- 0:00Speaker 1: This is The Eds with Eddie Judge and Edwin Aroyavi.
- 0:05Speaker 2: The husbands know best a too cheese production.
- 0:08Speaker 1: All right, So because it's wedding season, it's time to
- 0:13Speaker 1: talk a little bit about what the guys think about,
- 0:16Speaker 1: you know, weddings and anniversaries. And you know, we talked
- 0:19Speaker 1: about my televice proposal and wedding experience with my wife
- 0:23Speaker 1: on TV, which is an amazing experience. And we touched
- 0:26Speaker 1: a little bit about you getting married in Paris. But
- 0:29Speaker 1: I'd like to learn a little bit more about your
- 0:32Speaker 1: journey to Paris and did you ask John for permission
- 0:37Speaker 1: to get married for her hand? And how did you
- 0:40Speaker 1: propose to her? And what was tell me all about
- 0:42Speaker 1: the wedding in Paris. That sounds like an amazing experience. Yeah,
- 0:46Speaker 1: But the funny thing is I was always afraid of
- 0:48Speaker 1: getting married. That was actually one of my biggest fears.
- 0:51Speaker 1: And it was because at least sixty or seventy percent
- 0:54Speaker 1: of my friends that got married were getting a divorce, right,
- 0:58Speaker 1: and I was just trying to.
- 1:00Speaker 2: In my head, maybe I'd get married at like forty
- 1:04Speaker 2: five or something like that. Anyway, Teddy and I get
- 1:07Speaker 2: pretty serious, and you know, the talk comes up of
- 1:12Speaker 2: should we get married, should we not? And I remember
- 1:16Speaker 2: thinking to myself at the time. I told Teddy, I'm like, look,
- 1:21Speaker 2: I do want to get married, but like I take
- 1:25Speaker 2: care of my entire family, like I've been taking care
- 1:27Speaker 2: of my family since I was fifteen. I'm like, what
- 1:31Speaker 2: if you wake up five years from now and you
- 1:36Speaker 2: don't want to be married to me? Like now, I
- 1:37Speaker 2: got to give you half my stuff, And I said,
- 1:41Speaker 2: I don't have John Mellencamp money yet. And you know,
- 1:44Speaker 2: John could afford to get divorced for three, three four
- 1:48Speaker 2: different times. I'm like, I can't if I get divorced
- 1:51Speaker 2: one time, I'm losing half my stuff. I got to
- 1:53Speaker 2: take care of my mom. Blah blah blah. So she's like,
- 1:56Speaker 2: I don't care about your money, and I'm like, all right, answer,
- 2:01Speaker 2: And so that put me a little more at peace,
- 2:03Speaker 2: and she's just like, don't touch my money. It's like, mho,
- 2:07Speaker 2: we got we got a deal. But I was still
- 2:10Speaker 2: freaking out, and I remember going back and forth and
- 2:13Speaker 2: finally I told her, look, I can't marry. I'm just
- 2:18Speaker 2: I can't. And you know, I remember it was a
- 2:22Speaker 2: tough night that night because she cried. I cried, I'm
- 2:25Speaker 2: just like I can't do it. And the next day
- 2:29Speaker 2: I'm driving and I thought to myself, what am I
- 2:32Speaker 2: so scared of? Like I've always been sort of a
- 2:35Speaker 2: risk taker, and why am I so afraid on this?
- 2:40Speaker 2: And I already know I want to marry her? Like
- 2:42Speaker 2: what am I trying to? Why am I waiting? And
- 2:46Speaker 2: there was this start in my head though that was like, Okay,
- 2:49Speaker 2: well maybe if I buy the rank, I could buy
- 2:51Speaker 2: myself some time and you know, maybe we'll get married
- 2:55Speaker 2: two years after. But screw it, I'm by the ranks.
- 2:59Speaker 2: I went, I bought the ring and I called John
- 3:05Speaker 2: and I just basically said, hey, John, I want to
- 3:07Speaker 2: marry your daughter and I think she's the best thing
- 3:09Speaker 2: that's ever happened to me, and I'm going to take
- 3:14Speaker 2: care of her and you got my word that I'm
- 3:17Speaker 2: going to be the best husband possible. And he was
- 3:21Speaker 2: he was like, yeah, you know, I if that's what
- 3:24Speaker 2: you guys want to do. I fully supported, and then
- 3:28Speaker 2: I ended up proposing to her. I bought her a nice,
- 3:30Speaker 2: I think Gucci jacket, and I put the ring in
- 3:34Speaker 2: the jacket and I proposed in front of my entire
- 3:38Speaker 2: family when we were living out in Woodland Hills. It's
- 3:42Speaker 2: a special moment. But then then we don't have a date.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Right in my head, I'm thinking the date's going to
- 3:48Speaker 2: be two years later, right, And that buys me a
- 3:50Speaker 2: little time again because I'm just it was a me thing.
- 3:53Speaker 2: It wasn't a Teddy thing.
- 3:54Speaker 1: I was just scared, right.
- 3:57Speaker 2: And then of course we go around and you know,
- 4:00Speaker 2: everybody's congratulating us on the engagement, but what do you think?
- 4:04Speaker 2: The first question is when you get engaged, when's doa
- 4:08Speaker 2: any and our answer was we don't know. So then
- 4:13Speaker 2: Teddy's like, you know, I feel really stupid that we
- 4:16Speaker 2: don't have a date. I'm like, oh, here we go,
- 4:20Speaker 2: so we still don't have a date. Anyway. Six months later,
- 4:24Speaker 2: we're about to her dad's going on a tour in Europe,
- 4:29Speaker 2: and Teddy's like, you know what, why don't we get
- 4:33Speaker 2: married in Paris. My dad's going to be touring, it's
- 4:36Speaker 2: fourth to July is going to be in Paris. We
- 4:38Speaker 2: can just get married fourth to July. And then my
- 4:41Speaker 2: dream was always if I ever did have a wedding,
- 4:44Speaker 2: I'd have it. I'd have what do you call those
- 4:47Speaker 2: weddings when you fly out and get away wedding and where, yeah, where,
- 4:53Speaker 2: It's just a few of us, and I don't have
- 4:55Speaker 2: to worry about who I invited, who I didn't invite.
- 4:58Speaker 2: I just kind of wanted to do it quick. You
- 5:00Speaker 2: have twenty close people. And that's exactly what ended up happening.
- 5:05Speaker 2: And we took off to Paris, but two weeks prior
- 5:08Speaker 2: to leaving. I mean, this is how freaked out I was.
- 5:13Speaker 2: I wake up in the middle of the night and
- 5:16Speaker 2: I can't move my entire left side of my body,
- 5:20Speaker 2: like I'm thinking I'm having it and I'm probably in
- 5:22Speaker 2: one of the best shapes in my life. And it
- 5:26Speaker 2: must have been at least a minute to two minutes.
