- 1 00:00:00,000 --> 00:00:02,600 It's still real to be damaged! 2 00:00:02,600 --> 00:00:12,800 What up, you! 3 00:00:12,800 --> 00:00:16,800 Ooh, welcome everybody! 4 00:00:16,800 --> 00:00:20,000 Welcome to this week's "A Dissing the So Relo-Show" 5 00:00:20,000 --> 00:00:24,000 episode of our 842 for April 2nd, 2026. 6 00:00:24,000 --> 00:00:29,000 Welcome to this week's edition of SRTU. 7 00:00:29,000 --> 00:00:36,000 I am one after show. I am Jeff Heck, joined every single week for my co-host, the one only Dr. Dre Franklin. 8 00:00:36,000 --> 00:00:43,000 Dr. Dre, we now have six new WrestleMania matches, my friend. 9 00:00:43,000 --> 00:00:50,000 Yeah, and not a single one of them involves action, Mike Jackson, the 72-year-old TNA standout. 10 00:00:50,000 --> 00:00:53,000 So I'm... I don't know if that's good. 11 00:00:53,000 --> 00:01:03,000 For some reason I kind of want to see Mike Jackson be at WrestleMania one year, but six matches with what, three weeks to go? 12 00:01:03,000 --> 00:01:08,000 Talk about shotgunning some angles here, trying to speed things up at the last minute. 13 00:01:08,000 --> 00:01:13,000 Yeah, at least our road now has maps. 14 00:01:13,000 --> 00:01:19,000 It's just the speed limit is completely gone. We're just going to go fall throttle all the way to WrestleMania. 15 00:01:19,000 --> 00:01:24,000 Yeah, this was wild. I mean, if you've been tuning into the show each and every week, you hear us talk about, 16 00:01:24,000 --> 00:01:28,000 especially on last week's podcast, it was like, "I expect this match to be announced." 17 00:01:28,000 --> 00:01:31,000 You know, it's pretty close. I expect this match to be announced. 18 00:01:31,000 --> 00:01:33,000 I didn't think we'd be sitting here going. There's going to be six matches. 19 00:01:33,000 --> 00:01:36,000 And we'll go through the list here momentarily. 20 00:01:36,000 --> 00:01:40,000 At least four of them are not a surprise. 21 00:01:40,000 --> 00:01:45,000 Two completely out of left field, which is not great because it's WrestleMania. 22 00:01:45,000 --> 00:01:51,000 And WWE has at this standard base lately where the build to WrestleMania has been really, really good, 23 00:01:51,000 --> 00:02:01,000 which I know there was a lot of online fodder about that and the build towards WrestleMania 40, specifically about how well things were in 2022 into 2023. 24 00:02:01,000 --> 00:02:11,000 To Dr. Trace Point, so we have three episodes of Smackdown left, which includes the night before WrestleMania weekend. 25 00:02:11,000 --> 00:02:19,000 Two RAWs left. For us, next week, regular show, you know, get you ready. Everything will recap, stand deliver, get you ready for AW Dynasty, 26 00:02:19,000 --> 00:02:21,000 anything that's going on with WrestleMania. 27 00:02:21,000 --> 00:02:26,000 And then two weeks from today, Dr. Trace, is our pre-show for WrestleMania 42. 28 00:02:26,000 --> 00:02:31,000 And then in three weeks, obviously, we will recap everything that happened at WrestleMania 42. 29 00:02:31,000 --> 00:02:40,000 So, I mean, there's not a lot of ground here left for WWE. And clearly, WrestleMania came up from out of nowhere to them because here we are. 30 00:02:40,000 --> 00:02:48,000 Six matches that have been announced this week. And I'll list them all. I'll list what I figured was going to happen. 31 00:02:48,000 --> 00:02:54,000 And then the ones that came out of nowhere. So Trick Williams versus Sammy Zane, expect that to be for the United States Championship, right? 32 00:02:54,000 --> 00:03:00,000 Now we have a new United States Champion, Drew McIntyre versus Jacob Fattu in an own sanction match. 33 00:03:00,000 --> 00:03:07,000 Gunther versus Seth Rollins, Domestary versus Finn Balor, the irresistible forces defending the Women's Tag Team Championship. 34 00:03:07,000 --> 00:03:16,000 Again, Charlotte Flare and Alexa Bliss, the Bellatwins and Bailey and Lyra Valqueria. And then Penta Defensi Intercontinental Championship in a ladder match against Dragon Lee, 35 00:03:16,000 --> 00:03:31,000 Jvonne Evans, Rusev and JD McDonough. So, let's break down the six Dr. Trace. And tell me if, as I go through this, if you agree or disagree with my conclusions on if this was expected or not expected. 36 00:03:31,000 --> 00:03:40,000 Trick Williams, Sammy Zane, United States Championship. While the title we didn't expect, I expected this match to happen at WrestleMania. Agree or disagree? 37 00:03:40,000 --> 00:03:49,000 I was kind of figuring where the Alistra Black angle kind of fit into this because you've seen Alistra interacting with Sammy Zane. But for, I mean, this has kind of been where it's been headed for the last month. 38 00:03:49,000 --> 00:03:52,000 So yeah, you're kind of on point with this one. 39 00:03:52,000 --> 00:03:59,000 Drew McIntyre versus Jacob Fattu on sanction match. I expected this match to be on the card. 40 00:03:59,000 --> 00:04:04,000 I expected the match on the card. I was kind of hoping for Helen to sell, but I'll take an un sanctioned match. 41 00:04:04,000 --> 00:04:09,000 Gunther versus Seth Rons. Did not expect this one. 42 00:04:09,000 --> 00:04:18,000 This feels like one of those matches where they went. It's kind of like when you have the awkward girl on one side of the room and the awkward boy on the other side of the room. 43 00:04:18,000 --> 00:04:28,000 And you're just like, hey, let's make them dance together because nobody else wants to do it. So we'll make them dance together. It kind of feels like, yeah, everybody like your opponent's heart, your opponent's heart. 44 00:04:28,000 --> 00:04:32,000 All right. Now you guys fight. That just kind of feels like how it happened. 45 00:04:32,000 --> 00:04:39,000 So let's take a little bit of a pause here because this, this again came out of nowhere. Did not see this coming. 46 00:04:39,000 --> 00:04:45,000 Was not anywhere near what I figure would be taking place at WrestleMania. 47 00:04:45,000 --> 00:04:52,000 Let me profit this by saying Gunther versus Seth Rons to me is a WrestleMania type tree match. 48 00:04:52,000 --> 00:04:53,000 Yes. 49 00:04:53,000 --> 00:04:56,000 I don't recall them facing one another. Do you? 50 00:04:56,000 --> 00:05:06,000 So I remember when Gunther was the heavyweight champion, there was a brief interaction, but they have not faced each other. 51 00:05:06,000 --> 00:05:12,000 But I remember there was that thing where like Seth was when the vision first formed, Gunther was the world champion. 52 00:05:12,000 --> 00:05:18,000 And Seth had made the comment that at some point he was going to come after the world title and Gunther had made a little. 