- 0:00Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:03access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing genuine
- 0:07issues. Brought to you by the
- 0:10hypnotherapist, demanded by celebrities, CEOs and even
- 0:14royalty. Adam Cox.
- 0:16These recordings took place live from Adam's clinic in London's
- 0:19world famous Harley Street. This podcast features powerful
- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:41Hi, it's Adam here. And on today's episode of The
- 0:44Hypnotist, you're going to be listening to a hypnosis session
- 0:48created for a client that really wanted to feel more confident
- 0:53and comfortable sharing on social media.
- 0:58And they had a goal to some extent to build a significant
- 1:03audience that could perhaps lead to a different source of income
- 1:08or perhaps a different career trajectory.
- 1:12But in order to do that, they needed to get out of their own
- 1:15head. They were kind of overthinking
- 1:18and second guessing almost anything before they even did
- 1:21it. So this hypnosis session is
- 1:24designed to really help them feel comfortable and natural
- 1:31sharing things that they feel comfortable with.
- 1:35It's all about genuine stuff. This isn't a hypnosis session
- 1:39for you to feel like you can be a fake personality online and
- 1:44just make stuff up. It's about being congruent and
- 1:50authentic and genuine and sharing the type of things that
- 1:55you might feel other people can connect with.
- 1:58And when I was working with this client, I could really get a
- 2:03sense of familiarity because I've been running this podcast
- 2:07for about 5 1/2 years now, and I delayed starting it for many,
- 2:14many months for exactly the same kind of thoughts that this
- 2:19particular client had. What are people going to think?
- 2:22Are people going to like it? Who really cares?
- 2:24All of that kind of stuff. But what happened is when I
- 2:27started doing it for a reason for me and a reason for someone
- 2:32else. And the reason for me was a
- 2:35creative outlet. And the reason for someone else
- 2:37was I thought that even if just one person was positively
- 2:42impacted from my hypnosis sessions, then it would be
- 2:44worthwhile. And that was a very low bar.
- 2:48And that low bar gave me permission to just start sharing
- 2:52my hypnosis sessions. And at the point where I
- 2:57actually am recording this right now, in the last two days,
- 3:01there's been two significant milestones for the podcast. 1 is
- 3:05that the total downloads or streams for the podcast has just
- 3:10reached 12.5 million. And the second is that Spotify
- 3:14notified me that there is 50,000 followers following the podcast
- 3:20and when I started I would have no idea that it would connect
- 3:24with that many people in that way.
- 3:27But I managed to find a way to just feel comfortable sharing my
- 3:32hypnosis sessions in a way that felt authentic and real for me.
- 3:37So this is partly A hypnosis session for the client that I
- 3:42was working with, but it's also for anyone else that was like me
- 3:475 1/2 years ago. That really feels like they've
- 3:50got something that they want to share, but they're not really
- 3:53sure if people are going to care or not.
- 3:56In which case, this is for you. And if you like this kind of
- 4:00stuff, I would encourage you to click the show notes or there's
- 4:04the description, because in the description there's lots of free
- 4:07things. There's free downloads, a free
- 4:10course, even a free suitability test.
- 4:14You can figure out if hypnosis is right for you.
- 4:16So if you are interested in this kind of stuff, check those out
- 4:19and you'll get some free stuff. For now though, find a quiet,
- 4:24comfortable place where you won't be disturbed.
- 4:26Relax and enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in, and as
- 5:17you breathe in, breathe in that feeling of calm and relaxation.
- 5:24And as you exhale, just allow your eyelids to close, your
- 5:30shoulders to drop, and your jaw to soften.
- 5:35And as you breathe in and breathe out, just allow your
- 5:39thoughts to slow down as if this is a moment of stillness, a
- 5:47pause not to retreat, but to reconnect.
- 5:53And with each breath you begin to release any noise, any
- 5:59opinions, any pressure, any overthinking or second guessing.
- 6:05Because you don't need to prove anything right now and you don't
- 6:12need to get it perfect. Just enable yourself to breathe
- 6:17in and breathe out and just connect with who you are at your
- 6:26very core. And as you continue to breathe,
- 6:33I want you to imagine a space that feels comfortable.
- 6:39Maybe it felt comfortable from your past, but only after you
- 6:45got over that initial resistance.
- 6:50I want you to imagine a stage filled with instruments before
- 6:57the audience arrive. And I want you to observe
- 7:02yourself, the time when you were performing to a big audience.
- 7:07And I want you to see how natural, how calm, how
- 7:13effortless you seemed back then. Observe that that version of you
- 7:21wasn't second guessing, wasn't concerned about anything other
- 7:27than just being in the moment, being authentic, and just
- 7:33performing. I want you to step into that
- 7:39memory of you and feel how good it feels to feel expressive, to
- 7:48feel that you can create value, sharing the talents, the
- 7:54thoughts, the ideas. I want you to reconnect with
- 7:58that version of you, a version of you where no shits are given.
- 8:06I want you to get a sense then that version of you is
- 8:11completely aligned with sharing a message, albeit in a different
- 8:18way. So as you feel safe on that
- 8:24stage, just imagine an audience starting to fill the room.
