- 0:31SPEAKER_13: Hello, everybody.
- 0:32SPEAKER_13: Hello! Episode 250.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: Yay!
- 0:36SPEAKER_13: 250.
- 0:38SPEAKER_13: Um, we got a lot to talk about today.
- 0:40SPEAKER_13: Um, I don't know how we're gonna go about doing it, but um well, some cool things.
- 0:46SPEAKER_10: A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single word.
- 0:51SPEAKER_13: There you go.
- 0:52SPEAKER_10: I know it's supposed to be step, but I changed it because it's a talking thing.
- 0:55SPEAKER_10: We're not actually going anywhere.
- 0:57SPEAKER_13: Can we uh we didn't talk about this, but can we just stop for a second?
- 1:02SPEAKER_13: Um because this is really affecting me.
- 1:04SPEAKER_13: Um this whole Kerrville, Texas thing.
- 1:07SPEAKER_13: Um the floods.
- 1:09SPEAKER_13: Oh yeah.
- 1:09SPEAKER_13: That down in Texas, and and the fact we're about to talk about a um a camp that you kind of took part in.
- 1:16SPEAKER_13: And this was kind of, you know, that thing as well.
- 1:21SPEAKER_13: Not to start off on a on a bummer of a uh a note, but our prayers and thoughts are are with everybody.
- 1:28SPEAKER_13: Yeah, that's crazy, man.
- 1:29SPEAKER_13: Down in Texas, you know.
- 1:31SPEAKER_10: When your river goes up 26 feet in 45 minutes, yeah.
- 1:36SPEAKER_10: That's insane.
- 1:37SPEAKER_13: It is insane.
- 1:37SPEAKER_10: That's insane.
- 1:38SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:39SPEAKER_10: And I mean that I I can't even I can't even fathom that.
- 1:42SPEAKER_13: And and the fact that, you know, it's because I'm I'm actually struggling with it because, you know, all these helpless children at two or three o'clock in the morning.
- 1:51SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 1:51SPEAKER_13: I mean, I mean you don't know.
- 1:53SPEAKER_13: You don't know.
- 1:53SPEAKER_13: You don't know.
- 1:54SPEAKER_13: No.
- 1:54SPEAKER_10: So it's it's because it's weird, it's weird out there because it's it's hilly.
- 2:00SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 2:00SPEAKER_10: And it's dry.
- 2:01SPEAKER_10: So when you get a lot of rain like that, it's not gonna get soaked into the ground.
- 2:05SPEAKER_13: Right.
- 2:05SPEAKER_10: It's just gonna hit the ground and just yeah.
- 2:08SPEAKER_10: You know, it's just gonna bum rush everything.
- 2:10SPEAKER_13: And there was speculation, and I just read that there is confirmation that two or three days before this happened, there was a company that was doing cloud seeding in that area where they they they seed the clouds for for rain.
- 2:31SPEAKER_13: But they said that that wouldn't have affected it um that much, especially especially days after.
- 2:39SPEAKER_10: Yeah, I mean that I mean that's gotta be, I mean, clouds move.
- 2:42SPEAKER_10: Yeah, you know, exactly.
- 2:43SPEAKER_10: I mean, you know, it's gonna it's probably, you know, probably in the Atlantic Ocean by now.
- 2:48SPEAKER_10: Yeah, you know, two or three days.
- 2:49SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 2:50SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 2:50SPEAKER_10: It's not, it's not that.
- 2:51SPEAKER_13: So, you know, um just as a dad, you know, it uh well yeah, I mean, they were all little kids.
- 2:57SPEAKER_10: Little kids.
- 2:58SPEAKER_10: Yeah, little kids.
- 2:59SPEAKER_10: I I break your heart.
- 3:00SPEAKER_13: And kids that have gone to that camp for years.
- 3:02SPEAKER_13: Yeah, you know, many people have gone to that camp for years.
- 3:04SPEAKER_13: So it's um it's um kind of a sad way to start the podcast, but I just wanted to make mention of it.
- 3:09SPEAKER_13: That's it's not.
- 3:10SPEAKER_10: I'm sure in the future they'll be if when they rebuild it, it'll be in a different Yeah.
- 3:17SPEAKER_10: There'll be some sort of a dike or something or something, you know, or just move it away from, you know, in case this thing happens again.
- 3:24SPEAKER_13: I read I read that this happened in the same area in like 1987.
- 3:28SPEAKER_13: So it has happened before.
- 3:29SPEAKER_13: It's happened before, yeah.
- 3:30SPEAKER_13: Um that's a long time since it's happened, but still, you know, I I Well, I mean you can't predict these things.
- 3:36SPEAKER_10: I mean, you know, you don't expect it and just out of nowhere.
- 3:40SPEAKER_10: Bam.
- 3:41SPEAKER_13: Right.
- 3:41SPEAKER_13: You know.
- 3:42SPEAKER_13: Uh terrible segue, I know, but uh you had uh little adventure at a camp yourself.
- 3:49SPEAKER_10: Yeah, I'm playing drums in a worship band at a at a church camp by my it's been fun, man.
- 3:56SPEAKER_10: Well, you know, it's because it's my cousin Stacy.
- 3:58SPEAKER_10: So are you doing it like every day?
- 4:00SPEAKER_10: Every night, yeah.
- 4:01SPEAKER_10: Every night, okay.
- 4:02SPEAKER_10: Since Sunday night I've been doing it.
- 4:03SPEAKER_10: Oh nice.
- 4:03SPEAKER_10: Yeah, it's fun, man.
- 4:05SPEAKER_10: Uh you know, because I used to play drums, well, Stacy and her husband Scott lived down in Bangor.
- 4:11SPEAKER_13: Right.
- 4:11SPEAKER_10: And they took over the worship team at that church down there.
- 4:16SPEAKER_10: They didn't have a drummer, so they asked me if I would go down.
- 4:19SPEAKER_13: So you would drive down to Bangor?
- 4:20SPEAKER_10: I drove down to Bangor like on a Sunday morning.
- 4:22SPEAKER_10: I'd get up at the buck crack of dawn and drive down there and play in their church band.
- 4:28SPEAKER_10: And I did that probably maybe once a month or something like that.
- 4:32SPEAKER_13: For how long?
- 4:32SPEAKER_10: I did that for like four or five years.
- 4:34SPEAKER_10: Did you really?
- 4:35SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 4:35SPEAKER_10: Wow.
- 4:36SPEAKER_10: So and then after a while, her husband learned how to play drums during that time, so now he took over.
- 4:41SPEAKER_10: So I was like, okay, that's cool.
- 4:42SPEAKER_10: But uh they're running this week of the camp, so he can't do it.
- 4:47SPEAKER_10: He's so he's running the soundboard and they needed a drummer.
- 4:51SPEAKER_10: So the whole band is count uh is other counselors from the camp.
- 4:56SPEAKER_10: Right.
- 4:56SPEAKER_10: Incruding including my little cousin Lindsay, who, you know, when I was playing down there was like four or five years old at the time.
- 5:03SPEAKER_10: Now she's she's 17.
- 5:04SPEAKER_10: I'm like, holy crap, I never thought I'd be playing in a band with her.
- 5:08SPEAKER_12: Right.
- 5:08SPEAKER_10: But it's cool.
- 5:09SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 5:10SPEAKER_10: But uh yeah, but uh so we play every night.
- 5:13SPEAKER_10: We play for like 10, 15 minutes.
- 5:15SPEAKER_10: So I get there like early.
- 5:16SPEAKER_10: We uh we have like a little rehearsal.
- 5:18SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 5:18SPEAKER_10: And then and then, you know, there's a little, you know, they do a little thing and then a concert.
- 5:23SPEAKER_10: No, it's just it's just like part of the worship service.
- 5:25SPEAKER_13: Got it, okay.
- 5:26SPEAKER_10: So it just it's just well, I mean, they're Wesleyan's.
- 5:29SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 5:29SPEAKER_10: So I I call 'em rock and roll Baptists.
- 5:32SPEAKER_10: Okay.
- 5:32SPEAKER_10: Because they're kind of a truss between Baptists and Pentecostals.
- 5:36SPEAKER_12: Right.
- 5:36SPEAKER_12: Okay.
- 5:36SPEAKER_10: You know, they get that Pentecostal energy with that Baptist, you know, like theology.
- 5:41SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 5:41SPEAKER_10: So it's kinda I call them rock and roll Baptists.
- 5:43SPEAKER_10: But anyway, it's it's but it's there's what, what, six of us, I think, in this band.
- 5:49SPEAKER_10: Wow.
- 5:49SPEAKER_10: So I'm the drummer and there and uh there's a s there's a girl that sings and So Stacy plays p piano.
- 5:55SPEAKER_10: No, she's not she actually she only played the first night.
- 5:57SPEAKER_10: Oh.
- 5:58SPEAKER_10: Now she's just like directing.
- 5:59SPEAKER_10: Oh.
- 6:00SPEAKER_10: So it's just me and all these teenage camp counselors playing in this band.
- 6:06SPEAKER_10: But the funny thing is, is that two of the girls are sisters.
- 6:09SPEAKER_10: It's Violet and Maddie.
- 6:11SPEAKER_10: Maddie plays bass, and Violet sings and plays guitar and keyboards.
- 6:17SPEAKER_12: Uh-huh.
- 6:17SPEAKER_10: We're soup both super talented.
- 6:19SPEAKER_12: Yep.
- 6:20SPEAKER_10: Apparently they're huge fans of the syndicate.
- 6:23SPEAKER_10: Oh, wow.
- 6:24SPEAKER_10: And Stacy told me Sunday night that they were so excited they get to play with Doug from the Syndicate.
- 6:32SPEAKER_12: So you're a celebrity.
- 6:34SPEAKER_10: I guess.
- 6:34SPEAKER_10: But I was just like, I haven't been behind a kit.
- 6:37SPEAKER_10: I haven't played behind a kit in a while.
- 6:40SPEAKER_10: Right.
- 6:40SPEAKER_10: So I'm still a little rusty.
- 6:41SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 6:42SPEAKER_10: So I was like, uh, this is like I hope this isn't like, you know, they're like, I played with that guy.
- 6:47SPEAKER_10: He sucks.
- 6:48SPEAKER_10: You know, they stopped coming to the syndicate shows.
- 6:51SPEAKER_10: So that's cool.
- 6:53SPEAKER_10: So it's been fun.
- 6:54SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 6:54SPEAKER_10: It's been fun being behind a kit again.
- 6:56SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 6:56SPEAKER_10: It's been a long time.
- 6:57SPEAKER_13: So we should jam sometime, like get get Shane up here and just plays just for us.
- 7:04SPEAKER_10: He's supposed to come up this summer sometime.
- 7:05SPEAKER_10: But yeah, but just just for us.
- 7:07SPEAKER_10: Yeah, it would be fun.
- 7:08SPEAKER_13: Just get together and set some stuff up and jam out, man.
- 7:11SPEAKER_10: Like we used to.
- 7:12SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 7:12SPEAKER_10: Like the old days.
- 7:13SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 7:14SPEAKER_10: Scott actually asked me about uh you guys gonna have a common crossing route?
- 7:19SPEAKER_10: I'm like, how will we get Josh off tour?
- 7:22SPEAKER_13: Yeah, exactly.
- 7:23SPEAKER_13: And he's not coming up here.
- 7:24SPEAKER_13: He's playing with Austin again.
- 7:25SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 7:26SPEAKER_13: I saw that.
- 7:26SPEAKER_10: Yeah, he's well he's I don't know if he's doing between Gretchen Wilson and yeah, I think Gretchen's on a break.
- 7:31SPEAKER_13: Oh, okay.
- 7:32SPEAKER_13: And and Austin needed uh guitar player, so he went out and is playing.
- 7:36SPEAKER_10: Because he's not playing with the other guy.
- 7:37SPEAKER_13: No, there's he's a solo now, Austin Solar.
- 7:41SPEAKER_13: Yep, yep.
- 7:42SPEAKER_13: So, but that's I mean, obviously he's keeping busy, but he had a post uh was it yesterday, I think, that I thought was great on his Instagram where him holding the baby.
- 7:52SPEAKER_13: Oh yeah, yeah.
- 7:52SPEAKER_13: Just you just see the baby's arms, and he says, you know, he says, being on the root road is great, but this will always be, you know, yeah, better.
- 7:58SPEAKER_13: Better.
- 7:59SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 7:59SPEAKER_13: And I I I clicked on it, amen, brother.
