- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:41Hi, it's Adam here. And in this hypnosis session,
- 0:44you're going to be listening to a communication empowerment
- 0:48session. I was working with a.
- 0:51Client that felt. Blocked or fearful?
- 0:56When? Having certain conversations.
- 0:58With their partner and they didn't want to feel that way
- 1:02and. What was interesting about this
- 1:05client is that they could recall the time.
- 1:07That when they were studying their degree.
- 1:10Communication was a key part of what they were.
- 1:12Studying. And they could recall times.
- 1:14Where they were. The complete opposite.
- 1:16They were very expressive, very authentic, very confident,
- 1:21without any restrictions or fear or blocks whatsoever.
- 1:24So this uses a few key. Elements of.
- 1:29Hypnotherapy techniques The first is called regression,
- 1:33where you go back in time, so going back to a.
- 1:36Time where? She could recall having the
- 1:38resources of being able to communicate in the way that she
- 1:41would want. So it uses.
- 1:43Regression, it also uses something called the Circle of
- 1:47Excellence, which is a performance anxiety technique.
- 1:50So you take the resources from the past and then you bring them
- 1:53forward into the future, which is the third component, which is
- 1:58future pacing. And they felt that the optimal
- 2:01place to have the kind of conversation they wanted would
- 2:04be on their sofa in their home. And that's actually.
- 2:08What you're going to be listening to, you can be
- 2:09listening to a future pace where they get to imagine that version
- 2:15of them with all of the resources that they desire
- 2:19actually using those resources in such a way.
- 2:23And and what they were fearful of is sounding like they were
- 2:26nagging or complaining. But this session encourages them
- 2:30to use an approach of delivering that same information in a more
- 2:36constructive, useful way that doesn't make it feel.
- 2:42To them as. The communicator or to the other
- 2:45person as the listener that it is anything like a nag or a
- 2:50complaint more than it is an opportunity for breakthroughs,
- 2:54progress and and more shared mutual understanding.
- 2:58So there's a bit going on here. I would encourage you to think
- 3:01of someone that you feel that you can't communicate well with
- 3:05currently and think of a time in the past where you felt
- 3:09incredibly easy and almost effortless in communicating.
- 3:14That way you will get more from this session.
- 3:17Rather than being a bit of a spectator, you can actually make
- 3:20it more tailored to you just by thinking of those two things.
- 3:23So a time in the past that you felt that you were a great
- 3:26communicator and someone that currently you feel difficult
- 3:29communicating with. I would also encourage you if
- 3:34you like the stuff that I do to have a look in the show notes or
- 3:38the description, whether it's on a podcast or YouTube, something
- 3:43like that. There is normally something that
- 3:45you can click that gives you access to more information, more
- 3:47notes about what's actually happening.
- 3:50And there there's actually a few links where you can download
- 3:52some very useful free things, like I've got 22 hypnosis
- 3:56downloads that you can get. And there's also a seven day
- 4:00course and there's also suitability test.
- 4:02But if you'd like the idea of working with me directly, there
- 4:05is also a link to schedule a free consultation call.
- 4:09We'll have a chat and we can figure out if I'm the right
- 4:11hypnotherapist to work with you. For now though, you might enjoy
- 4:15this session, might find it beneficial.
- 4:17So find a quiet, comfortable place where you won't be.
- 4:19Disturbed, relax and. Enjoy the session.
- 4:53None. Take a deep breath in, and as
- 5:27you breathe in, breathe in that feeling of relaxation.
- 5:30And as you exhale, just allow your eyelids to close as you
- 5:36feel a wonderful sense of release that any tension,
- 5:39stress, and worries that have been bothering you recently just
- 5:42feel like they're leaving your body in that outward breath,
- 5:47breathing in, relaxation and exhaling tension.
- 5:54Each breath takes you deeper than the last that's in.
- 5:59And just quickly scan your body for any clues of that tension,
- 6:02stress or worries. It could be a tension around
- 6:06your forehead, around your jaw, your neck, or your shoulders.
- 6:14And just give permission to let go.
- 6:17That as you breathe in that resourceful feeling of calm and
- 6:20relaxation, it's starting to melt away any tension, any
- 6:25stress, and make you feel your jaw loosen, any of those tiny
- 6:32muscles in your face relax. And just imagine any tension in
- 6:37your neck and your shoulders, almost like ice fused into your
- 6:43muscle tissue. Just imagine that starting to
- 6:45melt away. That's it.
