- 0:21with Wayne Dandy. You may began to lean up, gang, can you
- 0:26win met? Frank me down that come to wo come to Cork, get

- 0:39gonna go on the way you began. Welcome, Welcome, Welcome. I'm
- 0:47listening to the spot Shock Show. I am the sport Shock Wayne Gandee,
- 0:51and I hope you call it. You know we're able to keep it cool
- 0:54this weekend. He waved around, Uh, the country. All of us
- 1:00are sweating here in Atlanta got up around ninety seven, ninety eight, the
- 1:04original hot Atlanta. For you that don't know the nineties, this is the
- 1:10kind of heat you moved here. You thought you was in Florida for the
- 1:12summer, and then all the climate will might not want to say that.
- 1:19After yesterday's protests out on the golf course, people acting, let's start right
- 1:25there. Sometimes I know where to start. Sometimes I don't command to you.
- 1:29Greg but I have been saying for a while now that we can quickly
- 1:38and easily minimize I feel ninety percent of protesters that interrupt the actual field of
- 1:49play, meaning that they run out into the event, onto the basketball court,
- 1:57onto the field, onto the pitch, onto the golf course, simply
- 2:04by making it a federal crime and a three year minimum. That's it,
- 2:15y'all was working, that's all. Make it a federal crime, because federal
- 2:20crime means that it's stuck on your record for a long time. It's not
- 2:23like a state crime where you can quickly go and do a couple of song
- 2:28and dances and get it removed. Make it a federal crime with a three
- 2:35year minimum. Now, let your organizer come in in and try to convince
- 2:40you to run out onto the course yesterday on the eighteenth green knowing that,
- 2:50let's see how real committed you are to the cause. Federal crime, three
- 2:58year minimum. It was six people who ran out yesterday on that eighteenth hole.
- 3:05Scotti Scheffler winning in a playoff on the eighteenth it's six or seventh victory
- 3:12here in the last run of a year or two. He's just dominating right
- 3:17now, going to playoffs. Six people ran out on the eighteenth. They
- 3:21had to Paul's the tournament until they got him off. They had orange smoke,
- 3:27regular smoke. How many of those six are ready to do three year
- 3:37minimum? Fed? Maybe one? No, it was a lot zero.
- 3:49Somebody ain't never talked to the faith. I said, you is a total
- 3:54up and down back at Maybe you ain't get hold on. Make sure I
- 4:06ain't. So you're saying that, No, none of those people pated for
- 4:14the three year minimum fed none, first of all. So let me say
- 4:16three year minimums first of all. Big Kenny the funny man himself, Good
- 4:19morning, sir, Good morning, Command Greg the man from Oklahoma, Good
- 4:24morning, sir, Good morning, and from parts on known of South Carolina,
- 4:28the bad producer is in the building. Good morning, sir, Good
- 4:30morning. Yesterday mandatory three years. But remember I've been on this a while.
- 4:35Yes you have, Yes, you have run out on the baseball,
- 4:39about all sports, about ten years, changing yourself and gluing yourself to the
- 4:44court. I'm about all those instants. Say no, that's not new.
- 4:46You ain't got to touch nobody, because remember, what I'm offering you is
- 4:51that you're in complete knowledge that you have you don't belong. That's violation.
- 5:00You incomplete this. This isn't a mistake. You are delivering some cheese burgers
- 5:04to a certain address and ended up in center field. No, and you
- 5:12intentionally have to go on to there's a rope. No, it's a lot
- 5:16of things they got to get through talking about. When you get your golf
- 5:20course, I've never been. When you get around the hall, there's a
- 5:24rope that's sitting there signifying this. As far as you go, you ain't
- 5:29supposed to talk, but you look like Brendan out on the course. Talk
- 5:35when his backhand, when you see his back head, when they do like
- 5:39this, when the people around the rope, that was what you're talking about
- 5:43with credentials whisper. So, my man, it's about to go. If
- 5:48you gave him three years in the face minimum minimum, that ain't like minimum
- 5:53state where you get three years and be out in four months. In the
- 5:57FAED, you about ninety percent of the time talking like somebody ain't never talked
- 6:03to the fans Gonna make you do everything but ten percent of that time,
- 6:08day for day, and then let you out and keep it on your record
- 6:12everywhere you go. So these people would not be willing to risk that because
- 6:15see this is why they do it, because here in America, what you
- 6:19have made, we have made protesting. What is the what do you imagine
- 6:25the penalty for what they did yesterday? Really is a fine and some community
- 6:30off on a dead planet. Banned from the course and fine, maybe community
- 6:39service, I bet you if you take I like the idea from that that
- 6:46particular course, which they probably don't even play it. They don't play there,
- 6:49they don't live there, they don't know, That's what I mean.
- 6:51So they banning from the back now and uh mistermeanory were eight hundred dollars,
- 7:00But I understand the federal especially if they if they cross state lines just to
- 7:03get there. Well, I'm looking, I'm looking at the video. They've
- 7:08got smoke canisters in their hand. How do I know that's not an excelsion?
- 7:13How do I know that's not an incendiary devicement to burn someone or make
- 7:16somebody pass out? How do I know you don't have some sort of accelerate
- 7:21out on the course and you're trying to light it. What if one of
- 7:25them got hit across the forehead with a billy club Dean had to do three
- 7:29years mental well, and the part why I'm saying is federal because I'm talking
- 7:31about when something is organized. Yes, I'm not talking about when you and
- 7:36your friends go golf and no amount of license promoted event is going on.
- 7:47The Braves are playing the Yankees over at Truest. You decide because you think
- 7:55it's funny, or you have a cause to jump down that wall and run
- 7:59out there. To me, when those games, that is federal, that's
- 8:03federal. And if you got alcohol on your breath, the constitute a guy
- 8:07when you have those kind of just like incidents at a park need to start
- 8:11being federal when you go to a park anywhere. If that is not something
- 8:18you're saying is a part down every by the lake that y'all have just decided
- 8:24to pull in that part you come down here, you should know this is
- 8:30federal property and you're gonna do federal time day for day. And you know
- 8:35what, if you do something that you know, whether drunk or high,
- 8:39it should be enhanced. But you know what else I want to do is
- 8:43also expose these people who they are, what what they do, what are
- 8:48they doing? Supposed to be climate control, which I don't know, what
- 8:52has to do know what I'm saying. What I'm saying is like no,
- 8:56like yesterday, that I mean last about two years ago as a young lady
- 9:00come find out there's breaking windows. She's a freaking da in New York City.
- 9:05She was protesting busting out windows when they got video over. So I
- 9:07want to know who these people are, like you said, when they run
- 9:09it out, who's your leader? Is he willing to take that time for
- 9:13you to push you to go there? Are you willing to be that sacrifice
- 9:16you want? You won't name? Yeah, I mean I want to know
- 9:22you who is this? Oh? This he's the president of such and such
- 9:24bank. You running out here on the golf course doing it? Oh,
- 9:28you need to go right. And they've done that what they consider sexist or
- 9:33racist, and they they exposed them, and they find out where they work
- 9:37and say, let's cancel these people. But I don't understand what golf has
- 9:41to do with killing the planet. It's the most well because of the chemicals
- 9:48that they're used on the golf course to pesticides and different things to uh make
- 9:52the greens. That's why they were throwing stuff from the greens because the green
- 9:56costers are averaged forty thousand dollars and to take care of a budget, to
- 10:01take care of a nice private golf course like that. The budget just alone,
- 10:03just the golf course is a million plus. I understand that. But
- 10:07your neighbor is spraying pesticides on their roses, protests that they house. Well,
- 10:13why why are you out here? Put some iron eight out what a
- 10:16couple of days ago I got I got my yard dude to do. That's
- 10:20what I'm saying. Hey, man, make sure you get these weeds.
- 10:22Spray a little something on these weeds. I mean, you ain't at my
- 10:26house, because you know at my house you're gonna get the billy club and
- 10:30the three years minimum something. I don't care what it is. But you're
- 10:33gonna fil and the cracks. That's all I'm saying. It doesn't do any
- 10:43good just to pool sometimes the pool and spray. And so those people know
- 10:48that those nice parks that they like to go to and have their annual meetings,
- 10:54what you think they're doing all that green space maintain You ain't noticed that
- 10:58the park grass seem to always be greener than yours. Something they don't ever
- 11:05seem to be on the water restriction ever, never they you can watch the
- 11:11dude out there pulling the bag of blue nitrogen off the truck and putting it
- 11:16in the drop spreader and going through the park where nobody's protesting at the park.
- 11:20Why are you at this golf championship? Yeah, so all I know,
- 11:24Commands, you've been Kenny badproducer, got a great show for you.
- 11:28But when I saw that, I was like, this is what I'm saying.
- 11:31You can quickly knock out at least ninety percent of the people that are
- 11:37doing it, if not higher with federal and some like three. That's the
- 11:45thing. We don't really be trying to get rid of the problem now.
- 11:48And that's why the problem never goes away. Because if you on the phone
- 11:52call just to connect somebody to feel if you're gonna do eighteen months wet because
- 11:58they would have sworn Shuffler was wrong if he'd have watched somebody club Yeah,
- 12:03because the man already probably scared, thinking like people coming at him or whatever.
- 12:07We'll be back or a sports jock show right after this. She want
- 12:18that old things back, pretty young team, what that old g track?

- 15:05the sports job. Wayne Gandy. The Jock of the Day is sponsored by
- 15:11Mattress HEROESUSA dot com the sleep you deserve at a price you can afford.
- 15:16No, no, no no, It's time to present the Jock of the
- 15:18Day on the Sports Jock Shows. Taking it to a completely different level this
- 15:22year where we highlight an accolete that has taken their game to the next level
- 15:35and get close to me jobs in a p and I'm going to take him
- 15:43back to still got a little more. What about this what Shock show?
- 15:50I'm just what shock? Wayne, game to Good morning to you out there
- 15:54in this thing land. We were just talking about protesters and real quickly I
- 15:58understand. One of my early years with the Rams, we had a player,
- 16:03linebacker, great player, Leonard Little. He was out of Tennessee,
- 16:07I think he was born and raised in Georgia. Went to Tennessee, first
- 16:11round, second round pick to the Rams. We all went out to celebrate
- 16:15his twenty four twenty fifth birthday, and he a couple of miles well it
- 16:22really wasn't even a couple miles. A couple of blocks away from the hotel
- 16:25that we were at. He hit a lady that was headed to pick up
- 16:30her son. The lady passed Mothers against Drunk Driving, which at that time
- 16:36probably had the loudest bull horn in the country. And each and every home
- 16:41game the rest of that season they protest, but it was just organized.
