- 0:33way for sure here on July twenty fourth, two twenty three. Boy,
- 0:38the NFL season is going to be here before we know it. I am
- 0:41getting absolutely pumped, of course for the Philadelphia Eagles, but just to have
- 0:44football on my television screen. Looking forward to go into some college games this
- 0:50year. I'm not sure about any pro games at this particular point, but
- 0:53ban football season is going to be here before we know it. Training camps
- 0:57are right around the corner. Some camps have already started. We've got a
- 1:00great discussion, let's get to it. Lots of football talk coming your way
- 1:03and joining us this week here, and it's great to have him back on
- 1:07the show. I love talking to him, not only about the Kansas City
- 1:10Chiefs, but about the football world in general. Again, as this NFL
- 1:14season is right around the corner, we have from Arrowhead Pride dot Com.
- 1:18You can fall him on Twitter at Ron Underscore cop Kopp. He is a
- 1:23great, great follow and he's a great, great guy. We've got the
- 1:26one and only Ron Cop Junior. How are you doing, buddy, Jeff,
- 1:29appreciate you having me on again. I love coming on because, like
- 1:32you said, I love just talking football, all sorts of NFL. I
- 1:34don't I don't need to just talk Chiefs. I can talk anything, and
- 1:38and you bring you bring the good questions, so I can't wait. I'm
- 1:42I'm ready. I'm in football mode, man, I'm ready. Well yeah,
- 1:44absolutely, thanks for those compliments, very much appreciate it. But I
- 1:47know that Chief's training camp has already started. You've been there. I mean
- 1:51the excitements in the air for this season, my man. Yes, no,
- 1:53yeah, we're already up in Saint Joe getting out of We already have
- 1:57an injury. We already got Kadarius Tony, you guys are a little familiar
- 2:00with. We already got him going down. So it's it's not training camp
- 2:04until until a key player has a little injury, which you know, Tony,
- 2:07we probably could have probably could have guessed no offense to him. But
- 2:10yeah, I mean we're gonna know it's it's it's that time, absolutely,
- 2:14and where we may be getting to him a little bit more because I do
- 2:16want to talk to you within our discussion about the Kansas City Chiefs the wide
- 2:21receiver position, what that's gonna look like. But I mean, I guess,
- 2:23first and foremost just kind of a more overall NFL football perspective here with
- 2:30you know, training camp just about a week away for a lot of NFL
- 2:32teams, including Philadelphia Eagles. A bunch of teams haven't reported yet. I
- 2:38mean, there's so many storylines ron heading into this NFL season that I know
- 2:42I'm gonna be following. You're gonna be following. NFL fans in general are
- 2:45gonna be following for you, like, what is the biggest storyline of this
- 2:49upcoming season that you're going to be following? And why? The thing I
- 2:53keep thinking about this NFL season is how everyone loves to talk about how much
- 2:59of a difference there is in the strength of each conference, right the AFC
- 3:02and the NFC. You hear that the AFC has all the quarterbacks right now,
- 3:07all the kind of you know, the the head coach quarterback combos,
- 3:10you know, the ascending quarterbacks, but also some of the you know,
- 3:13ones that have established themselves by now. You know, if you look at
- 3:15the top. You know, I kind of have my personal power inkings up
- 3:19because at AP we like to we kind of like to do a weekly power
- 3:21inkings what the season gets going, and man, you know, I see
- 3:24the Eagles at I have the Eagles at number two, Chiefs at number one,
- 3:28and then the next five teams are in the AFC. And so to
- 3:30me, to me, it's the storyline here is is that actually gonna come
- 3:35to fruition? Are we gonna get to the season and the AFC is just
- 3:38gonna be beating each other up. Everyone's you know, gonna have you know,
- 3:40good records, but maybe not great records because they're playing each other.
- 3:45And we're gonna see the Eagles just just just walk through the NFC because the
- 3:49other the NFC contenders that I have closest to them are teams like the Cowboys,
- 3:53the Niners, the Lions, you know, maybe the Seahawks, the
- 3:57Vikings. Obviously we're a team last year that had a good records. None
- 4:00of those teams give you, you know, a super great feeling in your
- 4:03stomach about going on a run. You know, the Cowboys, you know,
- 4:05they have a stigma about them, and you know, I'm really curious
- 4:09to see how they look without Kellen Moore running the shot, calling the shots.