- 5:29Speaker 2: I couldn't move the entire left side of my body,
- 5:31Speaker 2: and I felt like I was having a heart attack.
- 5:34Speaker 2: And I remember saying, like, God, don't let me go
- 5:36Speaker 2: out like this. And I'm trying to wake up Teddy,
- 5:37Speaker 2: but I can't talk. It's just it's weird. I can't move,
- 5:42Speaker 2: so I go to the hospital. I spent the entire
- 5:45Speaker 2: day in that hospital. I had to wear a heart
- 5:48Speaker 2: monitor for an entire week just to find out what
- 5:52Speaker 2: was wrong. With my heart because my whole left arm
- 5:54Speaker 2: went numb. Well it was eight days. So I did
- 5:58Speaker 2: that for an entire week, and it turns out I
- 6:01Speaker 2: had a panic attack. I've never I've never had that
- 6:05Speaker 2: in my life, and I've dealt with a lot of
- 6:08Speaker 2: stressful situations. By the way, that's never ever happened to me,
- 6:12Speaker 2: and God will it will never happen to me again.
- 6:15Speaker 2: But that's how freaked out I was. And Teddy's like,
- 6:19Speaker 2: maybe we shouldn't fled, Like, no, we're going to get married.
- 6:21Speaker 2: So then cut to we're in Paris and we're having
- 6:26Speaker 2: a great time. We're about to get married, and you
- 6:31Speaker 2: know the part, I can't make this up. I put
- 6:34Speaker 2: this on everything. I had, put my alarm back then
- 6:38Speaker 2: I used to wake up at six am. Well six
- 6:39Speaker 2: am is two pm in Paris, right, so we're about
- 6:44Speaker 2: to get married. We walk out and the eye blah
- 6:46Speaker 2: blah blah. It's really nice. We were on top of
- 6:49Speaker 2: some roof at some hotel and so we're looking the
- 6:52Speaker 2: Eiffel Tower. So we took these beautiful pictures. I got
- 6:55Speaker 2: to fly out my family, so my siblings, my mom
- 6:59Speaker 2: came out. They'd never been Europe, so it was just
- 7:01Speaker 2: perfect right. And who organized it all? I mean Eddy
- 7:07Speaker 2: ed he found someone in Paris and they did just
- 7:10Speaker 2: a great job just organizing the entire thing. It's funny
- 7:14Speaker 2: my mom, who doesn't speak Spanish, I mean doesn't speak English.
- 7:18Speaker 2: My mama doesn't speak a lick of English, is hanging
- 7:21Speaker 2: out with Meg Ryan and they're talking. My sister's like
- 7:24Speaker 2: hanging out with her. I remember, I remember we used
- 7:26Speaker 2: to watch your movies and like, oh, shoot, now my
- 7:28Speaker 2: mom's talking to Meg Ryan. I'm like, that's that's pretty cool, right. Anyway,
- 7:34Speaker 2: you know the part when you're getting married and they say,
- 7:37Speaker 2: if anybody of Jack's or whatever that's whatever that phrase is,
- 7:41Speaker 2: I kid you not. As he's saying that, myles, I'm
- 7:45Speaker 2: about to start crying, and I'm like, I did not
- 7:48Speaker 2: want to cry at my wedding, but I'm feeling I'm like, damn,
- 7:51Speaker 2: I'm gonna start crying like crazy right now. And he says,
- 7:55Speaker 2: does anybody of Jack blah blah blah. My alarm goes
- 7:59Speaker 2: off and in my head, I'm thinking, is this guy
- 8:05Speaker 2: telling me not to get married? So there's this picture
- 8:09Speaker 2: of Teddy and I and we're just dying of like,
- 8:12Speaker 2: we just started immediately laughing because when my alarm went off,
- 8:16Speaker 2: John's like, you gotta be shitting mate, We just started laughing. Anyway,
- 8:23Speaker 2: we end up getting married and we had a blast.
- 8:28Speaker 2: My family had a blast. Some of the best pictures
- 8:30Speaker 2: we've ever taken were there and it's a special moment.
- 8:33Speaker 1: How many people were there?
- 8:35Speaker 2: Twenty of us, so it was Teddy's immediate family and
- 8:39Speaker 2: then it was my immediate family, so there's probably eighteen
- 8:42Speaker 2: twenty people there. And then our honeymoon was basically going
- 8:46Speaker 2: around with John all over Europe while he was touring.
- 8:50Speaker 1: How long was that?
- 8:51Speaker 2: It's probably a good ten day. So when we went
- 8:54Speaker 2: to Germany, we went to Milan, we went to Florin,
- 9:00Speaker 2: we went to England. Where else should we go? We
- 9:04Speaker 2: went to a bunch of places where he was touring.
- 9:06Speaker 2: It was cool because everywhere we went we got the
- 9:08Speaker 2: red carpet treatment.
- 9:09Speaker 1: So wow, what is awesome experience? Yeah, yep, but.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Art monitor and my alarm went off, and it's worked
- 9:20Speaker 2: out so far. It's gonna be fifteenth. This will be
- 9:23Speaker 2: our fifteenth year together and it's thirteen years married in
- 9:31Speaker 2: our anniversaries fourth of July, so it's kind of hard
- 9:34Speaker 2: to forget that one. Yeah.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Yeah, So you get to celebrate for the July and
- 9:39Speaker 1: your anniversary every year.
- 9:41Speaker 2: And then her birthday is on the first, so you
- 9:44Speaker 2: got the first and the fourth.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Oh my gosh.
- 9:47Speaker 2: So I kind of get away with just an entire
- 9:50Speaker 2: weekend whether and just you know, yeah, and it's fireworks
- 9:54Speaker 2: every year. It's fir Secret year. Exactly. That's fantastic.
- 9:59Speaker 1: That's gonna be a hard one not to forget, you know,
- 10:01Speaker 1: it's for the July, come on, yeah, exactly, and it's
- 10:05Speaker 1: Independence Day.
- 10:06Speaker 2: I can't believe how fast it goes, though. How long
- 10:09Speaker 2: have you guys been together?