- 16:47They were there early. It was one of those things that you drove up
- 16:51to it outside the stadium and it was just one of those Lord, you
- 16:56know, you're already trying to get focused and then you got two three,
- 17:03four hundred crime mothers outside of the stadium. It was very impactful, you
- 17:07know. And then they would wear their T shirts to the game. All
- 17:11that is within the confines of protesting. None of them ran out on the
- 17:17field. Now them ran into the locker room, now that's not that's that's
- 17:22breaking the law. At that point. They never stormed his home, and
- 17:27that's all we're talking about with that. I think it's something that can quickly
- 17:30be fixed. We just have to want to go out and fix that problem.
- 17:37Great time on Friday Night, went down to State Farm Arena and caught
- 17:41the Indiana Fever. Caitlyn Clark and their teammates came into the ATL taking on
- 17:48the Dream. One of the two games that the Dream had to move from
- 17:53their small arena over by the airport to the big arena, and it paid
- 18:00dividends. Seventeen thousand, six hundred people sell out is what Caitlyn Clark brought
- 18:10to the ATL. You really got to see the needle moving. You got
- 18:15to see why I feel like US basketball is missing. It's about introducing and
- 18:23bringing out when you can bring out Lemon Pepper, Lou Lou Williams, who
- 18:30they by the way, they asked a wing question. I thought it was
- 18:37very interesting and he went along with it. They was asking spicy or lemon
- 18:40pepper? And what do you say lemon pepper? Said, I'm gonna drop
- 18:47him off the menu. You better say sweet limon pepper. Lou, and
- 18:51I want to hear the whole name. I prefer sweet Limon peer. But
- 18:56he was in attendance. I was in the building Alan Iverson h the answer
- 19:03is what they used to call him. He was in the building giving support
- 19:07and in just a game that At first I was sitting there watching it,
- 19:11and then I looked up about second quarter and realized, it's so loud in
- 19:15here. When the last time? When the last time you saw a Dream
- 19:21game in State Farm Arena? They had about five years ago because they haven't
- 19:29been there, they put him out. Basically, they couldn't got evicted,
- 19:33they couldn't bring up the rent. Yes, okay, and now regular season
- 19:38game, just regular season game, Yes, had to move it to the
- 19:42big place you got kicked out of. I think the arena that they typically
- 19:45playing whole about five thousand people, thirty five hundred, okay, look at
- 19:49that, and so that's three or four times. Yeah, it was seventeen
- 19:55five hundred and seventy five fans came out and this old didn't have enough credibility
- 20:00to go to the Olympics. Can Can we say that hate and jealousy and
- 20:11the desire to disrupt have taken over sensibilities in business because the people with the
- 20:19golf tournament. Somehow, the people who organize these events see protesting is that
- 20:26way as something similar to acceptable. It might not be one hundred percent right,
- 20:32but this America, you can do it. Caitlyn Clark should be on
- 20:37the Olympic team. But whatever voices the business people are listening to did not
- 20:41want her there. This every single game she plays up to the Olympics,
- 20:47she ought to play it and then put the attendance number up on social media.
- 20:52Oh. Everything I've ever seen with her playing is a sellout. Everything
- 20:56wherever she goes, she takes a sellout. And I'm sure Jersey's got sold
- 21:00Yesterday against the Sky, the Fever loss by one to Chicago and the Sky
- 21:06up in Chicago, it was a sellout from what they knew in their records.
- 21:11It was the highest average ticket price. It was about three hundred and
- 21:15sixty dollars to get into this Sky game couch of Chicago, Barbie. It
- 21:22was a great game. Angel Reichs played strong. And one thing about the
- 21:26WNBA that's different than the NBA. The WNBA still has kind of like that
- 21:32old school power forwards and centers and things like that. A lot of their
- 21:37buckets are move the ball back in that kind of day. It's not the
- 21:41whole just come down and shoot. They actually run plays and things like that.
- 21:45But great game yesterday. Both Stars put up big numbers for their team.
- 21:52The Sky came back from fifteen and won the game, but another sellout.
- 21:59And if you remember when we were talking about the Olympics, my whole
- 22:02suggestion was to send Caitlin Angel the young lady just got hurt. Yeah,
- 22:12I said, Condo car Dosa. But we didn't know her Citizens Facilion at
- 22:18this point. So I was just trying to milk the whole presence of them,
- 22:23even if their player eight, nine, ten, eleven, just they
- 22:29don't have to they don't have to be player one through seven. I can
- 22:32say a rees with a USA patch on the front. You can sell a
- 22:34jersey that's say Reese on the back with the USA patch on the front.
- 22:38It could say Clark, and that well, you know is you know what
- 22:41sort of I call bs on it because even with the means that year when
- 22:45they bought in Christian Layner, he hadn't been doing any training before. Remember
- 22:49when he bought him on the Dream Team, then playing in the final first,
- 22:53and then for old On because you just start in the middle and then
- 22:57try to back. In those days, they used to hold a spot for
- 23:03the player of the year in college basketball. The twelfth person was the college
- 23:07that's in Krishton Lachner at that time was the best college basketball player. That's
- 23:12how he ended up on the Dream Team. So that is not equivalent to
- 23:18this. We'll be back with more to sports Jock show. That emotion thing
- 23:26was that you He's gonna tell a whole lot nobody thinks water sports jock shows
- 23:37on the in the rossprinted window John bo Wayne Born of the Sports john S
- 23:48Hill with Wayne Dampi is coming up next. Never completely ready to adopt a

- 26:57Welcome I to the Sports Out Show. I'm just what Shack, Wayne
- 27:00kan d uh comanch you, Greg Bad producer, Big Kenny All in the
- 27:06studio Comanche and Bad Producer. Do me a favor. Name me the US
- 27:11women's basketball team that's going to the Olympics. Name me those players, Uh
- 27:21Dance Rossi, Britney Griner, Kelsey Plumb Sabrina in that school, Brown Stewart,
- 27:26Branda Stewart, Asia Wilson, Oh girl, Jackie Young, oh girl,
- 27:33no oh girl, no no no, let them let them let him
- 27:41focus. Y'all have seven? I need five more. Those are the ones
- 27:57I know, and that ship been to pitch meet and what I'm saying that
- 28:02should have been the marketing pitch meeting right there. Name them. Those are
- 28:07the ones we're gonna put our money behind. Name them. But they've been
- 28:10winning the goal. But I'm saying, if Angel Reese and Caitlyn Clark were
- 28:15on there, you think you would have been on set those two names by
- 28:21now. You just said that's the question. Yes, Baptists, I'm talking.
- 28:29I don't need you to telle. I need you to talk to me.
- 28:32If those two people are on the team, would you already know that?
- 28:37Yes? Okay, that's my point when you were asking me, So
- 28:41two of the most well known basketball players in your league you're not going to
- 28:45the Olympics with, but you say you want to increase viewership in marketing?
- 28:56How does that work? Maitland and Angel would most likely get you the free
- 29:03plane. Delta would send the plane just to get both of them to ride
- 29:10on it. Together to pass the ball to each other in a commercial,
- 29:18and you know, the endorsements would have been there, but would have been
- 29:22there. I understand, No, you we were just at breaking You was
- 29:26kind of confused. I'm saying, I understand that. I understand, Like,
- 29:30that's not what who team USA Basketball was thinking about. They're not thinking
- 29:38about the exposure or the wership or anything that w NBA might be trying to
- 29:45push. They're just concerned about winning the goal. It was just about basketball.
- 29:51And if it's just about basketball, then there Britney Grinder, who hasn't
- 30:00even played a lot this year because of her issues in Russia. Thought that
- 30:07Britney Grounder is not one of the top centers in the league anymore. These
- 30:14young girls have come and surpassed her. She has gone to the whole another
- 30:18light Downald Rossi is forty two years old. She is not considered one in
- 30:23the top three at her position. She's still is still known and and still
- 30:33go it's being known. So gentlemen, man, they made this about just
- 30:41still play. It's not about marketability. It's about it's understanding that Britney Grinder
- 30:47wouldn't be there. Okay, So what I'm saying is what I think is
- 30:49a bit disingenuous is maybe USA Basketball made some decisions and they gave w NBA
- 30:56players a voice and influence on how those decisions were carried out. The w
- 31:03n b A players, who have been screaming for equity and free planes and
- 31:07all of that, let their egos get in the way of them making a
- 31:11pathway for what it is they've been demanding since the league started. You want
- 31:15me to put the people who feel like they deserve to be there more than
- 31:21the people who can move this sport forward. And that's all I'm saying.
- 31:25And for the w n b A players to sit back and be complicit in
- 31:29that, it's for them to be disingenuous when you screaming at me to pay
- 31:33for free flights, but you could have made a way for your own free
- 31:37flights. It's check. They have stuff that you have to go through.
- 31:41Now, if they would have skipped, if her angel would have skipped over
- 31:45everything to put them on the team, then what does that look? Then
- 31:48you have everybody what was the purpose of having this skipped over? Well?
- 31:52You they they've been practicing for you. Yeah, they fell off because y'all
- 32:01stopped sending the best players, and you start sending who you knew I've set
- 32:08in locker rooms, and guys got voted onto the Pro Bowl and made All
- 32:13Pro teams and only played two games, said ray Lewis, to every Pro
- 32:20Bowl that he could go to, when sometimes he only played four games in
- 32:23the season. Once you was grandfather, then y'all just kept sending them back
- 32:30in there. You had to give nobody a chance to get into the Pro
- 32:34Bowl. It's the same thing in the NBA All Star Game. It's the
- 32:39same names. Y'all don't even look to see. If Trey Young here the
- 32:44shot we're gonna send this guy, he just go The voting went to fan
- 32:52voting. So whoever the most popular player is who you sin? Why did
- 32:54the NBA do that because of the jersey sales Diana Trassi doesn't give them any
- 33:04better chance to win a goal than Caitlyn Clark. Women's basketball around the world
- 33:10has not picked up. That's why the US women still dominate the way they
- 33:16do, and as dominant as they are, they still can't break even for
- 33:28the entire told me they was gonna make you say, they're gonna lose fifty
- 33:30million dollars the whole league. The whole league lost fifty million. Gotcha?
- 33:37Now, anybody else lose fifty million, finna lose a job or a plug
- 33:39fan to come looking for them. JJ Reddick is now the new head coach
- 33:44of the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers made a move for Dan Hurley to
- 33:51come out of Yukon to be the head coach. That did not work.
