- 0:02Speaker 1: Thank you. Hi, and welcome back to Pinky Boo Hauntings.
- 0:28Speaker 1: I'll be your witchy host, Shy, and I'll be your
- 0:31Speaker 1: guide to all things paranormal, weird, and spooky. Like I
- 0:35Speaker 1: said before, I thought we'd cover some topics that would
- 0:39Speaker 1: really give some of us the chills. And one thing
- 0:43Speaker 1: I know gives a lot of people the creeps is dolls.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Haunted dolls, to be more specific. I know when I
- 0:51Speaker 1: was younger, my mom had this doll that freaked me out.
- 0:55Speaker 1: It always felt like it was watching me when I
- 0:59Speaker 1: was in their room. It was this porcelain doll that
- 1:02Speaker 1: had these really sad looking eyes. And I know I
- 1:07Speaker 1: wasn't just scared of the doll, because I had a
- 1:10Speaker 1: lot of them myself. I even had a porcelain doll
- 1:13Speaker 1: of my own. Hell, my best friend back then had some.
- 1:18Speaker 1: And they never made me feel that way. It was
- 1:22Speaker 1: just my mom's. So, while I can't prove it, I
- 1:28Speaker 1: get the feeling that doll had something attached to it.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Sometimes I still wish she still had it so I
- 1:36Speaker 1: could see if I still felt something. But I was
- 1:40Speaker 1: happy back then when she got rid of it. Cause
- 1:43Speaker 1: damn did I hate that doll. Maybe one of these
- 1:48Speaker 1: days I'll get my own haunted doll. Though I might
- 1:51Speaker 1: change my mind after reading these stories. I found our
- 1:54Speaker 1: first story in the subreddit Ghost Stories in a post
- 1:58Speaker 1: called Any Scary Stories Involving Haunted Dolls? When I was five,
- 2:05Speaker 1: my grandma gifted me an American Me doll. I absolutely
- 2:10Speaker 1: adored the doll. After a few years, I got over it,
- 2:15Speaker 1: but she'd still be in my room. Eventually, we moved
- 2:19Speaker 1: to a new house, where scary shit happened all the time.
- 2:25Speaker 1: I know things have to attach to the doll to,
- 2:28Speaker 1: you know, make it haunted. But right now, it sounds
- 2:33Speaker 1: like the house is the thing that's going to be haunted,
- 2:35Speaker 1: not the doll. There were two incidents that scared my mom.
- 2:41Speaker 1: The first one was when I was in high school,
- 2:44Speaker 1: and my mom was taking care of my three-year-old nephew.
- 2:47Speaker 1: She left him in my room to watch TV, and
- 2:51Speaker 1: he asked my mom to move the doll. She moves
- 2:54Speaker 1: the doll near the closet, and goes back to cleaning.
- 2:59Speaker 1: A few moments later, she hears my nephew scream, and
- 3:04Speaker 1: she runs to him and sees the doll is now
- 3:07Speaker 1: standing by the door. My nephew is crying and says
- 3:12Speaker 1: the doll moved. After that incident, my mom decided to
- 3:17Speaker 1: move the doll to the garage. She dressed her up
- 3:21Speaker 1: in a Winnie the Pooh outfit and left her at
- 3:23Speaker 1: the top of the shelf in the garage. A few
- 3:28Speaker 1: months later, my mom throws a 50th birthday party with
- 3:33Speaker 1: all of my aunts, uncles, and cousins in attendance. My
- 3:38Speaker 1: 12-year-old cousin comes up to my mom and asks her
- 3:42Speaker 1: who the little girl from the garage was. He says
- 3:46Speaker 1: he saw a little girl in a Winnie the Pooh
- 3:48Speaker 1: outfit sliding down the top shelf of the garage and
- 3:52Speaker 1: was roaming around. Well, that's not creepy at all. I'm
- 3:59Speaker 1: sure your mom's heart stopped for a moment. I know
- 4:02Speaker 1: mine would. That's some Chucky shit. To not freak out
- 4:07Speaker 1: my little cousin, my mom said it was a family friend.
- 4:12Speaker 1: My mom then decides to go talk to a priest
- 4:15Speaker 1: about the incidents. The priest tells my mom that the
- 4:20Speaker 1: doll is possessed or is a demon and to burn it.
- 4:26Speaker 1: They always jump to demons. I bet that doll was
- 4:30Speaker 1: either possessed by a normal ass ghost or was just
- 4:34Speaker 1: being played with a ghost kid or something like that.