- 10:10Speaker 1: By the way, we have been together thirteen years married,
- 10:13Speaker 1: ten And I always whenever somebody asked me that questions,
- 10:18Speaker 1: I always realized that these last not just ten years married,
- 10:23Speaker 1: but that the whole thirteen years have gone by so
- 10:27Speaker 1: freaking fast, like almost like I feel like I just
- 10:31Speaker 1: met her last year and we're still just trying to
- 10:33Speaker 1: figure out, you know, what are we going to do
- 10:35Speaker 1: with our life together? Right, But there's been so much
- 10:38Speaker 1: that's happened, and I think big part of it is
- 10:42Speaker 1: because she's been on TV for so long. Yeah, we've
- 10:46Speaker 1: lived this crazy world wind of life where we're walking
- 10:51Speaker 1: red carpets, we're attending, you know, high level events, we're
- 10:56Speaker 1: invited to these great VIP experiences, you know, traveling. I
- 11:02Speaker 1: was traveling a lot when I first met her, and
- 11:05Speaker 1: I just take her on my trips to you know, Brazil, Europe,
- 11:13Speaker 1: anywhere in the world that I could go, I would
- 11:15Speaker 1: take her with me. And I think that's one of
- 11:18Speaker 1: the things that we missed mostly about, you know, since
- 11:21Speaker 1: since COVID and COVID shutting down the world, we missed
- 11:25Speaker 1: traveling that much like we used to. But that's that
- 11:29Speaker 1: was one of the things that just made our life.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Just our relationships just go by so fast. You know,
- 11:34Speaker 1: how long were you guys together before you decided to
- 11:37Speaker 1: ask her to marry you?
- 11:39Speaker 2: Three years? Three years?
- 11:40Speaker 1: So, like I said, we met and it was probably
- 11:44Speaker 1: about a month after she left her ex and moved
- 11:48Speaker 1: down on Rome that we started dating. And it was fun.
- 11:52Speaker 1: It was just never never thought I would be marrying her,
- 11:55Speaker 1: you know. It was just such a chemistry between us
- 11:59Speaker 1: and easy talking and and just time spent together was
- 12:05Speaker 1: so nice and relaxing, and everything just kind of made
- 12:09Speaker 1: sense when we took it's little by little, one step
- 12:12Speaker 1: at a time where she moved out, she stabilized her herself,
- 12:16Speaker 1: and then she stabilized her kids, you know, going through
- 12:19Speaker 1: the whole divorce. It's just it was a nightmare, right,
- 12:21Speaker 1: And she lived on her own for a couple of years.
- 12:24Speaker 1: I think before we started talking about marriage, and if
- 12:28Speaker 1: you remember, we were talking about just having a little
- 12:31Speaker 1: beach wedding with a few people, and then producers found
- 12:34Speaker 1: out and we ended up having this giant, enormous wedding,
- 12:38Speaker 1: which I don't regret at all. It was an incredible wedding.
- 12:41Speaker 1: But then she moved in, and you know, well before
- 12:45Speaker 1: she moved in, she her her son, her oldest son,
- 12:49Speaker 1: had a pitbull named Bronx that you know, needed a
- 12:52Speaker 1: home because he was moving into an apartment. And I
- 12:54Speaker 1: had just bought this house here in Ladera, and you know,
- 12:57Speaker 1: being single and living in this and I decked it
- 13:01Speaker 1: out with you know, darkwood floors and you know, the
- 13:04Speaker 1: brand new house. So I was all really proud of it.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Nothing was out of place, and I was real anal
- 13:08Speaker 1: at the time. And she says, hey, have a dog.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Can you have a dog, because you know we're going
- 13:13Speaker 1: to need a dog for Spencer. When when he moves
- 13:15Speaker 1: in with us, you know, or moves into the house,
- 13:18Speaker 1: I'm like, okay, but he's going to be an outdoor dog.
- 13:20Speaker 1: He's not going to be inside. And sure enough, it
- 13:23Speaker 1: took about a week before I fell in love with
- 13:25Speaker 1: the dog, and I think I slept with them one time,
- 13:28Speaker 1: and I'm like, yeah, no, I can't sleep with the dog.
- 13:31Speaker 2: Forget it.
- 13:31Speaker 1: You know, I love you, but you're gonna have to
- 13:33Speaker 1: sleep downstairs or in your cage. And he ended up
- 13:36Speaker 1: ruling the house and ruining my floors and ruining the backyard.
- 13:40Speaker 1: But he brought so much love and so much stability
- 13:43Speaker 1: to the family, particularly because he was he became basically
- 13:48Speaker 1: Spencer's dog. He slept with Spencer the entire time that
- 13:52Speaker 1: he was with us, and he was just an amazing dog.
- 13:55Speaker 1: But that was probably our biggest connection with between me
- 13:58Speaker 1: and the kids, was that dog, right, that dog that
- 14:01Speaker 1: just you know, brought us together and made us a family.
- 14:05Speaker 1: It was a it was a smooth but rough transition
- 14:08Speaker 1: because the divorce was just an ugly divorce. The guy
- 14:11Speaker 1: was really using the kids to try to get to
- 14:14Speaker 1: Tamra and he didn't give a shit about their mental
- 14:18Speaker 1: health or you know what the effects were going to
- 14:20Speaker 1: be on them. So it was really hard on the
- 14:24Speaker 1: kids because of that. Otherwise, you know, it could have
- 14:27Speaker 1: been easy. He could have gone his way. She obviously
- 14:29Speaker 1: was happy in her relationship, and the kids would have
- 14:31Speaker 1: been great and they would have got it. But it
- 14:34Speaker 1: was such an ugly public divorce that I really didn't
- 14:38Speaker 1: even see. We both didn't really see ourselves getting married
- 14:42Speaker 1: because it was such an ugly public divorce. You know,
- 14:44Speaker 1: it just didn't really makes sense to do that. And
- 14:47Speaker 1: that's probably the biggest reasons why we wanted to just
- 14:50Speaker 1: have a small little wedding without announcing it to the world.
- 14:54Speaker 1: You know, our lives are already on a platform and
- 14:57Speaker 1: everything is out there that she does, and she doesn't
- 15:00Speaker 1: hold back, as you know, she just puts it all
- 15:02Speaker 1: out there, and I'm like, there's got to be some
- 15:05Speaker 1: sort of you know, privacy here.
- 15:08Speaker 2: By the way, did you guys do uh prenup or
- 15:11Speaker 2: no prenup?
- 15:12Speaker 1: We did not do a prenup. You know, it just
- 15:15Speaker 1: it didn't make any sense, and I think from our
- 15:19Speaker 1: generation it didn't. It was it was a negative connotation
- 15:24Speaker 1: to have a prenup. Right. It was like, well, if
- 15:25Speaker 1: you don't trust me, I don't trust you. And it
- 15:27Speaker 1: was one of those things like plus, I mean, I
- 15:30Speaker 1: didn't have a lot. I had a house, I had
- 15:32Speaker 1: a career, and you know I had money in the bank,
- 15:34Speaker 1: but I didn't have I wasn't wealthy, so it didn't
- 15:38Speaker 1: matter to me. And of course she was on a
- 15:40Speaker 1: show and she's on her way to making a lot
- 15:43Speaker 1: of money. But she said, no, I don't. I don't
- 15:45Speaker 1: think this is something that applies to us. So, yeah,
- 15:49Speaker 1: you know, we had a prenup.
