- 0:03Speaker 1: Line sharing.
- 0:07Speaker 2: First tonight.
- 0:07Speaker 3: Today mark's the end of the fake presidency. The cover
- 0:11Speaker 3: up of Joe Biden's health will go down as the
- 0:14Speaker 3: Democrats and left wing media's greatest ever hoax. For years,
- 0:19Speaker 3: the president was described as fine, sharp, strong, mentally fit
- 0:24Speaker 3: even and now the eleventh.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Hour suddenly not so much.
- 0:29Speaker 3: Let's be clear, the Democrats didn't portion eighty one year
- 0:33Speaker 3: old mentally incompetent man out because.
- 0:36Speaker 2: He is sick.
- 0:37Speaker 3: They pushed him out because on June twenty seven this year,
- 0:41Speaker 3: their big fat four year cover up was exposed to
- 0:45Speaker 3: the world.
- 0:47Speaker 4: We have one thousand trillionaires in America, I mean billionaires
- 0:50Speaker 4: in America. They'd raised five hundred million dollars billion dollars
- 0:54Speaker 4: I should say, every single solitary person eligible for what
- 1:00Speaker 4: will do with the with the COVID, with the total
- 1:06Speaker 4: initiative relative to what we're going to do with more
- 1:09Speaker 4: border patrol.
- 1:10Speaker 5: President Trump, I really don't know what he said at
- 1:12Speaker 5: the end of those sent I don't think he knows
- 1:14Speaker 5: what he said either.
- 1:16Speaker 3: What a blight on his presidency that Americans have for
- 1:19Speaker 3: so long been gas lit and treated with contempt by
- 1:23Speaker 3: Biden and those in his inner circle who allowed this
- 1:27Speaker 3: man to be the gaff machine of the free world.
- 1:31Speaker 3: And how did Joe Biden make his grand exit announcement
- 1:34Speaker 3: with a letter saying, while it has been my intention.
- 1:37Speaker 2: To seek reelection, I believe it is in the best.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Interest of my party and the country for me to
- 1:43Speaker 3: stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties
- 1:47Speaker 3: as president for the remainder of my term, not even
- 1:50Speaker 3: a formal televised address. Why exactly, then, is it in
- 1:55Speaker 3: the country's best interest? Is it because you lied about
- 1:58Speaker 3: the state of your health. Is it because you're in
- 2:00Speaker 3: a circle light about the state of your health, or
- 2:03Speaker 3: is it because you were exposed and your colleagues led
- 2:06Speaker 3: a crue to force you out when Donus stopped coughing up.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Joe Biden was selfish to stay this long. And while
- 2:15Speaker 3: he thinks he can now just walk away and the
- 2:17Speaker 3: party can just turn the page, the left and the
- 2:21Speaker 3: Democrats must be held accountable for lying so long about
- 2:25Speaker 3: a wilted president. Starting with the liberal media. Remember when
- 2:30Speaker 3: they told us how fit and healthy Biden was.
- 2:34Speaker 5: President Biden, who I've been around numerous times just in
- 2:37Speaker 5: this last year, is sharp, he's focused, he's bright.
- 2:40Speaker 1: He is sharp, intensely probing and detail oriented and focused.
- 2:46Speaker 6: This is a man who is sharp, who is on
- 2:48Speaker 6: top of his game, who knows what's going on. He's smart, He's.
- 2:51Speaker 7: On his game.
- 2:52Speaker 8: I was in almost every meeting with the president, and
- 2:56Speaker 8: the President was in front of and on top of
- 2:59Speaker 8: it all.
- 3:02Speaker 3: They actually insisted this guy was in great shape.
- 3:06Speaker 4: I uh, anyway, and I don't want to.
- 3:16Speaker 5: I don't want to, I mean, choose my words. I
- 3:21Speaker 5: was just thinking, uh, anyway, I just look, I mean
- 3:34Speaker 5: Putin's kleptocer. Yeah, it was in February, February, January, after
- 3:43Speaker 5: I reading elected from late januarly early February.
- 3:51Speaker 3: I mean he was mumbling, fumbling, falling over, speaking to
- 3:55Speaker 3: dead people, had no idea who he was or where
- 3:58Speaker 3: he was, wondering off into the abyss and freezing and
- 4:01Speaker 3: what did the lefty media say that Biden was a
- 4:05Speaker 3: victim of agism. Time magazine described it as the weaponization
- 4:10Speaker 3: of Biden's age. The New York Times had the panic
- 4:14Speaker 3: over Joe Biden's ages manufactured. Had to use Joe Biden's
- 4:19Speaker 3: age as an insult is simply agism in disguise.
- 4:23Speaker 2: To them, it was all fake news.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Secondly, the Democrats, including Kamala Harris.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Also need to be held to account for the cover up.
- 4:34Speaker 8: We have a very bold and vibrant president in Joe Biden,
- 4:39Speaker 8: and in Joe Biden, we have a president who is
- 4:43Speaker 8: probably one of the boldest and strongest American presidents we
- 4:50Speaker 8: have had in his response to the needs of the
- 4:55Speaker 8: American people. But he is an extraordinary leader. And I
- 4:59Speaker 8: wish that people I could see what I see because
- 5:02Speaker 8: there's only one person who says behind that resolute death.
- 5:06Speaker 3: And even after this moment at a fundraiser only a
- 5:10Speaker 3: few weeks ago, when Joe Biden froze and had to
- 5:13Speaker 3: be helped off stage by Barack Obama, the White House said, no, no,
- 5:18Speaker 3: nothing to see here.
- 5:21Speaker 9: Instead of talking about the president's performance in office, and
- 5:24Speaker 9: what I mean by that is as legislative went, what
- 5:27Speaker 9: he's been able to do for the American people across
- 5:29Speaker 9: the country, we're seeing these deep figs, these manipulated videos,
- 5:35Speaker 9: and on.
- 5:36Speaker 2: His performance at the presidential debate.
- 5:40Speaker 9: It's the jet lag and also the.
- 5:42Speaker 3: Called They seriously thought they could keep up the facade.
- 5:48Speaker 2: They lied.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Thirdly, Jill Biden aka Doctor Jill, must be held to account.
- 5:54Speaker 3: She's acted like the ultimate stage mom, orchestrating and overseeing
- 5:57Speaker 3: her husband's every move, pushing him to keep going and
- 6:00Speaker 3: staying the race even though the man could barely stand up.
- 6:05Speaker 10: Yoh, you did such a great job. He answered every question.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Yeah, well done, Joe.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Doctor Jill exposed herself as a fraud when, in the
- 6:15Speaker 3: middle of all this chaos she posed on the front
- 6:18Speaker 3: cover a Vogue magazine. It became increasingly obvious after the
- 6:23Speaker 3: debate that there was only one agenda, and that was
- 6:26Speaker 3: doctor Jills. And fourth, the Democrats who led a coup
- 6:30Speaker 3: against a sitting president must also be held to account
- 6:34Speaker 3: by staging a mutiny forcing Biden to pull out at
- 6:38Speaker 3: the eleventh hour. Biden and his allies have denied voters
- 6:41Speaker 3: across America an opportunity to elect a nominee in the primaries.
- 6:46Speaker 2: That is not a fair electoral process. When the party
- 6:50Speaker 2: is told.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Who the nominee will be, Rather, Democratic elites will decide
- 6:56Speaker 3: in one final nail in the coffin to the American people,
- 6:59Speaker 3: Joe endorse someone just as inept as him, Karmala Harris.
- 7:05Speaker 3: No Democrat primary voter has ever actually voted for Kamala Harris.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Her twenty twenty campaign for nomination lasted five minutes. Yet
- 7:15Speaker 3: America could be about to be burdened by what might be.
- 7:20Speaker 8: I can imagine what can be and be unburdened by
- 7:23Speaker 8: what has been. You know, what can be unburdened by
- 7:28Speaker 8: what has been? What can be unburdened by what has been?
- 7:33Speaker 8: What can be unburdened by.
- 7:36Speaker 11: What has been?
- 7:38Speaker 3: Well, the burden is now on America and the free world.
