- 1:16Speaker 4: It's a podcast called twenty five Wists stuck in fun
- 1:20Speaker 4: bow and they go whist So, yeah, it's too bad,
- 1:24Speaker 4: But what did you expect. It's a podcast called twenty
- 1:28Speaker 4: five Whistles, Wine.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Wine, Welcome, blow the Whistle. I walked in, I think
- 1:35Speaker 1: on a weightlifting conversation.
- 1:36Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 1:37Speaker 1: I went to the bathroom when I came back smell
- 1:39Speaker 1: once every three weeks bathroom break. And were you guys,
- 1:42Speaker 1: I don't know, debating on who could lift the most
- 1:44Speaker 1: or what.
- 1:45Speaker 6: No, it's not the conversation you would think you would
- 1:47Speaker 6: be having about weightlifting.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Okay, it's you and Reed.
- 1:50Speaker 6: It was me and Reed talking about how our back's
- 1:52Speaker 6: hurt from the last workout. We did because we think
- 1:55Speaker 6: the trainer is putting too much weight for us.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Can I just suggest something? Yeah, yeah, you, And I
- 2:02Speaker 1: only say this because it's what I do. I'll go like, ah,
- 2:05Speaker 1: it's a little too much, let's pull some off.
- 2:08Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:08Speaker 6: But it's almost like he's I believe he does the
- 2:11Speaker 6: whole I believe in you, like you can do it.
- 2:14Speaker 6: So then mentally you're like, okay, okay, yeah, yeah, we
- 2:16Speaker 6: could do this, and then we do it, and it's like, oh,
- 2:19Speaker 6: it's gonna hurt for sure, and then we do it anyway, Okay.
- 2:23Speaker 7: So right, I also have the problem of saying no.
- 2:26Speaker 7: So he could put six hundred and fifty pounds on there,
- 2:28Speaker 7: and I would probably try to do it and kill myself.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Oh see, it's say you have a problem with with
- 2:32Speaker 1: not saying no.
- 2:33Speaker 8: Yeah, with not saying no.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, so that's kind of a you thing.
- 2:37Speaker 6: Oh for sure.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Okay. When what I heard was I felt like the
- 2:41Speaker 1: now that I know what, I was listening to your
- 2:42Speaker 1: blaming him.
- 2:44Speaker 6: Yeah, we were talking, well, well, we were complaining, and
- 2:46Speaker 6: then and then Kevin was listening to the conversation goes, well,
- 2:49Speaker 6: how much weight did you guys have?
- 2:50Speaker 1: Oh, and that's the number.
- 2:51Speaker 6: That's what we're doing, the numbers.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Okay, okay, okay, So a couple things I'd like to say.
- 2:54Speaker 6: Read I think what you say, three seventy?
- 2:56Speaker 8: I think he said like three seventy something like that.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Text them.
- 3:02Speaker 8: I know it was in the high threes.
- 3:04Speaker 1: No, there's no chance.
- 3:06Speaker 6: No way.
- 3:06Speaker 8: Are you sure?
- 3:07Speaker 1: No?
- 3:08Speaker 3: No, I would think not.
- 3:10Speaker 1: I'm listen.
- 3:11Speaker 6: Would it be in the two hundreds?
- 3:12Speaker 1: Yes?
- 3:13Speaker 9: Well that's I mean, that'ster Does he care around that much?
- 3:15Speaker 9: Wait in that I no, it's in my gym.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Oh, it's right.
- 3:18Speaker 8: Hang I told her abody his three seventy five.
- 3:19Speaker 6: Keep telling me.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Maybe it was. Let's stay hold on to are you
- 3:22Speaker 1: availed to talk on podcast? These guys are.
- 3:28Speaker 6: I don't want to think we're whimps.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Dude, we're just talking about whatever he thinks. It's not
- 3:32Speaker 1: because of a conversation that you're having. Now. These guys
- 3:36Speaker 1: are debating weights. Okay, if he is, Mike, can we
- 3:39Speaker 1: have somebody call from the studios so we can hear
- 3:41Speaker 1: him better?
- 3:42Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 3:42Speaker 1: Do you have Kevin's number?
- 3:45Speaker 6: Really?
- 3:45Speaker 5: Do?
- 3:46Speaker 1: I can? He may not be able to answer, but
- 3:48Speaker 1: I can share the contact with you right now and
- 3:53Speaker 1: our guest is three seventy. Yeah, well before I made
- 3:56Speaker 1: any sound, what were you thinking it was?
- 3:57Speaker 6: Right?
- 3:58Speaker 1: Honestly?
- 3:59Speaker 8: Like the way?
- 4:00Speaker 1: Yeah, no, no, no, don't because you already were saying numbers.
- 4:04Speaker 1: You already said it, So don't let don't let me
- 4:06Speaker 1: come and go like I said, if that's true, don't
- 4:08Speaker 1: let me come in and do that. And then you change,
- 4:10Speaker 1: like what did you genuinely think?
- 4:12Speaker 7: So genuinely I thought at one point he said three
- 4:14Speaker 7: fifty five before we went up and wait, okay.
- 4:17Speaker 6: And we went up from that.
- 4:19Speaker 7: So that's why I, you know, and hold that because
- 4:23Speaker 7: it could be true. God, I hope so so Maddy
- 4:25Speaker 7: thinks and Stone.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Hold that number?
- 4:29Speaker 3: Who called Stone after us?
- 4:30Speaker 1: Well, Stone wasn't there, okay? And yes I sent it.
- 4:35Speaker 1: I guess you didn't get it.
- 4:36Speaker 6: I have this calculus. It's a it's a disorder of numbers.
- 4:40Speaker 6: But if we're at three fifty five, how do we
- 4:43Speaker 6: get to three seventy?
- 4:44Speaker 1: Well, fifteen, so I'd be somehow seven and a half
- 4:46Speaker 1: on eight sights, you could have five and a two
- 4:48Speaker 1: and a half. No, that didn't have to I don't
- 4:53Speaker 1: think I have two and a half.
- 4:54Speaker 6: I think you do.
- 4:55Speaker 1: But that doesn't mean he's not near. So I'll wait
- 4:58Speaker 1: and see if he hits us back.
- 5:00Speaker 8: He hung his keys on the side, dude.
- 5:01Speaker 1: A couple of things I should say. One, I do know.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Did you tell you tell me what you had to
- 5:06Speaker 1: get a shot?
- 5:07Speaker 6: Ah?
- 5:07Speaker 8: Yeah, I just told him that.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Yeah, so ready to go to the doctor get a
- 5:10Speaker 1: steroid shock. His back was hurting, and Eddie is like,
- 5:14Speaker 1: I won't say no, And I'm like, well, just say
- 5:17Speaker 1: it's too heavy or do this? Do it with craig form,
- 5:21Speaker 1: because you've been for sure, you've been taught to craig form.
- 5:24Speaker 1: We've been working out, well, Eddie, you and I for
- 5:27Speaker 1: two years.
- 5:27Speaker 6: Yes, we're about we're getting on two years.
- 5:29Speaker 1: It's not like read's a verge into this read. You've
- 5:31Speaker 1: been doing it with us.
- 5:32Speaker 7: For it's like eight, eight or nine months now, correct,
- 5:37Speaker 7: So I'm here.
- 5:38Speaker 6: You think he's frustrated with our.
- 5:40Speaker 1: No, I don't think he cares. Everybody's different, No, I know.
- 5:42Speaker 6: But you talk about the form and everything, like two
- 5:44Speaker 6: years of working out with someone, you should probably get
- 5:47Speaker 6: the form. Like it's not like it's the first time
- 5:49Speaker 6: we've done dead lifts, like I should get the form.
- 5:51Speaker 6: But to me, the dead lift position in the whole
- 5:56Speaker 6: process isn't natural to my body. So I've had to
- 5:59Speaker 6: just like, but.
- 6:00Speaker 1: That's what someone says as an excuse, it's not that's
- 6:02Speaker 1: not natural. No, that doesn't count.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Are you saying you're not flexing?
- 6:06Speaker 1: None of that's not definitely not flexing me either, Yeah,
- 6:08Speaker 1: me neither.
- 6:09Speaker 6: And he always says rounded back, and I'm like, that's
- 6:12Speaker 6: how I was born.
- 6:15Speaker 7: Un Ba.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Does this feel like a lot of excuses to you?
- 6:17Speaker 9: Yeah, the best for it. As soon as you walked in,
- 6:20Speaker 9: they were like, oh yeah yeah, but like before.
- 6:21Speaker 3: They were, they were.
- 6:23Speaker 9: Like complaining even more hanky, and then Bobby walked in
- 6:29Speaker 9: and it was like, oh yeah, it was like five.
- 6:31Speaker 6: But we feel good.
- 6:33Speaker 1: I don't pressure you guys to lift more. And there
- 6:36Speaker 1: are times and I will say, hey, I'm good. I
- 6:38Speaker 1: do not need to go up because I know that
- 6:40Speaker 1: either I'm not feeling it. I've been sick for three
- 6:42Speaker 1: weeks with some stupid stomach infection, and so I would
- 6:45Speaker 1: be I would even say hey, take me down, because
- 6:48Speaker 1: I want to be able to get the most out
- 6:49Speaker 1: of it, and if if it's too heavy, I can't
- 6:51Speaker 1: get the most out of it. Because I'm not gonna
- 6:53Speaker 1: do it right. I'm gonna do it bad form. If
- 6:54Speaker 1: it's too heavy, we do, which is what you do.
- 6:56Speaker 1: So lose the ego because dude, even if you get it,
- 6:59Speaker 1: you don't like that.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Cool.
- 7:00Speaker 1: It's not like we're Instagram weightlifting influencers now.
- 7:04Speaker 6: I know, but just for so we don't hurt ourselves.
- 7:06Speaker 6: We're gonna do it right.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, but you do it less. If you do
- 7:09Speaker 1: it less, you can do it right.
- 7:10Speaker 6: But there's also the thing too, where like Bobby has
- 7:12Speaker 6: his weight right, like Bobby does five eighty.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Okay, that's not true, but I'll accept your your hyperbole
- 7:19Speaker 1: here for a story's sake.
- 7:20Speaker 6: Go ahead, uh, five eighty right, and then like all right,
- 7:23Speaker 6: Bobby do seven? He does it all right, Eddie, you're up,
- 7:26Speaker 6: and then oh, I got to take off all this weight. Done,
- 7:29Speaker 6: takes time. Our Eddie goes, oh, read, now take out
- 7:32Speaker 6: more weight.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Hey, I'm doing the same weight as you, and then
- 7:35Speaker 1: only till only recently. Let's just keep it, let's keep
- 7:37Speaker 1: it real.
- 7:37Speaker 6: But yes, okay, go ahead, and then Bobby's up again, like, oh,
- 7:39Speaker 6: let's get all that weight again, put it back on.
- 7:41Speaker 6: So to me, it's like I don't want to waste
- 7:43Speaker 6: all that time like that.
- 7:45Speaker 1: I can understand, yeah, because I don't klug. Was like
- 7:48Speaker 1: once he was like, hey, we'll just work out together
- 7:50Speaker 1: on this day, and because he needs to work out anyway,
- 7:52Speaker 1: and to me that I feel extremely inferior because he's
- 7:56Speaker 1: a big dude and we're doing bench and he's like
- 7:58Speaker 1: loading up plates and every time I got a ben
- 8:00Speaker 1: he's gotta pull crap off. It doesn't feel good, but
- 8:03Speaker 1: it is what it is, Okay, so we're gonna get
- 8:08Speaker 1: him on.
- 8:11Speaker 7: I just did some math and I think I'm wrong
- 8:13Speaker 7: on my calculation.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Well, no, you stick to it when Clue gets on.
- 8:16Speaker 1: If he gets on, you do not start to recalculate.
