- 4:41Speaker 4: See we've got a little better connection.
- 4:42Speaker 7: There.
- 4:43Speaker 4: Had to do some shifting around here. Brought to you
- 4:45Speaker 4: by Meristar Casino. Wednesday edition of the Program. We'll have
- 4:48Speaker 4: Patrick Schooler, hit football coach here at Pearl coming up
- 4:50Speaker 4: in the next segment. Michael Katz coming in at three
- 4:53Speaker 4: point thirty and other guests as we move through the
- 4:55Speaker 4: day again, Auburn has sold a program record of eighty
- 4:58Speaker 4: three thousand and forty three combined all general public and
- 5:02Speaker 4: student season tickets for the third consecutive years. So the
- 5:05Speaker 4: passion is still there on the planes all we're just
- 5:07Speaker 4: looking for a winner. And if you missed it earlier today,
- 5:11Speaker 4: Art Briles hung out with Brett McMurphy and on three
- 5:14Speaker 4: he waited ten years for a second chance on American soil,
- 5:18Speaker 4: and Eastern New Mexico delivered. The Greyhounds have lost twenty
- 5:22Speaker 4: two of the last thirty games, and we're picked seventh
- 5:25Speaker 4: in the conference. Quote that inspired me. That doesn't scare me.
- 5:28Speaker 4: We're not going to be a deuce. We're up up,
- 5:32Speaker 4: he says, We're up there in the face cards. That's
- 5:34Speaker 4: any interesting way to put it, he said. The one
- 5:36Speaker 4: thing that's going to help us early is nobody's going
- 5:39Speaker 4: to know what we're going to do. Good luck getting
- 5:42Speaker 4: some Italian film. So Art Browse is back coaching coaching
- 5:46Speaker 4: at Portallis, New Mexico, halfway between Lubbock and Rosswell, it's
- 5:52Speaker 4: not in the middle of nowhere, but you can't really
- 5:54Speaker 4: see it from here. Also, Boise State puner Oscar Doyle
- 5:58Speaker 4: will donate fifty dollars to ain't Luke's Children's Hospital for
- 6:01Speaker 4: each punt inside the twenty this year, fans can join
- 6:04Speaker 4: Doyle in donating to only Children's hospital in Idaho committed
- 6:10Speaker 4: to high quality, cost effective clinic care and advocacy for children.
- 6:14Speaker 4: I thought that was pretty cool for him to do that. Also,
- 6:17Speaker 4: the Patriot League has denied Villanova quarterback Patrick mcwade's eligibility
- 6:22Speaker 4: for twenty twenty six. Mcquade's attorney says, quote, my understanding
- 6:26Speaker 4: is that Villanova has been informed that if he plays
- 6:29Speaker 4: in any games, they'll all be forfeited. Now bring this up,
- 6:32Speaker 4: nobody here. I don't think it's watching the Patriot League
- 6:34Speaker 4: unless you've got a young youngster playing there. As Ross
- 6:37Speaker 4: Stalinger said, it's worth monitoring as major conferences consider league
- 6:41Speaker 4: only self governance and enforcement models like what the SEC
- 6:45Speaker 4: has been talking about. The Patriot League is asserting authority
- 6:47Speaker 4: at the conference level in an eligibility dispute because things
- 6:52Speaker 4: aren't getting done in DC, and we knew they wouldn't
- 6:54Speaker 4: get done in DC. The conferences are taking things now
- 6:58Speaker 4: under their own leadership, which they good. They absolutely should
- 7:01Speaker 4: to govern everything going on. There some NFL news the
- 7:04Speaker 4: Texans and their wide receiver Jaden Higgins. He suffered a
- 7:07Speaker 4: torn ACL yesterday during a joint practice with the Raiders.
- 7:11Speaker 4: It's a tough blow for Houston and their receiving room.
- 7:14Speaker 4: He was, by all accounts, having a great off season
- 7:17Speaker 4: prime to take a big leap this year. He is
- 7:19Speaker 4: now out for the twenty twenty sixth season, and Chargers
- 7:23Speaker 4: center Tyler Bietz is out indefinitely after suffering damage to
- 7:28Speaker 4: an ACL and additional injuries to his knee during Tuesday's
- 7:31Speaker 4: joint practice against the forty nine Ers. Adam Schefter reporting
- 7:34Speaker 4: as well as Ian Rapaport, the injuries continue to pile
- 7:37Speaker 4: up in the NFL. We're in Pearl High School today.
- 7:40Speaker 4: It is Pirate Day on your radio. We're brought to

- 8:16Speaker 4: Patrick Schooler, head football coach Pearl will join us.
- 8:19Speaker 3: Wait on the afternoon drive. One of the last pure
- 8:22Speaker 3: pleasures I have left in my life. Yeah, maybe you
- 8:25Speaker 3: ought to get a life first.

- 9:06Speaker 4: Take any through your Wednesday. We'll have Michael Katz coming up.
- 9:08Speaker 4: In the next segment. We'll talk ole miss football camp,
- 9:10Speaker 4: see what's going on in Oxford. And again we are
- 9:13Speaker 4: brought to you by Misissippi Blood Services. Get out and
- 9:15Speaker 4: give today. Go to ms blood dot com, get them
- 9:17Speaker 4: on Facebook and get them on Instagram as well. We're
- 9:20Speaker 4: in Pearl today, Pirate Country. It is Pearl Pirate Day
- 9:24Speaker 4: on your radio right now. Their head football coach Patrick
- 9:26Speaker 4: schooler is on your radio, coach. Always good to see you, sir.
- 9:28Speaker 4: How are you.
- 9:29Speaker 8: I'm doing great? How are you? Man?
- 9:30Speaker 4: It's hot, it's hot.
- 9:31Speaker 7: You know.
- 9:31Speaker 4: We were talking about that, me and you when I
- 9:33Speaker 4: pulled up, and it was funny to hear you talk
- 9:36Speaker 4: about you know, we were at Northwest yesterday and Coach
- 9:38Speaker 4: Cooper was saying, y'all obviously know each other well, a
- 9:41Speaker 4: little hotter in flow Wood than Pearl. It's weird how
- 9:43Speaker 4: that just works that way.
- 9:44Speaker 8: It's almost where do you go, like, you know, places
- 9:47Speaker 8: on the field to get different reading. So it's something
- 9:51Speaker 8: everybody's dealing with. So we'll all deal with it, Brent.
- 9:53Speaker 8: So we figured it out.
