  about

  design
• 1:01
  and
• 1:01
  construction
• 1:02
  in
• 1:02
  the
• 1:02
  world,
• 1:03
  we
• 1:04
  explore
• 1:04
  a
• 1:04
  new
• 1:04
  kind
• 1:05
  of
• 1:05
  door
• 1:05
  that
• 1:06
  vents
• 1:06
  itself.
• 1:07
  So
• 1:07
  we
• 1:08
  have
• 1:08
  developed
• 1:09
  the
• 1:09
  door
• 1:10
  to
• 1:10
  perform
• 1:10
  the
• 1:11
  same
• 1:11
  as
• 1:11
  a
• 1:11
  solid
• 1:12
  corridor
• 1:12
  in
• 1:13
  third
• 1:13

• 1:13
  testing
• 1:14
  for
• 1:15
  applications
• 1:15
  within
• 1:16
  the
• 1:16
  home
• 1:16
  and
• 1:17
  regardless
• 1:17
  of
• 1:17
  thickness
• 1:17
  of
• 1:18
  the
• 1:18
  door
• 1:18
  as
• 1:18
  well.
• 1:19
  So
• 1:19
  whether
• 1:19
  it's
• 1:19
  inch
• 1:20
  and
• 1:20
  three,
• 1:20
  four
• 1:20
  or
• 1:21
  inch
• 1:21
  and
• 1:21
  three,
• 1:21
  eight,
• 1:21
  it's
• 1:22
  going
• 1:22
  to
• 1:22
  perform
• 1:22
  just
• 1:23
  as
• 1:23
  good
• 1:23
  as
• 1:23
  a
• 1:23
  solid
• 1:24
  door
• 1:24
  in
• 1:25
  that
• 1:25
  application.
• 1:26
  Nice.
• 1:27
  Nice.
• 1:27
  And
• 1:28
  that
• 1:28
  is
• 1:28
  so
• 1:28
  cool
• 1:28
  because
• 1:29
  everybody
• 1:30
  knows
• 1:30
  if
• 1:30
  you
• 1:30
  bring
• 1:30
  up
• 1:30
  with
• 1:31
  kids
• 1:31
  or
• 1:31
  you
• 1:31
  had
• 1:32
  those
• 1:32
  hollow
• 1:33
  coat
• 1:33
  doors
• 1:33
  are
• 1:34
  not
• 1:34
  so
• 1:34
  great
• 1:35
  anyway
• 1:35
  and
• 1:35
  so
• 1:35
  many
• 1:35
  builders
• 1:36
  put
• 1:36
  them
• 1:36
  in.

  I
• 2:03
  get
• 2:04

• 2:04
  ventilation
• 2:05
  and
• 2:06
  making
• 2:06
  things
• 2:06
  beautiful,
• 2:07
  many
• 2:08
  times
• 2:08
  those
• 2:09
  two
• 2:09
  worlds
• 2:10
  don't
• 2:10
  fit
• 2:10
  together
• 2:11
  well.
• 2:12
  And
• 2:12
  there's
• 2:12
  a
• 2:12
  ton
• 2:12
  of
• 2:13
  compromises
• 2:13
  that
• 2:13
  you
• 2:14
  have
• 2:14
  to
• 2:14
  make
• 2:14
  just
• 2:15
  to
• 2:15
  make
• 2:15
  things
• 2:15
  function.
• 2:16
  And
• 2:16
  today
• 2:17
  we
• 2:17
  have
• 2:18
  the
• 2:18
  exception
• 2:19
  to
• 2:19
  that
• 2:19
  rule.

• 2:24
  Thanks
• 2:25
  for
• 2:25
  having

• 2:25
  Excited
• 2:26
  to
• 2:26
  talk
• 2:26
  with
• 2:26
  you
• 2:26
  today.
• 2:27
  You
• 2:27
  guys
• 2:28
  have
• 2:28
  come
• 2:28
  up
• 2:29
  with
• 2:30
  this
• 2:31
  beautiful,
• 2:32
  stunning
• 2:33
  solution
• 2:34
  for
• 2:34
  doors
• 2:35
  that
• 2:36
  now
• 2:36
  people
• 2:37
  can
• 2:37
  get
• 2:37
  rid
• 2:37
  of
• 2:38
  those
• 2:38
  louvered
• 2:40
  metal,
• 2:41
  wood
• 2:42
  louvered
• 2:42
  doors
• 2:43
  that
• 2:43
  have
• 2:44
  been
• 2:44
  ruining
• 2:44
  their
• 2:44
  style
• 2:45
  for
• 2:46
  decades.
• 2:47
  That's
• 2:47
  right.
• 2:47
  That
• 2:48
  was
• 2:48
  one
• 2:48
  of
• 2:48
  the
• 2:49
  things
• 2:49
  that
• 2:49
  we
• 2:49
  wanted
• 2:50
  to
• 2:50
  address
• 2:50
  in
• 2:51
  the
• 2:51
  industry.
• 2:51
  We
• 2:51
  felt
• 2:52
  that
• 2:52
  there
• 2:52
  wasn't
• 2:52
  a
• 2:53
  good
• 2:53
  solution
• 2:54
  for
• 2:55
  situations
• 2:55
  where
• 2:55
  you
• 2:56
  need
• 2:56
  ventilation
• 2:56
  through
• 2:57
  a
• 2:57
  door.
• 2:57
  Often
• 2:58
  you're
• 2:58
  looking
• 2:58
  at
• 2:59
  traditional
• 2:59
  slatted
• 3:00
  louvers
• 3:00
  or
• 3:01
  a
• 3:01
  door
• 3:01
  with
• 3:01
  a
• 3:01
  grill
• 3:02
  on
• 3:02
  it.
• 3:02
  And
• 3:03
  those
• 3:03
  were
• 3:03
  all
• 3:03
  poorly
• 3:04
  thought
• 3:04
  out
• 3:04
  solutions
• 3:05
  that
• 3:05
  were
• 3:06
  band
• 3:06
  aid
• 3:06
  fixes,
• 3:07
  so
• 3:07
  to
• 3:07
  speak.
• 3:08
  And
• 3:08
  so
• 3:08
  we
• 3:09
  set
• 3:09
  ourselves
• 3:09
  out
• 3:09
  to
• 3:10
  design
• 3:10
  a
• 3:11
  more
• 3:11
  modern
• 3:11
  ventilated
• 3:12
  door.
• 3:13
  Yeah.
• 3:13
  And
• 3:14
  you
• 3:14
  guys
• 3:14
  came
• 3:14
  up
• 3:14
  with
• 3:14
  something.
• 3:15
  And
• 3:15
  that's
• 3:15
  where
• 3:16
  some
• 3:16
  of
• 3:16
  the
• 3:16
  problems,
• 3:16
  if
• 3:17
  you
• 3:17
  put
• 3:17
  a
• 3:18
  great
• 3:18
  example,
• 3:18
  you.
• 3:18
  Put
• 3:19
  one
• 3:19
  of
• 3:19
  those
• 3:19
  louvered
• 3:19
  doors
• 3:20
  looks
• 3:20
  at
• 3:20
  almost
• 3:21
  a
• 3:21
  Hawaiian
• 3:22
  island
• 3:22
  look
• 3:23
  with
• 3:23
  it.
• 3:23
  Nothing
• 3:23
  wrong
• 3:23
  with
• 3:24
  that,
• 3:24
  but
• 3:24
  it
• 3:24
  doesn't
• 3:24
  fit
• 3:25
  into
• 3:25
  all
• 3:25
  styles.
• 3:26
  But
• 3:26
  the
• 3:26
  problem
• 3:26
  is
• 3:27
  that
• 3:27
  noise
• 3:28
  loves
• 3:28
  to
• 3:29
  go
• 3:29
  through
• 3:29
  that.
• 3:29
  So
• 3:29
  anything
• 3:30
  that's
• 3:30
  happening
• 3:30
  on
• 3:31
  other
• 3:31
  side
• 3:32
  of
• 3:32
  that
• 3:32
  door,
• 3:32
  whether
• 3:33
  it
• 3:33
  be
• 3:33
  a
• 3:34
  Mechanical
• 3:34
  room,
• 3:35
  a
• 3:35
  bathroom,
• 3:36
  an
• 3:36
  office
• 3:37
  that
• 3:37
  needs
• 3:37
  ventilation.
• 3:38
  Whatever
• 3:39
  it
• 3:39
  is
• 3:40
  that
• 3:40
  sounds
• 3:41
  go
• 3:41
  through.
• 3:41
  It
• 3:41
  like
• 3:41
  it's
• 3:42
  paper.
• 3:42
  That's
• 3:43
  exactly
• 3:43
  right.
• 3:44
  If
• 3:44
  you
• 3:44
  can
• 3:44
  see
• 3:45
  through
• 3:45
  the
• 3:45
  door,
• 3:46
  if
• 3:46
  there's
• 3:46
  light
• 3:46
  penetration
• 3:47
  through
• 3:47
  that
• 3:47
  door,
• 3:48
  that
• 3:48
  the
• 3:48
  sound
• 3:48
  privacy
• 3:49
  is
• 3:49
  going
• 3:49
  to
• 3:49
  be
• 3:49
  very
• 3:49
  bad.
• 3:50
  Because
• 3:50
  it's
• 3:50
  no
• 3:50
  different
• 3:51
  than
• 3:51
  me
• 3:51
  speaking
• 3:52
  just
• 3:52
  openly
• 3:53
  with
• 3:53
  no
• 3:54
  acoustic
• 3:54
  separation.
• 3:55
  And
• 3:56
  so
• 3:56
  when
• 3:56
  you.
• 3:56
  When
• 3:56
  you
• 3:56
  see
• 3:57
  that
• 3:57
  when
• 3:57
  homes
• 3:58
  that
• 3:58
  they're.
• 3:59
  The
• 3:59
  acoustic
• 3:59
  privacy
• 4:00
  is
• 4:00
  not
• 4:00
  going
• 4:00
  to
• 4:00
  be
• 4:00
  good
• 4:01
  between
• 4:01
  those
• 4:01
  rooms.
• 4:02
  Yeah.
• 4:02
  How
• 4:02
  did
• 4:03
  you
• 4:03
  guys
• 4:03
  design
• 4:03
  that
• 4:04
  to
• 4:04
  make
• 4:04
  that
• 4:04
  work?
• 4:05
  So
• 4:05
  you
• 4:05
  get
• 4:05
  a
• 4:06
  lot
• 4:06
  of
• 4:06
  airflow,
• 4:07
  but
• 4:07
  also
• 4:07
  control
• 4:08
  sound.
• 4:08
  And
• 4:08
  I
• 4:09
  think
• 4:09
  that's
• 4:09
  where
• 4:09
  the
• 4:09
  genius
• 4:10
  lies
• 4:10
  in
• 4:10
  this
• 4:10
  whole
• 4:10
  process.
• 4:11
  Yeah.
• 4:12
  So
• 4:12
  we
• 4:13
  started
• 4:13
  off
• 4:14
  with
• 4:14
  a
• 4:14
  elegant
• 4:15
  sort
• 4:15
  of
• 4:15
  linear
• 4:16
  ventilation
• 4:17
  slot.
• 4:18
  So
• 4:18
  it
• 4:19
  is
• 4:19
  positioned
• 4:20
  vertically
• 4:21
  so
• 4:21
  that
• 4:21
  it
• 4:21
  takes
• 4:21
  into
• 4:22
  advantage
• 4:22
  the
• 4:23
  door's
• 4:23
  height.
• 4:24
  The
• 4:24
  taller
• 4:24
  the
• 4:24
  door,
• 4:25
  the
• 4:25
  more
• 4:25
  ventilation
• 4:25
  that
• 4:26
  you'll
• 4:26
  get.
• 4:27
  And
• 4:27
  we
• 4:27
  staggered
• 4:28
  that
• 4:28
  ventilation
• 4:28
  slot
• 4:29
  on
• 4:29
  the
• 4:29
  opposing
• 4:30
  side
• 4:30
  of
• 4:30
  the
• 4:30
  face
• 4:31
  so
• 4:31
  that
• 4:31
  you
• 4:31
  couldn't
• 4:32
  see
• 4:32
  through
• 4:32
  the
• 4:32
  door.
• 4:33
  Right.
• 4:33
  So
• 4:33
  you
• 4:33
  don't
• 4:34
  have
• 4:34
  that
• 4:34
  light
• 4:35
  penetrating
• 4:35
  issue
• 4:36
  and
• 4:36
  you
• 4:36
  have
• 4:36
  that
• 4:37
  visual
• 4:37
  privacy.
• 4:38
  And
• 4:38
  then
• 4:39
  the
• 4:39
  third
• 4:39
  thing
• 4:40
  is
• 4:40
  that
• 4:41
  by
• 4:41
  doing
• 4:41
  so,
• 4:42
  we
• 4:42
  create
• 4:43
  a
• 4:43
  air
• 4:43
  channel
• 4:44
  and
• 4:44
  also
• 4:44
  a
• 4:44
  channel
• 4:45
  for
• 4:45
  us
• 4:45
  to
• 4:45
  absorb
• 4:46
  some
• 4:46
  sound.
• 4:47
  And
• 4:47
  so
• 4:47
  we
• 4:47
  utilize
• 4:48
  that
• 4:48
  air
• 4:49
  channel.
• 4:49
  We
• 4:50
  put
• 4:50
  acoustic
• 4:50
  baffling
• 4:51
  in
• 4:51
  it
• 4:51
  and
• 4:52
  acoustic
• 4:52
  absorption.
• 4:53
  And
• 4:54
  that
• 4:54
  really
• 4:54
  helps
• 4:55
  maintain
• 4:55
  the
• 4:56
  sound
• 4:56
  privacy
• 4:57
  of
• 4:57
  that
• 4:57
  door
• 4:58
  compared
• 4:58
  to
• 4:59
  your
• 4:59
  traditional
• 4:59
  louver
• 5:00
  or
• 5:00
  vented
• 5:01
  transfer
• 5:02
  that
• 5:02
  you
• 5:02
  might
• 5:02
  typically
• 5:03
  see.
• 5:03
  So
• 5:04
  that
• 5:04
  louver,
• 5:04
  that
• 5:05
  vented
• 5:05
  channel,
• 5:05
  then
• 5:06
  as
• 5:06
  much
• 5:06
  like
• 5:06
  the
• 5:06
  muffler
• 5:07
  on
• 5:07
  your
• 5:07
  car,
• 5:08
  where
• 5:08
  you've
• 5:08
  got
• 5:09
  noise
• 5:09
  going
• 5:09
  through,
• 5:10
  but
• 5:10
  the
• 5:10
  way
• 5:10
  the
• 5:10
  sound
• 5:11
  bounces
• 5:11
  around
• 5:11
  inside
• 5:12
  there,
• 5:12
  it
• 5:12
  cancels
• 5:13
  itself
• 5:13
  out
• 5:14
  and
• 5:14
  really
• 5:15
  reduces
• 5:15
  it
• 5:15
  on
• 5:15
  the
• 5:15
  other
• 5:16
  side.
• 5:16
  So
• 5:17
  I'm
• 5:17
  glad
• 5:17
  you
• 5:17
  brought
• 5:18
  that
• 5:18
  analogy
• 5:19
  up.
• 5:19
  There
• 5:19
  are
• 5:20
  acoustic
• 5:20
  resonators
• 5:21
  that
• 5:21
  work
• 5:22
  in
• 5:22
  the
• 5:22
  principle
• 5:22
  of
• 5:22
  Helmholtz
• 5:23
  resonation.
• 5:24
  So
• 5:24
  similar
• 5:25
  to
• 5:25
  the
• 5:25
  muffler
• 5:25
  in
• 5:25
  your
• 5:26
  car,
• 5:26
  we
• 5:26
  can
• 5:27
  actually
• 5:27
  tune
• 5:27
  it
• 5:27
  to
• 5:27
  absorb
• 5:28
  a
• 5:28
  specific
• 5:28
  frequency
• 5:29
  or
• 5:29
  a
• 5:30
  band
• 5:30
  of
• 5:30
  frequencies
• 5:30
  of
• 5:31
  sounds,
• 5:31
  and
• 5:31
  we
• 5:32
  tune
• 5:32
  it
• 5:32
  to
• 5:32
  get
• 5:32
  the
• 5:33
  highest
• 5:33
  sound
• 5:33
  transmission
• 5:34
  class
• 5:34
  possible
• 5:35
  for
• 5:36
  the
• 5:36
  door.
• 5:36
  Okay,
• 5:37
  that
• 5:37
  is
• 5:37
  so
• 5:38
  cool.
• 5:38
  That
• 5:38
  is
• 5:39
  so
• 5:39
  next
• 5:39
  generation,
• 5:40
  next
• 5:40
  level.
• 5:41
  Because
• 5:41
  so
• 5:41
  many
• 5:42
  people.
• 5:42
  Oh,
• 5:42
  yeah,
• 5:42
  just
• 5:43
  stop
• 5:43
  sound.
• 5:43
  Oh,
• 5:44
  no,
• 5:45
  it's
• 5:45
  tuned.
• 5:46
  How
• 5:46
  cool
• 5:46
  is
• 5:46
  that?
• 5:47
  That's
• 5:47
  right.
• 5:48
  That
• 5:48
  is
• 5:48
  awesome.
• 5:49
  So
• 5:49
  how
• 5:49
  much
• 5:49
  air
• 5:50
  does
• 5:50
  a.
• 5:50
  Of
• 5:50
  course,
• 5:50
  door
• 5:51
  size
• 5:51
  has
• 5:51
  everything
• 5:51
  to
• 5:52
  do
• 5:52
  with
• 5:52
  it,
• 5:52
  but
• 5:52
  how
• 5:52
  much
• 5:53
  do
• 5:53
  you
• 5:54
  on
• 5:54
  average
• 5:55
  with
• 5:55
  a
• 5:55
  typical
• 5:56
  interior
• 5:56
  door
• 5:56
  would
• 5:57
  you
• 5:57
  see
• 5:57
  with
• 5:57
  that
• 5:57
  as
• 5:58
  far
• 5:58
  as
• 5:58
  like
• 5:58
  CFM
• 5:59
  through
• 5:59
  that
• 5:59
  door?
• 6:00
  So
• 6:00
  your
• 6:00
  typical
• 6:00
  door
• 6:01
  would
• 6:01
  be
• 6:01
  about
• 6:01
  a
• 6:01
  6,
• 6:02
  8
• 6:02
  height.
• 6:02
  6ft,
• 6:03
  8
• 6:03
  inches.
• 6:04
  And
• 6:04
  so
• 6:04
  that
• 6:05
  would
• 6:05
  give
• 6:05
  you
• 6:06
  an
• 6:06
  equivalent
• 6:07
  area
• 6:07
  opening.
• 6:08
  So
• 6:08
  how
• 6:08
  big
• 6:09
  of
• 6:09
  a
• 6:09
  hole
• 6:09
  of
• 6:10
  12
• 6:10
  by
• 6:10
  12
• 6:11
  square
• 6:12
  inches,
• 6:13
  so
• 6:13
  you.
• 6:13
  Can
• 6:13
  move
• 6:14
  a
• 6:14
  ton
• 6:14
  of
• 6:14
  air
• 6:14
  through
• 6:15
  that.
• 6:15
  So
• 6:15
  if
• 6:15
  you
• 6:15
  have
• 6:16
  a
• 6:16
  bathroom,
• 6:17
  for
• 6:18
  instance,
• 6:18
  and
• 6:19
  so
• 6:19
  you
• 6:19
  get
• 6:19
  the
• 6:20
  sound
• 6:20
  transmission
• 6:20
  and
• 6:21
  you
• 6:21
  get
• 6:21
  the
• 6:21
  airflow
• 6:22
  because.
• 6:23
  Great
• 6:23
  example.
• 6:23
  I'm
• 6:24
  getting
• 6:24
  ready
• 6:24
  to
• 6:24
  do
• 6:24
  the
• 6:24
  project
• 6:25
  at
• 6:25
  my
• 6:25
  house
• 6:25
  and
• 6:26
  this
• 6:26
  is
• 6:26
  why
• 6:26
  you
• 6:26
  guys
• 6:26
  are
• 6:27
  going
• 6:27
  in
• 6:27
  my
• 6:27
  house
• 6:28
  is
• 6:28
  I
• 6:29
  have
• 6:29
  that
• 6:29
  common
• 6:30
  problem.
• 6:30
  I
• 6:31
  have
• 6:31
  a
• 6:31
  bathroom
• 6:31
  door
• 6:32
  that
• 6:33
  with
• 6:33
  110cfm
• 6:35
  bath
• 6:35
  fan.
• 6:36
  Cause
• 6:36
  I
• 6:36
  have
• 6:36
  a
• 6:36
  steam
• 6:36
  shower
• 6:37
  in
• 6:37
  there.
• 6:37
  The
• 6:38
  problem
• 6:38
  is,
• 6:38
  is
• 6:39
  my
• 6:39
  vanity.
• 6:39
  It's
• 6:40
  a
• 6:40
  1970s
• 6:41
  house.
• 6:41
  And
• 6:41
  this
• 6:42
  is
• 6:42
  a
• 6:42
  great
• 6:42
  case
• 6:42
  you
• 6:43
  study
• 6:43
  for
• 6:43
  this
• 6:44
  is
• 6:44
  that
• 6:44
  when
• 6:45
  I
• 6:45
  stand
• 6:45
  in
• 6:45
  front
• 6:45
  of
• 6:45
  the
• 6:46
  vanity
• 6:46
  on
• 6:47
  my
• 6:47
  side
• 6:47
  of
• 6:47
  the
• 6:47
  bathroom,
• 6:48
  I'm
• 6:48
  right.
• 6:48
  Next
• 6:48
  to
• 6:49
  the
• 6:49
  door.
• 6:49
  So
• 6:50
  what
• 6:50
  happens
• 6:50
  is
• 6:51
  when
• 6:51
  I
• 6:51
  have
• 6:51
  the
• 6:51
  bath
• 6:51
  fan
• 6:52
  on
• 6:52
  there,
• 6:52
  which
• 6:52
  should.
• 6:52
  Be
• 6:53
  on
• 6:53
  there
• 6:53
  while
• 6:53
  I'm
• 6:53
  in
• 6:53
  there.
• 6:54
  To
• 6:54
  get
• 6:54
  the
• 6:54
  steam
• 6:54
  and
• 6:55
  everything
• 6:55
  out.
• 6:55
  For
• 6:55
  the
• 6:55
  shower,
• 6:56
  my
• 6:56
  heated
• 6:57
  tile
• 6:57
  floor,
• 6:58
  because
• 6:58
  that
• 6:58
  is
• 6:58
  where
• 6:59
  the
• 6:59
  air
• 6:59
  is.
• 6:59
  Coming
• 6:59
  in,
• 7:00
  is
• 7:00
  cold
• 7:01
  there
• 7:01
  because
• 7:01
  I'm
• 7:02
  heating
• 7:02
  the
• 7:02
  air
• 7:02
  with
• 7:03
  it,
• 7:03
  it's
• 7:03
  pre
• 7:04
  cooling
• 7:04
  it.
• 7:05
  So
• 7:05
  now
• 7:06
  I
• 7:06
  can
• 7:06
  have
• 7:06
  that
• 7:06
  door
• 7:07
  be
• 7:07
  a
• 7:07
  little
• 7:07
  bit
• 7:08
  longer.
• 7:09
  So
• 7:09
  I
• 7:09
  don't
• 7:10
  have
• 7:10
  my
• 7:10
  primary
• 7:11
  air
• 7:11
  coming
• 7:11
  under
• 7:12
  the
• 7:12
  door.
• 7:13
  Now
• 7:13
  it's
• 7:13
  off
• 7:13
  coming
• 7:14
  in
• 7:14
  equally
• 7:14
  and
• 7:14
  I'm
• 7:15
  going
• 7:15
  to
• 7:15
  get
• 7:15
  better
• 7:15
  airflow
• 7:16
  through
• 7:16
  that.
• 7:16
  Exactly
• 7:17
  right.
• 7:17
  You're
• 7:17
  going
• 7:17
  to
• 7:17
  allow
• 7:18
  that
• 7:18
  bathroom
• 7:18
  fan
• 7:19
  to
• 7:19
  operate
• 7:19
  more
• 7:20
  effectively.
• 7:20
  If
• 7:21
  you
• 7:21
  don't
• 7:21
  provide
• 7:21
  that
• 7:22
  fan
• 7:22
  with
• 7:22
  enough
• 7:22
  ventilation,
• 7:24
  what's
• 7:24
  going
• 7:24
  to
• 7:25
  happen
• 7:25
  is
• 7:25
  that
• 7:25
  the
• 7:25
  air
• 7:26
  is
• 7:26
  going
• 7:26
  to
• 7:26
  try
• 7:26
  to
• 7:26
  infiltrate
• 7:27
  through
• 7:27
  all
• 7:27
  the
• 7:27
  gaps
• 7:27
  and
• 7:28
  cracks
• 7:28
  in
• 7:28
  and
• 7:29
  around
• 7:29
  the
• 7:29
  door
• 7:29
  through
• 7:29
  the
• 7:30
  undercut,
• 7:30
  like
• 7:30
  you
• 7:30
  said,
• 7:31
  even
• 7:31
  through
• 7:31
  the
• 7:32
  outlets
• 7:32
  that
• 7:32
  are
• 7:33
  present
• 7:33
  inside
• 7:34
  the
• 7:34
  room.
• 7:34
  And
• 7:35
  so
• 7:35
  with
• 7:36
  our
• 7:36
  solution,
• 7:37
  you're
• 7:37
  really
• 7:37
  going
• 7:37
  to
• 7:37
  get
• 7:38
  all
• 7:38
  the
• 7:38
  zones
• 7:38
  of
• 7:38
  air
• 7:39
  stratification
• 7:39
  as
• 7:39
  well
• 7:40
  because
• 7:40
  it's
• 7:40
  a
• 7:40
  vertical
• 7:41
  slot.
• 7:41
  So
• 7:42
  you're
• 7:42
  ventilating
• 7:42
  the
• 7:43
  whole
• 7:43
  space
• 7:43
  rather
• 7:43
  than
• 7:44
  just
• 7:44
  from
• 7:44
  the
• 7:44
  bottom
• 7:45
  of
• 7:45
  the
• 7:46
  door.
• 7:46
  And
• 7:47
  it's
• 7:47
  going
• 7:47
  to
• 7:47
  also
• 7:47
  save
• 7:47
  me.
• 7:48
  On
• 7:48
  electricity
• 7:48
  because
• 7:49
  guess
• 7:49
  what?
• 7:50
  That
• 7:50
  sensor
• 7:50
  is
• 7:51
  sensing
• 7:51
  that
• 7:52
  I
• 7:52
  have
• 7:52
  a
• 7:52
  cold
• 7:53
  spot
• 7:53
  in
• 7:53
  the
• 7:53
  floor
• 7:53
  over
• 7:54
  there.
• 7:54
  So
• 7:54
  it's
• 7:55
  turning
• 7:55
  on
• 7:55
  the
• 7:55
  heat.
• 7:55
  And
• 7:56
  so
• 7:56
  I've
• 7:56
  got
• 7:56
  this
• 7:56
  very
• 7:57
  uneven
• 7:58
  floor
• 7:58
  temperature
• 7:58
  in
• 7:58
  the
• 7:59
  room
• 7:59
  because
• 7:59
  of
• 7:59
  the
• 7:59
  heated
• 7:59
  tile.
• 8:00
  And
• 8:01
  so
• 8:01
  I
• 8:01
  realized
• 8:01
  that,
• 8:02
  wow,
• 8:02
  this
• 8:02
  is
• 8:02
  also
• 8:03
  costing
• 8:03
  me
• 8:03
  money
• 8:04
  in
• 8:04
  my
• 8:04
  electricity
• 8:05
  use
• 8:05
  because
• 8:06
  it's
• 8:06
  trying
• 8:06
  to
• 8:06
  compensate
• 8:07
  for
• 8:07
  that
• 8:07
  error.
• 8:08
  Well,
• 8:08
  if
• 8:08
  I'm
• 8:09
  blowing
• 8:09
  out
• 8:09
  100
• 8:10
  CFM,
• 8:10
  I'm
• 8:10
  bringing
• 8:10

