- 0:00Queer Eye. Oh my God, you did not just take
- 0:03mine. That's that's good.
- 0:09I still think their name is better.
- 0:15The Backstreet Boys. The what?
- 0:18Backstreet Boys. Oh my God, I thought you said
- 0:20something. Else or backstairs boys.
- 0:23Backdoor boys. That's absolute Jesus.
- 0:43Welcome back guys. I'm keeping that in.
- 0:45I'm keeping that in. Thanks.
- 0:47Good, this is Thanks Hated at podcast episode 20.
- 0:51We've already done 20 episodes, which is unbelievable.
- 0:55I literally don't believe it. I think you're trolling me.
- 0:58What more on it's on episode 17 and I'm like yeah, anyway, so
- 1:05we're joined today by myself, Justin, our Co host Ryan and our
- 1:10Co host Amber. We are, I would just say hosts,
- 1:14not even Co host. Like, how do you even say that
- 1:17you know? Yeah, I.
- 1:19Mean how you just did. I don't I don't like Co host
- 1:21though, like we're not Co host. We are the host like so we are
- 1:27in the new studio literally again.
- 1:34So this is I think this is the fourth studio we've had.
- 1:36We were in the living room for the first couple ones.
- 1:38We were in your studio for the next couple ones.
- 1:41We were in our first bedroom studio here it for the next few
- 1:46ones. And now we're in the actual like
- 1:49arts and crafts studio, like an actual studio in a home, like to
- 1:53make art. So here we are finally, maybe
- 1:59hopefully settled in for a couple more episodes.
- 2:02I don't want to move this set up again.
- 2:04It's such a pain. Yeah, it really.
- 2:07Is so with that said, I was telling Ryan we're back here in
- 2:12the back half of the house in the addition in an actual studio
- 2:17for her Amber's candle making my candle business Pleiades
- 2:22apothecary and it's the place where she makes the candles.
- 2:27Now she's finally got enough room to do that because you
- 2:31would be surprised what an 8 oz candle needs to be made.
- 2:35It's kind of ridiculous like this, the square footage needed
- 2:39to make a candle that fits in the palm of your hand.
- 2:43It's nuts. So I was telling him, we've got
- 2:48the actual candle dressing area to my left camera, right.
- 2:53We've got our fireplace in the middle for our Fireside podcast.
- 2:57I don't know if you saw that right.
- 2:59I did. I did.
- 3:00Because it is ice cold in here, we are on the backside.
- 3:06Yeah, I'm glad that you guys took it home with you because it
- 3:09was sitting in my house for a while.
- 3:13So you guys, when you came down for that Christmas podcast, you
- 3:18guys took it back, which I'm glad because you need it.
- 3:23So what's funny is Mom has the exact same thing.
- 3:26Exactly the same thing. The same thing and we've been
- 3:30using that for like 3 months while it was cold and I was like
- 3:33oh ours, I found it I'm going to bring that right back with me
- 3:38because it is necessary dude. We've got 21 indirect and one
- 3:44direct heater in the addition living room where we normally
- 3:49stay. It's got the couch and the TV
- 3:50and all the systems and all that on the other side of this wall
- 3:54that we're actually pointed at talking into.
- 3:57But the whole back side of the house doesn't have any central
- 4:01air. So when it's cold, it is 20°.
- 4:04In this bedroom, it is. It is so cold.
- 4:09So in the summer, it's great. There's no problem.
- 4:12You open the windows and there's a great draft and then a lot of
- 4:15shade because the sun is on the other side.
- 4:16Long story short, in the cold, it is fucking cold, man.
- 4:21So with that said, I did yeah. So I did a show yesterday and I
- 4:35had to tap out. It's the first time I've ever
- 4:37tapped out of a show where I actually told the boss, hey, not
- 4:42like, hey, can I leave because it's dead.
- 4:45It I told him, hey, I'm leaving, I'm leaving right now.
- 4:48I'm already in the car. It was so cold that like in the
- 4:53movies where you see someone's breath the entire time they're
- 4:57talking and it looks like it looks like a vape cloud.
- 5:02It's that cold, dude. It was it was Wisconsin deer
- 5:06season cold. Yeah, it.
- 5:08It was raining. Fuck off, you're so brave.
- 5:13You're so brave. So I'm at this show.
- 5:17I think I lasted like 3 hours outside and it's it's probably
- 5:2039, but the reel feels like 28, which is true.
- 5:26It is. It is ice cold out there.
- 5:28It's raining and I mean good rain, not not a drizzle.
- 5:31It is raining. And the front of this building
- 5:35that I'm at, it's like a pavilion.
- 5:36So there's no wind blockage and I'm just getting blasted from
- 5:40the back. Oh.
- 5:41Yeah, getting blasted from the back.
- 5:45So it is ice cold. I lasted I think 3 hours.
- 5:49I had one of those like warming pads on my back.
- 5:52I had another like hand warmer and I've got like I've got real
- 5:55winter clothes now. I've got these dura feel
- 6:00freaking lined like slippers. And I found out my boss, it's so
- 6:07cold. My boss wears Uggs to work.
- 6:09And I'm like, OK, if he wears Uggs, I'm wearing slippers.
- 6:12Like if he's cool, I'm cool. So I got a pair of winter
- 6:16slippers. I got these massive socks.
- 6:18I got a bunch of layers on. And by the third hour I was
- 6:22actually shivering. You know, the last time I
- 6:26shivered, Ryan, look, it's kind of ridiculous.
- 6:30We had a range day in Waldo, Florida, when he got down to
- 6:35like 31, but it was sleeting and just wet.
- 6:41So you would, like, shoot the rifle a couple rounds, like like
- 6:44half a clip. You'd lay it down, you'd go back
- 6:46to the fire. Like, nobody wanted to go up to
- 6:48the line. Nobody wanted to do anything.
- 6:49It was like, this sucks, dude. Like, what are we doing here?
- 6:53We're not even hunting. We're just plinking shit.
- 6:55This sucks. But that was the last time I
- 6:58shivered, and that was like 10 years ago.
- 7:01Yeah. That's a lie.
- 7:05What else did I shiver? Recently when?
- 7:08I don't know but recently. I don't remember shivering like
- 7:12that anyway, but I forgot the intros from the last like two or
- 7:16three episodes, so I figured I'd actually say the intros this
- 7:19time. Well that's good.
- 7:20I'm glad I I forgot. Welcome back guys.
- 7:24Yeah. Episode 20.
- 7:28We're getting back into it. We're in the studio.
- 7:30New studio, Permanent studio. It better be.
- 7:33I'll quit. Quit new.
- 7:35Year new me. We'll have to do.
- 7:37Some. Wall dressings and stuff.
- 7:40Oh yeah, I need, I need sound panels.
- 7:43This, this wall we're talking into is just straight up bare
- 7:46wall. There's nothing on it.
- 7:48So it is just right. In the shelf and wrapping paper.
- 7:52I think it makes it worse. The stuff in there will
- 7:55definitely help. It's it's when you have nothing
- 8:00like no furniture, no tables, nothing in there and it's all
- 8:03just hard walls and floor and ceiling.
- 8:07That's where the worst echo is, because the.
- 8:10Just an echo chamber. Yeah, it just bounces around
- 8:13easily. Whereas if there's desks and
- 8:15tables and chairs in there, like the sound kind of gets trapped
- 8:21in certain areas. So it doesn't echo nearly as
- 8:23bad. It still will echo with all the
- 8:24hard services, but it's a lot better than having nothing in
- 8:27there. So you're.
