• [00:00] These stairs go down? That is what stairs do, sir, yes. Clearly it's an advanced bullshit, you idiots. We're stuck, we're stuck in the pit. Oh no, that is very interesting. [00:13] What did you think of the Eldar stuff, Odo? I hated it! Ah, fuck, I've been so, was that revealed today? Yesterday. Yesterday, oh God. Hold on, what were the Eldar drops? I saw that the Eldar were in the trailer for like two seconds, and everybody on my Tumblr was popping off about it. Hey guys, you know what, I think we need more Space Marines in Warhammer. All right, I think we deserve. [00:39] There just aren't enough Space Marines. That was the first day. [00:44] I think we deserve more Space Marine chapters, you know? Maybe it's something that's like elf-like, you know, with hovercraft and things, you know? That would be really cool to have. Elf Marines? [00:56] That'd be deeply fucked up. I really like the fire prism because it has a crystal gem on the end of it, and they're with Stevenson University. Oh my God, that's right, they are in Steven's universe. Do you think the Eldar mine the creatures that are in the Steven universe thing, and like capture them and turn them into the fire prisms? [01:18] Yes, I'm incorporating that into my head cannon. That doesn't sound like something a guy called Whisperwind would do. [01:26] I don't know, Whisperwind sounds like he's been relegated to, into Legends now, so. Oh, that is true. It's presumptive of you to assume that you would have maimed characters in your Eldar. They sent the fucking striking Scorpion Phoenix Lord right into Legends. Yeah. Thank you, everybody. Listen. I miss you, Carandras. We have maimed Eldar. You have Farseer Talldear, dead. You have Farseer Macha. Is she dead? She's alive, I think, unless they killed her in a book. [02:06] Yeah, they might have. Yeah, who's to say? We gotta look that up now. You have Sniper, you have Sniper Guy from Dao II. [02:16] You have Farseer Karras. You have Vect. Yeah. Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Vect, I mean, there's no more Vect. He's not even Legends anymore. Yeah, he hasn't had a model for you. Yeah, he's not even in it. He hasn't had a model since before I started playing. Vect was on his boat. Yeah, because he had the fucking party boat. The newest model that he's gotten was one we gave him in TTS. [02:51] That is true. They really need to bring back the party boat. I would buy the party boat just to have in my house. I mean, I think- Oh, Vect and the party boat are coming back? Yeah, that's a rumor. They would be very silly, not to bring the party boat back. [03:07] Like, it seems like it would be a good primark to at least- Well, considering they took Grimnir's boat away, you know, they might be, you know, willing. Okay, oh, okay. The fucking Santa Claus bus was pretty stupid, though. Look, it was my kind of stupid. I'm sorry. Look. I got to field him one time, and it was really funny. Where's your fucking Christmas spirit, Kirsten? I even enjoyed it, because I think I might have the picture still when I was making the dwarf conversion, where they have them up in the, I took the Space Hulk guy, like, dead guy in the chair, but replaced the head with an iron braider, so he looks drunk. [03:47] Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yes. So I can bring the cat down on the sled. [03:54] Look, look, I just, I, the reason I don't like it has nothing to do with the model. It's because one of my most annoying losses in a tournament was against that stupid fucking thing. For two reasons. Oh, really? One, because my opponent was, like, a glorious, amazing person. And this was during that fucking edition where, like, I don't know, Space Wolves could, like, heroic intervention, like, six inches, like, no matter what, so they could just, like, fucking walk into combat. [04:18] So this fucking Santa Claus boat just, like, do, do, do, do, six inches. He warned me. It was my own fucking fault. No, the thing that, like, triggers me every time is there was, like, it was, the mission was, like, fight over the thing in the middle of the fucking table. And he's got these fucking Wolf Guard terminators, and I finally killed, like, all of them except one. [04:35] And I'm like, OK, we're good. And then the next fucking turn, because he gets to go, he's like, I'm going to make him a lone wolf on us. I was going to say. And now he's like, fuck it. Yeah, yeah. And I'm like, fuck you. I hate how narrative this is, but I'm so fucking mad right now. [04:51] That poor lone wolf got put in Legends, so don't worry. You won at the end. You got him. You got him at the end of it. I know, I know. I won at the end. I know. He fucking went to Legends. But speaking of Legends. You won the battle of, uh. Thanks for saying Legends. Yeah. As we move on. Sorry to stop you there, Odo. Yeah, true. [05:06] Speaking of Legends, it's time to play some more Warhams of Chaos Odyssey. [05:12] Woo! [06:00] Even in our overlay, when I was positioning everyone, like, okay, let me get all the space marines that I saw. I have to put them shorter, just to indicate a little. He has to be big enough so people can see him, but I'm just going to bring his height down a little bit. You make him very, very, very tiny. He's tall. [06:21] Speaking of small things, our accompaniment of Thunderhawks that we tried to get last episode, it was as if our destiny was to get them, but unfortunately, it was taken away from us. [06:33] Both Thunderhawks were basically destroyed. We're doing this. One of them. [06:39] The other one's a piece of shit. The other one doesn't have chairs. That's true. That thing's like a crown with no furniture. [06:51] It'll do something. I love your revisionist fucking history here. But it was something. Like, take it away from us. Meanwhile, you were all like, we will be the people to betray first. Clearly, we will never be betrayed. We rolled a good dice roll. [07:11] Tonight, we are betrayed. What do you mean the chaos guys did chaos things? That's fucked up. What the fuck? That was a double-double cross. What happened? Is that allowed? Can you do that? There's definitely times there needs to be like a sign, the tap of saying, it's an evil campaign. People are evil. They lie to you. [07:32] Everyone's out to get you. Everyone returned to the carcass after, you know, the untimely interventions of a fight down on the planet surface. And after all that, we saw that the conflagration was orbiting over the planet soon to bombard it. And we had a choice to be quickly rushed in there to try and find our target before everything is obliterated in fire. Or do we negotiate with them? [07:59] See, we can talk. Maybe we can get something out of this ordeal. And that's where Byzantium came in, telling them onto the comms as we saw them basically throwing as many bodies into the fire to keep up their power to even have the communication with us. Uh, why is auntie did their best to try to get as many angles as possible, but it was not their destiny to do so because life was and Cephas took it away. [08:26] Took it away. That's what I'm saying. It's not their destiny to be. Be so [08:32] Byzantium tried his best to get the camera right now. [08:40] And as him, as excellent negotiations were being had, they were unfortunately thwarted by Byzantium's own companions. But some tomfoolery was afoot. Many deals were made in the back. Many words were spread around. But in a company in it, of two Thunderhawks were sent over to our ship as we had to give up a couple of our own people from our own ship and which, uh, thank you for the graciousness of Thurston for allowing me to be dumb as hell about it. [09:15] Um, but Promethean in them and as soon and enchanted it. So as soon as they arrived on their ship and out of command of the agent's command destroyed the vessel, but it was only done due to the amazing and negotiations of Byzantium. The observations of Yevgeny and the intervention of Cephas and Bethael was there. We love Bethel. And Bethel was also there. And you were there. Bethel too was there. [09:41] I've, I've got a charisma under 30. It's for the best. I didn't say anything. I just want you to know that you're involved and we love you. So with all of that, with all of that, we now return the problem at hand. After Byzantium finding a much better, better thrown much better seat for himself, uh, compared to Yevgeny's tiny, stupid baby chair, uh, that he's going to put inside the Thunderhawks to bring us back down to the surface. [10:09] I think we have to deal with some issues. Who's going to drive or not drive pilot the Thunderhawk. Who the hell we're going to get back down. Where's our charge and what's going to happen next. Thurston. [10:22] Well, four dads and their adopted child board a Thunderhawk with one bench. What do we want to do? Gang? [10:33] Well, I've already got my seat. The rest of this is your problem. [10:41] I'm so glad for you. Is this remotely safe? Probably not. Absolutely not. Yevgeny slung from, what is it? Cephasis. Is Cephasis in the cockpit? Who's in the cockpit with me? Oh, wait, did you levitate me in there? I think there was some mention last time that, cause there's no seat in the cockpit. There's a throne. There's the throne. Yeah. [11:09] I forgot there was this, there was a, there was an important character moment of a Byzantium losing all trust that Evgeny had placed in him and then getting it back. [11:23] Smiles. We'll find out. Oh, Spaghetti. Oh, Hey, I gave you the best seat in the house. Take it for yourself. Yeah. Well, you know what? But I gave it to you. I really, I really love, I love that dynamic. Though of like, Hey, I did all this stuff behind your back, but you should really be like my friend because I actually decided to tell you instead of keeping it a secret. [11:51] Makes more sense than you, than, than you admit, my friend. [11:56] Does it? It does. I don't think it does. You, I fucking like those. Never would have fucking admit if he had done some shenanigan, right? Yeah. I mean, yes, but, but, but you see when you go to someone and they're like, Hey, by the way, I should earn points because I'm telling you, I went behind your back. That kind of comes across a little bit manipulative. My friend, little tiny, tiny little great. [12:22] I think you're oversimplifying the situation, but that's like, ultimately it's, you've got my friend in high school. That's like my fucking friend in high school who comes to me, hands me a note and says, don't shoot the messenger because my girlfriend at the time broke up with me via a note and she was fucking like, cheating on me with this guy. Oh my God. Don't share that messenger. [12:44] That guy. I promise you. It's just funny. It's just funny. [12:50] The guy who did that was not by his auntie. [12:56] You need to search your memory. You need to search your memory now. Was, was your friend a like eight foot tall giant with a skinned head? Cut back. Wait a second. I'm looking at a flashback in high school. It was by Zanti there the entire time. Was I dating by Zanti? No, it's actually just hulky. It's just hulky IRL. It's just me. Anyway, is there any, like anything to hold while you're in the back of the ship? [13:33] Yeah, there's some like, yeah, there's some, there's some like handholds up above. Okay. I mean, you're okay at Space Marine though. So shouldn't you