- 15:50Speaker 2: I was going to ask you that, you know. So
- 15:53Speaker 2: that was the whole That was the whole conversation. That's
- 15:55Speaker 2: that's when I go, all right, I'm in. And I said, look,
- 15:57Speaker 2: if we do a prenup, we're good. And I won't
- 16:01Speaker 2: get any of your money. You know, whatever John leaves you,
- 16:04Speaker 2: you don't touch any of my money. And but the
- 16:07Speaker 2: funny part is, you know, now we've been married over
- 16:09Speaker 2: ten years. She always reminds me that, I guess after
- 16:12Speaker 2: you've been married for ten years that preenam goes away.
- 16:16Speaker 2: And it's so funny because the prenum was a very
- 16:19Speaker 2: aggressive one and like just freaked out. But it also,
- 16:25Speaker 2: I guess, showed me that she didn't really care about it.
- 16:28Speaker 2: And obviously she's got her own money, right, so she
- 16:30Speaker 2: doesn't really care. But that was kind of a big
- 16:32Speaker 2: deal for me that she would. And yeah, she reminds
- 16:37Speaker 2: me all the time. You know, it's it's over ten years.
- 16:39Speaker 2: I could take all your shit if I want, so,
- 16:43Speaker 2: she likes to remind me. It's a California law, which
- 16:47Speaker 2: I haven't even checked it, but apparently it is. So yeah,
- 16:50Speaker 2: that thing went by.
- 16:51Speaker 1: By from my understanding, and I don't know how the
- 16:54Speaker 1: prenums work. I assumed it was kind of an iron
- 16:57Speaker 1: clad log like, hey, this is I keep what I
- 17:00Speaker 1: have at the time of the marriage, and you keep
- 17:02Speaker 1: what you have at the time of our marriage. And
- 17:05Speaker 1: then you add in some things like if you know.
- 17:08Speaker 2: You forgot you were you were in law before.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Yeah, so if you inherit, you know, money from your
- 17:13Speaker 1: family you added into the prenup that you get to
- 17:16Speaker 1: keep it. And obviously I don't know if you had
- 17:18Speaker 1: any inheritance coming to you, but whatever you had at
- 17:21Speaker 1: the time is going to be yours when you got married.
- 17:25Speaker 1: And that's like I said, I all I had was
- 17:27Speaker 1: a house in a you know, a bank account and
- 17:30Speaker 1: a job. So I was doing very well and it
- 17:33Speaker 1: just didn't make any sense that a prenup would protect
- 17:37Speaker 1: us or protect her from from what you know, But
- 17:40Speaker 1: for you, I guess you know. What I learned in
- 17:43Speaker 1: this whole divorce thing is if you are together without
- 17:48Speaker 1: a prenup or even a wedding for ten years in California,
- 17:52Speaker 1: it's like being married. So you don't even need to
- 17:54Speaker 1: get married. You don't need a certificate, you don't even
- 17:56Speaker 1: need any of that. All your assets are subject to
- 17:59Speaker 1: you know, to a divorce.
- 18:02Speaker 2: So oh, I don't know that you might as well
- 18:04Speaker 2: be getting married if you've been together for ten years, right, right.
- 18:07Speaker 1: And I have a friend who got married in Miami
- 18:11Speaker 1: or in Florida, and he had a bunch of assets
- 18:13Speaker 1: and everything, and I was happy to be at the
- 18:15Speaker 1: wedding and everything. He was super happy, and I think
- 18:17Speaker 1: he got divorced a year later, and ever since then
- 18:21Speaker 1: he continued to build companies, you know, make a lot
- 18:24Speaker 1: of money. And he had he had a relationship with
- 18:27Speaker 1: the girl, but he wasn't going to marry her, and
- 18:30Speaker 1: he made it clearly and understanding with her that we're
- 18:33Speaker 1: not going to ever get married. So like, I get it.
- 18:36Speaker 1: I get it. You know, once you get screwed like that,
- 18:38Speaker 1: and you work your ass off so hard, right you know,
- 18:41Speaker 1: you know, I mean I don't know what the laws are.
- 18:43Speaker 2: And well, that's what I never understood is that if
- 18:47Speaker 2: whether it's the husband or the wife, right, let's say
- 18:50Speaker 2: it's the it's the wife in this case, right, Yeah,
- 18:53Speaker 2: she wakes up one day three years later and she
- 18:56Speaker 2: just tells you, I don't love you anymore and I'm
- 18:59Speaker 2: out and maybe I found a new dude. Right, Yeah,
- 19:03Speaker 2: she can take half your stuff even though she's the
- 19:05Speaker 2: one that's leaving exactly.
- 19:07Speaker 1: And this is California. This is like, that's what's crazy thing.
- 19:10Speaker 2: And I've always felt even if it's the other way, right, like,
- 19:11Speaker 2: if I decide to leave, yeah, and it's I'm choosing
- 19:15Speaker 2: to leave, then why, it's like a double whammy. It's
- 19:18Speaker 2: like an insult to injury. You're going to leave you
- 19:22Speaker 2: and I'm still taking half your shit.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Yeah, So I mean it happens. It happens a lot.
- 19:28Speaker 1: I think you were saying sixty percent of marriages and
- 19:31Speaker 1: then divorce, and I truly believe that number is accurate,
- 19:33Speaker 1: especially in California. You know, there's so much distraction and
- 19:37Speaker 1: so much entitlement. And I don't know how these guys
- 19:42Speaker 1: do it that have a ton of money and date
- 19:45Speaker 1: these young women and marry them, you know what I mean, Like,
- 19:48Speaker 1: why are you getting married? Well, there must be some
- 19:50Speaker 1: sort of really ironclad bring up that you know, if
- 19:55Speaker 1: we get married, you're not You might get X, Y
- 19:58Speaker 1: and Z, but you're not going to get at all,
- 20:00Speaker 1: you know. And these guys that are wealthy and you know,
- 20:03Speaker 1: live that life and don't care about life or money
- 20:05Speaker 1: or anything or love. They end up getting divorced or
- 20:10Speaker 1: and lose a little bit of money. But I don't
- 20:12Speaker 1: know how they continue to do that. They get married
- 20:14Speaker 1: over and over and over. I mean there's been some
- 20:15Speaker 1: celebrities that get married like seven times. And you know,
- 20:18Speaker 1: these movie stars celebrities, they have a lot of money.
- 20:22Speaker 1: So how do they do They could afford, like you said,
- 20:24Speaker 1: they can afford to right, it's just got so much money.
- 20:26Speaker 2: It's like, all, I get divorced three four times, no matter.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Yeah, But to really pinpoint the purpose behind marriage, you know,
- 20:36Speaker 1: I was always afraid because it is a big deal.