- 8:19Speaker 6: It's three three seventy is what I've written down.
- 8:21Speaker 9: That is a hard thing to overcome, though, to like
- 8:23Speaker 9: go down and wait, even if it's just you guys,
- 8:26Speaker 9: because I'm the same way and I have a bad
- 8:28Speaker 9: shoulder from the football days ten years ago, but I
- 8:30Speaker 9: can't do a lot of weight when it comes to
- 8:32Speaker 9: pushing at certain angles and it kills me inside. And
- 8:35Speaker 9: the trainer will come over like that's all you're doing,
- 8:37Speaker 9: and like I get defensive. You know because you can't
- 8:39Speaker 9: help it.
- 8:40Speaker 1: So I he says, is that all you're doing?
- 8:41Speaker 9: Huh, Well, he'll just say like, hey, I do that,
- 8:43Speaker 9: Like it's it's a it's a technique that they're using
- 8:46Speaker 9: to motivate.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Is that all you're doing? Dude, somebody says that to me,
- 8:52Speaker 1: I'm going to meet them in a different place. Is
- 8:54Speaker 1: that all you're doing?
- 8:55Speaker 6: Like, let's take it outside.
- 8:57Speaker 1: No, no, no, I don't need just planet. That could
- 9:01Speaker 1: be up man woman the end, I feel like that
- 9:05Speaker 1: that's not cool.
- 9:06Speaker 9: But it's the same as like if Klue he probably
- 9:08Speaker 9: has different techniques for all you guys first coaching you
- 9:10Speaker 9: and like.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Is that all you're doing? Is like judgment you could
- 9:15Speaker 1: be hurt? You could That feels like almost negative.
- 9:19Speaker 6: I like it, Yeah, you do like it.
- 9:21Speaker 3: I do like it.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Injury, is that all you're doing?
- 9:23Speaker 6: But you just said you get defensive? So how do
- 9:24Speaker 6: you like? Yeah?
- 9:25Speaker 9: Because but then I got to remind myself, like at
- 9:27Speaker 9: the end of the day, who really gives a crow?
- 9:28Speaker 9: Like this is what I can do? And then I
- 9:30Speaker 9: tell them the injury and you're like, oh, okay, my bad.
- 9:31Speaker 6: My bad still makes me a little bit more exactly.
- 9:36Speaker 1: I don't like is that all you're doing like is
- 9:37Speaker 1: a human It's a good way to do it. You
- 9:40Speaker 1: could do like find out what's up with them and
- 9:42Speaker 1: then be like, oh, I bet you can get a
- 9:43Speaker 1: lot stronger or I don't know. I like that one.
- 9:48Speaker 3: But you guys are also a lot more intimate.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Introduce him to me.
- 9:51Speaker 6: What do you mean intimate?
- 9:52Speaker 9: Like, I'm I'm in a group by that man, I'm
- 9:56Speaker 9: in a group of anywhere between ten and forty people.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Those are off Weister cross Fit, and I would hurt myself. Yeah,
- 10:02Speaker 1: because it was a big group. Everybody's like trying to
- 10:04Speaker 1: compete with each other. I'm just trying to do it
- 10:06Speaker 1: fast and win, and I was ripping out backs, bones, legs,
- 10:10Speaker 1: neck the worst. Is that kind of what it is?
- 10:13Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 10:14Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean if you don't have proper form, they
- 10:15Speaker 9: don't have the time to sit there and teach you
- 10:17Speaker 9: one on one.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Like Clue does with you guys at all.
- 10:20Speaker 6: Right, it don't work two years if you guys haven't learned, and.
- 10:24Speaker 1: It's a simple it's a simple dead left. Yeah. Okay,
- 10:27Speaker 1: but if you do if you do do that wrong,
- 10:29Speaker 1: if you have the right, but his body's not built
- 10:31Speaker 1: it hurts, but that's why you do it lighter. I
- 10:33Speaker 1: get it right.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Totally agree.
- 10:34Speaker 6: I've never worked out. I started working out when I
- 10:36Speaker 6: was forty three years ago.
- 10:38Speaker 1: It doesn't matter.
- 10:38Speaker 6: That is my body has been doing something for forty
- 10:42Speaker 6: three years, and then it's hard to adjust to that.
- 10:44Speaker 1: You understand it's not it's hard for you to do
- 10:49Speaker 1: it because you have not committed to doing it right
- 10:52Speaker 1: and you've not committed to letting your ego go and
- 10:54Speaker 1: doing it a lot less until you can do it right.
- 10:57Speaker 1: That's all. It is. Lego, the ego, and you'll get
- 10:59Speaker 1: so much stronger.
- 11:00Speaker 6: I don't have ego.
- 11:02Speaker 1: You just literally said you don't like when they wait
- 11:03Speaker 1: to get pulled off. Why is that?
- 11:05Speaker 6: I don't want to waste time.
- 11:06Speaker 1: That's not true. You love boys in time. You love
- 11:07Speaker 1: talking to him the whole time to keep it. You
- 11:09Speaker 1: love talking. You love keeping him talking so we don't
- 11:11Speaker 1: have to work.
- 11:12Speaker 6: Sometimes maybe we get a set off.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Yeah, and I'm not hating you for it either. You
- 11:17Speaker 1: know I'm there. I'm with you.
- 11:18Speaker 6: You got to find little ways to help your workout.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Man, if he hits me back, oh, he says, he
- 11:24Speaker 1: has ten minutes now, Okay, I'm gonna say, Mike will
- 11:28Speaker 1: call you from a number, just answer standby please God.
- 11:40Speaker 6: And got what a lot of Well are you going
- 11:43Speaker 6: to be?
- 11:45Speaker 1: By the way, Kevin's a great trainer, is awesome. He
- 11:48Speaker 1: has a whole business of he has many many trainers
- 11:52Speaker 1: under him, his own business called Cluk Fitness. Many vans
- 11:55Speaker 1: not many vans. And why they travel to your house.
- 11:59Speaker 1: I work have a clue for four years or so,
- 12:01Speaker 1: four or five years. So he's the best, which is
- 12:04Speaker 1: the only reason I will bring him on. And he's
- 12:05Speaker 1: been on another capacities before, but they're putting him on
- 12:08Speaker 1: right now. You got him, he's on what you put on? Hey, hey, Kevin, Bobby,
- 12:13Speaker 1: there was this Mike. No, it's Bobby. Now it's Bobby,
- 12:16Speaker 1: Eddie Reid. It's our whole little crew here. Okay, just
- 12:18Speaker 1: so you know, love it. Okay. So I walked into
- 12:22Speaker 1: the room and I was out of the room and
- 12:24Speaker 1: I walk in and I'm just catching the backside of
- 12:26Speaker 1: a conversation from Reid and Reid was talking about how
- 12:30Speaker 1: much he deadlifts and Red Reid just wants to know,
- 12:34Speaker 1: first of all, if the number is correct, So read
- 12:36Speaker 1: what's what? What were you saying how much did you
- 12:39Speaker 1: dead left?
- 12:39Speaker 8: Oh dude, that was seventy pounds?
- 12:42Speaker 1: So Red was telling us he did last three seventy
- 12:45Speaker 1: Can you give us would you mind giving me some context?
- 12:52Speaker 1: Like because he obviously doesn't know. And I was like,
- 12:55Speaker 1: I'm not going to say you're wrong. Maybe maybe I'm wrong.
- 12:57Speaker 1: What do you tell me about three seventy and about reed?
- 13:00Speaker 8: I could have sworn I heard you say three fifty.
- 13:04Speaker 10: Slice that in half, and we still gotta go south
- 13:06Speaker 10: as a number?
- 13:10Speaker 6: What do you no?
- 13:11Speaker 4: No?
- 13:11Speaker 10: No, okay, so real quick, he has made progress, but
- 13:15Speaker 10: we warm up at one thirty five and then we
- 13:18Speaker 10: go to one eighty five, and then we go to
- 13:20Speaker 10: two o five and that's the most he has done
- 13:23Speaker 10: for three to five reps.
- 13:24Speaker 8: So there wasn't a fifty in there at all.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Never, dude, it's not even the hilarious point. I swear
- 13:30Speaker 1: I heard he's two o five is what he's saying.
- 13:33Speaker 1: You've kept out and you were yelling three eighty five
- 13:35Speaker 1: in the room, so read thought he three eighty five,
- 13:40Speaker 1: and I was like, I do not think that's accurate.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Now'll get there, Eddie, Yo, what do you what did
- 13:44Speaker 1: you think you deadlifted.
- 13:45Speaker 6: Uh, I said, well, I was just joking with him.
- 13:48Speaker 6: I said, like, no, it was. It was in the
- 13:49Speaker 6: five hundreds. I was joking. Okay, gotta gott but I
- 13:52Speaker 6: figured two fifty that's what I thought we were around.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Okay with Eddie, Kevin.
- 13:58Speaker 10: Eddie has done two twenty five. If he could ever
- 14:04Speaker 10: stand up with that upper back first and not your hip,
- 14:07Speaker 10: we'd be at probably two seventy five or three fifteen,
- 14:10Speaker 10: strong enough to do. But he's at two twenty five. Bobby, Uh, Okay,
- 14:15Speaker 10: done fifteen.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I've gotten a threes before three fifteen, probably like
- 14:20Speaker 1: four times, six times, something like that. But I'm not
- 14:22Speaker 1: talking about me. It's not about me.
- 14:23Speaker 6: I have, but I like that reference.
- 14:25Speaker 1: I don't need a number to make me if I'm
- 14:27Speaker 1: working hard. I know I'm working hard. And wherever it's
- 14:29Speaker 1: at we're at now, that leads us to something else.
- 14:31Speaker 6: Great.
- 14:31Speaker 1: I don't want to have a few minutes with Kevin.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Eddie said that he does not dead left well because
- 14:35Speaker 1: his body is not made for it like he because
- 14:38Speaker 1: he's all they're both hurting like Reid's, like had to
- 14:40Speaker 1: get a needle in his back, in his butt because
- 14:42Speaker 1: he had to get a steroid in his back, and
- 14:44Speaker 1: Eddie's like, Eddie's back hurts today, and he's like, well,
- 14:47Speaker 1: my body doesn't allow me to dead left properly. And
- 14:50Speaker 1: I say, no, it's not your body, it's your ego.
- 14:52Speaker 1: But what do you think about when someone says their
- 14:54Speaker 1: body doesn't allow them to dead left. It's not injured.
- 14:58Speaker 10: We just haven't done it enough, be honest with you.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Two years, Yeah, because we really, I mean there's a
- 15:05Speaker 1: period we're only going two days a week.
- 15:07Speaker 10: There's some weeks where I don't throw deadlift at you.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Man.
- 15:11Speaker 10: Yeah, I mean if we wanted to, if your goal
- 15:13Speaker 10: was to specifically get better at deadlift and we deadlift
- 15:15Speaker 10: two to maybe three.
- 15:16Speaker 6: Times a week, that is not my way.
- 15:20Speaker 10: My well, that's what I'm saying, Like, no, go ahead,
- 15:24Speaker 10: We just we taste it, so we actually train it.
- 15:27Speaker 10: We don't sit there and uh, you know, put it
- 15:30Speaker 10: in the program so we can get to a four
- 15:32Speaker 10: hundred pound deadlift. We throw it to make sure we
- 15:34Speaker 10: have a healthy back. I know you've got a sore
- 15:36Speaker 10: back today, but that even tells me we should maybe
- 15:39Speaker 10: do a little bit more of it.
- 15:41Speaker 6: You're talking about.
- 15:42Speaker 1: So this is where this is what I was expressing
- 15:45Speaker 1: to him, because Eddie gets embarrassed when he has to
- 15:48Speaker 1: take weight off to do deadlift after I and go.