- 9:55Speaker 4: Let's get into this football season. You know last year,
- 9:58Speaker 4: you guys were extremely competitive, had some big wins last year.
- 10:01Speaker 4: You know, went down to Pedal, I got to win
- 10:04Speaker 4: the week before Halloween. You know, you you played at
- 10:07Speaker 4: Grove really close for most of the game. Northwest ranking
- 10:10Speaker 4: you lost a close when there was there was some
- 10:11Speaker 4: good wins, there was some tough losses. Battling some injuries
- 10:15Speaker 4: last year. Kind of take us through last year. Maybe'all
- 10:16Speaker 4: were so close.
- 10:17Speaker 8: Like every game I could play here, play there, you know,
- 10:20Speaker 8: I told you gays, we got to figure out how
- 10:21Speaker 8: to score seven or defend seven more this year to tough,
- 10:26Speaker 8: tough schedule, so you have very few margin vera.
- 10:31Speaker 4: Now, there's no doubt about it. And you know you
- 10:33Speaker 4: play these we know non conferences coming up. We'll get
- 10:35Speaker 4: into this weekend next week here in a bit, but
- 10:37Speaker 4: you play those those tough games the first month to
- 10:40Speaker 4: get your guys ready. Of course, the region you guys
- 10:43Speaker 4: play in, I still say is one of the best
- 10:44Speaker 4: in the state, no doubt.
- 10:45Speaker 8: Oh yeah, no doubt.
- 10:47Speaker 4: You know, I think Region two maybe by just a
- 10:49Speaker 4: hair but it's not much. But Region three definitely one
- 10:52Speaker 4: of the toughest. So tell us a little about how
- 10:54Speaker 4: spring went the summer and kind of what you guys
- 10:56Speaker 4: were you're at today.
- 10:57Speaker 8: I love way to get spring. A bunch of young
- 10:59Speaker 8: guys come in playing. Summer was really good for I
- 11:02Speaker 8: thought the tenants was the best pabists I've been here.
- 11:05Speaker 8: Did some seven old seven's on Tuesdays. We did a
- 11:07Speaker 8: little seven on seven camp in Memphis. Thought the kids
- 11:11Speaker 8: got acted pretty well. You know, we've got a good
- 11:13Speaker 8: fall camp. You know, we've been able to dodge the
- 11:15Speaker 8: bullets on the heat so far, Uh kids have been
- 11:18Speaker 8: short practice like they're supposed to be, and we're just
- 11:21Speaker 8: gonna we're gonna be young. You know when young kids
- 11:23Speaker 8: scared you a little bit. But they're talented and we'll
- 11:25Speaker 8: just hopefully little growing pains. We can win a ball
- 11:28Speaker 8: game or two with them.
- 11:29Speaker 4: You know, when you look at this version, you had
- 11:31Speaker 4: some guys graduate now obviously new quarterbacks, some different players.
- 11:34Speaker 4: Kind of take us through who some of those guys
- 11:36Speaker 4: may be.
- 11:36Speaker 8: Crew that would gonna be the quarterback right now. And uh,
- 11:39Speaker 8: Crew's got some some valuable snaps his first year whenever
- 11:42Speaker 8: Jack got hurt. Uh then last year just played JV
- 11:45Speaker 8: and a few few high school games and not very
- 11:47Speaker 8: many when uh we didn't we wouldn't never winning big
- 11:51Speaker 8: or losing big enough to bring the JV quarterback in.
- 11:53Speaker 8: So uh but he's got command the offense. I think
- 11:56Speaker 8: he's gonna do a good job for us hopefully. Uh
- 11:59Speaker 8: really good in the backfield. Got two big running backs.
- 12:01Speaker 8: Alexander and Parks are two big body that you got
- 12:05Speaker 8: to defend over and over again, and people don't want
- 12:07Speaker 8: to defend that. So did get a couple of kids
- 12:10Speaker 8: to come out one young one one young sophomore receiver
- 12:14Speaker 8: got us finally got a senior receiver come out from
- 12:16Speaker 8: from the gym. Uh jedd and' stringfellow is gonna. I
- 12:19Speaker 8: think that chance will be really special. Usaid a really
- 12:21Speaker 8: really good off season. Did not do spring with us.
- 12:24Speaker 8: But so it's just seven on seven, Uh, Friday night
- 12:27Speaker 8: be his first real game for US. So we're excited
- 12:29Speaker 8: to see what he can do. Uh six three six
- 12:31Speaker 8: four bodies hard to defend sometimes, so we'll be young
- 12:34Speaker 8: up front. We're gonna start two sophomore and two juniors
- 12:36Speaker 8: and one senior. Uh. The senior and one of the
- 12:39Speaker 8: juniors played some last year with so three nine players
- 12:43Speaker 8: last year playing this year, so you know that's always scary.
- 12:46Speaker 8: But with two big running backs in the backfield, you
- 12:48Speaker 8: didn't get a block great and the youth fall for
- 12:50Speaker 8: a yard or two to keep you in a good
- 12:52Speaker 8: spot on the down distance.
- 12:53Speaker 4: Talking with the head football coach Pearl Pirates Patrick Schooler
- 12:56Speaker 4: on your radio it is Wednesday, stream US on the
- 12:59Speaker 4: Zone one of five nine dot com. You know you
- 13:00Speaker 4: just mentioned something there. I was going to ask you
- 13:03Speaker 4: when you got offensive linemen that are young, it's it's
- 13:06Speaker 4: hard to hide them, right, especially if they're going to start.
- 13:08Speaker 4: I mean, they're gonna be every snap. But if you've
- 13:10Speaker 4: got some experienced backs and you've got some bigger backs,
- 13:13Speaker 4: just what you said is that kind of the message
- 13:14Speaker 4: to the to the young offensive lineman is, Hey, you
- 13:16Speaker 4: don't have to be perfect, you just need to be effective, good.
- 13:20Speaker 8: Getting away defender, me ball here, make it happen something.
- 13:25Speaker 8: I like that. So, but we had we had a
- 13:27Speaker 8: pretty good old line and we've moved over D Line.
- 13:29Speaker 8: He's always played online. He's really D line is what
- 13:31Speaker 8: he is. And he's gonna be a senior. And I
- 13:33Speaker 8: was like, just put him over there. Let the young
- 13:35Speaker 8: guys learn this year when they got to be great
- 13:38Speaker 8: because of those two big, big guys in the backfield'll
- 13:41Speaker 8: make up for a lot of myths blocks. So, but
- 13:43Speaker 8: that's gonna be be the model. Run the ball at
- 13:46Speaker 8: people and be real physical and play good defense and
- 13:48Speaker 8: trying in the game in the fourth quarter.
