Latest / Worldview Matters With David Fiorazo / Ricky Scaparo: Discerning The End Time Redefinition Of What Is ‘Christian’
Transcript
- 0:00The Apostle Paul warned believers about the rise of another Jesus, also false spirits, and another gospel that would infiltrate the church in the last days.
- 0:11We are seeing these on steroids today. As deception intensifies worldwide, many believers are embracing teachings, practices, and spiritual influences that often appear biblical on the surface, but lead them away from the truth of God's Word.
- 0:28Today, we'll be discussing this as well as the growing rise of syncretism within the church, Christianity mixed with mysticism, new age practices, humanism, and cultural ideologies.
- 0:40A lot to talk about. The Bible warned that doctrines of demons would also emerge, and what was once identified as deception is now celebrated as enlightenment, revelation, or even spiritual awakening.
- 0:54Today's guest, Ricky Scoparo, is here to compare and talk about these current trends with Bible prophecy and discuss how believers can remain grounded in sound doctrine, discern false spirits, and stay anchored in the truth. That's next.
- 1:11Welcome to World View Matters, discussing controversial issues, discerning current events, defending biblical Christianity. No topic, off limits. And now, here's your host, David Firazo.
- 1:31All right, friends, you know where we're going today, and the website I want you to know if you haven't been there yet. It's end time headlines dot org and time headlines dot org. You can also check out Ricky's YouTube channel, and it's end time headlines, and a lot of his other social media.
- 1:51Now, I want to bring this brother in right now. Ricky Scoparo, so good to see in. I'm just so thrilled to introduce you to the World View Matters audience, brother.
- 1:59David, it's honor to be here. I appreciate the time and the opportunity to speak to your audience. Thanks for your time. Now, we're going to get into some of the things that I teased before the intro of the show today.
- 2:11And a lot of it you put out in a video recently. What was the video called again? This is not the gospel.
- 2:19Yeah, and you know, before we got on the podcast, we were talking about the things that we have to deal with today and be discerning about that, you know, I don't think our grandparents are great grandparents would have seen coming.
- 2:31But Ricky, before we get to all these things and we'll spend some time bullet pointing these to share with our audience about your ministry and about, you know, just how you got started as being a watchman and how your ministry got going.
- 2:45Sure. I got saved in 2000. I wasn't raised in church at all. Didn't have a church background. My mother, you know, she was a week would say she was box lit at that time.
- 2:58I felt completely fell away from the Lord. And then, like I said, around 2000, I gave my heart to the Lord. And then shortly thereafter, I remember the first book I ever picked up to read was the late great planet Earth by Hal Lindsey.
- 3:13I picked that up read it probably in the whole book in 24 hours. I was so intrigued and just compelled by the information I was reading. And I kind of credit that book as the spark that sparked my interest in the eschatology and the study of in times.
- 3:30And then from there, probably around 2008 is when the introduction of Facebook came in. And I would, I created a personal page like everybody else, you know, that started, you know, coming from my space. I'm old enough to know my space. We went into Facebook created.
- 3:48I created a page, my personal page, but what I did was I was actually taking events that were taking place around the world. And I was trying to give them from a biblical eschatological view point. And it just kind of grew.
- 4:04And then right around 2010, I was about to shut down a Facebook page, but was it buys by several pastors not to do that because I could use this as a tool to evangelize. And I prayed about it. David went to bed. That next morning woke up and like it was like embedded in my spirit.
- 4:22Into midlines news and headlines from a prophetic perspective. I've never heard this. Nobody gave it to me. I believe it was by the Holy Spirit. I created a page called it into our midlines. And, you know, in today, here we are 2026. And we've got almost 900,000 followers to God be the glory. And God has just blown me away with what he's done to our ministry. And so that's where we're at today.
- 4:47Praise God. I'm glad you listened.
- 4:49Glad you're doing what you're doing. Yeah, I know you're traveling to your doing conferences and things like that. So we need all the voices that we can get that are solid on the biblical truth and sound doctrine and and times eschatology.
- 5:06They can go out there and talk about these things because the body of Christ, as you know, Barnard research, all these other research, the biblical worldviews declining sadly in the church. And so we've got to really try to wake up the remnant and the saints and what we're talking about today, hopefully will help.
- 5:25So you did your recent video on called not if this was probably by the time this air is maybe a week or two ago, this is not the gospel, the rise of another Jesus.
