- 2:20Speaker 1: Oh my goodness. We've got, we had some wild news
- 2:23Speaker 1: this weekend. It all started as waking up Saturday morning.
- 2:26Speaker 1: I was getting up nice and early. I always get
- 2:29Speaker 1: up early. I just can't help it. I get up
- 2:30Speaker 1: nice and early and then I check, as I so
- 2:33Speaker 1: often do, I check social media and there's a video
- 2:35Speaker 1: of the president of the United States making an announcement
- 2:38Speaker 1: about what just happened in Iran. What do you mean
- 2:40Speaker 1: what just happened? What just happened in Iran? Here's the
- 2:44Speaker 1: president this weekend. Watch.
- 2:47Speaker 2: A short time ago, The United States military began major
- 2:52Speaker 2: combat operations in Iran. Our objective is to defend the
- 2:58Speaker 2: American people by eliminating imminent threats from the Iranian regime,
- 3:05Speaker 2: a vicious group of very hard, terrible people. Its menacing
- 3:12Speaker 2: activities directly endanger the United States, our troops, our bases overseas,
- 3:17Speaker 2: and our allies throughout the world. For 47 years, the
- 3:21Speaker 2: Iranian regime has chanted death to America and waged an
- 3:26Speaker 2: unending campaign of bloodshed and mass murder, targeting the United States,
- 3:32Speaker 2: our troops, and the innocent people in many, many countries.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Among the regime's very first acts was to back a
- 3:40Speaker 2: violent takeover of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, holding dozens
- 3:45Speaker 2: of American hostages for 444 days. In 1983, Iran's proxies
- 3:51Speaker 2: carried out the Marine barracks bombing in Beirut that killed
- 3:56Speaker 2: 241 American military personnel. In 2000, they knew and were
- 4:02Speaker 2: probably involved with the attack on the USS Cole. Many died.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Iranian forces killed and maimed hundreds of American service members
- 4:13Speaker 2: in Iraq. The regime's proxies have continued to launch countless
- 4:17Speaker 2: attacks against American forces stationed in the Middle East in
- 4:21Speaker 2: recent years, as well as U.S. naval and commercial vessels
- 4:25Speaker 2: in international shipping lands. It's been mass terror, and we're
- 4:31Speaker 2: not going to put up with it any longer. From
- 4:34Speaker 2: Lebanon to Yemen and Syria to Iraq, The regime has armed, trained,
- 4:39Speaker 2: and funded terrorist militias that have soaked the earth with
- 4:44Speaker 2: blood and guts.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Yeah, soaked the earth in blood and guts. You know,
- 4:51Speaker 1: this president, despite some claims to the contrary, he really
- 4:58Speaker 1: has been on Iran for a very long time. He
- 5:01Speaker 1: has spent many, many years there. talking about this. And
- 5:06Speaker 1: in fact, I want to take you to, there's a
- 5:08Speaker 1: book that he wrote. This is really important, I think,
- 5:10Speaker 1: for us to get a perspective on this. This goes
- 5:12Speaker 1: back to 2011. President Trump wrote a book called Time
- 5:15Speaker 1: to Get Tough. Time to Get Tough, Make America Great Again.
- 5:20Speaker 1: These days, the edition says it's the book that launched MAGA.
- 5:24Speaker 1: But I want you to see this. Take a look
- 5:25Speaker 1: at what President Trump said at the time. This is
- 5:27Speaker 1: what he had to say about Iran. Pardon me here.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, I'm like jumping from page to page. Yeah,
- 5:34Speaker 1: here we go.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Iran.
- 5:35Speaker 1: President Trump on Iran. He said Obama's plan to have
- 5:38Speaker 1: Russia stand up to Iran. was a horrible failure that
- 5:42Speaker 1: turned America into a laughing stock. Unfortunately, our current foreign
- 5:46Speaker 1: policy towards Iran has been just as embarrassing and disastrous.
- 5:51Speaker 1: And then he talks about how the president, how President
- 5:54Speaker 1: Obama has routinely led us astray, that he was, that
- 5:59Speaker 1: basically he was engaged in a perpetual series of appeasements
- 6:03Speaker 1: that has done nothing about a power in Iran even more.
- 6:06Speaker 1: And he said, this is an Iranian regime led by,
- 6:09Speaker 1: at the time, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, a guy who has declared
- 6:12Speaker 1: Iran's desire to see one of our greatest allies, Israel,
- 6:14Speaker 1: wiped off the map. But did Obama stand up for
- 6:17Speaker 1: the voices of freedom and against the anti-Israel forces? Not
- 6:21Speaker 1: a chance. Had Obama stepped out to help the protesters early,
- 6:24Speaker 1: the regime could have easily been overthrown and we would
- 6:27Speaker 1: not have our biggest problem today. This was back in
- 6:31Speaker 1: 2011 when President Trump says it was our biggest problem.
- 6:35Speaker 1: When it comes to defending human rights in the Islamic world,
- 6:37Speaker 1: Obama shies away because he thinks America should be apologizing
- 6:41Speaker 1: to Muslim countries rather than speaking out. It's a disgrace.
- 6:45Speaker 1: He says the greatest outrage, however, has been Obama's unwillingness
- 6:48Speaker 1: to stand strong in the face of Ahmadinejad's nuclear weapon ambitions.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Iran is the most sanctioned member of the United Nations.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Since 2006, Iran has been the focus of five Security
- 7:01Speaker 1: Council resolutions, all demanding that it stop its uranium enrichment.
- 7:07Speaker 1: And he said Obama was childish. Obama wanted to create
- 7:09Speaker 1: a telephone hotline between America and Iran, the president writes.
- 7:13Speaker 1: I kid you not, Obama's solution to thwarting a nuclear
- 7:16Speaker 1: Iran is to set up a little telephone line that
- 7:19Speaker 1: our military can use to talk nicely with the Iranian
- 7:22Speaker 1: terrorist regime that threatens to destroy America. He said it
- 7:26Speaker 1: was pathetic. He said it was ridiculous. It was ridiculous.
- 7:31Speaker 1: And then he goes on to say that our primary
- 7:34Speaker 1: goal with Iran must be to destroy its nuclear ambitions,
- 7:39Speaker 1: must be to destroy its nuclear ambitions. Let me put
- 7:43Speaker 1: this as plainly as I know, the president wrote at
- 7:46Speaker 1: the time. Iran's nuclear program must be stopped. He says,
- 7:52Speaker 1: by any and all means necessary, period. We cannot allow
- 7:56Speaker 1: this radical regime to acquire a nuclear weapon that they
- 7:59Speaker 1: will either use or hand off to terrorists. Better now
- 8:03Speaker 1: than later. So the president of the United States now
- 8:07Speaker 1: was writing back in 2011 that this has to happen.
- 8:11Speaker 1: He talked in particular about bombing the bunkers where the
- 8:16Speaker 1: Iranians kept their nuclear program. He said that this program
- 8:19Speaker 1: has to be stopped. And appeasement is not working. You know,
- 8:24Speaker 1: as we go through this, I'm going to go through
- 8:26Speaker 1: the news of the weekend. Some amazing things have transpired.
- 8:28Speaker 1: And for a lot of Americans, worrying things. You're looking
- 8:32Speaker 1: at this going, OK, what happens next? I just want
- 8:35Speaker 1: this to end well. We all do. This is all
- 8:37Speaker 1: what we're praying for. But it is helpful to have
- 8:40Speaker 1: this context of who President Trump is as a leader
- 8:44Speaker 1: and how he's different than establishment Washington. Think about it.
- 8:48Speaker 1: On one end, you've got the John Boltons of the world.
- 8:50Speaker 1: You've got what you call the neocons, the people who
- 8:53Speaker 1: will pour into any zone in the world with a
- 8:55Speaker 1: reckless abandon, throw American bodies at anything they possibly feel
- 9:00Speaker 1: like at the expense of, of course, immense amounts of
- 9:03Speaker 1: American treasure and blood. And for what ends? For what ends?
