- 0:11Speaker 1: the air, and we have trist the Center joining us
- 0:15Speaker 1: because Ashley and Jared our parents, and we're celebrating that. Tristan, Yes,
- 0:22Speaker 1: we are so excited. Here. You were here for the
- 0:27Speaker 1: baby shower episode and prepping actually for this moment. She
- 0:32Speaker 1: was super nervous about delivering her baby boy, and it
- 0:36Speaker 1: sounds like she did absolutely amazing, like we all knew
- 0:40Speaker 1: she of course, I'm so excited to hear all the details.
- 0:44Speaker 1: I actually texted her and said, I'm filling in for
- 0:47Speaker 1: you today. I just wanted to say congratulations. Don't you
- 0:50Speaker 1: dare text me back. But I'm so happy for them.
- 0:53Speaker 1: I just love new parenthood and newborns and just this
- 0:59Speaker 1: change their life that is so exciting and monumentis and oh,
- 1:05Speaker 1: I just can't wait to hear how it went and
- 1:07Speaker 1: how she's feeling. Oh yeah, it's gonna it's gonna be
- 1:11Speaker 1: so exciting. And I know she's gonna be joining our
- 1:13Speaker 1: podcast sometimes very soon to tell us all the details
- 1:16Speaker 1: on how it's going. She obviously has uh uh a
- 1:20Speaker 1: very special place here, almost famous podcast considering it's her podcast,
- 1:23Speaker 1: But we're so happy to have you. Now, we have
- 1:25Speaker 1: a big episode. Uh, it is all about love. So
- 1:27Speaker 1: we're gonna interview two of bat Nation's favorite couples. Uh
- 1:32Speaker 1: noan Abigail and Michelle and Nate. We're gonna talk to
- 1:34Speaker 1: him about Valentine's Day. Um, we're gonna talk to him
- 1:38Speaker 1: about what their relationships like with the successes and struggles
- 1:42Speaker 1: have been. Um. But we're also very thankful because Macy's
- 1:46Speaker 1: helped put on this episode for us. Uh So what
- 1:50Speaker 1: better place to kind of celebrate love than going to
- 1:52Speaker 1: Valentine's Day and uh picking up some of Macy's. Now,
- 1:56Speaker 1: I know we have Nate and Michelle here right now
- 2:00Speaker 1: to join us, So let's bring him in and talk
- 2:02Speaker 1: about love. Yeah, hey, Michelle and Nato joined our podcast.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Thank you so much for coming on. It means a
- 2:08Speaker 1: lot to us. Well, thank you. You know we're here
- 2:13Speaker 1: and I don't know if you've heard the big news,
- 2:15Speaker 1: but my uh typical co host is Ashley I kennedtie.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Um we've been able to speak before. She just had
- 2:21Speaker 1: her baby, and so Trista Satter is filling in for
- 2:23Speaker 1: her because Ashley and Jared are our parents and that's
- 2:26Speaker 1: the big deal. Right, that's amazing. I'm so excited for
- 2:30Speaker 1: those two, right, I mean just I've talked to her
- 2:34Speaker 1: a little bit, but just even what she's posted, it
- 2:36Speaker 1: hasn't been the easiest pregnancy here. I'm sure they're really
- 2:42Speaker 1: happy to have their new family member here. Yes, Trista
- 2:49Speaker 1: came on. We did a baby sharp epis, so she
- 2:51Speaker 1: came out and gives some good advice. So I'm sure
- 2:53Speaker 1: actually crept and ready. But we've got to get some
- 2:55Speaker 1: advice from you too today. Uh. This episode is titled
- 2:59Speaker 1: Love is in the Air, and it is uh and
- 3:01Speaker 1: it's very obvious with you too, because we just talked
- 3:03Speaker 1: about it. You just decided to match and we're the
- 3:06Speaker 1: same black T shirt for this episode. So that's a
- 3:09Speaker 1: very like couple of things. Yeah, they have no words.
- 3:16Speaker 1: They have no words. That's great. I I appreciate it.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Um So Nate, Nate and Michelle first off, to kick
- 3:25Speaker 1: it off, how are you two doing. You're obviously together.
- 3:29Speaker 1: I know you travel around, you're not able to be
- 3:31Speaker 1: together at the time. How is your relationship going? Hey,
- 3:35Speaker 1: it's yeah, No, it's it's amazing, you know, like we're
- 3:38Speaker 1: we're definitely like bringing all of our like friends and
- 3:40Speaker 1: found me together, our friend groups together. Um. You know,
- 3:44Speaker 1: Michelle has been able to meet my friends from Canada,
- 3:46Speaker 1: my friends from Austin. I've been able to meet all
- 3:48Speaker 1: our hometown friends, UM family obviously, so it's it's it's
- 3:51Speaker 1: nice like everybody just coming together. But I don't know,
- 3:54Speaker 1: we're spending a lot of good time together, um, and
- 3:56Speaker 1: like really jumping into each other's lives. That's important. I
- 4:01Speaker 1: think that was probably the number one reason that Ryan
- 4:05Speaker 1: and I. I don't even know if you guys know
- 4:06Speaker 1: who I am, but I was the first bachelor at Nate. Um.
- 4:13Speaker 1: I'm sure you weren't watching the show back then if
- 4:15Speaker 1: you ever did before. But so I think that, you know,
- 4:19Speaker 1: Ryan and I moved to Vail, Colorado right after the show.
- 4:23Speaker 1: That's where he was living, and people ask all the time,
- 4:25Speaker 1: and I think that was one of the main reasons
- 4:27Speaker 1: that we've been able to be successful. So I love
- 4:31Speaker 1: seeing that you guys are working so hard on, you know,
- 4:35Speaker 1: intertwining your lives and bringing your families together, bringing your
- 4:39Speaker 1: friend groups together. I think it's really really important for
- 4:42Speaker 1: your future and and I really want you to succeed
- 4:45Speaker 1: because I love the two of you together so um,
- 4:48Speaker 1: just from this old old gal o g um. But
- 4:53Speaker 1: I love seeing that and I'm excited for you guys.
