- 0:01As each individual tries to understand his life and purpose,
- 0:06he begins a process of observation review, and
- 0:10experimentation. At this stage, many Seekers have
- 0:15little clue about the path. That is best suited for them and
- 0:20they may try to find out different approaches.
- 0:24Once a path has been identified, they believe in many cases, this
- 0:28is the best path and they begin to recommend it to others.
- 0:33It is however frequently the case that what suits one
- 0:37individual will not suit the next one.
- 0:41Either there is a temperamental difference, a developmental
- 0:44difference, or a different starting point where life,
- 0:48circumstance, that requires each to find his own unique Way
- 0:52Forward. And follow his own path to
- 0:55realization and transformation of the nature.
- 0:59Thus, there is no one absolute Way Forward and each path has
- 1:04its own obstacles and difficulties along the way and
- 1:08relies on different aspects of the being To progress along the
- 1:12way, the common theme is the need to overcome the basic
- 1:17limitations of the human individual as presently
- 1:20constituted with the drag of the physical limitations, the
- 1:25workings of desire and the vital nature and the limits of the
- 1:29mentality. And it's narrow and very limited
- 1:32view as well as its openness to the influence of the desire,
- 1:36soul to bias the decisions, it makes worse.
- 1:40Supports the mother writes quote.
- 1:46Everyone must follow his path in accordance with his own nature.
- 1:50And there is always a preference for one way rather than another
- 1:55For one who follows the path of action, it is much more
- 1:58difficult to feel that the human personality does not exist.
- 2:03And that only the Divine Force works For one who follows The
- 2:07Path of Knowledge, it is relatively very easy.
- 2:10It is something one, discovers almost immediately for one who
- 2:15follows the path of love, it is Elementary since it is by giving
- 2:19himself that he progresses. But for one who follows the path
- 2:24of action, it is much more difficult and consequently for
- 2:28him, the first step is to do what is said, here in the
- 2:31passage of the synthesis of yoga, which we have just read To
- 2:36create and himself this complete Detachment from the fruit of
- 2:40action to act because this is what must be done to do it in
- 2:44the best possible way and not to be anxious about the
- 2:49consequences to leave the consequences to a will higher
- 2:53than his own. SRI aurobindo writes in the
- 2:57synthesis of yoga. It is then by a transformation
- 3:02of life and it's very principled not by an external manipulation
- 3:06of its phenomena that the integral yoga proposes to change
- 3:11it from a troubled and ignorant into a luminous and harmonious
- 3:15movement of nature. There are three conditions which
- 3:19are indispensable for the achievement of this Central.
- 3:22Inner Revolution and a new formation, none of them is
- 3:27altogether. Sufficient in itself.
- 3:30But by their United threefold Power.
- 3:33The uplifting can be done. The conversion made and
- 3:37completely made for first life as it is is a movement of desire
- 3:43and it has built-in us as its Center.
- 3:46A desire Soul? Which refers to itself all the
- 3:50Motions of life and puts in them.
- 3:52Its own troubled Hue and pain of an ignorant half-lit baffled
- 3:57endeavor. For a Divine living, desire must
- 4:01be abolished and replaced by a pure and firmer Motive Power.
- 4:07The tormented soul of Desire dissolved and in its stead,
- 4:12there must emerge. The calm strength happiness of a
- 4:17true vital being now, concealed within us.
- 4:21Next life as it is, is driven or LED partly by the impulse of the
- 4:26life-force partly, by a mind, which is mostly a servant and a
- 4:31better of the ignorant life impulse.
- 4:35But in part also it's uneasy and not to luminous or competent
- 4:39guide and Mentor for Divine Life.
- 4:43The mind and the life impulse must cease to be anything but
- 4:46instruments and the inmost psychic being must take their
- 4:50place. As the leader on the path and
- 4:53the indicator of a Divine guidance.
- 4:57Last life as it is, is turn towards the satisfaction of the
- 5:01separate of ego, ego must disappear and be replaced by the
- 5:06true spiritual person. The central being and life
- 5:11itself must be turned towards the Fulfillment of the Divine in
- 5:15terrestrial existence. It must feel a Divine Force
- 5:20awaken within it and become an obedient instrumentation of its
- 5:24purpose. The mother continues quote.
- 5:30One can't make a general rule for the order of importance of
- 5:33the paths. It is an exclusively personal
- 5:37Affair and there is a time when one understands very well it is
- 5:43apparent that no two paths are alike.
- 5:46No two paths can be alike. And that every man follows his
- 5:50own path and that this is the truth of his being one can.
- 5:56If one looks from a sufficient height, see a difference in the
- 6:00speed of advance. But it does not always conform
- 6:05to the external signs and one could say a little humorously
- 6:11that it is not always the wisest who goes fastest and quote
- 6:17reference SRI aurobindo, and the mother growing within the
- 6:22psychology of inner development. Chapter 5 growth of