- 7:41Speaker 3: It is astonishing that the Democrats are still arguing that
- 7:45Speaker 3: Donald Trump is the big bad threat to democracy when
- 7:49Speaker 3: what the party has done here is the real threat
- 7:52Speaker 3: to democracy. Joe Biden's health is the great American cover up.
- 7:57Speaker 3: This will go down as the Democrats and the left
- 8:00Speaker 3: wing media's greatest ever hoax, and voters are poorer for it.
- 8:09Speaker 3: Coming up, we'll have all the latest from the US
- 8:11Speaker 3: throughout the night, plus lots of local reaction to this
- 8:15Speaker 3: historic news. Also tonight, Peter Dutton is catching up to
- 8:18Speaker 3: Anthony Albanezi in the polls, but can he win the
- 8:22Speaker 3: next election?
- 8:23Speaker 2: A political analyst will join me to discuss, but first
- 8:27Speaker 2: let's go straight to the US.
- 8:29Speaker 3: Brianna Lyman is the election's correspondent for the Federalist and
- 8:32Speaker 3: she joins me. Now, Brianna, thank you for joining us. First,
- 8:37Speaker 3: the Democrats and left wing media told us Biden is
- 8:40Speaker 3: mentally fit, he's sharp, he's strong. Then they turned against him,
- 8:45Speaker 3: wanted him out, and now he's gone. Of course, what
- 8:48Speaker 3: does he say about those who covered up his mental
- 8:51Speaker 3: incompetence for so long?
- 8:54Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 8:54Speaker 10: Well, in America, left wing media, this is part of
- 8:57Speaker 10: their job. It's to run defense for the White House.
- 8:59Speaker 10: And unfortunately, what we winnessed today with Biden's announcement is
- 9:02Speaker 10: the culmination of a successful coup effort because Democrats realized
- 9:07Speaker 10: that Biden's anility had become a political liability. And like
- 9:10Speaker 10: you mentioned, you know this wasn't an overnight development. You
- 9:13Speaker 10: go back to last ball. You had Dean Phillips, who
- 9:15Speaker 10: challenged Biden for the nomination, warning Democratic leadership that Biden
- 9:20Speaker 10: wasn't fit, and they told him go kick rocks. We
- 9:22Speaker 10: don't want to hear it. Democrats ran a rigged primary
- 9:24Speaker 10: in a state like Florida. They just awarded Biden the votes,
- 9:27Speaker 10: didn't even let Dean Phillips have a real chance. Robert
- 9:29Speaker 10: Hurr's report came out and Democrats were willing Marrick Garland
- 9:33Speaker 10: to go to gel instead of releasing those tapes. Joe
- 9:37Speaker 10: Biden gets walked off stage by Barack Obama and they
- 9:39Speaker 10: told us it was a cheap fake, right, And so
- 9:41Speaker 10: for the first time on the debate stage, Joe Biden
- 9:43Speaker 10: gave the public ninety minutes of unfettered access to himself
- 9:47Speaker 10: and there was no way to cover that up.
- 9:50Speaker 3: Yeah, he was absolutely exposed to the world at that moment.
- 9:54Speaker 2: I find it interesting.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tweeted, President Joe Biden is
- 9:59Speaker 3: a patriotic American who has always put our country first.
- 10:03Speaker 3: He's legacy of vision, values, and leadership make him one
- 10:06Speaker 3: of the most consequential presidents in American history. Brianna, I
- 10:10Speaker 3: find this extraordinary. She was part of that curve you
- 10:13Speaker 3: mentioned to bring him down.
- 10:16Speaker 10: Yeah, Biden did not put the country above himself or
- 10:20Speaker 10: his party because Biden was reluctant to step down, and
- 10:22Speaker 10: I don't believe he did this willingly. Look, Biden has
- 10:25Speaker 10: been in office for fifty years. This is a man
- 10:27Speaker 10: who has very deep connections and deep friendships with a
- 10:30Speaker 10: lot of the leadership and individuals who have called on
- 10:33Speaker 10: him publicly and privately to step down. You would think
- 10:36Speaker 10: that they would want to give him this you know,
- 10:38Speaker 10: dignified transfer right allowed Joe Biden to step down, had
- 10:42Speaker 10: these talks in private, but when the private talks clearly
- 10:44Speaker 10: didn't work, Democrats had to resort to publicly embarrassing him
- 10:48Speaker 10: essentially and calling it and creating this mounting pressure campaign
- 10:52Speaker 10: to say that there is division in the Democratic Party
- 10:55Speaker 10: and Joe Biden's the reason. But if he steps down,
- 10:57Speaker 10: things will be honky dory, and Nancy Pelosi said is
- 11:00Speaker 10: indicative of that. Right. Once Joe Biden did what his
- 11:03Speaker 10: party and what the Democratic oligarchic machine decided, then things
- 11:07Speaker 10: are okay.
- 11:08Speaker 3: Now, yeah, your spot on how redundant now is the
- 11:12Speaker 3: primaries process because the Dems will now pick the candidate,
- 11:16Speaker 3: not voters.
- 11:19Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 11:19Speaker 10: You know what's really interesting about it is that they
- 11:21Speaker 10: have been, you know, breathlessly saying for four years that
- 11:24Speaker 10: Donald Trump can't win because he's a threat to our democracy.
- 11:27Speaker 10: Mind you, we live in a constitutional republic, We're not
- 11:29Speaker 10: a democracy. But that's what they've been saying. And now
- 11:32Speaker 10: that same party is looking at fourteen million voters and saying, look,
- 11:36Speaker 10: you can elect whoever you want during the primary process,
- 11:39Speaker 10: but DC oligarchs, a handful of DC elites, we will
- 11:42Speaker 10: select who's the actual candidate. And so for a party
- 11:46Speaker 10: that prides themselves on being, you know, savers of democracy,
- 11:49Speaker 10: they certainly don't actually care about democracy if it threatens
- 11:52Speaker 10: their electoral prospects.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Brianna, if Kamala Harris is indeed endorsed by the party,
- 11:59Speaker 3: what will she I mean to quote her, is America
- 12:02Speaker 3: about to be unburdened by what has been.
- 12:06Speaker 10: So Kamala Harris, like, this is a woman who was
- 12:09Speaker 10: chosen because she was a black woman. That's what Joe
- 12:12Speaker 10: Biden said he would do. He said, I'm going to
- 12:13Speaker 10: pick a black woman. Kamala Harris was that person. Mind you,
- 12:17Speaker 10: she dropped out of the Democratic primary race. I think
- 12:19Speaker 10: she was actually the first candidate because she had less
- 12:21Speaker 10: than five percent of the support. And we know that
- 12:24Speaker 10: she's not the best candidate now because Barack Obama he
- 12:28Speaker 10: endorsed an open primary today, So even if he doesn't
- 12:30Speaker 10: believe that Kamala Harris would be the best choice. And
- 12:32Speaker 10: I think something that'll be difficult for Democrats to kind
- 12:35Speaker 10: of overcome. It's going to be how will they answer
- 12:38Speaker 10: for the border crisis. She was tasked as the borders
- 12:40Speaker 10: are she was supposed to handle the crisis, and that
- 12:42Speaker 10: crisis has balloon and it is a top three issue
- 12:45Speaker 10: for every American voter, specifically independent, So that'll be a
- 12:48Speaker 10: big hurdle for them.
- 12:50Speaker 3: Yeah, she totally failed on that front, Brianna. If the
- 12:54Speaker 3: president cannot run again, why is he sticking around until November?
- 12:58Speaker 2: Do you think he shouldn't?
- 13:01Speaker 10: I have no idea why he's sticking around, but he
- 13:03Speaker 10: shouldn't stick around. And if Democrats want to play the
- 13:05Speaker 10: whole putting you know, country above party, they either have
- 13:09Speaker 10: to convince Biden to resign the post of presidency or
- 13:12Speaker 10: they must invoke the twenty fifth Amendment. Because if Biden
- 13:15Speaker 10: is too senile to cognitively impair, too physically impaired to
- 13:19Speaker 10: be the nominee so much so that he actually threatens
- 13:22Speaker 10: their electoral prospects that bad, then he's clearly not fit
- 13:25Speaker 10: to you know, have his finger on the nuclear button
- 13:27Speaker 10: for the next six months. And so if Democrats want
- 13:30Speaker 10: to really prove that they care about their country and
- 13:32Speaker 10: not their party, they will now call for Biden to
- 13:34Speaker 10: step down as president.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Now, look, I have to show you this vision of
- 13:39Speaker 3: CNN host Van Jains, who actually cried at the announcement
- 13:43Speaker 3: by Biden.