- 15:50Speaker 1: I'm like, hey, man, if you have an ego, you're
- 15:52Speaker 1: not going to get any better. And now I compared
- 15:53Speaker 1: it to me working out with you if you have
- 15:55Speaker 1: full plates off, if I'm bench pressing after Cavin and yeah,
- 15:58Speaker 1: okay for a second, you're like, well this sucks. It's
- 16:00Speaker 1: but I have to drop that ego. I'm not as
- 16:01Speaker 1: strong as him, and if I'm going to get stronger,
- 16:03Speaker 1: I got to work a lighter weight until I can
- 16:04Speaker 1: get stronger. And with Eddie, I'm like, he's like, it's
- 16:06Speaker 1: just so heavy, and I'm like, if you really feel
- 16:09Speaker 1: that way, do as I do and go, hey, I
- 16:11Speaker 1: think I'm maxed out at this right here, I'm not
- 16:12Speaker 1: going to go up like you count on us to
- 16:14Speaker 1: say if our body hurts, right.
- 16:18Speaker 10: Right, I also see bar speed, So I want to
- 16:21Speaker 10: take the ego part completely out of it. For I know, Bob,
- 16:24Speaker 10: you've been doing it longer, but like Eddie and Read,
- 16:26Speaker 10: for instance, they shouldn't have any ego lifting because I'm
- 16:30Speaker 10: the one who's steering the ship. And if I see
- 16:32Speaker 10: the bar speed. It's fast, then we add weight. If
- 16:34Speaker 10: it's slow and it looks like shit, then we go less.
- 16:37Speaker 10: And my job is to take the ego out of it.
- 16:41Speaker 1: They're just embarrassed when weight has to come off after
- 16:43Speaker 1: I'm done, and they.
- 16:44Speaker 6: Go, be honest, Kevin, when you have to take the
- 16:47Speaker 6: weight off, or you kind of like, oh my gosh,
- 16:48Speaker 6: we've been doing this for two years. What we have
- 16:50Speaker 6: to keep doing this?
- 16:52Speaker 10: Uh no, No, I don't get frustrated with it. I
- 16:56Speaker 10: really don't. With time, it'll he'll click And.
- 17:01Speaker 1: I told him, you work with a lot of different
- 17:03Speaker 1: people that lift a lot of different weights. It's never
- 17:04Speaker 1: really about the number. It's about the work putting in
- 17:08Speaker 1: and how much stronger and more efficient you are. And
- 17:11Speaker 1: so these two knuckleheads need to realize they don't have
- 17:14Speaker 1: to like be oh, I don't lift as much. I'm
- 17:16Speaker 1: a whimp. Your whimps. Anyway, it doesn't matter your whims
- 17:19Speaker 1: both of your whimps.
- 17:21Speaker 6: It's not true.
- 17:22Speaker 10: I'm a king wembue, Bobby.
- 17:24Speaker 6: I'm true.
- 17:25Speaker 1: I'm king of the whimps.
- 17:26Speaker 6: I'm gonna we myself what you just called us, then
- 17:28Speaker 6: say we are whims.
- 17:29Speaker 1: I just didn't. We're all wims. Some of us are
- 17:31Speaker 1: swimping the others, but we're all okay. So any advice
- 17:36Speaker 1: for people out there, Kevin, that are listening, that are
- 17:38Speaker 1: exert and you're coming to the new year. All right, everybody,
- 17:40Speaker 1: I'm gonna get in shape. I'm gonna get fit. Like
- 17:42Speaker 1: what as the trainer in my mind? A plus number
- 17:46Speaker 1: one trainer. What is your advice for somebody who's just
- 17:49Speaker 1: starting to get on their fitness train.
- 17:53Speaker 10: It's as simple as it sounds, is just do something. Typically,
- 17:57Speaker 10: I would actual you to start with a warm up,
- 17:59Speaker 10: ten minutes of a warm up because a lot of
- 18:00Speaker 10: people aren't motivated to actually do a full sixty minute workout.
- 18:04Speaker 10: So just go do a warm up. There's a strong
- 18:06Speaker 10: chance you do not leave right after your warm up,
- 18:09Speaker 10: you at least complete ten to fifteen more minutes of whatever.
- 18:12Speaker 10: You know you'll do it. So to start with a
- 18:15Speaker 10: warm up, start small, but put it, put it in
- 18:20Speaker 10: your phone as a meeting, and make it non negotiable.
- 18:24Speaker 10: Get the ship done.
- 18:25Speaker 1: All right, Thank you, Kevin, appreciate every buddy. And by
- 18:28Speaker 1: the way, read are you are you working?
- 18:30Speaker 8: I'll be there.
- 18:31Speaker 1: You had to get a shot I'm good. I called
- 18:33Speaker 1: read like eight o'clock one. I I at the doctor
- 18:34Speaker 1: getting a needle my butt.
- 18:36Speaker 7: I just knew what happened last time, and I knew
- 18:38Speaker 7: I wasn't gonna be able to sleep because once I
- 18:39Speaker 7: get steal, it stiffens up and starts aching.
- 18:42Speaker 8: So I was like, I'm just gonna go.
- 18:43Speaker 3: Do you stretch read ever?
- 18:45Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 18:45Speaker 1: Yeah? All right, Kevin, Thank you, buddy, Thank you guys.
- 18:49Speaker 1: All right, there is Kevin clicks. Well, I'm atually nothing
- 18:52Speaker 1: to do it. I'm in sports. It's just us being adults.

- 19:29Speaker 1: anywhere between two and six players, and obviously more players
- 19:34Speaker 1: the odds it gets sure a little harder. But the rewards,
- 19:38Speaker 1: who now we're talking, but we're talking about Let's say
- 19:41Speaker 1: you pick a couple players and you go more less
- 19:43Speaker 1: of a stat touchdowns, receptions. Let's say the say Derrick
- 19:46Speaker 1: Henry one point five touchdowns you could pick over or under.
- 19:51Speaker 1: Now that's not one up there right now, but there's touchdowns, receptions,
- 19:55Speaker 1: rushing yards. If all this you hit, boom, It's awesome basketball.
- 19:59Speaker 1: This happens a lot. It is a great way to

- 20:41Speaker 1: I never really thought I'd be the guy, at least
- 20:44Speaker 1: not this early. But I've been married three years now, Wow,
- 20:46Speaker 1: which is crazy. That is crazy because three, I mean
- 20:48Speaker 1: it feels everybody says it. It feels like just yesterday. I'm
- 20:51Speaker 1: glad it does. It's not the opposite though, because I
- 20:53Speaker 1: do have friends I think got married and they're like,
- 20:55Speaker 1: we've only married a few years, and it feels like a.
- 20:56Speaker 6: Hundred years exactly.
- 20:59Speaker 1: It does feel short. I was thinking about it my
- 21:01Speaker 1: wife last night. I was like, we saw a lot
- 21:03Speaker 1: of fun together, not that we shouldn't and I and
- 21:06Speaker 1: we don't have kids yet, so that's not the thing.
- 21:10Speaker 1: But it's like I still laugh as hard at her
- 21:14Speaker 1: jokes as when I met her. She does not laugh
- 21:17Speaker 1: at heart. Maybe I'm just a one trick pony though,
- 21:19Speaker 1: That is what I started to think about. No, No, like
- 21:20Speaker 1: she has like depth and I feel like I'm funny
- 21:23Speaker 1: as f Sometimes everyone just gets a little and maybe
- 21:27Speaker 1: she's funnier than she used to be.
- 21:28Speaker 6: I know that. But like when you hang out with
- 21:30Speaker 6: someone like you, you, you and I do. We laugh
- 21:32Speaker 6: all the time, but but we hang out so much
- 21:35Speaker 6: that sometimes we just don't laugh. We don't even catch
- 21:37Speaker 6: each other's jokes because we're around each other so long
- 21:39Speaker 6: so many times. Does that make sense?
- 21:42Speaker 1: So marriage, Like, I wasn't supposed to hurt my own
- 21:44Speaker 1: feelings with this, but now I've heard of my own
- 21:45Speaker 1: feelings because I was gonna talk like Vin because he's
- 21:47Speaker 1: getting married. I'm glad to finish your thing because this
- 21:49Speaker 1: was not intended for me to hurt my own feelings.
- 21:51Speaker 1: But go ahead, Eddie, finished your time.
- 21:53Speaker 6: I'm saying that you're still funny. Thank you. Just when
- 21:57Speaker 6: you hear when you're with someone so so long, it
- 22:00Speaker 6: just kind of dilutes it a little bit. But dude,
- 22:02Speaker 6: you are still funny.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Like I'm witty as craft like. That's my strength is
- 22:06Speaker 1: that I'm quick. I'm not going to out joke write
- 22:09Speaker 1: Dave Chappelle, and I can write jokes at an okay
- 22:12Speaker 1: level only okay, but usually if I'm like doing stand up,
- 22:16Speaker 1: but I'm telling the jokes I've written the best stuff
- 22:18Speaker 1: comes from it after I've told it and had to
- 22:20Speaker 1: react from the response, like I know my strength is
- 22:24Speaker 1: being witty and quick, not concept punchline. Okay, yes, and
- 22:31Speaker 1: this was never about this. I was gonna get Kevin,
- 22:33Speaker 1: but now I got to go on a whole rant.
- 22:34Speaker 1: I too, I got to go on a whole rant.
- 22:37Speaker 1: And I didn't know this was gonna be the case
- 22:39Speaker 1: because we're mostly talking about sports here. But one of
- 22:43Speaker 1: my frustrations with myself with my wife, but it's with myself.
- 22:48Speaker 1: Whenever I was touring consistently doing stand up, which means
- 22:54Speaker 1: I was in the mindset of I'm always thinking of
- 22:56Speaker 1: jokes now never like concept joke punch never never, never,
- 23:01Speaker 1: I'll write ideas to talk about on the show. And
- 23:03Speaker 1: our show's one hundred percent improvisational meaning and there's a
- 23:10Speaker 1: different element to our show. Amy's so random, like I
- 23:13Speaker 1: never know where she's going to go on the Bybone Show,
- 23:15Speaker 1: and I never know where she's going to go. And
- 23:16Speaker 1: I like that about her because she, who knows Eddie
- 23:22Speaker 1: to me, is by far the funniest person on the show.
- 23:24Speaker 1: But I think our sensibilities are the same. You are
- 23:27Speaker 1: funny enough to set me up at times, and there
- 23:29Speaker 1: are things that you say that I think go go
- 23:31Speaker 1: way underappreciated. So maybebe just because we have the same
- 23:34Speaker 1: sense of humor, right, I think that's it. And we
- 23:36Speaker 1: spend so much time on a stage together, we can
- 23:38Speaker 1: predictive text. We can even set each other up a bit.
- 23:41Speaker 1: I can set you up to set me.
- 23:42Speaker 6: Up ninety nine percent of the time. I know where
- 23:44Speaker 6: you're trying to go with something.
- 23:46Speaker 1: But then I wonder, is it just because I go
- 23:47Speaker 1: to the same place. Nope, So nope, no, my so
- 23:51Speaker 1: look that's my thing. However, my wife's thing is also that.
- 23:55Speaker 1: But also I would be writing jokes. I'd be sitting
- 23:57Speaker 1: there and I'd have my laptop open, and she has
- 23:59Speaker 1: no interest in jokes. But I'd be like, whoa, oh,
- 24:03Speaker 1: this punchline here, And she wouldn't even ask me, like
- 24:05Speaker 1: what's going because she just lets me do a thing.
- 24:09Speaker 1: And I would laugh and she'd be like, oh, you
- 24:10Speaker 1: got a good one. I was like, yeah, I think
- 24:12Speaker 1: it's pretty good. You want to hear it. She's like,
- 24:13Speaker 1: I don't know. And it's not that she won't think
- 24:17Speaker 1: it's funny, it's that she knows if I say what
- 24:21Speaker 1: do you think she has to give me her real opinion? Yeah,
- 24:24Speaker 1: I never set the rule if she had to always
- 24:26Speaker 1: be honest with me, and if I could have, maybe
- 24:28Speaker 1: I wouldn't have. But she has set that rule about
- 24:31Speaker 1: anything that I do. If she likes it, she says it.