- 4:13I mean the Niners. I want to I want to say, look,
- 4:15they look like an elite team, but when you don't have the quarterback
- 4:17position figured out, it's hard for me to really pencil in as a as
- 4:20a you know, one of the elite teams in the NFL. And then
- 4:24just the Lions and Seahawks and Vikings. You know, they're teams that are
- 4:27you know, they're gonna be competitive, right They're gonna give every team they
- 4:30play a good shot. But are they true you know contenders? Are they
- 4:32true you know, gonna be at the end of the season. So I'm
- 4:35really curious to see if if some NFC teams kind of sneak up on us,
- 4:40sneak up on me. Maybe you know, a team like the Lions,
- 4:42you know, are are they going to kind of live up to the
- 4:44over hype that they're getting right now because they had such a good offense last
- 4:48year. I just I'm just kind of curious to see because I think right
- 4:51now everyone's expecting the AFC to be some you know, just blood bath,
- 4:55you know, beating each other up. But you know, things always change
- 4:59by the time we get to the season, and we could get to the
- 5:00season and rather those shoot, you know, it's the top of the NFC
- 5:02that really looks impressive right now. So it is it is curious. I'm
- 5:05curious to see kind of how that shakes out, you know, if the
- 5:08top of the league still is just the AFC right once we get to it.
- 5:12I love your answer there, and I love that particular overall point you
- 5:16made And for me, Ron, I look at the rookie quarter the rookie
- 5:20quarterbacks that are coming into this league, and every year there's rookie quarterbacks that
- 5:24are starting, I think for whatever reason this year because the quarterback position has
- 5:29truly evolved over the past five years into something more and we were talking about
- 5:33it on one of our recent shows in terms of like Jalen Hurts and you
- 5:36can say this about Patrick Mahomes as well, where it's not just about being
- 5:41the quote athletic quarterback, it's about using your feet, your arm, your
- 5:45mind in the course of an evolutionary process of what the quarterback position really has
- 5:53become and how these quarterbacks and Chase Young and c J. Stroud, just
- 5:58to name a couple, are going to perform in terms of being able to
- 6:01utilize what resources they have to implement a certain play on the field, and
- 6:06how they handle that pressure. For me, that's really going to be so
- 6:11very interesting to see this coming season because I do think again the quarterback position
- 6:15does continue to evolve here in the NFL, and we continue to see it
- 6:19again, like I mentioned, Jalen Hurts, Patrick Mahomes, those are two
- 6:24gentlemen where you can see that evolution taking place well and to tie it kind
- 6:29of, you know, and to my point a little bit, well,
- 6:30I guess I do want to mention just the Colts and Anthony Richardson kind of
- 6:33having that that Eagles coaching staff around you. You know, that is to
- 6:36your point, you know, something interesting. But you know, in general
- 6:40though, you know, the Colts and the Texans two teams you know that
- 6:43have those rookie quarterbacks in the AFC, you know, to kind of go
- 6:46to my point a little bit with the ac so stack, you don't have
- 6:48a lot of pressure for those two teams, right, you can kind of
- 6:51just you know, develop your quarterbacks. You know, no one's expecting you
- 6:55to make the playoffs, you know, in this conference. But you know,
- 6:58if you're a Caroline of Panthers maybe and a really crappy NFC South with
- 7:01Bryce Young, you might have a little more, a little more expectation to
- 7:05maybe make some noise when you know no one in your division is solidified,
- 7:10and again in the conference and maybe as looked at as not as strong,
- 7:13there might be a little more pressure on it. I seem like the Panthers,
- 7:15So that's interesting. Yeah, with the rookie quarterbacks, absolutely absolutely,
- 7:16all right, let's get into the running back position here in the NFL,
- 7:20and we know they're running backs who are planning to possibly hold out during this
- 7:25summer. Give them some leverage with their contracts. It's an ongoing story.