have like Maglocks in your fucking boots? This is true. However, I can't exactly hold Lucitrix like a fucking Chihuahua in my arms as we descend in a Thunderhawk. Hold her like a football. That's true. Can I put her up by her neck? No. [13:57] Can you put her in the booster seat? There's no booster seat. Build one. There's one throne. It's big enough for my little tuchus. [14:06] I see. Be, be like the rest of the party members and get a human sized backpack you can slinger and carry around with. The rest of the party members don't have that. What are you talking about? [14:20] What are you, what are you talking about? Bethael has a fucking human companion. Byzantium has a human companion. Yeah, that's you. [14:28] Oh yeah. I have great backpacks. Disturbing statements. [14:37] Yevgeny's sitting up there looking over the top of the throne. I'm so cute. [14:44] True. You just, you just initiated the distraction power moment. I, I don't know what, what, [14:54] All right. So, so, uh, is Yevgeny able to pilot a Thunderhawk is the question, because he does have the highest pilot of all of us. Maybe. Is it, is the cockpit Yevgeny sized? [15:12] We'll find out. It, the throne will allow him to operate the controls. He is like a child in the cockpit comparative to the, the controls, which are typically intended for, for an Astartes. He has to do some leaning. Um, it may be slightly more difficult than normal. I will apply an additional minus 10 penalty due to gigantism problems. I should have thought about that before being small. [15:41] Yeah. True. All right. And then the rest of us can magnetize ourselves to the back. So we'll be fine. Uh, and then Lucitrix, I don't know, somebody, somebody put her in their backpack, put her in the glove compartment. [15:59] Is she coming with you? That's the question. Yeah, of course she has to. Okay. She's part of the party. She's a part of this group. Yeah. [16:09] For how long? I don't know. We're going to find out today. We'll see. Uh, till the end of this session. [16:17] That's, that's a thirst and promise. We thought she was going to eat it like session two, but she's lasted. So, you know, just give it a couple of combat. Well, she also, she also, to be clear, hasn't really been in many combat situations. She also tends to hide behind me and, and Lyphos and Byzantium, which is where everybody, like, I think the funniest thing is the highest, the highest chance that she would have of dying is one of you misfires and like centers a template on yourselves. [16:49] I mean, she, she's got some, she's got 30 toughness and six wounds, you know, like it's, it's doable. That's not bad. For a lesser minion. It's certainly not the worst. [17:03] She's supposed to be on par with a dog. I think we are all good to go. Um, is there anything left on the ship? Uh, Oh, we've already tried to salvage the other Thunder Hawk and there's like, there's nothing in there for us. Right? Correct. You also look through here and this has been like picked apart too. It will fly. Kind of. Oh, kind of. [17:32] Do we have loath as I am to ask, is it time to have the tech priest look over it and fill in some gaps? [17:44] So at the very least we do not break down midair. [17:49] Well, if we do, won't it be so exciting, eh? Nice to live a bit dangerously from time to time. I suppose it is not terribly different from a drop pod, though. I would prefer not to have another drop from a Thunder Hawk if it's all the same to you. [18:08] Well, I guess you've gotten practiced. [18:16] Maybe a little. And maybe you would like to practice soon too, if you keep trying my patience. [18:25] Tempting, but I'm afraid I'd rather keep this thing upright and flying. So, where to? [18:35] Back to the pit. Do we have, a map of where we are supposed to be going within the pit, Thurston? No, you were just told to go into the pit. Go to pit, got it. Go to pit? I suppose on our best course of action is to see what we're looking at at the pit and find out if there's anywhere we can land. [18:58] Ideally correctly and not upside down. All right. That is up to Yevgeny. [19:06] Yevgeny. That's me. Hi. Hi, Thurston. Let's, let's start off this little piloting moment. [19:17] Let's have you make me an Operate Aeronautica at a hard, so minus 10. If he, if he needs, if he needs help, I can support with this now, now that I have Operate Aeronautica known. Oh, yippee. Yeah, actually I'll, in fact, I'll let you be able to press the big boy buttons he can't reach to negate the minus 10 penalty. Okay. I think that is the cutest thing. [19:42] Yevgeny's hand can't reach something and Cephas is like, presses it. A very large, heavy, greasy, nasty gauntlet just presses the biggest buttons that won't go down no matter how hard Yevgeny punches them. Leaves a little slime behind. Just a little slime for more. So that will be at a difficult instead? [20:04] Yeah. So, so challenging. So minus, minus zero. Oh, okay. Let's see if I'm favored by the gods today for the first roll. I believe. Nope. That is, no, that's a 92 for five degrees of failure. Oh, awesome. That's good, right? That's really good. Yeah, higher in the system. [20:27] Um, so Thunderhawk gives you a bit of kickback as you're taking it out of the Embarkation deck. Um, the top, one of the top fins strikes, um, strikes the top of the, of the aperture, uh, leading out and you, you all hear a distressing tearing metal sound. [20:50] We're good. We're good. Hold on. Are we? Are we good? Yeah, yes, we're perfectly fine. We're perfectly fine. Don't worry. We've lost an aileron. Mm-hmm. Ugh, the loader's not bought the farm yet. Hold on. It's, it's a bit bigger than what I'm used to. Uh, just get, hold on. Just continues clanking, rattling about, further scuffing out this Thunderhawk, which wasn't pristine to begin with, but it, it doesn't look good. [21:21] If there was a paint job, it certainly isn't there now. [21:26] Just like the horrible screaming sound of metal against metal. Just, ugh. That's, uh, that's the sound of the, that's the landing gear disengaging. Yep. Just, uh, don't worry about that. Don't mind the noise. Would you like to? That's normal. That is very normal for an old, derelict. None of you have ever heard this sound come from a Thunderhawk before. Would you like to try that again? I don't think that's supposed to make the sound. [21:53] Just to be clear. Can I attempt to deceive? Yeah, plus 20. Oh, of course, of course. Plus 20? Yeah, of course. Oh, is it, where is it? [22:05] I'm untrained in this, no matter what. Yeah, you were just so confident. I know. I mean, why would you ever lie to us? Yeah. Why do I have one special use? [22:19] What? Because I can't, what the fuck? I can't roll, I can't roll this. I can't roll deceive. Oh, yes, I can. Hold on. So you didn't have the button there. [22:29] Plus 20. There we go. Oh, my God. That's a 15 for four degrees of success. [22:37] That's the one that succeeds. It does sound like this. But I'll blink a couple of times and just, well, uh, I suppose I've never driven one. Clearly, you've never driven a Thunderhawk. No, [22:53] Usually in the back. Don't worry Bethael, I'm sure you'll get your experience in time. I could even teach you how to fly this big, beautiful flying hunk of metal. At that exact moment, Cephas has to press a button for you. Yeah. There's a loud click. [23:17] All right. I've disabled the landing gear. You may try again now, Yevgeny. Thank you, Cephas. You're a wonderful pilot. Bosun, I'm not sure what this craft would quantify you as. What? Did you know that I didn't pass common, lower Gothic? [23:41] I believe the only thing that you should pass right now is through the embarkation deck's outward door. Right. That's the next part. Yevgeny is going to try and bring the ship out of the ship. [23:54] All right. Give it a shot again. Just a little baby. All right. Give me it this time at a plus 10, because you've got your bearings now. Yep. I know how to fly. I've never not known how to fly a Thunderhawk. This is not my first time. I'm incredibly confident. It's so easy. You are so set up for success. In fact, it is that easy with a 10 for six degrees of success. [24:20] It's just that easy. The Thunderhawk glides out of the carcasses embarkation deck, [24:29] Towards the world of Dahab. You begin to descend further towards the planet, coming through the upper atmosphere, and then reaching to that point you've seen before, the vast sort of pit and the area of like constant sort of erupting flames [24:53] Come over the tortured landscape. There's even a point where, [24:58] Where you feel you've getting there, and it's funny that you can see the exact crater that was the impact point of Bethael near the large open hold. Suspicious Bethael shaped indentation. Yeah. It's the Goku meme without Goku in it. [25:17] That's Yamcha, because he lost. Get it right. Fake fan. Thank you. Yeah, fake fan. Goku would never job. He would just make things harder. Okay, comment sections, we spoke for you that time. You did. You did. Yeah, exactly. Thinking is hard. Don't worry about it. Before things got really, really dicey. Look, I haven't got back there in my rewatch yet. Fuck off, guys. I'm still in Dragon Ball. [25:44] Okay. I know. You come close to the vast, vast hole that descends. And as you, as you kind of maneuver the Thunderhawk to that area, Evgeny, you're gonna need another check at a plus zero. Oh, no. Sure. Yeah, I got this. Hold on. [26:11] I guess a 33 for three degrees of success. [26:15] Okay. You managed to, to lower the Thunderhawk, kind of putting it at a, a point near the center, and then a gradual descent. [26:27] As you do so, it's, it's difficult. The Thunderhawk is, you know, can be useful in, in certain situations, but doing it in this sort of pattern is, you're kind of doing circles. Gradually descending every time. [26:41] Do you, can I get both you and Cephas to give me awareness tests? Just check. Okay. Awareness test. Sure. Sure. Awareness check. I will give you a, I'll give you a 98 for seven degrees of failure. You have to press a lot of buttons for, for the little guy. It's really distracting, honestly. Yeah. At a plus what? Plus zero. Just straight away. [27:14] That's an absolute failure. Oh my God. How many hundreds can we roll in this campaign? Okay. 100, 100. We cut back to the rear of the Thunderhawk. Lyphos, Byzantium, Bethael, standing like three space Marines on a bus, their arms held up, holding on to the, the rail. What's the conversation like back there? [27:46] Bethael is definitely like not trying to make conversation with Byzantium and Lyphos. He is, he's looking with open contempt. [27:56] What? Is there something on my face? Yes. Just your face. Yeah, that's what's on it. It's terrible. Hey, Lyphos, at least I've got a face. He cries. Yeah, that's what's on it. That would be, that would be an awesome response actually. He starts crying like ACDC. [28:26] But no, I will say conspicuously, Bethael has given Lyphos a bit of a wide berth ever since the psychic incident. He is conspicuously standing on the other side of the Thunderhawk. Now I'm just imagining Lyphos is like testing into it. He's like, oh, I'm just going to have to see, you know, Bethael just skitter to the other side. Yeah, it takes another step. We're just rotating. [28:53] And the entire time you're talking to Byzantium. The, uh, this