- 13:50Speaker 4: You know, hear, And you also talk about moving young men.
- 13:53Speaker 4: We've talked with several coaches on our road tour so far.
- 13:55Speaker 4: They said, hey, yeah, we took a guy, maybe he
- 13:57Speaker 4: played receiver, but we moved him to corner off of lineman,
- 14:00Speaker 4: a defensive lineman. I think that's a lost start that
- 14:03Speaker 4: we don't even talk about that that you coaches have
- 14:05Speaker 4: to do and have to be able to say, hey,
- 14:07Speaker 4: we had him here, but we need to put him
- 14:09Speaker 4: way over there. That's that's very difficult to do. You know,
- 14:13Speaker 4: coaches have an act for that. And then also how
- 14:16Speaker 4: do you get the kid to buy into that because
- 14:18Speaker 4: some kids will say, no, sir, I'm a center or
- 14:20Speaker 4: I'm a right tackle. You're not a I'm not a
- 14:22Speaker 4: nose guard.
- 14:22Speaker 8: That's what you don't give a choice. Right if they
- 14:27Speaker 8: want to play, they'll do what we ask him to do.
- 14:28Speaker 8: And like, nobody's gonna bucket really because then they say,
- 14:31Speaker 8: we're trying to build a build a good, good program here.
- 14:34Speaker 8: They want to win ball games, so we whatever we
- 14:36Speaker 8: say do, they're gonna do it for the most part,
- 14:38Speaker 8: or they're just that's how they raise how they are. Uh.
- 14:40Speaker 8: But I think we got a good chance to be
- 14:42Speaker 8: really really good this year if we can stay healthy.
- 14:44Speaker 8: But we can't. We can't get injured in certain spots
- 14:47Speaker 8: this year, but maybe everything like that, Sure, nobody wants
- 14:49Speaker 8: to lose a quarterback. I mean, everybody's got he's a
- 14:51Speaker 8: starter for a reason because he's better than the next one. Uh.
- 14:53Speaker 8: We just you know, some of our depths not as
- 14:55Speaker 8: good as it needs to be. Maybe have some good
- 14:58Speaker 8: players back behind them. They just gonna be young and
- 15:00Speaker 8: not ready to play, you know, but sub may football
- 15:02Speaker 8: will exposure in a hurry. If you're not ready to play,
- 15:05Speaker 8: you don't.
- 15:05Speaker 4: But one of the things about Pearl, uh and it's
- 15:07Speaker 4: always been this way, and you've kept that that tradition going,
- 15:09Speaker 4: is your kids are tough. They get after it, and
- 15:12Speaker 4: you know they that if you're gonna be in a
- 15:14Speaker 4: game with Pearl, you know that you've been in a
- 15:16Speaker 4: football game when it's over with.
- 15:17Speaker 8: That's all the time. Is just a mentality we're gonna
- 15:20Speaker 8: have here. You know, last year's team a great little team,
- 15:23Speaker 8: but they weren't very great. If you look at them,
- 15:25Speaker 8: they wouldn't have a very talented football team. They didn't
- 15:28Speaker 8: uh you know, no no superstar out there. But we
- 15:31Speaker 8: were in every ball game but won last year. You know,
- 15:33Speaker 8: play some really tough games all way down in the
- 15:35Speaker 8: fourth quarter with and we laugh. But a day we
- 15:37Speaker 8: had four linebackers, none them were six ft nonem were
- 15:40Speaker 8: over one hundred and eighty pounds in this league, and they
- 15:43Speaker 8: play their tails off. So it's one of those deals
- 15:45Speaker 8: that you know, you play bigger than you are, you
- 15:47Speaker 8: play tougher, and you can be in all the ball
- 15:48Speaker 8: that you won't be in. This year's team have a
- 15:50Speaker 8: chance to be more athletic than we've had to hear
- 15:53Speaker 8: in the past. So if we can put it all
- 15:55Speaker 8: together and make a little run at it and stay healthy,
- 15:58Speaker 8: it's gonna it should be some fun Friday night for us.
- 16:00Speaker 4: Who do you guys play Friday? In the scrimmage?
- 16:02Speaker 8: Kenton? Kenton got two quarters and a quarter of j V.
- 16:06Speaker 4: And then you know, what, what do you look for
- 16:09Speaker 4: in a moment like Friday night? What are you trying
- 16:11Speaker 4: to What do you try to accomplish.
- 16:12Speaker 8: On and off the field? You know, uh, not really assigned.
- 16:15Speaker 8: Of course you want signing to be great, but like
- 16:17Speaker 8: on off the field, such teams sudden changes's gonna make
- 16:20Speaker 8: sure we all got to live on a field and
- 16:22Speaker 8: all those things like that. Of course, the game we
- 16:23Speaker 8: want to be perfect execution and but not gonna happen,
- 16:27Speaker 8: but it's gonna be. It's just gonna be good. To
- 16:28Speaker 8: see somebody besides us. You know that's by tell my
- 16:30Speaker 8: all time. I'm tired of hitting that same guy every day. Sure,
- 16:32Speaker 8: Uh so they got to be why that's why I
- 16:34Speaker 8: wanted to play on Thursday night next week because we've
- 16:37Speaker 8: had plenty of practice.
- 16:38Speaker 4: Now are you guys playing on Thursday night?
- 16:40Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 16:40Speaker 4: Okay, thank you said that. So that Madison Central week one,
- 16:43Speaker 4: that'll be right here at Pirates Stadium Ray Rogers Stadium,
- 16:46Speaker 4: And uh, that's so that's a Thursday night. Didn't know that.
- 16:48Speaker 4: So I'm glad to know that. So Thursday night ball
- 16:50Speaker 4: game Madison Central. Then you guys go to Warren Central.
- 16:52Speaker 4: That's always a big game for you guys at Florence
- 16:55Speaker 4: Clinton and then at Germantown and then also, uh, Terry
- 16:59Speaker 4: so doesn't like you guys take a week off this week.
- 17:00Speaker 8: We didn't be at Bali last week, and coach Thick
- 17:02Speaker 8: Penn called, I wanted to play, and I wanted to
- 17:06Speaker 8: play Terry, but we need to play a game that
- 17:07Speaker 8: we played for homecoming because I didn't want play and
- 17:09Speaker 8: Reid homecoming type deal and nothing against Terry whatsoever. Then
- 17:12Speaker 8: they're really good poking. I didn't want play. I don't
- 17:13Speaker 8: want to play a division ball game for homecoming, so
- 17:16Speaker 8: when Terry wanted to play and another home game for so,
- 17:19Speaker 8: I guess they don't like that part of it, but
- 17:21Speaker 8: uh be a big test, you know that there's I
- 17:24Speaker 8: don't see baby weaknesses on that schedule there.
