- 0:12Speaker 1: Good morning everyone. This is Michelle Hughes from Ageless and Timeless.
- 0:16Speaker 1: I have a guest today that I met about a
- 0:18Speaker 1: year ago in Chicago where she has her medical facilities
- 0:24Speaker 1: medical spa facility facilities.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Actually there are a lot more than a medical spot.
- 0:28Speaker 2: We'll talk about that in the moment. But good morning, Dominico.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Her name is Dominica Loretto and she's an incredible human being.
- 0:38Speaker 1: So we'll talk about her background and her journey. But
- 0:41Speaker 1: good morning and welcome Hi.
- 0:43Speaker 3: It is such a pleasure to be here with you.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Yeah, we can thank Rob Fletcher, our mutual friend, for
- 0:49Speaker 1: connecting us and was wonderful to be in your VIP
- 0:53Speaker 1: lounge at the Biohackers World conference in Chicago. So I
- 0:59Speaker 1: just went to the the one in La the one
- 1:02Speaker 1: that they just had.
- 1:03Speaker 2: You were not there.
- 1:04Speaker 3: I take care.
- 1:04Speaker 1: No.
- 1:05Speaker 4: I was speaking the same weekend as they had conference.
- 1:08Speaker 4: I was speaking at esthetic conference at the same time,
- 1:13Speaker 4: so I couldn't attend, was it. Yeah?
- 1:15Speaker 2: The good news.
- 1:15Speaker 1: The good news is you now are on the speaker's
- 1:18Speaker 1: VIEWAU right, you're getting the circuit. That's great. That's so
- 1:21Speaker 1: good that you're spreading the word. Well, let me just
- 1:23Speaker 1: tell our audience just a little bit about your journey
- 1:27Speaker 1: and then you can take over. So you're you know,
- 1:31Speaker 1: you're looking at a person who just didn't do it
- 1:33Speaker 1: the easy way. She came here as an immigrant from Poland,
- 1:37Speaker 1: had almost zero dollars in her bank.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Account, and but knew that she wanted to, you know,
- 1:46Speaker 2: build a business. But she went, you became You were
- 1:49Speaker 2: a nurse first, right, Kamunika.
- 1:52Speaker 4: Right, So I became a nurse, and now I'm actually
- 1:55Speaker 4: finishing nurse practitioners, so that's it's happening like very very soon.
- 2:00Speaker 4: So but yes, originally I became a nurse without any
- 2:06Speaker 4: money and any English.
- 2:07Speaker 3: So that's that's the funt that's right.
- 2:09Speaker 2: I forgot but that you didn't even speak English, I didn't.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Yes, I didn't speak English.
- 2:14Speaker 4: I went to school for English as a second language,
- 2:18Speaker 4: and teachers said that I was smart enough to go
- 2:23Speaker 4: get regular college classes. I passed the exam, I graduated
- 2:27Speaker 4: just with the you know, associate degree, and then I
- 2:31Speaker 4: enrolled in nursing college or nursing university, which I got
- 2:36Speaker 4: accepted in.
- 2:38Speaker 3: I passed.
- 2:39Speaker 4: I actually graduated with the second highest GPA in the
- 2:41Speaker 4: entire school. Early speaking English, I was studying with the dictionary.
- 2:46Speaker 4: So and the reason I wasn't like the best the
- 2:50Speaker 4: best was that sometimes on a test I couldn't really
- 2:55Speaker 4: understand what the question was asking because I didn't have
- 2:57Speaker 4: the ability to comprehend language at the time. But yeah,
- 3:02Speaker 4: I mean I managed to get three point nine four
- 3:05Speaker 4: GPA at the end, so very proud of myself. And
- 3:09Speaker 4: worked in emergency room for a long time and I
- 3:14Speaker 4: became Trauma Honors Specialists, so I was actually taking more
- 3:19Speaker 4: you know, intensive cases and all trauma cases. And then
- 3:24Speaker 4: I did a little bit of management, but I did
- 3:26Speaker 4: not really like that, so I went back to do
- 3:30Speaker 4: er and then I got into like equality improvement. So
- 3:37Speaker 4: I was on a bunch of project in emergency room,
- 3:40Speaker 4: and when COVID hit, I just did not really like
- 3:45Speaker 4: the ethic of I mean, there was just a lot
- 3:48Speaker 4: going on. So at that point I decided that it
- 3:51Speaker 4: was time for me to just change these So when.
- 3:54Speaker 1: You were in the emergency room by that time, could
- 3:56Speaker 1: you speak English?
- 3:57Speaker 3: Yeah? So yes.
- 3:58Speaker 4: At the time, so I I was already US citizen
- 4:04Speaker 4: when I know, I had a green card when I
- 4:06Speaker 4: started working in emergency room, that I became US citizen,
- 4:10Speaker 4: So yes, I could definitely speak the language, I could
- 4:14Speaker 4: write the language, but you know, the first couple of
- 4:20Speaker 4: years in ER was a lot of learning curve because
- 4:23Speaker 4: I couldn't I didn't know all the supplies names in English.
- 4:27Speaker 4: I knew what it was in Polish, but I couldn't
- 4:29Speaker 4: under you know, I just didn't. So it was still
- 4:33Speaker 4: learning the little things in a medical jargon and things
- 4:37Speaker 4: like that. So it took me a moment, you know,
- 4:39Speaker 4: And I mean still sometimes when I hear something there
- 4:42Speaker 4: are words, I'm like, I don't know what that means.
- 4:43Speaker 3: I have to like, you know, che GPT.
- 4:47Speaker 4: But obviously now I'm much better to understand the full context,
- 4:52Speaker 4: so it's easy.
- 4:53Speaker 3: I can communicate easy, you know.
- 4:55Speaker 4: So I studied for the nurse practitioners, so obviously the language.
- 5:00Speaker 4: So now when I talk my husband, who is you
- 5:02Speaker 4: was born as like, what are you saying?
- 5:05Speaker 3: I don't know what you're saying?
- 5:07Speaker 4: So but yeah, but at the beginnings, we're tough, you know,
- 5:11Speaker 4: we're not easy. But the United States is definitely a country
- 5:15Speaker 4: that that you can create your future and if you
- 5:19Speaker 4: really want something, you can go and get it.
- 5:22Speaker 1: I think you are the prototypical role model for the
- 5:26Speaker 1: American dream. Uh, and this is what we you know,
- 5:30Speaker 1: we all aspire when we talk to people who have
- 5:33Speaker 1: come from other countries, we know, legally come.
- 5:36Speaker 2: From other countries. Actually, yes, yes, that's a big that's
- 5:39Speaker 2: a big one.
- 5:40Speaker 1: But when you when you going through that journey other
- 5:45Speaker 1: than the language, which is that's huge. I mean, I
- 5:48Speaker 1: cannot imagine any American going to Poland and going into
- 5:53Speaker 1: an er lab and being able to not only you know,
- 5:58Speaker 1: speak to other people and to the patients, but also
- 6:02Speaker 1: understand the methodology, like you said, the medical side of things.
- 6:06Speaker 1: So you you know, people who empathize with because Americans
- 6:11Speaker 1: are the worst and speaking other languages were so spoiled,
- 6:15Speaker 1: you know, because everybody wants to speak English.
- 6:18Speaker 2: We don't have the incentive.
- 6:20Speaker 1: But I'm always so impressed with people who have English
- 6:24Speaker 1: as their second language and can speak it like it
- 6:27Speaker 1: is their first primary.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Language and learned it as an adult, not as a child.
- 6:32Speaker 1: So anyway, so while you were doing all of that
- 6:35Speaker 1: in the ER, and you were seeing a lot of
- 6:37Speaker 1: conventional medicine approaches, and you come from Poland where you
- 6:41Speaker 1: had more of an upbringing that was let's say, functional.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Side of medicine, more more holistic. What bothered you?
- 6:51Speaker 1: What were some of the things that you said, I can't,
- 6:54Speaker 1: you know, accept this or I want to change the practice,
- 6:57Speaker 1: the practice the way they do it here.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Is there anything that bothered you there?
- 7:03Speaker 4: Yeah, And I think it still bothers me because whether
- 7:05Speaker 4: it's emergency room or primary doctor office, it's just said
- 7:10Speaker 4: that our healthcare system is designed only to treat chronic.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Disease or emergencies.
- 7:21Speaker 4: It's not designed to make someone healthy or prevent diseases.
- 7:27Speaker 1: Right.
- 7:27Speaker 4: The insurance fits that model. So you only go to
- 7:31Speaker 4: the doctor when you're sick or when you have issue.
