• 0:12
Speaker 1: a Czech o'daly. It's Andrew Decheco HEREFM Insidethebirds dot com.

Speaker 1: The Eagles return to the practice field Thursday at three
• 0:18
Speaker 1: o'clock and Nick Sirianni will speak at twelve ten. That'll
• 0:23
Speaker 1: be the first time the Eagles have media availability coming
• 0:27
Speaker 1: off the bye week. Looking forward to meeting the new Eagles.
• 0:30
Speaker 1: So Jalen Phillips, Michael Carter, and JayR Alexander get to
• 0:37
Speaker 1: know a little bit about their story, what the process
• 0:40
Speaker 1: was like, maybe what their previous situations were like, and
• 0:43
Speaker 1: maybe some of how they you know, for jay R Alexander,
• 0:47
Speaker 1: his relationship with Christian Parker, with Jalen Phillips, his relationship
• 0:52
Speaker 1: with Vic Vangio. So that'll be good.
• 0:54
Speaker 2: Hey, it's Jeff Mosher. And if you have a family
• 0:57
Speaker 2: and kids at home, like me, you always want them
• 0:59
Speaker 2: to be fully protected. That's why I'm thrilled to be
• 1:02
Speaker 2: a simply safe customer. And our house is equipped with
• 1:05
Speaker 2: the most technologically advanced alarm system you can get. If
• 1:08
Speaker 2: you could actually stop someone from breaking into your home
• 1:11
Speaker 2: before they got inside, why wouldn't you Traditional security systems
• 1:14
Speaker 2: only react after a break in. But simply safe is
• 1:18
Speaker 2: different because it stops crimes before they happen. With active
• 1:22
Speaker 2: guard outdoor protection. They're AI powered cameras detect threats while
• 1:26
Speaker 2: they're still outside your home and they alert real security agents.
• 1:30
Speaker 2: These agents take action while the intruder is still outside
• 1:34
Speaker 2: and confront the intruder to let them know they're being
• 1:36
Speaker 2: watched on camera and police is on the way. And
• 1:39
  Speaker 2: that's how you stop a crime before it's committed. There's
• 1:42
Speaker 2: no long term contracts or hidden fees. You can cancel
• 1:45
Speaker 2: any time, and it comes with a sixty day money
• 1:48
Speaker 2: back guarantee. Try it and see the difference for yourself.
• 1:51
Speaker 2: Do not miss out on simply Safe's biggest sale of
• 1:54
Speaker 2: the year, sixty percent off. Our listeners get sixty percent
• 1:59
Speaker 2: off a simply Safe home security system at simplysafe dot
• 2:02
Speaker 2: com slash bird. That's simply safe dot com slash bird.
• 2:06
Speaker 1: The Eagles also opened up the twenty one day practice
• 2:09
Speaker 1: window for Nolan Smith. It's not a guarantee that that
• 2:13
Speaker 1: makes him available Monday night when the Eagles play the
• 2:15
Speaker 1: Green Bay Packers, but it is something to keep an
• 2:19
Speaker 1: eye on. It at least leaves the door open for
• 2:21
Speaker 1: that to happen. Now, we'll just have to wait and
• 2:24
Speaker 1: see what that all means. But Nolan Smith, you know,
• 2:28
Speaker 1: the fact that he's sort of in the mix or
• 2:30
Speaker 1: at least has an opportunity, gives the Eagles another player
• 2:36
Speaker 1: to add to that group. So you have Noan Smith,
• 2:40
Speaker 1: Jay Looks Haunt, Jalen Phillips, Josh Husha, Brandon Graham, and
• 2:46
Speaker 1: you know they as he's a glais on ir. But
• 2:51
Speaker 1: you also have to look at the fact that they
• 2:55
Speaker 1: released Patrick Johnson from the fifty three man roster. It
• 2:59
Speaker 1: happened before the NFL trade deadline, so after the deadline,
• 3:04
Speaker 1: every player is subjected to waivers, but that announcement came
• 3:07
Speaker 1: out just before four o'clock, and so he is not
• 3:12
Speaker 1: subjected to waivers, which means that he could, in theory
• 3:16
Speaker 1: sign to the practice squad by this is Tuesday afternoon
• 3:22
Speaker 1: or Wednesday afternoon. And they did create a spot on
• 3:27
Speaker 1: the practice squad by releasing wide receiver Terrorist Marshall. So
• 3:31
Speaker 1: we'll see if they have that reunion with Patrick Johnson.
• 3:34
Speaker 1: They're also going to have to make other moves if
• 3:35
Speaker 1: they want to add a Jeccoryan Bennett or eventually add
• 3:41
Speaker 1: Nolan Smith Junior to the fifty three man roster, so
• 3:45
Speaker 1: something to keep an eye on there.
• 3:46
Speaker 2: Hey, Philly fans, game day is stressful enough. Parking, traffic,
• 3:50
Speaker 2: long lines, We've all been there, But when it comes
• 3:53
Speaker 2: to your cannabis, Camden Apothecary makes it easy. This is
• 3:58

