- 0:51SPEAKER_00: I am so excited.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: The next few episodes are requests from you guys, which I love doing.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: And honestly, you gave me such inspired ideas that as soon as I saw them, I was like, hell yes, I want to talk about this deeper.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: So today we are going into the nervous system and cortisol, how to rebalance it, exercises to do.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: And you may have heard me say before, you know, how much an impact stress has on your system.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: However, it is important to note that stress is not just the stress from an exam or school or the pandemic, right?
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: Nervous system and cortisol and stress have to also do with trauma.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: So we are going to be diving into that.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: I also have some previous episodes on this topic, along with why everyone has trauma, kind of how to heal from it.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: So make sure you go back and listen to all of those episodes as well.
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: So let's go ahead and dive into it.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: I'm also going to be diving into how to rebalance it, exerciseslash things you can do now to start rewiring your nervous system.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: So, the number one thing we have to remember is when our nervous system is jacked, everything goes to shit.
- 2:01SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: Your weight becomes like impossible to lose, like especially whether it is 50 pounds or that lasts five to 10 pounds.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: If you feel like you have stubborn weight that is not coming off, that you try to get off but it comes back, 100% it's stress related.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: It messes up your gut completely.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: Obviously, you get bloated, you might get diarrhea or IBS or constipation, depending on which way you kind of go.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: IBS, like I said, bloating, hormonal issues, trouble conceiving, PCOS.
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: I mean, basically, everything, your libido, your sex drive goes in the toilet when you're stressed out.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: Everything, everything goes to shit when you're stressed.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: Your skin, that goes to shit when you're stressed.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: Trying to think of those are like, that's all of it.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: Mental health, obviously, you're stressed out.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: So like anxiety is gonna be worse.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: Everything is tied back to stress, right?
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: So when we think about constant stress, that means constant cortisol for a long period of time until your cortisol burns out, and then you become a low cortisol.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: So it's important to distinguish the two between high cortisol and low cortisol.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: Low cortisol is what happens after you've been really stressed out over a long period of time, which is becoming very frequent now because of the last two years.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: People were in high cortisol for a year, year and a half, maybe even two years, but now their cortisol response is pretty much like zero, which isn't good.
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: That's not, I would say argue that's even worse than being high cortisol, right?
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: So just keep in mind that there's different levels of cortisol.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: You can be high or low, and you don't want either of them.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: Now the problem is that when you have constant trauma that you have not released from your body yet, your nervous system is still in that fight or flight response.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: So let's break it down super simple.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: Imagine you had a traumatic event that happened to you in childhood that you you never fully released or identified.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: This could be bullying, this could be not finding your mom for five minutes in the grocery store.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: If you're unfamiliar with this concept, definitely go back and listen to why everyone has trauma.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: I'm pretty sure that's what it's called, and know that it can be bullying.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: It could be your mom saying no to you going party, it can be very basic things.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: However, when you do not release these things, then let's layer on some middle, like adolescent stuff, add on some high school, I don't know, whatever, breakups, that kind of trauma, and then pandemic, being adult, work, bills, whatever it is, right?
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: Until you actually complete the cycle of this, your nervous system is still firing and reacting to it.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: So imagine that it's imagine you're running from a tiger and that cortisol response, that same thing is happening to the stuff that happened to you in childhood.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: So what does that mean?
- 4:50SPEAKER_00: That means your nervous system gets more and more and more jacked until it is off the walls, until you can't heal your bloating and IBS, no matter if you're gluten-free, dairy-free, paleo, whatever you want to call it, no matter how much movement you do, you know, or how clean you eat, weight doesn't come off.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: Um, no matter what you do, like you're struggling with fertility, or maybe you have PCOS or endo, your hormones are out of whack, even though they come back quote unquote normal on blood work, right?
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: You can start to see this in so many different areas.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: So you need to remember constant trauma equals constant stress equals constant cortisol.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: And then later on, the day-to-day stresses of just being a human in this world right now, right?
