- 0:20Speaker 1: Snuggle down, close your eyes and make yourself comfortable. Take
- 0:28a deep breath in through your nose and slowly and
- 0:32gently breathe out through your mouth. Again, take a deep
- 0:41breath in through your nose and slowly and gently breathe
- 0:48out through your mouth. One last time, deep breath in
- 0:55through your nose and slowly and breathe out through your mouth.
- 1:06Just bring your breathing back to its normal rhythm. Feeling
- 1:10your chest rise and fall gently, and you're feeling all
- 1:15warm and safe, and you feel so peaceful now, so relaxed,
- 1:22and you feel very happy and very light, and your
- 1:27breathing is almost still. You're so relaxed, and with each
- 1:33breath you take, you feel calmer and more peaceful. And
- 1:38that's because you're breathing in pure peacefulness, and you're breathing
- 1:44out all of the negative thoughts that you've been cannying
- 1:48around with you, that you don't need any more. So
- 1:54take another deep breath in, breathing in pure peacefulness, and
- 2:01then breathe out, breathing out all the negative thoughts, all
- 2:06the things you don't need anymore. One more time. Breathe in,
- 2:13breathing in pure peacefulness, and breathe out, breathe out all
- 2:22the stuff you no longer need, and now you're feeling
- 2:29very calm, very peaceful, and very relaxed. Now imagine yourself
- 2:38completely surrounded by a beautiful golden light, and this golden
- 2:45light surrounds your whole body. It's above your head, it's
- 2:51beneath your feet, it's everywhere, and this golden light makes
- 2:58you feel all warm, very safe. And again you feel
- 3:04so peaceful, so calm, and so relaxed. But always remember
- 3:12you are safe, you are loved, and you are protected always.
- 3:21Now imagine yourself sitting in a large, beautiful garden with
- 3:27an old brick wall completely surrounding it, and the bottom
- 3:33of the woods are all filled with the most amazing flowers,
- 3:38flowers of every description and every color you can think of,
- 3:43and the scent from these flowers is just amazing and
- 3:47it makes you feel so alive and so very happy.
- 3:52There is also a beautiful lawn all around you, and
- 3:56you can see the early morning dew glistening on the grass.
- 4:03You look down and you see that you are standing
- 4:05on a gravel path, and as you walk along it,
- 4:10it crunches under your feet. Can you hear the sound
- 4:14of it crunching. I can. You feel a gentle breeze
- 4:21on your face as you walk along the path, and
- 4:24you feel the warmth of the sun all over your body,
- 4:29and it makes you feel so peaceful, so wonderful in fact.
- 4:37So you walk on the path to the very back
- 4:40of the garden and come to yet another old brick wall,
- 4:44Only this one is covered in beautiful roses, roses in
- 4:49all the colors of a rainbow, and they too glisten
- 4:55with the dew in the morning sunshine, and they twinkle
- 5:00just like the stars do at nighttime. Now in the
- 5:04middle of this wall is an archway, a very old archway,
- 5:12and you wonder where it leads. So you take a
- 5:16little peek through the arch. You can't really see anything.
- 5:20It just looks well, kind of misty, really, kind of
- 5:24like soft clouds are floating past. You feel really quite
- 5:29excited and you really want to know what's on the
- 5:32other side of the archway. So you become very brave
- 5:37and decide to go through it. Step through the arch
- 5:43into the mist, and it feels quite cool on your skin,
- 5:47but you keep going. After all, it only clouds. The
- 5:52cloud slowly begins to part and what you see next
- 5:57utterly amazes you. You've come out the other side of
- 6:01the archway into another world. How fantastic is that? You
- 6:08see stretched out before you a wonderful meadow, and at
- 6:13the end of that meadow there is a beautiful, green
- 6:16and lush forest stretching for miles and miles. You can
- 6:22even see the mountaintops in the distance, and they are
- 6:27so high that they have snow on the top of them,
- 6:31and they look as if someone has just sprinkled them
- 6:34with angel dust. Beautiful white, feathery angel dust. How pretty
- 6:41is that? And off in the distance you can hear
- 6:46the sound of tumbling water and you wonder where it's
- 6:50coming from. Maybe it's a waterfall, sure sounds like one.
