- 0:00SPEAKER_00: I was talking to a number of young people and the idea of some of the stresses they were going through.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: We call the mental illness, anxiety, depression, how many of their friends are even suicidal, can get in very dark places.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: And I proposed to them, I said, you know, it doesn't take long for one to notice if you're paying attention that there's a real battle going on.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: Does anybody sense this?
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: That something weird is happening?
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: Truth versus falsehood, good versus evil, beauty versus profaning of beauty.
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: I said, let me propose something to you.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: Maybe that mental illness that you're feeling, that anxiety, this depression, even suicidal thoughts.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: Maybe this is your heart telling you something.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's not a medication you need or to numb this.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's more wake up.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: What's going on in my heart?
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: What happens if your heart's telling you something is wrong out there?
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: The mental illness is out there and it's trying to get into your heart.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: You know, we spent some time talking about the interior world of the human heart, the awe and wonder of the human heart, of the inner life of a human being.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: Think about a human being.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: When you're looking at me or I'm looking at you, I see you, but I don't really know much about you.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: You don't know much about me, really.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: Except when you start to think about this, there's so much going on on the inside.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: We're a body and a soul, mind, soul, heart.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: There's so much going on in the inner life.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: And then you take that inner life and you you connect it as you go out to this exterior life.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: But that exterior life that we're seeing around us is insane.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: The people that we're meeting are insane.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: So maybe your heart's telling you, so it's very, very important that you don't run away from your heart.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: Your heart could save you.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: God gave you that heart, huh?
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: What happens to a generation like yours?
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: This is Gen Z, young people, that you grew up in a proverbial pot with the frog.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: Did you ever hear that story, right?
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: The frog is in the pot.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: And the water that he's sitting in is getting warm, slowly, warmer and warmer and warmer, and it's getting ready to boil, and he will boil to death in there.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: But it happened so slowly, he got so used to it, he didn't even notice it, and boom, he's gone.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: What happens if you've been sitting in that pot since the day you were born, along with the generations who came before you?
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: And nobody's trying to get out.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: So you look around and say, Well, nobody's trying to get out of here.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: Something's happening, something's wrong, I feel it, but nobody's trying to get out.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: But then you start to get anxious.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: Holy cow, I gotta get out of here.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: Something in your heart's telling you, you gotta get out of there.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: And you're right, you do, or you will die inside.
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: And the culture and the country and the people around you are dying on the outside of you.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: So how does a young person today come to grips with these and more, these big questions of life, trying to understand what is going on?
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: What's the meaning of purpose of all this?
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: What's the meaning of purpose of my life?
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: Marriage, family, happiness, love.
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: What's going on?
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: Here's what I suggested to them.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: There's only one way if they want to get out of that pot.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: So they're climbing out of that pot.
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: But they'll just pop into another pot if they're not careful.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: It may not be as warm for a while, but all of a sudden, boom, they'll start to get them too.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: So too often, what are these young guys doing?
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: They're filling their time, and young guys, young girls filling their time with distractions all day long that were more akin to a person drifting through life on the surface, never going deep, never getting in touch with your own heart that's trying to tell you something.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: Your own inner life.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: You're living on the surface of not only the world, you're living on the surface of yourself, being pushed around by the spirits of the age.
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: And you know what?
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: You're getting nearer and nearer of that storm that's raging around you and raging in here.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: I told them a diving story, so I'm a diver, and uh I go diving with my brothers.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: And one time we're in Turks and Caico, we're on a liverboard, and on that liveerboard, you actually live on board on board a boat.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: It's usually a dive boat, a big dive boat.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: It's got a little kitchen in there, got a cook, etc., etc.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: There's about 15 of us, with uh a good portion of that being my myself, my brothers, and a friend or two of ours.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: And so we're diving five times a day, so it was beautiful.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: Anyways, one time, as we're getting ready to dive, one morning we get up and and the captain we meet in this in this chalk room, he's gonna show us uh where some dives are.
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: You can get lost pretty fast under there with currents.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: You know, so you got to be careful.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: So, anyways, as we're going through, he says, I got I got maybe some bad news for you guys, you know, and we could feel the boat rocking, you know, so we're all like, woo, getting a little queasy.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: And uh he said, I don't know if we're gonna be able to dive today.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: I can't really find a spot uh that that's not too uh rocky.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: There's a you know almost like a storm brewing up here.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: The ocean's going crazy.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: So he said, uh, I'll look around, but we're not gonna be able to go on that first dive this morning.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: So, anyways, make a long story short, he finds a spot, tucks in behind an island, and and we we're gonna go diving that day, which is a big deal.