- 8:01SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 8:02SPEAKER_13: Yeah, that's that's pretty cool.
- 8:03SPEAKER_13: He's a dad.
- 8:04SPEAKER_13: He's a dad.
- 8:04SPEAKER_13: It's crazy to think about.
- 8:05SPEAKER_13: Um what was it?
- 8:08SPEAKER_13: What else was I gonna say?
- 8:09SPEAKER_13: Oh, so not to jump around, but we're we're we're gonna jump, jump, jump, jump, jump, jump around.
- 8:14SPEAKER_13: Um I was at KMH today.
- 8:16SPEAKER_13: Uh our lovely sponsor, KMH Music.
- 8:19SPEAKER_13: And my stuff there.
- 8:21SPEAKER_13: They are um they're they had a a special on on vinyl.
- 8:25SPEAKER_13: And I just wanted to show you this because I thought it was quite funny.
- 8:30SPEAKER_13: So so Is it a weird owl album?
- 8:32SPEAKER_13: No, no.
- 8:32SPEAKER_13: I'm not I'm not funny.
- 8:34SPEAKER_13: Yeah, I'm not gonna tell you the albums I got.
- 8:35SPEAKER_13: I mean, I I got I only got two albums, but I did get a CD.
- 8:38SPEAKER_11: Okay.
- 8:39SPEAKER_13: So um, because they do sell CDs there as well.
- 8:44SPEAKER_13: Very, very few, but but I saw one, I was like, hmm, I don't have this one.
- 8:48SPEAKER_13: And this is classic.
- 8:51SPEAKER_13: So I didn't even look at I didn't even, you know, I was just like, oh I'm gonna get this.
- 8:55SPEAKER_13: So I put it down, I get an album, I put it down in my pile or whatever.
- 8:59SPEAKER_13: And so So this is um what I bought.
- 9:04SPEAKER_13: I have a bunch of Rodney Crowell, but I don't have this one.
- 9:07SPEAKER_13: This one was one of the ones that kind of put him on the map.
- 9:10SPEAKER_13: Uh Rodney Crowell Diamonds and Dirt.
- 9:13SPEAKER_13: And I was just about to put it into my iTunes.
- 9:17SPEAKER_13: Um but uh and I'm reading the song titles on the back.
- 9:21SPEAKER_13: And uh I wanted to see you know how many of these he wrote.
- 9:26SPEAKER_13: So I opened it up.
- 9:28SPEAKER_13: I'm gonna let you uh go ahead and open that up and take a look.
- 9:33SPEAKER_13: Wow.
- 9:34SPEAKER_13: That's clever.
- 9:35SPEAKER_13: Keep going.
- 9:37SPEAKER_13: Take out the sleeves, the sleeves.
- 9:38SPEAKER_10: Take out the sleeves?
- 9:39SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 9:46SPEAKER_10: Somebody went through a lot of trouble.
- 9:47SPEAKER_12: Yeah, they did.
- 9:48SPEAKER_13: It's all photocopy.
- 9:51SPEAKER_13: And it's a burned CD.
- 9:54SPEAKER_10: That's the funniest part.
- 9:55SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 9:56SPEAKER_13: I don't I don't think Morton knew that.
- 9:58SPEAKER_10: I obviously not.
- 9:59SPEAKER_10: Well, when I looked at it, I wouldn't have known.
- 10:01SPEAKER_10: I mean, if you look at it, you're just like, oh, it's just a black and white picture.
- 10:04SPEAKER_13: I didn't know it either, because I because I bought it.
- 10:06SPEAKER_13: And that's fine.
- 10:08SPEAKER_13: Does I mean does the CD play?
- 10:10SPEAKER_13: I haven't tried it.
- 10:11SPEAKER_13: Oh, yeah.
- 10:11SPEAKER_13: I'm sure it does.
- 10:13SPEAKER_13: And and it still has don't worry about it.
- 10:15SPEAKER_13: And it's I mean, it's got I mean, if it works, it's got the music on it.
- 10:19SPEAKER_13: So that's well, that's all you want, really.
- 10:21SPEAKER_13: It doesn't matter what the CDs is.
- 10:22SPEAKER_13: But I just thought I uh just before you came, I opened that up and I'm like, oh my word.
- 10:26SPEAKER_10: That's well that that reminds me of remember when I bought when the Bull Moose had time and I bought that docking CD, but it was the it was the Smiths?
- 10:33SPEAKER_13: Yes.
- 10:34SPEAKER_13: You actually we did that on the podcast together.
- 10:38SPEAKER_13: Um nice shirt.
- 10:40SPEAKER_13: Stripers, the final battle.
- 10:42SPEAKER_10: It's one of two striper shirts I own.
- 10:44SPEAKER_10: Um the reason I have an old school um one from uh from To Hell with the Devil.
- 10:51SPEAKER_10: I might wear that tomorrow for the last night of uh Oh, yeah.
- 10:54SPEAKER_10: Well, one of the counselors had a Wu-Tang clan shirt on today, so I was like, well, apparently there's no dress code here.
- 11:01SPEAKER_10: So Wu-Tang! I was like, Wu-Tang! Wu-Tang for life.
- 11:07SPEAKER_13: Um The reason I point that out is have you heard Striper's new song?
- 11:12SPEAKER_10: I have not yet.
- 11:12SPEAKER_13: I saw I saw it came out, but I didn't get the chance to listen to it.
- 11:15SPEAKER_13: Okay, well, I want to show it to you because I was listening to it the other day and it's good.
- 11:19SPEAKER_13: I mean, it sounds it sounds like Stryper.
- 11:22SPEAKER_10: Well, I would hope so.
- 11:24SPEAKER_13: Um but we did get some news that Oz Fox is going to come off.
- 11:29SPEAKER_10: Yeah, they got uh Howie Smith or something like that playing guitar.
- 11:33SPEAKER_13: Which is who was filled in for Oz before.
- 11:36SPEAKER_13: Because if you don't know Oz Fox, um the uh guitar player rhythm guitar player, actually.
- 11:42SPEAKER_13: I mean I think he does some lead.
- 11:44SPEAKER_10: I did, yeah, some lead.
- 11:45SPEAKER_13: Um he had brain cancer.
- 11:48SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 11:49SPEAKER_13: And had surgery, and he's doing well, but he can't really go on a lengthy tour or anything like that.
- 11:56SPEAKER_13: So he's I think he's still in the band and and all that good stuff.
- 12:00SPEAKER_13: Oops.
- 12:01SPEAKER_13: That's a commercial, sorry about that.
- 12:03SPEAKER_13: Uh so this is uh the new song from Striper.
- 12:08SPEAKER_13: And it is I'm trying to think if it's from do you know what their new album is called?
- 12:15SPEAKER_10: All I know is the new album.
- 12:17SPEAKER_10: They're making a Christmas album right now.
- 12:20SPEAKER_10: They just finished their it's in production now.
- 12:24SPEAKER_10: I mean, they finished all the tracks and the vocals all the time.
- 12:26SPEAKER_13: Well, maybe this is just a one-off.
- 12:28SPEAKER_10: It might be, or just like a like a single to tie just over.
- 12:32SPEAKER_10: Yeah, or something like that.
- 12:33SPEAKER_13: So this is called Unforgivable.
- 12:35SPEAKER_13: This is new stuff from Striper.
- 12:39SPEAKER_13: All right, so I'm gonna go to the house.
- 14:02SPEAKER_10: I mean, since they, you know, got back into the swing of things.
- 14:06SPEAKER_13: They just are harder.
- 14:07SPEAKER_10: Way harder than they ever were in the 80s.
- 14:09SPEAKER_13: Yep, harder edge, for sure.
- 14:11SPEAKER_13: Uh so that's pretty cool.
- 14:12SPEAKER_10: And again, I don't know if it's a one-off or if it's a it's gotta be, because like I said, the only album I know of coming out is a Christmas album.
- 14:18SPEAKER_13: Right.
- 14:19SPEAKER_10: Which will which will be interesting.
- 14:21SPEAKER_10: I can't wait for that one.
- 14:22SPEAKER_13: Um and I have another uh song I want to play.
- 14:27SPEAKER_13: I haven't heard it yet.
- 14:29SPEAKER_13: Uh and then we'll go and we'll uh see what else what other news we've got.
- 14:34SPEAKER_13: But I did I did want to say this.
- 14:37SPEAKER_13: Uh your mother lost her iPad?
- 14:39SPEAKER_11: Yeah.
- 14:41SPEAKER_13: She laid it on the back of the car and forgot about it?
- 14:43SPEAKER_11: Yeah.
- 14:44SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 14:45SPEAKER_13: And then she took her car into Blaine.
- 14:47SPEAKER_13: Yes.
- 14:48SPEAKER_13: So it's between her house and the potato stand uh in Blaine.
- 14:53SPEAKER_10: Yeah, and I I I drove that and I didn't see it.
- 14:56SPEAKER_13: So you went looking for it.
- 14:57SPEAKER_10: Well, she went looking for it, and then I just happened to know it'd be I had had to go play.
- 15:01SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 15:01SPEAKER_10: So I just looked too, but I who knows where it is.
- 15:04SPEAKER_10: That stinks.
- 15:05SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 15:05SPEAKER_10: I don't know why she had to take it.
- 15:07SPEAKER_10: I mean, you know.
- 15:08SPEAKER_10: Well, I mean I get it, but I don't know.
- 15:12SPEAKER_13: Uh let's see.
- 15:13SPEAKER_13: So Foo Fighters.
- 15:15SPEAKER_13: They fired their drummer, Josh Frees.
- 15:18SPEAKER_13: And I don't know, uh first new music from uh from the Foo Fighters since 2023's but here we are.
- 15:28SPEAKER_13: This is called Today's Song.
- 15:31SPEAKER_13: Um there's really no um it's to mark their 30th anniversary, apparently.
- 15:38SPEAKER_13: There's no other context.
- 15:39SPEAKER_13: And look, I mean you can see the article is really oh no, I guess there's more to it.
- 15:43SPEAKER_13: Uh release a statement noting over the years we've had moments of unbridled joy, moments of devastating heartbreak, moments of beautiful victory, and moments of painful defeat.
- 15:51SPEAKER_13: We have mended broken bones and broken hearts, but we have followed this road together with each other, for each other, no matter what, because in life you just can't go it alone.
- 16:00SPEAKER_13: Um it should go without saying that without the boundless energy of William Goldsmith, the seasoned wisdom of Franz Stahl, and the thunderous wizardry of Josh Frees, the story would be incomplete.
- 16:15SPEAKER_13: So we extend our heartfelt gratitude for the time, music, and memories that we shared with each of them over the years.
- 16:20SPEAKER_13: Thank you, gentlemen.
- 16:21SPEAKER_13: And Taylor, your name is spoken every day.
- 16:24SPEAKER_13: Sometimes with tears, sometimes with a smile, but you are still in everything we do, everywhere we go, forever.
- 16:30SPEAKER_13: Um so to mark the 30th 30th anniversary, this is the Foo Fighters today's song.
- 16:36SPEAKER_13: And if there are drums, I don't know who's playing them.
- 16:39SPEAKER_13: Probably him.
- 16:39SPEAKER_13: Probably it's probably Dave.
- 16:40SPEAKER_13: Yeah, probably Dave.
- 16:41SPEAKER_13: So let's see what this sounds like.
- 16:44SPEAKER_03: I woke today, screaming for change, and know that I must hear a shadow.
- 16:57SPEAKER_03: Ashes to ashes, dust and to dust.
- 17:05SPEAKER_03: You know that nothing can prepare you.
- 17:16SPEAKER_03: Don't let these group work prepare you.
- 17:27SPEAKER_03: Waiting for someone to prepare you.
- 18:40SPEAKER_10: It's typical Foo Fighters.
- 18:41SPEAKER_13: Typical Foo Fighters.
- 18:42SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 18:43SPEAKER_13: It seems very it seems even more compressed than most food fighters.
- 18:47SPEAKER_13: You can hear the the compression in it.
- 18:50SPEAKER_13: I mean, a lot of Foo Fighters music is is that way, but and maybe I'm just getting old and it's you know.
- 18:57SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 18:58SPEAKER_13: Nah, nah.
- 18:59SPEAKER_13: Not me.
- 19:00SPEAKER_13: So that's good stuff.
- 19:02SPEAKER_13: Um speaking of drummers parting ways, did you see Matt Cameron?
- 19:06SPEAKER_13: Yeah, he's leaving Pearl Jam.