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: So you need to get your body out of this fight or flight response.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: But you cannot get it fully out of the fight or flight response until you complete the emotions and the trauma cycle and do the emotional release, like I said.
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: Otherwise, your body, your body keeps score, kind of like the book.
- 5:53SPEAKER_00: Though I don't recommend the book, I found the book very boring and very yeah, I do not recommend the book.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: It's just a bad book.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: But your body does keep score.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: You basically get the whole gist of the book in the title.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: Your body keeps score.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: So it's important to learn to rewire your nervous system because in this case, your cup is too full.
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: So you've heard people talk about your cup being full in a positive way, but this one, your cup is full in a negative way.
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: So let's picture an empty cup, right?
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: A little bit of water gets poured in.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: Maybe that's stuff from seven years old and under, right?
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: Maybe parents getting divorced or whatever, like you just not getting the love you felt like you needed, not being seen, being told you were too much, whatever it is.
- 6:35SPEAKER_00: That's some water in the cup.
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: Then we have more water in the cup when you start being in the tween years, and maybe you're left out at school, you're bullied, or whatever it is.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: And if anyone's thinking, oh, I had a great childhood, oh, my parents were amazing, I cannot tell you how many people have come to me saying that within one session, I unpack and they're bawling their eyes out from the trauma they've happened in childhood when they told me they had quote unquote no trauma.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: So I really encourage you to really evaluate your life because chances are there is something in there.
- 7:06SPEAKER_00: Just as an example, because to show you how small this is, a couple weeks ago I had a client and we were working on the first time that she felt rejected, right?
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: To work on um why she's be feeling so rejected right now.
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: And what it took her back to when we were doing the trauma release was I think she was either six or seven, and she was at her friend's house.
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: They were having pancakes, and she was scared of ketchup at the time, and her friend was putting ketchup on pancakes, and she got freaked out, like actually upset, like was afraid of ketchup, and then everyone was laughing at her and she felt rejected from then on.
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: She had a huge emotional release.
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: So do not think that something needs to be a full rejection, like someone breaking up with you for like something like that to make sense.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: So that's just a side note, just to kind of spark your memory and plant that seed in your brain so you can start to uncover kind of why this is happening to you.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: Alright.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: So that gets pulled in.
- 7:57SPEAKER_00: Then we have middle school, whatever, maybe not getting picked for volleyball, I don't know.
- 8:03SPEAKER_00: Then we've got high school.
- 8:04SPEAKER_00: High school's always like, I feel like there's just stuff for everyone in high school, right?
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, that's when you're coming into more of like your feminine energy, you're starting like dating possibly, or whatever that is, like friend groups and then college, and that's a huge adjustment.
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: If you moved away from home, blah, blah, blah, maybe something something else happened.
- 8:21SPEAKER_00: And of course, there's also like deeper traumas that I'm not going into, such as you know, the deeper stuff.
- 8:26SPEAKER_00: That's obviously like an obvious trauma, but I want to bring your attention to things that you may not think are so obvious that your body is holding on to, right?
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: So you need to get your body out of this fight or flight, and you need to complete those cycles because otherwise you become high cortisol for so long and then low cortisol.
- 8:45SPEAKER_00: And low cortisol causes just as much, if not more, problems than high cortisol as well.
- 8:50SPEAKER_00: So you do not want either of them.
- 8:51SPEAKER_00: I want to stress that that like sometimes when we think of cortisol, we always think of high.
- 8:56SPEAKER_00: And if you're really burnt out, it could be low, and that still means lack of energy, digestive issues, hormonal issues, and so much more.
- 9:03SPEAKER_00: So if you feel like you are just utterly exhausted all the time, um, can't get out of bed, like low, can just so so low energy, like taking a walk is difficult, then you might have low cortisol as opposed to high.
