- 0:00Speaker 1: I'm here to tell you the three steps I would
- 0:03Speaker 1: take to get recruited to a D one so that
- 0:07Speaker 1: you don't have to be an idiot and waste your
- 0:08Speaker 1: time or money or anything like that like I did.
- 0:22Speaker 1: All right, So today I want to talk about exactly
- 0:26Speaker 1: what I would do if I was a young baseball
- 0:29Speaker 1: player and I wanted to get recruited by a D one. So,
- 0:34Speaker 1: for those of you who don't know my story, I
- 0:37Speaker 1: was a sixteen year old. I was writing, you know,
- 0:40Speaker 1: seven year eight to eighty miles an hour, and I
- 0:43Speaker 1: really wanted to get recruited by D one. And my
- 0:46Speaker 1: dream school was Stanford. I really loved ASU as well.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Previously we had gone to the US for like a
- 0:54Speaker 1: showcase thing and we toured ASU and I was like, damn,
- 0:58Speaker 1: that's so sick. But growing up, I always loved Stanford
- 1:02Speaker 1: and those two were my dream schools pretty much. So
- 1:07Speaker 1: I was sixteen, I was going to seventy eight to
- 1:09Speaker 1: eighty miles an hour, So I had a lot of
- 1:11Speaker 1: work to do, you know, like, you know, getting recruited
- 1:15Speaker 1: through a D one throwings in the low eighties, so
- 1:18Speaker 1: I knew I had a lot of work to do.
- 1:20Speaker 1: I just didn't know what to do. Honestly, I was
- 1:26Speaker 1: living in Australia, Sydney, Australia, and baseball isn't the biggest
- 1:30Speaker 1: sport over there, so training was a little bit difficult.
- 1:34Speaker 1: I didn't really know what to do. I didn't know
- 1:37Speaker 1: what kind of throwing programs I should do, I didn't
- 1:39Speaker 1: know what kind of lifting to do all of that.
- 1:42Speaker 1: But I kind of made a decision that I was like,
- 1:44Speaker 1: all right, like I want to do this. I do
- 1:46Speaker 1: want to gain this VILO so I can get recruited
- 1:49Speaker 1: and go to these powerhouse places. I don't want to
- 1:52Speaker 1: just end my baseball career here, like as a sixteen
- 1:55Speaker 1: year old, I couldn't get recruited. I couldn't get out
- 1:57Speaker 1: of Australia and just going get a normal job, you know,
- 2:01Speaker 1: Like I want to extend my baseball career and go
- 2:05Speaker 1: somewhere with it. And so when I made that decision,
- 2:08Speaker 1: I was like, all right, what exactly do I need
- 2:15Speaker 1: to do to get recruited. And honestly, what really happened
- 2:20Speaker 1: was like from sixteen to eighteen was slow, painful growth.
- 2:26Speaker 1: I made so many mistakes and wasted so much time
- 2:30Speaker 1: on doing just random shit and I was like, so, anyway,
- 2:36Speaker 1: I'm here to tell you the three steps I would
- 2:39Speaker 1: take to get recruited to a D one so that
- 2:42Speaker 1: you don't have to be an idiot and waste your
- 2:44Speaker 1: time or money or anything like that like I did.
- 2:48Speaker 1: So this is the simplified process of how to do this,
- 2:54Speaker 1: and it isn't easy. It's very simple, but it's not
- 2:58Speaker 1: easy at all. Anyway, let's dive into a couple of
- 3:02Speaker 1: my mistakes exactly what I would do instead and how
- 3:08Speaker 1: you can do that too. So let's get into it. So, firstly,
- 3:11Speaker 1: if you want to get recruited to a D one,
- 3:14Speaker 1: you need to be throwing hard, like you need to
- 3:17Speaker 1: be throwing like in the low nineties and like touching.
