• 1:18
Speaker 2: That was probably their closest game of the year, yeah Well, it's good to see you win those type of games.
• 1:25
Speaker 2: Leonard Hamilton he's got two games left, yep, and he's had 199 ACC wins, so he might have his best shot tonight at Virginia.
• 1:43
  Speaker 1: Yeah, Without question.
• 1:48
Speaker 2: But the NFL draft looms.
• 1:52
Speaker 2: Don't even get me started on that Scenarios, I mean you know what it is.
• 1:56
  Speaker 2: It's just.
• 1:56
Speaker 2: But that's why it works, because people just want to know where everyone's going to go, fantasy implications.
• 2:05
Speaker 2: And then there's players who haven't signed yet that probably whatever happens in the draft will implicate where they go.
• 2:14
Speaker 2: So a lot that goes into it.
• 2:17
Speaker 2: We'll discuss the draft, the FSU players that are ready for it.
• 2:26

• 2:28
  Speaker 2: I think he'll.
• 2:29

• 2:31
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, farmer might be okay.
• 2:35
Speaker 2: It's not a big year in terms of you know compared to last year, you had three guys that were invited Right.
• 2:45
  Speaker 1: Would have been.
• 2:45
Speaker 1: I think you probably would have had a couple were invited Right, I think you probably would have had a couple more, had Jackson not returned and had Peyton not decided to transfer.
• 2:53
Speaker 1: Yeah, but yeah, we were 2-10.
• 2:57
Speaker 1: Right, we're going to have a lot.

• 3:38
Speaker 2: All right, all right, welcome back.
• 3:57
Speaker 2: It's the north florida sports network, it's march 2025 tuesday god, so it's finally over.
• 4:17
Speaker 2: I guess we're gonna start right there.
• 4:18
Speaker 2: Uh, this thing that we, you know, talked about for a lot in the previous episodes.
• 4:24
Speaker 2: If you want to go back, I recommend doing it, but the lawsuit's over Settlement was made.
• 4:34
Speaker 2: The ACC will pay more to Florida State and Clemson.
• 4:41
Speaker 1: Increased revenue share based on viewership yeah, um, that's you know, that's all that that it could have been avoided.
• 4:53
Speaker 1: They would have just had that in the original deal which is crazy If you look at it.
• 4:59
Speaker 2: Even the past what five seasons 2019 to 2024, florida state, and what two of those years were good?
• 5:04
  Speaker 2: That's it.
• 5:04
Speaker 2: Yeah, the past what five seasons 2019 to 2024, florida State, and what two of those years were good?
• 5:07
  Speaker 2: That's it.
• 5:09
Speaker 1: Yeah, there's never been any question, they still led the conference with viewership, drawing a 2-1-5 trailed by only.
• 5:17
Speaker 2: Clemson, who's close right behind them at 2.8.
• 5:19
Speaker 2: But Clemson was good the whole time and won a championship in that window.
• 5:24
Speaker 1: Right and playing in playoff games.
• 5:25
Speaker 1: No, they time and won a championship in that window.
• 5:25
Speaker 1: Right and playing in playoff games.
• 5:26
Speaker 2: No, they didn't win a championship in that window.
• 5:29
Speaker 1: But they still made the playoffs yeah.
• 5:33
Speaker 2: Miami's right there, but there's a big gap.
• 5:36
  Speaker 1: There's a sizable gap.
• 5:36
Speaker 1: There's a sizable gap Two to three.
• 5:39
Speaker 2: So Clemson and Florida State were the two schools that were upset.
• 5:42
Speaker 2: North Carolina is the school here in the background where I think they're just waiting, but the SEC wants them, I know.
• 5:58
Speaker 1: Yeah, I think schools want different things.
• 6:03
Speaker 2: North Carolina is not necessarily so worried about, you know, having a landing spot when this thing blows up and another key point of the settlement was the grant of rights deal, which was supposed to end in what?
• 6:17
  Speaker 2: 2036.
• 6:18
Speaker 2: Now there'll be a uh, different buyout, a lesser buyout that will be available.
• 6:25
  Speaker 2: What in 2030?
• 6:28
Speaker 1: Yeah, well, it's already been reduced.