- 9:14SPEAKER_00: But you still need to complete the cycle because your cortisol response will not be able to elicit energy or hormones or lose weight if you're in too low cortisol either, because your body's perceiving it as it does not have enough energy.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: So if it doesn't have the enough energy to pump out to flighting from a tiger, it's not gonna let you have the digestion and everything else that you want.
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: So hopefully that makes sense.
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: There's a reason why you can't clear it yourself.
- 9:43SPEAKER_00: I mean, I'm gonna get into some things you can do, like some exercises and rebalancing it and things to moderate it.
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: However, I am going to encourage you that like the analogy I gave in a previous podcast episode about like using the sand shovel at the beach, like the small plastic one versus the bulldozer.
- 9:59SPEAKER_00: It's very hard to hold space for yourself and go back into your own trauma and be able to release it, especially if you don't know what it was.
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: And a lot of people do not necessarily know what it was, like the one I mentioned.
- 10:13SPEAKER_00: She didn't know the rejection came from that.
- 10:15SPEAKER_00: It's when I did the exercise with her, took her back, that she was able to see it.
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: So kudos if you already know.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: But even if you already know, I would really encourage you to either work with me one-on-one or get into well nourish or work with whoever you're feeling called to, to be honest, because it's very important that whoever you work with.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: I just wanted to take a break from this podcast episode to let you guys know that I'm doing something new this month.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: And for those of you who leave a review, or if you've left a review already and you share an episode of the podcast to your stories and tag me on Instagram.
- 10:46SPEAKER_00: I will be sending you a little free gift, which is my 411 guide to killing cravings.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: So if you share an episode, like I said, or write a review, screenshot it, post it on your stories, tag me.
- 11:00SPEAKER_00: Every single person who does this will just get that sent to their email.
- 11:04SPEAKER_00: So take a screenshot, tag me, um, and you will receive this little free gift from me.
- 11:09SPEAKER_00: It is my gift to you for sharing this podcast, sharing an episode that you love that resonated.
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: Um, and if I've helped your life in any way with this podcast, whether I've said, you know, one thing that just shifted your perspective or changed, I would so so appreciate you sharing.
- 11:24SPEAKER_00: And yeah, this is my little gift to you.
- 11:27SPEAKER_00: And with that, let's get back to the episode.
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: Not only creates a safe space, but you they know what they're doing.
- 11:32SPEAKER_00: Like, I cannot caution against this enough.
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: Make sure that if you are doing trauma work with somebody, that they know what the hell they are doing.
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: Because people have come to me after having like done the work with other people to release trauma.
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: I remember actually there was a one-on-one this game.
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: She's like, Oh yeah, I've been doing the emotional work for months.
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: I've been releasing trauma.
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: And I was just like, No, you haven't, because it's all over your body.
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: If you did, you wouldn't still have symptoms.
- 11:57SPEAKER_00: Within just a couple sessions with me, she was already astronomically better and now she's thriving, right?
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: So you need to remember this.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: Often you don't know what it is, and so that's also where someone else comes in.
- 12:09SPEAKER_00: But like I said, just make sure they're reputable, make sure that you know the they've gotten results with people that they know what they're doing.
- 12:16SPEAKER_00: Um, because you just do do not want to re-traumatize yourself or bring up the trauma, and then they don't know how to clear properly, and then you're left worse off.
- 12:25SPEAKER_00: So I say that just because I've seen this too many times, and I do want to prevent that you know from happening to you.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: So you need to rebalance and purge the emotions that are causing the buildup.
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: Think about it like unclogging the pipe.
- 12:38SPEAKER_00: Actually, think about it like never having a bowel movement.
- 12:40SPEAKER_00: If you've never done emotional release, that's like never going to the bathroom.
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: Can you imagine how backed up you are?
- 12:47SPEAKER_00: Can you imagine how much is like sitting in there and how like heavy is also like I'm sure everyone listening at one point in their life has been constipated for at least a day.