- 7:33Speaker 4: You don't go there to ask, Hey, what supplements I
- 7:37Speaker 4: should take? I'm feeling great, I want to feel better.
- 7:39Speaker 3: You go when you're sick, and the insurance will only
- 7:42Speaker 3: cover the treatments or medications there are designed to manage
- 7:48Speaker 3: the chronic disease and like emergency visits or urgent care. Right,
- 7:52Speaker 3: So we are very.
- 7:58Speaker 4: A custom or like ray or, we live in this
- 8:02Speaker 4: model that we only see and look at. Okay, if
- 8:06Speaker 4: my insurance doesn't cover that, I'm not gonna get it, right,
- 8:09Speaker 4: because it's not it's just you're so limited and true
- 8:14Speaker 4: health Honestly, comes from a lot of stuff that we
- 8:20Speaker 4: or a lot of treatments that we can do at home.
- 8:22Speaker 4: But you gotta be like CEO of your own health.
- 8:25Speaker 4: You you're the one who needs to look into the
- 8:30Speaker 4: healthy ways of living because the doctor won't tell you that.
- 8:34Speaker 4: They're just limited by what the insurance is telling them.
- 8:38Speaker 4: So you're come in feeling I don't know.
- 8:40Speaker 3: If you have.
- 8:42Speaker 4: A headache, they're gonna give you a medication for headache.
- 8:45Speaker 4: But that's not they're not gonna dig in and try
- 8:48Speaker 4: to find the cause of this headache or root cause
- 8:52Speaker 4: like functional recourse because they don't have time. Insurance doesn't
- 8:55Speaker 4: cover type these type of tests. It's just not designed
- 8:59Speaker 4: that way.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Well here's yeah, go ahead. Good.
- 9:03Speaker 3: It's very like being in emergency room.
- 9:05Speaker 4: I think the most frustrating things that we had people
- 9:08Speaker 4: who were coming in with so many different issues and
- 9:12Speaker 4: we were just putting a bendate. It was such a
- 9:15Speaker 4: superficial care unless like someone was really sick. Okay, then
- 9:21Speaker 4: you get admitted to the hospital. But back pain, okay,
- 9:25Speaker 4: take thail and all. If it's severe day you know,
- 9:28Speaker 4: opioids or things like that. The X ray comes back fine,
- 9:31Speaker 4: you just the searched home. No one is asking you, okay,
- 9:34Speaker 4: what's your daily activities? How do you sleep? You know,
- 9:37Speaker 4: do you move around? No one is asking about the
- 9:40Speaker 4: diet because we people, doctors, nurses don't have time for that.
- 9:43Speaker 4: And it's not it doesn't fit in that model that
- 9:46Speaker 4: we daily.
- 9:47Speaker 1: You know, cellular protection is a key component of longevity,
- 9:52Speaker 1: and that's where C sixty and just the conversation. Known
- 9:56Speaker 1: for its powerful antioxidant properties, C sixty is being explored
- 10:01Speaker 1: for its role in reducing oxidative stress and supporting cellular resilience.
- 10:07Speaker 1: As interest grows around mitochondrial health and aging at the
- 10:11Speaker 1: cellular level, C sixty continues to stand out as a
- 10:15Speaker 1: fascinating area of research and application. It's exactly the kind
- 10:20Speaker 1: of forward looking wellness solution we aim to spotlight on.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Ageless and Timeless. For more information on C sixty and
- 10:28Speaker 1: how it's being used in longevity focused routines, check the
- 10:33Speaker 1: affiliate link in the show notes or use Ageless ten
- 10:37Speaker 1: for ten percent off your purchase of all their products.
- 10:43Speaker 1: And so right, it's the root cause functional medicine is
- 10:48Speaker 1: actually superseded here in the conventional allopathic by symptom based
- 10:55Speaker 1: medicine with pharmaceutical drugs being or ASAI as you mentioned,
- 11:01Speaker 1: you know, being the solution. And that's just like you said,
- 11:04Speaker 1: a band aid. So this is the sickness of the
- 11:08Speaker 1: American healthcare system. It's very dominated by it is dominated
- 11:12Speaker 1: by pharmaceutical cartel. And you need to basically take one
- 11:18Speaker 1: medication that has side effects and now you're taking another
- 11:21Speaker 1: medification to address the side effects of the first medication.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Before you know it, you have a shelf of pills
- 11:29Speaker 1: and you're down a big black hole. So it's very
- 11:32Speaker 1: much it's not a surprise that people have awakened. Many
- 11:37Speaker 1: people have awakened to what you and I both recognize
- 11:41Speaker 1: as a much better model system, which is to look
- 11:45Speaker 1: at the route, look for the root cause. But you
- 11:48Speaker 1: know that unfortunately ends up being concierge medicine or functional
- 11:53Speaker 1: approaches are not insurance base. And so the other sickness
- 11:57Speaker 1: is the insurance companies are at fault for not being
- 12:02Speaker 1: more proactive about finding other models that will be covered,
- 12:09Speaker 1: other methods that will be covered. So we have a
- 12:11Speaker 1: system that's kind of it's very sick. I mean, it's
- 12:14Speaker 1: a sick care system, right. Unfortunately, Well, so let's go
- 12:19Speaker 1: back to how you evolved and to you know, here
- 12:22Speaker 1: you are, You're in the er.
- 12:24Speaker 2: You have this incredible.
- 12:27Speaker 1: Knowledge that you've gained, this amazing and you're learning a
- 12:31Speaker 1: new language, learning a discipline in a foreign country. And
- 12:35Speaker 1: now you're recognizing that you don't support what you're giving
- 12:40Speaker 1: out is information and solutions.
- 12:42Speaker 2: So now what happened next?
- 12:45Speaker 4: So then during COVID, I went and got before COVID,
- 12:52Speaker 4: before I got a certification or got certified to be
- 12:57Speaker 4: an aesthetic aesthetic nurse injector. And I initially just want
- 13:02Speaker 4: to do it as a part time gig, like Okay,
- 13:04Speaker 4: this is just a fun job, will give me extra money.
- 13:08Speaker 3: So but then when COVID hit.
- 13:11Speaker 4: I stayed in a hospital for a little bit longer.
- 13:15Speaker 4: I wasn't at the bedside at that time. I was
- 13:18Speaker 4: doing department budget and like equality improvements and I.
- 13:24Speaker 3: Don't know something. It was just a lot of so
- 13:28Speaker 3: I have a high integrity, and there were like things
- 13:30Speaker 3: that I was like, Okay, I could understand certain things,
- 13:33Speaker 3: but certain things I don't know. I just I'm like
- 13:36Speaker 3: I don't want to be in this environment. Like I
- 13:40Speaker 3: did not feel like well with myself.
- 13:44Speaker 4: And I felt that I'd rather just keep my integrity
- 13:49Speaker 4: and ethic is very important for me. So my side
- 13:55Speaker 4: gig was doing well, and I was like, I'm just
- 13:58Speaker 4: gonna do this more full time and then I'll figure
- 14:01Speaker 4: it out later worst case scenario if I have to
- 14:05Speaker 4: come back to the emergency room. So then I started
- 14:09Speaker 4: working full time for a medical SPA and I was
- 14:12Speaker 4: actually working with the doctor who had a background in
- 14:14Speaker 4: functional medicine, and she was Her approach to aesthetic was
- 14:18Speaker 4: much so much different, and I think.
- 14:20Speaker 3: That I love, I just absolutely love that she.
- 14:26Speaker 4: Was very much into you know, wellness first, then aesthetics,
- 14:31Speaker 4: a lot about like functional functional medicine root cause. Then
- 14:37Speaker 4: moving on, I partner up with with a physician and
- 14:40Speaker 4: open my own practice where he is a medical director
- 14:45Speaker 4: and his background is an emergency room too. But if
- 14:47Speaker 4: he was the same thing, he just got sick of
- 14:49Speaker 4: it not being able to help people the way he
- 14:51Speaker 4: want help. So he is doing more like an integrative
- 14:56Speaker 4: medicine in our office and I do as esthetic and
- 15:00Speaker 4: more of a functional So let's say, if you come in,
- 15:04Speaker 4: he discussed your service and if you need on a biotic,
- 15:06Speaker 4: he's going to you know, prescribe on a biotic for you.
- 15:09Speaker 4: But let's say if there is you have a back pain,
- 15:13Speaker 4: we do p RP, we do stem cells.
- 15:15Speaker 3: So just a more that you know, regiative.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Medicine more than just an antibiotic or or right, uh,
- 15:23Speaker 1: a band aid solution that you were seeing before.