- 7:29Sae Quon Barkley, Brandon Jacobs, Tony Pollard are a few we may not
- 7:32see report to training camp. Just wanted to get your overall thoughts on the
- 7:39running backs. You know who who they are in terms of them holding out
- 7:44because of their contracts, but like what does it actually do for their brand
- 7:48for their careers as well, because as we know during again talking about the
- 7:54evolution of certain aspects of the NFL. You know, whether it's position wise
- 7:59or whatever, or certain players have a certain brand and they're able to use
- 8:03that brand to make money, not just endorsements, but after their career is
- 8:07over, where they go in terms of another team, perhaps how they may
- 8:13fit well and gel with other players in the league three four years down the
- 8:18road. So their brand of these guys are very important. I'm talking any
- 8:24any professional athlete, but how it affects their careers as well. What do
- 8:26you think in terms of these running backs, what it's doing to them,
- 8:31what it may do to their brand in their career. Man, it is
- 8:33a really kind of just complicated, unfortunate position they're in. They're putting as
- 8:39star as star running backs. I want to say, particularly the guys you
- 8:41mentioned, because you know, I think that's the discussion is the star running
- 8:46back? You know how much? You know, how do they get paid?
- 8:48And in a fair way? The thing you kind of mentioned it my
- 8:52kind of thought here. I've started to think about what this overall topic is,
- 8:56the endorsements, the brand recognition. Do star running backs start to say,
- 9:01look, you know, I'm I'm gonna sacrifice salary now because look,
- 9:05no team's given it to me, and no team's giving me what I think
- 9:07I deserve. So maybe I just need to sacrifice the check I'm getting on
- 9:09game days and go to a team that I think is going to get me
- 9:13the best chance at endorsements at off the field, you know, branding,
- 9:16and that means going to Super Bowl contenders, Like are we going to see
- 9:20some some kind of move where running backs say, Look, you know,
- 9:24I guess if I'm not going to get paid what I'm worth and I'm not
- 9:26going to go to a crappy team, I'm not going to go to any
- 9:28I'm gonna go to a team I know that has a chance to make the
- 9:31super Bowl and that and if that means that team can only pay me a
- 9:35certain amount, like I'm going to sacrifice that because I think it's gonna help
- 9:37me maybe get branding down the road. Um, you know I And that
- 9:41sounds it's it's a very out of their theory, but it's just I don't
- 9:45know where else they can go with this, because I'm of the belief that
- 9:48I do think star running backs are important in the NFL. I don't I
- 9:52think this running backs don't. This running backs don't matter thing to me is
- 9:54more of Look, you don't need to invest highly in the running back position,
- 9:58just on average compared to other positions. You know, you can get
- 10:01away with it, but that doesn't mean you're Saquon Barkley's you're Josh Jacobs,
- 10:05you know, I mean a Derrick Henry. I mean, come on,
- 10:07I mean, that guy is an entire offense. He is the Titans offense.
- 10:11They're there. There are running backs that make the exception and I totally
- 10:15get why they are. You know, they feel like they deserve more.
- 10:16I mean just the numbers over the last ten fifteen years. I mean,
- 10:20it's it's amazing how they're getting paid less now than they than they were before.
- 10:24And it's obvious because they're not as important to the success of an offense.
- 10:28But that doesn't mean they're still not really good players at that position,
- 10:31right, right, and so and so with guys like you just mentioned the
- 10:33three kind of in this in this uh you know, Tony Pollard as one
- 10:37that I think definitely deserves to be in kind of the one of the best
- 10:39running backs in the league kind of territory because he has that, you know,
- 10:43he just hasn't been able to give, you know, show it off
- 10:46yet. But I really think that might have to be a pivot they make
- 10:48is look when I'm up for a deal, you know, as soon as
- 10:52I can be, which I know it's not easy because the whole point is
- 10:54these teams, these these teams drafting them can have control of them through five
- 10:58six years, depending on when they get drafted. But yeah, I just
- 11:01think once they get to that second contract, are we gonna start seeing running
- 11:05backs just say, look, I'm not going anywhere, but a team that
- 11:09is going to give me a position to make money in the AC Championship,
- 11:13the super Bowl, you know, be in those late playoff runs where I'd
- 11:15make a name for myself as a tip you know, as a potential Hall
- 11:18of Fame player, that kind of thing. And maybe that's maybe that means
- 11:22they have to sacrifice, you know, even more money to kind of experiment
- 11:24with that. It's a way. It's out there, man, But I
- 11:26just they're in a weird position. I don't really know where they can go
- 11:30from here. It kind of just sucks. I think he hit the nail.