- 33:55But JJ Reddick, who has been announcing here since he's retired, has decided
- 34:01to take the job with the Lakers. Uh, it'd be interesting. It's
- 34:07a four year deal to see how this works out with JJ Reddick. But
- 34:10we got to remember this is the NBA and forever the NBA, all the
- 34:15way back to Bill Russell. Bill Russell was a player coach. Uh,
- 34:22yes, how he started. He might have been the first player coach.
- 34:25I think he was the first player that actually was all right, you pass
- 34:32it to me, I'm gonna go down hello, and then I'm gonna pitch
- 34:36it off to you. You make sure I get the ball for the last
- 34:37shot. So to see, he wasn't. He wanted the score like that,
- 34:40so he would tell everybody else what to do. But he would still
- 34:44be there, okay, and if I get it, if I get a
- 34:46rebound, I'm gonna pass it to you. But so it's not unprecedented to
- 34:51hire someone without coaching experience. The NBA specializes. We've made many jokes even
- 34:58on this show, how on one side of the complex a person will retire
- 35:05and then they will go through the other door and then they accept the head
- 35:08coaching job. That's Jason Kidd. It's just how it was. And Jason
- 35:12Kidd was just in the finals as the head coach of the Dallas Mavericks.
- 35:15So you can't use that as some kind of oh, well he doesn't coach.
- 35:19Well, that would be everybody that's been a head coach for the INN,
- 35:25the NBA, former players, all the up way down to Magic Johnson
- 35:30and Larry Bird, those guys that never coached. They just made him the
- 35:35coach the coach and let them coach. And that's why I said people like
- 35:37Chris Paul could easily retire and be a coach the next year. JJ Reddick
- 35:44has a relationship from what I've we've been reading or talking about with Lebron James,
- 35:49so that probably helps. Lebron James looks like he'll be around. Lease,
- 35:52I'll give him two more years. Has you got to get this one
- 35:55year where he tries to chase a title? And I don't know if some
- 36:00of these players like Anthony Davis, someone like JJ Reddick might have played with.
- 36:06So going from a coaching and the Lakers, as we talked about with
- 36:08like the Dallas Cowboys, seem to like a coach that the owner and the
- 36:15GM can have a lot of input with. Yeah, when they hire even
- 36:21if the coach has some the Frank Vogel, but they didn't, Frank still
- 36:24had to listen to them. They never really get the coach that doesn't have
- 36:29to listen. I think the last coach they had like that for them was
- 36:31Phil Jackson. They wanted him to but he just wasn't happening. Since then
- 36:37they get a more of a puppet. Well, do you believe that Lebron
- 36:42was uninvolved the report that Lebron was completely uninvolved with the Sure interview or anything
- 36:49like that. I know they consulted him. Now whether he was in the
- 36:58room asking asking questions, no, not not he was in a room during
- 37:02the interview, but just that they talk to him at all about you know
- 37:07what he thinks? Man, they've been doing a talk show together. But
- 37:10he's but he says he was uninvolved with the coach in search, so he
- 37:15had they didn't ask him for any kind of insight. Well, he might
- 37:20just mean I didn't put anybody's name forward. When you came to me,
- 37:24you asked me, I'm thinking about hiring this guy. But that doesn't that
- 37:28happen everywhere. You think Trey Young didn't have some input here in Atlanta,
- 37:35You think they just hired a coach and never asked him about it. I
- 37:37think that's what in this situation, what Lebron may want you to believe that
- 37:44he like, no, they didn't. I didn't have anything to do with
- 37:46that to what extent though, to where like he didn't put his name forward.
- 37:54It was just maybe a coincidence that they do a podcast together, okay,
- 38:00and they heard me and I can talk on the podcast. The Lakers
- 38:02called you, Oh, how about that? You don't think that's possible.
- 38:07I don't believe. I don't believe he was like completely hands off and uninvolved.
- 38:13He didn't answer the phone or anything like that. We're talking about that
- 38:16on the other side. The break More than Sports Jock show right after this

- 41:01And now back to the sports job wing Yancy. Swing logon so you can
- 41:28see a sports jaint. I'll sing even the big jny what back to this
- 41:34whate shock show. I'm in the spot shock Wayne Canny. Good morning to
- 41:37you on this last Monday of June this year, Big Kenny comanchi Greg the
- 41:43bad producer in the building, Gents, when Christian Lightner was that duke one
- 41:50of the greatest basketball players every Yes, okay, I just want to make
- 41:53sure because the bad producer steady over there research and stuff. I'm trying to
- 41:57push the show forward. He trying to go in the past. Sit on
- 42:00that Christen Layner's thing. Go back one of the greatest college careers of a
- 42:06recent memory. Correct, Kristin Laighton. Yes, part of a lot of
- 42:12guys that was just great in college in football and basketball that didn't take away
- 42:17from their college and when they came up with a dream team, they said
- 42:22they would leave a position open for one of the Remember they had just transitioned.
- 42:29It used to be all college players, but they would hold and since
- 42:34on that dream team they already had like three centers or something like that on
- 42:37it had too It was Robinson and Ewing with Laightner who was a Ford and
- 42:45at the time considered the best college player. So I don't know how we
- 42:52got back to needing to research that whole story and how that got to do
- 42:59an injury and Caitlyn Clark, I don't know. Now we was talking about
- 43:02the Olympics and the protocol with the Olympics, how they put them him on
- 43:07the team and if he was that pushing the needle as he was in college,
- 43:12they should seeing that from ninety two to do this twenty thirty years later
- 43:16to push the needle with these young ladies college. But they just left her
- 43:22to push the NBA forward. They did not need christian Ly. They did
- 43:25that because let's just get the best college guy and have a spot. It
- 43:30wasn't about we need to push the NBA forward when they already had Jordan Bird
- 43:36Magic and Charles Barkley on the team. They did not need Later's help.
- 43:39I'm talking about that. Listen. The problem with America, in my opinion,
- 43:45the problem with America and are getting in our own way when we're trying
- 43:51to make progress. Sits with us every time we do this show in your
- 43:57emotional responses to lodge Coo arguments, those are the things that prevent people from
- 44:04moving forward. We are stagnant, stuck on a situation that's decades old because
- 44:10you feel an emotional way about Christian Latner. Now that ain't got nothing to
- 44:17do with what we're talking about in twenty twenty four. That little emotional feeling
- 44:22about later, Why are we talking about it here? We are two segments
- 44:25later and we still going over it. And that's disingenuous. The only thing
- 44:30worse than being a hater that being a line hate. He wasn't on the
- 44:34team because I'm just he was. It was down to him in Shack.
- 44:37I couldn't remember what it was about and what it was why they chose him
- 44:42over Shack. That's the only reason. That's what the bottom line it wasn't.
- 44:46Also, they did have two centers, like you said, you and
- 44:49and Robinson, but at the same time, I'm just looking at the Olympics
- 44:52understanding and trying to figure out. We keep saying that we got to push
- 44:55the needle. We should put these ladies. This is all a part of
- 44:58the Olympics. Yes, he doesn't have nothing to do with the NBA because
- 45:01it's a total Olympic committee. That's all I'm saying that you went with that
- 45:06college player at the time, who was the player. These girls are not
- 45:07in college. These girls are in the NBA. But he was leaving college
- 45:13too, just like they had. They weren't into college. They weren't in
- 45:15the NBA, but late or wasn't either. He was leaving college. He
- 45:19was the best player. He won the Player of the Year that year.
- 45:21They sent the player of the year championship on the team and won a national
- 45:24title, and that was a prerequisite for the Olympics back then. We're gonna
- 45:29known, you know what I'm saying, since they let the pros play,
- 45:32we're gonna save a spot intentionally for the best college and they've only done that
- 45:37three times. Yeah, they don't have a college player on live now,
- 45:42which is wrong. They should have kept it the same way. They didn't
- 45:51want to lose anything once we lost to it wasn't It wasn't even that.
- 45:53It wasn't about So you're telling me that we went with the pro and moved
- 46:00to college players. No, we were talking about even one spot for her,
- 46:04talking about one spot. Oh, I thought he was talking about that
- 46:07chat. I was thinking about the whole team when they changed. And you're
- 46:08our line because you hate Christian Lightner, you hate anything dealing with Duke.
- 46:13And it ain't nothing wrong with that if that's your feeling, But why do
- 46:16you always let that blind you to the actual facts? And the actual facts
- 46:22is the WNBA complains about money. The two people that could drive their wallet
- 46:29to get fatter, they left, and the young girl wants a Reese jersey
- 46:38with the USA patch on it. That's what she wants. She don't want
- 46:44one of the five girls that you couldn't even name. She don't want the
- 46:47forty year old girl that's her mama's age. She wanted the rees J.
- 46:55J. Reddick, what do you think about the higher I think that it's
- 47:00worth a shot. How much worse can he do to the people who have
- 47:02been there already? From his podcast and from being in the sports media,
- 47:12he's very knowledgeable. I want to know if that can translate to coaching.
- 47:16It doesn't always, but you know, if he thinks he can do it,
- 47:20let's see what happens. As a Laker fan. He's knowledgeable of the
- 47:24game. But I don't think we're chasing the title by going to get JJ
- 47:29Reddick. You thought you were chasing one, trying to go get the last
- 47:32early. I didn't. I wasn't with that. Oh Darvin, Yeah,
- 47:37I thought Darvin could do the job. He's approven assistance. I mean,
- 47:43did you think he could lead them to a champions Oh, yeah, Darvin,
- 47:45he could have. So if Darvin Ham could do it. But I
- 47:49mean, we don't have the pieces like I mean, if you go back,
- 47:51like like a couple of pieces that right now that the Lakers had that
- 47:55they traded through the years and got rid of. I mean, you look
- 48:00at Boston the same time. We was doing the same draft as Boston at
- 48:02the time. But they made choices, Jenny Busten made choices in the front
- 48:07office and they traded some players, and it's just where the Lakers are at
- 48:09right now. So with Polenka, Polenka was looking for a coach that he
- 48:14felt like could teach his young players, Austin Reeves, Rudique Hatmore, Max
- 48:20Christie, and that's what he was really looking for when he was looking at
- 48:22Dan Hurley. More of a coach that could teach, the ability to teach.
- 48:28As I said when they mentioned the name JJ Reddick, we don't know
- 48:31Jj from that standpoint. He could be that person on the teams that he's
- 48:37been on that was really like a coach. We just based on he went
- 48:45to do the bab DUSA doesn't like him, but we don't know that.