- 15:27Speaker 2: So yeah, you are.
- 15:28Speaker 1: You know, your business is at the intersection of longevity medicine,
- 15:34Speaker 1: regenerative medicine, I should say, or and aesthetics.
- 15:39Speaker 2: And you know because you bring me, you know the
- 15:41Speaker 2: background in the.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Esthetic side, and he brings the functional medicine side. So
- 15:47Speaker 1: your clients are actually getting a much more complex and
- 15:53Speaker 1: thorough protocol to come to you then if you went
- 15:57Speaker 1: to a typical aesthetic medical spar or all they have
- 16:00Speaker 1: are the treatment.
- 16:01Speaker 2: So just tell me what it's like.
- 16:04Speaker 1: If I'm a typical patient coming in and I want
- 16:07Speaker 1: to recognize I want to embrace both. I want the regenerative,
- 16:13Speaker 1: I want to understand all the medical side, and I
- 16:15Speaker 1: also want the improvement in the physical.
- 16:19Speaker 2: So what would happen to me if I came to you?
- 16:22Speaker 4: So usually, so if you coming in and you have
- 16:26Speaker 4: you know, complex of different or you know, several different goals,
- 16:31Speaker 4: typically what we start with is some sort of body measurements.
- 16:36Speaker 4: In blood work, we have phlebottomist or LEB in the house,
- 16:43Speaker 4: so it's easy because I'm just sending you to the
- 16:46Speaker 4: next room, we get in comprehensive blood work report, and
- 16:50Speaker 4: then depending on what the issues are that that comprehensive
- 16:54Speaker 4: blood work report. My vary a little bit, but it's
- 16:57Speaker 4: usually about seventeen pages of report. It is a very comprehensive,
- 17:03Speaker 4: you know. So that's a typical approach when you're coming
- 17:08Speaker 4: in and you're like, oh, I want I have all
- 17:10Speaker 4: these issues and I want a B, C, D and E.
- 17:14Speaker 3: Right, so that's the best way to start.
- 17:15Speaker 4: And then looking at your body measurements, how your body functions,
- 17:21Speaker 4: you know, what is the bone density or what is
- 17:24Speaker 4: the fat percentage. And then looking on the blood markers,
- 17:26Speaker 4: I can and really pinpoint, Okay, this is what you
- 17:30Speaker 4: need to change in your diet. This is what you
- 17:32Speaker 4: need to change. When it comes to activity. You're doing
- 17:35Speaker 4: too much cardio or you're not doing enough.
- 17:37Speaker 3: You need to do more resistance training.
- 17:41Speaker 4: And then like if there are any supplementations that you
- 17:44Speaker 4: need so and you typically people need some sort of
- 17:48Speaker 4: support with supplementations peptides, if they're open to peptides. And also,
- 17:53Speaker 4: I can give you a treatment plan for aesthetics because
- 17:57Speaker 4: a lot of times, and that's what happens with aesthetics
- 18:00Speaker 4: when you go to aesthetic METSPA, no one ever does
- 18:04Speaker 4: blood work right. So you go, they do treatment. They
- 18:08Speaker 4: have no idea how you're going to respond to that
- 18:10Speaker 4: treatment because they don't understand your context. They don't know
- 18:15Speaker 4: whether you inflame, if you have hypothyroidism or maybe hyper tyroidism,
- 18:20Speaker 4: if there are high lipids or traglysterrites in your body.
- 18:23Speaker 4: All these things will impact how your tissue responds to
- 18:28Speaker 4: aesthetic treatments, especially when you're inflamed. If you're inflamed, you're
- 18:32Speaker 4: not gonna get good response because you have too much
- 18:35Speaker 4: inflammatory cytokinds. So how we do it and why it's
- 18:42Speaker 4: better because if you're inflamed, I will tell you, Okay,
- 18:46Speaker 4: let's not do this laser now because you're not ready
- 18:49Speaker 4: for it. Let's give you BPC one fifty seven or
- 18:53Speaker 4: whatever the case might be. Let's just lower this inflammation
- 18:56Speaker 4: and then we can actually do laser or whatever like
- 19:00Speaker 4: you're looking for to do, you know, So we're getting
- 19:03Speaker 4: much better success with these treatments. People are much happier,
- 19:07Speaker 4: and with wellness, they not only then look better, but
- 19:11Speaker 4: they feel so much better. When you feel better, you
- 19:13Speaker 4: carry yourself better, you look brighter because you're just healthy internally,
- 19:19Speaker 4: and you have more energy, you move more, all these things.
- 19:22Speaker 4: So that's how we build our practice. We are very successful.
- 19:26Speaker 4: We do not do any marketing. We are just word
- 19:29Speaker 4: of mouth. We are super busy. We're moving to a
- 19:32Speaker 4: we have two places. One we just moved to a
- 19:35Speaker 4: bigger location than now. Second location, we are moving to
- 19:38Speaker 4: a much bigger space and we're going to be doing
- 19:42Speaker 4: just really a unique blend of wellness, functional, regenerative, integrative medicine.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Well this is yeah.
- 19:53Speaker 1: So basically that's why I said the intersection of regenerative
- 19:56Speaker 1: and aesthetics, because you know, truly, if you start only
- 20:00Speaker 1: with the aesthetics and you have already a body that
- 20:03Speaker 1: hasn't been examined medically, you're basically wasting throwing away your money.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Because I think so yeah, and.
- 20:10Speaker 4: You know it's and I all because obviously my background
- 20:13Speaker 4: in aesthetic medicine, so I do aesthetic medicine, but I
- 20:18Speaker 4: am also a very truthful person and very transparent.
- 20:21Speaker 3: Yes, when you when you.
- 20:23Speaker 4: Come in and now you know I can early I
- 20:26Speaker 4: can easily detect whether someone is let's say, inflame. I
- 20:29Speaker 4: can't because it's been like years of practice. When I
- 20:31Speaker 4: look at someone, I know, okay, there, you know. I'm
- 20:34Speaker 4: not about grabbing your money and having one time client
- 20:38Speaker 4: that just you know, leave me, I don't know, two
- 20:41Speaker 4: thousand dollars and never comes back because got no results.
- 20:44Speaker 4: I am all about building long term relationships.
- 20:47Speaker 3: I am all.
- 20:48Speaker 4: About giving you results because that's my success.
- 20:53Speaker 3: That's how I measure success. If I can't take.
- 20:55Speaker 4: You from point A to point Z and you're happy
- 20:59Speaker 4: and you're going to bring your mom, daughter, aunt, and friend,
- 21:02Speaker 4: that's that's my success.
- 21:04Speaker 1: You know, right, Well, a lot of a lot of
- 21:07Speaker 1: your clients probably already have a doctor. Are they receptive
- 21:12Speaker 1: to letting your medical advisor in, you know, the practice.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Are they receptive to letting him do the blood work
- 21:20Speaker 1: and then you're doing the body composition like like you
- 21:23Speaker 1: just described. So are people open to that typically even
- 21:27Speaker 1: though they may already have a doctor who covers them
- 21:31Speaker 1: with insurance if they're allopathic, So that's you know, that
- 21:35Speaker 1: would be one of the hurdles I would see that.
- 21:37Speaker 1: People with limited resources are going to say, well, I
- 21:39Speaker 1: can't really afford to have two doctors, and the one
- 21:42Speaker 1: doctor I have I get covered by my insurance. So
- 21:45Speaker 1: how do how do I go down that path of
- 21:48Speaker 1: embracing concierge medicine.
- 21:51Speaker 3: So a couple of things, I mean a lot of
- 21:53Speaker 3: things with that.
- 21:54Speaker 4: Most of the times, people who maintain their primary physician,
- 21:59Speaker 4: they to us and we draw different block work. So
- 22:03Speaker 4: whatever they didn't get in an office, we are adding
- 22:06Speaker 4: to what we're giving them our treatment plans. Some patients
- 22:10Speaker 4: share this with their doctors. Some patients don't because they know, Okay,
- 22:15Speaker 4: he's not gonna this is not his thing, right.
- 22:18Speaker 1: Right, Well it's threatening to him even though he's only
- 22:22Speaker 1: you know, seeing you for fifteen minutes every you know, whatever,
- 22:26Speaker 1: you know, let's say once a year, I mean, and
- 22:28Speaker 1: then giving.
- 22:29Speaker 2: You a prescription. That's the typical role protocol.
- 22:32Speaker 1: But yet they're still threatened when another practitioner is coming
- 22:37Speaker 1: in and giving you very different information than much deeper
- 22:42Speaker 1: than they are.