53 00:05:18,000 --> 00:05:21,000 That was when they were teasing the Gunther baby face turn. 54 00:05:21,000 --> 00:05:28,000 But I believe that's about the only interaction they've had since Gunther got on the main roster. 55 00:05:28,000 --> 00:05:34,000 Yeah, I'm doing a quick little search here if Gunther and Seth Rons have had a match. 56 00:05:34,000 --> 00:05:44,000 I would remember that because I kind of feel like when Gunther chops Seth, he's going to sell it like Sean Michael sold Hulk Hogan offense at Summer's Lame that one year. 57 00:05:44,000 --> 00:05:46,000 Yeah, it appears there's nothing here. I just want to double check. 58 00:05:46,000 --> 00:05:53,000 I was the older we get, we forget. But this is a dream match. This is something that we would want to see. 59 00:05:53,000 --> 00:06:05,000 So the reports that came out, like when I saw the angle with Seth and I saw the angle with Hayman on Raw, there were reports leading up to the show that Braun Breaker was backstage at Madison Square Garden. 60 00:06:05,000 --> 00:06:13,000 There were reports late last week that he was down at the PC to get medically clear. Everything was looking good that this match was going to happen. 61 00:06:13,000 --> 00:06:21,000 And I figured that was going to be the direction. Okay, Braun makes his return. This is how Braun Breaker comes back makes perfect setup when we get Braun Breaker versus Seth Rons which makes a ton of sense. 62 00:06:21,000 --> 00:06:28,000 It said Gunther comes out of nowhere, makes the save for Paul Hayman and chokes out Seth and walks away. 63 00:06:28,000 --> 00:06:38,000 Did not see that coming whatsoever. There has been no interactions with the vision and Gunther Gunther and Paul Hayman. Nothing. No seeds planted whatsoever in this realm. 64 00:06:38,000 --> 00:06:54,000 Actually, all reports were indicating it was going to be Gunther versus Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania and clearly Rey Mysterio is not medically clear to perform at WrestleMania which is a huge bummer. Gunther had that little thing with drag and lead that was going to lead to a match with Rey Mysterio according to all reports. 65 00:06:54,000 --> 00:07:05,000 So this came out and it's exactly what you said, Dr. Trey where it's like, okay, these are two guys, big names. They have nothing going on. They needed to get on the card. Might as well put them together. It's like, okay, well then Braun Breaker probably didn't get cleared. 66 00:07:05,000 --> 00:07:17,000 Then Meltzer reports that Braun Breaker was medically cleared that he is able to wrestle but they want to give more of a build towards that match. 67 00:07:17,000 --> 00:07:28,000 So this is the direction that they went towards and this match direction was the plan for the last several weeks which begs the question like, what the hell? 68 00:07:28,000 --> 00:07:48,000 I don't know how else to say this to you. This is a dream match. This is something we want to see. I expect in two to three weeks when we sit down and we watch the show where that was great. Love it. Gunther versus Seth Rollins give me more but how we got there is a cloud in mystery, my friend. 69 00:07:48,000 --> 00:08:05,000 Yeah, I'm trying to figure out how and this may be one of those things where like maybe WWE is stealing from AW like we see it on AW where like MJF is paying the Don Calis family to take out Darby Allen. 70 00:08:05,000 --> 00:08:18,000 And maybe that's how they play this off that like, hey Paul Heyman because of the injuries to the bronies kind of went outside his little family to bring in somebody to help him take out Seth. 71 00:08:18,000 --> 00:08:25,000 I mean obviously Brock's tied up an open out. You got Austin, thearian Logan Paul tied up with the usos. 72 00:08:25,000 --> 00:08:48,000 The Seth Rollins thing is an issue so maybe the enemy of my enemy is my friend in a sense and that you just went outside the family to bring in Gunther to help take out the Seth Rollins problem. That's not the only logical way I can set it up based on how Gunther has kind of been the career killer the last year. 73 00:08:48,000 --> 00:08:59,000 I don't really know how else you get to it other than there's some kind of financial arrangement or agreements between Paul Heyman and Gunther to handle the Seth Rollins problem. 74 00:08:59,000 --> 00:09:13,000 You know I say this all the time let's you know let's see how this all plays out before we start bitching and complaining but I think on the onset you have absolutely every right as a fan to bitch and complain because I think this is a matchup dream matchup that deserve a little bit more attention 75 00:09:13,000 --> 00:09:26,000 and what we're getting right now other than the angle that they played in Madison Square Garden because you're right there could be something on Monday that explains us a little bit more that Gunther's a hired gun is not with the vision vision osams a favor in air quotes whatever. 76 00:09:26,000 --> 00:09:35,000 And then Bron Breaker eventually comes back and maybe that builds towards something else. I mean for me Bron Breaker versus Seth Rollins needs to be on a big stage. 77 00:09:35,000 --> 00:09:59,000 And I don't think that they hold off on that until like backlash like this is something that needs to be a WrestleMania summer slam type match and not something that is just thrown away at some other you know May June July pay per view that doesn't deserve that much of a platform and it needs a bigger show so. 78 00:09:59,000 --> 00:10:23,000 And then the next three match gun versus that Rollins it's on the card will see how this plays out but I think fans us we have every right now to be like what the hell are they doing because it's funny the comparisons this is very much what AW was doing the last couple years that we would bitch a complain about and now WWE is to or excuse me AW was doing things that WWE did that we. 79 00:10:23,000 --> 00:10:35,000 But it like there's definitely something more to the Darby Allen MJF MJF paying off the Don Calis family stuff keeping Darby Allen at bay that that isn't fully playing out right now. 80 00:10:35,000 --> 00:10:52,000 It could take place a double or nothing or it could take place at all in in London or the payoff is I think there's some good foreshadowing with some AW story lines and I think there's very bad booking and foreshadowing and build for 81 00:10:52,000 --> 00:11:04,000 WWE story lines on the biggest stage of the mall in WrestleMania granted I know that there is injury stuff that's involved here but you got to make it a little bit cleaner than than what we saw this past Monday night. 