- 8:32And yet you feel quiet, safe and powerful.
- 8:40And in this place, self doubt and overthinking completely
- 8:47loses its grip. With every breath you drift
- 8:54deeper into comfort, a sense of inner stillness, the kind of
- 9:01confidence that doesn't need attention because it's rooted,
- 9:08grounded, and real. And what if you are tuning in to
- 9:13that version of you? The version of you that is done
- 9:17waiting, done hesitating, done overthinking.
- 9:25The version of you that simply shows up.
- 9:29And I want you to get a feeling of how good it would feel to
- 9:34share a message, a story, a moment that is completely
- 9:42authentic and real and natural for you.
- 9:50And maybe you're filming yourself or taking a picture or
- 9:56writing a comment, but I want you to get a sense that you
- 10:00don't need to do everything at once.
- 10:04You just need to start. And what if that starting point
- 10:10is already in the past? What if you've done the hardest
- 10:15thing, which was breaking the inertia, and now you're there?
- 10:21It's all about changing what you do, how you do it, until you
- 10:28feel completely authentic and in alignment.
- 10:39I want you to imagine the stage remains the same, but now
- 10:44imagine the audience is replaced with giant screens that
- 10:50represent different social media platforms.
- 10:55And maybe there's a primary one, perhaps Instagram, but maybe
- 10:59there's others that you can repurpose content, maybe TikTok
- 11:04or LinkedIn or Facebook or YouTube Shorts.
- 11:09Just get a sense that the size of these screens will be
- 11:14proportionate to how important you feel they might be in
- 11:20connecting with a potential audience.
- 11:24The most important will be the largest and all the other
- 11:27screens will be smaller. And I want you to get a sense
- 11:32that I will give you direct suggestions to your subconscious
- 11:38mind to feel comfortable sharing whatever content you feel is
- 11:47authentic and real. And whether it's valuable or not
- 11:54is not for you to decide. It's for an audience.
- 12:01So allow these suggestions to take root into your beliefs,
- 12:06your instincts, and perhaps even your identity.
- 12:14You give yourself full permission to express yourself
- 12:21exactly as you are, and you no longer need to wait for
- 12:29everything to be right. Give yourself permission to
- 12:33create through action. Allow yourself to start with
- 12:40what feels easy and allow momentum to build naturally.
- 12:50And you are sharing from a place of generosity, not validation.
- 12:57It's about what you're giving, not what you're getting.
- 13:03So release any echoes or buried fears of judgement and instead
- 13:10trust your intention, the growth, and any possible
- 13:16opportunities that may come. And I want you to get a sense
- 13:22that we can distort time. The beginning stages always feel
- 13:28like the more daunting. But over time I want you to get
- 13:33a sense then even if the first few times that you post a live
- 13:40bit of content or a pre recorded video or something outside of
- 13:47what feels comfortable, the first few times could be
- 13:53uncomfortable. But start to believe that the
- 13:5777th time will be completely natural and free of any
- 14:05discomfort or hesitation at all, and you are consistency away
- 14:19from feeling safe being seen. And although there may be some
- 14:25discomfort, isn't anything difficult, challenging or new a
- 14:34little uncomfortable to begin with?
- 14:38Consider this a little like wearing some new shoes.
- 14:45You've got to wear them in a bit before they feel comfortable,
- 14:50but the more you post, the more comfortable you will feel.
- 14:56And when you do experience discomfort, you can welcome that
- 15:02as proof of your expansion, progress and development.
- 15:11You will develop a deep belief, possibly a conviction, that the
- 15:18more you share, the more comfortable you become.
- 15:24And any elements of imposter syndrome is like a fading echo.
- 15:32You get to own your voice, your story, your message, your
- 15:35narrative, and there is no wrong way to express your truth and
- 15:43your life and your experience. I want you to feel that your
- 15:49words, your insights don't have to be interesting, entertaining
- 15:58or valuable to everyone. But I want you to think of
- 16:05always the one person that may benefit from whatever message
- 16:10you're sharing. Hold them in mind, the rest
- 16:16don't matter. I want you to imagine yourself
- 16:22in the very near future and see yourself creating content or
- 16:27documenting key elements of your life without overthinking.
- 16:34See yourself trusting your instincts and no buyer's
- 16:39remorse. You will own whatever you post,
- 16:44and if it doesn't get that much traction, that's just a learning
- 16:47experience. So imagine that future version
- 16:51of you owning whatever you post, learning from anything that
- 16:58doesn't quite get the response you want.
- 17:01But I want you to feel that the more uncomfortable or hesitant
- 17:10you are in posting something that the world, or perhaps just
- 17:17a community will see, is actually assisting you in
- 17:24breaking the very foundations of that discomfort.
- 17:32Because every post that you post is a step toward that evolved
- 17:39identity that you're becoming. And I want you to feel there is
- 17:45a big distinction between performance and pretending to be
- 17:50someone that you're not and documenting who you really are.