- 24:33Speaker 1: If she doesn't, she doesn't, and then my book fell
- 24:36Speaker 1: until you don't. I do talk about like, have somebody
- 24:38Speaker 1: that tells you suck, because you can believe them when
- 24:40Speaker 1: they tell you you're good, because everybody will always be like,
- 24:42Speaker 1: oh yeah, your haircut looks great. Oh yeah, your shirt
- 24:44Speaker 1: looks good. Oh yeah, that's you're hilarious. And if they're
- 24:47Speaker 1: only that, how do you even know they're telling you
- 24:49Speaker 1: the truth unless they also can hit you with the ah,
- 24:52Speaker 1: your shirt doesn't look that good today. So for me,
- 24:54Speaker 1: I really can never believe anybody complimenting me unless I
- 24:58Speaker 1: have heard them before say something not hurtful, but like
- 25:01Speaker 1: oh yeah, I don't think that's really the move. Try this,
- 25:03Speaker 1: because then when they do say the good thing, I
- 25:04Speaker 1: know it's for real. And so my wife we definitely
- 25:07Speaker 1: have that relationship because she won't. She will not even
- 25:09Speaker 1: give me a sympathy laugh when I'm like, hey, give
- 25:11Speaker 1: me a sympthy laugh. She won't do it, so i'd
- 25:13Speaker 1: be writing a joke patch Lin be pretty good or
- 25:16Speaker 1: really good, I think, and she's like, huh, that's that's all.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Like she goes, well, yeah, that's it's kind of funny. Okay,
- 25:28Speaker 1: it's kind of funny. So and then I know that
- 25:32Speaker 1: it's gonna hurt me, but I need to ask for
- 25:34Speaker 1: the benefit of it. But I know it's gonna hurt me.
- 25:40Speaker 1: It's just kind of funny. Why is what's to keep
- 25:43Speaker 1: what's holding it back? It's low hanging fruit.
- 25:47Speaker 6: It's too easy of a joke.
- 25:48Speaker 1: I'll be but but it's funny. It's like my job
- 25:51Speaker 1: is to get them to laugh. She's like, yeah, but
- 25:53Speaker 1: you're smarter than that. And at the same time, I'm insulted,
- 25:56Speaker 1: and I'm also complimented because you're smarter that. She's like,
- 26:01Speaker 1: you're smarter than that joke, and I'm like, but she
- 26:04Speaker 1: has a too low hanging fruit. And then I made
- 26:06Speaker 1: the mistake a couple times, and it's not a mistake
- 26:09Speaker 1: anymore because now we'll do it and not get my
- 26:10Speaker 1: feelings hurt to say, Okay, you're so smart, write it better.
- 26:17Speaker 1: She's like, okay, And the first time she did, I
- 26:20Speaker 1: was at my core offended. And I wasn't even offended.
- 26:24Speaker 1: I think I was just sad that I she was
- 26:26Speaker 1: better at it than me without even trying. And I said,
- 26:30Speaker 1: I wish, I wish. I remember the joke, but I
- 26:32Speaker 1: remember feeling it and feelings, getting my feelings hurt so bad,
- 26:35Speaker 1: and she did not hurt my feelings. She did everything
- 26:38Speaker 1: she tried to not to be a part of it,
- 26:40Speaker 1: and then once she was in, she was like, I'm
- 26:43Speaker 1: going to be supportive in the way of honesty, and
- 26:47Speaker 1: she wrote the joke better, and I remember thinking I
- 26:49Speaker 1: may not be better. So I went out and I
- 26:51Speaker 1: told the joke over two nights, two different ways, and
- 26:53Speaker 1: the way I told it got some good laughs, and
- 26:55Speaker 1: I'd have felt good about it, and I'd have been like, oh,
- 26:56Speaker 1: I can make that better. How I remember the joke?
- 26:59Speaker 6: You do I hear now the joke.
- 27:00Speaker 1: I don't remember exactly how it happened, but I remember
- 27:02Speaker 1: the joke now. And then I told her way the
- 27:05Speaker 1: second time, freaking deaf comedy, Oh yeah, oursio, And I
- 27:12Speaker 1: just remember whenever she did that, I was so hurt
- 27:19Speaker 1: because I felt inadequate. I wasn't hurt by what she did.
- 27:23Speaker 1: I hurt because it felt like I was inadequate. This
- 27:26Speaker 1: is what I do. This is what I get paid
- 27:27Speaker 1: to do. Heck, comes on tickets fifty sixty seventy eighty
- 27:30Speaker 1: bucks a pop to come to a theater to watch
- 27:31Speaker 1: me tell jokes, and the person who does not want
- 27:33Speaker 1: to get on stage for any reason whatsoever, who has
- 27:35Speaker 1: no history of writing anything or any any ambition to
- 27:38Speaker 1: be just went, oh, but you could do this, this
- 27:41Speaker 1: would be better. She's not just saying you can do
- 27:42Speaker 1: it better or it could be better. She goes, yeah,
- 27:44Speaker 1: you can do better, and this I try this, and
- 27:46Speaker 1: it was better.
- 27:47Speaker 6: Yeah, I see that.
- 27:48Speaker 1: And it's the greatest thing that's happened to me now,
- 27:52Speaker 1: although I still struggle sometimes, but it's also the one
- 27:55Speaker 1: of the weirdest, hardest relationship things that's happened to me.
- 27:59Speaker 1: The joke mostly, and I can't remember how she punched
- 28:01Speaker 1: it up, but the whole thing was my wife's always
- 28:02Speaker 1: been like, if you die, I don't want you to
- 28:06Speaker 1: marry anybody else. And I was like, ah, and so
- 28:10Speaker 1: I'm writing a joke about that, and my wife's like
- 28:13Speaker 1: and people are gonna tell you like your friends. My
- 28:17Speaker 1: friends are gonna be like, nah, she was just kidding,
- 28:20Speaker 1: you should really look marry somebody else. And I don't
- 28:24Speaker 1: remember what I was about. I had some punchline and
- 28:26Speaker 1: it was pretty funny, and then whatever she said, whatever,
- 28:31Speaker 1: I gotta look in my notes. It was so much funnier,
- 28:33Speaker 1: and I told it, and then I told her version
- 28:35Speaker 1: at the Opry And that's the hardest crowd because they
- 28:38Speaker 1: didn't come to see me, and they're all ages and
- 28:39Speaker 1: from all over the country. And I remember the Opry
- 28:42Speaker 1: went Deaf Comedy Jam and I was like, I have
- 28:44Speaker 1: to get over my ego on this part.
- 28:47Speaker 3: Is that the only one? Or has there been multiple?
- 28:49Speaker 6: There's been.
- 28:49Speaker 1: There's been a few specific jokes, but there are also
- 28:54Speaker 1: times where I will leave the show because she would travel,
- 29:00Speaker 1: not every show, not even half the shows, but she'd
- 29:02Speaker 1: come to some uf they were close because we'd fly
- 29:04Speaker 1: private and we could and if Eddie came to do
- 29:06Speaker 1: Raging Idiots is part of like the stand up act,
- 29:09Speaker 1: Eddie would come, so she was like, I want to
- 29:10Speaker 1: go hang out. It's all our friends. So we'd fly
- 29:13Speaker 1: over like Charleston and fly back that night. Type of thing.
- 29:15Speaker 1: So she'd go to do those, and I'd have to
- 29:18Speaker 1: be careful because I come off as people be like, hey,
- 29:20Speaker 1: good show, good show, and you're you want to be
- 29:23Speaker 1: told good show. Everybody does. What's funny is even the greats,
- 29:28Speaker 1: And I'm a mid by far sometimes are my comedians
- 29:30Speaker 1: like artists, Like when christ Ableton leave the stage, she
- 29:33Speaker 1: wants to be told good show. When Carrie Underwood finishes
- 29:36Speaker 1: the show show, she wants people to be like, hey,
- 29:37Speaker 1: you did a good job. We think they don't want
- 29:38Speaker 1: to hear that because well, of course they know they're great,
- 29:43Speaker 1: but everybody wants to hear it because we need it.
- 29:48Speaker 1: So I would try to avoid and I'd be like, oh, man,
- 29:52Speaker 1: that's pretty good. Did you watching the show? Would you think?
- 29:55Speaker 6: Ah?
- 29:56Speaker 1: And you ask it then you know you're asking for
- 29:59Speaker 1: the truth. And she's I just going like this, and
- 30:01Speaker 1: she's like, I thought's pretty good, and she'll do that
- 30:04Speaker 1: I think, or the worst when she goes I think
- 30:06Speaker 1: the crowd liked.
- 30:06Speaker 6: It, Oh what do you mean by that?
- 30:10Speaker 1: You didn't like? Well, we didn't like it, And she'll go, well,
- 30:13Speaker 1: I've seen it ten times, right, right, I said, But
- 30:15Speaker 1: I tried some new stuff. And she's like, yeah, I said,
- 30:17Speaker 1: any of that stuff work. And she was like, I
- 30:19Speaker 1: thought this is pretty funny that that's pretty funny. What
- 30:22Speaker 1: about this? Uh, you know you gotta so that started happening.
- 30:26Speaker 1: It was so hard for me. It was because I
- 30:29Speaker 1: just feel so inadequate, so insecure. Anyway, That's why I
- 30:32Speaker 1: do this whole job. Right, You only want to be
- 30:34Speaker 1: a performer because you feel insecure and in adequate. That's
- 30:36Speaker 1: the only reads to anybody's performer ever, because you're getting love,
- 30:38Speaker 1: you're trying to find love in a different form or fashion.
- 30:41Speaker 3: Really accept yes, all of that.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Even a performer, let's say it's not even a stage performer,
- 30:47Speaker 1: a performer in life, like someone who's like always like performing,
- 30:50Speaker 1: not even like shows, but in their actions. Like performance
- 30:54Speaker 1: for the most part is to have positivity given back
- 30:59Speaker 1: to you for that perform I just happened to go
- 31:01Speaker 1: the extra mile and I've tried to perform.
- 31:03Speaker 9: In every avenue, your radio, stand up, everything, everything. I
- 31:06Speaker 9: feel like social media is like that a lot.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely for the big performance.
- 31:09Speaker 9: Quiet point and even the quietest people I know personally,
- 31:12Speaker 9: great point, they're allowed on social media.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Great points. And the reason I'm getting all back to Kevin,
- 31:17Speaker 1: because Kevin brought up oh yeah, we're talking about it
- 31:19Speaker 1: definitely triggered me, you don't even know yet. Definitely triggered
- 31:21Speaker 1: me in my heart and like the good, hardest way.
- 31:23Speaker 1: And so my wife would be like, yeah, yeah, you know,
- 31:26Speaker 1: do this, do this, and it has benefited me greatly.
- 31:31Speaker 1: It still sometimes it feels hurtful to me that I
- 31:35Speaker 1: feel like I'm not There's a part two where she
- 31:41Speaker 1: wouldn't if we did the show, and there was a
- 31:43Speaker 1: part of the tour where Eddie did like fifteen shows
- 31:46Speaker 1: in a row, like the idiots would come out and
- 31:47Speaker 1: we'd play fifteen or twenty minutes or so in the middle,
- 31:50Speaker 1: and then I'd finished the show whatever commediately inspistional. Eddie
- 31:55Speaker 1: came to most.
- 31:56Speaker 6: Most of those shows, all of them.
