- 0:02Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. That's your favorite time
- 0:04Speaker 1: of week. You download the crazy sheets, you get you
- 0:06Speaker 1: some turkey, you get you some dressing, you get you
- 0:09Speaker 1: some family time. You get stuck with your uncle or
- 0:12Speaker 1: your brother that you don't really want to spend that
- 0:13Speaker 1: much time with, but you get to watch some football.
- 0:16Speaker 1: I'm marking home in the college football padcasting studio and
- 0:19Speaker 1: scouts at home.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Brother, How the hell are you good? Getting ready for
- 0:22Speaker 2: a little turkey day? Little uh little egg bowl early
- 0:28Speaker 2: on Friday morning. I miss it being on Thanksgiving, but
- 0:32Speaker 2: it's uh Chase lost on the road, I mean one
- 0:35Speaker 2: on the road last week as a road dog, I said,
- 0:39Speaker 2: I think I said two and a half last week.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Big underdogs this week, so mark twenty four and a
- 0:44Speaker 2: half playing their rival. They're banged up, gonna get ugly.
- 0:48Speaker 2: I got a bad feeling, but they are not healthy
- 0:51Speaker 2: by any stretch. But it should be fun. It's been
- 0:54Speaker 2: a great ride. Playoff football has been fun for the
- 0:57Speaker 2: for the freshman. So it's been a good time, been
- 1:01Speaker 2: a really really good time.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Oh goodness, Well, you got a couple of games. This
- 1:06Speaker 1: week's got a couple of announcements. We got Jim Moore
- 1:09Speaker 1: Junior head to Kyli ri Oute of State, and we got
- 1:12Speaker 1: Eric Morris headed to Oklahoma State. I thought those were
- 1:15Speaker 1: two good hires. Obviously, James took the job job at
- 1:18Speaker 1: Virginia Tech, so I'm anticipating that this week we should
- 1:22Speaker 1: have some big moves. And obviously we're supposed to get
- 1:25Speaker 1: the announcement Delane Kiffin announcement, which I'm as excited about
- 1:29Speaker 1: as I was the Lebron James announcement on where he's
- 1:32Speaker 1: going to go next year.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Couldn't agree more, although it would be funny. I posted
- 1:35Speaker 2: this on Can you imagine him going? Jordan Belcher? I
- 1:37Speaker 2: posted this on Twitter? Can you imagine him just, you know, pregame,
- 1:42Speaker 2: post game, let's say wins, and he grabs a micron
- 1:45Speaker 2: I'm not leaving, just goes bananas and be hilarious watching.
- 1:50Speaker 2: I don't know what would be funnier him doing that
- 1:52Speaker 2: or watching every old miss fan's been cussing him and
- 1:55Speaker 2: burning him in effigy for the last ten days, scrubbing
- 1:58Speaker 2: their social media back.
- 2:05Speaker 1: I kind of hope he does it, And like I said,
- 2:07Speaker 1: because then you would start the college football season, and
- 2:10Speaker 1: in the college football season with the Wolfele Rall Street reference.
- 2:13Speaker 1: You've got David Randa's midget analogy to start the season,
- 2:17Speaker 1: and Jordan Belfort with Lane Kiffin at the end of
- 2:19Speaker 1: the season. So yeah, that would make everything great again.
- 2:23Speaker 1: That is college football. So anyway, good slate of games
- 2:27Speaker 1: this week. Still got some things that have to work
- 2:28Speaker 1: themselves out. College Football Committee is going to have to
- 2:32Speaker 1: struggle to figure out how they're going to cram these
- 2:34Speaker 1: teams in. I think we will have some upsets this
- 2:38Speaker 1: week that could cause some problems and maybe make it
- 2:41Speaker 1: easier for him. I don't know, man, but I'm excited about. Nonetheless,
- 2:45Speaker 1: You've got a lot of games that have been around
- 2:47Speaker 1: for years, a lot of rivalry games that are big
- 2:50Speaker 1: into the areas of the country that they live in,
- 2:53Speaker 1: i e. Texas and Texas, A and M. This will
- 2:55Speaker 1: be the second time they've played this game since Texas
- 2:58Speaker 1: joins the SEC, and I think the Aggie fan base
- 3:02Speaker 1: is as nervous as they have ever been in their
- 3:06Speaker 1: life that their special season could get interrupted by the Longhorns.
- 3:10Speaker 1: And it would only make it worse if they sent
- 3:12Speaker 1: him out to Lubbock and had to play in the
- 3:13Speaker 1: playoffs and lost to Tech. And then that's what they
- 3:15Speaker 1: would remember is the best season in A and M's
- 3:19Speaker 1: last forty years. They lost to Texas and A Tech
- 3:21Speaker 1: in the same year.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Yes, that would be and that would be so aggy.
- 3:26Speaker 2: But I will tell you this Mark as We as
- 3:30Speaker 2: you referenced Texas Tech saw I saw this post because
- 3:35Speaker 2: obviously I follow a lot of gambling guys. But Todd
- 3:37Speaker 2: Furman posted the best win for every Big ten team,
- 3:42Speaker 2: I mean Big twelve team and the non conference. Get
- 3:45Speaker 2: a load of this. Arizona State, Good, Texas State, Arizona,
- 3:50Speaker 2: Kansas State, BYU, East Carolina, Baylor, SMU, Cincinnati, Bowling Green, Colorado, Delaware, Houston, Rice,
- 4:00Speaker 2: Iowa State, Iowa, Kansas, President State, Kansas State, North Dakota,
- 4:05Speaker 2: Oklahoma State, U Team Martin, TCU, SMU, Texas Tech, Oregon
- 4:13Speaker 2: State or Kent State, UCF, North Carolina, Utah, UCLA, in
- 4:19Speaker 2: West Virginia, Pittsburgh. It was fascinating to me that a
- 4:25Speaker 2: couple of things. There are some bad football teams on
- 4:27Speaker 2: their as their best non conference wins. But b Yu,
- 4:32Speaker 2: we're talking a playoff team. Their best win non conference
- 4:35Speaker 2: is East Carolina. I mean that is we're talking about
- 4:39Speaker 2: this team making the playoff. I don't care if they've
- 4:41Speaker 2: lost one game. They played one really good team and
- 4:43Speaker 2: they got their ask kick, I mean got kicked, and
- 4:48Speaker 2: that Utah is as close to making it. They're uber
- 4:52Speaker 2: close to getting three teams in. That's usinine with this
- 4:58Speaker 2: non conference gi and that you don't even talk about
- 5:04Speaker 2: Lane kiffling. But it's gonna do to old miss Hey.
- 5:08Speaker 2: I don't believe that, but if they did, everybody on
- 5:10Speaker 2: that committee ought to be fired anyway. I mean, you
- 5:13Speaker 2: gotta talk about it. I mean, my goodness, you didn't
- 5:16Speaker 2: put FSU in a couple of years ago because their
- 5:18Speaker 2: quarterback got hurt. Kind of a coach is more influential
- 5:21Speaker 2: than that, I mean, I just I find that crazy
- 5:26Speaker 2: to believe. But Bore, you look at it, and how
- 5:29Speaker 2: in the world is the ACC or people thinking about
- 5:32Speaker 2: putting two ACC teams in. You've got to be kidding me.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Sm You may win that conference. Yes, they may win
- 5:39Speaker 2: that conference, and they're the best non conference win for
- 5:44Speaker 2: two teams that are basically in the middle of the
- 5:47Speaker 2: pack of the Big twelve. This is a very very
- 5:51Speaker 2: heavy year for the SEC and the Big Ten in
- 5:55Speaker 2: my opinion. But I think the Big Ten is not
- 5:57Speaker 2: very good either. That's why you got the Big Twelve
- 5:59Speaker 2: b in the way it is. I saw that stat
- 6:01Speaker 2: started thinking about it, Well, who would I put in?
- 6:04Speaker 2: Who would I not? You know who fits who doesn't.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Teams are still have got a lot, there's still a
- 6:10Speaker 2: lot going on. Look back, we could lose this weekend.