- 9:06Speaker 1: Often poorly articulated, if at all, to the American public.
- 9:10Speaker 1: It's disgraceful. And boy, have we learned a lot of
- 9:13Speaker 1: hard lessons through that kind of out-of-control adventurism. The other
- 9:18Speaker 1: side of the aisle is like the Obama world, the
- 9:20Speaker 1: world of appeasement, where you just bow and genuflect. In
- 9:23Speaker 1: Obama's case, quite literally bowed and genuflected to many of
- 9:27Speaker 1: our adversaries around the world, apologizing for America and saying
- 9:31Speaker 1: you can get away with literally murder and we'll help
- 9:34Speaker 1: finance your abilities to do that. That's how you end
- 9:36Speaker 1: up with Obama sending stacks of cash to Iran. It's insane.
- 9:42Speaker 1: President Trump has chosen a different way. President Trump has
- 9:45Speaker 1: not been the establishment. In fact, he's the answer to
- 9:49Speaker 1: the failures of the establishment. So the president is not
- 9:53Speaker 1: deploying ground troops into Iran. He's not doing some sort
- 9:57Speaker 1: of big invasion into the country. but he's also not
- 10:01Speaker 1: rolling over for a terror state that has actually killed
- 10:04Speaker 1: thousands of Americans since 47 years ago when you had
- 10:09Speaker 1: the mullahs in the Iranian revolution overthrow the Shah. Things
- 10:15Speaker 1: have been awful ever since, and Iran has only promised
- 10:18Speaker 1: to make them more awful. What has President Trump been
- 10:21Speaker 1: trying to do, especially in recent months? He's been trying
- 10:24Speaker 1: to negotiate. He's telling Iran, look, if you don't do this,
- 10:28Speaker 1: if you don't come to the table, if you don't
- 10:29Speaker 1: work with me, if you don't swear off your nuclear ambitions,
- 10:32Speaker 1: we're going to have to decapitate you. These are the options.
- 10:35Speaker 1: So you better play ball now. Well, playtime is over.
- 10:38Speaker 1: The president made that offer over and over and over again.
- 10:41Speaker 1: And by the time we got to Friday afternoon, I
- 10:43Speaker 1: remember saying as I was heading out of the radio
- 10:45Speaker 1: show Friday, I said, man, Things are heated up so
- 10:48Speaker 1: much right now, and it seems so clear to me
- 10:51Speaker 1: that there could be a strike on Iran imminently, that
- 10:53Speaker 1: by Monday we could be talking about something very different.
- 10:56Speaker 1: And here we are, talking about something very different. Massive
- 11:00Speaker 1: strikes on Iran. Massive strikes on Iran. Hitting their military facilities,
- 11:06Speaker 1: hitting their top political leadership facilities. And this all came,
- 11:11Speaker 1: that announcement from the president apparently came as there was
- 11:14Speaker 1: a huge human physical gathering of all of Iran's top leadership. Now,
- 11:19Speaker 1: I don't know what they were thinking. If I knew
- 11:21Speaker 1: on Friday that it seemed very likely that the United
- 11:24Speaker 1: States and Israel were about to strike Iran, I don't
- 11:26Speaker 1: think if I was the supreme leader, I'd be gathering
- 11:29Speaker 1: with all of my top leadership in one location. And
- 11:32Speaker 1: yet that's precisely what they did. This is This whole
- 11:35Speaker 1: thing is wild, and I'd love to know more, and
- 11:37Speaker 1: probably won't. I'll probably go to my grave not knowing
- 11:39Speaker 1: all of the classified details, the behind-the-scenes efforts, the disinformation
- 11:44Speaker 1: necessary to try and make things happen, whatever it is. Boy,
- 11:47Speaker 1: they knew where these guys were. Our spies were all
- 11:50Speaker 1: over tracking where these guys were headed. Check this out.
- 11:53Speaker 1: This is the New York Times reporting this overnight. The
- 11:55Speaker 1: CIA helped pinpoint a gathering of Iranian leaders. Then Israel struck.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Shortly before the United States and Israel were poised to
- 12:03Speaker 1: launch an attack on Iran, the CIA zeroed in on
- 12:07Speaker 1: the location of perhaps the most important target, the Ayatollah
- 12:11Speaker 1: Ali Khamenei, the country's supreme leader. The CIA had been
- 12:15Speaker 1: tracking Khamenei for months, gaining more confidence about his locations
- 12:19Speaker 1: and his patterns, according to people familiar with the operation.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Then the agency learned that a meeting of top Iranian
- 12:25Speaker 1: officials would take place on Saturday morning at a leadership
- 12:30Speaker 1: compound in the heart of Tehran. The CIA learned that
- 12:33Speaker 1: the Supreme Leader would be at the site. So the
- 12:36Speaker 1: United States and Israel decided to adjust the timing of
- 12:39Speaker 1: their attack, in part to take advantage of this new intelligence.
- 12:42Speaker 1: The information provided a window of opportunity for the two
- 12:46Speaker 1: countries to eliminate top Iranian officials and Ayatollah Khamenei. The
- 12:51Speaker 1: remarkably swift removal of Iran's Supreme Leader reflected the close
- 12:56Speaker 1: coordination and intelligence sharing between the U.S. and Israel in
- 12:59Speaker 1: the run-up to the attack and the deep intel that
- 13:01Speaker 1: countries had developed on Iranian leadership, especially in the wake
- 13:05Speaker 1: of last year's 12-day war. The Times claims that the
- 13:10Speaker 1: CIA had high-fidelity intelligence on Khamenei's position. It was passed
- 13:14Speaker 1: on to Israel, according to people briefed on the intelligence.
- 13:18Speaker 1: And they executed, Israel executed this mission, this operation using U.S.
- 13:24Speaker 1: intelligence and its own that had been planning for months,
- 13:27Speaker 1: the targeted killing of Iran's senior leaders. They originally planned
- 13:32Speaker 1: on going on at night under the cover of darkness,
- 13:34Speaker 1: but instead adjusted the timing based on the fact that
- 13:37Speaker 1: these leaders had all gathered at the offices of the
- 13:41Speaker 1: Iranian presidency, the Supreme Leader and Iran's National Security Council.
- 13:45Speaker 1: They're all there. And they took them out. Who'd they kill?
- 13:49Speaker 1: A lot of people. A lot of people. And, you know,
- 13:53Speaker 1: talking to military experts about this, the fact is, we
- 13:57Speaker 1: knew that they were having this meeting. You have to.
- 14:00Speaker 1: We knew that they'd be having this meeting even before
- 14:02Speaker 1: they arrived at it. That's how dialed in our intelligence
- 14:06Speaker 1: services were, because you start firing up all of the
- 14:09Speaker 1: military hardware necessary to get it in there at exactly
- 14:13Speaker 1: the moment necessary to take out this this leadership. So
- 14:18Speaker 1: fascinating what is transpiring this morning and what transpired this weekend.
- 14:23Speaker 1: It really was a masterstroke of intelligence that led to
- 14:27Speaker 1: an immense attack. Now, the president revealed on Saturday on
- 14:32Speaker 1: Truth Social that Khamenei is dead. This was his share
- 14:37Speaker 1: on Truth Social this weekend. He says, not only justice
- 14:40Speaker 1: for the people of Iran, but for all great Americans
- 14:42Speaker 1: and those people from many countries throughout the world who
- 14:45Speaker 1: have been killed or mutilated by Khamenei and his gang
- 14:48Speaker 1: of bloodthirsty thugs. And if the president's statement is not
- 14:52Speaker 1: enough on this subject, take a look A cut to here,
- 14:57Speaker 1: the Iranian state media, one of their propagandists, pretending to
- 15:01Speaker 1: well up in tears as he makes the announcement on
- 15:05Speaker 1: state television. Watch.
- 15:07Speaker 4: After a life of Mujahedat, Hosseini and Daimi and unbearable fatigue,
- 15:12Speaker 4: the spirit of high and angelic, the mountain of power
- 15:18Speaker 4: and authority, You're listening on the podcast. He's just saying
- 15:30Speaker 4: Khamenei is dead. He says he drank.