- 3:20Speaker 1: If you want to be sure that you're gonna go
- 3:22Speaker 1: to a D one to like a powerhouse university, you
- 3:25Speaker 1: could be throwing like touching in the mid nineties. And
- 3:29Speaker 1: so that's pretty hard, you know. So the first thing,
- 3:34Speaker 1: the very first step is to do velocity based training.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Is to do velocity training. And so I had to
- 3:46Speaker 1: go from throwing seventy eight to eighty to ninety ninety
- 3:53Speaker 1: four touching ninety five something in that range. That's a big,
- 3:58Speaker 1: big jump. So what did I do. I took a
- 4:06Speaker 1: lot of time off to focus on velocity training, and
- 4:10Speaker 1: I think one of the biggest mistakes that I see
- 4:12Speaker 1: is that everyone's just playing all the time these days,
- 4:15Speaker 1: Like playing doesn't really get you that much better, Like
- 4:19Speaker 1: it might get you better at playing baseball, but it's
- 4:22Speaker 1: not gonna get you to throw harder, you know. That's
- 4:27Speaker 1: kind of what I realized is like I was pitching
- 4:30Speaker 1: twice a week. On the weekend, I throw eighty to
- 4:33Speaker 1: one hundred pitches because in Australia, like if you're going good,
- 4:37Speaker 1: then you're gonna they're gonna ride you, you know, and
- 4:41Speaker 1: midweek i'd relieve. And so I'm just playing all the time,
- 4:45Speaker 1: and so I didn't really see any progress, to be
- 4:49Speaker 1: honest with you, Like playing doesn't get you throwing hort.
- 4:53Speaker 1: It just yeah, it's gonna get you better at baseball,
- 4:57Speaker 1: but if you're tron seventy eight to eighty miles an hour,
- 4:59Speaker 1: like it doesn't matter anyway. So the first thing was
- 5:05Speaker 1: and this is one of the good things that I did,
- 5:08Speaker 1: and that I recommend a lot of players who were
- 5:12Speaker 1: in my shoes who weren't really that great, who didn't
- 5:14Speaker 1: really throw that hard to do is to take a
- 5:18Speaker 1: significant amount of time off from playing and then you
- 5:22Speaker 1: can allocate that time to velocity development. So that's actually
- 5:28Speaker 1: what I did. I did, honestly close to like a
- 5:32Speaker 1: year off from playing baseball. And so the first I
- 5:36Speaker 1: think six months I was in Siene, Australia. I was
- 5:39Speaker 1: just doing research. All right, what's the best velocity training program? Like,
- 5:44Speaker 1: I was looking at top velocity training, I was looking
- 5:47Speaker 1: at drive line baseball, I was looking at train athletics.
- 5:50Speaker 1: I was looking at every single velocity throwing program out
- 5:54Speaker 1: there in the world, and I was combining them. I
- 5:57Speaker 1: was trying them all, seeing what work, seeing what didn't.
- 6:02Speaker 1: And I don't want to get too much I don't
- 6:05Speaker 1: want to get too off topic here, but looking back,
- 6:09Speaker 1: all those programs would have worked if I had just
- 6:12Speaker 1: stuck to it, because as long as it's like a
- 6:16Speaker 1: decent program or you need is consistency. And so one
- 6:20Speaker 1: of the mistakes that I made was if I didn't
- 6:22Speaker 1: see progress within like two to three weeks, I'm like,
- 6:25Speaker 1: all right, this program interesting in it, I'm gonna go
- 6:29Speaker 1: jump ship and try something else. But in hindsight, I
- 6:33Speaker 1: would have stuck to it. I would have just picked
- 6:35Speaker 1: one program that I really liked and I would have
- 6:37Speaker 1: just stuck to it, because you know, sometimes pitching velocity
- 6:40Speaker 1: is a tough thing, Like you're not gonna see results
- 6:42Speaker 1: for like at least a month most of the time.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Like usually you want to dedicate at least three months
- 6:49Speaker 1: till you see any kind of significant progress. And so yeah,
- 6:55Speaker 1: that was one of my mistakes. But getting right back
- 6:58Speaker 1: onto topic taking time off for velocity development. So what
- 7:07Speaker 1: you want to do is dedicate that to the velocity training.
