- 0:03Happy Monday morning everybody. Weather station says don't get
- 0:11used to that nice cold weather. 90° gonna start creeping in,
- 0:18gonna start coming back, gonna make your life miserable.
- 0:24Man, the weather has been absolutely beautiful in St.
- 0:30Louis, MO here. Almost feels like we're in
- 0:32Montana in August. 60° this morning.
- 0:37Beautiful. I'm headed out to Sturgis
- 0:41tomorrow morning, so I will be landing in Rapid City, SD at
- 0:4811:30 Tuesday morning. I should be on my bike by 2:00.
- 0:53I'll be leaving Spearfish Canyon and I don't know where we'll go,
- 0:58but we'll be riding around. So we'll see you out there in
- 1:00Sturgis. I'll be out there Tuesday,
- 1:03Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Four days is plenty for me.
- 1:10OK, So I always say that the media, the people, you are the
- 1:21gift that keeps giving. So there's a couple people now
- 1:28on social media says, oh, Kenny Wallace, all of a sudden he just
- 1:34turned coach Kenny Wallace was was talking good about NASCAR
- 1:40and we we could not get Kenny Wallace to talk bad about
- 1:44NASCAR. The fans say we don't like Kenny
- 1:49Wallace because he won't talk bad about NASCAR, Damn it.
- 1:54We want Kenny Wallace to say some bad things about NASCAR,
- 1:59damn it. And a lot of you were getting
- 2:03very mad at me that I just didn't talk a bunch of about
- 2:08NASCAR. You want me to talk NASCAR?
- 2:18OK, I think I I think I made my point right.
- 2:21You don't like NASCAR, but you watch it.
- 2:25And you wanted me to talk bad about NASCAR with you, and I
- 2:31didn't because I really didn't have nothing bad to talk about.
- 2:37So Mark Martin, my buddy Mark, he knows how much else.
- 2:40See, when I say Mark, I start smiling.
- 2:44You know, yesterday on coffee with Kenny, I said people give
- 2:49you valuable lessons and they don't even know they're giving
- 2:54it to you. So back in, in the 1980s, St.
- 3:03Paul, MN on Pit Rd. early in the morning, Mark Martin gave me one
- 3:12of my greatest lessons of all time.
- 3:13Now, Mark, Mark will say, I don't remember that.
- 3:17Well, you won't remember it, Mark, because it wasn't that
- 3:20meaningful to you, but it was very meaningful to me.
- 3:24There was a time that I was a chronic complainer.
- 3:28I'm embarrassed to say it, but I was going through some changing
- 3:32times. I was young, very young.
- 3:36Hell, I was still in school, so I must have been 1617 years old.
- 3:41ASA let me in the pit, signed a waiver, and I changed tires.
- 3:45Me and Paul Andrews. Me and Paul Andrews.
- 3:49There's plenty. I got pictures.
- 3:51I'll post them. So it was myself and Paul
- 3:53Andrews changing tires. AC Tucker was the Jack man.
- 3:59Oh, Steve was the gas man. John Childs, he would carry
- 4:05tires. But let me tell you what Mark
- 4:08Martin taught me. I was bitching and moaning that
- 4:12that morning and I'm not a bitcher and moaner and Mark
- 4:16Martin stepped right in my tire tracks and he looked me in the
- 4:20face. He goes.
- 4:20You sure do complain a lot. And he was serious and I was
- 4:25bitching and moaning that morning about something and I
- 4:27kind of knew I was. But what embarrassed me was Mark
- 4:30Martin heard me. If see, Kenny Wallace is the
- 4:34type person. If I'm going to do a lot of
- 4:35complaining, the key here is if I'm going to do a lot of
- 4:39complaining, if I'm going to do a lot of complaining, I don't
- 4:43want people to hear me because it's embarrassing, right?
- 4:46Because you're a chronic complainer.
- 4:50Well, when Mark Martin looked at me that day and said, damn,
- 4:53Herman, you're, you complain all the time, I was never so
- 4:58embarrassed in all my life. So Mark Martin changed my life
- 5:03because I swore from that day on I wouldn't be a chronic
- 5:06complainer. Are you a chronic complainer?