- 19:09SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 19:09SPEAKER_13: Um no reason was given.
- 19:10SPEAKER_13: No.
- 19:11SPEAKER_13: Just decided.
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 19:15SPEAKER_13: So um boy.
- 19:18SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 19:19SPEAKER_13: Um Good luck finding your dad.
- 19:24SPEAKER_13: Did I ever tell you that story?
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: What?
- 19:26SPEAKER_13: About um no, I yeah, I did, I did on the podcast.
- 19:30SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 19:31SPEAKER_13: One of my chorus students, remember I I used that.
- 19:34SPEAKER_11: Oh yeah.
- 19:35SPEAKER_13: Yeah, yeah.
- 19:36SPEAKER_13: We won't go there again.
- 19:36SPEAKER_13: Yeah, that's right.
- 19:37SPEAKER_13: I forgot.
- 19:38SPEAKER_13: Um so speaking of Dave Grohl, I would th have thought he would have been a part of that big Black Sabbath show.
- 19:50SPEAKER_10: Um I thought the Food Fighters were there.
- 19:53SPEAKER_13: I don't think so.
- 19:54SPEAKER_10: I thought they were.
- 19:57SPEAKER_13: Let's see.
- 20:00SPEAKER_13: Uh well, I can click on this one.
- 20:01SPEAKER_13: It says who will cover which Black Sabbath songs at their farewell show.
- 20:06SPEAKER_13: Um, Guns N' Roses, Tool, Slayer, Pantera, Alice and Chains, Anthrax, Steven Tyler, and that's it.
- 20:25SPEAKER_13: I mean, there were other artists there, but those are the.
- 20:27SPEAKER_10: I could have swore I saw them on the list.
- 20:29SPEAKER_13: Uh I think they were notably absent.
- 20:32SPEAKER_13: And Dave Grohl was somebody I mean, he's a huge Black Sabbath fan.
- 20:35SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 20:36SPEAKER_10: Uh but maybe it's because they don't have a drummer and I mean I mean it could be.
- 20:40SPEAKER_10: But I mean, who wouldn't play for Foo Fighters and at that show?
- 20:45SPEAKER_10: Right, exactly.
- 20:45SPEAKER_10: You know what I mean?
- 20:46SPEAKER_13: Maybe they're like, you probably couldn't So speaking of that show, I've only seen because you it's a pay-per-view thing and I didn't I didn't know uh I've only seen I've seen clips.
- 20:56SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 20:56SPEAKER_13: A lot of clips, actually.
- 20:57SPEAKER_13: Nuno Betancourt apparently was the most valuable player of that of that whole um festival, that whole show.
- 21:05SPEAKER_13: Oh sure.
- 21:06SPEAKER_13: Um he played um well he was only supposed to play three songs.
- 21:12SPEAKER_13: Uh but people kept coming to him and saying, Can you do this one?
- 21:16SPEAKER_13: And so he ended up playing twelve.
- 21:19SPEAKER_13: Twelve songs, uh Black Sabbath songs, Aussie songs.
- 21:22SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 21:23SPEAKER_13: Um and he knew all the parts.
- 21:26SPEAKER_13: Well of course he did.
- 21:27SPEAKER_13: He known all.
- 21:28SPEAKER_13: I mean, even Jakey Lee was up there and he told uh Nuno, of course, Jakey Lee's still recovering.
- 21:35SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 21:35SPEAKER_13: I don't know if you knew that.
- 21:36SPEAKER_13: Uh he got shot.
- 21:38SPEAKER_13: Um but he said he can't do Bark on the Moon.
- 21:42SPEAKER_13: Uh he's just not able to do it these days.
- 21:46SPEAKER_13: And so without a beat, Nuno Betancourt stepped stepped up and and did Bark on the Moon and a couple other ones.
- 21:51SPEAKER_13: So ultimate sin, I think.
- 21:53SPEAKER_13: And um but I mean from everybody that I've seen um online that are talking about this.
- 22:02SPEAKER_13: They're all talking about how Newton Betancourt just killed it.
- 22:05SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 22:06SPEAKER_13: So they said, you know, he did his homework and and of course he did.
- 22:09SPEAKER_13: Um I did watch and it was c I didn't think it would aff affect me because I you know, I appreciate Black Sabbath.
- 22:17SPEAKER_13: I was never a big Sabbath fan.
- 22:19SPEAKER_13: Right.
- 22:20SPEAKER_13: Um I appreciate appreciate Aussie.
- 22:22SPEAKER_13: I was never a huge Aussie fan.
- 22:24SPEAKER_13: Right.
- 22:24SPEAKER_13: I mean I I I love the music, but uh and I own some of the music, but I'm I'm not like a mega fan.
- 22:30SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 22:31SPEAKER_13: Um but he did Mama I'm Coming Home and I mean he can barely I mean I shouldn't say he can barely sing.
- 22:40SPEAKER_13: He sang.
- 22:40SPEAKER_13: It was rough and he's he was sitting down he's got Parkinson's yeah you know uh but they they pan to like audience members and there's people crying.
- 22:51SPEAKER_13: You know just because it was kind of uh this is his last time doing that.
- 22:56SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 22:56SPEAKER_13: You know so it was kind of heavy.
- 22:58SPEAKER_13: Um who else?
- 23:00SPEAKER_13: Let's see Steven Tyler went up and did a Zeppelin tune and did Walk This Way and and he had been suffering he's the same age as Ozzy 77.
- 23:09SPEAKER_13: Yeah you wouldn't know it that guy.
- 23:13SPEAKER_13: He had been suffering from some vocal problems which is why Aerosmith canceled their residency and you know they cancelled a bunch of stuff um so he could rest and and whatnot.
- 23:25SPEAKER_13: He sounded amazing I mean and now there was talk of of you know putting that back together just so that they could that Aerosmith can say goodbye.
- 23:34SPEAKER_10: Sure.
- 23:34SPEAKER_10: Yeah we'll see yeah uh what else Stranger Things have happened.
- 23:37SPEAKER_13: Yeah what else let's see uh about that concert did you did you see any performances or anything from that concert?
- 23:46SPEAKER_10: No just clips mostly it's mostly of Ozzy.
- 23:49SPEAKER_13: Yeah obviously yeah paranoid the original Black Sabbath got up there all original members it was weird to see Bill Ward back there with no shirt.
- 23:58SPEAKER_13: Yeah I was like not a good look for you dude yeah well you know but you still killed it oh yeah you know um so let's see I'm looking at ultimate classic rock headlines here um and some that we might want to talk about I don't see any yet top 15 rock songs of 2025 so far boring yeah you'd have to know the rock songs we probably don't probably don't um top 50 American rock songs that's of course because of the 4th of July whatever that means I guess that makes sense um top 20 American rock bands of the 2000s nobody cares nobody cares um who covered which Black Sabbath Metallica debuts Black Sabbath deep cut at the back to the beginning concert did you hear what they I have no idea.
- 24:52SPEAKER_13: I didn't hear about this I didn't either let's see because I didn't get to see um let's see Metallica Rock Birmingham England's Villa Park as part of the gargantuan back to the beginning concert storming through a six song set of Sabbath covers and originals that got the audience primed for the evening's main attractions the Thrash Legends opened their set with the sabotage classic Hole in the Sky which they hadn't performed live since 2009.
- 25:22SPEAKER_13: They also dug deep into the Sabbath archives for a cover of Johnny Blade off Never Say Die, marking the first time they'd ever played the song live.
- 25:32SPEAKER_13: Um they also did Creeping Death For Whom the Bell Tolls Battery and Master of Puppets So I guess that's the deep cut hole in the sky I don't know if that's a deep cut buttons I mean it's not it's not a you know one of Black Sabbath's you know most popular songs.
- 25:52SPEAKER_13: True so um I'm looking at some of these headlines Scorpions are having uh there's a biopic coming um people playing uh playing the members of the scorpions that'll be weird it will be weird I mean they did it with Def Leopard and that was kind of an awful yeah I I don't know how I feel about I don't I mean that that just you know I don't know yeah I I I got mixed feelings about it.
- 26:17SPEAKER_10: I mean it'd be cool to see but I really don't want to watch some you know jag off try to be you know you know anybody in the scorpion exactly you're not even doing it right you just you suck.
- 26:33SPEAKER_10: Go back to being in a Marvel movie.
- 26:35SPEAKER_13: Come on so uh speaking of biopics uh here is there's a there was a story around the Ozzy Osbourne back to the beginning um concert where Sharon Osborne apparently fired a band off of the ticket like there was they were scheduled to perform and she said you're not performing I wonder who it was I think I know was it Foo Fighters?
- 27:06SPEAKER_13: No no no it wasn't a Foo Fighters uh and the reason that she gave was they were trying to cash in on it.
- 27:15SPEAKER_13: They were trying to um you know this was about uh being a tribute to Ozzy according to Sharon and and and and Black Sabbath and it was uh they wanted to get paid.
- 27:29SPEAKER_13: So these other performers they didn't get paid.
- 27:31SPEAKER_13: Right this band wanted to get paid.
- 27:34SPEAKER_13: And so she said no figure out it was nickel back I bet.
- 27:38SPEAKER_13: No I bet I know who it was because what other band has kind of a history with Ozzy uh did a lot of um kind of crazy antics with Aussie Wasp?
- 27:55SPEAKER_13: No they opened for Motley Crew Motley Crue that would make sense yeah I don't know that for sure I can't confirm that that was the band but that's that's what I suspect.
- 28:06SPEAKER_13: It wouldn't it wouldn't surprise me with that whole Dolly Parton right you would you would think that because I mean Motley Crue went on tour with Ozzy and they they he basically made Motley Crue.
- 28:18SPEAKER_13: Exactly that's what I'm saying.
- 28:20SPEAKER_13: And it was even in the movie The Dirt wasn't it?
- 28:22SPEAKER_10: Yeah yeah they showed that whole thing where Ozzy was snorting up ants.
- 28:25SPEAKER_13: Right yeah so the fact that there was there was a high profile band that was not allowed to perform I'm thinking I'm thinking it was Motley Cruz I wouldn't be surprised yeah me either um Ultimate Classic Rock does have a list of artists that they believe should get their own Back to the beginning concert.
- 28:50SPEAKER_10: Okay.
- 28:52SPEAKER_13: Um and I I don't disagree with a couple of these um because it's it's time you know for them to hang it up.
- 29:05SPEAKER_13: Right.
- 29:05SPEAKER_13: Aerosmith is one.
- 29:06SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 29:08SPEAKER_13: Um they for all intents and purposes have hung it up but hopefully Steven Tyler I mean he sounded fantastic at the end I'd like to see him go out on top exactly you know yeah you do want them to do like a a farewell even if not a farewell tour.
- 29:22SPEAKER_13: Or just do their residency then then do a a few concerts or something or or one big concert like they did with Ozzy.
- 29:28SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 29:29SPEAKER_13: Um Van Halen.
- 29:31SPEAKER_13: I don't think it's gonna I mean That's never gonna happen.
- 29:34SPEAKER_13: Well did they do that with Sammy and Mike?
- 29:38SPEAKER_13: The uh bat the uh uh best of both worlds tour I mean what was wasn't that what that was kind of I don't know what that was to be honest with you.
- 29:46SPEAKER_13: No it was just I think everybody was just broke.
- 29:49SPEAKER_13: Oh I don't think Sammy Hagar's broke not Sammy but everybody else um I think I I think they kind of tr that's what they kind of tried to do with that tour was to thank the fans and and oh I'm sure that's you know that was part of it.
- 30:03SPEAKER_13: Carry on the legacy of the music and stuff yeah but you're never gonna see that again.
- 30:07SPEAKER_13: Yeah I agree because I don't think Alex is going to be involved in anything like that.
- 30:10SPEAKER_13: Alex is not going to do anything Roth Roth is a loose cannon yeah you never know Wolfgang's got his own thing going on so you know Iron Maiden I don't think Iron Maiden's time to hang it up when is Iron Maiden never gonna stop exactly I don't think they're hanging it up anytime soon.
- 30:26SPEAKER_10: And the only way the only way you're gonna stop Iron Maiden is for Bruce Dickinson to crash their plane that's the only way they're gonna stop.
- 30:34SPEAKER_10: Right?
- 30:34SPEAKER_10: So well except for Nico he's not playing with them anymore he retired.
- 30:38SPEAKER_13: Nico McBrain yep yeah so um so Iron Maiden has uh Bruce Dickinson has uh said of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame he calls it vulgar and a mausoleum and declared that he wouldn't be caught dead in its hallways but they should still be voted in.