- 12:57SPEAKER_00: You know it's like the worst feeling.
- 12:59SPEAKER_00: Like, I 100% would rather have diarrhea than constipation, like any day of the week, right?
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: It's really uncomfortable.
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: Think about that as like emotions.
- 13:07SPEAKER_00: Well, no wonder you're having trouble manifesting, no wonder you're having troubles in your relationships, no wonder your body has all these physical symptoms or pains, no wonder you're not thriving, right?
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: You need to purge that out, you need to clean it out.
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: Or imagine like never cleaning your house, never cleaning the bathroom.
- 13:22SPEAKER_00: Can you imagine how much grime and dirt and dust and buildup?
- 13:26SPEAKER_00: Obviously, you're gonna feel gross, right?
- 13:28SPEAKER_00: Like, think about the amount of buildup.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: So definitely reach out to me if you're listening to this, depending on what time of the year, or if you're listening to it when it comes out.
- 13:36SPEAKER_00: Um, we can definitely find something for you.
- 13:38SPEAKER_00: Just reach out if you feel like I'm the person to clear it.
- 13:40SPEAKER_00: But I wanted to give you some exercises to do to start the work now that you can start doing that are safe for you to do on your own, um, and so that you're not re-traumatizing yourself.
- 13:52SPEAKER_00: So, number one, you need to take, and this sounds simple, but you'd be surprised, what aggravates your nervous system and really start to figure out the root of why that aggravates your nervous system.
- 14:07SPEAKER_00: And you want to look at your job, your home, your environment, your friendships, your relationships, who you live with.
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: Oh, who you live with is huge.
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: Um, whoever you surround yourself with.
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: You also want to look at, you know, things like money or wealth, whether that's something that, you know, stresses you out or activates your cortisol response.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: Things that, you know, obviously we we can control a bit more, like look at the things that we have more control over with.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, all these things.
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: You want to take an inventory of all of your life, all the different aspects, and see where does your nervous system feel good and where does it feel safe.
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: Because at the end of the day, the secret to feeling healthy or the secret to getting healthy is making your body feel like it's safe.
- 14:49SPEAKER_00: Otherwise, it's gonna self-sabotage the weight might come off, but it's gonna come back on, or you might get no bloating for a day, but then it comes back, right?
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: The secret to all of this is feeling safe.
- 14:57SPEAKER_00: But we want to try to minimize the things that your body has to transmute or protect itself from or do, and that's by what aggravates your nervous system.
- 15:07SPEAKER_00: Is it Joe at work?
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: Is it tight deadlines?
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: Is it when having too much on your plate?
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: Is it Sally, your friend Sally, who's, I don't know, always negative?
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: Is it whatever it is, right?
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: Take inventory.
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: I know, like, or is it like uh an untidy house, like when there's dishes all over the place and everything like that does that clutter your mind and like make you anxious, like a jacked nervous system, right?
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: You want to think about how you can bring stillness, zen, and your parasympathetic system active into all of these places.
- 15:38SPEAKER_00: You want to keep your parasympathetic system activated pretty much as much as you can, because in this day and age it's very hard to keep that part active.
- 15:47SPEAKER_00: You don't really have to worry about sympathetic because of our day and age, but you want to keep your parasympathetic working properly.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: The next tip going on to that is magnesium.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: I say this like there are very few things that a lot of people or most people need to take.
- 16:02SPEAKER_00: Magnesium is one of them.
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: It is the most deficient mineral in like North America.
- 16:07SPEAKER_00: It is required of over 300 different biochemical processes in the body.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: You go through it faster when you're stressed out, so everyone's burning through magnesium faster.
- 16:17SPEAKER_00: And as much as I am an advocate for food first, there's no way you're getting enough magnesium from food.
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: Even I don't, right?
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: And I eat really clean.
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: You want to make sure you're getting magnesium and that you're getting a good quality magnesium.