- 4:38Speaker 1: I know it would be scary to see it or
- 4:41Speaker 1: be told the doll is moving, but it all feels
- 4:44Speaker 1: innocent so far. There was no demon attached to that
- 4:48Speaker 1: thing and your mom burned that thing for no reason.
- 4:54Speaker 1: My mom places the doll inside a metal round barrel
- 4:58Speaker 1: and sets it on fire. Her and my dad confirmed
- 5:02Speaker 1: that once they lit the doll on fire, it started screaming, crying,
- 5:09Speaker 1: creepy shit. Okay, well, that would definitely be scary, but
- 5:14Speaker 1: I still don't think it proves that it was a demon.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Years later, after we moved out, I found out that
- 5:21Speaker 1: a teenage girl and her younger brother were murdered in
- 5:24Speaker 1: that house in the 90s. The sister was killed in
- 5:28Speaker 1: the garage and the brother in my room. I personally
- 5:33Speaker 1: encountered sightings of a young boy in my room. I
- 5:36Speaker 1: also had a hand go through the shower curtain, seen
- 5:39Speaker 1: a black entity near the couch, heard the door slam,
- 5:44Speaker 1: and seen black shadows. Well, I hate the hand going
- 5:48Speaker 1: through the shower curtain, but what did I say? It
- 5:52Speaker 1: wasn't a demon. It was probably two kids messing with
- 5:55Speaker 1: it out of curiosity or just wanting to play with
- 5:59Speaker 1: your doll. Maybe the crying was that of a little boy.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Because he was sad, your parents were burning the toy
- 6:06Speaker 1: he liked. Or maybe it was the teenager. Teenagers like
- 6:11Speaker 1: dolls too. Even if they try to pretend they're too
- 6:14Speaker 1: old for them sometimes. Also, I'm pretty sure in the 90s,
- 6:19Speaker 1: American Girl dolls were really big. So, maybe she wanted one,
- 6:24Speaker 1: but thought she couldn't have one for some reason. And
- 6:29Speaker 1: this was her way of finally getting to play with one.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Either way, it was just a kid playing with a doll.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Maybe even using it as a vessel, but it wasn't
- 6:40Speaker 1: anything evil. Just some kids that lost their lives too soon.
- 6:45Speaker 1: The only evil thing that was in that house was
- 6:47Speaker 1: a person that took their lives. Alright, on that super
- 6:52Speaker 1: sad note, let's move on to our next story. My
- 6:56Speaker 1: Encounter with Robert the Doll Back in 2017, I was
- 7:02Speaker 1: 14 when I went to Florida with my family for
- 7:05Speaker 1: three weeks of beaches, pools, restaurants, and local food. The
- 7:10Speaker 1: kind of holidays I will never live again. Damn, that
- 7:14Speaker 1: kind of hit a little too close to home. I
- 7:17Speaker 1: understand that though. I miss when I got to go
- 7:20Speaker 1: to Universal and Disney for summer vacations. Hell, even getting
- 7:24Speaker 1: to go back to Carowinds would be nice nowadays. But sadly,
- 7:28Speaker 1: getting out of state is so hard. Well, now I'm
- 7:34Speaker 1: sad and kind of homesick. Shit. Oh well, one of
- 7:38Speaker 1: these days, I'll have the money to go back to
- 7:41Speaker 1: them all, and I'm probably going to ugly cry. Anyways,
- 7:46Speaker 1: one evening, I was on YouTube, and I was watching
- 7:49Speaker 1: a video of Squeezy, my favorite videographer. And in the video,
- 7:55Speaker 1: he was telling this well-known story of Robert the Doll.
- 8:00Speaker 1: The story begins at the turn of the last century.
- 8:03Speaker 1: when an African maid of the Otto family, rich Florian aristocrat,
- 8:09Speaker 1: gives a doll to their son, Robert. From the beginning,
- 8:13Speaker 1: Robert falls in love with this doll and never leaves it,
- 8:17Speaker 1: so much so that he changes his name to Eugene
- 8:21Speaker 1: in order to name his doll by its real name.
