- 0:54Speaker 1: I got man coming to you lie from Kenny's basement
- 0:59Speaker 1: apartment in on a windy night, where the dog has
- 1:03Speaker 1: been walked and as far as I know, the shower
- 1:08Speaker 1: has been fixed. It's sports allegedly.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Welcome, welcome, welcome, Thank you all for joining us for
- 1:14Speaker 2: this episode on this day of our Lord, March fourteen,
- 1:17Speaker 2: twenty five. We've got lots to talk about. We'll talk
- 1:20Speaker 2: about those OKAC thunder. Are they in trouble with the NBA?
- 1:23Speaker 2: That's what it sounds like. Also, we'll talk about ou baseball, softball,
- 1:28Speaker 2: and basketball. But let's first let's get to the real
- 1:32Speaker 2: meat and potatoes of what we want to talk about,
- 1:35Speaker 2: and that is obviously this time of year is NBA
- 1:38Speaker 2: or NFL free agency, in the NFL free agency. Oh
- 1:43Speaker 2: and we will talk a little college basketball as well,
- 1:45Speaker 2: but let's let's start with NFL free agency.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Everybody is interested. It's that time of year.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Actually, the first time I think it opened on the twelfth,
- 1:56Speaker 2: was it officially on the twelf twelfth?
- 1:59Speaker 1: You can do the signings on the twelve tenth was
- 2:01Speaker 1: the opening where you could start talking. Correct, The twelfth
- 2:06Speaker 1: was where you could do the signings and finalizations anything
- 2:11Speaker 1: that you needed to do for those players that knew
- 2:14Speaker 1: what they were gonna end up doing when they were
- 2:16Speaker 1: either cut or re signed before that point.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Nope, understood. So lots of big changes. Let's start with
- 2:26Speaker 2: the quarterbacks. I think that's always NFL as a quarterback league.
- 2:30Speaker 2: And we have missed you guys the last week, so
- 2:35Speaker 2: we've got a lot to talk about it as far
- 2:36Speaker 2: as quarterback free agent signings.
- 2:39Speaker 3: And this one didn't.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Go without surprise, and we had talked a little bit
- 2:43Speaker 2: about before is I think the biggest thing was what
- 2:45Speaker 2: was the Vikings gonna do with Sam Donald? And what
- 2:50Speaker 2: did they do? Well, they just said it's okay, let's see.
- 2:56Speaker 3: And they did. So Sam Donald goes to the Seahawk.
- 3:02Speaker 2: For uh to, I don't know, go play with no
- 3:06Speaker 2: DJ or no DK.
- 3:07Speaker 3: Mettcalf. I mean we've got Jackson, you got Jackson Smith.
- 3:12Speaker 3: I mean Geno Smith.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Got traded obviously beforehand, so the Seahawks had an opening.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Uh Gino Smith gets traded to the Raiders. He reunites
- 3:20Speaker 2: with Pete Carroll is the new head coach of the
- 3:24Speaker 2: Vegas for two seasons, no forever, he was there longer
- 3:28Speaker 2: than that, So I mean it's an improvement from Aidan
- 3:33Speaker 2: O'Connell and Gardner Minshew.
- 3:35Speaker 3: Is that Geno Smith and Geno Smith.
- 3:37Speaker 2: You know, maybe we don't maybe we don't give Geno
- 3:39Speaker 2: a lot of credit, but he did have DK and Jackson, Smith,
- 3:43Speaker 2: Dijigba who's going to be there, Tyler and Tyler Logan
- 3:48Speaker 2: who also got cut. So there you go, Sam Darnold,
- 3:52Speaker 2: three year, one hundred and five or one hundred million
- 3:54Speaker 2: point five million deer deal deer dear fifty five million geararanteed,
- 4:00Speaker 2: So it's going to be fifty year.
- 4:04Speaker 3: But fifty five. Yeah, it makes sense.
- 4:07Speaker 2: They they they're kind of on a rebuild, is what
- 4:10Speaker 2: Seattle kind of comes around to me to look.
- 4:13Speaker 3: And then they turn around and they signed Cooper Cup
- 4:15Speaker 3: to a three year deal.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Uh right after that, so loses the receivers, but Cooper Cup, Jackson,
- 4:23Speaker 2: Nijigobus Smith too fartal, you know, because Cup's not probably
- 4:28Speaker 2: a number one anymore.
- 4:30Speaker 1: And Smith, well, the fact that the fact that La
- 4:33Speaker 1: Rams couldn't get.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Anything out of it, well I think it was more
- 4:37Speaker 2: of a money thing.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Well they said they were trying to trade, but it
- 4:42Speaker 1: didn't go through, so they just cut him.
- 4:44Speaker 3: Yeah, and then that's that's.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Been happening to a lot of these guys. Hey, we're
- 4:47Speaker 1: gonna we want to trade you, but if we don't
- 4:49Speaker 1: get any trade value for you, we don't get any
- 4:52Speaker 1: offers for you, We're just gonna cut you for sure.
- 4:54Speaker 1: And so a lot of those teams are like, well,
- 4:56Speaker 1: why should we even do anything if you're going to
- 4:58Speaker 1: cut them? Anyways?
- 5:00Speaker 3: I agree, but they and they're not. That's why they're
- 5:02Speaker 3: not doing it.
- 5:02Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. Why should they do anything that
- 5:05Speaker 1: they're just gonna come.
- 5:06Speaker 2: So the biggest news obviously Sam Donald going what's that?
- 5:09Speaker 2: What's the Vikings going to do?
- 5:10Speaker 3: Now? A lot of speculation as Aaron Rodgers could be
- 5:12Speaker 3: in the mix. J J. McCartney's he just going to
- 5:16Speaker 3: I mean, he.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Allegedly had Sam Donald beat before the year started, before
- 5:22Speaker 2: his injury, so they're confident in him. But is the
- 5:27Speaker 2: Aaron Rodgers that smoke is there?
- 5:31Speaker 1: He really is following the Brett far He would.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Follow the Brett Favre trifecta. Yes, he would also, Like
- 5:37Speaker 2: we talked about the big other big news for quarterbacks,
- 5:40Speaker 2: Geno Smith traded to the veg Vegas. I actually love
- 5:46Speaker 2: that I don't. The problem is, I don't think they
- 5:49Speaker 2: have a lot of wide receivers. Don't forget Chip Kelly
- 5:53Speaker 2: is the new OC there too at the Raiders.
- 5:56Speaker 1: So so they got rid of one of their wide receivers.
- 6:01Speaker 1: But I think that t wide receiver.
- 6:03Speaker 2: But I think they'll probably draft some help there. It's
- 6:07Speaker 2: a heavy tid end class. Maybe they'll get another running
- 6:09Speaker 2: back to I think they need some running help.
- 6:11Speaker 1: And I don't know when this happened. I guess this
- 6:14Speaker 1: just happened to day. But you know, you look at
- 6:15Speaker 1: Buffalo and the moves they've made. Josh Allen just got
- 6:19Speaker 1: a new six year deal with three hundred and thirty
- 6:21Speaker 1: million with two hundred and fifty guaranteed.
- 6:23Speaker 3: Didn't happen today.
- 6:24Speaker 2: He joked that it wasn't quite as high as Gosh,
- 6:27Speaker 2: who was the other quarterback.
- 6:29Speaker 3: He missed it by five million or something.
- 6:31Speaker 2: And he was like, what's the difference, It doesn't matter.
- 6:34Speaker 2: I thought that was pretty funny.
- 6:35Speaker 3: If Joe Burrow, I can't remember, I can't remember who
- 6:37Speaker 3: it was actually, but.
- 6:38Speaker 1: It looks like they did a lot. You know, they
- 6:40Speaker 1: picked up Joey Bosa for a one year, twelve million
- 6:43Speaker 1: dollar deal. I love that twelve million of his guaranteed.
- 6:46Speaker 2: I had him talked about later we were talking about quarterbacks,
- 6:48Speaker 2: but no, I thought that when we get down to
- 6:50Speaker 2: that was my top one of my top five signings
- 6:53Speaker 2: was both say we can get to that, but just
- 6:54Speaker 2: focusing on the quarterbacks right now.
- 6:57Speaker 3: Also justin fields, he's going to be the start at
- 6:59Speaker 3: the Jets. He's got a two.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Year thirty million I think for fields, yet forty to
- 7:05Speaker 2: your forty million. What do you think about that?
- 7:06Speaker 3: You missing You're missing the field thirty thirty.
- 7:09Speaker 1: No, I'm never missing him. Fifteen million signing bonus, five million,
- 7:13Speaker 1: base salary, thirty million fully guaranteed. Uh, he's getting paid
- 7:18Speaker 1: to to be mediocre.
- 7:22Speaker 2: I think it's an upgrade for Aaron Rodgers, to be honest, Well.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Right now everything looks like an upgrade from Aaron Rodgers.
- 7:28Speaker 1: I'd say Gardner Minshew would be an upgrade for I
- 7:30Speaker 1: don't know.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Maybe where's he gonna go through? I mean Rodgers has
- 7:32Speaker 2: got three options in the three options.
- 7:35Speaker 1: To Hey, his options are slowly dwindling. I don't think Giants.
- 7:39Speaker 1: I don't think Tennessee is gonna pick him money.
- 7:41Speaker 2: The Giants, the Brown because they brought in Brandon Allen
- 7:44Speaker 2: Browns and Mason Rudolph went back to Sittsburg.
- 7:47Speaker 3: Pittsburgh. So what do you think about Steelers Brown's Steelers Brown.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Brown and Brown's when Lynn and the Browns went on
- 7:55Speaker 1: in and got what do his nuts?
- 7:56Speaker 3: Did they sign a quarterback?
- 7:58Speaker 1: Yes?
- 7:59Speaker 3: Not pick it?
- 8:04Speaker 1: That's it seems like that's what they did. And they
- 8:09Speaker 1: traded people people Thompson for him, didn't it.
- 8:12Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 8:13Speaker 2: Anyway, Daniel Jones to the Colts interesting, that could be
- 8:18Speaker 2: a competition. Saw that.
- 8:21Speaker 1: You know that he's going to be competing for that.
- 8:24Speaker 2: And the rest is the normal backups that's bounced around,
- 8:28Speaker 2: the Dobbs Jones, the Jimmy Garoppolos.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Well, no, Matt Jones is fairly new because remember it
- 8:34Speaker 1: was last season that he got sent to Jacksonville. So
- 8:38Speaker 1: for him to end up in uh in San Francisco, Jim,
- 8:48Speaker 1: you stop dogging that young boy. You realize that he
- 8:53Speaker 1: made almost a million dollars based on his playtime from
- 8:57Speaker 1: the supplemental pay that the NFL does.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Oh, he deserves the pay. He deserves more pay. What
- 9:03Speaker 2: he did with a stacked team. Now the team's no
- 9:06Speaker 2: longer stacked and it just it's going to show you.