- 16:28SPEAKER_00: Please do not buy your vitamins at Costco or Jameson or like I don't know, other brands that are just not clean.
- 16:37SPEAKER_00: They have so many fillers.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: Look for the fillers in your vitamins.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: You're gonna want to get a good magnesium bisglycinate.
- 16:44SPEAKER_00: Do the natural calm powder, that is not the magnesium for stress.
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: That is the magnesium for shitting.
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: If you need to poop, magnesium citrate for sure, the calm.
- 16:54SPEAKER_00: But that calm stuff doesn't actually calm your nervous system.
- 16:57SPEAKER_00: You need magnesium bisglycinate.
- 16:59SPEAKER_00: That's just like a marketing tactic.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: You need magnesium bisglycinate if you're looking at it for your nervous system.
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: The next thing, exercises to do, slash things to do, meditate at least 15 minutes a day.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: If you're telling me, Liv, I don't know how to meditate, I can't quiet my mind, that is a sign you need to meditate first.
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: But also saying that is like telling me, well, Liv, I can't run 10k in 30 minutes, so I guess I can't run.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: No, that just means you need to practice, and that means you need to maybe get proper shoes.
- 17:30SPEAKER_00: You need to start little, like can we start with five minutes?
- 17:32SPEAKER_00: Can we start with binary beats in that if you can't do silent?
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: Can we do a guided meditation, right?
- 17:39SPEAKER_00: There is no there's no one that can't meditate.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: You just need a maybe a proper meditation, whether that's a guided one.
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: I have some more binary beats.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: I'm a big fan of binary beats, and you need to practice because you can't expect to be a master meditator, like I said about running the 10k in 30 minutes, having never run before.
- 17:55SPEAKER_00: It just doesn't make sense.
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: Meditate.
- 17:59SPEAKER_00: The next thing control I wrote brief notes and I said climate cortisol.
- 18:07SPEAKER_00: I'm guessing I meant control cortisol in your current day.
- 18:11SPEAKER_00: Stop watching the news.
- 18:12SPEAKER_00: Jesus, I cannot tell how many people like watch the news and this and that, and then they send their nervous system into a panic because it just promotes fear.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: I'm just gonna leave it there.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: Stop watching the news.
- 18:24SPEAKER_00: It's not helpful for your nervous system.
- 18:26SPEAKER_00: I promise you, I do not watch the news.
- 18:29SPEAKER_00: And my nervous system is not only better, but B, I know everything I need to know, so you're not missing out on anything.
- 18:34SPEAKER_00: Stop watching it.
- 18:36SPEAKER_00: Alright, the next one is to set boundaries and stop people pleasing.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: Which might sound simple, but when you do not send when you do not set boundaries, this violates your nervous system, and your people pleasing it's like you ignoring your nervous system's response and feelings about things, and then that sets off that response, which you do not want.
- 18:57SPEAKER_00: You need to set boundaries and you need to stop people pleasing if you hope to rewire your nervous system, release emotional shit, and fix all of that.
- 19:05SPEAKER_00: You have to stop because to be honest, like otherwise you're fighting this losing battle of you release, but then you don't set boundaries and people please, then we need to release again.
- 19:14SPEAKER_00: And it would just be a lot easier if you just started setting boundaries and stop people pleasing.
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: So if you struggle with that, definitely get into well-nourished because when we don't set boundaries and we don't stop people pleasing, that specifically shows up in your gut.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: Your gut has lots of different emotions at its stores.
- 19:29SPEAKER_00: I'm actually gonna do a whole podcast episode on it after this one, so it'll be the one after this.
- 19:34SPEAKER_00: But if you need help with that, get into well-nourished.
- 19:37SPEAKER_00: Sorry, I'm puffing and puffing because I just let a caution in the door.
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: Get into well-nourished because we're gonna go over that.
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: And usually it's because you lack self-worth.
- 19:45SPEAKER_00: So start asking yourself and evaluating where do I have trouble setting boundaries?