- 6:57As you look around you you see something moving in
- 7:00the distance, and you see it's coming towards you, and
- 7:04it looks well, kind of hairy. Well, actually, it looks
- 7:08like a very wooly coat. Really, what on earth could
- 7:13it be? As it gets closer to you, you realize
- 7:19that it kind of looks like a very hairy elephant.
- 7:23But as it gets even closer, you realize that it's
- 7:27not an elephant at all. It's a very big wooly mammoth,
- 7:34a very big wooly mammoth with a big silly grin
- 7:37on his face and a very big blue floppy hat
- 7:40on his head. How funny mammoth stops in front of
- 7:46you and says, hello, Well, you are just flabbergastic. Now,
- 7:52not only is it a big wooly mammoth with a
- 7:55very big blue flopping hat on its head, it can
- 7:59talk to Oh mysh. The big wooly mammoth tells you
- 8:06his name is Frank, and he asks you what your
- 8:11name is, so you tell him. He asks you if
- 8:15he can sit down next to you on the grass.
- 8:17Then you think, well, okay, why not. So the two
- 8:21of you sit on the grass, and the ground shakes
- 8:26a bit when he sits down because he is so
- 8:29very big and so very very heavy, and you're really
- 8:33hoping that he doesn't squash you when he sits But
- 8:37he is very careful and he doesn't squash you at all.
- 8:42Fact is very gentle. Frank tells you he is very
- 8:48glad to meet you, and he begins to tell you
- 8:50all about himself. He tells you that he lives with
- 8:54the rest of his head and they had just at
- 8:57the end of the meadow. Behind those trees are bah Head.
- 9:01He tells you he has a mum and a dad
- 9:05and they are called Mabel and Benny. He tells you
- 9:09he has three brothers and three sisters and they are
- 9:13all older than he is. He is the baby of
- 9:16the family and really they all spoil him, which he loves.
- 9:23He tells you that he goes to Mammoth School with
- 9:26his friends and they love it there. They get to
- 9:29learn all sorts of things. Everything they wanted to know
- 9:33they can learn there. They love it so much they
- 9:38even get to go on days out to see what
- 9:40other animals live in their world. Frank really likes school,
- 9:46he also tells you, and he loves to play football
- 9:49with his friends too. In fact, it's his favorite thing
- 9:52of all time, playing football. Frank asks you if with
- 10:00like a ride on his back, you're very happy about this,
- 10:04and you say, oh, yes please. He picks you up
- 10:10with his very long trunk and gently places you on
- 10:13his back behind the big blue floppy hat. He tells
- 10:18you to hold on tight and then begins to stand up. Ooh,
- 10:22it's a bit wobbly, but it's okay because you're holding
- 10:26on tightly. Frank completely stands up and you realize you
- 10:32are very high up now, and he starts to walk
- 10:36with his big, lumbering legs. And it really is quite
- 10:40wobbly up on his back, and you're bouncing around a lot,
- 10:43but it's so much fun. You start laughing, so does Frank.
- 10:48Because you are so high up on Frank's back, you
- 10:52can feel a gentle breeze on your face. You can
- 10:56feel it rippling through your clothes, just gently making them
- 11:00flap a bit. Can you feel it? Can you feel
- 11:05the cool breeze? And no, I can. So you go
- 11:11for a walk with your new friend Frank. What can
- 11:16you see up from the top of his back? Can
- 11:20you see the hills and the mountains in the distance.
- 11:24Can you see all the beautiful trees and the many
- 11:26different colors, so many greens. There's even a few reds
- 11:31in there too. So for a few moments, spend some
- 11:36time going for a walk with Frank, have a good
- 11:40look around and just see what else may be there.
- 11:45See if there's any other animals there, maybe animals that
- 11:48you've never heard of before, were never seen before. Maybe
- 11:53Frank will take you to meet his family and his friends.