- 8:29Speaking of, you're on the. Right track.
- 8:32Speaking of like waves transmitting, I think we talked
- 8:38about this a little while ago to where you were explaining to me
- 8:41that megabits do not mean megabytes.
- 8:43Yes, Yeah, I didn't know that. So my whole life I've succumbed
- 8:48to the broadband Internet like marketing scheme where they tell
- 8:57you you get 1000 and really the numbers are for every 100 you
- 9:03get 12. So I'm expecting 1000.
- 9:06I want a gig speed. Nope, that's not what that is.
- 9:09You're getting what, 140 or something like that?
- 9:13Megabytes, 120 megabytes, like theoretical maximum.
- 9:19And you don't even get that because that's like the
- 9:20theoretical maximum, like we, we maximize theoretically 1000.
- 9:25What is it? Bits or bytes?
- 9:26Bits, I don't remember. I think it's bits, bits.
- 9:29And then that tricks you when you buy the freaking contract
- 9:32because you're like, yeah, I want a gig speed.
- 9:33They're like, Nope, that's not a gig speed.
- 9:35Well. It is.
- 9:36It is a gig based off of their advertising and they're not
- 9:39lying to you because it's a Gigabit, not a GB, a Gigabit
- 9:46Gigabit Internet BIT not BYT. Bit.
- 9:53So. OK, so they're the other way
- 9:55around. You're not.
- 9:57They're not lying to you. You you are getting gig speeds
- 10:01but it's Gigabit which is different.
- 10:04Than bullshit. It's bullshit is what it is.
- 10:08So yeah, learning that that's what we're paying for here.
- 10:11It's it's 1000, whatever, little B, big B, don't remember, but
- 10:15that's what we're paying for here.
- 10:16And I'm starting to do speed tests like all over the house.
- 10:18And I was talking to Ryan while I was using a like an actual
- 10:21analyzer and I was like, how is it 5 feet to my right?
- 10:25I get 35 feet to my left, I get 300.
- 10:28What is this bullshit? Like I'm done with this.
- 10:31I'm so tired of this, but it seems to be holding together for
- 10:34the next last 15 minutes. So I'm happy with it so far.
- 10:37It looks good so. But other than that, I'll say,
- 10:45how was your week? I've got some news.
- 10:50Yes, I give me the. Tea.
- 10:51Big news. I got to you're.
- 10:54Pregnant. No, thank God no, I got to.
- 11:00Disgusting. I got to link up with Rufus
- 11:06Lucas. And did you say?
- 11:09Rufus. Yeah, that's what we that's what
- 11:11we call him because somebody mistakenly thought his name was
- 11:15Rufus and he thought that was hilarious.
- 11:17So we just kind of rolled with it.
- 11:19So we call him, I call him Rufus all the time.
- 11:24Yeah, I, I just like the fact that he, he rolled with it like
- 11:27it was nothing. No, I I linked up with him on
- 11:31Saturday and drove the work car up north to Daytona and handed
- 11:43the keys in and jumped in my car and drove back.
- 11:50I am no longer working there. Good.
- 11:54I. So did you have to put the
- 11:58deposit down like we talked about?
- 12:02Did I have to put the deposit down?
- 12:05For the hotel. No.
- 12:08Good. No, I because it wouldn't be
- 12:13till next week is when the The thing is.
- 12:15So I would have had to do it when I got there, but I was
- 12:18like, no, I'm done. I had a panic attack for the
- 12:23first time in forever after I got home.
- 12:27Yeah, like a, a, a can't breathe, give me a paper bag
- 12:32panic attack after I got home from hanging out with Max
- 12:37because we had a chilly night and bonfire at his place.
- 12:43So we went over there and did that and then I got home and.
- 12:47The Samoan. Yeah, I, I sat down and started
- 12:52getting into the groove of OK, so I got to line down for work
- 12:57and blah blah blah blah blah, and then full on can't breathe
- 13:02panic attack. Jesus.
- 13:04Yeah. And I was like, no, this is this
- 13:07is it. I can't.
- 13:09This is the sign that I need to end this cut ties now because
- 13:13it's it's it's not. You said you had a panic attack
- 13:17and said this is it, I need to end it.
- 13:22That's so good. So yeah, yeah, I texted him.
- 13:29I actually set my alarm, but I slept through it.
- 13:32So I, I, I slept in for like an hour or two hours later than
- 13:37what I should have left the house.
- 13:41So I, I woke up with 1000 text messages asking where I was,
- 13:45which is hilarious. Yeah.
- 13:48And so I texted him and I was like, hey, this isn't working
- 13:53for me. This.
- 13:55I'm not cut out for this job. I'm going to go ahead and bring
- 13:58the car in and kind of wash my hands of this, you know?
- 14:03I do love saying that. Good as long as they were.
- 14:07I was going to say as long as they didn't like bitch about it.
- 14:09She's had a couple bosses that like bitch about it and and run
- 14:14her around because she's leaving because they're toxic.
- 14:18I literally had a panic attack during a job because somebody
- 14:22said that they were going to threaten or they were
- 14:24threatening to sue me specifically for something I
- 14:28didn't even do. And my boss was like, why are
- 14:33you such a piece of shit? And I was like, no, I'm done.
- 14:36And. Like brought her family into.
- 14:38It no, it was got got it. Oh different different exactly
- 14:42like 3 different toxic bosses. Like that other one.
- 14:45I forgot about that one too. Yeah, yeah, they completely put
- 14:49him out of my mind. Yeah, they were real cool about
- 14:51it. Like I basically was like 1.
- 14:54My stress is off the charts. Like when when I was between
- 15:00jobs, between getting this one and my last one and I was just
- 15:06doing Uber, I was, I had very little stress.
- 15:09It's like, yeah, like I have to make my ends meet with Uber for
- 15:14the time being, but I'm not worried about it, you know, and
- 15:17right now I'm not worried about it.
- 15:19I'll find another job. I I will.
- 15:22That's, that's not a concern for me.
- 15:25But while I was there, it's it's detrimental to my health when I
- 15:29come home and I am like just all my muscles are tight and worried
- 15:34about, well, how am I going to do this whole thing tomorrow?
- 15:41How am I going to do this with the expectation to be here till,
- 15:44you know, for 12 hours? So it's like now this, this
- 15:49isn't doing it for my health. And I, I told him I was like, no
- 15:56hard feelings, like this is not you.
- 16:00This is the job itself. This is higher ups than you.
- 16:04This is the stress of it all. And I just can't, I can't do it.
- 16:07So he was real cool about it. He, he said I would, he's like,
- 16:13I thought you were a great fit for the crew and everything.
- 16:16And I was like, I like, I like the people I worked with.
- 16:18So it's not that big of a deal. And he's like, well, I would
- 16:23prefer that you do what you need to in concern with your health
- 16:28over trying to make it work and being worse off for it.
- 16:33So he was real cool about it. And and then he asked, he's
- 16:38like, do you have a ride coming? Do you need in into the
- 16:42facility? Because he was, he was the last
- 16:44one there and he was leaving to go do some other work around
- 16:48around town. So he was, he had already locked
- 16:51up, but he asked me if I needed to wait inside because he's
- 16:54like, as soon as you leave the building, it'll lock itself up.
- 16:57I was like, no, I'm going to walk down to the racetrack,
- 17:01which is right down the road. That's where I'm meeting my
- 17:04friend. So he was real cool about it
- 17:06though. So like I, I was grateful for
- 17:08that. And he was like, just so you
- 17:10know, the, the regional sales guy is probably going to call
- 17:14and ask, you know, what's up and everything.