- 5:35There's so much to talk about from the transgender God, so to speak, to, you know, being accepting intolerance and all that affirming to progressive Christianity, to witchcraft.
- 5:47Would you like to start with progressive Christianity because that is directly that is a church issue because we're dealing with that in the church. So you want to start with that, Ricky?
- 5:57Yes, progressive Christianity is a term used. This is what it's been defined at and it definitely by definition it redefines the foundational doctrines of the gospel concerning sin, salvation and the very authority of scripture.
- 6:16And it it completely contorts it and makes it more of a social justice gospel, if you would.
- 6:24And this in my opinion, this is what the Apostle Paul was warning about and when he talked about there would if there would come one bringing another Jesus.
- 6:36The and and progressive Christianity instead of the the final authority of scripture progressive Christianity views scripture as a kind of like a pot luck, if you would, or a mixture or a collection of human experiences with God that can be reinterpreted through modern cultural values.
- 6:59So they they reinterpret biblical teachings on sexuality, they reinterpret biblical teachings on the miracles of Jesus and even the accounts of where Christ mentions judgment and things like this, you know, with the during the tribulation and whatnot.
- 7:17They completely contorted this, even though they misrepresented, they've misinterpreted the cross and all of these things and they reduced Jesus is not so much a savior of humanity, but more of a moral example and an example of the demonstration of love and injustice and social transformation.
- 7:44Well, I'm looking at the chart or the graph that Jeff put up that is from your video and just those the words love inclusion, justice, compassion, equality, peace.
- 7:56I mean, if if God, I mean, let's just say love inclusion equality, you hear that so much, but that not only waters down the the judgment of God and justice is one of the words, but I don't think we define it the same.
- 8:12So they are redefining some of these words and like you said, redefining God based on their emotions and values and not looking at the culture of the world through the biblical lens, correct?
- 8:26Correct. I mean, we could go, I'll take one example, the sin of homosexuality. Look, the Bible is clear about this. Now this group, this progressive Christianity, they will tell you that nowhere and you hear this all time is this argument.
- 8:41No, where did Jesus ever speak on homosexuality? Well, if we're going to go by technicalities, that's true. Jesus never mentioned that, but you know, the scripture said Jesus came and said, look, I came not to abolish the law, but to fulfill it.
- 8:54Jesus did not have to elaborate on these things because we know he's the same yesterday today and forever more. The Old Testament talks about this. It's condemned in Leviticus.
- 9:05Then you go on the New Testament, the Apostle Paul affirms this and Romans 11, he talks about, you know, leaving the natural affection, men with men, women with men and his letter to the Church of Corinth, he says, do you not know that the ungodly should not inherit the kingdom of heaven?
- 9:21And one of those is this sin, but they, you know, they even like to, I've had these individuals try to tell me that this was not the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah, but Ezekiel tells you there was five sins of the cities of the plains.
- 9:37One of them is called abominations. Now if you go and look that up in the Hebrew and you research it out, you will discover that sexual immorality is an umbrella term for all of these sins.
- 9:50So it was absolutely was referenced. It was mentioned. It didn't have to be elaborated on because the, you know, the culture that they understood that.
- 10:00Yes, and I'm thinking about Romans one that comes to mind where they're mentioned specifically. In fact, it mentions lesbianism and homosexuality. Sodomy.
- 10:10If you read that later, friends, some people don't realize that. And it's interesting what came first is like the women's natural relations with other women came first before. That is really interesting.
- 10:23And isn't that interesting? That's what, that's what happened like in the 60s and 70s, the feminist movement. But I think I'm getting off track here.
- 10:30So let me ask you this, Ricky. Do you think one of the foundational issues is their abandonment of inerrancy? Those who would be progressive, quote, Christians?
- 10:44Well, let's go back to Romans one. What is this saying? Paul says, having known the truth, they've what turned from the truth. And it God gives them over to a reprobate mind in the New Testament. That's a worthless mind. It's, it's, you know, that's what he's talking about here.
- 10:59So I believe this, you know, this is the, this also falls in line with what Paul said that the time would come when they will no longer endure sound doctrine.
- 11:09But according to their own lust, they will heap up for themselves teachers that will scratch their itching ears and teach them what they want to hear.