- 17:26Speaker 4: So no, no, it's it's it's one of the it's
- 17:27Speaker 4: a seven day schedule when I look across it. And
- 17:29Speaker 4: of course then you guys will play Meridian at Northwest,
- 17:32Speaker 4: Pedal at Brandon and then Oak Grove. You know this schedule,
- 17:36Speaker 4: Like you said, I mean, you play a schedule like this,
- 17:37Speaker 4: and uh, obviously I would ask you what you think
- 17:40Speaker 4: about weeks off or nine, but obviously you're four playing it,
- 17:42Speaker 4: playing games.
- 17:43Speaker 8: You know, early on I didn't care. Then then I
- 17:45Speaker 8: was like, why we need to break her once in
- 17:47Speaker 8: a while. But sometimes he's played the football game. You
- 17:50Speaker 8: know that that that week's a dead week, and it's
- 17:52Speaker 8: kind of like, you know, sometimes you need to break
- 17:54Speaker 8: the middle of the year. I get all that, but
- 17:56Speaker 8: the kids want to play football. We want to play football.
- 17:58Speaker 8: So he called no travel really playing home games and
- 18:01Speaker 8: no travel all. But uh so it should be a
- 18:03Speaker 8: good game for us in a good game play homecoming
- 18:06Speaker 8: for so we an't gotta get a division game. We
- 18:08Speaker 8: did it.
- 18:09Speaker 4: So let's wrap it up with coach Patrick school that
- 18:11Speaker 4: we appreciate him. One more question for you, coach. You
- 18:14Speaker 4: guys got the place looking great. Phil looks good you
- 18:16Speaker 4: coming to campus. Everything looks really good Friday night here
- 18:19Speaker 4: at Friday nights here are fun, you know, with the
- 18:21Speaker 4: led lights and the music and uh the band. Of course,
- 18:24Speaker 4: Pearl's got one of the best bands in the state,
- 18:25Speaker 4: one of the best bands in the region. Talk a
- 18:27Speaker 4: little bit about that experience, because it is a great
- 18:29Speaker 4: experience here on Fridays.
- 18:30Speaker 8: It's still a you know, a lot of times, the
- 18:32Speaker 8: bigger you get, the less you get of that feeling
- 18:35Speaker 8: of a of a missy football game. Right but here
- 18:40Speaker 8: we're still a community here, so we're gonna pack it
- 18:42Speaker 8: out like that. We do a good job with the
- 18:44Speaker 8: Jim Bow tro on the video board, and the coach
- 18:45Speaker 8: Golf does the good job of getting the videos up there,
- 18:47Speaker 8: and you know, getting a little the crayll pumped up
- 18:50Speaker 8: that and we'll we'll fill the stands up and get
- 18:52Speaker 8: the smoke in the air a little bit. When the
- 18:53Speaker 8: when the Hamburger is being cooked and it's just so
- 18:56Speaker 8: football is all about. You know. I've been to the
- 18:57Speaker 8: stadiums on Friday nights and it's like dead. It's not
- 19:01Speaker 8: like that here, especially if we can score some points
- 19:03Speaker 8: and win some ball games. Gets it gets better.
- 19:05Speaker 4: No, And you're right, And you and I have had
- 19:06Speaker 4: several conversations on this because I believe if you tell
- 19:09Speaker 4: me you're one of the only coaches in the state
- 19:11Speaker 4: uh that's coached darnare at every classification.
- 19:13Speaker 8: One of them. I've been every class station there is now.
- 19:15Speaker 4: Every classication one to seven. And there's something about that
- 19:18Speaker 4: small town field right Yeah, and it does No, don't
- 19:23Speaker 4: get me wrong. The bigger classifications sometimes depending on match up,
- 19:25Speaker 4: will while you. But you go into uh. We see
- 19:28Speaker 4: this when we call the state championship games. It's a
- 19:30Speaker 4: different feel for a three a game and a four
- 19:32Speaker 4: a game versus a six or seven.
- 19:34Speaker 8: It's important the whole community, like you go, liwis one
- 19:37Speaker 8: and that shuts down right. I mean Lewis, Willeknoxie play
- 19:39Speaker 8: and Seemi people is either one of the stay either
- 19:41Speaker 8: one of those towns that's playing away. It's just they
- 19:43Speaker 8: I mean, that's what it's all about that. They eat
- 19:45Speaker 8: and breathe it up. Uh, you don't get ready big
- 19:48Speaker 8: schools like yet, just cause it's so much to do.
- 19:50Speaker 4: Right.
- 19:51Speaker 8: I remember going Q years ago when they played in
- 19:53Speaker 8: North against South Panola two other people in the stands
- 19:57Speaker 8: maybe for a North half champion game. And they have
- 19:59Speaker 8: been North having for ever a time. I was with
- 20:01Speaker 8: you all lot. He ride the street up at the
- 20:03Speaker 8: bowl now either doing this that port deal, that's amazing.
- 20:07Speaker 8: That is amazing. So you know, smaller towns and small
- 20:10Speaker 8: community like yet. I mean this football is what it's about.
- 20:13Speaker 4: Yeah, no doubt about it. He's Patrick Schooler, head football coach.
- 20:15Speaker 4: Here Pearl Pirates. They will play a preseason game coming
- 20:19Speaker 4: up this weekend or for Friday against Canton and Thursday
- 20:22Speaker 4: night kickoff. So if you don't have anything to do
- 20:24Speaker 4: on a Thursday night, get over here to Pirate Stadium.
- 20:26Speaker 4: They'll be taking on the Madison Central Jaguars. Coach. Thank you,
- 20:28Speaker 4: thank you, appreciate it. We got to take a time out.

- 22:07Speaker 4: Are you staying cool in North Mississippi? How are you?
- 22:10Speaker 9: I'm trying the best I can. It's it's it's it's
- 22:14Speaker 9: pretty rual right now. But I keep telling myself that
- 22:16Speaker 9: we're maybe like a month and a half, maybe a
- 22:19Speaker 9: little bit more away from that, like true fall weather.
