Justin Lebron, Alabama’s standout shortstop, is poised to become the first player with ties to Alabama high school or college baseball to be drafted this year, projected anywhere from eighth to twenty-fifth overall. With elite stats—batting .313, 45 homers, 69 steals—he’s one of nine Alabama-connected players at the MLB Draft Combine. Joining him on Day 1 are Hoover’s Will Adams and Oxford’s Rocco Maniscalco, the latter possibly the first Alabama high schooler drafted.