- 22:43Speaker 2: So yeah, it is a competitive.
- 22:47Speaker 4: Yes it is, and not you know, I don't want
- 22:50Speaker 4: to say anything better about doctors, because there are great
- 22:53Speaker 4: doctors out there, but everything is fluid and changing.
- 22:58Speaker 3: We all need to learn every day.
- 23:01Speaker 2: You know.
- 23:01Speaker 4: It doesn't matter like MD just that you have MD
- 23:05Speaker 4: next to your name. It doesn't mean that you're expert
- 23:08Speaker 4: in everything you know because things are changing, The medications
- 23:11Speaker 4: are changing everything. So if someone is not open to
- 23:17Speaker 4: you know, at least just look into other you know,
- 23:22Speaker 4: modalities or other ways of healing, that's that person is
- 23:28Speaker 4: not going to be in business for a long time.
- 23:30Speaker 3: Because I think that as society, we.
- 23:34Speaker 4: Are moving away from the Western medicine and people people
- 23:38Speaker 4: don't want to be on seven different medications. People want to,
- 23:42Speaker 4: you know, learn how to live health your life without
- 23:45Speaker 4: being stuck on you know, so many different medications.
- 23:49Speaker 3: So I but.
- 23:50Speaker 4: There are doctors now they're learning, they're open to you know.
- 23:56Speaker 4: And then we have some doctors that are saying to
- 23:58Speaker 4: our to our patients. I don't know much about functional medicine.
- 24:02Speaker 4: I don't know much about hyper brick chamber. I don't
- 24:04Speaker 4: know nothing about peptides. But I'm open to it. If
- 24:06Speaker 4: you feel better, then I'm open. Yeah, I'm fine with that.
- 24:12Speaker 4: We have some we have some patients that no longer
- 24:15Speaker 4: go to primary physician. They come to us and we
- 24:18Speaker 4: just manage their primary care needs as well.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Right, So let's jump over to something that's very important today,
- 24:27Speaker 1: and I mean I'm just jumping segue to another very
- 24:32Speaker 1: important subject, and that is the weight loss because many
- 24:35Speaker 1: of the if you you know, if you're unless you're
- 24:39Speaker 1: hiding under a rock, many of the articles that you
- 24:44Speaker 1: see today on the internet are relating.
- 24:47Speaker 2: To g l g LP ones or semi blue tide.
- 24:50Speaker 1: So tell us what your experience has been with using
- 24:54Speaker 1: g l P ones with your with your clients or
- 24:57Speaker 1: your patients and the and the medical contexts.
- 25:02Speaker 3: Okay, Yes, definitely very popular, not just for a weight loss,
- 25:06Speaker 3: but also like inflammation. People take it for inflammation, cardio protection,
- 25:10Speaker 3: even neuroprotection.
- 25:12Speaker 4: So two sides and I can talk weeks on GLP
- 25:16Speaker 4: one because we have so much data on it and
- 25:20Speaker 4: feedback and all these cyclinical experiences when it comes to
- 25:25Speaker 4: how we handle GLP one, and we do GLP one
- 25:29Speaker 4: for a long time before even the golpiece were you know,
- 25:33Speaker 4: popular because we never followed that typical dose structure and
- 25:41Speaker 4: we are implementing the functional medicine piece to it. We
- 25:45Speaker 4: do have great success with that and our patients are
- 25:51Speaker 4: highly successful there's.
- 25:53Speaker 3: No weight regain. At the end of the journey, they
- 25:56Speaker 3: feel amazing.
- 25:58Speaker 4: Their muscles is the same or just slightly decreased, sometimes
- 26:04Speaker 4: even higher because they really took to the heart or
- 26:09Speaker 4: the guidance that we gave them. So it's been great.
- 26:13Speaker 4: But I'm going to tell you this, we never had
- 26:17Speaker 4: a patient that was on MEGS dose of any of
- 26:19Speaker 4: the whether it was JLP one or jill P two.
- 26:23Speaker 4: A law to mid dose and mid dose only for
- 26:27Speaker 4: people who were really needing loose a.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Lot of weight.
- 26:30Speaker 1: Like so you do the labs as a peace that's
- 26:33Speaker 1: like number one, that's.
- 26:34Speaker 2: The biggest anybody that's that's uh.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Using PEP guides without those labs is is unprofessional in
- 26:44Speaker 1: my opinion, because you know what the person's health issues are.
- 26:49Speaker 1: So someone who is diabetic type two diabetes, that say
- 26:53Speaker 1: they're going to have a different dose than someone who's
- 26:56Speaker 1: just trying to lose weight. For So the word micro
- 27:02Speaker 1: doosing has become a big name in the TLP nomenclature
- 27:08Speaker 1: because many of your patients are not needing it for diabetes,
- 27:12Speaker 1: which was the original the original purpose of the drugs.
- 27:15Speaker 1: So they really have expanded and now they're saying they help,
- 27:19Speaker 1: like you just said, cardiovascular, many people actually don't go
- 27:25Speaker 1: through scarcopenia like they've been promoting that forever that you know,
- 27:30Speaker 1: yeah you can go on a GLP one, but you're
- 27:32Speaker 1: going to lose your muscle. And now people are smart
- 27:34Speaker 1: enough to realize how to counteract that, like you said, right,
- 27:37Speaker 1: and with people like you who are educating them. So
- 27:41Speaker 1: the question really is the big one that I've heard
- 27:44Speaker 1: is for side effects. Negative side effects is when you
- 27:49Speaker 1: lose a lot of weight, the skin becomes laxed because
- 27:53Speaker 1: you have now basically shrunk and now.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Your skin is still at the old weight.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Now you've got this new body that's much more toned
- 28:05Speaker 1: in terms of its weight size or its body size,
- 28:08Speaker 1: but the skin hasn't adapted, and now you've got to
- 28:12Speaker 1: deal with that. So how how do you How have
- 28:15Speaker 1: you approached that that problem?
- 28:17Speaker 4: So Number one, that happens a lot of times when
- 28:22Speaker 4: people were mismanaged, meaning they went to the provider or
- 28:27Speaker 4: they got it online because people were buying glps online
- 28:33Speaker 4: and they were injecting high dosages or max dosages, and
- 28:40Speaker 4: then it caused severe coloric restriction and severe weight loss.
- 28:45Speaker 4: Like immediately with that you're gonna lose a lot of
- 28:50Speaker 4: muscle with that. And yes, the skin doesn't have time
- 28:53Speaker 4: to adapt to the new body, right when you go
- 28:58Speaker 4: slow and you tell that's what I tell the patient.
- 29:01Speaker 3: I'm like, you're gonna be with me for like eight months.
- 29:04Speaker 3: I'm gonna see you once a month for at least
- 29:07Speaker 3: eight months. We're gonna do it slowly. It's not a race.
- 29:11Speaker 3: It's you know, this is you need long term results.
- 29:15Speaker 4: And I really am very strict on protein and resistance training.
- 29:21Speaker 3: They have to do it. If they don't do and
- 29:22Speaker 3: I say, and women, women are good.
- 29:25Speaker 4: Because when I say, you're gonna your face is gonna
- 29:27Speaker 4: look really really bad if you're not gonna eat enough protein.
- 29:29Speaker 4: Because that's that's that's true. They have to eat protein.
- 29:33Speaker 4: They have to do resistance training. And the other thing
- 29:36Speaker 4: that I am making sure their hormones are balanced. So
- 29:42Speaker 4: they need enough estrogen, they need enough progesterone, they need
- 29:45Speaker 4: enough discosterone. If because estrogen right, the skin the same thing,
- 29:50Speaker 4: so they.
- 29:51Speaker 3: Their hormones have to be optimized.
- 29:53Speaker 4: A lot of times I'm adding either supplements or I'm
- 29:58Speaker 4: adding another peptides that's helping with the skin. So something
- 30:02Speaker 4: like GHKCU. Also depending like if there's a twenty five
- 30:06Speaker 4: year old, maybe I'm not worrying about that college and
- 30:09Speaker 4: laws as much as I'm morning if someone is fifty five, right,
- 30:13Speaker 4: So context matters, right, But we're adding additional things. I'm
- 30:17Speaker 4: meeting with my patients once a month, whether me or
- 30:20Speaker 4: my doctor would sometimes both of us, and the discussion
- 30:24Speaker 4: is always the same. Protein protein, protein, And people are honesty.
- 30:28Speaker 4: I mean, they investing money. It's it's you know, the
- 30:31Speaker 4: insurance doesn't cover so they so I say, if you
- 30:33Speaker 4: invest money, make sure you're getting the best out of
- 30:37Speaker 4: that investment because it's going to cost you a lot
- 30:39Speaker 4: of money at the end of day.