82 00:11:04,000 --> 00:11:19,000 Domister versus Finn Balor I expected this doctor I think the only caveat I would say is over the last several weeks I'm like I wonder if Penta and the I see title will be involved but Dom and Finn having a match at WrestleMania nothing on the line is something that I did expect for WrestleMania. 83 00:11:19,000 --> 00:11:42,000 Yeah I do wonder if they throw something on it like hey winner gets the right to the judgment day name or something like that just because it like on one hand I'm soup I don't know if you think about this I'm really excited that there's not a title line because it looks to me like you're looking at Dom and Finn like no these guys can carry a match on their own and keep interest without having to put a title or something on it. 84 00:11:42,000 --> 00:11:50,000 So on paper really excited for that match but I do feel like they might throw some kind of weird stipulation in some points. 85 00:11:50,000 --> 00:12:01,000 Yeah I think they should put the triple A mega champ chip on the line I think that could bring some really good eyes to the triple A promotion and he's holding the championship so why not defend it at WrestleMania. 86 00:12:01,000 --> 00:12:20,000 The irresistible forces defending the women's acting championship in a fatal four way against Charlotte Flare and X of Bliss the Bell twins and Bailey and Libervaq area while we have teased putting the Kabuki warriors in this match and became clear of the last several weeks Dr. Trey that this was the direction and this is what the reports were saying this is not a surprise to me. 87 00:12:20,000 --> 00:12:40,000 No this is kind of something we had talked about for the last shoot almost six weeks probably that at some point you're going to get all four of these teams in the mix and and honestly I'm just excited to see Bailey on the show and then I'm excited to see what Alexa and Charlotte do for the WrestleMania interest because I'm two of them are creative people for WrestleMania entrances over the past few years. 88 00:12:40,000 --> 00:12:47,000 Yeah the women's acting division has been very good the last month plus so yeah I really wish they did the same when the men's acting division. 89 00:12:47,000 --> 00:13:01,000 And then lastly ladder match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship Penta defending against Dragon League of On Evans Rusev and JD McDonough this is obviously one we did not expect further more to this when they were explaining this match. 90 00:13:01,000 --> 00:13:13,000 Michael Cole said that there was qualifying matches on WWE he originally said Saturday night to main event which was a snafu but he said main event which nobody watches I don't even know how you could watch main event 91 00:13:13,000 --> 00:13:27,000 any more is it on peacock is it on YouTube and furthermore why haven't they been promoting on raw like there's going to be qualifying matches for the icy title check it out over the last several weeks which again makes no sense so Penta says I wanted to 92 00:13:27,000 --> 00:13:47,000 defend the championship I'm going to do in a ladder match Michael Cole says if there's qualifying matches if you're a long time list of the show long time wrestling fan to me this streams WrestleMania 32 in Dallas where they had that mix mosh Intercontinental championship ladder match where Zach Ryder ended up winning then drop the title the next night to the Miz. 93 00:13:47,000 --> 00:13:59,000 This is who doctor try this is let's get everybody who we enjoy watching give them a WrestleMania moment this probably airs on either ESPN 2 or ESPN for the first free hour. 94 00:13:59,000 --> 00:14:04,000 Whoa Intercontinental title this is not good my friend. 95 00:14:04,000 --> 00:14:33,000 This is this is the most AEW book yeah it's like it's just like out of nowhere like we're have we're going to have qualifying matches oh wait we already had the qualifying matches never miss it though nobody saw you guys miss it I love that pens is like I want to have a ladder match because that's my you know my that's my match and it's like but you haven't had a ladder match in WWE so how do the fans know that's your match is not like you know you're the undertaker in a casket match. 96 00:14:33,000 --> 00:14:57,000 You know I was like okay this really was like okay hey drag it leave thanks for getting choked out by Gunther here's your WrestleMania match Rusef thanks for resigning here's your WrestleMania match Javon we love you here's your WrestleMania match and JD you get beat up by everybody here's your WrestleMania match is it's almost like the Oprah thing like you get a match you get a match you get a match you get a match. 97 00:14:57,000 --> 00:15:10,000 Yeah this is a bizarre one I mean all these guys are extremely talented so I'm happy that they have a chance at the WrestleMania card but again similarly Gunther and Seth wrong just give me a build like I've no problem seeing these matches but just make me want to see these matches. 98 00:15:10,000 --> 00:15:24,000 I am so I am so wanting JD McDonough to win this match though I know about you I just I want it because then he he walks out of WrestleMania as Intercontinental champion and Finn and Dom don't like I just really want JD to get it. 99 00:15:24,000 --> 00:15:32,000 Yeah I like JD a lot I like all these guys a lot I think he's he's great to me this screams like this is our way to put the title on Javon Evans. 100 00:15:32,000 --> 00:15:47,000 Yeah that's what that screams to me and then you can do the Javon coffee stuff with the I see title on the line as well so that and that and people eat that up because watching Javon and coffee interact is like watching coffee fight himself in a mirror from you know 15 20 years ago. 101 00:15:47,000 --> 00:15:54,000 Yeah Javon Evans extremely talented and does feel like he has an opportunity be the Intercontinental champion at some point this year being on the Raw brand. 102 00:15:54,000 --> 00:16:00,000 All right Dr. Trace so the six matches that were announced this week which one are you most excited for. 103 00:16:00,000 --> 00:16:16,000 I guess on paper it's Gunther and Seth because it is it is a dream matchup and it's two guys with such different styles and two guys who are ring work wise be loved by the Internet Wrestling community. 104 00:16:16,000 --> 00:16:23,000 It's just on you know as a shame we're not getting a bigger build but heck they've turned some builds around in two weeks really quickly. 105 00:16:23,000 --> 00:16:36,000 So I really like that much but I'm also I think I'm real the most excited for Dom and Finn just because I guess it earlier like the fact they're doing this match not involving the I see title. 