- 0:18Speaker 4: of something is caught in the garbage disposal and I
- 0:22Speaker 4: absolutely cannot bring myself to reach my hand in there
- 0:25Speaker 4: and pull it out, even though I know it's not
- 0:28Speaker 4: on and nothing's going to happen if there's an electrical surge,
- 0:33Speaker 4: I just can't.
- 0:34Speaker 1: You saw maximum over drive, so you know, I guess
- 0:37Speaker 1: I have an irrational fear of I feel uncomfortable around
- 0:42Speaker 1: unhoused knives. I mean, I use knives all the time,

- 0:50Speaker 1: you know.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Because I think something bad could happen.

- 0:54Speaker 5: a second, here's some quinn of sunset. Thanks for letting
- 0:58Speaker 5: me listening heading discore well, but my irrational fear is

- 1:07Speaker 5: my face on the handle part.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Did this happen when you were in middle school?
- 1:11Speaker 5: It's never happened, ever threatened it? I don't know why
- 1:14Speaker 5: what this is about. That's the definition of irrational.
- 1:17Speaker 4: See, somebody says I have an irrational fear that I've
- 1:20Speaker 4: somehow packed something illegal in my luggage before going to
- 1:24Speaker 4: the airport, knowing full well that I didn't.

- 1:50Speaker 1: Do you go ice skating at all?
- 1:52Speaker 4: Absolutely not, that never happens, and you don't go ice skating,
- 1:57Speaker 4: then that says to me it is a completely irrational fear.

- 2:24Speaker 4: Now, when you're at a bar and you leave a
- 2:26Speaker 4: drink and go to the bathroom and come back, that
- 2:28Speaker 4: is a rational fear that in your car?
- 2:31Speaker 1: That is is it really is it that rational in

- 3:07Speaker 5: All right, let's see a text. My irrational fear is
- 3:11Speaker 5: that sometimes when I'm using the blender, those blades are
- 3:15Speaker 5: somehow going to spin off and break through the.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Glass and kill me. That could happen. They'll just come loose.
- 3:21Speaker 1: That's a common household accident.
- 3:23Speaker 7: Fly right up.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Let's go to Lane. Hello, Lane, Lane, where are you
- 3:28Speaker 1: calling from? Wayne?
- 3:32Speaker 2: I think we lost Lane?
- 3:33Speaker 3: Wayne Vane or.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Lane, it says Lane.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Maybe that's not your name?
- 3:39Speaker 1: Who is this?
- 3:42Speaker 9: Well?
- 3:42Speaker 7: I'm Wayne, Wayne, Wayne, like.
- 3:48Speaker 10: I'm I'm I've.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Been a ski instructor for many, many, many years.
- 3:55Speaker 10: But I'm afraid of leaving the house.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Now, that's that's our phobia.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Now it's difficult. Then, how do you teach your skills?
- 4:04Speaker 10: Yeah, well, when I when I get up there and
- 4:09Speaker 10: when I when I do my thing, like, I'm okay,
- 4:11Speaker 10: but it's just it's leaving the house, just.
- 4:15Speaker 4: Getting the courage to walk out the door. Well, good
- 4:19Speaker 4: on you for doing it. There are people that feel
- 4:21Speaker 4: the way you do and just don't ever leave the house,
- 4:24Speaker 4: So good on you.
- 4:25Speaker 2: For doing it.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Where are you now, Lane, Wayne? Wayne?
- 4:30Speaker 3: Wayne?
- 4:33Speaker 10: I'm in South Salt Lake.
- 4:35Speaker 1: I work.
- 4:37Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Why are you? Are you so you're at work?
- 4:43Speaker 10: No?
- 4:44Speaker 1: Are you at home?
- 4:46Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 4:47Speaker 1: Stay there, Bill, it's not helpful, see you later.
- 4:55Speaker 7: Okay, let's go to Garrett.
- 4:58Speaker 3: IY Garrett, Hi, thanks for letting me listen.
- 5:03Speaker 1: What's your irrational fear?
- 5:06Speaker 3: So anytime I see police lights behind me, I think
- 5:10Speaker 3: I'm getting pulled over, And even though I've done nothing wrong,
- 5:15Speaker 3: and then if I do, if I ever do get
- 5:17Speaker 3: pulled over, I think I'm getting arrested. I'm just a
- 5:21Speaker 3: nervous right the whole time.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Have you ever been arrested?
- 5:26Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 5:27Speaker 3: I have?