- 6:50As you could imagine, your breathing slows down.
- 6:54Each breath takes you deeper and deeper, relaxed.
- 6:58And as your body relaxes, your imagination awakens.
- 7:02And I wonder if you could imagine a library from your
- 7:06past. Just keep your physical body
- 7:10there and just float back and just be an observer seeing you
- 7:16perhaps 10 years ago in a library.
- 7:21And I want you to look for clues, clues to congruency,
- 7:28comfort. I want you to see a version of
- 7:31you completely empowered to articulate, to express, to feel
- 7:42that they have the worthiness, the permission, see them free of
- 7:48any consequences, just able to express.
- 7:53And maybe that version of you is in the study group.
- 7:57Or maybe that version of you is working on something, perhaps
- 8:03just engaged in a useful interactive conversation.
- 8:13So I want you to see clues of relaxation, things like body
- 8:18posture, facial expression. Just see that version of you
- 8:24would feel completely comfortable saying whatever
- 8:30needed to be said. That's in.
- 8:34And I want you to imagine seeing a glowing circle beneath that
- 8:41version of you, that version of you that was able to
- 8:48authentically articulate whatever you wish to.
- 8:55And just imagine that glowing circle become a cylinder, like a
- 9:04beam of light going from around their feet all the way around
- 9:09their body. And what you can imagine seeing
- 9:13that younger version of you with all of the skills and belief
- 9:17systems connected to communication that would be
- 9:20useful for you. Now just let me know by nodding
- 9:23your head. I don't want you to step into
- 9:28that version of you and just feel you are awakening all of
- 9:33the neural pathways. Not that just understood
- 9:39communication, but was linked to being a wonderful communicator.
- 9:47Just feel those Nora pathways awakening.
- 9:51Just feel comfortable and I want you to get a sense that when you
- 9:57feel yourself in that conversation, whichever form you
- 10:03are communicating, just feel natural with the absence of any
- 10:09restrictions and fears. Just feel completely comfortable
- 10:16having that conversation. And I want you to think of
- 10:22someone back then that was an easy person to communicate with.
- 10:30The kind of person that rapport was instant, the right words
- 10:36just flowed. And what you can imagine that
- 10:40person just let me know by nodding your head.
- 10:45That's in. And then I want you to think of
- 10:51someone that you recently or currently having issues feeling
- 10:59able to communicate in the way that you'd like to.
- 11:05And you've seen those films where one face shifts into
- 11:09another face. I want you to imagine that
- 11:12happening incredibly slowly. I want you to imagine that face
- 11:19of the person that you can communicate easily with
- 11:23gradually subtly morphing into the face of someone that feels
- 11:31more difficult. And it happens so subtly that
- 11:35you can keep that feeling of being confident, expressive,
- 11:41articulate, and maybe you're now talking to that person that in
- 11:52the past you felt uncomfortable communicating with, but now
- 11:56feeling completely comfortable. I want you to notice how quickly
- 12:03you can think on your feet, how you can use all of that
- 12:08knowledge you know about communication.
- 12:12So if someone uses things like deflection, distraction, false
- 12:18logic, I want you to get a sense that you can feel, not in a
- 12:24nagging way, an aggressive way or a complaining way, but just a
- 12:29calm, perhaps even playful way, an empowered way.
- 12:34Feel that you can just articulate that.
- 12:38So you can move the communication to something
- 12:42useful, clear, empowered. And I want you to imagine having
- 12:49a conversation, but this conversation is going to be like
- 12:54a Trojan horse. You're presenting the
- 12:58communication in such a way that it becomes highly appealing to
- 13:05the individual. Maybe there's certain words,
- 13:09topics, themes that they just love talking about.
- 13:15And you don't have to know exactly what that thing is right
- 13:18now, but just know that you were going to be expressing very
- 13:25valid points in a confident, empowered way.
- 13:32Want you to imagine nagging and complaining at one end of the
- 13:35spectrum, and authentic, enthusiastic, connected
- 13:41communication at the other. And sometimes what makes
- 13:48something a nag is not the words, but the tone or the
- 13:52context, or the feeling of repetition.