106 00:16:36,000 --> 00:16:50,000 Everybody else now is kind of tied up in other matches so it might be pretty a clean one on one match but just the fact that's a chance for both these guys to elevate their presence without having something else going on around it. 107 00:16:50,000 --> 00:17:01,000 And just doing straight one on one that's that's pretty awesome for what they look at when you're when you're building out your roster and you're like man I think these two guys can carry a match at WrestleMania. 108 00:17:01,000 --> 00:17:06,000 Let's let him go to it so I think overall I'm mostly set up for Finn and dog. 109 00:17:06,000 --> 00:17:21,000 I like how you broke it down there on paper Gunther and Seth Rollins you know seven days straight that's the match that you're picking but based on everything that we've seen on television I like your choice of the moment Finn for me it's it's your match it's a lot to because. 110 00:17:21,000 --> 00:17:45,000 Part of me feels bad for both these guys because they were involved with the WWE championship for the most part during the bill towards WrestleMania and then completely changed and altered to a completely different scenario where they're just facing each other one on one on sanction match I mean they're beating the shit out of one another these are guys that are minimum level talent they should be world champions I think they deserve the spotlight of WrestleMania and I've been very happy with the build. 111 00:17:45,000 --> 00:18:05,000 And again I kind of feel for the guys so I think both of us picking on paper Gunther and Seth Rollins not a surprise what we've actually seen on television Dom and Finn drew and Jacob make a lot of sense because they've had really built and Drew is still denying that he took Jake about right he is you know again you want to talk about stuff that pissed me off. 112 00:18:05,000 --> 00:18:34,000 And an opportunity for a storyline there right kit Wilson if you go back to that video he's there he sees what's going on he's in the background so obviously they had something planned and completely in a different direction and I don't get it maybe at some point it's it's shown that Randy Orton did it I I don't know odd odd odd odd it's it's very funny how over the last several years WWE has had this persona of a really good creative booking AW has been like a train wrecked. 113 00:18:34,000 --> 00:19:03,000 A train wreck out of nowhere how the hell did we get there and they've completely swapped roles and you're seeing in a spotlight right now at the at the biggest time of the year for WWE and for a period of time where I do feel like AW is is chipping back into the die hard wrestling fans minds of just really good storylines great matches good payoffs and that's what we want to see at the end of the day and WWE is doing that with some matches but not so much for a lot of other things so yeah you're talking about the same thing. 114 00:19:03,000 --> 00:19:10,000 Yeah you're talking about storyline piss me off that is one is who took out Jacob a two maybe it's Rikishi he did it for the rock. 115 00:19:10,000 --> 00:19:26,000 All right WrestleMania 42 card round up we obviously covered a lot of the new matches that are made official some news and no tear before we get into the card again Dr. Trey John Cena has been announced to host WrestleMania 42 obviously this is tied to a bump up in ticket sales. 116 00:19:26,000 --> 00:19:33,000 This move did not surprise me whatsoever happy to see the greatest of all time back in the WWE fold and hosting WrestleMania 42. 117 00:19:33,000 --> 00:19:55,000 Well I mean he I mean we all heard he assigned a contract to be kind of like an ambassador role type thing so not surprising but still you know we just ran down the entire card and one of the things we had talked about was like what do you do with LA night and we talked about maybe him being the host to WrestleMania once again now that job has been filled what do you do with LA night where's he fit into this entire equation and maybe is it the same thing. 118 00:19:55,000 --> 00:20:12,000 Maybe is it the usos or something who knows I'm just confused by it but yeah getting John on the car at least is going to help increase and take his sales and buy rates and ESPN subscriptions and the last time is now has the host of WrestleMania T shirt sales as well. 119 00:20:12,000 --> 00:20:24,000 Of course absolutely more on LA night here in a bit Hulk Hogan versus Andre the giant from WrestleMania 3 will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2026 with the Immortal moment award. 120 00:20:24,000 --> 00:20:32,000 Dr. Trey no surprise here when you talk about a moral moments none more than Hogan slamming Andre WrestleMania 3. 121 00:20:32,000 --> 00:20:59,000 Yeah I mean it in for most people of my age range that is probably the most famous wrestling match of all time for people kind of in your range you know Austin Hart that went in last year probably up there is one of the biggest matches of all time so you know that it's arguably one of the top five matches of all time I'm just going to be curious to see who actually you know does the accepting of the award on the behalf of everybody do they bring air Bishop and talk about how great Hulk Hogan is. 122 00:20:59,000 --> 00:21:11,000 Yeah I don't know it's obviously unfortunate maybe maybe you bring a Niko again now I don't know but yeah WrestleMania 3 being highlighted there Hogan and Andre more the moment award. 123 00:21:11,000 --> 00:21:28,000 Official matches will obviously quickly go through here then I'll get your thoughts Dr. Trey obviously went through the six official so as it stands right now 12 matches have been announced the rumors been figure 14 to 16 matches on the card figure either 7 and 7 8 and 8 will go through matches that I experience. 