- 11:31Well, yeah, I think it hit the nail on the head because
- 11:33they think at the end of the day, they're gonna need to look in
- 11:35the future. They're gonna need to look if they have a crystal ball to
- 11:39say, Okay, from a business decision perspective, what's going to be the
- 11:41best for my career. And again that's where you see the evolution of this
- 11:45type of stuff taking place and moving along here. I mean it kind of,
- 11:48you know, coincides with the next topic and next gentleman that I wanted
- 11:52to get into, and that's one Odell Beckham Junior. I mean, he's
- 11:54gonna be in a Ravens jersey this year and a guy who said that he
- 11:58thought his career was going to be over. He has a certain brand,
- 12:03certainly in the NFL. Frankly, I'm not Yeah, I'm not sure what
- 12:07kind of player we're going to see from him on the field in Baltimore.
- 12:09I've as as a Philadelphia Eagles fan, I've necessarily been the biggest fan of
- 12:13his throughout his career, especially when he was in the New York Giants.
- 12:18GARB. But I'm wondering, what, you know, what are your thoughts
- 12:20about how he might improve the Ravens offense? If at all, I am
- 12:26hesitant, but I do think it's a storyline that's interesting. Somebody who is
- 12:30baling back through injuries and again, that certain brand of who he is how
- 12:33he's going to fit on that team and if he can make any impact at
- 12:37all, what are your thoughts. I think he is in a good spot
- 12:39to make an impact because of what else the Ravens have done on offense.
- 12:43I've kind of maybe helped him not be maybe the number one focal point as
- 12:48a receiver by drafting Za Flowers in the first round this year, having Rashod
- 12:52Bateman on the team, which is a very underrated guy, someone that's dealt
- 12:56with injuries throughout his career, which obviously, you know, it's not someone
- 12:58you can't, you know, to say you want to rely on someone that's
- 13:01had you know, career you know, or I should say season ending injuries
- 13:03in back to back years as a young player. But I really liked Jshad
- 13:07Bayman. I'm a huge fan of his talents um since he's been in since
- 13:11he came in the league. So if you're talking about those three receivers as
- 13:13a group, if they are all healthy, Odell might be the third kind
- 13:18of target among that trio if they're all healthy, and I think that's that's
- 13:22great for his usage, because yeah, I don't think he needs to be
- 13:24a number one target and an offense anymore. I think he needs to be
- 13:28an auxiliary weapon. But the other thing about the Ravens offense is I do
- 13:31I am buying into them this year as a team that's gonna be, you
- 13:33know, pushing the Bengals, I'd say, in the AFC North at the
- 13:37top of the AFC because of what they did in the coaching staff. I'm
- 13:41I'm a huge believer in the fact that they have They've kind of been limiting
- 13:45Lamar Jackson's potential with Greg Roman as the offensive coordinator. He is out,
- 13:48and now Todd Monkin, the former Georgia the University of Georgia offensive coordinator,
- 13:54is in. He's obviously had NFL experience prior to his time in Georgia,
- 13:58but man, if you watch your his offense, I mean they run a
- 14:01very pro style. They involved their tight ends or running backs a lot,
- 14:03and that's the thing is is I think that's kind of the way the NFL
- 14:07is rolling right now, is you're going to get your tight ends a lot
- 14:09more involved in the pass game. And they have good tight ends on that
- 14:13roster again, along with the receivers I just mentioned. I'm a believer in
- 14:18the Ravens offense taking off. And I do think if they didn't bring in
- 14:20Odell, maybe the receiver corps isn't as you know, exciting, or it
- 14:24doesn't have that extra playmaker to really kind of threaten the defense, you know,
- 14:28on a given play put him over the top. But I think Odell
- 14:33kind of gives them that a little bit. And I know again, you
- 14:35know, Rashad Bateman is actually on pup right now, but I think he