- 6:12Speaker 2: I'm okay you I'm betting on Auburn. Well, I'll just
- 6:15Speaker 2: go ahead and get to it. But literally, they could
- 6:18Speaker 2: lose again. And I'm not positive the Bower's coming back.
- 6:25Speaker 1: I don't know, we'll see. But yeah, to your point,
- 6:27Speaker 1: a couple of things move on because I am gonna
- 6:29Speaker 1: let it all play out. I don't think the Big
- 6:32Speaker 1: Twelve will get more than one team in Utah. Like
- 6:35Speaker 1: you said, they have two losses to Texas Tech and
- 6:38Speaker 1: to BYU, and so I don't understand what their argument's
- 6:41Speaker 1: all about. They are playing better right now. But here's
- 6:44Speaker 1: the thing. The Big Twelve is run by a media genius.
- 6:49Speaker 1: I mean, Brent dor Mark. I mean he's been with
- 6:52Speaker 1: some of the biggest brands around. I mean, and if
- 6:55Speaker 1: you don't think that this guy has got a full
- 6:57Speaker 1: blown media campaign trying to cram a second at Big
- 7:00Speaker 1: twelve team into the playoffs through Twitter and through post
- 7:04Speaker 1: and everything else. I think you're wrong. I think you're
- 7:07Speaker 1: wrong because the only team that deserves to be in
- 7:10Speaker 1: is the winner of the Big twelve Conference, and that
- 7:12Speaker 1: would be Texas Tech, assuming that they hold Chalk and
- 7:15Speaker 1: went out. That's the only team that needs to get
- 7:17Speaker 1: into my opinion, when you get to the ACC, I
- 7:21Speaker 1: could make an argument if SMU wins in Miami, and
- 7:24Speaker 1: I would be okay with that. To be honest with you,
- 7:27Speaker 1: I think Notre Dame deserves to be in. So there's
- 7:29Speaker 1: four spots, and now you've got the fifth spot, the
- 7:32Speaker 1: G five. There's nobody in there that's gonna be within
- 7:35Speaker 1: a twenty one point cover of whoever they play, so
- 7:39Speaker 1: you're just kind of giving them a flower and a
- 7:41Speaker 1: ribbon to show up. And then you've got seven spots
- 7:43Speaker 1: left that you can fill with the SEC and the
- 7:45Speaker 1: Big Ten, and you can argue one or the other.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I would go Oregon, I would go Ohio State, and
- 7:53Speaker 1: I'd go Indiana, and then I would give the remaining
- 7:56Speaker 1: four slots to the SEC. I think we've got a
- 7:58Speaker 1: good tournament. That's my person.
- 8:00Speaker 2: I don't I don't disagree. I don't disgree that. I
- 8:02Speaker 2: think that's very likely. How it's I don't know how
- 8:05Speaker 2: it's gonna shake out. I do find it fascinating, though.
- 8:09Speaker 2: I saw Joey Galloway and we'll move on to games
- 8:12Speaker 2: talking about well, well, it's clear Notre Dame is a
- 8:15Speaker 2: better team now that Miami. The only time they've been
- 8:17Speaker 2: better was Week one. Yeah, but they were better, And
- 8:21Speaker 2: we try to get past this mindset that November is
- 8:26Speaker 2: more important than September. It's a twelve game schedule. If
- 8:31Speaker 2: we're only gonna count the last six, well, then okay,
- 8:34Speaker 2: then let's just say that and everybody will backload their
- 8:37Speaker 2: schedule and play everybody important later. But that's not reality.
- 8:42Speaker 2: They lost to them on the field if they finished
- 8:45Speaker 2: with the same record, and I don't think they're going
- 8:48Speaker 2: to because I think Miami's gonna lose this weekend, but
- 8:51Speaker 2: if they finished with the same you cannot put Notre
- 8:54Speaker 2: Dame in over Miami, not in my opinion. And I
- 8:57Speaker 2: think the ACC sucks. I think I don't got LAG's awful.
- 9:01Speaker 2: I mean, as it's evidence you have Clemson has a
- 9:05Speaker 2: dog this week on the road to a bad South
- 9:09Speaker 2: Carolina think bad. I understand Clemson's match. They have a
- 9:12Speaker 2: better record and they are an underdog.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Yeah. I probably will be on purple in orange of
- 9:20Speaker 1: that game because South Carolina's not very good. But anyway,
- 9:24Speaker 1: smooth onscunty. We got a whole play of games that
- 9:26Speaker 1: we got to get our way through. Here. First one
- 9:29Speaker 1: only game on Thanksgiving. Everybody gets excited for it. When
- 9:32Speaker 1: Navy travels to Memphis line here is four. Memphis is
- 9:36Speaker 1: laying it over under fifty seven and a half. Both
- 9:39Speaker 1: of these teams have eight wins. Navy still has a
- 9:42Speaker 1: shot at getting into the ACC Championship game. If I'm
- 9:46Speaker 1: playing this game anywhere, I am going dead over in
- 9:49Speaker 1: this one. Both of these teams have really electric offenses.
- 9:52Speaker 1: But both of these teams defenses are not this great.
- 9:55Speaker 1: If you haven't watched Navy playoff season, this isn't your
- 9:57Speaker 1: Granddaddy's Navy. They go fast, they throw the rock, they
- 10:01Speaker 1: put points up. I would go with the over in
- 10:04Speaker 1: this one. I do not have a play yet, but
- 10:06Speaker 1: I would lean towards the over. You do have some
- 10:09Speaker 1: wind that could kick up at the Liberty Bowl, but
- 10:12Speaker 1: I would go over. If I'm gonna play it.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Give me Memphis, baby. I like Memphis here minus four
- 10:17Speaker 2: and a half Navy. Every time it feels like every
- 10:19Speaker 2: time they played a good team, that offense just has
- 10:22Speaker 2: not been able to move. I think this defense for
- 10:25Speaker 2: Memphis is probably better than what they faced on the
- 10:29Speaker 2: road at North Texas. And while the offense not as
- 10:32Speaker 2: potent as that offense, it's also potent enough. I think
- 10:37Speaker 2: Memphis is gonna cover the I think Memphis is gonna
- 10:39Speaker 2: cover this game.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Ohio travels up to Buffalo. They're laying seven overs forty
- 10:45Speaker 1: three and a half. Do you get a Mac play here, Scotty?
- 10:48Speaker 2: I do not. My Mac plays were last night. Unfortunately
- 10:51Speaker 2: we did not record a little two and oh in
- 10:53Speaker 2: the Mac last night, but we laughed and joked and
- 10:57Speaker 2: talking about we should have put out a teaser for
- 11:00Speaker 2: that game. Didn't that teaser both them?
- 11:04Speaker 1: I think next year that's what we're gonna market as
- 11:06Speaker 1: the Mac teaser. Tuesday teasers and the Mac will be
- 11:09Speaker 1: big sellers, big sellers old Misssissippi State. Here he goes
- 11:13Speaker 1: gootti egg egg bowl. Misssippi State's getting seven in this
- 11:16Speaker 1: one over under sixty two and a half.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Uh.
- 11:19Speaker 1: I look at this game. I was kind of surprised
- 11:21Speaker 1: the number was as short as it was. I was
- 11:24Speaker 1: hoping to catch Mississippi State getting a few more. Looks
- 11:28Speaker 1: like we could have some wind out there at this
- 11:31Speaker 1: game in start Vegas Saturday or Friday morning. Odd that
- 11:34Speaker 1: they're playing this game in the morning as well. You
- 11:36Speaker 1: got a lot of distractions going on around this old
- 11:38Speaker 1: miss team.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Uh.