- 7:10Speaker 1: So my number one recommendation is to get a coach
- 7:15Speaker 1: who knows what they're talking about. It can be one
- 7:17Speaker 1: of from one of the big training programs like drive
- 7:23Speaker 1: Line Base for TRAID Athletics, like all these you know
- 7:26Speaker 1: they're tome, there are a million. Then even I do
- 7:31Speaker 1: that I help guys and create pitching velocity. So pick
- 7:36Speaker 1: any one of these guys because if they have the
- 7:39Speaker 1: experience and they have the results to show for it,
- 7:42Speaker 1: they have the like testimonials and stuff like that, then
- 7:47Speaker 1: the program's probably gonna work. And so you just need
- 7:50Speaker 1: to stick to it for at least three months and
- 7:53Speaker 1: you'll probably see results. And I would definitely do that,
- 7:58Speaker 1: just so that you don't do what I did, which
- 8:00Speaker 1: was do all this research. You have no clue what
- 8:04Speaker 1: you're doing. You're trying everything out, and all that time
- 8:08Speaker 1: you're not making progress because you're not working on the
- 8:11Speaker 1: right things. So I'll definitely get a coach who does
- 8:14Speaker 1: all the programming for you, all the lifting stuff, mobility stuff.
- 8:19Speaker 1: He looks at your mechanics, tells you what you need
- 8:22Speaker 1: to do, so you're always traveling in the right direction.
- 8:30Speaker 1: You know, like, there's no perfect program out there. There's
- 8:34Speaker 1: Like I said, most programs work as long as you
- 8:38Speaker 1: stick to it and you're consistent with it and you
- 8:40Speaker 1: show up every day and you give it your all.
- 8:46Speaker 1: So that is step number one. Get a coach who
- 8:52Speaker 1: knows what they're talking about, take some time off to
- 8:55Speaker 1: dedicate to velocity based training, and just do what the
- 9:00Speaker 1: coach seits. I know that's kind of like three steps,
- 9:03Speaker 1: but that's step one. Now you might be thinking, like, dude,
- 9:07Speaker 1: like I know I need a game villa, but Villa
- 9:10Speaker 1: is and everything. Yes, that's very true, but it is
- 9:15Speaker 1: pretty damn close to eighty or ninety percent of what
- 9:19Speaker 1: will get you recruited. So I know this was a
- 9:22Speaker 1: couple of years back, but I threw a bullpen. And
- 9:26Speaker 1: it's funny because if you look at it, I don't
- 9:29Speaker 1: throw a single strike, like there's a there's a target
- 9:34Speaker 1: right in the middle, and I don't hit it once.
- 9:38Speaker 1: But I was nineteen to ninety three, and that got
- 9:45Speaker 1: me a ton of attention. And even when I was showcasing,
- 9:50Speaker 1: I threw a bullpen in front of like one hundred
- 9:52Speaker 1: plus scouts. It was in the Arizona Academic Game. If
- 9:57Speaker 1: you can get into that, get into that, because I mean,
- 10:00Speaker 1: if the coaches know you're good at academics, then it's
- 10:03Speaker 1: just a it's an easy You're an easy recruit. So
- 10:07Speaker 1: but anyway, I throw this bullpen and I was kind
- 10:13Speaker 1: of spraying it a little bit. I'm not gonna lie.
- 10:15Speaker 1: I was out there, I'm like super nervous all these scouts.