- 11:57Maybe he will show you his school. Maybe you can
- 12:02even play a game of football with Frank and his friends,
- 12:06And wouldn't that be fun? So for a few moments,
- 12:10just go and have some fun with Frank, Go and
- 12:13meet his friends and his family, go and see his
- 12:17schoolmas from the pas. Wow. Now that was fun, wasn't it.
- 15:13But now it's time for you to return to your
- 15:16very own home and your very own bed. So Frank
- 15:22places you gently back down on the ground, and you
- 15:26say your goodbyes, and you tell him that you would
- 15:29love to come back again. Frank says that would be
- 15:33very nice, indeed, and that maybe next time you can
- 15:36have a sleepover with him and his friends. And you
- 15:39are thrilled with this idea and said you definitely will.
- 15:43You would love to do that. You wave goodbye to
- 15:49Frank and begin to walk home, when suddenly you realize, Wow,
- 15:57you're already back in your very own bead. Wow, what
- 16:04a lovely time you had with Frank, very gentle, kind
- 16:10and loving, great big, wooly hairy mammoth. Can you smile
- 16:16to yourself just remembering the day you've had, meeting his
- 16:21friends and his family, seeing his school, just having a
- 16:26wonderful time. Just being with Frank is so kind and
- 16:31so nice. But your eyes are feeling very sleepy now,
- 16:37very heavy, indeed, and you begin to drift into a deep,
- 16:45most wonderful night's sleep. So turn over on your side
- 16:52and snuggle down in your very own bed, feeling so safe,
- 16:58so protected, and so very loved. And when you wake
- 17:04up in the morning, you will feel completely refreshed, very
- 17:09bright and late and ready to begin the new day ahead.
- 17:16And each night from now on you will sleep better
- 17:21and better, deeper and deeper. But for now, just rest
- 17:29your weary head and just sleep nigh night. Now. One day,
- 17:41in the middle of a lush green forest, there was
- 17:43a very large river, and in that river lived a
- 17:48lot of crocodiles, big ones, small ones, even baby ones too.
- 17:56Now these were nice, friendly crocodiles. They didn't eat meat
- 18:00people for that matter. They were vegetarian crocodiles, which means
- 18:05that they only eat fresh fruit and vegetables, and of
- 18:09course drink lots of milk to keep their teeth nice
- 18:11and healthy. The crocodiles like to swim in the big
- 18:16river every day. They like to float around on their back,
- 18:21sometimes too, swishing their great big tails. Around and splashing
- 18:25each other. They had lots and lots of fun doing this.
- 18:29In fact, it was their most favorite thing to do.
- 18:32Well that I'm snoozing on the river bank in the
- 18:35hot sunshine eyes. Now on this day, one of the
- 18:41young crocodiles, whose name was George, wasn't feeling too good.
- 18:46In fact, he was feeling very grouchy. Indeed, he wouldn't
- 18:51play with the other young crocodiles who were his friends.
- 18:54He wouldn't swim and splash in the water. He didn't
- 18:58even want to lay on the river bank with him
- 19:00of them either. He just wanted to be by himself.
- 19:04He just lay on the riverbank feeling very sad. Indeed,
- 19:09he grumbled and moaned when any one of them came
- 19:11near him. The other crocodiles didn't know what was wrong
- 19:15with him. They wanted to help him, but he just
- 19:17growled at them, so they went back into the big river.
- 19:21This really wasn't like George at all, they said to
- 19:24each other. George was usually the happiest one of them all,
- 19:29and they were a bit worried about him, but were
- 19:31a little scared to get any closer to him, or
- 19:34to make him any more cross, George just lay there
- 19:39all alone, feeling lost and lonely. He wanted to play
- 19:44with his friends, but he just couldn't. As George lay
- 19:49on the river bank under the shade of a great
- 19:51big tree, feeling very sorry for himself, he heard a
- 19:55bird singing in the tree above him. He tweeted, and
- 19:58he twittered quite like too. It whistled and hopped from
- 20:03branch to branch. Now George was starting to get annoyed
- 20:07with the little bird in his antics, so he shouted
- 20:10at it to keep quiet. The little bird was startled.