- 48:52That doesn't translate that he could have been the most knowledge of player on the
- 48:54court at practice with other teammates JJ redd Jason Kidd, Mark Jackson, Doc
- 49:01Rivers, Larry Bird, List goes on and on the people who never coach,
- 49:07they just gave a job to. We'll be back more to Sports Jock
- 49:10Show. Right after this son got that amphibition. We in the back of
- 49:15the role somewhere kissing Jamie and Lisn the King come in the shop. That's

- 50:21it's beautiful out there, sonny and seventy five, almost a little chilly in
- 50:25the shade. Now, let's get a read on the inside of your car.
- 50:30It is hot, you've only been parked a short time and it's already
- 50:34ninety nine degrees in there. Let's not leave children in the backseat while running
- 50:37errands. It only takes a few minutes for their body temperatures to rise,
- 50:42and that could be fatal. Cars get hot fast and can be deadly.
- 50:45Never leave a town in a car. A message from Nitsan and the ad
- 50:49Council. Hurt in the game, we tough it out, feel exhausted,
- 50:52we push on feeling down. We pull ourselves up by the bootstraps. The
- 51:00times when bootstraps aren't enough, when stress gets to us and we need to
- 51:04talk to someone about what we're really going through. So we're going to reach
- 51:07out because sometimes mental health is not a one person job. Is it?
- 51:13Love your Mind Today dot org. That's loved your Mind Today dot org brought
- 51:15to you by the Huntsman Mental Health Institute and the Head Counsel. And now
- 51:21back to the sports job, Wayne Gandy center Court on sports news gossip blah
- 51:30blah blah blah blah. Way back to the shock shu up the sport shock
- 52:01wing candy the Oakland Raiders have unveiled for you that just need to drop some
- 52:09money when you're out in Vegas home games tailgating party shot. Basically, they
- 52:16will set up your tailgate for you this year. They say they will have
- 52:22four such spots. They're going for twenty grand and basically they're gonna set up
- 52:30area kind of like you go with the tents and you already have the TV.
- 52:34I don't know if the tickets are included, right, but it's just
- 52:38almost like just setting or snot but of course not right wait wait wait wait
- 52:45wait wait wait, set them a booth up like it though, So they
- 52:49set them like a like a booth with the Yeah, you'll be outside in
- 52:53the tailgate, ok like with a section yeah section, no section okay,
- 52:58yeah, it'd be twenty g be four or five parking spots. You have
- 53:01your TVs set up, and I guess maybe if you're out there like on
- 53:06a raider, because remember you're talking about the raiders and they travel maybe like
- 53:08that to where one of the biker gangs that follow them might want to come
- 53:16instead of going in the gaging of us going in the game, doing it
- 53:21separate, right, we all put up one thousand dollars, you know,
- 53:25and have it already set up without us doing all the work, because you
- 53:30know, they go there, they don't. They're not tailgate ready because you
- 53:37imagine a lot of their fans drive over right, and you don't want to
- 53:40drive from Sacramento with some grill or all that stuff. It's no different than
- 53:50sections in the Vegas Club that's fifteen twenty thousand dollars club, but at least
- 53:55fifteen twenty thousand dollars in the club section come with entry to the club a
- 54:01society club. This way you get to hear the game and watch it with
- 54:06all of the amenities, just without I would take my twenty G's and buy
- 54:09some actual tickets to in the game. That's where it starts. It starts
- 54:13at twenty G's. But not if you were out there with a core of
- 54:16your fraternity brothers. Yeah, a bunch of the Ques gonna go to raiged
- 54:22I mean, but still twenty G's Raiders play the thousands this year, say
- 54:25you, and or say the Jets, and maybe you just went out there
- 54:28with ten of years y'all timed it up. At the same time, we
- 54:30don't want to get a sweeps No. One hundred thousand for sweet Well,
- 54:37well, some people enjoy the tailgate more than the game, more than going
- 54:43in the game. Now college football, for me, that's exclusive. I've
- 54:46seen people who never go to the football game in college, but they never
- 54:51missed the big screen TV, so we're gonna get the whole action. Well,
- 54:58we used to do that with our tailgates sport early on the Sports Jot
- 55:00tel Gate. Yeah, I never went into the game. Sports Jock would
- 55:04have the nice big r V and everything. You see everybody come in and
- 55:07they love the r V and we have the TV and and a lot of
- 55:10people just was happy to be a lot of them stopped going in the game.
- 55:14Just y. I thought I was going outside. I'm like, no,
- 55:20I was gonna put up the stuff when y'all leave to go in the
- 55:22game. On the State I think it's interesting that you would say you're not
- 55:28going into the game, and the people by the TV would be like,
- 55:30no, I want to see Ohio State Michigan or something like I'm at the
- 55:35Southern Miss game, but I want to watch this Ohio State game, but
- 55:37I don't want to miss the Southern Miss goings on, So I'll just come
- 55:40and tail gates TV. You open up a nice tailgate. Yeah, you
- 55:45get a lot of people that had no intention to the game. It'd be
- 55:50halftime and they say, oh man, let me I got tickets, let
- 55:52me go up, And we just have those huge crowds just to hang out
- 55:57at least, you know, third forty people more than I didn't even invite
- 56:01you on top of the two hundred. They just want to come over and
- 56:06hang and end up being there the whole game as well. But that's something
- 56:08the Raiders are offering. Brian Dabble, the head coach of the Giants,
- 56:15has dropped some weight. I was asked about how and why why when I
- 56:19saw this is why are people so interested on how you lost the weight?
- 56:27Because I see people get criticized for being on this weight lost drug or does
- 56:32it matter? It shouldn't matter. I came here and told you I worked
- 56:37it all over now. But it shouldn't matter, because if you lose a
- 56:39weight, it's because of apparently your doctor or someone that's told you you need
- 56:44to. No, that's not true, helpless, It's not necessary. Most
- 56:47people lose weight because they want to look a certain way. Yeah, oh
- 56:51well, they're not waiting on a doctor. It's vanity, oh okay.
- 56:57And most people who get instructed by their doctor to lose weight always he don't
- 57:01know what he's talking about, and they've been living being but you know you
- 57:09read the article and the oh this person is on h or like does it
- 57:16matter. Yeah, what's like with the whole ozipic thing, Like, oh,
- 57:22that's cheating because that's supposed to be for that drug is actually meant for
- 57:27diabetics. So some people are like taking advantage of something like that. But
- 57:31it's it looks better you have enhancements. Were for heart attacks. I was
- 57:37just about saying sport. It's it's not being. It's just come on now,
- 57:45just tons of medicines that you take every day was not. They found
- 57:50that if I add a little more it would be better to use it for
- 57:54this, or if I cut back on something. You know, soap came
- 58:00from candle makers. You add one or two more different things to how you
- 58:07make a candle and you come up with soap. So I don't get this
- 58:12whole I got the scent, I got the wax thing. You're telling me
- 58:16if I put little stem in my soap, it'll burn like a candle.
- 58:21Get that smell. That's what I'm saying. One or two ingredients adjusted and
- 58:25it becomes the same thing. But your bar soap. Ivory soap was the
- 58:30first soap white bar Ivory soap. Soap used to be yellow, so you
- 58:37know how you get the dial and it used to be yellow. That's how
- 58:38soap used to be. Ivory. Added one ingredient it made it white.
- 58:45But it was one or two ingredients away from being what would be your candle
- 58:51wax. Yeah, it's already got the scent already. To make it soap
- 59:00and make it a can and stick it and re floats too. We'll be
- 59:06sports Shock show. Oh, they had to make it smoke. I may
- 59:08not smoke. They had make it float. It's the only one to float,
- 59:10only soap. No, they intentionally did it because people lose the soap.
- 59:16It would drop and I've remade it so that it floated and you didn't
- 59:21have to reach for it. They put more air in it or something.
- 59:24We'll be I don't know how we got on wet. It's a lot of
- 59:28learning. Stock right this smile go ahead and pass then we can know.
- 59:35It's like a million on my neck. Got all of these. Don't go
- 59:38Awayne Bard of The Sports John Show with Wayne Dannidia's coming up next, and
- 59:45now let's talk about something exciting life insurance. Three quarters of Americans believe that
- 59:51coverage represents a critical piece of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually
- 59:55have life insurance. When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 59:59just getting start with our family and thought we live forever life insurance. What's
- 1:00:01the last thing on my mind? What about you? Will you be leaving
- 1:00:05benefits or bills? When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:00:08bills piling up, I was worried how my family will survive without me.
- 1:00:12That's what I'm in an appointment with the insurance informant. Information gives you power,
- 1:00:15and life insurance gives your family security no matter what stage of life you're
- 1:00:19in. Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I leave my
- 1:00:22family with bills or benefits. The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five
- 1:00:25or fifty, whether you earn a little or a lot, All you need
- 1:00:29is the insurance informant to help you build a foundation of security, because without
- 1:00:32you, your family will have two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy

- 1:00:57beating in rhythm to the world you've created. But every time you drive
- 1:01:01after drinking, music gets drowned out. Your life sounds pretty great. Don't
- 1:01:09let a buzz ruin it. Buzz driving is drunk driving. Don't drive buzzed.
- 1:01:14A message from Nit's in the AD Council. My simple solution to their
- 1:01:17problem was remove people from the scene and help them feel safer. In response
- 1:01:23to attacks against Asian Americans, Maddie Park raised over two hundred and fifty thousand
- 1:01:29dollars to donate CAMB rights to the Asian community. There is so much more
- 1:01:31work to be done. We really need to come together and tackle this issue
- 1:01:37as a community. Support the Asian community. Learn how at Love has No
- 1:01:42Labels dot com brought to you by Love has No Labels and the AD Council.
- 1:01:50Enough using, enough, why so serious? And we hold the world
- 1:01:55ransom for excuse me. I whipped this out broadcasting live and it led her
- 1:02:04to ach this. This is the sports Shock Ship with Wayne Dandy. You
- 1:02:12kill me up, comes to come to come to mind. Just i'ma do
- 1:02:25it again. I'm gonna go on the way you began welcome back to this
- 1:02:30one. Shock Shoe, this what shock Wayne Gandy, Good morning to you.
- 1:02:35Uh stop calling the Caitlyn Clark uh Andel Reese a rivaly, Big Kenny
- 1:02:40com It's not a rivaly. Caitlyn Clark says that only people she feels like
- 1:02:46calling the rivalry ribery is us. Let's see it. They still ain't got
- 1:02:51the memo me and ain't you cool? We was at the party last night.
