Transcript
- 0:00I am Hannah Montana and this is my other personality.
- 0:03It's like Baileena, that's not me.
- 0:07I love that. OK, well Baileena's slaying it.
- 0:09You guys, we need to beat these Bailey spin inauthentic
- 0:12allegations. Like I feel like you have been
- 0:14nothing but real really Lulu as fuck this entire time.
- 0:17So I'm like. How many sad songs will it take
- 0:20before people believe? Me.
- 0:21We're about to find out. I got more coming, don't worry.
- 0:41Hello Spin Lulu's Today we are joined by OGPOV Queen herself
- 0:45and a bonafide rock star, obviously Miss Bailey Spin.
- 0:50She is known for her incredibly viral POV content and now making
- 0:53a name for herself as an artist. She has lived rent free on your
- 0:57For You page for years and now she is here with us in the
- 1:00Dululu studios. Bailey, thank you so much for
- 1:02being here. Yes, thank you for having me.
- 1:04Pretty much just hung out for like a couple hours right before
- 1:07this. We did.
- 1:08We've done everything today already.
- 1:09Pretty much I was like kind of getting a little nervy.
- 1:11I'm like, feel like I'm getting to everything with you.
- 1:12And I was like, we should say for the show, but then I was
- 1:14like, I want to stop talking. Either Don't.
- 1:15Worry there's more lore. We have so much to get into and
- 1:18I want to start with the Bailey lore.
- 1:20So yes, you're in LA now, but where are you originally from?
- 1:23I'm from Virginia and then the way I got to LA is I did go to
- 1:27college for a year at San Diego State and then I was a COVID
- 1:31year. I didn't have that much fun and
- 1:33I blew up on TikTok the summer after my freshman year and I
- 1:36just put all my things in a car and drove to LA and got an
- 1:39apartment and then never went back to school.
- 1:41You just said this is it, I'm doing it.
- 1:43Yeah, I basically up and left. I didn't even really think about
- 1:46it, but it was a good choice so. Honestly I did something similar
- 1:48to that too because for me I quit my job to make tik toks
- 1:52like 5 years ago. This was during covic as well
- 1:55literally and I didn't I guess reasonably.
- 1:58I always when I give people advice I'm always like I hate
- 2:01the idea of a plan BI don't love that idea but I always tell
- 2:03people like make sure you're good and covered first before
- 2:05you like just go for it even though I just went for it.
- 2:08That's what I did like I I had a following the first year in
- 2:11freshman year, but I just didn't know if it was enough to live
- 2:14off of and I didn't want to risk it didn't seem like that much of
- 2:17a full time job to me because I was just like a smaller account
- 2:20not making too much. And then when I realized like,
- 2:23oh, I I think I now can live off this like I needed that security
- 2:27if I'm good a. 100% I think that's so smart.
- 2:31I think more people should do that too and be really mindful
- 2:33about that. But at what point in making
- 2:35content where you find finally like, OK, I'm going to do this,
- 2:38this is full time. Like this is his job now.
- 2:40Yeah, it was my sophomore year and I remember specifically I
- 2:42was in like a quad. I had a roommate, teeny tiny
- 2:45room. Our beds are like 1 foot apart.
- 2:47I would wake up whenever she was gone, even if it was like for 30
- 2:50minutes. I had my makeup on and I would
- 2:53like set up my phone on my desk and film a video rapidly.
- 2:55I remember I would wake up in the morning at like 8 or
- 2:59whatever before classes and I'd have to go into our bathroom to
- 3:02record like the voice overs because I couldn't do it while
- 3:04she was sleeping in there in the living room.
- 3:06They can all hear me. So I was like quietly in the
- 3:08bathroom. Then I was just like this isn't
- 3:11working and trying to balance running a classes.
- 3:14And. Trying to party and being
- 3:16mindful of the roommates and posting all the time.
- 3:19Like I was posting every single day.
- 3:22So I was like, girl, we something has got to stop here
- 3:25and I picked school. As you should.
- 3:27And obviously it worked out. Yes, luckily for me, could have
- 3:31been worse. Thankfully right?
- 3:32Oh my God literally because same.
- 3:33I quit my job straight up just to make tick tocks and I'm so
- 3:37happy I did because like, I don't know, I everything was so
- 3:39different too. And it was the pandemic, right?
- 3:41You need the time to like focus on it.
- 3:43It does help, it's just. It's still a job.
- 3:45It's an interesting job, but still a job.
- 3:47It's. Like a 24/7 job too you can't
- 3:49stop thinking about. It all the time.
- 3:51It's never ending. So did you know you always
- 3:54wanted to like, be a content creator?
- 3:55Like when you're growing up, what did you envision yourself
- 3:57doing? I had a few different dreams.
- 4:00I definitely was a big fan of YouTube.
- 4:02Me too. Back when I was like 12 and 13.
- 4:04I was all all over the Internet and I wanted to be a YouTube so
- 4:09bad and made like terrible cold calls and that kind of stuff.
- 4:12We got to find those videos. I have them, I watch them
- 4:15sometimes and I'm like, these are.
- 4:16They're not public, are they? No, they're not.
- 4:18They're on a different channel too, so they're not even on my
- 4:21main one now. But yeah, I wanted to be a
- 4:24YouTube. Me too, so bad.
- 4:26I really want to be a YouTube. I wanted to be a Disney Channel
- 4:28star. I wanted to be a YouTube.
- 4:29And I also made like. I made like like fall fits for
- 4:33back to school did just the worst outfits.
- 4:36I. Was doing balls, yes I was
- 4:37posting videos and honestly they were doing kind of good too.
- 4:40For the time I didn't even notice because I just I
- 4:41abandoned it and those videos I made, it was like a lot of
- 4:44fashion based videos, very random of me.
- 4:46And then we got like 100 views or something like notice.
- 4:48I didn't even notice until like crazy until deleting those
- 4:51videos and I was like wait, these did good.
- 4:53But I gave up on that dream really quickly.
- 4:55What? Happened.
- 4:56Why did I give up on that or why did I do well?
- 4:58I have no idea if people wanted to know what to wear back to
- 5:00school in the fall, so I guess it did that.
- 5:02But I yeah, YouTube. I always wanted to be a YouTube
- 5:06too, because then that was like the 19 growing up.
- 5:08I was watching the Youtubers and then I wanted to be a viner.
- 5:11Were you on Vine? No, I think I was like a little
- 5:14too young. Like I I knew about it and I
- 5:16know all the references but I didn't have it for some reason
- 5:19like I don't remember having. I think it was like my
- 5:22generation and I think your generation was moving towards we
- 5:25were musically. Yeah, we I was more so musically
- 5:27like I think by the time I was like old enough to find out
- 5:30about Vine, it it died like it was done.
- 5:33Yeah, but I know the me. I recorded them all the time.
- 5:36It's a part of the culture, so absolutely that makes sense.
- 5:39Right, I'm on the cusp. So you know you wanted to be an
- 5:41influencer, You want to be a content creator.
- 5:42Did you also know you wanted to be an artist?
- 5:45I don't know about artists. I was like a theater kid.
- 5:47Which makes perfect sense. So it's kind of in your blood,
- 5:49but you weren't necessarily thinking about it like that.
- 5:52Yeah, I wasn't really focused on like being an artist.
- 5:55I kind of wanted to be in musical theatre.
- 5:56I loved it. I saw Broadway shows all the
- 5:58time in New York with my dad, and I would sing karaoke in the
- 6:01basement like every day. But I was just so anxious and I
- 6:04couldn't sing in front of anyone.
- 6:05Really. Were you like, shy about it?
- 6:07Yeah, I was. I'm still a little shy about it
- 6:09but like Oh my God, it isn't so bad it.
- 6:11Doesn't show at all I feel. Like you're mean.
- 6:14No, I it's like a lot of muscle memory and training, even making
- 6:16videos for the first time, like getting used to being in front
- 6:18of the camera and talking to a camera and like, you know,
- 6:20making the content in general. It's like the practice because I
- 6:23used to be so fucking shy and like I couldn't even imagine
- 6:27like 10 years ago doing this at all.
- 6:29Yeah. The cameras and like knowing
- 6:31that I'm being perceived and it's being recorded and like the
- 6:33voice thing. It's normal now, but we are the.
- 6:36Same. I mean, I wouldn't have it any
- 6:37other way. I like, love this life.
- 6:38I love everything about like what this career is, right?
- 6:42It's just so fun and it's like it's crazy and we've been so
- 6:45busy too. It's.
- 6:45Creative and crazy and fun you have a lot of self-discipline
- 6:49and like a super creative like genre you.
- 6:53Have to because like I was talking to my friends about it
- 6:55and I was like, no one's going to want it more than you yeah,
- 6:58and you're going to have to want it and if you you're.
- 7:00Going to be dedicated. You have to because if you're
- 7:02not, then what? Like even, you know, if you have
- 7:05a team and your team cares and you're working with people and
- 7:08stuff, it's just like, at the end of the day, it's still you
- 7:09and it's your output and it's what you want.
- 7:11So it's it's a lie. I don't think people even
- 7:14understand because I feel like people don't respect like
- 7:16content creators in general or whatever.
- 7:18It's already really hard. And I wanted to talk to you
- 7:20about that too. So being a content creator and
- 7:22then moving into music, do you feel like it was hard to be
- 7:25taken seriously at first? Because like, you know, everyone
- 7:27like rolls their eyes. They're like, oh, Addison Rae
- 7:29made Tik Toks and now she's doing music and people don't
- 7:31take it seriously. Did you find that?
- 7:34Yeah, definitely. And then before I even released
- 7:37my own songs, people were starting to be mean to be about
- 7:39it because I released covers on YouTube just to like get better
- 7:43at singing and get comfortable singing in front of the camera.
- 7:46And people are really nice on YouTube, but they were really
- 7:49mean on TikTok. They were so mean to me.
- 7:53But I did end up getting better. So I'm like, they bullied me
- 7:57into it a little bit. But when they're mean, it makes
- 7:59you question. You're like, should I keep going
- 8:02forward? They're still.
- 8:03Mean to me perceived in such a massive way too, because you
- 8:05have such a giant following and people have opinions and people
- 8:08are going to say things like we're just talking about a
- 8:10recent video that you did and that people don't even
- 8:11understand. They're always going to say
- 8:12something like how do you even deal with that?
- 8:14Because like, to be honest, for me, I feel so thankful.
- 8:17I feel like I very rarely, maybe like once or twice a year, I'll
- 8:20get like a negative comment or hate comment.
- 8:21But generally to be fair though, I don't read my comments at all
- 8:26at all so I feel like I just avoid it in general.
- 8:28But it would I feel like it would crush me if I was getting
- 8:31like a bunch of negative feedback.
- 8:32People were perceiving me and like feeling a type of way about
- 8:34me. Yeah, I don't know.
- 8:36I'm kind of a weird like hard head about it because I think
- 8:39about it in the aspect that I personally have never left a
- 8:42hate comment on any video of my life, especially not on just
- 8:46never. And I like people that are doing
- 8:48that. Probably a little bit insecure.
- 8:51I know what's compelling you and why.