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: Why do I have trouble setting boundaries there?
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: And what am I afraid is gonna happen?
- 19:54SPEAKER_00: And then we need to release that.
- 19:56SPEAKER_00: The next thing is letting go of perfectionism.
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: That is because this is constant stress that is going to impact your nervous system.
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: When we have this need to be perfect, which all shows up in, you know, long to-do lists, nitpicking, negative self-talk, um, feeling never done with work, always could be doing more, not being able to relax, not turning your brain off, all of this.
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: That constant stress impacts your nervous system because you're never gonna be able to live up to this perfectionism idealism that you are setting for yourself, right?
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: So then everything's a constant disappointment, and then you're running an overdrive trying to catch up to something that's never it's like you know the racetrack and the bunny and the bunny goes around the track and the dogs chase it, you're gonna keep chasing something that you can never actually catch up to.
- 20:46SPEAKER_00: So it's just, I mean, it's so detrimental for your nervous system, but also the rest of your health, right?
- 20:50SPEAKER_00: So you definitely need to let go of perfectionism and of course get into well-nourished mean help with that.
- 20:55SPEAKER_00: All right, next.
- 20:57SPEAKER_00: EMFs.
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, this is if you want to protect your nervous system, make sure you are protecting against EMFs.
- 21:03SPEAKER_00: Things that I love that help with that.
- 21:05SPEAKER_00: Um, shugnite, I use shug night on my phone and my computer.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: Shugnite is a crystal that helps to mitigate EMFs and protect you from it.
- 21:13SPEAKER_00: Definitely do that.
- 21:14SPEAKER_00: Um, in your house, if you can get a surge protector to protect against EMFs.
- 21:18SPEAKER_00: Um, you also want to be doing regular detox, like cellular detox to detox from EMFs.
- 21:23SPEAKER_00: Um, putting your phone on airplane mode while you're sleeping really protects you against EMFs.
- 21:28SPEAKER_00: That's amazing.
- 21:29SPEAKER_00: Getting into nature as much as you can.
- 21:31SPEAKER_00: So if you live in the city, getting out of the city as much as you can and getting into nature, that's gonna help.
- 21:36SPEAKER_00: Grounding, grounding is going to help.
- 21:38SPEAKER_00: So that's feet on the earth for at least 20 minutes.
- 21:41SPEAKER_00: If you are living in Toronto right now or like somewhere cold, I say Toronto because that's obviously where I'm from, and I know you guys have minus 20.
- 21:48SPEAKER_00: Grounding meditation, grounding binaural beats, that will help.
- 21:51SPEAKER_00: Um, but also really look at like shutting off your Wi Fi overnight or shutting your phone off from the Wi Fi.
- 21:58SPEAKER_00: Um also.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Getting rid of headphones, so I made the decision.
- 22:02SPEAKER_00: I think it was even before this year, so maybe December.
- 22:04SPEAKER_00: So maybe like two or three months now, I stopped using my AirPods.
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: Um, now I use like the actual in-ear headphones because AirPods release a lot of EMFs, so I've cut that out to kind of like cut my exposure.
- 22:19SPEAKER_00: I actually stopped wearing my Apple Watch, which I didn't think I was going to do.
- 22:23SPEAKER_00: Um, I've stopped wearing my Apple Watch since I went to Tulum.
- 22:27SPEAKER_00: So since the beginning of November.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: So November, December, so almost three months now, stopped wearing my Apple Watch um to protect against EMFs just because the EMF reading that comes off of a whether it's AirPods or Apple Watch are massive, and I for me just don't see the the the benefit doesn't outweigh the risk for me personally.
- 22:43SPEAKER_00: But so making sure that if you can, obviously getting rid of those is going to become your diet is huge when it comes to your nervous system because your nervous system responds to what you eat.
- 22:55SPEAKER_00: But what I will also say, not only what you eat, but how you eat.