- 11:39Speaker 1: You got the quarterback coming out Trinidad Chambliss sing, you
- 11:42Speaker 1: know we're gonna be good. We got this. We're focused
- 11:44Speaker 1: on one goal at hand. I gotta believe that that
- 11:47Speaker 1: team knows what Lane Kiffin's gonna do. I can't believe
- 11:50Speaker 1: we haven't heard some kind of leak yet. I think
- 11:52Speaker 1: he's staying. Personally, if I were to play this game,
- 11:55Speaker 1: I would probably go it's gonna sound strange. I might
- 11:58Speaker 1: go under in this game. If I were going to
- 12:00Speaker 1: play this game sixty two and a.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Half, Well, that's a great call right there. More eight
- 12:05Speaker 2: straight in this ball game have gone under under the
- 12:09Speaker 2: total home team o nine to one against the spread.
- 12:14Speaker 2: I do like the under here. Uh, I think that's
- 12:17Speaker 2: probably the right play. I think State's gonna have all
- 12:20Speaker 2: kinds of problems with this defensive front from them. But
- 12:24Speaker 2: I also think I think Old Miss is gonna cover this.
- 12:26Speaker 2: I think they're going to cover this number.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Uh.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Following in line with both trends, I think you're safe
- 12:31Speaker 2: on both of them. Much as I would love, I
- 12:35Speaker 2: think Levy's going He put together a great game plan
- 12:38Speaker 2: against Old Miss last year with a worst team, so
- 12:41Speaker 2: do I think he's gonna throw a haymaker. I felt
- 12:44Speaker 2: like weeks since the best since the Florida loss, our
- 12:49Speaker 2: next best chance game was the Old Miss game, and
- 12:51Speaker 2: that that's my pool. Because I think Rebels are good,
- 12:55Speaker 2: I don't. I don't. This isn't a bane for them,
- 12:58Speaker 2: it's just a rivalry, and I think it's best chance.
- 13:00Speaker 2: I just don't think State's got in the bullets in
- 13:02Speaker 2: the gun. Levy's gotten them a lot better, still a
- 13:04Speaker 2: lot to be proud of for that football program. They've
- 13:07Speaker 2: been better, they should have gotten bowl levels, but weeks
- 13:09Speaker 2: ago and this game would mean a whole lot less.
- 13:12Speaker 2: I think they'll give it an a one effort, but
- 13:14Speaker 2: I think it is going to be much like two
- 13:16Speaker 2: years ago when Ole Miss came in. It was a tight,
- 13:20Speaker 2: very very tight, low scoring game, and then Old Miss
- 13:23Speaker 2: stretch it out in the fourth quarter and cover. So
- 13:26Speaker 2: I think that will I think that is exactly what
- 13:29Speaker 2: you're gonna see again Iowa Nebraska.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Iowa was laying six and a half over one hundred
- 13:35Speaker 1: heres thirty eight. I don't necessarily love betting Iowa to
- 13:38Speaker 1: cover margin, but if they're going to do it, it's
- 13:40Speaker 1: against this Nebraska team. This team is bad and they
- 13:44Speaker 1: are what. They bought a bill of goods when they
- 13:47Speaker 1: got that rules to sign another contract extension with this squad.
- 13:51Speaker 1: I mean, I know they're bowling, and that's exciting for them. Man,
- 13:54Speaker 1: I just don't think they have a shot here against
- 13:56Speaker 1: the Iowa team.
- 13:57Speaker 2: I think the funniest thing in the world is because
- 13:59Speaker 2: I'm telling you, Nebraska totally got Jimbo Fisher. They created
- 14:05Speaker 2: this narrative, whoever his agent is. The Penn State was
- 14:09Speaker 2: all over Matt Rule. Matt Rule hadn't beat anybody ranked
- 14:14Speaker 2: at Baylor or Nebraska. What the hell would they if
- 14:17Speaker 2: they fired him? Franklin the higher Rule. That was the
- 14:20Speaker 2: dumbest move ever, and I said it the day they
- 14:22Speaker 2: did it. And instead they gave this guy a gigantic
- 14:25Speaker 2: contract that they're gonna have hung around their neck for
- 14:28Speaker 2: the next four or five years, whether he's the coach
- 14:31Speaker 2: or not. I agree with you TAM's battle out deal
- 14:33Speaker 2: in Rayola. I think they're going to see some shake
- 14:37Speaker 2: ups on the coaching staff. If I was gonna ever
- 14:40Speaker 2: cover a touchdown, it's gonna be here. I like Iowa
- 14:44Speaker 2: next one.
- 14:45Speaker 1: I like his Utah traveling to Kansas. Utah still thinks
- 14:48Speaker 1: they have a shot to get in this game again
- 14:51Speaker 1: more wins. They're estimating fifteen dollars wins in this one.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Utah's late eleven and a half over under here is
- 14:57Speaker 1: fifty nine and a half. I don't think is gonna
- 15:00Speaker 1: be able to get this going. Kansas has not really
- 15:02Speaker 1: even had a good game against a good team this season.
- 15:04Speaker 1: They're four and seven against the number where Utah comes
- 15:07Speaker 1: in eight and three here, and I don't think the
- 15:10Speaker 1: rushing defense for Kansas is gonna be able to slow
- 15:12Speaker 1: down Utah. And the fact that Witningham hasn't convinced that
- 15:16Speaker 1: this Utah team still has a chance to possibly get
- 15:19Speaker 1: into the tournament. You're gonna get an effort from these guys,
- 15:22Speaker 1: and Kansas I think has already kind of packed it up.
- 15:24Speaker 1: I know they just need one more win to go bowling,
- 15:27Speaker 1: and I know they're at home, but with it being
- 15:30Speaker 1: this weekend, I just don't think you're gonna get it. Man,
- 15:33Speaker 1: I would go oots minus eleven and a half.
- 15:36Speaker 2: I got nothing on this that feels like it feels
- 15:38Speaker 2: like a big number. But you know, look, they've lost
- 15:41Speaker 2: big numbers against some teams this year that they probably
- 15:43Speaker 2: should have covered already. So but I got nothing here.
- 15:47Speaker 2: I got nothing here.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Let's head down to Atlanta, Scottie, and I'm not talking
- 15:52Speaker 1: about pulling up for freak nick. Let's get us some
- 15:54Speaker 1: Georgia Georgia Tech. Remember last year this game was a
- 15:57Speaker 1: big upset, blew everybody's mind away. Georgia Tech has been
- 16:01Speaker 1: a pretty good team this year. They're ninety two straight
- 16:03Speaker 1: up six and five against the number. Georgia comes in here,
- 16:06Speaker 1: ten and one straight up five and six against the number.
- 16:09Speaker 1: George is laying fourteen and fifty nine and a Half's
- 16:11Speaker 1: to spread this one. You got any play of this
- 16:14Speaker 1: sec ACC matchup?
- 16:16Speaker 2: Man, I'm gonna tell you I do have a little
- 16:18Speaker 2: bit of a little bit of love for Georgia Tech.
- 16:20Speaker 2: I don't think they're any good, but I think they're
- 16:23Speaker 2: gonna play with full out, reckless abandoned thirteen and a half.
- 16:29Speaker 2: It's a big number at home. What this game reminds
- 16:33Speaker 2: me of is two years ago telling about twenty three.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Last year they had that. I think it was eight
- 16:38Speaker 2: overtimes they went to last year when I was looking
- 16:40Speaker 2: at this game, and Georgia sneaks it out on one
- 16:43Speaker 2: of the two point conversions. Are but the but at
- 16:48Speaker 2: Georgia Tech a couple of years ago, thirty one, twenty three,
- 16:52Speaker 2: and I think these teams are very, very similar. They
- 16:55Speaker 2: played a grinny, hard nosed game, had a chance to
- 17:00Speaker 2: win that game. Georgia mounted a big comeback. If George
- 17:03Speaker 2: has gotten right the last the last thirty days, and
- 17:08Speaker 2: I think it started with that trip to start well
- 17:11Speaker 2: and then Texas they just went woodshed style. They are
- 17:15Speaker 2: getting right. But I think this rivalry game, George is
- 17:17Speaker 2: gonna have a little Georgia Tech's gonna have a little
- 17:19Speaker 2: something for him. I ain't that numbers a touch too big,
- 17:22Speaker 2: just a touch too big. I think George is gonna
- 17:24Speaker 2: win it, but I don't know if they're gonna win
- 17:25Speaker 2: it by two touchdowns. Not my favorite game of the week,
- 17:28Speaker 2: but I do like Tech to cover that number.