- 17:17And he hasn't called, so I'm hoping that I can get through it
- 17:21without him calling because I don't really want to.
- 17:24Talk to you. Dude, I don't, I don't want to
- 17:29be this way at all, but this guy has short dude energy.
- 17:34I don't know if you you know what I'm talking about, but
- 17:37like. No, no, no, no.
- 17:42No, no, no. He's shorter than you to your
- 17:48shoulder. Ouch.
- 17:50So he's my height. Like top of his head is to his
- 17:55shoulder. Is his voice high?
- 17:58Like, does he actually sound like a Disney character?
- 18:03No, but when I saw him I thought that he would make a great
- 18:06dwarf. So I was going to say a dwarf.
- 18:11So I had AI, had a coworker. That's.
- 18:17I had a Co worker who is probably mid 40s early 50s don't
- 18:23know but he was 5 foot flat and I know my voice has a real
- 18:27nasally like sounds like I'm short voice like I know I I hear
- 18:34it in my own ears. This dude, man, if you didn't
- 18:37see him, it's crazy. You would be like, do not say
- 18:42the word lollipop. Like it's, it was crazy.
- 18:46Like every time I talk to him, I would, I would catch myself
- 18:49drifting into my mind because I'm like, his voice is insane.
- 18:55Yeah. I'm like, do you know what you
- 18:56sound like? Like, and he was the same way.
- 18:58He was like hands on his hips, like his knuckles on his hips,
- 19:02like bend his hands backwards like now what we're going to do
- 19:07today, but it was like what we're going to do today, like
- 19:09all the time. Dude.
- 19:10It was so funny. I couldn't I never knew.
- 19:12I have no idea what he like whatever he said ever.
- 19:16No idea. I never listened to him because
- 19:18I was every time he talked I was like, does he know what he
- 19:20sounds like? Does it bother him?
- 19:22Like he. This.
- 19:23This dude was like, I got bullied growing up so now I have
- 19:28to bully. Everybody else did.
- 19:30He say that. No, no, that's what he, that's
- 19:33the. Oh my God.
- 19:35He gave off the care and energy like I didn't get anything my
- 19:38way back when I was growing up. So I got to get it my way now.
- 19:41That was, that's the energy he gave off.
- 19:43So I'm, I'm hoping he doesn't call me because I really don't
- 19:46want to talk to him. He would be the one that I'd be
- 19:49like, you know, honestly, you gave off the wrong vibe to me.
- 19:52Like you were the worst part of this whole job.
- 19:55You harshed this whole environment.
- 19:59But. That's so funny.
- 20:02He, yeah, he during all the meetings and everything, I kind
- 20:08of had it in my mind because he would be like, we had to do like
- 20:12teams meetings and we had to have our cameras on, which is
- 20:15whatever, doesn't matter, I don't care.
- 20:18But Teams meetings and he would run these meetings and if like
- 20:27he called me out one day because I was taking notes during the
- 20:31the course, he was like teaching what he was teaching.
- 20:34So I was taking notes. So I was looking down and taking
- 20:36notes and he was like, I need you to pay attention.
- 20:38I was like, I am, I'm taking notes.
- 20:40What are you talking about intently?
- 20:42I'm yeah, I was like, I have a page full of notes probably more
- 20:47than you have, you know, like, come on, get off my back.
- 20:50But that was the type of thing he was like he one dude had done
- 20:56a picture background and I don't remember what it was.
- 21:00It was safe for work. It was mundane.
- 21:02It was like a beach or something.
- 21:03I don't know what it was, but it was it was mundane.
- 21:05It was like a landscape. And he was like, Hey, I need you
- 21:08to turn that off and either do blur or no blur.
- 21:11That's that's unacceptable. That's not appropriate for this
- 21:14blah, blah, blah. It's like, wow, that's.
- 21:16Good. That's the next day, the next
- 21:21meeting. He came in that next week.
- 21:24He had Captain America and Spider Man swinging through
- 21:28behind him. I'm like, are you kidding me?
- 21:32You have superheroes that are way more distracting than the
- 21:37beach scene that this dude had this landscape and you made a
- 21:43huge fuss about that, but that's OK for you to have?
- 21:46Oh, my gosh. But then first time I met him in
- 21:50person, he walks in and he goes, hey, you must be Ryan.
- 21:55And I turn around and I'm no kidding.
- 21:57I'm looking like as if I was looking at somebody's eye level.
- 22:00And then I go and I kind of look around the room.
- 22:04He's standing in front of me. And then I look down.
- 22:08So I completely missed him for the first part because he was I.
- 22:14I was surprised at how short he was.
- 22:17Itty bitty, baby. That's tough.
- 22:23No, that was. That's tough.
- 22:27Yeah, he, he gave off like he was this big bad dude.
- 22:31And I took one look at him. I was, I kind of laughed at him,
- 22:36to be completely honest. Like, you can't, you can't be a
- 22:40Dick like that and expect people to respect you, you know?
- 22:48That's tough. Yeah, we're we're all short
- 22:50kings. Here, except for Ryan.
- 22:54Ryan's The Freak, actually. Yeah, if you're chill and
- 22:58respectful to people and don't like double standard your way
- 23:02through life, I don't care what size you are.
- 23:05Like you're cool with me. But if you're going to act like
- 23:08that and treat people like shit, no, I'll, I'll call you out and
- 23:12you're, you're a Dick, you know? Ryan's a liar.
- 23:15A liar. He hates everybody.
- 23:17That's true. Don't let him lie to you guys.
- 23:20I hate everyone equally but I I will I will be chill with
- 23:24people. So no more of that company.
- 23:29I don't know if you want to say it now that you're not there.
- 23:32OK, I'm good. So no more of that company.
- 23:35What? What else you got coming down
- 23:36the pipe job wise? I've been applying, so I've
- 23:45actually applied to a few golf courses because I found out that
- 23:48they were hiring. So I was like, you know, yes,
- 23:51I'll, I'll do that. I'll do some golf, you know,
- 23:55work and then do an Uber. Strap right there.
- 23:59Yeah, I was like, I'm just basically give me 40 hours a
- 24:04week, give me exactly what I need to do and let me go home.
- 24:09That's that's what I'm looking for.
- 24:11I'm not, I don't want sales. I don't want to be putting in
- 24:15extra work to grind and tough it out.
- 24:18Yeah, you can make more money, but I I want to spend the grind
- 24:22and the toughing it out for my business.
- 24:24You know that I don't. Not, not.
- 24:28Put any. Really anymore, like from what
- 24:31I've seen, and this is just me going through like the workforce
- 24:33myself, like the last couple years, if you, if you work a
- 24:37steady job at 40 hours a week for a fairly good wage, 20/22 an
- 24:44hour, which is doable right now, you can make the same amount of
- 24:49money as if you were in sales or if you were a waitress.
- 24:52Like it's, it's, it's a lot less of a gig or tip economy now like
- 24:58commissioner or tips because the wages went up.
- 25:02And I understand it didn't go up across the board, but there's
- 25:05definitely a lot more opportunity now.
- 25:08And it, I mean, you're talking to me, I've been through all of
- 25:11it in the last five years. So same with Amber, She went
- 25:15with one company and she went from 18 an hour to 70 a year in
- 25:22two years. Like it's there, it's definitely
- 25:25there. You just got to find the
- 25:26companies. And I, I looked up a company
- 25:30yesterday on the way home because it was so fucking cold
- 25:34outside. I was like, all right, that's
- 25:37enough of this. So I looked up another company
- 25:40and as I'm looking, none of them even had the salary or the wages
- 25:44posted. And I'm like, oh, don't like
- 25:47that. Don't waste my time.