124 00:21:28,000 --> 00:21:41,000 Matches that I expect to be announced soon here shortly but of the official matches that we haven't covered so far let me know if there's anything that you want to talk about will just will run through here you got pumpkin rains about corn live. 125 00:21:41,000 --> 00:21:56,000 Jade and Rhea Cody and Randy Lesnar and Oba AJ Lee and Becky Lynch and then obviously the six other that we've already talked about any of the official matches that we haven't discussed quite yet in the past week any of the build you want to touch upon. 126 00:21:56,000 --> 00:22:15,000 I mean I think the bills this past week to add to that were just pretty consistent you know where does you know the Matt Cardona factor into the Randy and Cody stuff jelly roll getting involved in that stuff so that parts a little interesting to see how that dynamic flushes out. 127 00:22:15,000 --> 00:22:32,000 But outside of that I mean pumpkin rains the verbal back and forth the fighting has been pretty good we saw pumpkin the GTS on Roman to pay him back for the power bomb through the table so just very very consistently good builds on some of these matches that are going to be 128 00:22:32,000 --> 00:22:59,000 in the next week show what match we feel like should be main event in Saturday and Sunday but starting with Cody and Randy there the Stephanie man angle on raw on Monday and there was a video on Wednesday night from Randy 129 00:22:59,000 --> 00:23:17,000 saying that whoever he's been on the phone with is going to be making appearance on Friday's episode of Smackdown he did stare in a photo of his father talk about the layers here of Stephanie and who do you think could be on the phone and we see the reveal on Friday. 130 00:23:17,000 --> 00:23:43,000 I think I like your pick of for the reveal I like your pick of art Anderson like that would make a lot of sense I like there's part of me that wants to say Vince obviously because you see Stephanie you see triple agent show you part of the events or Shane I just don't see that being revealed on a Smackdown like that to me see as much more like a WrestleMania returns type thing so but the Stephanie stuff was really 131 00:23:43,000 --> 00:24:12,000 interesting because Cody actually referenced Vince not directly by name but he did you know like everybody knows who her dad is and it's only what the second time since Vince left the company that he's been referenced on TV in some shape way shape or form so interesting dynamic and then also bringing up Stephanie's past history with with Randy because you know Cody was there for a lot of that when legacy was going on so some really nice deep dives 132 00:24:12,000 --> 00:24:41,000 seeing triple H on TV helping break up the Oba Brock stuff was interesting because we really haven't seen him you know inside the ring other than you know like the welcome to wrestle maniac type stuff little intros he does but to see him actually in a sense get physical was an interesting twist and it also kind of helped break up that fight it's almost a remind me of a new day edge way back in the day when edge was still like that 133 00:24:41,000 --> 00:25:01,000 with you know with still retire the neck injury and you saw people like on you can't do this because of the injury it felt like Brock and Oba ball went okay we got stopped because triple H just heart condition so just an interesting layers of this that we're starting some McMahon Helmsley filter on the WrestleMania card 134 00:25:01,000 --> 00:25:30,000 and there's a lot of rumblings right now that the thought online maybe shamed McMahon on his reveal on Friday seen Kevin Owens be involved as well none of those two names would surprise me a shocking name would have to be like events but I don't foresee that happen I think the the well I mean they don't care they brought Brock back in at summer slam but any of the pub that comes out the publicity bad publicity would be something that we have to go over there 135 00:25:30,000 --> 00:25:50,000 and deal with the Oba lesser stuff is is really fun Boston New York back to back weeks I mean he is getting massive crowd reactions Oba Femme is people really want to see this match I think coming out of this match I would be surprised right now if Oba doesn't win I think Oba coming out of 136 00:25:50,000 --> 00:26:18,000 WrestleMania needs have a very similar bill to Lesnar back in 2002 when he debuted where summer slam 2026 Oba is holding up one world championship so whether it be him I guess he would have to win the king of the ring is what they've done the last several years I doubt they would do a money the bank thing to him so I I just don't see it 2026 right now or Oba Femme is not a world champion by at some point or by the end of it for sure 137 00:26:18,000 --> 00:26:46,000 so there's some of the official matches that are out there right now some of the expected matches Dr. Trey I have two of them I think the Usos and LA night versus the new tag team champions Logan Paul Austin theory and I show speed is one match and then Eosky versus Oscar which has been reported over the last several weeks definitely seems to be coming for wish and more following Rick Elrod regas defeating the Eosky on Ron Monday 138 00:26:46,000 --> 00:27:02,000 and Eos sites now more to protecting carry sane and getting out of the trenches of Oscar so I could see that being a WrestleMania match the Usos LA night Logan Paul Austin theory I show speed is something I'm like oh you gotta be kidding me 139 00:27:02,000 --> 00:27:14,000 but yeah those are the two matches I expect to be announced so far I still don't know who I show speed is I don't either I don't either to be honest 140 00:27:14,000 --> 00:27:30,000 he does by the way Sammy knows who he is because Sammy spends a lot of time surfing YouTube so Sammy saw him goes oh that's I show speed and I went okay that's why he's on the car because eight year olds know who he is but I still don't know who he is 141 00:27:30,000 --> 00:27:43,000 all I know him for is really because I still confuse him with that KSI person yeah I can't I can't tell them apart and all I really know for is getting broken 142 00:27:43,000 --> 00:27:59,000 in half by Ron breaker that's fear the rumble that's really all I know yeah I don't know me there but I know he is like over two million this is again you hear this a lot from Dr. Tray and I this is when Dr. Tray and I are now old have no idea who any of these people are I have zero interest in seeing I show speed 143 00:27:59,000 --> 00:28:15,000 I guess it means something to someone else so yeah I think those are the directions that were seen for some of the expected matches rumored matches I still have down a WWE 144 00:28:15,000 --> 00:28:25,000 tag team championship match with Damien Pritz and our truth taking on the MFT's and the Y at six Julie defending the WWE Women's United States championship against Tiffany Stratt and Chelsea green 145 00:28:25,000 --> 00:28:41,000 I think a Miz and Kit Wilson versus Jelly Roll and Dan Howes and match is one that we could see I guess you could make a case that maybe Jelly Roll is the one behind Randy Orton he goes full heal also but I don't see many rumored what we are thinking matches left to be had 146 00:28:41,000 --> 00:28:53,000 Dr. Tray and I do think WWE ultimately gets to probably eight matches per night so 16 total and we have 12 announced so far I think four