- 20:15He didn't even notice that George was there. Sorry, the
- 20:19little bird said, I didn't mean to upset you. George
- 20:23again told the little bird to keep quiet. The little
- 20:27bird thought that something was wrong with George, and the
- 20:30little bird thought that George sounded very sad, so he
- 20:35flew down to the ground and landed right beside George.
- 20:38Go Away, said George, leave me alone. Are you okay?
- 20:43The little bird asked, no, I'm not, replied George. I
- 20:47have a very bad pain in my mouth and I
- 20:49don't know what it is. It hurts so much. Go away,
- 20:55said the little bird. Have you cleaned your teeth today? No,
- 21:00said George. It's too painful for me. Well, will you
- 21:05open your mouth and let me take a look, The
- 21:07little bird replied, maybe I can help you. You can't
- 21:12help me, little bird, you're too small, well, said the
- 21:16little bird. Maybe because I am so small, I can't
- 21:20help you. All you have to do is open your
- 21:22mouth for me so I can take a look. I
- 21:25promise I won't hurt you. George glared at him, but
- 21:32George slowly opened his very large mouth and let the
- 21:37little bird take a look inside. The little bird looked
- 21:41at George's very large, point to teeth and remembered it
- 21:44was okay because George was a vegetarian and he didn't
- 21:47eat little birds, so he knew he was safe. What
- 21:51the little bird saw in George's mouth was a peach
- 21:55stone stuck between two of his teeth. No wonder it
- 22:00was hurting him. It was stuck fast and pressing on
- 22:03the teeth either side of it, which thought the little
- 22:06bird must becausing George an awful lot of pain. The
- 22:11little bird told George what he had seen, and George's
- 22:15eyes filled with tears, and he said, it's stuck there
- 22:19forever now, because I can't get it out. If you
- 22:23trust me to help you, I will get it out
- 22:26for you, said the little bird. I can peck at
- 22:30it very gently and break it up so it falls
- 22:33out by itself. George sighed. He was very scared and
- 22:37he was in a lot of pain, but he knew
- 22:40that the peach stone had to come out, so he
- 22:44said yes to the little bird. He said he would
- 22:46be very grateful for his help. So the little bird
- 22:51hopped onto George's tongue and began to gently peck at
- 22:54the peach stone to break it up. George moaned, a
- 22:58little bit stayed very brave. It only took a few
- 23:03minutes for the stone to break and fall into George's tongue.
- 23:08The little bird hopped off George's tongue and watched as
- 23:11he spat out the offending peachtone. George was so very happy.
- 23:16He didn't feel any more pain at all. He was
- 23:19so grateful to the little bird for all his help.
- 23:23Thank you, thank you, thank you, he said to the
- 23:26little bird. You are very welcome. The little bird said,
- 23:31and just before he flew off into the tree above,
- 23:33he said to George, you know that if you clean
- 23:37your teeth twice a day, every day, and after your meals,
- 23:42you won't get things stuck in your mouth. And just
- 23:45like that, he flew off and continued to tweet and
- 23:48twitter in the tree above. His whistling really was quite loud,
- 23:53but this time George didn't mind at all, and he
- 23:57ambled off to swim in the river, very happy. Indeed,
- 24:02So you see, it really is a good thing to
- 24:06brush your teeth twice a day and after meals so
- 24:09you don't get things stuck in your teeth. But you,
- 24:13having listened to this little story about George and the
- 24:16little bird, are feeling rather sleepy now, and you are
- 24:21breathing calmly and peacefully. I should begin to drift into
- 24:26a beautiful night's sleep, and you feel so happy, so peaceful,
- 24:33And as your body begins to fall asleep, smile to
- 24:36yourself thinking about vegetarian crocodiles wee beaches. You feel a
- 24:44gentle wave of sleepiness drifting all over your body, and
- 24:50it feels warm and tingly and ever so soft, making
- 24:55your body feel very very heavy, very very tired, and
- 25:03very very sleepy. You feel very peaceful now and so relaxed,
- 25:12so relaxed, and so very very sleepy. You just want
- 25:18to sleep, just want to drift off to a beautiful sleep.