- 30:55SPEAKER_13: Okay.
- 30:56SPEAKER_13: Okay.
- 30:57SPEAKER_13: A C D C now A C D C um announced a um a small tour I think uh and they ha I've seen footage of them and there's people you know commenting about the footage that they should hang it up and I'm and I'm thinking I think they sound just as good as they always have.
- 31:18SPEAKER_13: I mean they're they're a bar band.
- 31:19SPEAKER_11: Yeah.
- 31:20SPEAKER_13: You know?
- 31:21SPEAKER_13: Um well maybe not just as good as they always have.
- 31:24SPEAKER_13: Brian Johnson is still I mean he can hit those notes but he's he it's harder obviously yeah um yeah A C D C I mean would you would you is that something you'd want to see?
- 31:37SPEAKER_10: No I don't because I'm I'm not a huge fan of AC I mean cousin Larry would have loved it.
- 31:41SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 31:42SPEAKER_10: He would love it but I'm not I'm not a huge AC DC fan so well I never was either I mean I like I like a lot of their songs but I'm not you know I'm not like one of those people that gets the album because I mean they all sound the same.
- 31:53SPEAKER_13: Right now this is true.
- 31:55SPEAKER_13: Rolling Stones?
- 31:56SPEAKER_10: Nah don't care.
- 31:58SPEAKER_10: Yeah I mean you They're just uh you know they're a Walmart version of the Beatles so I mean I really don't care.
- 32:04SPEAKER_13: Yeah and are they stopping anytime soon?
- 32:08SPEAKER_10: I mean they're I mean Mick you know Keith Richards is never gonna die so I mean when are they gonna stop?
- 32:13SPEAKER_10: Never exactly so yeah I mean what uh uh what Mick Jagger?
- 32:20SPEAKER_13: Mick Jagger thank you too I'm getting old yeah time for my back to back to the start thing right uh yeah he you know he's what eighty one or something like that something like that yeah so well I mean Paul McCartney's still going yeah he's 81 Eric Clapton's still going yeah so yeah but for how much longer but that's that's that's true so that's true uh time is ticking my friend time is ticking uh what was I going to oh um did you see the band that our friend Jay posted about the other day I did not um I only see his guitars I never see him post a band well he posted this thing to um Ashes and Arrows it's a band out of I believe out of North Carolina um and it's kind of um I guess it's not what Mr.
- 33:14SPEAKER_13: Green usually shares.
- 33:15SPEAKER_13: Okay.
- 33:16SPEAKER_13: It's I'm I'm not gonna say it's country but when these guys started harmonizing uh it was quite remarkable not remarkable but just really really well done so um this wasn't impressive to me until until they started kind of kind of harmonizing but because it it's it's great.
- 33:40SPEAKER_06: This is Ashes and Arrows a song called Hang On in my NC Is this just a game with no hand to play have I lost my eye in the end so far it's good.
- 34:39SPEAKER_05: Almost sounds like contemporary worship music well he's got a Chris Stapleton thing going on he does that do the lead finger stuff over the blender because he doesn't he's not playing anything well I think uh I I saw this I watched this when when Jay posted I was like wow that's pretty great and so I went to their page and they all kind of uh share lead vocals oh I see um I want to see what's this one here you'll see this this guy I think what you were talking about this guy wasn't even in that other video from the start of the room who's this guy it's in the band this is the guy that wasn't doing anything in the other video is playing guitar almost sounds too slick.
- 36:47SPEAKER_04: Well it sounds like yeah like you said before it sounds like worship music you know yeah worship music like the hillsong stuff yeah um yeah I don't know I uh a lot of it just from those two songs I mean they sound they're pretty similar pretty cookie cutter yep but they sound good now is this them too this is them too well this this is a little different you got that juicy watermelon smile creamy cappuccino ice am a miles dandy lion there we go you got cooked what's this avocado hips chocolate of it strawberry toast you just button mushroom nose I I did not hear this one I'm only doing with the final yeah okay we went from describing her like ooh like a meal to that she's yummy she's apparently um uh yeah you're right you nailed it though with that with that um uh Jason Morass that's what that sounded like very very Jason Morass looks like they were on AGT really yeah um is this the one that we the uh I don't know because a lot of them sound the same yeah they do thanks Terry Cruz anyway I like sharing you know new music that I that I find yeah I mean they're I mean they harmonize great yeah they sound good together yeah Ashes and Arrows is uh is that band thank you Jay Green for turning us on to that group um what else what else oh so uh we didn't talk about um we got rained out on on uh Thursday well I think they were a little overly cautious I think they were too because I ran into I was um in the store uh today actually and I ran into an old coworker of mine uh from the hospital and she said uh we really missed you uh last week on Thursday I said oh yeah I know that was a bummer she's like it was beautiful yeah blue skies well it was it what it was by the time we would have played well but before that it was pretty messy up to about a half hour before we would have played I guess I guess it was w rainy and wet till about 7 30.
- 40:13SPEAKER_13: Yeah and we played at 8 so right you know when you got 19 people yeah that's the thing logistically it just couldn't work it wouldn't uh it wouldn't have worked we're talking about the Star City Syndicate of course and um so so we I was I was I was bummed I was too I was looking forward to it I wasn't looking forward to parking because I friggin' hate driving trying to park there yeah it is this the streets in the in downtown are just ridiculous.
- 40:38SPEAKER_10: Well you can tell it's an old town it's one of the oldest towns in the county yeah just the way it's set up because it's just everything's just crammed in one space and then it's like everything else.
- 40:46SPEAKER_13: Right.
- 40:47SPEAKER_10: You know what I mean?
- 40:48SPEAKER_13: Yeah so so uh we didn't get to play there and I was bummed because I like playing for people that haven't heard us very often.
- 40:54SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 40:54SPEAKER_13: You know so because you gotta kinda try to work and win them over and stuff.
- 40:57SPEAKER_13: Exactly.
- 40:58SPEAKER_10: And you're still we're still new and old there.
- 41:01SPEAKER_13: Yeah yeah and you're kind of uh not on top of your game but you're try you you're trying to be like yeah you're trying to up one up you know yeah yeah so I was bummed that we didn't get to do that but we we did play um Ashland a couple days later um in the uh Larry Hall auditorium at Ashland District School and um and that was fun.
- 41:20SPEAKER_13: It was fun.
- 41:21SPEAKER_10: Um typical Ashland class uh crowd.
- 41:23SPEAKER_13: Yeah typical Ashland cra crowd um I was suffering from a migraine you were hurting oh man hurting unit well I I was better by the time we played but so my daughter that the reason I got a migraine because I'm really dumb.
- 41:38SPEAKER_13: I'm really stupid.
- 41:40SPEAKER_13: My daughter had we went to Canada this is a funny story actually.
- 41:44SPEAKER_13: Well I think it's funny.
- 41:46SPEAKER_13: So my daughter had a swim meet in Canada in Heartland New Brunswick on Saturday morning.
- 41:52SPEAKER_13: And so we drove over across the border and we when we w went over into Canada the um customs in Canada or Border Patrol whatever they said uh uh they I gave him our passport and uh so he's looking the passports over and he says When's the last time Teresa was in Canada and we're like um Teresa was like I don't know 2000 why why has it been so long?
- 42:28SPEAKER_13: And I wanted to say because your country sucks but I didn't guys a bunch of losers no because you know she's she's not had a reason to if you don't have a reason to go why go?
- 42:38SPEAKER_13: Exactly so he was sh but he was kind of joking as you know what you know whatever.
- 42:45SPEAKER_10: And was that on was that their customs or our customs?
- 42:48SPEAKER_13: That was their customs on the way over in Fort Fairfield.
- 42:50SPEAKER_13: So so we went we went to uh the swim meet and uh it was I don't know 80 degrees 75 80 degrees yeah it was a warm day um I'm sitting in the sun I'm fair skinned you know that I'm sitting in the sun you're definitely a white boy yeah sitting in the sun and I thought about this later I didn't drink anything the entire morning.
- 43:14SPEAKER_13: That was your bed yeah and so so by the time like lunchtime came around and it was time to leave I was starting to get a headache.
- 43:22SPEAKER_13: Yeah and so you know I was kind of okay driving home and even we got to so we got to the border in Bridgewater.
- 43:30SPEAKER_13: I didn't want to go all the way to Fort so we we got to the border in Bridgewater and the U.S.
- 43:34SPEAKER_13: Border Patrol was like um this is the first time you guys have used these passports and I said actually yes I think since we since we you know re upped them the so obviously we don't we're not very we're not world travelers.
- 43:55SPEAKER_10: I probably like I can barely open the book it's hard
- 44:01SPEAKER_13: So, uh when did you get this done?
- 44:03SPEAKER_13: Yesterday?
- 44:04SPEAKER_13: I so I we drive into Bridgewater and I I have to stop in in Mars Hill to to get some caffeine.
- 44:10SPEAKER_13: Because my head is pounding.
- 44:12SPEAKER_13: And by the time I got home, I was just and this was my maybe 1230, one o'clock, something like that.
- 44:21SPEAKER_13: Have you ever had a migraine?
- 44:23SPEAKER_10: I've had really bad head.
- 44:24SPEAKER_10: I don't know if we could classify them as a migraine.
- 44:27SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 44:27SPEAKER_13: Well a migraine is excruciatingly painful.
- 44:31SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 44:32SPEAKER_13: And it doesn't show any signs of leaving.
- 44:37SPEAKER_13: Right.
- 44:37SPEAKER_13: You know, and you're sensitive to light.
- 44:39SPEAKER_13: My eyes were closed the whole time.
- 44:41SPEAKER_13: I went to bed.
- 44:42SPEAKER_13: Uh turned the fan on, went to bed to try to get but it was like it was like, you know, you have to kind of turn your head a certain way to find a place.
- 44:51SPEAKER_13: You know, sometimes I had to I had to sit up.
- 44:53SPEAKER_13: Yeah, because even laying down, you're in pain.
- 44:56SPEAKER_13: Right.
- 44:57SPEAKER_13: So I sit up and I had to kind of find a place.
- 45:01SPEAKER_13: Looking over here.
- 45:02SPEAKER_13: Oh, right there is okay.
- 45:04SPEAKER_13: Can't move.
- 45:05SPEAKER_13: Okay, I can't move.
- 45:07SPEAKER_13: And then I have to lay down because I'm just exhausted.
- 45:09SPEAKER_13: Anyway.
- 45:10SPEAKER_13: So I dealt with that and I I ended up puking one time.
- 45:16SPEAKER_10: That's a normal way.
- 45:18SPEAKER_13: Yeah, it is.
- 45:19SPEAKER_13: Uh a lot.
- 45:21SPEAKER_13: And then I I wasn't gonna say I felt better, but I felt a little better.
- 45:25SPEAKER_13: So I slept for a little bit.
- 45:27SPEAKER_13: Still had a very bad headache.
- 45:30SPEAKER_13: Um woke up, thought I was gonna be okay.
- 45:33SPEAKER_13: Threw up again.
- 45:34SPEAKER_13: And this went on for uh gosh, four hours?
- 45:39SPEAKER_13: Something like that.
- 45:39SPEAKER_13: All afternoon.
- 45:41SPEAKER_13: And this is riveting the podcast uh content.
- 45:45SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 45:46SPEAKER_13: Right.
- 45:46SPEAKER_13: So, but I will tell you, th there's a puke cat there's a method to my madness because I had read somewhere, and my wife says, I told you this.
- 45:58SPEAKER_13: You know, I I don't take anything my wife says seriously, I guess.
- 46:05SPEAKER_13: Until I until somebody else says it.
- 46:07SPEAKER_13: Sure.
- 46:07SPEAKER_13: Or you know, it's just a marriage.
- 46:09SPEAKER_13: I don't know.
- 46:10SPEAKER_13: But I said, I read somewhere.
- 46:12SPEAKER_13: I'm sitting on the bathroom floor.
- 46:15SPEAKER_12: I read somewhere that if you I soak my feet in hot water, it would help.
- 46:22SPEAKER_12: Can you get me some hot water?
- 46:25SPEAKER_13: So she says, I told you that.
- 46:28SPEAKER_13: I'm the one that told you that.
- 46:30SPEAKER_13: No, no, I read it.
- 46:31SPEAKER_13: No, no, I told anyway.
- 46:34SPEAKER_13: So she brought me this this bucket of this tub of hot water.
- 46:37SPEAKER_13: I put my feet in it.
