Fjord (2026) Spoiler Talk | SLAP #82

Screen Love Affair Podcast · Nov 3, 2026 · 1h 4m

Ion, a possible human ad for European cinema, joins Shea to talk Fjord, the Palme d’Or winner about a Romanian family who move to Norway and end up in a fight with the child protection system.

This is a spoiler episode, with a short spoiler-free take at the top. We talk about whether the movie is as balanced as it claims to be, Sebastian Stan’s performance, the cold vs. warm look of the film, the avalanches, the interrogation scenes, the ending, and how close to home it hits for Quebec right now.
