Transcript
- 0:05Hello everyone, I'm Tavis Bryant of the BBQ Therapy Podcast and
- 0:10I'm just doing a quick follow up on the Tim Shear episode.
- 0:14I did get to go out to the race and met up with the Blues Hog
- 0:21team and the experience was awesome.
- 0:27I appreciate and thank Tim for allowing me to come out there
- 0:31and gain experience and most that people would think I was
- 0:37crazy for going out there and working, but I did it for
- 0:44experience. I did it for knowledge.
- 0:47I did it to just observe how to promote yourself as a business
- 0:55and I got to also participate in making people happy.
- 1:01What it was a fan zone outside of the racetrack that we got the
- 1:07opportunity to hand out Blues Hog BBQ sauce as well as wing
- 1:12sauce samples to the crowd as well as they cooked sausage and
- 1:19some steak on the drums that they had there and they handed
- 1:26those out also so they can try the other different sauces that
- 1:31they had out there as well as the seasoning.
- 1:33The reception was good and I didn't know what to expect when
- 1:38I got out there. I got out there about 11:30 and
- 1:42we probably served nonstop until about 6:30.
- 1:48The line was endless. People were happy, everybody was
- 1:54doing their part as far as making everything flow well.
- 1:58It just blew my mind because I learned as a company how to
- 2:03promote yourself, how to act professional and as well as have
- 2:10fun while doing it. And all it does is promote your
- 2:16brand and also it shows what type of person you are.
- 2:23Tim, what can I say that he's so down to earth.
- 2:28Most folks, you would think there will be CEO of multiple
- 2:32companies would act a certain way, but he's down to earth and
- 2:38he's one of the first ones to get his hands dirty and do the
- 2:41work. And it I admire that anybody
- 2:46roll up their sleeves along with the people that works with them
- 2:53and do the same amount of work that they do.
- 2:56It's admirable, but I think him and Blues Hog we're rolling out
- 3:01the red carpet and allowing me to participate and have fun in
- 3:05that atmosphere. The interview, like I said,
- 3:08y'all those that heard it, it was a wonderful interview.
- 3:12Everybody except the one person that gave a thumbs down.
- 3:16But he probably got a gateway drum in his backyard.
- 3:21But I thank all those that listen to it and gave it a
- 3:26chance. There's other great episodes out
- 3:29there that you can listen to. And I got more on the way and I
- 3:35like to see where this podcast is going.
- 3:38I would love to help many people out there and I would love more
- 3:43people to come on and share their story as well because
- 3:46there's thousands and thousands of people out there that can
- 3:50help people with their story of where they started from to where
- 3:54they're at now. Give advice on food trucks as
- 3:58well as those that have catering operations or may have a BBQ
- 4:05store or their own smokers or grills, sauces, rubs, anything
- 4:11like that. Come on and promote yourself.
- 4:15Show what makes you different from everybody else so people
- 4:21can get eyes on your product as well as hear your story and
- 4:26motivate them that those that are on the edge of wanting to do
- 4:30something and not knowing if they want to do it or not, your
- 4:38story may motivate them to jump start into something that might
- 4:42change their whole life. I definitely would like anyone
- 4:47that's willing to come on. Definitely come on.
- 4:50Don't be hesitant. We try to make it laid back and
- 4:53fun. Like I said, I'm not a podcast
- 4:56host. I'm just a guy with a podcast
- 4:59and I just want to shoot the breeze with people and have fun
- 5:04and entertain people as well as educate people.
- 5:08So definitely reach out. My DM or my e-mail address is
- 5:13barbecuetherapypodcast@gmail.com. You can reach me on Facebook DM
- 5:19or Instagram DM. But definitely once again,
- 5:24closing the week of Tim Shear. I want to thank you personally
- 5:28for me to experience something new.
- 5:32I did get to go in the race with them and it was it was fun.
- 5:37It was fun because I never did that before and it's loud, but
- 5:43it's exciting just seeing the speeds of the car and how
- 5:47everybody's excited about it. And you'll be surprised that
- 5:51most folks think that just a certain race go to watch the
- 5:54NASCAR races. But there was a mix of every
- 5:58nationality and race that came in to cheer on their favorite
- 6:03driver and it was enjoyable to see.
- 6:06It was peaceful and everybody had a good time.
- 6:10So I thank you again, Tim, Blues Hog team, everybody that I've
- 6:14met, his family, thank y'all for allowing me to participate and
- 6:19come out there and help once again.
- 6:21All those that came and got opportunity to try Blues Hog
- 6:25that never tried it before. We just thank you.
- 6:29And that's the end of this episode and I look forward to
- 6:36inviting you to the next episode and listen in some of the older
- 6:41episodes also. I guarantee you'll enjoy them.
- 6:45I put my heart and soul in these.