- 20:40Speaker 1: It is a big commitment. It's almost like the very
- 20:42Speaker 1: first time I ever had a not had to, but
- 20:46Speaker 1: expressed to a woman that I love you. You know,
- 20:49Speaker 1: it's like, that's that's so meaningful to me. I don't
- 20:51Speaker 1: know if I could just say it, you know, because
- 20:53Speaker 1: I don't know what love is. I was so young, right,
- 20:57Speaker 1: I don't know what impressed me, impressed upon me, or
- 21:00Speaker 1: who impressed upon me to value that so much that
- 21:04Speaker 1: I just didn't want to give it away. Right, I'm
- 21:06Speaker 1: just not going to say I love you just because
- 21:08Speaker 1: maybe it's a family trait. I don't know. I really
- 21:11Speaker 1: valued that. And then it came to, you know, getting
- 21:14Speaker 1: married as well. It's like I don't want to just
- 21:16Speaker 1: get married.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Yeah, By the way, what's your love language?
- 21:20Speaker 1: Words of affirmation and actions, you know when when you know,
- 21:25Speaker 1: not necessarily gifts, but little things here and there. I mean,
- 21:28Speaker 1: Tara's really good about doing for me little things here
- 21:30Speaker 1: and there. When she makes me dinner, sometimes she's doing
- 21:34Speaker 1: it for me. She's not just making dinner just to
- 21:36Speaker 1: make dinner, you know what I mean. She asked me
- 21:37Speaker 1: what I want. She's real, she just really pays real
- 21:40Speaker 1: attention to what I like, what I don't like, and
- 21:42Speaker 1: she makes sure that you know it's going to be
- 21:44Speaker 1: an enjoyable dinner as opposed to oh yeah hungry, Okay,
- 21:47Speaker 1: well let's get door dash.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Jenny used to cook for me all the time before
- 21:51Speaker 2: we got married, and once we got married, cooking was over.
- 22:06Speaker 2: I know that you said that. I think it was
- 22:09Speaker 2: on the show that you wanted a small wedding, but
- 22:12Speaker 2: then I think the show found out that you were
- 22:15Speaker 2: going to have a wedding, so they offered to pay
- 22:17Speaker 2: for it, and then you made it, I think, a
- 22:20Speaker 2: pretty big wedding. So do you ever think back of
- 22:23Speaker 2: like what a small wedding would look like for you?
- 22:27Speaker 1: I don't, and people have asked me that many times,
- 22:32Speaker 1: only because I just I had such an amazing experience
- 22:37Speaker 1: with the wedding that was produced and the way it
- 22:40Speaker 1: all happened when it was I think I told you
- 22:44Speaker 1: when I was presented to me, I was like, I
- 22:46Speaker 1: don't want to do this on TV. You know, based
- 22:48Speaker 1: on my experience with the Bravo Real Housewife show, it's
- 22:52Speaker 1: very toxic. I don't want any drama, and this is
- 22:55Speaker 1: supposed to be a very special thing for me.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Yeah, you got all the girls there, right, and.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Then all the girls there and all that. But it
- 23:01Speaker 1: turned out to be very well produced and very little drama.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Most of the drama had to do with, you know,
- 23:09Speaker 1: I want this and she wants that, you know, and
- 23:13Speaker 1: don't spend too much money on the wedding, and okay,
- 23:15Speaker 1: let's not talk about the budget, you know. So it's like,
- 23:18Speaker 1: all right, those things really are not important. I mean,
- 23:21Speaker 1: I just didn't want a girl fighting at her wedding
- 23:26Speaker 1: or throwing you know, the table or some stupid like
- 23:29Speaker 1: that just to get ratings right, nor to get attention.
- 23:32Speaker 1: But the way it all turned out, the way it
- 23:36Speaker 1: was all edited and produced and filmed, and and the
- 23:39Speaker 1: way the wedding planner handled it all, she really paid
- 23:44Speaker 1: attention to what Tamra was saying. She really understood my
- 23:50Speaker 1: desires on it. I mean, at the time, for example,
- 23:53Speaker 1: it was a little bit of a pointer. At the time,
- 23:57Speaker 1: I was very much addicted to gummy bears. Gummy bears
- 23:59Speaker 1: were my vice and that's what I love the most.
- 24:02Speaker 1: And the wedding planner somehow ended up getting gummy bears
- 24:06Speaker 1: all over the wedding hall and these two or three
- 24:09Speaker 1: i think five pound gummy bears the size of a
- 24:12Speaker 1: small baby.
- 24:13Speaker 2: Right.
- 24:14Speaker 1: I'd never seen a gummy bear so big, and so
- 24:18Speaker 1: that was you know, I just one one way to
- 24:20Speaker 1: my heart and to impress me, and another. You know,
- 24:23Speaker 1: I was a big road cyclist at the time. I
- 24:26Speaker 1: used to ride my bike everywhere, and the wedding planner
- 24:30Speaker 1: ended up finding an old road bike and hanging it
- 24:34Speaker 1: from the rafters where we got married and putting flowers
- 24:37Speaker 1: and everything and painting it so it matches. And I'm like, wow,
- 24:41Speaker 1: you know, you really thought about all the things that
- 24:43Speaker 1: bring you know, happiness and value to me to make
- 24:47Speaker 1: this a real wedding, a real experience, versus, Oh, we're
- 24:53Speaker 1: going to hire the most expensive chefs. We're gonna hire
- 24:55Speaker 1: the most expensive this. We're gonna you know, have the
- 24:58Speaker 1: Gucci this and you know the pro of that, and
- 25:01Speaker 1: we're going to make it the most amazing wedding for TV.
- 25:04Speaker 1: You know that probably would have been boring for me
- 25:09Speaker 1: and so fake and empty that I probably would have
- 25:13Speaker 1: wanted a small wedding afterwards, you know, like that's kind
- 25:17Speaker 1: of what I was expecting. Also, like, hey, let's just
- 25:19Speaker 1: do a TV wedding for whatever that is. Let's just
- 25:22Speaker 1: get through it and after that, and that was our plan.
- 25:25Speaker 1: After that, we'll have a small, little wedding, a real
- 25:27Speaker 1: wedding quote unquote, and call it a day. But the
- 25:32Speaker 1: wedding was so incredibly put together, so real, so magical
- 25:35Speaker 1: that I don't regret anything about it. And I'm you know,
- 25:40Speaker 1: the only way I would do another small wedding is
- 25:43Speaker 1: that maybe we renew our valves. But we've seen how
- 25:47Speaker 1: that goes on on the show. You know, people renew
- 25:50Speaker 1: their vows and shit hits the fan. Maybe we should
- 25:53Speaker 1: do it together and we all we do it together.
- 25:57Speaker 1: It's been thirteen years. That would be awesome, like a
- 26:00Speaker 1: destination renew destination renewal.
- 26:02Speaker 2: Right, but that's pretty cool that you got all these
- 26:05Speaker 2: like special moments. Obviously have your bathtub moment that you
- 26:08Speaker 2: I'll always remember on your whatever. I think it was
- 26:11Speaker 2: the first date or whatever. But what I mean, how
- 26:13Speaker 2: magical is that that you can go back and look
- 26:15Speaker 2: at your wedding. I wish I could go back and
- 26:17Speaker 2: look at my Paris wedding. I could look at pictures,
- 26:20Speaker 2: but I don't have like a video like you guys do.