- 15:39Speaker 1: The sweet, pure draft of martyrdom.
- 15:44Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:47Speaker 1: So did you notice that guy? For those of you
- 15:48Speaker 1: watching on the video podcast, and even if you're listening,
- 15:50Speaker 1: you could probably hear it. How fake the tears are
- 15:53Speaker 1: on that dude. Like that guy was pretending to cry
- 15:56Speaker 1: on camera, pretending to cry on camera as he releases
- 16:00Speaker 1: that statement on behalf of state media in Iran that
- 16:04Speaker 1: Khomeini is dead. Confirmation there. There were celebrations around the
- 16:11Speaker 1: planet in the United States, celebrations in places like L.A.,
- 16:15Speaker 1: New York. You saw Iranians and Jews come together and
- 16:21Speaker 1: celebrating this. In London, you saw this all around the
- 16:25Speaker 1: planet and in Iran. Here's video footage from Iran of
- 16:28Speaker 1: Iranians celebrating the death of their own supreme leader in
- 16:31Speaker 1: the streets. Watch. Yeah, that comes to us from the
- 16:46Speaker 1: suburb of Karaj, Iran. There were videos like that all
- 16:50Speaker 1: across the country. A lot of, you know, you think
- 16:53Speaker 1: about what's going on in Iran 47 years ago. the
- 16:56Speaker 1: overthrow of the Shah, you have people who are old
- 17:00Speaker 1: enough to remember what it was like to live under
- 17:02Speaker 1: the Shah rather than under the mullahs, and they pine
- 17:05Speaker 1: for that. They want that back. And then you have
- 17:08Speaker 1: young people who have a sense of what Iran's past
- 17:11Speaker 1: looked like, and they certainly want the future to look
- 17:13Speaker 1: like that as well. So that is the attitude that
- 17:18Speaker 1: President Trump is hoping to take advantage of and help
- 17:23Speaker 1: cultivate a renewed and— you know, in peaceful Iran and
- 17:27Speaker 1: not a belligerent, radical Iran that's trying to destroy America
- 17:32Speaker 1: and Israel. We'll see. We'll see about this. Now, a
- 17:36Speaker 1: lot of Iranian officials were killed. The president told Fox
- 17:40Speaker 1: News that 48 Iranian leaders were wiped out in a
- 17:43Speaker 1: single shot. Cut four. Watch as Fox relays their conversation
- 17:47Speaker 1: with the president.
- 17:48Speaker 5: I spoke with President Trump, who tells me he knows
- 17:51Speaker 5: how many targets are left to hit as part of
- 17:53Speaker 5: the joint U.S. and Israeli strikes. The president told me
- 17:56Speaker 5: 48 Iranian leaders were wiped out in one shot, adding
- 18:00Speaker 5: that Operation Epic Fury is moving along rapidly.
- 18:03Speaker 2: 48.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Have you guys noticed? Can I just let me just
- 18:07Speaker 1: take a quick aside just on the numbers. Have you
- 18:10Speaker 1: noticed how frequently we've been served numbers in the 40s
- 18:13Speaker 1: this past week? Isn't that weird? I don't know if
- 18:15Speaker 1: it's weird to you. I was dwelling on it this week.
- 18:17Speaker 1: I'm like, why do we keep getting all these numbers?
- 18:19Speaker 1: I don't want to dive into numerology or anything, but
- 18:21Speaker 1: like 47, that's the president of the United States. The
- 18:25Speaker 1: Iranian regime was launched 47 years ago. 48 Iranian leaders
- 18:31Speaker 1: were just wiped out. And unrelated, but in the 40s too,
- 18:35Speaker 1: the U.S. men's hockey team just won gold for the
- 18:39Speaker 1: first time in 46 years since the miracle on ice
- 18:42Speaker 1: against the Soviets. 46, 47, 48. President Trump was also 45.
- 18:46Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm not really sure. I'm not really sure. Anyway,
- 18:53Speaker 1: the point is, it just all stands out to me.
- 18:54Speaker 1: I'm like, that's right. Oh yeah, we're in Lent right now.
- 18:57Speaker 1: 40 days. You know, Jesus went out into the desert
- 19:00Speaker 1: for 40 days and I just turned 40. Maybe it's nothing.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Maybe it's nothing. But it's also fascinating.
- 19:06Speaker 3: Yeah, I know.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Isn't that weird? Little Lisa says that too. You just
- 19:09Speaker 1: turned 40.
- 19:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:10Speaker 1: And AOC's IQ is 40. All of these things. That's hilarious.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Thank you, Ronduck. All of these things on the same time.
- 19:18Speaker 1: I wonder what that's about. OK, let's see. More to go.
- 19:24Speaker 6: More to go.
- 19:25Speaker 1: We get an afternoon update from the president of the
- 19:27Speaker 1: United States on Sunday afternoon. I will share that with you.
- 19:33Speaker 1: And and look, when you have when you've got military
- 19:37Speaker 1: action like this. And I get, we'll talk about the
- 19:40Speaker 1: definition of war and whether or not we're at war.
- 19:42Speaker 1: There's a lot of that going on. A lot of
- 19:43Speaker 1: that revolves around people trying to make arguments about what
- 19:47Speaker 1: Congress's involvement should be. But clearly, if you fire missiles
- 19:51Speaker 1: at anything, you're engaged in an armed conflict. Iran, of course,
- 19:55Speaker 1: has been at war with the United States for 47 years,
- 20:00Speaker 1: and with Israel in particular. So, you know, you want
- 20:02Speaker 1: to call something a war. Yeah, Iran has constantly been
- 20:06Speaker 1: conducting acts of war like crazy. And President Trump just
- 20:10Speaker 1: took a big step towards ending it. We'll go through
- 20:14Speaker 1: all of it in a moment. We've got so much
- 20:15Speaker 1: more to get to here on the program. Stay with me.
- 20:19Speaker 1: But first, I want to talk to you about Blackout Coffee.

- 21:37Speaker 1: Thank you, Blackout. All right. So then we get an
- 21:40Speaker 1: update from the president on Sunday. So we've killed 48,
- 21:46Speaker 1: the president announced, and we know we took out everybody.
- 21:49Speaker 1: I mean... We even took out Ahmadinejad. Ahmadinejad is Ahmadinejad gone.
- 21:53Speaker 1: He's done for. You've got the head of the Iranian
- 21:57Speaker 1: Defense Council was killed. The defense minister was killed. The
- 22:00Speaker 1: IRGC commander was killed. The Ayatollah Khomeini was killed. We
- 22:06Speaker 1: blew up the whole IRGC headquarters. Take a look at
- 22:11Speaker 1: cut six first. Take a look. Cut six. Here's the
- 22:13Speaker 1: IRGC headquarters being turned to the dust. Look at that. Smithereens.
- 22:32Speaker 1: I think that's what a smithereen is. I think we're
- 22:34Speaker 1: seeing a lot of those on camera right now. The
- 22:36Speaker 1: IRGC headquarters absolutely dusted. Yes, that was dusted. That was impressive.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Candidly impressive. The president of the United States did offer
- 22:48Speaker 1: an update Sunday afternoon on the military operations. Here's what
- 22:51Speaker 1: he said.
- 22:53Speaker 2: Over the past 36 hours, the United States and its
- 22:57Speaker 2: partners have launched Operation Epic Fury, one of the largest,
- 23:02Speaker 2: most complex, most overwhelming military offensives the world has ever seen.
- 23:08Speaker 2: Nobody has seen anything like it. We have hit hundreds
- 23:12Speaker 2: of targets in Iran, including Revolutionary Guard facilities, Iranian air
- 23:19Speaker 2: defense systems. Just now, it was announced that we knocked
- 23:23Speaker 2: out nine ships, plus their naval building. all in a
- 23:28Speaker 2: matter of literally minutes. Iran's formerly Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei
- 23:38Speaker 2: is dead. This wretched and vile man had the blood
- 23:41Speaker 2: of hundreds and even thousands of Americans on his hands
- 23:46Speaker 2: and was responsible for the slaughter of countless thousands of
- 23:51Speaker 2: innocent people all across many countries. Last night, All over Iran,
- 23:58Speaker 2: the voices of the Iranian people could be heard cheering
- 24:01Speaker 2: and celebrating in the streets when his death was announced.
