- 0:12change. I've spoken several times about
- 0:15weak leadership. Now the need, the necessity for
- 0:20for good leadership, for strong leadership.
- 0:23Leadership that stands on, I believe, on biblical principles.
- 0:28Leadership that well, if you are a leader, you will have a sense
- 0:34of purpose. You will have your direction
- 0:38where your moral compass will take you and you will be able to
- 0:44to lead people. You'll know.
- 0:45You'll know what you stand for and you won't be afraid to To
- 0:48stand up and proclaim this is what I stand for.
- 0:51This is who I am. And you know, I I cannot just.
- 0:57Not just say this is who I am and this is what I stand for,
- 1:00but I can back it up and I can explain it to you and I can
- 1:05explain why I believe this is the way this is the right way.
- 1:10A good leader isn't just doesn't just manage situations here in
- 1:16Australia at the moment. I think it's worldwide, really.
- 1:19It's a it's a global crisis of sorts when it comes to
- 1:23leadership. You know, we we have all these
- 1:26woke leaders, these people from the the left side of politics,
- 1:30the extreme left, the far left, then they're not good leaders at
- 1:34all. They've just, you know, they
- 1:36have very weak moral positionings.
- 1:39They, they don't really understand what they're standing
- 1:42for, OK? They they will fly the flag and
- 1:47say, you know, this is, this is our morals, this, these are our
- 1:51principles, but. Their morals and their
- 1:54principles are very weak. They have built on, they're
- 1:58built on sand in reality and they can't explain it.
- 2:01A lot of it's just, well, this is how I feel.
- 2:03This is the emotion of it all. A good leader will know and
- 2:07we'll be able to explain it, not just say well, just just trust
- 2:11me. This is this is my emotional
- 2:13feeling. This is how I am today.
- 2:17You need to be able to explain, explain yourself and explain
- 2:20your position. Put a good argument forward.
- 2:23And not be afraid of confrontational or debate.
- 2:28Not be afraid to defend yourself in your position and be able to
- 2:33defend it. And and also a good leader I
- 2:35think can and should be able to accept that OK, there's some
- 2:40positions maybe I need to change.
- 2:42Maybe I need to rethink. Don't be so big headed as say no
- 2:47this is it. I I will not change direction.
- 2:50I will not change my stance no matter what.
- 2:54Anyway, so this is I think just yet and again another example of
- 2:58very poor leadership that we have especially in in in in
- 3:04Australian politics at the moment.
- 3:05I think the Greens especially a they're they're a very good
- 3:10example of very poor very poor leadership.
- 3:14They don't they don't really stand for anything.
- 3:16They stand for nothing. They fall for anything.
- 3:20This is what happens when you have very.
- 3:22Every weak moral positionings in life and, you know, you just
- 3:27blowing around, blowing about by the wind.
- 3:29In reality, yeah, you know, you like you like the wheat just
- 3:34flailing around us depending on which way the wind blows just in
- 3:38grass. But you know, obviously this
- 3:42week we've seen the war break out in in Israel now.
- 3:47Oh, I'll stay straight up. I stand for Israel.
- 3:50I'm not going to fly. Picture on my Instagram or
- 3:54whatever, I I just stand for Israel.
- 3:56I can debate it. I can tell you why.
- 4:00And I'm. I'm not afraid to announce it,
- 4:02to say it. But these, these people who
- 4:04would stand up and and defend, defend the this act of terrorism
- 4:11where you've had civilians, civilians attacked and just
- 4:16literally butchered women, children butchered.
- 4:20And then they stand up and say, Oh yeah, butts, yeah, butts.
- 4:23Look at look at what the Palestinian people, you know,
- 4:25they they have the right to defend themselves.
- 4:27And I would say, yeah, anyone has the right to defend
- 4:29themselves. But do you just go out and
- 4:31attack innocent people? Do you just go out and attack
- 4:35civilians, just arbitrarily attack people when you're not
- 4:42under attack yourself when you're living in a situation
- 4:46that hey? You mightn't agree with that.
- 4:47You mightn't like that. You mightn't enjoy, enjoy and
- 4:50that people are trying to, you know, debate the pros and cons
- 4:53and how things should be settled.
- 4:55And you're trying to some come, come to some kind of some form
- 4:59of compromise. But but no.
- 5:01Instead of behaving like adults and instead of coming and
- 5:06saying, well, this is what we want, this is what you agree
- 5:08with. This is finding some middle
- 5:11ground and maybe admitting where you're wrong.
- 5:15Getting all the parties to meet. We were wrong.
- 5:17No, no, We'll just go out and and and plan and attack.
- 5:21Not on military people. Not on military bases.
- 5:24Not on, not on people who could actually defend themselves.
- 5:27We'll just go out and butcher women, children, defenseless
- 5:33people. People who are out there just
- 5:35enjoying themselves in normal life.
