  Speaker 1: Well, here we go today. I want to share something

  Speaker 1: with you that will help you because it's helped me.

  Speaker 1: Telling the story once that in this magazine called Rob Report,

  Speaker 1: that there was a statue I used to see for years.

  Speaker 1: I started buying Rob Report magazines years ago. So I

  Speaker 1: just wanted to see what affluent people did, you know,
• 0:44
  Speaker 1: just wanted to see what people with means did, what
• 0:48
  Speaker 1: type of investments they did, what they bought, you know,
• 0:51
  Speaker 1: where they traveled. To the Rob Report it's just like
• 0:54
  Speaker 1: a it's like a big boy toy magazine. You can

  Speaker 1: see what cars is out. I didn't have money for
• 1:00
  Speaker 1: none of it. Just I was dreaming, though, you know,
• 1:03
  Speaker 1: I just wanted to see. And there was a statue
• 1:08
  Speaker 1: inside this magazine of this man who was coming out
• 1:13
  Speaker 1: of this bronze rock. And he was completely bronzed and
• 1:16
  Speaker 1: he was muscular, and you know, he didn't look nothing
• 1:21
  Speaker 1: like me, but he was a man coming up out
• 1:22
  Speaker 1: of a rock and he had a huge hammer and
• 1:25
  Speaker 1: a chisel in his hand, and as his body from
• 1:29
  Speaker 1: the waist up was coming out of this huge piece
• 1:31
  Speaker 1: of stone, you could see where it was him who
• 1:34
  Speaker 1: had been chiseling informing himself. So the name of the
• 1:37
  Speaker 1: statue was self made man. And for years man, I said, Man,
• 1:42
  Speaker 1: I'm gonna get a big house one day, and I'm
• 1:44
  Speaker 1: gonna put that statue in the backyard in the corner.
• 1:47
  Speaker 1: That's gonna be my little spot where I go chill,
• 1:51
  Speaker 1: because I'm a self made man. Well, after years of
• 1:55
  Speaker 1: working at becoming somebody, having reached a degree of success,
• 2:05
  Speaker 1: I would have nothing to do with that statue. There's
• 2:08
  Speaker 1: nothing about that statue that appeals to me anymore. Because
• 2:13
  Speaker 1: on my journey and in my quest to become what
• 2:16
  Speaker 1: I thought would be this self made man, where I
• 2:20
  Speaker 1: could put this statue and had this statue in the
• 2:22
  Speaker 1: corner be kind of cold symbolizing it, I had made it.

  Speaker 1: I realized on my journey there's no such thing as
• 2:30
  Speaker 1: a self made man. That we all need help, and
• 2:33
  Speaker 1: that God places people in our paths along the way
• 2:39
  Speaker 1: that benefit us oftentimes, and it's the most unlikely person
• 2:43
  Speaker 1: often times, and it's the most unlikely way that he
• 2:47
  Speaker 1: presents these people in front of you. It's crazy how
• 2:49
  Speaker 1: he does it.
• 2:50
  Speaker 2: Man.
• 2:51
  Speaker 1: And so this is a statue now that I look
• 2:54
  Speaker 1: at and I go, I see what the creator was saying,
• 2:57
  Speaker 1: and that's cool, but not me because I needed help
• 3:03
  Speaker 1: and I've learned a lot of things like this along
• 3:06
  Speaker 1: the way.
• 3:07
  Speaker 2: And the part I.
• 3:08
  Speaker 1: Wanted to share with you all about this is you've
• 3:11
  Speaker 1: got to develop. You've got to develop a sense of purpose.
• 3:17
  Speaker 1: You have to develop a sense of purpose. That's different. See,
• 3:22
  Speaker 1: your purpose is created for you by God. Because when
• 3:30
  Speaker 1: He created you as an individual from whatever two parents
• 3:33
  Speaker 1: you may have, that's not important here. When he created you,
• 3:38
  Speaker 1: he had something in mind for you, and it was
• 3:42
  Speaker 1: a purpose. God has not created a single soul to
• 3:45
  Speaker 1: become a criminal. God has never created a single soul
• 3:50
  Speaker 1: to be a drug dealer. This came about through some
• 3:53
  Speaker 1: decisions we made as sinners, and we stayed in that place.
• 3:59
  Speaker 1: But see what He created us. He has a wonderful
• 4:03
  Speaker 1: idea for us. But God gives us human beings this
• 4:07
  Speaker 1: thing called choice, and we have the power to decide.
• 4:10
  Speaker 1: So you could decide if you're going to adhere to
• 4:13
  Speaker 1: the purpose that God created you and made you for
• 4:16
  Speaker 1: or you can go ahead and make some choices on
• 4:19
  Speaker 1: your own. So like, if God wanted to give you
• 4:22
  Speaker 1: a life and give it to come to you and
• 4:23
  Speaker 1: give you life more abundantly, and that's his promise. If
• 4:26
  Speaker 1: you come to him, if you choose him, then cool.
• 4:30
  Speaker 1: But if you say, well this ain't moving along fast enough,
• 4:34
  Speaker 1: I'm gonna get my own life of abundance, I'm gonna
• 4:36
  Speaker 1: start slinging. Well, guess what now, Tada, You've made a
• 4:41
  Speaker 1: decision and seek God's decisions and choices. The one thing
• 4:45
  Speaker 1: I learned about them, God's decisions, choices, his voice, it
• 4:49
  Speaker 1: has no sin in it. And it amazing how many
• 4:51
  Speaker 1: people it came up to you and said, the Lord
• 4:54
  Speaker 1: wanted me to do this to you, and I'm doing it.
• 4:56
  Speaker 1: That God is punishing you, and I'm doing this to
• 4:58
  Speaker 1: you because God gonna see that you get your day.