- 4:56Speaker 1: And on that note, I want to know because I
- 4:59Speaker 1: watched the After the Final Roads special, the big old
- 5:03Speaker 1: surprise check you got what do you do? Have you
- 5:05Speaker 1: found a house yet? What's going on with that? I mean,
- 5:10Speaker 1: that's something where like we are so excited about that.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Nat and I are definitely planners, like we we like
- 5:21Speaker 1: to make sure we have all the information. We want
- 5:23Speaker 1: to make sure that we're making the best choice. And
- 5:27Speaker 1: with that excitement, it's so easy to just all of
- 5:30Speaker 1: a sudden just you know, find a spot and jump
- 5:32Speaker 1: right into that. But we do talk a lot about investing.
- 5:35Speaker 1: We do talk a lot about it like generational wealth, um,
- 5:39Speaker 1: and some things that we can do with that, and
- 5:41Speaker 1: just making sure that we are setting up ourselves for
- 5:44Speaker 1: those things that we want in the future, like you know,
- 5:46Speaker 1: having a family, kids, things like that, um. And so
- 5:50Speaker 1: as much as we're excited with that, we we are
- 5:53Speaker 1: taking it slow to make sure that we make the
- 5:56Speaker 1: right choice, um, the smart choice. But yes, but it
- 6:01Speaker 1: is in the works. Very smart, very smart. And then
- 6:06Speaker 1: I'm sorry, but your shirt, what happened? How did you
- 6:09Speaker 1: when did you change? They got hot outside? Palm strings
- 6:13Speaker 1: is a little steamy. So I didn't go to the
- 6:16Speaker 1: Uh wore the palm tree shirt because I thought it
- 6:18Speaker 1: was gonna make me look cool at the airport and
- 6:20Speaker 1: like fit in with the rest of the crowd here. Um,
- 6:22Speaker 1: and I just got called out for it. And uh,
- 6:26Speaker 1: you know it's it's quite the look. I know, you know,
- 6:30Speaker 1: Nate and Michelle, you know, I get this is a
- 6:32Speaker 1: podcast and your personal lives are should be personal to you.
- 6:35Speaker 1: And but you know you're talking to two people here,
- 6:40Speaker 1: one who had a very six best relationship from The
- 6:44Speaker 1: Bachelor that she's made with kids uh as she mentioned
- 6:48Speaker 1: living in Vale with her husband. Uh. Me on the
- 6:50Speaker 1: other hand, did not have a success relationship from The Bachelor,
- 6:53Speaker 1: but in a very successful relationship now. But I also know, um,
- 6:57Speaker 1: even in the midst of the best times after this show,
- 7:00Speaker 1: for me, uh, life gets weird and hard and unexpected,
- 7:04Speaker 1: and people are very nosy, just like I'm being right now,
- 7:07Speaker 1: uh and wondering everything about your business. Have you found
- 7:10Speaker 1: it difficult at all? Um, to navigate a relationship within
- 7:14Speaker 1: this or are you guys finding like some tricks that
- 7:17Speaker 1: you could share with us that have really worked for you?
- 7:20Speaker 1: Thanks for both of us. The biggest thing is that,
- 7:25Speaker 1: you know, everybody wants everything now right like they want
- 7:30Speaker 1: to know what you're doing all of the time, whether
- 7:33Speaker 1: that's they want to know because they want to be
- 7:35Speaker 1: supportive or they want to know because they're waiting for
- 7:38Speaker 1: your relationship to fail, you know. UM. But for us,
- 7:42Speaker 1: it's just Nick and I have really focused on making
- 7:46Speaker 1: sure that we're doing like taking the us their steps
- 7:49Speaker 1: to make sure that we do know each other fully
- 7:50Speaker 1: because it has been really fast, um, and you know,
- 7:54Speaker 1: learning how Nate handles different things versus how I handle
- 7:58Speaker 1: different things, and just really never letting that communication piece disappear,
- 8:04Speaker 1: because that's the biggest thing. And I think both of
- 8:06Speaker 1: us kind of agree that if as long as we're
- 8:08Speaker 1: willing to talk about it and maybe uncomfortable at times,
- 8:13Speaker 1: but as long as we can keep talking about it
- 8:15Speaker 1: and that line of communication and that line of like
- 8:18Speaker 1: truly taking a step back and understanding what the other
- 8:21Speaker 1: person is saying, I feel like that's kind of what's
- 8:23Speaker 1: helped us navigate all of this. Um, and we also
- 8:28Speaker 1: still try to be very private people in our own ways.
- 8:32Speaker 1: But yeah, it's it's we're not used to this still. Um.
- 8:37Speaker 1: I'm not sure if there was ever a point, like
- 8:39Speaker 1: with you guys, where you got used to the attention,
- 8:42Speaker 1: you got used to the fame. But as far as
- 8:46Speaker 1: like the negative attention, that stuff doesn't really affect us good. Yeah,
- 8:55Speaker 1: I know, you never get used to it because there's
- 8:58Speaker 1: a few things and people always are like, you're just
- 9:00Speaker 1: crediting yourself here when I say this, and I need it,
- 9:02Speaker 1: and I actually think it's a healthy mindset for me.
- 9:04Speaker 1: I'm like, I did nothing to deserve this attention. I
- 9:06Speaker 1: went on a dating shows, Like I don't have any
- 9:09Speaker 1: tangible skill sets. I always always say that to people
- 9:12Speaker 1: to like, like my buddies, They'll they'll be they'll be
- 9:15Speaker 1: bugging me like, oh, you're gonna change, You're gonna change.
- 9:17Speaker 1: I'm like, dude, like I don't have any talents. Like
- 9:20Speaker 1: people like me because I was on the TV show.
- 9:21Speaker 1: It's not like I'm like the Weekend and I'm like
- 9:24Speaker 1: the number one, say you're up two. No, I'm just
- 9:27Speaker 1: a dude who ended up on a TV show, like
- 9:29Speaker 1: you know, I will always be just yeah, you know,
- 9:34Speaker 1: just I agree with you, like nothing, Uh, you really
- 9:39Speaker 1: just went on a dating show, you know what I mean,
- 9:40Speaker 1: like keep up ground and don't let it get to
- 9:42Speaker 1: your head, like you know, but it is. It is
- 9:44Speaker 1: kind of cool to like because that's kind of how
- 9:47Speaker 1: I thought about it too. It's just like when you
- 9:48Speaker 1: know people are so excited to see you're like, you know,
- 9:51Speaker 1: we both we both played sports et to track out
- 9:53Speaker 1: of basketball, and like you find it and you worked
- 9:55Speaker 1: for that, and like you know, the spally that's on
- 9:57Speaker 1: you for like that hard work. When you're on a
- 9:59Speaker 1: T show like this, like even more attention and you're like,
- 10:03Speaker 1: i'n't doing well. At the same time, like you stayed
- 10:06Speaker 1: true to who you are and people love you for
- 10:08Speaker 1: who you are. So that's kind of pretty cool too. Yeah. Yeah,
- 10:12Speaker 1: it's it's a good argument. You're right. I mean, like
- 10:14Speaker 1: that's the one thing at night, um that you can
- 10:17Speaker 1: hold onto. It is like, hey, at least I stayed myself.