- 46:40SPEAKER_13: I want to say ten minutes.
- 46:44SPEAKER_13: Fifteen fifteen fifteen minutes maybe.
- 46:48SPEAKER_13: Um and the headache had subsided.
- 46:55SPEAKER_13: Hey girl.
- 47:05SPEAKER_01: How's it going?
- 47:08SPEAKER_01: She said hi.
- 47:12SPEAKER_10: Oh, hi, Lev.
- 47:18SPEAKER_07: Well, uh, looking forward to this episode.
- 47:22SPEAKER_13: Yes, you know you're on it now.
- 47:24SPEAKER_13: Yeah, you're on it now.
- 47:26SPEAKER_13: Holding you up to the microphone.
- 47:29SPEAKER_13: Okay.
- 47:31SPEAKER_13: She just resigned herself to be a part of it.
- 47:34SPEAKER_13: Actually, I I'm this is the hold on.
- 47:36SPEAKER_13: I'm holding the microphone to the microphone.
- 47:37SPEAKER_13: There.
- 47:38SPEAKER_13: This is the the earpiece, right?
- 47:40SPEAKER_13: Say something.
- 47:41SPEAKER_13: Uh there we go.
- 47:43SPEAKER_13: Oh, okay.
- 47:44SPEAKER_13: I'm done.
- 47:44SPEAKER_10: Your father doesn't understand phones.
- 47:47SPEAKER_07: The split second before you answered, I go in my head.
- 47:52SPEAKER_07: What day is today?
- 47:56SPEAKER_07: Great.
- 47:58SPEAKER_13: It's okay.
- 47:58SPEAKER_13: When you call, it makes the podcast even better.
- 48:02SPEAKER_07: Okay.
- 48:02SPEAKER_07: Well, there you go.
- 48:03SPEAKER_07: You're welcome, everybody.
- 48:05SPEAKER_13: Did you uh did you have something pressing that you needed or No, just wanted to talk through something, but you're really pretty.
- 48:15SPEAKER_01: Anyone ever told you that?
- 48:17SPEAKER_10: Oh, yeah, of course she's pretty.
- 48:18SPEAKER_10: Come on, come on.
- 48:19SPEAKER_13: Look at her mom, right?
- 48:23SPEAKER_13: Um speaking of your mom, your mom and everybody else is up at the soccer field playing like an alumni game or something.
- 48:29SPEAKER_13: Or scrimmage.
- 48:30SPEAKER_13: Scrimmage.
- 48:31SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 48:32SPEAKER_13: So.
- 48:32SPEAKER_13: Um you can call me a little bit later if you want.
- 48:36unknown: Okay.
- 48:38SPEAKER_13: That's me putting you up to the microphone.
- 48:40SPEAKER_13: Okay.
- 48:42SPEAKER_10: She's just like, I'm used to your weirdness, alright?
- 48:48SPEAKER_13: Alright.
- 48:49SPEAKER_13: Um this is episode 250, in case you're looking for it.
- 48:56SPEAKER_12: Yeah, I'm not downloading that one.
- 48:58SPEAKER_12: Alright, I will talk to you later.
- 49:01SPEAKER_13: Love you, bye.
- 49:02SPEAKER_13: Bye, everybody.
- 49:03SPEAKER_13: Bye, Liv Um What was I talking about?
- 49:10SPEAKER_13: I have no idea.
- 49:12SPEAKER_13: Oh, no, the feet the feet in the hot water.
- 49:14SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 49:14SPEAKER_13: And ten or fifteen minutes later, a lot of the the headache pain had gone away.
- 49:21SPEAKER_13: Because what about what that apparently does is it directs the blood from your head to come down to the rest of your to your feet.
- 49:30SPEAKER_13: Okay.
- 49:30SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 49:31SPEAKER_13: So I I never knew that.
- 49:33SPEAKER_13: So my daughter, who you just got done talking to, she suffers from migraines.
- 49:38SPEAKER_13: So I'm gonna tell her next time you get a migraine, soak your feet in hot water.
- 49:42SPEAKER_10: There we go.
- 49:43SPEAKER_13: Should just hold her all in the way.
- 49:44SPEAKER_10: Yeah, I know.
- 49:46SPEAKER_10: I can't I can't think of two things at once.
- 49:48SPEAKER_10: Well, you're already telling the story.
- 49:50SPEAKER_13: I know, but I forgot what story I was telling, obviously.
- 49:52SPEAKER_10: That's true, I forgot too.
- 49:54SPEAKER_13: So anyway.
- 49:56SPEAKER_13: Um Liv is always a good distraction.
- 49:58SPEAKER_13: She is.
- 49:58SPEAKER_13: She is.
- 49:59SPEAKER_13: Uh so let's see.
- 50:02SPEAKER_13: Not much else going on.
- 50:03SPEAKER_13: We have uh Skinny Elvis rehearsal this week.
- 50:06SPEAKER_13: Throwing in a couple of uh a couple of new tunes.
- 50:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because we got the big gig next week.
- 50:11SPEAKER_13: Yeah, we do.
- 50:12SPEAKER_13: That's gonna be a long, long day for us.
- 50:15SPEAKER_13: I gotta I got to thinking about that.
- 50:16SPEAKER_13: Are we we g OJ's doing sound for us, right?
- 50:22SPEAKER_10: I assume.
- 50:23SPEAKER_10: He's gonna be there anyways.
- 50:24SPEAKER_13: Is he going so is he gonna set up early?
- 50:27SPEAKER_13: And we're gonna use the syndicate stuff?
- 50:29SPEAKER_10: I hope so.
- 50:30SPEAKER_10: Might as well.
- 50:31SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 50:32SPEAKER_10: Might as well get our money's worth.
- 50:33SPEAKER_13: Yeah, because we play at 5?
- 50:35SPEAKER_13: 5.30.
- 50:36SPEAKER_10: Yeah, you got me, man.
- 50:36SPEAKER_10: I have no idea.
- 50:37SPEAKER_13: I think we play at 5.
- 50:39SPEAKER_13: I think we play 5 to 7.30.
- 50:42SPEAKER_13: And then syndicate plays 8.
- 50:45SPEAKER_13: Oh, good.
- 50:46SPEAKER_13: So that means that we need to be ready to go sound check at 4.30.
- 50:53SPEAKER_13: So that means yeah, that's an early, that's an early setup for OJ.
- 50:57SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 50:58SPEAKER_13: So um, yeah, so in case you don't know what we're talking about, the main potato blossom festival is next well, it's this coming weekend, starts this coming weekend, but we play next Friday, the the 18th.
- 51:10SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 51:11SPEAKER_13: And our band, Skinny Elvis, is opening for our band Star City Syndicate.
- 51:16SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 51:17SPEAKER_13: So yeah.
- 51:18SPEAKER_10: It's gonna be a big long gig.
- 51:20SPEAKER_10: That's what I'm calling it.
- 51:21SPEAKER_10: Big long gig.
- 51:22SPEAKER_10: I'm big Big Beautiful Bill.
- 51:24SPEAKER_10: Big long gig.
- 51:25SPEAKER_10: Big long gig.
- 51:26SPEAKER_13: Big long gig.
- 51:26SPEAKER_10: I think that's the name of the podcast.
- 51:28SPEAKER_10: Big long gig.
- 51:28SPEAKER_10: Big long gig with Olivia.
- 51:31SPEAKER_13: Big big long gig with Olivia.
- 51:35SPEAKER_13: Um what was I gonna say?
- 51:38SPEAKER_10: I don't know what it is.
- 51:38SPEAKER_10: Holy cow.
- 51:39SPEAKER_10: My goodness.
- 51:40SPEAKER_10: You're still it's the after effects of the migraine.
- 51:43SPEAKER_13: Apparently.
- 51:44SPEAKER_10: Um memory.
- 51:46SPEAKER_13: You know.
- 51:46SPEAKER_13: Oh.
- 51:48SPEAKER_13: So uh Skinny Elvis has only had like really one or two gigs.
- 51:55SPEAKER_13: And the first one that we had at the fair, I think a lot of people showed up because they thought we were going to be playing.
- 52:00SPEAKER_10: Well, they thought it was gonna be a syndicate.
- 52:02SPEAKER_13: Elvis songs.
- 52:03SPEAKER_13: Yeah, well, that's right.
- 52:03SPEAKER_13: The syndicate, because they said it's members of the Star City Syndicate, so I thought we were gonna play Syndicate songs.
- 52:08SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 52:08SPEAKER_13: But something they were sorely disposed to.
- 52:10SPEAKER_13: Something tells me that our gig at the Potato Blossom Festival, people are gonna think that we're playing like oldies.
- 52:19SPEAKER_10: I told you that story about us and governors a few weeks ago.
- 52:23SPEAKER_10: Where there was a pla people at a table across from us and they were talking about it.
- 52:28SPEAKER_10: Skinny Elvis, Skinny Elvis, and the girl just shrugged her head, just shrugged her shoulders, and I'm like, Yeah, you wait.
- 52:36SPEAKER_10: You wait.
- 52:37SPEAKER_10: I hope I see her.
- 52:38SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 52:39SPEAKER_10: And they'll be like, hey, remember me.
- 52:42SPEAKER_10: You you had you had the lobster, I remember.
- 52:45SPEAKER_10: No.
- 52:46SPEAKER_13: Well, we'll see how it goes.
- 52:48SPEAKER_10: It'll be interesting.
- 52:49SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 52:50SPEAKER_13: It's it's a definitely a different kind of music that people are than people are used to.
- 52:55SPEAKER_13: Um with the syndicate.
- 52:56SPEAKER_10: Well, especially for the crowd that's gonna show up like two hours early for a syndicate.
- 53:00SPEAKER_13: For the syndicate.
- 53:00SPEAKER_13: That's what I'm saying.
- 53:01SPEAKER_13: You know, they're gonna be like, who why are these guys from the syndicate playing this kind of thing?
- 53:06SPEAKER_10: What are they playing?
- 53:07SPEAKER_10: They're not playing syndicate songs.
- 53:08SPEAKER_10: Yeah, well, because we're not the syndicate! Well, that's why I want to Skinny Elvis!
- 53:12SPEAKER_13: That's what I wonder how it's gonna go over.
- 53:14SPEAKER_10: I don't care.
- 53:15SPEAKER_13: Should we have a sign?
- 53:16SPEAKER_13: It's gonna be fun.
- 53:16SPEAKER_13: Should we have a sign that says Skinny Elvis?
- 53:18SPEAKER_13: No.
- 53:19SPEAKER_10: We're not that important.
- 53:21SPEAKER_10: We don't we don't we don't rate a sign yet.
- 53:24SPEAKER_13: We don't rate a sign?
- 53:25SPEAKER_10: No.
- 53:26SPEAKER_10: Well, we haven't, you know, we haven't we've only had what?
- 53:29SPEAKER_10: One actual gig that we got paid for.
- 53:32SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 53:32SPEAKER_10: We've we've played three or four times, but mostly in schools.
- 53:36SPEAKER_10: Right.
- 53:36SPEAKER_10: Which is, you know, a little weird, but fun.
- 53:40SPEAKER_10: You know?
- 53:40SPEAKER_13: It is.
- 53:41SPEAKER_10: So you know it's just yeah, we're not a real band yet.
- 53:45SPEAKER_13: Right.
- 53:46SPEAKER_10: We're just we're a play band.
- 53:47SPEAKER_13: You and I have a gig this Friday.
- 53:49SPEAKER_10: Oh yeah, that's right.
- 53:51SPEAKER_13: We've never played there before.
- 53:52SPEAKER_13: Nope, never played there before.
- 53:53SPEAKER_13: So that's what I like.
- 53:55SPEAKER_13: I like trying to win when win it over.
- 53:57SPEAKER_13: Hopefully it doesn't rain because we're supposed to.
- 53:59SPEAKER_13: It's supposed to rain.
- 53:59SPEAKER_13: Is it?
- 54:00SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 54:00SPEAKER_10: And we're out on the patio.
- 54:01SPEAKER_13: We're supposed to be on the patio, but I I do I did see some people were inside.
- 54:05SPEAKER_13: They had other performers there.
- 54:06SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 54:07SPEAKER_13: And they were inside.
- 54:07SPEAKER_13: Okay.
- 54:08SPEAKER_10: So hopefully we're only playing what, a couple hours now?
- 54:10SPEAKER_13: A couple hours.
- 54:11SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 54:11SPEAKER_13: So yeah, so we'll be all right.