- 24:07Speaker 2: The entire military command is gone as well, and many
- 24:11Speaker 2: of them want to surrender into saving their lives. They
- 24:16Speaker 2: want immunity. They're calling by the thousands. Combat operations continue
- 24:23Speaker 2: at this time in full force, and they will continue
- 24:26Speaker 2: until All of our objectives are achieved. We have very
- 24:30Speaker 2: strong objectives. They could have done something two weeks ago,
- 24:34Speaker 2: but they just couldn't get there. Earlier today, CENTCOM shared
- 24:39Speaker 2: the news that three U.S. military service members have been
- 24:43Speaker 2: killed in action. As one nation, we grieve for the
- 24:48Speaker 2: true American patriots who have made the ultimate sacrifice for
- 24:52Speaker 2: our nation. Even as we continue the righteous mission for
- 24:57Speaker 2: which they gave their lives, we pray for the full
- 25:01Speaker 2: recovery of the wounded and send our immense love and
- 25:05Speaker 2: eternal gratitude to the families of the fallen. And sadly,
- 25:10Speaker 2: there will likely be more. Before it ends, that's the
- 25:14Speaker 2: way it is. Likely be more, but we'll do everything
- 25:18Speaker 2: possible where that won't be the case. But America will
- 25:22Speaker 2: avenge their deaths and deliver the most punishing blow to
- 25:26Speaker 2: the terrorists who have waged war against basically civilization.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Against civilization itself. The president of the United States. So
- 25:38Speaker 1: you heard a number of things there, including the success
- 25:40Speaker 1: of our combat operations in Iran and the disclosure that
- 25:45Speaker 1: three U.S. military service members have been killed in action. Well,
- 25:49Speaker 1: God rest their patriotic souls. God bless. those men and
- 25:54Speaker 1: their families. There were five others who were wounded, CENTCOM said,
- 25:59Speaker 1: as well. And they're making a recovery right now. War's
- 26:05Speaker 1: a messy business. It's a messy business. Again, whatever you
- 26:08Speaker 1: want to call this, war is a messy business. And
- 26:12Speaker 1: our prayers are always with our troops and our gratitude's
- 26:14Speaker 1: with our troops. This is tough stuff. And we have
- 26:18Speaker 1: an update this morning. that three US F-15s, according to
- 26:22Speaker 1: Central Command, were shot down in a friendly fire incident
- 26:27Speaker 1: in Kuwait. At 11.03 last night, p.m. Eastern time, three
- 26:33Speaker 1: US F-15 East Right Eagles flying in support of Operation
- 26:36Speaker 1: Epic Fury went down over Kuwait due to an apparent
- 26:40Speaker 1: friendly fire incident. During active combat, that included attacks from
- 26:44Speaker 1: Iranian aircraft, ballistic missiles, and drones, the US Air Force
- 26:47Speaker 1: fighter jets were mistakenly shot down by Kuwaiti air defenses.
- 26:53Speaker 1: All six air crew ejected safely. They've been safely recovered
- 26:57Speaker 1: and they're in stable condition. Kuwait has acknowledged the incident
- 27:01Speaker 1: and we are grateful for the efforts of the Kuwaiti
- 27:03Speaker 1: defense forces and their support in this ongoing operation. They
- 27:07Speaker 1: said they are investigating the incident. Additional information set to
- 27:10Speaker 1: be released as it becomes available. But the perils are
- 27:14Speaker 1: obviously very real to the men are taking to the
- 27:18Speaker 1: skies right now in the region. And we'll find out
- 27:21Speaker 1: more information about the loss of these American lives very
- 27:26Speaker 1: early here. The president saying we're doing everything we can
- 27:28Speaker 1: to avoid that. We'll do everything possible, he said, where
- 27:32Speaker 1: we won't lose more lives. But this is one of
- 27:35Speaker 1: the realities of war. This is, you know, what we're
- 27:41Speaker 1: watching right now as the United States is disabling all
- 27:48Speaker 1: of Iran's top officials. Iran itself is undergoing spasms and
- 27:54Speaker 1: not quite sure what to do. And in fact, the
- 27:57Speaker 1: Iranians instantly started lashing out at their Gulf state neighbors.
- 28:03Speaker 1: They started attacking Arab countries all around them immediately in
- 28:08Speaker 1: the wake of Khomeini dying, which may prove to have
- 28:13Speaker 1: been a catastrophically bad decision for Iran because, you know,
- 28:17Speaker 1: whatever hope they might have had for the region, coming
- 28:21Speaker 1: in any way to their defense, well, that just completely
- 28:23Speaker 1: collapses as they fire attacks on their Gulf allies, Gulf neighbors, rather.
- 28:29Speaker 1: More in a moment. I've got details on all of that,
- 28:33Speaker 1: including the way that all of these Arab countries are responding.
- 28:36Speaker 1: President Trump is easily remaking, it's not actually, it's not
- 28:40Speaker 1: an easy job, but he easily deserves credit for it,
- 28:43Speaker 1: remaking the map globally. We'll get into it all ahead
- 28:47Speaker 1: on this edition events. Our great sponsors today include TrueTrade.

- 30:09Speaker 1: weather this weekend. It was amazing. And I think we're
- 30:13Speaker 1: going to get more of it soon, which I love.
- 30:15Speaker 1: Spring always gets me and more in particular, my wife, Allison,
- 30:19Speaker 1: in the mindset of cleaning and upgrading and getting everything
- 30:22Speaker 1: organized and just trying to feel more rested. going into

- 31:37Speaker 1: All right. So let's get into what happened next. So
- 31:42Speaker 1: the Iranians are freaking out. They don't know what to do.
- 31:45Speaker 1: All their leadership just got killed. They're like a chicken
- 31:47Speaker 1: with their head cut off, running around in circles, trying
- 31:49Speaker 1: to figure out how they latch out and at whom
- 31:52Speaker 1: they should direct their ammunition. And so what did they do?
- 31:56Speaker 1: They started firing ballistic missiles and drones at everybody. They,
- 32:01Speaker 1: of course, sent a bunch of these attacks in Israel's direction.
- 32:05Speaker 1: They destroyed a synagogue in Israel. They killed at least
- 32:09Speaker 1: nine people there. They say another 450 people have been
- 32:13Speaker 1: injured in attacks in Israel, according to the BBC. Then
- 32:17Speaker 1: they had All sorts of missiles fired towards Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman,
- 32:25Speaker 1: Saudi Arabia. They're firing at everybody. There was a drone
- 32:30Speaker 1: strike at a U.S. naval base in Bahrain on Sunday,
- 32:33Speaker 1: and it started a fire there. Three people were killed
- 32:37Speaker 1: in the United Arab Emirates as there were attacks by
- 32:40Speaker 1: the Iranians on various ports and airports. One person died,
- 32:44Speaker 1: at least in Kuwait. Of course, I told you about
- 32:46Speaker 1: the three American service members, the troops who died in combat,
- 32:50Speaker 1: five others seriously injured. But the reality is mostly in
- 32:55Speaker 1: the region now, the president and our Middle Eastern allies,
- 32:59Speaker 1: we've successfully stopped most of the attacks. A lot of
- 33:02Speaker 1: the attacks that have been incoming have been thwarted, intercepted, blocked.
- 33:07Speaker 1: The CENTCOM said that forces have been successfully defending against, quote,
- 33:10Speaker 1: hundreds of Iranian missile and drone attacks all across the region.