- 5:29Speaker 2: Maybe that's so maybe.
- 5:30Speaker 4: That's not irrational if it's something that's actually happened to you.
- 5:33Speaker 2: I'm just trying to make you feel better.
- 5:35Speaker 1: If you ever have the one that this is sort
- 5:37Speaker 1: of similar and I actually have had this fear if
- 5:39Speaker 1: a if a fire truck. If I'm driving home and
- 5:42Speaker 1: a fire truck goes rushing past me in the same direction,
- 5:47Speaker 1: I think, oh god, my house is up.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Oh for sure, I think that every time.
- 5:51Speaker 1: All right.
- 5:51Speaker 3: I actually that I had when I was living in
- 5:54Speaker 3: a warm I pulled up to my house after work
- 5:58Speaker 3: and that there was smoke everywhere and fire trucks and
- 6:01Speaker 3: my road was blocking off. I thought it was my house,
- 6:06Speaker 3: but it is my neighbor's house.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Oh you know, uh, you know, Garrett, I think maybe
- 6:10Speaker 1: you ought to go find out where Wayne lives and
- 6:13Speaker 1: stay there with him. Yeah, thank you. Later, Thanks Garrett.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Did you get the pass? All right? We returned turned
- 6:24Speaker 1: with the ex pole. Now you got an irrational fear
- 6:26Speaker 1: or two? Let us hear about it, all right, Let's
- 6:29Speaker 1: go to Mary. I'm Mary, good morning.
- 6:35Speaker 11: I have an irrational fear of being stopped in traffic
- 6:39Speaker 11: that backs me up under an overpas, like if there
- 6:42Speaker 11: was an earthquake, I'm afraid the overpass will fall on me.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Oh, well, I get that one.
- 6:46Speaker 1: That's true. I mean it would, it would if there
- 6:49Speaker 1: was an earthquake.
- 6:50Speaker 11: Well, it stems from when I was a kid and
- 6:53Speaker 11: the earthquake in the Bay Area, which was like I
- 6:56Speaker 11: don't know what was it, like eighty nine or something,
- 6:58Speaker 11: and I saw like the.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Free ways that collapsed.
- 7:03Speaker 11: Ever since then, I'm just get me out.
- 7:05Speaker 12: From under there.
- 7:06Speaker 1: I think one person I think there was as I
- 7:07Speaker 1: recall one person who was smashed in that, and interestingly enough,
- 7:12Speaker 1: her name was Mary.
- 7:14Speaker 10: Stop.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Thanks Mary.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Thanks.
- 7:17Speaker 2: That reminds me of by by in Little Cottonwood Canyon.
- 7:21Speaker 4: There's a giant boulder that someone a long time ago
- 7:25Speaker 4: stuck a stick under that looks like the stick is.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Holding it up. Oh, I see, and for this, I think.
- 7:33Speaker 4: It's still there. Every time I would drive by that,
- 7:36Speaker 4: I was certain the stick was going to break and
- 7:38Speaker 4: the boulder.
- 7:39Speaker 7: Was a treacherous coyote.
- 7:41Speaker 1: All right, looks go to James. Hello, James, James.
- 7:46Speaker 8: Morning Lord.
- 7:47Speaker 3: I am Hi.
- 7:49Speaker 8: I'm afraid of So you got two cars for you know,
- 7:52Speaker 8: denserven Area, a parallel parked on a hill, and I'm
- 7:55Speaker 8: afraid of walking in between the two parked cars because
- 7:57Speaker 8: I'm afraid the uphill won the parking break and transmission
- 8:00Speaker 8: are somehow both gonna give way and it's gonna fall
- 8:02Speaker 8: back and crush my legs. Downhill could happen.
- 8:05Speaker 1: That could happen.
- 8:06Speaker 9: So just don't do that.
- 8:08Speaker 8: It's pretty it's pretty damn unlikely, I think.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Yeah, but don't just don't take the chance. Don't do it. Okay,
- 8:14Speaker 1: all right, you could talk to our friend bad Brad Wheeler.
- 8:18Speaker 1: He knows knows about getting his legs stuck between two cars.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Thanks James, Oh yeah, thank you.
- 8:26Speaker 9: Great.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Now he's really this actually happened.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Yeah, not quite, but Milo, Milo, good morning guys.
- 8:37Speaker 12: So I irrational fear is having it to go to
- 8:39Speaker 12: so much debt that I cannot get out of it.