- 11:18So I think a lot of these individuals know the truth, but they're, remember, they're, they're being led by the, they're lust.
- 11:27I mean, this is even falls into what Jude talks about, the deniers of the coming to the Lord. It says knowing first this scoffers were rising the last days, walking according to their own lust. That's the big, that's the big issue right here is walking according to their own.
- 11:44What I think it was Jude or Peter, one of them said they have eyes full of adultery. And so, you know, it's just, it's the signs of the times, brother. I mean, it's, it's here.
- 11:55I mean, we're here. We're talking in June and a lot of people know where we're going with this. I mean, I mean, we've been conditioned to accept pride and even label pride month in schools and corporations in Hollywood.
- 12:11You can't get away from it. Now, I will say there's some good news that corporations are backing off a little bit more people are maybe there's less support for, for gay quote marriage.
- 12:23But this has been implemented for decades and decades in the culture, the young people this generation have been conditioned to say, hey, pride month, but what that's, that's just remove sexuality for a minute, just talk about pride. Isn't that like a major sin in the Bible?
- 12:41And we're missing that obvious glaring issue right there, aren't we?
- 12:46Well, it wasn't that the sin that got Lucifer expelled from heaven. Yep.
- 12:51And you know, this, this, this is again, you know, Jesus warned Luke 17 is it were in the days of no one lot. Social it be the return of the son of man.
- 13:00Look what's happening in Jerusalem, David. I know you probably know about this. But in the very same location, consequently, as the cities of the plains of Sodom,
- 13:09or where they were destroyed in Genesis 19 is the same very location as in this very hour that these people are trying to create the largest pride city in history right there in Israel at the red sea.
- 13:28And people are stunned by this, but when you read, if you go to, for example, Revelation chapter 11, John the revelator describes the conditions of Jerusalem in the last days as spiritual Sodom and Egypt.
- 13:41So again, if you know, you know, I go back to this over and over again, if you know the word, you should not be surprised by this.
- 13:49Amen, brother. And we're not, we're not surprised, very disappointed though.
- 13:54And the context we're talking about Ricky is the church, professing Christians, people that claim to either believe the Bible, believe God, maybe have accepted and trusted Jesus for their salvation.
- 14:08And here we have a mess and a lot of deception and the word of the year is discernment for sure.
- 14:15So we want to talk about this, but there are those labels, love, inclusion, justice, compassion, equality makes me think of the old coexist bumper sticker.
- 14:26So let's go from progressive, progressive Christianity. Let's go to syncretism now because that's blending all kinds of beliefs and beliefs and religions and things that ideas that contradict.
- 14:40So people aren't thinking this all through, are they? Let's talk about syncretism because you, you cover that in your video as well.
- 14:47Well, what is syncretism syncretism as a word it defines. Basically, it's a, because the biblical worldview is diminishing, especially among young people and even in the church.
- 14:58We're blending and we're pulling in and we're introducing all types of other religions in and we're bringing in Hinduism, we're bringing in Buddhism, we're bringing in Confucius, we're bringing in new age, we're bringing in the occult, we're bringing in all this stuff and we're just mixing this up in a batter and we're creating a Frankenstein of Christianity that is not the, you know, the, it's not the Christianity of the Bible.
- 15:24And first Timothy chapter four, Paul talks about in the latter days, the Holy Spirit expressively says that some shall depart from the faith.
- 15:33Wow. So this, something's going to pull them away from the faith and they'll give you the seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. Now, when we say the word seducing spirit, we automatically think of sexual orientation or a connotation there, but that's not necessarily trippy. Look that up in the Greek.
- 15:48The word seducing there is a, it's literally a spirit that slowly draws one from the truth into error. So by when individuals begin to give heat to or they embrace all of these other religions in their faiths and they don't see anything wrong with this.
- 16:06You're going to end up what's going to happen is it's going to slowly progressively pull you away from the truth of the gospel. And one day you're going to wake up and you're going to be in a world of trouble because you're going to be believing all kinds of stuff and you're going to be wrapped up in a memory says doctrines of devils. So that kind of gives you the idea of who's pulling the strings on this stuff.
- 16:29This came to mind as you were speaking this verse in Colossians chapter two verse eight talks about see to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception according to the tradition of men according to the elementary principles of the world rather than according to Christ.