- 10:20Speaker 1: At least I've tried to do the best I can
- 10:23Speaker 1: with this opportunity that's been handed to me and literally
- 10:25Speaker 1: just handed to me. At least Um, I've tried to
- 10:28Speaker 1: like hold that with appreciation and gratitude, and I do
- 10:31Speaker 1: take pride in that because I do think we've tried
- 10:33Speaker 1: hard and it's oftentimes been the people I've starround myself with.
- 10:36Speaker 1: I was just on a trip to Polm Springs with
- 10:38Speaker 1: my buddies and from high school and we were out
- 10:41Speaker 1: one night and this girl comes up and she has
- 10:43Speaker 1: been and I like had a moment where, you know,
- 10:45Speaker 1: I spent four days with my high school friends and
- 10:47Speaker 1: I was confused on how I knew her and I didn't.
- 10:50Speaker 1: I forgot that like the television show. They're like that
- 10:54Speaker 1: was a weird moment, Like you acted like you had
- 10:56Speaker 1: no clue what was going on it Like you know,
- 10:57Speaker 1: I forget like you do. So yeah, back to you too, though,
- 11:01Speaker 1: UM we do really Uh we should. Best communication is
- 11:05Speaker 1: so key, um during this time because it's so weird,
- 11:08Speaker 1: but you haven't each other to lean on. And that's
- 11:10Speaker 1: important to always understand because nobody's prepped for this. But
- 11:14Speaker 1: Valentine's Day is coming up also, uh and uh it
- 11:18Speaker 1: is a time to celebrate love. Uh. You know, when
- 11:21Speaker 1: you're in love, how are you guys going to spend
- 11:23Speaker 1: Valentine's Day? Do you have any special things that you're
- 11:25Speaker 1: gonna start in, any traditions that make kick in this? Yeah,
- 11:31Speaker 1: I mean I got I got a couple of days,
- 11:32Speaker 1: but obviously can't talk about it, growing some surprises whatnot. Um,
- 11:36Speaker 1: but uh you know, yeah, no, just as long as
- 11:38Speaker 1: we're together, we're thinking about actually going um somewhere for
- 11:42Speaker 1: Valentine's Day or that weekend. So looking forward to that weekend.
- 11:46Speaker 1: So will she be surprised on the somewhere or do
- 11:48Speaker 1: you plan to tell her, uh, the somewhere we're playing together? Yeah?
- 11:55Speaker 1: Do you guys, do either of you like surprises? We
- 11:59Speaker 1: both like surprises. I like doing He's like, never mind, Okay,
- 12:11Speaker 1: I like being I think we might be in the
- 12:13Speaker 1: same boat on this one. I like being the surprise
- 12:15Speaker 1: or like I like being the ones doing the surprise.
- 12:18Speaker 1: I think for both of us it's hard for us
- 12:20Speaker 1: to like receive gifts. Well, okay, you mentioned this. This
- 12:25Speaker 1: makes me think, do you guys know your love language?
- 12:28Speaker 1: Do you know? Yeah? We do? You know that book? Oh?
- 12:34Speaker 1: Was it a show? I feel like we do know
- 12:37Speaker 1: our love languages? There is every all of us. Is
- 12:44Speaker 1: that a good thing? You're a bad thing. A lot
- 12:46Speaker 1: of places you need to hit, right. I feel like, wait,
- 12:53Speaker 1: do you want to tell me mine, I'll tell you
- 12:54Speaker 1: yours or do you want me to do Yeah? Okay,
- 12:58Speaker 1: I feel like yours is quality time and not going
- 13:05Speaker 1: to recheck. Okay, wait, quality. I feel like a lot
- 13:16Speaker 1: of people have to remember about Nate. Okay, I'm not
- 13:21Speaker 1: thinking Okay, okay. Quality time wait, I can't even think
- 13:27Speaker 1: of all of them right now. Okay, So there's quality time, right,
- 13:30Speaker 1: there's I'm not there's gift gimage. No, there's gifts receiving
- 13:34Speaker 1: if it's if it's talking about yours, like what do
- 13:36Speaker 1: you do? Words, words of affirmations of affirmation? Joke? Okay,
- 13:44Speaker 1: quality time never mind, Let's you've got another question. Quality time,
- 13:51Speaker 1: physical touch, that's it? Okay, okay, where's of affirmation? You
- 13:55Speaker 1: don't you don't even know they're good? Accepting compliments? Yeah, mmmm,
- 14:00Speaker 1: that's a that's a good that's an endearing trait though.
- 14:02Speaker 1: I mean, he's a good looking dude, he's he's kind
- 14:05Speaker 1: and if he can't take a compliment, he's like, I
- 14:07Speaker 1: don't I don't deserve That's endearing. Yeah, that is how
- 14:14Speaker 1: Ryan is too. My husband. So it's a good quality.
- 14:19Speaker 1: What would you say, Maday? Yeah, like, are you guys
- 14:27Speaker 1: more there's the puppy? Are you guys more like do
- 14:32Speaker 1: you appreciate a nice hug and a snuggle or a kiss? Like?
- 14:35Speaker 1: How like what's your valent Like on Valentine's there? Are
- 14:38Speaker 1: you wanting like just to snuggle and hug on each other?
- 14:40Speaker 1: Are you more like, hey, let's you know, like a
- 14:49Speaker 1: massive cuddler. Yeah, cudler like I will find every crevice
- 14:55Speaker 1: of his body. You know, I'm a cuddler for sure.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Your cuddler lapsiitter my mom. Still I don't know, I
- 15:13Speaker 1: don't know it his how I was raised or what.