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: You know, what do you do on a dive boat if you can't dive, you know?
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: And so we get all our gear on.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: If you ever tried to walk with fins and a heavy tank, a weight belt, your mask on, etc., and you're trying to get to the edge of the boat, and you need to time it and jump off this boat to get into the ocean.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: And so I need some help from a crew.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: They're they're they're by this gate that they open up.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: They kind of stabilized me a little bit, and boom, I jumped.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: As I jumped, I hit that surface.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: And then as I'm starting to sink down 10 yards, 20 yards, I I just I look up and I see that boat bobbing and I see the froth on the waves, and I could see that the this uh wind is really blowing up on top.
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: The wind of the spirits of the age, guys, this is what's happening to you.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: But as I sunk down, and this is what we do in prayer, we sink down to the level of the heart, and you just meet two people there, you and God.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: You bring your inner world, he brings his world, and you touch each other and you make sense of all this.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: It's so important to do.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: And I looked down and I saw the awe and wonder of these reefs.
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: Something I hadn't seen before.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: Awe and wonder.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: Great philosophy, great poets, huh?
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: They they they they're describing and talking about and starting with awe and wonder.
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: Sometimes it's it has to be poetic words because you're you're trying to describe what's going on in your heart and what's going on and what you see in in human words when it's really the divine around you.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: So you sink down into prayer.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: So let's do that together.
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: Let's sink down.
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: If you have the Claymore battle plan outline that you can print for free, just go to Claymore Militus Christie.com.
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: This is only about a six-pager.
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: Print this out right in the middle of that.
- 7:21SPEAKER_00: You should read the the first few pages too.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: It'll set you up for this battle that we're in, that we're describing here.
- 7:27SPEAKER_00: But we have five aspects of formation as militus Christie, soldiers for Christ.
- 7:32SPEAKER_00: Here's something you're gonna find out, and I just tell you this right off the bat here.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: If you throw out Jesus Christ from the culture, from the world, and from your own heart, insanity reigns.
- 7:43SPEAKER_00: Just look around.
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: All of these things that I'm describing are coming because we've moved Jesus Christ out of our hearts, out of our culture, out of our lives, and evil fills.
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: You know, this is a vacuous state that we're in, and evil fills.
- 8:00SPEAKER_00: The day you were born and you got into that pot with the frog.
- 8:03SPEAKER_00: This is not neutral territory.
- 8:05SPEAKER_00: There's a force that wants to keep you in there, that wants to destroy your heart, destroy the world around you.
- 8:12SPEAKER_00: And Jesus came into the world to bring you life and to bring in abundance, huh?
- 8:17SPEAKER_00: So, anyways, there's a part there called formation.
- 8:20SPEAKER_00: And I'm gonna make this easy for you, just like the Claymore 10-minute morning ritual is easy.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: Before, guys, before you look at that phone in the morning, you got to get into prayer.
- 8:30SPEAKER_00: Before you look at that phone in the morning, always, always, always drop down to your knees and just follow this 10-minute morning ritual.
- 8:38SPEAKER_00: The first part is I'm gonna read it to you.
- 8:40SPEAKER_00: You're praying with our blessed mother.
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: Just picture her kneeling next to you.
- 8:44SPEAKER_00: The reason why we start like this, our blessed mother is the hinge of history.
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: Her yes, her fiat brings Christ.
- 8:51SPEAKER_00: She was literally impregnated with Christ, and so will we be.
- 8:55SPEAKER_00: Pray with your mother Mary and model of obedience, who prays beside you.
- 9:00SPEAKER_00: She says, Let it be done to me according to your word.
- 9:03SPEAKER_00: This is from the first chapter of Luke, when they when the angel Gabriel came to her and said that she's going to be the mother of God Himself.
- 9:13SPEAKER_00: And then she turns to us, like the servants in the in the wedding feast, uh, the Jesus' first miracle, the wedding feast of Cana.
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: And she tells the servants around, do whatever he tells you.
- 9:25SPEAKER_00: So we're opening up our hearts, huh?
- 9:27SPEAKER_00: We're in prayer, we're opening up to the riches of Jesus Christ that he wants to pour into us.
- 9:31SPEAKER_00: Be it done to me according to your word.
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: And then I'm gonna listen.
- 9:35SPEAKER_00: I gotta listen.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: Do whatever he tells you.
- 9:38SPEAKER_00: The second part of that is so important, praying with temptation.
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna go through this now, but praying with temptation for you guys is so important, huh?
- 9:46SPEAKER_00: To be able to lift those passions and desires to Christ.