- 8:53Like why do you even care that much like I?
- 8:55Just think about the guy. I would love to hate comment
- 8:57either. I do think I am a huge hater,
- 8:59but I definitely don't think I love to comment on anything.
- 9:03Like, never publicly, yeah. Never publicly.
- 9:05I would never never do that. Never that.
- 9:07Definitely other embarrassing things I'll comment publicly
- 9:09like like if I have a tarot reading I'll be like, oh I
- 9:12really? Positive ones, I'm like, I just
- 9:14don't. People forget about like digital
- 9:15footprint too. I'm like, do you not want a job
- 9:18or anything like when you're older?
- 9:19I mean, yeah, just 'cause you know, your user 179 or whatever,
- 9:22people can find that. And they're gonna find it.
- 9:25The internet's forever. That's the scariest thing too,
- 9:27right? People need to be more mindful
- 9:28about that. They'd be, they'd be seeing the
- 9:30craziest shit. They'd be seeing the craziest
- 9:31shit under the most irrelevant shit, too.
- 9:33Like why? Why is this?
- 9:34Why? Why is this on my video?
- 9:35Like this doesn't even matter. This is irrelevant.
- 9:37Absolutely and like y'all just talking shit.
- 9:39Just talk shit at this point. When I started making content, I
- 9:41made a rule to be really intentional about not reading
- 9:44the comments just because I felt like I got so in my head about
- 9:46it. But I feel like because your
- 9:48videos obviously are so massively viral, people are
- 9:51always commenting. Like, how do you manage that?
- 9:53I, I can't even fathom that myself, you know what I mean?
- 9:56Right, you just have to ignore them and it's like cheesy
- 9:59advice, but that is genuinely the only way.
- 10:01I'm also a deleter of comments. I am a tyrant on my own page.
- 10:05I will be deleting your comment. The block button is there for a
- 10:08reason. I'm deleting it and I'm, I'm
- 10:10blocking you because this is my video, my face, my name, I don't
- 10:14care. Period.
- 10:16You know your page, It's. Your page.
- 10:18Oh my God, control it. You know what?
- 10:19I used to block people too, but then they stopped because then
- 10:21people would post on their like stories and be like, oh, I
- 10:23affected Ryan so much. Ryan blocked me.
- 10:25And I'm like, it's not that deep, girl.
- 10:26Like I have no idea who you are. I don't.
- 10:28I don't. Check.
- 10:28They probably deserve it. I'm like, if you say something
- 10:30genuinely mean, I'm gonna block you.
- 10:33Yeah. Fuck you bro.
- 10:33If it's gently mean, I'll just probably delete it.
- 10:36I'm like, OK, maybe you shouldn't do that again.
- 10:38But how often are you monitoring?
- 10:40I don't not that much. Sometimes it's like late at
- 10:42night, I'm a little bit bored or can't sleep.
- 10:44I'm like scrolling. I'm like.
- 10:45What are we seeing? It's going to keep you up.
- 10:47There's so many platforms too. Honestly on Instagram it's
- 10:50really bad. Instagram.
- 10:51Instagram is the worst place for hate.
- 10:52Comes there feral I feel like. Instagram people on Instagram,
- 10:56that's the craziest part because Instagram people, I feel like
- 10:58TikTok, you see a lot of burner accounts, a lot of random
- 11:00accounts, a lot of number accounts, a lot of user blah
- 11:01blah. Instagram is like real house
- 11:03people being like hey, you suck and I hate you and I'm like, Oh
- 11:06yeah, full government name here in everything, right?
- 11:08Literally like profile picture, I don't care.
- 11:10They don't care. They wanted to be seen like I'm
- 11:13a hater too, but I don't think I would leave a hate comment.
- 11:16We talked about that. Yeah, I would not leave it.
- 11:18I've never left a hate comment on somebody's page, never from a
- 11:21burner, never from a main. It's just something like people
- 11:24that do it. It's probably out of insecurity
- 11:26or like sheer boredom, but just. Lie.
- 11:28It's also just like someone necessary.
- 11:30It is unnecessary. Like everything took.
- 11:33The time about your day to do that.
- 11:35And you're thinking about me and I affected you like that.
- 11:37So it's like, OK, it is what it is.
- 11:39But you know what I always say as a content creator, they can
- 11:41and they should leave whatever comments they want because
- 11:43engagement. So thanks.
- 11:45Bills paid either way. Yeah, the hate.
- 11:47The hate does work and if you run with it like rage baiting
- 11:50people really works and I do it a lot.
- 11:52You're brave, you're brave. I will rage bait people.
- 11:55I love that. Gently.
- 11:56Well, you're really intentional about it, like the POV that you
- 11:58just did where you're talking about like the aesthetics not
- 12:00matching the music tastes, and you have the mic, a romance
- 12:02poster right behind you. Like I thought rage immediately
- 12:06because I was like, you're off to the side and it's right
- 12:08there. You know what I mean?
- 12:08And all the comments were like the poster though.
- 12:11Yeah, just a skit. So you're making content.
- 12:15At what point do you decide that you want to start doing music as
- 12:17well? Because you said you wanted to
- 12:18be an influencer, you knew you wanted to be a content creator
- 12:20and you weren't necessarily sure if you wanted to be an artist,
- 12:22but then you started moving towards that.
- 12:24I think I gained a little bit of confidence from posting online.
- 12:27And so I texted my manager at the time one day and I was like,
- 12:30I think I can sing. And so we put me in vocal
- 12:33lessons and we put me in everything just to like build
- 12:36confidence just so I was able to even put myself out there and
- 12:41know that I could sing to some ability.
- 12:42But then I started making covers and then original music.
- 12:46I very much took it like one step at a time and really tried
- 12:50to ease my audience into it instead of just like throwing a
- 12:54song at them immediately of. My own accord, 60 or 180 of just
- 12:58being like from the content to like, OK, here's my music.
- 13:01Now I wanted them to know I was serious too.
- 13:02I was like, I'm not, you know, throwing out a song for money or
- 13:05like a cash grab or anything. I was like, I love music and I
- 13:08want to sing and I want you guys to know that I like it, but you
- 13:11have to start somewhere. It just, I was starting at such
- 13:14a large point on social media that so many people were already
- 13:18watching. You know, if I had like 50K it
- 13:21would have been less detrimental if I was like, I'm going to sing
- 13:23now the. Transition.
- 13:24People were very mean. Of course.
- 13:26And you got such a large audience initially anyways.
- 13:29And you know what? I want to talk about that.
- 13:30I feel like a lot of artists these days dream of like having
- 13:33a giant following before they even release music.
- 13:35But to be honest, it could also be such a crutch because it's
- 13:38like they know you for one thing, they follow you for one
- 13:40thing, and now you're doing something different.
- 13:43They put you in a box and then they don't expect something
- 13:45different from you, and then you do something different and
- 13:46they're like, oh, I don't like this.
- 13:47I actually missed this or I wasn't expecting this from you,
- 13:50da da, da. So then I feel like it makes it
- 13:51slightly harder because now you have to compete with yourself.
- 13:54So it's like, I want to show you that I'm more than just one
- 13:57thing. It's so challenging to pivot,
- 13:59you know? It is.
- 14:00Yeah. They definitely have put me in a
- 14:02box. And people tell me they miss the
- 14:03old me. And it's kind of a funny thing
- 14:06to read because I'm like, there really is no old me.
- 14:08I'm like, you're thinking of a past version of myself.
- 14:11And I'm obviously, you know, like, not like that in this
- 14:14present moment. And we in loving memory of her.
- 14:17Yeah, literally in loving memory her.
- 14:19I was like, well, I can't undye my hair, so we're here now.
- 14:22Here we are, This is it. I feel like growing with an
- 14:25audience is so like challenging too because like people will
- 14:29pigeonhole you And I feel like that's something I'm dealing
- 14:31with right now too because I'm working on a bunch of different
- 14:33projects as well. And I'm like, fuck, I don't know
- 14:34how people are going to react to these things and like how things
- 14:37are going to shift. Also, side note, I need to tell
- 14:38you, I loved your content so much during the Pandemi Lovato.
- 14:43It was crack to me. Oh my God, Oh my God.
- 14:45I would like my doom scrolling would be just your page and I
- 14:47would just be. I was obsessed.
- 14:49I feel like you. That's how the blow up happened.
- 14:51You just like, you just like hit all the points, like the
- 14:53emotional aspects of things and the storytelling.
- 14:55And I was rooting for you and I was mad.
- 14:58Girl, it really went there. But you know what's interesting
- 15:00today in 2025, like I only see you as like an artist.
- 15:04Like, how crazy is that? Because you started so much in
- 15:07the content creation. So I think that's great.
- 15:09Very intentional, like rebranding and moving towards it
- 15:12because you're exactly where you need to be now.
- 15:13Yeah. Definitely.
- 15:14And the music's so good and we're so excited about it.
- 15:16Thank you. I'm excited about it too.
- 15:18Well, I want to talk about your music as well, of course.
- 15:21So you just released your debut album, Loser.
- 15:24How's the process of making Loser?
- 15:26I want to talk about the title track as well because I feel
- 15:28like it also bleeds a a little bit into your new song Fear of
- 15:31Going Out too, because then it's just very self deprecating, like
- 15:34the opposite of affirmations and where is that coming from?
- 15:37That's just kind of me. I like to write like that just
- 15:40to get it off of my chest. Yeah, I kind of went into the
- 15:42studio when I was writing loser and specifically the title
- 15:45track, and I was telling them like, I feel like a loser.
- 15:48And I was kind of living like the same day on repeat.
- 15:50Do you really feel like a loser everywhere sometimes?
- 15:53Yeah, I think. That's human and that's yeah.
- 15:55Sometimes people too see me as like the kind of think you're
- 15:58popular if you have all these followers and like in a
- 16:00logistical sense I am. But you know, you can still have
- 16:04like 1 friend and like stay inside.
- 16:06And kind of like, I grew up eating lunch in the bathrooms
- 16:09alone and like playing Minecraft.
- 16:11And now I'm like, now I'm just kind of like this.
- 16:13And I keep all those qualities with me.
- 16:16I mean, it's good you're staying authentic and true to yourself
- 16:17and look how like popular you are through it too.
- 16:20Like literally, people adore you and they adore what you do and
- 16:22your your music, what you make and you're still you.
- 16:25You know what I mean? The.
- 16:25Bravery of being cringy. I just did not care at all and
- 16:29it took me really far and I tell that everybody just don't care.
- 16:32Yeah, do hold themselves back when they're like, nervous about
- 16:35to overthink it. You just got to do it, girl.
- 16:37Especially if you want to be in entertainment.
- 16:38You just got to do it. You just got to let go and do
- 16:40it. That's the crazy thing.
- 16:41OK, well the next album needs to be called Winner.
- 16:43Winner. Yes, I knew that.
- 16:46OK, first. Place I feel like even with like
- 16:48of course fear of going out, you like in the chorus, you're still
- 16:50very like talking about yourself in like such a like opposite of
- 16:54an affirmation way. Do you feel like you would ever
- 16:56like start? I feel like because when I
- 16:58write, when I'm working on things, I always make sure I
- 17:00speak things that are feel like positive or like even if I'm
- 17:04faking it, I just feel like I need it, you know?