  CFM.
• 8:11
  It's
• 8:12
  got
• 8:12
  to
• 8:12
  come
• 8:12
  from
• 8:12
  someplace.
• 8:13
  So
• 8:13
  I'm
• 8:13
  super
• 8:13
  cooling
• 8:14
  my
• 8:14
  floor
• 8:14
  there.
• 8:15
  Now
• 8:15
  it's
• 8:15
  going
• 8:15
  to
• 8:16
  bring
• 8:16
  it
• 8:16
  up
• 8:16
  and
• 8:16
  it's
• 8:16
  going
• 8:17
  to
• 8:17
  be
• 8:17
  a
• 8:17
  much
• 8:17
  better
• 8:17
  airflow
• 8:17
  situation.
• 8:18
  Great
• 8:19
  point.
• 8:19
  That's
• 8:19
  one
• 8:20
  that
• 8:20
  I
• 8:20
  haven't
• 8:20
  heard
• 8:20
  of
• 8:20
  yet,
• 8:21
  but
• 8:21
  I'm
• 8:21
  glad
• 8:21
  you
• 8:21
  brought
• 8:22
  that
• 8:22
  up
• 8:22
  because
• 8:22
  that's
• 8:23
  a
• 8:23
  selling
• 8:23
  feature
• 8:23
  for
• 8:24
  us
• 8:24
  as
• 8:24
  well.
• 8:25
  Yeah,
• 8:25
  so
• 8:26
  it's
• 8:26
  one
• 8:26
  of
• 8:26
  those
• 8:27
  things.
• 8:27
  And
• 8:27
  then
• 8:27
  when
• 8:28
  you
• 8:28
  and
• 8:28
  I
• 8:28
  talked
• 8:28
  about
• 8:28
  for
• 8:29
  the
• 8:29
  television
• 8:29
  show,
• 8:29
  the
• 8:30
  first
• 8:30
  time
• 8:30
  we
• 8:30
  chatted,
• 8:31
  I
• 8:31
  was
• 8:31
  like,
• 8:31
  this
• 8:32
  is
• 8:32
  brilliant.
• 8:32
  And
• 8:33
  I've
• 8:33
  been
• 8:33
  showing
• 8:34
  some
• 8:34
  architects
• 8:35
  and
• 8:35
  stuff
• 8:35
  in
• 8:35
  the
• 8:35
  area
• 8:36
  here
• 8:36
  and
• 8:36
  designers,
• 8:37
  and
• 8:37
  they
• 8:37
  had
• 8:37
  not
• 8:37
  seen
• 8:38
  it
• 8:38
  before.
• 8:38
  And
• 8:38
  I'm
• 8:38
  like,
• 8:39
  here's
• 8:39
  the
• 8:40
  perfect
• 8:40
  use
• 8:40
  for
• 8:40
  that.
• 8:41
  And
• 8:41
  now,
• 8:42
  of
• 8:42
  course,
• 8:42
  we've
• 8:42
  got
• 8:42
  people.
• 8:43
  With,
• 8:44
  with
• 8:44
  utility
• 8:45
  rooms
• 8:45
  and
• 8:45
  people
• 8:45
  are
• 8:46
  putting
• 8:46
  in
• 8:47
  heat
• 8:47
  pump
• 8:47
  water
• 8:47
  heaters
• 8:48
  and
• 8:48
  you
• 8:48
  have
• 8:48
  to
• 8:48
  have
• 8:49
  ventilation
• 8:49
  for
• 8:49
  this.
• 8:50
  And
• 8:51
  many
• 8:51
  times
• 8:51
  that
• 8:51
  little
• 8:52
  utility
• 8:52
  closet
• 8:53
  in
• 8:53
  the
• 8:53
  basement
• 8:54
  or
• 8:54
  in
• 8:54
  a
• 8:54
  garage
• 8:55
  or
• 8:55
  something
• 8:55
  like
• 8:55
  that,
• 8:56
  they've
• 8:56
  got
• 8:56
  this
• 8:57
  heat
• 8:57
  pump
• 8:58
  water
• 8:58
  heater
• 8:58
  that's
• 8:58
  going
• 8:58
  to
• 8:59
  save
• 8:59
  them
• 8:59
  a
• 8:59
  lot
• 8:59
  of
• 8:59
  money.
• 9:00
  But
• 9:00
  they
• 9:00
  need
• 9:00
  to
• 9:01
  come
• 9:01
  up
• 9:01
  with
• 9:01
  a
• 9:01
  ventilation
• 9:02
  solution
• 9:02
  because
• 9:02
  it's
• 9:03
  drawing
• 9:03
  in
• 9:04
  air
• 9:04
  and
• 9:04
  of
• 9:04
  course
• 9:04
  it's
• 9:05
  cooling
• 9:05
  the
• 9:05
  air
• 9:05
  in
• 9:06
  that
• 9:06
  space
• 9:06
  because
• 9:06
  it's
• 9:06
  pulling
• 9:07
  the
• 9:07
  heat
• 9:07
  out
• 9:07
  of
• 9:07
  it.
• 9:07
  That's
• 9:08
  exactly
• 9:08
  right.
• 9:08
  We
• 9:09
  hear
• 9:09
  this
• 9:09
  a
• 9:09
  lot
• 9:09
  with
• 9:10
  architects
• 9:10
  and
• 9:10
  designers
• 9:11
  that
• 9:11
  we
• 9:11
  work
• 9:11
  with.
• 9:13
  Often
• 9:13
  they're
• 9:13
  commenting
• 9:14
  on
• 9:14
  how,
• 9:15
  oh,
• 9:15
  I
• 9:15
  wish
• 9:15
  I
• 9:15
  had
• 9:16
  known
• 9:16
  about
• 9:16
  your
• 9:16
  product
• 9:16
  earlier.
• 9:17
  We
• 9:17
  could
• 9:17
  have
• 9:17
  used
• 9:17
  it
• 9:18
  in
• 9:18
  a
• 9:18
  recent
• 9:18
  renovation
• 9:19
  or
• 9:19
  a
• 9:19
  new
• 9:19
  build.
• 9:20
  But
• 9:20
  you're
• 9:20
  absolutely
• 9:21
  right.
• 9:21
  The
• 9:21
  amount
• 9:21
  of
• 9:21
  technology
• 9:22
  that
• 9:22
  we're
• 9:23
  putting
• 9:23
  into
• 9:23
  our
• 9:23
  homes
• 9:24
  now
• 9:24
  with
• 9:24
  heat
• 9:24
  pump,
• 9:25
  water
• 9:25
  closet
• 9:26
  heaters,
• 9:26
  heat
• 9:27
  pump,
• 9:27
  ventless
• 9:27
  dryers,
• 9:28
  all
• 9:28
  that
• 9:28
  technology
• 9:29
  that's
• 9:29
  crammed
• 9:29
  into
• 9:30
  our
• 9:30
  homes
• 9:31
  requires
• 9:31
  ventilation.
• 9:32
  And
• 9:33
  not
• 9:33
  only
• 9:33
  ventilation,
• 9:33
  but
• 9:34
  acoustics
• 9:34
  as
• 9:35
  well.
• 9:35
  So
• 9:35
  in
• 9:35
  the
• 9:35
  case
• 9:35
  of
• 9:36
  the
• 9:36
  water
• 9:37
  heater,
• 9:37
  you've
• 9:37
  got
• 9:37
  a
• 9:37
  compressor
• 9:38
  that's
• 9:39
  going
• 9:39
  on
• 9:39
  and
• 9:39
  off.
• 9:40
  And
• 9:41
  we've
• 9:41
  worked
• 9:41
  with
• 9:42
  architects
• 9:42
  and
• 9:43
  acquisitions
• 9:43
  as
• 9:44
  well
• 9:44
  even
• 9:44
  to
• 9:45
  address
• 9:45
  these
• 9:45
  problems.
• 9:46
  It
• 9:46
  seems
• 9:46
  to
• 9:47
  be
• 9:47
  a
• 9:47
  gap
• 9:48
  that
• 9:48
  these
• 9:49
  manufacturers
• 9:50
  aren't
• 9:50
  understanding
• 9:51
  because
• 9:52
  when
• 9:52
  they
• 9:52
  come
• 9:52
  up
• 9:52
  with
• 9:53
  the
• 9:54
  solution
• 9:54
  to
• 9:54
  ventilate
• 9:55
  those
• 9:55
  spaces,
• 9:56
  they're
• 9:56
  simply
• 9:57
  just
• 9:57
  going
• 9:57
  to
• 9:57
  say,
• 9:57
  cut
• 9:58
  a
• 9:58
  hole
• 9:58
  in
• 9:58
  the
• 9:58
  door
• 9:59
  or
• 9:59
  put
• 10:00
  a
• 10:00
  vent
• 10:00
  in
• 10:00
  the
• 10:00
  wall.
• 10:01
  And
• 10:01
  so
• 10:02
  those
• 10:02
  aren't
• 10:03
  really
• 10:03
  compelling
• 10:04
  solutions.
• 10:05
  And
• 10:05
  we
• 10:05
  like
• 10:05
  to
• 10:05
  do
• 10:06
  things
• 10:06
  differently
• 10:06
  here
• 10:06
  at
• 10:07
  Vanner.
• 10:07
  Yeah,
• 10:08
  you
• 10:08
  guys
• 10:08
  do
• 10:08
  such
• 10:08
  a
• 10:08
  great
• 10:09
  job
• 10:09
  with
• 10:09
  that.
• 10:10
  And
• 10:10
  now
• 10:10
  you're
• 10:10
  seeing
• 10:11
  older
• 10:11
  homes
• 10:11
  getting
• 10:12
  converted
• 10:12
  over
• 10:13
  to
• 10:13
  mini
• 10:13
  split
• 10:13
  heat
• 10:14
  pumps
• 10:14
  where
• 10:14
  maybe
• 10:15
  they
• 10:15
  had
• 10:15
  wall
• 10:15
  heat,
• 10:16
  for.
• 10:16
  Instance,
• 10:16
  and
• 10:16
  they're
• 10:17
  don't
• 10:17
  change
• 10:17
  that
• 10:17
  dial
• 10:18
  around
• 10:18
  the
• 10:18
  house.
• 10:18
  We'll
• 10:18
  be
• 10:18
  right
• 10:19
  back
• 10:19
  with
• 10:19
  Vic
• 10:19
  from
• 10:20
  Vanare
• 10:20
  Doors.
• 10:21
  We're
• 10:21
  gonna
• 10:21
  talk
• 10:21
  ventilation
• 10:22
  indoors
• 10:23
  without
• 10:24
  that
• 10:24
  ugly
• 10:24
  grill.
• 10:26
  Why,
• 10:27
  in
• 10:28
  a
• 10:28
  world
• 10:28
  of
• 10:29
  ugly
• 10:30
  faces.
• 10:33
  Should
• 10:34
  I
• 10:35
  be
• 10:36
  allowed
• 10:37
  to
• 10:37
  be
• 10:38
  so
• 10:38
  hot.
• 12:11
  So
• 12:13
  many
• 12:14
  people
• 10:45
  without.
• 12:26
  Welcome
• 12:26
  back
• 12:26
  to
• 12:27
  the
• 12:27
  around
• 12:27
  the
• 12:27
  house
• 12:27
  show
• 12:27
  the
• 12:27
  next
• 12:28
  generation
• 12:28
  of
• 12:28
  home
• 12:28
  improvement.
• 12:29
  Thanks
• 12:29
  for
• 12:29
  joining
• 12:30
  me
• 12:30
  today.
• 12:30
  I'm
• 12:30
  Eric
• 12:30
  G.
• 12:31
  We've
• 12:31
  been
• 12:32
  talking
• 12:32
  with
• 12:32
  my
• 12:32
  buddy
• 12:33
  Vic
• 12:33
  from
• 12:33
  Van
• 12:34
  Air
• 12:34
  Doors
• 12:34
  about
• 12:35
  a
• 12:35
  cool
• 12:35
  architectural
• 12:36
  door
• 12:37
  that
• 12:37
  lets
• 12:37
  you
• 12:37
  move
• 12:38
  air
• 12:38
  without
• 12:38
  those
• 12:38
  ugly
• 12:39
  louvers
• 12:40
  or
• 12:40
  grills.
• 12:41
  But
• 12:41
  first,
• 12:41
  this
• 12:41
  segment
• 12:42
  is
• 12:42
  brought
• 12:42
  to
• 12:42
  you
• 12:42
  by
• 12:42
  our
• 12:42
  friends
• 12:43
  over
• 12:43
  at
• 12:43
  Monument
• 12:44
  Grills.
• 12:44
  If
• 12:44
  you're
• 12:44
  looking
• 12:45
  for
• 12:45
  a
• 12:45
  great
• 12:45
  grill
• 12:46
  for
• 12:46
  this
• 12:47
  holiday
• 12:47
  season,
• 12:47
  it's
• 12:48
  time
• 12:48
  to
• 12:48
  upgrade
• 12:48
  yours.
• 12:49
  And
• 12:49
  they're
• 12:49
  all
• 12:49
  900
• 12:50
  bucks
• 12:50
  or
• 12:50
  less.
• 12:51
  That's
• 12:52
  the
• 12:52
  cool
• 12:52
  thing.
• 12:52
  Check
• 12:52
  them
• 12:52
  out@monumentgrills.com
• 12:55
  maybe
• 12:55
  it's
• 12:56
  time
• 12:56
  for
• 12:56
  that
• 12:56
  upgrade.
• 12:57
  Now
• 12:57
  let's
• 12:57
  get
• 12:58
  back
• 12:58
  to
• 12:58
  Vic
• 12:58
  and
• 12:59
  let's
• 12:59
  talk
• 12:59
  doors.
• 13:00
  And
• 13:00
  now
• 13:00
  you're
• 13:00
  seeing
• 13:01
  older
• 13:01
  homes
• 13:02
  getting
• 13:02
  converted
• 13:02
  over
• 13:03
  to
• 13:03
  mini
• 13:03
  split
• 13:04
  heat
• 13:04
  pumps
• 13:04
  where
• 13:04
  maybe
• 13:05
  they
• 13:05
  had
• 13:05
  wall
• 13:06
  heat,
• 13:06
  for
• 13:06
  instance,
• 13:06
  and
• 13:07
  they're
• 13:07
  really
• 13:07
  wanting
• 13:08
  to
• 13:08
  get
• 13:08
  better
• 13:08
  control
• 13:09
  of
• 13:09
  the
• 13:09
  air.
• 13:09
  But
• 13:10
  as
• 13:10
  we
• 13:10
  know
• 13:10
  with
• 13:10
  mini
• 13:10
  split
• 13:11
  heat
• 13:11
  pumps,
• 13:11
  we're
• 13:12
  putting
• 13:12
  those
• 13:12
  heads
• 13:12
  in
• 13:13
  in
• 13:13
  two
• 13:14
  or
• 13:14
  three
• 13:14
  rooms
• 13:14
  in
• 13:15
  a
• 13:15
  house.
• 13:15
  And
• 13:16
  then
• 13:16
  we're
• 13:16
  just
• 13:16
  letting
• 13:17
  kind
• 13:17
  of
• 13:17
  mother
• 13:17
  nature
• 13:18
  balance
• 13:19
  things
• 13:19
  out
• 13:19
  within
• 13:19
  the
• 13:20
  house.
• 13:20
  But
• 13:20
  if
• 13:20
  you've
• 13:20
  got
• 13:21
  a
• 13:21
  mini
• 13:21
  split
• 13:21
  split
• 13:22
  heat
• 13:22
  pump
• 13:23
  head
• 13:23
  that's
• 13:23
  out
• 13:23
  in
• 13:23
  the
• 13:23
  hallway
• 13:24
  and
• 13:24
  you've
• 13:25
  got
• 13:25
  maybe
• 13:25
  three
• 13:25
  bedrooms
• 13:26
  back
• 13:26
  there,
• 13:27
  you've
• 13:27
  got
• 13:27
  an
• 13:27
  issue
• 13:28
  there
• 13:28
  because
• 13:28
  now
• 13:29
  when
• 13:29
  you
• 13:29
  shut
• 13:29
  the
• 13:29
  door
• 13:29
  at
• 13:29
  night,
• 13:30
  when
• 13:30
  you
• 13:30
  go
• 13:30
  to
• 13:30
  bed,
• 13:31
  you
• 13:31
  have
• 13:31
  really
• 13:32
  not
• 13:32
  a
• 13:32
  lot
• 13:32
  of
• 13:32
  ventilation,
• 13:33
  especially
• 13:33
  if
• 13:33
  there's
• 13:34
  carpet
• 13:34
  or
• 13:34
  stuff,
• 13:35
  there's
• 13:35
  really
• 13:35
  not
• 13:35
  much
• 13:36
  going
• 13:36
  back
• 13:36
  into
• 13:36
  those
• 13:37
  bedrooms.
• 13:37
  And
• 13:37