- 5:37Not arms, not not looking for a fight.
- 5:40I would scout and butcher them, Take them.
- 5:43Kidnap them. Hold them hostage.
- 5:45Butcher children. Some of the things that I've
- 5:50heard that have happened, you you, you've got to wonder what
- 5:52kind of mindset. And then you have people, even
- 5:54people here in Australia, getting up and rejoicing over
- 5:57these things. The that that if you live in
- 6:01Australia and you think it is right to rejoice in the
- 6:05butchering of children, you need to pull your head and you need
- 6:10to go back. If that's what you want to do,
- 6:12go back to your thinking little. Third World piece of desert,
- 6:19Anyway, got that off my chest. Going back to leadership.
- 6:25The Greens, Yes, again. And it's not just the Greens,
- 6:29but predominantly the Greens. Yet again, a great example of
- 6:33extremely poor leadership. This is how you don't behave.
- 6:37Let's just, let's just watch this video together.
- 6:39This is just from Sky News. Yeah and you know these these
- 6:48councillors, I don't understand council councillors.
- 6:50In my in my mind in Australia, councillors have they receive
- 6:54way too much of the limelight. They get way too much publicity.
- 6:58Councillors think a lot, think far more of themselves than what
- 7:02they really should. It's your job to run the council
- 7:07anyway. We'll we'll check this out.
- 7:09Have a listen to this and let me know what you think about all
- 7:12this. I.
- 7:14Weakness Speaking of this rampant weakness, 2 Greens
- 7:19councillors and a residents first councillor with the
- 7:22Willara Council in Sydney's E, which is home to a large Jewish
- 7:26population, walked out on a vote condemning Hamas.
- 7:31Liberal councillor Mary Lou Jarvis joins me now with the
- 7:34details. Thanks for joining us, Mary Lou,
- 7:36Tell us about this motion and what occurred in the council
- 7:40chambers. Was this today or last night?
- 7:44Chris this was last night. It was actually, ironically at
- 7:48the very time that people were leaving to March from Sydney
- 7:51Town Hall down to the Opera House, where, as we know, the
- 7:54Israeli flag was displayed. We obviously didn't know any of
- 7:57that until after the meeting. So our newly elected mayor
- 8:00Richard Shields had at the start of the meeting and mayoral
- 8:04minute condemning. Yeah, so like I said, you know
- 8:09that they were talking about this.
- 8:11Displaying the flag on the Opera House and these protesters come
- 8:15and, you know, rejoicing over the fact that women and children
- 8:17are just butchered, butchered and then rejoicing over it and
- 8:22and putting up some kind of defense there.
- 8:25There is no defense for that kind of thing anyway.
- 8:27Keep. Being the unprecedented attack
- 8:29by Hamas on the Israeli people, we had passed that or we'd all
- 8:35spoken to that, seconded it and. There were no or several people
- 8:41were missing from the council. Later, at the end of the
- 8:44meeting, Richard realized that we actually hadn't put it to a
- 8:47vote, so he put it to a vote. So this is sort of three hours
- 8:51after the meeting started and to our surprise, 3 councillors got
- 8:56up and left the room. However, you know, we were
- 9:00unanimous. All the people that were in the
- 9:01room voted to. As I say, condemn the
- 9:04unprecedented attack and offer our support to all the Jewish
- 9:08people in our community, of which there's many.
- 9:11Chris, you know we have a community that's strongly
- 9:15linked. These are our family and our
- 9:17friends and regrettably a lot of our family and friends here have
- 9:22family and friends in Israel that have been subjected to
- 9:24these horrific attacks in a democratic company.
- 9:29I mean country. Imagine.
- 9:31If that sort of thing happened to us here in Australia and
- 9:34obviously our hearts go out to all those people that are
- 9:36affected. Indeed.
- 9:37Now, Mary Lou Jarvis, this motion was condemning the
- 9:41terrorist atrocities and supporting the people of Israel
- 9:44through this terrible time. There's nothing political about
- 9:49that in terms of where you stand on the Palestinian issue in
- 9:52Israel. What?
- 9:53Why? Why do you think?
- 9:54Have you had any explanation as to why these Greens councillors?
- 9:57Walked out. I mean, how could any human
- 9:59being not support such a much such emotion?
- 10:05Well, Chris, you'd have to ask them that.
- 10:06I can't. It's pretty obvious how you
- 10:10can't support this emotion, this motion, because you're not a
- 10:14real leader, for one, and because you're just supporting
- 10:20terrorism and because you've got no.
- 10:26No principles. No real principles.
- 10:28OK? You, you.
- 10:29I can't keep going. Keep going.
- 10:32Speak for them. All I can speak for is the
- 10:34people that are in the room. That said, and it wasn't just
- 10:38for the people of Israel, it's the the people in our community,
- 10:40as I say, our family and friends who have been impacted and been.