Speaker 2: you know you're getting the good stuff without overpaying. They
• 4:31
Speaker 2: even show love to the community with specials for fans, students,
• 4:36
Speaker 2: service members, and healthcare pros. Cam din Apothecary top quality cannabis,
• 4:41
Speaker 2: great prices, and an experience made for Philly fans. Twenty
• 4:44
  Speaker 2: one and up.
• 4:46
Speaker 1: Well, I thought that Howie Roseman and his post trade
• 4:49
Speaker 1: deadline press conference, said some good things. He was very
• 4:53
Speaker 1: adamant about what AJ Brown brings to the forefront, that
• 4:57
Speaker 1: he was never going to be traded, especially when you're
• 5:00
Speaker 1: a team with a window that's open like the Eagles have,
• 5:03
Speaker 1: you don't trade somebody like that. They He mentioned that
• 5:06
Speaker 1: he's a good teammate and all those things that I've
• 5:09
Speaker 1: been reporting, and everyone who covers the team will tell
• 5:12
Speaker 1: you that it was always nonsensical whenever you saw those rumors.
• 5:17
Speaker 1: But probably the best thing for me is that I
• 5:19
Speaker 1: don't have to answer any more of those questions for
• 5:21
Speaker 1: the time being. So Howie Rosmen kind of, you know,
• 5:25
Speaker 1: punctuated all those conversations with a really strong endorsement of
• 5:29
Speaker 1: AJ Brown and going to Jayleen Phillips. He talked about
• 5:35
Speaker 1: Jayalen Phillips kind of you know, he has the injury
• 5:38
Speaker 1: history right. He tore his achilles in twenty twenty three,
• 5:41
Speaker 1: which Howie Roseman noted that that happened at MetLife Stadium.
• 5:44
Speaker 1: He tore his acl in twenty twenty four. Howie Roseman
• 5:48
Speaker 1: noted that that was due to running into a teammate,
• 5:51
Speaker 1: so it wasn't sort of a non contact injury situation.
• 5:54
Speaker 1: Where you tend to worry, but it just kind of
• 5:57
Speaker 1: peels back to the curtain and shows you how much
• 6:00
Speaker 1: work is put into understanding the injury. Especially when you're
• 6:05
Speaker 1: acquiring a player for a third round pick like that.
• 6:08
Speaker 1: You want to get a sense of how those injuries
• 6:10
Speaker 1: are happening, what's the likelihood that that could surface once again?
• 6:15
Speaker 1: So they're leaving no stone unturned. With Michael Carter, I
• 6:19
Speaker 1: thought that it was notable that not only Howie Roseman
• 6:22
Speaker 1: obviously mentioned the connection to Joe Douglas, but he also
• 6:25
Speaker 1: mentioned his connection to Eagle Safety's coach Joe Casper, who
• 6:29
Speaker 1: was a grad assistant at Duke when Michael Carter played there.
• 6:35
Speaker 2: Hey, I still like a good night out, but I'm
• 6:37
Speaker 2: not always in the mood to drink, and that's why
• 6:40
Speaker 2: I looked for a great alternative and I found one.

• 8:02
  Speaker 2: thirty percent off.
• 8:04
Speaker 1: So there's familiarity. And I'm kind of viewing Michael Carter
• 8:08
Speaker 1: like Avonte Maddox. That was very clear to me when
• 8:10
Speaker 1: when he was added that that that was kind of
• 8:13
Speaker 1: how they viewed him. And he can play nickel and safety,
• 8:17
Speaker 1: especially when Marcus Epps, the fourth safety, goes on ir
• 8:22
Speaker 1: Having someone like Michael Carter to be able to step
• 8:26
Speaker 1: in there and play that in a pinch while you're
• 8:28
Speaker 1: still heavy at corner gives the Eagles some optionality. And
• 8:32
Speaker 1: then Jay r Alexander, We're gonna have to wait and
• 8:34
Speaker 1: see because he didn't necessarily perform well with the Ravens.
• 8:39
Speaker 1: He was in active, healthy scratch for five games. There's
• 8:43
Speaker 1: the familiarity with Christian Parker, but we'll have to see
• 8:47
Speaker 1: what he has left because it's impossible to answer that
• 8:49
Speaker 1: question without seeing him on the practice field, without talking
• 8:52
Speaker 1: to Vic Vangio, without hearing from Nick Sirianni Howie Roseman.
• 8:57
Speaker 1: He said, he admitted that you know it is risk,
• 9:00
  Speaker 1: but it's a calculated one and that's a player who
• 9:03
Speaker 1: when the Ravens were able to claim him off waivers
• 9:06
Speaker 1: back in June, he said, that's a good pickup and
• 9:09
Speaker 1: the Eagles were able to capitalize on a player like
• 9:14
Speaker 1: this who has some upside, But it's there's room for
• 9:18
Speaker 1: skepticism based off of injury history, the inability to get
• 9:22
Speaker 1: on the field and help a team that had a
• 9:24
Speaker 1: very porous defense. So I think out of all the
• 9:27
Speaker 1: three editions, he's the one I'm most curious to heat,
• 9:30
Speaker 1: to see and learn about. But you have to give
• 9:34
Speaker 1: Howie Roseman credit for leaving no stone unturned to bolster
• 9:37
Speaker 1: the roster. And we'll see how all the pieces ultimately fit.
• 9:41
Speaker 1: And that'll do it for this addition for to check
• 9:43
Speaker 1: O Daily, I'm Andrew de Checko. I'll have another podcast
• 9:46
Speaker 1: for you all tomorrow after the Eagles have their first
• 9:49
Speaker 1: practice and media availability. Have a good one on