• 6:30
Speaker 1: It reduces something like $18 million a year, so that's a win there.
• 6:38
Speaker 1: They got it considerably lowered from what it was, which was ridiculous.
• 6:41
Speaker 1: Who's the winner here?
• 6:42
Speaker 1: There is no clear-cut winner.
• 6:45
Speaker 1: Florida State, I mean.
• 6:48
Speaker 1: From my perspective, they probably made out better on their end of the deal, right.
• 6:53
Speaker 2: Because your alternative is what.
• 6:54
Speaker 2: So you ended up.
• 6:56
Speaker 2: You have to go with what you were getting before you filed the lawsuit Really, and if you improve that it was worth it.
• 7:07
Speaker 1: Yeah, the losers in this are these schools that are not going to have high viewership and are not going to make as much money yeah so it's not the conference that loses, you know, they still get what they want, which is their main draw right in the acc.
• 7:20
Speaker 2: Well, then it kind of goes to what we've been kind of saying and well, you know, I even talked about it with Justin, how he wish, he wished everybody was independent, and yeah, I mean with schools about to have the ability to pay for players, yeah, legally well, and that's.
• 7:40
Speaker 2: And now you see, conference, the schools in the conferences getting you know they already do this in the SEC but still, like, there's still teams that don't draw anything in the SEC that are making more than Florida State.
• 7:58
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 7:58
Speaker 2: You know, and that's the part that the conference thing, I think that's just an.
• 8:04
Speaker 1: Well, if everybody were to go independent?
• 8:07
Speaker 1: You look, Then you lose the opponent.
• 8:08
Speaker 2: You lose those kind of schools you have to build up because you have to have, I guess, the opponent you got to beat on somebody.
• 8:14
Speaker 2: But if you lose the conference and just go with some sort of regional division set up, like they do in, I don't know, the NFL, now that you're paying the players, yeah, let's just make it another NFL structure, but you can still use the schools.
• 8:32
Speaker 2: It's still college football.
• 8:33
  Speaker 2: I just think that's.
• 8:36
Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know if that's the end game or not, uh, well, if you, if you did that, you could get a few schools that would get deals with networks.
• 8:43
Speaker 1: You're never going to have the big.
• 8:44
Speaker 2: the problem is you're never gonna have the big 10 and the sec schools ever agree to that, because they don't want to give up what they have Right.
• 8:52
Speaker 2: Why would they want to share in that?
• 8:55
Speaker 1: Right, it's just kind of a fight between the two.
• 8:58
Speaker 2: So you would need, I guess, a coalition of other power schools to agree to go independent away from the rest of their bottom feeder conferences in terms of, you know, viewership, but yeah, there would be surprisingly less schools than I think people imagine that would be able to actually do that.
• 9:21
Speaker 1: You're talking about maybe five or six, so we started.
• 9:24
Speaker 2: Florida State, clemson, miami, georgia Tech is fourth on that list, and then Louisville, stanford, unc, go all the way to the bottom of the list NC State, pitt, virginia Tech, syracuse, duke, cow, uva, wake, forest, boston college and then smu.
• 9:43
Speaker 2: But these numbers are from 2019 and 2024 right and with smu's case they were in a different conference plan on streaming.
• 9:50
  Speaker 1: So we're that'll change, but that'll change, because they're.
• 9:54
  Speaker 2: What about those?
• 9:55
Speaker 1: those three or four teams right above them.
• 9:59
Speaker 2: Yeah, read them off.
• 10:01
Speaker 2: Boston College, from the bottom to the top.
• 10:04
Speaker 2: Wake Forest, uva, cal.
• 10:05
Speaker 2: Okay, but Cal hadn't been in the league either, right, and then.
• 10:12
  Speaker 1: Duke, Syracuse.
• 10:13
  Speaker 1: There you go.
• 10:13
Speaker 1: So you're starting to see the talks of the merger of the basketball the basketball schools.
• 10:21
Speaker 2: Teams like that are just merging with the biggies?
• 10:22
Speaker 1: yeah, because if it becomes something to become something where you have to be independently wealthy to have a football program, schools like that are just going to not have a football program right, dude could swing it, play right you'd have.
• 10:35
Speaker 1: You can't have conferences.