- 10:19Speaker 1: All I was telling myself is Josh, just whip it.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Just throw the shit out of it. And so that's
- 10:25Speaker 1: what I did, and I was kind of spraying a
- 10:27Speaker 1: little bit. But when I'm done, I got told I'm
- 10:31Speaker 1: ninety two to ninety four in that bullpen. In a bullpen,
- 10:36Speaker 1: And after that, the amount of text phone calls from
- 10:41Speaker 1: college coaches was unbelievable, and I was actually overwhelmed because
- 10:46Speaker 1: I didn't actually know I was capable of that. But
- 10:51Speaker 1: you know, velocity isn't everything, but it is a major,
- 10:54Speaker 1: major part, and so you do need to focus on that. Now,
- 11:01Speaker 1: if you're pretty young, if you're like ten or eleven, twelve, thirteen,
- 11:05Speaker 1: then yeah, just go out and play, like don't not play,
- 11:10Speaker 1: and dedicate that to velocity training because during those years,
- 11:14Speaker 1: you want to lay a pretty good foundation and just
- 11:18Speaker 1: go have fun and play baseball. Honestly, like you don't
- 11:22Speaker 1: really know if you're really you don't really know your
- 11:25Speaker 1: goals yet, Like you're so young that you just really
- 11:28Speaker 1: want to have fun and play multiple sports, play multiple positions.
- 11:34Speaker 1: And that would be my main focus when if you're
- 11:38Speaker 1: super young watching this, I would do body weight exercises
- 11:42Speaker 1: every single day. I'd be a little bit cautious as
- 11:45Speaker 1: to when you would start lifting weights. You know, there's
- 11:48Speaker 1: the argument of there's a lifting stunt growth. I mean,
- 11:53Speaker 1: maybe I started lifting when I was thirteen, but I
- 11:56Speaker 1: think I went a little bit overboard. I started like
- 11:58Speaker 1: back squading and stuff when I was young, and so
- 12:01Speaker 1: that's why I'm having a lot of back issues. Now,
- 12:05Speaker 1: do I regret it, No, because it's kind of what
- 12:08Speaker 1: got me to where I am. But I wouldn't recommend it.
- 12:11Speaker 1: And so if you're super young, just go have fun,
- 12:15Speaker 1: go play baseball. Don't like take time off for velocity
- 12:19Speaker 1: training until you're like, you know, fifteen, sixteen seventeen, when
- 12:24Speaker 1: you've decided that you wanted to take this seriously and
- 12:27Speaker 1: get recruited or get drafted or something like that. So
- 12:32Speaker 1: step number two is self improvement. So you're starting to
- 12:37Speaker 1: work on your velocity. Now you're doing the throwing program,
- 12:40Speaker 1: you're doing the lifting program, mobility program, all done by
- 12:43Speaker 1: your coach who knows what they're doing. Now what would
- 12:46Speaker 1: I do next? I would start myself to self improvement journey.
- 12:52Speaker 1: So what is self improvement? Let me give you an example.
- 12:56Speaker 1: So when I was playing when I was fifteen sixteen,
- 13:00Speaker 1: and I would go to practice and i'd come back,
- 13:02Speaker 1: I have all this free time. You know, I'd already
- 13:05Speaker 1: done my homework and stuff like that, and so I
- 13:07Speaker 1: had like three hours of time until I went to bed.
- 13:11Speaker 1: And so what I did was I'd grind call of
- 13:14Speaker 1: duty or I would watch anime or I'd go watch
- 13:18Speaker 1: movies on Netflix stuff of that nature. But instead, what
- 13:23Speaker 1: I would do if I had started over, I would
- 13:26Speaker 1: start my self development journey. And what I mean by
- 13:29Speaker 1: this is you want to improve every aspect of your life.
- 13:34Speaker 1: So you know, we all have fears and anxieties and
- 13:39Speaker 1: insecurities and stuff like that, and self improvement is basically
- 13:43Speaker 1: attacking these things. It's it's attacking your fears, your anxieties,
- 13:49Speaker 1: and your insecurities so that you feel more confident in
- 13:53Speaker 1: yourself as a person. So I'll give you an example.