might be one of those camera moments to where it's most of the show is for Cephas and Yevgeny because Lyphos is just looking at one of the, you know, I don't think Thunderhawks have like a viewport or like a window cause that would be structurally wrong. Uh, he's just kind of as if looking through the back, uh, landing hatch, uh, just like thinking of all the options in stuff that might be potentially happening in which or that I would like to cast, uh, if it's okay with you. [29:30] Oh, it's always okay for you to use psychic powers. Oh yeah. Especially while we're midair. Yeah. Oh my God. No, let's go. My favorite, my favorite fantasy flight, like RPG moment involved a party having a psychic mishap in a play. I remember you telling her all the demons got summoned. Yeah. Yeah. Where every, everyone within like 20 meters has a single chaos fury appear adjacent to them. [30:05] That's, that's so beautiful. It was especially the one that was outside the cockpit trying to get him. [30:15] I mean, I guess if we're going to scar someone's Garbrandt at any time, it'd be nice when we're in a moving plane and he's summoned right outside of it. Absolutely. I don't have wings. He does, but he can't use them. Cause he famously does it. [30:30] I will not cast a psychic power. Cause I think I had to like, I had a triple fix the character sheet. Cause I'm stupid. And, uh, I took away that one second power word. Let's me foresee things. Uh, cause I was like, oops, I'm actually cheating. Let me get rid of that. Okay. [30:44] Uh, whoops. Yeah. I was like, I just messed up. Cause I, I don't read book. No good. Sometimes I'm just stupid that way. My bad. Um, I will not cast a power. Life was just simply looking, not engaging in any conversation. He just looking straight out the rear hatch. Uh, I fucking hate that. I have to rely now on Byzantium to make me a willpower test for any kind of backseat conversation. [31:10] So, uh, Hey Bethael. What? What? [31:21] I've got many secrets. I failed the willpower test. I punch him in the chest. [31:29] Is it still tender there? As you, as you go, [31:38] As you, as you go and make that, uh, lovely punch suddenly, uh, the entire vessel rocks. I need everyone in the back compartment to give me an acrobatics check at plus 30. Oh shit. [31:56] Do I get any bonuses for having a chair? [32:01] I'll make, I'll, I'll give you another plus 10. Thank you. Uh, you said plus 30? Or minus 30? Okay. Plus 30. Plus 30. That is 18 to six degrees of success. Oh, that is an 84 with two degrees of failure. Lifo's got a 38 with three degrees of success. So as, as this exchange happens, Bethael, you, you take a step to punch, uh, Byzantium, but that exact moment, the Thunderhawk strikes ground violently and you are sent flung across the back, um, where you, you hit the rear compartment. [32:40] It kind of like, pushes your head a bit. You managed to shake it off. Um, the only reason you were flung is because you, you had to move without the mag lock for a brief moment. Um, and then you, you realize that you've stopped flying. [32:55] Ugh. What happened? You're getting, you realize that you have struck something on the lower portion of the, uh, of the Thunderhawk, uh, and brushed against it with the landing gears, managing to, managing to grip onto whatever this thing is. Uh, but you are now grounded. Open the book. [33:21] Sure. Let me just hit the back opening button. [33:26] Fuck. Which one is that? Without waiting in life, just, just this hits the button. Open it. [33:34] Okay. Yeah. So you kind of lean into the cockpit, tap the button. All right. I mean, I mentioned there's a back button in the back of the hatch there. It'd be weird to only have it in the cockpit. Oh yeah. Yeah. That's true. That's true. That is true. That is true. Uh, you, you smack the, oh God, of course. I think the intro to Space Marine had that very button. [33:51] Yeah. Um, you, you smashed the button as Evgeny struggles to find it in the cockpit. And then the, the rear hatch begins to lower. All of you are immediately assailed by a waft of like, humid, warm air. Uh, and you see that you are on some kind of ground of rock and stone. And then on the walls around you, uh, that are off in the distance, maybe hundreds of feet. [34:20] There are tiny flames jutting out of small like tunnels. [34:29] I suppose this is closer to our destination. Oh, it's still here. Wait, wait, is it, did we crash here? Is something holding us? [34:48] Gonna lean out the back and look to see if the landing gears are on solid ground. They, they kind of are. Uh, one of them is bent terribly. You can tell that you are on what appears to be a circular platform. Um, and then there is a bridge that extends towards one of the walls. And then like a spiral set of stone steps leads further and further into the darkness. [35:17] We are landed enough. Though that may be an issue for getting out. [35:26] Well, I'm sure. But we'll worry about that when we're done. [35:32] If you insist. Everyone, get out! Glyphos has already been out. Don't have to tell me twice. He floated out. Oh. [35:45] Uh, Cephas is waiting for Yevgeny to decouple himself from the throne before he proceeds. [35:53] Yevgeny will unbuckle his harness, keeping him safe, safely seated in the throne. And hop down a little. [36:03] Well, that could have been a lot worse, Cephas. Certainly could have. [36:09] Thank you. Thank you for doing what you could, friend. [36:14] We shall see if getting out will be as easy as coming down. Oh, [36:25] Did you, if any, look around? Did you bring Lucy with you? Cephas walks over to a, uh, a nearby compartment on the wall where they would presumably hold like, Thurston, could I say that's where they found the sensor that was in here originally? Yeah, sure. Absolutely. Cephas leans his foot back and kicks the wall panel. It clunks down to the ground and falls to the side and reveals that Lucitrix has contorted herself into the little hatch where they had, where Byzantium found the sensor in this ship in the first place. [37:03] I'm here. [37:09] Denny's just looking down at her. He looks back up at Cephas. [37:15] Are we leaving her on the ship or is she coming with us? Give her a moment. There's a bunch of, really awful cracking and popping sounds as she contorts herself out of the chamber. And then you, as she stands up, you notice that she's like about a head shorter than she usually is. But you also notice that her head is kind of tilted sideways. Oh, [37:40] John Arbol, looking at Nermal's corpse. What, uh, what issue of Garfield did that happen in? No, I actually know what he's talking about. It was the TV show. [37:52] One moment. Cephas plants a big gauntleted hand on her head and gently tilts it until there is an awful crunch and her neck is correctly aligned now. Ready to go. [38:10] Shall we? Let's end the Evgeny and Cephas a walkout. I love that fucking video. It's so good. As you, as you walk out, um, you, you see the, the, your companion standing there on this platform. Uh, you can see that, yes, the front landing gear has sort of bent at a 45 degree angle. Um, and is embedded into the ground a little bit. Uh, but you've, you've managed to stick some kind of landing to this platform. [38:44] And then you see the steps that lead down. Um, they are sized for trans humans. [39:00] Well, these stairs go down. Presumably that's where we'd like to go. [39:09] That is what stairs do, sir. Yes. Well, I think it'd be better than just standing around staring at it. And then Byzantium is just going to like huff and puff and then go, uh, begin leading downstairs. A moment. [39:25] I am not entirely sure I like how manmade this seems. [39:32] I'm going to kind of lean forward. And, uh, um, look for signs of people having recently been here before us. Okay. Um, sure. You know what? That makes sense. Let's have you give me, um, uh, [39:57] I want, I want to scrutiny test. Scrutiny. Oh, uh, uh, I'm not very good at that one. Yeah, let's do it at a. Oh, boy. That's seven degrees of failure for you at a 96. This is an ancient cave. [40:24] Kind of smells old. Hot. I will take point. I'm going to brush past Byzantium. No. Well, if you want to be the first to be old and hot, go for it. As, uh, they are going forward. Uh, Mr. Thurston, may I roll a demonology forbidden lore to see, uh, determine as we continue on any evidence and signs of like, probably this is demon-y bullshit. [40:59] Yeah. Give me a, give me a plus 10. Demonology plus 10. Thank you. [41:07] That is a 27 for four degrees of success. [41:12] If you had to guess, this is some kind of prison. Um, as you're looking around the flames jutting from the walls, the steps that go to a platform that leads to nowhere, except through other means, this is a prison for something. Um, it is very clearly set up even with where like the flames are coming out. Like you can actually sort of trace over the apertures in the walls and where the flames are coming out and trace astrological synagogues that would be like, um, imprisonment symbols, [41:50] Not necessarily for demons though. Like very, very ancient sort of symbols of just general warding. [42:00] So it's not like these symbols are protecting in a, in a physical sense against like immaterial creatures. You're just seeing that someone's like, it's, it's kind of the occult equivalent of someone's been like prison cell on the wall. I mean, it's, [42:16] Could I make some kind of forbidden lore check to see the relevance of this? As in, like, I know it's not for a demon or, like, a warding thing in that regard, but, like, what kind of language am I looking at? [42:36] I mean, you don't see this. So, first of all, like, Faust, you point this out to your companions. Yeah. Yeah. Pretty much narrating to everyone. [42:45] If you look, the staff is like, Sapiens, do you recognize any of these through any potential rituals you have been part of? You and Lucidrix. I see these are old rooms of warding, and they either keep something in or out. [43:07] Thurston, could I give forbidden lore Chaos Space Marines, or what would you suggest I do? Forbidden lore Horus. Horus Heresy at a minus ten. Okay, I will give it a shot. I will toke a shot. Fuck, I will. Ninety-four. Seven degrees of failure. You're looking, and you're not able to identify. Like, you don't even see the sort of, like, significance occult-wise until, like, Lifos points it out. [43:38] You do have a niggling sensation, though, that this is somewhat familiar. [43:45] It's only vaguely familiar to me. I do not undertake rituals very much. That is not something I'm familiar with, either. [43:56] By Zante, Bethoyel, do these bring up any memories? And Lifos will try to, like, in some slacking way, try to emphasize the runes and stuff more as he begins to kind of gesture towards them. My memories aren't what they once was. [44:15] I'd like to make a check. Forbidden lore Chaos Space Marines, since these are marine-quality staircases. [44:24] Um, sure. Or, uh, do you have Horus Heresy? I do. Make that one instead for me. Minus ten. Okay. I have that as well. Uh, should I go ahead and make it? I was called upon. Yep. [44:40] Oh, I'll give you a ten. Absolutely. For three degrees of success. Yeah, I will fail. Uh, with two degrees of failure. He knows, he just isn't going to say anything. Bethoyel, there's two instances, um, that this reminds