  Speaker 2: Who is this person?
• 5:03
  Speaker 1: Who is this person that God all of a sudden
• 5:06
  Speaker 1: gave this authority and power to God didn't get at
• 5:09
  Speaker 1: the nobody, man, nobody, this person don't have the right
• 5:13
  Speaker 1: to hold you to your past, the right to make
• 5:16
  Speaker 1: you pay. So who makes them pay when they make
• 5:19
  Speaker 1: mistakes because they all make them. So when I say
• 5:23
  Speaker 1: you have to have a sense of you have to
• 5:25
  Speaker 1: develop a strong sense of purpose, that means you have
• 5:28
  Speaker 1: to strongly get in touch with your creator to find
• 5:31
  Speaker 1: out what the purpose you were created for. See, it's
• 5:35
  Speaker 1: two things that I had to learn along the way.
• 5:38
  Speaker 1: My career was what I was paid for. My calling
• 5:43
  Speaker 1: is what I was made for. See, it's two different things, folks.

  Speaker 1: It took me a long time to learn it. Some
• 5:50
  Speaker 1: people think that they calling is to be a performer. Well,
• 5:55
  Speaker 1: that's what you're paid for, and a big part of
• 5:57
  Speaker 1: your life is your performance.
• 5:59
  Speaker 2: It's tied to directly to your gift.

  Speaker 1: But what you made for, though, what you made for
• 6:05
  Speaker 1: is to bring about some significant change in another human
• 6:08
  Speaker 1: beings lives because we are all linked together in this chain.

  Speaker 2: That's what you are here for.

  Speaker 1: Everybody has a purpose to do something wonderful, meaningful, or
• 6:20
  Speaker 1: impactful for another person. You think the God that invented
• 6:24
  Speaker 1: the airplane was merely inventing the airplane so he could fly. Now,
• 6:30
  Speaker 1: his purpose was to become an inventor, to come up
• 6:33
  Speaker 1: with this invention.
• 6:34
  Speaker 2: So he could fly and we all fly.

  Speaker 1: See, sometimes God will make you successful, so you can
• 6:41
  Speaker 1: become successful, so you can turn around to teach other
• 6:43
  Speaker 1: people how to become successful. God save people, so you
• 6:47
  Speaker 1: can turn around it tell other people how wonderful it
• 6:50
  Speaker 1: is to be saved. You see how this thing work.

  Speaker 1: That's what we have to do as people. And it's
• 6:56
  Speaker 1: nothing that we have to go and discover. We have
• 6:59
  Speaker 1: to go and develop it. But if you haven't discovered
• 7:01
  Speaker 1: your purpose, it's simply because here's it. If you haven't
• 7:05
  Speaker 1: discovered your purpose, it's simply because you have not contacted
• 7:11
  Speaker 1: the creator and maker of your soul to ask and
• 7:16
  Speaker 1: find out why.

  Speaker 2: You were created. It's as simple as that.

  Speaker 1: If you buy a Toyota, there's an owner's manual on

  Speaker 1: the inside that will tell you everything you know, how

  Speaker 1: to best operate your toyota, how to make it work,

  Speaker 2: They got a troubleshooting section.

  Speaker 1: Your faith is the same thing as an owner's manual

  Speaker 1: in your car. Open up that book, man, find out

  Speaker 1: how to jumpstart your life, how to troubleshoot it and

  Speaker 1: get on with your life and find out your purpose
• 7:55
  Speaker 1: and develop a strong sense of purpose.