- 17:06Like that's where my mind goes, you know?
- 17:08But I also think it's really powerful to own and being self
- 17:10aware, right? You know, like in your music.
- 17:12Self aware, it's kind of like taking my power back and that's
- 17:15why I keep writing so many sad songs because I do feel this
- 17:19way. And then putting it on such like
- 17:20a high energy, fun track makes me feel less bad about it.
- 17:25It was like, you know, I want to stay inside.
- 17:26I don't like talking to people, I overthink a lot.
- 17:29But this song is so fun and it makes me want to dance and I can
- 17:32dance around to it. Yeah, it's like bombastic.
- 17:34And it's like, you know, has so much personality in it.
- 17:37It's very fun. And it doesn't like feel sad in
- 17:40nature. I don't like them to necessarily
- 17:42all feel really sad. Like I like to have fun
- 17:44sometimes. I feel like the album goes in so
- 17:46many different directions. Obviously rock and you love so
- 17:49many different facets of rock and it reflects on this project.
- 17:52Was that intentional? Yeah, definitely Loser.
- 17:55The album was is a fever dream, like going all the way through
- 17:59it. I have like lighter pop rock
- 18:00songs. There's some breakdowns and
- 18:02heavier stuff in there. There's like a fully
- 18:04instrumental Evanescence like orchestrated track.
- 18:08I was really all over the place because I do love every single
- 18:11one of these avenues of rock. And it was kind of hard to land
- 18:14on like, which one? And I was like, let's give
- 18:16people a little taste of everything.
- 18:19And that's your taste too. I think that's very much you
- 18:21too. Pop rock theme.
- 18:22Yeah, I think the directions that you took with this album,
- 18:25like it felt cohesive just in the way where it's like this is
- 18:28very Bailey's spin, you know what I mean?
- 18:30Like it's about so true and authentic to you.
- 18:32And I feel like you had so many different directions.
- 18:34And lyrically, I feel like you're so self reflective, you
- 18:37know what I mean? And I think that's, I don't want
- 18:39to say it's it is rare. I think it's rare.
- 18:40I think it's rare to be seeing yourself as not the hero.
- 18:44I feel like a lot of music follows the hero's journey, and
- 18:46I love the hero's journey and yours is kind of like I'm.
- 18:48Like the underdog. I'm not the hero's journey.
- 18:51I'm like, I don't know, whenever I mean the like Perks of a
- 18:54Wallflower, I'm like, that's me. I'm a family on the wall.
- 18:58Yeah, but you're not trying to be anything else, right?
- 18:59Like you're literally just like being yourself.
- 19:01And I love that. So I wanted to talk about front
- 19:03row psycho. It's very like, I want to say
- 19:06sarcastic and like tongue in cheek, but talking about like,
- 19:10you know, a hater. We just talked about a bunch of
- 19:11haters those people leave in those Commons.
- 19:13And then one day they're going to be at your show screaming for
- 19:16you, right? Like that's such an interesting
- 19:18concept because I feel like a lot of people don't even
- 19:19recognize that too. And it's such a real thing.
- 19:21Like, I don't know about you, but for me in high school, like
- 19:24I had so many people who just did not fuck with me, whatever.
- 19:26And then now all of a sudden it's like, look at my best
- 19:28friend from high school doing this.
- 19:29And I'm like. Girl, what?
- 19:30We were not friends. We were not friends.
- 19:33We were not. And we're not friends now.
- 19:35You know what? I mean, we never were.
- 19:36Yes, they're that front row psycho.
- 19:38So did you did that come from like a real place you wrote it
- 19:41from the perspective of like the haters or was it just like a
- 19:43concept that you had? Because I need to talk about the
- 19:45the concept of super glue and we'll get into that too, but
- 19:47we're front row psycho. Front Row Psycho was honestly
- 19:50right after I had dyed my hair online and kind of made a shift
- 19:54into a more alternative style and people were being really
- 19:57mean to me and just had so much to say and people were taking
- 20:01out the fact that they were mad about me dyeing my hair.
- 20:03Like on my music too. Even if this my songs have never
- 20:07been bad in my own opinion. I love them, but I was like, you
- 20:10guys are kind of just dog piling on me just because it's popular.
- 20:14And they're looking for to be angry, too.
- 20:16Yeah, I was like, you know, this is a good song.
- 20:18And I, it hurts when I put a lot of effort in and then people are
- 20:21like, this sucks, this song's terrible.
- 20:23I'm like, Oh no. You feel like you still have to
- 20:25fight to be taken seriously as an artist too.
- 20:27Yeah, definitely. People don't take it serious.
- 20:29They call me TikTok artist all the time.
- 20:31And I really will comment back to people and be like, what does
- 20:33that even mean? What does that mean?
- 20:35Because I always go into sessions I never have written
- 20:37with the intention of putting it on TikTok.
- 20:40And the reason my song Happy Ending blew up on TikTok was
- 20:43because of me and just from posting it and like being honest
- 20:46about what it was about and how I felt and that's why people
- 20:50liked and connected with it. I'm like, that doesn't make it a
- 20:52TikTok song. It's just a good song.
- 20:55I'm like not an insult. I'm like.
- 20:57I feel like they want to like, discredit you.
- 21:00And I feel like a lot of like people who begin on TikTok, who
- 21:02begin as content creators, they're just not taken seriously
- 21:05in general. Like even when they become an
- 21:06actor and like they're like, oh, well, they made TikTok, so
- 21:08that's how they got into the audition.
- 21:10But it's just like, you guys realistically, like content
- 21:13creation is entertainment. This is still entertainment.
- 21:16And I feel like this is the next generation of Hollywood.
- 21:18Like you're going to see all of us in these next iterations in
- 21:22mainstream media, in the music, in the shows, in the movies too.
- 21:25It's just like, it's super unfair that perception.
- 21:28I feel like you've like, I don't see struggle, but you battle it
- 21:31so much, especially because it's like such a large following and
- 21:33like really starting on one thing with you and then moving
- 21:35to music. Definitely, They're just not
- 21:37accepting of it. I see it too all the time.
- 21:39It's it's like the hate tray and they do it to all of them.
- 21:42And I don't know why it's specifically with influencers
- 21:45because there's so many people who are like an actor primarily.
- 21:48And then, you know, they'll start singing too.
- 21:50And maybe they do some other things.
- 21:52And usually people don't say that much about it.
- 21:54But when an influencer does it, it's like, you're bad.
- 21:57You should just keep making videos.
- 21:58This is the worst thing I've ever heard.
- 22:00I'm like, why? Why does it make it bad?
- 22:02You know, people can have more than one talent and want to
- 22:05explore more than one talent. I'm like, I don't know.
- 22:08So same thing of, you know, influencer making a podcast,
- 22:10same thing as influencer making a song.
- 22:12Yeah. Or going to act and like.
- 22:14You know, you do what you want. Like, you should let everyone
- 22:16explore. I think people like, love this
- 22:18idea that people should be one thing, which is crazy because
- 22:20like. You can explore, you got a lot
- 22:21of life to live girl, do what you want.
- 22:23Do everything you should do everything.
- 22:25Right. So many years, hopefully.
- 22:27I think people need to be more open minded to it.
- 22:28And that's what's crazy too, because people like are just so
- 22:31like, no, but you do this and I know you for this, so you should
- 22:33just keep doing this. And it's like.
- 22:35So and I'm like, I cannot do something else right now.
- 22:38I want to do something else too. Exactly.
- 22:39And I'm going to do something else.
- 22:41So I love that you're being brave about that, especially
- 22:42with all the comments. Like fuck dude.
- 22:44Yeah, it's hard to fight them, honestly.
- 22:46A lot of people want the old content back and it's just, it's
- 22:49still there. Yeah, some of it's there.
- 22:51And I kind of do it in a different way now that makes me
- 22:54more comfortable. But I was like, you know, this
- 22:56is my job and I've been doing it for so long.
- 22:58I'm like, I'm not going to make myself uncomfortable to please
- 23:01other people. And, you know, I've taken some
- 23:03hits from like, not doing the old content anymore, Like not as
- 23:07many people are engaged, but I kind of knew that was going to
- 23:10happen. But a lot of them are, you know,
- 23:12keeping there for the music. And that's what I want.
- 23:15I was like, you know, the content's kind of on the side
- 23:17now. Yeah.
- 23:18And honestly, you want the fans who are going to really resonate
- 23:20with the music because I always say this like, I used to get so
- 23:22discouraged when people would unfollow me.
- 23:23And at that, at the same time, I kind of think about it when I'm
- 23:26like, well, the people who are staying are the people that I
- 23:28want to make this for, that I want to do this for.
- 23:31And that's like wedding out the people who aren't necessarily
- 23:34going to be the most supportive anyways, 100%.
- 23:36And if they're going to be like that, then yeah, bye.
- 23:39You can go literally. Be good, be good over here then.
- 23:42So how was the reception on your first headlining tour, the Happy
- 23:46Ending Tour? Congratulations.
- 23:47Thank you. Yeah, they were great.
- 23:49I honestly was like, shocked that people, it was like
- 23:53translating into real life human beings, especially after being
- 23:56such an introvert and being on my phone all the time.
- 23:59I'm like 100%, you guys are real people.
- 24:01And it's just like, amazed me that people all over the US
- 24:04wanted to come and watch me. Yeah.
- 24:05And it was so magical. I loved it.
- 24:07It was definitely a fun first tour experience.
- 24:10That's so crazy, especially because, like, you know,
- 24:12starting during the pandemic, this is during the lockdown,
- 24:14you're posting videos online. And now it's like they're right
- 24:16in front of you. They're singing it back to you.
- 24:18They came out to see you, right? That is correct.
- 24:20Never thought I would go on tour starting this either.
- 24:23Yeah and I was wanting to be a YouTube and somehow I did AUS
- 24:26tour. I was like, we took a turn.
- 24:28You're doing all of it right. Oh my gosh.
- 24:30And that's honestly, and I like all the online hate.
- 24:32It's like it's not going to translate into the, you know,
- 24:35the shows, the audience. It's only the nice people.
- 24:37People don't come to hate. And luckily I didn't have anyone
- 24:40even like hateful at my concerts at all.
- 24:43Because, you know, sometimes people go to concerts and still
- 24:46complain. Oh my God.
- 24:47I have a. Problem with it I'm like, nobody
- 24:49had really said that to me. They were all like so excited It
- 24:51was a lot of little kids, but they were the cutest things I've
- 24:54ever seen Oh my God, I'm here for it I'm like, they're gonna
- 24:57grow up with me and someone has to introduce them to rock music
- 24:59It'll be me. I'm.
- 25:00Here, there. Yeah, I'm like I'm making them a
- 25:03fan early on. I love that.
- 25:05Wait, do you consider yourself like a role model?
- 25:06Do you want to be a role model? I think so.
- 25:09I it's a little confusing for me.
- 25:11I'm like, I have like a potty mouth.