- 30:41Speaker 3: So make sure you're doing your job. I'm gonna do mine,
- 30:44Speaker 3: you're gonna do yours.
- 30:46Speaker 1: You know, it's difficult when someone doesn't have an appetite,
- 30:50Speaker 1: and this is probably the biggest enemy to what you're
- 30:53Speaker 1: proposing to them. It's not that they don't recognize the
- 30:56Speaker 1: importance of protein. It's that they just don't feel hungry,
- 30:59Speaker 1: and they're that's.
- 31:00Speaker 3: Why those that's why.
- 31:02Speaker 4: So yeah, that's why I'm meeting with people every three
- 31:07Speaker 4: to four weeks. Because if let's say they're saying to me,
- 31:10Speaker 4: I don't even eat thousand calories a day. That do
- 31:15Speaker 4: has got to be the decreased. They have to be
- 31:18Speaker 4: able to eat. If they're not able to eat, then
- 31:21Speaker 4: it's pointless. They're going to regain the weight back the
- 31:23Speaker 4: second they stop the medication.
- 31:26Speaker 3: They're gonna lose too much muscle.
- 31:28Speaker 4: And honestly, nowadays I don't feel we're talking about weight loss,
- 31:33Speaker 4: but truly we should be talking about body recomposition.
- 31:37Speaker 3: That's what truly the goal is. It's not because sometimes
- 31:41Speaker 3: you can be one hundred sixty pounds all fat, no muscle,
- 31:45Speaker 3: and one hundred sixty pounds muscle and a little fat
- 31:48Speaker 3: looks way different exactly, and muscle is an organ of longevity, right,
- 31:54Speaker 3: So we want to build a muscle. That's what we want.
- 31:56Speaker 4: We want a body recomposition, not necessarily a number on
- 31:59Speaker 4: a scale going down.
- 32:01Speaker 2: So you said you're doing a body company. Use the
- 32:03Speaker 2: embody or do you use any.
- 32:05Speaker 4: Yes, we use the embody right now. We are getting
- 32:09Speaker 4: Dexo scan in our new facilities. We just don't have
- 32:12Speaker 4: a physically place. We limited by space, but so in
- 32:16Speaker 4: body for now and then Dexo skin when we move
- 32:20Speaker 4: in because it's.
- 32:22Speaker 1: Dexas scan, takes up a lot of space and it's
- 32:24Speaker 1: very expensive machine. So congratulations for being able to offer
- 32:29Speaker 1: that to your your patients, your clients because you know
- 32:34Speaker 1: normally now that's something that insurance will pay for.
- 32:38Speaker 4: Yes, I heard that that some insurance will pay for
- 32:41Speaker 4: Dexo scan.
- 32:41Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, because I do my dexa scan every three years.
- 32:45Speaker 2: And but you know, if you're on.
- 32:47Speaker 1: A semi glue tide or GLP one, you need to
- 32:51Speaker 1: do it more often because bone loss. We were talked
- 32:53Speaker 1: about bustlecyclopenia, but what about bone loss, which happens if
- 32:58Speaker 1: you're not eating, you're undergo, right, so that as a baseline,
- 33:03Speaker 1: you know, before they start the GLP one or two.
- 33:06Speaker 1: And then so okay, So of the GLP ones we have,
- 33:10Speaker 1: you know, zembic, wagovi jaro, those.
- 33:13Speaker 2: Are kind of the originals.
- 33:14Speaker 1: Now we have all these new ones, trzepartide and retitrude tide,
- 33:19Speaker 1: which hasn't even been approved that people are using it already,
- 33:23Speaker 1: but it's gotten huge support from the FDA in terms
- 33:27Speaker 1: of the response twenty eight percent fat loss. That's I
- 33:31Speaker 1: think retitrude tide has the highest fat loss without the
- 33:35Speaker 1: regaining of weight of any of the current ones. But
- 33:40Speaker 1: there are some new ones coming along now. When I
- 33:42Speaker 1: was at the show, they were giving out these oral ones. Yeah,
- 33:47Speaker 1: and even candy, these caramels that this company has. I'll
- 33:51Speaker 1: send you a picture of it because they gave me samples.
- 33:54Speaker 1: So now they want you to do this, like before
- 33:57Speaker 1: each meal, you take one of these care and supposedly
- 34:02Speaker 1: it supports your weight loss.
- 34:05Speaker 2: Now I looked at the ingredients.
- 34:06Speaker 1: I don't see anything magical in them, but I and
- 34:10Speaker 1: I can't tell you that it works or doesn't because
- 34:13Speaker 1: I'm not a good candidate for that, but because I'm
- 34:15Speaker 1: not trying to lose weight.
- 34:17Speaker 2: But that is on the market.
- 34:20Speaker 1: That was they had a big booth that The conference
- 34:24Speaker 1: I just came from was called Changing Life and Destiny.
- 34:27Speaker 1: Was Al Pernie as the founder of that, and they
- 34:30Speaker 1: have it annually in Dallas.
- 34:32Speaker 2: So it's one that you might want to consider.
- 34:34Speaker 1: Everybody that goes says it's the best one of all,
- 34:37Speaker 1: even better than they You know, everybody loves a four M,
- 34:41Speaker 1: but a four M is so huge it's hard to
- 34:43Speaker 1: navigate the exhibit hall, and you know, this one is
- 34:47Speaker 1: much it's like it's like the biohackers world.
- 34:50Speaker 2: It's much smaller and more multi Yeah. But anyway, so
- 34:53Speaker 2: back to the skin creepiness. Is there are there any other.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Esthetic treatments that you are using in conjunction with helping
- 35:04Speaker 1: people with their diet and making sure they get enough
- 35:07Speaker 1: protein and that they're not going through.
- 35:11Speaker 2: Not only muscle loss but bone loss.
- 35:13Speaker 1: So what's It's a complex challenge I think for someone in.
- 35:18Speaker 2: Your medical role.
- 35:20Speaker 1: So what what can you do aesthetically like on this
- 35:23Speaker 1: is there are there lasers?
- 35:24Speaker 2: Are there injections? What?
- 35:26Speaker 3: Yes?
- 35:27Speaker 2: Yes, I know GHKCU helps. I mean, yeah, that's something.
- 35:31Speaker 1: Honestly, I think every woman shouldn't be doing that, just
- 35:34Speaker 1: preventatively as you get into middle ages.
- 35:37Speaker 2: And it's just it's.
- 35:38Speaker 1: Not that big a challenge, I mean, and it's so important.
- 35:42Speaker 1: It's it's basically copper and you're basically just tightening the
- 35:47Speaker 1: skin and uh and smoothing the skin. So to me,
- 35:51Speaker 1: if I had only one peptid to take or two peptids,
- 35:55Speaker 1: I'd take BPC one five seven and GHKCU unless I
- 35:59Speaker 1: had a very specific, you know, issue that I was addressing.
- 36:02Speaker 1: But for overall wellness, those are the two that I
- 36:06Speaker 1: you know, I.
- 36:07Speaker 2: Like the best. But they course there's so many.
- 36:09Speaker 1: So let's go back to the question though about you
- 36:11Speaker 1: know what what is there can be done esthetically and
- 36:15Speaker 1: internally nutritionally to help with crappiness.
- 36:19Speaker 4: Okay, so I just the one one uh A sentence
- 36:24Speaker 4: on GHKCU. I love GHKCU, I use it all the time.
- 36:28Speaker 4: The only thing for like the audience, if you are
- 36:31Speaker 4: purchasing GHK, make sure you are getting it from the
- 36:35Speaker 4: proper sources because GHKCU is tricky because it has that
- 36:40Speaker 4: copper right, So copper is a metal, So you want
- 36:44Speaker 4: to make sure that that GHK is actually properly compounded
- 36:50Speaker 4: because they need to have a proper bond. So GHK
- 36:55Speaker 4: has a strong affinity to copper. If it's not compounded properly,
- 37:01Speaker 4: the bond is malfunctioning, and that it causes free copper
- 37:06Speaker 4: in a body. You don't want that because it can
- 37:08Speaker 4: it can cause toxicity. You want to make sure that
- 37:11Speaker 4: your your peptite is compounded properly right pitch, right temperature,
- 37:15Speaker 4: and all of the things they do, because you do
- 37:18Speaker 4: not want to cause more harm than.
- 37:21Speaker 3: Good.
- 37:22Speaker 4: And I actually had a I mean not my client.
- 37:25Speaker 4: But I had a client that called me for consultation.