- 13:44Speaker 13: Here it is, I just know that I love this man.
- 13:47Speaker 13: I care about this man. It was painful every day
- 13:50Speaker 13: to sit up here and talk about him like he's
- 13:51Speaker 13: just a you know, some problem for the party. Way
- 13:54Speaker 13: till we get to the convention, You're going to see
- 13:56Speaker 13: people crying, standing, screaming, and he may not get a
- 14:00Speaker 13: chance to talk for ten minutes. We finally get a
- 14:02Speaker 13: chance to put an arm around this guy.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Brianna, it's a bit dramatic.
- 14:05Speaker 10: Don't you think that's an understatement. Look, people want to
- 14:09Speaker 10: talk about Trump derangement syndrome, and I think this is
- 14:12Speaker 10: a very good encapsulation of that. Joe Biden, Thankfully he's
- 14:15Speaker 10: not dead. He didn't die today. He just said I'm
- 14:17Speaker 10: not going to run for reelection. So to be brought
- 14:19Speaker 10: to tears is absolutely in I can't understand why someone
- 14:25Speaker 10: would be brought to tears to this point. And Van
- 14:27Speaker 10: Jones is someone who's also kind of echoed similar sentiments
- 14:30Speaker 10: as Democrats that Biden may not be the best person
- 14:33Speaker 10: to run, and Biden may have been a good candidate
- 14:35Speaker 10: for Democrats twenty years ago. But Biden is not that
- 14:38Speaker 10: same person, and Van Jones should not pretend to play
- 14:40Speaker 10: it off any other way.
- 14:42Speaker 3: Well, it certainly caps off a fascinating month in US politics.
- 14:47Speaker 3: Brianna Lyman, good to speak with you.
- 14:48Speaker 10: Thank you, thanks for having me.
- 14:52Speaker 3: For today's top stories and more. Let's bring it in
- 14:55Speaker 3: my panel, Sky News host Liz Stora and Skin News
- 14:58Speaker 3: contributor Joe who would have Brad.
- 14:59Speaker 14: Hide both happened today? Anything else just got off.
- 15:07Speaker 6: Been a pretty quiet one.
- 15:11Speaker 3: Let's start with Joe Biden's pick for the top job
- 15:14Speaker 3: at Kamala Harris and imagine four years of this. Oh
- 15:37Speaker 3: look there's more.
- 15:39Speaker 10: I am Kamela Harris. My pounds are she and her?
- 15:43Speaker 3: Oh we could have an exciting four years if this
- 15:46Speaker 3: all goes to play. And Joe, how do you see
- 15:48Speaker 3: this playing out now with the Democrats?
- 15:50Speaker 14: It's really interesting the after Kamala is endorsed by Joe Biden.
- 15:54Speaker 14: Joe Biden, the stadt.
- 15:55Speaker 2: Wasn't Joe Biden. We don't I've seen the guy.
- 16:00Speaker 14: Kamala Harris was endorsed by artificial intelligence. No, it's interesting
- 16:05Speaker 14: their polls tightened a bit, But Trump's on the aggregate,
- 16:09Speaker 14: Trump actually went up. So Trump actually, like Marvelle, thought,
- 16:13Speaker 14: oh I'm going to Trump now. So Karmla obviously picked
- 16:15Speaker 14: up people who weren't going to come out and vote
- 16:18Speaker 14: for Joe Biden a tiny percent.
- 16:19Speaker 11: I mean, I mean, Trump is still ahead.
- 16:22Speaker 14: But it actually sort of solidified a couple of people,
- 16:25Speaker 14: drove a couple of people towards Donald Trump. And I
- 16:28Speaker 14: think that's because Kamla Harris represents everything that Donald Trump
- 16:33Speaker 14: and the people who vote for Donald Trump are starting
- 16:36Speaker 14: to be sort of repulsed by in the modern left,
- 16:38Speaker 14: in the Democratic Party, that is sort of West Coast
- 16:41Speaker 14: and East Coast elites, identity politics dominating economic need and
- 16:46Speaker 14: economic concerns, and Kamala Harris is just the perfect embodiment
- 16:50Speaker 14: of that, and a somewhat nauseating sort of little cartoon
- 16:53Speaker 14: videos about equity versus equality and this sort of weird,
- 16:57Speaker 14: sort of quasi neo Marxist stuff.
- 16:59Speaker 11: The id pot is obviously there.
- 17:00Speaker 14: I mean, the Democrats don't need black voters, they don't
- 17:04Speaker 14: need women voters. So in terms of a sort of
- 17:06Speaker 14: symbolic kind of you know, ra rah that demographic. Only
- 17:11Speaker 14: forty percent of women voting for Donald Trump anyway, So
- 17:14Speaker 14: they've already got sixty percent of women, So what do
- 17:18Speaker 14: they achieve by this? If they had have got someone
- 17:20Speaker 14: ironically like JD. Vance, they might have eaten into Trump's vote.
- 17:25Speaker 14: But I just don't see. If you're voting for Donald Trump,
- 17:27Speaker 14: you are going to wade through boiling hot lava to
- 17:30Speaker 14: vote for you want to keep going, that's right, And
- 17:32Speaker 14: they're going to vote for him and again, and then
- 17:34Speaker 14: you've got rfks splitting the vote that.
- 17:36Speaker 3: Way, which will be interesting to say, Liz, do you
- 17:39Speaker 3: agree that if you're going to vote for Trump, you're
- 17:41Speaker 3: certainly not going to vote for Kamala Harris?
- 17:43Speaker 2: No, of course not.
- 17:44Speaker 6: But the thing is she is very unpopular with their
- 17:46Speaker 6: own party. Let's not forget in the twenty twenty primaries,
- 17:49Speaker 6: this woman got less than two percent of the vote,
- 17:52Speaker 6: forcing her to drop out before a single vote was cast.
- 17:55Speaker 6: So she is not someone that the Democratic lay Party
- 17:59Speaker 6: look up to repet one as a leader. So as
- 18:02Speaker 6: much as she's got quite a few big names now
- 18:04Speaker 6: falling in line saying we back her, it's a really
- 18:07Speaker 6: big question mark to see what's actually going to happen?
- 18:11Speaker 2: Is it?
- 18:11Speaker 6: Because the Democratic Party is also given up and just gone, Look,
- 18:15Speaker 6: at this point, no one can beat no one can
- 18:17Speaker 6: beat Trump. That's my personal opinion. I'm not saying it's
- 18:21Speaker 6: not doable.
- 18:22Speaker 2: They managed in.
- 18:23Speaker 6: Twenty twenty using very nefarious means. So unless they're going
- 18:26Speaker 6: to rig another election, then how are they going to
- 18:30Speaker 6: pull this off? Their own inside a polling tells them
- 18:32Speaker 6: Kamala Harris cannot beat Trump. So if they genuinely want
- 18:37Speaker 6: to give the twenty twenty four election a red hot go,
- 18:41Speaker 6: they're not going to put her up. If they've resigned
- 18:44Speaker 6: themselves to losing, and guys like Newsome aren't gonna want
- 18:47Speaker 6: to burn their political capital on being oh the guy
- 18:50Speaker 6: who lost the twenty twenty O. Nobody who's a genuinely
- 18:54Speaker 6: politically savvy person who would like to see themselves become
- 18:59Speaker 6: president one day is going to put themselves up.
- 19:01Speaker 2: For the twenty twenty four election.
- 19:02Speaker 6: This is the poison chalice, So it might as well
- 19:05Speaker 6: be Kamala Harris because she's dumb enough to think it's
- 19:08Speaker 6: an honor and take it.
- 19:11Speaker 14: I want to get rid of her, perfect way, how
- 19:15Speaker 14: she saves a bit of the furniture, But that's exactly right.
- 19:17Speaker 14: We're talking about the most powerful position.
- 19:19Speaker 11: On the planet. Absolutely, no one's even going to challenge
- 19:22Speaker 11: her for it.