more matches likely get announced 147 00:28:53,000 --> 00:29:02,000 I think some of those matches also are destined for Smackdown because Smackdown has kind of become almost like a WrestleMania pre show 148 00:29:02,000 --> 00:29:15,000 The other thing are we no longer doing the Andre the Giant Battle Royal anymore a WrestleMania? Yeah I don't know I they've saved that for Smackdown right the last couple years 149 00:29:15,000 --> 00:29:27,000 Yeah but right now it's only the tag teams are pretty much left with the tag teams and Ray Phoenix don't have anything to do at WrestleMania 150 00:29:27,000 --> 00:29:35,000 They just start making it like an NXT call it like if you win the Andre thing in your NXT you get called up to the main roster I don't know I don't know 151 00:29:35,000 --> 00:29:49,000 We haven't done that so that would be another big thing for Smackdown just hey everybody like just do like an open invitation battle or like anybody who's in wrestling that does not have a match at WrestleMania come on in for the Battle Royal 152 00:29:49,000 --> 00:30:01,000 Yeah you might as well bring the TNI guys to that's what we do on the Indies like really we have an Indie show they need you need another match hey with the Battle Royal we'll just go out and get 20 people to come in using as a test run to see if you're any good 153 00:30:01,000 --> 00:30:06,000 If you're not we never see you again and if you are good hey you win and you get a spot on our roster 154 00:30:06,000 --> 00:30:15,000 Yeah might as well so I yeah I could see some of that as well maybe maybe I'm wrong maybe we get to 14 and do 77 and two more matches get announced 155 00:30:15,000 --> 00:30:35,000 and then everything else is on that last Smackdown where maybe you get that women's United States Championship match maybe the jelly roll stuff I don't know it's we're booking so far but who knows next week you and I could be going now there's five more matches added to WrestleMania especially come out of last week 156 00:30:35,000 --> 00:30:51,000 so there we have it's a WrestleMania 42 recap from the past week what's going on there there is while WrestleMania 42 right now the build is not being considered one of the greatest builds of all time 157 00:30:51,000 --> 00:31:08,000 but we are coming off of a week Dr. Trey we're 25 years ago this week was Wrestlemania 17 and a lot of fodder online was the questioning of if it's the greatest WrestleMania of all time I think that there are some really good trilogies of wrestling 158 00:31:08,000 --> 00:31:18,000 Wrestlemania's over the years I think 17 18 and 19 is one of my favorites and I really enjoyed 39 40 and 41 159 00:31:18,000 --> 00:31:39,000 excuse me 38 39 40 for the most recent WrestleMania as I consider WrestleMania 17 the greatest WrestleMania of all time top down I have other WrestleMania as that that mean a lot to me WrestleMania 10 was the very first time I was able to watch WrestleMania live and not watching on VHS tape months later 160 00:31:39,000 --> 00:31:55,000 but to me I think WrestleMania 17 is is probably the greatest WrestleMania of all time here we are celebrating it's 25th anniversary where do you stand on things when it comes to WrestleMania 17 and if it is in that discussion of being the greatest WrestleMania ever 161 00:31:55,000 --> 00:32:10,000 Yeah it's in my discussion I'm older so like three was big for me you know not only did you have Hogan Andre which is going into the Hall of Fame immortal matches but you also had you know savage team boats which is arguably one of the greatest matches of all time 162 00:32:10,000 --> 00:32:19,000 I also liked WrestleMania 4 because we had the tournament to crown a new heavyweight champion I thought that was really cool the only time they've ever done it at WrestleMania 163 00:32:19,000 --> 00:32:43,000 I 10 was great 17s up there I still like 26 because of you know Sean and Undertaker and then 39 40 38 39 40 is a really hard trilogy to be but 17 18 and 19 as a trilogy is right there so yeah if you're just looking individual WrestleMania cards 17 is probably in my top five 164 00:32:43,000 --> 00:33:12,000 It may just kind of depends on my mood as to whether or not it's one two or three it's funny because WrestleMania 17 is a little bit clouded now in the sense that I love the match I love the angle of Austin turning and joining with the man and you've heard Steve Austin say every time he's asked about it that he wish it never happened that he actually wishes that he called an audible and stunned at McMahon hated himself turning heel and doing that 165 00:33:12,000 --> 00:33:27,000 and I think that's what makes WrestleMania 17 so memorable is that moment triple H versus Undertaker it gets often forgotten about as a great match on that card obviously the TLC match with the hardies edging Christian and the Dudley boys is up there 166 00:33:27,000 --> 00:33:39,000 Shane and Vince was even good you had the WCW wrestlers in the arena that night I mean it's just there was a lot of good stuff there was also that hardcore match where I think it was Kane Big Show and Raven 167 00:33:39,000 --> 00:33:58,000 was a match that was on there that there was really good matches on that card it was China's last in ring match in WWE I believe she defeated ivory to win the women's championship maybe she worked one more pay per view after that and then left the company very memorable WrestleMania 25 years of it 168 00:33:58,000 --> 00:34:12,000 but I always I look back at that as as the moment took place and it's just funny to hear Austin every single time he's asked about it wishes he never did the turn and that he actually called an audible and said events like hey I'm going to stun you and stay as a baby face 169 00:34:12,000 --> 00:34:26,000 well I mean he's also the guy that goes I wish I hadn't taken my ball and gone home so it's yeah when you look when you look back at stuff that you did 25 30 years ago yeah there's going to be things that you wish you could have done differently but I think at the time he was all for it 170 00:34:26,000 --> 00:34:39,000 like you got me ever like Austin was a heel his entire career until that stone cold runs a baby face and sometimes you just get tired of shaking hands and kissing babies and you know stunning all the bad guys sometimes you want to stun the good guys 171 00:34:39,000 --> 00:34:57,000 so I think it's one of these were like yeah I could he in hindsight he probably could have made a shit ton more money if he had stayed baby face for you know during that you know invasion angle and everything else but I mean Steve Austin and Kurt Angles singing Kumbai Yon and