- 25:12But yeah, otherwise I'm a pretty, I think, good person for
- 25:15kids to look up to. It I mean, you are, we've been
- 25:17hanging out like this entire like morning and like you've
- 25:20been so lovely. Oh, thank you.
- 25:22Very lovely. Try to be, you know, I'm like,
- 25:24you gotta preach the right things to your audience.
- 25:27I'm like I always say, like dedication and like hard.
- 25:29Work I love. That gets you far and being nice
- 25:31gets you so much further than being me.
- 25:33And so I'm like 100% nothing to be like, you know, friendly and
- 25:37a. 100% no hate comments y'all. Right.
- 25:39Never. Never hate comment, we're just
- 25:42all positivity here. So with Loser in this album, the
- 25:45entire process of making it, first I want to tell you love
- 25:47the album cover. Thank you.
- 25:49Stunning. I loved it.
- 25:50It was so cute and pink. I love it.
- 25:52Oh my God, I fucking love it. Favorite color?
- 25:55How was that process of making that album?
- 25:57It was really fun. Honestly.
- 25:59The cover art kind of came about after the album had taken an
- 26:02entire year and I had been sitting on these songs for so
- 26:06long and it was kind of the first time I ventured out with
- 26:08different producers and different songwriters.
- 26:11And it was really fun for me. I was like taking a tour of all
- 26:14these rock producers and made so many songs that I connected with
- 26:18and like I have some of my favorites off the album and I
- 26:21had never seen like that many of my songs together at once so.
- 26:24It was like a collection. It was, it was so exciting for
- 26:27me when it came out. I was like, oh, these are real
- 26:30and people can listen to these right now.
- 26:32Oh my God, that's super exciting.
- 26:34And you're obviously working on new music.
- 26:35You just put out fear of going out.
- 26:37Yes, which is very in vain of loser with your, you know,
- 26:40self-awareness. Right.
- 26:42You're saying a self aware? Queen.
- 26:44She is a self aware queen. I love that because I feel like
- 26:46I'm very self aware too, honestly.
- 26:48Oh my God, yeah, same. That's super interesting.
- 26:51Now I'm like really clocking. But what's coming next?
- 26:54I know you have new music coming out soon too.
- 26:56Yes, I'm working on another album.
- 26:59Honestly, it's not like an official announcement.
- 27:02I'm like another album winner, but I definitely am working on
- 27:06it. I don't have a date at all, but
- 27:08I'm releasing another single called Critical on November
- 27:1114th. So soon for everybody on the
- 27:14next rollout. Should be fun.
- 27:16Yes, Oh my God, wait, we're so excited and it's still going to
- 27:18be in the same like, vein as the rock, 'cause I know you've been
- 27:21the rock genre, but you've been exploring different facets of
- 27:24rock, right? Are you holding down on like 1?
- 27:27Kind of like part of it? Are you finding out what you
- 27:29love? Yeah, I, I where are we going
- 27:31in? I think I'm gonna shock people a
- 27:34little bit. Because.
- 27:35I am. I'm going a little bit heavier
- 27:37than I did before. I think really we've kind of
- 27:39outgrown the pop rock aspect of it.
- 27:42Yeah, people are still gonna tell me it's pop.
- 27:44It's definitely got some like pop fun melodies, but it is a
- 27:47very heavy track 'cause. I feel like fear of going out is
- 27:50like it's hard hitting. Pretty grungy, yeah.
- 27:53I wouldn't consider that pop whatsoever.
- 27:54I don't know if anyone else has but like I feel like fear of
- 27:56going out. Usually it's.
- 27:57Within my melodies, that's kind of where people, I call it pop
- 28:00allegations because people say that to me all the time.
- 28:02They're like, you make pop music.
- 28:03I'm like, are you, are we listening to the?
- 28:05Same songs like what are? What are you hearing 100%?
- 28:08But this is like, undeniably rock music.
- 28:11Like Headband. Owning it.
- 28:13Yeah, I'm owning it. I love girls, you know, and rock
- 28:16girls. Yeah, absolutely.
- 28:18I mean, you're representing. Hell yeah, I must.
- 28:21So what about for all the loser stands?
- 28:23Like are they going to be excited for the new musics as
- 28:24well? Like if it's going heavier, do
- 28:26you think they're going to be like super, super shocked from
- 28:29the transition? I think maybe a little bit, I'm
- 28:32honestly, you know, I have a little bit of a small fan base
- 28:36with the music and I've definitely made it pretty far
- 28:38with the pop, rock and cutesy fun stuff.
- 28:41But I'm hoping to expand even more and you know, keep those
- 28:44people there and then give them the heavier stuff and hopefully
- 28:47find even more audience that enjoys the same stuff I do
- 28:50because I love heavy music. But I hope they receive it well.
- 28:54It's not too crazy. It's not like screaming death
- 28:58metal or anything, there's literally no screaming in it.
- 29:00It's just really fun, very high quality, good rock.
- 29:03So I think they'll like. It wait, we're all so excited
- 29:06and by the way, everything you said that's true artistry,
- 29:08wanting to grow up, your wanting to grow up your audience and
- 29:11then also letting yourself explore and get deeper of it.
- 29:13I love that you don't pigeonhole yourself that you're not forcing
- 29:15yourself to do one thing. You explored the different
- 29:17avenues of rock. Now you're figuring out like
- 29:19kind of where you want to keep going.
- 29:21That's exciting. Just as a fan of an artist, just
- 29:23seeing them grow. I know your fans are going to
- 29:26love that too. Yeah, definitely.
- 29:27Just feeling disconnected from the pop.
- 29:29I mean, I love Loser, don't get me wrong, but just feeling
- 29:32disconnected after when I was trying to make new songs and
- 29:34like, this isn't right anymore. It's just not.
- 29:37I'm older now, I'm ready. I listen to a lot of heavier
- 29:40music now and I want to make it too.
- 29:42That's where you are right now too.
- 29:44Honestly I don't even really consider loser really that pop
- 29:46to be honest. Really.
- 29:47I know I've kind of people just say that's me all the.
- 29:50Time so I'm self. Aware that there are some pop
- 29:54aspects like super glue is pretty light.
- 29:56I mean, it's not like a heavy rock track or anything.
- 29:58Same with loser like, but there are heavier ones like front row
- 30:01psycho psycho has a breakdown in it and like I think another one
- 30:06what if I is pretty heavy too? Like if there's a breakdown in
- 30:08that one too. I'm like, I don't know that me
- 30:11being like it's heavy. It has a breakdown if.
- 30:14That makes it heavy, then it makes it heavy.
- 30:16But I also think it's like the melodies, like they're catching
- 30:18anything. That's why the pop allegations
- 30:19are coming up. You know what I mean?
- 30:21Because when my Co writer and I were working on this episode we
- 30:23were listening to the album and after every song he would
- 30:27literally be singing the choruses.
- 30:29I love this. Yes, literally.
- 30:31It's super catchy and I think that's what makes a really good
- 30:33song has to stick. You know, definitely.
- 30:35Also, the death of just everything and I.
- 30:37My personal favorite is in Loving Memory.
- 30:39Oh. Thank you, I love loving memory.
- 30:41It's just so interesting because like that concept of like,
- 30:43burying your past self and acknowledging that we change and
- 30:46like we shouldn't even have to be the same or stagnant or
- 30:49static. Can you talk about that song in
- 30:50the process of writing it? Yeah, definitely.
- 30:52It was odd because it actually came about before I decided to
- 30:56like, dye my hair because it really seemed like I had this
- 30:58planned out and then I had the song and I was like, I'm going
- 31:01to dye my hair and do this. I just kind of wrote it and I
- 31:04went into the studio with like the in loving memory idea and
- 31:07then we wrote that. I just wrote down a bunch of
- 31:09keywords like grave and crime and stuff like that.
- 31:12And we made the song. And then I started working with
- 31:15my PR team a couple weeks later and they were like, we think you
- 31:17should dye your hair and be really dramatic.
- 31:20And I was like, yes, I will do that.
- 31:22I am really dramatic and I think this is the best idea ever.
- 31:25I. Love that.
- 31:25And it kind of coincided with the song, like you kind of
- 31:27prophesized it because? I I'm did it on an accident
- 31:30manifested that. I mean, it was like a
- 31:31metaphorical, like death, of course.
- 31:33But now it's like, no, the Old Bailey, this image of what
- 31:37Bailey was, it's completely different now.
- 31:39Yeah, I was like, I kind of did that to myself without even
- 31:42realizing because I wrote it before.
- 31:44Like all these changes happened. I was like, I think I spoke this
- 31:47into existence a little. Bit you literally manifested it.
- 31:49It was. Very different.
- 31:50Absolutely shaking black black hair staying.
- 31:54Yeah, it's staying. Staying.
- 31:56I thought about colors, but the black is just easier.
- 31:58My hair is a lot healthier. Thank you.
- 32:01I like it too. I don't understand the people
- 32:03who are like, you look better blonde.
- 32:04I'm like, no I didn't. People are going to have so many
- 32:06opinions and it's non-stop. And at that point it's just
- 32:09like, whatever I'm going to do, whatever the fuck I want to do.
- 32:11Yeah, definitely. I'm like, it's my hair.
- 32:12What are you going to do, cut it off?
- 32:14I don't really keep it. Absolutely.
- 32:16I don't even know. I hate when people comment
- 32:17things like that because it's like what exactly?
- 32:20Oh my God thank you user 475. I'm going to go bleach my hair
- 32:23right now because of you. Literally, that's exactly what
- 32:26they think we're going to do. Or like the people who come at
- 32:28me for being alternative, I'm like, what do you want me to do?
- 32:31Like throw away all of my black clothes and start wearing colour
- 32:34again? I can't.
- 32:35I already like, this is me. No, literally I'm going to go
- 32:38get all my tattooed laser, wear a blonde wig and throw all of my
- 32:42black items of clothing away. Yeah.
- 32:43The music's going to change. Everything's going.
- 32:44This is me. And they should just accept
- 32:47that. That's crazy.
- 32:48I feel like with the feedback that you get, like it's so much,
- 32:51like you are so much better than me one 'cause I would be
- 32:54crashing out on the daily if people had that many opinions
- 32:57and comments towards me. So how are you seeing like so
- 32:59normal and grounded 'cause you don't even feel like I'm looking
- 33:01at you and you're like whatever, fuck it.
- 33:03I am, well, that's exactly just kind of how I as am as a person.
- 33:06Like I'm not sure I'm very laid back.
- 33:08I'm very. You are dude.
- 33:09Whatever, you're really bad. You don't really bother me.
- 33:12I mean, I just think about it as like, it's probably somebody
- 33:15like in a dark room or like a basement commenting something
- 33:19mean, right? And most of the time they're
- 33:21wrong. I'm like a lot of time when
- 33:22people say it about my music, I get sometimes defensive about
- 33:26the music stuff. I mean, it's personal as.
- 33:28Hell it is. And I'm like people will say
- 33:30like AI wrote this or something and I'm like, this is how I
- 33:34feel. Or people will kind of accuse my
- 33:36music of being like inauthentic in a way and that.
- 33:38Makes no sense 'cause I think if they're actually listening it's
- 33:41such a through thread. Like it's very much.