- 1:02:58We we haven't even gotten into some thing where a ribbery has to be
- 1:03:01built. You can't make It's just like you're not supposed to give yourself a
- 1:03:06nickname. Somebody else gives you the nickname. You don't supposed to make what's
- 1:03:09your name? The nicest? Why they call you that? I just like
- 1:03:12it? You just like it. What what you're gonna explain to me why
- 1:03:17it's the robbery? I think people want that Magic Bird thing so bad that
- 1:03:24they will fabricate a rivalry. Have they played against each other in college and
- 1:03:31now they're in the W I don't think they would have become a rivalry.
- 1:03:35Magic and Bird would not have become a rivalry if either one of them was
- 1:03:38drafted to a different team they owned. They fell into a rivalry the Lakers
- 1:03:45and the Celtics. So it was easy. But if one of them,
- 1:03:50if Magic would have been drafted to the Lakers and Larry Bird would have been
- 1:03:52drafted to the Hawks, there wouldn't have been the storyline in which we're talking
- 1:03:59about, right, the rivalry, even more so in this case, it's
- 1:04:05being it's being forced trying to force a rivalry because these are two teams that
- 1:04:13it's not like they're the storied franchises of the WNBA and they're not any good.
- 1:04:18I think that one time sports Shock said something once about how this generation.
- 1:04:25I don't know if it's the bar has been lowered. I don't know
- 1:04:28if it's the level of exposure, but this generation keeps seeming to want to
- 1:04:34create a moment. They want to have an icon. They want to go
- 1:04:42to a woodstock, they want to have a summer of love, they want
- 1:04:45to march on Washington, they want to do all of the things that historically
- 1:04:50made moments in time. And so when they get two stars, they're just
- 1:04:57so desperate for a rivalry to they'll pick them out of anywhere, justus a
- 1:05:00rivalry. It ain't even played it this thing, has it really like the
- 1:05:04bird in Magie yesterday played each other. That's the rivalry to one game they
- 1:05:10had. But as we're saying, it's organic, you know what I'm saying,
- 1:05:14like it has to be something for it to really move. I mean,
- 1:05:18and where does it come from? Everybody? It's against Caitland Clark.
- 1:05:21It's not just Angel Reese. She wasn't the only detractor when she was in
- 1:05:26college of Caitland Clark. A lot of people made people against Caitland because they're
- 1:05:30showing up. That's not against you. I mean, they're not showing up
- 1:05:32to see her fail. They're showing up to see her do good. And
- 1:05:35I'm saying, and Angel rees shows up to play her because she's on the
- 1:05:41other team. They're not a rivalry yet. Now they might become one.
- 1:05:45They might be made into something if we try hard enough. But I think
- 1:05:48right now what we're just doing is reaching because we want so. We saw
- 1:05:53the year before when they played in the championship game that they had everything that
- 1:05:57went on and then the rest of the season then both teams made it back
- 1:05:59to the final four. That's where people are attempting to build. But that's
- 1:06:03what Caitlyn Clark is telling you, you don't get to make something a rivalry.
- 1:06:10We would have to make it a rivalry. You're just trying to pit
- 1:06:15me against this person. Well she should say that they're trying to pit because
- 1:06:20I mean it is a rivalry. I mean they have been balting each other.
- 1:06:24The last two years. They have played four games. Four games against
- 1:06:28each other, counting the two when they're in the w n b A,
- 1:06:30they have played four games. Well, Magic and Larry only played one game,
- 1:06:34and that was the championship game. But it wasn't It wasn't a rivalry.
- 1:06:39Then it became a rivalry years later and the Lakers and Celtics was going.
- 1:06:50I mean they were part of a rivalry that already I understand that,
- 1:06:55but I'm saying, but they both the first year they it was still the
- 1:06:58same way. Everybody was trying to pick Magic against Bird, Caitlyn and Angel.
- 1:07:03They try and make them into a rivalry because she's a black girl that
- 1:07:06played in the Deep South and Caitlyn's a white girl that came from the Midwest,
- 1:07:12and now everybody wants to go oh when they get look at that.
- 1:07:15It was a lot of racial tension that stoked the desire for that to be
- 1:07:20a you can, But I'm saying when you, when you was, it
- 1:07:25would have manufactured when the lady said, we should have invited the second place
- 1:07:29team up here because she played good and it is a shame that they lost.
- 1:07:32So see the emotions again. No, I'm not the emotions I'm saying.
- 1:07:36I'm not saying that you're the only one. I'm saying that lady may
- 1:07:40have been emotional too. That's what I'm saying. None of this is is.
- 1:07:45None of the foundation of this is there going back and forth, won
- 1:07:48a championship, won a game, lost the game, foult none of that.
- 1:07:53It's all because I felt a certain way. Now I'm projecting all of
- 1:07:58this idea listening to Caitlyn Clark. If one of the participants is telling you
- 1:08:05that I'm not in a rivalry, who that shuts it down? Who you
- 1:08:10gonna believe that shuts it down? Seems to same thing I told you when
- 1:08:16we brought this up, Serena shut down this whole. Sheryl Pova, y'all
- 1:08:23keep saying, Cheryl Pova, Cheryl Pova, haven't beat me enough to be
- 1:08:27a rival. She this is the next girl on the ticket. So if
- 1:08:30Caitlin Clark is telling you she don't she's not in a rivalry rivalry. How
- 1:08:35we gonna keep saying she's in a rivalry, Caitlyn, what about your ops?
- 1:08:40Who? She don't know what you're talking about? What ops? Angel?
- 1:08:44Angel? Oh, I ain't got no problem with Angel. And that's
- 1:08:47when and that's we keep on doing that to ourselves. We we want to
- 1:08:53see something that isn't there yet, and so we'll we'll make it up.
- 1:08:59No different in w wrestling. I remember listening to Rick Fred Flair one of
- 1:09:05those documentaries, and he was somebody. One of the biggest things he missed
- 1:09:10was Dusty Rhodes. Him and Dusty were great friends, but half the time
- 1:09:16they had to act. They couldn't hang together. They you know, it
- 1:09:19was secretive, but they was great friends. But they had Chrisy, the
- 1:09:25public had bought him to listening to him listen hell Nature. It was so
- 1:09:30against each other, he called hang out together. They rolled together when they
- 1:09:36left, though, but they had to be but the Nature boy, hey
- 1:09:42man picked me up behind the building. Behind the building. All right,
- 1:09:46man, goodness, tonight be safe. I know you. I love you
- 1:09:48too, bro. Let me tell you something. Tell a blaanch. The
- 1:09:54nature boy does not want to see it called the dream after I'm there on
- 1:10:00the twelfth, Caitlyn, I don't know. It seems from Caitlin Angel seems
- 1:10:08like she just has to me. I watched yesterday. She just has a
- 1:10:11chip that she's just maybe re energized. She looks like the girl that I
- 1:10:17saw when she was a junior, not last year. Last year she looked
- 1:10:24like she had gotten swept away with all the believing who I Am videos and
- 1:10:30fame. Now she looks like the lady before. She's quicker, look like
- 1:10:34she done lost some weight, more into it, and she's out to prove
- 1:10:39that she is as good as she used to be. And as an athlete,
- 1:10:43you're always looking for that motivation. But it seems like with Caitlyn,
- 1:10:47like y'all are trying to y'all are speaking on this so much. You're trying
- 1:10:51to make me have a problem with this person, right, and we almost
- 1:10:58are trying to speak it into existence right right that if I see her on
- 1:11:03the street, I'm wrong for speaking y'all y'all trying to make it. Uh.
- 1:11:06I don't know why we do that. Maybe that's what Popubly I didn't
- 1:11:10want them on an Olympic team. Everybody will see that, Oh they're buddies,
- 1:11:13and then you can't sell them. They're gonna be on the US All
- 1:11:17Star team that plays the Olympic team. The All Stars of the NBA are
- 1:11:23gonna play the Olympic team for practice games. So but yeah, you're making
- 1:11:27it seem like they're gonna have to dap each other up behind the scenes,
- 1:11:31like okay, like Big Kenny is saying, hey, good game, super
- 1:11:35fly snooker. You can't ride with me and Jim Kritz when you remember now
- 1:11:41when I drop you this dime of a path, don't point at me because
- 1:11:44they're gonna think we like each other. You can't. You can't, we
- 1:11:46can't high five, can't, can't. I'm a I'm a pass it to
- 1:11:51you. You gonna score an outstanding basket and then you're gonna look at me
- 1:11:57and go whatever. This keeps just keep middle, But okay, good,
- 1:12:01good path whatever. Bill Belichick his friend, I don't know that his girlfriend,
- 1:12:10Jordan Hudson. Are y'all just gonna follow her now? Like oh yeah,
- 1:12:13they followed her, Like just gonna follow stalk this young lady that's that's
- 1:12:17what's gonna see how creepy this this is, this social media thing is becoming
- 1:12:23this twenty four hour news cycle. You've seen the latest one is making money
- 1:12:28off of it. I guess the media is not her, But y'all don't
- 1:12:33want to stop this because now you see the latest. I'm going to say,
- 1:12:38sir, legally, if I were to follow you as a private citizen
- 1:12:45around places taking pictures of you, you could get a restraining or that I
- 1:12:49guess you could. You could get a restraining order because this dude is creeping
- 1:12:54me out, making me feel unsafe everywhere I go. He's hiding somewhere taking
- 1:12:59pictures of me, and then he goes and uploads those pictures with his own
- 1:13:03narratives. That's illegal in most of the world. I don't understand how tabloid
- 1:13:10journalism survives and doesn't get just eliminated through lawsuits, because that's I can't just
- 1:13:16follow you around everywhere you go. And I brought this up as to go
- 1:13:20to break because the young lady went to like her cheerleading practice or whatever she
- 1:13:27dance group thing. And I'm like, so even when she's not with Bill,
- 1:13:30now, you're just gonna want to see what she's doing so you can
- 1:13:33report it to Bill. What is this? Get it? We'll be back
- 1:13:36with more of a sports talk show right after this. You can't getting up
- 1:13:45you? Where is it getting you? Sleep? That cap again? So
- 1:13:50I'm talking about John Boy Wayne Bord of the sports Johns Hill with Wayne gampyis

- 1:16:30Couple of birthdays here from yesterday and today. Randy Jackson, TV host
- 1:16:38producer. Oh that night dog, talk about that dog. It's a no
- 1:16:44for me dog. Sixty eight years old. Ladamian Thomason is forty five.