- 26:23Speaker 2: And I mean that's that's the benefit of doing it
- 26:25Speaker 2: through the show, right they I mean when I was
- 26:28Speaker 2: on the show, that's what I liked about it. I
- 26:30Speaker 2: was like, Oh, I'm going to get all this footage
- 26:31Speaker 2: with my kids, and I'm going to be able to
- 26:34Speaker 2: look back at that footage. It's gonna be pretty cool.
- 26:36Speaker 1: So one of the one of the things I remember
- 26:39Speaker 1: having a decision on what the wedding was because it
- 26:43Speaker 1: was produced by a production company. I'm not going to
- 26:48Speaker 1: have access to the footage. I'm not going to have
- 26:50Speaker 1: access to the photos, right, and if I do, it's
- 26:53Speaker 1: going to be whatever they want to give me. So
- 26:55Speaker 1: I ended up hiring a videographer and a photographer. The
- 26:58Speaker 1: photographer was a really close friend of ours. She does weddings.
- 27:02Speaker 1: She was amazing, and she had connections with a videographer
- 27:05Speaker 1: who did a great job. So the video that I
- 27:09Speaker 1: watch every year is the video that was produced for
- 27:12Speaker 1: us by this videographer, privately videographer, and it was so
- 27:17Speaker 1: well done. I think I watch it every year because
- 27:21Speaker 1: it brings lears to me. It brings me back to
- 27:25Speaker 1: that moment and it's real.
- 27:28Speaker 2: Right.
- 27:28Speaker 1: I've watched our actual three part series that Brable produced
- 27:33Speaker 1: maybe twice, and it's not the same. It's not the
- 27:37Speaker 1: same as watching just this one clip that I have
- 27:41Speaker 1: on my phone that I can watch. It's like an
- 27:42Speaker 1: eight minute clip and I just watch it every year
- 27:45Speaker 1: and it just reminds me, and I think subconsciously the
- 27:49Speaker 1: reason I watch it is because I think one of
- 27:53Speaker 1: the things I've experienced in life is you kind of
- 27:57Speaker 1: take things you have for granted generally, right, whether it's
- 28:01Speaker 1: materialistic stuff or relationships or even yourself, your talents, your skills,
- 28:06Speaker 1: and your abilities, right, you kind of take them for granted.
- 28:09Speaker 1: And I know that if it's out of sight, out
- 28:12Speaker 1: of mind, they kind of lose attention. And that's happened
- 28:17Speaker 1: with friendships, that's happened with you know, even companies that
- 28:21Speaker 1: I've had employees, and all relationships in general. So with this,
- 28:26Speaker 1: I feel like, if I don't bring this to mine
- 28:31Speaker 1: every year and remind me how incredibly magical that moment was,
- 28:35Speaker 1: I might I might lose it. I might lose that love,
- 28:39Speaker 1: I might lose I might start taking it for granted,
- 28:42Speaker 1: and I might lose that magic I have with her.
- 28:44Speaker 1: So maybe that's talking to me subconsciously and why I
- 28:47Speaker 1: do it. But yeah, every time I watch it, I
- 28:50Speaker 1: do getteried, and that was seriously. I was at my
- 28:54Speaker 1: visiting my grandmother just a few days ago, and she's
- 28:59Speaker 1: kind of going, you know, she's going to be ninety
- 29:00Speaker 1: nine years old this year, so she's kind of having
- 29:02Speaker 1: Alzheimer's and in the conversations we have are kind of like, oh, wait,
- 29:07Speaker 1: did you do you live in Mexico, Like, well, no,
- 29:11Speaker 1: I don't live in Mexico. I'm about twenty five minutes away.
- 29:14Speaker 1: So I spent some time showing her some videos of
- 29:18Speaker 1: my new dog and you know, my life. And then
- 29:20Speaker 1: I came across the wedding video and I'm like, oh,
- 29:23Speaker 1: watch this, and she was in the wedding. She was
- 29:25Speaker 1: in the video, and it just made it that more
- 29:29Speaker 1: magical to have this content where she was a big
- 29:34Speaker 1: part of the wedding. She walked down the aisle with me,
- 29:37Speaker 1: she was in the video. I watched her and the
- 29:41Speaker 1: impact was, you know, I don't know when I'm going
- 29:44Speaker 1: to lose her, but it's not too long from now.
- 29:47Speaker 1: So I have her here, and I have my wife,
- 29:50Speaker 1: and I have this magic moment that's going to live
- 29:52Speaker 1: with me for the rest of my life. So there's
- 29:54Speaker 1: so many impactful reasons why I watched that video, and
- 29:59Speaker 1: I think that's why I get taridite, because every time
- 30:01Speaker 1: I watch it, I get taite.
- 30:03Speaker 2: Have you ever forgot your anniversary?
- 30:07Speaker 1: No, it's it's it's kind of hard because you know,
- 30:11Speaker 1: I have this video reminds me it's on my calendar,
- 30:13Speaker 1: and I don't want to be that guy that forgets it.
- 30:18Speaker 1: It's it's again very important to me for the longevity
- 30:23Speaker 1: of our wedding, you know, of our marriage, of our
- 30:25Speaker 1: of our life together. This is this was a big
- 30:28Speaker 1: important part in our life and I never want to
- 30:31Speaker 1: forget it.
- 30:40Speaker 2: What about gifts? Does do gifts get you nervous?
- 30:42Speaker 1: Like?
- 30:43Speaker 2: What do I get it this year? Like you got
- 30:45Speaker 2: to keep continuing to level up? Or what it was?
- 30:49Speaker 1: It's like yes and no, yes, because of the social pressures.
- 30:56Speaker 1: You know, it's up there with this whole you gotta
- 30:58Speaker 1: spend thirty percent of your anial salary onto a wedding. Shit,
- 31:02Speaker 1: that was you know. What I know now is that
- 31:04Speaker 1: it was a marketing scheme that was designed by the
- 31:07Speaker 1: jewelry company, the jewelry industry that convinced guys to do that.
- 31:13Speaker 2: I'm glad I didn't fall for it. Because the times
- 31:15Speaker 2: I've given Teddy some really nice anniversary presents, I'm like,
- 31:19Speaker 2: all right, that's your anniversary, that's your birthday, and that's
- 31:24Speaker 2: Christmas and that's Valentine's everything. Ask me for another present.
- 31:30Speaker 2: I go in there with my negotiation skills. Yeah. The
- 31:33Speaker 2: other thing is my wife.
- 31:36Speaker 1: And this is one of the other reasons I love
- 31:38Speaker 1: her so much is that she is not high maintenance.
