  Joseph went from being a prisoner in Egypt to

  the second most powerful person in the land,

  all because God helped him understand Pharaoh's

  dreams. Joseph wisely stored food during the

  years of plenty. And now Egypt was the only place

  with food during a great famine. But this story

  isn't finished yet. Far away, in the land of
• 0:35
  Canaan, Joseph's brothers were running out of
• 0:38
  food. They didn't know that their younger brother,
• 0:42
  the one they had sold so long ago, was now in
• 0:47
  charge of Egypt's grain. What happens when they
• 0:51
  meet again? Let's find out. The famine had spread

  far and wide, and Joseph's family back in Canaan

  was struggling. Jacob, Joseph's father, heard
• 1:16
  that Egypt still had food. So, he sent ten of
• 1:20
  his sons on a long journey to buy grain. Only
• 1:24
  Benjamin, the youngest, stayed behind. When the
• 1:29
  brothers arrived in Egypt, they bowed before
• 1:32
  the governor of the land, not knowing it was
• 1:35
  Joseph. Joseph recognized them right away, even
• 1:40
  though they didn't recognize him. He remembered
• 1:43
  the dreams he had as a boy, dreams that had once
• 1:47
  made his brothers angry. Now those dreams were
• 1:51
  coming true. Joseph decided to test them. So
• 1:57
  he spoke sternly, pretending not to know them.

  He accused them of being spies and questioned
• 2:04
  them about their family. The brothers explained
• 2:07
  that they had come from Canaan and had another
• 2:10
  younger brother who had stayed home. Joseph kept
• 2:14
  one brother in Egypt and sent the others back
• 2:17
  with food, on one condition. they had to return
• 2:21
  with their youngest brother, Benjamin. Back in
• 2:26
  Canaan, Jacob was afraid to send Benjamin. But
• 2:30
  when the food ran out again, he had no choice.
• 2:34
  The brothers returned to Egypt with Benjamin,
• 2:37
  worried about what might happen. When Joseph
• 2:41
  saw his youngest brother, his heart was full.
• 2:47
  He cared deeply for Benjamin and could barely
• 2:51
  hide his emotions. Still, he gave one final test.
• 2:55
  He had a special cup placed in Benjamin's bag
• 2:59
  and then sent the brothers away. After they left,
• 3:03
  Joseph's servant went after them and brought
• 3:06
  them back, saying the cup had been stolen. The
• 3:11
  brothers were shocked. They hadn't taken anything.
• 3:16
  but now it looked like Benjamin was in trouble.

  One of the older brothers offered to take Benjamin's
• 3:23
  place, showing Joseph that he was willing to
• 3:26
  protect his brother, no matter what. Their hearts
• 3:30
  had changed from before when they sold Joseph.

  Joseph couldn't hide his feelings any longer.
• 3:37
  He sent everyone else out of the room, and through
• 3:41
  tears, he revealed who he truly was. His brothers
• 3:46
  were speechless, frightened by what he might
• 3:49
  do. But Joseph told them not to be afraid. He
• 3:54
  explained that even though they had hurt him,
• 3:57
  God had used everything for good. Because of
• 4:00
  what happened, Joseph had been placed in Egypt
• 4:04
  and was able to save many lives, including theirs.
• 4:09
  Joseph forgave his brothers. He hugged them and
• 4:13
  promised to care for them during the famine.
• 4:16
  Then he sent them home to bring their father,
• 4:19
  Jacob, to Egypt so their whole family could live
• 4:22
  together again. What an amazing story of forgiveness!

  Joseph had every reason to stay angry, but instead,
• 4:37
  he chose love and mercy. Let's think about a
• 4:41
  few things together. Have you ever had to forgive

  someone who hurt your feelings? How do you think

  Joseph was able to forgive his brothers? What

  can we learn from Joseph about trusting God and

  choosing kindness? Sometimes it's hard to forgive,

  especially when we've been deeply hurt. But Joseph

  shows us that God can heal broken hearts and

  use even the hardest moments for something good.