- 8:42Speaker 12: I used to work and finances though now I was young,
- 8:44Speaker 12: and I used to pull people's credit for its all time,
- 8:46Speaker 12: and I know how to maintain that.
- 8:48Speaker 5: I see the damn what excuse me, Milo, The question
- 8:53Speaker 5: is what's an irrational fear?
- 8:55Speaker 4: Well, he's saying he knows how to not get into
- 8:58Speaker 4: that situation.
- 8:58Speaker 1: This is quite irrational.
- 9:00Speaker 7: Are getting into so much?
- 9:05Speaker 1: This is? This is rational? All right?
- 9:07Speaker 2: Thanks Milo, thank you, let's go.
- 9:10Speaker 1: To I'm not sure, Milo, is rational? Sella, stella, stella, sella. Okay,
- 9:19Speaker 1: what's your irrational fear?
- 9:22Speaker 6: I'm scared that if anything falls in the garbage as
- 9:25Speaker 6: I have to stick my hand in there.
- 9:26Speaker 7: It's gonna turn on on itself and eat away my hand.
- 9:28Speaker 2: That's mine.
- 9:34Speaker 9: Up in there.
- 9:36Speaker 4: Whatever's in there's going to stay in there because I'm
- 9:38Speaker 4: not getting it out.
- 9:39Speaker 1: And all right, thanks Stella, Thanks sella, excuse me, Let's
- 9:43Speaker 1: go to Erin. Hello Aaron, good.
- 9:47Speaker 9: Morning, Lord Bill Lord carrying, Lord Gena, good morning. Hell
- 9:52Speaker 9: heh h. Do you remember the Mavericks strangler a few
- 9:56Speaker 9: months ago?
- 9:58Speaker 1: The Maverick Strangler? No, I don't.
- 10:00Speaker 9: Yeah, the guy that freaked out and somebody was taking
- 10:04Speaker 9: too long in the john and he's struggling out in
- 10:06Speaker 9: the bathroom and left him. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I have
- 10:09Speaker 9: a fear. I have a fear of going into apig
- 10:12Speaker 9: bathroom and getting I'm nice to the throat and then
- 10:16Speaker 9: someone cuts off Mike Johnson and leaves it in the toilet.
- 10:19Speaker 4: Okay, well, let's yeah, Aaron, breaking are no funny voices
- 10:25Speaker 4: rule Byron? All right, I share this one with Ranger
- 10:29Speaker 4: Kate too. I have a lot of these, she says.
- 10:32Speaker 4: I fear my bathtub will fall through the.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Floor when it's full. Yes, yes, I fear that.
- 10:38Speaker 7: All right, let's go to Richard.
- 10:41Speaker 11: Hello, Richard, Hey, morning guys. Yeah, so I have an
- 10:47Speaker 11: interrational fear of like a like wedding ring. Specifically, I
- 10:51Speaker 11: wear a silicone wedding ring because in my mind, if
- 10:54Speaker 11: I wear a metal ring, I'm just gonna be throwing
- 10:56Speaker 11: down the street and suddenly when a slip and fall,
- 10:58Speaker 11: reach out to grab something and suddenly I have no
- 11:01Speaker 11: more skin and bones.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Yeah it's gonna that's you know, it's it's it's unlikely
- 11:07Speaker 1: to happen, but I have had injuries caused by my rings.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Get on stuff, get on something, and yeah, it's it's. Uh.
- 11:16Speaker 1: That's why most people who work with their hands of
- 11:19Speaker 1: the machinery, they'll take their rings off before they work
- 11:22Speaker 1: in that. That's that's.
- 11:23Speaker 11: Oh yeah, No, I take mine off all the time,
- 11:25Speaker 11: and it is like I just I'm like, hope, sorry,
- 11:27Speaker 11: I gotta just can't do that. Right now, I'm washing dishes,
- 11:30Speaker 11: so sorry, my finger might fall off.
- 11:32Speaker 1: All right, all right, thanks Richard.
- 11:34Speaker 7: Let's go to Blake.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Hello, Blake, Blake, Hey, good morning. I have an irrational fear.
- 11:44Speaker 9: You know, I don't, but.
- 11:45Speaker 3: My wife has a fear of I twitch is rational,
- 11:49Speaker 3: But what the iractional.