- 25:53Say, I know they pay well, they're a massive corporation.
- 25:55I can say I mean Schneider Electric, we used to partner
- 25:58with him at my last company before I started my own and they
- 26:03were they're massive. They're multi, multi billion
- 26:05dollar company. They're huge.
- 26:07They're one of the biggest names in like commercial and partial
- 26:12residential electrical controls and communications.
- 26:15Like they're, they're enormous. So I know they pay well, but not
- 26:19listing it, don't like that, don't like that at all.
- 26:22Like don't know who made that decision, but it was a bad one.
- 26:26Yeah, I'll, I'll skip over those jobs very quickly.
- 26:30Otherwise, you're going to get, so you're going to get lambasted
- 26:33by by the request that I make. It's bullshit.
- 26:39They're like, so what's your, what's your rate?
- 26:41What are you looking for? And I'm like, well, what are you
- 26:42paying? They're like, well, we're paying
- 26:44market. And I'm like, what's market?
- 26:45And they're like, well, it's, it's, it's cognitive of the
- 26:48area. And I was like, what's the
- 26:49market rate in the area? And they give me another and I'm
- 26:52like, stop fucking with me. Just what are you paying?
- 26:55Like, don't pay me. Don't tell me anybody else?
- 26:58Yeah. 250 a year. Yeah.
- 27:02And that's that's what I told. That's my company that I worked
- 27:04for after working for myself. That's what I told my last
- 27:08company I work for. They were like, what are you
- 27:10looking to get? I was like, well, I was making
- 27:1218 and my last one, so I'll probably do like 22 this time.
- 27:14And they both looked at me like I was crazy.
- 27:16And I joked and I went, no, I'm fucking around.
- 27:18It's not like that. I saved the interview.
- 27:21But yeah, at that moment I was like, ah, OK, I'm not in Florida
- 27:25anymore. People don't do that here, man.
- 27:28And they did not like me joking in the in the process.
- 27:30Like my first couple of days, the whole company didn't
- 27:33understand. They were like, why are you?
- 27:35Why are you being like, why are you being bubbly and shit?
- 27:39Like we're at work, nobody wants to be here.
- 27:41And I'm like, hey, I have to be here.
- 27:43How about we have a little jest before we all do our job?
- 27:46How about that? By the time I left, everybody
- 27:48got it. It was great.
- 27:50Everybody. By the time I left, I think I've
- 27:52said this on the last episode before, it was everybody had a
- 27:54great time with me. And when I left, it was like,
- 27:57no, don't go. But So after this one, what are
- 28:03you looking? What are you looking to get
- 28:07into? I'm I'm just looking for the
- 28:14least amount of stress I can get something that I can do a do a
- 28:21task and then clock out and not take it.
- 28:25Home so at the golf course. Golf course, Yeah.
- 28:27What's the task? Fucking anything, really.
- 28:32Like, oh, OK, there's not a specific like I want to drive
- 28:34the car. No, no, like there's, there's
- 28:37like I, I applied to Victoria Hills and I think what was
- 28:45theirs, theirs I think was starter retail and finisher or
- 28:55something like that. I don't remember that that was
- 28:57like the three jobs involved in that position.
- 29:02Finish your huh? You get to finish them.
- 29:04Finish your. Huh.
- 29:05I hate you guys so much collecting all the golf carts at
- 29:11the end and getting it prepped for the next groups to come in.
- 29:16So it's like you know that the other one I applied was in
- 29:21Winter Springs. It was I think it was just turf
- 29:27maintenance guy or something like that.
- 29:30So just making sure the watering system works, making sure the
- 29:35the fairways are up, Captain, you know, fixing that, fixing
- 29:38divots and you know that that whole thing you.
- 29:43Want to be a greenskeeper? Greenskeeper would be Yeah, I
- 29:46I'll. Buddy, that's my jam, Yeah.
- 29:49I know, I know I could. I thought about it.
- 29:52I just, but I thought about it. That's the thing like, and part
- 29:56of the reason is entirely selfish of me wanting to work at
- 30:00a Golf Club. Because cheap golf baby cheap.
- 30:05Yeah, we know. We know did.
- 30:07You did you apply to the one that you go to that you golf at?
- 30:14So you're going to be a finisher at that place and the only thing
- 30:18that they're going to give you is that chair that you told me
- 30:22about. No, that's a.
- 30:24That's a different. One there's a finish your chair.
- 30:27There's so that one is the Deltona Club.
- 30:31I did not apply to that one because they don't have any
- 30:34positions open, but they have a cock chair in the men's
- 30:38restroom. Love.
- 30:40It God, that's good. It's.
- 30:43It's literally on the other side of the bathroom.
- 30:47It's a one person bathroom. The the toilet is there in the
- 30:51corner and it's facing the other the wall that you like walk into
- 30:56and there's just a chair, just a comfy looking chair sitting
- 31:02there set up directly facing the toilet.
- 31:05So it's like what else is? It it's a.
- 31:10You don't need anything else but this chair.
- 31:14You sit in the bathroom and you finish them.
- 31:17Here's your mints. You know what, that's what I
- 31:19should do is apply to the barn and be a a bathroom attendant.
- 31:25At the barn. Yeah, they got bathroom
- 31:27attendants at the barn, did you not know?
- 31:29That that's disgusting. They got mints.
- 31:33And I think I went to the barn 12 years ago.
- 31:35The guys will like pull, pull out the paper towels for you,
- 31:40turn on the water and like, do you want some Cologne?
- 31:43They've got a whole thing of Cologne.
- 31:45They got mints and they got the whole they.
- 31:47Smell like dead deer. That's good.
- 31:51It smells like vomit. So let me tell you all, for
- 31:54those of you just listening, The Barn is the worst bar in Sanford
- 32:01like. Wouldn't say the worst.
- 32:03I would rather go to joysticks and smell that smell all night
- 32:08long then spend one night in the fucking barn man.
- 32:13Right. We never went.
- 32:15It's the worst bar. Podcast from the Barn.
- 32:20Oh my God. It's funny because.
- 32:22Those are my people, but they're like the opposite of me, like.
- 32:25They're not your people, they're your aesthetic.
- 32:27They're my aesthetic, that's true.
- 32:29Whatever. Yeah.
- 32:30So they're, they're as redneck as it comes, but they are
- 32:34absolute degenerates, everyone of them.
- 32:37The only time I went to the barn, we all, all 12 of us that
- 32:40went, we became degenerates from the barn because of it.
- 32:43Like when we got in, we were fine.
- 32:45By the time we left, we almost had a brawl like 12 on 15 brawl
- 32:50with like a Marine in the middle.
- 32:51He's having like flashbacks of Iraq.
- 32:53I swear to God, he was on our side.
- 32:55Thank God. Is that Sansa son?
- 32:58Yeah, that was at the barn. That was at the barn.
- 33:01The pool thing, yes. I don't know.
- 33:03I was at the barn. Yeah, I thought that was at
- 33:05Froggers. No, definitely not.
- 33:07So, Cowboys. No, we went to the barn Cowboys.
- 33:12I liked. Cowboys.
- 33:13The only reason I like Cowboys is because we could get in when
- 33:15we were still in high school and we didn't have to have a fake
- 33:17ID. They'd let like 15 year olds in.
- 33:20That was Mad Hatter. That one I never.
- 33:23I think I went there once. Mad Hatter Yeah, we went there.
- 33:27That's how we got a mirror in. That was Mad Hatter, Yeah.