- 33:16Speaker 1: So Iran doesn't know what to do. And in its
- 33:19Speaker 1: lack of wisdom, its lack of knowledge about what to do,
- 33:22Speaker 1: it has only brought a host of nations closer together
- 33:26Speaker 1: in alliance against Iran. Here's a joint statement that was
- 33:31Speaker 1: released by the United States, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia,
- 33:37Speaker 1: and UAE, all condemning Iran this weekend and their indiscriminate
- 33:43Speaker 1: and reckless missile and drone attacks against sovereign territories across
- 33:46Speaker 1: the region, including Bahrain, Iraq. including the Iraqi Kurdistan region, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar,
- 33:53Speaker 1: Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. These unjustified strikes targeted sovereign territory,
- 33:58Speaker 1: endangered civilian populations, and damaged civilian infrastructure. The Islamic Republic's
- 34:04Speaker 1: actions represent a dangerous escalation that violates the sovereignty of
- 34:07Speaker 1: multiple states and threatens regional stability. The targeting of civilians
- 34:11Speaker 1: and of countries not engaged in hostilities is reckless and
- 34:15Speaker 1: destabilizing activity. And the statement goes on to basically say,
- 34:19Speaker 1: we stand united in defense of our citizens' sovereignty and territory.
- 34:24Speaker 1: So what an amazing thing. Could any of this have
- 34:27Speaker 1: happened under, say, I mean, honestly, think about it, under
- 34:30Speaker 1: a President Bush or a President Obama or a Biden,
- 34:35Speaker 1: any of these guys, a President Kamala Harris, God forbid?
- 34:39Speaker 1: The answer is no. The answer is no. What has
- 34:42Speaker 1: President Trump been doing? What is all of this about?
- 34:46Speaker 1: What has he been up to? The answer to this is,
- 34:50Speaker 1: as I mentioned at the outset of the program, one,
- 34:52Speaker 1: Iran has long been on his mind. It's been of
- 34:55Speaker 1: immense concern for him for many years, dating back to,
- 34:58Speaker 1: at the very least, that 2011 book, Time to Get Tough,
- 35:02Speaker 1: where President Trump declared that Obama had gotten it all
- 35:04Speaker 1: wrong by appeasing Iran, and we had to stop them.
- 35:07Speaker 1: We had to bomb their nuclear capabilities, and we had
- 35:11Speaker 1: to stop them from ever getting a nuclear weapon. President
- 35:14Speaker 1: Trump tries negotiation, doesn't work. The Iranians don't take him seriously.
- 35:18Speaker 1: So the president said, you'll take me seriously now. And
- 35:21Speaker 1: he blows up their entire top leadership. Now, Iran is
- 35:25Speaker 1: scrambling to create new leadership for his country right now.
- 35:28Speaker 1: They've imposed an interim supreme leader at the moment. The
- 35:32Speaker 1: president indicated over the weekend to the Atlantic that he is,
- 35:37Speaker 1: meaning his administration, is in contact right now with the
- 35:42Speaker 1: new leadership of Iran. And the president says that he
- 35:46Speaker 1: has agreed to talk to them. He's ready to... He's like, oh,
- 35:50Speaker 1: talk now. We killed everybody you know. All your leaders
- 35:53Speaker 1: are dead. President Trump said to the Atlanta... this weekend
- 35:57Speaker 1: that the country's new leadership wants to talk with him
- 36:00Speaker 1: and that he plans to do so. Quote, they want
- 36:02Speaker 1: to talk and I've agreed to talk, so I'll be
- 36:04Speaker 1: talking to them. They should have done it sooner. They
- 36:06Speaker 1: should have given what was very practical and easy to
- 36:08Speaker 1: do sooner. They waited too long, he said. Asked where
- 36:12Speaker 1: this conversation with the Iranians would happen today or tomorrow,
- 36:15Speaker 1: Trump responded, I can't tell you that. He said that
- 36:18Speaker 1: some of the Iranians who were involved in negotiations in
- 36:20Speaker 1: recent weeks are no longer alive. Most of those people
- 36:24Speaker 1: are gone, Some of the people we were dealing with
- 36:26Speaker 1: are gone because that was big. That was a big hit.
- 36:29Speaker 1: They should have done it sooner, Michael. That's the name
- 36:31Speaker 1: of the reporter. They could have made a deal. They
- 36:34Speaker 1: should have done it sooner. They played too cute. Whatever
- 36:41Speaker 1: you think of President Trump, you can in no way
- 36:44Speaker 1: doubt his resolve. The man means what he says. I
- 36:50Speaker 1: want you to also think about something else that just
- 36:52Speaker 1: happened this weekend that very few people are even talking about.
- 36:57Speaker 1: This decision by the United States, by President Trump, has
- 37:01Speaker 1: a huge impact on China. It has a huge impact
- 37:06Speaker 1: on the Chinese Communist Party. You and I have had
- 37:11Speaker 1: this conversation quite a few times, but I'll just remind
- 37:13Speaker 1: you of the data. 90% of Iran's oil goes to China.
- 37:15Speaker 2: 90%.
- 37:15Speaker 1: You want to talk about A great power, a huge
- 37:24Speaker 1: adversary to the United States, the leading adversary to the
- 37:26Speaker 1: United States is China. 90% of Iran's oil exports go
- 37:32Speaker 1: to China. China does not have any domestic oil production, any.
- 37:38Speaker 1: It's entirely reliant on imports in order to power the
- 37:43Speaker 1: oil component of its economy. Iran accounts for, by some estimates,
- 37:48Speaker 1: approximately 12% of all of China's crude oil imports. They
- 37:53Speaker 1: get it from a whole bunch of places to include Russia.
- 37:56Speaker 1: But Iran has accounted for 12%. If in a second
- 38:01Speaker 1: you lose 12% of your oil, that's a big deal.
- 38:07Speaker 1: That's a very big deal. If in the end of this,
- 38:12Speaker 1: that just means that the Chinese have to buy legitimate
- 38:15Speaker 1: oil on the open market at higher rates, It's still
- 38:18Speaker 1: a very big deal for the United States. It improves
- 38:21Speaker 1: our hand rather dramatically in this adversarial relationship we have
- 38:26Speaker 1: with the Chinese Communist Party. Iran, though, is only the
- 38:30Speaker 1: latest power cord that the president of the United States
- 38:32Speaker 1: is now kicking out. Remember, it just happened in Venezuela
- 38:36Speaker 1: not too long ago. As the president goes in, the
- 38:39Speaker 1: military goes in, we grab Maduro and his wife, we
- 38:42Speaker 1: bring them to the United States where they have to
- 38:44Speaker 1: stand trial for their narco-terror behavior. And we leave in
- 38:48Speaker 1: place the upper leadership that was just behind Maduro in Venezuela.
- 38:54Speaker 1: The goal there is not regime change, but regime enhancement.
- 38:59Speaker 1: The president says, okay, we'll keep you there. And then
- 39:02Speaker 1: we're going to do that for stability. And so long
- 39:04Speaker 1: as you play ball with us, we'll play ball with you.
- 39:07Speaker 1: So far, so good. Now, Venezuela accounted for 4.2%. of
- 39:14Speaker 1: all of China's oil imports. But that was a big
- 39:16Speaker 1: deal to Venezuela because Venezuela was exporting anywhere between 50
- 39:21Speaker 1: to 89% of all of its oil to China. In fact,
- 39:22Speaker 1: in 2025, the analysts believe 89% of all Venezuelan oil
- 39:31Speaker 1: was headed to China. Now, again, that was illicit. That
- 39:35Speaker 1: was not supposed to be happening. We were trying to
- 39:37Speaker 1: put a stop to that. It was heavily sanctioned. But
- 39:40Speaker 1: these illicit ghost ships were bringing all of this Venezuelan
- 39:44Speaker 1: oil to China. President Trump has cut that off. So
- 39:47Speaker 1: I want to remind you of something that's getting almost
- 39:50Speaker 1: no attention in the media right now. The great power
- 39:54Speaker 1: battle between the United States and China just had a
- 39:57Speaker 1: massive addition to its story, which is now President Trump
- 40:01Speaker 1: has cut off in the vicinity of about 16% of
- 40:04Speaker 1: all of China's oil imports. Again, they produce no oil domestically.
