- 0:11Speaker 1: Father's Dragon by Rude Style's Gannet, Chapter ten, My father
- 0:17Speaker 1: finds the dragon. When my father was crossing the bank
- 0:22Speaker 1: of the fifteenth crocodile with two more lollipops to go,
- 0:26Speaker 1: the noise of the monkeys suddenly stopped, and he could
- 0:29Speaker 1: hear a much bigger noise, getting louder every second. Then
- 0:34Speaker 1: he could hear seven furious tigers and one raging rhinoceros,
- 0:39Speaker 1: and two seething lions and one ranting gorilla, along with
- 0:44Speaker 1: countless screeching monkeys, led by two extremely irate wild boars,
- 0:50Speaker 1: all yelling it's a trick, it's a trick. There's an invasion,
- 0:55Speaker 1: and it must be after a dragon. Kill it, kill it.
- 0:58Speaker 1: The whole crowd stampeded down to the bank. As my
- 1:02Speaker 1: father was fixing the seventeenth lollipop for the last crocodile,
- 1:07Speaker 1: he heard a wild boar scream, Look it came this way.
- 1:11Speaker 1: It's over there now. See the Crocodile's made a bridge
- 1:15Speaker 1: for it. Just as my father leaped onto the other bank,
- 1:19Speaker 1: one of the wild boars jumped onto the back of
- 1:21Speaker 1: the first crocodile. My father didn't have a moment to
- 1:25Speaker 1: spare by now the dragon realized that my father was
- 1:28Speaker 1: coming to rescue him. He ran out of the bushes
- 1:32Speaker 1: and jumped up and down, yelling, here I am, I'm
- 1:35Speaker 1: right here. Can you see me? Hurry? The boar's coming
- 1:38Speaker 1: over on the crocodiles too. They're all coming over. Oh please, hurry, hurry.
- 1:44Speaker 1: The noise was simply terrific. My father ran up to
- 1:48Speaker 1: the dragon and took out his very sharp jackknife. Steady,
- 1:53Speaker 1: old boy, steady, we'll make it. Just stand still, he
- 1:57Speaker 1: told the dragon as he began to saw through the
- 2:00Speaker 1: big rope. By this time, both boars, all seven tigers,
- 2:04Speaker 1: the two lions, the rhinoceros, and the gorilla, along with
- 2:07Speaker 1: the countless screeching monkeys, were all on their way across
- 2:11Speaker 1: the crocodiles, and was still a lot of rope to
- 2:14Speaker 1: cut through. Oh hurry, the dragon kept saying, and my
- 2:18Speaker 1: father again told him to stand still. If I don't
- 2:22Speaker 1: think I can make it, said my father, we'll fly
- 2:24Speaker 1: over to the other side of the river and I
- 2:27Speaker 1: can finish cutting the rope there. Suddenly, the screaming grew
- 2:31Speaker 1: louder and madder, and my father thought the animals must
- 2:35Speaker 1: have crossed the river. He looked around and saw something
- 2:39Speaker 1: which surprised and delighted him, partly because he had finished
- 2:43Speaker 1: his lollipop, and partly because, as I told you before,
- 2:47Speaker 1: crocodiles are very moody and not the least bit dependable,
- 2:51Speaker 1: and are always looking for something to eat. The first
- 2:53Speaker 1: crocodile had turned away from the bank and started swimming
- 2:56Speaker 1: down the river. The second crocodile hadn't finished yet, so
- 3:00Speaker 1: he followed right after the first, still sucking his lollipop,
- 3:05Speaker 1: and the rest did the same thing, one right after
- 3:08Speaker 1: the other, until they were all swimming away in a line.
- 3:11Speaker 1: The two wild boars, the seven tigers, the rhinoceros, the
- 3:14Speaker 1: two lions, the gorilla, along with the countless screeching monkeys.
- 3:18Speaker 1: We're all riding down the middle of the river on
- 3:20Speaker 1: the train of crocodile, sucking pink lollipops, and all yelling,
- 3:25Speaker 1: screaming and getting their feet wet. My father and the
- 3:28Speaker 1: dragon laughed themselves weak because it was such a silly sight.
- 3:33Speaker 1: As soon as they had recovered, my father finished cutting
- 3:36Speaker 1: the rope and the dragon raced around in circles and
- 3:38Speaker 1: tried to turn a summersault. He was the most excited
- 3:43Speaker 1: baby dragon that ever lived. My father was in a
- 3:46Speaker 1: hurry to fly away, and when the dragon finally calmed
- 3:49Speaker 1: down a bit, my father climbed onto his back all aboard,
- 3:53Speaker 1: said the dragon, where shall we go? We'll spend the
- 3:56Speaker 1: night on the beach, and tomorrow we'll start the long
- 3:59Speaker 1: journey home. So it's off to the shores of Tangerina,
- 4:04Speaker 1: shouted my father as the dragon's sword above the dark
- 4:07Speaker 1: jungle and the muddy river, and all the animals bellowing
- 4:11Speaker 1: at him, and all the crocodiles licking pink lollipops and
- 4:14Speaker 1: grinning wide grins. After all, what did the crocodiles care
- 4:18Speaker 1: about a way to cross the river, and what a
- 4:21Speaker 1: fine feast they were carrying on their backs. As my
- 4:25Speaker 1: father and the dragon passed over the ocean rocks, they
- 4:28Speaker 1: heard a tiny excited voice scream, bomb crack, bomb crack.
- 4:33Speaker 1: We read our nagon, I mean we need our dragon.
- 4:37Speaker 1: But my father and the dragon knew that nothing in
- 4:40Speaker 1: the world would ever make them go back to wild
- 4:43Speaker 1: Island the end. And if my father's dragon by rude
- 4:49Speaker 1: styles gannet,