- 31:41Speaker 1: She personally won't spend stupid money on herself. Like I'm
- 31:45Speaker 1: the one that buys her the two thousand dollars pair
- 31:47Speaker 1: of shoes. She won't do it, you know. And even
- 31:51Speaker 1: though she probably won't do it, I went out and
- 31:56Speaker 1: bought her the six thousand dollars stupid gold bracelet that
- 31:59Speaker 1: go on her wrist that locks down on Cardier. That's
- 32:02Speaker 1: what it is, Cardia. You know, she has these things
- 32:05Speaker 1: that she likes and it's not it's not she doesn't
- 32:09Speaker 1: have an expensive habit of spending, right, So even if
- 32:13Speaker 1: I got her, I mean, one year, I took a
- 32:16Speaker 1: picture of our wedding and had it not laminated but
- 32:20Speaker 1: printed on this aluminum piece and hung in our bedroom
- 32:24Speaker 1: to remind her, Hey, this is who we were, this
- 32:26Speaker 1: is what happened that day, and that was her anniversary present.
- 32:29Speaker 1: You know. I think it cost me like one hundred
- 32:31Speaker 1: and fifty bucks and that was it, you know, and
- 32:33Speaker 1: she was super happy. It's very sentimental because I put
- 32:36Speaker 1: some thought into it. And those are the kind of
- 32:39Speaker 1: gifts I like, by the way, Yeah, yeah, because we
- 32:41Speaker 1: get to see it.
- 32:42Speaker 3: Yeah, you could buy like for me, like I could
- 32:45Speaker 3: buy my own present if I want it, right, But
- 32:47Speaker 3: like those things I would never do for myself, right,
- 32:50Speaker 3: but they mean so much to me, right if you
- 32:53Speaker 3: took the time to like get all these pictures together
- 32:55Speaker 3: and maybe took me down memory road, because it's something
- 32:59Speaker 3: that I normally want to do for myself.
- 33:00Speaker 2: So I like the kind of gifts that I normally
- 33:04Speaker 2: wouldn't do for myself, right, Versus like clothes, I go
- 33:08Speaker 2: buy clothes if I want some, and I'm very picky
- 33:11Speaker 2: with clothes, so I want to buy my own clothes,
- 33:13Speaker 2: not yet what you bring me, and I'm like, oh damn,
- 33:15Speaker 2: I'm never going to wear this thing.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Right, So is that kind of how your relationship is
- 33:20Speaker 1: now where you guys really don't buy each other presence.
- 33:23Speaker 1: It's just like I just had a birthday, right, yeah,
- 33:26Speaker 1: and you're gonna have a birthday soon.
- 33:27Speaker 2: So next week. Yeah, but.
- 33:31Speaker 1: You know, I didn't want to do anything. I didn't
- 33:33Speaker 1: want to go anywhere. We ended up going to Big Beer,
- 33:35Speaker 1: having a nice just get away. I had a nice
- 33:38Speaker 1: Italian dinner. I even had dessert and tried to, you know,
- 33:42Speaker 1: kind of celebrate it. And I think somebody asked, what
- 33:46Speaker 1: did you get for your birthday? I'm like, well, I
- 33:48Speaker 1: don't know what I want. You know, I kind of
- 33:50Speaker 1: want a new Harley. I don't know that I want
- 33:52Speaker 1: to spend the money on a new Harley because I
- 33:54Speaker 1: already have a nice Harley. So it's like I don't
- 33:57Speaker 1: really want to buy myself something expensive. I don't really know,
- 34:00Speaker 1: So I ended up getting nothing. Yeah, you know, it's okay, though,
- 34:04Speaker 1: It's okay, like you I could just go get anything
- 34:07Speaker 1: pretty much anything I want, but yep, it's just Stu.
- 34:12Speaker 2: Yeah no, And I think, uh, I think when its
- 34:14Speaker 2: like with me, I hate the reason I hate Valentines
- 34:19Speaker 2: and I'm probably the worst at Valentine's. I wish I
- 34:21Speaker 2: could be a little more romantic during Valentine's but I
- 34:25Speaker 2: hate someone telling me that I have to buy a
- 34:27Speaker 2: present or that I have to be romantic, which is
- 34:30Speaker 2: what Valentine's is. Like, I want to buy a present
- 34:33Speaker 2: because I feel like it, not because it's Valentine's and
- 34:36Speaker 2: I'm pressured by you know, someone who decided to make
- 34:41Speaker 2: that a commercial day so you can go spend a
- 34:43Speaker 2: bunch of money. I am so right there me For me,
- 34:46Speaker 2: it's hard to do it, like I just like. But
- 34:50Speaker 2: but then randomly I'll come home and I'll just get
- 34:53Speaker 2: her a kick ass gift, you know. Yeah, those are
- 34:56Speaker 2: the gifts I like because I'm like I wanted to.
- 34:59Speaker 2: I didn't have the pressure of it's Valentines and it's
- 35:03Speaker 2: this day, so I got to get you a present, right,
- 35:05Speaker 2: Anniversary a little different, you got to sort of do something.
- 35:09Speaker 2: But my favorite, my favorite one now is now I
- 35:12Speaker 2: just tell Teddy, hey, I'm gonna take a shop and
- 35:14Speaker 2: let's go let her choose something, and yeah, you can
- 35:17Speaker 2: choose it for sometimes and I just I like seeing
- 35:21Speaker 2: the joy that she gets to pick out what she
- 35:24Speaker 2: wants versus before she was like you pick it out,
- 35:27Speaker 2: And I picked stuff out and I think she liked it.
- 35:31Speaker 2: But I actually like when I take her and she
- 35:32Speaker 2: could actually pick exactly what she wants, what'd you do
- 35:36Speaker 2: for your tenth year anniversary? That's an interesting question. I
- 35:41Speaker 2: was just thinking about that the other day. I don't
- 35:43Speaker 2: really I have a bad time memorizing the years. I know.
- 35:49Speaker 2: I bought her an expensive freaking ring that was one
- 35:51Speaker 2: of those that's a two year present for you, Teddy,
- 35:57Speaker 2: it's not an anniversary. That's a two year present for you.
