23tags for actually, excuse me, had his, his assistants
- 47:26go and get his tags for his license plate. And
- 47:28he was like, this is dumb. Why do I have to spend
- 47:31my time on this? Did the rest of the plebes have
- 47:33to spend their time on this? Well, now that it
- 47:34inconveniences me, I'm going to make a law so
- 47:38hard. What are the odds? What do you think? You
- 47:41know, I just have to say I'm picturing like some
- 47:44guy in like a mid eighties Toyota motor home,
- 47:48like the Itasca that's attached to like the,
- 47:50you know, with like the four banger under the
- 47:52hood. And he's just like in the left. Oh no,
- 47:54I'll do you one better. This legislator who came
- 47:56up with it, whoever it is got stuck behind that
- 47:58piece of shit. Reclaim Idaho RV. Yeah. That scumbag,
- 48:02Luke Mayfield, who rolls around Idaho, total
- 48:05carpet bagger. His whole sole purpose is to push
- 48:07Medicaid expansion. Now that it's been done,
- 48:10now our sole purpose is to keep Medicaid expansion.
- 48:12Who the hell pays that guy, by the way? Oh, that's
- 48:15something we should investigate at some point.
- 48:18No, they got stuck behind Luke Mayfield. And
- 48:19then they're like, you know what? We need to
- 48:22we need to law make. Well, to answer your first
- 48:25question, I can only do math at a poker table
- 48:29in all other contexts. I can't do math. So what
- 48:32are the pot odds? Going to the river, it's approximately,
- 48:38let's see, $75 a ticket to make up, how much
- 48:43was it? 200 grand in signage. Oh, I don't know,
- 48:47what is that, like 2 ,800 tickets or something?
- 48:52You know what? Because I'm in a good mood and
- 48:54apparently you're not. The judges will give it
- 48:56to you, sir. Well, are there any blacks on your
- 48:59judge panel? No, I don't believe in diversity,
- 49:05obviously. Are you sure? Say the words, dude.
- 49:13Diversity, man. It's very important. Say those
- 49:15words. No, you can't tell me what to do. You're
- 49:18not my mom. No, no. 2666. That's how many tickets.
- 49:29Damn close, sir. Well done. I love that the number
- 49:31came out to 2666. That's fantastic. Take that,
- 49:34Idaho. You suck. Good times. So don't go there
- 49:38you go. And I mean, I don't know I mean how many
- 49:41are you running into a lot of left lane campers?
- 49:44I don't actually feel like I see that you're
- 49:45all that often. No, not really, but then again
- 49:49We're not a good sampling size because where
- 49:51I live there There are no roads with a total
- 49:55of four lanes. Everything is two lane So where
- 49:58I'm where I'm at the issue in Bonner County is
- 50:01everybody goes five miles If we're lucky, they
- 50:04go the speed limit. Most of the time they go
- 50:06five miles under until they get to one of the
- 50:09two or three places where it's actually a straightaway.
- 50:13There aren't many, especially on my roads where
- 50:15wraps all the way around Ponderay Lake and it
- 50:17weaves and it winds and blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 50:19And so there's only two or three places where
- 50:20you can get around anybody safely. And then Bonner
- 50:23County drivers are just I'm pretty sure they
- 50:26teach this in Bonner County drivers that go five
- 50:29under until you get to a straightaway. and then
- 50:31lead foot that shit. Don't let anybody pass you.
- 50:35That we ought to make illegal. I would law make
- 50:38that so hard. Well, it's it's not a law here
- 50:43on this program. It's simply a suggestion. We
- 50:46are not lawmakers. We're just humble podcasters
- 50:49bringing you no ID and no ID is a value. IQ is
- 50:53too high to be lawmakers. Triple digits, baby.
- 50:58Suck on that. Value for value is the model that
- 51:03this program runs on. That means that if you
- 51:07find this program to be valuable, you contribute
- 51:10back value to the show. And there are many different
- 51:12ways to do that, time, talent, and treasure.
- 51:14Of course, only do that if you find this program
- 51:17to be a valuable addition to your rotation. Let's
- 51:21see, we have a bunch of stuff to get to, so I'll
- 51:24just quickly say time and talent. are maybe sort
- 51:26of self -explanatory, just contributing back
- 51:28to the show with anything that you want to make
- 51:30or suggest. Give us time. Give us talent. Send
- 51:34us audio clips. Send us show art. Send us articles.
- 51:39Send us stuff you think we should cover. Send
- 51:40us boots on the ground reports. Send us your
- 51:43area of expertise and something you have insight
- 51:45into, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. The treasure
- 51:48portion also maybe is self -explanatory. That's
- 51:52just currency, fiat currency, which as of this
- 51:56writing, still has a little bit of value. So
- 52:00as long as that remains the case, we ask that
- 52:02you contribute back treasure as you see fit.
- 52:06And value can mean anything to, it means many
- 52:08different things to many different people. As
- 52:11we were discussing earlier, everyone is different.
- 52:13So who are we to say what is value to you? Only
- 52:16you can say that. Yeah, well on that point, Fiat
- 52:19currency, obviously, is always appreciated because
- 52:21that's what the banks force us to use to pay
- 52:23the mortgage and blah, blah, blah. But ammo is
- 52:27accepted. Bullion is accepted. A tab at the racketeer
- 52:32is accepted. I mean, pretty much any favors.
- 52:36I like favors, you know, all kinds of things.
- 52:39Anything really that chickens always looking
- 52:42out for more of those. So on and so forth. Yes,
- 52:45exactly. Yes. I mean, this is the true barter
- 52:48economy, really. So whatever you want to barter,
- 52:51goods and services and then anything else. So
- 52:54whatever you can think of that is value to you,
- 52:56contribute value back to the show. Yeah, if you
- 52:59text me and you say, I've got a favor for you
- 53:02just and then to meet you at your van somewhere
- 53:05down there by Ponterey Lake, I'm coming. Like
- 53:07a child to the ice cream truck. You got me. There
- 53:13is some executive producers to thank This week
- 53:18on At on the last show you mentioned as and as
- 53:21we let off the top of this one that this is episode
- 53:23number 21 of your new ID show and The blackjack
- 53:27donation which you mentioned on the last on episode
- 53:30number 20. We did have some takers So let's let's
- 53:35start with those and the first one is from Brian
- 53:39Maloney who? Hit Blackjack and send us 21 bucks.