- 10:45These three. These are the three that walked
- 10:47out. The three.
- 10:49The three with no spine. Counselor.
- 10:52Nicola Grieve. Counselor Matthew Robertson.
- 10:57Councillor Harriet Price No spine whatsoever.
- 11:03Well, no principles anyway. Yeah.
- 11:08They're basically just condoning the butchering of babies because
- 11:12that's what happened. To deal with this extraordinary
- 11:16worry, these horrific attacks and how it impacts on their
- 11:19family and friends in Israel, I mean, for example, the mayors.
- 11:22Nephew is in Israel at the moment, as a lot of these young
- 11:26boys do, or and girls, as their rite of passage.
- 11:29They go on their gap year and they go to a kibbutz.
- 11:32And the tragedy, of course, of those videos that we've seen
- 11:35young people dancing and all of a sudden running for their
- 11:39lives, I mean, it's just heartbreaking.
- 11:42It is heartbreaking and it just destroys our sense of humanity.
- 11:46We just had a picture of those. Three councillors up on screen.
- 11:49I just wanted you're very clear in your mind.
- 11:51There have been media, media reports suggesting this, of
- 11:54course, but you're very clear in your mind that they got up and
- 11:56left the room because they did not want to vote on in support
- 11:59of this motion. Well, all I can say, Chris, is
- 12:04they certainly got up and left the room.
- 12:06I'd let everybody draw their own conclusions as to they were not
- 12:09there for the vote. I think that.
- 12:12Yeah, just unprincipled. And I can't, I can't say
- 12:20anything more. I'll probably get out of
- 12:22control. But this is what happens when
- 12:25you when you have poor leadership, OK.
- 12:27We keep voting these clowns in and then wondering why a country
- 12:34is is decaying. We're we're allowing it to decay
- 12:37from the inside now. One thing about this, this vote
- 12:42in the way these, these councillors did, what they did,
- 12:47I think that although people around the world, nations around
- 12:52the world such as America and such as Australia, all sitting
- 12:55there saying, you know, we stand with Israel and they're
- 12:57condemning, they're condemning these terrorist terrorism
- 13:03attacks, I believe it won't take long before the sentiment.
- 13:09Worldwide changes when Israel stands up and does what it needs
- 13:14to do, OK, and it starts and it and it fights back, trying to
- 13:22drill out, trying to take back this well, trying to take back
- 13:29its citizens and trying to bring law and order into the Gaza
- 13:34Strip. Trying to demolish, trying to
- 13:36take down Hamas. Yeah.
- 13:40The the problem is the borders being shut.
- 13:43The borders being shut and and Egypt isn't accepting people
- 13:50from the guard from from Gaza and yet they've turned the
- 13:54argument around. They turned the the narrative
- 13:56around and and tried to blame. Well, you can see the narratives
- 14:00being turned around and the blames being shifted to Israel.
- 14:02And how dare they, you know, continue with this defensive.
- 14:07You know, they're just attacking innocent, innocent people trying
- 14:12to trying to get revenge. They're doing what they have to
- 14:15do to defend their nation, which any nation would be allowed to
- 14:19do except Israel. Israel is the one nation in the
- 14:22world that is not allowed to defend its people according to
- 14:26the rest of the rest of the world.
- 14:29I believe what these what these councillors have done.
- 14:33Is what is eventually going to come out in a couple of weeks.
- 14:36It's not going to take long I don't think before the rest of
- 14:39the world before the narrative changes and you're going to see
- 14:42the the you're going to see the rest of the world start to turn,
- 14:47turn its back on Israel because they're not going to like
- 14:51they're not going to what They're not going to agree with
- 14:53the the stance that Israel needs to take.
- 14:56I also think that we are actually in the middle or at the
- 15:00start, I don't know. Not at the start I suppose, but
- 15:03I think we're, I think we're actually in World War 3 and I'm
- 15:07going to do a video about that later on.
- 15:10But let me know what you think. What do you think is going to
- 15:12happen with Israel? How do you think that the rest
- 15:14of the world, do you think nations like Australia, the UK,
- 15:17America, do you think they're going to continue to support and
- 15:20encourage Israel? Or do you think they're just
- 15:22going to turn their backs and say, hey, you know, start to
- 15:25mellow things down and continue to push for this two state
- 15:28solution? You know, the the narrative will
- 15:31change and oh, no, no, no. It's the poor Palestinians now.
- 15:34Oh no, You can't keep attacking Hamas.
- 15:37Can't keep defending your country.
- 15:39Let me know what you think. I think things are going to
- 15:41change and everyone's going to start turning their back on
- 15:45Israel. I don't think it's right.
- 15:47Don't think you should do it. Don't think it's a good thing to
- 15:50do. But I think this is what will
- 15:53happen. That's my opinion.
- 15:55Let me know what you think. Thanks for listening to the
- 15:57slippery, slippery slope. They just feel