- 33:43It seems very personal. It's like you'd have to be
- 33:46really honestly psychotic if I was lying for this long about
- 33:49like being alternative and feeling this way.
- 33:52I was like, I came out with romance is dead happy ending,
- 33:55saying like love isn't real, loser, I'm a loser, fear of
- 33:59going out, introverted. I don't like going outside.
- 34:01I'm like, how many times am I going to have to release a song
- 34:04like being sad and runner up too.
- 34:06It's saying I don't feel like enough.
- 34:08My friends don't like me and. It's all cohesive.
- 34:11Yeah, literally. It's all there.
- 34:12It's like this. What do you mean?
- 34:14Like if you're they're just not listening.
- 34:16Yeah, they hear 15 seconds and that's all they form their
- 34:19opinion off of. They like decided who you are
- 34:21for you and that's like insane. Tell them exactly who you are
- 34:24too in your music. So I'm like, OK, that's crazy
- 34:27pretty. Open about it and then they're
- 34:28saying it's inauthentic. I'm like what?
- 34:31But you can't convince. People that you're authentic, if
- 34:34they don't believe you, they don't believe you.
- 34:35But I'm going to keep being this way.
- 34:38You know, it's literally just you.
- 34:39That's the thing. Like I guess if they were to pay
- 34:41attention longer and keep listening, then it's like, wait,
- 34:43what are you talking? Like I even said it earlier, I'm
- 34:45like your music, you have a lot of self-awareness.
- 34:48It's like very self deprecating. It's like it's all in the same
- 34:50vein. It's like, wait, what do you
- 34:52mean? Who else would you be?
- 34:53Like this is how you're feeling? Yeah, I'm like.
- 34:55Also know your upbringing too like your history and
- 34:57everything. Like with money being
- 34:59consecrator Ding of all the comments and everything, I'm
- 35:01like, yeah, it's all there. Yeah, definitely.
- 35:03I was like, I'm pretty open about it.
- 35:05I'm like inauthenticity is not here, it's just me.
- 35:09Artists don't survive when they're like, faking it.
- 35:11I I really feel like. They just can't.
- 35:13I can't fake write songs either. I'm like all my songs are about
- 35:15how I'm feeling. I'm like, I never go in and like
- 35:18lie about, you know, like make up a story.
- 35:20Really. I'm not that kind of writer.
- 35:22I really only write for myself to.
- 35:24I'm the exact same way. Literally I'm the exact same
- 35:27way. Like I have to write about
- 35:28exactly how I'm feeling and I've been writing for other people
- 35:30and I also have to write about how exactly they're feeling.
- 35:32And also I work with this producer and he was telling me,
- 35:36he was telling me a bunch of songs and like, did that really
- 35:38happen in his music and lyrics? And he's like, Oh no, I just
- 35:40made that up. I was like, I feel like I could
- 35:42never just like fake something in the same.
- 35:45You only get so many words you can say in a song.
- 35:47I feel like every word should be impactful and it should be real
- 35:49and it should be like, you know, obviously there are different
- 35:51artists and different things, but that's what I love about
- 35:53your music too. I feel like it's vulnerable, but
- 35:55it's also like a superpower that you're owning all of it.
- 35:58You know for sure. I want to talk about kiss of
- 36:01Death. Oh, love.
- 36:02So with kiss of death, you're literally acknowledging that
- 36:04you're like hurting your loved ones.
- 36:06It's very. It's another self deprecating
- 36:08one, but it's very self reflective.
- 36:11See, this is a sad song. That's why people need to pay
- 36:13attention. I'm like, this is Bailey spin
- 36:15and this is what we're saying. Sad, but it's very self
- 36:17reflective. And I feel I feel like that's so
- 36:19relatable. Like, you know, if even if it's
- 36:22an even if it's unintentional, like you're not trying to hurt
- 36:24someone, you're not trying to like be a type of way or
- 36:26whatever. But if it happens, it happens.
- 36:28Like, I feel like, you know, that wildfire syndrome where
- 36:31it's. Like yeah, definitely it's a
- 36:32little self-destructive. I've definitely that one was
- 36:34inspired off of like the moments I've had, right.
- 36:38You know, I've lost some friends over the years and it was like,
- 36:40I definitely, you know, we've all handled things and not the
- 36:43best way or like, right, it didn't end exactly how you know
- 36:47you would. Have liked it, never does.
- 36:48Yeah, so I was kind of reflecting on that and it was
- 36:52like, you know, the kiss of death is kind of insinuating,
- 36:54like I love you and I'm also gonna ruin this somehow.
- 36:58Poetic. I will find a way.
- 37:00Relatable. Yeah, absolutely.
- 37:01Me too. We've all self sabotage once in
- 37:04a while. I feel like literally exactly
- 37:06that I've been cold, that I'm self-destructive and a self
- 37:09sabotage. So there you.
- 37:10Go. I'm with you, girl.
- 37:11There you go. Shout out Kiss of Death.
- 37:13So I feel that. So Super Glue is a lighter song
- 37:15on the album. I've heard you talk about it
- 37:18before. You came in with that title
- 37:19Super Glue because you thought you liked it was cute.
- 37:21For real. Yeah.
- 37:22So you come in with Super Glue, did you?
- 37:24How did you start building the song off off of the title?
- 37:27I kind of had the idea. I think I had a crush at that
- 37:30moment. I thought of the word super
- 37:31glue. We kind of like built the track
- 37:33out and then I just said the word super glue and I was like,
- 37:36I really like that. I think that's like a really
- 37:37cute idea and it's kind of fun and and catchy.
- 37:41And so we kind of just started talking.
- 37:43There was a lot of writers with me for that one.
- 37:45So we all just kind of started chatting and getting the
- 37:48scenario built up of like me and the crush.
- 37:51And, you know, you're thinking about this person all the time
- 37:54and they won't get off your brain and you might not even
- 37:57really know them that well. Yeah, but I'm like addicted to
- 38:00it. Basically.
- 38:01I'm like gripping on for dear. You're so the same.
- 38:04Literally, that's exactly how I. Am I got me too.
- 38:07Yes, I love like the metaphors and everything that you do, like
- 38:10the visuals, aspects of everything and also love the
- 38:13video for fear of going out. Oh thank you Super rock star
- 38:16girl created everyone go watch it right now.
- 38:19Yes. Please, please watch it.
- 38:21So Rockstar. Thank you.
- 38:23Wait is critical getting a video too?
- 38:25I don't think critical is maybe the.
- 38:26Justice for critical. I know Justice for Critical.
- 38:29Next time it's going to have really cool cover art though.
- 38:31I'm excited. Oh, I believe you.
- 38:33I was telling you literally before we started filming, I was
- 38:35like, I you're on my mood board. Thank you.
- 38:38You are on my mood board. What you give such in everything
- 38:41you do? Like literally are you?
- 38:43Sure. You give, you give, you give,
- 38:45you give. I feel like you own it.
- 38:46Like, I know it's like this whole thing of like people
- 38:49thinking it's inauthentic to you, but I'm like, this is so.
- 38:51Easy when you're authentic. Yeah, exactly.
- 38:53It looks natural. Really easy when you are so
- 38:56locked in the vision. I'm like I make literal
- 38:58PowerPoints. It's so crazy.
- 39:00I make PowerPoints for my singles and I made a PowerPoint
- 39:03for fear of going out. I made one for critical of like
- 39:05styling fashion hair. Like this is how the content is
- 39:09going to work and this is how like the music video would look
- 39:12for fear of going out and how my cover art shoot is going to look
- 39:15and like all that stuff. And it's comes to me so, so
- 39:18easily because it's authentic. It's.
- 39:20Also like your vision? Yeah, definitely.
- 39:22I'm like I know what to do. You guys, we need to beat these
- 39:27Bailey spin inauthentic allegations like I feel like you
- 39:29have been nothing but real really Lulu as fuck this entire
- 39:32time. So I'm like.
- 39:33How many sad songs will it take before people believe?
- 39:36Me. We're about to find out.
- 39:38I got more coming, don't worry. Keep them coming with the new
- 39:42music that's coming out with fear of going out like the lead
- 39:44off this next project. I know you're still working on
- 39:47it. You said that you know you don't
- 39:48have a date or anything, but you are working on the second album.
- 39:50Yeah, yeah, it was the first single off of it, definitely.
- 39:53I think the last one's going to be like the lead single
- 39:57critical. We're just giving people like a
- 39:59little taste of what they shouldn't be.
- 40:01Back into this new world. Definitely.
- 40:03You know, fear of going out was a little grungy and then
- 40:05critical is still grungy but heavy.
- 40:08And honestly the only thing I can give away, it's very
- 40:11evanescence of me. We're so excited.
- 40:13Very fun, so I'm excited for that.
- 40:16Oh my gosh. And so how far along are you
- 40:18with making this album right now?
- 40:20I'm honestly like maybe halfway. I was counting them out the
- 40:24other night because I have so many demos in a folder that I
- 40:26had to like list out the ones that I approve and like will be
- 40:29on the album, but I think I maybe have like 6 or 7.
- 40:33It's going to be longer than the last one.
- 40:34People were kind of mad at me because the last album was like
- 40:378 songs, but I was like, that's what my deal was.
- 40:41That's what I was contracting up getting.
- 40:43You're like I. Was working.
- 40:44What I was only allowed to make 8.
- 40:46That was it, like. You're like, I didn't.
- 40:49Have a choice. I would have liked a longer
- 40:50album. Right.
- 40:51I would. And it will be longer, don't
- 40:53worry. OK well honestly like Loser was,
- 40:56I mean like 8 is a short album, but like I feel like it was a
- 40:59perfect world. It is.
- 41:00It's a baby album. I call it that.
- 41:02I had an EP. Yeah, we did a little more, not
- 41:05too much. We didn't go too crazy.
- 41:06So I think it was a little stepping stone.
- 41:08We growing, yeah. We grown so.
- 41:10Album 2 is going to be longer. We're super.
- 41:12Excited. Definitely.
- 41:13OK, so if you're going out critical, these are going to be
- 41:16on the album though. Yes, they will be.
- 41:17OK. I don't even know where on the
- 41:19album yet. Like that's where we are right
- 41:21now. I don't even.
- 41:22They're all just like in a notes app.
- 41:24They're not even like there's no plan.
- 41:26We're still in the process of conceptualizing it.
- 41:28Obviously when the album comes out, you have to come back
- 41:30because we need to deep dive everything.
- 41:31Yes, I'm so excited. Like I feel like very hyped.
- 41:33About this right now. I know.
- 41:35And then we're gonna reference this and like, remember when you
- 41:37didn't say anything about? Right and.
- 41:39Then we'll we'll get back into it.
- 41:41Yeah. So with the Happy ending tour,
- 41:44huge success. Congratulations.
- 41:46Are you going to tour again soon?
- 41:47What are you thinking you're going to do?
- 41:48Any shows? Yeah, I want to.
- 41:50I'm trying to do some more shows soon.
- 41:52Anytime they're presented to me, I'm like, yes, yeah, yeah, I
- 41:56love performing. I definitely would love to do a
- 41:58headline. I think right now, too.