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: And that's in Act 11 of the handbook, it shows you exactly how to do that.
- 9:55SPEAKER_00: Okay, number three, while you're on your knees there, pray and meditate.
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: I'll listen to a little snippet of Divine Mercy.
- 10:02SPEAKER_00: It's so beautiful, it's free.
- 10:03SPEAKER_00: You can download the Divine Mercy app and listen to Jesus and Sister Faustina speaking to each other.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: And then I'd like to read some scripture either in the morning there or I'll read it at night, the scripture for the day, and I'm gonna read this to you because and this is right on my phone.
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: So I am gonna bring my phone out.
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: It's called the Magnificat, it's an aptor, and that Magnificat is so rich, so beautiful, it's so powerful.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: It's gonna give you the readings for the mass all over the world today.
- 10:33SPEAKER_00: This we're reading the same readings, but not only will it do that, it's gonna give you the saint of the day, a meditation of the day.
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: There's so many beautiful stories in there, but I mainly use it to read the scripture.
- 10:46SPEAKER_00: You know, I want to settle into this, I want to listen to God, I want to find this quiet spot every day.
- 10:51SPEAKER_00: And then I usually read the meditation too from some uh saint or just a father of the church, etc.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: Just so rich, so beautiful.
- 11:00SPEAKER_00: And then you're gonna pray the St.
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: Michael prayer because we see this battle.
- 11:04SPEAKER_00: And then number five, just love the next person you see.
- 11:07SPEAKER_00: This is very practical, very real.
- 11:09SPEAKER_00: It's it's opening your heart to Christ, praying with all the temptations of the world, listening to him.
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: Now, so now we're gonna listen.
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: It's from the first book of Kings.
- 11:18SPEAKER_00: It's one of my favorite.
- 11:20SPEAKER_00: Elijah was being persecuted, huh?
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: And he goes up into the mountains.
- 11:24SPEAKER_00: And at the mountain of God, Horeb, Elijah came to a cave where he took shelter.
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: Then the Lord said to him, Go outside and stand on the mountain before the Lord.
- 11:33SPEAKER_00: The Lord will be passing by.
- 11:36SPEAKER_00: So this is what happens to all of us.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: The Lord will is passing by all the time.
- 11:41SPEAKER_00: Do we pay attention?
- 11:42SPEAKER_00: Do we notice?
- 11:43SPEAKER_00: Okay, so this is what he's saying.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: The Lord will be passing by.
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: So here's what happens.
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: A strong and heavy wind was rendering the mountains and crushing the rocks before the Lord.
- 11:52SPEAKER_00: Kind of like my diving story, right?
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: It just boom, boom, boom.
- 11:56SPEAKER_00: But the Lord was not in that wind.
- 11:59SPEAKER_00: After the wind, there was an earthquake.
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: You feel the tremble of the earthquake.
- 12:03SPEAKER_00: You imagine standing on the mountain.
- 12:05SPEAKER_00: In in can you imagine being on that dive boat, feeling that power of the wind that I was feeling?
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: But the Lord was not in the earthquake.
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: After the earthquake, there's a fire and it raged through, but the Lord was not in the fire.
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: After the fire, there was a tiny whispering sound.
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: When he heard this, Elijah hid his face in his cloak and went and stood at the entrance of the cave.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: God was in that tiny whispering sound.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: God is in that whispering sound.
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: You know, all around us, all of this being blown around by the spirit of the age.
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: Take time in the morning and pray, right?
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: Pay attention, John Paul II.
- 12:47SPEAKER_00: This is on the front of that outline, guys.
- 12:49SPEAKER_00: Pay attention.
- 12:50SPEAKER_00: Your life is not an endless series of open doors.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: Listen to your heart.
- 12:54SPEAKER_00: Do not stay on the surface, but go to the heart of things.
- 12:58SPEAKER_00: And when the time is right, have the courage to decide.
- 13:02SPEAKER_00: He's speaking to you guys.
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: Have the courage to climb out, even if the generations before you didn't get out of that pot, that proverbial pot.
- 13:11SPEAKER_00: Climb out, jump out.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: But then you got to know where to go.
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: That's why we have the Claymore Battle Plan outline, and that's why that gives you that over We're telling you where you're jumping to and what's going on.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: And then we have the Claymore Battle Plan Handbook that fills this in.
- 13:28SPEAKER_00: So after, what are you going to do?
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: After that 10-minute Claymore morning ritual, you set yourself up for the day.
- 13:35SPEAKER_00: You're going to go out and be cognizant, right, of what's going on in your heart, what's going on around you.