- 53:45And he says, hello gents, I have contributed
- 53:50with some time and a few boots on the ground
- 53:52reports, but I was inspired by your idea of a
- 53:55show number donation to send you some good old
- 53:57fashioned treasure. I am not talented. So while
- 54:02the trifecta remains elusive, I certainly get
- 54:06more value out of the show than expected. Well,
- 54:09okay, so he expected it to suck, but it turns
- 54:12out it doesn't so I'm happy to return value as
- 54:15I am able I still think Paul is a bit off about
- 54:19Rhodes But perhaps he can convince me otherwise
- 54:21that the upcoming meetup get on that I'm sure
- 54:25our government leaders leaders leaders don't
- 54:28have anything else figured out on That what is
- 54:31it anything else figured out that well? Oh, I
- 54:36see Don't have anything else figured out that
- 54:38well, so I'm not sure why I think roads are so
- 54:40great. Sometimes I'll bore you with the story
- 54:42about how many times the federal court walks
- 54:45a thumb drive back and forth across the office
- 54:48when video or picture evidence is presented to
- 54:50the court, often sent by courier or hand delivered
- 54:53by council in person. I'm worried you may not
- 54:56have enough examples of the government failing
- 54:58to make any sense at all, but... Now is not the
- 55:02time as this note is already too long. Keep up
- 55:03the good work. Roads are no roads. Taxation is
- 55:06theft. There you go from Brian. Brian, you're
- 55:11a man after my own heart and there will never
- 55:14ever be enough examples of government stupidity
- 55:17and waste. We can't make it up. They just make
- 55:19it up for us every day. Every day is a new cornucopia
- 55:23for which if you have things to share, please
- 55:25do. We're always so excited to hear that kind
- 55:30of stuff. He's one of a couple few spooks that
- 55:36work in the city of Spokane. Like he said, he's
- 55:40contributed a little bit with some Boots on the
- 55:42Ground stuff, and so has the Sir Spook from Spokane
- 55:45who's coming up in a moment. But we'll let you
- 55:49know if it's too boring to read on the show.
- 55:52But if you've got something to contribute, don't
- 55:53assume you'll find it boring. Just shoot a note.
- 55:56So describe what you're talking about. And then
- 55:58if you know, if it's that boring, you know, we
- 55:59won't read it. I mean, has there been anything
- 56:02yet that's been like too boring for us to bring
- 56:04up on the show? Maybe there is. I'm asking Scott
- 56:06because he's the one who handles the emails.
- 56:08So not really. People send you stuff all the
- 56:09time and you're just like pass. But I don't think
- 56:12so. No, not really. I think everything. I mean,
- 56:14I see some of it. Yeah. So, I mean, send it in,
- 56:18baby. Brian, thank you, man. Appreciate it. And
- 56:21I'm glad that you have determined after 21 episodes
- 56:24that our show does not suck. At the very least,
- 56:27it's passable. He expected it to. I like that.
- 56:29He was like, well, I wasn't expecting that. Oh,
- 56:31yeah. Well, just like that legislator saving
- 56:34the state of Idaho $42 ,000 on an administrator's
- 56:37salary, I too am happy that we could, you know,
- 56:41beat the bare minimum. Barely. He did have at
- 56:45the very end, he did say like, hey, I forget
- 56:47if you have a deducing or the like, but if so,
- 56:50hit me with it. So he's referring to like first
- 56:52time donors. Like if you, you know, if you don't
- 56:55donate, And you just listen, but you don't ever
- 56:57donate anything. You're a douche bag. And then
- 56:59when you send in your first donation, which this
- 57:01is for Brian, you get deduced. So I don't have
- 57:04anything necessarily on my board. So, but I want
- 57:07to plant that seed with you to come up with something
- 57:09that would be good as a deducing sound effect.
- 57:13I think that's a good, I think you have a good
- 57:15point right now. I'll tell you what off the top
- 57:17of my head. And I think we should start now.
- 57:18I really do. And I apologize. And so now we're
- 57:21just going to blanket apologize to everybody
- 57:23else who we haven't deduced. I'm sorry. Actually,
- 57:27I'm going to apologize on behalf of Scott. He
- 57:29should know this because he's in the industry.
- 57:31I didn't. I'm new to this. So this is your fault,
- 57:33Scott. But I'm going to be the bigger man here
- 57:35and apologize on behalf of you. I have this that
- 57:41I think we could make it work. And if not, we'll
- 57:43find something else, Scott. But in the meantime,
- 57:45this is what we're done. Thank you, Brian. Indeed.
- 58:02Thank you, Brian. Next up is a good one. This
- 58:06is Lloyd the Brewer and Lloyd actually did two
- 58:09separate donations. Lloyd gave me twenty dollars
- 58:12cash money in person at our meet up last Thursday
- 58:17at his establishment where he's making the beer.
- 58:19That is the Trails and Brewery in Coeur d 'Alene.
- 58:22Oh, right on. I don't know if you've ever been
- 58:24to that spot. I have. I like the mezzanine they
- 58:27got up to the upstairs section. It's a cool spot.
- 58:29That is exactly where we do our meetups is up
- 58:31on that mezzanine. I love it, too. And so he
- 58:34he's the brewer over there. And actually, I have
- 58:36to say, since Lloyd took over that spot, the
- 58:38beer has improved markedly. I was never a huge
- 58:41fan of the beer there. I come from the craft
- 58:43beer industry, so I have a little bit of a, you
- 58:45know, I would say discerning palate. Others would
- 58:47say, like, you know, stuck up or, you know, what
- 58:51would you what would you call that? Like, I only
- 58:52want great poupon. I don't I don't want regular
- 58:54mustard. Well, as the great Winston Churchill
- 58:58once said, My tastes are simple. I'm easily satisfied
- 59:02with the best. Yes. So you have nothing to be
- 59:04ashamed of my friend. And yeah, I would say discerning
- 59:06taste is the way to describe it. You and I have
- 59:08the same. We're in the same boat on that. I mean,
- 59:10I made a living with my mouth. Yes. Tasting things
- 59:13and talking about things. Correct. Me too. So
- 59:17I but I have to say that since the pizza and
- 59:20the atmosphere were always good, but the beer
- 59:21was always just OK, in my opinion. But since
- 59:24Lloyd has taken over, he has really dialed in
- 59:27that program over there, and the beer is excellent.
- 59:29It's really good. So I'm stoked on that, and
- 59:32I'm stoked on the 20 bucks he gave me. And then,
- 59:34so what's funny is, he gave me that 20 bucks
- 59:37in person last week, and then he sent in Blackjack
- 59:41donation, $21 in addition to that, and he said,
- 59:48if I had heard episode 20, I would have given
- 59:51you the $21 last Thursday, but I also didn't
- 59:55want to be the guy to just donate one more dollar
- 59:57after the fact. So I sent you an extra $21 through
- 1:00:01Venmo for one of hopefully many black checks
- 1:00:03you will receive for episode 21. Keep up the
- 1:00:05great work. Cheers from Lloyd the Brewer. That's
- 1:00:08really funny. Because when you told me about
- 1:00:10the $20, I was waiting for the other shoe to
- 1:00:12drop. And I thought for sure he was going to
- 1:00:14like Venmo you a buck or something, which would
- 1:00:16have been hilarious. He considered it. But I
- 1:00:18appreciate what you did the way you did it, Lloyd.
- 1:00:21Thank you very much, man. Very good. And we have
- 1:00:25one more Blackjack donation. It's the ace of
- 1:00:29clubs and the ten of clubs. Bang Blackjack from
- 1:00:32the Sir Spook of Spokane, who says. Right. Blackjack
- 1:00:36donation from Sir Spook of Spokane. You guys
- 1:00:38missed a great irony last show, one hour, eight
- 1:00:42minutes. Idaho Women's Day is on three, 14, March
- 1:00:4614th, Pi Day. They gave the women Pi Day. Get
- 1:00:49back in the kitchen and make some pies, ladies.