all that stuff 172 00:34:57,000 --> 00:35:04,000 that all happened because the WrestleMania 17 and those are some of the funniest most entertaining moments in wrestling history 173 00:35:04,000 --> 00:35:23,000 I agree with you I enjoyed a seal run it was very short was like eight months because by the end of the year he was back his baby face again but yeah anytime you hear Austin talk about WrestleMania 17 he hates that moment and that moment is I think that and the TLC matches what people remember the most about WrestleMania 17 feel free to chime in 174 00:35:23,000 --> 00:35:34,000 if you think WrestleMania 17 is the greatest WrestleMania of all time by commenting on this podcast over at our patreon page patreon dot com slash srtu podcast you contribute and participate and talk with us be our patreon page which is now the home of the still real show 176 00:35:51,000 --> 00:36:08,000 that's right switching gears to all elite wrestling I was prepared last night and I was as I was prepping for the show to discuss there were rumblings that Chris Jericho was going to be returning to a w that is a return to WWE was probably never going to happen potentially ever 177 00:36:08,000 --> 00:36:25,000 we've spent the last year talking about an under the belief that Chris Jericho was on his way back to WWE well dynamite open last night some weird fireworks took place and then all of a sudden Chris Jericho popped out and made his return in wiggapet Winnipeg Canada last night 178 00:36:25,000 --> 00:36:45,000 Chris Jericho is back in all elite wrestling and this is going to come off of as as sounding like bitter and I know there's a lot of people that are like WWE fans are going to be saying that you know he sucks and all this stuff even though they were cheering from the return a couple months ago 179 00:36:45,000 --> 00:37:04,000 which is certainly going to happen especially online but I'm going to say that I still believe that AEW didn't need Jericho back that AEW kind of had passed Jericho by that it was not a symbiotic relationship anymore like it used to be 180 00:37:04,000 --> 00:37:21,000 and that Jericho at this point in his career was better served to return to WWE get the pop get a run maybe do a year or two and then close up shop and I don't know be an ambassador for the company whatever needs to like Jericho doesn't need to wrestle anymore I think Jericho is almost close to 60 years old 181 00:37:21,000 --> 00:37:50,000 I hope I didn't make him too old there but it didn't feel like he needed a return and he comes out last night Jericho is 55 years old now he comes out last night in Winnipeg Canada hometown and I don't know if the audio on the TV was bad or what it was he did not get a resounding seal of approval from the fans in his own home country in his own hometown for his return to AEW 182 00:37:50,000 --> 00:38:07,000 it seemed like there was obvious excitement but the segment was kind of odd he's trying to get the cheers going he's sitting there hoping that he gets this like long applause and welcome back chance he didn't get any of that it was few and far between 183 00:38:07,000 --> 00:38:23,000 I'm sure there's get you know in two months three months a month time we go okay he's great he's he's got his way back in AEW his return the initial return and everything's worked out booking wise match wise it's all fine now you know we don't have anything to worry about 184 00:38:23,000 --> 00:38:37,000 but I think a lot of people myself included is a fan of WWE and a fan of AEW is a wrestling fan in general again I will say and hang my hat on that I think AEW kind of passed him by didn't need him back at this point and that a run in WWE made the most sense 185 00:38:37,000 --> 00:38:50,000 and then I see it played on television and I wonder if a lot of people felt the same way what do you think here Chris Jericho's back in AEW what do you think of the moment what do you think of his return and what's next for him in all the wrestling 186 00:38:50,000 --> 00:39:11,000 he got Dan Housen like Dan Dan Housen's debut last month and the crowd was like huh what like they just kind of and I think part of it was a it's opening the show the the weird pyro and you know it just it didn't feel like a grand return 187 00:39:11,000 --> 00:39:28,000 and then you see Jericho come out and the letterings the colorations are different I just kind of think the fans were just like I don't want to say they were in shock they were just like it was kind of like a WTF moment like what what's going on here like nobody was expecting it and I don't think they knew how to react 188 00:39:28,000 --> 00:39:46,000 I don't have a problem with Jericho going back to AEW I think WWE would have been a better spot for him to do it yeah but if he still tied up in a contract because that was what we're getting hearing was because of injuries and everything else like that they just kept adding on more time to it 189 00:39:46,000 --> 00:40:07,000 and that's why he's back in AEW it's fine with me like he's still an entertaining presence like his does he need to wrestle the the schedule he was wrestling before no but he can be you know like you know like they do with Adam Copeland he can be an attraction piece been in here and there help get the younger guys over 190 00:40:07,000 --> 00:40:36,000 you know into that way I think the problem he was last when we last saw him he was you know learning tree Chris Jericho and people didn't like him and now he comes back and people are still like alright is this a different character is this a different version is he reinventing himself is he going back to his roots is he still a tree a wizard I mean we like which version of Chris Jericho is this so I'm fine with him come back to you I saw somebody say the AEW does retirement towards me 191 00:40:36,000 --> 00:41:05,000 does retirement towards better than WWE and I kind of laugh because they've only done one so I'm like you can't say that but you know if it's a chance for him to work with you know people he knows and he trusts and you know they can get the most out of this time great go for it I still think WWE would have been a better spot for him but right now as long as he's not wrestling you know every single week on dynamite and collision 192 00:41:05,000 --> 00:41:17,000 like just sparsely use him in certain areas and I think it's still a good win for AEW if that's the route they go was the return cringey or am I looking to in depth into this 193 00:41:17,000 --> 00:41:46,000 this is why I use that Danhausen comparison because you and I sat here and did the Danhausen stuff and we're like was it the crowd was it the setup