- 19:22Speaker 2: No acuarly, But I mean the Democrats waited to the
- 19:25Speaker 2: eleventh hour.
- 19:25Speaker 3: They've known for years about his It's ridiculous. Look, let's
- 19:30Speaker 3: move on to other news now. The odds of a
- 19:32Speaker 3: minority government coming into power continue to increase as news
- 19:36Speaker 3: poll shows voters confidence in major parties decline. The Coalition
- 19:39Speaker 3: edges two points ahead of Labor in primary support, while
- 19:43Speaker 3: Labor remains ahead in the two party preferred vote at
- 19:46Speaker 3: a steady fifty one percent, and Albinizi leads Peter Dutton
- 19:50Speaker 3: as the choice for better PM forty six to thirty nine. Joe,
- 19:53Speaker 3: why are both parties failing to resonate overall with voters?
- 19:56Speaker 14: Oh, it's across a living crisis and in bad economic times.
- 19:58Speaker 14: You don't say, gee, we've got a great gun, don't we?
- 20:00Speaker 14: A bit worried about paying the mortgage this month? Not
- 20:02Speaker 14: sure if I'll be able to find a place to
- 20:04Speaker 14: rent and put a roof over me and my family's head.
- 20:06Speaker 11: But gee, the government's doing a great job. So I think.
- 20:10Speaker 14: I think the fact that the opposition has not been
- 20:13Speaker 14: able to get more traction out of this I think
- 20:16Speaker 14: does not bode particularly well. It looks like some of
- 20:18Speaker 14: the negativity. I think Labor is right and the government's
- 20:20Speaker 14: been right say no more silly, stupid memes about nuclear energy.
- 20:24Speaker 14: But I think that clearly Dutton has not quite been
- 20:28Speaker 14: able to capitalize on people's discontent. But that doesn't mean
- 20:31Speaker 14: the discontent isn't there. Clearly, when people are struggling, they're
- 20:34Speaker 14: not going to be throwing bouquets at the government, and
- 20:36Speaker 14: that's what's happening here. I actually reckon all things considered,
- 20:39Speaker 14: it's not a bad result, but what happened.
- 20:41Speaker 6: To never waste a crisis, like seriously, this should be
- 20:44Speaker 6: the time that it's easiest to shine brightest, to come
- 20:47Speaker 6: out to people and say, look, this.
- 20:49Speaker 2: Is the mess we're in.
- 20:51Speaker 6: We're done throwing mud at each other saying why it's happened.
- 20:55Speaker 6: This is the mess that we're in.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Here's the vision.
- 20:57Speaker 6: Here's what I'm doing to get you guys out of it.
- 21:00Speaker 6: Here's what I'm doing to steady the ship while we're
- 21:02Speaker 6: getting through it. Here's how we're getting to the other side.
- 21:05Speaker 6: Right now, there is such a dearth of leadership in
- 21:08Speaker 6: this country like neither Dutton nor Albanese really inspires people
- 21:13Speaker 6: with like we have a leader at the helm and
- 21:16Speaker 6: thank god nobody nobody is getting that vibe from either
- 21:20Speaker 6: of these guys. Now there are potential leaders within the
- 21:23Speaker 6: two major parties, but right now is not their time.
- 21:26Speaker 6: And I think people look at these two leaders and
- 21:29Speaker 6: just go, honestly, much for much, I don't really care.
- 21:33Speaker 6: And I think the fact that the parties are so well,
- 21:36Speaker 6: pretty much even steven at the moment is indicative of
- 21:39Speaker 6: the fact voters are alive to the fact that no
- 21:42Speaker 6: matter which party they vote for, they keep getting the
- 21:45Speaker 6: same outcome.
- 21:47Speaker 7: And it's been like that last few polls Wow exactly
- 21:50Speaker 7: because they're just like Red team or Blue team, whichever
- 21:53Speaker 7: one gets up at the end of the day, we
- 21:55Speaker 7: just seem to be getting And that speaks to the
- 21:58Speaker 7: very little difference that these two major parties now had.
- 22:01Speaker 11: It also speaks to reality though. That's the thing.
- 22:03Speaker 14: The truth is that ingistrates are not going to go
- 22:06Speaker 14: down until the economy starts to slow down and there spending.
- 22:10Speaker 14: Peter Dutton and Anthony Albanez, you both know that there
- 22:12Speaker 14: is no magic.
- 22:12Speaker 2: One all right. Would ask you both about this one
- 22:14Speaker 2: of Sydney's biggest.
- 22:15Speaker 3: Councils, Randwick, will ramp up security at its next meeting
- 22:18Speaker 3: after its Greens mayor accused Israel and its supporters of
- 22:21Speaker 3: murdering babies in an inflammatory speech. The Australian can reveal
- 22:26Speaker 3: extra guards and council rangers will attend the council's Tuesday
- 22:30Speaker 3: session after Mayor Philippa Vetch's fellow counselors and the wider
- 22:34Speaker 3: Jewish community claim they had been intimidated about left worried
- 22:38Speaker 3: about pro Palestine activists descending on the chamber, Lisa mean,
- 22:42Speaker 3: we know that the eastern suburbs of Sydney in particular
- 22:44Speaker 3: have higher Jewish populations. To hear a speech like that
- 22:47Speaker 3: from a local councilor is awful.
- 22:49Speaker 6: But why are you insinuating that there's going to be
- 22:54Speaker 6: violence against someone who's spoken out with a very disgusting
- 22:58Speaker 6: pro Palace spoint. That is not the side we're seeing
- 23:02Speaker 6: the violence.
- 23:03Speaker 14: They're worried about pro violence, pro Palestinian side. They're not
- 23:06Speaker 14: worried about the Jews rising up.
- 23:08Speaker 6: Who has someone who has been really pro Palestinian gone
- 23:12Speaker 6: out there.
- 23:12Speaker 2: I believe it was on a university. It was a
- 23:14Speaker 2: university campus.
- 23:15Speaker 6: They're worried that the pro Palestinians are now going to
- 23:19Speaker 6: show up and cause trouble at this hero of their
- 23:22Speaker 6: movement type.
- 23:23Speaker 11: I mean, it just goes.
- 23:25Speaker 2: It's a council meeting.
- 23:26Speaker 6: Are perpetually offended. This is the council which the person
- 23:31Speaker 6: who said these inflammatory things which these people who might
- 23:35Speaker 6: supposedly rock up and be violent about, they support what
- 23:40Speaker 6: this person has done.
- 23:40Speaker 14: No, no, no, the people who are worried about violence, and
- 23:43Speaker 14: other counselors who are not supporters of the mayor. So
- 23:45Speaker 14: there's a Jewish counselor who's worried, who said that they
- 23:48Speaker 14: felt unsafe because of what the mayor had previously said.
- 23:51Speaker 11: So it's not it's not supporters of her. That is complex.
- 23:53Speaker 2: It's not supporters of her. It's security there just in
- 23:56Speaker 2: case it sparks.
- 23:57Speaker 6: Up, so in case supporters in person raps up.
- 24:02Speaker 14: Other counselors, including one Jewish counselor, have said that they
- 24:06Speaker 14: no longer feel safe because she has whipped up such
- 24:08Speaker 14: anti Israeli center previous by calling Israeli.
- 24:13Speaker 2: Yeah, well we're almost out of time. But Joan, what
- 24:15Speaker 2: do you think.
- 24:15Speaker 14: I think she's an absolute fruitcake. She's absolutely natty. I
- 24:18Speaker 14: think she's the same one who didn't like the statue
- 24:19Speaker 14: of Captain Qui.
- 24:20Speaker 2: Yes it was I remember that one.
- 24:22Speaker 14: Yes, yeah, I reckon, you could see that coming from space.
- 24:26Speaker 3: You've got your finger on the pulse of interesting liszt story,
- 24:31Speaker 3: Joan Brand We've got to leave it there.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Good to have you both on, Thanks for joining me.
- 24:34Speaker 3: After the break, Democrats scrambled to endorse presidential candidate Kamala
- 24:38Speaker 3: Harris after being told of Biden's decision to drop out.
- 24:42Speaker 2: Just one minute, would you believe for the rest of
- 24:44Speaker 2: the world, welcome back.
- 24:51Speaker 11: Well.