- 1:00:51And then he, so he sent that in with his donation
- 1:00:54and then he texted me later and he said, well,
- 1:00:57my donation note doesn't make any sense as Paul
- 1:00:59caught the irony later in the episode on the
- 1:01:01birds. Suck on that. But I still feel like y
- 1:01:05'all were late to the irony. So what happened
- 1:01:06is he heard that happen, didn't hear us catch
- 1:01:10it immediately. And then he did a shoulder roll
- 1:01:12to his phone and mashed and mashed his, uh, his,
- 1:01:15his message or whatever, whatever he was typing
- 1:01:18that on, uh, and then hit the send button and
- 1:01:21then continued listening to the episode and then
- 1:01:22went, uh, well, sir, that will teach you to judge
- 1:01:27too hastily. Also, thank you for your donation.
- 1:01:32Thank you, sir spook of Spokane and as a man
- 1:01:35who understands the value for value model chicken
- 1:01:38dinner And a couple more here We have Kevin Killian
- 1:01:45who's back the man the myth Kevin what's up?
- 1:01:49Kevin million legend sent in 50 bucks and Just
- 1:01:53in a in his very short note style just wrote
- 1:01:56V for V Kevin and this applies to everybody as
- 1:02:03it always does. But Kevin's the only one so far
- 1:02:05who's taken me up on it. I'm coming down, but
- 1:02:09I'm not, I'm not telling Scott about this. I
- 1:02:10was going to say Scott, you should take off your
- 1:02:12headset so I can say it to everyone but you.
- 1:02:15Go away, Scott. While I make this announcement,
- 1:02:16I'm coming down Thursday, April 9th, that I'm
- 1:02:18going to be in the lounge from about noon, noon
- 1:02:2215 ish, give or take depends on when I get out
- 1:02:24of my appointment. That's a 10 45. I got to come
- 1:02:26down for a doctor's appointment for my busted
- 1:02:28ass Achilles Achilles tendon. and check in on
- 1:02:33that. That's a 10 .45. After that, I'll be at
- 1:02:35the lounge, hopefully right at noon, opening
- 1:02:37time, and I will be there until about 3, 33 .45.
- 1:02:41I got a backgammon date with Dave Temple, but
- 1:02:45I'd love to visit with whoever wants to swing
- 1:02:47by during that time and visit. I can hear already,
- 1:02:50you know, like Sir Spook of Spokane and Brian
- 1:02:53and Lloyd the Brewer and et cetera, going like,
- 1:02:55oh cool, so right in the middle of my work day.
- 1:02:57Sounds great, Paul. I won't see you there. Whoa.
- 1:03:01I mean, it sucks to suck. I don't know what to
- 1:03:02tell you. Maybe have you tried being unemployed?
- 1:03:05I'm just, you know, don't do that though, because
- 1:03:07you need your donations. You're in between ventures.
- 1:03:11Actually, I am employed now. I'm self -employed
- 1:03:13again. I'm doing my own thing. I won't bore everybody
- 1:03:15with that on right now. But the offer is there
- 1:03:19and Kevin, maybe I'll see you. Kevin's in sales,
- 1:03:21so he can kind of do what he wants. And yeah,
- 1:03:24that's the deal. Whoever shows up, I'll buy you
- 1:03:26a drink. I'll buy you a cigar. We'll visit. We'll
- 1:03:28hang out. And we'll have another time that is
- 1:03:31in the evening. So you can get there after work.
- 1:03:33I don't know when that is, but I promise we'll
- 1:03:35do that. And then we will have that get together.
- 1:03:37Scott and I got to put that on the calendar.
- 1:03:39But you know, I never really invite Scott or
- 1:03:41think of him or talk to him about anything. So
- 1:03:43it might take us a while to get there. It's a
- 1:03:45public establishment. Also, you're not me. I
- 1:03:48mean, I guess if you want to come on Thursday
- 1:03:50the 9th, you can. Scott, I'll allow it. You got
- 1:03:53to sit on the other side of the room. I don't
- 1:03:54want people to think that we're friends or anything.
- 1:03:58A couple more here. Let's finish this up so we
- 1:04:01can do second half. I'm kidding. I love Scott.
- 1:04:03There's just a running joke that Scott and I
- 1:04:05hammered to death. I'm going to edit that out
- 1:04:09because I want to keep it going. It's much better
- 1:04:11if you don't do that. Well, no, if you do that,
- 1:04:14you are just like everyone else, Scott. You can't
- 1:04:18do that. And I will tell everybody you did that
- 1:04:20if you do it. I listen to these. I'll know. Sir
- 1:04:24Donald of the fire bottles. Another 50 bucks.
- 1:04:29And he, get this dude, handwritten note from
- 1:04:34Sir Donald of the Fire Bottles. And he says,
- 1:04:38Scott and Paul, $50 for the No ID Show from Sir
- 1:04:42Donald of the Fire Bottles, Secretary General
- 1:04:44of Greater Idaho. And that is because Sir Donald
- 1:04:49wants to be on this side of the border. And because
- 1:04:51he's not going to make the move, he wants the
- 1:04:52border to come to him. I mean, I'm not opposed
- 1:04:56to that idea. We talked about that sort of thing.
- 1:04:58Where do you live, Sir Donald? Where does he
- 1:04:59live? Can you tell me that? I think he's in Spokane.
- 1:05:02I don't know exactly, but he's in Spokane. We
- 1:05:05could take pieces of Spokane. I don't want downtown
- 1:05:09Spokane. No way. We already have issues with
- 1:05:11downtown Coeur d 'Alene. But I'll take the Valley.
- 1:05:14Yeah, we'll consider that. Otis Orchards, Liberty
- 1:05:16Lake. Okay. Okay. So I think Greater Idaho is
- 1:05:20an actual proposal of the... Do you know what
- 1:05:24those boundary lines look like? What the redrawing...
- 1:05:26Yeah, I do actually. Yeah, it includes... Oregon
- 1:05:30all the way to bend. Yes, so basically just just
- 1:05:33take Oregon and and then draw a north -south
- 1:05:35line Basically right at Bend Oregon and everything
- 1:05:38east of that line. It would be part of greater,
- 1:05:41Idaho and Basically the same thing for Washington
- 1:05:44just keep drawing just keep moving that line
- 1:05:46northward at the Cascades so it's basically the
- 1:05:50Cascades essentially serve as the line and yeah,
- 1:05:53I've heard I've heard about that I've looked
- 1:05:54at that on one hand. I think that could be really
- 1:05:58cool On the other hand, personally, I want Idaho
- 1:06:01to be even smaller, not bigger. And a lot of
- 1:06:05Washington Republicans are not as Republican
- 1:06:07as some Idaho Republicans. So I mean, I just
- 1:06:13want North Idaho to break off. Right. That's
- 1:06:16what I want. And then, and then I want Clark
- 1:06:18fork to break off and then I'm going to secede
- 1:06:23just from everything and everybody, which I should
- 1:06:25be able to do. But thank you for the donation.
- 1:06:27You're welcome to come to Idaho. Yes, thank you,
- 1:06:30Sir Donald. And finally, Chris Erickson, who
- 1:06:35is the originator, Chris with a K, originator
- 1:06:37of the Shiny Schmeckle donation, slapped another
- 1:06:41999 into my hand and said, here is another Shiny
- 1:06:49Schmeckle donation. So Chris with a K is back.