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: And then it sometime during the day, or if you want to at night, fill yourself with five minutes, take five minutes to read one of those acts out of the handbook that's filling in this heart, filling in what you're what you're sensing, what you're feeling.
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: So 10 minutes in the morning, let's call it five minutes at night, 15 minutes, 15 minutes a day to start to get your heart back, right?
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: I went to my favorite spot for a haircut just recently, and it's a hip place.
- 14:08SPEAKER_00: It's kind of a cool place for men, and and it's really for young men.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: I think I'm almost always the oldest guy there, so why would I go, right?
- 14:16SPEAKER_00: Well, anyways, let me just tell you the energy and then I'll tell you why.
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: So there's always eight, ten, this is a busy joint all day long.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: Eight, ten men, young men that are cutting hair in the latest fashion.
- 14:29SPEAKER_00: Again, I'm the oldest guy there, but I go there because I like the haircuts, I like the owner, young guy, but more because of of Claymore.
- 14:37SPEAKER_00: See, I have an opportunity to meet these young guys to talk to them, and and often they'll come around.
- 14:43SPEAKER_00: We'll end up around my chair and they have questions and different things.
- 14:47SPEAKER_00: And some of them are reading the uh Claymore Handbook.
- 14:50SPEAKER_00: So it's really interesting.
- 14:52SPEAKER_00: Last week, while I was there, they're discussing the new Grand Theft Auto Video game that's coming out, GTA number six, and the guys were excited.
- 15:00SPEAKER_00: Now, I never played it, but I know a lot of young guys who are gamers and do, and I'm no expert, but I know that it's an open world adventure game where you play as a criminal.
- 15:12SPEAKER_00: This version will take place in a fictional city called Vice City, a fictional version of Miami, basically, and Vice Returns refers to the city's reputation for crime, corruption, drugs, hedonism.
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: And as you play as a criminal by design, it's that's the whole premise.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: You're robbing, shooting, driving, getaways, pulling heists on people.
- 15:35SPEAKER_00: Now, the average Gen Z man into gaming, he he's playing ten plus hours a week.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: Let's just call it 10 hours, but it's it's over 10 hours a week.
- 15:46SPEAKER_00: What does this do to the human brain?
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 15:49SPEAKER_00: And I'm not gonna take the time to find out.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: But I know that if you're if you're 10 hours a week into this world of being a criminal, robbing shame, it it can't it's gotta bring some darkness into your heart.
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna say more than that because when I was a young guy, we had these simple games and I love playing them too, you know.
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: But what does this do to the human brain again over time?
- 16:11SPEAKER_00: We don't really know, but I bet you it's not gonna be good.
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: Okay, so there's more.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: On average, young men today watch about two plus hours a week of pornography, and this is hardcore pornography.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: So we got about two hours to that.
- 16:28SPEAKER_00: We got ten plus hours in gaming and how much social media scrolling, except I don't know.
- 16:34SPEAKER_00: But we know that pornography rewires a man's neuropathways, and the images that that are embedded into your brain can stay with you for a lifetime because I'm meeting those guys as they get older.
- 16:45SPEAKER_00: So now think about all of this that we're putting into our head.
- 16:49SPEAKER_00: We're sitting in that proverbial pot, you guys are sitting in there, and you're you're letting the evil one, that vacuum, just push you down, get you into dark places and stuff.
- 16:59SPEAKER_00: And again, I'm not just condemning all games and stuff like that.
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: Just listen to me, listen to me now.
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: If you just took, like I just said, 15 minutes out of that two hours per day, basically, right?
- 17:12SPEAKER_00: 10 plus hours, two plus hours, this you're you're spending at least a couple hours a day on the social media stuff, gamers, all this kind of stuff.
- 17:20SPEAKER_00: If you took 15 minutes out of that, that's how you start.
- 17:24SPEAKER_00: You don't start trying to quit everything or do everything and say, oh, now, you know, Jack says I shouldn't play video.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: No.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: I'm just saying, instead of start to balance this out and see what happens to your heart.
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: Before you look at that phone in the morning, 10-minute uh Claymore morning ritual, before you go to bed at night, read at least one act out of the out of the Claymore Battle Plan Handbook.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: Now consider that so many of these young men that I'm speaking to, first of all, I have to say this, they're wonderful guys.
- 17:52SPEAKER_00: I love talking to these guys.
- 17:54SPEAKER_00: I don't care what they do, where their background stuff from, you can just see they have good hearts.
- 17:58SPEAKER_00: This always gives me optimism.