- 14:39will come off eventually and make an impact on this team. But just a
- 14:43no for Odell specifically, I think he went to the right place. If
- 14:46he would have went somewhere where he's more of the number one option, I
- 14:48think he'd be setting himself up more for maybe a kind of some high expectations
- 14:52and not meeting those expectations. Yeah, yeah, I know, very good
- 14:56points for sure, And move it along here. I wanted to dive into
- 15:00your wheelhouse a little bit when we talk about the AFC West, talk about
- 15:03the Kansas City Chiefs, and of course, you know, the AFC West
- 15:07appears to be the Chiefs to possibly take again this coming season. But I
- 15:11really do think it's gonna be interesting to watch what the Denver Broncos do this
- 15:16season with their new head coach and Sean Payton. I mean the Chargers possibly
- 15:20being a formidable opponent, you know, for teams this year. I just
- 15:24want to get your thoughts on how this division is really looking here at the
- 15:28end of the end of July. Of course, as we know, with
- 15:31with camp right around the corner here for so many teams, you know,
- 15:33how competitive do you think this division is gonna be for the reigning Super Bowl
- 15:39champs here? I do think the Broncos and Chargers could both be competitive in
- 15:43the division. And you know, I do sleep on the Raiders this year.
- 15:46You know the whole Jimmy Garoppolo storyline earlier this year. Yea, with
- 15:52him not maybe potentially if he doesn't pass the physical not being able to play,
- 15:56that kind of turned me off from the Raiders. But if they do
- 15:58have a solid enough roster, I think they could be petitive as well.
- 16:00I do think the Chargers are definitely the most formidable opponent. Um. I
- 16:04think adding what they did in the draft with Quentin Johnson, that extra receiver,
- 16:08I'm along with the guys they already have. You know, I think
- 16:11I mentioned Kellen Moore, uh, you know, leaving Dallas earlier. I
- 16:15think he's going to be a great asset for the Chargers. They've they've definitely
- 16:18not had the greatest play calling recently. Joe Lombardi is not the kind of
- 16:22guy just too conservative. I think for what Justin Herbert Um, you know,
- 16:26is as a quarterback in this thing, we don't know. Kellen Moore
- 16:27might be. You know, he was pretty conservative in Dallas, but it's
- 16:30hard to know if that was more of Mike McCarthy's influence, m kind of
- 16:34bringing down, you know, the progressiveness of his offense. So I really
- 16:38think the Chargers are going to be right in the thick of it. I
- 16:41mean they were. They were last year, too right, they were,
- 16:44they were right there. They pushed the Chiefs to the end. I think
- 16:45it's going to be just like that again. And as long as they avoid
- 16:48the injury buget they seem to run into every year, I think I think
- 16:51they're going to be in the playoffs again. Denver. I think as a
- 16:53year away, though, I will say I think Denver will be competitive.
- 16:56I think Sean Payton's gonna get some good games. They will push Chiefs.
- 17:00I believe in a game they push them. Last year even you know,
- 17:03before Sean Payton got there. So even Russell Wilson his play perhaps, I
- 17:07mean it's because it was astonishing to see how he played football last year.
- 17:11Yeah, and I think Sean Payton is going to help that. I think
- 17:14Sean Payton's gonna get the most out of RUSS at this point because I don't
- 17:17think he's as good as he used to be. I don't think you're getting
- 17:18elite RUSS again. But yeah, I think Sean Payton's gonna make them a
- 17:22competitive team. But I think we're still a year away from them actually making
- 17:26some noise in AFC. All right again, folks talking to Ron cop Junior
- 17:30from Arrowhead Pride dot Com. It's when the lead analysts over there does a
- 17:34fantastic job. Follow on Twitter at Ron underscore Cop. He's a great,
- 17:37great follow. And let's let's talk about this Chief's team a little bit more.