- 40:08Speaker 1: All oil that they get is imported. And now at
- 40:11Speaker 1: least 16% of it has suddenly been. been kicked out
- 40:16Speaker 1: of the way by the president of the United States.
- 40:19Speaker 1: That's a massive deal. Where has Iran been getting all
- 40:22Speaker 1: of its money from? Where has Venezuela been getting all
- 40:25Speaker 1: of its money from in order to conduct these terrorist activities?
- 40:29Speaker 1: The answer is China. They get it from China. And
- 40:33Speaker 1: so President Trump has cut them off today, which is
- 40:36Speaker 1: an amazing dynamic. And I'm kind of keen to keep
- 40:39Speaker 1: an eye on where that component goes next. That's a
- 40:43Speaker 1: fascinating component. dynamic here. And then let me address some
- 40:48Speaker 1: of the other domestic concerns that are going on. If
- 40:51Speaker 1: you're the kind of person who is really fed up
- 40:57Speaker 1: with the United States engaging in frivolous regime change operations
- 41:01Speaker 1: that cost a lot of American blood and treasure and
- 41:05Speaker 1: without meaningful upside to the United States, I empathize sincerely
- 41:10Speaker 1: with you. In fact, I share that view. I've talked
- 41:13Speaker 1: about this for many years now. The United States needs
- 41:16Speaker 1: to slow down and think clearly about where our military
- 41:20Speaker 1: engagements occur. No doubt about that. And one of the
- 41:24Speaker 1: reasons why you hear so many legitimately concerned voices expressing
- 41:29Speaker 1: frustration about how things are going down right now on
- 41:32Speaker 1: Iran is because the memory of Iraq is still fresh
- 41:35Speaker 1: in so many people's minds. Remember, the United States has
- 41:38Speaker 1: sold a bill of goods as a justification to go
- 41:40Speaker 1: in for a regime change operation. to take out Saddam
- 41:43Speaker 1: Hussein and to subsequently destabilize the entire region as a result.
- 41:50Speaker 1: But not everything is the same thing. I'm here to
- 41:54Speaker 1: remind you. Just because we take out Iraq and then
- 41:58Speaker 1: Iraq becomes a complete dumpster fire that manifests in the
- 42:02Speaker 1: birth of ISIS in the Middle East doesn't mean that
- 42:06Speaker 1: every other engagement that we have going forward will be
- 42:09Speaker 1: the exact same thing. And it's worthwhile, and as we're
- 42:12Speaker 1: staring at this, to think about some of the dynamics.
- 42:14Speaker 1: So what was going on in Iraq? Well, of course,
- 42:16Speaker 1: they had this dictator, Saddam Hussein. He was part of
- 42:19Speaker 1: the Ba'athist operation running the show in Iraq. When we
- 42:24Speaker 1: go in, not only do we decapitate the whole government,
- 42:27Speaker 1: but we engage in something called deba'athification. We purge the
- 42:30Speaker 1: government of anything even close to Saddam Hussein. We tear
- 42:35Speaker 1: up everything. We destroy everything. Iraq is also beset by
- 42:40Speaker 1: tribal infighting from the Sunnis to the Shias to the Kurds,
- 42:43Speaker 1: all sorts of battles for who's going to take over
- 42:46Speaker 1: power next that definitely defined and set the stage for
- 42:51Speaker 1: the immense chaos that ensued in Iraq in the wake
- 42:55Speaker 1: of the overthrow of Saddam, creating that immense power vacuum
- 42:58Speaker 1: in a world in which terrorism could rise. Now, what
- 43:02Speaker 1: about Iran? What's happening in Iran right now? Well, Iran
- 43:05Speaker 1: is different in one gigantic, meaningful way. Iran is the
- 43:09Speaker 1: source of destabilization in the Middle East right now. It's
- 43:13Speaker 1: not a matter of knocking out the leader and then
- 43:16Speaker 1: all of a sudden things becoming destabilized. Iran is already
- 43:19Speaker 1: leading a destabilization operation. It's funding its various proxies from
- 43:23Speaker 1: Hezbollah to Hamas, who are causing all sorts of trouble,
- 43:27Speaker 1: locking up places like the Strait of Hormuz, leading terror
- 43:30Speaker 1: attacks in various countries in the region against Israelis, against Americans.
- 43:35Speaker 1: It's a source of immense chaos. And all of those
- 43:38Speaker 1: Arab countries, those Middle Eastern countries that I just mentioned
- 43:40Speaker 1: a moment ago, who are now closer to the United States,
- 43:43Speaker 1: and by the way, a lot of them are closer
- 43:45Speaker 1: to Israel, thanks to President Trump's orchestration of the Abraham Accords.
- 43:49Speaker 1: They're sick of the destabilization in their region. They want peace.
- 43:54Speaker 1: They don't want terrorism around them. And the source of
- 43:57Speaker 1: that terrorism, in many cases, was Iran, funded by China.
- 44:02Speaker 1: You follow what I'm saying? And then in Iran, the
- 44:05Speaker 1: difference of the population is also fairly dramatic from where
- 44:09Speaker 1: we were with Iraq. In Iran, you have mostly Persian people.
- 44:14Speaker 1: It's a more sophisticated region. country, a sophisticated country that
- 44:17Speaker 1: remembers what life was like, especially the old timers, before
- 44:22Speaker 1: the arrival of the mullahs at the top 47 years ago.
- 44:25Speaker 1: They remember what it was like under the Shah. They
- 44:27Speaker 1: pine for those days to return. And you have, yes,
- 44:31Speaker 1: you have other minority groups, certainly in the country. You
- 44:33Speaker 1: have Arabs, you have Kurds, you have Christians. You have
- 44:37Speaker 1: Jews that live in Iran. It is a different environment
- 44:42Speaker 1: pretty dramatically. You talk to anybody who's an expert on
- 44:44Speaker 1: the Middle East from Iraq, these are not the same
- 44:46Speaker 1: populations at all. If we've learned anything from history, When
- 44:51Speaker 1: you engage in a decapitation operation or you engage in
- 44:54Speaker 1: a war with a country and then you're trying to
- 44:57Speaker 1: plan for a peaceful aftermath, it really helps if the
- 45:00Speaker 1: culture is more homogenous, if you have some unity within
- 45:05Speaker 1: the culture itself. Certainly in Japan in the wake of
- 45:07Speaker 1: World War II, we nuked them a couple of times.
- 45:10Speaker 1: Everybody's Japanese. The emperor swears off his divinity. And then
- 45:13Speaker 1: you're able to have an actual formation of democracy and
- 45:17Speaker 1: peace for years to come. And now Japan, of course,
- 45:19Speaker 1: ever since has been a great American ally. The same
- 45:22Speaker 1: is true in Germany in the wake of World War II.
- 45:25Speaker 1: Both of those were used as examples in the past
- 45:28Speaker 1: by the neocons that democracy was possible everywhere. Now, I'm
- 45:31Speaker 1: not in any way convinced that some sort of flourishing
- 45:33Speaker 1: democracy is possible in Iran, but I am convinced that
- 45:38Speaker 1: President Trump represents something different from the establishment that has
- 45:42Speaker 1: existed in Washington for many years, again, ranging from the
- 45:47Speaker 1: absurd neocons of all the way to the appeasers like
- 45:51Speaker 1: Barack Obama. President Trump is forging a mostly unseen middle ground.
- 45:57Speaker 1: Look what he just did in Venezuela. He gets rid
- 45:59Speaker 1: of Maduro, but he keeps the second in command in charge. Now,
- 46:03Speaker 1: will he do something similar in Iran? The reality, of course,
- 46:06Speaker 1: is he just killed a lot of the top officials.
- 46:08Speaker 1: The United States military, the Israeli military just killed a
- 46:11Speaker 1: lot of the top officials. So we'll see. We'll see
- 46:15Speaker 1: what happens. But clearly, President Trump is contemplating what comes next.
