- 0:27the world, oh, we're talking about it.
- 0:29So let's go, let's go But today I got a little special, special As I'm recording
- 0:34this It is my birthday, let's go Happy birthday to you Happy birthday to me, right?
- 0:43But anyways, that's fine All great and dandy But at the same time,
- 0:46here in the United States Oh, let's just say, in the U.S.
- 0:50As I'm recording this I'm traveling out of the U.S.
- 0:54Continental So I'm just doing my thing Whatever the case might be But listening
- 0:59to my voice, hopefully, hopefully will bring that energy.

- 1:25You gotta go out there, subscribe, do your little thing on that network You
- 1:30can hit me on Spotify, Apple, all that good stuff And now as I'm recording this
- 1:34I'm doing a little bit of a special Thanksgiving thing, you know what I mean?
- 1:39I think Thanksgiving is one of those days here in the United States That is
- 1:44cover and it has sometimes a little bit of, you know, controversy behind it
- 1:48But I have if, if, and I'm not gonna say if.
- 1:53But history has shown, the history of humans have shown that there's always a time dependent.
- 2:01I'm not even going to say dependent. A lot of cultures, whether it's in Europe, South America,
- 2:07Native, Indigenous, Christians, Muslims, my understanding is that even in the United States,
- 2:14there is always a time where people do
- 2:17celebrate something that is similar or at
- 2:20least assimilate where you are taking time to
- 2:23think or at least thank the harvest
- 2:26time the things that you have done basically they
- 2:30take time where a lot of people again in
- 2:33different cultures different country there are those who
- 2:36have the means to help those who don't have and sometimes those who don't have
- 2:42there's a lot of circumstances and I and I want to bring this up because again
- 2:47these are things that I've aborted throughout my podcast is that there are times
- 2:52as humans, as we live in this world,
- 2:55we want to be grateful for what we have, but we also want to share and help
- 2:59those brothers and sisters out there and those in between that you want to help.
- 3:04You want to do your thing. You want to do your part.
- 3:07But sadly, sometimes it's the circumstances. You know what I mean?
- 3:11Sometimes we as humans, whether we live in a park, whether it's a recent earthquake,
- 3:16flood, something to that effect, something that's out of our circumstance.
- 3:20That's always been what life is.
- 3:23Now, again, I'm going to emphasize that sometimes in United States,
- 3:27there are things that are out of our circumstances and what happens that we
- 3:32kind of fall back. We get a little bit depressed.
- 3:35Then when it comes to depressed, I always said it leads to procrastination.
- 3:39It's always have been known, especially lately as more people are beginning
- 3:45or at least understanding any more of the brain because that brain,
- 3:48how that works, man, we out there. We just touching the surface.
- 3:54Yes, as we touch in that brain, we still sometimes think like,
- 4:00oh, when we are complacent or sometimes when we procrastinate,
- 4:04that's just us being lazy.
- 4:06No, it's always a form of depression. Sometimes you're always going to remember
- 4:09when you stop doing things in your life, that's going to help you because of
- 4:15whatever circumstance.
- 4:16Always remember, there's always something going on in your life.
- 4:19You're going to notice that.
- 4:20You know, it's very rare that when people stop doing something Just because
- 4:26they have the luxury to not do something Which a lot of people cannot afford
- 4:30That's one of the things where it has more value than money Is that, you know,
- 4:37thing of we always got to do something Whether it's our family, whatever, friends,
- 4:42All that in between, you already know your job, your vocation, whatever you do.
- 4:47But in this episode, we're talking about Thanksgiving, and we're talking about
- 4:52in the sense of giving thanks.
- 4:54Not only that, when you wake up, I always said, be grateful.
- 4:58Always remind yourself.
- 4:59You're going to think of 100 things, and 99 of those 100 is going to be bad.
- 5:04It only takes that one thing for you to say, oof, let me get up. Give thanks.
- 5:09We're making it happen. We're breathing. We're doing a lot of stuff. We're walking.
- 5:13Whatever it is, whatever is going on, there's a lot of people that have circumstances that,
- 5:17unfortunately they won't be able to walk they won't
- 5:20be able to stand out they won't be able to do this do that but i've
- 5:23come across that there are people that are limited whether it's physically mentally
- 5:26or whatever they find a way you know what i'm saying they find a way and everybody's
- 5:31different everybody's different you know i'm not that type of person that if
- 5:36this person can do it you could do it everybody's different because it comes
- 5:39down to that mental thing and it comes down to what you believe.