- 37:29Speaker 4: We did consultation that she didn't proceed with me because
- 37:32Speaker 4: she said that, you know, pharmaceutical pep tites are expensive,
- 37:35Speaker 4: that she can buy it for seventy five dollars online.
- 37:39Speaker 4: I said, I said, that's yeah, that's your choice, go ahead.
- 37:43Speaker 4: And then she called me from the hospital because she
- 37:47Speaker 4: I don't know what was if she missed those or something,
- 37:51Speaker 4: but she had a major reaction to it. Her blood
- 37:55Speaker 4: pressure was sky high, one eighty over one hundred and
- 37:58Speaker 4: ten and she felt horrible. And I said, I'm like,
- 38:03Speaker 4: I mean, you're in a good hands in er. Nothing
- 38:06Speaker 4: I can help you with. But this is why I
- 38:08Speaker 4: stress like when it comes to certain peptides and make
- 38:10Speaker 4: sure that sourcing is is really good.
- 38:13Speaker 1: Well, actually I would go a step further and say
- 38:17Speaker 1: never ever, bye.
- 38:19Speaker 3: Thank you guys.
- 38:20Speaker 1: These are medical injections. It's you know, they are amino acids.
- 38:24Speaker 1: They are made in your body, and they are really
- 38:27Speaker 1: signaling molecules. But let's just say you're buying it from
- 38:29Speaker 1: a fourteen year old influencer on Instagram and it's coming
- 38:34Speaker 1: out of China. You don't know that that person is
- 38:37Speaker 1: not going to tell you. And the other good news
- 38:39Speaker 1: is that Robert F. Kennedy is now yes, reinstating you
- 38:44Speaker 1: know what the FDA took off the market, which included
- 38:47Speaker 1: g HKCU and BVC. You know, stupidly, I mean, honestly,
- 38:52Speaker 1: I'm being being very direct, but honestly, these pep guides
- 38:56Speaker 1: are much safer than pharmaceutical drugs, and yet they would
- 39:00Speaker 1: taken off the market for lack of scientific evidence. Thank goodness,
- 39:05Speaker 1: that was in the Biden years. Thank goodness. Now that
- 39:09Speaker 1: RFK is in that position in the in the Health
- 39:13Speaker 1: and HHS, he is seeing the mistake and he uses
- 39:19Speaker 1: peptides himself, so he knows. But that's going to make
- 39:22Speaker 1: it much safer because now people maybe they're paying more,
- 39:26Speaker 1: but much better to not never take a risk.
- 39:28Speaker 2: And this is where you know what, Sometimes what you
- 39:31Speaker 2: pay for.
- 39:33Speaker 1: Is going to make the difference, and particularly when it's
- 39:35Speaker 1: something you're rejecting medically. So I'm telling everybody that's watching today,
- 39:41Speaker 1: listen to Dominica. Listen to me, never ever ever buy
- 39:46Speaker 1: from a source that you don't know where it's coming from.
- 39:50Speaker 1: Because a lot of this has become the wild wild West,
- 39:53Speaker 1: and so many people are selling stuff that isn't is
- 39:58Speaker 1: not efficacious and can harm you like your your patient
- 40:02Speaker 1: that called you from the hospital.
- 40:04Speaker 2: So I think this is.
- 40:05Speaker 1: A huge, huge issue today, and thank goodness for RFK
- 40:09Speaker 1: that now they're available, so you have no excuse except
- 40:12Speaker 1: for money, and right for them, maybe only do it
- 40:18Speaker 1: less frequently and maybe fewer of them to take pick
- 40:22Speaker 1: the ones that.
- 40:22Speaker 2: Are the most urgent for you, right.
- 40:25Speaker 4: And I honestly think that as these compounding pharmacies will
- 40:29Speaker 4: be allowed to compound them without limitations. Now you have
- 40:33Speaker 4: a competition and the prices will go down. Right, So
- 40:37Speaker 4: I think that pharmaceutical peptides, the pricing will go down
- 40:41Speaker 4: so people can afford that, and definitely much better to
- 40:45Speaker 4: come to a doctor office and get them prescribed, get
- 40:47Speaker 4: your blood work done, see what you actually need what
- 40:50Speaker 4: you don't because sometimes you think you might need this
- 40:52Speaker 4: peptide and actually you might need something completely different. So
- 40:56Speaker 4: that's that's that's my advice. And now going back to
- 40:59Speaker 4: the sthetic treatment. When it comes to aesthetics, we do
- 41:04Speaker 4: a lot of different things depending on what is your
- 41:07Speaker 4: budget or how much you want to invest into that.
- 41:09Speaker 4: So let's say if money is like no object, yes,
- 41:14Speaker 4: lasers are great. They're usually higher price ticket, but you
- 41:19Speaker 4: do one or two when you're done, and they are
- 41:21Speaker 4: very good for skin resurfacing, collagen building, things like that.
- 41:26Speaker 4: There are let's say, like a mid tier options, something
- 41:30Speaker 4: like sculpture, which is actually my favorite love sculpture because
- 41:34Speaker 4: it does not change your face, it doesn't necessarily put
- 41:39Speaker 4: too much volume, but rebuild s collogen It gives you
- 41:42Speaker 4: that subtle.
- 41:45Speaker 3: Tightening.
- 41:46Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, I just love how the skin looks
- 41:48Speaker 4: like in I can see a difference after one treatment
- 41:52Speaker 4: on someone who is like forty years plus, provided that
- 41:56Speaker 4: there's no major issue on the blood work right, there's
- 42:00Speaker 4: like no sky high inflammation or insulin resistance or things
- 42:04Speaker 4: like that, because when when we're dealing with insulin resistance,
- 42:08Speaker 4: a lot of regenerative treatment will not bring an effect.
- 42:13Speaker 4: And then like a lowest tier, like if someone is
- 42:15Speaker 4: on a budget but wants to do something just then
- 42:18Speaker 4: old fashioned micro kneeling amazing and you can do it,
- 42:23Speaker 4: you know, every three months, or if someone wants to
- 42:27Speaker 4: do three search in every month. It doesn't break your pocket.
- 42:31Speaker 4: But it's such a good treatment. We use different serums.
- 42:34Speaker 4: Now there's so much available we Actually my favorite is
- 42:39Speaker 4: PDGF with micro kneeling. It gives you results, instant results
- 42:43Speaker 4: right after, and people love it.
- 42:47Speaker 1: Okay, So is that an EXI zome that BF PDGF
- 42:52Speaker 1: is platelet derived grow factors?
- 42:55Speaker 2: Oh oh yes.
- 42:56Speaker 4: And I know there's like a lot of drama on
- 42:59Speaker 4: social media about it about like injecting that we just
- 43:03Speaker 4: use it for micro kneeling. Very happy with using that
- 43:06Speaker 4: for micro knealing. It's it's truly amazing. And I have
- 43:10Speaker 4: a client who is seventy four years old.
- 43:14Speaker 3: And she's you she has done.
- 43:18Speaker 4: You know, and facelifts and all kinds of different treatments.
- 43:22Speaker 4: She's like, this is my favorite out of all of
- 43:25Speaker 4: the things that I've ever done.
- 43:26Speaker 3: I just like this the best.
- 43:27Speaker 4: So just playing micro kneeling using this as a you know,
- 43:33Speaker 4: glide and then post micro kneeling, it gives you that
- 43:36Speaker 4: skin tightening effect and you look like you have a
- 43:41Speaker 4: filter on your face that you don't really have to
- 43:44Speaker 4: wear a lot of makeup, you know, afterwards.
- 43:46Speaker 1: So so is it your own platelets that you're taking
- 43:50Speaker 1: from the So.
- 43:51Speaker 3: It's not like the PRP that you take.
- 43:54Speaker 4: Yeah, so it comes in a syringe. So like these
- 43:59Speaker 4: exo zoons are using now right. It comes in the vio. Also,
- 44:01Speaker 4: PDGF comes in a syringe. You mix it with hyurenic acid.
- 44:05Speaker 4: It gives you more like plumpiness and hydration and what
- 44:08Speaker 4: I do, I just use it as a glide for
- 44:10Speaker 4: micro kneeling and the rest of the syringe that I
- 44:13Speaker 4: put it after and it's beautiful, beautiful effect. So for
- 44:18Speaker 4: someone on a budget, I think this is like my
- 44:20Speaker 4: number one treatment that I would recommend, you know, and
- 44:25Speaker 4: then sculptra and then lasers if if people have time
- 44:28Speaker 4: for downtime, cause lasers obviously sometimes you have like five
- 44:31Speaker 4: days that you need to be od So what.