  this
• 13:37
  is
• 13:38
  a
• 13:38
  great
• 13:38
  solution
• 13:38
  for
• 13:38
  that.
• 13:39
  Yeah,
• 13:39
  any.
• 13:40
  Anytime
• 13:41
  that
• 13:41
  we
• 13:41
  can
• 13:41
  provide
• 13:42
  more
• 13:42
  cross
• 13:42
  ventilation
• 13:43
  between
• 13:43
  the
• 13:43
  rooms
• 13:44
  is
• 13:44
  a
• 13:44
  positive
• 13:45
  thing.
• 13:45
  When
• 13:45
  we
• 13:46
  see
• 13:46
  big
• 13:47
  differences
• 13:47
  in
• 13:48
  pressure
• 13:48
  differentials
• 13:49
  across
• 13:49
  different
• 13:50
  rooms
• 13:50
  across
• 13:50
  the
• 13:50
  floor,
• 13:51
  that
• 13:52
  leads
• 13:52
  to
• 13:52
  the
• 13:53
  heat.
• 13:54
  That
• 13:54
  or
• 13:54
  the
• 13:54
  cooling
• 13:54
  that
• 13:55
  you've
• 13:55
  paid
• 13:55
  for
• 13:56
  is
• 13:56
  going
• 13:56
  to
• 13:56
  leak
• 13:56
  out
• 13:57
  the
• 13:57
  building
• 13:57
  envelope.
• 13:58
  Right.
• 13:58
  So
• 13:58
  if
• 13:58
  you're
• 13:58
  balancing
• 13:59
  it
• 14:00
  within
• 14:00
  the
• 14:00
  building
• 14:00
  envelope,
• 14:01
  it's
• 14:02
  just
• 14:02
  going
• 14:02
  to
• 14:02
  leak
• 14:02
  out.
• 14:03
  And
• 14:03
  you're
• 14:03
  paying
• 14:04
  for
• 14:04
  your
• 14:04
  money
• 14:05
  to
• 14:05
  be
• 14:05
  heated
• 14:06
  or
• 14:06
  cooled
• 14:07
  outside
• 14:07
  of
• 14:08
  the
• 14:08
  house.
• 14:08
  Absolutely.
• 14:09
  And
• 14:09
  the
• 14:09
  cool
• 14:10
  thing
• 14:10
  is
• 14:10
  too
• 14:10
  is
• 14:10
  that
• 14:10
  you
• 14:11
  still
• 14:11
  get
• 14:11
  that
• 14:12
  sound
• 14:12
  transmission
• 14:13
  thing.
• 14:13
  So
• 14:14
  if
• 14:14
  you
• 14:14
  got
• 14:14
  the
• 14:14
  kids
• 14:15
  playing
• 14:15
  their
• 14:15
  video
• 14:15
  games
• 14:16
  back
• 14:16
  in
• 14:16
  the
• 14:16
  room,
• 14:17
  you're
• 14:17
  not
• 14:17
  hearing
• 14:17
  them
• 14:17
  in
• 14:17
  the
• 14:18
  rest
• 14:18
  of
• 14:18
  the
• 14:18
  house
• 14:18
  because
• 14:18
  it's
• 14:19
  quiet.
• 14:19
  But
• 14:20
  you've
• 14:20
  got
• 14:20
  sound
• 14:20
  control
• 14:21
  with
• 14:21
  that,
• 14:21
  which
• 14:21
  is
• 14:22
  really
• 14:22
  cool.
• 14:22
  Because
• 14:23
  if
• 14:23
  I
• 14:23
  remember
• 14:23
  right,
• 14:23
  doesn't
• 14:24
  that
• 14:24
  basically
• 14:25
  leave
• 14:25
  you
• 14:25
  about
• 14:25
  the
• 14:25
  same
• 14:26
  sound
• 14:26
  transmission
• 14:27
  of
• 14:27
  a
• 14:27
  solid
• 14:28
  core
• 14:28
  door
• 14:28
  of
• 14:28
  that
• 14:29
  similar
• 14:29
  size?
• 14:29
  Is
• 14:30
  that
• 14:30
  kind
• 14:30
  of
• 14:30
  about
• 14:30
  the
• 14:30
  base.
• 14:30
  Basic
• 14:31
  rule
• 14:31
  for
• 14:31
  that?
• 14:32
  Correct.
• 14:32
  So
• 14:33
  we
• 14:33
  have
• 14:34
  developed
• 14:34
  the
• 14:34
  door
• 14:35
  to
• 14:35
  perform
• 14:36
  the
• 14:36
  same
• 14:36
  as
• 14:36
  a
• 14:37
  solid
• 14:37
  core
• 14:37
  door
• 14:38
  in
• 14:38
  third
• 14:38
  party
• 14:39
  testing
• 14:39
  for
• 14:40
  Applications
• 14:41
  within
• 14:41
  the
• 14:41
  home
• 14:41
  and
• 14:42
  regardless
• 14:42
  of
• 14:42
  thickness
• 14:43
  of
• 14:43
  the
• 14:43
  door
• 14:43
  as
• 14:43
  well.
• 14:44
  So
• 14:44
  whether
• 14:44
  it's
• 14:45
  inch
• 14:45
  and
• 14:45
  three
• 14:45
  quarters
• 14:46
  or
• 14:46
  inch
• 14:46
  and
• 14:46
  three,
• 14:46
  eight,
• 14:47
  it's
• 14:47
  going
• 14:47
  to
• 14:47
  perform
• 14:48
  just
• 14:48
  as
• 14:48
  good
• 14:48
  as
• 14:48
  a
• 14:49
  solid
• 14:49
  door
• 14:50
  in
• 14:50
  that
• 14:50
  application.
• 14:51
  Nice,
• 14:52
  nice.
• 14:53
  And
• 14:53
  that
• 14:53
  is
• 14:53
  so
• 14:53
  cool
• 14:54
  because
• 14:54
  everybody
• 14:55
  knows
• 14:55
  if
• 14:55
  you
• 14:55
  grew
• 14:56
  up
• 14:56
  with
• 14:56
  kids
• 14:56
  or
• 14:56
  you
• 14:57
  had,
• 14:57
  you
• 14:57
  were
• 14:58
  a
• 14:58
  kid.
• 14:58
  And
• 14:58
  those
• 14:59
  hollow
• 14:59
  core
• 14:59
  doors
• 15:00
  are,
• 15:00
  are
• 15:01
  not
• 15:01
  so
• 15:01
  great
• 15:02
  anyway.
• 15:02
  And
• 15:02
  so
• 15:02
  many
• 15:02
  builders
• 15:03
  put
• 15:03
  them
• 15:03
  in.
• 15:04
  You're
• 15:04
  actually
• 15:04
  putting
• 15:04
  in.
• 15:05
  If
• 15:05
  you've
• 15:05
  got
• 15:05
  a
• 15:05
  hollow
• 15:06
  corridor
• 15:06
  door
• 15:06
  in
• 15:06
  there
• 15:06
  to
• 15:06
  begin
• 15:06
  with,
• 15:07
  which
• 15:07
  many
• 15:07
  residential
• 15:08
  doors
• 15:08
  have
• 15:08
  already.
• 15:10
  You
• 15:10
  know,
• 15:10
  without
• 15:10
  getting
• 15:11
  into
• 15:11
  the
• 15:11
  kind
• 15:11
  of
• 15:11
  the
• 15:11
  middle,
• 15:11
  the
• 15:12
  higher
• 15:12
  end
• 15:12
  homes,
• 15:13
  you're
• 15:13
  going
• 15:13
  to
• 15:13
  have
• 15:14
  a
• 15:14
  quieter
• 15:14
  door
• 15:14
  than
• 15:14
  what
• 15:14
  you
• 15:15
  probably
• 15:15
  had
• 15:15
  in
• 15:15
  there
• 15:15
  to
• 15:15
  begin
• 15:15
  with.
• 15:16
  Yeah,
• 15:16
  we
• 15:17
  find
• 15:17
  ourselves
• 15:17
  in
• 15:18
  a
• 15:18
  good
• 15:18
  sweet
• 15:18
  spot.
• 15:19
  It's
• 15:19
  about
• 15:19
  the,
• 15:20
  in
• 15:20
  terms
• 15:20
  of
• 15:20
  weight
• 15:21
  of
• 15:21
  the
• 15:21
  door.
• 15:21
  A
• 15:22
  lot
• 15:22
  of
• 15:22
  people
• 15:22
  feel
• 15:22
  that
• 15:22
  hollow
• 15:23
  corridors
• 15:23
  are
• 15:24
  flimsy
• 15:24
  because
• 15:25
  they're
• 15:25
  light.
• 15:25
  And
• 15:26
  when
• 15:26
  you
• 15:26
  close
• 15:26
  the
• 15:27
  door
• 15:27
  it
• 15:27
  doesn't
• 15:27
  feel
• 15:28
  solid.
• 15:29
  And
• 15:29
  so
• 15:29
  we're
• 15:29
  in
• 15:30
  a
• 15:30
  nice
• 15:30
  kind
• 15:30
  of
• 15:30
  sweet
• 15:30
  spot.
• 15:31
  What
• 15:31
  we
• 15:31
  like
• 15:31
  to
• 15:31
  say,
• 15:31
  a
• 15:32
  semi
• 15:32
  solid
• 15:33
  door.
• 15:33
  And
• 15:34
  it
• 15:34
  gives
• 15:34
  you
• 15:34
  that
• 15:34
  satisfying
• 15:35
  thud,
• 15:36
  so
• 15:36
  to
• 15:36
  speak.
• 15:37
  Close
• 15:37
  your
• 15:38
  door
• 15:38
  when
• 15:39
  you
• 15:39
  use
• 15:39
  the
• 15:39
  door.
• 15:40
  Yeah,
• 15:40
  it's
• 15:41
  funny
• 15:41
  because
• 15:41
  I've
• 15:41
  got
• 15:42
  mine
• 15:42
  sitting
• 15:42
  over
• 15:42
  here
• 15:42
  on
• 15:42
  the
• 15:42
  other
• 15:43
  side
• 15:43
  of
• 15:43
  the
• 15:43
  shop
• 15:43
  getting
• 15:43
  ready
• 15:44
  to
• 15:44
  use
• 15:44
  it
• 15:45
  for
• 15:45
  an
• 15:45
  upcoming
• 15:45
  segment.
• 15:46
  And
• 15:47
  that
• 15:47
  thing
• 15:47
  is
• 15:48
  the
• 15:48
  perfect
• 15:48
  way.
• 15:49
  Whenever
• 15:49
  I
• 15:49
  have
• 15:49
  a
• 15:50
  solid
• 15:51
  core
• 15:51
  door,
• 15:52
  I
• 15:53
  pick
• 15:53
  that
• 15:53
  thing
• 15:53
  up
• 15:53
  and
• 15:53
  it's
• 15:54
  like,
• 15:54
  okay,
• 15:55
  here
• 15:55
  we
• 15:55
  go.
• 15:56
  It's
• 15:56
  that
• 15:56
  happy
• 15:57
  balance
• 15:57
  in
• 15:57
  between
• 15:58
  them.
• 15:58
  And
• 15:58
  that's
• 15:59
  what's
• 15:59
  really
• 15:59
  cool
• 15:59
  with
• 15:59
  that,
• 15:59
  is
• 16:00
  it
• 16:00
  doesn't
• 16:00
  feel
• 16:00
  like
• 16:01
  you're
• 16:01
  throwing
• 16:01
  around
• 16:02
  a
• 16:02
  piece
• 16:02
  of
• 16:02
  cardboard,
• 16:03
  but
• 16:03
  at
• 16:03
  the
• 16:04
  same
• 16:04
  point
• 16:05
  it's
• 16:05
  got
• 16:05
  some
• 16:05
  beef
• 16:06
  to
• 16:06
  it.
• 16:06
  So
• 16:06
  it
• 16:06
  feels
• 16:07
  quality
• 16:07
  and
• 16:08
  solid
• 16:08
  and
• 16:08
  is
• 16:08
  going
• 16:09
  to
• 16:09
  give
• 16:09
  you
• 16:09
  that
• 16:09
  nice
• 16:09
  kind
• 16:10
  of
• 16:10
  click
• 16:10
  with
• 16:10
  the
• 16:10
  latch
• 16:11
  versus
• 16:11
  the
• 16:12
  rattle
• 16:12
  click.
• 16:14
  That
• 16:15
  is
• 16:15
  awesome.
• 16:15
  Now
• 16:16
  I
• 16:16
  guess
• 16:16
  the
• 16:16
  big
• 16:17
  question
• 16:17
  is.
• 16:18
  What
• 16:18
  sizes
• 16:19
  are
• 16:19
  available?
• 16:19
  How
• 16:20
  custom
• 16:20
  are
• 16:20
  you
• 16:20
  guys
• 16:20
  with
• 16:20
  this?
• 16:21
  Because
• 16:22
  so
• 16:22
  many
• 16:22
  different
• 16:22
  homes
• 16:23
  have
• 16:23
  so
• 16:23
  many
• 16:23
  different
• 16:23
  finishes
• 16:24
  and
• 16:24
  doors.
• 16:24
  What
• 16:25
  are
• 16:25
  the
• 16:25
  options
• 16:25
  that
• 16:25
  people
• 16:26
  have
• 16:26
  with
• 16:26
  that?
• 16:27
  Yeah,
• 16:27
  I
• 16:27
  would
• 16:27
  say
• 16:27
  that
• 16:28
  we've
• 16:28
  got
• 16:28
  lots
• 16:28
  of
• 16:28
  options
• 16:29
  for
• 16:29
  everybody.
• 16:30
  The
• 16:30
  narrowest
• 16:31
  door
• 16:31
  that
• 16:31
  we
• 16:31
  make
• 16:32
  is
• 16:32
  one
• 16:32
  foot
• 16:32
  wide.
• 16:33
  The
• 16:33
  widest
• 16:33
  we
• 16:33
  make
• 16:34
  is
• 16:34
  four
• 16:34
  feet
• 16:35
  wide.
• 16:35
  And
• 16:35
  in
• 16:36
  terms
• 16:36
  of
• 16:36
  height,
• 16:36
  we
• 16:37
  can
• 16:37
  go
• 16:37
  all
• 16:37
  the
• 16:37
  way
• 16:37
  up
• 16:37
  to
• 16:38
  10ft.
• 16:38
  So
• 16:39
  we
• 16:39
  do
• 16:39
  everything
• 16:40
  in
• 16:40
  between
• 16:40
  that.
• 16:41
  Wow.
• 16:42
  Okay.
• 16:43
  You
• 16:43
  have
• 16:43
  options
• 16:44
  for
• 16:44
  just
• 16:44
  about
• 16:44
  anything.
• 16:45
  That
• 16:45
  is
• 16:46
  cool.
• 16:47
  Wow.
• 16:47
  Okay,
• 16:48
  so
• 16:48
  veneers
• 16:49
  and
• 16:49
  stuff
• 16:49
  on
• 16:49
  that.
• 16:50
  What
• 16:50
  are
• 16:50
  the
• 16:50
  options
• 16:50
  on
• 16:51
  that?
• 16:51
  Pretty.
• 16:51
  If
• 16:52
  it's
• 16:52
  available,
• 16:52
  you
• 16:52
  guys
• 16:53
  work
• 16:53
  with
• 16:53
  it.
• 16:54
  Yeah.
• 16:54
  Standard
• 16:54
  veneer
• 16:55
  finishes
• 16:55
  would
• 16:55
  be
• 16:56
  fir
• 16:56
  maple,
• 16:57
  as
• 16:58
  White
• 16:58
  oak,
• 16:59
  walnut.
• 17:00
  But
• 17:00
  anything
• 17:01
  that
• 17:01
  the
• 17:02
  customer
• 17:02
  can
• 17:03
  imagine,
• 17:03
  we
• 17:03
  can
• 17:03
  put
• 17:04
  onto
• 17:04
  the
• 17:04
  door.
• 17:04
  It's
• 17:05
  just
• 17:05
  a
• 17:05
  matter
• 17:05
  of
• 17:05
  us
• 17:06
  sourcing
• 17:06
  the
• 17:06
  material.
• 17:07
  So
• 17:07
  we've
• 17:08
  worked
• 17:08
  with
• 17:08
  custom
• 17:09
  veneer
• 17:09
  layups.
• 17:10
  If
• 17:10
  you're
• 17:10
  looking
• 17:11
  for