- 31:57Speaker 1: Yeah, And so the funny thing my wife would say
- 32:03Speaker 1: was she would always wonder, like because she had seen
- 32:05Speaker 1: the show a hundred times, like, why okay, after he'side
- 32:08Speaker 1: a hundred times and if you know, I'm not doing
- 32:09Speaker 1: anything new, I'm just trying to get ready for like
- 32:11Speaker 1: when we finally recorded the special, and she'd be like,
- 32:15Speaker 1: I knew it was about time. To come up because
- 32:16Speaker 1: you just met your dad.
- 32:19Speaker 6: Yeah in the and that was.
- 32:21Speaker 1: A joke, And that was a joke her and Eddie
- 32:22Speaker 1: had was like, hey, you know, the show's about over
- 32:24Speaker 1: because he just met his dad.
- 32:25Speaker 6: So like I would be like, you know, backstage or whatever,
- 32:28Speaker 6: changing and then I'd come back and see Caitlyn, like
- 32:30Speaker 6: has he met his dad yet, like just.
- 32:32Speaker 4: To see.
- 32:34Speaker 1: Because like in the serious part that turns into a joke,
- 32:38Speaker 1: and their whole joke was, oh, yeah, he just met
- 32:40Speaker 1: his dad, so we probably get ready to go there.
- 32:42Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, that was funny.
- 32:45Speaker 1: It's and Eddie could probably speak on this better than
- 32:47Speaker 1: I could for a bit. But it's bizarre to be
- 32:49Speaker 1: married to somebody that's better at you than what you're at,
- 32:53Speaker 1: what you're celebrated for. Like I am celebrated.
- 32:56Speaker 6: I have a great career.
- 32:58Speaker 1: In saying compelling things, radio, podcast comedy, doing television shows,
- 33:03Speaker 1: writing books. I have no doubt that my wife would
- 33:06Speaker 1: have focused on that. She would have been better at
- 33:07Speaker 1: me at every single one of those things. She has
- 33:10Speaker 1: no interest in it. And it is a bizarre feeling
- 33:15Speaker 1: to be like I want to turn it on and
- 33:18Speaker 1: just kill like take over a room and mostly I
- 33:22Speaker 1: don't because I'm quiet. But if it's like on, I
- 33:23Speaker 1: gotta be on. I can dominate a room.
- 33:26Speaker 9: Is that an attraction for you? You think like subconsciously,
- 33:30Speaker 9: we're getting deep here.
- 33:31Speaker 1: I think it got I think it got more the
- 33:35Speaker 1: more we were together. I think at first she was
- 33:37Speaker 1: just cutting funny. Yeah, first, like just cut, she would
- 33:41Speaker 1: cut what limb would you like to have cut off?
- 33:43Speaker 1: Because she will cut it off and be hilarious about it. Then, yes,
- 33:47Speaker 1: I'm very attractive to that now. But it is a
- 33:49Speaker 1: bizarre situation to be like, I'm the funniest guy in
- 33:51Speaker 1: the room, I'm the smartest guy in the This is
- 33:53Speaker 1: just in my head, me thinking this, I and most
- 33:56Speaker 1: successful guy in the room. And then I go home
- 33:58Speaker 1: and at home, I'm not that that's crazy, but that's
- 34:02Speaker 1: something that I have learned that to be grateful for
- 34:07Speaker 1: because I used to not be grateful for it at all.
- 34:09Speaker 1: That's a weird part because Kevin's getting married stuff.
- 34:13Speaker 6: Yeah, Kevin's getting married.
- 34:14Speaker 1: That's been the weirdest part for me is that. And
- 34:16Speaker 1: also I never co habitate everything one ever. I was
- 34:18Speaker 1: never engaged, I never had anything. Another weird part, and
- 34:23Speaker 1: I felt myself shift here and to what we were going
- 34:25Speaker 1: to talk about on this show, and the segment was,
- 34:28Speaker 1: my wife comes from a family of die hard Oklahoma fans,
- 34:33Speaker 1: not casuals, not moderates, which would be more than casual
- 34:43Speaker 1: DH all the way, like they are, oh you born bred,
- 34:47Speaker 1: die hard, die hard. Her dad reads the recruiting boards,
- 34:51Speaker 1: her who's who's out, who is where's the possible offensive
- 34:55Speaker 1: coordinator coming from? Like they are in on every level.
- 34:58Speaker 1: Lincoln Riley's dead them. You know he went to USC.
- 35:01Speaker 1: They wrote against USC as hard as possible, Like they
- 35:05Speaker 1: have what I have for Arkansas. It is weird to
- 35:10Speaker 1: be with somebody who has that because I've only ever
- 35:13Speaker 1: had mine. And I was like, eventually we have kids
- 35:16Speaker 1: and for sure going raised back fans and watchs like
- 35:17Speaker 1: no that I think be Oklahoma fans. I'm like, oh
- 35:19Speaker 1: my god, my wife, my life start upside down. So
- 35:21Speaker 1: now I'm like strategizing, how do I make the kid
- 35:22Speaker 1: a Arkansas fan. It's weird to be in a family
- 35:27Speaker 1: that has another alpha team that you have to respect
- 35:33Speaker 1: because it's as important to them. Does your fiance have
- 35:37Speaker 1: an alpha team?
- 35:38Speaker 3: Yes, it is Alabama.
- 35:41Speaker 1: Oh you know what's good for you?
- 35:42Speaker 9: Is you don't only have a team, No, Tennessee, that's.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Kind of okay, okay, but go ahead, I'm gonna act
- 35:48Speaker 1: like Tennessee is is your all life team.
- 35:49Speaker 6: He's been Tennessee for what two years?
- 35:51Speaker 3: No, three and a half, three and a half.
- 35:55Speaker 9: And I realized it on the same weekend that I
- 35:58Speaker 9: proposed because I was hanging out with their family, all
- 35:59Speaker 9: of them in Alabama hats Alabama gear. But they're more
- 36:03Speaker 9: so they're a generation as far as like Bear Bryant
- 36:06Speaker 9: and then Nick Saban and now they're kind.
- 36:07Speaker 1: Of like, oh, lifetime whatever.
- 36:08Speaker 3: Yeah, lifetime generation.
- 36:10Speaker 1: That's oh you fan, that's like three generations of Kalyn's family.
- 36:13Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 36:13Speaker 9: Like I talked to them about Saban and they're like, no,
- 36:15Speaker 9: let's talk about Bear Bryant.
- 36:16Speaker 3: And I'm like, cats, I don't really have anything to
- 36:18Speaker 3: say about that. So as I'm sitting there watching.
- 36:21Speaker 9: All that, and I'm thinking, can I wear like my
- 36:23Speaker 9: balls gear around them? Am I gonna get kicked out
- 36:26Speaker 9: of family events?
- 36:27Speaker 1: Do you want the truth or do you want like
- 36:31Speaker 1: good fun content?
- 36:34Speaker 6: Hmmm? You want truth? Right? Yeah?
- 36:37Speaker 3: You got what we were just talking about it, right?
- 36:38Speaker 3: We want truth?
- 36:39Speaker 1: You need true You want real truth.
- 36:40Speaker 6: You're Caitlin.
- 36:41Speaker 1: You're not a real balls fan. You're you're a moderate.
- 36:45Speaker 1: You're not a casual, because casual would be like somebody
- 36:47Speaker 1: lives in Tennessee who's like every once in a while
- 36:50Speaker 1: checks on a game. You're a false. You like the balls,
- 36:53Speaker 1: you do like the balls. Yeah, you're not a balls fan.
- 36:55Speaker 1: You know you're not a die hard balls fan. Your
- 36:57Speaker 1: whole life, you haven't dedicated it to the balls. You're
- 37:00Speaker 1: a diard Patriots fan. I'm not saying you're not a
- 37:02Speaker 1: diard fan of things, because you absolutely are. Like you
- 37:04Speaker 1: would kill somebody for the Celtics. Yep, you would kill
- 37:06Speaker 1: somebody for the Patriots. Those are your diehards, and I
- 37:10Speaker 1: would say it'd be a different situation if it were
- 37:12Speaker 1: they were dire Jets fans. That's the advice I could
- 37:15Speaker 1: kind of give you. But their rivals, Oklahoma and Arkansas
- 37:18Speaker 1: they played southless conference type but they were never right.
- 37:20Speaker 1: You know, we played, but they've been two conferences, they
- 37:22Speaker 1: haven't been rivals, although the schools are very close to
- 37:24Speaker 1: each other. I would say you can become Abama fan. Nope,
- 37:31Speaker 1: you can.
- 37:32Speaker 3: No, I can't switch again.
- 37:34Speaker 1: You know I have to switch. You can be a
- 37:35Speaker 1: Balls fan, but you can also root for Alabama because
- 37:37Speaker 1: because I root for Oklahoma and not even so much
- 37:39Speaker 1: for my wife anymore more more so from my father
- 37:41Speaker 1: in law, because I don't like to see him sad
- 37:42Speaker 1: because he's the greatest dude ever. And sometimes if it
- 37:46Speaker 1: were just Kaitlyn, I wish Oklahom would lose, just so
- 37:49Speaker 1: should shut up about Arkansas, not even so much about Oklahoma.
- 37:52Speaker 1: But she'd be like, hah, your coaches deaf's like two
- 37:54Speaker 1: kids in a trench coat, like ho tall like this much.
- 37:57Speaker 6: That's such a funny vision. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you understand that, Kevin,
- 38:02Speaker 6: What was that? The coach is like really two kids
- 38:04Speaker 6: in there and a trench coat like shoulders.
- 38:07Speaker 1: Like your coach is just two kids in a trench.
- 38:09Speaker 6: Coat, Like if you pull their coat open, it's just
- 38:11Speaker 6: two kids.
- 38:14Speaker 9: But on the flip side, to your point, I'm die
- 38:16Speaker 9: hard Boston Celtics, Patriots, Red Sox.
- 38:19Speaker 3: They don't have a pro team, right, that's what's awesome.
- 38:22Speaker 1: Yeah, for you, it is not going to be that
- 38:25Speaker 1: weird because you do not hate Tennessee because you're a
- 38:28Speaker 1: diehard balls fan. You cannot like, excuse me, Alabama. Yeah,
- 38:31Speaker 1: if you are a die hard bad or Balls fan, dude,
- 38:33Speaker 1: there's no chain.
- 38:34Speaker 3: It'd be rough.
- 38:35Speaker 1: It'd be rough, and you would just have to have
- 38:36Speaker 1: one of those relationships where we just have different teams
- 38:39Speaker 1: and we were our teams hate each other.
- 38:41Speaker 6: And that's not the same for pro sports, right like.
- 38:44Speaker 1: The like Eagles, Cowboys like that.
- 38:47Speaker 6: I mean, like maybe I.
- 38:48Speaker 1: Would say there's a couple instances where that could be
- 38:49Speaker 1: the case.
- 38:50Speaker 6: Because like my family is Cowboys Texans. That's like the
- 38:53Speaker 6: big split.
- 38:54Speaker 1: Without a rivalry textants haven't been around long and now
- 38:56Speaker 1: direct Yeah, in the NFL and the Eagle diehard Eagles
- 39:00Speaker 1: fan diret Cowboys fan married, they're never going to root
- 39:03Speaker 1: for each other's team, right, No way. But I would
- 39:05Speaker 1: think because you're not vault to the core since you
- 39:09Speaker 1: were five years old, it's not gonna be that difficult
- 39:11Speaker 1: for you. It's actually gonna be kind nice.
- 39:13Speaker 9: But what about like twenty years down the road, when
- 39:14Speaker 9: I'm twenty three and a half years in.