- 44:34Speaker 2: Do you think, what's your favorite laser?
- 44:36Speaker 1: Because people are confused today that you know, they say
- 44:39Speaker 1: the CEO two is still the Cadillac, but there's you know,
- 44:42Speaker 1: huge downtime.
- 44:44Speaker 2: But if you had, you.
- 44:46Speaker 1: Know, somebody who doesn't have the the flexibility of the downtime,
- 44:50Speaker 1: what what laser do you recommend?
- 44:53Speaker 3: Yeah? So honestly, so there is many. So one of
- 44:57Speaker 3: them I like.
- 45:00Speaker 4: Moxie, which is by sighton, so a less side effect
- 45:04Speaker 4: or less downtime, but still some the one we have
- 45:09Speaker 4: in the office, which is just a similar effect to Moxie,
- 45:13Speaker 4: but a lower price point. It's called Genesis. But you
- 45:17Speaker 4: gotta do like three sessions and on that no downtime.
- 45:21Speaker 4: You can't just go out the same day. So that's
- 45:25Speaker 4: the most popular because women like that. They look like
- 45:29Speaker 4: they just got something done, they look bright, they look glowing.
- 45:35Speaker 3: So then we have peril, which is more ablative, but
- 45:38Speaker 3: that's kind of not as bad as coeo too. But yeah,
- 45:42Speaker 3: you five days, you just no events, no obviously no
- 45:46Speaker 3: sun for like another three weeks, but nothing major going
- 45:49Speaker 3: on because it gives you Yes.
- 45:50Speaker 1: So the the way I see it, A lot of
- 45:54Speaker 1: the dermatology centers in California they say going for the
- 46:00Speaker 1: halo once a year and then do the moxi three
- 46:04Speaker 1: times a year as a maintenance. So, but the halo
- 46:07Speaker 1: is more of a quasi. It's not fully ablated, but
- 46:11Speaker 1: it's half and half. I guess right, So what do
- 46:14Speaker 1: you think of that? Have you used the halo?
- 46:16Speaker 3: Yes, halo, Yes, I have used it. I did like it.
- 46:22Speaker 3: So let me put it this way. I did like it.
- 46:26Speaker 4: The results were good, but sometimes, let's say for people
- 46:32Speaker 4: who are on a budget, I felt personally that for
- 46:40Speaker 4: what the results were the price.
- 46:42Speaker 3: Was just a little too high.
- 46:44Speaker 2: I agree with you, thank you.
- 46:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 46:46Speaker 4: And the thing is and seton this amazing laser company.
- 46:49Speaker 4: They're like, you know, the Lamborghini of all the lasers.
- 46:53Speaker 4: So the price of the treatment comes from the price
- 46:57Speaker 4: of the laser itself and using disposable and disposable are
- 47:01Speaker 4: crazy expensive, so that goes towards that price. So I
- 47:07Speaker 4: just felt that's why we don't do it anymore. In
- 47:10Speaker 4: our office, I felt like, oh my god, Like, who
- 47:13Speaker 4: can afford doing three treatments at that price and then
- 47:18Speaker 4: additional treatments to maintain I'm like, at this point, you
- 47:21Speaker 4: better just say for the facelifting, you know, like so yes,
- 47:26Speaker 4: when it comes to these lasers, I am more towards
- 47:31Speaker 4: that lasers or devices or just have a little bit
- 47:34Speaker 4: of lower price points so people can't afford it. Because honestly,
- 47:39Speaker 4: if there is a lot of laxity in the skin,
- 47:43Speaker 4: there's no non invasive device they can fix that, right,
- 47:48Speaker 4: So like we have to have the expectations and be
- 47:52Speaker 4: on the same page.
- 47:53Speaker 3: It will help, it will deliver results.
- 47:56Speaker 4: But if lifting the tissue is the goal, and maybe
- 48:01Speaker 4: sometimes it's better off. Okay, save up your money do
- 48:04Speaker 4: something minimal like micro needling to just get you by
- 48:08Speaker 4: and you know, but but yeah, but we have clientele
- 48:11Speaker 4: who just want to get it all done and then
- 48:14Speaker 4: that will halo would just be okay, yes, that's that
- 48:16Speaker 4: would be your.
- 48:17Speaker 3: You know plant.
- 48:18Speaker 4: But I felt like a lot of women were saying
- 48:21Speaker 4: that it's just a little too pricey for what the
- 48:24Speaker 4: result is afterwards.
- 48:26Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's an ongoing thing.
- 48:27Speaker 1: You have to do it annually, right along with if
- 48:30Speaker 1: you're going to do the approach that they're recommended the
- 48:33Speaker 1: halo once a year and the Moxie three times a year.
- 48:36Speaker 1: So now you're into three moxies as well as the
- 48:38Speaker 1: one time very expensive halo. So yeah, I mean, you
- 48:41Speaker 1: do look good from what I read about and talk
- 48:45Speaker 1: to people about. With the moxie, there's almost no downtime.
- 48:49Speaker 1: You just you look like you have a sunburn and
- 48:51Speaker 1: your face looked glowing for a couple of days and
- 48:53Speaker 1: then a little bit of feeling but not not bad.
- 48:58Speaker 1: But then afterwards, you know, they they say every three
- 49:01Speaker 1: to four weeks you need to come back.
- 49:04Speaker 4: So and then you edit a botox and then you're
- 49:07Speaker 4: edding on some filler and yeah, that's your fifteen thousand
- 49:11Speaker 4: dollars a year.
- 49:12Speaker 3: Makers you know, yesterday.
- 49:14Speaker 1: On the internet there was a woman in your position
- 49:17Speaker 1: who was injecting a patient in her thighs with radis.
- 49:24Speaker 1: I had never seen that before, but you know, obviously
- 49:28Speaker 1: it kind of like you can deduce from what radius is,
- 49:33Speaker 1: which is, you know, a very severe, a very intense
- 49:35Speaker 1: filler which doesn't dissipate as quickly as some of the others.
- 49:40Speaker 1: So apparently that woman had skin laxity and that was
- 49:45Speaker 1: the solution.
- 49:46Speaker 2: What do you think of that?
- 49:48Speaker 4: So I'm assuming she was using hyper diluted radias, not
- 49:52Speaker 4: just because yes, in a syrnch it's very thick and
- 49:57Speaker 4: it will create a lot on nodules. You hyper dilute
- 50:01Speaker 4: with like normal salines or bacteriostatic water.
- 50:04Speaker 3: You can.
- 50:08Speaker 4: Kind of injected under the skin to improve that skin laxity,
- 50:15Speaker 4: you know, and like a in a abdomen if you
- 50:20Speaker 4: have lexity in a skin and.
- 50:22Speaker 3: Pie some arms neck.
- 50:25Speaker 4: So, yes, that's that's the thing we do it in
- 50:29Speaker 4: our office too.
- 50:30Speaker 3: Is it popular treatment? Not really?
- 50:33Speaker 4: Probably not popular. I'm not really promoting this heavily. I
- 50:39Speaker 4: would say that maybe I see a good results.
- 50:43Speaker 3: On fifty percent of patients. So see, I'm someone who
- 50:47Speaker 3: if I don't if the treatments don't give me, like
- 50:51Speaker 3: eighty five percent of people like are it's a success
- 50:55Speaker 3: that I'm I'm just okay, let's.
- 50:56Speaker 2: You're not going to do it.
- 50:57Speaker 1: Yeah, So with people who do, let's go back to
- 51:01Speaker 1: the g lp ones and the skin laxity issue. But
- 51:03Speaker 1: I don't want to dwell on it too much, but
- 51:05Speaker 1: I do want to be sure that people have a
- 51:07Speaker 1: solution with it, because there's so many people that I'm
- 51:10Speaker 1: hearing are complaining about this, is that that's really the
- 51:13Speaker 1: only you know, most people are saying. That's the only
- 51:15Speaker 1: real downside that I've had on the Redditrue tide. I
- 51:18Speaker 1: don't know the other ones they say ozempic face and
- 51:22Speaker 1: and other issues that you know have become lawsuits for
- 51:27Speaker 1: those other those other GLP ones.
- 51:30Speaker 2: But the Rettrude Tide isn't even on the.
- 51:32Speaker 1: Market officially yet, so there's no real downside other than
- 51:37Speaker 1: they're producing these studies saying it helps with other like
- 51:41Speaker 1: inflammation and cardiovascu like.
- 51:43Speaker 2: We talked about.