• 17:11
  a
• 17:11
  certain
• 17:11
  cut,
• 17:12
  whether
• 17:12
  that's
• 17:12
  quarter
• 17:12
  or
• 17:13
  flat
• 17:13
  cut,
• 17:13
  sequence,
• 17:14
  match,
• 17:14
  book,
• 17:15
  match,
• 17:15
  split
• 17:15
  match,
• 17:16
  we
• 17:16
  can
• 17:16
  really
• 17:17
  customize
• 17:17
  it
• 17:18
  for
• 17:18
  you.
• 17:18
  We
• 17:18
  work
• 17:19
  with
• 17:19
  a
• 17:19
  local
• 17:19
  veneer
• 17:19
  shop
• 17:20
  here.
• 17:20
  We
• 17:20
  can
• 17:20
  even
• 17:21
  customize
• 17:21
  the
• 17:21
  flitch
• 17:22
  width
• 17:22
  of
• 17:22
  the
• 17:23
  veneer.
• 17:23
  So
• 17:24
  we're
• 17:24
  really
• 17:24
  turnkey
• 17:25
  here
• 17:26
  and
• 17:26
  can
• 17:27
  we
• 17:27
  can't
• 17:27
  get
• 17:27
  our
• 17:27
  hands
• 17:28
  on
• 17:28
  it.
• 17:28
  Well,
• 17:28
  I'm
• 17:28
  sure
• 17:29
  we'll.
• 17:29
  We'll
• 17:29
  be
• 17:29
  able
• 17:29
  to
• 17:29
  find
• 17:30
  someone
• 17:30
  who
• 17:30
  can
• 17:31
  get
• 17:31
  us
• 17:32
  that
• 17:32
  product.
• 17:33
  That's
• 17:33
  amazing.
• 17:34
  And
• 17:34
  the
• 17:34
  other
• 17:34
  thing
• 17:34
  I
• 17:34
  was
• 17:34
  thinking
• 17:35
  about
• 17:35
  is
• 17:35
  another
• 17:35
  great
• 17:36
  use
• 17:36
  case,
• 17:37
  being
• 17:37
  that
• 17:37
  we're
• 17:38
  all,
• 17:38
  you
• 17:38
  and
• 17:38
  I
• 17:38
  both
• 17:38
  are
• 17:38
  in
• 17:39
  the
• 17:39
  Pacific
• 17:39
  Northwest.
• 17:40
  Here
• 17:40
  we
• 17:41
  are
• 17:41
  coming
• 17:41
  into
• 17:41
  that
• 17:41
  time
• 17:42
  of
• 17:42
  year.
• 17:42
  As
• 17:42
  I
• 17:42
  hear
• 17:43
  the
• 17:43
  rain
• 17:43
  hitting
• 17:43
  on
• 17:43
  the
• 17:44
  roof
• 17:44
  right
• 17:44
  now
• 17:44
  of
• 17:44
  my
• 17:45
  office,
• 17:45
  it's
• 17:46
  that
• 17:46
  wet
• 17:46
  season,
• 17:46
  and
• 17:47
  so
• 17:47
  many
• 17:47
  people
• 17:47
  make
• 17:47
  the
• 17:48
  mistakes
• 17:48
  in
• 17:48
  their
• 17:48
  hall
• 17:49
  closets.
• 17:49
  You
• 17:50
  come
• 17:50
  in
• 17:50
  the
• 17:50
  door,
• 17:50
  there's
• 17:51
  a
• 17:51
  whole
• 17:51
  closet.
• 17:51
  They
• 17:52
  take
• 17:52
  their
• 17:52
  jacket
• 17:52
  off,
• 17:53
  shake
• 17:53
  it.
• 17:53
  Off
• 17:54
  a
• 17:54
  second,
• 17:54
  and
• 17:54
  they
• 17:54
  go
• 17:54
  hanging
• 17:55
  up,
• 17:55
  and
• 17:55
  they
• 17:55
  have
• 17:55
  a
• 17:55
  moldy
• 17:56
  closet.
• 17:56
  This
• 17:56
  would
• 17:57
  be
• 17:57
  a
• 17:57
  great
• 17:58
  way
• 17:58
  to
• 17:59
  solve
• 17:59
  that
• 17:59
  without
• 18:00
  having
• 18:00
  to
• 18:00
  leave
• 18:00
  your
• 18:00
  jackets
• 18:01
  out
• 18:01
  for
• 18:01
  a
• 18:01
  day
• 18:01
  or
• 18:01
  two
• 18:01
  to
• 18:01
  dry
• 18:02
  out.
• 18:02
  You
• 18:03
  can
• 18:03
  now
• 18:03
  get
• 18:03
  some
• 18:03
  ventilation
• 18:04
  into
• 18:04
  those
• 18:04
  whole
• 18:04
  closets
• 18:05
  and
• 18:05
  still
• 18:05
  make
• 18:05
  it
• 18:06
  look
• 18:06
  nice.
• 18:06
  And
• 18:07
  it's
• 18:07
  just
• 18:07
  another
• 18:08
  use
• 18:08
  for
• 18:09
  one
• 18:09
  of
• 18:09
  these
• 18:09
  doors
• 18:10
  so
• 18:10
  you
• 18:10
  can
• 18:11
  reduce
• 18:11
  that
• 18:11
  mold
• 18:11
  and
• 18:11
  have
• 18:12
  healthier
• 18:12
  indoor
• 18:12
  air
• 18:13
  quality.
• 18:13
  That's
• 18:13
  exactly
• 18:14
  right.
• 18:14
  So
• 18:14
  it'll
• 18:15
  help
• 18:15
  alleviate
• 18:16
  any
• 18:16
  humidity
• 18:17
  and
• 18:17
  moisture
• 18:18
  issues
• 18:18
  that
• 18:18
  you
• 18:18
  might
• 18:18
  have
• 18:19
  and
• 18:19
  just
• 18:19
  allow
• 18:19
  air
• 18:19
  to
• 18:20
  flow
• 18:20
  in
• 18:20
  and
• 18:20
  out
• 18:20
  of
• 18:21
  those
• 18:21
  spaces.
• 18:22
  Yeah,
• 18:22
  that
• 18:22
  is
• 18:22
  great
• 18:23
  question
• 18:24
  for
• 18:24
  you.
• 18:24
  When
• 18:24
  you're
• 18:25
  finishing
• 18:25
  these
• 18:25
  doors,
• 18:26
  how
• 18:26
  do
• 18:26
  you
• 18:26
  deal
• 18:26
  with
• 18:27
  kind
• 18:27
  of
• 18:28
  the
• 18:28
  inside
• 18:28
  recess
• 18:29
  part
• 18:29
  of
• 18:29
  it?
• 18:29
  Because
• 18:29
  you
• 18:29
  guys
• 18:30
  are
• 18:30
  putting
• 18:30
  in
• 18:30
  a
• 18:30
  really
• 18:31
  nice
• 18:32
  oval.
• 18:33
  Almost
• 18:33
  like
• 18:33
  what
• 18:34
  if
• 18:34
  you
• 18:34
  were
• 18:34
  trying
• 18:34
  to
• 18:35
  envision,
• 18:35
  for
• 18:35
  the
• 18:36
  people
• 18:36
  out
• 18:36
  there
• 18:36
  listening
• 18:36
  on
• 18:36
  the
• 18:37
  radio,
• 18:37
  a
• 18:37
  long,
• 18:38
  straight
• 18:38
  router
• 18:39
  cut.
• 18:39
  Right.
• 18:40
  That
• 18:40
  you
• 18:40
  would
• 18:40
  have
• 18:40
  with
• 18:41
  that.
• 18:41
  That's
• 18:42
  nice
• 18:42
  and
• 18:42
  big.
• 18:42
  What's
• 18:43
  the
• 18:43
  best
• 18:43
  way
• 18:43
  for
• 18:44
  people
• 18:44
  to.
• 18:44
  Finish
• 18:44
  the
• 18:45
  inside
• 18:45
  of
• 18:45
  that
• 18:45
  to
• 18:46
  give
• 18:46
  the
• 18:46
  right
• 18:46
  look?
• 18:47
  Yeah,
• 18:47
  that's
• 18:47
  a
• 18:47
  really
• 18:48
  great
• 18:48
  question,
• 18:48
  Eric,
• 18:49
  on
• 18:49
  the
• 18:49
  painted
• 18:50
  finishes.
• 18:51
  So
• 18:51
  it
• 18:51
  typically
• 18:52
  will
• 18:52
  come
• 18:52
  primed
• 18:53
  us,
• 18:54
  and
• 18:54
  it's
• 18:54
  typically
• 18:54
  primed
• 18:55
  white.
• 18:55
  And
• 18:55
  so
• 18:56
  if
• 18:56
  you're
• 18:56
  spraying
• 18:57
  a
• 18:57
  white
• 18:57
  finish
• 18:58
  onto
• 18:58
  the
• 18:58
  doors,
• 18:59
  that's
• 18:59
  the
• 18:59
  ideal
• 19:00
  case
• 19:00
  where
• 19:00
  if
• 19:00
  you
• 19:01
  hit
• 19:01
  it
• 19:01
  at
• 19:01
  the
• 19:02
  right
• 19:02
  angle,
• 19:02
  you'll
• 19:03
  ensure
• 19:03
  that
• 19:04
  you
• 19:04
  have
• 19:04
  good
• 19:04
  coverage
• 19:05
  in
• 19:05
  and
• 19:05
  around
• 19:06
  the
• 19:06
  ventilation
• 19:07
  slot
• 19:07
  itself.
• 19:08
  If
• 19:08
  you
• 19:08
  don't
• 19:08
  have
• 19:08
  Access
• 19:08
  to
• 19:09
  a
• 19:09
  spray
• 19:09
  gun.
• 19:09
  We
• 19:10
  typically
• 19:10
  see
• 19:11
  people
• 19:11
  rolling
• 19:12
  paint
• 19:12
  on
• 19:12
  to
• 19:12
  the
• 19:12
  door
• 19:13
  faces
• 19:13
  and
• 19:14
  then
• 19:14
  finishing
• 19:15
  up
• 19:15
  the
• 19:15
  slot
• 19:15
  with
• 19:15
  like
• 19:16
  a
• 19:16
  trim
• 19:16
  brush.
• 19:16
  The
• 19:16
  slot
• 19:17
  is
• 19:17
  about
• 19:17
  7,
• 19:18
  8,
• 19:18
  7
• 19:18
  inch
• 19:18
  wide,
• 19:19
  and
• 19:19
  so
• 19:19
  it
• 19:19
  can
• 19:19
  fit
• 19:20
  a
• 19:20
  small
• 19:20
  trim
• 19:21
  brush
• 19:21
  that
• 19:21
  you
• 19:21
  can
• 19:22
  run
• 19:22
  inside
• 19:22
  of
• 19:22
  it
• 19:23
  to
• 19:23
  achieve
• 19:24
  that
• 19:24
  look.
• 19:24
  Multiple
• 19:25
  coats
• 19:25
  I
• 19:25
  would
• 19:25
  recommend,
• 19:26
  but
• 19:27
  for
• 19:27
  your
• 19:27
  typical
• 19:28
  spray
• 19:28
  finish,
• 19:28
  it's
• 19:29
  very
• 19:29
  simple.
• 19:29
  We
• 19:30
  haven't
• 19:30
  seen
• 19:30
  any
• 19:30
  painters
• 19:31
  on
• 19:31
  whether
• 19:32
  that's
• 19:32
  in
• 19:32
  a
• 19:32
  professional
• 19:33
  factory
• 19:34
  setting
• 19:34
  or
• 19:35
  in
• 19:35
  the
• 19:35
  field
• 19:35
  finishing,
• 19:36
  have
• 19:36
  any
• 19:37
  issues
• 19:37
  with
• 19:37
  that.
• 19:38
  And
• 19:38
  as
• 19:38
  far
• 19:38
  as
• 19:39
  transparent
• 19:39
  finishes
• 19:40
  go
• 19:40
  or
• 19:40
  stains
• 19:40
  go,
• 19:41
  similar
• 19:41
  process
• 19:42
  to
• 19:42
  that
• 19:42
  where
• 19:43
  for
• 19:43
  transparent
• 19:43
  finishes,
• 19:44
  if
• 19:44
  you're
• 19:45
  spraying
• 19:45
  on,
• 19:46
  you'll
• 19:46
  have
• 19:46
  good
• 19:46
  coverage.
• 19:47
  And
• 19:48
  if
• 19:48
  you're
• 19:48
  going
• 19:48
  to
• 19:49
  roll
• 19:49
  or
• 19:50
  brush
• 19:50
  transparent
• 19:51
  finishes
• 19:51
  on,
• 19:52
  it's
• 19:52
  the
• 19:52
  same
• 19:52
  process.
• 19:53
  So
• 19:53
  it's.
• 19:54
  It's
• 19:54
  an
• 19:54
  added
• 19:55
  step,
• 19:55
  I'd
• 19:55
  say.
• 19:56
  But
• 19:56
  I.
• 19:56
  I
• 19:56
  would
• 19:56
  definitely
• 19:57
  say
• 19:57
  it's
• 19:58
  easier
• 19:58
  than
• 19:58
  painting
• 19:59
  a
• 19:59
  full
• 19:59
  louver
• 20:00
  door
• 20:00
  when
• 20:00
  you
• 20:01
  have.
• 20:01
  Imagine
• 20:02
  getting
• 20:02
  a
• 20:03
  brush
• 20:03
  in
• 20:03
  and
• 20:03
  around
• 20:03
  those
• 20:04
  corners.
• 20:04
  Right.
• 20:05
  So
• 20:05
  it's
• 20:06
  gonna.
• 20:06
  It's
• 20:06
  gonna
• 20:06
  be
• 20:06
  a
• 20:07
  lot
• 20:07
  easier
• 20:07
  than
• 20:07
  that.
• 20:07
  I
• 20:07
  can.
• 20:08
  I
• 20:08
  can
• 20:08
  guarantee
• 20:09
  that.
• 20:09
  That
• 20:09
  is
• 20:10
  awesome.
• 20:10
  I
• 20:10
  still
• 20:10
  have
• 20:11
  nightmares
• 20:11
  as
• 20:11
  a
• 20:11
  kid
• 20:12
  in
• 20:12
  the
• 20:12
  70s,
• 20:12
  my
• 20:13
  parents
• 20:13
  going,
• 20:13
  all
• 20:13
  right,
• 20:13
  you're
• 20:14
  painting
• 20:14
  your
• 20:14
  room.
• 20:14
  Awesome,
• 20:15
  cool,
• 20:15
  fun
• 20:15
  painting
• 20:16
  project.
• 20:16
  I
• 20:17
  was
• 20:17
  a
• 20:17
  little
• 20:17
  kid
• 20:17
  and
• 20:17
  I
• 20:17
  looked
• 20:18
  at
• 20:18
  these
• 20:18
  doors
• 20:18
  and
• 20:18
  I
• 20:18
  had
• 20:19
  those
• 20:19
  louver
• 20:19
  doors
• 20:19
  as
• 20:19
  a
• 20:20
  kid
• 20:20
  because
• 20:20
  it
• 20:20
  was
• 20:20
  a
• 20:20
  70s
• 20:21
  and
• 20:21
  it
• 20:21
  was
• 20:21
  like,
• 20:22
  you've
• 20:22
  got
• 20:22
  to
• 20:22
  be
• 20:23
  kidding
• 20:23
  me.
• 20:23
  This
• 20:23
  is
• 20:23
  going
• 20:24
  to
• 20:24
  take
• 20:24
  me
• 20:24
  a
• 20:24
  day
• 20:25
  to
• 20:27
  hand
• 20:27
  brush
• 20:28
  all
• 20:28
  these
• 20:28
  little
• 20:28
  things
• 20:29
  and
• 20:29
  get
• 20:29
  it
• 20:29
  perfect.
• 20:30
  It
• 20:30
  was
• 20:31
  not
• 20:31
  a
• 20:31
  fun
• 20:31
  project
• 20:31
  as
• 20:32
  a
• 20:32
  kid.
• 20:32
  My
• 20:32
  attention
• 20:32
  span
• 20:33
  was
• 20:33
  not
• 20:33
  ready
• 20:33
  for
• 20:34
  that.
• 20:34
  Absolutely.
• 20:35
  And
• 20:36
  then
• 20:36
  basically,
• 20:36
  since
• 20:37
  you
• 20:37
  guys
• 20:37
  are
• 20:37
  doing
• 20:38