- 33:30Oh well then that was my one time.
- 33:33No, you went like 3 times, yeah. Yeah, I don't remember.
- 33:37I'll be Liddy, probably. So Speaking of Liddy, I am.
- 33:49Gay. I'm just kidding.
- 33:51Gay. Got him.
- 33:56Get rested, bitch. 31 Is there 30 or 31 days in December?
- 34:00In December 31, 3131, so. Almost a month.
- 34:11Sorry, I'm counting on my fingers.
- 34:15I am I think. 24. 24 days sober. Hell yeah, dude.
- 34:22So I'm back on the wagon again, back on the wack.
- 34:25I just smite the shit out of the mic.
- 34:28So I think, I think it's 24 days.
- 34:31I I noticed when I started the podcast, Ryan, I said I'm
- 34:34getting a beer so you can see it.
- 34:37Big old blue NA right on the front.
- 34:40Hell yeah. So I've been drinking Nas for
- 34:43like a month and it's helping a lot.
- 34:45Nice. Good to hear, I'm so happy for
- 34:48you. So I'm not drinking anymore at
- 34:51all, not even a little bit. Not a drop.
- 34:54So that's, that's my, I don't know if it's my New Year's
- 34:58resolution or not, but it's definitely my new life.
- 35:02Hate it, hate it so much. Hey, it's.
- 35:07Do you want to talk about? Why?
- 35:09No, we don't have to talk about. Unless you want to.
- 35:11You're you're the host. You talk about what?
- 35:14You want. You're a host.
- 35:17You did it now. Now you got to talk about it.
- 35:19Yeah. That's your story.
- 35:23Oh my goodness, we just had a big old blowout December 26th
- 35:29and the usual shit happens when you're drinking and I drank way
- 35:32too much and now I'm not going to drink anymore, so there's
- 35:35that. So.
- 35:37The reason why I don't want to talk about it is because it
- 35:40ended with me with a busted hand.
- 35:44Both hands. Not by me.
- 35:46Two scraped up elbows, abrasion on my neck and my foot is all
- 35:53messed up again. So yeah.
- 35:57And I didn't even really drink that much that night either.
- 36:01She got murked and. It wasn't my fault, was it my
- 36:03idea? Nothing.
- 36:05Didn't say anything, didn't do anything.
- 36:08Everybody can go fuck themselves.
- 36:09And unfortunately because I was so drunk, like literally black
- 36:12out drunk like 3 hours before this happened, I was no help.
- 36:16So that'll never happen again. Yeah, that's what kind of killed
- 36:19me was I'm like, oh shit, what happened to you?
- 36:21She's like, I got, I got tore up and I'm like, where was I?
- 36:26She was, you were like over there doing something.
- 36:28It's like, ah, great, fantastic. We started out with pina colada
- 36:33liqueur and then grew. Up giant glass pineapple.
- 36:38Yeah, and brother, it was awesome.
- 36:42And then I had a blueberry vodka miniature like throughout the
- 36:49night. And the strawberry?
- 36:53What is it? The white chocolate strawberry
- 36:55moonshine, little miniature. And then he had.
- 37:00So pina colada liqueur what now? Blue what?
- 37:03Blueberry vodka. Blueberry.
- 37:04Vodka, then we. Switched to no, that was that
- 37:07was me. Yeah, then we switched to
- 37:09moonshine, is what you just said.
- 37:10You didn't switch to moonshine, so that's.
- 37:12Three right there. Throughout the night.
- 37:15And then his aunt gave me a pickle beer.
- 37:21That was weird, disgusting. And then I found a blueberry
- 37:26white ale that tastes really good that I was also drinking
- 37:30throughout the night. And then he wanted to continue
- 37:35drinking. Found a bucket of fireball on
- 37:41top of drinking. Yep, I forgot about that.
- 37:43Other types of whiskey and then he would drop his shot glass and
- 37:49then you did something and like blew it out and then like
- 37:55continued drinking with like the dirt still.
- 37:58Yeah, that sounds like me. And I was like, cool, we're
- 38:01gonna have a great night. And we definitely didn't.
- 38:06So for the listeners, I'm deeply alcoholic.
- 38:10I say I can laugh about it because thank God I didn't take
- 38:13a life or take my own. And I got to the other side and
- 38:17it snuck up on me. It really didn't, but it snuck
- 38:20up on me. Beginning of 2025, I think we
- 38:24were barely drinking because I tried to get sober two years
- 38:29before that. And I.
- 38:31Think Ryan, you were there for that.
- 38:34I think I went like 2 years without going back to hard
- 38:38liquor or or really strong whiskey or anything like that.
- 38:42It was always beer, it was always something mild.
- 38:44It was always a little thing. I.
- 38:45Like watered down wine, which it sounds weird but.
- 38:49Watered down wine is the. Best it's really good we got.
- 38:51To stop talking about this. So.
- 38:53Oh my God, I'm brilliant. Yeah.
- 38:58So. I think for two years I didn't
- 39:03black out for two years, not once.
- 39:06So I I was doing great, I was doing good.
- 39:10And then last year we were doing this and doing that and I still
- 39:15don't think I ever blacked out last year.
- 39:17I can't remember though. I can't remember a specific
- 39:20instance of that at all, but I do know like through the year
- 39:24now looking back, you don't realize it because it's gradual.
- 39:27But now looking back, it was like, alright, we'll drink like
- 39:291 beer. We'll drink like one glass of
- 39:31wine, but like a week. And then it turned into we'll
- 39:35have one beer, one glass of wine couple days a week.
- 39:37And then we'll have one beer, one glass of wine every night.
- 39:41And then we'll have 3 glasses of wine and then we'll finish a
- 39:43bottle and then we'll have a six pack like, and it just, it just
- 39:47spirals out. And by the end of the year, of
- 39:50course, the last, the literally the last day of our vacation,
- 39:54seeing everybody in Florida, our whole family, all of our
- 39:58friends, everything, the very last night.
- 40:01It went ham and there was fireball and there was whiskey
- 40:04and there was beer and I just drank everything I drank
- 40:07everything I'd get my hands on. And by midnight I was.
- 40:10I blacked out. Let me also explain that the
- 40:14bucket of fireball was technically not his to drink.
- 40:19It was a gift for one of his family members.
- 40:22Yep, and when I ran out of who knows what, I just went oh wait,
- 40:27we do have more. It's in there.
- 40:29I'll go get it. Yeah, what a piece of shit.
- 40:32So thankfully, thankfully, I am 24 days, I think doesn't matter
- 40:39because it's just not going to matter anymore.
- 40:42I'm just not going to drink anymore at all ever, hopefully,
- 40:45hopefully ever again. So.
- 40:47Well, when you. Hooray to me.
- 40:49When you guys come down here now. 25.
- 40:51There will be a bunch of NA beers in the fridge I'll find.
- 40:57Please, my good Sir. And if there's any whiskey left
- 41:02that he's hidden somewhere in your house, I just need you to
- 41:07drink it or pour it out. Because that was another thing
- 41:09that he had mentioned. He was like, I literally have
- 41:13whiskey apparently just like stashed at other people's
- 41:17houses. So there was something, I think
- 41:21there was something stashed at my mom's house because my mom
- 41:23doesn't drink and she lives with the kids and obviously they
- 41:26don't drink. And then she, I think, bought
- 41:29you eggnog for it or something like that.
- 41:33And then we went to your house. And then I think there was
- 41:36something still left at Zack's house or your aunt's house.