- 5:43It comes down to that discipline.
- 5:45So you're going to grab things and you're going to say you're going to start
- 5:48by thanking the things that you have.
- 5:50And if you don't have much, just remember that you're still going to wake up
- 5:55as you're listening to this.
- 5:57You got to say thanks to something. And that's yourself.
- 6:01You're alive, well, kicking, ready to do something crazy.
- 6:06When you're alive, you know, wanting to wake up doing something, then we're here.
- 6:11Let's You know, give yourself a round of applause for the fact that as you listen
- 6:17in today's, you say to yourself, hey, I am alive. Let's go.
- 6:21You know what to do with that power now that you are beginning to realize,
- 6:25oh man, I'm here. I'm grateful to be alive.
- 6:27Well, and kick it. What are you going to do?
- 6:31What's in your What's in your pocket You got no change You don't hear no change
- 6:36You don't hear nothing What's in your bank account Okay things are rough I hear
- 6:40you Are you working Not working You got laid off Because the AI Whatever the
- 6:44case might be What are you going to do And what are you going to do To give,
- 6:50And that's one of the things In life Once again as humans As humans And listen
- 6:55I tell people Maybe this is outside of the realm Of deconstructing type podcast
- 7:00but I ain't gonna be naive about things.
- 7:03We'll be part of this goddamn universe.
- 7:06I'm over here recording, looking at the sky. The sky is looking clear.
- 7:09It's looking beautiful in this morning.
- 7:12And within the next 10 seconds, it's a spaceship coming out like,
- 7:15what the hell you came from?
- 7:17Mother, yo, what? I'm just saying, I'm not going to try to be naive here.
- 7:22Stuff could happen beyond our realm of what it is.
- 7:27So in other words, time is ticking. We don't know.
- 7:31Tomorrow's not guaranteed. We don't know what the hell is going to come and gobble this earth.
- 7:37Whether this human is going to destroy this earth or something more powerful
- 7:40that's out there. I ain't going to be naive about that. You know what I'm saying?
- 7:44I'm not going to be naive. You understand? I'm not going to be ignorant about,
- 7:47hey, listen, we don't know.
- 7:49Well, David, you know, is there any proof it doesn't matter?
- 7:53The whole point is that, hey, listen, we can never put our guards down.
- 7:57And that's the whole thing about giving.
- 7:59You know what I'm saying? That's the whole thing about doing something.
- 8:02That's the whole thing of, ah, man, I'm down.
- 8:05But, hey, listen, there's a battle out there for you to do.
- 8:08Gather the troops. Gather everybody at the table. Do something.
- 8:12And do this I'm telling you Us
- 8:16humans gotta rise above whatever it is Because going back to what I'm saying
- 8:20Us as humans we only have each other And at the end of the day There are stuff
- 8:26we still here in this earth We still here in the grounds of Mother Nature When
- 8:31Mother Nature gets angry You already know That's one crazy thing,
- 8:36be. And she doesn't care. She doesn't take names because if we do harm to this
- 8:42beautiful, beautiful world, you know, harm is going to come to the door like, hello.
- 8:50You know what I'm saying? It's a flood. It's an earthquake.
- 8:53It's a lot of things. It's a snowstorm. It's a blizzard.
- 8:56It's a northeaster, southeastern, whatever
- 8:59Easter, that's an Easter that's underwinter. You know what I mean?
- 9:04And that's where we at with that situation.
- 9:06We want to grab the word thanks and we're going to say, give it.
- 9:09Some people are going to be like, oh, you know, I don't celebrate Thanksgiving
- 9:12with the turkey. That's fine.
- 9:14Remember, Turkey, the food is a symbol.
- 9:18Now, I want you to keep in mind, now, here in the United States,
- 9:21just to give you a little brief history,
- 9:23is that even prior to the individuals that came from another continent called
- 9:30Europe, to this western side of this world where it had no name, I believe,
- 9:36different natives that had, you know, Seminole, Cherokees,
- 9:40Pequots, all these, you know what I mean?
- 9:42Especially the Pequots up in the northeast.
- 9:45But the fact that these individuals came in and they noticed how these people
- 9:50during harvest time, which is the fall, which is the autumn,
- 9:53it's what we call September, October, November, December, favorite time of the year, my favorite time.
- 9:58Because it feels that there's a good crops that are growing,
- 10:01the pumpkins, the squashes, all that good stuff.