- 9:09Speaker 2: It's the Jalen Hurts effect that's coming. It's just he's
- 9:13Speaker 2: just gonna get it first. Party is just gonna get
- 9:17Speaker 2: it first. Jalen Hurts is eventually going to lose all
- 9:20Speaker 2: the talent around him to look very average and uh,
- 9:25Speaker 2: and the best quarterbacks can play with the most average teams.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Josh Allen, Justin Herbert. What's the guy that I'm just
- 9:33Speaker 2: drawing a blank from from Kansas City?
- 9:36Speaker 3: Mahomes?
- 9:37Speaker 2: Those those three, those three guys can play with nobody's
- 9:41Speaker 2: and look good.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Well, who's uh? Sagardner Minshew is gone to Kansas City.
- 9:47Speaker 1: And I know that they said something earlier about him
- 9:49Speaker 1: failing his.
- 9:52Speaker 2: You said that I didn't.
- 9:53Speaker 3: I missed it.
- 9:54Speaker 1: He failed his his physical because of the broken collar bone.
- 10:00Speaker 1: And you know Jimmy Garoppolo, he's just he just bounces
- 10:02Speaker 1: around the league. Now, where was he last year?
- 10:07Speaker 2: Was that the Colts or no, not the Colts. He
- 10:09Speaker 2: was still at the Rams. Then the Rams just resign him.
- 10:12Speaker 3: Yeah, I thought that he I thought they just resigned him.
- 10:16Speaker 1: I didn't know they resigned. I thought that he had
- 10:18Speaker 1: been somewhere else.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Maybe I don't remember Zach Wilson and the Dolphins. I
- 10:25Speaker 2: just thought that Daniel Jones was was I mean, I
- 10:28Speaker 2: don't know if he's going to be the starter, but
- 10:29Speaker 2: I also know that Justin Fields is. So you've got
- 10:34Speaker 2: you've got three teams out four teams out there that
- 10:36Speaker 2: really don't have a starter that's you know, worth anything.
- 10:39Speaker 3: You've got Cleveland.
- 10:41Speaker 1: What is going on?
- 10:44Speaker 2: And you've got Cleveland. Hey, hold on, Bud, Wait yeah,
- 10:50Speaker 2: just wait, go with your mom. Yeah, you come back
- 10:52Speaker 2: in a minute when you get after we're done. Yes, yeah,
- 10:56Speaker 2: thank you. Case and his podcast will be next. So
- 11:03Speaker 2: so he'll end up being Kitty Pickett's not going to
- 11:07Speaker 2: be the starter, but Fields will be. So then you've got.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Well, we don't know that Kenny Pickett will be the starter.
- 11:15Speaker 1: We just know that something's going to go on there
- 11:17Speaker 1: and even if they do.
- 11:18Speaker 2: But I thought Miles Garrett wanted to play for a
- 11:20Speaker 2: winner and a team that had a good quarter of
- 11:23Speaker 2: Miles in the future.
- 11:24Speaker 3: Oh wait, is that? I thought that's what it was?
- 11:26Speaker 1: Okay, so most money was it?
- 11:29Speaker 3: The money?
- 11:30Speaker 1: You had a four year extension that includes.
- 11:34Speaker 3: This, got to play for a winner and resign.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Average per year of forty mil and the deal, which
- 11:40Speaker 1: ties Garrett to the Browns for the next six years,
- 11:43Speaker 1: also includes a no trade clause.
- 11:45Speaker 3: And he'll want to be traded next and he will.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Want to be out of there for two years because
- 11:50Speaker 1: I can't tell you anybody on the Cleveland Browns that
- 11:55Speaker 1: you know.
- 11:55Speaker 3: What's funny is they actually have a pretty good defense
- 11:57Speaker 3: all around.
- 11:58Speaker 1: It's just they also Jerry Judy who came there.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Yeah, but their offense just they just cannot Yeah, you know,
- 12:05Speaker 2: they just cannot get it going.
- 12:07Speaker 3: Well, what's his face? Who am I thinking of?
- 12:09Speaker 2: The old Baltimore Ravens quarterback took him to the playoffs
- 12:12Speaker 2: last year, the year Joe Joe Flacco took him to
- 12:14Speaker 2: the playoffs a year before last. Then they cut him
- 12:17Speaker 2: and didn't bring him back, and then he almost took
- 12:20Speaker 2: the Colts to the playoffs.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Right, he ended up going to Indianapolis.
- 12:24Speaker 3: So where's he at now?
- 12:26Speaker 1: Who Flacco? Yeah, But if you want to look at
- 12:32Speaker 1: you remember we were looking at the salary cap. So
- 12:33Speaker 1: New England is still number one. It looks like they haven't
- 12:37Speaker 1: done much well.
- 12:37Speaker 2: The Giants have met with Joe Flacco, who is Aaron Rodgers.
- 12:41Speaker 2: But you signed Joe Flacco Giants.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Since since the beginning of the signings, Washington has dropped
- 12:49Speaker 1: a number twelve, Chicago's fifteen. Tampa Bay is all the
- 12:53Speaker 1: way down at thirty two at negative nine MILLI.
- 12:56Speaker 2: I we did some restructures Dodwin, No, we did them. Yeah,
- 13:01Speaker 2: we did some restructuring actually yesterday and freed up twenty millions.
- 13:07Speaker 1: So the funny thing is Dallas still hasn't done anything.
- 13:12Speaker 2: And they freed up fifty million redoing DAK and CD's contract,
- 13:19Speaker 2: so they should have in the well.
- 13:20Speaker 1: They still really haven't done it. We haven't seen them.
- 13:23Speaker 1: I mean, look here, we can.
- 13:24Speaker 2: Talk well, you know, we can talk about let's let's
- 13:27Speaker 2: talk about some of our disappointing teams and teams that
- 13:30Speaker 2: I thought, let's start with disappointing teams.
- 13:32Speaker 3: We'll start with that. From what I've seen in uh.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Free agency, I thought the Bengals was just looking Yeah,
- 13:39Speaker 2: one of the disappointing. Uh, that's fine, and that's a
- 13:43Speaker 2: good backup, I guess. And they resigned Cody Ford another
- 13:48Speaker 2: O you guy. My deal was is Trey Henderson still
- 13:51Speaker 2: on the trade market. They told him to go. He's
- 13:53Speaker 2: one of the best defensive linemen. Uh, that's out there.
- 13:55Speaker 2: They tagged t Higgins, which they're going to try to
- 13:59Speaker 2: work a long term deals.
- 14:00Speaker 1: What they said, well, they got him and Chase that
- 14:02Speaker 1: they've got to work those deals up because chances deals
- 14:04Speaker 1: almost up again.
- 14:06Speaker 2: So he's gonna make about forty and then you've got
- 14:09Speaker 2: and then and so essentially what you're gonna do is
- 14:13Speaker 2: you're gonna have a really good offense and you're gonna
- 14:17Speaker 2: have to probably draft every player on defense, every player
- 14:23Speaker 2: on defense. And their old line was better, but it
- 14:26Speaker 2: wasn't that good as you've seen from still Joe Burrow
- 14:32Speaker 2: running around foreword. So I thought that was disappointing. And
- 14:34Speaker 2: other disappointing team if you want to go look at
- 14:36Speaker 2: the Browns right here. Okay, So that was another one
- 14:39Speaker 2: I thought because I thought that they way over spent
- 14:43Speaker 2: for Miles Garrett. I thought they they traded for can
- 14:48Speaker 2: He Picket and they give up Dorian Thompson, Robbins and
- 14:50Speaker 2: a fifth round pick.
- 14:52Speaker 3: I think that good. I know, No, I just I don't.
- 14:56Speaker 2: I thought the and I thought the signing of my
- 15:00Speaker 2: Scarrett was a bit extreme. I thought they could have
- 15:02Speaker 2: traded him and got more draft picks because they've got
- 15:04Speaker 2: to get out of cap hell with Deshaun and have
- 15:09Speaker 2: more picks.
- 15:10Speaker 1: They're trying, and they restructured his contract as well.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Oh sure, I mean they better, but they still are still.
- 15:16Speaker 2: But it's just dead. It's just all this dead cap
- 15:19Speaker 2: that just keeps coming. And this isn't you know, this
- 15:22Speaker 2: isn't high, Yeah, this isn't high yet. This is just
- 15:26Speaker 2: getting ready to get fucking stupid. And everybody on that team,
- 15:33Speaker 2: including the GM and the two time Coach of the
- 15:36Speaker 2: Year Stefanski, will be fired after this year.
- 15:39Speaker 3: That's just the way.
- 15:39Speaker 2: It's going to be.
- 15:40Speaker 1: So they're still taking a hit from Amari Cooper.
- 15:45Speaker 3: M That's funny but not surprising.
- 15:50Speaker 2: They're the worst run team at the end of the
- 15:52Speaker 2: bank abs and they're both from fucking Ohio or one
- 15:55Speaker 2: of them in Cincinnati, Ohio Cleveland, Oh yeah, they're.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Both in Yes, just tell you. People do not do
- 16:02Speaker 1: business in Ohio.
- 16:02Speaker 2: I was just thinking of that shitty team I was
- 16:05Speaker 2: thinking about in Illinois was dub Airs anyway and the
- 16:07Speaker 2: other and then the other team. I thought that hasn't
- 16:11Speaker 2: really done a whole lots. Obviously, we feel it around here,
- 16:14Speaker 2: and that's Dallas, I mean Dallas.
- 16:17Speaker 3: They did they took they did sign. I'm sorry.
- 16:22Speaker 2: So they restructured, they restructured CD and they restructured that
- 16:27Speaker 2: and and so they did trade for ou local legend
- 16:31Speaker 2: Kenneth Murray.
- 16:31Speaker 3: So I thought that was good they did. They did sign.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Now, I think Javonte Williams could be an interesting you know,
- 16:39Speaker 2: he's had his moments at running back. He was inverse
- 16:42Speaker 2: last year but had some injury issues.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Well then Miles Sanders as well.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Yeah, anyway, but both of them, guys, Yeah, he's okay.
- 16:51Speaker 2: Both of them signed for cheap Osa Odigunza. That's the
- 16:56Speaker 2: one they wanted to sign obviously for your eighty million contract.
- 16:59Speaker 2: That was the big one. And I thought that was
- 17:01Speaker 2: a good hire. If you're smart, you will trade.
- 17:04Speaker 1: They got Kenneth Murray Junior in a trade with the Titans.
- 17:07Speaker 2: You need to trade two people and trade one of them.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Trade that immediately, or trade Micah Parsons.
- 17:13Speaker 1: They did not get the good Godwin.
- 17:17Speaker 3: That's a good one, not a Godwin.
- 17:19Speaker 1: No, and no, no, I'm just saying they didn't get
- 17:21Speaker 1: the good Godwin, the good Godwin.