- 17:42I'm gonna find it to be fascinating how the receivers on this team manifest
- 17:48themselves or develop, I should say. I mean, look, they're going
- 17:52to be a powerhouse team in the AFC for a number of reasons, and
- 17:56one of those reasons is Patrick Mahomes. The type of quarterback he is.
- 18:00Just he's astonishing. You know, I've been watching Quarterback on Netflix. Doesn't
- 18:07necessarily show his on the field presence too too much. During the course of
- 18:14that series, you kind of see who he is behind the scenes, and
- 18:17just what an impressive type of guy. But again, I wonder about the
- 18:21wide receiver position. Of course, Travis Kelsey probably potentially could be the leading
- 18:26receiver on the team when it's all said and done. I just I'm wondering
- 18:30how it's all gonna look this year from a receiving aspect. Certainly not the
- 18:33strongest wide receiver corps and in the NFL. So what's the concern about some
- 18:37of these young receivers developing this year? If any run No. I absolutely
- 18:44agree that it's not one of the strongest wide receiver corps in the NFL.
- 18:47And it doesn't help that. You know, we obviously already have an injury.
- 18:51I mentioned it at the top of Tony Darius. Tony tweaked his knee
- 18:55and it sounds like it might be a week or two before we get him
- 18:57back on the field. But overall, with the receiving corps, I think
- 19:02the Mahomes point is important because I think the team needs to trust Mahomes to
- 19:07help develop these young receivers that they've drafted these last two years. Sky Moore
- 19:11was the second round pick last year, Rashi Rice this year. These are
- 19:15second round picks. You know, if you look at second round wide receivers
- 19:19in recent NFL history, you're getting a lot of guys that become star players,
- 19:23that become you know, top twenty, top twenty five receivers in the
- 19:26NFL. And that's where you know this Chiefs is Chiefs fans, we have
- 19:30this kind of we have this kind of uh, what's I don't know how
- 19:34to put it, but we just kind of have this thought about Brett Veach
- 19:37that we don't develop receivers because he hasn't done it yet. And we saw
- 19:40Micol Hardman get picked in the second round and didn't develop in anything more than
- 19:44kind of that that gadget guy, that explosive, you know, uh,
- 19:48jet sweep guy, but maybe not more anything more as a receiver. But
- 19:52we have to understand that these that they've made second round picks and back to
- 19:55back years, and those should turn into quality receivers if if they are if
- 20:00they're hits at all, and if they don't turn into that, then they're
- 20:03they're kind of bust. And so my point being there is they need to
- 20:07trust these guys to develop, and if they don't, then they need to
- 20:10just try it again, because you can't with with Mahomes as your star quarterback,
- 20:15you just don't need the top receiver. That's why I was never super
- 20:18into DeAndre Hopkins coming in this year. You know, not only just because
- 20:22I don't think the Chiefs necessarily need this top receiver, because they have Travis
- 20:26Kelson, because they have other guys that fit into certain roles, but it's
- 20:30also just because this team does need to develop receivers and so give them,
- 20:33you know, push them out of the nest, you know, push Rashi
- 20:36Rice the rookie out of the nest. You know, sky More got some
- 20:37play last year, but a lot of it was as kind of that situational
- 20:41guy, you know, jet sweeps, kick returns. He needs to ascend
- 20:45as an actual receiver this year, and you need to give him that opportunity
- 20:47if you're the chief So there's a lot of question marks and and and it's
- 20:51it's there's nothing a set in stone right now. I think you could we
- 20:53could get to the season and a guy like Richie James, the Giants receiver
- 20:57from last year we signed this off season. You know, he had almost
- 21:02six hundred receiving yards. With the giant size, it is more of a
- 21:03proven NFL receiver right now. He's like the six receiver on the depth chart,
- 21:07but in most people's minds. But he's made some plays in training camp
- 21:11already. He knows the offense because Mike Kafka was the offensive coordinator in New
- 21:15York and he obviously is from the Andy retree and Andy Reid has mentioned that.