- 41:59I've always wanted to open for people just because I think it
- 42:02would be so much fun, especially if I'm a big fan of the artist.
- 42:05Yeah, hell yeah. We've been putting me out to
- 42:07some of the bands that I like and some of the people I like,
- 42:09so hopefully someone will say yes.
- 42:11Soon they're going to say yes. You hear this, let me on your
- 42:13tour. I'll be great, I promise.
- 42:15Every everyone watching right now, please have Bailey open.
- 42:18Let me on. Yes, put you on the stage
- 42:20please. I love that.
- 42:21So did you feel like when you start performing 'cause you know
- 42:23how you didn't initially feel like growing up?
- 42:25Like I want to be an artist? Like was that a transition for
- 42:27you to like getting on the stage for the first time 'cause I
- 42:29remember you mentioned the first performance you ever did.
- 42:31It was like they give you like 45 minutes, you had like 50
- 42:34minutes before you just jump on a stage.
- 42:36Yeah. Oh yes, I did ATV performance.
- 42:39This was crazy. This was lore.
- 42:42I don't know why. Through a different company a
- 42:44while ago, I got an opportunity to go sing on a show, like a
- 42:48live TV show. I had never sang live in my life
- 42:51other than like a talent show when I was in like 7th grade.
- 42:54So I was like, yeah, sure. I mean, I guess.
- 42:57And so I went on and did it. I didn't sound very great and I
- 43:01had never done it before or I didn't like necessarily look
- 43:03awkward. But I mean, I just definitely
- 43:06didn't sound great because I was one nervous.
- 43:08It was a live studio audience. They put no tune on it
- 43:12whatsoever and I had never sang live in my life.
- 43:15So I'm fighting nerves. I'm like, I had flown to New
- 43:18York to do it and then I'm like, Oh my gosh, there are people
- 43:22staring at me and I don't know what's happening.
- 43:23And they don't know my song either.
- 43:25When it it's my own tour, I'm like, they're so excited.
- 43:28They're there for you. They bought the ticket for you.
- 43:30They're familiar. The audience is just like.
- 43:33Yeah, they're like, who's this? Literally, yeah, that's fine.
- 43:37But my my own tours were better for sure.
- 43:39They were great. That's your comfort zone too,
- 43:41you know, These are your fans that are coming out to see you
- 43:43for sure. Oh, my gosh.
- 43:44I feel like I would thrive if someone told me.
- 43:46Like if someone told me right now, like Charlie was like, OK,
- 43:48you're going to go perform right now here in like 20 minutes.
- 43:50I'm like, great, let's go. Yeah.
- 43:52Me. Too I love I prime under
- 43:54pressure yes literally also I just love performing and I
- 43:56living on stage so like anything put me up there I don't care
- 43:59what it's for I. Lock in.
- 44:00I'm like Hannah Montana. It's like another personality.
- 44:03For sure. Oh my God, yes.
- 44:04I feel like especially even with artistry, especially with
- 44:07artistry, it's like you become a more empowered version of
- 44:11yourself. You have to.
- 44:11You're a performer. For sure.
- 44:13I'm like, it really is two different people.
- 44:14I kind of separate it too, because it's, it was like even
- 44:17when I'm promoting my music, there's just a certain way I
- 44:20want to come across and I'm feel like I'm very like LAX and as a
- 44:24person, I wear a lot of T-shirts and you're.
- 44:26Like so chill dude. Thank you.
- 44:28Wait, can I tell all the delulus like we you got to set on time,
- 44:32which I so appreciate you interest in and then also this
- 44:35set today is such a mess. Guys.
- 44:37They the production through a fucking giant ass Halloween
- 44:40party the night prior. They were tearing everything
- 44:42down. It is so messy.
- 44:43It is so noisy. I don't have my full team with
- 44:46me today and you heard so chill this entire time.
- 44:50Oh my God, I was like I was like, I'm sweating because I was
- 44:53like, you know, your publicist Tristan came before on a
- 44:56different a different episode, a different guest and that
- 44:59production was tight. It was so good.
- 45:02Everything was everything went exactly how I needed to go.
- 45:04And I was like, she's going to expect that again.
- 45:06And I was like, and I walk onto set today and everything's a
- 45:08fucking disaster. I was like, OK, let's do this.
- 45:11But you're so chill. I'm so grateful for that.
- 45:14Like, thank you. So much I'm relaxed, I don't
- 45:17really mind, but I'm like the performing Bailey is the one
- 45:19that is not relaxed. I don't know.
- 45:21I I'm very like not that tense in like my regular life.
- 45:24Totally. Sometimes I feel more tense on
- 45:26the stage and then I have to like kind of double down and
- 45:29fight it. So I'm like, I am Hannah Montana
- 45:32and this is my other personality.
- 45:35It's like Belina, that's not me. I love that.
- 45:39OK. Well, Belina slaying it.
- 45:40Thank you. We're excited about that.
- 45:42OK. Well, Bailey, I know we talked
- 45:44about earlier how you would like to be a role model like you
- 45:47would hope to be a role model, right?
- 45:48We're going to test your role model schools.
- 45:49Right now we're playing a little game.
- 45:52This is WWAGD. What would a Dulu girl do?
- 45:55So we have some fan submitted questions and do they wanna know
- 45:59our Dulu advice, our takes on it, what we're thinking?
- 46:02Are you ready? Yeah.
- 46:03OK. So our first one is I cheated on
- 46:06my ex and I want them back. What should I do?
- 46:09What should I do? Bailey.
- 46:10You shouldn't have cheated in the 1st place.
- 46:13Hard no I'm sorry. I think you need.
- 46:15To do some better. You need to do some self
- 46:18reflection maybe. And if you really truly think
- 46:21you change the person and you're not going to hurt them like that
- 46:23again, then you can reapproach it.
- 46:25But I genuinely think you need to look in the mirror and think
- 46:29about what you've done because that is really hurtful.
- 46:32It's so hurtful. I'm against cheating unless
- 46:34you're, you know, Polly. But if I mean that's.
- 46:36The two of you though. Yeah.
- 46:38Definitely. That's something that you have
- 46:39to like kind of be on the same page.
- 46:41That's the thing. I feel like cheating is such
- 46:42such a nuanced thing for not a nuance, obviously terrible, bad,
- 46:45don't do it. But my point is I'm just like
- 46:47it's so like I just can't ever wrap my mind around it myself
- 46:50because I'm like if I love someone, I wouldn't.
- 46:53I couldn't even I. Don't.
- 46:54Absolutely not. You don't love them if you cheat
- 46:56on them. And I say that all the time
- 46:57because you would not do that. Like that is so awful.
- 47:01TI even feel like because that's such a drastic uptake when I
- 47:04like someone I don't even find other people attractive.
- 47:06I. Don't look anymore.
- 47:07I'm like that too. I'm like hard eye.
- 47:09Emoji for them and then everyone else I'm just like whatever, I
- 47:12don't care, I don't want to look at it.
- 47:13So that's crazy. I can't even imagine that.
- 47:16I guess my advice would be grow. Grow.
- 47:22Change reflect, reflect, stream loser and reflect right?
- 47:27OK so we have another one. This is from anonymous bestie,
- 47:31my ex situation. Ship won't leave me alone but I
- 47:34want to move on. What should we do here?
- 47:36Blocked. No way.
- 47:39Yeah, but OK, first of all, red flag your situation, Chip.
- 47:42Don't do that. Don't.
- 47:43That's not a word. I hate that word.
- 47:45I that's not a thing. You're either talking slash
- 47:48dating or you're in a relationship or you're friends.
- 47:51There's no what is a situation, Chip?
- 47:53If this is going on for many, many months, it can be hard to
- 47:56like let go of that person, but you have to at a certain point
- 47:59be like what's happening here? Where is this going?
- 48:02Yes, set a boundary. I mean, if you're both cool with
- 48:04it, then stay in your situation, Chip.
- 48:07But I mean, if they won't leave you alone, block them like, and
- 48:10if you don't want them to be there, I mean, obviously if
- 48:12you're still attached, like do whatever girl.
- 48:14But if you don't want them blocked, I'm like, you let them
- 48:18use a burner. I'm like just don't answer them.
- 48:21Damn. Stop.
- 48:22I'm brutal. You're brutal.
- 48:24I'm scared. I feel like you're talking to
- 48:25me, but I feel like I like that attention.
- 48:27So I would be like, I guess I would just like ignore them.
- 48:30I wouldn't block them because I really want to see them
- 48:32continuing to like. Right.
- 48:34Well then, then you could just use a burner.
- 48:36Everybody has a burner. They're just going to make
- 48:38another Instagram. If you wait, do you guys want
- 48:40tea? I do not have a burner.
- 48:41Really. I don't have, I don't have a
- 48:42burner. I don't have a close friend.
- 48:44Log out because I'm too into a stalker.
- 48:47You were sleeping on that. Shit, yeah.
- 48:49I was like, girl, this is really bad for your health.
- 48:51No. I had to literally delete the
- 48:53account. I was like, OK, we're done.
- 48:54You're sending the boundaries for yourself, yes.
- 48:56OK, I think that's good to do too.
- 48:58I'm like, honestly, you should not have the burner account, but
- 49:01I'm, I was there with you, so I'm not judging you.
- 49:04I am here for you. I don't.
- 49:05Have anything I just don't even I don't I don't have the time to
- 49:07fucking even post on my own stories so that's why I don't
- 49:09have a close friends and then also like I.
- 49:10Care too much I. I need to get better at it
- 49:13because technically my job, but I'm so bad at social media in
- 49:16the sense where it's like, I need to post about this.
- 49:18And I think things happen in my life so quickly that I'm like, I
- 49:20can't even post about it because I'm like, OK, well, the next
- 49:21thing happened, you know what I mean?
- 49:22Like that Halloween thing I went to last night, like I it's gone,
- 49:25it's over. It's over.
- 49:26It's happened. I didn't post about it.
- 49:28Next thing, yeah. Exactly.
- 49:30And then I'm willing I have to do these dumps and it's just
- 49:32such a chore. It's like such a part of the
- 49:33job, obviously. So I wanted to talk to you about
- 49:35this because I feel like in this day and age, musicians have to
- 49:38be content creators. But of course, you started as a
- 49:41massive content creator and now they go hand in hand.
- 49:44You've been integrating your music into your POV content and
- 49:46also really intentionally posting about your music more so
- 49:50than your content. So what was that transition
- 49:52like? Was that intentional for you?
- 49:53Yeah, it definitely was intentional and I wanted people
- 49:57to not be mad at me for getting rid of the content, but kind of
- 50:00see that this is my dream. And it's not that I don't love
- 50:03creating content or anything. I just really love making music
- 50:07and putting like 110% effort into something is the only way.
- 50:11And I had to convince people, you know, like this is what I
- 50:14want to do. This is what I like to do.
- 50:16People are a little skeptical, but I think just trying every
- 50:19single day to get them to believe me it.
- 50:21Sucks that you have to still prove yourself.
- 50:23It's like, why don't have to prove to you that I want to be
- 50:24an artist? Can I just be an artist?