- 25:25So do that now, and remember you are safe, you
- 25:32are loved, and you are protected always. Night night. Now,
- 25:42I'm going to tell you a little story, and it
- 25:47begins a lion was asleep under a tree in a
- 25:52beautiful jungle and he wakes up to find something moving
- 25:56around him, and he gives a big roar and he says,
- 25:59what's this? He holds up a little mouse in his
- 26:04big paw, and the lion says to the little mouse,
- 26:09because she woke me up, I will make a nice
- 26:12little smack out of you. The little mouse trembles because
- 26:17he really doesn't want to be eaten. The little mouse
- 26:21says to the mighty lion, oh, please, please don't eat me.
- 26:26Someday I may be able to help you. If you
- 26:28eat me, then I won't be able to help you
- 26:30if you need it. The mighty lion laughed at the
- 26:34little mouse. How could a little mouse ever help a great,
- 26:39big lion like me? The little mouse said, I don't know,
- 26:44but please please don't eat me. The mighty lion looked
- 26:50at the little mouse and thought for a moment, okay,
- 26:54little mouse, because you made me laugh. I won't eat you.
- 26:58I will let you go. Oh, thank you, thank you,
- 27:02thank you, said the little mouse. I won't forget what
- 27:06you've done for me, and someday I will help you,
- 27:09I promise. The little mouse scampered off. The mighty lion
- 27:16laughed again and said that little mouse could never help
- 27:19anyone here is far too small. A week later, the
- 27:26mighty lion found himself trapped under the same tree. He
- 27:31was tied up so badly that he could not break free.
- 27:35I can't get away, he said to himself. I'm trapped
- 27:38and I don't know how to free myself. Just then
- 27:44he heard a sound. He heard the words, sh do
- 27:49you remember me? Who said that? The lion roared. It's me.
- 27:54The little mouse came the reply, you didn't eat me,
- 27:58and I said that I would help you in return
- 28:00if you ever needed it. Yes, I remember you, the
- 28:04lion replied. But there is no way anyone can help
- 28:08me now I am trapped. Sh please stay still, said
- 28:15the little mouse. I can't help you. I can get
- 28:19you out of the trap before the hunters come back.
- 28:21You must stay quiet. How can you help me, said
- 28:24the lion. Please be quiet, said the little mouse. I
- 28:28can chew the ropes around you and I will set
- 28:30you free, but please, you must stay quiet. The little
- 28:35mouse chews through the ropes until they break free and
- 28:39fall away from the mighty lion. You are free now,
- 28:43said the little mouse. The mighty lion looked down at
- 28:48the little mouse and said, you were right. You did
- 28:51help me. You set me free, and I am very
- 28:55grateful to you for that. The mighty lion looked at
- 29:00the little mouse one more time and said, even a
- 29:04little mouse can be a good friend to a mighty
- 29:06lion like me. And I am so happy that I
- 29:10didn't eat you, so am I said the little mouse.
- 29:16A mighty lion ran off into the jungle, and he
- 29:21ran so that the hunters couldn't find him anywhere, and
- 29:25the little mouse scurried off into the undergrowth. Maybe one
- 29:30day they may meet again. So you see, it really
- 29:35is a good thing to help others, whether they are
- 29:39big lions or your friends, because one day you may
- 29:44need their help too. But really it's a good thing
- 29:49to help others just because you can. But now it's
- 29:55time for you to get some sleep, and your eyes
- 29:58are beginning to feel heavy, and your eyelids are beginning
- 30:02to droop, but your body feels so peaceful, so relaxed,
- 30:09so calm, and so very very heavy. You feel very
- 30:15sleepy now too, and you can feel a gentle wave
- 30:20of sleepiness starting at your feet. You can feel your
- 30:26toes going to sleep, and it feels all warm and
- 30:30tingling and ever so soft. And you feel a soothing,
- 30:36gentle wave of sleepiness coming up your calves and your shins.