- 15:15Speaker 1: But that's really cute, really cute. Yeah, sometimes you know,
- 15:25Speaker 1: yeah they Jessica used to say, well she still does.
- 15:30Speaker 1: I guess. She says if I just want to get
- 15:32Speaker 1: in your pocket, and I was like please, like I'm
- 15:35Speaker 1: a cuddler, but she just like we'll find I mean
- 15:37Speaker 1: literally somehow watching a movie and she like snuggles in,
- 15:41Speaker 1: snuggles in, and like she like curls up from this
- 15:44Speaker 1: ball that it is so sur body is touching mine
- 15:46Speaker 1: in some way. It's unbelievable. In fact, I find it
- 15:49Speaker 1: very impressive and it happens often. UM's a talent. I
- 15:56Speaker 1: was just going to say that it's a talent talent.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Al Right, guys, another question coming your way. What are
- 16:05Speaker 1: your three favorite traits about each other? I know you're
- 16:08Speaker 1: private and trying to be private, but we'd love for
- 16:11Speaker 1: you to share with our audience three of the favorite
- 16:14Speaker 1: traits about each other. On from Michelle, Um, just like
- 16:19Speaker 1: who she is as a person, especially when me and
- 16:20Speaker 1: my family for the first time, that was really special. UM,
- 16:23Speaker 1: just like she just embraced the entire family, like from
- 16:26Speaker 1: the from the get go, you know, like my family
- 16:28Speaker 1: is very especially like I'm mainly talking about my dad's family,
- 16:31Speaker 1: we're very reserved. You don't really talking about much. We
- 16:34Speaker 1: kind of just go with the flow, very just to
- 16:37Speaker 1: ourselves kind of. I don't know, And yeah, I know
- 16:40Speaker 1: Michelle came in there like a wrecking ball guy. Everybody
- 16:43Speaker 1: in my I remember looking at my step sister in
- 16:46Speaker 1: the middle of like the first day that Michelle was
- 16:49Speaker 1: in Winnipeg, and I mean my stepsister were just looking
- 16:51Speaker 1: at each other like yo, like what's going on? And
- 16:53Speaker 1: we're seeing a whole new side of my dad. A
- 16:56Speaker 1: new side of this side of like everybody, we're just
- 16:58Speaker 1: like this is weird. But yeah, no, she definitely brings
- 17:01Speaker 1: a lot of happiness and joy and excitement that other people.
- 17:05Speaker 1: Um that that's that. I'm honestly that one, that one
- 17:09Speaker 1: hit me in such like a special way that I'm
- 17:11Speaker 1: using that for all three. That's that's just it. No,
- 17:22Speaker 1: it was just it was just such a special like
- 17:24Speaker 1: it was it was only like two weeks ago, so
- 17:25Speaker 1: it's still like really like deer in my mind or
- 17:29Speaker 1: whatever the saying is. So it's just that was that
- 17:31Speaker 1: was just crazy special for me, just because I know
- 17:33Speaker 1: how my family is in there, they're they're not like that.
- 17:35Speaker 1: So how like the same time with my friends, like
- 17:40Speaker 1: this is the first time in Austin. However, how Michelle
- 17:43Speaker 1: like kind of just how my friends, I don't know.
- 17:45Speaker 1: It just seems like Michelle has been friends with my
- 17:47Speaker 1: friends for forever. Like it's it's crazy, it's crazy, it's important. Yeah. Yeah,
- 17:52Speaker 1: I just feel like everybody who is important to him,
- 17:55Speaker 1: they're important to me. And it might be I mean,
- 17:59Speaker 1: I know, like you've known them longer and then I have.
- 18:02Speaker 1: But like I don't know, honestly, why I can't jump
- 18:04Speaker 1: right in so hugger you know, like my family. Well, yeah,
- 18:16Speaker 1: it was fantastic, alright. My three things about Nate would
- 18:24Speaker 1: just be I think the biggest thing is like for
- 18:29Speaker 1: him to be able to look at things in like
- 18:33Speaker 1: such a realistic way that even like there's been times
- 18:36Speaker 1: we're talking about different things that were you know, even
- 18:39Speaker 1: if we disagree, He's able to take a step back
- 18:44Speaker 1: and like actually fully like assessed the situation and then
- 18:48Speaker 1: move forward with that. And I think it seems like
- 18:50Speaker 1: that's a really like weird trade to absolutely love but
- 18:54Speaker 1: but but no, but like when you're in this world,
- 18:56Speaker 1: you can get caught up on so many different things
- 18:58Speaker 1: and so many different emotions, and with like Nate, I
- 19:01Speaker 1: just feel like he's always like consistently at the same spot.
- 19:05Speaker 1: So it's like, you know, if we get in an
- 19:08Speaker 1: argument or if I'm upset, it's like once that arguments done,
- 19:12Speaker 1: like it is like it's not it's not a grudge,
- 19:16Speaker 1: it's not anything like that. And I have I think
- 19:20Speaker 1: that took me and it's still taking me a little
- 19:21Speaker 1: bit to get used to, just because I have been
- 19:23Speaker 1: in relationships where you know, the other person did hold
- 19:27Speaker 1: grudges and health grudges and health grudges, and it's just
- 19:30Speaker 1: like no, once we figured it out, we figured it out.
- 19:32Speaker 1: And Nate's like bouncing around doing his own thing again,
- 19:35Speaker 1: you know. And so I think that that's something that
- 19:38Speaker 1: just keeps the relationship very healthy. And his goofy side,
- 19:42Speaker 1: He's got a big goofy side. I thought I had
- 19:45Speaker 1: a big goofy side, and Nate has a massive goofy side. Um.
- 19:49Speaker 1: And it's just like he's you know, I get home
- 19:53Speaker 1: and he's singing around or he's you know, making up
- 19:57Speaker 1: his own wrap while he's washing wishes and just like
- 20:01Speaker 1: different things that like I don't know, I thought only
- 20:04Speaker 1: I did. And it so it's pretty cool to just
- 20:08Speaker 1: have my little other pieces of weird with me all
- 20:10Speaker 1: the time. Other piece of weird. That's a great comment.
- 20:16Speaker 1: I know weird, um, but I think the last pieces
- 20:21Speaker 1: just like his motivation of you know, his goal setting.