- 54:12SPEAKER_10: We'll be fine.
- 54:13SPEAKER_00: Uh all right.
- 54:15SPEAKER_00: Oh wow.
- 54:18SPEAKER_00: You know what that means.
- 54:19SPEAKER_00: What's it mean?
- 54:20SPEAKER_00: It means it's big guy! I gotta find stuff.
- 54:32SPEAKER_10: I gotta find messages.
- 54:34SPEAKER_13: So starting with the zip up.
- 54:40SPEAKER_00: Zeba.
- 54:44SPEAKER_10: Alrighty, here we go.
- 54:48SPEAKER_10: Damn! Okay, there it is.
- 54:53SPEAKER_10: So this is what our lovely in talented judge said.
- 54:56SPEAKER_10: Uh this week's picks were really cool, but the one that really stuck out for me was the love of money.
- 55:02SPEAKER_10: The music and the tone just gave the sense of a sharply dressed man dancing down the street to go get his check.
- 55:08SPEAKER_13: So that was mine, right?
- 55:09SPEAKER_13: That was yours.
- 55:09SPEAKER_13: That's it.
- 55:10SPEAKER_13: Um was that in that was in a movie.
- 55:13SPEAKER_13: They used that in a movie.
- 55:14SPEAKER_13: What?
- 55:15SPEAKER_13: For the love of money.
- 55:16SPEAKER_12: For the love of money.
- 55:18SPEAKER_13: Was it Wolf of Wall Street?
- 55:20SPEAKER_13: No.
- 55:21SPEAKER_10: No.
- 55:24unknown: I don't remember.
- 55:24SPEAKER_10: I don't remember either.
- 55:25SPEAKER_10: Wasn't it the theme song of The Apprentice when that was on?
- 55:29SPEAKER_10: Maybe.
- 55:30SPEAKER_13: Yeah, could be.
- 55:31SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 55:32SPEAKER_13: Could be.
- 55:32SPEAKER_13: Anyway.
- 55:34SPEAKER_13: Uh alright, so that was passed.
- 55:36SPEAKER_13: Correct.
- 55:36SPEAKER_10: Present is Present is uh what was the question this week?
- 55:40SPEAKER_10: Something about something about a guitar solo.
- 55:43SPEAKER_10: Uh no one knows you play the guitar, but oh do you ever?
- 55:46SPEAKER_10: What screaming guitar solo do you play at the talent show to melt the faces off your peers?
- 55:50SPEAKER_10: To steal the win and be carried off the stage in victory.
- 55:54SPEAKER_10: Nice.
- 55:55SPEAKER_10: This'll be interesting.
- 55:56SPEAKER_10: So, cousin Larry.
- 55:58SPEAKER_10: Says.
- 55:58SPEAKER_10: Says.
- 56:00SPEAKER_10: Cousin Larry.
- 56:01SPEAKER_10: We should make that a segment.
- 56:02SPEAKER_10: Cousin Larry says.
- 56:03SPEAKER_10: Cousin Larry says uh this might be the hardest mixtape question yet.
- 56:07SPEAKER_10: Eruption definitely came to mind, as you both mentioned, and I love Chuck Berry's Johnny Be Good.
- 56:12SPEAKER_10: But the question says screaming guitar solo to melt your peers' faces off.
- 56:16SPEAKER_10: So I was thinking something either hard rock or metal.
- 56:19SPEAKER_10: So I thought about Guns N' Roses' Sweet Child of Mine and Rush's Working Man, among many others.
- 56:24SPEAKER_10: But if I want to melt faces, I'm thinking Pantera and Dimebag Daryl.
- 56:29SPEAKER_10: My choice is Pantera's Cowboys from Hell, with honorable mention to one of my favorites, Van Halen tunes, Mean Streets.
- 56:36SPEAKER_10: Oh.
- 56:36SPEAKER_10: Yeah, he's got good taste.
- 56:38SPEAKER_10: He's always got great taste, man.
- 56:40SPEAKER_10: It's a good thing this is not a real game because we would lose every friggin' dog.
- 56:44SPEAKER_13: Oh yeah, for sure.
- 56:46SPEAKER_13: For sure.
- 56:48SPEAKER_10: Oh shoot.
- 56:54SPEAKER_13: So this should I get to the solo?
- 56:57SPEAKER_10: No, that's what it is.
- 56:57SPEAKER_10: It's about the solo, right?
- 56:59SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 57:02SPEAKER_13: I don't know the song, so.
- 57:06SPEAKER_13: I'm assuming hold on.
- 58:01SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 58:01SPEAKER_13: I would say Damn it.
- 58:02SPEAKER_10: I almost went with Pantera too.
- 58:04SPEAKER_10: I was going to go with Domination.
- 58:05SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 58:06SPEAKER_10: But uh I didn't.
- 58:06SPEAKER_13: What'd you go with?
- 58:07SPEAKER_10: I went with uh Extreme.
- 58:09SPEAKER_10: Play With Me.
- 58:09SPEAKER_10: Oh, you jerk.
- 58:11SPEAKER_10: That was yours?
- 58:12SPEAKER_10: That's what I spelled.
- 58:16SPEAKER_13: That's okay.
- 58:17SPEAKER_13: I have a backup.
- 58:18SPEAKER_13: Okay.
- 58:18SPEAKER_13: I have a backup.
- 58:19SPEAKER_13: Alright, so let's You jerk.
- 58:22SPEAKER_10: Well, you know it was bound to happen that we were gonna pick the same song.
- 58:25SPEAKER_10: Oh yeah.
- 58:26SPEAKER_10: So.
- 58:26SPEAKER_13: Uh wait, are you talking are you talking the beginning part?
- 58:30SPEAKER_13: Like the The whole thing, man.
- 58:32SPEAKER_10: The whole thing is basically one big soul.
- 58:33SPEAKER_13: Well, doesn't it go uh There's a big song?
- 58:36SPEAKER_13: Yeah, but wait, wait, wait.
- 58:37SPEAKER_13: At the end of Rocka Bye Bye, isn't it?
- 58:40SPEAKER_10: Well, that's the flight of the wounded bumblebee.
- 58:42SPEAKER_13: Nope, that's that's oh no.
- 58:46SPEAKER_13: I guess I'm wrong.
- 58:47SPEAKER_13: Let's just play it.
- 58:54SPEAKER_13: Let's get to the solo.
- 58:56SPEAKER_13: The solo, I mean, this was my number one, so I'm oh yeah, I'm gonna I've got but I do have a backup.
- 59:02SPEAKER_13: Hold on.
- 59:02SPEAKER_13: Let's get to it.
- 1:00:20SPEAKER_13: Yeah, I just keep getting on it.
- 1:00:23SPEAKER_13: I told you the whole thing's like a big solo.
- 1:00:24SPEAKER_13: It is.
- 1:00:25SPEAKER_13: So uh okay, so now I told you I had a backup.
- 1:00:28SPEAKER_13: Right.
- 1:00:28SPEAKER_13: And it was Flight of the Wounded Bumblebee.
- 1:00:31SPEAKER_13: But I'm thinking I'm gonna switch it.
- 1:00:32SPEAKER_10: Alright.
- 1:00:33SPEAKER_13: Uh, because that that other guitar part that I thought was the beginning of play with me is not.
- 1:00:40SPEAKER_13: It's the beginning of mother.
- 1:00:41SPEAKER_13: Don't want to go to school.
- 1:00:43SPEAKER_13: Oh, right, yeah.
- 1:00:43SPEAKER_13: So this is so this will be my pick.
- 1:00:48SPEAKER_13: Just the beginning.
- 1:00:50SPEAKER_13: Actually, yeah, no, this is it.
- 1:00:54SPEAKER_13: Cause he said screaming guitar solo, right?
- 1:00:57SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 1:00:58SPEAKER_10: Of course you know the definition.
- 1:01:00SPEAKER_10: Well, there's a baby screaming, so that so it works.
- 1:01:02SPEAKER_13: Yeah, but listen to the beginning of this.
- 1:02:18unknown: Yeah.
- 1:02:18SPEAKER_10: You probably kind of like an o an homage to eruption.
- 1:02:22SPEAKER_13: Oh, yeah.
- 1:02:22SPEAKER_10: I always got that feeling.
- 1:02:23SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:02:24SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:02:24SPEAKER_13: Well.
- 1:02:27SPEAKER_13: This is uh blasphemous.
- 1:02:30SPEAKER_13: Nuno's a better guitar player than Eddie was.
- 1:02:32SPEAKER_10: Oh yeah, he is.
- 1:02:33SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 1:02:33SPEAKER_10: I'm not I'm not a question of that.
- 1:02:35SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:02:35SPEAKER_10: I mean, Eddie's the goat.
- 1:02:37SPEAKER_10: He is.
- 1:02:37SPEAKER_10: He is.
- 1:02:38SPEAKER_10: But Eddie's Eddie.
- 1:02:39SPEAKER_13: There's nobody that's Eddie.
- 1:02:40SPEAKER_10: Yeah, I mean, Eddie will always be the epitome of guitar playing.
- 1:02:42SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 1:02:43SPEAKER_10: But Nuno is.
- 1:02:45SPEAKER_13: Oh yeah.
- 1:02:45SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:02:46SPEAKER_13: Oh yeah, for sure.
- 1:02:47SPEAKER_13: Um can I just.
- 1:02:49SPEAKER_13: So that's my solo.
- 1:02:50SPEAKER_13: Right.
- 1:02:51SPEAKER_13: I just want to see.
- 1:02:51SPEAKER_13: I can't remember the solo in the middle of the song.
- 1:02:54SPEAKER_13: This is Mother, I don't want to go to school together.
- 1:02:56SPEAKER_13: So let me just, I'm gonna.
- 1:03:16SPEAKER_13: Yeah, still great, but uh, it's not as the beginning is so okay.
- 1:03:20SPEAKER_13: So um uh Cowboys from Hell from Pantera for Cousin Larry.
- 1:03:24SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:03:25SPEAKER_13: Uh Play With Me from Extreme for you.
- 1:03:29SPEAKER_13: And the beginning of Mother Don't Want to Go to School Today, also from Extreme.
- 1:03:33SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:03:34SPEAKER_13: Same album.
- 1:03:34SPEAKER_13: Same album.
- 1:03:35SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:03:35SPEAKER_13: Interesting that we picked the same album.
- 1:03:37SPEAKER_13: We both picked the same song.
- 1:03:39SPEAKER_13: I was gonna go with Play With Me.
- 1:03:40SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:03:41SPEAKER_10: Um Yeah, because I I because you had mentioned last week Steve I, and I was like, oh yeah, because I love Steve I.
- 1:03:46SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 1:03:47SPEAKER_10: But then I was like, nah, I mean, if it's a screaming guitar, you know, I remember when at first I first time I ever heard that extreme album, I was like, Oh yeah.
- 1:03:57SPEAKER_10: My mind was blown.
- 1:03:58SPEAKER_13: Oh yeah.
- 1:03:59SPEAKER_10: So, you know, flight of the wounded butterbloom.
- 1:04:01SPEAKER_13: Just for giggles.
- 1:04:02SPEAKER_10: Yeah, this is great.
- 1:04:03SPEAKER_13: And this is not sped up.
- 1:04:04SPEAKER_10: No, that's the thing, man.
- 1:04:06SPEAKER_10: But he still plays this like this.
- 1:04:16SPEAKER_13: This is like a metronome.
- 1:05:35SPEAKER_13: Uh notice how I played that whole solo.
- 1:05:39SPEAKER_13: That's nobody that was nobody's pick.
- 1:05:40SPEAKER_13: That was my backup.
- 1:05:41SPEAKER_13: Um the uh backup.
- 1:05:43SPEAKER_13: But I changed it to to uh mother.
- 1:05:45SPEAKER_13: It's a good backup, dude.
- 1:05:47SPEAKER_13: So there you go.
- 1:05:48SPEAKER_13: That is um um mixtape.
- 1:05:51SPEAKER_00: Mixtape, mixtape for today.
- 1:05:54SPEAKER_00: Everybody loves mixtape.
- 1:05:56SPEAKER_10: Okay, so next week's question.
- 1:05:58SPEAKER_10: Yes, what's next week's?
- 1:06:00SPEAKER_10: Your parents wanted you to be the next great concert pianist.
- 1:06:05SPEAKER_00: He said penis.
- 1:06:06SPEAKER_10: He said pianist.
- 1:06:07SPEAKER_10: Uh but you all you wanted to do was rock and freaking roll.