• 10:37
Speaker 1: The same thing happens.
• 10:39
Speaker 2: That happens to the pac-12 well, hey, man, then you have to go out and schedule.
• 10:45
Speaker 2: You know different games, you know I it's, it's going to change more.
• 10:50
Speaker 2: Uh, this is uh, I guess, for the immediate future.
• 10:53
Speaker 2: You have a little bit of structure in place for the next five years in terms of conferences you know I mean you kind of?
• 11:00
Speaker 1: know, florida state you well, now you're not leaving, it's not?
• 11:03
Speaker 2: gonna yeah, it's gonna happen down the road, but all they did was push it back.
• 11:09
Speaker 2: Yeah, it's kind of it was just like a settlement to like keep the and let's be clear, they they could leave the machine.
• 11:16
Speaker 2: They could leave right now right, but they don't want to pay that buyout.
• 11:20
Speaker 1: They're not interested in paying that.
• 11:21
Speaker 1: And I think they have a pretty good idea that until 2030, until that new deal with the Big Ten and the SEC, until they redo their media deal, there's really not much of a chance they're going to be adding you or looking to add you.
• 11:37
Speaker 1: So there's really no point in doing it now.
• 11:40
Speaker 1: If you can get more money, the revenue share increase, so that's a win for Florida State.
• 11:46
Speaker 2: I mean you saw it.
• 11:47
Speaker 2: I mean how cable kind of is now streaming.
• 11:50
Speaker 2: You're seeing streaming more and more Eventually.
• 11:54
Speaker 2: You know, I just remember doing the FAMU season years ago, the game they played against Mississippi Valley State.
• 12:02
Speaker 2: They had their own YouTube channel.
• 12:03
Speaker 2: The game was on that.
• 12:04
Speaker 2: That could be something that is explored.
• 12:08
Speaker 2: I don't know, but not for the next five years.
• 12:11
Speaker 2: The ACC will be the home.
• 12:14
Speaker 2: Florida State will get more money.
• 12:20
Speaker 1: Yeah, they're going to.
• 12:21
  Speaker 1: I mean, I don't.
• 12:22
Speaker 1: If people are going to keep watching when we're as bad as we were this past season.
• 12:28
Speaker 2: It's been a roller coaster, yeah, and you had the two good season where you had 2022, where you won 10 games, and then the undefeated season, and then it was down, yeah, you know, and then the undefeated season, and then it was down yeah.
• 12:40
Speaker 2: You know, and then it was terrible in 2019.
• 12:43
  Speaker 2: Terrible.
• 12:44
Speaker 2: And then you had COVID, it was bad, and then 2021 was bad, and it's.
• 12:49
  Speaker 1: That's the thing.
• 12:49
Speaker 1: But at the end of 21,.
• 12:51
Speaker 2: you started to see glimpses of hope Right.
• 12:53
Speaker 1: But between 19 and the end of 21,.
• 12:55
Speaker 1: Like as bad as it was, it was building Between 19 and the end of 21,.
• 13:00
Speaker 1: Like, as bad as it was, it was still doing numbers.
• 13:02
Speaker 1: Man, Every week Florida State's still doing numbers because of just the intense hatred or joy that they seem to instill in people.
• 13:12
Speaker 2: Well, people like to see people go down.
• 13:15
Speaker 2: It's kind of like ratings in radio stuff you know they want people love or hate.
• 13:21
Speaker 1: Hate actually works better well, I mean to a big part of the country.
• 13:24
Speaker 1: All, all, all of the schools here in florida are the bad guys.
• 13:27
Speaker 1: Yeah, it goes back to the catholics first right, they look at it.
• 13:32
Speaker 2: It's not those players were like in the nfl and model citizens.
• 13:36
Speaker 2: Some of them, it's just they were black dudes.
• 13:40
  Speaker 1: And it is.
• 13:41
Speaker 1: It gets back to.
• 13:43
Speaker 1: I mean, you go back far enough and it gets to be cultural.
• 13:46
Speaker 1: But well, florida teams have always been the bad guys in college sports.
• 13:53
Speaker 2: It's over, the settlement has been settled.
• 13:55
Speaker 2: It's over, the settlement has been settled.