- 20:25Speaker 1: I'm a big gold goal setter. He's very much a
- 20:28Speaker 1: big goal setter as well, um, And just like we
- 20:31Speaker 1: both know that we want to do great things and
- 20:34Speaker 1: we are going to do great things, and he supports me,
- 20:37Speaker 1: I support him, and it's just constantly grind. That's great. Well,
- 20:43Speaker 1: you two are lovely. We're celebrating you too. Um this
- 20:47Speaker 1: Valentine's Day season, we wish you the best. Love and uh,
- 20:50Speaker 1: we know it's hard, we know it's weird at times.
- 20:53Speaker 1: We know it's also beautiful so many times. Um and uh,
- 20:57Speaker 1: if you want to make it work, you can make
- 20:58Speaker 1: it work. And there's a great featurehead. So wishing the best.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Thanks for joining all this Fames podcast. We appreciate you both.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Thank you, bye guys, So Trista. Obviously, today's episode is
- 21:13Speaker 1: full of vascination. Favorite couples Europe a part of that group,
- 21:17Speaker 1: if not the king Queen of that group. Valentine's Day
- 21:20Speaker 1: is coming up before we bring on Noah and Abigail.
- 21:24Speaker 1: What planes do you and Ryan have for Valentine's Day
- 21:26Speaker 1: or do you have any plans at all? Like? Is
- 21:28Speaker 1: Valentine's Day just not something that you guys do. I
- 21:32Speaker 1: didn't really think about it being Valentine's Day until we
- 21:35Speaker 1: started talking about it. I am so engulfed in my
- 21:39Speaker 1: kids activities, so hockey for Max and dance for Blakesley,
- 21:43Speaker 1: and we are constantly going, going, going, going going in
- 21:46Speaker 1: terms of them, so I really the only thing I've
- 21:49Speaker 1: done is I got him a card. That's it. So far.
- 21:53Speaker 1: We haven't planned anything I know that isn't Valentine's Day.
- 21:56Speaker 1: It's got to be on a Is it on on Monday?
- 21:58Speaker 1: I think because I feel like the twelve max as
- 22:03Speaker 1: hockey So uh, and that's how I know what is
- 22:07Speaker 1: going on in my life. Back your schedule, Um, so
- 22:10Speaker 1: I think it's a Monday night. I don't even know
- 22:12Speaker 1: if Rien's working. I have no idea what we're doing,
- 22:15Speaker 1: if we're doing anything. Are you doing anything? Probably not,
- 22:20Speaker 1: So I kind of have this theory that Just and
- 22:23Speaker 1: I should be doing Valentine's Day often. So one thing
- 22:26Speaker 1: we're gonna do is we always around that time of year.
- 22:29Speaker 1: It doesn't hap to be in the day. We go
- 22:30Speaker 1: on a really nice day like at night, and that
- 22:33Speaker 1: we just get away and we have dinner together and
- 22:36Speaker 1: we'll just talk about life. Um and I think that's
- 22:40Speaker 1: the best Valentine's Day. You know. I could get her
- 22:43Speaker 1: a card and I might still just and write something
- 22:46Speaker 1: in it. But one of my favorite things to do
- 22:48Speaker 1: is to leave her notes, like when I leave and
- 22:51Speaker 1: like leave her a note anyways, and so yes, Valentine'sday
- 22:54Speaker 1: is important because I think it's just a good day
- 22:56Speaker 1: to be like, hey, I'm in love, Like this is awesome.
- 22:58Speaker 1: I have a reason to sell whead it. But we
- 23:00Speaker 1: don't always do in the traditional sense, like we don't
- 23:02Speaker 1: always get each other, like you know, and just she's
- 23:06Speaker 1: in she works in skincare. Our house is full of
- 23:08Speaker 1: random gifts from people every day all day. She doesn't
- 23:11Speaker 1: want some other random gifts from me. So so piggybacking
- 23:16Speaker 1: on our last conversation with Michelle and Nate, do you
- 23:19Speaker 1: know her love language? Oh? Yeah, it's physical touching, quality time,
- 23:23Speaker 1: no question. I mean that that girl is a snuggler
- 23:27Speaker 1: and a cuddler, and I mean she is. She's so
- 23:31Speaker 1: good at curling up in a ball on top of
- 23:36Speaker 1: me at every moment of the day. Um r. The
- 23:41Speaker 1: reason the reason I ask is because maybe you know,
- 23:44Speaker 1: for Valentine's Day, you do what her love languages, So
- 23:47Speaker 1: it seems like you're already doing that, and that if
- 23:50Speaker 1: you're going to have quality time, you to go out together,
- 23:53Speaker 1: you you know, actually reconnect or connect if you haven't
- 23:56Speaker 1: if you haven't been together, if you've been together, if
- 23:59Speaker 1: you haven't been out of town or whatever. Um, my
- 24:02Speaker 1: love one of my loved language is probably the top
- 24:05Speaker 1: one is words of affirmation. So Ryan is really really
- 24:08Speaker 1: good about um getting me. I mean obviously that's kind
- 24:12Speaker 1: of one of the big reasons I fell in love
- 24:14Speaker 1: with him. He wrote with poetry. Uh, and he's still
- 24:18Speaker 1: to this day writes me the most incredibly thoughtful cards.
- 24:22Speaker 1: And so that's like a big thing to me is
- 24:26Speaker 1: getting at least a card for any holiday. It doesn't
- 24:29Speaker 1: have to be like some um incredible gift. Although I
- 24:33Speaker 1: love gifts too, but but cards really touch my heart. So, um,
- 24:36Speaker 1: I think just tuning in too. You know your partner's
- 24:40Speaker 1: love language is really important, whether it's Valentine's Day or
- 24:43Speaker 1: every day. You know you're right. Well, let's find out
- 24:46Speaker 1: if no one advocat or celebrating Valentine's Day or what
- 24:49Speaker 1: they do. Um, I think he gives me great advice.
- 24:52Speaker 1: Maybe we'll share with him. Hey, let's bring on Noah
- 24:54Speaker 1: and Abigail a part of Love Is New Year episode.