- 17:32Speaker 1: It's good to Austin Texas. Texas A and M coming
- 17:34Speaker 1: down to play these guys lines two and a half
- 17:37Speaker 1: over unders fifty one and a half. We got wins
- 17:39Speaker 1: estimated at twenty miles an hour. That typically leans to
- 17:42Speaker 1: the under in this one. Ain't M eleven and oh
- 17:45Speaker 1: five and six against the number eight and three to
- 17:47Speaker 1: the over. Texas eight and three straight up, three and
- 17:50Speaker 1: eight against the number five and six to the under.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Everybody that I have talked to wants Texas to win
- 17:57Speaker 1: here and is leaning on Texas to win here. If
- 18:00Speaker 1: this thing hits a three, and I don't know if
- 18:02Speaker 1: the books will give it to you, I'm sure the
- 18:03Speaker 1: bard will light up with people trying to get Texas
- 18:06Speaker 1: in here. I don't have a play here in this one,
- 18:08Speaker 1: just Jet, I would lean to the under, especially in
- 18:11Speaker 1: the first half. I could see these two teams coming
- 18:13Speaker 1: out really tight. Texas does have a key loss, it'll
- 18:16Speaker 1: be out for the first half. Anthony Hill linebackers suspended
- 18:20Speaker 1: from the targeting call that they got last week in
- 18:22Speaker 1: the Arkansas game, and so I would probably lean to
- 18:25Speaker 1: a first half under. But I don't necessarily have a
- 18:27Speaker 1: player this week.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Man, you talk about gutting what a great what a
- 18:33Speaker 2: great time for the Aggies, and that they can go
- 18:36Speaker 2: lose this game and they're still going to make the playoff.
- 18:38Speaker 2: But at the end of the day, it will be
- 18:41Speaker 2: so aggie for them to go over there and lose
- 18:45Speaker 2: to what candidly is a kind of mid Texas team.
- 18:48Speaker 2: I mean, they really are. They probably should have lost
- 18:51Speaker 2: in start, well, easily could have lost forgetting a big lead.
- 18:54Speaker 2: The vanderbil got drilled at Georgia, you know, lost to Florida,
- 18:59Speaker 2: lost Ohios day. This team could easily easily be looking
- 19:05Speaker 2: at a six and five record right now, I mean
- 19:07Speaker 2: really easy. And I just don't think people I don't
- 19:12Speaker 2: think people realize it. A and m ought to go
- 19:16Speaker 2: put wood to these guys. But man, just traditionally it
- 19:20Speaker 2: has not happened. It just hadn't happened. When they are
- 19:24Speaker 2: the favorite, the Longhorns figure out how to get it done,
- 19:27Speaker 2: and it just feels like this is setting up for
- 19:31Speaker 2: exactly that. But I am I don't love this game.
- 19:37Speaker 2: I'm probably going to stay on the sidelines, But I
- 19:41Speaker 2: got a feeling Saturday morning when we look at betting
- 19:44Speaker 2: spreads and what the book needs. Thank you, Aggie's are
- 19:48Speaker 2: going to be what the books are gonna need. That's
- 19:51Speaker 2: that's really what I'm expecting Saturday morning, which is kind
- 19:54Speaker 2: of the reason I'm holding.
- 19:55Speaker 1: All Oh goodness. Indiana traveled to Purdue to play at
- 20:00Speaker 1: ross Aid Citium under the lights. You got wind apperating
- 20:04Speaker 1: twenty five miles an hour, and this one. You start
- 20:06Speaker 1: to see a pattern here. We got some weather games
- 20:09Speaker 1: this weekend, folks, so be sure to check those if
- 20:11Speaker 1: you bet in totals. I don't know if I want
- 20:13Speaker 1: to lay twenty eight and a half with Indiana, but
- 20:15Speaker 1: Purdue is Hella bad Mi could be the running back.
- 20:18Speaker 1: He's out for the season. I don't know how they're
- 20:20Speaker 1: gonna slow down this Indiana attack. I think Signetti can
- 20:23Speaker 1: kind of name the number here if he wants to. Uh,
- 20:26Speaker 1: probably won't get involved in that one. You've got anything
- 20:28Speaker 1: and any hit up Purdue at twenty eight and a half.
- 20:30Speaker 2: I don't, man, they've done such a piss pool job
- 20:32Speaker 2: covering big numbers this year when they're a lot better
- 20:35Speaker 2: that not. I don't. I really don't. That we are
- 20:39Speaker 2: talking about Mendoza winning the Heisman, though, tells you how
- 20:42Speaker 2: sad of a year this has been. I mean, we're
- 20:45Speaker 2: gonna have a dude like Peyton Manning who doesn't have
- 20:49Speaker 2: a heisman. And this isn't a criticism of Charles Woodson
- 20:52Speaker 2: because he was great that year. I think Manning should
- 20:55Speaker 2: have won it. But Woodson was awesome, and we're gonna
- 20:58Speaker 2: have Mendoza with a heisman. I mean, just it just
- 21:02Speaker 2: tells you that some years there's really anybody. They don't
- 21:06Speaker 2: really have anybody. I mean, I'll be honest, I think
- 21:09Speaker 2: Jeremiah Love deserves the heisman. I do. I think he's
- 21:11Speaker 2: the best. I think he's best player in college football.
- 21:14Speaker 1: I couldn't pick from Nanda beIN Doz out of a
- 21:16Speaker 1: lineup of one, to be honest with you, if he
- 21:18Speaker 1: wants up to be on the street anyway. Florida Florida State.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Does anybody give a shit about this game? Florida State's
- 21:24Speaker 1: getting one and a half in Gamesville?
- 21:27Speaker 2: God, this is this is a game? Oh? I mean,
- 21:31Speaker 2: who doesn't care about this game? Normally? And nobody cares
- 21:35Speaker 2: about this game? I don't know what you're gonna get.
- 21:38Speaker 2: I mean for Florida State fans, I mean they're stuck
- 21:41Speaker 2: with Norville. You know, he has that great year people
- 21:44Speaker 2: are talking about hiring him. That was when BAMA was
- 21:47Speaker 2: open and they overpay him. And now he's you know,
- 21:51Speaker 2: a donut around their neck. I mean, it is just
- 21:55Speaker 2: wild to me. And then you got obviously coaching fiasco
- 21:59Speaker 2: going on, and so I don't know what you're gonna get.
- 22:02Speaker 2: I would think Florida State's gonna cover this ball game,
- 22:05Speaker 2: but who knows.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Texas Tech travel up to West Virginia Lions twenty three
- 22:11Speaker 1: and a half overs fifty three and a half. West
- 22:14Speaker 1: Virginia's stood up a couple of times and thought they're
- 22:17Speaker 1: seven and four against the number, techs nine and two
- 22:19Speaker 1: against the number. I would lean with Rich right here
- 22:22Speaker 1: getting the points. The big reason being is Tech just
- 22:26Speaker 1: kind of needs to win. They are also coming off
- 22:29Speaker 1: of a bye. The only reason I haven't gotten involved
- 22:32Speaker 1: with this thing yet in taking West Virginia is because
- 22:34Speaker 1: Tech just kind of seems to be on a mission
- 22:37Speaker 1: here and I think they're going to come into this
- 22:39Speaker 1: game raid to roll. So had gotten involved yet, but
- 22:41Speaker 1: I lean West Virginia plus twenty three and a.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Half absolutely lean them. Look they've done their best work
- 22:52Speaker 2: against better teams. I mean, look, I lost with them
- 22:55Speaker 2: going to BYU early in the year on a smaller
- 22:59Speaker 2: number than this, I thought Pittsburgh would absolutely put wood
- 23:04Speaker 2: to these guys. Boom, they win the game, straight up.