- 17:22Speaker 2: No. But I think they're gonna have to trade one
- 17:24Speaker 2: of them. I just I don't think. I don't think
- 17:26Speaker 2: you can keep all three. Unfortunately, Denster Lawrence did leave.
- 17:29Speaker 2: They didn't sign Dexter Lawrence, seven year veteran, he got
- 17:32Speaker 2: some money in Seattle. Turn around and said, well, I'm
- 17:36Speaker 2: I'm Saddle's always or Dallas is always my home. But
- 17:38Speaker 2: I was never gonna win a Super Bowl there. Michah
- 17:41Speaker 2: Parsons comes out and they have a little exchange. Not
- 17:45Speaker 2: gonna repeat at all, but go back and look at that.
- 17:47Speaker 3: It was. It was pretty good. Okay, Well, here's let's
- 17:49Speaker 3: talk about teams that did good.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Well, no, here's here's another team that is falling apart.
- 17:54Speaker 3: Oh yeah, we could sign Francisco. That was the last one.
- 17:57Speaker 1: They have lost so many of the players because they
- 17:59Speaker 1: do not want to sign them. And then you get
- 18:01Speaker 1: DeMarcus Robinson, who is.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Well, folks, you learned it here? How old you learned
- 18:06Speaker 2: it here? You also, I was listening to a well
- 18:09Speaker 2: well known national guide today on the radio, and he said,
- 18:14Speaker 2: I think you were the only one that picked Washington
- 18:18Speaker 2: in the playoffs last year, and I went, I said,
- 18:21Speaker 2: sports allegedly team both both picked Washington in the playoffs
- 18:25Speaker 2: last year, and we also talked about how this and
- 18:30Speaker 2: that they're gonna be talked about a little bit of
- 18:32Speaker 2: the team, But we also talked about the forty nine ers.
- 18:34Speaker 2: The forty nine ers window was shrinking fast. We also
- 18:39Speaker 2: said the Chiefs window was shrinking fast. They made the
- 18:42Speaker 2: super Bowl this year, they did not win. I don't
- 18:45Speaker 2: see them making the super Bowl again for a while.
- 18:51Speaker 1: Without, not without making proper moves, because they they give me.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Give me.
- 18:57Speaker 3: What would you lay money on straight up San Francisco, three.
- 19:01Speaker 2: Not three years without a without a Kansas City.
- 19:06Speaker 3: Super Bowl appearance.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Would you let's say, I don't know you. I mean,
- 19:16Speaker 2: it was a come on, I don't know what's what's
- 19:18Speaker 2: a good bet? That's something you can afford, but it
- 19:21Speaker 2: would stretch you if you lost, you know what I mean.
- 19:23Speaker 2: It's like, what about ten thousand dollars? Would you bet
- 19:27Speaker 2: ten thousand? Well, let's say you were free money and
- 19:29Speaker 2: you had to bet ten thousand, would you bet Well,
- 19:32Speaker 2: that's not even life changing. Many Let's go one hundred thousand.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Here's a hundred thousand, Sean, you either got to bet
- 19:36Speaker 2: three three years no chief Super Bowl, or I'm going
- 19:40Speaker 2: to take the Chiefs make it back. In three years
- 19:42Speaker 2: once they don't have to win it. They just got
- 19:43Speaker 2: to make it back. Which one would you take?
- 19:45Speaker 1: I would take it in two.
- 19:49Speaker 3: So you would bet yes, they'd make it three years. Okay, yeah,
- 19:52Speaker 3: and see it. I don't think so.
- 19:53Speaker 1: I think they're done, dropped out for two and then
- 19:55Speaker 1: make it make it.
- 19:56Speaker 3: That last week. And that's possible because to make some moves.
- 19:58Speaker 2: But from what they've done, the forty nine ers were
- 20:00Speaker 2: exactly what we talked about. The window. They closed the closing. Well,
- 20:06Speaker 2: they had a cheap quarterback the whole time. Now they did.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Now give them credit, they did make one super Bowl.
- 20:10Speaker 2: They did with brock Party. He did make a super
- 20:13Speaker 2: Bowl on the backs they loaded loaded team.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Two championships.
- 20:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't remember the championships, but I know they made.
- 20:21Speaker 1: He made the champions The championship is where he got
- 20:23Speaker 1: injured when Philly took him out the first time. They
- 20:27Speaker 1: grabbed his arm and took him out of the game
- 20:31Speaker 1: and they ended up with like no quarterback at a
- 20:33Speaker 1: certain point. That was the first Eagles Kansas City super
- 20:39Speaker 1: Bowl because that championship game was San Francisco. Philly gotcha
- 20:46Speaker 1: and they took him out and Josh Dobbs would come
- 20:48Speaker 1: in because Josh Dobbs had been bouncing around the league
- 20:51Speaker 1: for so long and then he ended up getting hurt
- 20:53Speaker 1: and Brock ended up having a comeback in because that
- 20:56Speaker 1: was the same year that Trey Lance had broke his ankle,
- 20:59Speaker 1: Jimmy Garoppolo broke his foot, so they had like zero
- 21:03Speaker 1: backup quarterbacks.
- 21:04Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, no, I agree with that that was the
- 21:06Speaker 3: one they were.
- 21:07Speaker 2: But I'm saying we talked about the window closing because
- 21:09Speaker 2: they were gonna have to get rid of everbody and
- 21:11Speaker 2: sign every.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Yeah, and uh, the owner does not want to pay,
- 21:15Speaker 1: so they're letting all the guys go.
- 21:17Speaker 3: Well, I don't think they can afford to pay go
- 21:18Speaker 3: back to their h You had.
- 21:22Speaker 2: No what was there? Yeah, right there? So yeah, pretty
- 21:27Speaker 2: sure they were down towards their number ten. Still that's
- 21:31Speaker 2: what's left, right, gotcha?
- 21:35Speaker 1: So their cap space now forty three, and I think
- 21:37Speaker 1: that they were a little higher, they.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Were a little lower. Well that they're gonna I don't remember.
- 21:42Speaker 1: I don't remember where it was, sure, but oh yeah,
- 21:48Speaker 1: here's your average teenage right here. So we want to
- 21:51Speaker 1: go look at Tampa baby in at twenty six. I
- 21:54Speaker 1: told you they were twenty six.
- 21:55Speaker 3: Yeah. A local guy said that they were just old,
- 21:58Speaker 3: just old.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Okay, Tennessee's twenty seven. San Francisco's older. Yeah, Pittsburgh's way old,
- 22:07Speaker 1: and they're starting to leave what Naja Harris left them.
- 22:10Speaker 3: Oh, I got that on my Oh that was a
- 22:12Speaker 3: good he signing.
- 22:14Speaker 1: So what do you want to go?
- 22:15Speaker 3: Let's go teams that did really well in free agencies.
- 22:18Speaker 1: What I think, pick a pick a location. We can
- 22:22Speaker 1: go on your list.
- 22:25Speaker 2: You can go NFC North or AFS or NFC East
- 22:30Speaker 2: in the North Bears obviously obviously a lot.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Of offensive line here, spent spent a lot of.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Money, which they had a lot of money. Got a
- 22:39Speaker 2: trade for guard Jonah Jackson. That was a six round pick.
- 22:43Speaker 2: That was a salary cap move obviously for the Kony.
- 22:46Speaker 2: He's the best guard I think in the one of
- 22:49Speaker 2: the best guards in the league. He played tackle in
- 22:51Speaker 2: the Super Bowl, got eight up. But he's not a tackle,
- 22:54Speaker 2: he's a guard. So he just tried to fit in.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Grady Garrett super good, I mean, just a just a leader,
- 23:02Speaker 2: a guy that's gonna fit perfect on that defense.
- 23:05Speaker 3: And then you've also.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Got Bye b Yeah, and then you've also got good deal,
- 23:18Speaker 2: see buddy. But the Tony I thought that was a
- 23:24Speaker 2: hell a hell of a trade. And I think that
- 23:27Speaker 2: was a money thing too for the Chiefs. So that
- 23:31Speaker 2: was a money thing because they were gonna have to
- 23:32Speaker 2: resign him. So fourth round pick in exchange dirt cheap,
- 23:36Speaker 2: they'll pay him some money. And uh.
- 23:39Speaker 3: And then that was Sean What was was that there?
- 23:42Speaker 3: Who was there? Re sign? Who's that? All that go
- 23:44Speaker 3: up a little bit? I thought they had one more?
- 23:46Speaker 3: Oh no, it was the Dolmond he's right there. He signed.
- 23:49Speaker 2: They took the starting center from the Falcons. I'm not
- 23:52Speaker 2: really sure what the Falcons were thinking there because this guy,
- 23:55Speaker 2: he's not the number one center in the league, but
- 23:57Speaker 2: he's really very good. They had one of the better
- 23:59Speaker 2: offensive line. Look at the running game for the the Falcons,
- 24:02Speaker 2: and you know, as much as Brady not Brady Cousins
- 24:06Speaker 2: didn't play the best Poenix come in, he had good
- 24:08Speaker 2: protection right there.
- 24:10Speaker 1: You take care of your your interior line, interior line.
- 24:16Speaker 1: So yeah, the Bears don't really have to do That's
- 24:19Speaker 1: that that drafting. Now that in the first round, and
- 24:23Speaker 1: this is where I said that, you know, they're probably
- 24:25Speaker 1: gonna go for Ashton Ashton genty to get that running back.
- 24:28Speaker 2: Fits it, yeah, because they're I think that we looked
- 24:30Speaker 2: at was tenth. I think they picked that'll be about
- 24:33Speaker 2: the time that he did so good pickups for them.
- 24:36Speaker 2: You protect your freshman or he's a sophomore quarterback now
- 24:39Speaker 2: second year quarterback.
- 24:40Speaker 3: In the league.
- 24:42Speaker 2: So yeah, I think I think that was one of
- 24:44Speaker 2: the best. Also also in the NFC, if you want
- 24:48Speaker 2: to go to the NFC East, I thought another team
- 24:51Speaker 2: that has is really going all in.
- 24:55Speaker 3: Is the Commanders.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Oh yeah, Now, I thought they give up a lot
- 24:59Speaker 2: on the raid for Tunsil that Tounsel is still one
- 25:03Speaker 2: of the best left tackles, most important position.
- 25:07Speaker 3: But you give up three picks or four picks, you
- 25:09Speaker 3: get one in exchange.
- 25:10Speaker 1: But you also you also get that much needed protection.
- 25:15Speaker 3: Totally agree.
- 25:16Speaker 2: I totally agree kJ rsbord Re signs, he's okay deep,
- 25:22Speaker 2: you bring you resigned, which he's good enough as the
- 25:25Speaker 2: tight end.
- 25:25Speaker 3: He actually pretty played pretty well towards the end of
- 25:27Speaker 3: the year.