- 16:49And it's talking about the deity of Jesus in Colossians one and two. So it's easy with these subtle messages, Ricky. I know you talk about that in a lot of your messages as well. It's easy for people to kind of fall for some of this if they're not right in line and just on the word of God and listening to the right voices, isn't it?
- 17:11Yes, it's very easy. You know the key again the key Paul said be rooted and grounded in the word of God that you're not blown by every wind of doctrine. What we need David in this hour is we need Bereans.
- 17:26You know if you're in the book of actually had a group of individuals called Bereans and what did they do when they heard the Apostles preach and teach they went home and they studied the scriptures to see if these things were so of what was coming out of their mouth.
- 17:42And look, there's nothing wrong with that. You know we've there, but the church has created this culture that if you question anything you're wrong or if you know if you bring this stuff up and you talk about this and discuss this.
- 17:54They want to gas like you, but even Johnson's test the spirits and see if they're of God and there's nothing wrong with that guys. We have to do that.
- 18:04So there's another image that I wanted to bring up from your video and ask you about this and I wanted to also ask you about UFOs and this new Steven Spielberg movie.
- 18:15But here's the image. It's talking about disclosure. It's talking about aliens. God made them to. There's one of the posters on the wall there in the back and these people all doing this research, right.
- 18:28Talk to us about this. I find this to be fascinating, but it's something that the body of Christ really needs to be discerning about in this time that we're living in.
- 18:39Well, this, this tip, this issue is really a two-edged sword to be honest with you because on one end, we need to be alert. We need to be aware we need to be informed. I, you know, I'm of the opinion that pastors and shepherds don't need to sweep this under the rug and well, we're not going to discuss that.
- 18:57We're just going to ignore it all together. Well, guys, we can't do that anymore. This has been swept up under the rug for years, but now it's in a wide open. Everybody's talking about this and unfortunately those individuals will flock to channels and programs and people that's going to teach them.
- 19:13So, you know, I believe that if they're going to pull anything off and we're talking about quote unquote aliens or beans or biologics, I believe all this falls into Genesis 6, the days of Noah, the Nephilim, the giants, the evil spirits.
- 19:30That's one hand another, you know, these crafts that you see, I believe this can be angelic activity. One event that I talked about is Josephus historian who was an eyewitness to the destruction of the temple in 70 AD in his own writings.
- 19:45He described prior to the destruction of the temple in the skies over the temple was seen in the heavens, chariots of fire. And you think about Elijah was taking up in a chariot of fire.
- 19:58Now, you think about that in his day, if people saw that, what would they describe that as? What would they describe that looking like? Because this, and I don't want to get all under that because that'll take up too much time.
- 20:08But the, so you've got that going on. We have to inform because I believe this could be part of the second Thessalonians chapter two deception that would be possible to see the very elect line signs and wonders and God himself will send a strong delusion to those who did not believe the truth.
- 20:25But on the other hand, David, what I'm seeing that I'm concerned about is the people are going overboard with the infatuation. I mean, I know, you know, when I get on YouTube or whatnot, I see some of these podcasters. That's literally all they talk about 24, seven is disclosure aliens.
- 20:45You know, and the list goes on. And I believe that can, that can bring a unhealthy infatuation with that where, you know, we people get off into that stuff. And then, you know, they're slowly getting away from the word. If that makes sense.
- 21:03Absolutely. It does. And I don't remember who it was recently, but someone was talking about someone I respect a pastor was talking about this new Steven Spielberg movie that's coming out and warned Christians not to watch it because there is subtle messages. And I would call it programming and conditioning in there.
- 21:22But you've got an article over at endtime headlines.org Steven Spielberg says new disclosure day film will cause Christians to question their beliefs. And it says legendary director Steven Spielberg has revealed that his upcoming science fiction thriller disclosure day will delve into the profound religious and theological implications of extra terrestrial disclosure.
- 21:52This is a warning friends. It's if there's enough out there. Talk to us about this Ricky.
- 21:59Well, think about this. One of the titles of Satan is the Prince of the power of the air Paul wrote to the Church of Ephesus and Ephesians chapter six. He says we don't wrestle against flesh of blood.
- 22:11But principalities powers rulers of darkness, spiritual with wickedness and heavenly places. So I say, you know, principalities work through personalities. So you got all, you know, these people in Hollywood and entertainment, you know, the conditioning, the predictive programming that they've been throwing out at us for decades and decades and decades. We knew eventually it was going to stick.