- 24:51Speaker 3: Four years ago, COVID put Joe Biden into power, so
- 24:54Speaker 3: it seems almost strange that it.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Was COVID that took power away from him.
- 24:59Speaker 3: The President gave nothing away in his letter to the
- 25:01Speaker 3: American people announcing he will drop out of the race,
- 25:04Speaker 3: only that it was in the party's best interest. But
- 25:08Speaker 3: the public does deserve to know the truth. Joining me
- 25:11Speaker 3: now to discuss is US Republican strategist Colin Reid. Colin,
- 25:14Speaker 3: good to see you, Thanks for joining me. Surely dropping
- 25:17Speaker 3: out just because you know you can't win for some
- 25:20Speaker 3: Democrat elites to then pick a replacement to lead the
- 25:23Speaker 3: party to.
- 25:23Speaker 2: The next election.
- 25:24Speaker 3: Is not how democratic elections are supposed to be. What's
- 25:28Speaker 3: your take on how the party has gone about this.
- 25:31Speaker 12: It's a little bit ironic that Democratic Party would choose
- 25:34Speaker 12: its next nominee this way without any sort of democratic process,
- 25:38Speaker 12: especially when fourteen million Democratic primary voters have cast their
- 25:41Speaker 12: ballots for Joe Biden over the last six months. It
- 25:45Speaker 12: seems as though their voices are just being totally discounted,
- 25:47Speaker 12: totally thrown out. But look, two questions on my mind. One,
- 25:51Speaker 12: if Joe Biden is by his own admission, unfit to
- 25:54Speaker 12: be president for another four years, why is he qualified
- 25:58Speaker 12: right now? And what is that mean for the state
- 26:00Speaker 12: of the country these next five months until his term expires.
- 26:03Speaker 12: And Two, all of these Democratic candidates, including Vice President
- 26:07Speaker 12: Harris who's now seeking the office, have been telling us
- 26:10Speaker 12: for years that he's up for the job. He's doing
- 26:13Speaker 12: jumping jacks. You can't keep up with his energy. He's
- 26:15Speaker 12: just this unstoppable force behind the scenes. And now they're
- 26:19Speaker 12: saying he's too old to run, he's got to go.
- 26:21Speaker 12: So are they lying to us?
- 26:22Speaker 1: Then?
- 26:22Speaker 12: Are they lying to us?
- 26:22Speaker 2: Now?
- 26:23Speaker 12: We're going to find out and these are fair questions
- 26:25Speaker 12: to be asking that I think are on the minds
- 26:27Speaker 12: of all voters right now.
- 26:28Speaker 3: Absolutely, and the public deserved to know the truth. I
- 26:31Speaker 3: spoke earlier about this so that the cover up of
- 26:34Speaker 3: Joe Biden's health will go down as the Democrats and
- 26:36Speaker 3: left wing media's greatest ever hoax. I mean, for years, Colin,
- 26:39Speaker 3: they told us he was mentally fit, he was strong.
- 26:42Speaker 2: Then suddenly, on June twenty seven, he.
- 26:44Speaker 3: Was exposed to the world at the debate is completely
- 26:47Speaker 3: mentally incompetent.
- 26:48Speaker 2: And now suddenly there was a Democrat coup.
- 26:50Speaker 3: I mean, they only acted when he was exposed at
- 26:53Speaker 3: the eleventh hour.
- 26:55Speaker 12: They only acted when it shooted their own political interests,
- 26:57Speaker 12: and when it just became this result yesterday, the inevitable
- 27:00Speaker 12: reality since the events of June twenty seventh. But look,
- 27:04Speaker 12: there's one hundred and some one days left. The other
- 27:06Speaker 12: question to be remains is had this debate happened in
- 27:10Speaker 12: September instead of June, the Democrats would really be up
- 27:13Speaker 12: the creek without a paddle, because then there'd be no
- 27:15Speaker 12: time for them to recover. The nomination would have officially happened,
- 27:19Speaker 12: he would be the nominee. So look, you'd rather be
- 27:22Speaker 12: the Republicans the Democrats right now because the party one
- 27:25Speaker 12: party is united, one party is reeling, one party's got
- 27:28Speaker 12: the win in its back, one party has got the
- 27:30Speaker 12: wind in its face. But this does reset things, and
- 27:32Speaker 12: this does give the Democrats a chance they did not
- 27:35Speaker 12: have when we woke up yesterday morning. So everything is different,
- 27:39Speaker 12: everything is new, but one thing remains the same. Father
- 27:41Speaker 12: time has and always will be undefeated.
- 27:45Speaker 2: I want to ask you about that.
- 27:46Speaker 3: But before we get to what this means for Trump,
- 27:48Speaker 3: there are reports that Joe Biden gave his team a
- 27:51Speaker 3: one minute heads up before telling.
- 27:53Speaker 2: The world of his decision.
- 27:54Speaker 3: What does that suggest about his decision making process.
- 27:59Speaker 12: It suggests that the reports about the bunker mentality are true,
- 28:02Speaker 12: that this inner circle had really shrunk. This was a defiant,
- 28:05Speaker 12: angry guy who was refusing up until the last minute
- 28:09Speaker 12: to recognize the political reality before him. But look, Joe
- 28:12Speaker 12: Biden is someone who's been seeking the office he now
- 28:15Speaker 12: holds his entire life. He's run for president before twice
- 28:18Speaker 12: nineteen eighty eight, two thousand and eight. Both times ended
- 28:21Speaker 12: in spectacularly embarrassing fashion. He won in twenty twenty and
- 28:25Speaker 12: for someone to voluntarily give up the job they've been
- 28:28Speaker 12: seeking their entire lives that happens to be the most
- 28:31Speaker 12: powerful and important job in the free world. It's not easy,
- 28:34Speaker 12: but I think it's also he didn't do this because
- 28:37Speaker 12: he wanted to. He did this because he had to.
- 28:39Speaker 12: And however, this ending was going to conclude it was
- 28:42Speaker 12: not going to look good for President Biden. But the
- 28:43Speaker 12: more time went on, the more distance he lapsed from
- 28:47Speaker 12: the debate, the more of his fellow party members who
- 28:49Speaker 12: came out and said, you gotta go, Joe. It was
- 28:52Speaker 12: just the situation was getting worse, not better. And there's
- 28:55Speaker 12: an old saying in politics, good gets better and bad
- 28:58Speaker 12: gets worse. And the Democratic forty was in a really
- 29:01Speaker 12: dangerous tailspin.
- 29:02Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a really, really good quote. Let's talk now
- 29:05Speaker 2: about Kamala Harris.
- 29:06Speaker 3: It looks as though it will probably be her going
- 29:08Speaker 3: up against Donald Trump. This is what Trump has said
- 29:11Speaker 3: about her in the past.
- 29:14Speaker 11: But she seems pretty senile too.
- 29:15Speaker 15: She speaks in rhyme.
- 29:19Speaker 2: It's weird, it's weird, but she has bad moments and
- 29:22Speaker 2: in rhyme. Well, the way she talks.
- 29:25Speaker 6: The bus will go here and then the bus will
- 29:27Speaker 6: go there, because that's what busses do.
- 29:30Speaker 2: It's weird.
- 29:30Speaker 11: The whole thing is weird.
- 29:31Speaker 2: This is not a president of the United States future.
- 29:36Speaker 1: That all broken down.
- 29:37Speaker 8: Pilot crab.
- 29:38Speaker 11: Yeah, it's a bad he just quit. You know, he's quitting.
- 29:40Speaker 2: The rest is that right?
- 29:41Speaker 11: Yeah, I gotta matter, And that means we have Karmala.
- 29:45Speaker 12: She's so bad, so pathetic.
- 29:47Speaker 3: It's colin, what sort of a contest will it be
- 29:53Speaker 3: between these two?
- 29:54Speaker 2: If she is indeed endorsed.