- 30:42You can feel it going up your thighs, and you
- 30:45think your legs have already gone to sleep. You feel
- 30:49very tired now, so sleepy, but so happy, and your
- 30:54eyes well, they just don't want to open up at all.
- 31:00The beautiful wave of sleepiness travels all the way up
- 31:04your body and down your arms and into your hands,
- 31:09making your body feel very very heavy, very very tired,
- 31:16and very very sleepy. And this gentle, warm wave of
- 31:23sleepiness travels up your face and over the top of
- 31:27your head, down the back of your neck, and you
- 31:31feel so tired now, so sleepy, and you feel all
- 31:38nice and warm and snuggly under your beautiful soft quilt
- 31:44and very fluffy, squidgy pillows. So just have a little
- 31:49sleep now, Just rest nine night, sleep tight. Today, I'm
- 32:05going to tell you a story, and this is a
- 32:08story about a young puppy called Berate. Now Bert is
- 32:14only seven months old, but he's an Irish wolfhound, and
- 32:20because he's an Irish wolfhound, he is very very big,
- 32:26so big. In fact, he is the size of a
- 32:28fully grown, large, very large German shepherd, probably even bigger. Now.
- 32:37Bait lived with his mum, Sheila, and his dad Friend,
- 32:41and they lived in a little cottage with a very
- 32:44large garden, so large it had its own meadow, its
- 32:48own forest, and it even had its own swimming pool. Yes, really,
- 32:54its own swimming pool. Well, actually it was a large part,
- 33:00but they liked it. Now. This day, Baked came rushing
- 33:06out of his back door with his tail wagging furiously,
- 33:09kicking up the date as he ran. Bert was very
- 33:12happy this day as he was going out all by
- 33:15himself to explore, and it was the first time his
- 33:19parents had let him out by himself, and he was
- 33:22so excited he was grinning from ear to ear. His
- 33:26mother called after him, saying, now, don't you go too far, Bays,
- 33:30we don't want you getting lost. Bert shouted back that
- 33:34he wouldn't get lost. As he was seven months old
- 33:36now and he knew what he was doing. Bert carried
- 33:40on running down the dusty path and on into the meadow.
- 33:44The meadow was his favorite place. He'd only ever been
- 33:49there with his parents before, so he was just giddy
- 33:51with pleasure to be out all by himself, all on
- 33:54his own. Bert ran into the most wonderful, colorful meadow
- 34:00where the birds were happily singing, and they could hear
- 34:02the bees buzzing lazily around the flowers. But he kept
- 34:06away from them now because one day he decided to
- 34:10play and chase the bees. Well, the bees didn't like that,
- 34:15and one of them stuming, and that was the day
- 34:19Bert went to the vets for the very first time.
- 34:24Some of the flowers in the meadow had shed some
- 34:27of their petals, and Bert thought that the dusty path
- 34:30now looked like a brightly colored carpet of flowers. The
- 34:34calls were bright and vibrant, and it filled him with
- 34:37a sense of joy and happiness. He could also see
- 34:42the most wonderful red butterflies landing on the flowers looking
- 34:46for their lunch, and as Bert ran further into the meadow,
- 34:51he could see the old water fountain, for one made
- 34:53of marble, and he could see the water cascading down
- 34:57it like a beautiful waterfall. He decided to have a drink,
- 35:02after all this running merrily was thirsty work. Indeed, after
- 35:08drinking the cool, clear water from the marble fountain, Bert
- 35:13carried on walking, this time instead of running. He'd calmed
- 35:18down now and he began to sniff everything inside and
- 35:22sniff he did. He sniffed the flowers, he sniffed the
- 35:26long grass. He even sniffed the butterflies. And one of
- 35:31the butterflies landed on his nose and gently moved the twigs.