- 22:34So I think it's convenient that now we have a generation that's rising up that has a very, they don't have a, a biblical worldview. They're turning from Christianity. So they are primed, you know, they're primed to be, be led astray and deceived.
- 22:52So here's an example, Steven Spielberg to my knowledge. He's not a believer. He doesn't know the Lord. So this is, I think he's just he probably doing it unintentionally, but he's a puppet of Satan that's propagating a lie. And unfortunately, again, let's think about this. David, if you got a, if you got a group of individuals that are not grounded in the word of God, then they're going to be led astray.
- 23:20And look, I, I know personal in my own family that are Christians. They're, they're professed Christian. They love the Lord. But we had a huge discussion about this. Almost like, almost an argument. And they say, well, I'm open to aliens and extraterrestrials, because I think God is bigger than that. So again, it's those little small foxes that are spoiling about. It's, it's already starting. I mean, it's happening. Yeah. Oh, my goodness. God, God is bigger. I think, you know, there, there is a possibility. You just don't know what to do.
- 23:50Open the door. Open the door. Just a little bit. There's a verse that says, do not give Satan or the devil a foothold. The word, the word I think is topos, topography. Don't give him any ground. And we just have to give him a little crack. And he'll get in. And we can go down that road and start believing things that not only are not edifying, but are just will take us away from the truth of God's word. So is, we only have a few minutes left, Ricky, you touch on so many things in this video. That's why I really want to direct people to it.
- 24:19This is not the gospel, the rise of another Jesus will put the notes in the description of this podcast, but you talk about NAR. You talk about replacement theology. You talk about occultism and witchcraft and all these are the things, but one thing I want you to touch on.
- 24:34What Bible translations to stay away from? I know the passion translation is one. In fact, I don't even know if you'd call it a translation is more like a paraphrase, but give us some Christians that want to stay away from translations that are just not helpful. Go ahead and share your thoughts.
- 24:54Well, we'll start with the passing translation is not a translation to Bible. If Mike Wenger just came out and completely deleted the whole you. What is it that the universe? I think it's called you version. Yeah, because they will they refuse to remove the app from their.
- 25:13They refused to remove that quote unquote translation from their app. I encourage your readers to go research out was even brought about the man who was steeped into new apostolic reformation claimed he was taking to heaven and God himself gave him this translation and it's it's it's blasphemy. Honestly, I would not I told people I would take that and use it as firewood in the fall when you're having your when you're having your fire your bomb fire, whatever.
- 25:39Now I mean some of these translations I you know I personally stick to the King James the new King James every now and then I will go over to the new living translation, but even then I have to be careful with that we have jokes the NIV we call it the nearly inspired version.
- 25:56Because you know there's some things you know if you if you run a fine tooth comb to a lot of these you're going to find these things, but I I'm not a King James only kind of guy, but I I do like to you know I try to go back to the closest original translation of the Bible that you can find and I think you know if you do that you can't go wrong. That's that's kind of the answer I give when people ask me that.
- 26:21Thank you I read the new King James version at home I also read the new American standard the version that was brought to our shores was the Geneva Bible by the Puritans that if you want to go back to that, but they amplified also I checked that every now and then but friends be sure you've got a good translation I think we we don't talk about that enough because there are some that the message paraphrase the messages like I was like wow what.
- 26:49It's like where they enter the influence of something when they put that together anyway Ricky less than a minute left go ahead and share your encouragement to the body of Christ about discernment will wrap it up.
- 26:59Well I just want to encourage the body Christ to remember that when Jesus talked about the signs of the coming of the Lord the end times in the end of the age.
- 27:06The first thing he talked about in that order was be not deceived I think this is far more important than any of these other you know the wars clammy all these things are going to happen but what good is to know have the knowledge and information of all this if we're being led astray and deceived and we're not ready for the coming of the Lord.
- 27:26So I want to encourage your audience right now those are watching listening is you know let's get in the words stay in the word rooted and grounded in the faith and you know the Bible says when you do that you won't be led astray.
- 27:39Amen brother Ricky scaparo and time headlines dot or thanks brother great to spend time with you today yes anytime thank you.
- 27:49God bless you friends and as always keep speaking the truth about things that matter see you next time.
- 27:56you