- 41:41Yeah, he was just like everywhere I go there's liquors
- 41:46like just stash for me. Because nobody ever has liquor
- 41:49or my liquor. So I bring it and then I leave
- 41:51it there for me. He.
- 41:53Was like not good. There's plastic bottle whiskey
- 41:57in my freezer right now. Yeah, get rid of it.
- 42:00God, get rid of it. Yeah, it'll be dumped.
- 42:04I haven't touched it. It'll be dumped.
- 42:09That's the icky. That's the bad part.
- 42:12I wasn't even like, I wasn't even like a connoisseur.
- 42:14I wasn't even like a a sommelier of whiskey.
- 42:17I was just like, I'll drink literal gent fuel and I'm happy,
- 42:21thank you. I'll drink the stuff that's like
- 42:23that sticks in the bar mats. If it's whiskey in it, just give
- 42:27it to me. Yep, just slide it across the
- 42:29bar into a glass. See, and I'm the exact opposite.
- 42:33I'm I'm one where it's like, give me one, give me a taster,
- 42:36give me two. I'm good, I'm fantastic.
- 42:39I wish. But no, we'll we'll make sure
- 42:45that we have NA beers in the home and I will sit there and
- 42:49drink those with you. You.
- 42:52I say you can drink. I'm not going to tell anybody
- 42:53else they can't drink around me. I'm a grown fucking man who can
- 42:56control himself. I think I understand that, but
- 43:00I'm, I'm the type of person where I don't, I don't feel the
- 43:03need to drink, you know, hardly. Ever, Jake goes.
- 43:07I fucking wish. Yeah, so.
- 43:10So if, if we're having, I would rather just chill like the, the
- 43:14social part of it for me is, is more important.
- 43:18So just like it doesn't if it's seltzer, because I, I'll do that
- 43:23at, at West End because they have the liquid death there.
- 43:27So I'll sit there and drink liquid Death while everybody
- 43:30else is drinking liquor and whiskey and you know, whatever.
- 43:33And I'll, I'll sit there and be happy completely sober because
- 43:39it's more of the social aspect of it than the actual drinking
- 43:41part of it for me. So I'll drink the and.
- 43:44It gets. With you the whole night and be
- 43:46perfectly happy. Good, I'm glad someone can.
- 43:53Because it doesn't. It doesn't matter.
- 43:54It's whatever mine. Is definitely not a social.
- 43:58It is a disease. I get it.
- 44:02But with that said, because I'm now getting better, I started a
- 44:11garden like I wanted to do at your place.
- 44:13It's so cute. I'll take a picture and we can
- 44:17use it for the thumbnail. It's so cute.
- 44:20So because it's 20 fucking degrees here, there's no garden
- 44:25outside. It's all, they're all seedlings.
- 44:27I started seedlings indoors. I don't think I've ever done
- 44:29that and. Not indoors.
- 44:32Not indoors and they've got their little grow light and
- 44:34they've got their little hutches where they keep all their
- 44:36moisture and all that. So I was worried for like 6 days
- 44:40because a lot of them didn't do anything.
- 44:44They just didn't do anything. It was just dirt.
- 44:46I was just looking at dirt. Happened now type of person
- 44:49because you were freaking out two days after we laid the seed
- 44:52at my on the ground I was. I was freaking out for a month.
- 44:55He's freaking out about the seedlings here.
- 44:58Like he had just done it. And then like I think two or
- 45:02three days later, he bought the light and only the broccoli was
- 45:06growing and he goes, they're all they're all dead.
- 45:09They're not going to grow. They're not doing anything.
- 45:11And I'm like, baby, you just started it.
- 45:14Like he goes, no, it's been a week.
- 45:16I was like no it has it I need and now everything.
- 45:20Gratification. Yeah.
- 45:22So I was watching like a million YouTube videos and a million
- 45:27channels and reddits and AIS and all of that shit.
- 45:33And from what I can tell, you're supposed to have a tray of
- 45:37seedlings plants growing like 2 inches tall in seven days.
- 45:43And nothing that I've seen has been not that.
- 45:47So when none of my shit was growing, I'm like, Oh my God, I
- 45:51fucked this up. Nothing, literally nothing grew.
- 45:53I'm like, ah, you. Also got to take in the fact
- 45:56that like what, when are they planting these things?
- 46:01I know that they're indoors and everything like that, but when
- 46:04are they planting it? How cold is it inside of their
- 46:07house? And like what is the temperature
- 46:09gauge of like everything? So with us, it's it's chilly in
- 46:14the house. It's 65 all the time.
- 46:16Like that's the Max, Like that's what the heat goes to.
- 46:18Probably no humidity in that house.
- 46:23So. Probably not.
- 46:25When the heater is running, no, there is no humid.
- 46:29I think this is going to go over the heads of a lot of people.
- 46:33There's a few electricians out there that know what I'm talking
- 46:35about. It is a 60 kilowatt electric
- 46:39heater. Exactly.
- 46:43That's the the, that's what I thought I'd get back.
- 46:45Yeah. So I I can't even explain this
- 46:49dude. It is.
- 46:49It's the almost 3/4 of the load of a whole house is the the
- 46:58energy that's going into this thing.
- 46:59It is a crazy heater, but apparently you need it up here
- 47:03because it fucking snows. So yeah, that thing, dude, when
- 47:06that thing's cooking, it is like, it's insane dehydrated in
- 47:10here. So four of my little babies have
- 47:15covers where they have like a humidity Dome and four of them
- 47:18don't. The ones that had the domes
- 47:20perfectly fine, all of them growing, all of them look great.
- 47:23The ones that don't I have like 3 out of like no shit like 48.
- 47:27The ones that are covered are green beans, cucumbers and
- 47:32broccoli, and then you got carrots that are not covered.
- 47:37They're covered now. Well, yeah, I.
- 47:40Realize hey, you really need to cover.
- 47:41It's 100% the. Humidity.
- 47:43Yeah, that makes a huge difference.
- 47:45I just, I didn't understand that so and I also didn't understand
- 47:49heaters because I don't use them.
- 47:50I don't know what that is. So.
- 47:54Now that I have a cover on the big ones too, hopefully those do
- 47:57something. Hopefully I didn't kill them
- 47:59already. Two or three days I'll be OK.
- 48:04So now I got to wait three months just to harness one
- 48:07freaking carat. It's pissing me off already.
- 48:11I'm going to be mad for three months.
- 48:13I forgot to say it in the beginning of the podcast, Happy
- 48:16Martin Luther King junior day. MLK Day.
- 48:19MLK Day. My bad.
- 48:21I we don't get a day off if we worked.
- 48:25Well, I I streamed for seven hours today.
- 48:30Dang. I wasn't planning on doing that.
- 48:33I was planning on like four or five at most and I just kept
- 48:37going and then I was like, Oh no, it's very close to time and
- 48:40I need to start. Setting up.
- 48:42So I. Go real quick but and where can
- 48:46they watch your stream? Twitch.tv/brownie bits under
- 48:51Score Gaming. You guys got all that?
- 48:55I'll post it in the in the comments below and the links
- 49:00I'll. Also do another shameless plug
- 49:02because it's hard Pleiades apothecary.
- 49:07PL. post the. Links.
- 49:10PLEIADES Apothecary. I'm assuming it's on her TikTok.
- 49:18No, I need to start posting things.
- 49:21Yeah. Yeah.
- 49:24I say I've got all our our goal boards that we had at your house
- 49:27that's still here to make the social media pages and the Tik
- 49:29Toks and all that good jazz. I just have a tik.
- 49:32T.O.K I have a TikTok and Instagram and Facebook.