- 11:52Speaker 11: Part of it is when we're watching a TV show
- 11:54Speaker 11: or a movie and there are somewhere up high.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Then she starts feeling sick and some of it. Sometimes
- 12:02Speaker 1: that'll get me too, teetering on some somebody on TV
- 12:05Speaker 1: or in a movie, teetering on the edge of a building.
- 12:07Speaker 10: Or yeah, exactly what I mean.
- 12:11Speaker 1: It's designed to feel uncomfortable. Yeah, so so I don't know.
- 12:17Speaker 1: Maybe it's not that irrational.
- 12:18Speaker 8: But it's still I oh, I mean when we're in
- 12:22Speaker 8: the safety of our front room.
- 12:25Speaker 5: Okay, thanks, go to Spencer.
- 12:28Speaker 7: Hello, Spencer, Spencer, Hey, guys, what's going on?
- 12:33Speaker 1: Yeah, Spencer, our Spencer. So what's your irrational fear? Spencer?
- 12:38Speaker 11: I am scared that I'm going to open an all
- 12:40Speaker 11: glass door one day and the whole thing's gonna shatter.
- 12:43Speaker 4: Yeah, I've had that, I can happened, but I've thought
- 12:47Speaker 4: about that.
- 12:47Speaker 11: Yeah, yeah, yeah, maybe not irrational, but there it is.
- 12:51Speaker 5: Okay, Spencer, stay away from those doors, all right, So
- 12:55Speaker 5: let's see, uh, Holly x Pole. My irrational fear is
- 12:59Speaker 5: the while I'm camping, I'll have to get up in
- 13:02Speaker 5: the middle of the night to use the bathroom outside
- 13:04Speaker 5: in the dark. The fear comes from thinking that at
- 13:07Speaker 5: any moment, a bear, cougar or some other predator is
- 13:10Speaker 5: going to jump out of the bushes and attack me.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:12Speaker 2: See, I don't think that's irrational.
- 13:14Speaker 5: Irrational. Yeah, here's one that is irrational. Stripes at the
- 13:18Speaker 5: bottom of pools.
- 13:19Speaker 2: What are you afraid? What's going to happen with that?
- 13:23Speaker 1: Exactly?
- 13:24Speaker 7: This is again, that's a phone call, that's.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Not a text. Yeah, we need to know what that's
- 13:28Speaker 1: all about.
- 13:29Speaker 7: Expool, let's see werewolves?
- 13:34Speaker 5: Yeah, well that I know they're not real, but the
- 13:38Speaker 5: thought of seeing one terrifies me. I guess I think
- 13:41Speaker 5: my heart would instantly stop out of fear.
- 13:43Speaker 1: I guess that is completely irrational.
- 13:48Speaker 5: Oh, let's see it's done. But when my hand slips
- 13:52Speaker 5: off my bed, it will wake me up.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Yeah, because something's gonna grab it.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Something's gonna grab it. Oh, Donna, there online one.
- 13:59Speaker 7: All right, see what Donna has to say?
- 14:01Speaker 1: Donna? Hello, Oh Donna? What's your fear?
- 14:05Speaker 9: Ah?
- 14:06Speaker 6: I did getting my feet or legs crapped? If I'm
- 14:08Speaker 6: going upstairs or on a bridge that have open.
- 14:12Speaker 4: Sides, that's a hand's going to reach out and grab you.
- 14:15Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Oh I saw really yeah? Huh sure? Yeah? Oh good,
- 14:21Speaker 1: I guess that's irrational because I don't don't really even
- 14:23Speaker 1: understand how anyone could. Do you have any idea why
- 14:27Speaker 1: you fear? Why that movies and stuff?
- 14:31Speaker 9: No, I know why.
- 14:32Speaker 6: It's my mom and brother went to a haunted house
- 14:34Speaker 6: in New Jersey and they had people grabbing their seat
- 14:38Speaker 6: when they were watching on the bridge.
- 14:39Speaker 1: I was like, five, okay, okay, all right, Donna, thank you.
- 14:44Speaker 1: There you go.
- 14:46Speaker 5: Now here's the one that I'm surprised that we here
- 14:49Speaker 5: at the end, are finally getting. My irrational fear is
- 14:52Speaker 5: being buried alive. Yes, I know it's a common one,
- 14:56Speaker 5: but it's so bad and that if I if I
- 14:58Speaker 5: can't get my feet uncovered fast enough, I go into
- 15:00Speaker 5: a panic attack.
- 15:01Speaker 1: I would say, have yourself cremated. Yeah, you don't have
- 15:04Speaker 1: to be worried about being buried along