- 36:01Speaker 2: Lasted about six months. That's funny, but it's funny. Now
- 36:06Speaker 2: I have to, like, seriously, I have to. It's almost
- 36:09Speaker 2: like got to keep count, because the other day she
- 36:11Speaker 2: was like, you didn't buy me anything for Valentine's And
- 36:16Speaker 2: then she said something like, oh, last Mother's Day. Because
- 36:18Speaker 2: Mother's Day's coming out. She had me thinking that I
- 36:21Speaker 2: didn't buy anything. I'm like, did I not buy something
- 36:23Speaker 2: for Mother's Day? And then sure enough I go home
- 36:26Speaker 2: and I saw I remembered the shoes and the glasses
- 36:31Speaker 2: that I bought her, and we were in Vegas. Now
- 36:34Speaker 2: granted I bought it early, so I bought it. I
- 36:37Speaker 2: think we were in Vegas April twenty eighth of last year,
- 36:40Speaker 2: and I specifically said, all right, this is your Mother's
- 36:44Speaker 2: Day gift. I'm buying it early. And then, of course
- 36:49Speaker 2: for Mother's Day, I took her to dinner or lunch
- 36:50Speaker 2: or wherever we went, and she's like, you didn't get
- 36:54Speaker 2: me anything for Mother's Day. And I remember. I'm like, man, damn,
- 36:56Speaker 2: I don't get anything on Mother's Day. And then luckily
- 36:58Speaker 2: I remembered because we were with another couple and they're like, yeah,
- 37:01Speaker 2: I remember you were. Because we're going back and forth.
- 37:04Speaker 2: Did I get her a present? Did I not? I'm like, dude,
- 37:06Speaker 2: I know I got you a present. And then finally
- 37:09Speaker 2: the other couple's like, yeah, we were in Vegas. Remember
- 37:11Speaker 2: you bought her this, this, this, And I'm like, yes,
- 37:13Speaker 2: it was just April twenty eighth. And I get so
- 37:17Speaker 2: excited that I want to give the gift right away.
- 37:20Speaker 2: Yeah right, versus let's wait another ten days from other's day, right. Yeah.
- 37:24Speaker 2: So anyway, that's the next one I got coming. I
- 37:26Speaker 2: gotta figure out what I'm getting from Mother's Day. So
- 37:31Speaker 2: much pressure. I know, in a perfect world, don't get
- 37:35Speaker 2: me anything. I will get you anything. We'll call it
- 37:37Speaker 2: a day. Yeah, one least thing we got to worry about.
- 37:40Speaker 1: Yeah, but I.
- 37:42Speaker 2: It doesn't work that way.
- 37:42Speaker 1: Here's another reason why we're so much alike, because when
- 37:45Speaker 1: you were talking about you know, you can buyer anything anytime.
- 37:48Speaker 1: I just learned that concept. I was shopping for I
- 37:54Speaker 1: think Christmas or something like that, and I found a gift.
- 37:59Speaker 1: I was shopping and I saw this really cute jacket
- 38:01Speaker 1: that I thought all my wife would love it, and
- 38:04Speaker 1: I bought the jacket. I saved it in the garage
- 38:07Speaker 1: and a bag, you know, and I said, I'm going
- 38:09Speaker 1: to give it to her for Valentine's Day, And the
- 38:11Speaker 1: whole time I wanted to give it to her, like
- 38:13Speaker 1: I just, I just I don't need to.
- 38:15Speaker 2: Valentine's get so excited.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Yeah, you gets so excited because I really think she'd
- 38:19Speaker 1: look cute on it. And I felt really proud that
- 38:22Speaker 1: I did this because I saw something that reminded me
- 38:25Speaker 1: of her that would look super cute on her. And
- 38:29Speaker 1: sure enough, you know, I was dying and Valentine's came
- 38:33Speaker 1: and I gave her the gift and I was super excited, like, Okay,
- 38:36Speaker 1: I think I could do it this way because when
- 38:39Speaker 1: it comes to thinking, okay, Mother's Days next week and back,
- 38:44Speaker 1: when am I going to get I haven't thought about it,
- 38:46Speaker 1: and you know, I got to go rush out and
- 38:48Speaker 1: get something and as stressful, and then you might get
- 38:51Speaker 1: something that's stupid and she'll be mad.
- 38:53Speaker 2: At you if you exactly. I don't want her to
- 38:57Speaker 2: be mad at me exactly.
- 38:59Speaker 1: Hey have you looked at some of the reviews that
- 39:02Speaker 1: we've had on our podcast? I have not. I need
- 39:05Speaker 1: to do a better job of that. I'll read a
- 39:07Speaker 1: couple and then we'll move on because I.
- 39:09Speaker 2: Hope they're good. Or should we just read the bad ones?
- 39:12Speaker 2: There are no bad ones. There's no bad ones bad ones.
- 39:16Speaker 2: Thank you guys for now leaving negative ones. And you
- 39:19Speaker 2: know what we want the truth. You know, the truth
- 39:21Speaker 2: won't kill us. So this first review is from C
- 39:26Speaker 2: Sanders excellent podcast, The Eds. We're both well spoken, wonderful introduction,
- 39:32Speaker 2: looking forward to listening all the time. The ladies, Tamer
- 39:34Speaker 2: and Teddy should be very proud of their husbands. The
- 39:37Speaker 2: boys did a phenomenal job. Pretty cool, right, Yeah, that's
- 39:40Speaker 2: pretty cool. Here's another one bad for some first timers.
- 39:44Speaker 1: You two truly are better halves lol. I know. Really
- 39:50Speaker 1: enjoyed the podcast, appreciated the honesty and humbleness. Edwin's story
- 39:53Speaker 1: is worth sharing everywhere, being an example that no matter
- 39:57Speaker 1: where you come from or what you've gone through are
- 39:59Speaker 1: not defined. You are not defined by those circumstances. Totally
- 40:04Speaker 1: on your side.
- 40:05Speaker 2: Super cool. I love that.
- 40:06Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm going to read one more just just a
- 40:08Speaker 1: call today and we'll end with this great swing at
- 40:12Speaker 1: the first pitch.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Great first show.
- 40:16Speaker 1: I really enjoyed listening to both of your stories from
- 40:18Speaker 1: your early childhoods. You came across very interesting and comfortable,
- 40:22Speaker 1: which gave you, which gave your first podcast a real
- 40:25Speaker 1: sense of ease. Bravo, no pun intended. I look forward
- 40:29Speaker 1: to learning more about you both, and you are taking
- 40:33Speaker 1: a life your take on life and all it has
- 40:36Speaker 1: to offer. Congrats on an excellent show.
- 40:40Speaker 2: So very cool.
- 40:41Speaker 1: I don't know how you feel about that, but I
- 40:42Speaker 1: feel pretty good. You know, I didn't know what's good start. Yeah,
- 40:45Speaker 1: I got better, I think, yeah, we could only get
- 40:48Speaker 1: better from here. And another thing, you know, you guys
- 40:51Speaker 1: that are listening to us, tell us what you want
- 40:54Speaker 1: to once to talk about. You know what you want
- 40:55Speaker 1: to hear from us, and if there's anything you know,
- 40:58Speaker 1: nothing's off the table. Were willing to talk about anything
- 41:01Speaker 1: except politics and religion? Yes, awesome, great talking to you,
- 41:07Speaker 1: bud I hope.
- 41:08Speaker 2: Uh.
- 41:08Speaker 1: Likewise, yeah, I hope you're doing well and we'll talk soon.
