  Speaker 1: Good morning. We've been talking this week about trusting God

  Speaker 1: amid the turmoil of our lives, and I have no

  Speaker 1: doubt that there are many of us who would say

  Speaker 1: right now, man, I am going through some major turmoil
• 0:19
  Speaker 1: in my life, and I need to learn how to
• 0:23
  Speaker 1: trust God. Well, you have got to build your relationship
• 0:28
  Speaker 1: with God if you want to learn to trust Him.
• 0:31
  Speaker 1: It's by knowing God that you come to trust Him.
• 0:34
  Speaker 1: You're never going to trust someone that you don't really know. No,
• 0:38
  Speaker 1: it's people you know that you can count on that
• 0:42
  Speaker 1: you trust. And so you need to get to know God.

  Speaker 1: You need to open your Bible every day and ask
• 0:48
  Speaker 1: God to reveal Himself to you. And as He does that,
• 0:51
  Speaker 1: then respond to Him, talk to Him. That's what praying is.

  Speaker 1: And as you talk to God and respond to Him
• 0:58
  Speaker 1: as He reveals Himself to you, you get to know Him.

  Speaker 1: And the more you know Him.

  Speaker 1: The more you trust Him, put God first in your life,

  Speaker 1: and you'll find your faith growing and growing and growing.

  Speaker 1: You know, sometimes when we face great times of difficulty
• 1:17
  Speaker 1: and stress and anxiety, distress, turmoil in our lives.

  Speaker 1: We can't even see or think about.
• 1:29
  Speaker 1: What to count on what to cling to.

  Speaker 1: And I want to tell you that there is one
• 1:35
  Speaker 1: thing that you can always count on. You may not
• 1:39
  Speaker 1: understand why God would allow this in your life right now.

  Speaker 1: You may not be able to see how God could
• 1:46
  Speaker 1: possibly use this circumstance in your life for a good purpose.

  Speaker 1: But no matter what you can't see, no matter what
• 1:55
  Speaker 1: you can't understand.

  Speaker 1: There is one thing that you can count on, one

  Speaker 1: thing that you can cling to during times of turmoil
• 2:07
  Speaker 1: in your life.

  Speaker 1: And that thing is found in Romans chapter 8.

  Speaker 1: Starting in verse 31.

  Speaker 1: The apostle Paul writes in the Bible, What then shall

  Speaker 1: we say to these things if God is for us.

  Speaker 1: Who is against us
• 2:28
  Speaker 1: He who did not spare his own son
• 2:32
  Speaker 1: But delivered him up for us all.

  Speaker 1: How will He not also with Him freely give us
• 2:39
  Speaker 1: all things if God was willing to allow His Son
• 2:43
  Speaker 1: to die on the cross because of His and His
• 2:47
  Speaker 1: Son's love for you? If He is willing to do that,

  Speaker 1: how can we think He wouldn't do so much more

  Speaker 1: for us that He's not for us? Of course he's
• 2:57
  Speaker 1: for us. If he was willing to do that.

  Speaker 1: Who will bring a charge against God's elect.

  Speaker 1: God is the one who justifies.

  Speaker 1: Who is the one who condemns

  Speaker 1: Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather, who was raised,

  Speaker 1: who is at the right hand of God and intercedes

  Speaker 1: for us. If one were to come against us in

  Speaker 1: God's law court, Jesus would stand up as our lawyer,
• 3:26
  Speaker 1: our advocate.

  Speaker 1: Who will separate us from the love of Christ?

  Speaker 1: Shall tribulation
• 3:37
  Speaker 1: Or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril
• 3:45
  Speaker 1: or sword

  Speaker 1: Ah, just as it is written, for your sake we
• 3:50
  Speaker 1: are being put to death all day long. We were

  Speaker 1: considered as sheep to be slaughtered. Listen, but

  Speaker 1: In all these things we overwhelmingly conquer.

  Speaker 1: Through Him who loved us, for I am convinced that

  Speaker 1: neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor things

  Speaker 1: present nor things to come, nor powers nor height nor

  Speaker 1: depth nor any other created thing shall be able to

  Speaker 1: separate us from the love of God.

  Speaker 1: Which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. What is the

  Speaker 1: one thing you can count on, whether or not you
• 4:36
  Speaker 1: can see God's purpose in your time of difficulty, whether
• 4:40
  Speaker 1: or not you can, uh,
• 4:43
  Speaker 1: Figure out what God is trying to do in your
• 4:46
  Speaker 1: life through it.
• 4:47
  Speaker 1: The one thing you can count on.
• 4:50
  Speaker 1: God loves you. He's proved it through giving of His
• 4:56
  Speaker 1: Son to die on the cross for you.
• 4:59
  Speaker 1: No matter what happens in your life, nothing can separate
• 5:02
  Speaker 1: you from God's love. Count on it.