- 35:36Bert tried to look at it, but it made his
- 35:39eyes go crossed, and he was very relieved when it
- 35:42flew off again. Bert carried on going his way, just
- 35:49walking along the dusty path quite happily, when he noticed
- 35:54something moving up ahead of him. He didn't know what
- 35:58it was, so he went to invest it, and as
- 36:01he got closer he realized that it was a rabbit,
- 36:06a very beautiful silver gray rabbit. So Bt decided he
- 36:11would go and play with the rabbit. But the rabbit
- 36:14got very scared because he could see a dog rushing
- 36:18towards him. Well, he would get scared seeing a very large,
- 36:22lumbering giant and the dog rushing towards you with its
- 36:24ears flapping, showing its teeth with a big grin, I'd
- 36:28get a bit panicky. The little rabbit panicked and began
- 36:33to run as fast as he could to get away.
- 36:36Bat thought that this was again, so he decided to
- 36:39run faster too. The rabbit, now alarmed, ran even faster
- 36:45until it came to a hole in the ground and
- 36:47then dived deeply down into it. This was a rabbit hole,
- 36:51and it led through to underground tunnels, but it wasn't
- 36:55the little rabbit's hole, so it got a bit lost, stopped,
- 37:00and it stayed in the tunnel, thinking that the big
- 37:04hairy dog wouldn't find it. But the big hairy dog
- 37:08did find it. Bait, now, being overully excited, still thinking
- 37:15that this was a game they were playing, dived into
- 37:18the hole two but oh no, he caught himself stuck.
- 37:23He tried to go deeper into the hole, but that
- 37:25made it worse. He tried to pull himself out, but
- 37:29that was even worse again, and he was going deeper
- 37:33and he was stuck fast. Now The little rabbit, who
- 37:40was also in the home, was very scared, indeed, because
- 37:44all he could see was Burt's big, hairy face and
- 37:46sharp teeth. The little rabbit thought the bait wanted to
- 37:52eat it, and he didn't know what to do, so
- 37:56the little rabbit started to dig with his little trying
- 38:01to find another way out. It dug, and it dug
- 38:05faster and faster, until eventually it broke through the surface
- 38:11and was free. The little rabbit stood for a moment,
- 38:15wondered what to do, and then took a peek to
- 38:19see if the dog was still there. But what the
- 38:22little rabbit saw was an enormous hairy bottom with two
- 38:28hairy legs and a hairy tail that had stopped wagging.
- 38:33Now a little rabbit then heard a whimper. It saw
- 38:40the big hairy dog trying to get out of the hole,
- 38:43but it couldn't, and the big hairy dog began to cry,
- 38:48and it sounded very scared. The little rabbit was about
- 38:53to run away home, but the sound of the hairy
- 38:55dog crying made it stop. The hairy bottom and the
- 39:02hairy back legs then lay down with its tail no
- 39:06longer wagging. The little silver gray rabbit stopped and spoke
- 39:13to the hairy dog. Are you okay? She asked, because
- 39:20the little rabbit was a girl rabbit. The big hairy
- 39:24dog gave another scared whimper, so she asked again, are
- 39:30you okay, big hairy dog? Bert stopped whimpering and said, no,
- 39:36I'm stuck and i can't get out of this hole,
- 39:39and I'm very scared. I want my mum to come
- 39:43and help me. Bert said to the little rabbit, well,
- 39:47she doesn't know where I am. Please will you help me?
- 39:52The little rabbit thought for a moment and then said,
- 39:56but if I help you to get out of the hole,
- 39:59you will eat me? What said Bert? Of course I
- 40:03won't eat you. Why would I want to eat you.
- 40:07I only wanted to play with you. Bert gave a
- 40:11muffled sigh and said, we lived so far away from everything,
- 40:15so I don't have any friends. I thought that we
- 40:18could be friends. I'm sorry if I scared you. I
- 40:21didn't mean to. Bert gave a little whimper again, and
- 40:27he sounded ever so sad. The little rabbit thought for
- 40:32a moment, and even though she was still scared of
- 40:36the big hairy dog, she knew in her heart that
- 40:39he wouldn't hurt her, so she said, okay, I will
- 40:45help you get out of the hole. Oh, thank you
- 40:48so much, said Bert. The little rabbit went to where
- 40:52Bert was really stuck, which was so close to his
- 40:56head and his big scary teeth. But she began to
- 40:59dig anyway. She dug, and she dug faster and faster,
- 41:06harder and harder, until finally she had made enough room
- 41:10for Bert to wriggle out of the home. Bait exploded
- 41:16out of the hole and was so happy to be free.