- 10:05They saw these individuals and I'm like, wait a minute, you guys party more
- 10:09than us. We over here, like, we only party once a week on Sundays,
- 10:13even sometimes, whatever, depending. You know what I mean?
- 10:16Oh, you guys party all the time. Party all the time. Party all the time. Woo!
- 10:21But the fact is that even then, those natives, I know that there are those natives.
- 10:26And I call them natives because they were in this land before.
- 10:29I don't want to call them, sometimes I can call them native Indians.
- 10:33Definitely not going to call them native American for some reason. You know what I mean?
- 10:36Wink, wink. I'm just saying the fact that there were some type of celebration
- 10:40during the harvest where everybody got together,
- 10:43everybody put their spirits down, everybody got there and put their rocks down,
- 10:48everybody put their pistols down and let's freaking eat.
- 10:52Let's get fooled. Let's share the concept of what they call a potluck in the
- 10:58United States, where people at work or even people who throw party,
- 11:02everybody bring a dish, bring something.
- 11:04The cookies, the turkey, whatever the case might be. The bears, the reindeers.
- 11:09What they used to eat back then, it was something a little bit different than
- 11:12the many that we got now, you know.
- 11:14I already said, hey, listen, Thanksgiving got co-opted by, you know.
- 11:20Certain people from certain parts of this world.
- 11:22You know what I mean? But we're not going to get there. Because this podcast,
- 11:26this episode is all about something about giving. Something about giving thanks.
- 11:30Trust me. Even if you don't want to do the celebration of what that symbol is,
- 11:38corporate symbol, you cannot ignore the fact that you cannot take time to do
- 11:44thanks and you could do giving.
- 11:46You know what I'm saying? And the fact that I know that in the Muslim,
- 11:52there's a, one of the holidays, Il Fattah,
- 11:55and it's one of those things that it has the similarity where people kind of
- 12:00get together, they eat, they help, they do sometimes collect clothes for those
- 12:05who are in need in their communities.
- 12:08And I'm just saying I want people to, as they listen to this Don't be like, hey You know, okay,
- 12:15I'm gonna say Well, the white man, you know, did this And I'm like,
- 12:18yo, if you look at the history Of humanity, depending on what culture There's
- 12:23a lot of people that celebrate something.
- 12:27And if you want to go there, what, the Aztecs, you know, little crazy stuff.
- 12:31You already know my people, the Aztecs over there.
- 12:34There's some crazy stuff. But hey, who are us to judge if that's what their thing was?
- 12:42Whatever it is that they're celebrating. You know what I mean?
- 12:45Hey, maybe I would have been celebrating with them like, hey,
- 12:48okay, what are you doing with that body? Okay, okay, all right. I see what you're doing.
- 12:53I hate to sound a little bit morbid But what I want people to understand Is
- 12:57that there's a lot of cultures and traditions That have actually been around
- 13:01this world for a long time And it gets co-opted So let's end up with that Once again,
- 13:08give that little thanks Give that little giving Do something crazy Whatever
- 13:12you want to do Eat, whatever it is A cupcake,
- 13:17a Twinkie stuffed turkey,
- 13:19Hey, I tend to like to eat the lambs in the in the Thanksgiving.
- 13:24That's just me. You know, I love my lamb.
- 13:26Let's go. That's just me.
- 13:30But I always remember I always give thanks and always sometimes sometimes.
- 13:36Sometimes, I like to use this time of harvest to reset myself as well.
- 13:42And I don't, you know, sometimes if you want to do the New Year's thing, you already know.
- 13:46Because sometimes what it is that you're harvesting, not just food,
- 13:51but you're also harvesting your soul, your mind, your body. You know what I mean?
- 13:56This is the time that sometimes, I cannot say, even our tradition,
- 14:01not even our tradition, But the fact that sometimes we are living in a world
- 14:05where we turn to consumers because holiday's coming, Christmas is coming,
- 14:09you know what I'm saying?
- 14:11And we put a lot of pressure on ourselves, and then that's when our bodies start
- 14:15to kind of like, ah, the cooking, the gifting, the do, the boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.
- 14:20Loneliness, stress, work, boom, boom, boom, all that good stuff.
- 14:26Take this time. Take this time because, once again, I did say thanks, and I say giving.
- 14:31But make this time for you to give thanks and for you to give that gift of resetting
- 14:37your soul, your body, your heart, your mind.
- 14:42Let's effing go. Well, I hope you enjoyed this little night's podcast.