you of. Um, the most prominent is, this has some, some similarities to the architecture of a place called, uh, Kangba Maru. A location that was on Terra during the era of the Great Crusade, even before the, uh, the Great Crusade. [45:19] Um, it was in the Nordafric conclaves, and it was a prison complex, um, that was used to house the enemies of the Imperium. Particularly the rival warlords that the Emperor defeated when he was conquering the planet. Um, it has this sort of similar, similar Cyclopean, uh, feel to it. [45:49] The second instance is the steps. The steps are, are famous for at least, um, a, a 12th Legion activity, um, that you weren't a part of, because it was actually before your time. But it was something called the Cerberus Insurrection, where the Warhounds, because they weren't the world leaders at that point, um, were tasked with, uh, subduing a asteroid prison colony. And, like, the steps and whatnot of the asteroid were similar in nature to this. [46:30] Bethael will kind of squint down the stairs and kind of turn around and take in the rest of the complex. [46:40] When I was still young, with the ethers of worlds, I once spoke to those who once bore the mantle of Warhound. I heard stories of complexes like that. Like this. This is a, this is a prison. Not unlike some that were on ancient Terra. And likewise some that were used before my time. [47:12] Why would a non-K be in a prison? What is the value in such? [47:27] One would think it would be the prisoners. [47:31] Leifos turns to Byzantium, going, I hear you stuttering. What is it? It's a lunacy. [47:40] Hmm. I can't imagine why someone would- Would want to go to a prison, but perhaps it simply was a prison. Perhaps it is no longer. I'm certain we'll find out once we descend. Or perhaps he is seeking whatever was imprisoned here. Hmm. True, true. [48:05] Caution, companions. Caution. [48:15] He will turn to Yevgeny, who I assume has stumbled his way down like a- Like a baby going down giant steps. Pretty much. It was compelling. Everything in my power was like, please don't, don't reach out and ask for oppies. This is not in character, but it's very funny. Yeah. Leifos will look at Yevgeny and go, We do not know what will be down here. And if I were to suspect it could be something even we might have trouble with. [48:46] If things go sideways. We'll do our best to help out, or get out of the way. We wouldn't want anything to happen to you. [49:02] I should certainly hope not, sir. But like our previous dalliances with the unsavory sorts of this wider galaxy, I will endeavor to help rather than hinder. [49:17] And I'll take that to heart of not having my head melted off my shoulders or any number of horrible fates. That could befall me. [49:28] Leifos will nod, and with a flourish of his cloak, he'll begin to, not step, but begin to like, float diagonally down the stairs. And I'm going to follow behind, giving him just a little bit of space, but definitely trying to stay near the front. Cephas will also try to take the front on this one, and he will let the ranged shooters, that being Byzante, Yevgeny, and Lucitrix, take the back. [49:56] That way, because again, I've got all these, I got all these wounds and all this toughness. I think I may as well use it. [50:04] Okay. I suppose I might as well, if those better suited for getting clubbed on the head, get clubbed on the head. And I will happily let them take the lead. [50:18] Awesome. Absolutely. All right. So, so as the group begins to descend, I'm going to have Yevgeny give me an awareness test. An awareness test. At plus 10. You're a bit slower than your companions, so. I have a lot more time to look around. In what way? [50:39] How do you know? Sorry, that was really mean. Success with a 45 for two degrees. [50:44] Yeah. You begin to descend down the steps very slowly. [50:52] You know, the pace of Cephas in the front does make it a bit easier for you to sort of catch up. But it's pretty arduous. As you're doing so, you are taking note on the wall here. There are some some scratchings that look as though they're in high Gothic and you see certain certain like names kind of engraved or like certain statements. One of them you see is the Malin Sen. [51:32] The other one is the Malin Sen Confederacy, and then like a little bit further down, there is the Pan Pacific Empire, and then you go a bit further down and there's something just that the word Ursh is is carved into the wall. [51:52] Ursh, you say? [51:59] Thurston. Hmm? The word Ursh. That wouldn't happen to Lee Nurgle, would it? [52:08] Well, first of all, Yevgeny, are you also pointing this out to your computer? Are you pointing this out to your companions as you see this? That's true. [52:18] No, he's totally just going to keep it to himself. Perfect. Excellent. That's why I asked. Not to try to prompt a roleplay moment from you, but you know. Oh, yeah. No, absolutely. Of course. Yeah. Good. You've had enough of those. You've had enough of those. I want to hear from the stairs. What do they have to say? [52:42] That's insightful. Shut up. Get out. Kick him. Kick him. You're fired. Kill that guy. [52:54] Comedy is a many step process. Like the stairs. Shut the fuck up. Yes, exactly. [53:01] Just the name Ursh mean anything to you, Sephis? [53:10] So, Thurston, that is, I guess, the question is, does this sound like a more Nurglish word in the evil tongue? It is not, but I will let you give me another Forbidden Lore Horus heresy. Okay. Plus 10. All right. That's going to put me at 51 as my target. Let's see if Sephis knows anything. [53:32] Yes. That's a one. Oh, my God. Ursh. Well, there. There you go. Was a nation state of old Terra. It was in the area that would have once been like Russia and Central Asia. You, in fact, have, like, you've probably read lots of texts on old Terra. And the unification wars that took place there. So, as this is pointed out, you know that Ursh, and you're able to connect it when Evgeny points out some of the other names. [54:03] Ursh was led by the tyrant Caligan. And had, like, he conquered various imperial nations, including the Nordafric conclaves, where, like, where that prison that Bethael mentioned was located. They were ultimately defeated. Defeated by the emperor of mankind. But when you see other things, like, when it's pointed out, like, Malin Sen, for example, was a confederacy that was, like, a Nordic-based confederacy. That was serving dark powers and was crushed in the Battle of Malin Sen, where their priest-king was executed by the emperor personally. [54:46] Hmm. The Panpak Empire was under the direction of a very powerful king. A very well-known historical tyrant called Narthan Doom. He was defeated by the forces of the emperor. And in, like, a very rare display, the emperor showed mercy on him and put him in the prison. [55:08] However, when he was put in the prison, or, sorry, when he was put into the prison, he was killed in the prison by the other inmates. Hmm. It's curious this word comes up. In the great many texts that scour the names of things from Terran history, Ursh was a nation-state there. It was led by... A tyrant known as Caligan. It's a... Well, it's ancient history by now. [55:45] But it's curious that the word comes up here so far away. Last I checked, we are not on Unholy Terra. Why would something like that be all the way out here? Perhaps some kind of... Purloined artifact? If it was during the Unification Wars, no one like that could have survived. The emperor would have killed anybody who didn't submit. They certainly wouldn't be able to live that long. [56:23] Well, whatever secrets it may hold, we are likely to find out. If we proceed, anyway. As for what exactly is being held here, that's... Well, as I said, we will find out. It may indeed be a literal reference to Ursh, or it may simply be a historical reference. We shall... Discover. Onward. This is a place of memory, no? Perhaps. This world built on memories of different places. [56:55] Different times. [57:00] It's very possible that whoever wrote the word Ursh in this particular context means to say that it is somewhat similar to the prisons of that place. In... The Pan-Pacific Empire. That general region. The lord of that land. [57:19] Cephas thinks for a moment as he tries to... He struggles to recall. And often doom. It's... It is all history and regrettably far before my time. I'm surprised that our veterans here do not know more about this. [57:39] Byzanty laughs because I failed my willpower role to engage in conjecture in my own theories. [57:49] Yeah, Bethael kind of shrugs. You just chuckle. We are... You just chuckle. I'm like, I think I maybe know kind of what happened, not at all. [58:01] We are old, but we are not ancient. We were not around for the time of old Terra. [58:09] I was not even around when the world eaters were the warhounds. [58:17] Such are the mysteries. [58:22] This is ancient even to my nose. So I suppose be on guard for any... [58:33] Sorceress bullshit. You just look over at, uh... Yes! I have my foes. I rattle my bones at you. Ooh! Ooh! Lyphos is spinning a stone in his hand like a circle. Ooh! I have those, uh... Hibiboy, like, orbs. I'm just like... Yeah, the labyrinth. The child. Fushigi balls. Yo, I've never seen that movie. I need to watch it. Really? It is definitely a movie. It's pretty... We should do a watch party. [59:08] I love it. It's one of my favorites. I'm a weird person. There's so much stuff I need to catch up on. But, like, that. I've never seen Ghostbusters. I've never seen Terminators. Like... Really? Yeah, I've just... Never seen Terminator? Holy shit, dude. I always skipped out of them. Not because I don't want to watch them. We should start the Educating Zoran show. Where we just watch movies with them. [59:27] Our podcast. I actually have been building a list of, like, whenever I get actual time to dedicate to do it, I need to watch through these. Like, like, Battlestar Galactica, I never got to go through. I've been like, I want to do that. Yeah, fuck yeah. Movie night. Zoran, we're going to teach your ass how to read. Yeah. I even got to watch Sopranos. Like, I've just been... [59:48] When I was younger, we never really had a TV. You just know it from speaker's memes. Yeah. I learned it from you. I mean, really, I'm probably the... One of the better primary sources. All right, dude. Champ. Blackhost will continue down. He absorbs the information, but he's continuing down the stairs. Okay. You carry on. As you do. [1:00:14] You eventually come across another statement. Were, like, two words written into the stone. Mount Ararat. Which, Sevis, you have enough to know that Mount Ararat was the sort of final battle. Like, almost the final battle. The first... The final major engagement of the Unification Wars. [1:00:43] Where the Emperor's Thunder Warriors battled against terrible foes for the Emperor. And they did not make it out alive. But they managed to complete their mission. It was sort of the battle that represented the end of the Thunder Warriors and then the transition into the Astartes that would follow them. [1:01:08] Oh. It's looking like into a historical mirror. [1:01:14] Yet more history. Yet more. More. Someone who wrote this must know a great deal or have been there. [1:01:29] Once more, I must ask, why, then, would the Dark Apostle have such interest