- 23:00SPEAKER_00: So let's break down each.
- 23:02SPEAKER_00: What you eat in terms of if you are eating like shit, if you are eating gluten and refined sugar and vegetable oils, that is stress on your body to have to actually metabolize and use that.
- 23:12SPEAKER_00: So that's gonna be making your nervous system worse.
- 23:14SPEAKER_00: But also how you eat.
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: So if you are eating healthy from the place of shame, guilt, not loving yourself, your body feels that and that jacks your nervous system.
- 23:24SPEAKER_00: And it's like, oh my god, okay, I have to eat clean, so I can lose this weight, so I can you feel good in my body, so I don't know, so someone will love me or blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, right?
- 23:31SPEAKER_00: That's that's jacking your nervous system.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: You need to eat healthy from a place of love.
- 23:34SPEAKER_00: So it's yes, eating healthy, but also eating healthy from love.
- 23:38SPEAKER_00: So make sure that both of those degrees you can do.
- 23:43SPEAKER_00: And then I would say stop emotional eating slash slash suppressing emotions.
- 23:49SPEAKER_00: So start becoming aware of when you are emotionally eating, what is actually the emotion there, because your nervous system will try to do something with the emotion if you're not doing emotional release.
- 24:00SPEAKER_00: So chances are that might be coming out as emotional eating, that might be coming out as random bursts of anger, or getting really weepy, or feeling depressed, or anxious, or snapping.
- 24:10SPEAKER_00: Um, it can come out on a variety of things.
- 24:12SPEAKER_00: Becoming aware of like, okay, what is it that this actually was, right?
- 24:18SPEAKER_00: What is it that is triggering this?
- 24:22SPEAKER_00: Because like, let's say you cry over spilt milk.
- 24:24SPEAKER_00: It's never you normally over spilt milk, it's over something else, right?
- 24:27SPEAKER_00: That like pre-charged your system up.
- 24:30SPEAKER_00: So you're real, like the more you can actually identify what it is and release it, the better it's going to be for rewiring your nervous system and balancing your cortisol response.
- 24:42SPEAKER_00: Now, I know a lot of things I said in this episode, I I kept it real, right?
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: Because you do need to take radical responsibility.
- 24:51SPEAKER_00: Like, you need to do all of these things that I mentioned, terms like the EMS, nature, eClean, stop watching the news, yes, do all that.
- 24:58SPEAKER_00: But you also want to clear the vessel and clear the container for any of that stuff that's built it up so that you're not constantly just trying to manage the day-to-day.
- 25:09SPEAKER_00: You've cleared out the whole thing so that small day-to-day stuff doesn't set you over the edge and set your nervous system into overdrive, right?
- 25:16SPEAKER_00: Because that's the thing, right?
- 25:17SPEAKER_00: Your nervous system doesn't want to be and shouldn't be in overdrive.
- 25:19SPEAKER_00: Oh, one thing I'll add that I almost forgot to say your nervous system tends to be in overdrive when you are stuck in your masculine and you have not activated enough of your feminine energy.
- 25:30SPEAKER_00: You need to be in your feminine if you want your nervous system to be more calm, flowy, zen, for you to be adaptable, for you to move with ease, flow with ease in life.
- 25:38SPEAKER_00: I'm assuming most of you are women listening to this, so this applies to each and one of each and every one of you.
- 25:43SPEAKER_00: You need to get into your feminine, like you need to heal your feminine energy.
- 25:46SPEAKER_00: Go back and listen to the podcast episode I did on how feminine energy is the key to unlocking greater abundance, because it is your feminine energy, is how you manifest, how you bring more uh into your life, all kinds of abundance, relationships, wealth, etc.
- 26:01SPEAKER_00: Another sign of like your nervous system being jacked and worn out is that you are in your masculine, and as a feminine being, that is draining you because you're not supposed to be in your masculine, you're supposed to be in your feminine.