- 1:06:53and making good on his shiny schmeckle. And this
- 1:06:56is what I was alluding to earlier, where he was
- 1:06:59saying, and there's not a written note because
- 1:07:01he was saying it to me in person at our meetup,
- 1:07:03and he was saying, you know, he spent a lot of
- 1:07:07time in Seattle, Chris did, and so he's still
- 1:07:10in the, not still, that's not the right way to
- 1:07:13say it. He has maybe a little less cynicism with
- 1:07:16regard to Idaho's government than we do, and
- 1:07:20certainly not like as we. Like for what we present
- 1:07:23on the show and because we do we do a lot of
- 1:07:26criticism and deconstruction and stuff and so
- 1:07:28it sounds like It's like oh well all government
- 1:07:31is equally bad and terrible across the board
- 1:07:34and I it is important I said this to him in person
- 1:07:36like I I don't want to lose sight of of like
- 1:07:40relative equivalence because especially when
- 1:07:44I first moved here in like 2020 and 2021 You
- 1:07:47know there was There was a really distinct difference,
- 1:07:51which really it flowed from the people much more
- 1:07:53than it did from the government. But there are
- 1:07:56shades of gray. And yes, it is less bad here.
- 1:08:00And yes, here there there still are state representatives
- 1:08:03who say things in the microphones that aren't
- 1:08:06crazy. And, you know, in other places like your
- 1:08:08Seattle's and your L .A.'s and your Portland's
- 1:08:10and stuff, they just all sound like commies.
- 1:08:12And here only some of them do. So, yes, I don't
- 1:08:15want to lose sight of that. That's true. I'll
- 1:08:19freely admit it. And yeah, we are pretty cynical.
- 1:08:23It's easy to be. And this is all true. But at
- 1:08:28the same time, when you measure the speed of
- 1:08:30measuring sticks and how we, you know, by what
- 1:08:32standard? Well, for me, and Scott's pretty dang
- 1:08:36close to me, I think on most of this as well.
- 1:08:39The measuring stick is the standard is, you know,
- 1:08:43maximum liberty or less liberty. And ultimately,
- 1:08:47even though North Idaho, in North Idaho are better
- 1:08:50than most, and they are. They are better than
- 1:08:53most places on earth, I would say. Yep. You got
- 1:08:56your mountains, you got your water, you got your
- 1:08:58beautiful skies, you've got all the good stuff.
- 1:09:01And you are more free here than you are in probably
- 1:09:0480 % or more of the world while enjoying the
- 1:09:07first world amenities like running water and
- 1:09:09internet and both Western and Eastern medicine.
- 1:09:14Yeah. Hey, the toilets flush and everything.
- 1:09:17They do and I it's I love it. I'm gonna die here.
- 1:09:21I get that So those are good, you know, all good
- 1:09:23things all good points and good to be reminded
- 1:09:25of however at the same time my god We're not
- 1:09:28even close to where we should be for for where
- 1:09:31I want to be for liberty in the even close. Yep
- 1:09:33It's unfortunate. I think we make clear on a
- 1:09:37sentence by sentence basis So and but I just
- 1:09:39wanted to acknowledge that that Chris is right
- 1:09:41and I appreciated the point He made and I guess
- 1:09:43his donation. Yes. Thank you Chris point point
- 1:09:47to Chris points to all you guys really appreciate
- 1:09:49the donations. We really do not to get too sappy
- 1:09:51about it We joke and joke and joke, but it's
- 1:09:54really cool. What you guys are doing. I appreciate
- 1:09:57it I know Scott does as well. So thanks guys.
- 1:09:59Thank you very much Go to no ID show calm if
- 1:10:03you would like to contribute back to the show
- 1:10:05time talent treasure value for value That's how
- 1:10:08we roll no ID show calm Second half of show let's
- 1:10:20start off with another follow -up and it is with
- 1:10:24no no sir you have forgotten I'm sorry Scott
- 1:10:26I'm interjecting but you forgot don't you don't
- 1:10:29you take this away from me oh you're right okay
- 1:10:31here we go let's go let's go you know what time
- 1:10:37it is Scott Get your philosophical shadow boxing
- 1:10:49in number up, baby Got a lot of insanity to dodge
- 1:10:56Keep wailing baby All right, it's time for Scott's
- 1:11:05shots Scott, are you familiar with a man by the
- 1:11:11name of Ryan Cole I should be more specific.
- 1:11:16Dr. Ryan Cole No, well Just recently, Dr. Ryan
- 1:11:26Cole has been appointed to a senior leadership
- 1:11:30position in the Independent Medical Alliance.
- 1:11:34Dr. Ryan Cole is from Garden City, Boise area.
- 1:11:39What do you think the CDC and the Idaho Medical
- 1:11:45Association thought of this? Well, he's from
- 1:11:53something that's called independent. And boy,
- 1:11:57do they hate independence in physicians. They
- 1:12:01attempt to breed it out of them and beat it out
- 1:12:04of them and otherwise cultivate an independence
- 1:12:06-free environment in the Western medicine establishment.
- 1:12:11So what did the, so what I'm looking for, what,
- 1:12:13like the exact, like a sort of quote or is this
- 1:12:15like a, like a spokesman from the CDC made a
- 1:12:18statement about it? Just give me a general sentiment
- 1:12:21even. Again, the judges are being pretty pretty
- 1:12:25lenient today, at least on my end. Obviously
- 1:12:27yours haven't been, but. Well, you know how it
- 1:12:30goes when you when you have a a homogenous panel,
- 1:12:34they always just everything this is copacetic,
- 1:12:35you know. Actually, it's the it's the opposite,
- 1:12:38though. Usually when you have a DEI panel of
- 1:12:40judges like you do, the standard is lower. So
- 1:12:43it's opposite day. I'm going to say, I mean,
- 1:12:50I guess if I'm the sentiment has to be like.
- 1:12:54you know, the appointment of this guy is going
- 1:12:56to kill people because of his like anti -vaccine
- 1:13:00stance or something thereabouts. Good enough.
- 1:13:06All right. Cole narrowly secured the votes needed
- 1:13:08to become the only physician on the Boise area
- 1:13:11central district health board in 2021. Now he
- 1:13:16has been appointed to a senior leadership position
- 1:13:19of the independent medical alliance. I quote,
- 1:13:22This is his words, medicine must return to science
- 1:13:26grounded in real world, real world clinical data
- 1:13:29and the sacred doctor patient relationship. In
- 1:13:33this new role, I look forward to helping translate
- 1:13:36frontline clinical evidence into responsible
- 1:13:39education, meaningful research collaboration
- 1:13:42and policy solutions that improve patient outcomes
- 1:13:44and restore the trust of healthcare. As you can
- 1:13:47tell Scott, Ryan Cole is a knuckle dragging extremist.
- 1:13:52Oh yeah, far right, clue clutch plan. The issue
- 1:13:54being, our primary concern, his opponents say,
- 1:13:59is that he says he has treated patients from
- 1:14:02Florida to California by refusing to use accepted
- 1:14:05and documented medical practices and vaccinations
- 1:14:08and instead has prescribed, double shot for you
- 1:14:12Scott, what did he prescribe instead? Ivermectin.