in this place? [1:01:39] Bethael, come. Any individual worth their salt knows that the history of the Imperium, as disgusting and... Rotten in the worst possible ways as it is, is fascinating and lengthy. Knowing how we got to be where we are presently from that point is interesting. [1:02:04] Endlessly so. Making a minus ten with our check. Please. Hey! Four degrees of success! Got it. Go for it. All right, you can talk. Oh, I think you're kidding yourself with these... You think whoever came down here simply wants to know or remember their history. My money is on that whoever indwells within this place is hopelessly lost within it. This hall has the tell-tale markers of obsession. [1:02:38] May I, uh, Mr. Thurston? Yes. May I roll on a cult? To determine more. Try to get... Basically trying to be like, why is all of this here? [1:02:50] Um... Try to get more detail to this. This is not a cult. This is... This is not a cult. I know it's not a cult, but... Oh, it's not a cult. I want to roll a cult. [1:02:59] I know. Sorry. But it's not a cult. I'm sorry. Um... But whose turn is it now? Yeah. No, no, no. So you're... You're trying to decipher meaning, but, like, these words are very different. Like, the walls and stuff. You saw the occults... Like, the occult meaning. These... These scrawled words on the... On the wall are not a cult. There's... There's... From something not a cult. Yeah. Uh... [1:03:21] I assume... Either Adeptus Astartes or Chaos Space Ring, forbidden oribles, do nothing here to help us insight further. Yeah. It's... It's strange. None of these are triggering that. Like, you're just looking and you know. You don't even have an inkling. Like, the names are historical. Gotcha. Uh... But they are certainly not... Certainly not anything occult or related to the Astartes. Yeah. Then I'll do the only wizard thing I can do is science science if you don't mind Basically, absolutely [1:03:52] Any plus or minuses No, just straight check Yeah, cuz we're shit is here. No. Well, no, it's not gonna do it 86 for five degrees of failure The walls here sort of have radiated with psychic residue the flames coming out of them that sort of dampens everything It's kind of like you're you're blinded when you use your sign of science here Gotcha, and you carry on a bit further down and you've getting you see Another set of words scrawled into the wall, but this one is is far more elegant The text here doesn't have any of the sort of brutalism chisel like appearance It's almost as though it's been like expertly crafted into the wall And it's three words the fall of Oriak and as You as you read those you can also see that beside it or would appear to be to [1:04:49] Impact craters in the wall from some kind of projectile [1:05:03] Well, we're gonna refer to the people who are lifetimes older than you give Jenny Mm-hmm. I don't suppose you'd know anything about a place or state called Oriak in its fall [1:05:25] Hmm hmm I will allow a Horus heresy lore check from those of you who have it Oh, it will be challenging for everybody but Cephas because Cephas I'll check Cephas when he's 30 All righty Benno got a 100 He don't know shit or fuck I got an 80 I don't I don't know much more [1:05:50] Corrin says it's war history is stupid True Oh, I'll give it a shot when I'm not even... You know Does it minus 10 for other people? No, just straight for other people Oh, look at that Still failed Wait, how did I fail? Oh, why are you untrained? Oh, yeah, because he is untrained in that So it gets the minus 28 I rolled an 18 So that makes sense Am I the only one who succeeded? [1:06:23] Yes, sir Okay, Cephas again The guy who was not in the... You did not deal with Horus Heresy No, you read books I know, it's really funny to me We all have very skewed perceptions of the Horus Heresy We were at very different places All right, I got a 60 for two degrees of success Okay So The Fall of Auriok was a battle in the Unification Wars That was one of the earliest engagements [1:06:54] Of the Astartes Because the Astartes did fight off and on In some way In small numbers During the Unification War on Terra This was against a city-state That was Very deep in Like ice mountains in the south And [1:07:14] The people who believed there That all of existence Was a result of interactions Between spirits of the dead And the forces of life And so to subdue them The Emperor sent the Imperial Heralds To deal with the city The Imperial Heralds being the Progenitor name of the legion That would come to be known as the Wordbearers Mhm [1:07:39] Which Fall was this again? I'm sorry, my ear caught Auriok Auriok O-R-I-O-C Got it [1:07:57] Cephas I guess will just kind of Relay that to them And again take some minor Amusement of the fact that he knows this Don't [1:08:08] Wordbearers Yes Again history Rearing its head again Some of the earliest mention Of these Well Imperial Heralds became the Wordbearers More Unification War It's curious again I find it so odd Given we are so far away [1:08:35] This is just like The other thing again just to remind is that this is In a very different style [1:08:43] Would I be able to place what kind of style? [1:08:47] Fucking Plus thirty Chaos Space Marines Oh sorry minus thirty Minus thirty alright I'll spend an infamy and make that a minus twenty Absolutely I have a twenty percent chance Of succeeding [1:09:06] I barely failed Very close You cannot It's familiar You can't place the exact Script that you're seeing It's written in a very unusual Way compared to the tomes that I've read On the matter but It's slightly irrelevant The content is the important part Of this and given That we are going through a [1:09:36] Timeline Going forward It's very Odd that it's on the wall here As though someone is trying to keep record of something As it was happening almost Which again Doesn't make a lot of sense given our distance From Terra [1:09:57] So Someone oh sorry Oh no you continue So someone who has a Hang up about a Mission that the imperial heralds Were on came here And wrote all of this Or this was already written here And we followed their trail Back to this old place To clarify for Byzantium The only word up until this one Has been written in a much rougher Different text style I see This writing is Far more elegant and scripted And then there are two impact Craters from some kind of weapon Impact on the wall beside it Hmm I assume uh Bolter shells You can certainly investigate I will happily investigate You can give me um [1:10:51] Tech use at plus ten Tech use at plus ten You got it Uh sixty seven with four degrees of failure It's a bolt shell Hmm [1:11:08] Ugh You know We could spend all day Puzzling out who came Where and when Or we could take the knowledge That we've thus far gained Furnish it as a blade And run it through the heart Of the worst freak we run into I agree with this sentiment Indeed [1:11:36] Though that also Begs the question All of this Scrolling from ancient history We are still In a prison [1:11:49] Was this written by the prisoner Or was it written By the wardens If so where are either Hmm A curious question [1:12:11] I think my own inquiry As to why the conflagration Wished to obliterate this site [1:12:21] It is unlikely they had any desire Other than simple destruction Hmm I would not put it past them Certainly but it does raise a question But an irrelevant question For they did not And we are here now Indeed by the time We are done with this place I would not necessarily mind Raising it to the [1:12:54] Surface of our witchcraft Okay you continue on Um You must spend what is at least An hour maybe more Continuing this descent [1:13:08] Eventually you find Solid ground An expanse of darkness Lit on walls by Distant flames Jutting out [1:13:23] A Complete cavern Of fire But up ahead You can see In a crevice in the wall Is a flame That appears to be Constructed [1:13:42] There's tinder There's logs They're placed down Sort of arranged neatly Like a small bonfire That's been built [1:14:00] Any sign of life I mean there's lots of like side tunnels And things like that but the cave ahead has this like Clearly something that was set up Thurston I have a really important question Um [1:14:18] I would like to Utilize my enhanced Auspex and see if Especially somewhere Underground in a cave system If I can hear Any signs of life Any signs of a heartbeat Sure Give me Give me a check it'll be Just as challenging Alright challenging I'll get plus 20 from my Auspex Yep And I will be able to re-roll this I'll be making an awareness test Ha it's an 89 We'll re-roll that Oh much better A 12 For 6 degrees of success As your companions Are sort of trumping around you try to Like block out any other Site sounds and focus And what you hear is this Breathing Very light but heavy in that When you hear it you can tell This is a heavy breather Just a [1:15:25] How many How far away Somewhere beyond the bonfire Through one of the Side caverns you can't pinpoint where Alright one second 42 Ah sorry guys [1:15:43] Yep Well it's a good thing I I know that I will uh level my sonic blaster And I will begin Following after the sign of the ragged breathing Ready to fire it If something jumps out at me Sure Uh this is a very conspicuous kind of room Thurston with this little Uh friendly bonfire in the middle Yeah there's no shrine there's no fire keeper Yeah no no fire Dammit I can't fucking level up Uh no I'm gonna sniff around for traps Um this this seems a little too convenient This seems like uh maybe some Somewhere someone was staying [1:16:23] Yeah sure give me a scrutiny Uh test to investigate This particular cavern yeah I'll give you a plus ten cause you're coming in aware Could I give you survival Oh I'll allow survival sure Wait ah that's the wrong button Okay survival that one's better Plus ten you said I'll allow that yeah plus ten [1:16:44] Ah didn't help me Uh that's gonna be 75 for two degrees of failure Okay You walk into the area Um you can see that on the ground there are Several footprints Um some of them appear to be Transhuman scaled You see these sort of telltale boot prints Of of Powered armor Uh you also see that there's several bolt shells Casings that have been That have fallen onto the ground here [1:17:16] Bolt shells Uh do they look recent Or is it hard to tell I [1:17:27] Yeah Yeah give me a tech use Uh just straight up Oh cool Well I'm dumb as hell I'll give you a 91 for Nine degrees of failure I'll say what I said before to speaker it's a bolt shell It's a bolt shell Oh you don't Clearly it's uh He'll like snatch it out of your hand And I'll also want to roll a tech use I can't wait for you to fail And be like it's a bolt shell Clearly a bolt shell Alright straight up Yep That's what I'm thinking [1:18:07] Oh my god It's clearly a bolt shell Clearly it's an advanced bolt shell you idiot And he just drops it on the ground Advanced in what way If you will elucidate me You'll figure it out when you're older Go piss off Kick the bolt shell It like makes a Tinking sound as it bounces off the ground [1:18:37] Likewise Byzantium you hear the breathing intensify Like a [1:18:49] I'm uh I'm chasing after that Intensified breathing I'm just slowly walking towards it Does it get more rapid as I get closer No as you start to close In the turn you can You basically hear it go to almost nothing Like very Shallow breaths As