- 26:12SPEAKER_00: So if you have questions about that, um let me know.
- 26:14SPEAKER_00: That's like the last thing I'll say.
- 26:16SPEAKER_00: So doing the emotional work isn't as fun as buying some trendy Instagram supplement, you know, that claims to balance your hormones.
- 26:23SPEAKER_00: I get it.
- 26:24SPEAKER_00: It's not as easy as popping a pill that's a band-aid approach that's gonna cause a whole other host of side effects, right?
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: Whether it's a medication or actually the pill.
- 26:35SPEAKER_00: I don't want to glamorize healing, right?
- 26:36SPEAKER_00: Don't glamorize healing.
- 26:37SPEAKER_00: Healing is hard.
- 26:38SPEAKER_00: Showing up for yourself is hard because when you feel that resistance of, oh no, I don't want to go there and feel that, that's when you have to feel.
- 26:47SPEAKER_00: You have to feel to heal and release and really be willing to uncover those parts of you that may have been hurting for a long time.
- 26:58SPEAKER_00: Maybe since childhood, maybe since we were born, perhaps in the womb.
- 27:03SPEAKER_00: And you know what happens when you actually do this work?
- 27:05SPEAKER_00: You transform.
- 27:06SPEAKER_00: I mean, like, yes, your bloating goes away, your cycle's balanced, you're not in pain, etc.
- 27:10SPEAKER_00: I love all that stuff.
- 27:12SPEAKER_00: But what my clients will tell you, and what you can see on the client wins on my Instagram, is that everything in their life transformed.
- 27:18SPEAKER_00: Their relationships, their self-love, their work, career, like tens of thousands of dollars in bonuses and promotions manifesting their dream house for less than listing price in New York, you know, their magnetism as well as their physical body.
- 27:32SPEAKER_00: So, like, think about how all of that is impacted, right?
- 27:36SPEAKER_00: Because when your body doesn't have to live with all of the trauma in it, you really get to blossom into the true version of you.
- 27:43SPEAKER_00: And that's what I do with my clients, right?
- 27:45SPEAKER_00: So if you are looking to work with me, send me a message and let me know what you're struggling with, and I will let you know which program or if one-on-one is best for you.
- 27:54SPEAKER_00: Truth be told, not everyone needs one-on-one.
- 27:56SPEAKER_00: Um, it kind of depends on your emotional history slash also your preference.
- 28:02SPEAKER_00: Like, we take both into account.
- 28:03SPEAKER_00: Um, but I want you to know, like, A, take everything I said in this episode, start rewiring nervous system now, because if you can start doing all this now, it makes the actual emotional release easier.
- 28:13SPEAKER_00: So get into nature, protect your EMFs, start setting boundaries if you can, meditate, set boundaries, do do all this.
- 28:19SPEAKER_00: Literally do everything I say in this episode and do it to a T.
- 28:23SPEAKER_00: And then, if and when your nervous system is still jacked and you're like, Liv, I'm eating clean, I have prevented EMFs, I'm meditating, you know, I'm getting outside, I'm getting sunlight, moving, but I still don't feel good, then we definitely need to do the emotional work.
- 28:37SPEAKER_00: So I want you to go do all this, then come to me, do the emotional work.
- 28:40SPEAKER_00: Or if you've already done all this and you're like, Liv, I'm still struggling, um, then let me know now and we can start healing you.
- 28:46SPEAKER_00: Because I really wish that someone told me all this when I was struggling for so long, you know, spending thousands of dollars on supplements, doing all the tests, eating so clean, and it it got me so far, right?
- 28:58SPEAKER_00: It got me part of the way, 100%.
- 29:01SPEAKER_00: But in order to feel 100% whole and to feel as good as I do, I need to do the rest of the work.
- 29:06SPEAKER_00: So, with that being said, any questions?
- 29:10SPEAKER_00: Let me know, and I will see you guys in the next episode.