  you're

  making
• 20:44
  it
• 20:44

  more
• 23:46
  wrapped
• 23:46
  up
• 23:47
  with
• 23:47
  Vic
• 23:47
  from

• 23:48
  Air

• 23:49

• 23:49
  some
• 23:49
  cool
• 23:49

• 23:50
  doors
• 23:51
  that
• 23:51
  move
• 23:52
  air
• 23:52
  without
• 23:53
  an
• 23:53
  ugly
• 23:53
  grill
• 23:53
  or
• 23:54
  vent.
• 23:54
  That's
• 23:55
  right.
• 23:55
  It
• 23:55
  was
• 23:55
  designed
• 23:56
  to
• 23:56
  work
• 23:56
  with
• 23:57
  all
• 23:57
  the
• 23:57
  hardware
• 23:58
  that's
• 23:58
  commercially
• 23:59
  available.
• 24:00
  So
• 24:00
  regular
• 24:01
  lock
• 24:02
  sets,
• 24:02
  hinges,
• 24:03
  concealed
• 24:03
  Hinges,
• 24:04
  door
• 24:05
  closers,
• 24:05
  automatic
• 24:06
  door
• 24:06
  bottoms.
• 24:07
  It
• 24:07
  even
• 24:07
  works
• 24:08
  if
• 24:08
  you
• 24:08
  have
• 24:08
  an
• 24:08
  electrified
• 24:09
  hinge.
• 24:09
  If
• 24:09
  you
• 24:09
  need
• 24:09
  to
• 24:09
  electrify
• 24:10
  the
• 24:10
  strike
• 24:10
  or
• 24:10
  handle
• 24:11
  locks
• 24:11
  that.
• 24:12
  And
• 24:12
  so
• 24:13
  we
• 24:13
  designed
• 24:13
  it
• 24:13
  in
• 24:13
  a
• 24:14
  way
• 24:14
  that
• 24:14
  it
• 24:15
  would
• 24:15
  fit
• 24:15
  with
• 24:16
  all
• 24:16
  hardware
• 24:16
  and
• 24:17
  all
• 24:17
  frames
• 24:17
  as
• 24:18
  well.
• 24:18
  So
• 24:19
  pocket
• 24:19
  door
• 24:20
  frames
• 24:20
  is
• 24:20
  fine
• 24:21
  as
• 24:21
  well.
• 24:21
  Sliding
• 24:22
  hardware
• 24:22
  is
• 24:23
  fine
• 24:23
  as
• 24:23
  well.
• 24:24
  So
• 24:24
  really
• 24:25
  like
• 24:26
  it's
• 24:26
  pretty
• 24:26
  much
• 24:27
  the
• 24:27
  same
• 24:27
  door
• 24:28
  that
• 24:28
  everyone's
• 24:29
  typically
• 24:29
  used
• 24:29
  to,
• 24:30
  just
• 24:30
  with
• 24:30
  the
• 24:30
  added
• 24:30
  benefit
• 24:31
  and
• 24:31
  the
• 24:31
  technology
• 24:32
  inside
• 24:32
  the
• 24:32
  core.
• 24:33
  Nice.
• 24:34
  Now
• 24:34
  how
• 24:34
  do
• 24:34
  you
• 24:34
  guys
• 24:35
  work
• 24:35
  with
• 24:35
  door
• 24:36
  companies
• 24:36
  or
• 24:37
  the
• 24:37
  retail
• 24:37
  folks
• 24:37
  or
• 24:38
  contractors?
• 24:39
  How
• 24:39
  are
• 24:39
  you
• 24:39
  guys
• 24:39
  set
• 24:40
  up
• 24:40
  as
• 24:40
  far
• 24:40
  as
• 24:40
  distribution
• 24:41
  so
• 24:41
  people
• 24:41
  can
• 24:41
  navigate
• 24:42
  the
• 24:42
  way
• 24:43
  you
• 24:43
  guys
• 24:43
  work?
• 24:43
  Yeah,
• 24:44
  so
• 24:44
  we
• 24:44
  work
• 24:44
  with
• 24:45
  several
• 24:45
  wholesale
• 24:46
  distribution
• 24:47
  companies
• 24:48
  who
• 24:48
  will
• 24:49
  sell
• 24:49
  to
• 24:50
  the
• 24:51
  local
• 24:52
  supplier
• 24:52
  of
• 24:53
  doors.
• 24:54
  And
• 24:54
  so
• 24:54
  that's
• 24:54
  kind
• 24:55
  of
• 24:55
  our
• 24:55
  go
• 24:56
  to
• 24:56
  market
• 24:57
  strategy
• 24:57
  or
• 24:57
  distribution
• 24:58
  channel.
• 24:59
  And
• 24:59
  so
• 24:59
  if
• 25:00
  people
• 25:00
  are
• 25:00
  looking
• 25:00
  for
• 25:00
  a
• 25:01
  product,
• 25:01
  we
• 25:01
  recommend
• 25:02
  that
• 25:02
  they
• 25:02
  get
• 25:02
  in
• 25:02
  touch
• 25:02
  with
• 25:03
  us
• 25:03
  and
• 25:03
  we
• 25:04
  can
• 25:04
  point
• 25:04
  them
• 25:04
  to
• 25:04
  the
• 25:04
  right
• 25:05
  supplier
• 25:05
  and
• 25:06
  have
• 25:06
  them
• 25:06
  serviced
• 25:07
  that
• 25:07
  way.
• 25:08
  That
• 25:08
  makes
• 25:08
  sense.
• 25:08
  So
• 25:09
  that
• 25:09
  way
• 25:09
  you've
• 25:09
  got
• 25:09
  the
• 25:09
  local
• 25:10
  expert
• 25:11
  kind
• 25:11
  of
• 25:11
  working
• 25:11
  hand
• 25:11
  in
• 25:12
  hand
• 25:12
  to
• 25:12
  make
• 25:12
  sure
• 25:12
  doors
• 25:13
  get
• 25:13
  ordered
• 25:13
  correctly
• 25:13
  and
• 25:14
  things
• 25:14
  like
• 25:14
  that,
• 25:14
  that
• 25:15
  things
• 25:15
  get
• 25:15
  made
• 25:16
  through
• 25:16
  the
• 25:16
  process
• 25:16
  correctly.
• 25:17
  Because
• 25:17
  tell
• 25:18
  you
• 25:18
  what,
• 25:18
  that
• 25:18
  is
• 25:18
  probably
• 25:19
  for
• 25:19
  most
• 25:20
  homeowners,
• 25:20
  one
• 25:20
  of
• 25:20
  the
• 25:20
  most
• 25:21
  confusing
• 25:21
  things
• 25:21
  is
• 25:22
  trying
• 25:22
  to
• 25:22
  place
• 25:22
  a
• 25:23
  door
• 25:23
  order
• 25:23
  and
• 25:23
  to
• 25:23
  get
• 25:24
  it
• 25:24
  right.
• 25:24
  Exactly.
• 25:25
  There's
• 25:26
  so
• 25:26
  many
• 25:26
  nuances
• 25:27
  with
• 25:27
  ordering
• 25:28
  a
• 25:28
  door.
• 25:28
  Typically
• 25:29
  manufacturers
• 25:30
  just
• 25:30
  make
• 25:30
  the
• 25:30
  slab
• 25:30
  itself.
• 25:31
  And
• 25:32
  so
• 25:32
  you're
• 25:32
  really
• 25:32
  having
• 25:33
  to
• 25:33
  rely
• 25:33
  on
• 25:33
  distribution
• 25:34
  to
• 25:34
  put
• 25:34
  the
• 25:34
  frame
• 25:34
  on
• 25:35
  for
• 25:35
  you
• 25:35
  to
• 25:35
  supply
• 25:35
  the
• 25:35
  hinges
• 25:36
  and
• 25:36
  supply
• 25:36
  the
• 25:37
  hardware.
• 25:37
  And
• 25:37
  so
• 25:38
  that's
• 25:38
  where
• 25:38
  they're
• 25:38
  gonna
• 25:39
  help
• 25:39
  the
• 25:39
  homeowner
• 25:40
  or
• 25:40
  the
• 25:40
  contractor
• 25:41
  sort
• 25:41
  that
• 25:41
  all
• 25:41
  out.
• 25:42
  Makes
• 25:42
  a
• 25:42
  lot
• 25:42
  of
• 25:42
  sense.
• 25:43
  So
• 25:43
  what
• 25:43
  are
• 25:43
  the
• 25:44
  best
• 25:44
  people?
• 25:44
  What's
• 25:45
  best
• 25:45
  people
• 25:45
  to
• 25:45
  track
• 25:46
  you
• 25:46
  guys.
• 25:46
  Down,
• 25:47
  Vic,
• 25:47
  because
• 25:47
  you
• 25:48
  guys
• 25:48
  have
• 25:49
  such
• 25:49
  an
• 25:49
  innovative
• 25:50
  solution
• 25:50
  for
• 25:50
  people
• 25:51
  that
• 25:51
  need
• 25:52
  ventilation
• 25:52
  and
• 25:53
  correct
• 25:53
  ventilation
• 25:54
  and
• 25:54
  sound
• 25:54
  control
• 25:55
  for
• 25:55
  these
• 25:55
  rooms.
• 25:56
  Yeah,
• 25:56
  I
• 25:56
  guess
• 25:57
  as
• 25:57
  we're
• 25:57
  expanding
• 25:58
  our
• 25:58
  coverage
• 25:59
  nationwide
• 25:59
  right
• 26:00
  now,
• 26:00
  the
• 26:01
  best
• 26:01
  way
• 26:01
  to
• 26:01
  get
• 26:01
  in
• 26:01
  touch
• 26:02
  with
• 26:02
  us
• 26:02
  would
• 26:02
  be
• 26:03
  our
• 26:03
  website
• 26:04
  or
• 26:05
  phone
• 26:05
  or
• 26:06
  email
• 26:06
  and
• 26:07
  we'll
• 26:07
  really
• 26:08
  point
• 26:08
  you
• 26:08
  to
• 26:09
  the
• 26:09
  right
• 26:09
  suppliers.
• 26:10
  We're
• 26:10
  working
• 26:10
  with
• 26:11
  knowledgeable
• 26:11
  people
• 26:12
  in
• 26:12
  the
• 26:12
  industry.
• 26:12
  We
• 26:13
  don't
• 26:13
  want
• 26:13
  to
• 26:14
  be
• 26:14
  set
• 26:14
  up
• 26:14
  with
• 26:16
  the
• 26:16
  Home
• 26:16
  Depots
• 26:17
  or
• 26:17
  the
• 26:17
  big
• 26:17
  box
• 26:17
  stores
• 26:18
  just
• 26:18
  yet.
• 26:18
  Just
• 26:18
  because
• 26:19
  there's
• 26:20
  a
• 26:20
  bit
• 26:20
  more
• 26:20
  involved
• 26:21
  with
• 26:21
  this
• 26:21
  product.
• 26:21
  You've
• 26:21
  got
• 26:22
  the
• 26:22
  ventilation
• 26:23
  aspect
• 26:23
  and
• 26:24
  the
• 26:24
  acoustic
• 26:24
  aspect.
• 26:25
  And
• 26:25
  so
• 26:26
  we're
• 26:26
  taking
• 26:27
  a
• 26:28
  skilled
• 26:29
  approach
• 26:30
  to
• 26:31
  getting
• 26:31
  coverage
• 26:32
  across
• 26:32
  North
• 26:32
  America.
• 26:33
  That
• 26:34
  is
• 26:34
  a
• 26:34
  smart
• 26:34
  plan.
• 26:35
  As
• 26:35
  somebody
• 26:35
  that
• 26:35
  has
• 26:35
  worked
• 26:36
  with
• 26:36
  companies
• 26:36
  that
• 26:36
  have
• 26:37
  put
• 26:37
  stuff
• 26:37
  into
• 26:37
  the
• 26:37
  big
• 26:38
  box
• 26:38
  stores
• 26:39
  that
• 26:39
  can
• 26:39
  be
• 26:39
  its
• 26:40
  own
• 26:40
  Headache
• 26:41
  and
• 26:41
  no
• 26:41
  offense,
• 26:42
  big
• 26:42
  box
• 26:42
  stores.
• 26:43
  But
• 26:43
  it's
• 26:43
  not
• 26:43
  easy
• 26:44
  for
• 26:44
  manufacturers
• 26:45
  to
• 26:45
  work
• 26:45
  with
• 26:45
  you,
• 26:45
  especially
• 26:45
  with
• 26:46
  a
• 26:46
  custom
• 26:46
  product.
• 26:46
  That
• 26:46
  can
• 26:47
  be
• 26:47
  a
• 26:47
  process
• 26:47
  that
• 26:48
  could
• 26:48
  pull
• 26:48
  your
• 26:48
  hair
• 26:48
  out,
• 26:49
  that's
• 26:49
  for
• 26:49
  sure.
• 26:50
  Yeah.
• 26:50
  The
• 26:51
  beauty
• 26:51
  with
• 26:51
  a
• 26:51
  door
• 26:52
  product
• 26:52
  is
• 26:52
  that
• 26:53
  it's
• 26:53
  almost
• 26:53
  infinitely
• 26:54
  configurable.
• 26:55
  Right.
• 26:55
  You
• 26:55
  can
• 26:56
  make
• 26:56
  any
• 26:57
  size
• 26:57
  down
• 26:57
  to
• 26:58
  a
• 26:58
  sixteenth
• 26:58
  of
• 26:58
  an
• 26:58
  inch
• 26:59
  if
• 26:59
  you
• 26:59
  wanted
• 26:59
  to.
• 27:00
  The
• 27:00
  machining
• 27:01
  for
• 27:01
  the
• 27:01
  hinges.
• 27:02
  Right.
• 27:02
  They
• 27:02
  could
• 27:02
  be
• 27:03
  placed,
• 27:03
  placed
• 27:03
  in
• 27:04
  any
• 27:04
  position
• 27:05
  that
• 27:05
  you
• 27:05
  can
• 27:05
  imagine.
• 27:06
  The
• 27:06
  handle
• 27:06
  can
• 27:07
  be
• 27:07
  placed
• 27:07
  in
• 27:07
  any
• 27:07
  position
• 27:07
  that
• 27:08
  you
• 27:08
  imagine.
• 27:09
  And
• 27:09
  so
• 27:09
  we're
• 27:09
  really
• 27:10
  wanting
• 27:10
  to
• 27:10
  make
• 27:11
  sure
• 27:11
  that
• 27:11
  we
• 27:11
  carry
• 27:12
  the
• 27:12
  customization
• 27:13
  aspects
• 27:13
  of
• 27:13
  the
• 27:13
  door
• 27:14
  through
• 27:15
  to
• 27:15
  the
• 27:15
  homeowner.
• 27:16
  And
• 27:16
  so
• 27:17
  we
• 27:17
  are
• 27:17
  working
• 27:18
  with
• 27:18
  select
• 27:18
  folks
• 27:19
  in
• 27:19
  the
• 27:19
  industry
• 27:20
  to,
• 27:20
  you
• 27:21
  know,
• 27:21
  provide
• 27:21
  that.
• 27:22
  Beautiful.
• 27:23
  So
• 27:23
  what's
• 27:23
  the
• 27:23
  best
• 27:23
  website
• 27:24
  for
• 27:24
  people.
• 27:24
  To
• 27:24
  go
• 27:24
  to
• 27:25
  to
• 27:25
  find
• 27:25
  out
• 27:25
  more
• 27:25
  information
• 27:26
  for
• 27:26
  you?
• 27:26
  It
• 27:27
  would
• 27:27
  be
• 27:27
  vaynerdesign.com.
• 27:29
  That
• 27:29
  is
• 27:29
  awesome.
• 27:30
  So
• 27:30
  Vic,
• 27:31
  what
• 27:31
  have
• 27:31
  we
• 27:31
  not
• 27:31
  touched
• 27:32
  on
• 27:32
  here
• 27:32
  today?
• 27:32
  Because
• 27:33
  you
• 27:33
  guys
• 27:33
  have
• 27:33
  such
• 27:34
  a
• 27:34
  wide
• 27:35
  range
• 27:35
  of
• 27:36
  doors
• 27:37
  and
• 27:38
  solutions
• 27:38
  for
• 27:38
  ventilation
• 27:39
  for
• 27:39
  people,
• 27:39
  it's
• 27:40
  just
• 27:40
  mind
• 27:40
  boggling
• 27:41
  the
• 27:41
  options
• 27:41
  that
• 27:42
  you
• 27:42
  guys
• 27:42
  have.
• 27:43
  Yeah,
• 27:43
  I
• 27:43
  could
• 27:43
  talk
• 27:43
  about
• 27:43
  doors
• 27:44
  all
• 27:44
  day.
• 27:45
  We're
• 27:45
  really
• 27:45
  just
• 27:46
  at
• 27:46
  the
• 27:46
  tip
• 27:46
  of
• 27:46
  the
• 27:46
  iceberg.
• 27:47
  We're
• 27:47
  talking
• 27:47
  about
• 27:47
  ventilating
• 27:48
  all
• 27:48
  these
• 27:49
  new
• 27:49
  technologies
• 27:49
  that
• 27:49
  are
• 27:50
  in
• 27:50
  our
• 27:50
  home.
• 27:50
  I
• 27:51
  think
• 27:51
  that
• 27:51
  the
• 27:52
  big
• 27:53
  shift
• 27:53
  in
• 27:54
  the
• 27:54
  industry
• 27:55
  for
• 27:55
  us
• 27:55
  going
• 27:55
  forward
• 27:56
  is
• 27:56
  as
• 27:57
  buildings
• 27:57
  continue
• 27:58
  to
• 27:58
  get
• 27:58
  more