- 41:20He had been very scared, and he was covered in
- 41:24dirt and grass was all over his face and in
- 41:28his ears. It was even up his nose. So he
- 41:32gave himself a great big shake, and he shook off
- 41:36most of the days. But he knew his mum would
- 41:39make him take a bath when he got home. She
- 41:41would definitely not let him walk on the carpet she
- 41:44was cleaning when he left earlier, and she would definitely
- 41:47not let him eat his dinner until he was all
- 41:50sparkly clean again. They had turned to look at the
- 41:55little rabbits, and what he saw made him give a
- 41:59great bag lopsided grin the little silver gray rabbit was
- 42:05the most beautiful creature he had ever seen, and she
- 42:09had the kindest smile and the most amazing blue eyes.
- 42:14She'd never seen a rabbit with blue eyes before. Thank
- 42:18you so much for helping me, he said. My name
- 42:22is Bert and I am seven months old. What's your name?
- 42:26My name is Lucy and I am seven months old too,
- 42:30she replied. Lucy looked at the giant, hairy door and
- 42:36saw nothing but kindness in his big brown eyes, and
- 42:40she realized that she wasn't afraid of him anymore. Just then,
- 42:46Burt gaard his name being called in the distance, and
- 42:49he knew that it was his mum. I have to
- 42:52go now. My mum is calling for me, and oh boy,
- 42:56is she going to be mad that I am so dirty.
- 43:00Bert looked at Lucy and said, can we be friends?
- 43:05I would really like to play with you next time
- 43:07and not scare you. Of course we can, said Lucy.
- 43:12I would love to be your friend and go on
- 43:14adventures with you. Bert had, well, how about to morrow? Then?
- 43:20Say just after lunch. Great, I will be here, said Lucy,
- 43:26and with that she waved good bye and she hopped
- 43:29off home. Bert was so happy he had made a
- 43:34new friend, and even now she was scared of him.
- 43:38At first, Lucy trusted him enough to help him. Bert
- 43:44thought she was a very very kind little rabbit. Then
- 43:50Bert turned and dashed off home to his mum and
- 43:53to his dad, feeling so very happy, and to tell
- 43:57them all about his new friend. She couldn't wait for
- 44:01tomorrow to see Lucy again and to go off on
- 44:03an adventure with her. What fun they were going to
- 44:06have together. But now, having listened to this lovely story,
- 44:13you are feeling very sleepy, and you are breathing calmly
- 44:18and peacefully that you begin to drift in a beautiful
- 44:22night's sleep, and you feel so happy and so peaceful,
- 44:28and your body begins to fall asleep, and then so
- 44:32does your mind. And you feel a gentle wave of
- 44:36sleepiness starting at your feet, and you can feel your
- 44:40toes going to sleep, and it feels all warm and
- 44:44tingly and ever so soft, And you feel the soothing,
- 44:49gentle wave of sleepiness coming up your calves and your shins,
- 44:55through your knees, and all the way up your thighs.
- 45:00Realize your legs have already gone to sleep. You feel
- 45:04so tired now, so sleepy, so very happy. You just
- 45:11want to rest your eyes, rest your body, and this
- 45:16beautiful wave of sleepiness travels all the way up with
- 45:20your body and all the way down your arms and
- 45:23into your hands, making your body feel very very heavy,
- 45:31very very tired, very very sleepy. This gentle, warm wave
- 45:39of sleepiness travels up your face and over the top
- 45:43of your head, down the back of your neck, and
- 45:48you feel so tired. Now, oh give me all. You
- 45:53feel so sleepy, you feel very peaceful, so very relaxed.
- 46:03M hm, so very very sleep just went to sleep.
- 46:10Always remember you are safe, you are loved, and you
- 46:18are protected. Always night night things as it's it's as