though it's reacted To your presence [1:19:16] I'm uh I'm not gonna let up I'm gonna just keep going Until I see it until I find it Okay You turn a corner and when you turn The corner there is a Figure standing no more than Two meters away from you With a bolt pistol level To your head And holding a Chainsword He is Bedecked in Brass armor With like red horse hair Plume his helmet Has this visor that covers His eyes but otherwise his face Is clear there is a symbol of a Raptor um that is Tattooed onto his bare chest Because he doesn't wear a Breastplate he only has These um these large Brass pauldrons As though some something You've seen in a museum Um on on board you know The pride of the emperor The mark one power armor Oh my god Can I recognize What this brave boy is Um [1:20:30] Yeah yeah yeah If you've seen the armor you'd know Enough of the history [1:20:35] Well I didn't think there were more of you Running around in this beautiful Galaxy of ours [1:20:44] I'm going I have to Say this Oh no [1:20:52] Oh my One hundred How are there three one hundreds In this session With that one hundred I will lean in close And I will say Your secret is safe with Me [1:21:11] But I uh I will not stop pointing the sonic Blaster at them as long as they've got a bolt pistol Pointed at me yeah the bolt pistol Is there very clearly You see just subtle head movements You can't see the eyes behind the red Visor but subtle head movements There's like an assessment happening here [1:21:31] Why don't you say We just take this conversation Out of the shadows As the voice is echoing Through are any of the rest of you doing Anything If I hear uh byzantii Being up to some shit I'm gonna follow them Oh you certainly all hear this it's kind of echoing Echoey as fuck in here Oh yeah definitely congregating over Yeah byzantii what did you find Or who Oh god give me another Willpower test give me another willpower test Here we go here we go here we go Did you get another one hundred Oh my god Come on This is so good that like he's The middle man and he can't Fucking say there's like the bead of Sweat on his brow Yeah Oh you're really Going to be mad at me when you find out What are you Talking about I'm already mad Yeah well [1:22:31] That's a change Plotting up to him Yeah you you cross the corner of Fil and you immediately See this figure the the Rather than the bolt pistol adjusting The the chain Sword almost comes out Um in a very subtle arc To be more ready to parry you [1:22:56] Uh but I was gonna have The chain hammer out already [1:23:02] Kind of like guns a little Bit in response [1:23:06] Figures stares at it Yeah Thurston is there any is it there enough Space for Cephas to also the round the corner So that way this guy can point another weapon At him I mean you can like Try to come between them yeah you could go between them [1:23:21] Cephas Will gently muscle In What's going on over here why are you revving Your weapon and And he will I guess get an Eyeful of the uh The very gold plated Fellow It's actually less gold and more of like a Brass like a Brass in some cases Um with with like copper tones In there um It's it's evident to all of you What this is this is this is A thunder warrior He's sort of proto Human that the emperor of mankind Made on mass to Subjugate terra before the start of the Great crusade [1:24:04] Cephas is going to stand there for a few moments Before eventually His voice probably Lower and more creaky than you've Heard it so far [1:24:15] Oh now That is very interesting [1:24:23] Evgeny will try and squeeze Into the room amid the Four power armored individuals Or at the very least four power armored oversized individuals Scooting in Does Evgeny know what a thunder You would have no fucking clue No fucking clue Like space marine with Just no shirt on Yeah in like in the in the 40th Millennium and like these this is Like a space marine but wrong like space Marines have some of that like Squat sort of like Patrician beauty in some cases This thing this thing does Not this this thing is Muscle and pain And anger in a Way that even even makes Bethael seem [1:25:10] Contained And noble They were a lot larger And a lot stronger than space marines Yup [1:25:19] Is Is he With you Bethael He looks kind of I I don't know is he a cornet give me a will Power test Me minus ten oh no Okay not the transhuman Dread yeah Oh no 78 for five Years of failure cool Can you roll me a D100 plus 50 Mother fuck [1:25:55] Need to be Upset 98 So 148 okay Please tell Me he doesn't pass out Well I mean [1:26:13] Sick what is Passing out really yeah Like at least it's passing out And not away that's true Yeah very good point 1140 okay Okay [1:26:29] Um [1:26:34] You See this you make your Sly comment And then realize how wrong This thing is like Evgeny you This thing is Wrong to you Um You attack it make me a shot With your weapon Well it was nice knowing y'all Don't worry If he takes a swing he's hitting me Cause I have three Sorry I no I don't have the green launcher anymore So I'm gonna get rid of that one [1:27:18] I'm gonna say I have my lasgun out Yup yup yup yup that's what I assumed Hit him with the lasgun Uh what's the range on this normal range point blank Yeah point blank You're that close I raise my hands Yes May I uh may I intercede With the thing With the psychic power [1:27:41] Um not Not with how fast this has happened Like you're not prepared for this like you just You just see Evgeny raise and shoot and there's No time to prepare for this In fairness shooting at the Fucking thunder warriors may be The last thing you thought that uh Someone would try to do Well Lyphos doesn't see it Lyphos Lyphos Also doesn't see the thunder warrior Cause he's the only one who hasn't turned to the corner So So yeah That's an 89 with one degree of failure Uh so Evgeny rounds the corners makes this Statement sees Just like the rot Undulating fuck muscle of this Genetic freak Yes that's a beautiful way to put it And says Oh fuck Pulls the trigger on his last gun Shot goes wide Okay as this happens give me another willpower test Okay Let's find out if he passes out [1:28:43] From right Just challenging One hundred That's another one What the fuck is happening today So at this point You are you are weeping Tears and you're like You are not able to snap out of it That was the check to snap out of it At this point Lyphos I will allow you to interject Seeing this This atrocity going on Cause I remember Mentioning that I meander over I didn't want to interrupt people by I'm trying to give you more time to role play [1:29:17] So for this I want to Cast compel Yeah Cause I had another power for the thunder warrior ready Um I want to cast compel on uh Evgeny Sure [1:29:32] Uh so basically let me And no I will not go all out on this one Just this once Yeah just this once I will though Uh just to make it fun Do unfettered Just uh just to make it fun for us And I know Thurston likes it And I like gambling so I don't need it I'm gonna win anyway Let's go gambling Yeah fuck it [1:29:59] I'm gonna literally win That is a 25 for 7 degrees of success Um Basically just as the thing here If the command is a potentially Whatever tag duh duh I'm basically making you just put your stuff down I'm pretty much like Evgeny cease Like a powerful voice Just hits your mind Uh as a basically You just find the will to not even bring The last gun full up As if you're like Gravity has just like increased by like a lot You just Drop actually Do I have to resist this or can I just Embrace this You can try to resist it But if you resist There is no way mathematically You can succeed unless you roll a one I would love to see it happen I wanna just see I wanna see Just see No targets on for evasion Just make a little power test [1:30:59] Yeah Just roll that d100 Almost No Um you Evgeny You You just like hold your weapon Kind of like You probably fired up and so when you were compelled to stop Your weapon still like this like I don't know like 220 degree Angle like in front of your face As you were frozen solid Um at this The figure kind of begins to To speak But you just hear this Oh god [1:31:38] Oh Oh what the fuck What the fuck are you We aren't training the military good anymore [1:31:48] What Huh You ain't part of the cream of the crop Sorry that's all I think he's gonna say Right Uh Can I like hold Can I hold Cephas' gun Can I hold like Can I hold my own weapon Can I like place my hand Can I place my hand on Evgeny's barrel And aim it towards the ground Yeah absolutely There's just like a I mean he's already dropped like the gun Like he fell to his knees Oh okay I thought you fell to your knees and were still pointing it at him Yeah you were still pointing it because you were compelled to Cause I think Zorn intentionally didn't make you drop it In case combat did happen Hahahaha Yeah Bethael is going to stand Between this thunder warrior And Evgeny just in case Cause this guy is very armed And very close to our boy [1:32:42] I'm so sorry I'm so sorry Oh god oh god oh god Oh fuck me Why would I ever say cock Fuck is so much better Hahahaha [1:32:57] Oh wow I don't want that There's a better From the geno chiliad Than this What Speak quickly Who are you and why are you here [1:33:13] Oh you're asking questions For things you don't want answers to But alright My name I'm Dahab [1:33:25] That's the name of the planet Not your name Was the planet named after you The planet The planet we are on In hell In [1:33:41] You know I can understand why he would think that Looking around at the like fire And like brimstone [1:33:51] You're in hell [1:33:56] Byzante I'd like to try something I'm going to uh Flash the pauldron Of mine that uh Displays the emperor's children's Crest And I'd like to see if he has any Reaction to that Given that that same crest was The emperor's personal sigil [1:34:22] Um yeah You do this The weapon still stays raised Oh Your demon Come to represent him Are you tormenting me In the afterlife [1:34:39] Something Quite to the contrary I'm an angel Who opposes him in all things But I am his child And none of us are dead I've been dead I saw The last sunrise When Eric Taranis Raised the standard And then [1:35:12] Betrayed How [1:35:23] Forgive me [1:35:35] To them like like none of them know it like that's the thing none of them none of them have any understanding of what actually happened to the thunder worries the the truth is is that they all died out like during a famous battle and that they all kind of gave their lives to give the emperor the big win betrayal who betrayed you the person who's got that there eagle on them I who I what are you so certain the way history is told you lot martyred yourselves in a great battle what they say it is what they say that what the demons say [1:36:35] We are not demons have you living yourselves I bet they like examines his hands and the scorpion tail and the scorpion tail yeah the tail is unrelated I am not a demon only one I can believe is not a demon it's that little man there not that he's a man it's a little cry baby come on man it's a little bit a little bitch boy aren't you [1:37:16] Why are you doing this why do you live [1:37:21] When I came into this session I did not expect to be berated by macho man randy savage the thunder it's not on my list of things to have happened but here we are people would expect that [1:37:37] Everything