- 23:07Speaker 2: They've done their best work against better teams. Rich Rod,
- 23:12Speaker 2: you know, is circling the wagons for this. How much
- 23:16Speaker 2: would he loves to get an upset in a game
- 23:20Speaker 2: like this? And I just you know, at the end
- 23:23Speaker 2: of the day, I just think it is. I think
- 23:26Speaker 2: it is a really really good opportunity for them. And
- 23:31Speaker 2: while this hasn't been a good team, they have done
- 23:34Speaker 2: their best work against some of the better teams they've played.
- 23:36Speaker 2: I think it sets up big. I just think this
- 23:38Speaker 2: numbers too big. Candidly ex steate quarterback's been kind of
- 23:42Speaker 2: man on the road when he played. I mean, look,
- 23:45Speaker 2: they won that game at Utah early in the year
- 23:50Speaker 2: kind of in spite of his play. He did not
- 23:51Speaker 2: play very well and that was an all a defensive
- 23:56Speaker 2: ball game for them. We're interested to see how he
- 23:59Speaker 2: does on the road at West Virginia. I I like
- 24:03Speaker 2: West Virginia, like the Mountaineers here, I like it. Let's
- 24:06Speaker 2: get bored.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Uh. Speaking of Pittsburgh's County. Let's get down a bit.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Miami's traveling up to Pitt. Ironically, it's gonna be a
- 24:13Speaker 1: little bit warmer up there. They're predicting in the fifties,
- 24:15Speaker 1: wins in the thirteen miles an hour. Pitt's getting seven
- 24:18Speaker 1: and a half. My man, Nard Dog, what a weirdo,
- 24:21Speaker 1: comes out and says we could lose by one hundred
- 24:24Speaker 1: to Notre Dame. Almost does, and then comes back last
- 24:27Speaker 1: week and gets the wind. You've got Miami's traveling up
- 24:30Speaker 1: to Pitt. If I'm fetting this game, giv me mustard
- 24:34Speaker 1: in blue and my seven points, and I'll sit there
- 24:37Speaker 1: fat and happy and cheer for the Pitt Panthers and yourself.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Boy, I was really hoping this game was gonna be
- 24:42Speaker 2: about forty five degrees. Miami's record when the temp's under
- 24:46Speaker 2: forty six is a business. I mean, they just simply
- 24:49Speaker 2: don't win. So I was hoping to man, we're gonna
- 24:51Speaker 2: get some cold weather. Unfortunately, not that cold. Would like
- 24:56Speaker 2: for it to be a little cooler, but I still
- 24:57Speaker 2: think this may be too many points for Miami. But
- 25:02Speaker 2: at the end of the day, I just can't figure
- 25:06Speaker 2: this team out. I can't figure it out, and you know,
- 25:10Speaker 2: and there's still the team that lost to a bad
- 25:12Speaker 2: West Virginia team. I mean, that really is the truth.
- 25:15Speaker 2: And I still can't figure it out. But it does
- 25:19Speaker 2: feel like seven points is a touch too much. So
- 25:22Speaker 2: give me the Panthers plus seven.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Here we go. Penn State travel with this Gautaway laying
- 25:28Speaker 1: thirteen and a half against a Rutgers team. Rutgers needs
- 25:32Speaker 1: this win to go bowling. I have a hard time
- 25:34Speaker 1: believe in Penn State's worried about going bowling. Scottie, you
- 25:38Speaker 1: involved in this one.
- 25:39Speaker 2: I'm gonna get involved in this one. I am not
- 25:41Speaker 2: yet because I'm hoping that Rutgers is gonna climb a
- 25:44Speaker 2: little bit. I'm hoping I may get a fourteen out
- 25:46Speaker 2: of this. But I do think this is I think
- 25:50Speaker 2: there's just too many points. I think this is not
- 25:52Speaker 2: an explosive Penn State team. I think they're gonna have
- 25:56Speaker 2: trouble stretching this number out. I really do now why
- 25:59Speaker 2: they're very good on deep fence. Uh Traditionally, this year
- 26:02Speaker 2: that ain't the case. I Mean, every Penn State person
- 26:06Speaker 2: I know is like, how the hell are we firing
- 26:08Speaker 2: our coach and not our defensive coordinator, and I always
- 26:11Speaker 2: tell them this is the same thing happened to Knowles
- 26:12Speaker 2: the first year he went to Penn State. I mean
- 26:14Speaker 2: the first time. First year he went to Ohio State,
- 26:16Speaker 2: they really struggled on defense, and then we're markedly better
- 26:21Speaker 2: year two. He's not going to get year or two here.
- 26:25Speaker 2: But this team's not very good on defense. I think
- 26:27Speaker 2: this just sets up for Ruggers to cover. But man,
- 26:31Speaker 2: I think they may be a live dog.
- 26:34Speaker 1: That's a big dog.
- 26:35Speaker 2: It's a big dog. But I think Rutgers got a
- 26:37Speaker 2: chance to win this ball game. So they're at home
- 26:41Speaker 2: catching thirteen and a half. Want to get you some cheese,
- 26:44Speaker 2: get a little Rugger's money line doesn't take much to
- 26:47Speaker 2: get paid on this deal. So I like, yes, I do.
- 26:50Speaker 2: I like Ruggers year.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Get you some Athan caliac Manus, and just get excited
- 26:55Speaker 1: about rooting for some college football.
- 26:57Speaker 2: In the yard.
- 27:00Speaker 1: Re rifle game, I skip James Madison Coastal Carolina. I'm
- 27:03Speaker 1: just gonna touch on this for a second. Coastal Carolina's
- 27:06Speaker 1: quarterback is out. He's kind of a spark that really
- 27:09Speaker 1: took off for them a couple of weeks ago. I
- 27:11Speaker 1: don't see them being able to do much with him out.
- 27:13Speaker 1: James Madison last week had to kind of win a
- 27:16Speaker 1: clunker against Washington State when they traveled out there. But again,
- 27:20Speaker 1: JMU is still in the beauty contest of the group
- 27:22Speaker 1: of five on track to play for the Sun Belt Championship.
- 27:26Speaker 1: I think they covered this game at twenty one and
- 27:29Speaker 1: a half. But my favorite bet is the team total
- 27:32Speaker 1: under from Coastal Carolina. I haven't looked at what the
- 27:34Speaker 1: numbers yet, but I would say anything under about a
- 27:38Speaker 1: twenty one. I think he's probably a pretty safe bet
- 27:41Speaker 1: because I just don't think they're gonna be able to
- 27:43Speaker 1: move the ball in this James Madison defense. It's only
- 27:45Speaker 1: giving up sixteen points a game, and I just I
- 27:48Speaker 1: think Jam you'll be a wagon in this one. And
- 27:49Speaker 1: so I'll go Coastal Carolina team total under.
- 27:53Speaker 2: Uh, Well, he just pulled out a team total under.
- 27:56Speaker 1: Yeah you like that. I'm me just some digging here.
- 28:01Speaker 1: Ohio State and Michigan line. Here's ten over unders forty
- 28:04Speaker 1: three and a half. Michigan still has a chance to
- 28:07Speaker 1: play for the Big Ten Championship. I think it's being
- 28:10Speaker 1: completely overlooked. You've hurt rumors that the two wide receivers
- 28:14Speaker 1: from Ohio State could be out again this week. I
- 28:18Speaker 1: would be surprised if they are. Uh, but I like
- 28:21Speaker 1: this game a lot. I'm gonna let you tell me
- 28:22Speaker 1: how we're gonna play.
- 28:23Speaker 2: It, though, man, I will tell you I'm kind of
- 28:27Speaker 2: I'm kind of liking the under right here. I do
- 28:33Speaker 2: think Michigan is gonna throw hay at it. But last
- 28:36Speaker 2: year after a high scoring game, the under had for
- 28:39Speaker 2: ten straight games until last year. So basically we're looking
- 28:43Speaker 2: at one and ten to the under the last the
- 28:47Speaker 2: last eleven years. In this game, this feels like, look,
- 28:51Speaker 2: Sayans has had a tremendous year, but they have by
- 28:55Speaker 2: no means taken the reins off of that kid. They've
- 28:59Speaker 2: got great wide receivers, but it's a lot of short throws,
- 29:02Speaker 2: it's a lot of controlled passing. If they do that,
- 29:06Speaker 2: this Michigan defense is gonna be able to keep these
- 29:08Speaker 2: guys in front of them. And let's just not discount
- 29:11Speaker 2: Ryan Day's ability to fumble this game, because he is
- 29:15Speaker 2: flat ass fumbled it four times. I mean, they've been
- 29:18Speaker 2: the better team every year, but once that's the bottom line.