- 29:57Speaker 12: There's no doubt she brings a number of vulnerabilities in
- 30:00Speaker 12: lenges to this race. The vice presidency has not acquitted
- 30:03Speaker 12: her well. And you know, frankly, I think President Biden
- 30:05Speaker 12: deserves some blame for that. He immediately upon taking office
- 30:09Speaker 12: gave her some of the hardest challenges he faced for
- 30:11Speaker 12: his administration, including stopping the unmitigated disaster of the southern
- 30:15Speaker 12: border of situation. That's frankly, anyone would have had a
- 30:18Speaker 12: hard time dealing with, let alone someone with the Vice
- 30:21Speaker 12: President Harris's experience. So look, she came into the chance
- 30:24Speaker 12: of the twenty twenty race as a really a stock
- 30:27Speaker 12: to watch, someone who was potentially on the rise that
- 30:31Speaker 12: didn't happen. She fell out of the race before votes
- 30:34Speaker 12: were even cast, and then President Biden resuscitated her political
- 30:37Speaker 12: career by putting her picking her as vice president. So
- 30:40Speaker 12: she's got immense challenges. But let's be honest, she's got
- 30:44Speaker 12: a pulse, she's ability, she's able to time's former coherent sentence,
- 30:49Speaker 12: and that's more than the president, the standard bearer of
- 30:52Speaker 12: the President Biden's able to do at this point in time. So, look,
- 30:55Speaker 12: they were better off with anyone than him at the
- 30:57Speaker 12: top of the ticket. And Republicans or who were hoping
- 31:01Speaker 12: they were going to get President Biden, they were right then,
- 31:03Speaker 12: and look at anyone better than who they had, it
- 31:06Speaker 12: was a market improvement. But she's got enormous challenges.
- 31:10Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely, Look it's going to be interesting to see
- 31:12Speaker 3: what happens between now and November.
- 31:14Speaker 2: Colin Reid, thank you so much for your time.
- 31:16Speaker 10: Thank you have a great day.
- 31:18Speaker 2: Well.
- 31:19Speaker 3: Joe Biden's choice peak as the Democratic nominee is Kamala Harris,
- 31:22Speaker 3: who current Vice president, a woman who seems more preoccupied
- 31:27Speaker 3: with waffling nonsense just like someone else in the party.
- 31:32Speaker 8: To see the moment in time in which we exist
- 31:36Speaker 8: during women's history, month we celebrate and we honor the
- 31:40Speaker 8: women who made history. The significance of the passage of time, right,
- 31:45Speaker 8: the significance of the passage of time. So when you
- 31:48Speaker 8: think about it, there is great significance to the passage
- 31:51Speaker 8: of time. It is time for us to do what
- 31:55Speaker 8: we have been doing in that time as every day.
- 31:59Speaker 2: Does she even know what she's saying?
- 32:01Speaker 3: To discuss this and more, I am joined by Media
- 32:03Speaker 3: Research Center Vice President Dan Schneider, Dan, thank you so
- 32:08Speaker 3: much for joining us this evening. Kamala Harris is now
- 32:11Speaker 3: vowing to win the party's nomination. Here she is rolling
- 32:16Speaker 3: out one of her many cringeworthy lines.
- 32:19Speaker 8: I can imagine what can be and be unburdened by
- 32:22Speaker 8: what has been. You know, what can be unburdened by
- 32:27Speaker 8: what has been? What can be unburdened by what has been?
- 32:32Speaker 8: What can be unburdened by what has been?
- 32:36Speaker 3: Dan, is this seriously the woman who could possibly be
- 32:40Speaker 3: the next president of the United States?
- 32:43Speaker 1: Well, shockingly, it is possible she could be the next
- 32:47Speaker 1: president of the United States. Tenika. But what we're also
- 32:51Speaker 1: understanding here is that there is a massive burden on
- 32:54Speaker 1: her shoulders that she is not unburdened by and that
- 32:58Speaker 1: massive burden is named Brock Obama. We are actually still
- 33:02Speaker 1: in the beginning of the civil war within the Democrat Party,
- 33:07Speaker 1: the Clintons versus the Obama's and this has this little
- 33:11Speaker 1: civil war has been playing out with the nomination, the
- 33:15Speaker 1: presumed nomination of Joe Biden, until Barack Obama began to
- 33:19Speaker 1: push him out of the way.
- 33:20Speaker 3: So do you think then others will put their hand
- 33:23Speaker 3: up in the Democrats?
- 33:26Speaker 1: It's I think most Democrats are sitting back trying to
- 33:30Speaker 1: figure out if, in fact Barack Obama has the cloud
- 33:34Speaker 1: and the ability to force Kamala Harris out of the way.
- 33:39Speaker 1: You know, it's a tricky It's a tricky battle because
- 33:42Speaker 1: the Democrat Party here in America, of course, is so
- 33:44Speaker 1: wed to the DEI effort that on its face it
- 33:48Speaker 1: looks like pushing her out of the way would anger
- 33:50Speaker 1: the Black Democrat caucus here in our Congress. But with
- 33:55Speaker 1: Barack Obama trying to undermine her, anything is possible.
- 34:00Speaker 3: And with Biden's announcement it was clearly not a matter
- 34:03Speaker 3: of if. But when did the Democrats push Biden out
- 34:07Speaker 3: only because America found out about his cognitive state?
- 34:11Speaker 2: Do you think.
- 34:11Speaker 3: I mean, they've been covering it up for years, then
- 34:14Speaker 3: led a coup in recent weeks to push him out.
- 34:18Speaker 1: Right, He's been impaired for a number of years. During
- 34:24Speaker 1: the twenty twenty election, when we had our COVID election,
- 34:28Speaker 1: he was, of course Biden in the basement, campaigning from
- 34:32Speaker 1: the basement. The storyline was that they were letting Donald
- 34:36Speaker 1: Trump hang himself, But in fact, anytime we did see
- 34:39Speaker 1: Biden speak, we could tell that he was not the
- 34:42Speaker 1: same order that he had been before. I would not
- 34:46Speaker 1: have ever called him a gifted order, but he certainly
- 34:49Speaker 1: had to give to the gap. But in twenty twenty
- 34:52Speaker 1: he had lost that edge, and throughout his administration we
- 34:55Speaker 1: saw that decline rapidly.
- 34:58Speaker 3: Yes, you're right, it has certainly been a long time coming. Look,
- 35:01Speaker 3: the Democrats have accused Trump of being a threat to democracy,
- 35:05Speaker 3: yet voters won't even be given a chance to elect
- 35:08Speaker 3: a nominee in the primaries. It's been a complete waste
- 35:11Speaker 3: of time. Is that lack of official process a threat
- 35:14Speaker 3: to democracy?
- 35:15Speaker 2: Now? With itself?
- 35:17Speaker 1: Well, of course, selecting the Democrats next nominee without a
- 35:22Speaker 1: single US citizen actually going to the ballot box to
- 35:26Speaker 1: vote for him is very undemocratic. I know that many
- 35:30Speaker 1: Republicans have tried to call hypocrisy. I doubt that that
- 35:34Speaker 1: argument is going to resonate with the American public. They
- 35:38Speaker 1: will think that the Democrats ought to be able to
- 35:42Speaker 1: have somebody running who put two brain cells together. But
- 35:47Speaker 1: you are right, Denika, this is a very undemocratic process
- 35:51Speaker 1: that the Democrats are pursuing right now. It sort of
- 35:54Speaker 1: calls a lie to the name of their own party.
- 35:56Speaker 1: It's an undemocratic Democrat party.
- 36:00Speaker 3: What do the Democrats in media have to do to
- 36:02Speaker 3: ordain themselves after years of line to Americans.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Well, Americans have a short memory, Danika. It will not
- 36:09Speaker 1: take long before this is this a thing in the past?
- 36:13Speaker 1: Our legacy media here in the United States will very
- 36:16Speaker 1: aggressively push whoever the ultimate nominee is for the Democrats
- 36:20Speaker 1: that they will the media here will rally behind that
- 36:23Speaker 1: person to try to prevent Donald Trump from being re
- 36:27Speaker 1: elected to the presidency. And then, frankly, regardless of how
- 36:32Speaker 1: this next election turns out, the media will continue to
- 36:35Speaker 1: push against Republicans supporting the Democrat And we're going to
- 36:40Speaker 1: We're going to be back to the same situation within
- 36:43Speaker 1: twelve months of this next election.
- 36:46Speaker 3: Yeah, it is extraordinary. What does this mean for the
- 36:49Speaker 3: upcoming Democrat convention?