- 5:14Do you hear yourself or are you one of those guys that say or
- 5:20girls that say I just, I just bitch about what needs to be
- 5:23bitched about. Yeah, but it looks bad on you
- 5:28because successful people, they don't complain all the time.
- 5:33They deal with what they got that affects their life.
- 5:37So let me address some of you people saying, oh, that Kenny
- 5:44Wallace is talking bad about NASCAR with us.
- 5:46Oh, now Kenny Wallace turns around and talk like a like I'm
- 5:50in some little in club. Like you want me in your little
- 5:53bitch club, little Fight Club? Hey, Wallace, how come you don't
- 5:58talk about NASCAR with us? I'm going to answer that right
- 6:02now because I'm not a chronic complainer like you.
- 6:14I told everybody yesterday that I would address that situation.
- 6:20I specifically addressed a situation that was embarrassing.
- 6:24Reported by Adam Stern, NASCAR said they've hired a firm to
- 6:29help them how to go about communicating, winning back the
- 6:35old fans, the blue collar fans. And I found that appalling.
- 6:41Nate, NASCAR slipped in that news.
- 6:44Adam Starr don't dream up. That was NASCAR's way of going.
- 6:49Hey, we don't want to really admit it, but hey, Adam.
- 6:53And so Adam took the news and and, and ran with it.
- 6:57Well, I'm not a dummy. I know, I know NASCAR slipped in
- 7:01that news. And I'm like, Oh my God, how
- 7:04embarrassing. You're admitting that you dump
- 7:09the blue collar fans and now you got a, you got to somehow, you
- 7:13know, win them over. Now what's what's embarrassing
- 7:17is that it's been going on for 25 years now.
- 7:20Remember, the bitching started way back at the original font.
- 7:26You know, they call you know what the word time stamp means?
- 7:30Time stamp means. Oh yeah, I know where I was
- 7:33during 9/11. Why do I'm getting ready to get
- 7:38in the shower and I had TV on and I turned around and went Oh
- 7:41my God. See, because I just remember
- 7:44that. So timestamp means I remember
- 7:48all the bitch and the moaning started around Fontana, the
- 7:51California Speedway. That's when you all started in
- 7:54on your chronic complaining. And remember I said you've been
- 7:58complaining for 2025 years because now they built Fontana
- 8:02Speedway, they bulldoze it over, shut it down and y'all are still
- 8:07complaining. That, my friends, is in chronic
- 8:12complaining. James McFadden won the race at
- 8:21Knoxville last night by a straightaway.
- 8:24I didn't get on social media right away and go, oh boy, those
- 8:26Sprint car race at Knoxville was horrible.
- 8:29Nobody battled James McFadden. No, I thought.
- 8:33I thought that was pretty rare to make James McFadden he run
- 8:37away with a good job by the Australian.
- 8:44Congratulations, James McFadden. So hopefully I've explained
- 8:49myself now I'm right because I'm strong.
- 8:53You don't just can win me over. You don't talk to me.
- 8:56You should talk me. I'm going to talk you back here.
- 8:59Let me explain it this way. You throw a brick at me, I'm
- 9:05going to throw a block back. Now I'm not a bad ass.
- 9:10I'm just saying, OK, for the most part, I'm going to leave
- 9:14you with this racial. You're complaining.
- 9:16How much do you complain? Think about it.
- 9:19No, really think about it. Don't get upset with my little
- 9:23coffee with Kenny here. When you turn this off, you
- 9:26drive down to think about it. How much do you complain?
- 9:30I bet you complain a lot. And when you think about it,
- 9:33you're going to be embarrassed. Try to balance your lifeout
- 9:38Complain a little bit and love a lot.
- 9:41Complain a little bit and love a lot.
- 9:46All right, now that I've chewed your ass out because you jumped
- 9:49my ass. You started this, you started
- 9:52it. Have a great Monday everybody,
- 9:56and I do love you very much.