- 29:22Speaker 2: Last year they were markedly better and found a way
- 29:26Speaker 2: to lose this game. The difference is, I don't think
- 29:29Speaker 2: this I don't think this Michigan offense is going to
- 29:31Speaker 2: be able to score enough to make this an over game.
- 29:35Speaker 2: I think at the end of the day, I just
- 29:38Speaker 2: don't think Underwood's ready for what he's gonna face. I
- 29:41Speaker 2: think it's going to be low scoring. Think Ohio State's
- 29:43Speaker 2: gonna get a lead and they're gonna do what they've
- 29:46Speaker 2: done all year long, get heavy handed with people and
- 29:50Speaker 2: just wear you down. He doesn't care if he wins
- 29:53Speaker 2: by ten. He doesn't care if he wins by one.
- 29:57Speaker 2: Ryan Day needs to win. That's it to do.
- 30:02Speaker 1: LSU traveling to Norman play Oklahoma in this one, Oklahoma.
- 30:07Speaker 1: You want to talk about somebody that definitely needs to
- 30:09Speaker 1: be in the Coach of the Year conversations, I would
- 30:11Speaker 1: say Britt Vinnibles needs to be there. If they finished
- 30:14Speaker 1: the season ten and two, with the schedule that they had,
- 30:17Speaker 1: with the injury to the quarterback, that they had to
- 30:19Speaker 1: figure it out their way around and lean on the
- 30:21Speaker 1: defense the way that they did, You've got to realize
- 30:24Speaker 1: how good of a job these guys did. This was
- 30:26Speaker 1: a very difficult schedule that they had managed to navigate
- 30:29Speaker 1: themselves through LSU with just nothing left. They had parents weekend.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Last weekend, they had to hang on to beat Western Kentucky.
- 30:37Speaker 1: You had that weird sequence of events. I didn't know
- 30:40Speaker 1: Brian Kelly's kid was even on the team to.
- 30:42Speaker 2: Be about how Patty was that not letting but not
- 30:45Speaker 2: letting him come to say, I don't.
- 30:49Speaker 1: Know if that was the case. Yeah, who knows.
- 30:51Speaker 2: I think any of us. I think they absolutely because
- 30:54Speaker 2: the lawsuit did not want him on campus or whatever.
- 30:58Speaker 2: But then you see these people talk about all his
- 31:00Speaker 2: kids a bigger douchebag than he is. It was just,
- 31:03Speaker 2: I mean, the hatred going on down there with those
- 31:06Speaker 2: guys is just at on a whole new level.
- 31:11Speaker 1: Anyway, LSU seven and four, Oklahoma ninety two. OU's laying
- 31:16Speaker 1: ten points, OU laying ten against anybody is hard for
- 31:20Speaker 1: me to get there. Last week, in that game against Missouri,
- 31:24Speaker 1: they don't break off that eighty yard touchdown pass and
- 31:26Speaker 1: I would be betting Missouri again every single day. I mean,
- 31:30Speaker 1: they just offensively are challenged, and I don't think Materi
- 31:33Speaker 1: is still that healthy. They just don't have a whole
- 31:36Speaker 1: lot of explosive plays. To get the ball down field.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Their defense, they know they can lean on them. So
- 31:41Speaker 1: if I were going to play this game, and I'm
- 31:42Speaker 1: probably going to give me the under at thirty seven,
- 31:45Speaker 1: that's where my book has it currently, and I probably
- 31:47Speaker 1: will lay half the unit on Oklahoma minus ten. Van
- 31:51Speaker 1: Buren and LSU's offense have not gibed whatsoever. They finally
- 31:55Speaker 1: got Frank Martin his one win. I do not think
- 31:58Speaker 1: they go on the road and get a second win.
- 32:01Speaker 1: It's gonna be cold, it's gonna be windy, it's gonna
- 32:05Speaker 1: be very Oklahoma just covering this line, but I could
- 32:08Speaker 1: easily see this game being twenty four to seven. They cover,
- 32:13Speaker 1: they get the under, we move on, and OU starts
- 32:16Speaker 1: practicing for the playoffs.
- 32:17Speaker 2: Thoughts, yep, I agree with all of that. I look
- 32:20Speaker 2: every time we talked about this, because you remember a
- 32:23Speaker 2: few years i ALFA would have crazy low numbers, I
- 32:28Speaker 2: mean thirty nine, thirty seven, and they were hitting, and
- 32:32Speaker 2: you're just like, look, at the end of the day,
- 32:33Speaker 2: this Oklahoma defense is good. I mean it's really really good.
- 32:37Speaker 2: They had no business winning that game in Tuscaloosa. That
- 32:40Speaker 2: was all defensive driven, and that's just a well done
- 32:44Speaker 2: job by their defense. They're not facing Ty Simpson. That's
- 32:50Speaker 2: the bottom line. Van Buren. Look, if he was remotely
- 32:55Speaker 2: last year of Mississippi State and the Egg Bowl, they
- 32:57Speaker 2: win that game. I mean they had guy open one
- 33:00Speaker 2: after open and East didn't complete the passes, and when
- 33:02Speaker 2: he did, he threw it over the wrong shoulder and
- 33:05Speaker 2: it allowed somebody to catch, somebody to catch up with
- 33:08Speaker 2: them and prevented long touchdown strikes, which is what Levy's
- 33:11Speaker 2: offense needs. The bottom line, I think he is going
- 33:14Speaker 2: to struggle mightily in this game. I think Lashu's mailed
- 33:17Speaker 2: it in. I think that really is the case. They're
- 33:20Speaker 2: the only team not really playing a rivalry. Now. Look,
- 33:23Speaker 2: I love that the SEC is creating this rivalry. I
- 33:27Speaker 2: really do because I think at the end of the year,
- 33:30Speaker 2: when they're traditionally who they are as as programmed, this
- 33:35Speaker 2: is going to be a fabulous game to watch at
- 33:37Speaker 2: the end of the year every year. So I like
- 33:39Speaker 2: that the SEC is creating this, But right now it's not.
- 33:42Speaker 2: It's not a rivalry, and with coaching change and just
- 33:45Speaker 2: everything that's going on, I just think it's math sets
- 33:48Speaker 2: up for the home team. You got, you got LSU.
- 33:51Speaker 2: Everybody on that team's hoping Lane Kiffin's coming, and so
- 33:54Speaker 2: they're they're they're ready to move on. I mean they're
- 33:56Speaker 2: they're done and they're ready to get this season over.
- 33:59Speaker 2: And I think that's the thing too. Yes, I like
- 34:01Speaker 2: Oklahoma both ways. Just where you talked about.
- 34:03Speaker 1: It, Iron Bowl Baby Saturday night. If there's anything weird,
- 34:09Speaker 1: it's gonna happen here. Had dinner with my wife the
- 34:11Speaker 1: other night and I went through at least four different
- 34:13Speaker 1: Iron Bowl endings. Then I said, you just don't ever
- 34:16Speaker 1: know what's gonna happen in this game. It's super strange.
- 34:19Speaker 1: And I go in, rarely are both teams actually good
- 34:21Speaker 1: at the same time, and I go, that's what makes
- 34:24Speaker 1: it even weirder. But anyway, Alabama Land six has to
- 34:27Speaker 1: travel to Jordan Hair. They're nine to two and five
- 34:29Speaker 1: and six. Now, you got to realize, if Alabama loses
- 34:32Speaker 1: this game, they're most likely out of the playoffs. And
- 34:35Speaker 1: that probably is Caitlin de Boor. I would assume, I
- 34:38Speaker 1: don't know because he's fired, but if he gets an offer,
- 34:40Speaker 1: he might leave. You've got Auburn who only has one voice.