- 1:14:18Too easy. We believe this practice does more
- 1:14:21harm than good and it should be stopped. Sure,
- 1:14:24you do. On the other hand, the press release
- 1:14:27from the Independent Medical Alliance praised
- 1:14:29Cole for rebelling against mainstream medical
- 1:14:31guidance. Brought to you by Pfizer. That's the
- 1:14:37state of medicine. Yes, it is. Sadly. Yeah. Ryan
- 1:14:42Cole's biggest sin, according to the CDC, is
- 1:14:46that he alerted the public to cases of myocarditis
- 1:14:50or inflammation of the heart muscle. observed
- 1:14:53in young men in particular after they received
- 1:14:55the second round of the mRNA vaccines for COVID.
- 1:15:01The CDC assured us that such cases are rare and
- 1:15:07most patients saw their symptoms resolve by the
- 1:15:10time they were discharged from the hospital.
- 1:15:12Ryan Cole pushed a false narrative. Sure he did.
- 1:15:18Yep. Uh, as a, as asserted by the credibility
- 1:15:21free CDC. So here's the best part, I think really
- 1:15:26of all of it. And this is where us breaking down
- 1:15:29the mainstream narrative comes into play because
- 1:15:31it was the, uh, the Idaho Statesman, a known
- 1:15:34yellow journalistic rag out of the Boise area
- 1:15:37just reveals their hand more than they already
- 1:15:40did right at the, towards the end of the article.
- 1:15:44There's just a little blurb. He previously ran
- 1:15:47an independent medical laboratory in Garden City
- 1:15:49called Cold Diagnostics, but it closed in December
- 1:15:52of 2022. That's it. That's the blurb. Yeah. So,
- 1:15:59but it's perfect. It's a perfect tactic because
- 1:16:01they don't give any background. They don't give
- 1:16:02any context. There's no rhyme or reason. There's
- 1:16:04no nothing at all. Just that he did do this thing,
- 1:16:09but then it closed. Yeah, probably for nefarious
- 1:16:13reasons. Of course. It was probably it was a
- 1:16:15pre -dawn raid You know and then they closed
- 1:16:17up his you know, they shut him down because of
- 1:16:19the horrible You know, whatever he was doing
- 1:16:21in there was just beyond the pale Yeah Anyways,
- 1:16:27I thought you'd appreciate that I do appreciate
- 1:16:29that and you know, hey there aren't a lot of
- 1:16:32places where Ryan Cole would be in would he even
- 1:16:36get into that position? So to Chris with a case.
- 1:16:39Yeah, you know here we are That was kind of my
- 1:16:42thought is only it is one of the few places where
- 1:16:45he actually would have a voice and he did have
- 1:16:47a voice and they tried to shut him down and ultimately
- 1:16:50they couldn't but boy the statesmen and the Boise
- 1:16:53elites sure don't like it. Do they they do not
- 1:16:55you and under normal circumstances they would
- 1:16:57be jazzed because he's the only guy from Idaho
- 1:17:01who is in a leadership position at this the Independent
- 1:17:05Medical Alliance So but he doesn't think correctly
- 1:17:09you would think that correct Yeah, there you
- 1:17:12are. Let's do a follow up. So what am I? Am I
- 1:17:17now like nine for nine, I think? Yeah. But the
- 1:17:20important thing is that you feel good about yourself.
- 1:17:24Here is a follow up on the license plate registration
- 1:17:29stickers that we officially no longer are going
- 1:17:31to have. on our vehicles. This has been an ongoing
- 1:17:34story for like four. It's the gift that keeps
- 1:17:38on giving. Okay, you're actually not gonna even
- 1:17:40believe this. I consider doing an Ask Paul for
- 1:17:42this clip, but it's so outlandish. It's so ridiculous.
- 1:17:45It was unguessable. So I didn't do it, but you'll
- 1:17:48hear it in a moment. Please tell me it has to
- 1:17:52do with people randomly standing in line for
- 1:17:55two days for it. It's better. Idahoans will no
- 1:17:58longer be required to put physical stickers on
- 1:18:01their license plates. Those sort of in the bottom
- 1:18:04right there. Governor Brad Little signed House
- 1:18:06Bill 533 in the law earlier this month, aiming
- 1:18:08to save the state 300 grand a year. But the bill
- 1:18:11was approved despite opposition from local law
- 1:18:14enforcement. Multiple Idaho agencies spoke out
- 1:18:17against the bill, saying it's going to make an
- 1:18:19already difficult job even harder. Now, without
- 1:18:23stickers, the officers won't have the ability
- 1:18:25unless they run the license plate on the vehicle
- 1:18:27in their car or they call their dispatch center.
- 1:18:30OK, so this is I believe they'll say it in a
- 1:18:32second. I think it's the Nampa police chief.
- 1:18:34But I want you to hear him describe how much
- 1:18:37more difficult life is going to be for his officers.
- 1:18:41Or they call their dispatch center because not
- 1:18:43every agency in Idaho has the computers in their
- 1:18:45car. They have to call their dispatch center
- 1:18:47and a lot of the smaller agencies. some of the
- 1:18:50rural counties, the radios don't work. And in
- 1:18:52some places, if they need to call dispatch, they
- 1:18:54actually have to find a pay phone and call 911
- 1:18:56to call into dispatch. So it's just going to,
- 1:18:59it's just another tool that they've taken away
- 1:19:01from us. Whatever. I will, I will take things
- 1:19:06that never happens for 1000 Trebek. There has
- 1:19:09not been a phone on street corner one since like
- 1:19:131998. Just to even make the argument that Any
- 1:19:20of the departments don't have communication equipment.
- 1:19:24Oh, radios don't work. Shut up. Just shut up.
- 1:19:29You, you were the worst. You people are the worst.
- 1:19:32I'll tell you what, maybe they can borrow Kootenai
- 1:19:37County's helicopter from sheriff Norris. I'll
- 1:19:40bet that has a radio. So how, how will they harass
- 1:19:47us efficiently? if they don't have tags on our
- 1:19:51license plates. That's the real question here.
- 1:19:54That's what's at stake. It's like, how will we
- 1:19:57more easily extract revenue from motorists? How
- 1:20:01dare you make it harder? How dare you make it
- 1:20:04easier for people to travel unabated and unimpeded
- 1:20:07by us, the mercenaries, also known as law enforcement.
- 1:20:11By the way, speaking of standards and measuring
- 1:20:14sticks, The moment the cops say they are for
- 1:20:18something, I'm against it. And a lot of the smaller
- 1:20:21agencies, some of the rural counties, the radios
- 1:20:24don't work. And in some places, if they need
- 1:20:26to call dispatch, they actually have to find
- 1:20:27a pay phone and call 911 to call into dispatch.
- 1:20:31So it's just going to it's just another tool
- 1:20:33that they've taken away from us. It was Garden
- 1:20:35City Chief. You know what they call being a cop
- 1:20:38and not having a radio. So bold strategy caught.