- 50:26Yeah, yeah, they just don't want that to happen, you know, again,
- 50:28with like being in a box and they're just very, like I say,
- 50:31people are closed minded about it and I really don't understand
- 50:36that perspective. Maybe just because I'm an
- 50:37influencer, but I'm like, do whatever you want, girl.
- 50:40Like, absolutely. And it's like you guys are
- 50:42missing out on like great artistry, great music because
- 50:44like, you can't fathom the idea of like someone who made videos
- 50:47might want to pursue another Ave. of entertainment, you know?
- 50:50What I mean, right, I think creativity a lot of the time can
- 50:52like flow and to other things. And I was creative in like skit
- 50:56writing on TikTok, which also skit writing is still writing
- 51:00even though it's in a silly way, you know?
- 51:02I was making. Crazy plots I obviously.
- 51:04Were. Some kind of creativity
- 51:06happening. So I just like transferred it
- 51:09over. It was like a skit writer to
- 51:10songwriter. Girl, you were making movies.
- 51:13You were like subplots. Oh yeah, they were.
- 51:15Like crossover like. An hour long.
- 51:18When I was following, I was like, where's the next part,
- 51:22guys? I'm like we gonna we gonna take
- 51:23it all all the way I. Need a resolutionary?
- 51:26Super talented. Exactly that.
- 51:27It's like you've been writing. So it's like now I'm just
- 51:29writing in a different way. And it's right.
- 51:30It's still a part of me. Everything's still a part.
- 51:32It's honestly more honest than like, the POV.
- 51:34It's because that's not who I am.
- 51:36Yeah, I would put on a character and I'd be very, like, eccentric
- 51:39I and happy. And I think that's also why
- 51:41people got confused when I went alternative.
- 51:43And kind of you could tell from my music, if you did listen to
- 51:46it, that, you know, they were introspective and sad.
- 51:49But the way you look at me online, people thought I was
- 51:51like this happy, bubbly, blonde, fun girl and that I was blonde
- 51:56for sure. I don't know if I was any of the
- 51:58rest of those things. Yeah, I came across that way.
- 52:02And so I think that's what was jarring.
- 52:03It was like, I've been alternative the whole time, but
- 52:06I just wasn't sharing it. I just literally wasn't.
- 52:09I never posted about music or anything that I listened to
- 52:12before that. So how would they know?
- 52:15It's weird because it's just like, how much of yourself do
- 52:16you, are you willing to share? And then it was like, why should
- 52:18you have to? Like, you know what I mean?
- 52:20And it's like, it's still you and you can reflect it in your
- 52:23music or whatever. And people were just like, got
- 52:24so like up in arms about change or things being different, which
- 52:28is so incredibly silly. Yeah.
- 52:31They're missing out I. Hate change.
- 52:33I love change. I'm.
- 52:34At the point now where I you, I just have to embrace change.
- 52:38Yeah, I feel like I've. Never liked change, but I'm
- 52:40like, whatever, here we are. Let's just let's just rock and.
- 52:42Roll. That's it.
- 52:43OK sorry about that tangent but we have a topical question here.
- 52:47So my boyfriend refuses to do couples costumes with me for
- 52:50Halloween. What should I do?
- 52:52That's a red flag. You think so?
- 52:55Yeah, I mean, unless you're like asking him to dress up as
- 52:57something crazy like Shrek. Why don't you want to do a
- 53:00couple's costume like? Yeah, what do you mean?
- 53:02Why are you in a couple if you want to do a couple's costume?
- 53:04100%. I hate people that are like
- 53:06hateful like that on holidays. Like even if you're like, I just
- 53:10don't want to wear a costume. It's.
- 53:11Like. You're boring, then you're so.
- 53:13Boring, but you guys want tea? OK, so I'm going to be a traffic
- 53:18cone. Cute.
- 53:19And Brett is going to be a crossing guard.
- 53:21I love that. See, like that's adorable.
- 53:23Cute. That is so cute.
- 53:25Oh my God, I know. I'm so excited.
- 53:27I. Understand someone saying no, if
- 53:29it was like I'm going to be a Princess Shrek and you can be
- 53:32Shrek, Princess Shrek, Princess Fiona and you can be Shrek the
- 53:36Green Giant ogre, I'm like, I'd be a little mad about like that
- 53:40you. Know salty?
- 53:41Oh for sure. No, just cute old traffic cone
- 53:44and crossing guards. Peanut butter and Jelly.
- 53:46Cute. Literally.
- 53:47OK wait, actually if they I guess if the if the costume.
- 53:50Here's my advice. If the costume is like, yeah,
- 53:52you're going to be like a turd and going to be like a fairy or
- 53:54whatever, then I don't know. We've been limits together.
- 53:57Like we need a little more nuance here.
- 53:58But yeah, no, honestly, if your boyfriend doesn't want to do a
- 54:01couple's costume with you, they're so boring.
- 54:03That is boring. That's a red flag.
- 54:05Halloween's like once a year. Do it.
- 54:07It's not that hard to like come to a compromise about it.
- 54:09Like even if you maybe pick something that they don't want
- 54:11to wear, there are so many couples costumes in the world.
- 54:14Like he could pick it too. Or like whoever is the one that
- 54:18doesn't want to do. It I love a matchy matchy
- 54:19moment. Right, I love match.
- 54:21We could both be the the same thing.
- 54:22You can pick it, it doesn't. I'm like, if you just don't want
- 54:25to dress up and won't come to a compromise, that's rude.
- 54:29Red flag. I agree with you because then
- 54:30it's also just like, OK, then not to make it deeper than it
- 54:32is, but then I'm like, what else are you like not ready to do
- 54:35with? Me, it's a simple thing to make
- 54:37your partner happy like that. I mean obviously unless they're
- 54:40asking you to buy like $1000 costume or something, but.
- 54:43Crazy, right? Yeah.
- 54:44Just go to Party City, it's not that difficult.
- 54:45To figure it out. Be devil and Angel like come on.
- 54:48Simple, literally peanut butter Jelly.
- 54:50Leave a traffic code and crossing guard.
- 54:52Yeah, we're queuing a picture right here.
- 54:54Bryant, that was us on Halloween, So it didn't happen
- 54:59yet. But we're.
- 55:00We're jumping to the future. This Is Us.
- 55:01We look so cute. So cute.
- 55:03I love that. And that was all great advice.
- 55:04You're very strict on your relationship.
- 55:06Strike program. Very strict, so funny we're
- 55:08talking about it because you're just so laid back and chill.
- 55:10But when it came to the relationships and anything,
- 55:12you're like, no, cut it off and it would you feel like you're
- 55:16like on your own relationships, obviously.
- 55:20I do have a lot of boundaries. I think that's why I stay
- 55:22single. I think I just know what I want
- 55:24to and I'm genuinely one of those people.
- 55:26I'm like, I know I'm 23 but date to marry.
- 55:29I'm like, I'm really not going to like waste my time and like
- 55:33the dating scene. I really just, if I don't see a
- 55:35future with you genuinely, I'm not going to keep dating you and
- 55:39I'm so. Happy being.
- 55:40Single. I'm just so work oriented that
- 55:43like and I'm so happy being single because I've been single
- 55:45for so long that it really is a strike program.
- 55:48I'm like, I know what I want, I know what will compliment me too
- 55:51and like what I'm looking for and.
- 55:53You're not willing to settle. You know I'm not willing to
- 55:55settle. Good period.
- 55:56The bar is up here. Period.
- 55:59It's on the ceiling, girl, not the floor.
- 56:00I love that. That's so good and I'm so work
- 56:03oriented too. And also I get so fucking like
- 56:06disastrously, disastrously disasterly.
- 56:10I get horribly obsessed with like my fixations.
- 56:14If I like someone like I will give you everything like I think
- 56:16I would. Even my biggest thing in my
- 56:18life, and everyone knows this, anyone who knows me at all is my
- 56:21career. I love my career, I love what I
- 56:23do. I want my career to continue to
- 56:25grow, but I feel like I would give it up and sacrifice it if
- 56:28like a man or someone that I really, really loved or
- 56:31something Like, I don't know why they would ever ask me to, but I
- 56:34think I would, you know, which is terrible.
- 56:36If I would, unless they were like really, really rich, maybe
- 56:40then I would get. But I would still want to do it
- 56:42like I have to create. Yeah, I'd want to still make
- 56:44music though. But if I had like maybe in a
- 56:47different, maybe not like specifically music.
- 56:49If I had a different job and I was like, this doesn't mean that
- 56:52much to me. Bye.
- 56:54See, I mean, I would love it if I would just like have to work
- 56:57Saff literally. OK, I'm open to that.
- 57:00Yeah. Anyone.
- 57:01Anyone open to all of it? Well, OK Bailey, we've been
- 57:04getting along so great this entire time.
- 57:05You've been so chilled before, before this started, but
- 57:08obviously you've been dealing with a lot of hate comments, you
- 57:11got a lot of opinions. We just got targeted for another
- 57:15one together and the Dululu PR team just sent this in this
- 57:18morning and it is about us. So obviously, you know, we've
- 57:22been on Battle of the Bands together and it's been fiercely
- 57:26competitive. We're so chill of each other.
- 57:28But the rumors are swirling. But can you read this article
- 57:31for us? This is from Delulu Daily, which
- 57:34is the DCU Delulu Cinematic Universe version of TMZ.
- 57:38OK. OK, can you read it aloud?
- 57:40I'm scared. I'm scared too.
- 57:43Over the top line too. Yeah, OK.
- 57:46OK. POV Ryan Lu steals the spotlight
- 57:49from Bailey Spin and a shocking twist at a battle of the bands.
- 57:55Ryan Liu has quickly become the fan favorite to beat out former
- 57:59POV queen turned rock artist Bailey's fan.
- 58:03Ryan's performance of Rockstar by Hannah Montana was not only a
- 58:08showstopper, insiders are calling it a strategic and shady
- 58:12choice. A playful jab at Bailey's rocker
- 58:16booths. The bold move paid off
- 58:18completely, winning over the audience and the entire panel of
- 58:22judges who were reportedly speechless after her set,
- 58:27Sources say Even backstage energy is tense, with the
- 58:30competition turning into a full on cultural moment with the two
- 58:34stars duking it out at the top. The only question now is who
- 58:38will be crowned the winner. Well, Bailey, I've been rooting
- 58:41for you this entire time. I've been waiting for you.
- 58:45Thank you. I do want to clear up the
- 58:47rumors. I did do Rockstar by Hannah
- 58:48Montana because it's a shady little jab, but it's all in the
- 58:52the name of entertainment. I.
- 58:54Can't believe you'd do that. It's my favorite song too.
- 58:56I mean, I knew that too, so it was also me paying homage to
- 58:58you, right? Because you're also having a
- 59:00tribute, yeah. Baileana.
- 59:02Baileana, that's so flattering. Exactly.
- 59:04So it was a little bit of both the tribute act.
- 59:07Oh, tribute act. OK, OK, OK, OK.