like I remember I blame the ramp the ramp was so long and Danhausen debuted it just by the time he got to the ring people just like what the hell is this I felt like it was just a perfect storm in a negative sense like you had the weird pyro you had the weird lighting 194 00:41:46,000 --> 00:42:15,000 it took a while for the music to kick in and when you open a show like that people kind of want to know what's going to happen when they get there because people are still coming into the arena when the music it people are even in their seats yet so it was cringey in the setup so I'm going to kind of wait to see what his response is next week or whenever we see him next to kind of gauge the AEW fan response because 195 00:42:15,000 --> 00:42:39,000 look AEW fans and you and I can attest to this are a very very ardent proud tribe of people and if they feel like you're out you're out and they really don't want you back some kind of waiting to see how the fans respond when he's actually in a spot or people kind of know he's coming and we get a true gauge of that fan response 196 00:42:39,000 --> 00:43:03,000 prior to this last time he was on a w program was April 9th 2025 that's when he walked down the learning tree was the night after a w dynasty so much a full year gone about August July August time frame we had heard rumblings and he was going to be going back in wwe even up until December January the expectation was that he was going to be appearing in the company as early as there was discussions the first raw of 2026 in Brooklyn 197 00:43:03,000 --> 00:43:09,000 and also the royal rumble and obviously going back to you know dr. Tray mentioned the dan house and stuff there's a lot of people that thought 198 00:43:09,000 --> 00:43:27,000 Jericho is going to be in that crate the debut in elimination chamber none of this obviously happened so as you and I record this it's early Thursday morning maybe there's going to be some more details out I'm very interested here what happened what was the breakdown like why he didn't end up in wwe after all those rumors 199 00:43:27,000 --> 00:43:47,000 because it felt like from all parties I mean wwe was working on the guys that he was coming back a w was working on the guys that he was leaving I think you heard like Tony con wouldn't let him leave potentially extended his contract he wasn't going to be appearing anytime soon we even predicted that he would be a wrestle mania 200 00:43:47,000 --> 00:44:11,000 I think there was a lot of negative press if you're hardcore a w fan in regards to Jericho and you probably wrote him off and just figured he was on his way back and you don't have to think about him anymore thank you for your service so yeah it was it was strange in winnipeg in canada like Jericho did not get a heroes welcome that you would typically think he would get so really interested to see what 201 00:44:11,000 --> 00:44:37,000 Sean Ross sap wrestle votes Dave Meltzer Brian Alvarez all the top guys and girls out there that have all the dirt sheets have to say about the reporting regards to Chris Jericho ever discuss is it like what happened because everybody thought you run your way back to wwe and here you are showing up on April 1st edition of dynamite back in the AW fold so Chris Jericho back in all lead wrestling something I did not see coming here the start of two thousand twenty six 202 00:44:37,000 --> 00:45:04,000 with the being said dr. Traylitz match or matches are you looking most forward to for the Saturday's annexi standard liver show. 205 00:45:37,000 --> 00:45:59,000 Tony D just for his tenure could be on the main roster I do like the new version of Tony D even though I don't know if he knows he's dressing a little bit like triple H when triple H came back from his quad injury with that denim leather jacket mix a little bit but those three of those guys are fantastic wrestlers and Tony D's fun to watch so I'm excited for that one. 206 00:45:59,000 --> 00:46:16,000 I'm really excited for the the women's championship match as well JC J and Kendall Gray low levycin Kendall Gray and low levycin match they have was fantastic and if I've never seen the tap out pin done like that before so that was pretty cool. 207 00:46:16,000 --> 00:46:31,000 And and and and tainem packsly Blake Monroe mentors because Blake Monroe for like she got the typical WWE treatment where you come in really hot they kind of push you down and you have to swim back to the surface. 208 00:46:31,000 --> 00:46:39,000 This is that testing point to see if Blake Monroe is swimming back to the surface so those are three I'm really excited about for this weekend show. 209 00:46:39,000 --> 00:46:58,000 And then the final for away for the NXT championship again you made a case there at least three of the four guys can be up on the main roster right now I wonder if Joe Hendricks going to be dropping the championship and making an appearance on the main roster pretty soon his time in NXT under the belief of of not being too long in NXT so Rook and Zarya been a very good build and feud. 210 00:46:58,000 --> 00:47:08,000 I wish they added like a stipulation this one steel cage match something like that and holds barred to have a little more violence to it and we'll see how that plays out. 211 00:47:08,000 --> 00:47:26,000 I wish miles born in Johnny Gargano was getting a little bit more built to this I mean it's it's amazing here we are like talk about Johnny Gargano back in NXT going after a championship that he held like two or three times one of the greatest NXT wrestlers of all time and it's kind of like a footnote which is unfortunate. 212 00:47:26,000 --> 00:47:41,000 Like that should be a bigger deal so NXT stand in the liver YouTube this Saturday here in the United States netflix internationally should be a fun show and we will recap it all for you on next week's edition of SRT you. 213 00:47:41,000 --> 00:48:08,000 With that being said let's get a couple plugs and sponsors out of the way you can on the show at SRT you are at patreon.com/srtupodcast and still real show feed on Apple Spotify review download this podcast don't forget to rate review and subscribe you can fall individually on X for myself at SRT you Jeff and for Dr Franklin at the Dr. Trey and of course don't forget the fall show on X at SRT you podcast with that being said what is going on the wonderful world of Dr Franklin this week. 214 00:48:08,000 --> 00:48:28,000 Well like Jeff said you can follow me on X at the Dr. Trey you can find me on Instagram and Facebook just search out Dr. Trey Franklin you'll find my smiling face there when you're on Facebook be sure check out Rockets e.J.