- 25:07Speaker 1: We have No One Abigail joining the Almost Famous podcast. Yes,
- 25:10Speaker 1: they are part of Vaccination's favorite couples that are joining
- 25:14Speaker 1: us today. No One, Abigail, how are you doing. We're
- 25:18Speaker 1: good good. Yeah, no, I just woke up because he's
- 25:22Speaker 1: usually sleeping during the day because he's working night shifts
- 25:25Speaker 1: at we got to call him out of bed for this. Yeah.
- 25:32Speaker 1: Oh man, that's that's a big deal. Well did we
- 25:35Speaker 1: wake you up or is this about the time you
- 25:36Speaker 1: would wake up? I don't really wake up a little
- 25:39Speaker 1: later because I went to bed. So now it's you
- 25:47Speaker 1: went to bed at nine in the morning. Yeah. Oh
- 25:51Speaker 1: wow wow, So if I look asleep, I might be
- 25:56Speaker 1: a little bit, but I am stopped. Thanks for having
- 25:59Speaker 1: us on. Yeah, thank you so much. Oh my god,
- 26:05Speaker 1: you do a great thank you. Yeah, you're welcome. Well,
- 26:11Speaker 1: this is obviously a Valentine's Day special episode. Uh, you
- 26:16Speaker 1: know you two are spending your time together right right now?
- 26:19Speaker 1: Are you going to be together on Valentine's Day? Do
- 26:21Speaker 1: you have any special plans for this Love Day? Um?
- 26:27Speaker 1: I mean we'll be together for about three or four weeks,
- 26:30Speaker 1: but I think I'm flying back to New York on
- 26:33Speaker 1: Valentine's Day, so we might have to do like a
- 26:35Speaker 1: little early Valentine's Day. Obviously. The correct answer here is
- 26:40Speaker 1: every day is love Day? Been? Do you put it?
- 26:44Speaker 1: You made it easy? There for me. Um, Yeah, she's
- 26:47Speaker 1: been out We're in Huntington's right now, so she's been
- 26:49Speaker 1: out here for a few weeks. We will be going
- 26:52Speaker 1: to Mexico the week before as like little getaway, so
- 26:58Speaker 1: we're gonna count that as a Valentine's Day saying, and
- 27:02Speaker 1: then we'll be Um, I'll be on shift for the
- 27:04Speaker 1: days before Valentine's so we'll be kind of hard to
- 27:06Speaker 1: pull off on Valentine's Day, but we do some fun stuff,
- 27:11Speaker 1: fun stuff planned. Yeah, And how's it going, Like, how
- 27:15Speaker 1: tell us about your relationships and how everything is going. Um,
- 27:19Speaker 1: it's been good. Um. Still doing long distance, so I'm
- 27:23Speaker 1: still based out of New York. Um, but I mean
- 27:26Speaker 1: right now, I have the flexibility so when he's working,
- 27:28Speaker 1: I'm able to fly off to Huntington's. So we spent
- 27:31Speaker 1: a lot of time together. Um, it feels like we
- 27:34Speaker 1: lived together at this point. But still doing distance. I
- 27:37Speaker 1: would say for somebody who is very much a not
- 27:40Speaker 1: long distance person, we're doing great all the time. At
- 27:45Speaker 1: least one person is flying to see the other at
- 27:48Speaker 1: least every every other week. You couldn't have picked a
- 27:52Speaker 1: longer distance from the United States versus New York and Oklahoma.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Then it's just we're just going coast to coast. At
- 28:01Speaker 1: this point, we're gonna really test how far I can get.
- 28:05Speaker 1: I might going down to Mexico, see how far apart
- 28:09Speaker 1: we can go. No, Um, what is you know? When
- 28:14Speaker 1: when I was doing long distance with my now wife,
- 28:17Speaker 1: we had some tricks that made it work, some things
- 28:20Speaker 1: that we stayed consistent. Or do you guys have any
- 28:22Speaker 1: tricks for the two of you continue to make this
- 28:24Speaker 1: relationship work even though you are living on the opposite
- 28:26Speaker 1: side of the country. Um. I wouldn't say it's like
- 28:31Speaker 1: a trick, but I mean we'll do like we'll watch
- 28:34Speaker 1: the same show, Like when we're doing long distant, we'll
- 28:36Speaker 1: make it like a point to lie watch all the
- 28:38Speaker 1: episodes together. So it gives us something to like plan
- 28:41Speaker 1: and look forward to instead of just being my okay,
- 28:44Speaker 1: we're just gonna hop on a call, like we'll try
- 28:45Speaker 1: to talk, and we're doing things like we'll set that
- 28:47Speaker 1: time aside, I like watch our show. Um, do you
- 28:51Speaker 1: have any tricks? Um? We always say good night, even
- 28:54Speaker 1: if yeah, a lot of it's probably obviously with my
- 29:01Speaker 1: schedule being different than hers. Um. Well, at least we
- 29:05Speaker 1: use a show that we'll watch, Um, just because it's
- 29:11Speaker 1: hard for me to be like calling somebody every every
- 29:14Speaker 1: night to talk for two hours every night. I'm not
- 29:17Speaker 1: so much like that. So we find things that, you know,
- 29:20Speaker 1: we can talk as we're watching the show in the background,
- 29:23Speaker 1: or we'll make sure even if I'm on shift or
- 29:25Speaker 1: doing something, we'll still call each other every night. Um.
- 29:30Speaker 1: I don't know about tips and tricks. We just we
- 29:33Speaker 1: both make sure we're putting an effort. I guess it's important.
- 29:38Speaker 1: Definitely have to work on communication for me. So that
- 29:42Speaker 1: was something that we're working on. Yeah, we're both putting it,
- 29:45Speaker 1: putting in, you know, equal effort. What's the show? What
- 29:50Speaker 1: we we gotta know? What shows have you really enjoyed
- 29:53Speaker 1: watching together? Now? So I don't know what happened. Somehow
- 29:56Speaker 1: I missed every show made from like two thousand and
- 29:59Speaker 1: eight to so right now we're watching Game of Thrones
- 30:03Speaker 1: for the first time. Just watch have you seen yellow Stone?
- 30:13Speaker 1: That was our first one that we watched together. So
- 30:16Speaker 1: freaking good. Yeah, it's uh, it's you know what, I've
- 30:23Speaker 1: had a crush I'm Kevin Costner since I was in
- 30:27Speaker 1: my young teen years. So yeah, the show does just
- 30:33Speaker 1: it's perfect for us. Um, well, you know long distance
- 30:37Speaker 1: is hard though, and obviously we've talked about your trip
- 30:41Speaker 1: to Mexico. We've talked about uh, you guys making it work.