- 18:00SPEAKER_00: I just feel bad that that so many of them had no Christian upbringing, often, and they're the ones that tell me from dysfunctional families, divorces for sure, growing up without fathers, so many, some of them born out of wedlock.
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: So in in my work with them and my time with them, they're gonna clearly state that many of them came from what they describe sometimes as a hard background.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: They get this.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: The ironic thing is that GTA 6 accurately describes the society and deep state corruption in our government that they that have captured notions.
- 18:32SPEAKER_00: So you grow up in this toxic pot with the frog.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: It's true.
- 18:36SPEAKER_00: You look around you and you could say, okay, well, I just gonna stay in this pot, man, because that world stinks out there.
- 18:43SPEAKER_00: Oh, we can change that world.
- 18:45SPEAKER_00: We can change our heart.
- 18:46SPEAKER_00: This is what a man is made for.
- 18:48SPEAKER_00: But you haven't been modeled this.
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: You're gonna be a criminal in there instead of the hero of your life.
- 18:53SPEAKER_00: Well, climbing out of that pot will not be easy.
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: There was a time that even a hard uh background like you guys told me you could could be overcome because we had a virtuous culture.
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: Maybe somebody virtuous in a culture would show you would model.
- 19:10SPEAKER_00: Not today.
- 19:10SPEAKER_00: You can't find them very often.
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: You want the good news now or the bad news?
- 19:15SPEAKER_00: The bad news is that if you stay in that pot while wasting your youth, you're gonna find that you're unable to get out, and no one's gonna save you.
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: Pretty soon that 24, 25-year-old is gonna be 30 years old, and he doesn't even know how to really talk to a woman.
- 19:31SPEAKER_00: All he knows is these pornographic images, this criminal.
- 19:34SPEAKER_00: He hasn't developed more and more skills.
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: He hasn't taken that two hours a day, let's just say one hour of those days, and reading good books, getting into the Claymore Battle Plan Handbook.
- 19:45SPEAKER_00: You can look through the footnotes and the bibliography there.
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: You you can read for the rest of your life there.
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: Even just just John Paul II's stuff.
- 19:54SPEAKER_00: There's so much.
- 19:54SPEAKER_00: But start with that 15 minutes.
- 19:56SPEAKER_00: You can hear now, you know, that this young person's romance with socialism and communism, Islam, and many of these young people they romanticize that these things are gonna save them.
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: I could see why they do that if you're left alone and you're sitting in that pot, you know, and you say, okay, Big Daddy State's gonna help me.
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: Well, these man-made ideologies, they're going to fail you because they don't care about you.
- 20:23SPEAKER_00: Jesus Christ cares about you.
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: God cares about you.
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: These are just man-made uh things.
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: So that uh that the the powerful and the government and uh and in the big uh corporations that are in bed with them, and you know, the communists, the socialists, the ideologues, the neo-Marxists, the ones that bring all of these crazy gender ideologies and racial divisions into our culture.
- 20:48SPEAKER_00: All of that's explained in the Claymore Battle Plan Handbook and on what we do.
- 20:53SPEAKER_00: So I'm not gonna get into that.
- 20:55SPEAKER_00: Except just to know those things will fail you.
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: But the good news, you have a savior.
- 21:01SPEAKER_00: And Jesus explains the whole thing.
- 21:04SPEAKER_00: Think about this.
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: I was reading this the other day, and I'm gonna read it to you because young guys were saying, Well, you know, when I get up off my knees and I love the next person you see, I want to continue to go deeper.
- 21:16SPEAKER_00: I said, continue to read that scripture every day.
- 21:19SPEAKER_00: Read an act from the handbook at night, but read some scripture every day.
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: Add that a little bit to it.
- 21:24SPEAKER_00: That's all part of the outline.
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: Just read the battle plan outline, you'll see how to do that.
- 21:29SPEAKER_00: So let's just see what Jesus says about this.
- 21:31SPEAKER_00: This is in Matthew chapter seven.
- 21:33SPEAKER_00: He says, Okay, you you you want to get out of the pot?
- 21:36SPEAKER_00: Ask me.
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: And it will be given you.
- 21:39SPEAKER_00: Seek me, and you will find.
- 21:42SPEAKER_00: Knock, and it will be open to you.
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and he who knocks will be opened.
- 21:51SPEAKER_00: Or what man of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent instead.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: If you then who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him?
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: So whatever you wish that men would do to you, so do to them, for this is the law and the prophets.
- 22:18SPEAKER_00: Isn't that wonderful?
- 22:19SPEAKER_00: Ask me.
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: Seek.