- 1:20:41And let's see if it pays off for. Well, they
- 1:20:44have a radio it just doesn't work of course,
- 1:20:47you know what the answer to that problem is money
- 1:20:49The budget this is not enough money was Garden
- 1:20:52City Chief Police Corey Stambaugh He says he
- 1:20:55would like to see more collaboration between
- 1:20:57lawmakers and the people are impacted most by
- 1:21:00the laws They pass which is us that's us when
- 1:21:03we have Legislatures or outside groups who have
- 1:21:06good intent maybe on passing laws There might
- 1:21:09be a reason that they see they need it, but they
- 1:21:11don't talk to the experts, the experts, they
- 1:21:13didn't talk to the police chiefs, they didn't
- 1:21:15talk to the sheriffs, they didn't talk to the
- 1:21:17prosecutors, and they just throw these bills
- 1:21:20out there. You still need to renew your vehicle
- 1:21:22registration on time to avoid fines. Law enforcement
- 1:21:25will continue checking registration during traffic
- 1:21:28stops. Your current plates will stay valid without
- 1:21:31any changes, though, so make sure to keep those
- 1:21:33stickers until July 1st. You know, there's an
- 1:21:37anecdote that I have heard over the years. The
- 1:21:40source of it isn't even really important. It
- 1:21:42was just about fire, like the fire department,
- 1:21:46and having the classroom doors in like Southern
- 1:21:51California, because that's where I grew up, in
- 1:21:53schools in Southern California and, you know,
- 1:21:55sort of pre -ubiquitous air conditioning. And
- 1:21:58it was very, it was sweltering, you know, for
- 1:22:00like previous generations of school children.
- 1:22:01But they were, because of the fire risk, like,
- 1:22:05well, we have to keep, you know, there are 30
- 1:22:07-minute doors or 60 -minute doors. We have to
- 1:22:08keep classroom doors closed. per, you know, fire
- 1:22:11chiefs and fire departments who are making these
- 1:22:13rules for public school campuses. And yes, it's
- 1:22:16sweltering and you can't learn because you can't
- 1:22:18think, but, you know, fire risk. Well, it was
- 1:22:23sort of illustrative of in some circumstances,
- 1:22:27the opinions of the, quote, experts are actually
- 1:22:30what you want the least. They're the least qualified
- 1:22:34to speak on that topic because they see They
- 1:22:38see that thing, it's all they see. All that Fire
- 1:22:41Chief sees is fires. So everything else is secondary
- 1:22:44to him. See what I'm saying? That is not who
- 1:22:47you want making policy. Well, experts can't know
- 1:22:51everything. They're only experts in their field.
- 1:22:53And what they don't know is the unintended consequences
- 1:22:56of how everything else interacts, everybody else's
- 1:22:59actions, and how everything else interacts. They
- 1:23:03say, as an Austrian economics guy, One of the
- 1:23:08big things about Austrian style economics is
- 1:23:11that no one person, nor committee, nor government,
- 1:23:14nor group of people can possibly possess all
- 1:23:18of the knowledge necessary to properly run an
- 1:23:21economy. Individuals acting in their own best
- 1:23:24interests in a peaceable way do that on their
- 1:23:27own. And the spontaneous order forms because
- 1:23:31of it. Same thing with the experts, the fire
- 1:23:35chiefs, the police officers. They don't know
- 1:23:37everything either. They know what affects them.
- 1:23:39And if they don't like it, they're in a position
- 1:23:41of power. So they bitch and they mule pretty
- 1:23:43loud about it. And because their professions
- 1:23:45are considered almost demigod -like, you can't
- 1:23:48touch them. You can't talk bad about them. You
- 1:23:50can't criticize them. God forbid you don't give
- 1:23:52them every dime they ask for, by the way. Those
- 1:23:54are cults. If you can't criticize it or deny
- 1:23:57it everything it wants, that's a cult. It's an
- 1:24:00appeal to authority, which is also a logical
- 1:24:02fallacy when you're dealing in the world of debate.
- 1:24:06That's like one of the number one logical fallacies
- 1:24:08that people employ is like, well, the experts
- 1:24:10think or the experts agree. Yeah. Well, the experts
- 1:24:12said two weeks to flatten the curve, right? The
- 1:24:14experts said, take your eighth vaccine. It'll
- 1:24:16keep you from doing God. I don't even know anymore
- 1:24:19because by that time nobody could take them seriously.
- 1:24:21Yes. And when the precious or idiots, when the
- 1:24:23precious few experts were ran contrary to that
- 1:24:27narrative. They were, they were also, they weren't
- 1:24:30experts anymore. Exactly. So when you ask, well,
- 1:24:33how do I know which expert to listen to? Yeah.
- 1:24:37And consensus doesn't mean it's correct. Consensus
- 1:24:40is not correct. It's actually, it's usually a
- 1:24:43sign of incorrectness. If we're, if we're going
- 1:24:45to use like a historical context, usually it's
- 1:24:48incorrect. It's called mob mentality. Yup. Furthermore,
- 1:24:54with regards to experts, they have a vested interest.
- 1:24:58in maintaining their position of power. They
- 1:25:01have a vested interest in calling the shots.
- 1:25:03They have a vested interest in the illusion of
- 1:25:05their intelligence. So naturally they're gonna
- 1:25:08behave in a way that preserves the institution
- 1:25:11that props them up. So they're gonna issue laws,
- 1:25:14they're gonna issue proclamations, they're gonna
- 1:25:16have opinions that are all geared toward, whether
- 1:25:18intentional or not, it's just human nature. They're
- 1:25:21all geared towards, I'm important. I know what
- 1:25:24I'm talking about. This impacts me a particular
- 1:25:26way. and I'm for it or against it because of
- 1:25:29how it impacts me and my profession and how important
- 1:25:32and insulated I am. Not the benefit of everybody
- 1:25:36else, although oftentimes the way the experts
- 1:25:38talk, they talk as if they are speaking on behalf
- 1:25:42of everybody else or they're advocating for the
- 1:25:44general population or for my safety or my health
- 1:25:47or whatever, but truly is to protect their own
- 1:25:50asses and keep themselves in the position of
- 1:25:53power that they enjoy. Here is what the experts
- 1:25:57on spirituality... have mandated in Idaho public
- 1:26:01schools as of five minutes ago. It is now law
- 1:26:04to have a mandatory 60 second moment of silence
- 1:26:06in Idaho public schools. Governor Brad Little
- 1:26:09signed that bill into law last week. The law
- 1:26:11requires all K through 12 public schools to start
- 1:26:13each day with a one minute moment of silence.
- 1:26:16The bill sponsor says the time can be used for
- 1:26:18reflection, meditation or prayer. Supporters
- 1:26:21say this could improve students mental health,
- 1:26:23but critics say the law blurs the line between
- 1:26:26church and state and puts pressure. I want to
- 1:26:33have a moment of silence for common sense. I
- 1:26:39was going to look up, maybe I've been out of
- 1:26:42the loop for a long while, but I was going to
- 1:26:44look up if it is required for students in Idaho
- 1:26:48to say the Pledge of Allegiance still in schools.
- 1:26:52So that's a curiosity to me. So my guess is part
- 1:26:57of this stems from that. Because at some point
- 1:27:01somebody looked at that and said well, we got
- 1:27:03to have something We can't have the pledge anymore
- 1:27:06because that probably won't survive a legal challenge
- 1:27:09Well, by the way, I'm fine with let's clarify
- 1:27:11because it's let me get goes on so it's not required
- 1:27:14Well not required to say it but schools must
- 1:27:18provide an opportunity to recite the pledge and
- 1:27:20it's typically done daily Okay, so but it is
- 1:27:23students cannot be forced to participate They
- 1:27:25may remain seated or stay silent or decline entirely.