• 13:59
Speaker 2: I would say ESPN was just probably like.
• 14:04
Speaker 1: They wanted to go away.
• 14:04
Speaker 1: Yeah, they wanted to go away.
• 14:07
Speaker 2: We're like just do it because we own both the leagues.
• 14:09
Speaker 2: We need Florida State and Clemson if we're going to do football in the ACC, if we're going to advertise for it.
• 14:18
Speaker 2: So we got to make this happen yeah and so we got to make them happy enough to and it will.
• 14:27
Speaker 1: It's definitely ruffled like the.
• 14:28
Speaker 1: You know we're, we're, it's going to piss off we're public enemy number one within the greensboro which is not a surprise to anybody.
• 14:36
Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's you know.
• 14:41
Speaker 1: But there are, you know, other ADs at the universities that are going to take a hit from this are.
• 14:43
Speaker 1: You know they're looking directly at us, but what else are you?
• 14:48
  Speaker 2: supposed to do?
• 14:49
Speaker 2: No, I mean, you're not trying to compete with them.
• 14:52
  Speaker 1: Exactly.
• 14:53
Speaker 2: You're trying to compete for the other teams that are making far more, that are paying and getting the players that you're trying to get.
• 14:59
Speaker 2: We've been discussing it the whole time Pay for players saying we need Florida State doesn't have the endowment and the money that some of these other schools have, like SMU that comes in, not even taking the media rights.
• 15:13
Speaker 1: They don't need it, it's Virginia.
• 15:16
Speaker 2: If we had that type of dollar rate, I don't think we would have sued.
• 15:19
Speaker 2: It would have been like, all right, we'll just move some numbers around and make it work.
• 15:25
Speaker 1: But I think it was needed, man between the money that Stanford, virginia and SMU the three of those schools could pretty much fund both Florida State and Clemson's athletic department.
• 15:42
Speaker 2: Well, that's interesting to see the basketball angle and the merger there you're talking about.
• 15:46
Speaker 2: I think it's not anything long term here.
• 15:50
Speaker 2: This is a short term deal that'll get us through the 2020s.
• 15:53
Speaker 2: We'll probably put it in the back burner for a few more seasons, until the late 2020s, and then they'll start heating up again.
• 16:03
Speaker 2: I mean Hold on, hold on.
• 16:10
Speaker 2: Ah, yeah, there you go.
• 16:13
Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean it'll heat up.
• 16:14
Speaker 1: You might see a school or two duck out of the ACC before that.
• 16:19
Speaker 2: If you had to guess who would be your first candidate?
• 16:22
Speaker 1: One of the schools that can't you know?
• 16:25
  Speaker 2: that can't.
• 16:25
  Speaker 2: I don't think it'll be Syracuse.
• 16:26
Speaker 2: No, they have a better year in football.
• 16:28
Speaker 1: I think it'll be a school like Wake or BC that can't compete in football.
• 16:33
Speaker 1: I don't know about BC Dude.
• 16:35
Speaker 1: The conference is the basketball.
• 16:39
Speaker 2: That might happen, though, but they still keep their football program.
• 16:45
  Speaker 1: Not BC or.
• 16:46
  Speaker 2: Syracuse.
• 16:46
Speaker 2: I think they have enough tradition.
• 16:51
Speaker 1: I'm not sure that they would drop football necessarily, as they would just do what UConn does and have football as an independent.
• 17:01
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 17:02
Speaker 1: And just be terrible, right, you know what guys we're just going to suck, right, we're not going to have a lot, and that's the boat that UConn is in right now.
• 17:11
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 17:11
Speaker 2: But, just yeah, a lot is going to change in the next decade, but look at UConn.
• 17:18
  Speaker 1: Look.
• 17:18
Speaker 1: What's paying their way, though, is basketball Right, and they very clearly have.
• 17:23
Speaker 1: That's benefited them that they've given up even trying to be.
• 17:27
Speaker 2: I don't think this is this really just this is a deal to kind of weather the storm that's still brewing and that it's still ultimately going to lead all the way to capital Washington.
• 17:41
Speaker 1: Probably eventually, eventually but just so much from Florida state's perspective.
