- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: The liberal globalist order is on its brink and awakening a new conservative age.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_00]: Dr. Steve Turley, join me every day as we discover answers to today's toughest challenges and explore the re-bondalization of conservative civilization.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_00]: This is Turley Talks.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_00]: What if I told you that one of the most celebrated video game studios in history and joined by millions around the world just got shut down out of nowhere?
- 0:31[SPEAKER_00]: Its employees are out of work, its main office is closing and their next big video game release has officially been canceled.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
- 0:40[SPEAKER_00]: Well gamers around the world have a definite answer.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: They became the latest company to go woke and as a result, they predictably went broke.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_00]: Stick them at the very end of this video because we're going to discover precisely why wokeness is destroying companies all over the place and why we can say with certainty that the era of wokeness has indeed come to a colossal end.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, gang, it's me, Dr. Steve, your Patre Professor, and today we've got a little lesson on the colossal fall of wokeness, meet the employees of BioWare, an enmity-based game development studio owned and operated by electronic arts.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_00]: For years BioWare was considered one of the most influential role-playing studios in gaming history.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: It created enormous fantasy and science fiction worlds, memorable characters, complex mole choices, and stories that players still discuss decades later.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_00]: But just days ago, Electronic Arts officially announced that BioWare and its Edmonton workspace was done.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_00]: They were shutting down operations.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_00]: Approximately 50 bioware jobs were reportedly eliminated as part of roughly 400 cuts across electronic arts and executives at EA didn't merely close the building.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_00]: They also pulled the plug on the next big video game release called Mass Effect.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_00]: A game first announced in 2020 that since garnered millions of players worldwide, the game is more popular than ever.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_00]: There's in fact an online petition that's already gathered hundreds of thousands of signatures, so what happened?
- 2:23[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we need to look no further than the studio's final major release, Dragon Age the Vail Guard.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_00]: It's marketed as a medieval fantasy adventure, but it's literally a wash in ridiculous and preachy self-righteous walkness.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_00]: One major storyline follows a character named Tash, a horn canary warrior who comes to identify as non-binary.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_00]: But instead of exploring identity through the traditions, language, and mythology of the game's fantasy world,
- 2:59[SPEAKER_00]: BioWare drops unmistakably modern gender terminology directly into the dialogue, and the result feels less like a conversation between fantasy adventurers and more like somebody open a university diversity seminar in the middle of a medieval tavern.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: In one widely mocked example, another character accidentally uses the wrong pronoun for Tash, and rather than simply apologizing and moving on, she drops to the floor and performs push-ups as a ritual of atonement.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: Then after finishing the exercise, she delivers an extended explanation about the correct way to apologize, telling everyone why making a quick apology could supposedly place too much attention on the person who made the mistake.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: I think about the irony here.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_00]: She supposedly wants to avoid making the incident about herself so she performs a physical spectacle commands everyone's attention and then gives the entire group a lecture about why her method of apologizing is superior.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_00]: The scene was reportedly so clumsy that it bordered on self-parity.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_00]: Bioware had replaced subtle storytelling with preachy, immersion-breaking dialogue that sounded like it came straight out of an HR seminar.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_00]: And that's the difference between representation and propaganda.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: Representation invites the audience into a story, propaganda stops the story, turns toward the audience, and begins finger pointing, delivering virtues signaling instructions.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: And gamers told BioWare precisely where they can stick that.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: They came to fight dragons.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: They didn't come to receive mandatory sensitivity training.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_00]: And then the numbers arrived.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: The veil guard attracted approximately 1.5 million players during its launch quarter.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_00]: That was 50% below the company's expectations.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_00]: And these were what are called engaged players or players engaged, meaning that they didn't necessarily buy the game.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: They just got access to play it, either through subscriptions or trials.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: It was a marketing disaster.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_00]: The studio reportedly fell from more than 200 employees during production to fewer than 100.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_00]: Veteran writers, editors, producers, designers, either left were transferred or they were laid off.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_00]: By the time EA finally closed the doors, only about 50 people reportedly remained.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_00]: But here's where the story gets even more interesting.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: veteran game writer Chris Avalon later alleged that an unnamed biowear producer examined job applicants linked in activities and this producer opposed hiring people after discovering political or social posts that the producer didn't like.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: If true, that means qualifications and talent took a back seat to ideological conformity, which, of course, raises a devastating question.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: What happens when everybody in a creative room thinks exactly the same way?