- 22:22Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 22:22Speaker 4: And you know the thing is is we get both ends, right,
- 22:25Speaker 4: So we get really hot now on the other side
- 22:27Speaker 4: of the sandwich, the other piece of bread really cold
- 22:29Speaker 4: in December, we get just a small window of really.
- 22:32Speaker 9: Good weather, right, Yes, but I will take cold. And
- 22:37Speaker 9: I might be the minority on this. I will take
- 22:39Speaker 9: cold any day because I can. I can warm up
- 22:41Speaker 9: easier than I can cool down. That That's that's my logic.
- 22:45Speaker 9: It's easier to bundle up than it is to stop sweating.
- 22:50Speaker 4: No, fair enough, fair enough, I can. I can go
- 22:52Speaker 4: with that.
- 22:52Speaker 8: All right.
- 22:52Speaker 4: Let's let's get inn Ole miss football first. Let's go
- 22:55Speaker 4: the most important thing health. Any updates on injuries or
- 22:58Speaker 4: no injuries, kind of the health of the football team.
- 23:01Speaker 9: Yeah, I think it's pretty status quo in terms of
- 23:05Speaker 9: what we kind of knew before in terms of guys
- 23:08Speaker 9: that were expected to have gotten there to be back
- 23:12Speaker 9: out there after the spring from getting stuff cleaned up.
- 23:14Speaker 8: We're all good.
- 23:15Speaker 9: And of course you're you're going to get some guys
- 23:18Speaker 9: here and there who just are being held out for
- 23:20Speaker 9: precautionary reasons. But it does not sound like there's anything
- 23:24Speaker 9: anything major of notes that anyone should be worried about,
- 23:27Speaker 9: at least as of now.
- 23:30Speaker 4: Obviously, Trinidad Chambliss I saw where he made First team
- 23:33Speaker 4: All American team from the athletic He's got several of
- 23:36Speaker 4: those now pre season awards under his belt. Keewan Lacy,
- 23:40Speaker 4: the guy shares the backfield with him. What kind of
- 23:42Speaker 4: season if he stays healthy, what kind of season can
- 23:44Speaker 4: he have?
- 23:46Speaker 9: It's interesting because I think in a perfect world, and
- 23:49Speaker 9: offensive coordinator John David Baker has mentioned this, he doesn't
- 23:54Speaker 9: want Keywan Lacey to get three hundred and six carries again.
- 23:58Speaker 9: He led the nation last year in carries. He has
- 24:01Speaker 9: three hundred and thirty five total touches and that I
- 24:04Speaker 9: believe was also the most in the nation because of
- 24:06Speaker 9: the catches and whatnot. But but that doesn't he still
- 24:10Speaker 9: wants to get the same number of touches, which means that, okay, well,
- 24:14Speaker 9: if he's got less carries that needs he's catching the
- 24:16Speaker 9: ball more. I think that, you know, obviously he's he's
- 24:20Speaker 9: your guy, he's your playmaker back there. You're going to
- 24:22Speaker 9: give him the ball. But you know, there were probably
- 24:25Speaker 9: some times when he needed a breather and they didn't
- 24:28Speaker 9: feel like they could afford to And now I think
- 24:31Speaker 9: they feel like they can because they've brought in some
- 24:33Speaker 9: really good running backs with you know, with big kind
- 24:36Speaker 9: of experience and production. So you know, is it possible
- 24:40Speaker 9: he runs for fifteen hundred yards again, of course, and
- 24:43Speaker 9: maybe more efficiently because he's got a little bit more juice.
- 24:46Speaker 9: But I wouldn't be surprised at all to see maybe
- 24:51Speaker 9: like less rushing but more receiving, because by all accounts,
- 24:55Speaker 9: he's a tremendous receiver, and I think that's another part
- 24:59Speaker 9: of his game. You know, he can get him on
- 25:01Speaker 9: the field. With some of these other backs, I think
- 25:05Speaker 9: you're just putting the defense in a really tough spot.
- 25:07Speaker 9: So I think that if he stays healthy, he is
- 25:11Speaker 9: an All American. He is, he is a first round pick.
- 25:15Speaker 9: He is, he is He's in a Doak Walker conversation.
- 25:18Speaker 9: I think I think he's the real deal.
- 25:20Speaker 4: Visit with Michael Katz talking Ole Miss football ReBs in
- 25:23Speaker 4: camp getting set for next weekend as they'll take on
- 25:25Speaker 4: Louisville in a classic game, neutral site ball game. We'll
- 25:28Speaker 4: get with cats of course about that next week. One
- 25:30Speaker 4: of those backs she talked about, I believe you talking
- 25:33Speaker 4: about Makai Frasier. He comes over from Michigan State. He'll
- 25:35Speaker 4: be a junior five ten, about two hundred and twenty,
- 25:38Speaker 4: A really big back, I mean, a nice size back.
- 25:41Speaker 4: I believe he had one hundred and sixteen carries for
- 25:43Speaker 4: five to twenty last year, two touchdowns, you know, played
- 25:46Speaker 4: in nine ball games. But the most important thing he
- 25:48Speaker 4: ever right at four and a half yards per clip.
- 25:51Speaker 4: He could be that complementary back or someone else for
- 25:54Speaker 4: Keywan Lacy.
- 25:56Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean, I think what's so what's so rare
- 26:00Speaker 9: about Kwan is is you know, obviously if he's fast,
- 26:03Speaker 9: he's got track speed, but he's also just a physical bruiser,
- 26:08Speaker 9: and you know, finding that combo is hard, and so
- 26:10Speaker 9: I think they've done a really nice job of finding
- 26:12Speaker 9: guys who can do some of those things. And I think,
- 26:17Speaker 9: you know, Frasier is again he was productive at Michigan State.
- 26:21Speaker 9: You know, that's the big ten is a it's if
- 26:23Speaker 9: they've won, they they've won a lot recently, and he
- 26:26Speaker 9: was very productive there. He's a powerful guy. You look
- 26:30Speaker 9: at him and and he looks like he's he can
- 26:33Speaker 9: run between the tackles, and so I think between Matt
- 26:37Speaker 9: and you know, bringing in Josh Die ran for eighteen
- 26:40Speaker 9: hundred yards at Southern Utah Chicai Mills night is still there.
- 26:44Speaker 9: I mean, you've got a lot of backs who I
- 26:47Speaker 9: think can help take the load off to keep Keewan fresh.
- 26:51Speaker 9: But no, I I think the bringing in a guy
- 26:54Speaker 9: who is has produced it at a in a major conference,
- 26:58Speaker 9: to like Fraser, it's really really big because then you're
- 27:02Speaker 9: not afraid to take keywan off the field to put
- 27:05Speaker 9: them out. Why if the situation calls for it.