- 34:44Speaker 1: Now that they could just have one offensive coordinator. I
- 34:46Speaker 1: thought that was the strangest comment to make, But they
- 34:49Speaker 1: come in here. Auburn's getting six. I would love to
- 34:52Speaker 1: see Auburn getting seven. Do you think Auburn can muddy
- 34:55Speaker 1: the waters and stay within the number with the spamit team?
- 34:58Speaker 2: My book's got it six and a half. I do.
- 35:00Speaker 2: I think this is going to be a super, super
- 35:03Speaker 2: good game. That Bama defense can be had. Man. At
- 35:08Speaker 2: the end of the they're just okay, they're not the
- 35:13Speaker 2: Bama defensive all but they're super talented. But then you
- 35:16Speaker 2: look up and they're the lowest scoring defense in the
- 35:20Speaker 2: Southeastern contes. But that defense isn't dominant, so I mean
- 35:24Speaker 2: it is. I think this game sets up to be
- 35:27Speaker 2: a really, really low scoring game. I think Simpson at
- 35:31Speaker 2: quarterback does get it done. I think that's the difference
- 35:34Speaker 2: in this game. I think they win, but I think
- 35:37Speaker 2: Auburn is going to give them all they want. DJ
- 35:41Speaker 2: Dirk and A was a pretty good coach at Maryland.
- 35:44Speaker 2: We all know why he got fired. He's an excellent
- 35:47Speaker 2: defensive coordinator and has been all over this league. I
- 35:51Speaker 2: think you're going to see an effort, I mean, hardcore,
- 35:55Speaker 2: very much like you saw at Vanderbilt. This game lays
- 36:00Speaker 2: it all out there. But at the end of the day,
- 36:04Speaker 2: this is a lack of confidence in Alabama. That is
- 36:08Speaker 2: really what I think here. This team just isn't quite
- 36:11Speaker 2: good enough to get it done. And what I mean
- 36:14Speaker 2: by get it done, they're gonna get in the playoff
- 36:17Speaker 2: and I don't think they're going anywhere. I think that's
- 36:19Speaker 2: the truth. I think there's better teams, and I think
- 36:23Speaker 2: that minus that Georgia Wynn, you know, because they did
- 36:28Speaker 2: play really well there they have done. I mean, I
- 36:32Speaker 2: still can't get past that Florida State lack of effort
- 36:35Speaker 2: on that defense. I mean, just how bad it was
- 36:37Speaker 2: going on the road to Auburn. This is a gigantic game,
- 36:42Speaker 2: and I think you're gonna get everything. Auburn's got.
- 36:47Speaker 1: Auburn plus six, baby, put it the books. Let's see
- 36:49Speaker 1: if we can hold out and gets a seven. Scott
- 36:52Speaker 1: im a thie for another sweet loop. I bet you
- 36:54Speaker 1: didn't see, Kevin. Let me get down to this game.
- 36:56Speaker 1: Let's get to Arkansas, and let's get to Missouri. Missouri's
- 36:59Speaker 1: laying two and a half in this one. This line
- 37:02Speaker 1: is wrong, I mean dead wrong. It's way off. Arkansas
- 37:07Speaker 1: has punched above their weight in a lot of games,
- 37:09Speaker 1: but they're still just four and seven against the number.
- 37:12Speaker 1: Last week in that Texas game, I think they just
- 37:14Speaker 1: kind of gave up at the end when they couldn't
- 37:16Speaker 1: get stops and Texas pulled out margin on them. I
- 37:19Speaker 1: think Missouri is going to fucking run rough shot through
- 37:23Speaker 1: these guys. Prabula's back, He's gonna be improved. Their defense
- 37:28Speaker 1: is a lot better than what Arkansas's faced or what
- 37:32Speaker 1: you used to be facing here. I think Missouri is
- 37:34Speaker 1: gonna kill these guys. I'm also gonna go team total over.
- 37:37Speaker 1: I talked to somebody this week and they were telling
- 37:39Speaker 1: me that Drinking Wits and Gusmell's on their buddies from
- 37:41Speaker 1: way back like high school times, and Drink doesn't like
- 37:45Speaker 1: how Arkansas treated guest Buss and if he gets a
- 37:47Speaker 1: chance to do it, he'll lay one on him. Give
- 37:50Speaker 1: me Miszoo minus two and a half. Give me the
- 37:52Speaker 1: Zoo team total over thirty and a half. I don't
- 37:55Speaker 1: think Arkansas has any interest in this game whatsoever. I
- 37:57Speaker 1: think Petrino is looking for a new job because he
- 38:00Speaker 1: didn't get this one. I think everybody's out the door
- 38:03Speaker 1: on Monday. Gimme Missou this this game is on Saturday.
- 38:08Speaker 2: Correct. Yeah. The Saturday forecast in Columbia Missouri thirty eight
- 38:16Speaker 2: for the high, twenty two for the low, rain and
- 38:19Speaker 2: snow in the morning, turning the rain in the afternoon,
- 38:21Speaker 2: high thirty eight when south ten to twenty miles an hour.
- 38:27Speaker 2: At the end of the day, I think this is
- 38:30Speaker 2: gonna be a slug fest, and Arkansas just doesn't and
- 38:35Speaker 2: isn't a good enough team to last in a Slugfest's
- 38:41Speaker 2: that is bruly the bottom line. I think Missouri is
- 38:44Speaker 2: gonna cover here. I liked them in the cover. But
- 38:47Speaker 2: I also think while this Arkansas defense has just been bad, bad, bad,
- 38:53Speaker 2: I agree with you. I think Missoo's gonna get rough
- 38:55Speaker 2: shot on them. Love the running backs at Missouri. I
- 38:59Speaker 2: think they're able to get it done here. I think
- 39:01Speaker 2: this defense is better than people realize at Missouri. And
- 39:06Speaker 2: I think they are gonna get on this Arkansas offense
- 39:10Speaker 2: and they're gonna bottle up tailoring green because at the
- 39:12Speaker 2: end of the day, green's all they got. And make
- 39:14Speaker 2: no mistake, I think this kid is a really, really
- 39:17Speaker 2: good football player. If he gets in the NFL and
- 39:20Speaker 2: gets in the right system, he could be tremendous. I
- 39:24Speaker 2: mean a tremendous player, because he's got a live arm.
- 39:26Speaker 2: He needs a coach who's gonna get him more accurate,
- 39:29Speaker 2: and obviously he needs to do some things from a
- 39:31Speaker 2: decision making standpoint. But the kid is such a phenomenal
- 39:35Speaker 2: athlete and he's so big that this kid could turn
- 39:38Speaker 2: into a legitimate NFL quarterback given he gets in the
- 39:42Speaker 2: right situation. But that's every quarterback they got to get
- 39:44Speaker 2: in the right situation.
- 39:47Speaker 1: Last game I've gotten interested in. Let's go to Husky Stadium.
- 39:49Speaker 1: Oregon travels up here to play Washington lines About seven
- 39:54Speaker 1: fifty one and a half is the total. Oregon's ten
- 39:57Speaker 1: and one straight up seven and four against the number,
- 40:00Speaker 1: Washington's eight and three straight up six and five against
- 40:02Speaker 1: the number. So Washington team, I've really both of these
- 40:05Speaker 1: teams for that matter, I really have a hard time
- 40:08Speaker 1: pinning down this season. I couldn't pick an Oregon to
- 40:10Speaker 1: stretch by margin at certain games at the right time.
- 40:13Speaker 1: Other times I've backed Washington and then they just get
- 40:16Speaker 1: out classed, like in the Ohio State game. But this
- 40:19Speaker 1: these teams hate each other and this is a damn
- 40:23Speaker 1: good rivalry that most people don't know a whole lot about.
- 40:26Speaker 1: Unless you're from that part of the country, you're gonna
- 40:29Speaker 1: get everything you do has here. I think Udub's a
- 40:32Speaker 1: live dog. I think they could sneak up and ruin
- 40:35Speaker 1: Oregon's season. But give me Washington plus seven. I like,
- 40:40Speaker 1: I like the dogs in this one.