• 27:58
  and
• 27:59
  more
• 27:59
  airtight
• 28:00
  due
• 28:00
  building
• 28:01
  code
• 28:01
  changes,
• 28:02
  there's
• 28:02
  all
• 28:02
  these
• 28:03
  government
• 28:03
  mandates
• 28:04
  to
• 28:04
  get
• 28:04
  tighter
• 28:04
  and
• 28:05
  tighter
• 28:05
  and
• 28:05
  eventually
• 28:06
  achieve
• 28:06
  net
• 28:07
  zero,
• 28:07
  for
• 28:07
  example,
• 28:08
  or
• 28:09
  just
• 28:09
  higher
• 28:09
  performing
• 28:10
  home.
• 28:10
  And
• 28:11
  so
• 28:11
  increasingly
• 28:12
  that's
• 28:12
  more
• 28:12
  and
• 28:13
  more
• 28:13
  airtightness.
• 28:14
  And
• 28:14
  as
• 28:14
  we
• 28:14
  get
• 28:15
  more
• 28:15
  and
• 28:15
  more
• 28:15
  tight
• 28:16
  homes,
• 28:16
  it's
• 28:17
  only
• 28:17
  more
• 28:17
  apparent
• 28:18
  that
• 28:18
  we
• 28:18
  need
• 28:18
  to
• 28:19
  provide
• 28:19
  ventilation
• 28:20
  or
• 28:20
  adequate
• 28:20
  ventilation
• 28:21
  within
• 28:21
  these
• 28:22
  spaces.
• 28:22
  And
• 28:23
  the
• 28:23
  current
• 28:23
  methods
• 28:23
  that
• 28:23
  we
• 28:24
  do
• 28:24
  it
• 28:24
  right
• 28:24
  now
• 28:25
  involve
• 28:26
  using
• 28:26
  HRV
• 28:27
  systems
• 28:27
  or
• 28:28
  ERV
• 28:29
  systems
• 28:29
  and
• 28:30
  designing
• 28:31
  ventilation
• 28:31
  pathways
• 28:32
  and
• 28:32
  to
• 28:32
  the
• 28:32
  bedrooms,
• 28:33
  exhausting
• 28:34
  from
• 28:34
  the
• 28:34
  bathrooms
• 28:35
  and
• 28:35
  living
• 28:35
  rooms.
• 28:36
  And
• 28:36
  so
• 28:36
  we're
• 28:37
  going
• 28:37
  to
• 28:37
  get
• 28:37
  into
• 28:38
  not
• 28:39
  only
• 28:39
  the
• 28:39
  cost
• 28:40
  of
• 28:40
  materials,
• 28:40
  but
• 28:41
  also
• 28:41
  the
• 28:41
  design
• 28:42
  of
• 28:43
  all
• 28:43
  those
• 28:43
  homes
• 28:43
  and
• 28:44
  all
• 28:44
  those
• 28:44
  ventilation
• 28:44
  systems.
• 28:45
  And
• 28:46
  we
• 28:46
  really
• 28:46
  think
• 28:46
  that
• 28:47
  we
• 28:47
  can
• 28:47
  play
• 28:47
  a
• 28:47
  part
• 28:48
  in
• 28:48
  that
• 28:48
  and
• 28:49
  simplify
• 28:49
  that.
• 28:49
  Right.
• 28:50
  To
• 28:50
  have
• 28:50
  a
• 28:50
  solution
• 28:51
  that
• 28:52
  allows
• 28:53
  those
• 28:53
  systems
• 28:53
  to
• 28:54
  work
• 28:54
  as
• 28:54
  intended
• 28:55
  and
• 28:56
  have
• 28:56
  an
• 28:57
  aesthetically
• 28:57
  pleasing
• 28:58
  solution
• 28:58
  for
• 28:58
  the
• 28:59
  homeowner
• 29:00
  and
• 29:00
  to
• 29:00
  have
• 29:00
  that
• 29:00
  sound
• 29:01
  privacy
• 29:01
  as
• 29:01
  well.
• 29:02
  Because
• 29:02
  as
• 29:03
  we
• 29:03
  get
• 29:03
  more
• 29:03
  and
• 29:03
  more
• 29:03
  airtight,
• 29:04
  more
• 29:04
  and
• 29:04
  more
• 29:04
  insulated.
• 29:05
  The
• 29:06
  background
• 29:06
  noise
• 29:06
  is
• 29:06
  also
• 29:07
  very
• 29:07
  low
• 29:07
  in
• 29:08
  homes
• 29:08
  like
• 29:08
  that.
• 29:09
  And
• 29:09
  so
• 29:09
  a
• 29:09
  lot
• 29:10
  of
• 29:10
  our
• 29:10
  customers
• 29:11
  who
• 29:11
  have
• 29:11
  done
• 29:12
  these
• 29:12
  higher
• 29:13
  performing
• 29:13
  homes
• 29:14
  with
• 29:14
  regular
• 29:14
  doors
• 29:15
  and
• 29:15
  3/4
• 29:16
  inch
• 29:16
  undercuts,
• 29:17
  they
• 29:17
  find
• 29:17
  themselves
• 29:18
  At
• 29:18
  a
• 29:18
  loss
• 29:18
  when
• 29:19
  they
• 29:19
  finally
• 29:19
  move
• 29:19
  in
• 29:20
  and
• 29:20
  they're
• 29:20
  excited
• 29:20
  about
• 29:20
  their
• 29:21
  home,
• 29:21
  but
• 29:21
  then
• 29:22
  they
• 29:22
  hear
• 29:22
  everything
• 29:22
  inside
• 29:23
  their
• 29:23
  house.
• 29:23
  Yes.
• 29:24
  And
• 29:25
  so
• 29:25
  we
• 29:25
  think
• 29:25
  that
• 29:26
  that's
• 29:26
  the
• 29:26
  next
• 29:27
  sift
• 29:27
  for
• 29:27
  us
• 29:28
  is
• 29:28
  to
• 29:28
  be
• 29:28
  a
• 29:28
  resource
• 29:29
  to
• 29:30
  all
• 29:30
  future
• 29:31
  home
• 29:31
  building
• 29:32
  in
• 29:32
  terms
• 29:32
  of
• 29:32
  ventilation
• 29:33
  and
• 29:33
  acoustics.
• 29:34
  I
• 29:35
  completely
• 29:35
  agree.
• 29:35
  And
• 29:36
  I
• 29:36
  think
• 29:36
  one
• 29:36
  thing
• 29:36
  that
• 29:37
  we've
• 29:37
  got
• 29:37
  right
• 29:37
  now,
• 29:38
  especially
• 29:38
  in
• 29:38
  the
• 29:38
  US
• 29:39
  is
• 29:39
  that
• 29:40
  our
• 29:41
  energy
• 29:41
  code
• 29:42
  for
• 29:42
  making
• 29:42
  our
• 29:43
  homes
• 29:43
  energy
• 29:44
  efficient
• 29:45
  has
• 29:45
  outperformed
• 29:46
  the
• 29:46
  ability
• 29:47
  to
• 29:47
  keep
• 29:47
  them
• 29:48
  healthy
• 29:48
  on
• 29:48
  the
• 29:49
  inside.
• 29:49
  And
• 29:50
  we
• 29:50
  have
• 29:50
  somewhat
• 29:52
  of
• 29:53
  a
• 29:53
  system
• 29:53
  right
• 29:53
  now
• 29:53
  in
• 29:54
  our
• 29:54
  codes
• 29:54
  that
• 29:54
  are
• 29:55
  not
• 29:55
  in
• 29:55
  balance.
• 29:56
  So
• 29:57
  if
• 29:57
  you
• 29:58
  follow
• 29:58
  the
• 29:58
  building
• 29:58
  code,
• 29:59
  sometimes
• 29:59
  you're
• 29:59
  making
• 30:00
  the
• 30:00
  house
• 30:00
  a
• 30:00
  little
• 30:01
  less
• 30:01
  healthy
• 30:01
  on
• 30:02
  the
• 30:02
  inside.
• 30:03
  And
• 30:03
  I
• 30:03
  think
• 30:04
  your
• 30:04
  guys
• 30:04
  product
• 30:05
  really
• 30:05
  helps
• 30:05
  balance
• 30:06
  that
• 30:06
  out.
• 30:06
  Because
• 30:06
  now
• 30:07
  we're
• 30:07
  talking
• 30:07
  about
• 30:07
  ventilation
• 30:08
  within
• 30:08
  the
• 30:08
  home.
• 30:09
  That
• 30:09
  energy
• 30:10
  code
• 30:10
  doesn't
• 30:11
  even
• 30:11
  discuss
• 30:12
  that.
• 30:12
  It's
• 30:12
  just
• 30:12
  trying
• 30:13
  to
• 30:13
  keep
• 30:13
  everything
• 30:14
  inside,
• 30:15
  inside
• 30:16
  and
• 30:16
  everything
• 30:16
  outside,
• 30:17
  outside.
• 30:17
  And
• 30:17
  we'll
• 30:18
  fix
• 30:18
  it
• 30:18
  with
• 30:18
  a
• 30:19
  HRV
• 30:20
  or
• 30:20
  an
• 30:20
  ERV
• 30:21
  and
• 30:21
  that'll
• 30:21
  be
• 30:21
  good
• 30:21
  to
• 30:21
  go.
• 30:22
  But
• 30:22
  if
• 30:22
  the
• 30:22
  doors
• 30:22
  are
• 30:22
  all
• 30:23
  sealed
• 30:23
  up,
• 30:24
  you've
• 30:24
  got
• 30:24
  one
• 30:24
  room
• 30:25
  where
• 30:25
  the
• 30:25
  ERV
• 30:26
  system
• 30:26
  or
• 30:26
  HRV
• 30:27
  system
• 30:27
  is
• 30:28
  that's
• 30:28
  doing
• 30:28
  good.
• 30:29
  But
• 30:29
  maybe
• 30:29
  the
• 30:29
  air's
• 30:30
  not
• 30:30
  moving
• 30:30
  around
• 30:30
  like
• 30:30
  you
• 30:30
  think
• 30:30
  it
• 30:31
  is.
• 30:31
  That's
• 30:31
  right.
• 30:32
  We've
• 30:32
  done
• 30:33
  case
• 30:33
  studies
• 30:33
  on
• 30:34
  this
• 30:34
  as
• 30:34
  well,
• 30:34
  predominantly
• 30:35
  in
• 30:36
  the
• 30:36
  multifamily
• 30:37
  arena.
• 30:38
  And
• 30:39
  it's
• 30:39
  not
• 30:40
  always
• 30:40
  as
• 30:40
  how
• 30:41
  the
• 30:41
  systems
• 30:41
  were
• 30:41
  designed.
• 30:42
  And
• 30:42
  if
• 30:42
  you
• 30:42
  can
• 30:42
  help
• 30:43
  alleviate
• 30:44
  any
• 30:44
  of
• 30:44
  those
• 30:44
  pressure
• 30:44
  differentials
• 30:45
  and
• 30:46
  temperature
• 30:46
  differentials,
• 30:47
  it
• 30:47
  only
• 30:47
  helps
• 30:47
  to
• 30:47
  improve
• 30:48
  the
• 30:48
  comfort
• 30:48
  of
• 30:49
  the
• 30:49
  home.
• 30:49
  Yeah,
• 30:50
  that
• 30:50
  makes
• 30:51
  so
• 30:51
  much
• 30:51
  sense.
• 30:52
  And
• 30:53
  it
• 30:53
  really
• 30:54
  just
• 30:54
  makes
• 30:54
  for
• 30:54
  a
• 30:54
  more
• 30:54
  comfortable
• 30:55
  and
• 30:55
  healthy
• 30:55
  home.
• 30:56
  So
• 30:56
  I
• 30:56
  think
• 30:56
  this
• 30:56
  is
• 30:56
  just
• 30:57
  such
• 30:57
  a
• 30:57
  brilliant
• 30:57
  way
• 30:58
  to
• 30:58
  go.
• 30:58
  And
• 30:59
  how
• 30:59
  did
• 30:59
  you
• 30:59
  come
• 31:00
  up
• 31:00
  with
• 31:00
  this
• 31:00
  design?
• 31:01
  I
• 31:01
  gotta
• 31:01
  ask
• 31:02
  that
• 31:02
  before
• 31:02
  we
• 31:02
  go,
• 31:03
  because
• 31:03
  this
• 31:04
  is
• 31:04
  one
• 31:04
  of
• 31:04
  those
• 31:04
  things
• 31:04
  that
• 31:05
  for
• 31:05
  you
• 31:05
  guys
• 31:05
  to
• 31:05
  sit
• 31:06
  there
• 31:06
  and
• 31:06
  say,
• 31:06
  hey,
• 31:06
  we're
• 31:07
  gonna
• 31:07
  reinvent
• 31:07
  the
• 31:08
  doors
• 31:08
  is
• 31:09
  pretty,
• 31:09
  pretty
• 31:10
  substantial
• 31:11
  in
• 31:11
  the
• 31:11
  world
• 31:11
  of
• 31:11
  design.
• 31:12
  Yeah,
• 31:12
  it
• 31:13
  was
• 31:13
  quite
• 31:13
  an
• 31:13
  interesting
• 31:14
  story.
• 31:14
  Myself
• 31:15
  and
• 31:15
  a
• 31:15
  classmate
• 31:16
  envisioned
• 31:17
  this
• 31:17
  product
• 31:17
  out
• 31:17
  of
• 31:17
  university
• 31:18
  and
• 31:19
  by
• 31:19
  the
• 31:19
  time
• 31:19
  we
• 31:20
  had
• 31:20
  graduated
• 31:21
  we
• 31:21
  had
• 31:21
  a
• 31:21
  number
• 31:21
  of
• 31:22
  orders
• 31:22
  through
• 31:22
  the
• 31:23
  university
• 31:23
  and
• 31:23
  from
• 31:24
  other
• 31:24
  customers.
• 31:25
  And
• 31:25
  so
• 31:26
  we
• 31:26
  out
• 31:27
  of
• 31:27
  graduation,
• 31:27
  we
• 31:27
  rented
• 31:28
  a
• 31:28
  wood
• 31:28
  shop
• 31:28
  and
• 31:29
  started
• 31:29
  making
• 31:29
  these
• 31:29
  doors
• 31:30
  ourselves.
• 31:30
  Because
• 31:31
  again,
• 31:31
  architects
• 31:32
  and
• 31:32
  designers
• 31:33
  and
• 31:33
  people
• 31:34
  that
• 31:34
  we
• 31:34
  were
• 31:34
  talking
• 31:34
  with
• 31:35
  just
• 31:35
  didn't
• 31:35
  like
• 31:36
  door
• 31:36
  grills.
• 31:37
  And
• 31:37
  they
• 31:37
  didn't
• 31:37
  like
• 31:37
  it
• 31:37
  enough
• 31:38
  that
• 31:38
  they
• 31:38
  wanted
• 31:39
  a
• 31:39
  product.
• 31:40
  And
• 31:40
  we've
• 31:41
  iterated
• 31:42
  over
• 31:42
  the,
• 31:42
  over
• 31:42
  the
• 31:43
  years
• 31:43
  we
• 31:43
  linked
• 31:44
  up
• 31:44
  with
• 31:44
  partnering
• 31:45
  manufacturers
• 31:45
  that
• 31:46
  helped
• 31:46
  us
• 31:46
  got
• 31:47
  get
• 31:47
  us
• 31:47
  to
• 31:47
  market.
• 31:48
  We
• 31:48
  have
• 31:48
  our
• 31:48
  own
• 31:49
  facility
• 31:50
  as
• 31:50
  well
• 31:50
  to
• 31:50
  produce
• 31:51
  these
• 31:51
  stores.
• 31:52
  And
• 31:52
  we
• 31:52
  find
• 31:53
  ourselves
• 31:53
  now
• 31:54
  over
• 31:54
  30,000
• 31:55
  doors
• 31:55
  installed
• 31:56
  predominantly
• 31:57
  on
• 31:57
  the
• 31:57
  west
• 31:57
  coast.
• 31:58
  And
• 31:58
  we're
• 31:58
  looking
• 31:58
  to
• 31:59
  grow
• 31:59
  that
• 31:59
  across
• 32:00
  the
• 32:00
  nation.
• 32:00
  Yeah.
• 32:01
  So
• 32:01
  smart.
• 32:02
  So
• 32:02
  smart.
• 32:03
  So,
• 32:03
  Vic,
• 32:03
  one
• 32:04
  more
• 32:04
  time.
• 32:04
  What's
• 32:05
  the
• 32:05
  best
• 32:05
  way
• 32:05
  for
• 32:05
  people
• 32:06
  to
• 32:06
  find
• 32:06
  you
• 32:06
  guys
• 32:06
  on
• 32:06
  the
• 32:07
  web?
• 32:07
  So
• 32:07
  people
• 32:07
  that
• 32:08
  are
• 32:08
  listening
• 32:08
  right
• 32:08
  now
• 32:09
  that
• 32:09
  are.
• 32:09
  That
• 32:09
  are
• 32:10
  salivating,
• 32:10
  going,
• 32:10
  I
• 32:11
  just
• 32:11
  found
• 32:11
  a
• 32:11
  solution
• 32:12
  for
• 32:12
  my
• 32:12
  home.
• 32:13
  What's
• 32:13
  the
• 32:13
  best
• 32:13
  way
• 32:13
  for
• 32:13
  them
• 32:14
  to
• 32:14
  find
• 32:14
  you?
• 32:15
  It's
• 32:15
  vanardesign.com
• 32:17
  Man,
• 32:17
  Vic,
• 32:17
  thanks
• 32:18
  for