- 25:28Speaker 2: And then you bring in Deebo. Samuel Deebo is probably
- 25:31Speaker 2: not a number one. You know, you got McLaren there,
- 25:35Speaker 2: obviously it'll be a good number two though, if he's
- 25:39Speaker 2: healthy and that and and that's kind of a risk
- 25:42Speaker 2: reward deal.
- 25:45Speaker 1: A one year deal. Nicholas did very well for them.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Yeah, Mariota, good backup. No, it was a it was
- 25:52Speaker 2: a good backup.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Look at how long the kin Law.
- 25:56Speaker 2: No, they resigned him. He had him last year, but
- 25:58Speaker 2: the kin Law deal was in it resting. I wanted
- 26:01Speaker 2: to excuse me. I want to talk about that because
- 26:04Speaker 2: that's a huge pickup and another loss by the forty
- 26:06Speaker 2: I think kN Law was at the forty nine ers last.
- 26:08Speaker 1: Year because they also lost green green Law.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Green Law is green Law, ki Law, That's what I'm thinking.
- 26:25Speaker 2: I don't think he was.
- 26:27Speaker 1: They recent Trustway Oh you boy.
- 26:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I did see that obviously, punter.
- 26:33Speaker 1: But uh, they got Jonathan Jones signed to a one
- 26:37Speaker 1: year deal.
- 26:37Speaker 3: Ki Law was at the chats. It's green Law green Law.
- 26:45Speaker 1: It looks like they stacked up their defensive line. They
- 26:48Speaker 1: got Jacob Martin. They agreed to one you deal with
- 26:51Speaker 1: Dietrich Wise, Eddie Goldman, Eddie Goldman, god Old hen and twelve.
- 26:59Speaker 1: But now you look at their signings, there's Sunnings Major.
- 27:02Speaker 2: That was good because they were playoff team. They they
- 27:05Speaker 2: were in the NFC Championship game.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Now I got Kin and Wagner.
- 27:10Speaker 2: And so the and then Will Harris it's an okay
- 27:13Speaker 2: pick up? Or was he a re sign? He was?
- 27:18Speaker 1: It would have said if it was okay? Uh Noah.
- 27:24Speaker 3: Hung Yeah, I'm not. I'm not familiar. I'm not familiar
- 27:28Speaker 3: with his game. But the Ken kN Law deal was good,
- 27:33Speaker 3: and I thought, obviously, will Harris this in the Debo deal.
- 27:39Speaker 3: If Debo can can perform what he was in the
- 27:42Speaker 3: towns I'm not bitching about the Townshills.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Just you hate to give up that many picks, but
- 27:46Speaker 2: you are young and kind of loaded right now, so
- 27:49Speaker 2: that's what you gotta do. All right. Other team, oh ship,
- 27:53Speaker 2: we were already in that division. Sorry, go back to
- 27:55Speaker 2: the NFC North.
- 27:56Speaker 3: I thought the other team that excelled in free agents,
- 28:00Speaker 3: see was the Vikings.
- 28:04Speaker 1: I thought, that's weird, that's weird that Green Bay didn't
- 28:07Speaker 1: do anything.
- 28:08Speaker 2: Now the Vikings, now one might judge. One made judge
- 28:14Speaker 2: to let go of Sam Donald. I was for one
- 28:17Speaker 2: option of Sam Donald, and that was a franchise tag.
- 28:21Speaker 3: That's it. That's all you're gonna get. You're gonna get
- 28:23Speaker 3: one year.
- 28:24Speaker 2: He didn't want to do that, and I think they
- 28:26Speaker 2: were kind enough to say, Okay, we're gonna offer.
- 28:29Speaker 3: You this if you want to walk walk And he walked, and.
- 28:33Speaker 1: He walked for a starting deal knowing that he probably
- 28:36Speaker 1: wasn't gonna be the starter the next season, and.
- 28:38Speaker 3: Made good money going there to Seattle.
- 28:41Speaker 2: But I thought resigning Aaron Jones, it's a cheap deal,
- 28:44Speaker 2: thirteen guaranteed for two years. I mean Will Fries, I
- 28:47Speaker 2: thought that was a great year. Signed him a five year,
- 28:50Speaker 2: eighty eight million dollars. He was a cap casualty. And
- 28:53Speaker 2: then takes Jonathan Allen from Washington that was a cap casualty.
- 28:57Speaker 2: Now Jonathan Allen's had some injuries, but you know, three
- 29:01Speaker 2: or fifty one million has a maximum.
- 29:05Speaker 3: Thought that was a good good I mean they're focusing
- 29:07Speaker 3: on that defense is where they need and look.
- 29:09Speaker 1: At the iron Murphy reeson and that was a huge,
- 29:13Speaker 1: huge Isaiah Rogers.
- 29:17Speaker 2: I think I think that I think they just nailed it,
- 29:20Speaker 2: except in the quarterback if JJ is the guy.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Yeah, we didn't know what's happening with that back up.
- 29:26Speaker 2: Can you flip back over Sean and see after all
- 29:28Speaker 2: those signings, what the fat of what is Vikings.
- 29:32Speaker 1: As far as money, Minnesota Felda, they're at twenty nine thousand,
- 29:36Speaker 1: twenty nine million. They dropped to sixteen. But like I said,
- 29:41Speaker 1: I can't remember what all these were.
- 29:43Speaker 3: No, there's been a lot of movement, but I see a.
- 29:45Speaker 1: Lot of this has shifted. Sure, Sure, And here you
- 29:50Speaker 1: can see Atlanta the reason why they let their center go.
- 29:52Speaker 1: There's still a million under.
- 29:54Speaker 2: Oh that Kirk Cousin's pretty money. Just kill him killing then.
- 29:58Speaker 1: It is hold on, let's go look at Lanta. Then
- 30:00Speaker 1: we're gonna go take a quick look at Atlanta's dead
- 30:03Speaker 1: money cap casualties.
- 30:05Speaker 3: Well he's not dead yet because they haven't.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Oh he's got it, but he's got sixty five million.
- 30:12Speaker 1: His cap hits forty million, and that's what's that's really
- 30:17Speaker 1: what they need to get rid of. And he's thirty seven.
- 30:21Speaker 1: He's the oldest guy on the team. H And we
- 30:25Speaker 1: couldn't believe that they signed him to that much whenever
- 30:27Speaker 1: they signed him for the years that they signed but
- 30:30Speaker 1: they signed was it five years or something.
- 30:32Speaker 3: They've got some hi making Chris Linstrom and.
- 30:37Speaker 1: Jesse Bates, the third, Jake Matthews, aj Terrell.
- 30:43Speaker 3: You know that's another that's unless you live in Atlanta.
- 30:45Speaker 3: You probably don't lost.
- 30:48Speaker 1: I don't know. Look at Mooney, Mooney's making more money.
- 30:50Speaker 2: Yeah, and see a be Shawn and Drake, they're all
- 30:55Speaker 2: going to be coming up soon. I'm surprised you don't
- 30:58Speaker 2: hear a lot of it.
- 30:59Speaker 1: Yeah, and already we've still got three more years left
- 31:02Speaker 1: on Bijeon.
- 31:03Speaker 3: I was gonna say, Drake and Bjeon are young.
- 31:05Speaker 1: So did they get draft at the same time.
- 31:07Speaker 3: No, I don't before I don't remember, I.
- 31:11Speaker 1: Don't because you've got three years gonna contracts. Well, that's
- 31:17Speaker 1: what I'm saying that, that's that's where I'm going. And
- 31:19Speaker 1: you got Michael Penix who is five million in his
- 31:24Speaker 1: first year, cheating now coming in the second year. And
- 31:28Speaker 1: look at Ray Ray mcclouds down here like you're your
- 31:31Speaker 1: offensive weapons. You have signed cheaply, and you've got a
- 31:36Speaker 1: bunch of weird guys that are signed.
- 31:40Speaker 3: That sign for a lot of a lot of money.
- 31:42Speaker 3: A lot of money, yeah, just a lot of money.
- 31:45Speaker 2: So right, tackle and what kind of you should pay
- 31:47Speaker 2: more attention to defensive because I don't really Maybe is
- 31:51Speaker 2: Terraill that good?
- 31:52Speaker 3: A j Terrell? I mean, is he I mean, that's
- 31:55Speaker 3: some big ass.
- 31:55Speaker 1: I don't know he plays in the NFC South. So
- 31:58Speaker 1: you tell me.
- 31:59Speaker 2: Tampas the king, sob I think we've won through four
- 32:03Speaker 2: straight division titles. So yeah, because there's well okay, I
- 32:09Speaker 2: mean they got the same, no competition.
- 32:13Speaker 3: All right.
- 32:14Speaker 2: Back to other teams that excelled. We've got the Vikings,
- 32:17Speaker 2: the Bears Commanders. We talked about let's go to the
- 32:21Speaker 2: NFS or let's go the a f C East, which
- 32:26Speaker 2: I'm sorry, not East, it's the n f C West,
- 32:29Speaker 2: an f C West West West West West West, the
- 32:33Speaker 2: Harnessed Division. We talked about the NFC North. Oh, this
- 32:37Speaker 2: one is going to.
- 32:38Speaker 3: Take the cake. I think this year.
- 32:40Speaker 1: Do you think that they're going to be a North?
- 32:42Speaker 3: I do?
- 32:42Speaker 2: I do, because I think the Steelers are down and
- 32:46Speaker 2: I think the Bengals go up where your boy green
- 32:48Speaker 2: Law went. Yeah, he went to the Broncos. Yeah, I
- 32:52Speaker 2: got it wrote down. Good, Okay, So that's it. This
- 32:56Speaker 2: is the two teams that I thought that also had
- 32:58Speaker 2: good off seasons with.
- 33:00Speaker 3: And then with the Broncos.
- 33:02Speaker 2: I thought the Broncos with green Law, and I thought
- 33:04Speaker 2: the Hufanga. I mean, it's a it's it's a high deal,
- 33:08Speaker 2: but it's only twenty million guaranteed. I thought those that
- 33:11Speaker 2: was two good HighRes. I thought Steadham was a little high.
- 33:16Speaker 2: But then you go that was a good team.
- 33:20Speaker 1: Oh no, yeah, he's still there. And then and then
- 33:22Speaker 1: start out.
- 33:23Speaker 2: With and then you got Evan Ingram.
- 33:24Speaker 3: Evan came from gosh was he Jacksonville? Yes, Jacksonville, And
- 33:31Speaker 3: uh he's good.
- 33:32Speaker 1: That's why it was. That's why I'm surprised Jacksonville let
- 33:34Speaker 1: him go.
- 33:35Speaker 2: I'm not that's such a ship team and they haven't
- 33:37Speaker 2: had to run fast. No, wait, don't do it yet.
- 33:39Speaker 2: Let's look at the two teams that excelled. That's the
- 33:41Speaker 2: Jacksonville's just the team that's bad. But uh no, I
- 33:45Speaker 2: thought everything that they had and they kept from last
- 33:47Speaker 2: year and then they then they re signed those guys and.