- 22:21SPEAKER_00: Knock on the door.
- 22:23SPEAKER_00: See, God will never force his way in.
- 22:26SPEAKER_00: That tiny whispering sound, you have to open the door.
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: Now here's the next verses.
- 22:31SPEAKER_00: He's talking about the narrow gate.
- 22:34SPEAKER_00: Enter by the narrow gate.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: This is what we're talking about, Jesus Christ Himself.
- 22:38SPEAKER_00: For the gate is wide, and the way is easy, it seems to be when you're sitting with that proverbial frog, but it leads to destruction.
- 22:46SPEAKER_00: And those who enter it are many.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: Those that enter it are many.
- 22:52SPEAKER_00: For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those that ref those that find it are few.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: It's hard to climb out of that pot, huh?
- 23:02SPEAKER_00: Apathy has got you.
- 23:03SPEAKER_00: Evil is pushing you down.
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: You have to be liberated, you have to be free.
- 23:08SPEAKER_00: So brothers, the world has lied to you, and it's time to take charge of your own path.
- 23:12SPEAKER_00: You can play the blame game, you know, the the communist oppressor, a victim, oh you're a victim of this, you're a victim of that, but that is not going to get you anywhere.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: You're just going to grow old and bitter.
- 23:24SPEAKER_00: A man is made for more.
- 23:26SPEAKER_00: He's made for this battle.
- 23:27SPEAKER_00: That's why this is a Claymore sword.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: It's it's on you to take responsibility for your own education.
- 23:34SPEAKER_00: Doesn't matter what family or what schools you went to, trust me, you have to continue to go on.
- 23:39SPEAKER_00: This is all part of the, again, the Battle Plan Handbook.
- 23:42SPEAKER_00: It's going to show you how to do that.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: Because what are we doing?
- 23:45SPEAKER_00: We're searching for the truth of things.
- 23:47SPEAKER_00: You've been lied to.
- 23:49SPEAKER_00: You've been stuck in that pot.
- 23:50SPEAKER_00: It's time to get out.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: This is what a man does.
- 23:53SPEAKER_00: He asks, what is the truth of things?
- 23:55SPEAKER_00: What is reality?
- 23:56SPEAKER_00: And is everybody in this pot telling me reality?
- 23:59SPEAKER_00: A man could be a woman just because he dreams of this is crazy stuff.
- 24:04SPEAKER_00: When I was your age, a little younger probably, I settled in Denver, Colorado.
- 24:10SPEAKER_00: I became an amateur philosopher, huh?
- 24:12SPEAKER_00: What is the truth of things?
- 24:13SPEAKER_00: You know, good philosophy always starts out with awe and wonder.
- 24:17SPEAKER_00: I became an avid chess player.
- 24:20SPEAKER_00: You know, they I went to this big library and they had these butcher block board uh these these boards set up with two chairs, one on each side, and with the chessboard on it.
- 24:30SPEAKER_00: And you could play chess.
- 24:32SPEAKER_00: And so I was I was there with myself one day and I had a book on chess, and I'm I'm looking for opening moves, you know, practicing some some opening moves on this chessboard.
- 24:41SPEAKER_00: And while I was practicing those opening moves, I had been reading about uh Islam, socialism, and this uh you know already this was I would by before I graduated from high school, and this is after high school, by 1973, there was a law giving the women the right to murder their own children.
- 25:00SPEAKER_00: I'm thinking about that.
- 25:01SPEAKER_00: I said, this is against nature.
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: Why would anybody do that against natural moral law written on the human heart?
- 25:07SPEAKER_00: And then I realized the human heart is not in touch with God anymore.
- 25:11SPEAKER_00: We're just getting blown around by the spirit of the age, so yeah, I don't want to raise a baby and we will murder our own child.
- 25:17SPEAKER_00: I mean, you can't believe that the public school systems had already been starting to be captured.
- 25:22SPEAKER_00: They've gotten much, much worse.
- 25:24SPEAKER_00: But when we moved out of the city, I remember going to this school until I can get into the Catholic school called G.
- 25:29SPEAKER_00: Stanley Haw.
- 25:30SPEAKER_00: My uncle, I remember, was going to Horace Mann High School.
- 25:34SPEAKER_00: Well, both of these men worked to change education, making it scientific, etc.
- 25:39SPEAKER_00: The practical reality is God was removed.
- 25:43SPEAKER_00: You guys are a body and a soul.
- 25:45SPEAKER_00: The default position of a body and soul, you're sitting in that proverbial pot, is sin and death.
- 25:51SPEAKER_00: You have to receive grace that frees you, body and soul.