- 49:35I haven't posted anything on that.
- 49:37Yeah, I think one of the goals for 2025 was like, update it.
- 49:41Yeah. Because I still need to do mine
- 49:43too. So updating.
- 49:45With that said, I know I've said it like 10 times.
- 49:49But with that said, I have a garden now.
- 49:51Or at least I have seedlings to put in a garden and I might have
- 49:55food. That's awesome.
- 49:59That's that's. Exciting on a day might have
- 50:02food. Might have food depending on the
- 50:04day. Well, I've got something for you
- 50:07guys. Now is the time of the show that
- 50:10I got something for you, and this is going to be food for
- 50:12your soul. So I'm going to post something
- 50:14in the Reacts links channel of the Discord here.
- 50:18So I need you guys to pull that up so you can see it.
- 50:22This is a cover band. This is a real band.
- 50:26This is a cover band. I need you to name this band in
- 50:31your own way, and then I will tell you what their actual name
- 50:34is. OK?
- 50:34Are you ready for this? Where is it at?
- 50:38In reacts links you should see the notification.
- 50:41Oh man, look at them, look at them.
- 50:46And I will post this hopefully in the show notes.
- 50:50If I can get this set up by this episode I should be able to
- 50:52though. All right, it's a government,
- 50:56but I got to, I got to, I got, I just got to figure out what the
- 51:00name of the band is. Hang on.
- 51:13Queer Eye. Oh my God, you did not just take
- 51:16mine. That's that's good.
- 51:22I still think their name is better.
- 51:25So. The Backstreet Boys.
- 51:30The what? Backstreet Boys.
- 51:32Oh my God, I thought you said something.
- 51:34Else or backstairs boys. Backdoor boys.
- 51:38That's absolute Jesus. No.
- 51:41So they are going. They are.
- 51:44Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, don't
- 51:46say. Looking at this picture, I'm.
- 51:54I'm coming up with like the mighty Mighty Bosstones.
- 52:05So they are a cover band for a classic metal group?
- 52:10Classic rock group. By the name I love.
- 52:15Them the the group that they're cover mostly covering is ACDC.
- 52:21Their actual band name is Gay CDC.
- 52:25Oh my God, that's so good. It's so good and.
- 52:31It's incredible. So I need you guys to look these
- 52:34guys up because they're actually fantastic.
- 52:36I, I listen to a little bit because I saw this picture, not
- 52:40this particular one I'm showing you guys, but I saw a picture of
- 52:43them online and I was like, there's no freaking way this is
- 52:46real. No way.
- 52:48And I looked it up and it's 100% real and it's awesome.
- 52:51So I had to share that with you guys because I know you would
- 52:54appreciate it. Plus one more thing.
- 52:57What was it again? Gay CDC visit and reacts again.
- 53:04Yeah. Oh, you prick, you absolute
- 53:12prick. Oh man, got him good stuff.
- 53:17I sent that didn't you just. Bat wing me over discord, yes.
- 53:26But no Gacy. DC's incredible.
- 53:29They're fantastic. Awesome name, incredible name,
- 53:35and incredible theming that they've got going on there.
- 53:41I love them. Real big queers, but it's REEL
- 53:45like real big fish. Yes, yes, that's good.
- 53:48That's awesome. Yes.
- 53:50Oh man, I I just had to share that with you guys because I, I
- 53:55thought it was, I thought it was awesome.
- 53:58It's just I saw the name. ACDC.
- 54:01And I was like, oh, this is incredible, incredible work.
- 54:06I'm upset. I'm upset.
- 54:13I was. I didn't know you were trying to
- 54:15look up Queer Eyes I. Was looking up Scott bands.
- 54:18No, I'm saying that you said I took yours.
- 54:21Oh yeah, I was, I was. I had Queer Eye immediately.
- 54:24And then I was like, what's a ska band that works with Queer
- 54:26Eye? I cannot believe you said that.
- 54:30I couldn't remember Queer Eyes though.
- 54:32I was like, what's the Fab 5 or something like that?
- 54:35And then it like immediately clicked into my brain.
- 54:38But Queer Eyes only has four guys.
- 54:42I didn't know that. Either, I think.
- 54:45Pretty sure it's only four guys. If you go into the pop punk era,
- 54:51it would be oh. No, it's five guys.
- 54:53Sorry, you snorted. That's.
- 54:59So good. Speaking of butts, no, I have a
- 55:05recipe. Not really a recipe, but a
- 55:07recipe for you. So we went to the local grocery
- 55:13and we found a 10 LB pork butt for $10.
- 55:16Hell yeah. It was supposed to be like 25
- 55:19and then they were like we got to get out of this, we got to
- 55:21move it. So we took it and we put a 10 LB
- 55:26pork butt in a crock pot for like 8 hours on high it.
- 55:29Was delicious. When we got home it was boiling
- 55:32in the crock pot so it's phenomenal.
- 55:35I've had it for like 3 meals now.
- 55:37I will crock pot my meat nice. Got them.
- 55:45I will crock pot my meat forever now over smoking it.
- 55:49I've done both. I'll crock pot it every time.
- 55:52But I hate the crock pot. I do.
- 55:56He hates when I cook things in the crock pot.
- 55:59I'm like it's easy. Why?
- 56:01Why do I hate it though? I don't know.
- 56:03You don't know Aww you're not going to tell him?
- 56:09No idea what you're talking about.
- 56:11She'll leave it cooking for like 4 days.
- 56:13Oh yeah. And.
- 56:15I'm positive that's Botulism. I thought that's when you go
- 56:20behind somebody and. What, what, what Botulism when
- 56:29you go behind that's so good. No.
- 56:32Very good. Botulism.
- 56:34Is that country in Europe? Oh.
- 56:40You're so scared, Bosnia. Who cares?
- 56:44The Stan that's. So good.
- 56:48Yeah, we did a crock pot pork butt mustard rub, the regular
- 56:55like a crackly mustard that you put with corned beef and a bunch
- 56:59of other fixings. So good.
- 57:02Bunch of other fixings. It's phenomenal, Dude.
- 57:04You get a whole, a whole baking tray of pulled pork that's been
- 57:09crock potted. It's literally cooked and on the
- 57:11inside it's like, I kid you not, it looks like a smoke ring.
- 57:14I'll take a picture. It's crazy.
- 57:16It looks amazing. It tastes phenomenal.
- 57:18I've had it like 3 meals in a row.
- 57:19It's it's. And she made this amazing pasta
- 57:23salad. What's that?
- 57:26I said it's the slow cooking that makes the difference.
- 57:29It's so good. You cook it.
- 57:31Slow it, you said. Makes it more tender.
- 57:33And she said something about pasta salad.
- 57:38Mom made an amazing pasta salad. That's right, it's like this.
- 57:41Shells, bacon, chips and ranch or something.
- 57:46It's it's unreal dude. It's a perfect side to this.
- 57:49Like just just straight up pork butt.
- 57:51It's awesome. It's one of those like it comes
- 57:54in a box kind of situation and then you just kind of make it.
- 58:00I made a really good pickle pasta salad the other day.
- 58:04Oh my God, it's so good. It's got like Colby Jack cubes
- 58:07in it. Oh my.
- 58:08God and Pickles and pasta, sour cream and mayonnaise.
- 58:14I sent you one video talking about pickle something and now
- 58:20my feed is absolutely inundated with pickle recipes.
- 58:24I hate it. I hate it so much.
- 58:27You're welcome. That's why I never send or watch
- 58:30videos. I deleted my TikTok not.
- 58:34Really. Oh hell yeah.