- 46:19Speaker 1: How do we keep the country stable and how do
- 46:22Speaker 1: we arrest primarily its nuclear ambitions? We want to stop
- 46:26Speaker 1: the reign of terror and we want to stop them
- 46:28Speaker 1: from pursuing and using nuclear weapons. That's the plan. And
- 46:32Speaker 1: in fact, the administration is already signaling that what we
- 46:35Speaker 1: can expect in the weeks to come is a bombing
- 46:39Speaker 1: campaign directed at getting rid of the Iranian missile arsenal.
- 46:44Speaker 1: They're trying to destroy all of the missiles that the
- 46:46Speaker 1: Iranians have and have been using as they try and
- 46:50Speaker 1: prosecute these wars of terror against their regional allies and
- 46:54Speaker 1: against targets, including Americans. That's what's happening right now. But
- 46:58Speaker 1: the president trying to figure out a way to successfully
- 47:02Speaker 1: navigate all of this. And again, like I said, Not everything.
- 47:07Speaker 1: Every single thing is the same thing. Things are different.
- 47:10Speaker 1: They're dynamic. One more thing giving me a degree of
- 47:13Speaker 1: confidence here. Think about who the president has around him.
- 47:18Speaker 1: The president, as great as he is, also has great
- 47:21Speaker 1: advisors around him. Whether it's J.D. Vance, the vice president
- 47:24Speaker 1: of the United States, very smart man. Whether it's Marco Rubio,
- 47:28Speaker 1: the secretary of state, a very, very smart man and
- 47:31Speaker 1: a talented diplomat. or it's the chairman of the Joint
- 47:34Speaker 1: Chiefs of Staff, Raisin Cane. Guy knows what he's doing.
- 47:39Speaker 1: These guys have thought this through. They knew what these
- 47:44Speaker 1: military operations would look like and had thought about, okay,
- 47:47Speaker 1: what is the aftermath of this thing? Has the president
- 47:50Speaker 1: done this before?
- 47:51Speaker 4: Well, yeah.
- 47:52Speaker 1: I mean, he took out Soleimani, Qasem Soleimani, in his
- 47:55Speaker 1: first term. And the nervousness about regional instability that would
- 47:59Speaker 1: ensue didn't come to pass. In fact, it ended up
- 48:02Speaker 1: being an excellent decision to take out Qasem Soleimani. Similarly,
- 48:07Speaker 1: Operation Midnight Hammer, lots of concern about what would ensue
- 48:10Speaker 1: after that. Lots of, again, good faith concern that this
- 48:14Speaker 1: could blow up into some World War III event. It
- 48:18Speaker 1: didn't come to pass. In fact, it disabled the Iranian
- 48:21Speaker 1: nuclear program and set it back by years, ended up
- 48:24Speaker 1: being a success. So the president has a track record
- 48:27Speaker 1: of success here in Iran that is worth reflecting on
- 48:31Speaker 1: as you assess whether or not the future is going
- 48:34Speaker 1: to be bright. Well, so far, it has been. And
- 48:38Speaker 1: this comes down to the extent to which you should
- 48:40Speaker 1: place your trust in any leader in our government. As
- 48:43Speaker 1: far as I'm concerned, President Trump is the one who's
- 48:45Speaker 1: earned it. The guy who I keep voting for him
- 48:48Speaker 1: because he keeps delivering for me. And I've placed trust
- 48:52Speaker 1: in him. I really have. Now, lastly, on this kind
- 48:57Speaker 1: of the aftermath of this so far, it is important
- 49:00Speaker 1: for us to be on guard domestically. The FBI has
- 49:03Speaker 1: warned us that there are a lot of things we
- 49:06Speaker 1: need to keep an eye on right now. We're on
- 49:07Speaker 1: high alert. Kash Patel posted this weekend that FBI personnel
- 49:11Speaker 1: are engaged in the situation overseas. But obviously, There's concern
- 49:18Speaker 1: domestically about what happens.
- 49:20Speaker 3: Here.
- 49:20Speaker 1: He says, last night I instructed our counterterrorism and intelligence
- 49:23Speaker 1: teams to be on high alert and mobilize all assisting
- 49:26Speaker 1: security assets needed. Our JTTFs, those are joint terrorism task forces,
- 49:31Speaker 1: throughout the country are working 24-7, as always, to address
- 49:35Speaker 1: and disrupt any potential threats to the homeland. While the
- 49:38Speaker 1: military handles force protection overseas, the FBI remains at the
- 49:42Speaker 1: forefront of deterring attacks here at home. He says, if
- 49:45Speaker 1: you have any tips, any concerns, call 1-800-CALL-FBI, tips.fbi.gov. If
- 49:50Speaker 1: you see anything that seems suspicious and you want to
- 49:52Speaker 1: report it to law enforcement. That's Kash Patel's assessment on this. Now,
- 49:58Speaker 1: in Austin, Texas, this weekend, we did see what appears
- 50:02Speaker 1: to be a terror attack. It certainly was a terror
- 50:06Speaker 1: attack by a man wearing a Property of Allah hoodie
- 50:14Speaker 1: who conducted attacks in Austin, Texas on a bar. And
- 50:20Speaker 1: CBS has a photo of this goon. Take a look here.
- 50:26Speaker 1: Property of Allah, it says on the guy's sweatshirt, Property
- 50:30Speaker 1: of Allah. The suspected gunman who opened fire at this
- 50:34Speaker 1: bar in Austin, Texas early Sunday has been identified as
- 50:38Speaker 1: Diaga Diagne. They say he's a naturalized U.S. citizen from Senegal. Now,
- 50:44Speaker 1: if all of that is true, what that means is
- 50:46Speaker 1: he is a legal immigrant, presumably, if he's a naturalized U.S. citizen.
- 50:52Speaker 1: One could assume, one way or another, he either got
- 50:54Speaker 1: here illegally and the Obama administration made him a citizen,
- 50:57Speaker 1: or he got here legally and the Obama administration made
- 51:00Speaker 1: him a citizen. I don't care. This guy should not
- 51:02Speaker 1: have been in our country. His sweatshirt says property of Allah.
- 51:07Speaker 1: And we found out more. Not only does it say
- 51:09Speaker 1: property of Allah, apparently the guy was a big Iran enthusiast.
- 51:14Speaker 1: Bill Malusion with reporting here that the FBI is investigating
- 51:18Speaker 1: all of this as having a nexus to terrorism. He
- 51:21Speaker 1: was living in Pflugerville, Texas, and material recovered from his
- 51:25Speaker 1: person and vehicle give indications of a terrorism nexus per
- 51:29Speaker 1: multiple federal law enforcement sources. The mass shooter was wearing
- 51:33Speaker 1: clothing that had the words property of Allah on it.
- 51:36Speaker 1: He was possibly wearing an undershirt and a T-shirt that
- 51:38Speaker 1: had an Iranian flag or Iranian representations on it. CBS
- 51:45Speaker 1: reported that officials executed a search warrant at the man's
- 51:49Speaker 1: home on Sunday, and they found an Iranian flag and
- 51:52Speaker 1: pictures of Iranian leaders. So I don't know how much
- 51:56Speaker 1: more evidence you need that this guy conducted a terror attack. Now,
- 51:59Speaker 1: he was killed. in the attack. He was killed by authorities.
- 52:03Speaker 1: But again, he was wearing all of the relevant terrorism
- 52:08Speaker 1: merchandise as he conducted this attack. So head on a
- 52:12Speaker 1: swivel in the midst of all of this. That's obviously
- 52:15Speaker 1: a concern. And as always, prayers with every American who's
- 52:19Speaker 1: been affected by any of this. There's concern at the U.S.
- 52:22Speaker 1: Capitol as well. Chad Pergram at Fox reported that there
- 52:25Speaker 1: will be enhanced security measures at the United States Capitol.