- 30:44Speaker 1: Chris and I like asking this question. We just asked
- 30:46Speaker 1: it to Michelle and Nate before you came on. Can
- 30:49Speaker 1: each of you know explained about Abigail? Abigail explained about Noah.
- 30:53Speaker 1: Your favorite traits about each other? Like, if you could
- 30:56Speaker 1: just take this second and say your favorite things about
- 30:59Speaker 1: each other, I think that would really be a special
- 31:01Speaker 1: moment for us. Favorite thing about first? I think you
- 31:06Speaker 1: should go first, all right, I would say favorite thing
- 31:18Speaker 1: would be a two way tie. Is her outlook on
- 31:23Speaker 1: life and she's very funny, so very easy go and
- 31:29Speaker 1: go with the flow, look on the bright side of life. Um,
- 31:34Speaker 1: I think that's very attractive. This is gonna sound crazy,
- 31:38Speaker 1: but she also does call me out on my bs,
- 31:40Speaker 1: which I'm not gonna say is my favorite, but just
- 31:43Speaker 1: keeps me consistent, so able to you know, love life,
- 31:48Speaker 1: go with the flow, have a positive attitude, but still
- 31:51Speaker 1: you know, be able to ground me. I'd say that's
- 31:54Speaker 1: that's probably my favorite love it. What about you? Yeah, bigail,
- 32:00Speaker 1: you're on the spot. Now. I know he kind of
- 32:02Speaker 1: arts of mine because I was gonna say, probably one
- 32:04Speaker 1: of my favorite things is he's just very positive. Um.
- 32:08Speaker 1: He kind of just takes every day um one daytime time,
- 32:11Speaker 1: which is really nice in a relationship. Um. And then
- 32:15Speaker 1: I also think to just it's very easy going with him,
- 32:19Speaker 1: like we I mean, I really just feel like I'm
- 32:21Speaker 1: eating my best friend. It's just really easy. We let
- 32:23Speaker 1: that together. And yeah, we don't take anything too seriously,
- 32:28Speaker 1: which I really like. I think that's so important. I
- 32:31Speaker 1: think that's probably why you guys are successful so far,
- 32:34Speaker 1: is that you are intuitive to how each other is
- 32:39Speaker 1: and you're you have a great outlook on life. At
- 32:42Speaker 1: least you could see that on Bachelor in Paradise when
- 32:45Speaker 1: I watched. You know, I'm a fan. I'm a fan,
- 32:48Speaker 1: so I loved watching you guys know what you're talking
- 32:52Speaker 1: about it but you didn't fight the whole time. Time
- 33:00Speaker 1: got to catch up on your sleep side. Now you
- 33:02Speaker 1: barely sleep now, Yeah, you gotta find your way to sleep,
- 33:06Speaker 1: because come on, waking up four hours five hours after
- 33:09Speaker 1: doing it for this podcast is a big deal to
- 33:12Speaker 1: all of us. Yeah, thank you. Hey, Um, we had
- 33:15Speaker 1: another question for Michelle and Nate, and um, it's something
- 33:18Speaker 1: that I think is important in relationships, especially when you're
- 33:23Speaker 1: first getting started. Not that you guys were just getting started,
- 33:26Speaker 1: but I think early on in your relationship, it's important
- 33:28Speaker 1: to get to know this about each other, and that's
- 33:30Speaker 1: your love languages. Do you guys know about love languages?
- 33:34Speaker 1: Have you heard of that book? I mean a couple
- 33:37Speaker 1: of them actually didn't know what they were until you
- 33:39Speaker 1: want on the show, and then producers were always asking
- 33:42Speaker 1: what they were like so much. So it's something new
- 33:46Speaker 1: for me, but for love languages. Um, so, my I can.
- 33:53Speaker 1: I can tell you that cars are definitely different. That's okay,
- 33:57Speaker 1: That's what I can tell you. Um, And you're like,
- 34:00Speaker 1: I don't know what they are, They're just different. Mine.
- 34:04Speaker 1: Mine kind of pretty much just comes down to, you know,
- 34:08Speaker 1: I don't care so much about the semantics or the
- 34:11Speaker 1: individual thing. It boils down to, like the amount of
- 34:14Speaker 1: effort that I can see is put into it, you know.
- 34:16Speaker 1: So it's not the gift as much as it is
- 34:18Speaker 1: that you thought about a small gift. You know. It's
- 34:20Speaker 1: not the fact that I get five hours a day.
- 34:23Speaker 1: It's the fact that you know, you only had an
- 34:24Speaker 1: hour and gave me twenty minutes or whatever, so mine's
- 34:28Speaker 1: boils down more to the behind, and I feel like,
- 34:31Speaker 1: what would you say? Here's this? Um? I mean, are
- 34:35Speaker 1: you saying nurses like quality time? Quality time? For sure?
- 34:39Speaker 1: Like just do what you can for me. It's like
- 34:43Speaker 1: quality time. I just need. I just need a little bit.
- 34:46Speaker 1: But I don't need you know, it's not like I'm
- 34:47Speaker 1: looking for two hours. Right words of affirmation as I
- 34:55Speaker 1: was going to say, that's what he is. Yeah, I
- 34:58Speaker 1: need words of affirmation, especially during on distance. I think
- 35:00Speaker 1: it just kind of ties in with communication, you knowing,
- 35:04Speaker 1: Am I doing what I can to make you happy?
- 35:07Speaker 1: There anything I can work on? Uh? And obviously quality
- 35:11Speaker 1: time to know what we can so you better make
- 35:14Speaker 1: sure you get her card. Noah, at the very least,
- 35:18Speaker 1: let's working on it. But it was it was a
- 35:22Speaker 1: fun there was It's all over it now. It has
- 35:26Speaker 1: been a fun, um, you know, the journey to kind
- 35:29Speaker 1: of figure out what hers is and me think about
- 35:32Speaker 1: what mine is. Um, you know what I appreciate it
- 35:36Speaker 1: more and what I noticed she appreciate it's more. It
- 35:37Speaker 1: has been a lot of fun and difficulty sometimes but
- 35:41Speaker 1: definitely fun. Yeah, well I think for Valentine's Day and
- 35:45Speaker 1: make sure you remember remember what you just said, both
- 35:48Speaker 1: of you. It's tough. Long distance is hard, Like some
- 35:51Speaker 1: of these things are like sometimes impossibly. You gotta get
- 35:54Speaker 1: creative about how you could satisfy you know, the needs
- 35:57Speaker 1: of others. I get it, and it does seem like
- 36:00Speaker 1: you two are doing an absolutely incredible job at it.