- 40:42Speaker 2: Give me I'll give you you like you like Washington
- 40:50Speaker 2: getting it done. You know it's on the opposite end
- 40:53Speaker 2: of you a little bit here. I think I think
- 40:56Speaker 2: Washington just is they just have not They've not achieved.
- 41:00Speaker 2: I think, candidly, Hank Fish is looking at the Florida jib.
- 41:03Speaker 2: I think he's their option if they don't land the
- 41:08Speaker 2: Kiffin sweepstakes, which I don't think they are. You know, candidly,
- 41:12Speaker 2: i'd probably had Gruden, But that's a whole nother story.
- 41:16Speaker 2: But I think I like Oregon here, even though it
- 41:19Speaker 2: is big games back to back and they're going on
- 41:21Speaker 2: the road here. Uh, but I don't love I don't
- 41:23Speaker 2: love this game. We'll give you a game that I
- 41:26Speaker 2: do love. Northwestern and Illinois under forty five and a half. Baby,
- 41:33Speaker 2: the weather's gonna be nasty and champagne snow win thirty two.
- 41:39Speaker 2: This Northwestern team is better than everybody thinks. They've already
- 41:43Speaker 2: got six wins going for seven. This Illinois team's not
- 41:46Speaker 2: as good as they were last year. H only won
- 41:50Speaker 2: seven games after winning what they went nine last year?
- 41:52Speaker 2: Nine or ten? I guess ten. After the bowl game,
- 41:55Speaker 2: they were Ah, they were a better football they were
- 41:57Speaker 2: a better football team last year. I think this turns
- 42:01Speaker 2: into a slugfest. And I like under forty five and
- 42:06Speaker 2: a half in that ball game on Saturday.
- 42:09Speaker 1: Yeah, wind Saturday in Champagne is estimated to be over
- 42:13Speaker 1: sixteen mile an hour with guests up to thirty three.
- 42:17Speaker 2: Yeah, we got a little snow mixed in thirty two.
- 42:19Speaker 2: I like it's that feels like Big ten football, old school.
- 42:24Speaker 2: We were just playing on grass and it was muddy
- 42:27Speaker 2: as hell. It'd be awesome. It'd be like nineteen eighties.
- 42:30Speaker 1: Oh goodness, you got anything else this week? That's about
- 42:33Speaker 1: all I got.
- 42:34Speaker 2: Yeah, that's about all I've got. We've covered. I mean,
- 42:36Speaker 2: we covered so many games. I think one thing we
- 42:38Speaker 2: did I missed that. I'm I'm already on North Texas
- 42:41Speaker 2: minus twenty and a half. I did love with Moore
- 42:43Speaker 2: before Morrison before Morris took the job, but since he's
- 42:46Speaker 2: gonna finish coaching out, I don't think that's a I
- 42:49Speaker 2: don't think it affects very much because candidly, anybody who
- 42:52Speaker 2: wants off that team's going with him. So so I
- 42:56Speaker 2: think those kids aren't gonna be upset and not play
- 42:59Speaker 2: for them. I think they put would to Temple, even
- 43:03Speaker 2: though they're not gonna be able to throw the ball
- 43:05Speaker 2: quite as well as they have. Again, it's gonna be
- 43:07Speaker 2: cold here too. You got a storm system coming into Dallas.
- 43:11Speaker 2: But I still think they cover this number against Temple.
- 43:15Speaker 1: Yeah, it's interesting now with the coaches, and we don't
- 43:18Speaker 1: we talk about this next week when you have less games.
- 43:20Speaker 1: But I don't think that these days, the coaches and
- 43:23Speaker 1: the relationship they have with these players is a lot
- 43:26Speaker 1: different than it was five to ten years ago. And
- 43:28Speaker 1: when these coaches take jobs and leave, I think it's
- 43:31Speaker 1: kind of one of those look, guys, it's a better opportunity,
- 43:33Speaker 1: you know what, I know it, and we're all gonna
- 43:35Speaker 1: be meant about it. We're gonna go and you may
- 43:38Speaker 1: be coming with me, or if you want to go
- 43:39Speaker 1: somewhere else, you go somewhere else, and so I don't
- 43:42Speaker 1: know if it's I think it's the fan base that
- 43:44Speaker 1: gets their feelings hurt obviously more than anything else, because
- 43:47Speaker 1: they feel like they should be loyal to them forever
- 43:49Speaker 1: until they fire the coach. But I don't know that that.
- 43:52Speaker 1: I don't know that the dynamics of the team is
- 43:54Speaker 1: it's like that anymore. I think it's a lot more.
- 43:57Speaker 1: All Right, we got one year, let's go have the
- 43:59Speaker 1: best year we can possibly have, and let's hope it
- 44:01Speaker 1: goes well for everybody. And I think you're starting to
- 44:03Speaker 1: see that mature in these rosters with these coaches. So
- 44:07Speaker 1: I would you, I think where Texas is going to
- 44:09Speaker 1: rout these guys, and so I wouldn't be scared to
- 44:11Speaker 1: lay the number.
- 44:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I think I think you're very right. I think
- 44:13Speaker 2: it's very transactional. Now, you know. I think, you know,
- 44:18Speaker 2: I think regardless of what Kippen does, I think I
- 44:22Speaker 2: think those Ole Miss because if he's staying, he can
- 44:27Speaker 2: get whatever money he wants out of All Miss, He's
- 44:29Speaker 2: gonna get the max they can pay. And I truly
- 44:33Speaker 2: don't think he's leaving for money. I mean Ole Miss
- 44:35Speaker 2: is going to give him you know, eleven or twelve million.
- 44:38Speaker 2: You know they're gonna go up as much as they can.
- 44:40Speaker 2: I mean, hell, he's making nine now. I mean how
- 44:43Speaker 2: much money, honestly, do you really need?
- 44:46Speaker 1: Uh?
- 44:47Speaker 2: I think it's about a better job. Everything's got to
- 44:49Speaker 2: go perfect. I think those kids know that too. It's
- 44:52Speaker 2: a transactional deal. I think ole Miss is stupid if
- 44:55Speaker 2: he's leaving to not let him coach out the season,
- 44:58Speaker 2: but they want from a prior factor. But I think
- 45:01Speaker 2: that is really probably what's going on. Kippen's trying to
- 45:04Speaker 2: make sure he doesn't get blamed and that they're the
- 45:07Speaker 2: ones that don't coach it out if he's truly wanting
- 45:10Speaker 2: to leave. Again, I have no idea what he's doing.
- 45:13Speaker 2: I do know that Florida and LSU both think they
- 45:15Speaker 2: have a deal done with him, so which is fascinating
- 45:19Speaker 2: to me, which is totally the Jimmy Sexton way, because
- 45:22Speaker 2: that's exactly what Dan Mullin had with Tennessee until he
- 45:25Speaker 2: bailed and went to Florida. So you know, but I'm
- 45:29Speaker 2: telling you, don't put it past Do not put it
- 45:33Speaker 2: past Jimmy Sexton to be moving Caitlin to Border to
- 45:36Speaker 2: penn State and him to Alabama and LSU and Florida
- 45:40Speaker 2: are both searching. Don't put that past anybody whatsoever, And
- 45:46Speaker 2: I think that could easily happen. And I think Fish
- 45:48Speaker 2: ends up at Florida and LSU's the ones that are
- 45:51Speaker 2: searching and wondering what they're going to do, and Auburn's
- 45:53Speaker 2: going double somewhere. That's what I think ends up happening.
- 45:57Speaker 1: Folks, have a great Thanksgiving holiday, get a little something
- 46:00Speaker 1: to eat, enjoy some games. We'll be back next weekend
- 46:03Speaker 1: for the title championship weekend. It's going to be exciting. Everybody.
- 46:06Speaker 1: Have a good time. With that being said, we'll talk
- 46:08Speaker 1: to you next week. We love you, and we're out.