- 1:06:12SPEAKER_10: What song describes the reason you left Beethoven's music and picked up a Fender Stratocaster?
- 1:06:19SPEAKER_10: Ooh, yeah.
- 1:06:21SPEAKER_10: That was gonna be a fun one.
- 1:06:25SPEAKER_13: Like Okay.
- 1:06:27SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 1:06:28SPEAKER_10: You know what what what uh what song is gonna make you you know turn to the door.
- 1:06:33SPEAKER_13: What song is going to make you, or what song did make you?
- 1:06:36SPEAKER_10: Like like either way, I mean I suppose that's up to you know your uh you know interpretational and Doug will read us a book a story.
- 1:06:55SPEAKER_10: It's like one of those ASMR videos.
- 1:06:58SPEAKER_10: Right.

- 1:08:44SPEAKER_13: Alright, Doug's gonna read your story.
- 1:08:45SPEAKER_13: Alright.
- 1:08:46SPEAKER_13: That's from A Hard Days Right.
- 1:08:47SPEAKER_13: It is from A Hard Days Right.
- 1:08:48SPEAKER_13: Go for it.
- 1:08:49SPEAKER_10: The Help album.
- 1:08:50SPEAKER_10: The night before.
- 1:08:52SPEAKER_10: Not the night before Christmas.
- 1:08:53SPEAKER_10: That's a whole other story.
- 1:08:55SPEAKER_10: Alright.
- 1:08:56SPEAKER_10: As with the Hard Days Night, the songs used in Help owed little to the script.
- 1:09:01SPEAKER_10: Quote, I think all the songs in Help were written before the screenplay was ever completed.
- 1:09:06SPEAKER_10: Unquote.
- 1:09:07SPEAKER_10: Confirms Dick Lester.
- 1:09:09SPEAKER_10: I was given a demo tape about with about nine songs, and I chose six of them in a rather arbitrary way, thinking that they were ones which I could do something with.
- 1:09:19SPEAKER_10: It was as casual as that, and I fitted the songs into the film in places where I thought I could do something with them.
- 1:09:27SPEAKER_10: Composed as a song of regret over a love lost, Paul was filmed singing the night before while surrounded by troops and tanks on Salisbury Plain.
- 1:09:38SPEAKER_10: The track was recorded in February 1965 and filmed three months later.
- 1:09:49SPEAKER_10: I love the song.
- 1:10:14SPEAKER_13: Update on what?
- 1:10:15SPEAKER_13: Um Do you know a Kaylee and Autumn Boyd?
- 1:10:20SPEAKER_10: I know Autumn Boyd.
- 1:10:22SPEAKER_10: I think I think that's Billy's wife.
- 1:10:24SPEAKER_13: Is it?
- 1:10:25SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:10:25SPEAKER_13: Okay, well, they found your mother's iPad.
- 1:10:28SPEAKER_13: Along the side of the road, not too far from your home.
- 1:10:31SPEAKER_13: Okay, she says, I'm so grateful for the caring people in my community.
- 1:10:36SPEAKER_13: God bless them.
- 1:10:37SPEAKER_13: So that's good.
- 1:10:37SPEAKER_10: Well, I'm glad she got it back.
- 1:10:38SPEAKER_10: Did she get it back or did they just find it?
- 1:10:40SPEAKER_13: I don't know.
- 1:10:41SPEAKER_13: Okay.
- 1:10:42SPEAKER_13: I'm assuming she got it back.
- 1:10:44SPEAKER_10: She's kind of she's worse than a kid with a phone.
- 1:10:46SPEAKER_10: With that thing.
- 1:10:48SPEAKER_10: She's gonna just leave it at home.
- 1:10:50SPEAKER_10: That's where you need it.
- 1:10:51SPEAKER_10: Leave it at home, mom! I wonder if you could buy like a leash for it.
- 1:11:00SPEAKER_10: So I could like attach it to her iPad.
- 1:11:02SPEAKER_10: Yeah, an air tag.
- 1:11:03SPEAKER_10: And then and then put it on her wrist.
- 1:11:04SPEAKER_10: So she's get an air tag.
- 1:11:11SPEAKER_10: That's way advanced.
- 1:11:12SPEAKER_13: Really?
- 1:11:13SPEAKER_13: For her?
- 1:11:13SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 1:11:13SPEAKER_10: For either of them.
- 1:11:15SPEAKER_10: This is this is what I'm I suppose that's true.
- 1:11:17SPEAKER_10: Yeah, you know what I mean?
- 1:11:18SPEAKER_10: Get them an air tag, too.
- 1:11:20SPEAKER_10: I suggested when it first happened, use the find my phone.
- 1:11:24SPEAKER_10: Right, yeah, yeah.
- 1:11:25SPEAKER_10: She had no clue what I was talking about.
- 1:11:27SPEAKER_10: So I was like, well, I don't know.
- 1:11:29SPEAKER_10: I don't I don't know how to do that.
- 1:11:30SPEAKER_13: Yeah, no, it's a generational thing, that's for sure.
- 1:11:32SPEAKER_13: That's for sure.
- 1:11:33SPEAKER_13: But I'm glad she found it.
- 1:11:34SPEAKER_13: That's good.
- 1:11:35SPEAKER_10: All right.
- 1:11:35SPEAKER_10: I That's good news.
- 1:11:37SPEAKER_13: I have an album.
- 1:11:39SPEAKER_10: I have I have nothing.
- 1:11:42SPEAKER_13: Oh, I have to do the magic words, I'm sorry.
- 1:11:44SPEAKER_13: Let the guessing begin.
- 1:11:47SPEAKER_08: And it's all your fault.
- 1:11:49SPEAKER_13: I have nothing.
- 1:11:50SPEAKER_08: Nothing.
- 1:11:51unknown: Nothing.
- 1:11:52SPEAKER_13: Whitney Houston.
- 1:11:54SPEAKER_13: I don't know.
- 1:11:54SPEAKER_13: Whitney Houston.
- 1:11:56SPEAKER_10: Witt.
- 1:11:57SPEAKER_10: As I used to call her back in the day.
- 1:12:01SPEAKER_10: Back when we were hanging out.
- 1:12:02SPEAKER_10: When you were besties?
- 1:12:03SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 1:12:03SPEAKER_10: When we were besties.
- 1:12:04SPEAKER_01: She was your bae.
- 1:12:07SPEAKER_10: Imagine.
- 1:12:10SPEAKER_10: Hey Doug, where are you?
- 1:12:11SPEAKER_10: Oh, I'm hanging out with Whitney Houston, man.
- 1:12:14SPEAKER_10: We're playing Mario.
- 1:12:21SPEAKER_10: Kicking her butt.
- 1:12:24SPEAKER_13: Shouldn't we shouldn't we name the podcast that?
- 1:12:25SPEAKER_13: Playing Mario with Whitney Houston?
- 1:12:27SPEAKER_10: Dude, that's the best name ever! Yes! We're totally naming at that.
- 1:12:32SPEAKER_10: I don't remember what the other name was.
- 1:12:33SPEAKER_10: I don't know.
- 1:12:33SPEAKER_10: Someone with Olivia.
- 1:12:36SPEAKER_10: I can't remember.
- 1:12:37SPEAKER_13: I can't remember.
- 1:12:38SPEAKER_13: Play Mario with Whitney Houston.
- 1:12:40SPEAKER_10: Mario with Whitney Houston.
- 1:12:41SPEAKER_13: Mario with Whitney Houston.
- 1:12:42SPEAKER_13: There we go.
- 1:12:43SPEAKER_13: There you go.
- 1:12:43SPEAKER_10: There we go.
- 1:12:44SPEAKER_10: Let's not forget that.
- 1:12:45SPEAKER_10: Oh we will.
- 1:12:45SPEAKER_10: We will.
- 1:12:46SPEAKER_10: Um let the guessing begin.
- 1:12:48SPEAKER_10: Thank you.
- 1:12:49SPEAKER_10: Uh is it a band?
- 1:12:50SPEAKER_10: Yes.
- 1:12:50SPEAKER_10: Okay.
- 1:12:51SPEAKER_10: Easy.
- 1:12:52SPEAKER_10: Well, I'm done.
- 1:12:54SPEAKER_10: What is it?
- 1:12:55SPEAKER_10: Tell me.
- 1:12:56SPEAKER_13: No.
- 1:12:57SPEAKER_10: Tell me.
- 1:12:57SPEAKER_10: No.
- 1:12:58SPEAKER_10: Tell me.
- 1:12:58SPEAKER_10: No.
- 1:12:59SPEAKER_13: We've done this band before.
- 1:13:00SPEAKER_10: We've done a lot of bands before.
- 1:13:03SPEAKER_13: Make it easier.
- 1:13:04SPEAKER_13: One of my favorite bands.
- 1:13:05SPEAKER_13: One of my favorite bands.
- 1:14:43SPEAKER_12: I can't believe it's thinking of this.
- 1:14:47SPEAKER_10: We covered a lot of grammar.
- 1:14:59SPEAKER_10: Brian Adams?
- 1:15:00SPEAKER_10: No.
- 1:15:03SPEAKER_10: Brian Adams Band.
- 1:15:08SPEAKER_13: One of the greatest vocalists ever.
- 1:15:13SPEAKER_10: Ever?
- 1:15:13SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:15:14SPEAKER_13: Journey?
- 1:15:14SPEAKER_13: Yes.
- 1:15:17SPEAKER_12: That took a long time.
- 1:15:18SPEAKER_12: Yeah, that took way longer than it should have been.
- 1:15:21SPEAKER_13: Okay.
- 1:15:22SPEAKER_10: We just did journey not too long ago.
- 1:15:24SPEAKER_13: Really?
- 1:15:24SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:15:25SPEAKER_13: I don't think we did this album, but maybe we did.
- 1:15:27SPEAKER_13: Frontiers?
- 1:15:30SPEAKER_10: I don't remember.
- 1:15:31SPEAKER_10: I don't remember what we did.
- 1:15:32SPEAKER_13: Frontiers had the big one.
- 1:15:35SPEAKER_13: Um this one.
- 1:15:38SPEAKER_10: Oh yeah.
- 1:15:39SPEAKER_13: Right?
- 1:15:40SPEAKER_10: Worst video ever.
- 1:15:41SPEAKER_13: Yes.
- 1:15:43SPEAKER_13: Or one of the worst.
- 1:15:44SPEAKER_13: One of the funniest videos ever.
- 1:15:45SPEAKER_08: It is funny though.
- 1:15:47SPEAKER_13: So this is separate ways, world apart.
- 1:15:49SPEAKER_13: Great way to start an album, though.
- 1:15:51SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:15:53SPEAKER_13: What was this?
- 1:15:54SPEAKER_13: 80.
- 1:15:59SPEAKER_13: That's what I thought.
- 1:16:00SPEAKER_13: 83.
- 1:16:01SPEAKER_10: I was gonna say 84, but yeah.
- 1:16:03SPEAKER_13: Yeah, 83.
- 1:16:04SPEAKER_13: Okay, and then of course you have.
- 1:16:08SPEAKER_10: Ah yeah.
- 1:16:08SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:16:09SPEAKER_13: Faithfully.
- 1:16:11SPEAKER_00: It's time to dance.
- 1:16:13SPEAKER_10: You know, just that awkward, that awkward junior high slow dancing.
- 1:16:19SPEAKER_13: Right.
- 1:16:20SPEAKER_13: Leave room for Jesus, kids.
- 1:16:22SPEAKER_13: So oh, and then they had um, which for some silly reason I don't have uh from the album in here.
- 1:16:32SPEAKER_13: But I'm gonna play you a couple songs that are on this album, but the only versions I have are live versions.
- 1:16:41SPEAKER_13: Maybe I am.
- 1:16:42SPEAKER_10: This is only the third time we've done Journey.
- 1:16:44SPEAKER_13: Really?
- 1:16:44SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:16:46SPEAKER_13: Um this one.
- 1:16:49SPEAKER_13: Great song.
- 1:16:50SPEAKER_13: Oh yeah, this is a good one.
- 1:16:50SPEAKER_13: Send her my love.
- 1:16:51SPEAKER_10: Yep, I like this one.
- 1:17:21SPEAKER_13: Okay, so that was a single.
- 1:17:23SPEAKER_13: I'm I'm just playing the singles that everybody knows from this album first.
- 1:17:27SPEAKER_13: Uh Separate Ways, Center My Love.
- 1:17:29SPEAKER_10: What's with this dude with the square body Chevy?