- 1:27:28So it does it does happen, but it's not like
- 1:27:30you know, it's not like the teachers are there
- 1:27:32saying like, you can just not say it. Yeah. Well,
- 1:27:39that's what I was asking. That was the, you answered
- 1:27:41my question. It is what you were asking. It is
- 1:27:42required for schools to do it, not required for
- 1:27:47students or teachers even, I guess, to do it,
- 1:27:50but it's required for schools to do it. Okay.
- 1:27:53Interesting. Because I was gonna say then if
- 1:27:55that is the case that it's no longer required
- 1:27:57for schools to do the pledge and I imagine a
- 1:27:59lot of them Don't and then somebody felt the
- 1:28:02need to fill the gap. Okay, clearly that's not
- 1:28:04the case So this is an add -on to the pledge
- 1:28:08which by the way, the pledge thing is hilarious
- 1:28:10to me because the people who Mostly who want
- 1:28:13the pledge? Preserved and think that you know
- 1:28:16students should say it every day in school and
- 1:28:18whatnot tend to be conservative ish. Yeah people
- 1:28:22Although I kind of use that, I use air quotes
- 1:28:24when I say that because if they knew better and
- 1:28:25they were true conservatives, and especially
- 1:28:28libertarians, then they wouldn't be for saying
- 1:28:31the pledge was written by a renowned socialist
- 1:28:34and the pledge itself is damn near, I mean it
- 1:28:37is damn near fascism in a paragraph. You're literally
- 1:28:44pledging allegiance to the state and its sky
- 1:28:47cloth. The guy who wrote it was an avowed notorious
- 1:28:51socialist. Is that right? So, oh yeah, yeah,
- 1:28:54he was a hardcore statist socialist. He believed
- 1:28:57in the supremacy of the state. So it's ironic.
- 1:29:01And it was intentional. It wasn't news to the
- 1:29:05people who picked it. That's a historical lesson
- 1:29:08we can unpack at another time. So it is ironic,
- 1:29:11though, that a huge swath of the demographic
- 1:29:13that should be the most against the Pledge of
- 1:29:15Allegiance. tend to be the ones that want to
- 1:29:17preserve it the hardest. That being said, this
- 1:29:20moment of silence, like why? I mean, they tell
- 1:29:26us why. I actually sent you this article because
- 1:29:29it cracked me up and the quotes from the article
- 1:29:32is what really caught my attention. It was such
- 1:29:35a menagerie of opinions on it and all of them
- 1:29:38were stupid. Let's see, where do I want to start?
- 1:29:43Because there were three that were just great.
- 1:29:45One of the, there was, they interviewed a pastor
- 1:29:48or a priest and his feedback was, this is wonderfully
- 1:29:52neutral. Students can be religious if they like
- 1:29:55it's so huzzah. And I'm thinking you're a, you're
- 1:29:59a priest. You, you don't want wonderfully neutral.
- 1:30:04They probably interviewed a guy from Boise. I'm
- 1:30:06sure probably a priest from one of those priests
- 1:30:08or Lutheran. Like instead of the, the white piece
- 1:30:12like we're on the, on the neck high, the collar,
- 1:30:14you know, it's the little white, uh, section
- 1:30:16that's showing. No, not some of them when they
- 1:30:18show up at the state house to like argue on behalf
- 1:30:20of the trans Maoist stuff. It's a little rainbow
- 1:30:24peeking out of their collar instead. So it's
- 1:30:26probably one of them. I would wager that hardcore.
- 1:30:30So that just blew my mind. Cause I'm like, okay,
- 1:30:33we, we know a pastor at deer flat church. It
- 1:30:36doesn't, it says, this is a piece of legislation
- 1:30:38that is beautifully neutral. It doesn't favor
- 1:30:41any belief system or activity. This guy's a pastor.
- 1:30:45Just FYI. I mean, at least stand for something,
- 1:30:48right? Like, I don't care if you are a religion
- 1:30:50I disagree with. If you are a pastor for that
- 1:30:53religion, you should take not a vanilla stance
- 1:30:58on it. I love this one, too. See, it says a supporters
- 1:31:03of the measure. Who's this? Oh, Representative
- 1:31:05Bruce Scog, who has had a really interesting.
- 1:31:07Legislative session this the stuff that Bruce
- 1:31:10Scalg Republican from Napa has brought to the
- 1:31:13legislative floors most of it has been just a
- 1:31:16lot of WTF stuff I'm guessing he's the one who
- 1:31:19brought it and he says Idaho has failed When
- 1:31:23it comes to the suicide of our children for different
- 1:31:26different reasons What? Cue the soundbite. That's
- 1:31:37why we need a moment of silence Scott because
- 1:31:39to quote Bruce Scalg from killing themselves
- 1:31:43I kid you not, this is the quote, Idaho has failed
- 1:31:46when it comes to suicide of our children. I'm
- 1:31:49reading this verbatim. Idaho has failed when
- 1:31:51it comes to suicide of our children for different
- 1:31:53comma, different reasons. This moment of silence
- 1:31:57for me, I think will help that looking at the
- 1:32:01other states. That's the quote. And then the
- 1:32:10third one. Kat Ross a Boise mother, of course,
- 1:32:14they start with that right a Boise mother. She's
- 1:32:16a mother So we can't so we can't argue against
- 1:32:20her obviously because she's a mother I am a mother
- 1:32:22But she's a mother with the right opinions, of
- 1:32:24course and a member of the Boise school districts
- 1:32:27to parent advocacy group So you already know
- 1:32:30we already know what we need to know about her
- 1:32:32philosophically ideologically and politically
- 1:32:33Says she worries that students could feel social
- 1:32:37pressure during the moment of silence as if they
- 1:32:39don't for like the entire time they're stuck
- 1:32:41inside these schools that resemble prisons from
- 1:32:44zero to 18 yeah no it's the one minute of silence
- 1:32:48that's gonna break them it makes me think of
- 1:32:51my daughter sitting in the classroom where it's
- 1:32:54a mix of students and could potentially feel
- 1:32:56pressured to take up like well they're praying
- 1:33:00and i want to fit in with them and i should do
- 1:33:02that so this mother's concern is oh no other
- 1:33:06people are praying maybe i should try praying
- 1:33:08Oh my gosh. And then finally, representative
- 1:33:11Sonia Galavis, Democrat from Boise, who was also
- 1:33:14a teacher and a mother says, quiet reflection
- 1:33:18can be valuable, but she warned against policies
- 1:33:22that could be interpreted as encouraging prayer.
- 1:33:25Oh my God, Scott. No, we might encourage prayer.
- 1:33:29Anything but that. I love how the two negative
- 1:33:35ones they got were both like, it could be about
- 1:33:39prayer. Oh my God, not like the one guy who's
- 1:33:43who's like for it and not a legislature legislator,
- 1:33:48the one who has the most vested interest as a
- 1:33:50religious leader, leader, leader, the pastor
- 1:33:52is the least concerned about the religion aspect
- 1:33:55of it. It's so backwards. He's like, oh, thank
- 1:34:00God it doesn't have anything to do with God or
- 1:34:02prayer or religion. It's super neutral. And the
- 1:34:04two hardcore leftists are like, oh, there might
- 1:34:08be prayer. And then the guy who, the guy who
- 1:34:12supports it in the legislature, Scog is like,
- 1:34:15um, children are killing themselves too much
- 1:34:17and this will help. And this right here, Scott,
- 1:34:21why I sent this to you is because this is the,
- 1:34:24this is the Idaho legislative process in a nutshell.