about you is wrong you're like you're like a big pile of grog's meat puppeted by worms [1:37:49] It's fascinating by the mass of incognito tormented anguish you shouldn't be alive I bet you grew up on a farm I did yeah I can tell [1:38:12] I like this guy fuck you pasanti why I just he's kind of cool [1:38:22] Would you please stop antagonizing our charge I resent the implication that we are demons [1:38:30] But what if you sayah I can't let us not that man has no face that's weeping all sorts of substances that one's a skull and you have a scorpion tail bethale let us not avoid calling a duck a duck shall we nothingach I suppose so but we are not demons sent to torment him in the afterlife bethahel let us not avoid calling a duck a duck shall we no I suppose not I suppose so but we are not demons sent to torment him in the afterlife this not we are not demons sent to torment him in the afterlife this not we are not demons sent to torment him in the afterlife this which he not the afterlife, unless we have somehow crushed that threshold magically. [1:39:09] But I do not smell this sort of witchcraft. [1:39:16] Are you aware that there are stairs this direction? [1:39:25] Gone of them a few times, came down and went up them. Yes, and we have come down them as well, and we are up on the surface. And you are here. You could come with us to the surface, and you would see that we are not in fact in hell. [1:39:44] That's trickery. I don't take well to trickery. Cephas is going to lean forward a little bit. [1:39:58] If this is truly hell, why have we only just now arrived? Surely we should have been here already, wouldn't we? Can I roll a charm on him? The first, and yeah, give me a charm test. [1:40:13] I'm going to put I want to put down a [1:40:18] Another infamy odd that I'm using a lot of infamy. Well, you don't have to spend like an infamy point. It's it's the one for the session. So yeah, I know. Well, it's of the two, right? Like because I have 25, the two that you get per session. Yeah, got it. This is my second one. Oh, wait, we get infamy every session. You get to spend your first number for those bonuses. [1:40:43] Per session. Oh, okay. Okay. Yeah, you don't actually reduce your infamy score when you do that. I got a 43 for two degrees of successes. [1:40:55] Hmm. You're not the first. The other one came and spoke, spoke about what was going on, but he definitely said this was a hell for me. [1:41:10] Other one. What did he look like? The one with the horse skull mask. [1:41:20] Which everyone but Cephas and Evgeny would recognize was the attire of Zolanaki. A horse heresy. So he was here. [1:41:35] The horse had a mask. Lord, if we're going to talk about things, we might as well do it by the fire. [1:41:45] And he slowly begins to lower the bolt pistol. [1:41:54] Bethael's going to keep his hands on the chain hammer, but he's going to stop revving it. [1:42:01] Hmm. Now, this I like. Let us talk, old warrior. [1:42:10] Yeah. And he basically brushes past all of you again, towering above even most of you. And like, as he passes by Bethael, there's just the slightest look at the weapon. What a joke. What? Show you how much of a joke it is. Bethael. Oh, yeah? [1:42:36] Yeah? Got something to prove? I don't need to prove anything to you, but I'm glad to. We'll be a good little boy and sit by the fire. [1:42:53] And he walks and sits by the fire. It's the time. [1:43:07] Alright, the slab of meat mountain sits by the fire, creaking of old power armor joints. Uh... Kind of echoes through the cave along with the crackling of the flames. [1:43:24] Take a seat, tempting demons and their little guy. [1:43:31] Lifos will stand Piccolo aura farming in the side. I still listen. Excellent. Poe constantly flapping. [1:43:44] Okay. What about the rest of you? Cephas is gonna step over very slowly and very heavily. And he's going to plant his sword on the ground and just sit down with it still like fully upright next to it with his hand on the hilt. [1:44:09] Evgeny will pull himself up from his knees a little bit so he's not so sad and pathetic right now. [1:44:18] And using his Laz rifle will bring himself to standing. [1:44:27] Byzantium will find a way to interject himself between uh Bethael and their new friend and his otherwise absolutely lovingness listening to the old soul with rapt attention. [1:44:43] Okay. Bethael is going to not exactly sit but he's going to kind of go to both of his knees and sit back on his heels. Okay. Kind of ready to spring up if he has to. All of you take your positions. [1:45:03] Zoran. Yes, sir. Read this. Read this quote for me. I get one. [1:45:10] Oh, yippee. Let me fit it in the frame. Yippee. Yippee. [1:45:17] Anathema. Nothing of such grand scale can be achieved without a singular vision at its heart. Least of all the reconquest of the galaxy. By the fool, didn't you just tell me that the bloody slaughter is perpetuated by crusaders? Doesn't that make you know better than the holy men you were telling me about? Anathema replies, the difference is I know I am right. Intercepted warp transmission circa M32, date unknown. [1:45:50] Recorded as background static following translation of Aurum Tempestus into real, into real space. The figure sitting at the fire, looks over all of you. So you say you're not demons, but look at y'all. You're very, very different. Except that guy. You're just a regular human. He used to love you so much. I think he loved you more than he loved even the golden boys. [1:46:35] I used to think that he loved us too, but not if his age is certain. Regents do what they do and expend us as callously as the bodies of the dead, ammunition and secrets. [1:46:55] Oh, you bitch and moan about being expended. You see those boat shells on the ground there? Kind of points over. That's what we were doing. [1:47:13] Once we'd done these dirty work, we were done. Well, that's when he looks over at the four Astartes. That's when he did the next step. [1:47:29] Not much of an evolution, I'd say. He hocks up a wad of phlegm and spits it into the fire. [1:47:41] So what's it all for, then? Just a new weapon better than the last. Aimed, shot, discarded. [1:47:54] That's the cosmic. Joke. [1:48:01] I suppose so. If you aren't demons, he looks at the Astartes again, and you're just as discarded by him as those boat shells on the ground. Looks at Byzante, pauldron or no. [1:48:19] You couldn't be more right. But the difference between us is that we fought back. [1:48:33] Hell, we even won. Did you? Is what you are now winning? Are you winning, son? [1:48:47] Yeah. I was waiting for it. There's no crown in baseball. Thank you. Are you winning, son? [1:48:56] Iconic. I admit, it was more of a Pyrrhic victory than anything, but at the very least, we put the bastard on life support. I admit, it was more of a Pyrrhic victory than anything, but at the very least, we put the bastard on life support. I figured you would at least be gracious about that. And the other demon said he was a god. [1:49:25] Did he? A false god, but a god to everyone and everything we tried to build. [1:49:38] An element of truth to that perhaps. So again, did you really win, or you're just trying to make yourself feel better cause you have to? So again, did you really win, or you're just trying to make yourself feel better cause you have to? That bad because that's how I feel all the time let me ask you something old warrior would you believe it to be better to die for the Emperor than live for yourself was never about him it was about the brotherhood it was about what we had together yes and now you are here yes we are here I'm in my hell you [1:50:35] Know we we were we were divided into 20 allegiance did you know that how [1:50:52] Creative I served under who Shetain he was the prime mark of the fourth I served under who Shetain he was the prime mark of the fourth he just copied it when he made you of course those Primarch's got lost must be painful never knowing your daddy's but they all kind of screws up his lips a little about that you are mistaken many of us did know our gene fathers for better or for ill how did that happen they got lost in the stars is what I heard later they were that's what the demons told me you were given outdated information they were found scattered some more broken than others they were found some I'd say they were pretty broken looking at all of you what brings you to a pit prison for a damned soul like me you're searching searching for them I'm [1:52:33] You go, they were talking to you. Latency dance, fucking discord. [1:52:38] Sorry, I thought I was throwing a pause. No, you're good. You continue, you're still talking, you were talking to the bastard, I interrupted. No, you're good. [1:52:47] We are here following the trail of the man who you have apparently already spoken to, the man with the horse mask. [1:52:58] We all rode the ship together. You're here looking for power. In a sense, we are bound to a cursed ship. [1:53:17] He is the only one who found a way to break that curse. [1:53:23] I would know what he did. He didn't talk about no curse. He talked about power, that he wanted to seek power. He came to me to ask about it. [1:53:46] What power do you have to offer? He sort of choked. This rumbling, landslip of mountains, gravelly, back-end voice. Oh no, not me. [1:54:02] Him. He wanted to know the power he had. [1:54:14] I see. [1:54:20] Regardless of what power he has found, within or without himself, [1:54:27] I still would have answers from him. Hmm. Is that what drives you, vengeance? Is that what drives all of you? [1:54:40] Hardly. [1:54:49] No. I would simply, I would simply know how I might return to the brothers that I once enacted glorious violence aside. [1:55:06] Beside. I wish to find what remains of those who I once fought beside. [1:55:21] You fought for glory. You fought for brotherhood at one point. You understand. [1:55:29] Kind of looks like wistfully at the fire flickering off the cave walls. [1:55:36] I wasn't there, but they told me about it. Later on, those of us who were left tried to storm the palace. [1:55:51] Gunned down, the last of them. As if betrayal weren't enough. Those that lived under great Ushetan, charged the walls. [1:56:02] And they were gunned down by those. By you. [1:56:10] The newer model. But you know what all that power did to the old man? All that power did, from what you're telling me, what the horseman told me, what the voices in the cave tell me, [1:56:33] Trapped him to a chair. Indeed. [1:56:40] So, if you're really looking to following his footsteps, I'll tell you where I sent the horse-masked man. [1:56:53] Because I think you're going to end up on that chair just the same. [1:57:04] You are free to think that. What was that, eagle boy? [1:57:15] Oh, I was just going to comment. Not all of us are as insipid and banal as that. Of course. [1:57:28] Brotherhood. Oh, it's a beautiful thing. But I think that the brothers of the one with the scorpion tail have all gone the way of the thunder warrior. [1:57:41] Quiet! [1:57:48] There is no brotherhood or fraternity for you. Just like there's none for me. Watch your fucking mouth, Slaaneshi. No. Yes, of course. You won't tolerate backtalk. Oh, but I'm sure your friends in the World Eaters certainly don't mind plunging chainswords into one another like it's so much draught and