- 1:17:32SPEAKER_13: Faithfully.
- 1:17:33SPEAKER_13: And then this one, this one.
- 1:17:35SPEAKER_00: Is that part of the video?
- 1:17:36SPEAKER_13: This one was a single, and actually I thought this was a kind of an underrated.
- 1:17:42SPEAKER_13: It was really loud, sorry.
- 1:17:46SPEAKER_13: You remember this song?
- 1:17:47SPEAKER_10: Vaguely?
- 1:17:49SPEAKER_10: Because I have the I have this album on vinyl.
- 1:17:51SPEAKER_10: Do you?
- 1:17:52SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 1:17:52SPEAKER_13: I do too.
- 1:18:44SPEAKER_13: After the fall is the name of that one.
- 1:18:46SPEAKER_13: Um great song.
- 1:18:48SPEAKER_13: Uh they're the harmonies.
- 1:18:50SPEAKER_13: I mean, you know, when you got Steve Perry.
- 1:18:52SPEAKER_10: Yeah, no, you know, no, no offense to him now, but they they should have stopped when Steve Perry left.
- 1:18:58SPEAKER_13: You think so?
- 1:18:59SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:18:59SPEAKER_10: Because, I mean, you know, they're still great.
- 1:19:02SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:19:03SPEAKER_10: They're still great, but they'll never reach this success again.
- 1:19:06SPEAKER_13: Yeah, I don't think so.
- 1:19:08SPEAKER_10: If you want me to be honest, I mean they're not.
- 1:19:10SPEAKER_13: No, I think you're right.
- 1:19:11SPEAKER_13: So and I don't I think um they may be one of those bands that needs a back to the beginning concert.
- 1:19:19SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:19:20SPEAKER_13: Steve Perry, yeah.
- 1:19:22SPEAKER_13: Dude, that would be sick.
- 1:19:23SPEAKER_13: And uh what's it, Greg Raleigh, who is the one of the other original keyboard player and singer singers.
- 1:19:28SPEAKER_13: Uh that would be that would be a sick show.
- 1:19:30SPEAKER_13: That would be awesome.
- 1:19:31SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:19:32SPEAKER_13: Uh this one is one of my favorites off this album.
- 1:19:36SPEAKER_13: This is Edge of the Blade.
- 1:20:17SPEAKER_13: I want you to hear the chorus of this one.
- 1:20:19SPEAKER_13: Do you know the song?
- 1:20:20SPEAKER_10: I they well, like I said, I got the I got the vinyl, so I know I burn it, but I don't I don't know what it's like.
- 1:20:26SPEAKER_13: Steve Perry's voice in the chorus of this just sore.
- 1:21:19SPEAKER_13: I just that that chorus, he's just that um and then of course they have a ballad called Troubled Child, which is really nice.
- 1:21:27SPEAKER_13: Uh I'm not gonna I'm not gonna play all of that.
- 1:21:29SPEAKER_13: There's one here, I don't know if it's Frontiers or if it's Rubicon.
- 1:21:33SPEAKER_13: The the I always wanted to try and figure out the time signature.
- 1:21:37SPEAKER_13: Um, because it's a little off.
- 1:21:38SPEAKER_13: Let me see if it's Frontiers.
- 1:21:46SPEAKER_12: Yeah, I think that sounds good.
- 1:21:48SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 1:22:26SPEAKER_10: I think it it is, but he's just I think it's it's it it's very sticky-fased.
- 1:22:30SPEAKER_13: Yeah, he's throwing stuff in there.
- 1:22:32SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 1:22:36SPEAKER_10: Very, very underrated.
- 1:22:48SPEAKER_10: I don't think it switched up that I did.
- 1:22:51SPEAKER_10: I don't know what he's playing now.
- 1:23:06SPEAKER_13: Yeah, I don't I don't know what that's all over the place.
- 1:23:09SPEAKER_10: But it was not gonna be a rush song.
- 1:23:11SPEAKER_13: Right.
- 1:23:11SPEAKER_13: Uh one more.
- 1:23:12SPEAKER_13: This one doesn't get the love it deserves.
- 1:23:14SPEAKER_13: This is Rubicon.
- 1:24:17SPEAKER_13: Always have this big chorus, big melodic chorus.
- 1:24:20SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:24:20SPEAKER_13: I love that.
- 1:24:22SPEAKER_10: Well, they're kind of famous for that.
- 1:24:23SPEAKER_13: Yeah, oh yeah.
- 1:24:27SPEAKER_13: So obviously, Neil Sean, one of my favorite uh guitar players, and uh you see that I was kind of digging around on my pedal board today.
- 1:24:38SPEAKER_13: Yeah, it's kind of a mess.
- 1:24:39SPEAKER_13: I had all of my pedals except for the ones on the shelf that are up on the top of the shelf.
- 1:24:45SPEAKER_13: Oh yeah.
- 1:24:45SPEAKER_13: I had all of the pedals hooked up and I played through my amp.
- 1:24:51SPEAKER_13: And I think it was a little too much juice, because it would come in and actually.
- 1:24:56SPEAKER_10: Well I was gonna say, did the did they have to go to auxiliary power?
- 1:25:01SPEAKER_13: Well, that i it kind of did.
- 1:25:02SPEAKER_13: I mean, I was playing along and then the the the power just kind of went, you know.
- 1:25:07SPEAKER_10: I have a couple different sources of power, but anyway, I'm looking at it and I'm Do the lights flicker like a like a prison movie when they're electrocuting somebody?
- 1:25:15SPEAKER_10: No.
- 1:25:16SPEAKER_13: But you see the little pedal board that I use for the syndicate.
- 1:25:19SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:25:20SPEAKER_13: So I had the I had the two M5s uh on the end over there, and I I said, I'm looking at it, and they're all hooked up.
- 1:25:30SPEAKER_13: And I have every sound that I really want is all right there.
- 1:25:36SPEAKER_13: And I'm thinking, why?
- 1:25:41SPEAKER_13: So what am I doing with my life?
- 1:25:43SPEAKER_13: So I reduced it down to uh my two M5s, which can give me any voice uh I want.
- 1:25:51SPEAKER_10: There's a little circular blue one there.
- 1:25:53SPEAKER_13: Oh that's uh that's a um uh fuzz face.
- 1:25:55SPEAKER_13: Oh, it's a fuzz face.
- 1:25:56SPEAKER_13: It's a fuzz face, yeah.
- 1:25:57SPEAKER_13: Um so I've got the two M5s, and then I'm gonna put I've got a rat pedal there, but I'm not gonna use it.
- 1:26:03SPEAKER_13: I think I'm gonna use my my green nobles pedal for an overdrive.
- 1:26:08SPEAKER_13: And I've got a compressor, and I'm gonna use the tuners on the M5, so I don't need a tuner on there.
- 1:26:13SPEAKER_13: And that's gonna be my rig for I think for Skinny Elvis and for Star City Syndicate.
- 1:26:18SPEAKER_10: I think until next time.
- 1:26:21SPEAKER_13: Yeah, until until I change it again.
- 1:26:24SPEAKER_10: Why am I gonna use this one?
- 1:26:25SPEAKER_10: Well, I mean it's nice to have that kind of uh that choice.
- 1:26:28SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 1:26:29SPEAKER_10: You know what I mean?
- 1:26:29SPEAKER_10: You can choose different, you know, different combinations.
- 1:26:33SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:26:33SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:26:34SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:26:34SPEAKER_13: You know, yeah.
- 1:26:35SPEAKER_13: Ideally I'd like another one.
- 1:26:38SPEAKER_13: Another another little one.
- 1:26:40SPEAKER_13: Like this.
- 1:26:41SPEAKER_13: So I canal or another pedal board?
- 1:26:43SPEAKER_13: L the little tiny pedal board.
- 1:26:45SPEAKER_13: Oh, okay.
- 1:26:45SPEAKER_13: Uh uh so that I can I can put an M5 on here and then maybe.
- 1:26:49SPEAKER_10: Oh, I mean, that should be your that should be your thing, man.
- 1:26:51SPEAKER_10: Just little pedal boards set up to what you want.
- 1:26:53SPEAKER_10: So you can just grab that and go.
- 1:26:55SPEAKER_10: And go.
- 1:26:55SPEAKER_10: Right.
- 1:26:56SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 1:26:56SPEAKER_13: That's that's what this is.
- 1:26:57SPEAKER_10: Ideally, you know.
- 1:26:58SPEAKER_13: Yeah, so and I was talking to Randy down at KMH, and he's like, uh, he showed me a new pedal that he bought, JHS pedals, which is a relatively uh popular pedal brand.
- 1:27:09SPEAKER_13: And uh nobody in Maine carries them.
- 1:27:12SPEAKER_13: So their KMH is talking about carrying them.
- 1:27:14SPEAKER_13: I'm like, don't do that.
- 1:27:15SPEAKER_13: I'm I'm gonna spend all kinds of money.
- 1:27:16SPEAKER_13: You're never gonna get paid with the Synegan every year.
- 1:27:19SPEAKER_13: And so Chris, take all my money.
- 1:27:22SPEAKER_13: So he made a good point.
- 1:27:23SPEAKER_13: He's like, I'm trying to, you know, I'm trying to Hey Myra! She's trying to stay correct.
- 1:27:33SPEAKER_13: Um trying to take up as a little ri real estate as possible.
- 1:27:36SPEAKER_13: Oh yeah.
- 1:27:37SPEAKER_13: So Randy's like, if I I've got all the pedals I need, if I need a different one, one of those has to go.
- 1:27:43SPEAKER_13: Oh yeah.
- 1:27:43SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:27:44SPEAKER_13: So I get it.
- 1:27:45SPEAKER_13: Anyway.
- 1:27:45SPEAKER_13: I don't know what brought that on.
- 1:27:46SPEAKER_13: Maybe we're listening to Neil Sean, that's why.
- 1:27:50SPEAKER_13: Uh but I bet he's got a lot of fun.
- 1:27:51SPEAKER_13: But I got some pretty cool sounds from it.
- 1:27:53SPEAKER_13: Oh, I'm sure, yeah.
- 1:27:54SPEAKER_13: From that.
- 1:27:55SPEAKER_13: Anyway.
- 1:27:55SPEAKER_10: I mean you have definitely uh a world of possibilities.
- 1:27:59SPEAKER_13: Yes, this is true.
- 1:28:01SPEAKER_13: Uh what are we calling this again?
- 1:28:02SPEAKER_10: Oh yeah.
- 1:28:03SPEAKER_10: Mario.
- 1:28:03SPEAKER_13: Playing Mario with Whitney Houston.
- 1:28:06SPEAKER_13: There we go.
- 1:28:06SPEAKER_10: Everybody's gonna be like, these guys are so freaking weird.
- 1:28:09SPEAKER_13: That's episode 250.
- 1:28:10SPEAKER_10: They don't even know Whitney Houston.
- 1:28:12SPEAKER_10: Hey, isn't a week Whitney Houston dead?
- 1:28:15SPEAKER_10: How are they Oh, maybe they got a Wii board in her play with her that way.
- 1:28:20unknown: That'd be weird.
- 1:28:22SPEAKER_13: Um Devil's board.
- 1:28:27SPEAKER_10: Is my daughter still down here?
- 1:28:28SPEAKER_10: Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:28:29SPEAKER_10: I haven't seen her go back.
- 1:28:30SPEAKER_10: I think she's jobing, she's waiting for us to find out.
- 1:28:34SPEAKER_10: I don't know what she's done.
- 1:28:35SPEAKER_10: Looks like there's a big spider in your chimney though.
- 1:28:38SPEAKER_12: Probably.
- 1:28:39SPEAKER_10: I don't think it is, though.
- 1:28:40SPEAKER_10: Because I think it was there last week.
- 1:28:41SPEAKER_10: Unless it's a really it's a sloth spider.
- 1:28:46SPEAKER_10: Is there such a thing?
- 1:28:47SPEAKER_10: I don't know.
- 1:28:48SPEAKER_10: It just hasn't moved.
- 1:28:50SPEAKER_10: Just I'm hanging out here.
- 1:28:51SPEAKER_10: I'm a spider.
- 1:28:53SPEAKER_13: It's probably one that we killed and just left.
- 1:28:54SPEAKER_13: Yeah, but maybe it kind of looks like it from here.
- 1:28:56SPEAKER_10: I don't know.
- 1:28:57SPEAKER_13: Alright, uh, until next time.
- 1:28:59SPEAKER_09: Uh O'Brien.