- 25:54SPEAKER_00: Plus, grace gives you the potential for human freedom, the potential for human flourishing.
- 26:00SPEAKER_00: But it takes that grace that coming into that gives you the power to do it, and then it takes your action.
- 26:05SPEAKER_00: And what action is this?
- 26:06SPEAKER_00: The ten five.
- 26:08SPEAKER_00: Ten minutes in the morning on your knees, five minutes at night.
- 26:11SPEAKER_00: This is not a big deal to start out with, right?
- 26:14SPEAKER_00: You have to start to see God in awe and wonder.
- 26:19SPEAKER_00: Man is just biological material, they say, but the baby in its mother's womb?
- 26:24SPEAKER_00: And you, you're more than that.
- 26:27SPEAKER_00: You know that.
- 26:27SPEAKER_00: You know, Psalm 139 says, You formed my innermost being.
- 26:31SPEAKER_00: You knit me in my mother's womb.
- 26:33SPEAKER_00: I praise you because I'm wonderfully, fearfully made.
- 26:38SPEAKER_00: How wonderful are your works.
- 26:40SPEAKER_00: How could people not see this?
- 26:42SPEAKER_00: How do they all how do they just sit in that pot when they look around and the forces that they're they're romancing about socialism, communism, a woman's right to kill, a person's right to be a trans person, a man sitting there just dreaming that he's a woman and he becomes a woman and takes a couple of pills.
- 27:01SPEAKER_00: The insanity, but it's really the attack on the innocent that really gets me, right?
- 27:05SPEAKER_00: If you take Christ out of your heart and out of the world, everything else will seek to tear down, plunder, and destroy.
- 27:13SPEAKER_00: I don't care if it's uh if it's Islam, socialism, communism, etc.
- 27:19SPEAKER_00: What do they do?
- 27:20SPEAKER_00: They're always attacking Jesus Christ, these gender ideologies, the the abortion people.
- 27:26SPEAKER_00: Look at how many churches are being born burned down in France, it's two and a half a day.
- 27:32SPEAKER_00: The total disregard for the human person.
- 27:36SPEAKER_00: So I wondered how does the uh person's heart become so dark that they just see human beings as objects to use, plunder, destroy.
- 27:45SPEAKER_00: This is communism.
- 27:46SPEAKER_00: I began to picture the white pieces now on the board.
- 27:49SPEAKER_00: Now I'm back to my chessboard.
- 27:51SPEAKER_00: The white pieces as this developed civilization, Christian uh civilization.
- 27:57SPEAKER_00: Christian civilization is just not in the West.
- 27:59SPEAKER_00: In fact, it started in the Middle East.
- 28:03SPEAKER_00: That's in a place like Syria and Egypt were profoundly Christian.
- 28:08SPEAKER_00: There's a city called Alexandria, Egypt.
- 28:11SPEAKER_00: They used to describe it, they were described it as the most beautiful city and very wealthy and a center and a center of culture.
- 28:19SPEAKER_00: Then in 641, about the middle of the seventh century, the city was ransacked and people slaughtered by Islam, by Muslims, and carried away as slaves, women raped, men tortured, etc.
- 28:33SPEAKER_00: What I realized was that to build an advanced civilization takes time and sacrifice by a virtuous people.
- 28:43SPEAKER_00: The beauty of the churches they built there, the beauty of the architecture, the beauty of the culture.
- 28:49SPEAKER_00: Built in the Middle Ages by hand, you could still see so many of these in Europe, by artists and craftsmen who were artists without heavy equipment.
- 28:59SPEAKER_00: Imagine the work that this took, uh shaping stones and making these beautiful cathedrals that you can't make.
- 29:06SPEAKER_00: They just can't make today.
- 29:07SPEAKER_00: The ancient Greeks, 400 years before Jesus, already spoke, right?
- 29:12SPEAKER_00: Aristotle, Plato, Socrates already spoke and wrote about this.
- 29:16SPEAKER_00: We call it today the Transcendentals.
- 29:18SPEAKER_00: Everything that's true, good and beautiful, and they would dwell on that.
- 29:23SPEAKER_00: They would spend time in silence.
- 29:25SPEAKER_00: They would look around and see the evil around them, but they said, no, this can be changed.
- 29:30SPEAKER_00: You know, Socrates died for that stuff.
- 29:33SPEAKER_00: That's what it means when a man's mind and his heart is quiet.
- 29:38SPEAKER_00: The natural, the way we're built, huh, is to seek the truth.
- 29:43SPEAKER_00: It's to choose the good.
