FLORILEGIUM - 5. St Kevin and the Blackbird
In this episode Antonia and Kate dive deep into what liturgy is and why it is important. After ‘Carnage’ by Nick Cage they approach ‘The Presentation’ Lk 2:22-40, and ‘St Kevin and the Blackbird’ by Seamus Heaney whilst all the while the theme of birds wing through cathedrals, the old testament and too small a cell.
Florilegium is a programme on Radio Maria which seeks to weave together liturgy, literature and gardening in rambling hopefully fruitful ways. It is written and presented by Kate Banks and Antonia Shack.