- 27:09Speaker 4: Douce Alexander returns as a big target on the on
- 27:11Speaker 4: the field. I know they got a couple of transfers
- 27:13Speaker 4: and Darryl Gill and John ta Cook who come over
- 27:16Speaker 4: from Syracuse talk a little bit about the depth of
- 27:19Speaker 4: that wide receiver room or is it something like a
- 27:21Speaker 4: lot of units around the country where you know, we
- 27:23Speaker 4: know there's dudes out there. We don't know the Pekan
- 27:26Speaker 4: order yet, but we're gonna find it out together.
- 27:29Speaker 9: Yeah, it reminds me a little bit of last year
- 27:32Speaker 9: in a way. Like last year we knew that they
- 27:35Speaker 9: had Kaden Lee and this year we know that they
- 27:39Speaker 9: have Duce Alexander. You feel pretty good about what you're
- 27:42Speaker 9: going to get from those guys, though, I do think
- 27:44Speaker 9: there is another level to Doce Alexander's game. I think
- 27:46Speaker 9: he's going to have a really big year year two
- 27:50Speaker 9: in the system. I think he's dynamic. I think there's
- 27:53Speaker 9: definitely more for him on the field. But you know,
- 27:58Speaker 9: we you know, we need to Sean Stribbling and Harrison Wallace.
- 28:01Speaker 9: We're good players, I don't I don't think we knew
- 28:05Speaker 9: quite what was in there and they emerged and so
- 28:07Speaker 9: it's a really big playmakers. And so I think there's
- 28:10Speaker 9: there's a few guys. John Tay Cook has been one
- 28:12Speaker 9: of the guys will be We've talked a lot about
- 28:15Speaker 9: and heard a lot about, and you know, he was
- 28:17Speaker 9: a five star kid coming out of high school and
- 28:20Speaker 9: it just hasn't come together for him completely. And he's
- 28:24Speaker 9: a guy who if if it clicks and he's dynamic.
- 28:28Speaker 9: Horatio Fields is another guy, the Auburn transfer, and before
- 28:32Speaker 9: that he was actually at Wake Forest with Duce Alexander.
- 28:37Speaker 9: I think he's a good side speed guy to to
- 28:42Speaker 9: have out there. So I think there's a lot of talent.
- 28:46Speaker 9: How exactly it all kind of divides up, and you
- 28:49Speaker 9: know who who ends up with nine hundred yards, who
- 28:51Speaker 9: ends up with whatever. I'm not sure, I'm I'm willing
- 28:56Speaker 9: to go there yet, but I do think that I'm
- 29:00Speaker 9: confident that this offense and sure that Shamblers are going
- 29:03Speaker 9: to have a lot of really good options one because
- 29:08Speaker 9: they always almost always has really good wide receivers and
- 29:11Speaker 9: you've got, you know, the best quarterback in the country
- 29:13Speaker 9: back there. I think they're going to be just fine.
- 29:16Speaker 4: Got a couple of minutes left here with Michael Katz
- 29:18Speaker 4: talking all Miss camp. ReBs open it up next week
- 29:20Speaker 4: against Louisville neutral site ball game. As we get ready
- 29:23Speaker 4: for game week, all right, Defensively, we've talked about Centterion Perkins,
- 29:27Speaker 4: and we've talked about Cam Franklin and some of these guys.
- 29:30Speaker 4: It looks like by reports that Ole Miss may be
- 29:34Speaker 4: deeper this year defensively, bring over a safety from Georgia
- 29:37Speaker 4: and Florida State. You know, they've got some returners on
- 29:40Speaker 4: the on the corners. Talk a little bit about the
- 29:42Speaker 4: depth of this defense and what it may look like.
- 29:45Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean, I think that even if you're just
- 29:48Speaker 9: looking at like the court unquote starters on the defensive front,
- 29:53Speaker 9: you're already feeling really good because you know, you've got
- 29:55Speaker 9: Echols and Cam Franklin and depending where you want to
- 29:59Speaker 9: classify sin Teraron Perkins at an edge or a linebacker.
- 30:02Speaker 9: But then they brought in a lot of really talented
- 30:05Speaker 9: debts in the portal from big name programs, you know,
- 30:08Speaker 9: purchased from Oregon and reynag from UH from Alabama. They
- 30:13Speaker 9: they brought in a lot of guys. I think we
- 30:15Speaker 9: we're really gonna see a difference is in that linebacker room.
- 30:20Speaker 9: You know, obviously they they lost DJ Dottery, but bringing
- 30:24Speaker 9: in you know, Keaton Thomas and Luke Farelli and having
- 30:27Speaker 9: Perkins there, I think that is a chance to be
- 30:29Speaker 9: a really really talented linebacker room.
- 30:31Speaker 2: Uh.
- 30:32Speaker 9: You know, Farrelli and and and and and Keaton Thomas
- 30:35Speaker 9: have been extremely productive. I Philly Thomas was second team
- 30:38Speaker 9: All Big twelve last year at Baylor, and Frelli was
- 30:40Speaker 9: the A C C you know, rookie of the Year.
- 30:44Speaker 9: So I think that that room has a chance to
- 30:46Speaker 9: be really, really good. And then you know, in the secondary,
- 30:49Speaker 9: you've got your two top corners back in Antonio Kite
- 30:52Speaker 9: and Jalen Blaxton, and Blaxton's healthy now, and then it's
- 30:56Speaker 9: gonna you know, he can quite safety, but I think
- 30:58Speaker 9: you probably want him a corner. He brought in more
- 31:01Speaker 9: corner help. Jim Crawford's a really talented guy. And then
- 31:05Speaker 9: of course you brought in those safeties as you mentioned,
- 31:08Speaker 9: you know, big time talented guys who have played a
- 31:10Speaker 9: lot of football at a high levels. So you know,
- 31:12Speaker 9: the conversation has kind of been like, is this defense
- 31:15Speaker 9: as good as the twenty twenty four defense, And it's
- 31:17Speaker 9: gonna take a lot to be that good because that
- 31:19Speaker 9: defense was second nationally and scoring and LB the nation
- 31:23Speaker 9: and sacks per game and the number two rush defense.