- 29:45SPEAKER_00: And the fruit of that in your life is beauty, the beauty that comes on the inside, and the beauty of a life built in the world.
- 29:54SPEAKER_00: Relationships, people that you love.
- 29:56SPEAKER_00: That's why the fifth thing, the fifth part of that ten-minute claymore morning ritual is to love the next person you see, to develop these virtues of love, and to realize it's not so easy all the time that you need grace, huh?
- 30:09SPEAKER_00: When I choose the good, I become good, and then in turn I do good, and finally I am good as a person.
- 30:16SPEAKER_00: Now, I thought about the black chess players there, the barbarians that were coming into the walls, and they're doing this today too, who did not create the beauty or the civilization, but sought to plunder and destroy what others had spent decades and sometimes centuries to build.
- 30:33SPEAKER_00: And it's always the demonic that shows up to attack and destroy what?
- 30:37SPEAKER_00: Visible signs of Christianity.
- 30:39SPEAKER_00: Watch this.
- 30:40SPEAKER_00: What are all these ideologies all have in mind?
- 30:43SPEAKER_00: They hate Christ and his church.
- 30:45SPEAKER_00: They'll take down priests, they even infiltrate it and try to get in from the inside.
- 30:50SPEAKER_00: And this is what we have going on now, right?
- 30:53SPEAKER_00: The people who profess Jesus Christ, you see it being an attack, huh?
- 30:57SPEAKER_00: More churches have been destroyed, and more martyrs have been made in the 20th and 20th century than any time in history.
- 31:04SPEAKER_00: Okay, so just now act.
- 31:06SPEAKER_00: Own your education.
- 31:08SPEAKER_00: It puts you on a narrow path and a lifelong quest to discover the awe and wonder of the universe and the human person created in God's image.
- 31:16SPEAKER_00: The deeper you go, the more astonished you'll be.
- 31:19SPEAKER_00: So put down those phones, especially in the morning.
- 31:22SPEAKER_00: Always, always knees before the phone.
- 31:24SPEAKER_00: Limit those video games.
- 31:26SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying just to cold turkey them, but stop the porn for sure.
- 31:31SPEAKER_00: And other time wasters like doom scrolling on social media.
- 31:35SPEAKER_00: Just start simple, fifteen minutes a day out of those two hours that were quasi wasting.
- 31:42SPEAKER_00: Knees before the phone, read one of those acts and I start then slowly getting into a little scripture, etc., like I'm saying.
- 31:50SPEAKER_00: In a short time, you'll be shocked by how far you've come.
- 31:54SPEAKER_00: Hey, God bless you.
- 31:56SPEAKER_00: Email me if you have any questions.
- 31:58SPEAKER_00: Always good to be with you guys.
- 32:00SPEAKER_00: I'm going out and going to be doing more and more speaking at various parishes and community places and stuff.
- 32:06SPEAKER_00: So make sure you're on our newsletter.
- 32:08SPEAKER_00: You'll be able to see I have a new talk.
- 32:11SPEAKER_00: And I'm going to keep doing this for a while.
- 32:13SPEAKER_00: Gen Z has the questions.
- 32:15SPEAKER_00: Do you have the answers?
- 32:17SPEAKER_00: Gen Z has the questions.
- 32:18SPEAKER_00: Do you have the answers?
- 32:19SPEAKER_00: And the reason it's worded like that is because I want it to attract young people that have questions, but also the older people that were sitting in that pot.
- 32:27SPEAKER_00: They need to get out and we we do this together.
- 32:30SPEAKER_00: This is not condemning anybody.
- 32:32SPEAKER_00: This is not saying anybody, look, we're all sinners.
- 32:35SPEAKER_00: We're all coming into the story.
- 32:37SPEAKER_00: What does Jesus say?
- 32:38SPEAKER_00: Just ask, seek, knock.
- 32:41SPEAKER_00: If a man asked for bread, would his dad give him a stone?
- 32:45SPEAKER_00: If he asked for a fish, would he hand him a snake, a serpent?
- 32:48SPEAKER_00: No.
- 32:49SPEAKER_00: Just think your father, Jesus said, is so good.
- 32:53SPEAKER_00: Think if you're evil and you wouldn't do those things, think about your father who is all good.
- 32:59SPEAKER_00: Think about what he wants to do.
- 33:01SPEAKER_00: He wants to be in your life, but you're going to have to be quiet.
- 33:04SPEAKER_00: You have to settle down.
- 33:05SPEAKER_00: You have to get into prayer.
- 33:07SPEAKER_00: And it's going to bring you some peace.