• 17:45
Speaker 1: You look, when they started this they didn't even really know for sure what the number was.
• 17:50
  Speaker 1: I think that's where I said earlier is a win.
• 17:52
Speaker 1: So yeah, and now, not only do they know it, but they've taken the absurd number and got it reduced considerably and it'll just continue to drop.
• 18:01
Speaker 1: You know, from the other aspect of it, oh, Florida State doesn't get to leave for another.
• 18:08
  Speaker 1: You know what?
• 18:09
Speaker 1: Five, six years, All right, but hey man, Well, win the whole damn thing, you know.
• 18:14
Speaker 1: Yeah, whatever Six-win dream man it's over.
• 18:19
Speaker 2: I mean you wanted to get it out.
• 18:21
Speaker 2: You don't want that, Just have that in the background of the season last year.
• 18:27
  Speaker 1: It was there.
• 18:28
Speaker 1: Yeah, it just piled on top of the shit sandwich, man.
• 18:32
Speaker 2: I mean you didn't have a good team, but it made it so much worse.
• 18:35
Speaker 2: Everything was hovering over it.
• 18:37
  Speaker 2: You know it's.
• 18:38
Speaker 2: You needed this to be resolved, so it did it looked.
• 18:43
Speaker 1: It looked like a linear thing, like florida state, like you know, jordan travis gets hurt, florida state gets left out.
• 18:48
Speaker 1: Oh shit, now they're suing the acc.
• 18:51
Speaker 2: But like it's all related, but it was just been building without the like it's something that they had been like considering previously, before all that stuff happened that you just said right, the way it played out looks like that from someone who doesn't have knowledge of the thing just like a lot of things play out and if you don't know, if you're watching on espn you're thinking wow, they got pissed because they didn't get in the playoffs tried to sue their conference and didn't work.
• 19:17
Speaker 2: That's the part I don't like is that they own the playoff itself.
• 19:22
Speaker 2: They own the sport.
• 19:23
Speaker 2: I mean I would rather Fox have the playoff.
• 19:27
Speaker 2: Every other they should do it like the Super Bowl, you know, like just switch it off.
• 19:32
Speaker 2: I mean you have a network that has the Big Ten and the other big 10 conference, and so we need to have some sort of object.
• 19:43
Speaker 1: well, they need to have a commissioner that every year we're going to have you can only do it if you only have one league that's the thing is the nfl in and of itself is its own corporation, its own entity you know all these franchises do whatever they want and they belong to it, but they all adhere to the way it's done.
• 20:03
Speaker 1: And if you're gonna I mean that's literally if you're gonna pay these, these players, what they're getting paid, that's why you're gonna let it be free agency and open market and there's already state like governments involved right, so it's gonna.
• 20:18
Speaker 2: It's gonna be different state and it's gonna go.
• 20:19
  Speaker 2: It's gonna go.
• 20:19
Speaker 2: Right, so it's going to be different state and it's going to go to the Supreme Court.
• 20:22
Speaker 2: It's going to end up.
• 20:23
Speaker 1: You don't need athletic conferences anymore.
• 20:25
Speaker 1: What you need is just one solid football organization for colleges that oversees everything, and that's who they get the TV contract with.
• 20:36
Speaker 2: Well, like you were saying, it's going to come down to what are you competing for?
• 20:40
Speaker 2: And if this school is trying to win in this sport, they need to.
• 20:48
Speaker 1: It's going to be done by viewership man.
• 20:50
Speaker 1: It's going to be a cool kids club Teams that do not generate viewership and that they're not going to be invited to this new league.
• 20:58
Speaker 1: I don't know how long it'll take for them to figure out a way to make it happen, but it's going to be Giant leagues Right.
• 21:07
Speaker 2: Eventually they will come to the realization that you just need a big league.
• 21:14
Speaker 1: We don't really need to be wasting times on teams like Vanderbilt and Wake.
• 21:16
Speaker 2: Forest being on TV.
• 21:16
Speaker 2: Well yeah, they need to have some sort of commissioner over the sport.
• 21:20
Speaker 2: I don't want it to be Saban, though.
• 21:24
Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's a bad idea to have anybody ruling the sport.
• 21:27
Speaker 1: That's been in the sport.