- 59:10Dedication. Well, it was a little bit of
- 59:12everything for you in the true nature sure of loser, you know,
- 59:15but I am rooting for you to win. I think it's, I think it is
- 59:19going to be me as the winner. I mean, I think it's going to be
- 59:22you I I have a song called Runner Up, so I think I already
- 59:25put myself there. Right, and then also manifested
- 59:27with sex to suck loser. Yeah, loser.
- 59:31Yeah, runner up. I'm really not setting myself up
- 59:33for victory here. I mean, the expectations for
- 59:36yourself are just. The bar is low.
- 59:38The bar is low when it comes to this, but in dating, in
- 59:42relationship, the bar is high. But we're going to work on the
- 59:44remix, obviously. Love your reading for you.
- 59:46Yeah, May the best Rockstar win. I hope so me.
- 59:51OK, we'll see. I mean, my album coming out is
- 59:54winner so. Wow.
- 59:57Well, mine's called double winner.
- 1:00:00Double winner winner, winner. We're going to get my PR on this
- 1:00:04ASAP and clear that up. Trademark.
- 1:00:09OK, well, so sorry about that. Be the best Rockstar win
- 1:00:12obviously. Yes and I will.
- 1:00:15I will mention you when I do so I ask all my guests this on
- 1:00:19every show. What is your most delulu take?
- 1:00:22What do you think is most delusional thing to be silly,
- 1:00:24controversial fun? I think the way I even became an
- 1:00:28influencer was literally out of sheer delusion.
- 1:00:31Like when I wanted to be a YouTube at 15, did I ever think
- 1:00:35I was going to do that? No.
- 1:00:36And I got famous for such an obscure thing.
- 1:00:39But I'm like, girl, if you see a, if you have a chance, run,
- 1:00:44run with it. It's grab on and run.
- 1:00:46That's what I did. Yeah.
- 1:00:48We're going as far as this will take us.
- 1:00:51And I was so delusional about it.
- 1:00:53I was just like, I mean, I didn't even really think like I
- 1:00:55would manifest. It's like blowing up and it
- 1:00:58really happened to me. Yeah, you have to manifest it
- 1:01:01and it will happen. But you have to think about it
- 1:01:03physically being yours and be delusional about it.
- 1:01:06And I'm still delusional of like I see myself at when we were
- 1:01:09young, I see myself at warp tour, you know, it's like maybe
- 1:01:12next year, maybe after that, you know, but I see myself there and
- 1:01:15I I vision myself performing at big stages all the time because
- 1:01:18one day it's going to happen. And one day I'm going to be
- 1:01:20like, my prophecy was right. I didn't love that.
- 1:01:23We're going to pull up these clips of you talking about it.
- 1:01:25I can easily see you doing all of that and more obviously.
- 1:01:28I hope so, I definitely could. Easily.
- 1:01:30Are you kidding? You're getting there.
- 1:01:32Wait, I'm so excited and I'm going to be there.
- 1:01:35Yeah, Oh yeah, you'll be side stage period.
- 1:01:37Good view. Love it, I'll take content for
- 1:01:39you. Love that POV side stage every
- 1:01:41Thursday. Yes I love it.
- 1:01:43I love OK I'm claiming all that I don't.
- 1:01:45I don't even think that's delulu.
- 1:01:46I was very delulu too when I started my TikTok.
- 1:01:48I literally manifest exactly what you said blowing up I wrote
- 1:01:50in my notes app. I was like, I'm manifesting,
- 1:01:53blowing up on TikTok, getting thousands and thousands of
- 1:01:55followers, and then literally the next day I got my first
- 1:01:57viral video. Yeah, you just have to believe.
- 1:01:59And like Gabi Delulu, I sound crazy.
- 1:02:01You have to believe in the universe.
- 1:02:02And I, I put a lot of faith in the universe.
- 1:02:04Me. Too and it worked out.
- 1:02:06It did exactly working out right.
- 1:02:09I'm like, that's why I tell people I'm like, I am living
- 1:02:11proof that you can be delusional and it can work out for you.
- 1:02:13Like, really, well, me. Too, Oh my God, literally be an
- 1:02:16illusion to everyone. You just got to do it.
- 1:02:19OK Bailey, I wanted to guess your Zodiac sign.
- 1:02:21I've been paying attention to everything you've been saying
- 1:02:22this entire time. I have a few guesses based on
- 1:02:24what you've been saying. I thought I had it clocked but
- 1:02:27then you said other things that made me question it.
- 1:02:29So I'm going to give you my 2 guesses and why I think them got
- 1:02:32you and then you can tell me if I'm right or wrong.
- 1:02:34My first guess is going to be Taurus because you're so chill
- 1:02:38and laid back. Very, very, very, very chill.
- 1:02:41I'm not a Taurus. Not a Taurus.
- 1:02:42OK, wait my. Next I knew that kind of throw
- 1:02:44you off. I have a weird moon.
- 1:02:46I have a weird moon sign that is like opposite to my sun.
- 1:02:50Sign, wait, give me a hint. Do you think you?
- 1:02:52Do you think your sun signs obvious to you?
- 1:02:55Your personality? Do you resonate with it?
- 1:02:57Probably more so like my online personality.
- 1:03:00OK. It's like why I'm so good at
- 1:03:03being cringy and unaffected by other people.
- 1:03:06Leo Yeah. Block block, block block.
- 1:03:10That was not even my initial. Thing, it's like Cancer moon,
- 1:03:13which makes so much sense. Yeah, I'm like two different
- 1:03:15people. Exactly.
- 1:03:16I'm so sad on my music and then on my other stuff.
- 1:03:19The big Leona came out. So yeah, literally that's my
- 1:03:22other personality. I'm like the weird sad Leo.
- 1:03:25It's a weird combo of like Cancer in Leo.
- 1:03:28I'm like sad but I'm also the baddest bitch in here period.
- 1:03:32That's the Leo, but I'm crying. Cancer you're exactly that.
- 1:03:35That's so funny, especially reflecting your music cause the
- 1:03:37lyrically obviously it's coming off Saab and then I feel like
- 1:03:39sonically things right? Exactly.
- 1:03:41You're taking it there, OK. Sad but exciting.
- 1:03:43Clocked. My other guess was going to be
- 1:03:44Virgo because you said you made PowerPoints.
- 1:03:46Right organization. Exactly.
- 1:03:49So just a type type A Leo then? Yeah, yeah.
- 1:03:52We love that I I I could totally see Leo now.
- 1:03:56Now that you said it, I could totally see Leo.
- 1:03:58OK, amazing. I.
- 1:03:59Love, attention, me too. Very true about me.
- 1:04:02I fucking love. I'm not a Leo, but I love
- 1:04:04attention. Love, attention.
- 1:04:06It always gives me away. I'm like, I love attention.
- 1:04:08That's so. Interesting, because I don't.
- 1:04:10You didn't come off like you did throughout this entire thing,
- 1:04:12you know what I mean? But now definitely I'm clocking
- 1:04:14it. I feel it.
- 1:04:16It was like, it's more about the energy.
- 1:04:17Like I love walking into a room and like having people stare at
- 1:04:19me. I'm like.
- 1:04:23Me too. No, I love that.
- 1:04:25I literally love that. And I, I feel like I want people
- 1:04:27to look at me wherever I go, everything I'm doing.
- 1:04:29Also, I hate being perceived half the time.
- 1:04:30But then like whatever, you know.
- 1:04:31I'm the same way. I'm like only specific people.
- 1:04:34Kind of, yes, literally if I'm in the mood for it.
- 1:04:37Please, everyone pay attention. OK?
- 1:04:39Well, Bailey, this has been so phenomenal.
- 1:04:41We've honestly had such a great day.
- 1:04:42I'm so sorry about how chaotic the set was today.
- 1:04:44Guys, you have no idea. This is a good memory for me,
- 1:04:47though I did enjoy this. Thank you so much for being
- 1:04:49here. But we close out every show by
- 1:04:51man together, so we already know you're manifesting, performing
- 1:04:55more tour. What else are we thinking?
- 1:04:57What else do you want to speak into existence right here into
- 1:04:59Lulu? Oh, I want my album to blow up.
- 1:05:02You know, I, I want my artist project like a goal I've had.
- 1:05:06I mean, setting my sights high. I'd love to have a million
- 1:05:09monthly listeners but 500500K listeners on Spotify by the end
- 1:05:14of the year. Go to the million you can.
- 1:05:15Have it all. A million in 2026.
- 1:05:18Bailey Spend. World Takeover.
- 1:05:20Yeah, Oh my God. Wait, I'm cleaning all that for
- 1:05:22you too. That's so good.
- 1:05:23And I really want Loser to have its moment too.
- 1:05:25Like, really really before this next album comes.
- 1:05:27Out. Sometimes it takes people
- 1:05:28another project to go back. Yeah, I think he likes to read a
- 1:05:31Carpenter. You know what I mean?
- 1:05:32Yeah, exactly. People were finding it like some
- 1:05:35of it during the time, but then people would also back to emails
- 1:05:37I can't send and be like because the sweetest.
- 1:05:39Now short and sweet and because a man's best friend because they
- 1:05:42blew up. Exactly.
- 1:05:43And also like in this day and age, I always tell this because
- 1:05:47my roommates are artists too. I always tell them I'm like you
- 1:05:50guys like nothing. Is it?
- 1:05:52Just because it comes out now doesn't necessarily mean it's
- 1:05:54gonna. It could either blow up now, or
- 1:05:56it could blow. Up a year later, it does. 100%
- 1:05:59it doesn't matter anymore. The timing really doesn't even
- 1:06:01matter anymore. I think it's more about output
- 1:06:02quality art and just like making it happen, you know, being
- 1:06:04consistent. Believing in it too.
- 1:06:06A. 100% like think about like Cruel Summer by Taylor Swift
- 1:06:08that one number one four years later.
- 1:06:09Yeah, that's crazy. True.
- 1:06:10First by Lizzo, that one, number one like 2 years I think.
- 1:06:12About like Pierce, Avail and King for a Day because that
- 1:06:15started like charting because of the Internet.
- 1:06:18It just just started taking off one day exactly many years
- 1:06:22after. It was just like whoosh.
- 1:06:23I know it could happen like that.
- 1:06:25Yeah, it's crazy. They did that with an I love
- 1:06:27Piers of L, but they did that with so far so fake too.
- 1:06:29If you've seen that like dance trend on TikTok.
- 1:06:31I don't think I've seen it. It just blew up out of nowhere
- 1:06:34and it was like 9th on the album.
- 1:06:36It was like solely an album track and just was like now
- 1:06:39their number one song. I'm like, that's insane.
- 1:06:42See, anything had happened. Anyone could blow up any point.
- 1:06:44Absolutely. I mean, honestly, you don't know
- 1:06:46which. One will do like the most
- 1:06:48either. You can't really, I guess it
- 1:06:49it's hard to guess. Right.
- 1:06:51I mean, honestly, it's just about the output.
- 1:06:52You're doing it, you're putting it out.
- 1:06:54It's great. And we're so excited for all of
- 1:06:56that. I'm manifesting all that for you
- 1:06:58too. I'm so excited for you and
- 1:06:59you're so lovely. Seriously, this is so
- 1:07:01incredible. Oh my God, stop.