- 31:26Speaker 9: I mean, all these insane staffs. You know, is the
- 31:29Speaker 9: top end talent going to be quite as good? I
- 31:32Speaker 9: don't know. I mean Wilson Nolan and Princely Moniellen and
- 31:35Speaker 9: Poop Paul were pretty incredible and training emos. But I
- 31:38Speaker 9: think that there's some really talented players on this defense,
- 31:41Speaker 9: and it's deeper, like when you have to take a
- 31:43Speaker 9: guy out, you're okay with it because the next guy
- 31:46Speaker 9: coming in is going to get the job done. And
- 31:48Speaker 9: I don't think that was always the case of the

- 33:50Speaker 7: How you doing, Oh, I'm doing well.
- 33:52Speaker 12: I appreciate the opportunity to talking about pro athletics and
- 33:54Speaker 12: kind of what we got going on is we get
- 33:55Speaker 12: restored another school year man.
- 33:57Speaker 4: Yeah, absolutely, And we know this. For athletic directors, it
- 34:01Speaker 4: never ever stops me. And you were just sitting here
- 34:03Speaker 4: talking about Hey, checklists, and I like the way you
- 34:05Speaker 4: put it. You said, Hey, Friday nights are a production
- 34:08Speaker 4: a basketball game. That's really for athletic directors. I mean,
- 34:11Speaker 4: because it's the little things that the general public doesn't
- 34:14Speaker 4: think about. Oh, until you don't have toilet paper in
- 34:16Speaker 4: the bathrooms, you don't have the coke machine run out
- 34:19Speaker 4: like it really is a lot to get ready for
- 34:21Speaker 4: a Friday night.
- 34:21Speaker 12: Oh, it definitely is, especially in our in our day
- 34:25Speaker 12: and age with all the jumbo trons that everybody in
- 34:27Speaker 12: the metro has, and all the recognitions and on the
- 34:30Speaker 12: community engagement and everything, the sponsorships.
- 34:33Speaker 7: It's a lot that goes into it.
- 34:34Speaker 12: When you talk about a district, the size of our
- 34:36Speaker 12: district and the number of kids and athletes and the
- 34:38Speaker 12: fans that show up every very night. There's a lot
- 34:40Speaker 12: of things that go into it that a lot of
- 34:41Speaker 12: people don't understand how much time it actually takes and
- 34:43Speaker 12: how many things that have to fall in line to
- 34:45Speaker 12: make sure it runs smoothly.
- 34:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:48Speaker 4: No, I mean, and you mentioned it. I mean there's
- 34:49Speaker 4: things now that you guys are having to deal with
- 34:52Speaker 4: that you did before. Jumbo trons everybody loves them, but
- 34:55Speaker 4: you got to make sure. I mean if a bulb
- 34:56Speaker 4: goes out or you know, the lights, the lighting, I
- 34:59Speaker 4: mean just everything. Let's talk a little bit about peerl
- 35:02Speaker 4: you guys, Like I told Coach School, I got the
- 35:03Speaker 4: place looking great as always. Friday nights here are really
- 35:06Speaker 4: really fun. You guys do a great job with that production.
- 35:10Speaker 4: Talk about you know, some of the things that you
- 35:12Speaker 4: guys have done as far as I approvement's here the
- 35:13Speaker 4: last several years.
- 35:15Speaker 12: You know, at our football facility, I think it's really
- 35:17Speaker 12: a fantastic one. You know, anybody that shows up, you
- 35:19Speaker 12: can see it. We have two video boards that we
- 35:22Speaker 12: we show a lot of things, the content that create
- 35:24Speaker 12: that our kids and our broadcasting group might help create
- 35:26Speaker 12: things that our kids get excited about. We talk about
- 35:28Speaker 12: hype videos, our graphics, and recognitions. When you're able to
- 35:32Speaker 12: honor kids from all different activities, whether it be r
- 35:34Speaker 12: O t C. Whether it be somebody that's getting in
- 35:37Speaker 12: enroled in the military, whether it be uh, you know,
- 35:40Speaker 12: kids that score high achievement marks when some of our
- 35:42Speaker 12: state tests with our elementaries and some of our high
- 35:44Speaker 12: school We like to recognize kids every time they do
- 35:46Speaker 12: something phenomenal. We want our community to understand and see
- 35:49Speaker 12: the good things that are going on because we have
- 35:51Speaker 12: a community and we have a city that's growing. You
- 35:54Speaker 12: look at the neighborhoods and the roads, every things popping up.
- 35:56Speaker 12: You know, it's growing, it's booming, which is phenomenal for
- 35:59Speaker 12: us in our school. So we want to promote those
- 36:01Speaker 12: things that people understand this is a great place to live,
- 36:03Speaker 12: a great place to send your kids at school.
- 36:05Speaker 7: And then look at our facilities.
- 36:06Speaker 12: You look at track, you look at football, you look
- 36:09Speaker 12: at baseball, softball, everything that we offer. You go down
- 36:12Speaker 12: to our junior high and look at our our weight
- 36:14Speaker 12: room that we that just got done, you know down
- 36:17Speaker 12: there in the team meeting room, and that those.
- 36:18Speaker 7: Facilities are the phenomenal.
- 36:20Speaker 12: So we want to promote those We want to and
- 36:22Speaker 12: you know, our people in our community to understand that, hey,
- 36:24Speaker 12: we have things to offer your kids.
- 36:26Speaker 7: If they come here.
- 36:27Speaker 4: Ty Wayims is the athletics director here at Pearl Wednesday
- 36:30Speaker 4: edition of your radio program. Yeah, you know, it's it's
- 36:33Speaker 4: just and there's so much more now that schools offered,
- 36:36Speaker 4: you know, Pearl, Northwest, Frank and whoever it may be,
- 36:39Speaker 4: you know, just from it. And I love it too.
- 36:41Speaker 4: You know, I always joke about the first time I
- 36:43Speaker 4: ever heard a coach reference bass fishing U and you know,
- 36:46Speaker 4: for a high school kid, I thought he was kidding.
- 36:48Speaker 4: I didn't realize that. Archery, you know, pickle ball, I'm sure.
- 36:51Speaker 4: I'm sure at some point pickleball will be a sanctions board, right.
- 36:54Speaker 4: I think I think it'll You'll see it.
- 36:55Speaker 12: You see the grow in across the nationally, how fast
- 36:57Speaker 12: it's picking up, and and just at our city we
- 37:00Speaker 12: have pickleball courts, you know, and things like that. I
- 37:02Speaker 12: think it'll make us way into high school athletics.
- 37:04Speaker 7: You look at.