- 1:16:49The Hall of Fame running back n the Messy is thirty seven. Slange Knowles
- 1:16:57is thirty eight. JJ Reddick We talked about Jay earlier being the head coach
- 1:17:00of the Lakers. He's forty years of age. Taj Gibson, longtime NBA
- 1:17:06Powell Ford thirty nine, Money Davis. A lot of us remember when Money
- 1:17:13was pitching in the Little League. She's twenty three now, so that was
- 1:17:16when she was thirteen, twelve, twelve, thirteen. Yeah, when she
- 1:17:20was doing that pitching. She went on to college to think football, play
- 1:17:27play softball at Hampton, Okay. Money Davis twenty three. Clay Hilton,
- 1:17:31former USC coach, now down at Georgia Southern. At least last time I
- 1:17:35checked, my boy, Clay Helton was down at Georgia Southern football head coach
- 1:17:40fifty two. Dale Curry, Steph Curry's dad, the originator of the three
- 1:17:45pointer in the Curry family. Sixty years of age. Desmond Paane of the
- 1:17:50Memphis Grizzlies twenty six. I like the way Desmond plays basketball tough and hard
- 1:17:56and the kemba matambo. Always interesting to get around to my Tombo's birthday because
- 1:18:03it's kind of like a Hollywood birthday. You say it, but you ain't
- 1:18:08really sure of it. Now from what I saw, it says that the
- 1:18:12Kimbay is fifty eight again again. That's when he retires. I'm just trying
- 1:18:19to we were I've been I've been doing this show with you about ten years,
- 1:18:24and each year we do Kimba Birthday and he ain't never been no older
- 1:18:28than fifty eight in the last ten years. This man never gets no I
- 1:18:31remember he might have. He was like fifty four one time, and then
- 1:18:35we got to fifty eight and we just keep running that bike. Fifty eight
- 1:18:40is the Kimba again, Tombo. So you saying Coach Thompson bothered me in
- 1:18:43at the twenty I'm saying, I don't know what they did with the Kimbay,
- 1:18:46but he it was twenty five when he got to Georgetown, coach,
- 1:18:50and that was thirty five years ago. That'd make him sixty at least seventy
- 1:18:57three. Studies are showing that Big Kenny maybe doing his dog or disservice studies
- 1:19:09are being hell saying that loving cats and dogs too much could be hindering the
- 1:19:17cat and the dog, hindering their growth, their growth. I believe it
- 1:19:23that basically, by the way we have decided to turn cats and dogs into
- 1:19:29what we call pets has removed the aspect of them being cats and dogs.
- 1:19:36I can believe it that, yes, they live longer because you're taking care
- 1:19:41of them, but they're not living as a cat or a dog. You
- 1:19:47can see what that those studies are saying. It's completely true. Yeah,
- 1:19:51because I want my dog to bark, get at you, make you scared
- 1:19:55to come in the house. Dogs now they all use a friendly Hey buddy.
- 1:20:00I don't know why you want your dog and make somebody scared to come
- 1:20:04in, But that's the purpose of having a dog. Is a lot of
- 1:20:06people is like to like to scare people or to use it as a I
- 1:20:11mean, it's just another why having protection. I can say that I have
- 1:20:16a I have a dog. Dog lives in the house. The doorbell rings,
- 1:20:21someone knocks on the door, the dog will alert by barking. The
- 1:20:26dog will go to the front door to bark to warn who's over on the
- 1:20:29other side of the door. When the door opens, the dog stops because
- 1:20:32the dog realizes that I'm allowing this person in the house. They're no threat.
- 1:20:38But then the dog goes and sleeps in a padded bed with with mixed
- 1:20:45food. It's dry and wet and it's got you know, it gets male
- 1:20:50at the house get I get text messages say don't forget your doctor appointment for
- 1:20:59now, and I'm like, for who. The kids don't get chext messages
- 1:21:03about doctor's appointments, but the dog does, and it it doesn't really live
- 1:21:10a dog's life. And that's the party they're saying, not the that the
- 1:21:15dogs. They're living without being dogs and cats. Yes, yes, my
- 1:21:19dog will chase a squirrel till it gets to the tree, then I'm done.
- 1:21:23It was questioning whether that's fair to the animal. The animal, Yeah,
- 1:21:29like the dog chasing the car and knowing you can't never catch the car,
- 1:21:31but you're gonna chase him anyway. And only thing I remember when I
- 1:21:34read the article, I was that old movie is it Madagascar? If you
- 1:21:40remember that movie and the Lion they got out the zoo and ended up back
- 1:21:44in and somewhere, and Madagascar was the that that installment. It was the
- 1:21:54it was something Madagascar too or something like that. Okay, yeah, but
- 1:21:59he went back to the He couldn't handle himself in the well. His calls
- 1:22:01had never grown because they never had him. He didn't know how to hunt,
- 1:22:05and they clipped him or something there because he was in the in the
- 1:22:08zoo, he didn't have to hunt. They always know how to dance.
- 1:22:12Yeah, he was a show lion. He was a show lion. He
- 1:22:15didn't know how to do any of that. He didn't know how to do
- 1:22:16lions stuff right. And it was a cute movie because he kept trying to
- 1:22:21eat his friends. Once he got Once he got out, once he realized
- 1:22:26he was a lion, he attacked the zebras. He like, what are
- 1:22:29you doing so? Uh? But watch that big Kenny, all that love
- 1:22:32on. Let the dog be a dog man, sports jock. You got
- 1:22:36to because I mean, seriously, he don't dig. He you know that
- 1:22:42stuff is like dogs used to stay outside all day. Now if it's hot,
- 1:22:45my dog will go to the door and look at me and like,
- 1:22:48no, they've already tell you right now, even in the winter time and
- 1:22:51the hot if you if they ride by and see your dog outside and it's
- 1:22:56too hot, they call him. I'm not talking about that horsement on you.
- 1:23:00I'm talking about it. If it's too cold, they're calling enforcement on
- 1:23:02you. Better get your dog in or you better get them on the regardless
- 1:23:05if it's too hot and too cold. The dogs used to never complain that
- 1:23:09I know my dog. My dog now refuses to go out in cold or
- 1:23:14hot like no, I'm not gone and we'll be back to sports. Chuck

- 1:26:13And now back to the sports Giant, Wayne Gandy Player's Lounge. I've been
- 1:26:21given full access to the players lounge on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:26:29They see good God, nothing could stop me. I'm all the way
- 1:26:40way back to the Sportshock Show. I'm the Sportshock Wayne Kandy. Tennessee State
- 1:26:45University twenty five twenty six, twenty twenty five twenty twenty six season will have
- 1:26:51a hockey team. They unveiled their new jerseys and they will kick off and
- 1:27:00debut in twenty twenty five, twenty twenty six for this HBCU that I know
- 1:27:05very well, Tennessee State University. We talked about this earlier before the show.
- 1:27:12Just I'm not sure how this meeting started, you know, when it
- 1:27:23got together. And I say that because I know at least one sport that
- 1:27:29they have at Tennessee State that was underserved. So I don't know how you
- 1:27:34go and create another sport when I know that sport you are already underserving it
- 1:27:43as far as equipment and travel and just day to day having gatorade at the
- 1:27:50tournament kind of stuff. So to hear when you brought this to me,
- 1:27:57Commanchi, when I made my ears stand up because I'm thinking we added something
- 1:28:02else to a school that wasn't already being fourthright to the other sports that they
- 1:28:11had there. So now they're going to start hockey. Does this mean HBCU
- 1:28:17and it's going to be an all African American hockey team? You don't know
- 1:28:25a lot of times in their secondary sports outside of football and basketball, they
- 1:28:30use these sports to make up that federal government requirement requirement of inclusion. Inclusion.
- 1:28:41Just look at the baseball team. So I don't know if that's why
- 1:28:44they needed to bring this on board, because they haven't been meeting that mark.
- 1:28:48So they created a team that they could get another fifteen to eighteen people
- 1:28:56to the STATF and that team and be able to count those because I know
- 1:29:00they do have to have a certain quota, and I think it's weird.
- 1:29:05I didn't know that the quota. It's not just something that has to be
- 1:29:11available. You have to actively go out and bring those students in. Like
- 1:29:15you can't just say, hey, I got sixteen spaces open for what would
- 1:29:19be an HBCU, a minority student, student that's not of color, and
- 1:29:27you can't do that. You got to go out and be like, hey,
- 1:29:29we got a spot over here for you. No really, man,
- 1:29:31come here, and if you don't get them, there's some sort of penalty
- 1:29:35levied against the program. There is that's weird in reverse, what I'm saying
- 1:29:45on the reverse side, And I guess it seems weird that you're making me
- 1:29:50find someone willing to come here. Maybe my program doesn't offer them the location
- 1:29:57or the uh career kill them or the whatever it was I was generally looking
- 1:30:02for in a college program. So I can't find anybody who's willing to come
- 1:30:08to Howard University to play football that's not an African American student. But that
- 1:30:16will get me penalized. I gotta go out and find somebody like, come
- 1:30:19on, man, I need you, you gotta come. I'll give you
- 1:30:23this, I'll give you that, I'll give your parents that. That's I
- 1:30:27mean. I understand inclusion, but to penalize me because nobody wanted to come
- 1:30:31seems a little bit overreaching. Well, we will see. Have they said
- 1:30:36who they will be playing, because as far as I know, they're the
- 1:30:41first HBCU hockey team. That it won't be Jacks of State. Well no,
- 1:30:45because they don't have they don't have a team. That it won't be
- 1:30:48all called. It would be uh bet, it won't be Alabama State.
- 1:30:53That it won't be uh name them. That, it won't be Cookman Central.
- 1:31:00They'll probably play Middle Tennessee State since they have a hockey team, So
- 1:31:06it'll be I don't know if they're going to play like the big programs like
- 1:31:12Minnesota or Wisconsin or something like that, but they'll be able to join a
- 1:31:16conference with those teams because there are some teams that are Division two or three
- 1:31:21in other sports, but in hockey, their division one like a University of
- 1:31:26Denver, so they'll be able to join any of those hockey conferences. It's
- 1:31:30not the same setup as with basketball or football, but they'll be able to.
