- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, here we are last breakup the day. It's
- 0:02Speaker 1: been a good day on this Thursday. All Right, we're
- 0:05Speaker 1: gonna switch gears here and Steve Harvey's gonna give us
- 0:08Speaker 1: some closing remarks.
- 0:10Speaker 2: You know something I think I want to share something
- 0:13Speaker 2: along the lines of you know, I was telling you
- 0:15Speaker 2: I started doing this meditation every morning, and I really
- 0:19Speaker 2: can't tell you, man, it's really really helped me a
- 0:21Speaker 2: great deal because it's giving me a level of peace
- 0:26Speaker 2: that I've never really understood before. And it's just been
- 0:30Speaker 2: every morning as I go in prayer. But I read
- 0:34Speaker 2: these little daily motivational things, and I was reading the
- 0:39Speaker 2: other day and it was teaching me this thing, this
- 0:43Speaker 2: aspect of worry that I think a lot of people
- 0:46Speaker 2: are experiencing, and I wanted to share it with you.
- 0:50Speaker 2: It was talking about what He really wants us to
- 0:57Speaker 2: do is give up your striving to keep everything under control,
- 1:03Speaker 2: which is actually an impossible task. And what's furthermore, it
- 1:08Speaker 2: is actually a waste of precious energy. Because what I've
- 1:13Speaker 2: been learning, right is God's guidance for each one of us.
- 1:17Speaker 2: That God's guide that God guides is very unique to
- 1:23Speaker 2: each one of us. That's why listening to God is
- 1:27Speaker 2: so really vital to your well being, because what God
- 1:32Speaker 2: really wants to do, and what I've been learning is
- 1:34Speaker 2: he just really wants to prepare us for the day
- 1:37Speaker 2: that awaits us, and he really wants us to give
- 1:40Speaker 2: us direction and point us in the right direction for
- 1:43Speaker 2: today's events. And even though fear follows you around throughout
- 1:47Speaker 2: the day, it kind of stalks you, you know what
- 1:49Speaker 2: I mean, because there are so many opportunities to not
- 1:55Speaker 2: be conscious of God's presence that you have to understand
- 1:59Speaker 2: that even though all these opportunities around you, that it
- 2:03Speaker 2: can't really do you no harm as long as you
- 2:05Speaker 2: hold on. You remember how you old people say hold
- 2:07Speaker 2: on to God's unchange in hand, that if you do
- 2:10Speaker 2: that and you keep your eyes on Him, then you
- 2:14Speaker 2: get to enjoy this peace. And it's peace I've found
- 2:17Speaker 2: because I've stopped worrying so much about the things that
- 2:21Speaker 2: I don't have control over, and one of the big
- 2:25Speaker 2: things is your future. You can't control your future. Now. Look,
- 2:30Speaker 2: that's not to say you're not supposed to plan and
- 2:34Speaker 2: hope and have prayer about stuff, But praying about stuff
- 2:39Speaker 2: don't necessarily mean worry. Matter of fact, it don't mean worry,
- 2:44Speaker 2: So you know, you gotta you gotta pay attention to that.
- 2:49Speaker 2: I've had to get even better at mastering time. And
- 2:55Speaker 2: what I've learned about this is that all of us
- 2:57Speaker 2: were really really built in twenty for our segments. But
- 3:02Speaker 2: time man is like a tyrant. Sometimes it just takes
- 3:05Speaker 2: away at us in our mind. And you got to
- 3:08Speaker 2: learn how to master it. And even though we're all
- 3:11Speaker 2: bound by some form of time in our life, how
- 3:14Speaker 2: we always conscious of time. You gotta be still. You
- 3:19Speaker 2: gotta get out of the mad rush, y'all. You gotta
- 3:22Speaker 2: focus on God. I like it in the morning because
- 3:25Speaker 2: it helps me start my day. You gotta get out
- 3:28Speaker 2: the mad rush. You gotta focus. You gotta get laser
- 3:32Speaker 2: beam focused in the mornings. Its great for me because
- 3:35Speaker 2: it helps me balance my whole day. And I just focus.
- 3:38Speaker 2: I just sit with him. I just talk to him
- 3:40Speaker 2: about the stuff that I have concerns about. I talk
- 3:43Speaker 2: to him about stuff that I'm hoping to accomplish, and
- 3:46Speaker 2: then at the same time, I leave it open to
- 3:48Speaker 2: wherever he's trying to take me for that day. I
- 3:52Speaker 2: talk to him about things I'm trying to make decisions on.
- 3:56Speaker 2: I ask him to always guide me and leave me
- 3:58Speaker 2: in the right direction, and it has been helping me
- 4:01Speaker 2: out tremendously. Man, It's just something I do in the morning. Look,
- 4:05Speaker 2: you don't have a radio show like me, so you
- 4:07Speaker 2: ain't got to tell a lot of people you're doing
- 4:10Speaker 2: You don't have to tell a lot of people that
- 4:11Speaker 2: you're doing it. But the reason I'm doing it is
- 4:14Speaker 2: because I really do try to encourage other people and
- 4:16Speaker 2: get you to have something that you can put into
- 4:20Speaker 2: your day to day and maybe it can help you.
- 4:23Speaker 2: And that's why I always like to use myself as
- 4:25Speaker 2: an example when I'm giving these motivational moments of stuff
- 4:29Speaker 2: that I'm doing that I've actually finding out through my
- 4:32Speaker 2: own trial period that really does work for me. And
- 4:36Speaker 2: starting my money off by meditating has really made a
- 4:39Speaker 2: huge difference in me. It's giving me a really really
- 4:41Speaker 2: calming amount of peace. But I'm just employing everybody to
- 4:46Speaker 2: form some type of relationship with your creator. Man, It'll
- 4:50Speaker 2: just help you out immenseally. It really really will, because
- 4:53Speaker 2: God who made you would love to have some form
- 4:56Speaker 2: of relationship with you. Now, he's a gentleman. He's not
- 4:59Speaker 2: going to hisself on you. So he does want to
- 5:02Speaker 2: be invited in because it gives us all the power
- 5:05Speaker 2: of choice. But once you invite me in, it's a
- 5:07Speaker 2: very calming effect in your life. You should try it
- 5:10Speaker 2: if you have it. The cool thing about it is
- 5:13Speaker 2: you don't need permission, And the even cooler thing about
- 5:17Speaker 2: it is no certain way that you have to do it.
- 5:19Speaker 2: You can develop a meditation that works for you. You know
- 5:23Speaker 2: what I mean. I like to read. I like to
- 5:27Speaker 2: I got a list of stuff that I make sure
- 5:28Speaker 2: I thank him for every day. My family, my health,
- 5:31Speaker 2: my grandchildren's health, or my hopes and dreams of my kids.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Make me a light, show me how to be a
- 5:39Speaker 2: better example. And then I got a lot of stuff
- 5:42Speaker 2: in there that I want. I got some material things,
- 5:45Speaker 2: some spiritual things that I want. I go over those lists,
- 5:48Speaker 2: and once I read those lists and meditate on them,
- 5:51Speaker 2: and you know, put up my form of prayer. That's
- 5:56Speaker 2: how I start my day. Man, And I think, Man,
- 5:59Speaker 2: I wish i'd have done this long time ago, to
- 6:01Speaker 2: be honest with you, a long long time ago. But
- 6:05Speaker 2: you ain't never too late. So here I am and
- 6:07Speaker 2: you can too. Those are my remarks for today.
- 6:11Speaker 1: That's it.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Y'all have a great day today. Talk to God today.
- 6:14Speaker 2: He'd absolutely love to hear from it.