chaff. [1:58:22] No, no. I don't want to wind up on a terrible throne. Nor do I want to reconnect with that which is lost. [1:58:34] I'm going to make a final willpower test to see if I can say something. Yeah. Oh, boy. [1:58:43] Damn it. Okay. You can say the thing, Speaker. You made a check earlier. Really? Yes. [1:58:54] I guess you can roleplay today. If you kiss me, I take it back. You can't say a fucking thing for the rest of the session. Get out. Really? During Pride Month? There we go. My God. [1:59:05] Thank you, Hunky, for grabbing it. Thank you. Okay. You haven't forgotten this, Slaaneshi's Fruity. True. So true. [1:59:18] I just want to rebuild what's been squandered. [1:59:25] I want to take that which has been shattered and misused, and I want to turn it into something with at least a semblance of its former glory. My legion. The third legion. We were the best of our brothers, and we have winnowed ourselves down to naught but a little nub, just like you to have in your deepest... I know I'm dead. You die only because you stay within this cave. [2:00:04] If you wanted, you could join us upon our cursed vessel. You could find glories and treasures, something to live for beyond the half-forgotten ghosts of a century's century. Instead, you're wrought here in hell, I'm sure. [2:00:23] Maybe I deserve it. Why would you deserve it? Because I didn't realize what we were becoming sooner. Maybe that's the great irony of everything. Maybe if I just accept it, maybe there's some forgiveness in that, instead of just keep going on with the belief that I'm right and everyone else is wrong. [2:00:56] But if you're gonna go, I won't stop you. Speaker, may I? Or would you prefer to continue? [2:01:09] You can take the conch, but I might rip it back later. That's okay. I wanted to clarify before I did so. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're fine. [2:01:20] Old warrior, deserving of it according to whose metric? [2:01:29] My own. It's the only standards I can live by now. I've seen so many ghosts, so many demons, so many figments. I can't tell what's real anymore. But the only thing I need to be real is the walls and the fires down here. [2:01:58] Broken individuals. They mar this galaxy like pockmarks upon the skin. And yet, they are as wondrous as any of us. [2:02:11] Tell me, do you have any interest in anything beyond sitting here and whipping yourself for failures that you could not have stopped? [2:02:22] Or is that it? It's enough. It's a living. I would not think so. It sounds more like a dying to me. [2:02:40] Everyone who's living's dying. It's just how you choose to live and die. [2:02:49] As you say. We're all part of the plan in some way. If you wish to stay here and rot into nothingness, I can think of nothing more suitable. I accept your decision. I applaud it even. So you're gonna follow the horse mask demon? [2:03:21] I am late to this discussion particularly, but I follow wherever it is they go. That's the joy of freedom. We get to pick and choose where we go, what we do, and how we do it. And you, my old progenitor, you are free as well. You are free to stay here while the rest of us go and accomplish what we wish. In the name of whatever we wish it to be, be it the dark gods, ourselves, it matters not. [2:03:57] You may remain here. What about you, Skeletor? [2:04:06] I just assumed that this man watched like He-Man because these people were from the 80s. You know what, Thurston? I'm gonna one-up you. You know what he would have watched? Oh. Thundar the Barbarian. Thundar the Barbarian? Yeah! Yeah! Yeah, okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Fair point. Yeah. Lifos continues to Aura Farm. Oh. I know you handed me an RPC and you're like, hey, man, here you go. I didn't bite the sandwich. [2:04:38] I apologize. You're good. You're good. All right then. What about you, little man? [2:04:51] Yes, Evgeny, that's directed at you. I was about to say, I don't think he's addressing Lucitrix. She's kind of hiding. [2:04:59] What's done is done. He can't undo it. What we can do now is move forward. Not in vengeance, but in justice. [2:05:27] You're young. You learn more. I'm a bit older. It's a couple centuries before I came here. He's one of the first, you know. He needed some of us when he went into space. [2:05:45] Don't talk about that much. You know, he left Earth. That's what they called it. He left Earth a couple times before he started taking it over. I went with him. I went to the Red Dust Bowl planet. Yeah, you know it is Terra. But it used to be Earth. [2:06:13] Then we went to the Red Planet. Went to some place called the Noctis Labyrinth. I stayed outside. Then we went into the warp. Going through the warp in that time was tough. But he had this effect. Like he could get to where he needed to go. [2:06:39] Planet. Planet called Moloch. He had this woman with him. She talked a lot. Alyssa. Olivia was her. I don't know. [2:06:52] Brought us down. Went to some underground place for a bit. Left. [2:07:02] But you know, he went somewhere else. Byzantium. Can you give me a lore Horus heresy? And give me a plus 20 to the results. You got it. [2:07:19] Oh, 98. This is part of the heresy. See, you are not familiar with. [2:07:30] There was another planet we went to. That's where I sent your horus skull friend. [2:07:41] He's not over here. He left for it, I think, right away when I told him. When I told him that the Emperor went there. [2:07:57] Planet. It's called Shachim. Drop the text. [2:08:08] I really was hoping you would say he would be like. Yeah. He left just right when you arrived. You all missed him. Yeah. We're too busy. You literally just missed him. You know, if you hadn't gone after that thunder hog, you would have met him. And then the campaign will be over. Yeah. Yeah. [2:08:29] That's. That's where he went. Yeah. That's where you're going to have to go. [2:08:36] And what's waiting on this Shachim? Power for those willing to take it. [2:08:48] Well, I do like the sound of that. [2:08:59] Old soul. I have a question. Say it my curiosity. [2:09:10] If you were us, what would you do? Do what I did in life. Go out in a blaze of glory. [2:09:28] Ah, beside my brothers. [2:09:37] Fine thought. But I've got an interesting permutation. [2:09:43] I'm going to live in a blaze of glory. [2:09:56] Well, would anyone else like to have a conversation with this? Musty old fellow before we head out. [2:10:10] Well, that is what we came for. Our next lead. [2:10:16] Are you the only one remaining down here? [2:10:20] This is my hell and my hell alone. Except for the demons that come in. I see. [2:10:37] Then unless you wish to leave this hell, we will leave it without you. Hm. Seems like you got a hell of your own to go back to. [2:10:50] One can share hell. They say hell is other people. Dahab sort of like stands up very slowly, methodically. [2:11:05] Kind of arcs his shoulders slightly. Yeah. Well, you find the hell you live in and you make it your own. And he takes one step into the bonfire. And when he does so, his body combusts into ash that just scatters on the air. Oh. [2:11:34] Leaving a quiet, empty cave, except for you and your companions. Dead! [2:11:46] Lyphos looks back at them all. Are you done talking to yourselves? [2:11:54] What was this trickery witchcraft? Lyphos shrugs and starts walking up the stairs. [2:12:09] Wasn't the world talking to us, was it? I mean, it was named Dahab. [2:12:17] Can planets do that? I don't know. I believe the planet has heard entirely too much of Byzantium saying it, and it has its own secrets to keep. [2:12:32] It has many secrets, I'm sure. Oh. That's copyrighted. You can't say that. Was he copyrighted? I'd say it copied you perfectly right, Byzantium. Hmm. Ha. Zephys. Ha ha ha ha. Ha ha ha. Yes. Byzantium looks at any nearby pits that he could throw Zephys down before eventually deciding against it. You're going to have a hell of a time. He's very heavy. Well, there's a whip. There's a wig. [2:13:07] When will you wear wigs? When will you wear wigs? A wig! [2:13:13] Evgeny, when will you wear wigs? I've already got plenty of hair. He didn't get it. Get him a radium armor. At this point, you've ascended up the stairs, reaching the Thunderhawk. That's right. Yeah, we'll ascend up the stairs. Bethael is looking very quiet. He's got his arms folded and his brow furrowed. The one brain cell is pinging around in there. What's the matter, Bethael? You look like you've seen a ghost. [2:13:45] And I'm not just saying that because you probably have. The piss off. What? I can't show some care for my dear old brother? [2:13:57] Care? Please. You cannot even muster up an ounce of care for the ones who were your battle brothers. Well, that's because they're all degenerates. Miss Clea. You are not. Not in the same degree, no. [2:14:17] Evgeny? Yeah, Thurston? Can you give me an Operate Aeronautica at plus 20 to take off out of here? We're stuck. We're stuck in the pit. Yes, you can. You can just go into the wall if you'd like. Can I give him support again? Oh, okay. Can you support from crashing into the wall? Okay. I want to support him out of instantly failing. Okay. So, yeah, I'll let you do it with a plus 20. [2:14:46] Make the check. Okay. All right. Evgeny. All right. You give me. You give me. My will is strong and the gods are watching. 83. Three degrees of failure. Oh, my God. Did you roll a willpower check? [2:15:03] Oh, sorry. I heard. In my mind's eye, I was doing willpower. Well, Thurston. Yeah, of course. He was rolling a willpower to stop himself from crashing the plane with no survivors. No. No. Exactly. Exactly. They expect one of us. Roll the right check, Hulky. That was the right check. No, it wasn't. That's a willpower check. No, you rolled willpower check. That was the right check. And now I failed. [2:15:23] Okay. Oh, 19. Seven degrees of success. Yay! I successfully crashed. As you aim the vessel towards the wall and go full tilt. So. And Cephas's hand gingerly just, like, pushes the throttle up. So you actually start changing direction and heading up instead of directly into the wall. The guy just looks up at Cephas. He just looks so tired and so sad. Oh, come now, mortal. This is not that bad. [2:15:56] I just want something that doesn't make me break down and piss myself. I need this so bad. Now, don't take us with you. There's far better things for us to do. No, you'll be fine. You're in ceramite. You'll live. You'll be stranded on this planet, you guinea. [2:16:18] So you, as the Thunderhawk ascends into the atmosphere, eventually reaching space, the camera sort of pans, looking at the orange Thunderhawk with a broken fin and a broken front landing strut, whizz by, and then focuses on the planet Dahab, which begins to dissipate in the same sort of misty, smoky effect that happened to the man named Dahab when he stepped into the fire. And there's a very brief, oh, yeah, as the planet disappears entirely. [2:17:00] And then the camera pans back towards the Thunderhawk. Except. Instead of a Thunderhawk that is orange, there is a Thunderhawk in midnight clad, dodging laser fire as thousands of starships battle in orbit over the throne world of humanity. And that is where we will call today's episode. Yippee! Last one! I was going to have Lucitrix shout out. Oh, crap, the planet just disappeared. We're going to lose gravity. [2:17:43] Well.