- 39:16Speaker 1: You're going to be more of a Bamba fan because
- 39:18Speaker 1: you're going to go to those games and it's a
- 39:19Speaker 1: good time to be a Bama fan right now. To
- 39:21Speaker 1: take it up because they're not winning everything had you
- 39:24Speaker 1: jumped in and I want to give you some I
- 39:27Speaker 1: give you some advice, not marriage advice, but sports and
- 39:29Speaker 1: marriage advice, because what do I know about marriage? A
- 39:31Speaker 1: device nothing three years in but not compared to my
- 39:36Speaker 1: nineteen exactly like straight marriage advice. I ain't the guy
- 39:40Speaker 1: unless it's like new marriage advice, like in these new
- 39:43Speaker 1: stages like sports marriage advice, learn a bit about the
- 39:49Speaker 1: history because you know what her parents want to talk about,
- 39:51Speaker 1: and like if you want to talk about gene stallings
- 39:53Speaker 1: or you hate Mike Debos or you hate and you
- 39:57Speaker 1: have like an end with those guys old out AVMA coaches, wow, okay, yeah,
- 40:01Speaker 1: and so or like Mike Shula coach Obama for a bit,
- 40:06Speaker 1: like if you just haven't understanding, you're not faking it,
- 40:08Speaker 1: or a fan. I will like read Oklahoma stories just
- 40:12Speaker 1: so I can know what my father in law is
- 40:13Speaker 1: talking about, because I like talking with him, and I
- 40:16Speaker 1: think he even does that for on Arkansas stuff a
- 40:18Speaker 1: little bit and like there's a respect there. Yeah, but
- 40:22Speaker 1: I also really enjoy talking with my father in law.
- 40:24Speaker 1: My my favorite parts were my wife's out gone and
- 40:27Speaker 1: it's just driving some yeah, it's awesome. Maybe because again
- 40:30Speaker 1: I didn't have a dad, so like that is cool
- 40:32Speaker 1: to me. But this is my and you give him
- 40:34Speaker 1: all advice after this. That's nothing to do with sports.
- 40:37Speaker 6: No, this is good stuff.
- 40:38Speaker 1: Because the are such Bama fans. I would encourage you
- 40:43Speaker 1: to study up a little bit on your Alabama current
- 40:48Speaker 1: and history. The saving stuff. Uh, the gene Stallings. Stallings
- 40:54Speaker 1: has got a statue understand kind of what's there? Ask
- 40:56Speaker 1: questions too, like you're because nobody loves anything more to
- 40:59Speaker 1: be like.
- 40:59Speaker 6: So they have a.
- 41:00Speaker 1: Statue in Tuscaloosa of every coach who won a national
- 41:04Speaker 1: championship or from every time and the answer is every
- 41:07Speaker 1: time they won one, they got a different one. So
- 41:08Speaker 1: SABAN has many statues. But it's people love to talk
- 41:13Speaker 1: about themselves and they will love to talk about Alabama
- 41:16Speaker 1: and they will think that you care, and eventually you
- 41:17Speaker 1: will care a little more because you'll see that they're
- 41:19Speaker 1: sad when they lose. But you can make it work
- 41:21Speaker 1: because you're not a lifelong or five year old up
- 41:24Speaker 1: balls fan. You're not a casual. Don't be insulted.
- 41:27Speaker 3: That's okay.
- 41:27Speaker 1: You're a medium. And I think when the balls lose.
- 41:30Speaker 1: That sucks for you because you like the balls.
- 41:31Speaker 3: Yeah, but it doesn't room my daily the other sports
- 41:34Speaker 3: you have room.
- 41:35Speaker 1: And it's the best time to be an Alabama fan
- 41:36Speaker 1: right now if you're new, because they're not winning national
- 41:39Speaker 1: championships and you're not going to be a superposer if
- 41:42Speaker 1: you come in while Saban's won three and he's number.
- 41:45Speaker 9: One Animal Patriots fan in the same era's Yeah, that'd
- 41:49Speaker 9: be the worst.
- 41:49Speaker 1: That's gonna be fun for you though. It's just more
- 41:51Speaker 1: sports though too. Like I went to an Oklahoma game
- 41:53Speaker 1: for the first time this year two oh U Stadium.
- 41:56Speaker 1: It was awesome and I did the Toby Kei thing
- 41:59Speaker 1: and that's the what got me there. But I'm I
- 42:02Speaker 1: would have never gone to normanto a Oklahoma football game. Wow,
- 42:06Speaker 1: I mean not because I was like no, but like,
- 42:08Speaker 1: why crap.
- 42:10Speaker 3: What's the point?
- 42:11Speaker 1: Yeah, what's the Yeah, I don't want to watch Oklahoma
- 42:13Speaker 1: Big twelve.
- 42:13Speaker 6: Who gives a crap?
- 42:14Speaker 1: But now it's that See, it's gonna be fun. So
- 42:16Speaker 1: my advice has learn a little bit about Bama so
- 42:18Speaker 1: and don't expect them to and don't go in being
- 42:20Speaker 1: like I'm mister Vall's guy, because you're not.
- 42:22Speaker 3: No, no, I haven't done that.
- 42:23Speaker 6: Don't worry even like kidding, Yeah, because you moved here
- 42:28Speaker 6: and like that's this is how you became a fALS
- 42:30Speaker 6: fan by moving to Tennessee. You see everyone get excited
- 42:33Speaker 6: about the Valls. You're like, you know what, I really
- 42:35Speaker 6: don't have a college team. Why not? And dude, you're
- 42:37Speaker 6: only three years in. Open your mind up to possibly
- 42:42Speaker 6: joining that family NI Varsity Bama.
- 42:44Speaker 1: I don't think you don't go full Bama yet. Okay,
- 42:46Speaker 1: I'm not going to say the movie quote nobody goes
- 42:49Speaker 1: full Bama.
- 42:50Speaker 3: Oh you never go full Bam.
- 42:52Speaker 1: Never go full Bam. But you can you cannot be
- 42:55Speaker 1: a hater. And you can actually use it as a
- 42:57Speaker 1: bonding I don't want to say, Nieka sounds like I'm
- 43:00Speaker 1: in the CIA. But you can use it to bond
- 43:03Speaker 1: with them, and it's awesome because they love talking about
- 43:05Speaker 1: stuff and sometimes it's hard to like if father in law,
- 43:10Speaker 1: uncle's grandpas are.
- 43:11Speaker 9: Kind of because I wanted to talk saving I think
- 43:13Speaker 9: the first time I met him, and they're like, well,
- 43:15Speaker 9: he's no Bear Bryant.
- 43:16Speaker 1: I'm like, okay, and he's not, but he in other
- 43:20Speaker 1: ways is better. Yeah, but yes, that's all. That's my
- 43:23Speaker 1: only advice and he gives.
- 43:24Speaker 6: Some regular Well I was gonna say about you guys,
- 43:27Speaker 6: like you guys are talking about your kids and but
- 43:29Speaker 6: bones you don't have any kids. But if you do
- 43:30Speaker 6: have kids, like they're gonna be Alabama fans, Are they
- 43:32Speaker 6: gonna be Arkansas fans? Theyre gonna be Oklahoma fans right.
- 43:34Speaker 1: Like you might all be Arkansas fans.
- 43:36Speaker 6: You think that, And that's what I want to tell
- 43:38Speaker 6: both of you guys. I'll kill myself, no, dude, I'm
- 43:40Speaker 6: telling you, like, since I've had all of my kids,
- 43:44Speaker 6: I raised them the right way to be Cowboys fans.
- 43:46Speaker 6: I have like got them every jersey we watch. There's
- 43:50Speaker 6: only one team we watch on Sundays and it's the Cowboys,
- 43:53Speaker 6: and we don't do anything else. If there are practices,
- 43:56Speaker 6: we cancel them with the Cowboys are playing right, all
- 43:58Speaker 6: this stuff, But I'm I'm learning slowly, and especially it
- 44:01Speaker 6: doesn't help that they're not good this year, But I'm
- 44:04Speaker 6: learning slowly that they're going to be fans of whatever
- 44:08Speaker 6: team they want, and and it's going to be hard,
- 44:12Speaker 6: but I already know that, Like two of my kids
- 44:15Speaker 6: that love football they're football fans, may not grow up
- 44:19Speaker 6: to be Cowboys fans. I have two that one will
- 44:22Speaker 6: be Cowboys fans, and I have two that probably won't.
- 44:26Speaker 6: And it hurts me a little bit. But that's just
- 44:28Speaker 6: part of life. So I want to prepare you two
- 44:30Speaker 6: that when you do have kids.
- 44:32Speaker 1: I'm not I've studied cult techniques, manipulation. No, no, there's
- 44:38Speaker 1: no there's no childre they'll have no choice.
- 44:41Speaker 6: But it does, dude, it It really just kills the
- 44:44Speaker 6: situation when your team is not doing well, Like I
- 44:47Speaker 6: know the child that pain.
- 44:49Speaker 1: If there are more options, I didn't have any more options, right,
- 44:52Speaker 1: I gotta let some one on the gate hold on
- 44:53Speaker 1: a minute, let's see, this is GPS.
- 44:56Speaker 3: But they might just go through a phase.
- 44:58Speaker 9: I think I've totally before in this podcast said I
- 45:01Speaker 9: was a Dolphins fan for like two or three years
- 45:03Speaker 9: because I liked the animal when I was like.
- 45:06Speaker 1: Right, But I would say too, where you live and
- 45:10Speaker 1: if that team is around, constant exposure helps, Eddie. Where
- 45:14Speaker 1: your kids will live in Dallas, you don't get taken
- 45:15Speaker 1: on me dllas Cowboy games, right, I don't imagine you
- 45:17Speaker 1: will take them to like three or four games a year,
- 45:19Speaker 1: and it was on the news all the time in Arkansas.
- 45:21Speaker 1: That's all we had. Yeah, that's why. Oh, I'll be
- 45:23Speaker 1: in My kids will be indoctrinated. It's the only team
- 45:29Speaker 1: we will have. Okay, we're done with church. We have
- 45:31Speaker 1: one more to go to and it'll be Okay, here's uh,
- 45:36Speaker 1: Pastor Pittman.
- 45:38Speaker 6: The church.
- 45:40Speaker 1: Well lack like it's normal, but it's like yeah, and
- 45:42Speaker 1: on the thirteenth Day, those who did not root for
- 45:44Speaker 1: the hogs with the hell.
- 45:46Speaker 6: That's funny man. Yeah. So anyway, I just want to
- 45:49Speaker 6: tell you guys that just be ready for that, because
- 45:51Speaker 6: I'm living that right now and it's eye opening because
- 45:55Speaker 6: I never ever thought that I would have kids living
- 45:57Speaker 6: in my house that could possibly not be Dallas Cowboys.
- 46:00Speaker 1: I will be ready for that so much so that
- 46:01Speaker 1: it will not happen. Okay, and she claims the same,
- 46:04Speaker 1: But there's no chance. I will exert way more energy
- 46:09Speaker 1: than I should. It will be my diet. Everything I
- 46:11Speaker 1: do will be how Brian Adams a thing.
- 46:14Speaker 6: Everything I do.
- 46:17Speaker 1: Will be to make sure that when we have kids,
- 46:18Speaker 1: they are freaking razorback fans.
- 46:20Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 46:20Speaker 1: Okay, Uh, good talk, Kevin, good luck, thank you, Good luck.
- 46:25Speaker 1: I hope we were able to confuse you even more

- 47:45Speaker 1: One of the weird things about social media is there
- 47:46Speaker 1: are all these fake accounts now, especially on Twitter, because
- 47:50Speaker 1: you can just and everybody, I guess has to pay
- 47:52Speaker 1: money to be verified. And so getting verified was once
- 47:57Speaker 1: like a status symbol of you are known, and we're
- 48:03Speaker 1: giving you a blue check because we don't want people
- 48:05Speaker 1: acting like they're you and scamming other people, fooling other people. Well,
- 48:10Speaker 1: now you get a blue check mark if you spend
- 48:14Speaker 1: like two bucks a month. So I have a blue
- 48:15Speaker 1: check mark, and I bought it as soon as they
- 48:17Speaker 1: offered it. I don't want to lose it because there
- 48:19Speaker 1: are a lot of Bobby scammers out there, pick a
- 48:22Speaker 1: better person to scam right, just scam ass.