- 33:54Speaker 1: Justin strand was.
- 33:57Speaker 3: I thought.
- 33:57Speaker 2: I thought the Greenlaw and the Ingram deal was just
- 33:59Speaker 2: out standing in a fanga too. They I mean, they're
- 34:01Speaker 2: gonna have to approve their secondary but the only thing
- 34:06Speaker 2: that I think that they may need. I'm trying to think,
- 34:08Speaker 2: who's their running back? Am I missing somebody now that
- 34:11Speaker 2: Williams is gone? Remember I had I picked up that
- 34:13Speaker 2: kid in fantasy that was really good from Notre Dame,
- 34:16Speaker 2: but he was third string and.
- 34:19Speaker 3: Uh, because.
- 34:23Speaker 2: Commissioner was like, who is that guy? I'm like, he's
- 34:25Speaker 2: gonna be the future star of Denver.
- 34:30Speaker 1: Yeah, I can't tell you who who their running back is.
- 34:35Speaker 3: Let's take.
- 34:38Speaker 2: Williams is going Javante Williams battle the batte guy.
- 34:47Speaker 3: No, let's see here we go. Oh McLaughlin okay, and
- 34:52Speaker 3: then Es, I think that's how you're pronounce it. That's
- 34:58Speaker 3: the guy I liked to me yesterday. Yeah, McLaughlin had
- 35:07Speaker 3: for almost five hundred dards. But it's perfect.
- 35:09Speaker 2: I mean, I think that team looks good and plus
- 35:11Speaker 2: there they didn't lose anything, and they're going they got
- 35:14Speaker 2: better and they made the playoffs.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Slash should have else, all right.
- 35:18Speaker 2: And then the other one is who is Oh, that's
- 35:25Speaker 2: the Chiefs and the other one I thought the other
- 35:27Speaker 2: one in that division was the Chargers. Okay, I think
- 35:35Speaker 2: the Chargers. I thought they did well and I like
- 35:37Speaker 2: the I like the Najia Harris. That's what we're talking about.
- 35:43Speaker 2: Mike Wims come back.
- 35:44Speaker 3: Najia Harris was huge.
- 35:49Speaker 1: And didn't they bring in are they looking to.
- 35:53Speaker 3: I think the Bosa til was a money thing when
- 35:55Speaker 3: you really get down to it.
- 35:56Speaker 1: I was to Shawn Hand, but I think they're looking
- 35:59Speaker 1: to drafted that position, that edge.
- 36:03Speaker 2: Yeah, well they were better last year. I mean they're better.
- 36:05Speaker 2: They also made the playoffs, and then they get a
- 36:08Speaker 2: better running back.
- 36:09Speaker 1: They got Dante Jackson.
- 36:11Speaker 3: And and they're gonna play good defense.
- 36:14Speaker 1: I'll probably draft some Benjamin Justin just just just stay.
- 36:20Speaker 1: He came over from Detroit.
- 36:28Speaker 2: I thought the nausea Harris still and signed, re signing
- 36:31Speaker 2: Khalil Mack and getting Mike Williams.
- 36:34Speaker 1: So we dogged Harris the entire time.
- 36:37Speaker 3: I didn't I liked him. I was dogged for liking him.
- 36:41Speaker 2: Yes, there was other people that were big fans of
- 36:45Speaker 2: Tyler Warren and everyone dogged me for the nausea Harris,
- 36:48Speaker 2: and I'm like whatever.
- 36:50Speaker 1: I just said back and looked at it, and I
- 36:51Speaker 1: was like, he's he's there, He's not there. He had
- 36:56Speaker 1: up and down, had an up and down season.
- 36:58Speaker 2: Well yeah, because I mean the offense for Pittsburgh hasn't
- 37:01Speaker 2: f and down season.
- 37:02Speaker 1: But if you look at the quarterbacks that he had,
- 37:04Speaker 1: of course he's going to have a not.
- 37:06Speaker 3: Even that it's just a line. They don't focus on offense.
- 37:08Speaker 1: But I know, but also the quarterback. Those quarterbacks aren't
- 37:11Speaker 1: going to be passing to you.
- 37:12Speaker 3: They're going to be running correct, all right.
- 37:14Speaker 1: And a lot of this, and both of those quarterbacks,
- 37:16Speaker 1: we're just going to take off and run.
- 37:18Speaker 3: Sure. No, I totally agree.
- 37:19Speaker 1: All right.
- 37:21Speaker 2: My top five and we talked a lot about this,
- 37:23Speaker 2: but my top five free agents signing so far is
- 37:26Speaker 2: no in particular, Ordernajie Harris to the Chargers.
- 37:28Speaker 3: I love Joey Bosa to the Bills.
- 37:31Speaker 2: Injury prone, yes, but if he works that good, it's
- 37:33Speaker 2: a McCaffrey type deal, stays healthy, he's a major.
- 37:36Speaker 3: He's a game changer.
- 37:38Speaker 2: Joe Thuney to the Bears, Gino Smith to the Raiders,
- 37:41Speaker 2: and little Known and Will and Pressed is a son.
- 37:45Speaker 2: Reddick signs a one year deal for Tampa. Had injuries
- 37:49Speaker 2: last year for the Jets. I'm just telling you it's
- 37:52Speaker 2: a good edge rusher. I think he's going to have
- 37:53Speaker 2: a good year. Tampa's most pressures were from the interior line.
- 37:59Speaker 1: Rare.
- 38:00Speaker 2: They hear that our interior defense had the most pressures
- 38:02Speaker 2: in the outside line. You bring some outside people, it's
- 38:05Speaker 2: going to make a big difference.
- 38:06Speaker 1: So yeah, I'm just going through that. He's looking to see,
- 38:09Speaker 1: Uh you know C J. Garner Johnson of course is
- 38:11Speaker 1: in is it Houston? Now, Houston didn't have a bad one.
- 38:16Speaker 1: They got Brackston Barrios for cheap. They got Christian Kirk
- 38:21Speaker 1: in the trade, who Christian Kirk has been in battled since.
- 38:23Speaker 3: No. I mean I didn't think they had bad I
- 38:25Speaker 3: mean they spent a lot of money. They did, but
- 38:27Speaker 3: they did. But but they did get rid of their
- 38:29Speaker 3: best left their offensive line and Mineman in a trade
- 38:32Speaker 3: and their line kind of sucked last year over all
- 38:35Speaker 3: the rest of them. So that's what happened.
- 38:38Speaker 2: So I don't know if that really helps them with
- 38:41Speaker 2: with the we're.
- 38:42Speaker 1: Looking at least other people looking at They got ed
- 38:46Speaker 1: Ingram from Minnesota for six round pick and Ingram wasn't horrible.
- 38:53Speaker 3: No, he's old.
- 38:54Speaker 1: I know that he's been there while. You know. You
- 38:57Speaker 1: you pick up Lincoln, Lincoln, Tomlins.
- 39:00Speaker 2: It's a band aid line and Barrio Steel is a
- 39:03Speaker 2: deal because tant Dale's go like went sideways four times.
- 39:06Speaker 1: Like I said, you also get Christian Kirk. Christian Kirk's problem.
- 39:09Speaker 3: I have talked highly about him. Yes, but but you
- 39:13Speaker 3: get C. J.
- 39:14Speaker 1: Gardner Smith. It was a trade, and that's when you
- 39:17Speaker 1: let Kenyon Green go as well.
- 39:20Speaker 2: You know, the Gardner Johnson was fine. I just I
- 39:23Speaker 2: just I found that watching their quarterback Stroud run for
- 39:27Speaker 2: his life last year and then get rid of their
- 39:29Speaker 2: best tackle, which could be a money thing, could be
- 39:34Speaker 2: a problem thing.
- 39:36Speaker 1: And here here you get is Pittsburgh. For all those
- 39:39Speaker 1: Pittsburgh fans out there, Mason Rudolph back, you picked up
- 39:43Speaker 1: Kenneth Gainwell, you traded for DK Metcalf, but then you
- 39:50Speaker 1: go out and you get Darius Slay on that defense
- 39:53Speaker 1: with Malik Harrison and you don't really need to do that.
- 39:59Speaker 1: On the defense. The defense was fine, weren't they They.
- 40:03Speaker 2: Well, they're all defensive oriented, that's the whole deal. They'll
- 40:06Speaker 2: they'll have seventy five defensive players. So what's the roster
- 40:09Speaker 2: fifty three? Yeah, I think fifty two defensive players.
- 40:15Speaker 3: And the other offense is like, well whatever, you know,
- 40:17Speaker 3: it's why they suck. It's just listen, I'm tired of
- 40:20Speaker 3: the Steelers.
- 40:21Speaker 1: You DeAndre, DeAndre goes to goes to Baltimore.
- 40:24Speaker 2: Where receivers go to die. So apparently, and I think
- 40:27Speaker 2: career die, not like the guy he's just saying that's fine.
- 40:33Speaker 2: I mean, who was there last year for a one
- 40:35Speaker 2: year deal at the end.
- 40:36Speaker 1: Putn't somebody there that was Bates?
- 40:41Speaker 3: Was it?
- 40:42Speaker 1: Yeah? I think Bates was there for it was a
- 40:45Speaker 1: guy that they let they ended up trading to Houston
- 40:49Speaker 1: and then and they picked him up just so they
- 40:55Speaker 1: could have a compensatory pick. Yeah, they wouldn't have read
- 40:58Speaker 1: it was he was a well known wide receiver that
- 41:01Speaker 1: just had fallen off.
- 41:05Speaker 2: All right, anything else on that free agency because it's
- 41:08Speaker 2: been you know, uh, for all you fantasy football people.
- 41:13Speaker 2: Next year, you gotta do some studying because you've got
- 41:15Speaker 2: some big changes coming changes and what quarterbacks.
- 41:21Speaker 1: This year?
- 41:21Speaker 3: Seems all right? Sean pull up actually in Las Vegas.
- 41:23Speaker 1: Seems they're gonna be a throwing team.
- 41:25Speaker 3: Do you have a pending best free agents available? What
- 41:29Speaker 3: do we have there on the list?
- 41:31Speaker 1: Do we have?
- 41:33Speaker 3: I just wanted to see who was still available had
- 41:36Speaker 3: been signed? God, I've got the freaking.
- 41:40Speaker 1: Well, Uh, Stefan Diggs, isn't he still open?
- 41:44Speaker 3: Yes?
- 41:45Speaker 1: Aaron Rodgers are still out there, and Tyler Lockett still
- 41:48Speaker 1: out there?
- 41:50Speaker 3: Yeah, where's the list, all right.
- 41:55Speaker 1: I don't know if you would have told me had
- 41:56Speaker 1: pulled up already.
- 41:58Speaker 3: Oh, I'm just I'm moving on to my next thing.