- 21:19So I think I think the receiving room is just a jumbled up,
- 21:23you know, kind of a grab bag right now. The Chiefs are hoping
- 21:27their second round picks developed. But at the same time, all this to
- 21:30say is I'm not super worried about it. I'm not super worried about,
- 21:33you know, whether or not one guy or another steps up. I think
- 21:37they have enough depth and if Travis Kelsey stays healthy, they have enough playmakers
- 21:41around him to make it work. And I think you're gonna see the run
- 21:45game be more, you know, the tight ends as well getting more involved
- 21:48in the offense this year. Um, So I do think I'm not super
- 21:51concerned about it, but there's definitely not some like there's no set in stone,
- 21:55etched in stone, um, you know group right now, it's it's
- 21:57it's kind of a bag of who's gonna contribute to the offense? Yeah,
- 22:02lots of questions for sure. And to close us out here, I think
- 22:04one of the biggest questions I've been thinking about, and something I've been wondering
- 22:08is if we're going to end up seeing a repeat of the Super Bowl Chiefs
- 22:12against the Eagles. It's certainly possible. I mean you were talking about your
- 22:17power rankers, you know, to start off the season. Anything can happen,
- 22:19Injuries happen, things that can derail seasons or you know, improve seasons
- 22:26with player development. Certainly possible. Both teams, if they stay relatively healthy
- 22:30throughout the regular season, could both get back to the Super Bowl. How
- 22:33likely do you think this scenario might actually be? And would you actually want
- 22:38to see a rematch? Oh? Well, you know, I would want
- 22:42to see a rematch just because I do like the Eagles. I'm you know,
- 22:45I just like watching them play. They're a fun team. You know,
- 22:48they got a lot of weapons. You know, I was I had
- 22:51Jalen Hurts a J Brown Stack and fantasy last year, so I think I
- 22:53think I watched a few Eagles Eagles games last year, so I just they're
- 22:57a fun football team to watch, so and that's sense, you know,
- 23:00having the Super Bowl be two of the best teams in the NFL, absolutely,
- 23:03I'd want that. I would say, I would say the likelihood,
- 23:07I think the Eagles have a much better chance to get back than the Chiefs,
- 23:11although when you look at history, you know, the loser of the
- 23:14Super Bowl does seem to always have some weird hangover the next year. Absolutely
- 23:17and the winner. The winner does have a little more luck in terms of
- 23:19at least getting back, maybe not winning it again. But I don't know,
- 23:23man. I talked about the NFC. You look at your division,
- 23:26you know, I think the Cowboys are going to push you, but they,
- 23:30in my opinion, the division was better last year. I think the
- 23:32Giants and Cowboys had had better seasons maybe last year than they potentially could have
- 23:34this year. And I just think, again, the rest of the NFC,
- 23:38you got, you have a lot of teams that still need to prove
- 23:41something, and I think the Eagles proved it last year. So if anything,
- 23:44I think it's more likely that the Eagles get back than the Chiefs get
- 23:47back. But I would love to see that rematch. I hope, I
- 23:49sure hope it does come to fruition because I'm definitely not rooting for the Chiefs
- 23:53to not get back. I want I want to see them try to be
- 23:56the first back to back champs since the pay three or four. That'd be
- 24:00cool thing to see them go after. That was a great way to end
- 24:03this discussion for sure. Again folks, Ron cop Junior from Arrowheadpride dot com
- 24:08check out all the content they're putting up over at Arrowheadpride dot com. Ron,

- 24:33that. It's gonna be. That's gonna be great. Love talking Ron.
- 24:36He's so very honest, and again I love how he ended his analysis and
- 24:41his thoughts with regard to Chiefs Eagles potentially for this year. And look,
- 24:45you know, he's absolutely right. And we've been talking on this podcast,
- 24:48talk to Vince Quinn from Belle and the Birdman podcast last week, how it's
- 24:52just been a very quiet offseason for the Eagles. Is that hangover with the
- 24:57you know, Super Bowl loss going who manifest itself this season? Of course,
- 25:00we're gonna have to wait and see, but it's definitely a concern for
- 25:03some of us here in Eagles Nation. So that's gonna do it for us