  I

  don't

  is

  it's

• 34:36
  Can't

• 34:36
  to
• 34:36

• 34:37
  mine
• 34:37
  in
• 34:37
  here
• 34:37
  in
• 34:37
  the
• 34:37
  next
• 34:37

• 34:38
  or
• 34:38
  so
• 34:38
  at
• 34:38
  my
• 34:38
  house.
• 34:39
  So
• 34:39
  it's
• 34:39
  going
• 34:39
  to
• 34:39
  be
• 34:39
  a
• 34:39
  lot
• 34:39
  of
• 34:40
  fun.
• 34:40
  Now,
• 34:41
  I
• 34:41
  wanted
• 34:41
  to
• 34:41
  talk
• 34:42
  this
• 34:42
  segment
• 34:42
  about
• 34:43
  all
• 34:43
  of
• 34:43
  you
• 34:44
  people
• 34:44
  out
• 34:44
  there
• 34:44
  that
• 34:45
  have
• 34:45
  a
• 34:45
  crawl
• 34:46
  space.
• 34:47
  Now,
• 34:47
  I
• 34:47
  know
• 34:47
  there's
• 34:48
  a
• 34:48
  lot
• 34:48
  of
• 34:48
  people
• 34:48
  out
• 34:48
  there
• 34:49
  that
• 34:49
  go,
• 34:49
  we
• 34:49
  build
• 34:49
  slab
• 34:50
  on
• 34:50
  grade.
• 34:50
  It
• 34:50
  is
• 34:50
  a
• 34:51
  concrete
• 34:51
  pad
• 34:52
  on
• 34:52
  the
• 34:52
  ground,
• 34:53
  and
• 34:53
  we
• 34:53
  build
• 34:53
  up
• 34:53
  from
• 34:53
  there.
• 34:54
  And
• 34:54
  you
• 34:54
  know
• 34:54
  something?
• 34:55
  Maybe
• 34:55
  this
• 34:55
  segment
• 34:55
  isn't
• 34:56
  for
• 34:56
  you,
• 34:57
  but
• 34:57
  there's
• 34:57
  a
• 34:57
  lot
• 34:57
  of
• 34:57
  places
• 34:58
  in
• 34:58
  the
• 34:58
  country
• 34:58
  that
• 34:59
  this,
• 34:59
  this
• 34:59
  is
• 34:59
  one
• 35:00
  of
• 35:00
  the
• 35:00
  most
• 35:00
  popular
• 35:01
  ways
• 35:01
  to
• 35:01
  build.
• 35:02
  And
• 35:03
  for
• 35:03
  you
• 35:03
  guys
• 35:04
  out
• 35:04
  there,
• 35:04
  it
• 35:04
  is
• 35:05
  something
• 35:05
  that
• 35:05
  you
• 35:05
  need
• 35:05
  to
• 35:06
  pay
• 35:06
  a
• 35:07
  lot
• 35:07
  of
• 35:07
  attention
• 35:07
  to
• 35:08
  because
• 35:09
  there
• 35:09
  are
• 35:09
  so
• 35:09
  many
• 35:10
  things
• 35:10
  that
• 35:10
  can
• 35:10
  go
• 35:10
  wrong
• 35:10
  in
• 35:11
  a
• 35:11
  crawl
• 35:11
  space
• 35:11
  that
• 35:11
  you
• 35:12
  should
• 35:12
  be
• 35:12
  paying
• 35:12
  attention
• 35:12
  to.
• 35:13
  And
• 35:14
  I
• 35:14
  have
• 35:14
  seen
• 35:15
  some
• 35:15
  disaster
• 35:16
  crawl
• 35:16
  spaces
• 35:17
  out
• 35:17
  there.
• 35:17
  But
• 35:17
  the
• 35:17
  first
• 35:18
  thing
• 35:18
  you
• 35:18
  should
• 35:18
  be.
• 35:18
  Doing
• 35:19
  with
• 35:19
  a
• 35:20
  crawl
• 35:20
  space
• 35:20
  is
• 35:21
  making
• 35:21
  sure
• 35:21
  every
• 35:22
  few
• 35:22
  months
• 35:22
  you're
• 35:22
  sticking
• 35:23
  your
• 35:23
  head
• 35:23
  down
• 35:23
  there
• 35:24
  and
• 35:24
  seeing
• 35:25
  if
• 35:25
  there's
• 35:25
  water,
• 35:26
  rodents,
• 35:27
  that
• 35:27
  kind
• 35:27
  of
• 35:27
  thing.
• 35:27
  Because
• 35:28
  here's
• 35:29
  what
• 35:29
  happens.
• 35:29
  If
• 35:29
  you
• 35:30
  let
• 35:30
  that
• 35:30
  go
• 35:30
  to
• 35:30
  pot
• 35:31
  down
• 35:31
  there.
• 35:32
  And
• 35:32
  if
• 35:32
  it
• 35:32
  gets
• 35:33
  moisture,
• 35:34
  mold,
• 35:34
  standing
• 35:35
  water,
• 35:35
  that
• 35:36
  moisture's
• 35:36
  gonna
• 35:37
  come
• 35:37
  up
• 35:37
  in
• 35:37
  your
• 35:37
  house
• 35:38
  through
• 35:38
  the
• 35:38
  crawl
• 35:38
  space.
• 35:39
  Cause
• 35:40
  I
• 35:40
  think
• 35:40
  over
• 35:40
  60%
• 35:41
  of
• 35:41
  that
• 35:41
  air
• 35:41
  that's
• 35:42
  down
• 35:42
  there
• 35:42
  works
• 35:43
  its
• 35:43
  way
• 35:43
  up
• 35:43
  into
• 35:44
  your
• 35:44
  house.
• 35:45
  So
• 35:45
  it's
• 35:45
  gonna
• 35:46
  naturally
• 35:46
  rise
• 35:46
  up
• 35:46
  to
• 35:46
  the
• 35:47
  floor.
• 35:47
  Cause
• 35:47
  there's
• 35:47
  not
• 35:47
  really
• 35:48
  a
• 35:48
  vapor
• 35:48
  barrier
• 35:48
  there
• 35:49
  between
• 35:49
  the
• 35:49
  floor,
• 35:50
  between
• 35:50
  that
• 35:51
  air
• 35:51
  and
• 35:51
  the
• 35:51
  system.
• 35:52
  And
• 35:53
  what
• 35:53
  happens
• 35:53
  is
• 35:54
  that
• 35:54
  raises
• 35:54
  up
• 35:54
  through
• 35:54
  and
• 35:55
  then
• 35:55
  it
• 35:55
  collects
• 35:55
  up
• 35:55
  in
• 35:55
  the
• 35:55
  attic
• 35:56
  space
• 35:56
  up
• 35:56
  there.
• 35:56
  And
• 35:57
  many
• 35:57
  times
• 35:57
  that
• 35:57
  grows
• 35:58
  into
• 35:58
  mold.
• 35:58
  Because
• 35:59
  the
• 35:59
  roofing
• 35:59
  material
• 36:00
  gap
• 36:00
  captures
• 36:01
  it
• 36:01
  up
• 36:01
  there.
• 36:01
  And
• 36:02
  you
• 36:02
  don't
• 36:02
  typically
• 36:03
  have
• 36:03
  enough
• 36:03
  ventilation
• 36:04
  to
• 36:04
  get
• 36:04
  that
• 36:04
  out.
• 36:05
  So
• 36:06
  that
• 36:06
  attic
• 36:07
  space
• 36:07
  up
• 36:07
  there
• 36:08
  can
• 36:08
  be
• 36:08
  moldy
• 36:08
  just
• 36:09
  because
• 36:09
  of
• 36:09
  what's
• 36:09
  going
• 36:09
  down
• 36:10
  in
• 36:10
  your
• 36:10
  crawl
• 36:10
  space.
• 36:11
  Because
• 36:11
  it's
• 36:11
  passive
• 36:12
  all
• 36:12
  the
• 36:12
  way
• 36:12
  up
• 36:12
  through
• 36:13
  there.
• 36:13
  And
• 36:14
  so
• 36:14
  really
• 36:14
  stay
• 36:14
  on
• 36:15
  top
• 36:15
  of
• 36:15
  that.
• 36:15
  Now
• 36:15
  here's
• 36:16
  the
• 36:16
  good
• 36:16
  news.
• 36:16
  If
• 36:16
  you're
• 36:16
  like,
• 36:17
  I
• 36:17
  am
• 36:17
  not
• 36:17
  going
• 36:18
  in
• 36:18
  that
• 36:18
  crawl
• 36:18
  space.
• 36:19
  It's
• 36:20
  dirty.
• 36:20
  There's
• 36:20
  spiders,
• 36:21
  there's
• 36:22
  rodents,
• 36:23
  I'm
• 36:23
  claustrophobic,
• 36:24
  whatever
• 36:25
  that
• 36:25
  is,
• 36:26
  have
• 36:26
  a
• 36:27
  company
• 36:27
  come
• 36:27
  in
• 36:28
  and
• 36:29
  do
• 36:29
  a
• 36:29
  crawl
• 36:29
  space
• 36:30
  inspection.
• 36:31
  Take
• 36:31
  a
• 36:31
  look
• 36:31
  at
• 36:32
  it.
• 36:33
  That
• 36:33
  is
• 36:33
  the
• 36:34
  thing
• 36:34
  to
• 36:34
  making
• 36:34
  sure
• 36:34
  that
• 36:35
  that
• 36:35
  is
• 36:35
  a
• 36:35
  clean
• 36:35
  space
• 36:36
  down
• 36:36
  there.
• 36:36
  And
• 36:37
  when
• 36:37
  in
• 36:37
  doubt,
• 36:37
  if
• 36:37
  you
• 36:38
  don't
• 36:38
  have
• 36:38
  the
• 36:38
  ability
• 36:38
  to
• 36:38
  go
• 36:38
  down
• 36:39
  there,
• 36:39
  hire
• 36:39
  somebody
• 36:39
  to
• 36:40
  go
• 36:40
  down
• 36:40
  and
• 36:40
  do
• 36:40
  it.
• 36:40
  Many
• 36:40
  times
• 36:41
  these
• 36:41
  crawl
• 36:41
  space
• 36:42
  companies
• 36:42
  will
• 36:43
  go
• 36:43
  down
• 36:43
  there
• 36:44
  and
• 36:44
  they
• 36:44
  will
• 36:44
  give
• 36:45
  you
• 36:45
  a
• 36:45
  free
• 36:45
  estimate.
• 36:46
  I
• 36:46
  don't
• 36:46
  know
• 36:46
  if
• 36:46
  they're
• 36:46
  going
• 36:46
  to
• 36:46
  do
• 36:46
  an
• 36:46
  inspection
• 36:47
  for
• 36:47
  you
• 36:47
  every
• 36:47
  year,
• 36:48
  but
• 36:48
  take
• 36:48
  a
• 36:49
  look
• 36:49
  at
• 36:49
  it
• 36:49
  and
• 36:49
  see.
• 36:50
  Now,
• 36:51
  I
• 36:51
  believe
• 36:52
  that
• 36:52
  really
• 36:52
  you
• 36:52
  should
• 36:53
  do
• 36:53
  the
• 36:53
  best
• 36:53
  you
• 36:53
  can
• 36:54
  to
• 36:55
  keep
• 36:55
  that
• 36:55
  clean.
• 36:55
  Sometimes
• 36:56
  all
• 36:56
  you
• 36:56
  need
• 36:57
  down
• 36:57
  there
• 36:58
  is
• 36:58
  some
• 36:58
  really
• 36:58
  good
• 36:59
  thick
• 37:00
  vapor
• 37:00
  barrier
• 37:00
  down
• 37:01
  there,
• 37:02
  some
• 37:02
  really
• 37:02
  thick
• 37:03
  plastic.
• 37:04
  And
• 37:04
  I
• 37:04
  recommend
• 37:05
  taping
• 37:05
  that
• 37:06
  in
• 37:06
  between
• 37:06
  the
• 37:06
  seams
• 37:07
  so
• 37:07
  you
• 37:07
  don't
• 37:07
  have
• 37:08
  to
• 37:08
  worry
• 37:08
  about
• 37:08
  the
• 37:08
  moisture
• 37:08
  coming
• 37:09
  up
• 37:09
  through
• 37:09
  the
• 37:09
  ground.
• 37:10
  Now,
• 37:10
  the
• 37:10
  ultimate
• 37:11
  be
• 37:11
  all
• 37:11
  that
• 37:12
  many
• 37:12
  of
• 37:12
  these
• 37:12
  crawl
• 37:12
  space
• 37:13
  companies
• 37:13
  will
• 37:13
  sell
• 37:13
  you
• 37:14
  is
• 37:14
  an
• 37:14
  encapsulation.
• 37:15
  And
• 37:15
  what
• 37:15
  that
• 37:16
  is
• 37:16
  is
• 37:17
  they
• 37:17
  go
• 37:17
  in
• 37:17
  there
• 37:18
  and
• 37:18
  seal
• 37:18
  up
• 37:20
  the
• 37:20
  crawl
• 37:20
  space.
• 37:21
  So
• 37:21
  they
• 37:21
  go
• 37:21
  in
• 37:21
  there
• 37:22
  and
• 37:22
  basically
• 37:22
  hermetically
• 37:23
  seal
• 37:24
  so
• 37:24
  there's
• 37:24
  absolutely
• 37:25
  no
• 37:25
  moisture,
• 37:26
  air,
• 37:26
  radon,
• 37:26
  whatever,
• 37:27
  coming
• 37:27
  up
• 37:27
  through
• 37:28
  that
• 37:28
  space.
• 37:29
  Now,
• 37:30
  there's
• 37:30
  companies
• 37:30
  that
• 37:31
  do
• 37:31
  this
• 37:31
  well.
• 37:31
  There's
• 37:32
  companies
• 37:32
  that
• 37:32
  don't
• 37:32
  do
• 37:33
  this
• 37:33
  well.
• 37:34
  And
• 37:34
  that's
• 37:34
  something
• 37:35
  to
• 37:35
  take
• 37:35
  a
• 37:35
  look
• 37:35
  at.
• 37:36
  I
• 37:36
  can
• 37:36
  go
• 37:37
  on
• 37:37
  many
• 37:37
  crawl
• 37:38
  space
• 37:38
  companies
• 37:39
  websites
• 37:39
  and
• 37:40
  take
• 37:40
  a
• 37:40
  look
• 37:40
  at
• 37:40
  their
• 37:40
  pictures
• 37:41
  and
• 37:41
  go,
• 37:41
  they're
• 37:42
  doing
• 37:42
  it
• 37:42
  wrong.
• 37:44
  And
• 37:44
  that's
• 37:44
  a
• 37:44
  Big
• 37:44
  issue.
• 37:45
  So
• 37:46
  you
• 37:46
  think
• 37:46
  about
• 37:46
  it,
• 37:46
  you're
• 37:46
  gonna
• 37:46
  go
• 37:47
  down
• 37:47
  in
• 37:47
  the
• 37:47
  crawl
• 37:47
  space,
• 37:47
  they're
• 37:48
  gonna
• 37:48
  go
• 37:48
  down
• 37:48
  there
• 37:49
  and
• 37:50
  wrap
• 37:50
  it
• 37:50
  in
• 37:51
  a,
• 37:51
  you
• 37:51
  know,
• 37:51
  sealed
• 37:52
  up
• 37:52
  plastic.
• 37:53
  But
• 37:53
  you
• 37:53
  need
• 37:54
  to
• 37:54
  make
• 37:54
  sure
• 37:54
  that
• 37:54
  there
• 37:55
  is
• 37:55
  no
• 37:55
  wood
• 37:56
  between
• 37:57
  that
• 37:57
  moisture
• 37:58
  and
• 37:58
  the
• 37:58
  plastic.
• 38:00
  So
• 38:00
  if
• 38:00
  you
• 38:00
  see
• 38:00
  them
• 38:01
  wrapping
• 38:01
  up
• 38:02
  the
• 38:02
  posts,
• 38:03
  guess
• 38:03
  what?
• 38:04
  That
• 38:05
  wood
• 38:05
  post
• 38:05
  that
• 38:05
  is
• 38:06
  holding
• 38:06
  up
• 38:06
  your
• 38:06
  ground,
• 38:07
  holding
• 38:08
  up
• 38:08
  here,
• 38:08
  you
• 38:08
  know,
• 38:08
  holding
• 38:09
  up
• 38:09
  the
• 38:09
  building
• 38:09
  off
• 38:10
  the
• 38:10
  ground,
• 38:10
  sorry.
• 38:11
  Is
• 38:12
  now
• 38:13
  encapsulated
• 38:14
  with
• 38:14
  the
• 38:14
  moisture.
• 38:16
  So
• 38:16
  I
• 38:16
  want
• 38:17
  to
• 38:17
  make
• 38:17
  sure
• 38:17
  that
• 38:18
  the
• 38:18
  plastic
• 38:18
  goes
• 38:19
  under
• 38:19
  the
• 38:20
  posts
• 38:20
  down
• 38:20
  there
• 38:21
  or
• 38:21
  around
• 38:22
  the
• 38:22
  concrete.
• 38:22
  So
• 38:23
  it's
• 38:23
  not
• 38:24
  coming
• 38:24
  up
• 38:24
  through
• 38:24
  there.
• 38:25
  If
• 38:25
  you
• 38:25
  wrap
• 38:26
  any
• 38:26
  of
• 38:26
  the
• 38:27
  posts
• 38:28
  around
• 38:29
  it
• 38:29
  with
• 38:29
  the
• 38:29
  plastic,
• 38:30
  and
• 38:30
  the
• 38:30
  plastic
• 38:31
  is
• 38:31
  now
• 38:31
  between,
• 38:32
  you
• 38:32
  know,
• 38:33
  it's
• 38:34
  plastic
• 38:35
  post
• 38:36
  dirt,
• 38:37
  you
• 38:37
  got
• 38:37
  a
• 38:37
  problem
• 38:38
  that
• 38:38
  is
• 38:38
  incorrectly
• 38:39
  done
• 38:39
  and
• 38:40
  that
• 38:40
  can
• 38:40
  get
• 38:40
  really
• 38:40
  expensive
• 38:41
  because
• 38:41
  that
• 38:41
  can
• 38:41
  promote
• 38:42
  rotten
• 38:42
  within
• 38:43
  that.
• 38:43
  So
• 38:44
  the
• 38:44
  any
• 38:45
  of
• 38:45
  the
• 38:45
  wood
• 38:45
  pieces
• 38:45
  need
• 38:46
  to
• 38:46
  be
• 38:46
  on
• 38:46
  the
• 38:46
  living
• 38:47
  side
• 38:47
  of
• 38:47
  that,
• 38:48
  not
• 38:48
  on
• 38:48
  the
• 38:49
  crawl
• 38:49
  space,
• 38:50
  dirt
• 38:50
  side
• 38:51
  of
• 38:51
  it.
• 38:52
  So
• 38:52
  make
• 38:52
  sure
• 38:53
  that
• 38:53
  the
• 38:53
  posts
• 38:54
  are
• 38:54
  in
• 38:54
  the
• 38:54
  conditioned
• 38:55
  air.
• 38:55
  All
• 38:55
  the
• 38:55
  wood
• 38:56
  should
• 38:56
  be
• 38:56
  on
• 38:56
  the
• 38:57
  conditioned
• 38:57
  side.
• 38:58
  Now
• 38:58
  the
• 38:58
  other
• 38:59
  thing
• 38:59
  is,
• 38:59
  is
• 38:59
  when
• 38:59
  you're
• 39:00
  doing
• 39:00
  a
• 39:00
  crawl
• 39:00
  space
• 39:00
  like
• 39:01
  that,
• 39:01
  if
• 39:01
  you're
• 39:01
  going
• 39:01
  to
• 39:02
  encapsulate
• 39:03
  it,
• 39:03
  there's
• 39:04
  two
• 39:04
  things
• 39:04
  that
• 39:04
  either
• 39:04
  have
• 39:05
  to
• 39:05
  happen.
• 39:05
  One,
• 39:06
  you
• 39:06
  have
• 39:06
  to
• 39:07
  condition
• 39:07
  that
• 39:07
  and
• 39:08
  run
• 39:08
  air
• 39:08
  ducts
• 39:08
  down
• 39:09
  into
• 39:09
  there
• 39:09
  and
• 39:09
  treat
• 39:09
  it
• 39:10
  like
• 39:10
  the
• 39:10
  rest
• 39:10
  of
• 39:10
  the
• 39:10
  house.
• 39:11
  Or
• 39:11
  you
• 39:12
  should
• 39:12
  be
• 39:12
  installing
• 39:12
  in
• 39:13
  a
• 39:13
  dehumidifier
• 39:14
  so
• 39:15
  that
• 39:15
  you
• 39:15
  don't
• 39:15
  have
• 39:16
  trapped
• 39:16
  air
• 39:16
  down
• 39:16
  there
• 39:16
  that's
• 39:17
  going
• 39:17
  to
• 39:18
  cause
• 39:18
  mold
• 39:19
  condensation,
• 39:20
  anything
• 39:20
  else.
• 39:21
  So
• 39:21
  really
• 39:22
  take
• 39:22
  a
• 39:22
  look
• 39:22
  at
• 39:22
  that
• 39:22
  and
• 39:23
  make
• 39:23
  sure.
• 39:23
  And
• 39:23
  I'm
• 39:24
  not
• 39:24
  talking
• 39:24
  about
• 39:24
  one
• 39:24
  of
• 39:24
  those
• 39:25
  portable
• 39:25
  ones.
• 39:25
  It
• 39:25
  should
• 39:26
  be
• 39:26
  a
• 39:26
  built
• 39:27
  in
• 39:28
  dehumidifier.
• 39:29
  So
• 39:30
  built
• 39:30
  in,
• 39:30
  wired
• 39:31
  in
• 39:31
  hard,
• 39:32
  make
• 39:32
  sure
• 39:32
  you've
• 39:33
  got
• 39:33
  a
• 39:33
  drain
• 39:33
  line
• 39:33
  that
• 39:34
  goes
• 39:34
  out
• 39:34
  and
• 39:35
  drains
• 39:35
  off
• 39:35
  into
• 39:36
  something
• 39:36
  to
• 39:37
  get
• 39:37
  the
• 39:37
  water
• 39:37
  well
• 39:37
  away
• 39:37
  from
• 39:38
  the
• 39:38
  house,
• 39:38
  not
• 39:38
  just
• 39:38
  outside
• 39:39
  the
• 39:39
  house,
• 39:39
  because
• 39:39
  it's
• 39:39
  going
• 39:39
  to
• 39:40
  try
• 39:40
  to
• 39:40
  put
• 39:40
  it
• 39:41
  back
• 39:41
  underneath
• 39:41
  the
• 39:41
  house.
• 39:41
  So
• 39:41
  it
• 39:42
  should
• 39:42
  go
• 39:42
  into
• 39:42
  some
• 39:42
  kind
• 39:42
  of
• 39:43
  a
• 39:43
  drain
• 39:43
  system
• 39:44
  or
• 39:44
  into
• 39:44
  the
• 39:44
  gutters.