- 17:56So imagine seeing that future version of you expressing in a
- 18:02state of flow, almost second nature, that when a stream of
- 18:09consciousness comes, an interesting insight or something
- 18:13you wish to share, you're able to just pick up a camera and
- 18:19record. And in doing so, see that future
- 18:24version of you feeling lighter, freer, and most of all, more
- 18:31unapologetic every time that you create, post, or publish.
- 18:42And I want you to imagine that each of these suggestions is
- 18:45like a sea taking root in your subconscious mind, or like a key
- 18:51fitting perfectly into a door lock that opens your creative
- 18:56freedom. And I want you to imagine
- 19:01yourself perhaps one or two months from now.
- 19:07And I want you to observe yourself sitting down or doing
- 19:11something, but you're about to share something.
- 19:15And this time you can observe that there's no tightness in
- 19:18your chest, no lump in the throat, no hesitation or
- 19:24overthinking. Just a calm, relaxed smile.
- 19:30You record, you speak, you publish, you share.
- 19:35And it feels natural. No need to overthink or over
- 19:40explain. No Fear of too much or not
- 19:44enough. I want you to get a sense that
- 19:47this version of you is just documenting your life.
- 19:54And I want you to get a sense of a mantra.
- 19:58People that get your vibe become your tribe and therefore you
- 20:03don't want everyone. To be interested in the content
- 20:08that you share. In fact, you want some people
- 20:13not to like the very things that you post because their lack of
- 20:20engagement means that they are not your audience.
- 20:25I want you to feel that even a small community of people that
- 20:30love what you do and how you explain it becomes very valuable
- 20:36and that community can grow over time.
- 20:41I want you to get a sense then you could imagine that even if
- 20:47just a few people change their life in some meaningful way
- 20:53because of the content that you've shared that gave value,
- 21:00inspirational insight to their life, then it's all worthwhile.
- 21:07And who cares if a few people criticize from the sidelines.
- 21:15You are someone that's doing. Not commenting or watching, but
- 21:21doing. And in doing so, you're
- 21:24expanding your comfort zone with every time that you record and
- 21:31publish. And before long, your creativity
- 21:37is becoming stronger. You desire to take risks.
- 21:44That courage is growing. And the best part is that you
- 21:49feel good not because of what people say, but because that you
- 21:55are finally expressing who you really are and couldn't care
- 22:00less about what other people think about that.
- 22:07I want you to step into that future version of you.
- 22:11And then imagine doing that in real time, recording a message
- 22:17and without overthinking it, just clicking publish or perhaps
- 22:27pressing a button to go live and just sharing whatever's on your
- 22:31mind initially. It's not about strategy and
- 22:37tactics, ways to game the algorithm.
- 22:44The first challenge is to get comfortable sharing whatever you
- 22:49want to share whenever you want to share it.
- 22:54And I want you to think now of the low hanging fruit in your
- 22:57life, the easiest things that would be the most comfortable
- 23:01things to record and publish. Maybe things connected to work,
- 23:09business related things or something else.
- 23:14So now bring that version of you even closer.
- 23:19That future version with you is now merging with who you are.
- 23:23Now I want you to get a sense that you can access those future
- 23:30resources when you are feeling comfortable in advance and feel
- 23:37that shift is already happening now.
- 23:42So many habits of overthinking, hesitating, questioning,
- 23:47speculating are already beginning to fade.
- 23:53I want you to get a sense that now you're just going to go and
- 23:58do it. Not in a reckless way, but a
- 24:01free, relaxed, expressive and clear way.
- 24:04And when you're ready to create, this feeling will return
- 24:10instantly. You will take pride in just
- 24:14sharing whatever you desire to and wherever the chips fall, so
- 24:20be it. Because you're not just showing
- 24:23up, you're stepping in. And I want you to feel that the
- 24:28world will experience a ripple effect of your message, your
- 24:33inspiration, or your thoughts and ideas.
- 24:39And now I want you to imagine 2 years from now where you've
- 24:45created a significant audience of following a community or a
- 24:50tribe. And I want you to get a sense
- 24:54then people are now looking to you for your thoughts, ideas,
- 25:00your take on things. And I want you to get a sense of
- 25:05what value that would give to your life.
- 25:10Would it make you feel more of a leader?
- 25:14Someone that is creating trends and narratives?
- 25:21Maybe a thought leader? I want you to get a sense that
- 25:27maybe this large audience can be monetized, or maybe that's not
- 25:32the point. Maybe it's just that feeling you
- 25:36get. Almost like an Old Town crier
- 25:41sharing a message with people that may want or need to hear
- 25:47it. It's time to leave this place
- 25:50within your imagination, but you return the drive and desire to
- 25:57start sharing more of your life in ways that feel authentic and
- 26:04genuine and natural with you. So take a deep breath in through
- 26:12your nose and out through your nose.
- 26:15Just wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
- 26:17Connect and calibrate into the here and the now as I now count
- 26:22from one to 10. Two will awaken you starting to
- 26:26count. 123 waking up 456 more alert. 7-8 open your eyes.
- 26:34Open your eyes. 910 Wide awake, wide awake, wide awake.
- 28:12A. Yeah.
- 33:12Yeah. Yeah.