- 13:58And I want you to feel that you are far away from that type of
- 14:02communication. Some people when it comes to
- 14:08communication are like artists that can only paint in five
- 14:11colours. But you have the skills, the
- 14:16understanding, the knowledge. You are an artist that can paint
- 14:23in every possible variety of colour, every shade.
- 14:30I want you to feel that you have so many more options than the
- 14:33average person. You have the ability to present
- 14:40a valid concern or frustration in such a way nobody would
- 14:44consider it a knack. And I want you to imagine moving
- 14:51the context now to a sofa. A sofa that you recognize.
- 14:59Imagine it's early evening, but this time you are not in your
- 15:04own body. You're watching yourself.
- 15:07I want you to see what you did to initiate this communication.
- 15:13I want you to observe how artistically creatively you
- 15:22presented the communication. Want you to notice the words
- 15:29you're using are priming. Priming someone to.
- 15:36Open up rather than close, to express rather than defend.
- 15:42I want you to see yourself like a black belt martial artist in
- 15:49the world of communication, and I want you to see that your
- 15:54opponent is also good at communication, but not at your
- 16:01level. Therefore you feel empowered.
- 16:08I want you to get a sense that you see yourself initiating and
- 16:13then having that conversation on the couch in such a way that the
- 16:21right points get discussed. Put in nowhere near what anyone
- 16:28would describe as a nag or a complaint and I want you to get
- 16:34a sense then there is tenacity that whatever is agreed feels
- 16:43like it could be something that creates new standards going
- 16:47forward, new expectations. But it isn't a one way St.
- 16:53This is not a list of demands, it's a conversation, mutual
- 17:00understanding. You're asking just as much as
- 17:05what you can do as what you would like to be different.
- 17:11But you're using the language of self improvement, personal
- 17:15development, human growth, perhaps even language that would
- 17:21link to a breakthrough in business.
- 17:26These are not the words of a nag.
- 17:32These are not a list of complaints and demands.
- 17:36I want you to see yourself like a black belt competing with a
- 17:41yellow belt. You have so many more options
- 17:47and moves available that you could avoid simply an erroneous
- 17:54point. You have ways of dealing with
- 18:01irrelevancy, distractions, ambiguous, non committal
- 18:08language. I want you to see yourself also
- 18:13with the skills that if that person that you're communicating
- 18:16with gets defensive, you know the right combination lock to
- 18:24open that individual back up. And if you could imagine seeing
- 18:30yourself in such a situation, let me know by nodding your
- 18:32head. And then step into that version
- 18:37of you, into that glowing cylinder of warm light, and feel
- 18:43how it would feel to be free of fear, to communicate
- 18:49congruently, to express valid points.
- 18:55And I want you to get a sense that if anyone was to weaponize
- 18:59what you say, that is a reflection of them, not you.
- 19:07I want you to feel that you have full permission to express
- 19:11yourself and that in fact, good communication is essential kind
- 19:19of relationship that you want. But I also want you to feel a
- 19:25growing sense of acceptance. Not everything needs to be
- 19:29changed in one go. People have different
- 19:33personalities, people have different priorities.
- 19:38Your priorities aren't the same. As other people.
- 19:40'S and give yourself permission to accept those things that you
- 19:45deem to be less important. Perhaps battles you choose not
- 19:51to fight, but fully empowered to influence those things that are
- 19:57important, that are really important, and you are well
- 20:04within your rights to communicate those things that
- 20:10are important to you. That's it.
- 20:16Just feeling more and more aligned with that version of
- 20:19you. There is no magic wand, but
- 20:24there are options. And I want you to feel that you
- 20:28have awakened that confident, expressive, authentic
- 20:34communicator within you. Accepting those things you can't
- 20:38control, but being willing to do those things that you can stop
- 20:45to leave this place, but take those good feelings with you as
- 20:47you take a deep breath in through your nose and out
- 20:52through your nose. Just wiggle your fingers and
- 20:55wiggle your toes. Connect and calibrate into the
- 20:57here and the now. That's it.
- 20:59As I now count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you starting to
- 21:04count 123 waking up 456 more alert. 7-8 open your eyes.
- 21:11Open your eyes 910 Wide awake, Wide awake.
- 21:15Wide awake. Yeah.
- 22:17Yeah. None.
- 24:48Yeah. The.
- 31:48A. Yeah.
- 32:48Yeah. Yeah.