- 42:01Speaker 1: So do this season? Here we go.
- 42:06Speaker 3: I just want to see who was left not.
- 42:15Speaker 1: See available?
- 42:16Speaker 3: Who is available?
- 42:19Speaker 1: Aaron Rodgers to Fond Eggs, Tenan Allen von Miller, Amari Cooper,
- 42:25Speaker 1: Brandon Cooks, Deontay Johnson. I think Deanta Johnson's the one
- 42:30Speaker 1: we were thinking about, the one that went to Houston
- 42:34Speaker 1: and then they cut him and yeah, and Baltimore picked
- 42:38Speaker 1: him up.
- 42:38Speaker 2: Just yeah, I think I think Minnesota probably should pick
- 42:42Speaker 2: up another wide receiver.
- 42:43Speaker 1: We've got Cam Robinson, Tyler Lockett.
- 42:45Speaker 2: See, you're gonna get some cheapy wide receivers.
- 42:48Speaker 1: See Cam Robinson being out there as a very big
- 42:51Speaker 1: surprise to me, unless I guess it's just that he's
- 42:55Speaker 1: almost thirty and they're like, well just let him go.
- 42:58Speaker 3: I'm shred some money things. Same with Mason, probably slower
- 43:02Speaker 3: these days.
- 43:03Speaker 1: Other than that, I'm not seeing. We got Joe Flacco
- 43:09Speaker 1: still floating around. What is that guy? Eighty forty?
- 43:15Speaker 2: Could you see a scenario where he's the starting quarterback
- 43:18Speaker 2: the Giants?
- 43:18Speaker 1: I can see a starting quarterback for them. I can
- 43:21Speaker 1: see the starting quarterback the Steelers, the Steelers, Giants, Browns
- 43:25Speaker 1: again Tennessee.
- 43:27Speaker 2: I don't think he'll go back to the Browns. I
- 43:29Speaker 2: think they pissed him off.
- 43:31Speaker 1: Yeah, the Tennessee Titans. I could see him there.
- 43:34Speaker 4: Yeah, he could beat up Willows. Shaq Mason still I said,
- 43:39Speaker 4: Shack Mason is still there. James Bradbury being out. I mean,
- 43:45Speaker 4: there are some notable names. I don't really care about
- 43:48Speaker 4: Aaron Rodgers and what he does. Stefan Diggs has already
- 43:52Speaker 4: made his own grave.
- 43:54Speaker 1: He has dug his own grave with two teams.
- 43:57Speaker 2: Now he's yeah, but he is.
- 44:00Speaker 1: Von Miller is a surprise to me. He was, he
- 44:02Speaker 1: was a cap casualty.
- 44:03Speaker 2: He was, and he might resign at the Bills. Probably
- 44:05Speaker 2: will actually Amari Cooper, I think that. I think Amy.
- 44:09Speaker 2: I think Amari and Tyler. Tyler's a little old. I
- 44:13Speaker 2: think I think the Johnson.
- 44:16Speaker 1: But I think the Bears might try to bring Keenan
- 44:17Speaker 1: Allen back, but still a getting cheaper. Hell.
- 44:21Speaker 3: Maybe the Chargers bring Keenan Allen.
- 44:24Speaker 1: Yeah, you can go back there too, and helped him out.
- 44:26Speaker 2: They already brought back Williams. Bring back the crew again.
- 44:31Speaker 1: But you know, Tyler Lockett being out.
- 44:32Speaker 2: There probably best at two maybe a three, so never
- 44:37Speaker 2: a one. But Cooks is up way too as a
- 44:41Speaker 2: borderline one.
- 44:43Speaker 1: So right, but Brandon Cooks way, you know you always
- 44:48Speaker 1: thought that, you know, Brandon Allen's is gonna get Brandon
- 44:51Speaker 1: Cooks is gonna get resigned by Dallas. The cheapening. They
- 44:55Speaker 1: hope they're cheapening him. But I don't see I don't
- 45:00Speaker 1: see anybody out there that's that besides Von Miller and
- 45:03Speaker 1: Amari Cooper. Those those would be my two surprises that
- 45:06Speaker 1: are still setting.
- 45:09Speaker 3: Cool.
- 45:10Speaker 2: Let's move on, Let's talk a little. Let's get to
- 45:13Speaker 2: the scoreboard for the n C Double A. We'll tell
- 45:17Speaker 2: you a little bit right now tonight about the tournaments.
- 45:23Speaker 1: So Garrizona took out number nine Texas Tech. Well they're
- 45:31Speaker 1: playing tonight.
- 45:33Speaker 3: Oh gosh, we should have been Kentucky. We'd have got
- 45:35Speaker 3: to get killed by Alabama. Oh you you two to
- 45:41Speaker 3: one point two last second shots by.
- 45:44Speaker 1: They playing all their ship on the SEC network.
- 45:47Speaker 2: Otaga away watch why oh way yeah mmmmmm beats ou
- 45:56Speaker 2: twice in basketball. I do think, oh, use dancing issue
- 45:58Speaker 2: is not this year to you is not. Tea's coach
- 46:01Speaker 2: is probably gonna get fired. He might get another year.
- 46:04Speaker 1: Whoa to you? Didn't they just win the title basketball?
- 46:07Speaker 1: Yeah the tournament?
- 46:08Speaker 3: Now they won one game, they lost the time.
- 46:13Speaker 1: Second round.
- 46:13Speaker 3: Yes, they had one round win.
- 46:16Speaker 1: Said they won two rounds?
- 46:18Speaker 3: Had one?
- 46:19Speaker 1: Or are you are you women they almost won?
- 46:24Speaker 3: Are they still relevant?
- 46:25Speaker 1: Or no? The you women were in the Summit League
- 46:27Speaker 1: title game?
- 46:28Speaker 3: Or you men did fire their coach.
- 46:30Speaker 2: Look for Tulsa probably to fire theirs, not because he
- 46:33Speaker 2: deserves it, just because they got a new ad.
- 46:34Speaker 1: That happened. So we were just watching that from nine
- 46:37Speaker 1: to seventy Alabama over Kentucky.
- 46:41Speaker 3: That's just the quarterfinals, so they're gonna be one of
- 46:42Speaker 3: the ones and.
- 46:43Speaker 1: Alan, well, they're gonna end up against Auburn.
- 46:46Speaker 3: On the Creighton Yukon game.
- 46:48Speaker 2: We were just watching earlier because that was a pretty
- 46:51Speaker 2: good game. We probably should have finished watching.
- 46:55Speaker 3: Oh, go back up, go back up, real quick, go,
- 46:56Speaker 3: But I want to see that. Louisville, Yeah, log is
- 46:59Speaker 3: so good it Those.
- 47:01Speaker 2: Are two sneaky good teams and Clemson Louisville right or
- 47:05Speaker 2: Clinton right now looks is gonna win.
- 47:08Speaker 3: That'll move them into the championship game.
- 47:11Speaker 1: I don't know, it's a minute twenty two. A lot
- 47:12Speaker 1: of stupid could happen. So Michigan beats Purdue in that
- 47:16Speaker 1: quarterfinal by eighty six sixty eight.
- 47:19Speaker 2: That's a good turn in Arizona Houston in the championship right.
- 47:26Speaker 3: Who was Streakinglvin Sampson.
- 47:28Speaker 2: Another one seed.
- 47:29Speaker 1: Year, Auburn beat on miss sixty two fifty seven, which
- 47:36Speaker 1: will Miss probably shouldn't have been in that game. Florida
- 47:40Speaker 1: took up Missouri, Saint John's beat Marquette in the Big
- 47:46Speaker 1: East Coach of the Year, Michigan State beat Oregon, and
- 47:53Speaker 1: Michigan State's a sneaky team.
- 47:55Speaker 2: They are quietly you want to talk about a sneaky team.
- 47:58Speaker 2: Michigan State's a real estate. Florida and Michigan State. I
- 48:01Speaker 2: really do in this tournament, I really do.
- 48:04Speaker 3: Always disappoints. You always want to make them. Tennessee always
- 48:08Speaker 3: blows it.
- 48:10Speaker 1: Uh. Maryland took out Illinois.
- 48:13Speaker 3: Yeah, Maryland's good to flip on that Memphis game. See
- 48:16Speaker 3: if PJ.
- 48:16Speaker 2: Haggerty how well he did on that Memphis Which is
- 48:19Speaker 2: funny because Tulsa's coach could get fired after today's loss,
- 48:23Speaker 2: and you know, PJ.
- 48:24Speaker 1: Haggard, they don't have anything. PJ.
- 48:27Speaker 3: PJ.
- 48:27Speaker 2: Haggerty was Tulsa's best player last year and then he
- 48:31Speaker 2: transferred to Memphis and his rock and rolled at Memphis
- 48:34Speaker 2: this year.
- 48:35Speaker 1: Well, that's just a Tulsa problem of not having money
- 48:38Speaker 1: to pay for players or not. And so with a
- 48:41Speaker 1: new A D, I think we're gonna see a turnaround
- 48:43Speaker 1: for Tulsa in actually paying players. Wisconsin beat UCLA eighty
- 48:49Speaker 1: six seventy and of course Alabama ninety nine seventy. I
- 48:52Speaker 1: didn't see the Creighton. Let me just see if they've
- 48:56Speaker 1: they've got kidding.
- 48:57Speaker 2: Let's see what that crighton Yukon, that was.
- 48:59Speaker 1: The Okay, here's Tulsa and Tulsa's lost to North Texas finish.
- 49:02Speaker 2: Thirteen and twenty stinger the year.
- 49:06Speaker 1: I don't care about those teams. Garbage, garbage, are you
- 49:10Speaker 1: talking about that? And oh, VC, you beat Saint bonoviager.
- 49:17Speaker 2: That's a good win by Michigan, big, big, big man.
- 49:21Speaker 1: I know Grambling beat or lost to Alabama State by two.
- 49:27Speaker 1: That's in a gold baby. I'm not seeing keegoing.
- 49:32Speaker 3: He'll be there.
- 49:34Speaker 1: Is Yukon not ranked there? It is? Yeah, neither team
- 49:38Speaker 1: is ranked. So Creighton beat yukon seventy one sixty two.
- 49:42Speaker 2: It pull it out at the end.
- 49:44Speaker 1: That's kind of weird either one of those teams being ring.
- 49:46Speaker 2: But Creighton is that Boise State Okay, so wow, Boise
- 49:53Speaker 2: State beats New Mexico State. No, no, I do believe
- 49:58Speaker 2: that's Patino's son. So Boise State's on the bubble. He's
- 50:02Speaker 2: last one, their last one out.
- 50:05Speaker 1: And yeah, I did see. I did see that they
- 50:07Speaker 1: were the last.
- 50:07Speaker 2: Ones, and so I think they're gonna make it, potentially
- 50:12Speaker 2: make it in. They're going to play in the Mountain
- 50:14Speaker 2: West Championship.