- 48:24Speaker 6: Maybe that's just who they fell on.
- 48:26Speaker 1: Maybe they just know why would he's not that famous?
- 48:29Speaker 1: Maybe this is for sure him. If I bought the
- 48:32Speaker 1: I bought it. It's great. Another thing too, when you
- 48:34Speaker 1: buy it that I want it, I can edit tweets,
- 48:36Speaker 1: which you can't do unless you're on unless you have
- 48:38Speaker 1: Blue check mark, and then there's two factor authentication only
- 48:41Speaker 1: if you have Blue check marketing things. So there are
- 48:43Speaker 1: those factors too, right, And then I have like seven
- 48:45Speaker 1: hundred thousand followers, so that's valuable to me. I've built
- 48:48Speaker 1: up that audience. But the bad thing now is on
- 48:50Speaker 1: the Blue check mark. You can buy a blue check
- 48:51Speaker 1: market and have any account you want and people would
- 48:53Speaker 1: just think it's real. And then you can put out
- 48:55Speaker 1: any story and people will just think it's real. And
- 48:57Speaker 1: some people will put out stuff like I saw one
- 49:00Speaker 1: about Carson Beck before they played Texas and it was
- 49:03Speaker 1: like Carson Beck questionable parentheses, herpies, We'll see and it's
- 49:10Speaker 1: one of those. But they do it every week with
- 49:11Speaker 1: the player and they do something like goofy that they
- 49:13Speaker 1: would really but it's like the opposing team who does
- 49:16Speaker 1: stuff like that, but they have blue check mark and
- 49:18Speaker 1: they have like this college football live account that isn't anything,
- 49:23Speaker 1: but you just believe it because it's a blue check mark.
- 49:26Speaker 1: So one of our friends, and I will keep his
- 49:29Speaker 1: name out of my mouth, arrhymes with revn Rug who
- 49:33Speaker 1: could possibly be like a trainer. He played college football. Yeah,
- 49:37Speaker 1: his brother played pro football for the Titans. And so
- 49:40Speaker 1: we're working out. I get who even knows who he is.
- 49:42Speaker 1: I'm just being really vague and random about who the
- 49:44Speaker 1: guys that told us this. He goes, you have a
- 49:45Speaker 1: homes out for the year. Eddie and I are shot.
- 49:49Speaker 1: We're floored.
- 49:49Speaker 6: But what jaws dropped.
- 49:51Speaker 1: It's like they told us somebody died. Not that we're
- 49:54Speaker 1: the biggest Chiefs fans because we're not Chiefs fans, or
- 49:56Speaker 1: that we're die hard Mahomies.
- 49:58Speaker 6: No, but that just changes the everything.
- 50:00Speaker 1: Yeah, it changes, not even sad, but that that is mass.
- 50:05Speaker 1: That would be massive. And so immediately it's okay, Carson
- 50:09Speaker 1: Wentz is gonna start. Okay, is Carson Wentz any good? Now?
- 50:12Speaker 1: Has he gone to the rehabilitation program? This whole conversation out,
- 50:16Speaker 1: Remember Nick Foles went to the Super Bowl when Carson
- 50:18Speaker 1: Wentz was out, so all this stuff were We spend
- 50:21Speaker 1: thirty minutes during our workout talking about Carson Wentz. Pat
- 50:25Speaker 1: Mahomes I remember asking his high ankle sprain was so
- 50:29Speaker 1: bad they were having surgery, So then it must have
- 50:30Speaker 1: been more than a high ankle sprain because that's not
- 50:33Speaker 1: something that requires surgery, a sprain. If something happens with
- 50:39Speaker 1: that sprain, some ligament damage maybe, and he's like it's great.
- 50:42Speaker 1: So then we're like, okay, it's the first we're doing
- 50:45Speaker 1: a whole afc this Lamar's year, it's gonna be Josh
- 50:50Speaker 1: Allen's year, Like is one of them is gonna have
- 50:52Speaker 1: to beat my homes every year to get there? Like
- 50:55Speaker 1: this could be that. Remember Jordan was retired. That's when
- 50:57Speaker 1: the Lodge one won his when Jordan quit before he
- 50:59Speaker 1: came did we spend almost an hour. Our minds are
- 51:03Speaker 1: blown that Patrick Mahomes is out for the whole year,
- 51:07Speaker 1: and so we didn't even look it up. We just
- 51:11Speaker 1: take his word for it because he was so right.
- 51:13Speaker 6: We did well. The timing was perfect because we had
- 51:15Speaker 6: such a busy day that none of us, Bobby or
- 51:19Speaker 6: I had looked at any kind of social media at all,
- 51:21Speaker 6: so we took his word for it.
- 51:22Speaker 1: I left here because we had been working worked until
- 51:25Speaker 1: like one left here immediately not that time. I didn't
- 51:29Speaker 1: have to look at Twitter. Went home to the podcast studio,
- 51:33Speaker 1: did an hour there, no, almost two hours. The two
- 51:35Speaker 1: hours there, didn't have time to eat lunch. It was
- 51:37Speaker 1: so quick. I grabbed a piece of bread when I
- 51:39Speaker 1: got home and walked down to the podcast studio where
- 51:41Speaker 1: Kevin was with bread and a half eaten banana that like,
- 51:44Speaker 1: I guess my wife, it's all I had time to eat.
- 51:46Speaker 1: So it was that kind of quick day that it was.
- 51:49Speaker 1: We're getting stuff in so from there, I'm in my
- 51:51Speaker 1: clothes that I'm doing the show, and then I quickly
- 51:53Speaker 1: changed and I've seen nothing, So of course, perfect timing
- 51:56Speaker 1: for me to believe anything, because I hadn't looked at
- 51:58Speaker 1: social media. Eddie had a slam day. We're working out.
- 52:01Speaker 1: We spend an hour going through all the man Well
- 52:05Speaker 1: they still I remember laying out the scenario of well
- 52:08Speaker 1: they'd be buffalo head to head. They're a game up,
- 52:10Speaker 1: but they also be buffalo head to head. So if
- 52:11Speaker 1: they're tied Cancity still gets to buy laying all this.
- 52:15Speaker 6: Out, can they still lose one and be okay, Yeah.
- 52:19Speaker 1: All this to come back around and say he saw
- 52:22Speaker 1: one of those blue check mark accounts. That's fake, that's
- 52:25Speaker 1: like doing parody accounts. Patrick Mahomes out for the year
- 52:29Speaker 1: because of an ankle spring. So we get to dinner.
- 52:33Speaker 1: It's our buddy's birthday. So we go to dinner and
- 52:35Speaker 1: I'm like, I don't knows anything about this, So I
- 52:38Speaker 1: search for it and I look at Eddie. I go,
- 52:40Speaker 1: I don't see anything about Patrick Mahomes being out. That
- 52:42Speaker 1: would be number one on the top everywhere, so it wasn't.
- 52:45Speaker 1: So first one to social media wasn't trending. Then I
- 52:48Speaker 1: went to ESPN just to see it should be the topic,
- 52:51Speaker 1: it should be the biggest, the picture of the video,
- 52:52Speaker 1: the headline, them commenting on it. Yeah, there's nowhere on
- 52:55Speaker 1: there and I'm like, there is no way this is true.
- 52:58Speaker 1: So then we search it can find nothing. I Eddie
- 53:02Speaker 1: and I say text thread with Kevin or Evan whatever
- 53:05Speaker 1: you call him, and I was like, you're you're an idiot.
- 53:09Speaker 1: Patrick Mahomes is not out for the year, like at
- 53:12Speaker 1: some point, but who knows maybe they come out and
- 53:16Speaker 1: says out for the year, but you don't have that
- 53:18Speaker 1: information to him, Like, unless you're Adam Schefter, you don't
- 53:23Speaker 1: have that, and stop being trying to be Adam Schefter
- 53:25Speaker 1: because you ain't him. You got fooled. So I text
- 53:28Speaker 1: this and as of as we record this, Patrick Mahomes
- 53:32Speaker 1: is not out for the year. So I well, I
- 53:36Speaker 1: get home and then I see it pop up from
- 53:40Speaker 1: Adam Schefter and I was just gonna read you some
- 53:42Speaker 1: of this here, and Adam Schefter is like, Patrick Mahomes
- 53:48Speaker 1: not limited a practice, had a full practice, and I'm like, man,
- 53:50Speaker 1: he really bounced back.
- 53:51Speaker 6: From that surgery. Now quick high ankles brain surgery.
- 53:55Speaker 1: My point with all of this is those blue check
- 53:59Speaker 1: mark parody accounts that people think they're real. It was
- 54:02Speaker 1: like when the Onion was first happening, and everyth though
- 54:04Speaker 1: the Onion stories are real. But yeah, this is what
- 54:07Speaker 1: this is the whole thing. I said, you know, Mahomes
- 54:12Speaker 1: isn't out for the year, do you have inside him
- 54:14Speaker 1: vote knowing he doesn't. He didn't respond. He didn't respond
- 54:17Speaker 1: for over an hour. Then I sent him the Schefter
- 54:20Speaker 1: text or Schefter goes chief list to Patrick Mahomes a
- 54:22Speaker 1: full participant today's practice. Hollywood Brown also listed at his
- 54:25Speaker 1: full participate, which is kind of news too. They have
- 54:26Speaker 1: another receiver, Hollywood Brown's been out and so still no response.
- 54:33Speaker 1: And then I write no more clue breaking news please
- 54:36Speaker 1: or and this is his response. I'm telling you I
- 54:41Speaker 1: saw a moan two eyes. I was told some idiot
- 54:44Speaker 1: intern leaked it on the internet in the news outlet
- 54:46Speaker 1: had to take it down. Someone's probably looking for a
- 54:49Speaker 1: new job.
- 54:50Speaker 9: No, okay, and this is coming from schefter or rappitport.
- 54:56Speaker 1: No, you got Cambridge analytic. Good And you know what
- 54:58Speaker 1: if an intern new he the one that's posting that
- 55:01Speaker 1: on the side. Any clue will screw me over sometimes
- 55:05Speaker 1: because I'll do if he's like, all right, do a
- 55:07Speaker 1: set of eight, and I'll do eight and he'll go seven.
- 55:09Speaker 1: I'm like, you're you're wrong. It happens all the time.
- 55:11Speaker 1: And my favorite is when he miscounts because I don't
- 55:15Speaker 1: think he's trying to get me to do extra, because
- 55:16Speaker 1: he just wants me to do extra. He just sometimes
- 55:18Speaker 1: miscounts and he'll be like, no, I'm positive I can
- 55:21Speaker 1: catch him the same day being wrong again. And so
- 55:23Speaker 1: I say back, same eyes as say I did seven,
- 55:25Speaker 1: when I did eight.
- 55:26Speaker 3: Oh man, they kind of personal.
- 55:28Speaker 6: Well, this is you saying group can't be trusted.
- 55:32Speaker 1: I'm saying any of our eyes sometimes what we see
- 55:36Speaker 1: is not exactly what is real. And on Twitter it's
- 55:39Speaker 1: gotten out of control. Anybody can get a blue check
- 55:41Speaker 1: mark and anybody can write that Patrick Mahomes is out
- 55:44Speaker 1: for the year, and if he was, that'd be the
- 55:46Speaker 1: biggest story ever. And in turn did not post that
- 55:49Speaker 1: and then take it down. We got God, we got
- 55:51Speaker 1: got now. For some reason before this arrives on the
- 55:55Speaker 1: feed in a podcast, Patrick Mahomes out for the year
- 55:57Speaker 1: with Kevin. We're sorry, but I have a feeling that's
- 56:01Speaker 1: not going to be the case. Don't trust everything you
- 56:04Speaker 1: see on even as a blue check market. If it's
- 56:06Speaker 1: you have to go to the real even click into
- 56:08Speaker 1: it to see if it's the real one. Yeah, some
- 56:11Speaker 1: businesses have gold gold you can always trust.