• 21:28
Speaker 2: I would rather have him than nobody, because I do think he knows a lot about football.
• 21:35
Speaker 1: See, I don't want anybody that necessarily knows anything about football.
• 21:38
Speaker 1: I want somebody that knows about how to run something fairly and without corruption in it.
• 21:44
Speaker 2: Oh, so you're thinking of like a.
• 21:46
Speaker 1: Just somebody who's going to run it like a corporation man or a judge or something.
• 21:51
Speaker 1: Yeah, anybody that's got judge or something.
• 21:52
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 21:52
Speaker 1: Anybody that's got some kind of law background.
• 21:54
Speaker 1: I mean like, look dude, I know Roger Goodell sucks as a commissioner.
• 21:58
Speaker 1: I mean it depends on whose side?
• 21:59
Speaker 2: But you look at the commissioner of leagues.
• 22:01
Speaker 2: Very few of them have been coaches.
• 22:02
  Speaker 2: I don't think.
• 22:03
Speaker 2: If you would ask his bosses, which are the owners Right, I don't think they would say he sucks.
• 22:14
Speaker 2: No, he's making them record money and they pay him ridiculous salary.
• 22:15
Speaker 1: And it's not because he was any kind of football coach or football player or anything like that.
• 22:18
  Speaker 1: It's the shield.
• 22:19
Speaker 1: Yeah, he built it into a corporation.
• 22:22
Speaker 1: That's probably what you're going to want running college football if you want it to be like the NFL.
• 22:29
Speaker 1: But the problem lies with.
• 22:32
Speaker 2: With you get a guy like saving you, you have all right.
• 22:34
Speaker 2: We have schools like georgia.
• 22:36
Speaker 2: Why would they want to do that?
• 22:37
Speaker 2: Or why would penn state want to do that?
• 22:40
Speaker 2: Why would ohio state want to do that?
• 22:42
  Speaker 2: That's the problem.
• 22:43
Speaker 2: Why would florida want to do that?
• 22:44
Speaker 2: It becomes financially that that's what I'm saying they're going to fight it, they're just going to media fight it With this media restriction.
• 22:51
Speaker 1: It's going to be like dude.
• 22:52
Speaker 1: The only way that you can get all this coverage and all of this is because we own your media rights.
• 22:59
Speaker 1: There will be more money for everyone in the end, everything's going to have to just be one giant corporation.
• 23:05
Speaker 2: I just think it would be more competitive.
• 23:07
Speaker 2: It would be more fun to watch your schedule.
• 23:11
Speaker 2: I think you switch up the schedules and the entertainment you do the schedule release kind of like the nfl does, and you make it on a rotating schedule.
• 23:19
Speaker 2: You have divisions set up that are, you know, set up regionally yeah and based on teams that are committed to or set up in this new league.
• 23:30
Speaker 2: But we're getting way down the road here.
• 23:32
Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean until you.
• 23:33
Speaker 2: In the short term there's too many teams at this point, the settlement and the ACC will be the home for the Florida State Seminoles and the Clemson Tigers.
• 23:43
  Speaker 1: Yeah, so 2030.
• 23:45
Speaker 1: We'll be catching that old Jeff Flanagan for a few more years, man.
• 23:50
  Speaker 2: Yeah Well, baseball.
• 23:52
Speaker 2: They haven't lost a game yet.
• 23:54
  Speaker 2: They've not.
• 23:56
Speaker 1: What did they win?
• 23:56
Speaker 1: 19 straight last year to open the season.
• 23:58
Speaker 1: Yeah, One of the games they're supposed to win.
• 24:02
Speaker 2: They had a close game on Sunday was it.
• 24:04
Speaker 2: They're playing right now as a matter of fact.
• 24:05
Speaker 1: Yeah, sunday was a close game.
• 24:13
Speaker 2: Listen, I know, it's Georgetown but they're not a terrible team and it's baseball.
• 24:16
Speaker 2: What do you want to see is the, the development and the young players and you're seeing that and the players that you know in the positions that you lost last year yeah what's replacing those guys?
• 24:26
  Speaker 2: How's the team?
• 24:27
Speaker 2: You know, and it looks far I mean you're not going to replace the numbers Offensively Two big leaguers leave pretty much.