- 37:07Speaker 12: Our flag football with our girls, yeah, you know, like
- 37:09Speaker 12: it's boom it took off. Look at esports, you know,
- 37:12Speaker 12: all the things, archery, all these sports and these activities
- 37:16Speaker 12: that we offer, like you know, our theaters, band core
- 37:20Speaker 12: music on everything that we have going on, not just
- 37:23Speaker 12: counting your clubs that you have in our building for
- 37:25Speaker 12: our kids to do. There's a million of them, so
- 37:27Speaker 12: it's hard to find something. I always tell kids, like,
- 37:29Speaker 12: there's something that you can be involved in. We want
- 37:31Speaker 12: kids to be involved and have good experiences while they're
- 37:33Speaker 12: in high school, whether it be athletics or whether it
- 37:35Speaker 12: be activities, you know, cheered in, like whatever it might be.
- 37:38Speaker 12: Find your niche get involved because it's going to help
- 37:41Speaker 12: you grow socially as a person, you know, and prepare
- 37:43Speaker 12: you for life when you leave high school. So it's phenomenal,
- 37:48Speaker 12: you know, especially a school of this size. We can
- 37:50Speaker 12: offer so many things to kids. It's just it's a
- 37:53Speaker 12: joy for me, you know, coming from this this home
- 37:56Speaker 12: for me, so coming from here and seeing everything, seeing
- 37:58Speaker 12: how it's grown from twenty five years ago to now.
- 38:01Speaker 12: You know, back then it was just the major sports.
- 38:03Speaker 12: You always say, you're right, you're soccer, your baseball, your
- 38:05Speaker 12: you know, football, basketball, right, all those, But now, like
- 38:09Speaker 12: you said, you look at everything else that they offer.
- 38:11Speaker 7: It's amazing.
- 38:12Speaker 4: Fisting with tyweemc is, the athletics director here at Pearl.
- 38:14Speaker 4: We got a couple of minutes left until we at
- 38:16Speaker 4: the top of the hour. I call it the high
- 38:19Speaker 4: school sports or high school football arms race. It's amazing
- 38:23Speaker 4: to see how high schools have evolved and now you know,
- 38:25Speaker 4: obviously athletic director independently roles, some have sids. You know,
- 38:30Speaker 4: some have obviously staffs that are are are massive, and
- 38:34Speaker 4: you've got guys that just come and fill in. It
- 38:37Speaker 4: very resembles a college now, a college model. Talk about
- 38:40Speaker 4: how you've seen that change in the high school level,
- 38:42Speaker 4: because you know what's going on here. You got to start, well,
- 38:44Speaker 4: Jay Hobson's the athletics director, you go to two plow
- 38:47Speaker 4: all around the state. You're seeing athletic departments evolve into
- 38:51Speaker 4: a miniature college version.
- 38:53Speaker 12: I think that's the way it's trending, the way it's
- 38:55Speaker 12: going because everything that goes into running the day to
- 38:58Speaker 12: day operations is not simply can I get money to
- 39:00Speaker 12: a ticket and.
- 39:01Speaker 7: Some workers right to show up. It's not that anymore.
- 39:03Speaker 12: Everything else goes into planning just the daily events and
- 39:08Speaker 12: then multiple games have going on and then the overlapping
- 39:11Speaker 12: of sports seasons. It's hard to find somebody nowadays that
- 39:14Speaker 12: if you're a coach, I'm coaching, but then I'm gonna
- 39:16Speaker 12: take care of all the other duties that might come
- 39:18Speaker 12: along with be an athletic director. I've been, you know,
- 39:21Speaker 12: I've been an athletic directoran football coach, be four you know,
- 39:23Speaker 12: and it's a lot.
- 39:24Speaker 7: It's taxing, you know.
- 39:26Speaker 12: But when you get to a school that offers this
- 39:29Speaker 12: many different things for kids to get involved in, it's
- 39:31Speaker 12: your time is limited and it's hard to be everywhere
- 39:33Speaker 12: at one time, and so I think you're seeing that
- 39:36Speaker 12: go that direction. Sometimes you can divide it up between
- 39:39Speaker 12: you know, multiple coaches can help out on different avenues
- 39:43Speaker 12: like this, I'm out of season, so I can pick
- 39:44Speaker 12: up some duties and cover some things in this time
- 39:46Speaker 12: while somebody else is focusing with their end season, and
- 39:49Speaker 12: that makes it a lot easier to be able to
- 39:51Speaker 12: manage all that. But I think you the bigger schools,
- 39:53Speaker 12: you're gonna see them start going more to Hey, an
- 39:55Speaker 12: athletic director, I need you to handle.
- 39:57Speaker 7: This because all the things we're talking about.
- 39:59Speaker 12: Had they mentioned the social media, Oh yeah, I mean
- 40:01Speaker 12: in the communication and the community engagement and website.
- 40:04Speaker 7: That's a full time job and of itself.
- 40:06Speaker 4: No, there's no doubt about it. Ty Weims, he's one
- 40:08Speaker 4: of the good ones. Athletic director here at Pearl, ty
- 40:11Speaker 4: we thank you so much for having us over today.
- 40:13Speaker 7: Thank you for joining us man, thank you so much.
- 40:14Speaker 7: I appreciate that opportunity.
- 40:15Speaker 4: Absolutely the best of luck this year. Ty Weems Athletics
- 40:18Speaker 4: Director here at Pearl. As we get close to the
- 40:21Speaker 4: end of our number one, we'll be here till six o'clock.
- 40:24Speaker 4: A couple notes real quick, as we'll get into more
- 40:27Speaker 4: notes here at the top of the hour. Let me
- 40:29Speaker 4: get back over here too, the note section real quick.
- 40:33Speaker 4: We'll get into some stuff from Bill Conley. Offensive efficiency
- 40:35Speaker 4: has never been higher and scoring is down in college football.
- 40:39Speaker 4: Why as Adam Rittenberg and Bill Conley dove into slower
- 40:43Speaker 4: tempos and also the good bad reasons for it and
- 40:47Speaker 4: time out usage in the effects of the fourth down
- 40:49Speaker 4: revolution on scoring and place sequencing. We may get into
- 40:52Speaker 4: some of that today, if not tomorrow. Also, All Miss
- 40:55Speaker 4: quarterback Trinidad Chambliss has built on his twenty twenty five
- 40:59Speaker 4: breakout season strong offseason quote. He's had a more muscle
- 41:02Speaker 4: mass in his lower half and he's a little bit
- 41:05Speaker 4: more zip on the football. That's great for All Miss,
- 41:08Speaker 4: not so much for their opponents. Are brought to you