- 13:55Speaker 1: This is actually a funny one. I was really scared
- 13:59Speaker 1: of talking to girls when I was young. I'm not
- 14:02Speaker 1: gonna lie. I was pretty awkward. Yeah, like so much
- 14:08Speaker 1: anxiety when I go talk to a girl, like I
- 14:11Speaker 1: kind of just shut down. And I was like, damn,
- 14:15Speaker 1: Like I don't like this about myself, so I'm gonna
- 14:17Speaker 1: try to improve it. So what did I do. I
- 14:21Speaker 1: went to all these mauls and like high population areas,
- 14:25Speaker 1: and I would just go ask girls out. I'd be like, hey,
- 14:28Speaker 1: excuse me, like can I grab your number? Not those words.
- 14:33Speaker 1: I had a little bit more risk than that, but yeah,
- 14:36Speaker 1: I would just do that, and yeah, it was terrifying,
- 14:39Speaker 1: but it was overcoming that fear. That was like I
- 14:45Speaker 1: was improving myself by overcoming that fear and going and
- 14:49Speaker 1: doing it. And the purpose of this is pretty much
- 14:53Speaker 1: to prove to yourself that you're a badass, that you
- 14:57Speaker 1: go out and you can overcome your fears, can be
- 15:00Speaker 1: disciplined and you know, like improve parts of yourself. And
- 15:09Speaker 1: why is this so valuable as a baseball player. Basically,
- 15:13Speaker 1: it gives you a lot of confidence in yourself. And
- 15:17Speaker 1: when you have confidence in yourself, you have when you're
- 15:20Speaker 1: really comfortable in your own skin, then that shows on
- 15:25Speaker 1: the field and now you can go out and play
- 15:27Speaker 1: with confidence. You can play with swagger, and honestly, the
- 15:31Speaker 1: recruiters will notice that. And so the first the second
- 15:36Speaker 1: step would be start your self improvement journey, and I'll
- 15:40Speaker 1: give you some practical tips instead of grinding call of duty,
- 15:45Speaker 1: read a self improvement book. There are so many out there.
- 15:49Speaker 1: One of my favorites is Mindset by Carol Dweck, David Goggins,
- 15:54Speaker 1: Can't Hurt Me, Almanac of Naval Rabba Kan. There are
- 15:59Speaker 1: so many good out there, and honestly, it doesn't even
- 16:02Speaker 1: have to be self improvement, just any kind of book
- 16:04Speaker 1: that's interesting to you, because reading is really good for
- 16:07Speaker 1: the mind. It's improving your ability to understand things, and
- 16:14Speaker 1: it's just really good for the brain. So you're improving
- 16:16Speaker 1: that area of yourself. That's part of self improvement. Instead
- 16:20Speaker 1: of being scared and insecure about it. Instead of being
- 16:24Speaker 1: scared or insecure about something, go out and attack it.
- 16:28Speaker 1: So I gave you that example with the girls. If
- 16:32Speaker 1: you're insecure or awkward or something with girls, go and
- 16:35Speaker 1: court approach a hundred girls, you know, Or if you're
- 16:39Speaker 1: really scared of doing something, then go and do it
- 16:42Speaker 1: and try to attack that. That's pretty much the process
- 16:45Speaker 1: of self improvement. And if you look it up, then
- 16:48Speaker 1: there's a lot of great stuff about self improvement. And
- 16:51Speaker 1: I would highly, highly recommend that because honestly, that is
- 16:57Speaker 1: the biggest mental unlock for a lot of people and players.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Even if you throw ninety five, if you're not confident,
- 17:09Speaker 1: you're not going to be able to play it as
- 17:10Speaker 1: well as you can. And that's kind of what happened
- 17:13Speaker 1: to me. I was throwing ninety five at that point,
- 17:16Speaker 1: but I got the yips because I had so much anxiety.
- 17:19Speaker 1: I had never done any self improvement. All these insecurities
- 17:22Speaker 1: and anxieties got to me and I wasn't able to
- 17:26Speaker 1: play at my potential. So if I started over, then
- 17:31Speaker 1: the second set will be start yourself improvement journey. Start
- 17:35Speaker 1: doing stuff productive off the field, and that will give
- 17:39Speaker 1: you a really big competitive advantage because chances are no
- 17:43Speaker 1: one else is doing it. So once you're working on
- 17:46Speaker 1: your velocity, then start your self improvement journey. All right.