• 24:36
Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean you had think about what you lost from the top of your lineup.
• 24:40
Speaker 1: You had Ferrer, you had James Tibbs, you had Cam Smith, you had Dinges, you had Daniel Cantu.
• 24:48
Speaker 1: I mean that was a ton of power Right, and right now there's still a couple of guys, I think, that are trying to carry that, that are pressing, trying to be that this year, and that's not necessarily who they are yet.
• 25:08
Speaker 1: Lodis has started off really nice, though he's got four or five home runs already.
• 25:10
Speaker 1: And Miles Bailey, who had the game that was big, the eventual game-winning hit on Sunday.
• 25:16
Speaker 1: You can see, just from weekend to the next, like the adjustments he's already made hitting, he's laying off breaking balls better.
• 25:26
Speaker 1: He's still got a ways to go, man, I mean he's a raw prospect, but dude, his home run that he hit this weekend it was like off the end of the bat and it was still a moon shot.
• 25:38
Speaker 1: So the power is ridiculous, right, and the pitching has looked really good.
• 25:43
Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's what you need to do.
• 25:44
Speaker 2: You keep pitching, you develop, you keep growing the hitting and they can have timely hitting is sometimes even more clutch this early on.
• 25:53
Speaker 1: It looks like as good a rotation as they've had in in a while um had a big uh save in a midweek game, I believe yeah um so good to see playing playing jacksonville man.
• 26:06
Speaker 1: Those, those in-state teams like stetson and jackson are always a pain in the ass.
• 26:11
Speaker 2: But the bullpen came through, so good start to the season.
• 26:16
Speaker 2: Leonard Hamilton has a couple more shots to get his 200 ACC win on his final season.
• 26:23
Speaker 1: It's all about tonight, yeah.
• 26:25
Speaker 2: SMU is going to be.
• 26:26
Speaker 2: They're looking for a spot in the dance.
• 26:28
Speaker 2: That's going to be a tough matchup.
• 26:30
Speaker 2: Hopefully, though, there's an environment, I think, if you're a fan of FSU you owe it to yourself to get out there Saturday with a good attitude.
• 26:42
Speaker 2: Don't expect to win the game, but expect to support who has been a dynamite coach for this program.
• 26:52
Speaker 1: So, yeah, and this is his last home game, I mean, obviously the tournament, the ACC tournament, is going to be the last, yeah, but this is the time for the support in town North Florida, If you can come.
• 27:04
Speaker 1: This is it man.
• 27:05
Speaker 2: Get out there to the game, buy a ticket.
• 27:07
Speaker 2: I want to see a sellout crowd.
• 27:09
  Speaker 2: Why not?
• 27:11
  Speaker 1: Why not?
• 27:16
Speaker 2: It's his last game.
• 27:16
Speaker 2: You know he did shit.
• 27:17
Speaker 2: I mean, that place was electric about five years ago and you could feel it and I and I and there's nothing like it.
• 27:23
Speaker 2: That's home street they had it's yeah it can be one of the biggest, most intimidating places to play that place has never been like that in the history of the basketball program and he got it there to where I think jay billis said it this this was the toughest place to play he could think of at that moment.
• 27:41
Speaker 2: Yeah, and that was incredible to think that would ever be said at a place called florida state.
• 27:46
  Speaker 2: Basketball is incredible.
• 27:47
Speaker 2: Right after dunked a ball, anthony, I know and, uh, he's done it.
• 27:51
Speaker 2: He's done it the whole time with nothing but class.
• 27:54
Speaker 1: Uh, we need to send him off with a big it's a big crowd, a lot of energy, um, and hopefully he'll get that win tonight yeah, it'd be nice for him to go ahead and get it so he can just give old infield a hug and skip on out of there.
• 28:11
Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I'm serious about teaching him how to play guitar.
• 28:18
Speaker 2: You got to get on out of here.
• 28:19
Speaker 2: I'll ride your butt before we go.
• 28:24
Speaker 1: Yeah, he's going to play guitar and piano now.
• 28:27
Speaker 1: I can't help him with piano.
• 28:29
Speaker 2: Yeah, well, he had the Oscars this past Sunday.
• 28:33