- 36:02Speaker 1: But because you're doing long distance, I'm sure there's some
- 36:05Speaker 1: moments in your relationships so far to stand out too. Um,
- 36:09Speaker 1: do you have any like, as you know we're in
- 36:10Speaker 1: this season of love, do you have any dates that
- 36:13Speaker 1: you've been on together that really like stand out as
- 36:16Speaker 1: some of your favorite dates or just times together favorite dates.
- 36:22Speaker 1: Usually it's Noah that's planning all the dates. He really
- 36:26Speaker 1: likes to take the time to remember different things that
- 36:29Speaker 1: I said, I kind of do like a date night. Um.
- 36:32Speaker 1: There was one time in Oklahoma he put together like
- 36:35Speaker 1: a in his backyard. He has like the strain lights
- 36:38Speaker 1: and he did like a little projector movie. It's really fun.
- 36:42Speaker 1: I am not the best planner. I'm not really I'll
- 36:46Speaker 1: do all. I cook you dinner. Um. I would say
- 36:55Speaker 1: my favorite one was when it was earlier on, we
- 36:59Speaker 1: might have still been a hiding. Um. She was in Oklahoma,
- 37:05Speaker 1: so we couldn't go out to places because we were
- 37:08Speaker 1: still not able to be shown that we were in
- 37:10Speaker 1: a relationship. Um, and my brother has cattle and like
- 37:14Speaker 1: a bunch of land. And we ended up doing I'm
- 37:18Speaker 1: getting to see the sunset, drinking some whisky, watching the
- 37:23Speaker 1: sunset road four wheelers in the rain, uh, had a bonfire,
- 37:29Speaker 1: and then looked at the stars all in one night.
- 37:31Speaker 1: And it was just it wasn't even supposed to be
- 37:34Speaker 1: a date. It was just kind of getting added on.
- 37:35Speaker 1: And then I was like, oh, we're making this a date.
- 37:37Speaker 1: This is gonna be I'm gonna act like I planned it,
- 37:40Speaker 1: but really it was just rolling um and nobody even knew.
- 37:44Speaker 1: Nobody even knew how much fun we're having. We couldn't
- 37:47Speaker 1: post about except for like subtle pictures, you know. But
- 37:51Speaker 1: I thought it was fun because that's like how I
- 37:53Speaker 1: grew up in Oklahoma, and it was like a fun
- 37:55Speaker 1: little you know what I used to always do, just
- 37:59Speaker 1: stay out late, watch the stars, have bonfires things like that.
- 38:03Speaker 1: It was like a little piece of home for me
- 38:04Speaker 1: that you know, I haven't really been on too many
- 38:06Speaker 1: dates in a while, so it was a fun I
- 38:10Speaker 1: don't know what I enjoyed, it was really fun. I mean,
- 38:13Speaker 1: it seems like you could go planning dates for the
- 38:16Speaker 1: Bachelor with that kind of date during their dates, because
- 38:20Speaker 1: I've met people that plan them. But I definitely you're
- 38:26Speaker 1: You've got a romantic soul to you, buddy. We're proud
- 38:28Speaker 1: of you. M final question for you to before we
- 38:33Speaker 1: let you go. Um, if there's one other Bachelor Nation
- 38:37Speaker 1: couple other than Tristan Orion, because we don't want to
- 38:40Speaker 1: make this awkward if you don't say them, so they're
- 38:42Speaker 1: off the table here, Um that you could do a
- 38:45Speaker 1: double date with? Now, who would it be? We are we?
- 38:52Speaker 1: I forgot to mention we are going actually with They
- 38:56Speaker 1: were our favorite couple on Paradise, Joe and Serena. They're awesome.
- 39:03Speaker 1: M hm. So um, okay, if we don't count them,
- 39:07Speaker 1: we do love Joe and Serena. Thomas yeah, back on
- 39:12Speaker 1: Thomas yeah. Um. So most of these couples are like
- 39:18Speaker 1: batching Paradise couples. If it seems like you guys really
- 39:20Speaker 1: bonded with the other couples on during the season, I'm
- 39:23Speaker 1: trying to thank you. Who else? Yeah, I think Caitlin
- 39:28Speaker 1: and Jason might be really fun. Uh, I DM Jason,
- 39:34Speaker 1: and you didn't get back to me, so I probably
- 39:36Speaker 1: just do not Jason, I love it. That's great. I
- 39:45Speaker 1: mean from that comes to mind is, yeah, the ones
- 39:49Speaker 1: for Paradise. We bonded with them a lot. Um. I
- 39:53Speaker 1: don't know the is anyone else out in Huntington's or
- 40:03Speaker 1: in New York? I can't think right now. All Huntington
- 40:08Speaker 1: in New York. I think Tasia lives out here, but
- 40:12Speaker 1: I'm not Yuck. That's great. You should. You should definitely
- 40:20Speaker 1: try that. That's always fun when you run into people
- 40:22Speaker 1: of the past from this show. It's it always goes
- 40:24Speaker 1: well and it's never weird, never never, never, never weird. Well. Hey, um,
- 40:31Speaker 1: the two of you are awesome and a beautiful couple.
- 40:34Speaker 1: Um Noah, thanks again for waking up for this man.
- 40:37Speaker 1: That just means a lot. And Abigail, Yeah, continue to
- 40:41Speaker 1: shine bright. Thanks for joining this episode of Almost Famous Podcasts.

- 41:30Speaker 1: of us go through breakups, be single, confused, waiting, wanting, wondering,
- 41:37Speaker 1: go back into the relationships breakups, and then meet our
- 41:41Speaker 1: special somebody and now we can see actually become a mother. Um,
- 41:46Speaker 1: it's just such a cool time and something to really celebrate.
- 41:49Speaker 1: So hey, we're thinking about you. But Trista, thank you again.