• 39:45
  It
• 39:45
  gets
• 39:45
  it
• 39:45
  at
• 39:45
  least
• 39:45
  10ft
• 39:46
  away
• 39:46
  from
• 39:46
  the
• 39:46
  house,
• 39:47
  all
• 39:47
  of
• 39:48
  that,
• 39:48
  make
• 39:49
  sure
• 39:49
  that
• 39:49
  goes
• 39:49
  away
• 39:50
  so
• 39:50
  it's
• 39:50
  not
• 39:50
  an
• 39:50
  issue.
• 39:52
  So
• 39:52
  that's
• 39:52
  a
• 39:52
  big
• 39:53
  one
• 39:53
  right
• 39:53
  there.
• 39:54
  So
• 39:54
  making
• 39:54
  sure
• 39:55
  that
• 39:55
  that
• 39:55
  goes
• 39:55
  out
• 39:55
  of
• 39:56
  there.
• 39:56
  If
• 39:56
  you
• 39:56
  encapsulate
• 39:57
  a
• 39:57
  crawl
• 39:57
  space
• 39:57
  and
• 39:57
  don't
• 39:58
  condition
• 39:58
  the
• 39:58
  air
• 40:00
  or
• 40:00
  don't
• 40:01
  put
• 40:01
  a
• 40:01
  dehumidifier,
• 40:02
  you're
• 40:02
  just
• 40:02
  gonna
• 40:02
  end
• 40:03
  up
• 40:03
  having
• 40:03
  a
• 40:03
  mold
• 40:04
  sandwich
• 40:04
  down
• 40:05
  there.
• 40:05
  And
• 40:05
  that's
• 40:05
  gonna
• 40:05
  be
• 40:05
  a
• 40:06
  big
• 40:06
  issue.
• 40:07
  Now
• 40:07
  is
• 40:08
  that
• 40:08
  a
• 40:08
  be
• 40:08
  all,
• 40:08
  end
• 40:09
  all?
• 40:09
  No
• 40:09
  but
• 40:09
  does
• 40:09
  it
• 40:10
  stop
• 40:10
  radon?
• 40:10
  Yeah,
• 40:11
  you
• 40:11
  can
• 40:11
  design
• 40:11
  it
• 40:11
  so
• 40:11
  it
• 40:12
  can.
• 40:12
  That
• 40:12
  could
• 40:13
  be
• 40:13
  healthy
• 40:14
  also.
• 40:14
  You're
• 40:14
  just
• 40:15
  trying
• 40:15
  to
• 40:15
  keep
• 40:15
  that
• 40:16
  dirt,
• 40:16
  mold,
• 40:17
  rodents,
• 40:18
  all
• 40:19
  that
• 40:19
  nasty
• 40:19
  stuff
• 40:20
  in
• 40:20
  the
• 40:20
  air.
• 40:20
  Coming
• 40:20
  up
• 40:20
  there.
• 40:21
  I
• 40:21
  was
• 40:21
  just
• 40:21
  in
• 40:21
  a
• 40:21
  crawl
• 40:21
  space
• 40:22
  today
• 40:22
  with
• 40:23
  my
• 40:23
  friends
• 40:24
  here
• 40:24
  in
• 40:24
  the
• 40:24
  Portland
• 40:25
  area.
• 40:25
  And
• 40:26
  you
• 40:26
  probably
• 40:26
  know
• 40:27
  them
• 40:27
  if
• 40:27
  you
• 40:27
  listen
• 40:28
  in
• 40:28
  Pacific
• 40:29
  Northwest,
• 40:29
  John's
• 40:30
  Waterproofing.
• 40:30
  They're
• 40:31
  a
• 40:31
  great
• 40:31
  sponsor
• 40:31
  of
• 40:31
  my
• 40:31
  television
• 40:32
  show.
• 40:32
  I
• 40:33
  was
• 40:33
  out
• 40:33
  with
• 40:33
  Today
• 40:34
  with
• 40:34
  Robin
• 40:35
  on
• 40:35
  a.
• 40:35
  On
• 40:35
  an
• 40:36
  upcoming
• 40:36
  segment
• 40:37
  that
• 40:37
  we're
• 40:37
  doing,
• 40:37
  and
• 40:38
  we
• 40:38
  were
• 40:38
  crawling
• 40:39
  through
• 40:39
  a
• 40:39
  crawl
• 40:39
  space
• 40:39
  out
• 40:40
  there.
• 40:40
  And,
• 40:41
  man,
• 40:41
  the
• 40:41
  stuff
• 40:41
  that
• 40:41
  they
• 40:41
  found
• 40:42
  in
• 40:42
  this
• 40:42
  crawl
• 40:42
  space,
• 40:42
  they
• 40:43
  had
• 40:43
  rodents
• 40:43
  that
• 40:43
  were
• 40:44
  eating
• 40:44
  through
• 40:44
  stuff.
• 40:45
  They
• 40:45
  cleared
• 40:46
  out
• 40:46
  all
• 40:46
  the
• 40:46
  plastic
• 40:47
  and
• 40:47
  they
• 40:47
  were
• 40:47
  digging
• 40:48
  a
• 40:48
  perimeter
• 40:48
  trench
• 40:49
  around
• 40:49
  there
• 40:50
  and
• 40:50
  putting
• 40:51
  in
• 40:51
  one
• 40:51
  of
• 40:51
  their
• 40:51
  sump
• 40:51
  pumps.
• 40:52
  And
• 40:52
  that
• 40:52
  was
• 40:52
  really
• 40:52
  cool
• 40:53
  because
• 40:53
  they
• 40:53
  use
• 40:53
  a
• 40:53
  triple
• 40:54
  sump
• 40:54
  pump
• 40:54
  system
• 40:55
  down
• 40:55
  there
• 40:55
  where
• 40:56
  they
• 40:56
  have
• 40:56
  two
• 40:56
  sump
• 40:56
  pumps
• 40:57
  in
• 40:57
  there
• 40:57
  and
• 40:58
  one
• 40:58
  at
• 40:58
  two
• 40:58
  different
• 40:58
  heights.
• 40:59
  So
• 40:59
  if
• 41:00
  one
• 41:01
  gets
• 41:01
  overwhelmed,
• 41:02
  the
• 41:02
  second
• 41:02
  one
• 41:02
  kicks
• 41:03
  in
• 41:03
  and
• 41:03
  then
• 41:03
  they
• 41:04
  have
• 41:04
  a
• 41:04
  battery
• 41:04
  backup
• 41:05
  one.
• 41:05
  And
• 41:06
  it's
• 41:06
  a
• 41:06
  really
• 41:06
  good
• 41:07
  system.
• 41:07
  And
• 41:08
  the
• 41:08
  one
• 41:08
  thing
• 41:08
  I
• 41:08
  like
• 41:08
  about
• 41:08
  their
• 41:09
  system
• 41:09
  as
• 41:09
  well
• 41:10
  is
• 41:10
  they
• 41:10
  actually
• 41:11
  put
• 41:11
  in
• 41:12
  a
• 41:12
  sensor
• 41:12
  down
• 41:12
  there.
• 41:13
  Because
• 41:13
  the
• 41:13
  one
• 41:13
  problem
• 41:14
  is
• 41:14
  if
• 41:14
  you
• 41:14
  have
• 41:14
  a
• 41:15
  crawl
• 41:15
  space
• 41:16
  that
• 41:16
  is
• 41:17
  encapsulated,
• 41:18
  fully
• 41:19
  sealed
• 41:19
  up,
• 41:19
  if
• 41:20
  you
• 41:20
  break
• 41:20
  a
• 41:20
  water
• 41:21
  pipe
• 41:21
  down
• 41:21
  there,
• 41:22
  guess
• 41:22
  what,
• 41:23
  you're
• 41:23
  going
• 41:23
  to
• 41:23
  have
• 41:23
  a
• 41:24
  swimming
• 41:24
  pool.
• 41:24
  Because
• 41:24
  you
• 41:24
  just
• 41:25
  basically
• 41:25
  put
• 41:25
  in
• 41:25
  a
• 41:25
  swimming
• 41:26
  pool
• 41:26
  liner
• 41:26
  down
• 41:26
  there.
• 41:27
  And
• 41:27
  that
• 41:27
  can
• 41:27
  be
• 41:27
  its
• 41:28
  own
• 41:28
  issue.
• 41:29
  So
• 41:29
  they
• 41:29
  have
• 41:30
  a
• 41:30
  sensor
• 41:30
  that.
• 41:31
  That
• 41:31
  monitors
• 41:31
  if
• 41:32
  the
• 41:32
  sump
• 41:32
  pump
• 41:32
  isn't
• 41:33
  working
• 41:33
  as
• 41:34
  well
• 41:34
  as
• 41:34
  if
• 41:34
  there
• 41:34
  was
• 41:35
  a
• 41:35
  break
• 41:35
  or
• 41:35
  something
• 41:36
  that
• 41:36
  the
• 41:36
  water
• 41:36
  comes
• 41:37
  in
• 41:37
  off
• 41:37
  the
• 41:38
  plastic,
• 41:39
  then
• 41:39
  it's
• 41:39
  going
• 41:39
  to
• 41:39
  sound
• 41:39
  an
• 41:40
  alarm
• 41:40
  inside
• 41:40
  the
• 41:40
  house
• 41:41
  as
• 41:41
  well.
• 41:41
  So
• 41:41
  it's
• 41:41
  a
• 41:41
  really
• 41:42
  smart
• 41:42
  way
• 41:42
  to
• 41:42
  go
• 41:44
  in,
• 41:44
  doing
• 41:45
  something
• 41:45
  like
• 41:45
  that
• 41:46
  with
• 41:46
  the
• 41:46
  battery
• 41:46
  backup,
• 41:47
  the
• 41:47
  two
• 41:48
  sump
• 41:48
  pumps.
• 41:48
  So
• 41:48
  you
• 41:48
  have
• 41:49
  three
• 41:49
  sump
• 41:49
  pumps
• 41:49
  actually
• 41:50
  down
• 41:50
  there,
• 41:50
  one
• 41:51
  being
• 41:51
  a
• 41:51
  battery
• 41:51
  backup
• 41:52
  in
• 41:52
  case
• 41:52
  of
• 41:52
  a
• 41:53
  power
• 41:53
  outage.
• 41:54
  And
• 41:54
  then
• 41:54
  that
• 41:54
  sensor
• 41:55
  really
• 41:55
  making
• 41:55
  sure
• 41:56
  that
• 41:56
  if
• 41:56
  you
• 41:56
  had
• 41:56
  a
• 41:56
  pipe
• 41:57
  break
• 41:57
  or
• 41:57
  some
• 41:57
  kind
• 41:57
  of
• 41:58
  water
• 41:58
  damage
• 41:58
  down
• 41:58
  there
• 41:58
  that
• 41:59
  happened,
• 41:59
  you
• 42:00
  know,
• 42:00
  any
• 42:00
  kind
• 42:00
  of
• 42:00
  a
• 42:00
  leak,
• 42:01
  it's
• 42:01
  going
• 42:01
  to
• 42:02
  catch
• 42:02
  that
• 42:02
  if
• 42:02
  it
• 42:02
  makes
• 42:03
  it
• 42:03
  over
• 42:03
  to
• 42:03
  the
• 42:03
  sump
• 42:03
  pump,
• 42:04
  which
• 42:04
  can
• 42:04
  be
• 42:04
  a
• 42:04
  really
• 42:05
  good
• 42:05
  warning
• 42:05
  if
• 42:05
  you
• 42:05
  break
• 42:06
  a
• 42:06
  break
• 42:06
  a
• 42:06
  pipe
• 42:07
  or.
• 42:07
  Or
• 42:07
  something
• 42:08
  froze
• 42:08
  and
• 42:08
  broke
• 42:09
  or
• 42:09
  something
• 42:09
  went
• 42:09
  wrong
• 42:10
  down
• 42:10
  there,
• 42:10
  that's
• 42:10
  going
• 42:11
  to
• 42:11
  tell
• 42:11
  you
• 42:11
  you
• 42:11
  got
• 42:11
  a
• 42:11
  bigger
• 42:11
  problem,
• 42:12
  which
• 42:12
  is
• 42:12
  kind
• 42:12
  of
• 42:12
  handy
• 42:13
  because
• 42:13
  accidents
• 42:14
  do
• 42:14
  happen
• 42:15
  with
• 42:15
  that.
• 42:16
  So
• 42:17
  really,
• 42:17
  my.
• 42:17
  You
• 42:18
  know,
• 42:18
  I've
• 42:18
  been
• 42:18
  to
• 42:18
  some
• 42:18
  crawl
• 42:19
  spaces
• 42:19
  where
• 42:19
  I
• 42:19
  went
• 42:20
  out
• 42:20
  to
• 42:20
  somebody's
• 42:20
  house
• 42:20
  to
• 42:21
  take
• 42:21
  a
• 42:21
  peek
• 42:21
  at
• 42:21
  it.
• 42:22
  I
• 42:23
  Had
• 42:23
  one
• 42:23
  lady
• 42:23
  that
• 42:23
  was
• 42:24
  super
• 42:24
  awesome.
• 42:25
  Felt
• 42:25
  bad
• 42:25
  for
• 42:25
  her.
• 42:26
  Her
• 42:26
  husband
• 42:26
  had
• 42:26
  passed
• 42:27
  away
• 42:27
  a
• 42:27
  few
• 42:27
  years
• 42:27
  before.
• 42:28
  Somebody
• 42:29
  hadn't
• 42:29
  taken
• 42:29
  care
• 42:29
  of
• 42:29
  the
• 42:30
  issues
• 42:30
  down
• 42:30
  there.
• 42:30
  And
• 42:31
  her
• 42:32
  ducks
• 42:32
  were
• 42:33
  gurgling.
• 42:34
  I
• 42:34
  was
• 42:34
  like
• 42:34
  gurgling?
• 42:35
  What
• 42:35
  are
• 42:35
  you
• 42:35
  talking
• 42:35
  about?
• 42:36
  Thought
• 42:36
  she
• 42:37
  had
• 42:37
  water
• 42:37
  in
• 42:37
  her
• 42:37
  ducks.
• 42:37
  Yeah,
• 42:38
  she
• 42:38
  had
• 42:38
  water
• 42:38
  in
• 42:38
  the
• 42:38
  ducks
• 42:39
  because
• 42:39
  she
• 42:39
  had
• 42:40
  a
• 42:40
  completely
• 42:41
  filled
• 42:41
  up
• 42:41
  crawl
• 42:42
  space.
• 42:42
  And
• 42:42
  it
• 42:42
  wasn't
• 42:43
  that
• 42:43
  it
• 42:43
  was
• 42:44
  sealed
• 42:44
  up
• 42:45
  down
• 42:45
  there,
• 42:45
  but
• 42:46
  they
• 42:46
  had
• 42:46
  a
• 42:47
  stream.
• 42:48
  Basically
• 42:49
  somebody
• 42:49
  had
• 42:49
  done
• 42:49
  some
• 42:50
  work
• 42:50
  in
• 42:50
  the
• 42:50
  neighborhood.
• 42:50
  And
• 42:51
  there
• 42:51
  was
• 42:51
  a.
• 42:52
  Basically
• 42:53
  had
• 42:53
  clogged
• 42:54
  up
• 42:54
  a
• 42:55
  artesian
• 42:56
  well
• 42:56
  in
• 42:56
  the
• 42:56
  neighborhood
• 42:57
  that
• 42:57
  was
• 42:57
  going
• 42:57
  into
• 42:58
  somebody
• 42:58
  else's
• 42:58
  space.
• 42:59
  And
• 42:59
  it
• 42:59
  pushed
• 42:59
  up
• 43:00
  under
• 43:00
  her
• 43:00
  house.
• 43:01
  So
• 43:01
  when
• 43:01
  I
• 43:01
  popped
• 43:02
  the
• 43:02
  crawl
• 43:02
  space
• 43:03
  lid
• 43:04
  to
• 43:04
  go
• 43:04
  in
• 43:04
  there,
• 43:05
  it
• 43:05
  was
• 43:05
  up
• 43:05
  to
• 43:05
  the
• 43:06
  bottom
• 43:06
  of
• 43:06
  the
• 43:06
  framing
• 43:06
  in
• 43:06
  the
• 43:07
  house.
• 43:07
  So
• 43:07
  everything
• 43:08
  was
• 43:08
  underwater
• 43:09
  in
• 43:09
  the
• 43:09
  crawl
• 43:10
  space.
• 43:10
  And
• 43:11
  the
• 43:11
  vents
• 43:12
  were
• 43:12
  plugged
• 43:12
  shut.
• 43:12
  So
• 43:13
  it
• 43:13
  wasn't.
• 43:13
  It
• 43:13
  was
• 43:13
  keeping
• 43:14
  those
• 43:14
  in
• 43:14
  pretty
• 43:14
  well
• 43:15
  the
• 43:15
  way
• 43:15
  they
• 43:15
  were
• 43:15
  closed.
• 43:16
  And
• 43:17
  it
• 43:17
  just
• 43:17
  was
• 43:18
  basically
• 43:18
  up
• 43:19
  against
• 43:19
  the
• 43:20
  bottom
• 43:20
  of
• 43:20
  the
• 43:20
  framing.
• 43:21
  And
• 43:22
  that
• 43:22
  was
• 43:22
  a
• 43:22
  huge
• 43:23
  mess.
• 43:23
  Just
• 43:23
  to
• 43:23
  get
• 43:23
  it
• 43:24
  where
• 43:24
  you
• 43:24
  could
• 43:24
  go
• 43:24
  down
• 43:24
  into
• 43:25
  there.
• 43:25
  So
• 43:25
  they
• 43:25
  actually
• 43:25
  had
• 43:25
  to
• 43:25
  go
• 43:26
  in
• 43:26
  there.
• 43:26
  Some
• 43:27
  pumps
• 43:27
  through
• 43:28
  the
• 43:28
  crawl
• 43:28
  space
• 43:29
  opening.
• 43:30
  To
• 43:30
  get
• 43:30
  the
• 43:30
  water
• 43:30
  outside.
• 43:31
  Just
• 43:32
  to
• 43:32
  take
• 43:32
  out
• 43:32
  a.
• 43:33
  It's
• 43:33
  like
• 43:33
  draining
• 43:33
  a
• 43:34
  three
• 43:34
  foot
• 43:34
  swimming
• 43:34
  pool
• 43:35
  in
• 43:35
  this
• 43:35
  house.
• 43:35
  It
• 43:35
  was
• 43:35
  insane.
• 43:37
  At
• 43:37
  the
• 43:37
  same
• 43:37
  point,
• 43:37
  I've
• 43:38
  seen
• 43:38
  homes
• 43:38
  that
• 43:38
  had.
• 43:39
  This
• 43:39
  was
• 43:40
  a
• 43:40
  horrible
• 43:40
  one.
• 43:41
  A
• 43:41
  old
• 43:42
  cast.
• 43:42
  Actually
• 43:43
  it
• 43:43
  was
• 43:43
  a
• 43:43
  galvanized
• 43:44
  drain
• 43:44
  line
• 43:44
  from
• 43:45
  a
• 43:45
  washing
• 43:45
  machine.
• 43:46
  And
• 43:46
  the
• 43:46
  kids.
• 43:47
  The
• 43:48
  father
• 43:48
  was
• 43:48
  a
• 43:48
  truck
• 43:48
  driver.
• 43:49
  And
• 43:50
  the.
• 43:51
  Obviously
• 43:51
  they
• 43:51
  had
• 43:52
  used
• 43:52
  too
• 43:52
  much
• 43:52
  drain
• 43:52
  cleaner
• 43:53
  on
• 43:53
  this
• 43:53
  thing
• 43:53
  and
• 43:53
  it
• 43:54
  ate
• 43:54
  through
• 43:54
  the
• 43:54
  bottom.
• 43:55
  Well,
• 43:55
  it
• 43:55
  was
• 43:55
  the
• 43:56
  laundry
• 43:56
  line.
• 43:56
  So
• 43:56
  they
• 43:57
  were
• 43:57
  running
• 43:57
  hot
• 43:57
  stuff
• 43:58
  through
• 43:58
  there
• 43:58
  all
• 43:58
  the
• 43:58
  time.
• 43:58
  So
• 43:58
  the
• 43:59
  water
• 43:59
  that
• 43:59
  was
• 43:59
  draining
• 44:00
  from
• 44:00
  the
• 44:00
  laundry
• 44:01
  from
• 44:01
  the
• 44:01
  top
• 44:01
  load
• 44:02
  washing
• 44:02
  machine.
• 44:02
  Every
• 44:02
  time
• 44:02
  they'd
• 44:03
  run
• 44:03
  a
• 44:03
  load,
• 44:03
  the
• 44:03
  55
• 44:04
  gallons
• 44:04
  of
• 44:04
  water
• 44:04
  would
• 44:04
  go
• 44:05
  down
• 44:05
  in
• 44:05
  there.
• 44:06
  It
• 44:06
  undermined
• 44:07
  the
• 44:08
  foundation
• 44:08
  so
• 44:09
  badly
• 44:09
  that
• 44:09
  they
• 44:09
  couldn't
• 44:10
  open
• 44:10
  the
• 44:11
  refrigerator
• 44:11
  door
• 44:12
  because
• 44:12
  that
• 44:12
  part
• 44:13
  of
• 44:13
  the
• 44:13
  house
• 44:13
  had
• 44:13
  sunk
• 44:13
  because
• 44:14
  it
• 44:14
  had
• 44:14
  undermined
• 44:14
  the
• 44:14
  foundation.
• 44:16
  So
• 44:17
  unfortunately,
• 44:18
  that
• 44:18
  water
• 44:18
  line
• 44:18
  and
• 44:19
  nobody
• 44:19
  paying
• 44:19
  attention
• 44:20
  that
• 44:20
  there
• 44:20
  was
• 44:20
  steam
• 44:21
  on
• 44:21
  a
• 44:21
  hot.
• 44:21
  On
• 44:21
  a
• 44:21
  cold
• 44:22
  winter
• 44:22
  day
• 44:22
  coming
• 44:23
  out
• 44:23
  their
• 44:23
  crawl
• 44:23
  space
• 44:24
  fence
• 44:24
  that
• 44:25
  they
• 44:25
  didn't
• 44:25
  realize
• 44:26
  that
• 44:26
  they
• 44:26
  had
• 44:26
  that
• 44:27
  issue.
• 44:27
  Hour
• 44:28
  number
• 44:28
  one
• 44:28
  is
• 44:28
  over.
• 44:28
  Thanks
• 44:29
  for
• 44:29
  tuning
• 44:29
  into
• 44:29
  around
• 44:30
  the
• 44:30
  house.
• 44:30
  One
• 44:30
  more
• 44:30
  hour
• 44:31
  of
• 44:31
  the
• 44:31
  show
• 44:31
  left.
• 44:32
  Hold
• 44:32
  on.
• 44:33
  We
• 44:33
  got
• 44:33
  a
• 44:33
  great
• 44:33
  one
• 44:33
  coming
• 44:34
  your
• 44:34
  way.
• 44:34
  Thanks
• 44:34
  for
• 44:34
  tuning
• 44:35
  in
• 44:35
  to
• 44:35
  around
• 44:35
  the
• 44:35
  house.