- 1:34:27Oh brother. And we always talk about like, aren't
- 1:34:31these people supposed to be smart? No, they're
- 1:34:34idiots. Almost all of them are bonafide, low
- 1:34:36IQ individuals, NPCs, doing NPC shit and thinking
- 1:34:42they're smart. And we vote for them. Here is...
- 1:34:50Before my brain is... I hope this legislation
- 1:34:54has electrolytes, because it's what plants crave.
- 1:34:57You know, it's phenomenal that you actually use
- 1:35:00the word electrolytes, because here's what I
- 1:35:02was about to play next. We're winding down here,
- 1:35:04we're getting near the end, but here's another...
- 1:35:05This is a follow -up show, I guess. Here's another
- 1:35:07follow -up with regard to the food stamps and
- 1:35:11benefits and the candy and soda. And I can't
- 1:35:14believe you used the word electrolytes. Rules
- 1:35:16on buying candy and soda with SNAP benefits changed
- 1:35:19this year. But some shoppers and retailers say
- 1:35:22those new changes are still confusing. And a
- 1:35:25bill in the House is now trying to clear things
- 1:35:27up. House Bill 903 aims to clarify restrictions
- 1:35:30on candy and soda that took effect in February.
- 1:35:33Sponsored by Representative Jordan Redman, the
- 1:35:36bill passed in the House Thursday is meant to
- 1:35:39better define what items qualify under SNAP.
- 1:35:41Right now, candy is generally banned unless it
- 1:35:44contains flour or requires refrigeration. But
- 1:35:47under the current bill, only items requiring
- 1:35:49refrigeration are allowed, including some baked
- 1:35:51goods and baking ingredients. And it clarifies
- 1:35:54drinks with electrolytes, granola bars and fruit
- 1:35:57snacks would now be allowed. So in other words,
- 1:36:00you can get Gatorade. But Thursday, Representative
- 1:36:03Redmond proposed new amendments. We are looking
- 1:36:06to actually strike out which would be cookies,
- 1:36:09cakes, brownies, sprinkles, and snack bars. Uh
- 1:36:12huh. Those changes would restrict items... Not
- 1:36:14the sprinkles! No! Wait, wait, now are we talking
- 1:36:17the rainbow sprinkles and the chocolate sprinkles?
- 1:36:20And what about the little circles? Or is it only
- 1:36:23the ones that are sort of like the rectangle
- 1:36:25cylindrical ones? Like what are we talking about
- 1:36:27here? It depends on whether or not you can refrigerate
- 1:36:30the sprinkles or if they have gluten in them.
- 1:36:32What if I just put them in the refrigerator?
- 1:36:34Does that count? Baking ingredients and even
- 1:36:36chips. Representative Redmond admitted he made
- 1:36:39the decision without consulting the associations
- 1:36:41as a lawmaker. Oh God knows are the decisions
- 1:36:44that we can make. Eaton says she was caught off
- 1:36:46guard by the last minute changes and still hopes
- 1:36:49the final bill remains cohesive. This is spur
- 1:36:51of the moment. I think the reason why some of
- 1:36:55these things like sprinkles were in it is because
- 1:36:58sprinkles are in your baking goods. Why can you
- 1:37:01get one thing and not the like? a cake mix, but
- 1:37:04you can't get the chocolate chips. I mean, I
- 1:37:07think we were trying to make it a little bit
- 1:37:08more uniform. Some lawmakers pushed back on the...
- 1:37:13Matt, I just, I got this picture in my head of
- 1:37:16these overweight, obese, poor people waddling
- 1:37:21into the local gas station just around the corner
- 1:37:23from their section eight housing. And they grab
- 1:37:26their, they grab their cookies and they bring
- 1:37:30them up to the front counter and the cashier
- 1:37:33who's barely 16 and their parents made them get
- 1:37:37that job and they don't care and they hate life
- 1:37:38or like, Hey, I can't tell if those are sprinkles
- 1:37:42or chocolate chips. You just got to put those
- 1:37:44back and said section eight housing. People are
- 1:37:47like, I'll fight you for this cookie. Don't you
- 1:37:50be taking away my sprinkles. This is, this is
- 1:37:59insane. And we have officially dropped into the
- 1:38:06realm of idiocracy. We are we're in a simulation
- 1:38:09where apps the only thing Mike judge got wrong
- 1:38:12was the timeline He had it in like, you know,
- 1:38:1425 36 or whatever No, no, we got there much quicker
- 1:38:17than he anticipated and you know what? The best
- 1:38:20part of this is Paul. We haven't even gotten
- 1:38:22to the punchline of this clip. Some lawmakers
- 1:38:24pushed back on the changes. I don't get ready,
- 1:38:27get ready for another intellectual powerhouse
- 1:38:30down there at the state. He's about to articulate
- 1:38:32why he thinks that snap should cover this stuff.
- 1:38:35I don't know if you know, chips and cake and
- 1:38:37cookies are bad. I told my wife, if the doctor
- 1:38:42tells me no coke and no cookies, just shoot me.
- 1:38:45While others see Paul, he likes it. Well, this
- 1:38:58guy, I bet. These people are nuts. Listen to
- 1:39:07the conversations they're having. These people
- 1:39:09are psycho. This guy is probably a Mormon and
- 1:39:18is probably the kind of guy who is super happy
- 1:39:22to uphold the poker ban and and would ban alcohol
- 1:39:26if given the opportunity. and thinks anything
- 1:39:29that's not an opioid or a legally prescribed
- 1:39:32narcotic is perfectly acceptable. Oh, like refined
- 1:39:36sugar, by the way, which lights up the same parts
- 1:39:37of your brain as heroin and ecstasy does. Well,
- 1:39:41that's why he wants to be dead if he can't have
- 1:39:44it. That's why, you know, he needs those... What
- 1:39:46a great argument. At the risk of getting on another
- 1:39:49watch list, I say that we indulge him. Also,
- 1:39:53earlier when you said the, I don't get it, I
- 1:39:56actually... Have a sound clip for that. I thought
- 1:40:00you might yeah Right. Yeah, that's what I was
- 1:40:03you played the last show. That's what people
- 1:40:04that's what I was quoting. Oh, okay Okay, I think
- 1:40:06I wondered but I wasn't sure it wasn't yeah.
- 1:40:08It's like I've got that Leadily. Yeah, let's
- 1:40:11okay here. There's only a couple moments in the
- 1:40:14clip left after the Just the stunningly brave
- 1:40:18and well thought -out commentary from this leader.
- 1:40:21It's not even an argument. It's it's not even
- 1:40:23a key like well Well, hey, hey, the mainstream
- 1:40:27media says it is because they're like, well,
- 1:40:29some pushed back. And here's what they had to
- 1:40:30say. Some lawmakers pushed back on the changes.
- 1:40:33I don't know if chips and cake and cookies are
- 1:40:36bad. I told my wife, if the doctor tells me no
- 1:40:41coke and no cookies, just shoot me. While others