- 6:21[SPEAKER_00]: What happens when creativity and talent are replaced with groupthink?
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: Is this the key to why everything woke turns to Dung in the King James Version?
- 6:33[SPEAKER_00]: Well, before we answer that, let me ask you something.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: wouldn't it be nice to have more control over your financial future instead of constantly worrying about what the economy might throw it to next?
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, with prices rising and uncertainty everywhere, hardworking Americans are looking for new ways to build financial freedom.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_00]: And that's why I'm so excited to tell you that my good friend Troy Newton, the backpack trader, is hosting a special

- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: When I came across this now defunct company BioWare, I immediately thought of the kind of crises and the inevitable failures that result from something called BioLeninism.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: The reason why BioWare failed is because of its adherence to BioLeninism.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: It's a great term.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_00]: BioLeninism is basically the notion that inevitably
- 8:14[SPEAKER_00]: woke identity politics always ends up placing at the top of their social hierarchy, their social pyramid leaders and professionals and executives who are the last people in the planet who should be in leadership or professional positions.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_00]: So it basically works like this.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_00]: Whereas traditional Leninism, right, Marxist Leninism, promoted adherence through the ranks by virtue of their ideological fidelity to Marxism, by a Leninism promotes, or in this case, hires people, more in the basis of their identity and the resemblance to victim classes.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: And so, and this is absolutely key.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: Bioleninism being a Marxist-inspired identity politics promotes their ideological faithful through the ranks, not because of their competence.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: But because of their ideological fidelity, or in this case, because of the number of identity politics boxes that they can check off.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_00]: And what that inevitably does is it ends up enthroning and enshrining as their leaders, those people whose lack of competence and skills renders them most unlikely to assume leadership positions.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: And so, bioleninism inevitably suffers from a competency crisis.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: It's precise because competency has been replaced by identity as the primary screening procedure for positions of leadership.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_00]: Because identity trumps competence by a Leninist movement inevitably put into leadership, the people least competent to lead.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: Traditional Leninism promoted people for loyalty to Marxism, its modern identity political version rewards ideological conformity and victim status and the key consequence here is that any institution choosing leaders by identity and political loyalty rather than ability eventually selects against excellence.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_00]: Mediocrity becomes an advantage.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_00]: Decent becomes disqualifying, and the people most dependent upon the system become its most faithful enforcers.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_00]: That may secure ideological obedience for a time, but it also creates an unavoidable competency crisis.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: Once identity outranks merit, failures no longer an accident, failures actually built into the system.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: And that's precisely what happened to BioWare.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_00]: When you prioritize ideological fidelity to creativeness, to storytelling, to inventiveness, you get groupthink.
- 11:05[SPEAKER_00]: You get writers congratulating one another for delivering important messages while the actual customers quietly walk away.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: Your customers don't owe you applause.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_00]: They don't owe you purchases, and they certainly don't owe you loyalty after you accuse them of moral failure
- 11:26[SPEAKER_00]: In the end, it does appear that bioleninism killed bioware.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_00]: Nothing takes down a company like a competency crisis and nothing guarantees a competency crisis more than wokeness.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_00]: And that's why President Trump was brilliant when he pointed out simply everything woke turns to tongue.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_00]: The tongue is literally part of the woke system.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_00]: BioWare is but the latest moral tale proving the age-old adage that's become really a fundamental all the universe.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_00]: If you get woke, don't be surprised if you go broke.
