- 0:01SPEAKER_00: God bless you.
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: This is Pastor Millie, and I am here one more time, and I'm here to empower you, to let you know that in the midst of everything that is rising up, in the midst of what you may be going through today, I want you to know that God has a better plan than you have.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: You see, sometimes we think that our plans are better than anyone else's plans, but guess what?
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: The plans of God is better than any other plan that can ever exist.
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: And we see that in Jeremiah 29, 11, the Lord says in his word, for I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: You will seek me and find me.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: When you seek me with all your heart, I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and will bring you back from captivity.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you, declares the Lord, and will bring you back to the place from which I carry you into exile.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: When we hear, I know the plans that I have for you, says the Lord.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: See, for many Christians, sometimes we claim this Bible verse to be ours, and we tell other people, Well, you know what?
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: The plans that God has for us is to prosper us.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: But in reality, do you truthfully believe that when you're going through the storm, when you're going through trials and tribulation, we tend to have claimed this Bible verse, and we say that it's ours, but when we're under attack, when we're under persecution, when we're under situations that seem like they're drowning us and overtaking us, can we truthfully rely on this word?
- 2:01SPEAKER_00: And God is telling us his plans is better than ours.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: You see, like the verse in Romans 8 28, which teaches us the wonderful truth that the Lord works out his plans with the best interest of his people in view.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: However, we also need to understand the context of this verse and the fact that it was given to a specific group of people and a specific time in history of the people of Israel.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: See, the promise was given to the exiles living in Babylon and was promised that the Lord will bring them back from exile.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: We see that in 29 and chapter 29, verse 14.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: You see, but this word is for us in such a time like this.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: You see, back then it was given for the people in the Bible, and now it's given to us, it's given to us, the disciples of the Lord, that in the midst of everything that we're going through, God has a plan for us, and his plans is better than our plan.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: But many of us have to understand that the promise of God, the promise did not mean that life would proceed smoothly or that everything that the exiles did would prosper.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: You see, this pro this this promise was given to people who were already living in exile as punishment for sin.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: And the promise to return was actually for the next generation that will be alive when the 70 years would be over.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: Okay, the promise of peace, and this passage is one of the wholeness, one of the wholeness in spiritual well-being rather than a guarantee of material prosperity.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: You see, even in the midst of difficult times and and divine discipline, the exiles had hope that the Lord would bring good out of their situation.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: The same way with us, God will bring good out of our situation.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: Maybe we're going through a moment that we finding ourselves, everything seems to be going wrong, nothing seems to be going right.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: But the same promises for us as well.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: God promised to prosper us, to see us through no matter what.
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: But at the end of the time, we have to understand that it is his will for our life and not our will.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: We have to understand that God is speaking to us in the midst that we grow.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: We grow through what we go through.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: And when we go through something, we're only growing spiritually, we're growing stronger, and we're confiding more in the Lord, we're trusting more in God because when we go through the fire, that's when we truthfully want more and more of God.
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: Haven't you noticed that many people that have everything they need?
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: And the last thing they think about is about needing God in their lives.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: Everything seems to be going smooth and dandy.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: So sometimes God has to allow things to come, just like many, many people are going through today, so we can understand that no matter what we're going through, God did not promise us to live in a world where peat that we were going to live in peaches and cream, but he promised that he was gonna see us through and that in the midst of affliction, he had a better plan for us.
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: He says, I know the plans I have for you.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: So no matter what you're going through, go through it and grow from it.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: Do not die in the wilderness, because I promise you, it is not meant to kill you, it is only meant to make you grow stronger and believe stronger in the things of God.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: May God bless you and see you soon.