- 36:53Speaker 1: Well, yeah, that convention has already begun. It was supposed
- 36:59Speaker 1: to begin about a week from now, in a virtual sense,
- 37:03Speaker 1: to begin getting these pledged delegates to formally nominate Joe Biden.
- 37:09Speaker 1: That time period is now in doubt. But whether it's
- 37:13Speaker 1: formally begun or will formally begin soon is almost irrelevant.
- 37:17Speaker 1: The real battle has in fact commenced Kamala Harris against
- 37:23Speaker 1: all other comers who may or may not be backed
- 37:26Speaker 1: by Barack Obama.
- 37:28Speaker 3: Donald Trump maintains he can beat Kamala Harris. Do you
- 37:31Speaker 3: agree or will she be more of a challenge for him?
- 37:37Speaker 1: If it's possible to imagine a worse candidate than Joe Biden,
- 37:42Speaker 1: I think that person embodies you know, our Vice President
- 37:46Speaker 1: Kamala Harris. She is not liked. She's not liked by
- 37:50Speaker 1: her own staff, and I know that you all have
- 37:52Speaker 1: reported in the past that she cannot keep her own
- 37:56Speaker 1: staff her. You know, people who are employed by her
- 38:00Speaker 1: leave that office screaming they dislike her. The rest of
- 38:04Speaker 1: the White House staff who has to work with her
- 38:06Speaker 1: do not like her. The party's establishment does not like
- 38:10Speaker 1: Kamala Harris. She's never once had a job that required
- 38:14Speaker 1: her to manage or lead she has following up her
- 38:18Speaker 1: entire career. Frankly, I don't see her running any kind
- 38:22Speaker 1: of a campaign, so I think Donald Trump still has
- 38:27Speaker 1: a big edge over Kamala Harris. The question then is
- 38:30Speaker 1: whether the Democrats' efforts essentially to undermine our own campaign
- 38:34Speaker 1: laws will come into play and will Democrats be allowed
- 38:37Speaker 1: essentially to manufacture millions and millions of votes outside the
- 38:41Speaker 1: regular voting process.
- 38:43Speaker 3: Yeah, good point, Dan Schnader, great to speak with you.
- 38:46Speaker 3: Thank you so much for joining us.
- 38:48Speaker 2: Thanks to Anika after the break.
- 38:51Speaker 3: What a presidency under Kamala Harris would mean for Australia
- 38:55Speaker 3: and does she have what it takes to address the
- 38:57Speaker 3: issues Biden would.
- 38:58Speaker 2: It welcome back? Will?
- 39:04Speaker 3: Prime Minister Anthony Albanesi has congratulated President Biden's decision to
- 39:08Speaker 3: drop out of the US presidential race.
- 39:12Speaker 15: President Biden deserves today, I think, to be recognized for
- 39:18Speaker 15: once again not putting himself forward first, but giving his
- 39:24Speaker 15: first consideration to being what he believes is in the
- 39:27Speaker 15: interests of the United States of America, as he has
- 39:32Speaker 15: done his whole public life.
- 39:34Speaker 3: The Opposition stressed the importance of President Biden's role in
- 39:38Speaker 3: the Orcus Agreement, urging his replacement to continue to deliver
- 39:42Speaker 3: on the security Pact.
- 39:44Speaker 16: He has been a great friend of our country and
- 39:47Speaker 16: he's been somebody who has strengthened the relationship between our
- 39:51Speaker 16: two countries.
- 39:52Speaker 17: And it's crucial that whoever replaces him in the Oval Office,
- 39:56Speaker 17: we continue to deliver on the Orcist partnership, all aspects
- 40:01Speaker 17: of the alliance with the United States.
- 40:04Speaker 3: Joining me now is Headline Advisory Director Andrew Carswell, Andrew,
- 40:07Speaker 3: good to see you. Does Carmala Harris have what it
- 40:10Speaker 3: takes to continue to deliver on the Orchest Agreement?
- 40:15Speaker 16: Well, I think, judging on her performance as Vice president,
- 40:18Speaker 16: there are some serious questions around this and some concerns,
- 40:23Speaker 16: and that goes to the leadership of issues, but also communication,
- 40:26Speaker 16: which is vital for such agreements. In terms of the leadership,
- 40:29Speaker 16: Kamala Harris was put in charge of fixing the borders
- 40:33Speaker 16: in the US.
- 40:33Speaker 11: It wasn't Joe Biden.
- 40:35Speaker 16: It was Kamala Harris that led to what we saw
- 40:38Speaker 16: happen at the US Mexico border, an explosion of immigrants
- 40:42Speaker 16: crossing over and causing chaos in the US. And that
- 40:46Speaker 16: is the lived experience of Americans at the moment. And
- 40:49Speaker 16: if you asked Americans what they're angry about, they're angry
- 40:51Speaker 16: about inflation, and they're angry about the breakdown at the borders.
- 40:56Speaker 16: And so the Democrats are taking a massive risk here
- 40:59Speaker 16: putting up a candidate who was responsible for the chaos
- 41:02Speaker 16: that Americans are seeing.
- 41:03Speaker 11: At their own border.
- 41:04Speaker 16: Why is that important for Aucus? It's important to have
- 41:08Speaker 16: strong leadership to deliver on Aucus, to see it to fruition.
- 41:12Speaker 16: And in terms of communication, well, words matter, and Kamala
- 41:16Speaker 16: Harris has proved to be not very good at using words.
- 41:20Speaker 16: You know, there's a vast difference difference between Kamala Harris's
- 41:23Speaker 16: ineffective communication and Joe Biden's ineffective communication. At the very least,
- 41:30Speaker 16: Kamala Harris understands what she's saying. She might be the
- 41:33Speaker 16: only one, but she understands it at least. And secondly,
- 41:36Speaker 16: unlike Joe Biden, you can actually get an understanding of
- 41:41Speaker 16: the words she's actually saying, and then once you hear them,
- 41:44Speaker 16: you probably don't want to understand understand anymore. So why
- 41:48Speaker 16: does that matter for Aucus, Well, it matters because when
- 41:51Speaker 16: it comes to regional security, when it comes to national security,
- 41:55Speaker 16: when it comes to these important bilateral agreements, words matter,
- 41:59Speaker 16: the strength of words matter.
- 42:01Speaker 3: Yeah, no, absolutely, the why you put that? Look, I
- 42:04Speaker 3: want to ask you about some matters on the home front. Now,
- 42:06Speaker 3: it's been a bruising month for Labor. In the polls
- 42:09Speaker 3: News poll shows the coalition up two points in primary
- 42:12Speaker 3: vote support, and even in the Financial Reviews Freshwater Pole
- 42:15Speaker 3: it shows the Coalition leading Albanese's government by fifty one
- 42:19Speaker 3: to forty nine two party preferred.
- 42:21Speaker 2: Andrew, how do you read these figures?
- 42:25Speaker 16: Well, the trend isn't the friend of the Albanzi government
- 42:27Speaker 16: at the moment. We're seeing a number of poles now
- 42:29Speaker 16: suggest that the decline is continuing. The Albanezi government has
- 42:34Speaker 16: failed to arrest the slump in its own numbers in
- 42:37Speaker 16: terms of its primary which is sitting well underneath what
- 42:40Speaker 16: it was when they won in twenty twenty two. But
- 42:44Speaker 16: of particular concern that the personal approval ratings of Anthony Alberanzi,
- 42:48Speaker 16: which continue to be in the toilet now normally at
- 42:50Speaker 16: this stage of a cycle six to ten months out
- 42:53Speaker 16: from an election, governments wouldn't be that concerned about it.
- 42:56Speaker 16: You know, fifty to fifty is okay for an incumbent
- 42:59Speaker 16: government government government. But when you look at the Ford
- 43:03Speaker 16: Agenda of the alban Ezy government, there are some deep
- 43:05Speaker 16: concerns that they can arrest this slide. There is nothing
- 43:09Speaker 16: in their Ford Agenda that is positive. You look at
- 43:12Speaker 16: the next couple of weeks and a couple of sitting
- 43:14Speaker 16: weeks here in Parliament, they have to deliver on environmental
- 43:17Speaker 16: reform and I say reform pitting themselves against farmers, mine
- 43:22Speaker 16: as the business community. It is going to be a mess.