- 17:52Speaker 1: Step three, and this is the easy, the most fun
- 17:56Speaker 1: part is to distribute yourself and showcase yourself. So once
- 18:03Speaker 1: you're working on your velocity and you're doing your self
- 18:06Speaker 1: improvement and you've done that for six to twelve months
- 18:10Speaker 1: and you're throwing at least ninety miles an hour, and
- 18:14Speaker 1: you know you're starting to get confident in yourself. You've
- 18:16Speaker 1: been doing yourself improvement journey stuff, get some video of
- 18:21Speaker 1: yourself and start to cold email all the college coaches
- 18:25Speaker 1: that you want to get recruited by. You know, you
- 18:27Speaker 1: might not get any responses back, but it's worth a try.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Cold emails. I mean, you know, like there's no harm
- 18:36Speaker 1: in it, there's only upside. You spend like five to
- 18:41Speaker 1: ten minutes writing an email and you know, they might
- 18:44Speaker 1: not reply back, but if they did, then very very
- 18:47Speaker 1: well worth it. You know. Some other options are post
- 18:51Speaker 1: that video on Twitter, start to build a social media brand,
- 18:55Speaker 1: Start to tag flat ground app on Twitter, and they'll
- 19:01Speaker 1: repost it and they'll get some distribution for you. Try
- 19:05Speaker 1: to get your video out to everywhere. Start to ask
- 19:08Speaker 1: a lot of coaches like, hey, if you're if these
- 19:11Speaker 1: guys are looking for a picture or a player, let
- 19:16Speaker 1: me know stuff like that. You know, just try to
- 19:18Speaker 1: get your video out as much as possible, and honestly, like,
- 19:23Speaker 1: this might not get you an offer, but it might
- 19:26Speaker 1: get a coach to come look at you. And so
- 19:29Speaker 1: that's what happened with me was that I had videos
- 19:32Speaker 1: on me throwing load the mid nineties, and so I
- 19:36Speaker 1: was distributing that a lot. And yeah, it didn't get
- 19:39Speaker 1: me any offers or anything, but it did get me
- 19:41Speaker 1: a lot of interest to where I was like, all right,
- 19:44Speaker 1: I'm gonna be in Arizona and this showcase, come watch
- 19:48Speaker 1: me play. And they actually did come and watch me play.
- 19:52Speaker 1: And so step three is to distribute yourself, get video,
- 19:57Speaker 1: yourself distributed as much as possible. Your social media. Social
- 20:01Speaker 1: media is massive. These days, try to get as many
- 20:05Speaker 1: people to retweet it or share it, and if you're
- 20:09Speaker 1: good enough, then you're gonna get a ton of interest.
- 20:12Speaker 1: Just don't do this if you're throwing, if you if
- 20:16Speaker 1: you're not that great, like if you're learning in the
- 20:18Speaker 1: lower eighties and just you need to go back and
- 20:21Speaker 1: train and get good first before you start distributing, because
- 20:25Speaker 1: it's gonna have the reverse effect. If you're low eighties
- 20:28Speaker 1: and you're trying to distribute it and you're messaging everyone,
- 20:31Speaker 1: then it's gonna come across as just annoying. Like if
- 20:34Speaker 1: I was a college coach and someone's if I'm out
- 20:36Speaker 1: of D one Powerhouse D one and I get a
- 20:38Speaker 1: video of someone throwing eighty two, like Jesus Christic, this
- 20:45Speaker 1: is just straight up annoying. But if it's this guy's,
- 20:51Speaker 1: it's like okay, Like, yeah, this guy's interesting, I might
- 20:54Speaker 1: want to go look at. So make sure you're good
- 20:58Speaker 1: first and you're confident in yourself enough to go perform
- 21:02Speaker 1: at a high level. And so now you're distributing your product,
- 21:06Speaker 1: you're gaining some interest around you. Now you want to
- 21:10Speaker 1: go and showcase, So you want to find showcases that
- 21:15Speaker 1: you know scouts will be at for the best results.