- 58:36I got rid of my TikTok completely.
- 58:38I, I got rid of everything that has to do with keys because I
- 58:40don't do it anymore. I don't have a business anymore.
- 58:42It's dissolved. My, my, my LLC is dissolved.
- 58:46So I don't don't do it anymore. So I don't need any of that
- 58:48stuff. So I got rid of it.
- 58:49And then I was like, I'm not about to make a new TikTok
- 58:52personally, it's just gone. Just delete it off my phone.
- 58:56I'm like, I'm not going back. I can't go back.
- 58:58It'll take up, you know, 10 hours of my day again.
- 59:01You can still watch Tik Toks without having a TikTok.
- 59:05By the way, I didn't know that I'm not going to try.
- 59:07I don't want it. I don't have any.
- 59:10I don't have any social media on my phone besides Facebook and I
- 59:13got rid of the keys page on my Facebook.
- 59:15Did you? I think so, but I I still use
- 59:19Facebook for the marketplace. I don't use it for anything
- 59:21else. I try, I try my best.
- 59:25Awesome. So sorry, Jesus Christ.
- 59:30I open up my phone and I have like with iPhones, they have
- 59:34like a a health app and I have like my period connected to it.
- 59:40But on it it says fertile window.
- 59:42Your fertile window may start in three days.
- 59:45Disgusting. Fertile Myrtle.
- 59:50What that Dang do? What that Dang what that Dang
- 59:53do? Oh my God.
- 59:54Disgusting So. No, it's still there.
- 59:57Got rid of the TikTok. I do have it.
- 1:00:00OK, I got to get rid of that one too, so.
- 1:00:03I'm only using it for marketplace and I get sucked
- 1:00:05into the videos every now and again watching like like
- 1:00:08planting and stuff because they do have some good pages on
- 1:00:11Facebook for like zone 8A, which is or 8B is where we're at on
- 1:00:16the frost scale frost, whatever. But I try to stay off the one
- 1:00:21that I'm I still have full on. I need to get rid of the keys
- 1:00:25page on that too, but it's Twitter.
- 1:00:27I'm on Twitter 9 hours a day I can't get away from it.
- 1:00:32It's so good dude. When they grab Maduro I I was
- 1:00:36like scroll scroll scroll scroll scroll I I read 50,000 posts
- 1:00:41about it. So as, as we're coming up to the
- 1:00:48time to wrap up this episode, I do want to say that I've already
- 1:00:53gotten a for sure, yes, from two people on being on the show.
- 1:00:59So we'll have some guests at some point here in the near
- 1:01:02future. Once I get this, this area kind
- 1:01:06of figured out and how I'm going to, you know, do the, the camera
- 1:01:13and everything and, and make it work for my setup.
- 1:01:18And then we'll have those two on and I've got another person that
- 1:01:24I need to contact to make sure that he's still down, but we
- 1:01:29might have some some additional guests coming on.
- 1:01:32Very. Soon only took us 20 episodes.
- 1:01:39Well, we we had a guest once. We had to scrap the episode.
- 1:01:41I'm going to I'm going to put that out there.
- 1:01:43We have scrapped 1 episode before.
- 1:01:45It was unusable. Yeah, but we were so drunk, all
- 1:01:50of us. Were we?
- 1:01:53Yeah, we did it after the bar. I wasn't you guys.
- 1:01:56You guys slid in hot it. Was hot.
- 1:02:00I was like, Ryan, we're back. I was like, do an episode.
- 1:02:05You were Justin, you were like, we have to do an episode, we
- 1:02:09have to do an episode. And Amber was like, OK, let's do
- 1:02:12an episode. Is that?
- 1:02:14What she sounds like that's all he hears.
- 1:02:19Probably. That's that's exactly what it
- 1:02:21was like. And then it was a whole hell of
- 1:02:24a mess. That was right after the Pope
- 1:02:28got elected. USA.
- 1:02:32USA. Yes.
- 1:02:34That's all I remember that night episode.
- 1:02:37Jesus Christ. Oh man, it was a lot of.
- 1:02:41Oh my God y'all are annoying how?
- 1:02:43Much time we got left. I mean, we can go for as long as
- 1:02:46we want, but we're we're at the one hour mark right now.
- 1:02:52OK, I'll say it quick. Go to YouTube.
- 1:02:54Everybody listening Go to YouTube, look up Chad Caruso CR
- 1:02:58Nope. C.
- 1:03:01Nope. And Jesus Christ, it's a Chad
- 1:03:06Caruso Caruso, Chad Caruso documentary.
- 1:03:14It is a documentary about someone who there's so many
- 1:03:20things that it what it is. But the main point of it is, is
- 1:03:26somebody trying to raise money for a youth program for kids to
- 1:03:32have a way to find passion instead of just becoming zombies
- 1:03:38and getting into drugs and drinks and all that good jazz.
- 1:03:42I think at the time of the documentary, he was like 12
- 1:03:44years sober and he was losing his mind at home.
- 1:03:48So professional skateboarder and his youth retired.
- 1:03:53Obviously by this point, he says I'm going to be the first person
- 1:03:59to skateboard across the United States from coast to coast
- 1:04:05alone, with no support vehicle and no lodging.
- 1:04:10That's crazy. I'm going to take a backpack
- 1:04:13that has a camelback, a skateboard, not a long board.
- 1:04:17This is not a modified thing. This is a skateboard with
- 1:04:20regular trucks and, and I think a couple of like ultra barren
- 1:04:24wheels. And he rode it from Venice Beach
- 1:04:28in California to Virginia Beach in 57 days.
- 1:04:34That's crazy. He did 50 miles a day.
- 1:04:41So I think the sponsor, that's the thing, He practiced for like
- 1:04:493 months or trained really. He trained for like 3 months and
- 1:04:53he would do 50 miles up and down the local spots and just to see
- 1:04:59that he could do it. And he would do the steepest
- 1:05:04hill in his area where he was at to practice like going up and
- 1:05:10down, traversing like went through the Appalachians and
- 1:05:13everything on a skateboard. And it is absolutely one of my
- 1:05:19favorite YouTube videos of all time.
- 1:05:20I think it I think it probably is one of my favourites, like
- 1:05:23top three. So if you if you hear it, if
- 1:05:26you're listening Chad Caruso, Caruso, go watch it period.
- 1:05:33I'll plug it. I don't care.
- 1:05:34Go watch it. First person to do it alone.
- 1:05:38No, no support, no nothing. No lodgings.
- 1:05:40Took a backpack and took off. Dude by the time he got here by
- 1:05:43the way, didn't change board, wheels, bearings, nothing.
- 1:05:49It lasted 3025 miles. Damn.
- 1:05:55Currently Tony Hawk has the board in his personal museum for
- 1:06:01skateboarding memorabilia. I actually think Tony Hawk just
- 1:06:05and just auctioned it off for charity for like children's
- 1:06:09charity or he kept it for himself, but he auctioned off
- 1:06:15the board that he did the 900 on at the 2000 X Games.
- 1:06:22That's awesome. What a legend.
- 1:06:24What an absolute Chad. Chad Caruso.
- 1:06:26Awesome legend. That's all I got.
- 1:06:31If I I'll I'll put that in the in the description as well for
- 1:06:37that in the show notes. It's so good.
- 1:06:47No, no. She's been having technical
- 1:06:53difficulties this whole time. Yeah, that's why I've been
- 1:06:56quiet. Sorry all.
- 1:06:58Yeah, it's it's the phone. We got to change it anyway.
- 1:07:00I. Fucking hated it.