- 52:29Speaker 1: that began this weekend, continuing into this week. The Senate
- 52:33Speaker 1: does meet today. The Senate does meet this afternoon. And
- 52:40Speaker 1: that's where I want to bring you to some of
- 52:42Speaker 1: the things that are going on in Congress right now
- 52:44Speaker 1: and the things to pay attention to. There were a
- 52:47Speaker 1: number of lawmakers who were, at the very least, feigning
- 52:51Speaker 1: outrage this weekend that there hasn't been a declaration of
- 52:56Speaker 1: war in Iran. This is for Congress. You're violating the law.
- 52:59Speaker 1: And in reality, the president is not actually violating the law.
- 53:05Speaker 1: The president is following the law. There is a piece
- 53:09Speaker 1: of legislation passed many years ago now called the War
- 53:12Speaker 1: Powers Act, the War Powers Act. And under the War
- 53:16Speaker 1: Powers Act, the president must notify Congress within 48 hours
- 53:19Speaker 1: of deploying troops, which they did. They told the gang
- 53:21Speaker 1: of eight ahead of the attack that this was occurring.
- 53:24Speaker 1: And the president then has the ability to keep the
- 53:27Speaker 1: troops deployed for 60 to 90 days unless Congress declares
- 53:32Speaker 1: war and then all bets are off. You can keep
- 53:34Speaker 1: going beyond that. So the president is following the letter
- 53:37Speaker 1: of the law here, actually. And if you're bitching about this,
- 53:42Speaker 1: I do want to remind people. that Biden and Obama
- 53:47Speaker 1: and Clinton have conducted numerous military strikes on countries all
- 53:53Speaker 1: around the planet without any congressional authorization. Bill Clinton bombed
- 53:58Speaker 1: Kosovo for 78 straight days without any authorization. congressional intervention
- 54:05Speaker 1: and did it by arguing that he could under the
- 54:08Speaker 1: War Powers Act. Obama not only ignored Congress, he also
- 54:12Speaker 1: ignored the War Powers Act, for that matter, because Obama
- 54:15Speaker 1: bombed Libya for seven straight months in 2011 without any
- 54:19Speaker 1: war resolution from Congress. Obama's view was completely extra-constitutional, unconstitutional.
- 54:25Speaker 1: His view was, well, I got a pen, I got
- 54:27Speaker 1: a phone, I can do whatever I want. Okay, that's
- 54:30Speaker 1: what Obama did. I mean, this is so common sense
- 54:33Speaker 1: that even John Fetterman is getting it right. Here's Fetterman
- 54:36Speaker 1: responding to how ridiculous some members of Congress are being
- 54:39Speaker 1: right now. Watch this.
- 54:40Speaker 6: People ever read the War Powers Act? You know, what's
- 54:45Speaker 6: what's required of the president is to provide 48 hours
- 54:49Speaker 6: of notification. And then he or she have 60 days
- 54:53Speaker 6: up to 90 days to withdraw those troops, you know,
- 54:57Speaker 6: before Congress approves that. Neither of those have been activated.
- 55:02Speaker 6: He did provide that to the Gang of Eight. And
- 55:06Speaker 6: there are no American troops on the ground now. This
- 55:09Speaker 6: was an incredibly, incredibly precise and successful strikes. And they
- 55:14Speaker 6: eliminated most of the leadership. So here we are. So yes,
- 55:19Speaker 6: I do support that. Why can't the entire world celebrate
- 55:24Speaker 6: that he's dead for what he's done to the world?
- 55:29Speaker 1: So John Fetterman is saying he's following the War Powers Act.
- 55:32Speaker 1: Do people even read anything? No, apparently it's just you, John,
- 55:35Speaker 1: in the Senate. Very, very few have. John Fetterman read
- 55:39Speaker 1: the War Powers Act and he goes, wait, the president's
- 55:41Speaker 1: following the law here. It's amazing. So what other business
- 55:46Speaker 1: does the Senate have to do right now? What other
- 55:47Speaker 1: business does Congress have? Well, let me tell you just
- 55:51Speaker 1: a quick, a couple of quick items. One, the Department
- 55:54Speaker 1: of Homeland Security remains partially funded. You realize DHS is
- 55:57Speaker 1: lacking a lot of funding. in order to pay the
- 56:00Speaker 1: men and women who are tasked with keeping the United
- 56:03Speaker 1: States safe right now. You know that? So are Democrats
- 56:07Speaker 1: continually DHS unfunded in the midst of concerns in the homeland?
- 56:11Speaker 1: We just saw a terror attack in Austin this weekend.
- 56:15Speaker 1: How about you get off your asses and you fund
- 56:17Speaker 1: the Department of Homeland Security? We don't need any vulnerabilities.
- 56:21Speaker 1: Stop creating new ones for us. Disgusting stuff. Another thing,
- 56:28Speaker 1: you know, on this program, This topic of Iran, I've
- 56:32Speaker 1: mentioned it a couple of times. We'll talk about it
- 56:34Speaker 1: from time to time, especially as it relates to the
- 56:36Speaker 1: president's efforts to kick out China's power cords. That's been
- 56:40Speaker 1: a very big deal to me, which we've talked about
- 56:42Speaker 1: quite a bit. But for the most part, this show
- 56:45Speaker 1: dwells primarily on things that are of immediate domestic concern
- 56:50Speaker 1: to us as much as possible. And that's why we've
- 56:52Speaker 1: pushed so hard in the months, since the fall, actually,
- 56:56Speaker 1: for the SAVE Act. We've been pushing for the SAVE Act,
- 56:58Speaker 1: now called the SAVE America Act. That push continues. I
- 57:02Speaker 1: want to warn you that Washington, whatever debates they're having
- 57:06Speaker 1: right now over what's going on in Iran, Washington is
- 57:09Speaker 1: going to attempt to use this as a way to
- 57:14Speaker 1: push the SAVE Act out of the news entirely. They
- 57:17Speaker 1: want to push your concern about America's elections out of
- 57:20Speaker 1: the way. They want you dwelling on war. They want
- 57:23Speaker 1: you dwelling on the debates around war. They want you
- 57:26Speaker 1: to dwell on what's happening in Iran or whether Trump
- 57:28Speaker 1: deserves to be impeached or whether he deserves to have
- 57:31Speaker 1: a statue made because he did something great here. They
- 57:33Speaker 1: want you to not focus on something that is of
- 57:37Speaker 1: pressing concern to the American people, making sure our elections
- 57:42Speaker 1: are credible and well-run. We need the Save America Act. Now,
- 57:48Speaker 1: to the credit of Mike Lee, Mike Lee, he came
- 57:53Speaker 1: out last night and he's staying on this. I keep
- 57:56Speaker 1: saying this. He said, no excuses, time to act, time
- 58:01Speaker 1: to pass, save America. Going into this weekend, the pressure
- 58:06Speaker 1: was on, on these United States senators to use the
- 58:09Speaker 1: speaking filibuster to achieve this. That pressure should not fade.
- 58:15Speaker 1: Keep the pressure on. Obviously, a lot of news broke
- 58:19Speaker 1: this weekend on Iran. Of course, we would dwell on
- 58:21Speaker 1: it as we talk about this. We lose American lives.
- 58:24Speaker 1: This is a very, very important story. But I don't
- 58:28Speaker 1: want to diminish the importance of the Save America Act
- 58:32Speaker 1: and how much we need to focus on this and
- 58:34Speaker 1: how much Washington is hoping you don't. So let's stay
- 58:38Speaker 1: on that. Got a lot of other big stories to
- 58:40Speaker 1: get to. We'll do more of it today on the
- 58:41Speaker 1: Big National Radio Show, including that now 39 people have
- 58:46Speaker 1: all been charged. Almost all of them so far have
- 58:48Speaker 1: been arrested. Some of them are overseas. We literally had
- 58:50Speaker 1: to go overseas to arrest them after the storming of
- 58:53Speaker 1: that Christian church in Minnesota. The Trump administration didn't give
- 58:58Speaker 1: that up at all. They stayed all over that. It's
- 59:00Speaker 1: a massive, massive story. I've got the details coming up
- 59:02Speaker 1: on The Vince Show today. If you want your local listings,