- 51:44Speaker 1: So but but as far as that skin laxity, just
- 51:47Speaker 1: to be sure people are safe combined, give us a
- 51:52Speaker 1: little bit of like a protocol that you would use
- 51:54Speaker 1: if combining nutrition. And this is both skin laxity for
- 51:58Speaker 1: bone loss and collagen and elastin laws, so because they
- 52:03Speaker 1: go together.
- 52:04Speaker 2: In most cases.
- 52:06Speaker 1: So what would be the nutritional profile that you would propose?
- 52:10Speaker 1: I know that you know they say proteins should be
- 52:12Speaker 1: at least one gram per kound of weight or something,
- 52:16Speaker 1: But why don't you go through that and then believe
- 52:19Speaker 1: that subject? But I just want to be sure people
- 52:21Speaker 1: understand they can do things surface with certain lasers that
- 52:26Speaker 1: will help tighten the skin, and then they can also
- 52:29Speaker 1: very important do internally.
- 52:31Speaker 2: And guides ingen. So go through like what you would do.
- 52:36Speaker 2: Let's just say it were you. Let's just say.
- 52:38Speaker 1: You've lost you know, twenty five pounds on a reditude
- 52:42Speaker 1: tide and you want to help because you have so
- 52:44Speaker 1: much knowledge, what would you do for yourself?
- 52:47Speaker 4: So again I'm going to go back to that a
- 52:50Speaker 4: blood work, right, So we're going to just talk about
- 52:53Speaker 4: the general template here. But the most important thing is
- 52:57Speaker 4: get your blood worped on, check your nutrients, check your
- 53:02Speaker 4: any type of inflammation, check your insulin resistance, because sometimes
- 53:07Speaker 4: even people on GLP one still have insulin resistance, check
- 53:10Speaker 4: your lipids, things like that, check your hormones. So number one,
- 53:14Speaker 4: correct any deficiencies. If you're deficient in zinc, take zinc supplements.
- 53:18Speaker 4: If you have high homocysteine, you gotta take methylated b
- 53:23Speaker 4: U vitamins, so that would be number one. So correct
- 53:28Speaker 4: any deficiencies. You know, if the triglyceoids are high, you
- 53:32Speaker 4: gotta take Omega three. You got to change your diet
- 53:35Speaker 4: because that tells me you eat, you know, too much sugar,
- 53:37Speaker 4: maybe too much alcohol and things like that.
- 53:40Speaker 3: So foundation always first.
- 53:41Speaker 4: Always, you know, if your I don't know corde result
- 53:47Speaker 4: is too hire or to low, some aginal fatigue, make
- 53:49Speaker 4: sure the sleep may be some stress coping, uh, you know, treatments, meditation,
- 53:55Speaker 4: things like that.
- 53:56Speaker 3: So foundation first.
- 53:58Speaker 4: So let's say we have this corrected, and now we
- 54:00Speaker 4: want to just improve skin collagen. And you know, an
- 54:06Speaker 4: elastin GHK great peptides to add. It's going to synthesize
- 54:11Speaker 4: more collagen and it's going to go also to synthesize
- 54:14Speaker 4: more elastin, which is very important.
- 54:16Speaker 3: So that would be my one ad. On the other
- 54:19Speaker 3: thing when it comes to peptids.
- 54:20Speaker 4: Sometimes if you have skin issues, maybe like adult acne
- 54:27Speaker 4: or some ezema or things like that. I will add
- 54:30Speaker 4: BPC to the regimen or all pill because it's great
- 54:34Speaker 4: for healing the tissue, helping helping with skin conditions as well,
- 54:39Speaker 4: especially when it comes from the God.
- 54:42Speaker 3: Sometimes KPV is another.
- 54:43Speaker 4: One that I'm adding right, so now I'm covering the
- 54:48Speaker 4: internal and sometimes also very often we are adding a
- 54:54Speaker 4: growth hormone releasing peptides if someone has a low IGF one,
- 54:59Speaker 4: because that also has anti aging properties because it's going
- 55:03Speaker 4: to stimulate your grow hormone.
- 55:04Speaker 3: It's going to promote lean.
- 55:05Speaker 4: Muscle mass, reduce fat, but also more we have a
- 55:09Speaker 4: lot of grow hormon when we we lose it when
- 55:11Speaker 4: we get older. It's important for women to maintain proper
- 55:15Speaker 4: amount of IGF one which is being stimulated by these
- 55:20Speaker 4: grow hormone releasing peptides, and.
- 55:24Speaker 2: That and that that would be testa morelen or TV five.
- 55:27Speaker 4: And would be the two test morele and if morele
- 55:30Speaker 4: and CGC or sermolean and even like the very like
- 55:37Speaker 4: a first generation or a gentless would be a surmorale
- 55:41Speaker 4: and it doesn't have a huge spike in grow hormone.
- 55:45Speaker 4: It gently increases IGF one but has some anti aging.
- 55:48Speaker 3: Properties, so women like that one. So something like that.
- 55:52Speaker 4: People look women look better by just using sleep improved.
- 55:56Speaker 4: Sometimes your skill looks bad because you don't sleep.
- 56:00Speaker 3: So all that matters. Patient context matters.
- 56:02Speaker 4: That's why my consultation is always sixty minutes, because I
- 56:06Speaker 4: am going to find a solution for your problem.
- 56:09Speaker 3: And think about that.
- 56:11Speaker 4: That a lot of external issues comes from internal health. Right,
- 56:16Speaker 4: you got sleep, bad diet, alcohol.
- 56:18Speaker 3: Things like that. So I'm going to think that.
- 56:21Speaker 4: And now anything aesthetic is just a cherry on a cake,
- 56:24Speaker 4: that's right. So and then I'm going to ask you
- 56:26Speaker 4: what is your what's your budget? Be honest, tell me.
- 56:30Speaker 4: If it's two hundred dollars, I'll find you something for
- 56:32Speaker 4: two hundred dollars. If you want to invest and you're
- 56:35Speaker 4: like I want the best out of the best, I'll
- 56:37Speaker 4: give you the best out of the best, and then
- 56:39Speaker 4: just work with some more budget.
- 56:40Speaker 1: You know.
- 56:41Speaker 4: So, like I said, microneling would be like the minimum
- 56:45Speaker 4: sculptra I love sculpture. That would be like, admit, it's
- 56:48Speaker 4: about like nine eight hundred dollars or nine hundred dollars
- 56:51Speaker 4: for treatment, and then lasers are usually past the thousand
- 56:56Speaker 4: for what you need. So so that's my yeah, and
- 57:01Speaker 4: you know there is like I haven't even scratched the
- 57:04Speaker 4: surface with you today.
- 57:05Speaker 1: I mean, there's know any other questions like HBO, t
- 57:08Speaker 1: ex zones, plate lit ridge p R P. You know
- 57:14Speaker 1: what's the other one p pf R Yeah, what does
- 57:18Speaker 1: that standout?
- 57:19Speaker 3: Plate lit, platelet, rich, fibrant orb vibrant yees.
- 57:24Speaker 1: So what I suggest, because we we just got flagged
- 57:27Speaker 1: that we're out of time, So what I want to
- 57:30Speaker 1: suggest is that we have you come back.
- 57:32Speaker 2: We're not.
- 57:32Speaker 1: We have an opening, but not until November, so it
- 57:35Speaker 1: gives us plenty of time for people to digest what
- 57:37Speaker 1: they had today. But honestly, Dominique, there's you know, I
- 57:41Speaker 1: really my whole goal in this podcast is to help people.
- 57:45Speaker 1: And you know, the way we look even though we
- 57:49Speaker 1: both agree and everybody should know that it does come
- 57:54Speaker 1: internally first.
- 57:55Speaker 2: They say internal and external beauty.
- 57:57Speaker 1: But you can't start with the extra and expect big
- 58:01Speaker 1: change if you're don't address the internal. And that's what
- 58:03Speaker 1: makes you so refreshing and so innovative in your approach
- 58:08Speaker 1: versus a lot of these medical spots that are even
- 58:11Speaker 1: just you know, esthetic spots.
- 58:13Speaker 2: That don't ever even go to that.
- 58:15Speaker 1: So I want to explore this further and I want
- 58:18Speaker 1: to get into some other protocols, and I'm sure we'll
- 58:21Speaker 1: have some feedback on We'll put a lot of stuff
- 58:24Speaker 1: in the show notes that people can contact you.
- 58:27Speaker 2: So just give us a quicking on how someone can
- 58:29Speaker 2: reach you.
- 58:31Speaker 1: And also, I know you said you wanted to offer
- 58:34Speaker 1: a little gift for our viewers, So just do those
- 58:37Speaker 1: two things for us, and then we'll do us around