- 43:25Speaker 16: Is that going to win the support of Australians hardly?
- 43:27Speaker 16: And then you move on to religious discrimination where they
- 43:31Speaker 16: risk alienating further religious communities and people of faith in Australia.
- 43:35Speaker 16: So it's hardly a positive few months ahead and we're
- 43:39Speaker 16: not going to see that slide be arrested by anything
- 43:41Speaker 16: the oven Ezy government does.
- 43:42Speaker 11: And then the'st a couple of weeks.
- 43:44Speaker 3: No, especially given the big issues at stake here that
- 43:46Speaker 3: you just mentioned.
- 43:47Speaker 2: Andrew Carswell, good to speak with you.
- 43:48Speaker 3: Thank you so much for joining us this evening, for
- 43:51Speaker 3: coming up after the break. As Joe Biden Front's reality
- 43:54Speaker 3: and blows up the democratic process. Is Vice President Karmala
- 43:57Speaker 3: Harris a lot to get the nomination?
- 44:00Speaker 2: Wouldn't be so? Sure? Welcome back Well.
- 44:06Speaker 3: Democrats have raised nearly fifty million US dollars in small
- 44:10Speaker 3: donations since Joe Biden dropped out, making it the party's
- 44:14Speaker 3: biggest day since twenty twenty. Jodny b Now is Kinny's contributor. Koshagada,
- 44:19Speaker 3: koshare good to see you.
- 44:20Speaker 2: The money is coming in thick and fast.
- 44:25Speaker 18: It sure is. I think this is the money or
- 44:28Speaker 18: the monetary reflection of I think what we all can
- 44:31Speaker 18: expect to transpire now that this day many people were
- 44:34Speaker 18: calling and predicting has happened, which is that you're going
- 44:38Speaker 18: to see sort of the narrative shaping happen. The media
- 44:41Speaker 18: is going to fall back in line. They're going to
- 44:43Speaker 18: give Joe Biden the hero send off with all the
- 44:45Speaker 18: trappings of libraries and book deals and all the rest
- 44:47Speaker 18: of it, and then come life, it's her, whoever the
- 44:51Speaker 18: nominee is, if they go the open convention route, is
- 44:53Speaker 18: going to be the anointed one. And so the money
- 44:55Speaker 18: is just a reflection of how the base and the
- 44:57Speaker 18: donor class and the Democrat Party is feeling because they've
- 45:00Speaker 18: achieved know what they've been pushing for now for three weeks.
- 45:04Speaker 2: So what happens next then?
- 45:05Speaker 3: Is it truly an open convention or is Kamala Harris
- 45:09Speaker 3: being dem nominee a foregone conclusion?
- 45:14Speaker 18: I think, you know, this is so unprecedented in US
- 45:16Speaker 18: politics that nobody actually knows the answer to that. And
- 45:19Speaker 18: those power factions that we've been talking about who were
- 45:22Speaker 18: gunning for Biden to stay or to drop, those factions
- 45:25Speaker 18: and all that infighting still remains, and you see different
- 45:27Speaker 18: camps of people. The Clintons have endorsed her, the Obamas
- 45:31Speaker 18: have not. However, smart money seems to be that Kamala
- 45:34Speaker 18: still has the advantage, and even if it's an open convention,
- 45:38Speaker 18: it's sort of an open convention without being open, where
- 45:40Speaker 18: it's almost like window dressing. But the foregone conclusion would
- 45:44Speaker 18: be her. We don't know. But the reasons for that
- 45:46Speaker 18: is because she holds the money advantage. She gets to
- 45:48Speaker 18: keep this funding that you just mentioned. They've raised procedural
- 45:51Speaker 18: advantages and optical advantages where she is at least on paper,
- 45:55Speaker 18: the vice president, and in the event that Biden has
- 45:58Speaker 18: pushed out before the which some factions are saying, you know,
- 46:01Speaker 18: that might even happen. Then she gets to actually be president,
- 46:05Speaker 18: which will elevate her even more and they'll just be
- 46:06Speaker 18: really difficult for someone else to unseat her. But we
- 46:09Speaker 18: shall find out in two short weeks.
- 46:11Speaker 3: Why haven't the Obamas come out and endorsed her.
- 46:14Speaker 2: What's the strategy there?
- 46:17Speaker 18: You know, I think it is that they're trying to
- 46:20Speaker 18: either actually generate momentum for an open convention, because everybody
- 46:25Speaker 18: knows the biggest open secret in politics is she's a
- 46:28Speaker 18: very unlikable, unpopular candidate, and all the evidence supports that
- 46:31Speaker 18: when she's run previously, in terms of the number of
- 46:34Speaker 18: delegates she's gotten and votes she's gotten, or if it
- 46:37Speaker 18: is the latter, that they're stuck with her for lack
- 46:39Speaker 18: of a better word, even though she's not the best
- 46:41Speaker 18: politician or campaigner. It provides that veneer of legitimacy. Because
- 46:45Speaker 18: Joe Biden did win all the delegates, millions of people
- 46:48Speaker 18: voted for him in their primary process, they didn't open
- 46:50Speaker 18: it up to competition at that time, and now they
- 46:53Speaker 18: sort of have to provide that veneer that you know
- 46:55Speaker 18: what we are still a party that runs a.
- 46:56Speaker 2: Process that allows people to vote who they want.
- 46:59Speaker 18: They're not nominated, and I think Obama's just trying to
- 47:01Speaker 18: shore up that position, even though I think we all
- 47:03Speaker 18: can see that that's not likely to be what happens.
- 47:06Speaker 3: And if we take a look at the polls, Kosher
- 47:08Speaker 3: Kamala Harris would be starting from behind if she is
- 47:11Speaker 3: selected by the Democrats to take on Donald Trump. The
- 47:14Speaker 3: latest polling said forty six point three percent to Trump's
- 47:17Speaker 3: forty eight percent. Trump is still ahead, but is it
- 47:21Speaker 3: fair to say that the gap narrows if it is
- 47:23Speaker 3: indeed Kamala?
- 47:24Speaker 2: I mean, will the switch to her actually work?
- 47:29Speaker 18: This is the part that's so fascinating. So she is
- 47:31Speaker 18: a very unpopular candidate, behind dramatically in all the polls.
- 47:35Speaker 18: She got zero delegates in the Democrat primary. The cycle,
- 47:39Speaker 18: she got zero point eight percent of the vote when
- 47:41Speaker 18: she was even running in California, which is a deep
- 47:43Speaker 18: blue state for attorney general. So she does not have
- 47:45Speaker 18: the best track record of whenever she's actually campaigning and running.
- 47:49Speaker 18: That said, I would not underestimate the power of the machinery,
- 47:53Speaker 18: which includes you know, the media giving her lots of
- 47:55Speaker 18: glowing puff pieces, the cover girl treatment. She's going to
- 47:58Speaker 18: get on various magazine everybody falling in line and giving
- 48:02Speaker 18: her opportunities for photo ops and real presidential situations and
- 48:05Speaker 18: meeting with foreign leaders and all of that stuff. When
- 48:08Speaker 18: that happens, I would not be surprised if you see
- 48:10Speaker 18: that gap shrink, and I think we can expect it.
- 48:12Speaker 18: I've maintained that this is going to be a very
- 48:14Speaker 18: very close election, notwithstanding all this craziness that's happening, and
- 48:18Speaker 18: I think the gap will close no matter who it is.
- 48:21Speaker 3: Look, I mean, it's been another fascinating day, but I've
- 48:23Speaker 3: got to say, Kosher, it caps off what has been
- 48:25Speaker 3: a really fascinating four weeks in US politics.
- 48:29Speaker 2: And they say that a week is.
- 48:30Speaker 3: A long time in politics, and well, it certainly has
- 48:33Speaker 3: been a fascinating month. Kosher, Garda, we're out of time.
- 48:35Speaker 3: Really appreciate you joining us. Thank you so much for
- 48:38Speaker 3: your company this evening, and thank you for joining me
- 48:41Speaker 3: on the program. Sharry Markson will return to the program
- 48:45Speaker 3: tomorrow night, but do stay with us here on Sky News.
- 48:48Speaker 2: Up now, it's Paul Murray Live,