- 1:31:34And now we know, from having had our longtime listener supporter Sterling Steward
- 1:31:41when he was calling into the show, was the athletic director down at Savannah
- 1:31:46State University. We know for a fact that a lot of what goes into
- 1:31:53the HBCU experience is the supporting of that program. We talked about out how
- 1:32:00sometimes the alumni will get upset if you make certain moves with this knowing that
- 1:32:06there are teams already at the school that are being underserved. How does that
- 1:32:11affect the alumni? What's the morale of the players on a tennis team,
- 1:32:15on the track team? Who are who having a body own gatorade before the
- 1:32:20track meet, and all of a sudden, here you come with a hockey
- 1:32:25team, Like, how does that make you feel? I couldn't answer that
- 1:32:31question. We'd have to get somebody on. I would love to ask one
- 1:32:34of those student athletes, how does that make you feel that you can't get
- 1:32:40an established sport? But that's what I'm saying, if the school has the
- 1:32:44met A requirement and this is a way for them to do it, for
- 1:32:46the school to be compliant, compliant and validated, they're going to have to
- 1:32:51do something. They got to do something able to open up that. This
- 1:32:55also did come in through the They got assistance from the NHL starting this program.
- 1:33:00So this they just may be the first assistance meaning predators with the Carolina
- 1:33:11Hurricanes, you need to do something. That's all that meant. I know
- 1:33:16the language. NYC holds their Fat Beach Day over the weekend. It is
- 1:33:26uh to create accepting environment for a plus sized community, a space for people
- 1:33:33to be themselves is what the Fat Beach Day was centered around. It is
- 1:33:40a move for the culture. They are trying to move the fat culture forward
- 1:33:46so individuals can feel and be in a space that they can be their own.
- 1:33:55They don't feel as comfortable at the beach with everybody else. Big Kenny
- 1:34:02Comanchi, Greg Bad producer. So this might become a national thing, but
- 1:34:09right now it's a Fat Beach Day. So what I want to do is
- 1:34:17advocate for inclusion and acceptance. Well that's the thing, and we seemed to
- 1:34:25there was a decade of law and conversation, protests, marches to create inclusion.
- 1:34:36Yes, and then every other day there's something that each and every group
- 1:34:43seems to be separating, separating, and and I thought that was that we
- 1:34:50all should be able to show up to the beach, tall, skinny,
- 1:34:57white, black, different religion, different economic group. Everybody should be able
- 1:35:04to go to the same beach. This side of the beach shouldn't be for
- 1:35:09the rich and the pretty. We're all supposed to be. I thought that
- 1:35:15was the gold commens. But then I find that each subgroup has decided no,
- 1:35:23I want the beach to be eco friendly, so only eco friendly people
- 1:35:30should be at this beach, and then only the fat people, then only
- 1:35:33the black people, and then only the fat black men people, and then
- 1:35:38the fat black women who went to college group, but then the none black
- 1:35:43with no hair. Everything is separate. What happened to inclusion? And then
- 1:35:48you want to exclude the other people like this is just for fatties who feel
- 1:35:54more comfortable in front of fat people, and you people that are in shape
- 1:35:58can't come because y'all not welcome here. How is that moving inclusion and acceptance
- 1:36:04forward. I've never understood that we won't racial acceptance. So what we're gonna
- 1:36:11start is all black realtors club. No white realtors could be a part of
- 1:36:18it. So that ought to push racial equality forward. And it just seems
- 1:36:25a little bit cart before the horse to me. So this just went down.
- 1:36:30I just it was just interesting. It was more interesting of another group
- 1:36:34separating themselves than it was that it was fat beach day. I just am
- 1:36:42always mystified about how we all keep talking about this whole melting pot, the
- 1:36:49day we all just can be together. Everything seems to separate, and which
- 1:36:56one is it? It's being overweight a national emergence. See that has us
- 1:37:00at risk of national safety. It's the greatest risk to our national safety is
- 1:37:06what they said a couple of years ago, obesity. And now we're saying,
- 1:37:11nah, be cool enough with being fat that you get a whole beach
- 1:37:14to yourself for the day. Which one we were going with? I'm saying,
- 1:37:24and I'm asking everybody which one? Because do y'all remember that when they
- 1:37:27said the greatest threat to national security right now was obesity? I don't remember.
- 1:37:34I remember. Google it. Google it. Our country in Mexico continue
- 1:37:40to swap the fattest countries, the most obese country. We keep going back
- 1:37:45and forth, but they said that the greatest threat to national health was obesity.
- 1:37:49And now we're saying nah, not no more. We will be back

- 1:40:58Uh And I'm not including the hot streak that show he Otani seems to be
- 1:41:03on. It's like he has settled in and being the leadoff. He's been
- 1:41:08leading off here like the last two three weeks with the injury to Mooky Betts.
- 1:41:15They moved him up in that two three weeks. He's at like seven
- 1:41:18eight home runs that in about four eighty doing his things as you imagine.
- 1:41:25And I can see him coming back and starting to be made probably a closer.
- 1:41:29What do y'all think as after the surgery as a picture or you think
- 1:41:33they put him back starting? I think they'll put him back starting. Okay.
- 1:41:38I thought you got more value if you kind of close make him a
- 1:41:43full time fielder and then let him be a closer. Well, he has
- 1:41:51he been dh or is he is he playing? First? I know that
- 1:41:56like he probably played now he's playing right now. He's the lead off of
- 1:41:59d A Got You. Okay, so we'll see what they do with the
- 1:42:02superstar out there. But he has been swinging that wood pretty good. Top
- 1:42:08prospect with the Blue Jays. Or Ralvis Martinez, who had his debut on
- 1:42:15Friday, is now suspended for eighty games. So he debuted Friday and got
- 1:42:24suspended yesterday. Record I have not even completed that feat. Sir, make
- 1:42:31a debut and get suspended the same day. I've tried. I've tried,
- 1:42:38but I've not been able to accomplish it yet. So what did he do?
- 1:42:42Uh? He was caught with substances called drugs doma fin It is like
- 1:42:56he said, it's a performance and that's what we're talking about p D.
- 1:43:00But he said foreman's handswer Uh, it's fertility. He said he got it
- 1:43:06after visiting a fertility clinic in the d R. I guess that's what he
- 1:43:14was going with. When they can put him up on the stand, not
- 1:43:16this stuff. You never go to see a fertility doctor first. He's not
- 1:43:20the first, the first to use fertility drugs. Okay, I'm saying whatever
- 1:43:27will get us through. Well, he made his debut on Friday. He's
- 1:43:30suspended now for eighty games, which at this point is the rest of the
- 1:43:33season. That's that's that's the first defense. But that's the rest of the
- 1:43:38season. What game we on? We on game halfway? Take that people
- 1:43:44running out onto the field, the first defense and you gone for the rest
- 1:43:47of the season. That's yeah, that all the stop on. Let's let's
- 1:43:51see let's see some of these records. Yeah, I mean that is it's
- 1:43:56close to halfway. Almost at the July we always we almost had the all
- 1:44:00break. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. So that basically the rest of
- 1:44:02the season and maybe five games in the next year, so I won't see
- 1:44:08him any after his debut. That was a quick Guys like him now in
- 1:44:12the modern day, he bed be very good. They're going to just be
- 1:44:15a triple leaguer. What is it triple A if you don't get itself?
- 1:44:20And just asked was like, well, like he could say like, oh,
- 1:44:24yeah, I took a fertility drug. Why Yeah, what what I'm
- 1:44:30saying. Me and my wife, we we were trying to have to get
- 1:44:32my hair to grow. Yeah, that's one of my nails. My nails
- 1:44:36not doing right. New York Mets closer Edwin Diaz is facing a ten game
- 1:44:43suspension after he was ejected last night as the Mets beat the Cubs for having
- 1:44:50an illegal substance on his pitching hand drugs. No. He claimed that it
- 1:44:59was sweat sweat, and but he came out of the boopye and it was.
- 1:45:04It was interesting to me because, like I said, lately, this
- 1:45:06has been the thing of these umpires. They're checking you doing warm up,
- 1:45:12when you come out, they're looking at your hats, make sure there's enough
- 1:45:15kind of So they changed that rule this year, didn't they or last year
- 1:45:18that they could check you more. Yeah, they can check you more for
- 1:45:20it used to be after every every inning. Yeah, if you have everybody
- 1:45:25once every couple of innings or be like once unless the manager asked for But
- 1:45:33now that's the discretion of the umpire. So I guess he looked up there
- 1:45:39and saw something and he said, its like it's it was not brown and
- 1:45:45it's not greasy looking either. Why he mixed a little bit of that fertility
- 1:45:49shot. I'm saying, you know, when you sweat when you're on fertility
- 1:45:53drugs, and you started to sweat, it come out to pull us on
- 1:45:57your hand, kind of like rods on a little bit. The thirty year
- 1:46:01old was thrown out by the crew chief and we will see what the next
- 1:46:06ten games. Quite should make a quick decision. But the crew chief said
- 1:46:12that it was not sweat and roll. Yeah, it wasn't neither one of
- 1:46:17those two dirt because you was looking at it wrong. If you say,
- 1:46:21you know what it was, but it wasn't. He's seen those things.
- 1:46:25No, But if we walk over here under this light and you look,
- 1:46:28it looked a little bit like like dirt, a little bit though a little
- 1:46:31b he's facing a ten game suspension is DS and eighty games was so most
- 1:46:39time the coaches have been I've been arguing for the pictures. Coach didn't even
- 1:46:44come out longer. Now now I think to myself that with them having changed
- 1:46:49the rules, that makes it a lot easier to check on these pictures.
- 1:46:54This is not an isolated incident with pictures. Pictures are looking for an advan
- 1:47:00when they hit the mound. Is that when I'm to infer from this,
- 1:47:02and you would say, isn't that akin to somewhat like a little bit like
- 1:47:06cheap? And when you change from team to team. Also other people,
- 1:47:10you know, they learn your secrets. You know, if you're playing another
- 1:47:13like the Cubs in the mess playing in the National League, you never know
- 1:47:16you've been on the team to get a better grip. Yeah, this is
- 1:47:19how I get a better grip. And then somebody, you know. I
- 1:47:21tried to tell that to the man at the casino. The reason I had
- 1:47:25to call it up my sleeve. I'm trying to get a better grip on
- 1:47:27the car, and they wasn't trying to hear that. They want to call
- 1:47:30the police and talk about that. What I'm saying, I'm trying to tell
- 1:47:36them. Look, I'm in the baseball spirits, sir. This rosing.