- 56:14Speaker 6: Oh, the gold one.
- 56:14Speaker 3: The gold one is like, I haven't seen a gold one.
- 56:16Speaker 1: Well it's the massive businesses like Espno, you have a
- 56:19Speaker 1: real gold one. Government things have gold ones.
- 56:23Speaker 6: Because I'm just glad I didn't. We didn't have like
- 56:25Speaker 6: a basketball practice or something, because I would have talked
- 56:27Speaker 6: to all the dads. Did you hear this? Sure?
- 56:29Speaker 1: If I had any time. That's all I've been talking
- 56:31Speaker 1: about with anyone.
- 56:33Speaker 6: Look like an idiot.
- 56:34Speaker 3: But you didn't bring it up about the birthday.
- 56:35Speaker 1: Well, that's what we brought it up. That's how that's
- 56:37Speaker 1: how we figured it out.
- 56:38Speaker 9: I know you said you looked it up. I didn't
- 56:39Speaker 9: know if you like brought up you guys hear him like,
- 56:41Speaker 9: what are you talking about?
- 56:42Speaker 1: Well, sat down and I was like, oh, I should
- 56:45Speaker 1: look just I haven't seen anything about it. I guess
- 56:47Speaker 1: I wanted to talk about that to see when he
- 56:49Speaker 1: was having surgery and I was like, Eddie, I don't
- 56:51Speaker 1: see it anywhere, and he was like really yeah. And
- 56:54Speaker 1: so then cluag's a liar and it empathetic and he
- 56:59Speaker 1: count and it's a liar.
- 57:02Speaker 6: And a cheater?
- 57:03Speaker 1: Is it cheater and a liar?
- 57:05Speaker 6: And all you are is mean? I think that's all
- 57:07Speaker 6: it is.
- 57:08Speaker 1: There's something else and a liar, Mike, what is it?
- 57:11Speaker 1: And a liar? And or is it to go right to?
- 57:14Speaker 6: All you are is mean?
- 57:16Speaker 1: Loan in life, that's what it is. I know the
- 57:18Speaker 1: mean song. I thought it went straight to the chorus.
- 57:21Speaker 1: That's why I'm trying to go, what's the thing in
- 57:22Speaker 1: the middle? That's clue? Get me now?
- 57:24Speaker 6: What is it all alone? In life?
- 57:25Speaker 1: It's Mike and a liar empathetic and a loon in
- 57:29Speaker 1: life and me I knew there was another one. It's
- 57:32Speaker 1: just a liar pathetic. I'm that you're not that Kevin
- 57:37Speaker 1: Kluge do better.
- 57:39Speaker 3: I like he eventually got his name out there.
- 57:40Speaker 1: Oh yeah, sure, Kevin Cluk do better. Aboud do better?
- 57:45Speaker 1: Before we go? Concertgoers are opting to pee themselves in
- 57:48Speaker 1: diapers rather than go to the restroom. Totally thought about
- 57:52Speaker 1: this because the're enjoying the show.
- 57:54Speaker 6: I've done it in the crowd.
- 57:57Speaker 1: What. Yeah, it's like taking your wing arout and beating
- 57:59Speaker 1: the floor.
- 58:00Speaker 6: Yeah, there were just too many people that no one
- 58:01Speaker 6: even realized. And it had been raining raining, so it
- 58:04Speaker 6: was already muddy, so.
- 58:05Speaker 1: It was outside.
- 58:05Speaker 6: Though.
- 58:06Speaker 1: That doesn't make it more right. First of all, I
- 58:08Speaker 1: like to it does not make it all right. But
- 58:09Speaker 1: I'm thinking you're doing it in an arena.
- 58:10Speaker 6: Well, I saw people doing it in bottles. I'm like,
- 58:12Speaker 6: what do you just like just doing on the ground? Right,
- 58:14Speaker 6: we'd just be.
- 58:15Speaker 1: Afraid that I'd be the one that like an undercover
- 58:18Speaker 1: cops saw And then next thing you know, I'm like
- 58:19Speaker 1: on a registry and my house is flagged. They can't
- 58:22Speaker 1: give away Halloween candy.
- 58:23Speaker 6: But but i'd been drinking.
- 58:25Speaker 1: So did you go to like a corner?
- 58:28Speaker 6: I don't know you no, man, you're jam packed. We're
- 58:30Speaker 6: probably in the middle of where everyone with the sea
- 58:33Speaker 6: of people, and everyone's watching the show. No one's looking
- 58:36Speaker 6: down be right there. So yeah, I told my buddy,
- 58:39Speaker 6: I'm like, damn, k, just pure here. So I did it.
- 58:41Speaker 6: They kind of helped me, help cover me a little bit,
- 58:43Speaker 6: Like one stood in front of me, the one stood
- 58:45Speaker 6: on the other side. So no, I don't think anyone
- 58:47Speaker 6: ever saw.
- 58:48Speaker 1: Wow, I would not have the courage if I feel
- 58:50Speaker 1: like you had a bit of liquid courage.
- 58:52Speaker 6: Oh big time. It was late in the day. We'd
- 58:54Speaker 6: been there all day.
- 58:56Speaker 7: Wow, did you go one hand or two hand? Likes
- 58:59Speaker 7: the concert?
- 59:00Speaker 8: Do you have one hand up?
- 59:00Speaker 1: And yeah, like you you're still party A good point.
- 59:02Speaker 6: That's a good question. And I went handless.
- 59:06Speaker 8: Oh so you just real nonchalant And.
- 59:08Speaker 6: I didn't even look back on your legs, just didn't dude,
- 59:13Speaker 6: just didn't. I mean, you know what, I might have.
- 59:15Speaker 7: I think you were already wet from the rain and
- 59:18Speaker 7: you just didn't even.
- 59:20Speaker 6: But I do remember thinking back to how you started this,
- 59:23Speaker 6: I thought like we should have brought diapers.
- 59:25Speaker 1: I'd rather pee like you did and hope not to
- 59:27Speaker 1: get caught and wear a diaper with Peter poop in
- 59:29Speaker 1: it and just keep it in there. Yeah, because that that,
- 59:31Speaker 1: to me is the weird diaper thing. You pee, then
- 59:34Speaker 1: you still got to take the diaper off and you're
- 59:36Speaker 1: gonna wait till after the concert. Otherwise you just leave
- 59:38Speaker 1: in pee when you were gonna liquid death, which is
- 59:41Speaker 1: the water Company has collaborated with depend brand known for
- 59:45Speaker 1: incontinents underwear diapers basically to produce Pitt diaper and they
- 59:50Speaker 1: created it's an adult diaper, but not as fluffed, not
- 59:53Speaker 1: as puffy, so you can't tell you're really wearing it.
- 59:56Speaker 6: Yeah, because it's tough, man, when you go to a
- 59:58Speaker 6: big festival and they got Porto is on the other
- 1:00:01Speaker 6: side of where you're at, trying to get through all
- 1:00:03Speaker 6: those people to go to the bathroom and then come
- 1:00:05Speaker 6: back and people look at you like you're cutting what
- 1:00:07Speaker 6: are you doing don't it's a pain.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: So I don't relate to that. So maybe because you're
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: drinking so much it becomes a little more difficult, correct
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: because I would go, just use the bathroom before the show.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: It'd be like when you tell your kids on a
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: road trip, you just we're going, we're stop at the
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: gas station, pee and then they pee, and then hopefully
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: they don't go, I got a peep, but then they
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: do they do.
- 1:00:28Speaker 6: Have you heard about the seal? Like, because you don't
- 1:00:31Speaker 6: drink the animals, I think anyone that's drink drink alcohol
- 1:00:36Speaker 6: before and knows about the seal.
- 1:00:37Speaker 8: Yeah, dollan, you ever busts a seal?
- 1:00:39Speaker 7: Man, you bust that seal and if you start it, yeah,
- 1:00:42Speaker 7: and then you're gonna be paying every five minutes.
- 1:00:44Speaker 6: The first one, dude, is like, that's that's the one.
- 1:00:46Speaker 6: You have to hold forever as long as you can,
- 1:00:49Speaker 6: because once you break that seal, you're going every like
- 1:00:51Speaker 6: read said, every five minutes.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: I feel like that's toxic to your body. The seal
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: feels like the dumbest thing I've ever heard, but.
- 1:00:56Speaker 6: One dumb talent. It's a weird thing that once you
- 1:00:58Speaker 6: go that first time, every five minutes, you're gonna have
- 1:01:01Speaker 6: to go.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: Okay, is this is this science based in science or
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: just like concert lure?
- 1:01:06Speaker 6: Just life okay, just life experience drinking okay.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: And it's for sure drinking thing or just it it's
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: a drinking trip thing.
- 1:01:14Speaker 8: Like if you even if you just chug water, I mean,
- 1:01:16Speaker 8: it's the same thing.
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: Don't driving for me.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: Because once you break the seal, it's NonStop.
- 1:01:21Speaker 6: Correct and if you're not, like if you're just driving
- 1:01:23Speaker 6: and you're you haven't had a drop of alcohol, that
- 1:01:26Speaker 6: it's not the same. Like the seal does not exist
- 1:01:28Speaker 6: unless you are drinking.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: Well read you said water is part of the seal.
- 1:01:32Speaker 7: No for me, like driving, like unless I'm about to
- 1:01:35Speaker 7: pee my pants, I will not pee while I'm on
- 1:01:37Speaker 7: the road, like I won't. I won't pee if I
- 1:01:39Speaker 7: stop because I know if I pee the in I'm
- 1:01:41Speaker 7: just gonna.
- 1:01:41Speaker 8: Have to stop in another hour.
- 1:01:42Speaker 6: Oh that's weird.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: So to you, it's not about stopping and losing time.
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: It's a seal thing. If you do it now, you'll
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: continue to have to stop. You break the seal.
- 1:01:49Speaker 6: Interesting, I don't think you've experienced I don't think you've
- 1:01:53Speaker 6: experimented with that enough because.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: You don't don't no name, don't start experimenting with this.
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: You've got to rip a bladder. You think your back's
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: bad bladder.
- 1:02:00Speaker 6: No, But Reid's worried that if he breaks the seal
- 1:02:02Speaker 6: like he has when he was drinking, he's going to
- 1:02:05Speaker 6: go again. But it doesn't work like that when you're
- 1:02:07Speaker 6: not drinking.
- 1:02:07Speaker 8: That's true, I try it.
- 1:02:09Speaker 6: He's scared because of his experience is drinking.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: He's being a bad influence.
- 1:02:13Speaker 6: Team.
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: I just want to I just want to try to
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: be a good influence here. He'd been a bad influence
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: but I don't know enough about it. Thank you guys
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: for being here with this is extra episode we did
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: look it was. It completely based in UH sports stories
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: with great and No, but we wanted to do a
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: fun episode because most of the time people aren't putting
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: up podcasts. We want to do a podcast. I hate
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: these two weeks because hardly any of my podcasts are
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: actually doing work.
- 1:02:35Speaker 6: Yeah, they're all enjoying themselves.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: Yeah, some of my favorite sports ones do because the
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: games are happening. But it's like I get into my habits,
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: what I like on what days, and I'm and then
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: they're not there, so we wanted to at least be
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: up here and provide you guys a little something. So
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: thank you guys. Eddie, blow the whistle, go.
- 1:02:51Speaker 6: Break that seal.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: Oh my god, just Pema pants you broke the seal.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: Oh no, all right, that's it.
- 1:02:56Speaker 6: Thank you.