- 50:15Speaker 1: Well, and like I said, so we go here to bracketology,
- 50:18Speaker 1: and I don't know if how much is this has changed.
- 50:21Speaker 1: I looked at it the other day.
- 50:23Speaker 2: Well it's three fourteen, and just looked back up.
- 50:26Speaker 3: Sectually when it's.
- 50:27Speaker 1: Updated it It was updated today, but I don't know
- 50:30Speaker 1: what they updated in this. So okay, now they're saying
- 50:37Speaker 1: Texas is the last team in, because I think that
- 50:39Speaker 1: that was Ohio States in one of them. Yeah, uh
- 50:45Speaker 1: so the first team out is still Boise State is still.
- 50:47Speaker 2: The first time Yeah okay, yeah that this was last
- 50:50Speaker 2: and so did you go up just a little bit.
- 50:52Speaker 2: It shows you the time.
- 50:54Speaker 1: What are you talking about?
- 50:55Speaker 2: Updated?
- 50:56Speaker 1: Okay?
- 50:57Speaker 2: At but what I was saying was today.
- 51:02Speaker 1: Changed from when I looked at it to.
- 51:04Speaker 3: Now, That's what I'm saying, This is updated.
- 51:06Speaker 1: I said that already.
- 51:07Speaker 3: Recent, not from you, but go ahead, but I'm already said.
- 51:10Speaker 3: But I wonder if the Boise State win was even
- 51:12Speaker 3: factored two Ariscot. It probably just got over with.
- 51:15Speaker 1: I don't know, but like I said, that Boise was
- 51:17Speaker 1: still the first team out the last time I looked
- 51:21Speaker 1: at it. Texas is now the last team in, and
- 51:23Speaker 1: I believe that was Ohio State was the last team in.
- 51:26Speaker 3: Gotcha? Okay?
- 51:28Speaker 1: And so we go down here and they will show you.
- 51:30Speaker 1: So here's all of our bubble teams and the first
- 51:32Speaker 1: outs and the last four in. All that, so Oklahoma
- 51:38Speaker 1: has moved from last four in over to last four byes,
- 51:44Speaker 1: and so Ohio State has moved over to next four out.
- 51:48Speaker 2: Now to talk about last four in, which is San
- 51:50Speaker 2: Diego State from the Mount West. Boise State is the
- 51:54Speaker 2: first four out. According to learning, Boise State beat San
- 51:57Speaker 2: Diego State in the tournament.
- 52:00Speaker 1: That can flip. Well, I don't know what was taking
- 52:03Speaker 1: what was San Diego State's standings.
- 52:05Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 52:07Speaker 1: Because a lot of the top twenty five teams, I.
- 52:09Speaker 2: Think North Carolina being in his trash. So I have
- 52:13Speaker 2: that they have one or no, they just have one,
- 52:16Speaker 2: like one or two quad win quad one wins Texas
- 52:20Speaker 2: get about.
- 52:21Speaker 1: I forget about that garbage. I forget about And what
- 52:25Speaker 1: did know you have? Because they had a lot. They
- 52:28Speaker 1: had a lot to begin with. Yes, remember we went
- 52:30Speaker 1: undefeated until we started SEC play correct say I forgot
- 52:37Speaker 1: that they do that quad bullshit?
- 52:42Speaker 3: All right?
- 52:43Speaker 1: So okay, so this has changed here because like I said,
- 52:47Speaker 1: so it was and I think I sent.
- 52:50Speaker 3: You that text.
- 52:51Speaker 2: Yeah, so ou has uh seven quad one wins and
- 52:57Speaker 2: then they have a bunch of the other.
- 53:00Speaker 1: So the sixty eighteen bracket, the play in games, it
- 53:05Speaker 1: was OU versus Indiana both at number eleven, and now
- 53:10Speaker 1: they have Xavier versus Texas projected.
- 53:17Speaker 3: Yeah, North Carolina has one quad four win.
- 53:20Speaker 1: It's too.
- 53:23Speaker 3: La, it's a neutral site.
- 53:26Speaker 1: Did they not get any for the ACC.
- 53:30Speaker 3: Quad two? They got No, That's what I'm saying.
- 53:34Speaker 2: You know quad two they're eight no and seven to one,
- 53:36Speaker 2: but there won eleven quad one. I don't know why
- 53:39Speaker 2: they're even in that hold on no, no, no, if
- 53:42Speaker 2: that name is not Carolina, they're not in period.
- 53:45Speaker 1: No, they are right now, right now, they're projected to
- 53:49Speaker 1: be a play in game.
- 53:51Speaker 3: Okay, they should be, so that best.
- 53:54Speaker 1: But it's against San Diego State and like a Texas
- 53:57Speaker 1: would be tasty. But that's what I said. So that
- 54:00Speaker 1: one changed that used to be Indiana.
- 54:01Speaker 2: Like a basketball party.
- 54:03Speaker 1: For that that used to be Indiana. O U. That
- 54:07Speaker 1: one right there, got you and I the American versus
- 54:11Speaker 1: Saint Francis.
- 54:12Speaker 2: I I think the American and Saint Francis, and I
- 54:16Speaker 2: think Edwards were and Jacksonville States fucked. If you win
- 54:19Speaker 2: your conference, you shouldn't have a playing game. You're in
- 54:22Speaker 2: any So that's what it used to be, but is
- 54:25Speaker 2: not a playing game. They've got to change that.
- 54:28Speaker 3: Do it.
- 54:29Speaker 2: You win your tournament, you're in in, not this playing ship.
- 54:33Speaker 2: But let them get slaughtered at the one seed.
- 54:35Speaker 1: So it looks like now we've got the South is Atlanta,
- 54:38Speaker 1: the East is Newark, Midwest is Indianapolis, in the West
- 54:43Speaker 1: is in San Francisco.
- 54:46Speaker 3: And Kansas Oklahoma.
- 54:50Speaker 1: They've got an automatic qualifier at number seven versus Utah
- 54:53Speaker 1: state Oklahoma has moved out of this Midwest Indianapolis region
- 54:59Speaker 1: over to San Francisco and May. It looks like they
- 55:05Speaker 1: would be a ten playing Saint Mary's at number seven.
- 55:08Speaker 1: This is projected, and somehow they bumped Missouri up. Let's
- 55:14Speaker 1: see that.
- 55:16Speaker 2: I know, butet right there, Well, yeah, that's that's what
- 55:20Speaker 2: I'm saying. This is where we attacker Saint Mary's.
- 55:22Speaker 1: Holy hell, well used to be over here in this Midwest,
- 55:28Speaker 1: and the Midwest is going to Houston. And there was
- 55:32Speaker 1: the way that it was set up that we played.
- 55:36Speaker 1: We played the automatic qualifier to get in, and then
- 55:39Speaker 1: we played Kansas, and if we had won that, like
- 55:43Speaker 1: somewhere here, we would have ended up in Houston. Just say,
- 55:45Speaker 1: I think that you.
- 55:46Speaker 2: Being a ten seeds a little low, I think it's
- 55:48Speaker 2: gonna be. I think we sneak in about a nine.
- 55:51Speaker 2: I really do.
- 55:52Speaker 1: Like I said, this is just this is all just
- 55:53Speaker 1: projection right now. We're waiting to see what happens to
- 55:57Speaker 1: everybody in there in their tournaments.
- 56:03Speaker 2: I just I just I just think North yeah, North yeah,
- 56:06Speaker 2: because there'll be a couple of early tournaments before selections
- 56:08Speaker 2: that I just think that North Carolina with these quad
- 56:12Speaker 2: one quad win against u C l A and they
- 56:14Speaker 2: won by two fucking points.
- 56:15Speaker 3: I don't get it.
- 56:17Speaker 2: I just I don't get Besides the name and the
- 56:20Speaker 2: color of the jersey, they're not anywhere close, uh to
- 56:24Speaker 2: be in a tournament team.
- 56:26Speaker 3: And I guarantee you team, I guarantee you.
- 56:29Speaker 2: Teams on the bubble like Arkansas, who are way more
- 56:32Speaker 2: fun to watch and better. I mean, I know, North
- 56:33Speaker 2: Carolina's got that one really good kid, but he's a senior,
- 56:36Speaker 2: so he's not the greatest. But now they did. Now
- 56:40Speaker 2: they're quad two wins. They did beat Dayton, who's not
- 56:43Speaker 2: in the tournament. I think they were one of the
- 56:44Speaker 2: first out. Notre Dame is out. I don't think they're
- 56:47Speaker 2: in the tournament.
- 56:48Speaker 1: See there's there's there's s.
- 56:51Speaker 2: M u's out.
- 56:51Speaker 3: I don't think SMU is making the tournament.
- 56:53Speaker 2: N C State's not making the tournament, Pittsburgh's not making
- 56:55Speaker 2: the tournament, Syracuse ain't making the tournament, Florida State's not
- 56:57Speaker 2: making the tournament, and Wake Forest ain't making the turn None.
- 57:00Speaker 1: Of those Wake Forest got a first four or next
- 57:03Speaker 1: four up.
- 57:04Speaker 3: Okay, so they're out, That's what I'm saying. So those
- 57:06Speaker 3: quad two, no one is making the tournament.
- 57:09Speaker 1: So it's tell me right here that they deserve to
- 57:14Speaker 1: be there. Would you say Indiana deserves that spot.
- 57:17Speaker 3: I would say, hold on, I'll tell you.
- 57:20Speaker 1: Or Ohio State deserves that spot. Hold on.
- 57:23Speaker 2: Hold So you've got who was the other one?
- 57:28Speaker 1: Indiana and Ohio State, the Boise State. If they win,
- 57:31Speaker 1: they're they're into that automatic qualifier.
- 57:34Speaker 2: So Indiana's quad they've got four quad wins, Penn State,
- 57:40Speaker 2: who sucks, Ohio State they ain't making it, Michigan State
- 57:44Speaker 2: and State, and they beat a killed Purdue. So Quad
- 57:49Speaker 2: two they're four and oh they beat USC, Penn State, Washington,
- 57:52Speaker 2: Ohio State.
- 57:53Speaker 1: So right now that looks way better than North Carolina's
- 57:56Speaker 1: as it is, damn right it does. That's a little
- 57:58Speaker 1: about Ohio State.
- 57:59Speaker 2: Ohio said they were are they close though, Let's do
- 58:03Speaker 2: Boise States?
- 58:04Speaker 3: Well there in Well, I know that, but they're fine.
- 58:09Speaker 2: Search real quick to see they have to play in
- 58:11Speaker 2: the Mountain West Championship. Well, I look at Boise State's squad.
- 58:16Speaker 2: They're two and five for Quad one wins. They beat
- 58:19Speaker 2: Clemson and Saint Mary's. That's two good wins. That's two
- 58:24Speaker 2: tournament wins. Too, But they did lose a Quad four
- 58:31Speaker 2: game to Boston College by two, and they lost a
- 58:35Speaker 2: Quad three game to Washington State by five, and that.