- 1:47:40This is really rosing and fertility drugs in my sleep. We'll be back more
- 1:47:45than Sports Jock Show right after this, Jesus so far, don't go away,
- 1:48:05or of the Sports joh Show with Wayne Dan Vidia's dumbing upnast. It's
- 1:48:14four am Monday, and you're literally sucking baby snot through a tube because she's
- 1:48:19congested. Man, that's love, And if you love her that much,
- 1:48:24love her enough to make sure she's buckled in the right car seat. To
- 1:48:27make sure your child's in the right seat for their age and size. Visit

- 1:48:43we're the Goo Goo Dolls. We're fortunate that our daughters have what they
- 1:48:45need to grow and learn, but that isn't the case for nearly thirteen million
- 1:48:49kids in the US that struggle with hunger. Child in hunger is a heartbreaking
- 1:48:54reality that Feeding America is working to change. Each year, the Feeding American
- 1:48:58network of food banks rescues billions and pounds of good food that would have gone
- 1:49:00waste and provides it to families and children in need. You can help kids
- 1:49:04in need in your community by visiting Feeding America dot org. Brought to you
- 1:49:09by Feeding America and the AD Council. And now let's talk about something exciting,
- 1:49:15life insurance. Three quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece
- 1:49:19of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have life insurance. When
- 1:49:24I was twenty five, me and my wife were just getting started with our
- 1:49:27family and thought we lived forever. Life insurance. What's the last thing on
- 1:49:30my mind? What about you? Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:49:33When I was forty, with a kid in college and bills piling up,
- 1:49:36I was worried how my family was survived without me. That's what I'm in
- 1:49:39an appointment with the insurance informant. Information gives you power, and life insurance
- 1:49:43gives your family security no matter what stage of life you're in. Now that
- 1:49:46I'm older, I don't worry about whether I leave my family with bills or
- 1:49:49benefits. The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty, whether
- 1:49:54you earn a little or a lot, all you need is the insurance informant
- 1:49:57to help you build a foundation of security, because without you, your family
- 1:50:00will have two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind?
- 1:50:05Log on today Benefits or bills dot com? That's benefits or bills dot
- 1:50:12com. And now back to the sports job, Wayne Gandy. It's time
- 1:50:20for the school board when we put a spin on life and sports and how
- 1:50:26they intermingle on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy. Yeah, now you're
- 1:50:46what's in there right now? Man? Philis bright Heads thoughts. Yeah,
- 1:50:55Cat let us see show bits blog. Yes, yeah, I don't give
- 1:51:02up. Way back to this what shock shum this? Watch shock Wayne again?
- 1:51:05Didn't you are the granatest Michaels that I have ever competed in sports.
- 1:51:12Michael Johnson, who is starting the Grand Slam Track League, I think we
- 1:51:18talked about this maybe a couple of months ago, that it was an idea
- 1:51:23that he was having to try to start and get more year round track and
- 1:51:27field events going throughout this league. I guess over twelve million dollars of prize
- 1:51:32money, yes, will be divvied up over different races. You know,
- 1:51:39the Olympics is a great time to have something after the Olympics like this.
- 1:51:44And as we talk about with sports and it being such a twenty four hour
- 1:51:46thing now, people are always looking for content. So I'm quite sure Michael
- 1:51:51Johnson was sitting home eating him some fruit loops and saw that corn Hole came
- 1:52:00on and he was like, hold on this show, ain't coin hole two
- 1:52:04exclusive hours, two exclusive hours of corn hold covery. If I can just
- 1:52:11get no allowed in Shinkari richardson the race one time, one of these couple
- 1:52:16of these ladies from Jamaica, Jamaica. We be good. We gotta be
- 1:52:20more interesting than coin hole two hours. We could have stole fifteen minutes,
- 1:52:27which we could have stole a quarter hour of that. Michael Jordan's nineteen eighty
- 1:52:31eight a lot of interest in that year for Michael Jordan. He was a
- 1:52:38defensive Player of the Year. But a conspiracy theorists are saying that at home
- 1:52:45games, some of those numbers were inflated, So basically steals and blocks might
- 1:52:54have been one or two more given to Mike. Did have given the Scottie?
- 1:52:59They gave it to Mike. Yeah, Scotty one tipped the ball out,
- 1:53:02but they said it was Mike. Is basically what they're saying. Come
- 1:53:04on, Yeah. Some people went back through the tape and it was like,
- 1:53:10okay, over these six this six game homestand they said he had twenty
- 1:53:15eight steals. We watched the tape and he only had like eight or nine.
- 1:53:19Okay, So it was being inflated that much because they said he was
- 1:53:24the I think the first guard to have two hundred steals and one hundred blocks
- 1:53:27in the same season. So they treating Scotty like the older brother. Older
- 1:53:30brother come home like Hey, I just graduated college with honors. That's nice.
- 1:53:35I made Hey on this piece of paper. Look at that baby wrote
- 1:53:40that letter. Ay, he did that letter Hey, So that would have
- 1:53:43been Scottie Pippen's rookie year. So it's like, no, we're gonna give
- 1:53:46that there. Maybe Shoulder. We're just saying Scotty. We don't know which
- 1:53:54one. But I'm quite sure people all the time go back and as I
- 1:54:00said, like last week with Willie May's Michael Jordan, maybe not to us
- 1:54:08in a certain age group, we don't necessarily dig into the crate of Michael
- 1:54:14Jordan because we lived it right. But a young man that was born in
- 1:54:18two thousand woke up to day he's twenty four, he never got to see
- 1:54:24Michael, so he would do like I did with Muhammad Ali when I was
- 1:54:30playing with the Steelers, I went and bought me up Muhammad Ali at that
- 1:54:34time, DVD set, yeah, to catch up, because by the time
- 1:54:40I was really aware Mama Muhammad Ali was it was like nineteen eighty eighty one.
- 1:54:47He was fighting Larry Holmes on ABC Sports. But I basically had missed
- 1:54:54all of it. So I'm quite sure a young guy probably heard that that
- 1:55:00had a whole bunch of time on his hand and ran an algorithm, you
- 1:55:03know people, and found out that maybe some of the Chicago Bulls stats were
- 1:55:10a little off. Now, are we to assume that when people are telling
- 1:55:15stats that the athlete who's racking up those numbers isn't paying attention to them.
- 1:55:21Because if if Mike know he stole the ball four times, but they gave
- 1:55:25him credit for six steals, he didn't want to go say nothing to somebody
- 1:55:29like, hey man, I didn't steal through of them balls, but I
- 1:55:34didn't do that. If it was like he got credit for four and he
- 1:55:39said and he's like it was six, he's gonna go and say like it
- 1:55:42was actually six, so not less. So he got fertility drug rising on
- 1:55:47his hand. I hit four threes and you only gave me credit for two.
- 1:55:53I'm going to say something, right, I hit two threes and you
- 1:55:57gave me credit for four. We'll let that ride. I was today years
- 1:56:02old when my life change. You saw in that segment, the bad producer
- 1:56:12was quiet. I was. I was about to say something, but you
- 1:56:15know, y'all plenty of time. You just you know, I was going
- 1:56:21to say that they have two or three stat people there. I'm not understanding,
- 1:56:26and they confirmed before they actually put the stat down, So I'm just
- 1:56:30wondering who the guy whoever was looking at this. You're not the stat person
- 1:56:33that was at the game, so you don't know how that you read that,
- 1:56:39how they chose to give Michael the steel or Scott there. They're rules
- 1:56:43in place for what constitution who gets the credit and understand those those are people
- 1:56:47that they have that they pay this on the sideline. And I've been to
- 1:56:50games where there's two statisticians and they argue the whole game. Yeah they'll argue,
- 1:56:56Yeah, they will argue. So it's based on whose official. Because
- 1:56:59the guy is working with me in the booth is saying that the guy is
- 1:57:01working with the home team stats are wrong. So this is like every other
- 1:57:09football game of the season, and this is just on the high school level.
- 1:57:13And I'm sitting there next to Kevin looking at the sheet. Kevin say,
- 1:57:17the guy is seven for twelve. The guy that's for the home team
- 1:57:23is saying the guy's twelve for twelve. I'm sitting there in the middle,
- 1:57:26like bro, I don't know what to say. He's having a nice day
- 1:57:29out of here. Very efficient. Now, I don't even try to throw
- 1:57:31the stats out because both of y'all got me wrong because you just said.
- 1:57:34Now bad producers sitting over there quiet because we're talking about his boy. He
- 1:57:39said, nah, I ain't got nothing to say. But he went into
- 1:57:43a whole ramp about But when you look at it, if it had to
- 1:57:47be these stats, sometimes they got two stats and that was his nothing to
- 1:57:50say. That was his nothing to say, and we are know you.
- 1:57:57The truth is he will throw yo to the ocean. It's time to wrap
- 1:58:01things up on the Sports Jut Show with Wayne Kenny. When you decide the
- 1:58:25ocean, give the swatch out test submit it to Vin would like to thank
- 1:58:28you for tuning in to today's show. If you missed any of the show.
- 1:58:31When we go off, you can go to Apple Podcast, Amazon Podcasts,
- 1:58:35deez are Audible, Spotify, Our iHeartRadio and hear the replay. Big
- 1:58:42Kenny, comtch you, Greg bad producer. Thank you for your contributions to
- 1:58:46date. Going in ocean. It's the La Dodger Crew. Has nothing to
- 1:58:56do with the Dodgers, but they decided doing their robbery they would wear Dodger
- 1:59:01gear. Whole family, wife, husband, son, and daughter got arrested
- 1:59:10the other day and we're dubbed the Dodger Crew. They were arrested on suspicion
- 1:59:19of stealing and reselling high end perfume. Yeah, I said they were stealing
- 1:59:31high end and reselling perfume. I kept thinking of who do they call because
- 1:59:40mama and daddy in jail, so the whole family ain't got nobody to call
- 1:59:44over some perfume. Their grandma killed the house. They let you put the
- 1:59:47perfume on free, just go up there, put you some home. They
- 1:59:51gave a little test sample. Y'all going to jail. Whole family came to
- 1:59:56call each other. They get to go home. They don't get to go
- 1:59:59home. You can't be around other criminals. Yuh. If there's a famiony
- 2:00:01and who get out first? What's the priority? Who get out first?
- 2:00:08Mama get out first. Mama had to get out, and then you get
- 2:00:11everybody out. After that, She went on, got us for that Dodger
- 2:00:14crew fucked up. I wondered to have some of that back go out for
- 2:00:17pick hey. I was bought about it, but yeah, that was a
- 2:00:26blind leading the flying on. Listen the Dodger and crew, and then you
- 2:00:30think the Dodger uniforms is gonna give you all the way up one in there,
- 2:00:34like thinking the people wouldn't correlate that. Hey, there there's nine people
- 2:00:40all dressed in Dodger uniforms about the part. You don't like it's got anything
- 2:00:45to do with that, do you? If you have a good afternoon From
- 2:00:46the sports shop show, Pea started