- 21:19Speaker 1: So for me, it was the Arizona Fall Classic and
- 21:22Speaker 1: the Arizona faur Academic Game. Arizona Fall Classic. Maybe that's
- 21:28Speaker 1: the minor league one, but anyway, it's something something like that.
- 21:32Speaker 1: And I went on a travel ball team, and I
- 21:35Speaker 1: knew that there were going to be a ton of
- 21:37Speaker 1: college scouts there, so I'd be covered. And I also
- 21:41Speaker 1: asked all the coaches who I had cold em out
- 21:45Speaker 1: and who had shown interest to come and watch me play.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Because the showcases are where the offers happen. They need
- 21:51Speaker 1: to see you in person to give you an offer.
- 21:55Speaker 1: And so that's what I did. I went on showcased
- 22:01Speaker 1: and I pitched the best that I ever have. Honestly,
- 22:05Speaker 1: I was, you know, ninety two, ninety four, touching ninety five,
- 22:09Speaker 1: just striking out the house. And because of that, I
- 22:15Speaker 1: got a ton of offers, and I even got offered
- 22:18Speaker 1: by Stanford and ASU. Stanford is a little bit of
- 22:24Speaker 1: another story because there was a longer process, but I
- 22:27Speaker 1: got offered by ASU. I got offered by all these
- 22:30Speaker 1: schools that I never thought I'd be able to get
- 22:32Speaker 1: recruited by. And it goes back to I threw hard
- 22:38Speaker 1: and I'd started my self improvement journey to be confident
- 22:41Speaker 1: in myself enough to go and compete. The third step
- 22:46Speaker 1: is just the distribution and showcase. If those two things. Honestly,
- 22:51Speaker 1: the first thing Vello just has to happen, like you
- 22:55Speaker 1: have to be throwing ninety plus if you want to
- 22:57Speaker 1: go to a Powerhouse Universe or a D one or
- 23:01Speaker 1: something self improvement journey, you know, like this is one
- 23:05Speaker 1: of my biggest regrets that I didn't start earlier. But
- 23:08Speaker 1: I guess it isn't a necessity, but I would highly
- 23:12Speaker 1: highly recommend it. And this is something that I would
- 23:15Speaker 1: do if I started over. I was sixteen years old,
- 23:18Speaker 1: and I would and I could tell myself what exactly
- 23:22Speaker 1: to do. This would be top two things that I
- 23:27Speaker 1: will tell start your self improvement journey. Number three, Distribute
- 23:32Speaker 1: and showcase. I mean, if you're good, then this should
- 23:37Speaker 1: be really fun, like you're gonna get a ton of offers,
- 23:40Speaker 1: it's gonna be you're probably gonna be dominating. And so
- 23:46Speaker 1: make sure you get those two two two right, because
- 23:49Speaker 1: without those two, the third one doesn't work. And honestly,
- 23:54Speaker 1: without the first first one of throwing, at least ninety
- 23:58Speaker 1: miles an hour. If you start dishup a showcasing and
- 24:00Speaker 1: you're going to get no interest, and it's honestly, you're
- 24:03Speaker 1: going to come across as shut up annoying. I'm sorry
- 24:07Speaker 1: to say it, but it is what it is. And
- 24:09Speaker 1: so yeah, those are the three steps that I will take.
- 24:15Speaker 1: Velo training, self improvement, distribute, and showcase. If you do
- 24:19Speaker 1: want help with any of this, message me on Twitter.
- 24:22Speaker 1: I do coach some guys. I'm pretty selective of who
- 24:25Speaker 1: I take, but you know, worth a try. Just message
- 24:29Speaker 1: me and we'll see what we can do. I really,
- 24:32Speaker 1: really hope this helped you, and I wish you the
- 24:36Speaker 1: best in your baseball career.