- 58:38Speaker 3: Was a neutral.
- 58:39Speaker 2: And they lost two Quad two games to San Diego State,
- 58:42Speaker 2: which is they've already beat them. They kind of exchanged
- 58:47Speaker 2: that back. And then they lost to Colorado State by ten.
- 58:51Speaker 1: So all right, well, Titysy is gonna be going out
- 58:55Speaker 1: because they're gonna play Auburn.
- 58:56Speaker 2: But lost to San Francisco, which I think is in
- 58:58Speaker 2: the tournament. Utah State I think's in the tournament. New
- 59:02Speaker 2: Mexico I think's in the tournament at an at large.
- 59:06Speaker 3: Colorado State they we don't know who they're playing. Then
- 59:10Speaker 3: seventy must be playing right now.
- 59:13Speaker 1: It's possible because.
- 59:14Speaker 3: A late game.
- 59:16Speaker 1: Yeah, so we don't know who boys he's playing right now.
- 59:20Speaker 1: That's well if Arizona Houston they're playing for the championship.
- 59:24Speaker 1: We don't know who North Texas is.
- 59:26Speaker 2: Playing at Ohio State. They're seventeen and fifteen. They probably
- 59:28Speaker 2: shouldn't get in. That's a shitty record, but they have
- 59:32Speaker 2: six squad win games. Beat Texas, beat Kentucky, beat Purdue
- 59:36Speaker 2: and Penn State, and beat Maryland Damn.
- 59:39Speaker 3: Those are some good wins in USC.
- 59:41Speaker 2: Okay, well, problem is, look hold on. Problem is the
- 59:45Speaker 2: quad two they had. They lost to Pittsburgh by one,
- 59:48Speaker 2: which they suh.
- 59:49Speaker 1: Why do we keep.
- 59:50Speaker 2: Lost to Indiana and lost to Northwestern by twenty shiit
- 59:54Speaker 2: twenty one.
- 59:57Speaker 3: And lost the Iowa farther coach.
- 59:59Speaker 1: So anyway, yeah, I saw that fifteen years So look
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: up Wake Forest.
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: Ohio State looks better than I mean, if you're just
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: looking at it, they look better than North Carolina.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, look up Wake Forests because this is what
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: we're looking at projected for for games going out for
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: teams and.
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: Eight beat Michigan, beat sm trash and trash. They're at
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: six and one. They lost n C State.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: Okay, so here they've got Arkansas as a number eleven.
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: They had seven they lost.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: They've already got Arkansas. They've already got Arkansas going in. Yeah.
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: I think Arkansas is and they should be.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: Yeah they So that's that's and I think that it was. Oh,
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: SEC went up a team. SEC had thirteen lost.
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: I think we're up to the fourteenth. I think we
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: were the last one in. That's why we kicked up
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: to fourteen.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: I bet it we were, we were projected somebody else.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: I think Texas is the.
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: Oh did Texas get in?
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: Well, that's what it's showing for the projection.
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: And that would be fourteen. Yeah, I think Texas deserves
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: to get in myself. Let's tell Big.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: Ten seems to have lost that one. So they you know,
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: they went, they were at ten, another at nine.
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: Texas is seven and ten in quad.
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: They beat Oklahoma, they beat Missouri, they beat A and M,
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: they beat Kentucky, they beat Mississippi State, they beat Vanderbilt,
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: they beat A and M.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: But the one thing I was, the one article that
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: I saw was a CEC crying about.
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: And their loss of quad twos was for some reason
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: it dropped to Arkansas, South Carolina, Georgia, Oklahoma.
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: I don't know how you.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: Can count a quad possibility when they were there, but.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: The possibility that the ACC's only got three teams.
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: In, that's nuts.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: They were crying. That's they were like one coaches like,
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: we're not the a sec of old, you know, because
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: Big twelve, No.
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: What do you got in the ACC? You got eight?
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: You've got Duke, you.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: Used to have used to have Duke. North Carolina Wake
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: Forest was always a.
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: Pre and I'm saying, what do you got now?
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: Just Duke, Clemson, Louisville Duke, if you want to look
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: at it. But you would take those teams and you
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: would add North Carolina to it. You would had Wake
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: Forest to it. Florida State was always right there. Notre Dame,
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: I believe plays in the a SEC. Now, so you've
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: lost all these teams and the Big the Big twelve
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: is working on becoming a basketball league.
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: Hey, listen, don't. And that's what's funny is the SEC
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: was not the basketball league. And then they talk about
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: bringing Texas. No, you brings them down. You just added
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: two more tournament.
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: Teams, right, And the fact that the SEC wasn't in
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: the Kentucky both you and Texas down years because Kentucky
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: was the only team that everybody ever knew from the
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: SEC to be a basketball school. Now it seems like
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: everybody but Vanderbilt and South Carolina are in. Yeah.
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: Now, I just I it bothers me to watch the
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: Carolina deal because I kind of been keeping up with
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: that and it's it's stupid.
- 1:03:11Speaker 3: It's it's got to stop. It has got to step.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: Love will always be there. They're the Yankees of college basketball,
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: and you know that you want to get into the
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: ladies bracketology. Sure you see what the women are doing. Now.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: The women's tournaments are all finished, correct, so they are done. Now.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: South Carolina is projected as the top overall seed, which
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: they should be. Virginia Tech is the first team out,
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: which is kind of crazy. Oh there's another team from
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: the ACC that usually plays in the tournament of vall Tech.
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: Yeah. Uh.
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: And Princeton is the last women's team in. Now their
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: bubble is way more understandable than the men's bubble.
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: Yes, thank you.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: You got the four left for last four byes.
- 1:04:12Speaker 5: Georgia Tech, Indiana, Nebraskkett, Origon and the last four in
- 1:04:15Speaker 5: Iowa State, Washington, Harvard, Princeton, which I would say those
- 1:04:19Speaker 5: two are probably more of a surprise the Ivy League
- 1:04:23Speaker 5: schools because they don't generally get in.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: You only get like one of the teams in first
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: four out VOTEC, Saint Joe's, jam u U n l V.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: Next four out Minnesota, Murray, Colorado, Arizona top seeds.
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: Now there was big Colorado State, Utah State.
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: Sorry interrupt, but that's the other game for the Mountain West.
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: Yes, So they go by region and their Region one Birmingham,
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: which South Carolina is going to be the top end
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: as Spokane's the number two region, which.
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: You see, Sure get down, just find Oklahoma. There's Oklahoma
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: State seventh seed. That looks like a very doable. I
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: don't like the Notre Dame matchup. And then what does
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: ou were they setting at? Oh, you should be probably
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: about a three initially.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: Initially I think the women were over here in this
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: UCLA let's go down and they had an easier route.
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: Oh u's probably three to they're.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: Over here now in the USC. They're over in Region
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: three in Spokane and they're at the three seed. And
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: I think their hardest is there's a Michigan NC State.
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: They should be a Sweet sixteen team.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: Uh yeah, they'll end up. It's it's heavily possible they
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: end up in the final four.
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: A North Carolina team's good, it is, but North Carolina
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: State sorry.
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: But that NC State team could also flub up here
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: because this Michigan team is good as well. I watched
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: those girls play a little bit. Region four is Birmingham,
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: and they gave Texas the number one.
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: Now I'm thinking Wes Moore. Where did he come from?
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: Wait? Is there two Birmingham's This doesn't make any.
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: Because I think he made the final four last year.
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: I believe.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: Region four is Birmingham as well.
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: Pretty sure they didn't.
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: Didn't North Carolina State make the final four last year? Uh?
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: Possible? I don't remember.
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: I think it is anything else on that All done
- 1:06:47Speaker 3: with that.
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: Let's switch over. Let's talk about were about an hour
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: and twenty.
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: Yeah, let's talk about the thunder Real Quick first place
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: in the West.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: Still Cleveland still has the best record.
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: NBA wants to investigate the thunderbock possibly to them by
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: the league. Yeah, what was players participation policy? Because they
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: set out five of the starters.
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: What game was that it was?
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: It was the Portland games.
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: They were still favored Vegas still favored by two and
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: a half. They won one hundred and seven to eighty nine.
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: So what is It's a Portland game.
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: And Shane missed, Shae missed his second game of the year,
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: and it was a home game.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: I know that this rule a home game, hold on.
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: I know that this rule is there for for large
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: game like big games, like bigger matchups like if Oklahoma
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: City were playing the Nuggets, sure, or if Oklahoma City
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: were playing the.
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: Lakers, or if it was a back to back.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: Yeah, but they're playing Portland and.
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: They won, and it's at home.
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: And they won handily. So I don't understand the improper absences.
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: Did they set them multiple games? It doesn't say anything
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: about that.
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: It was Shay's second gaming missed all year.
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: Okay, so.
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: That was it.
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: Did they not put him down on a.
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: Well, they all said they were gonna be out. That's
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: why it's spread dropped to two or two and a
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: half or something like that.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: And okay, so let me ask they all knew they
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: were setting out.
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: Hold on, it wasn't a gambling thing.
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: Sports don't want you to gamble, but yet when Vegas
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: is numbers fall all of a sudden it's an issue.
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: Well, no, they knew, that's that's the thing. Everybody knew
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: they were they were setting out. Everybody knew they were
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: setting out. So that's why the spread dropped because it's Portland.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: But that's what I'm saying.
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: What does it matter. It doesn't matter, That's what I'm saying.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: So it's it's a gambling thing, but not.
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: A gambling I think it's more about the NBA just
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: freaking out because all the stars set and generally what
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: it is is the stars set on road games because
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: people are paying ship ton of money to watch Lebron
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: come to Portland, let's say, and then Lebron's like, I'm
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: not playing.
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: Well he did that during the They do it all
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: the time. I don't know.
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: Jayla Williams is still out, by the way, Chet's been
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: out before that.
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: Shay.
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: They wanted to rest Day and and Dork maybe too.
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: I mean, I don't think they wanted to lose. It's
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: just they set them and maybe it was one of
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: those things that they thought, let's see if we can
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: set everybody and still win, and they did.
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: Hey, you want to see what's going on? I thought
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: we had seven wins. Look at us not being in
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: the last place with zero wins. But also, you've got
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: Colorado in twelve wins. I saw you guys dropped the game.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: Oh no, we won seven to something. Yeah, I saw
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: you guys. I saw that you're Mariners tonight. Your guardians
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: dropped a game to the Rockies earlier.
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: I'm playing the Mariners today. I haven't seen.
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: Just look at the look at the one thing though,
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: is Look at the differential, see how high it is,
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: and that's gonna be years is eight?
- 1:10:03Speaker 3: Yes, not bad at all.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: Here's Los Angeles Angels at thirty three and bother me