- 8:24Speaker 1: But legend quickly circulates about this doll. that the maid
- 8:29Speaker 1: practiced voodoo magic and bewitched the doll to harm the family.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Some of the family's guests ran out of the Otto's house,
- 8:37Speaker 1: swearing that the doll had tried to strangle them. Not
- 8:41Speaker 1: gonna lie, I don't like that my throat was messing
- 8:43Speaker 1: up when I was trying to read that part. Cause
- 8:46Speaker 1: you won't be hearing it, but my voice kept going
- 8:49Speaker 1: out while trying to read this sentence. So, that's fun.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Don't like that. and nobody's allowed to mess with me.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Eugene's parents discover bruises and burn marks on the child,
- 9:05Speaker 1: a child who amuses himself speaking casual, chatting with Robert,
- 9:10Speaker 1: by alternating his child's voice with the voice of his doll, hoarse,
- 9:15Speaker 1: almost superhuman, almost diabolic. In short, the Robert doll scares
- 9:22Speaker 1: the whole neighborhood. Sparing all of the scary details that
- 9:27Speaker 1: set the context of my story, Eugene ends up dying
- 9:31Speaker 1: alone with his allegedly haunted doll. At the end of
- 9:35Speaker 1: the video, Squeezy announces that the doll can now be
- 9:39Speaker 1: seen at the museum in the United States. at the
- 9:42Speaker 1: art and historical museum in key west florida stunned by
- 9:47Speaker 1: the news i looked to see if the information was
- 9:51Speaker 1: true and god it was i immediately told my parents
- 9:56Speaker 1: asking them if we would be passing through key west
- 9:59Speaker 1: on this trip. Sounds like something I would do as
- 10:02Speaker 1: a kid. Actually, I'd probably do that now. And of course,
- 10:07Speaker 1: on the last three days, just before returning to France,
- 10:12Speaker 1: we would be making a diversion to Key West. so
- 10:15Speaker 1: it was decided I would meet Robert the Doll on
- 10:19Speaker 1: the last full day of our trip. Key West is
- 10:25Speaker 1: the southernmost city in the United States. You have to
- 10:29Speaker 1: take a highway bordered on both sides of the ocean,
- 10:33Speaker 1: so it is an extremely isolated pre-island. As a result,
- 10:38Speaker 1: The local folklore is extremely strong, and Robert is known
- 10:42Speaker 1: to all. Besides, to justify a mistake, the local children
- 10:47Speaker 1: used to say Robert did it. The last day came,
- 10:51Speaker 1: and with excitement my family and I set off to
- 10:54Speaker 1: the museum. It was a very dilapidated and unwelcoming fort.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Hollowed out by time, the wind and the sea, with
- 11:03Speaker 1: seagulls eating the corpse of their siblings in the parking lot, Um,
- 11:08Speaker 1: what the fuck? Do seagulls do that? It gets you
- 11:12Speaker 1: in the mood, I guess. Ew. We enter, and a
- 11:16Speaker 1: red-headed lady in her fifties is at the reception. We
- 11:21Speaker 1: talk to her and find out about the museum. And incidentally,
- 11:25Speaker 1: to find out about Robert from the most qualified person,
- 11:29Speaker 1: the museum guard. There, we don't joke with Robert. To
- 11:34Speaker 1: take a picture of him, you have to ask him
- 11:37Speaker 1: a question and wait for the answer. Some say that
- 11:41Speaker 1: a bright reflection in his black eyes means a positive answer.
- 11:45Speaker 1: The lady warns us that some people weakly disrespect the
- 11:50Speaker 1: doll and ends up sending a letter of apology to
- 11:54Speaker 1: Robert at the museum so that he will stop the mischief.
- 11:59Speaker 1: She adds that there is a video of a man
- 12:02Speaker 1: hitting Robert's glass. Dude, I get some people don't believe
- 12:07Speaker 1: in the paranormal, but why do you need to disrespect
- 12:10Speaker 1: the museum, if anything else? Like, it shouldn't be something
- 12:15Speaker 1: anyone should have to tell you. Don't go around hitting
- 12:18Speaker 1: the glass or touching shit in the museum. I hope
- 12:22Speaker 1: Robert really messed with him, just to teach him a lesson.
- 12:27Speaker 1: This man died later that day in a road accident. Oh,
- 12:32Speaker 1: I didn't mean that. Well, there is a reason you're
- 12:36Speaker 1: not supposed to disrespect Robert. Oh, shit, though. I, the
- 12:44Speaker 1: little French that I was, naively asked if I could
- 12:48Speaker 1: ask Robert to take a picture of him, as advised,
- 12:52Speaker 1: in French, in a foreign language. And what did the
- 12:56Speaker 1: lady reply? Try it. You'll be the very first. We
- 13:00Speaker 1: started the visit. My family and I were very enchanted.
- 13:05Speaker 1: We were like crazy. We explored all of the corners
- 13:08Speaker 1: of the fort in search of Robert, apprehending all the
- 13:12Speaker 1: same to our meeting. We pass old cannons, military costumes,
- 13:17Speaker 1: old rusty weapons, and as we turn down a hallway,
- 13:21Speaker 1: on our right, there he is, Robert. A century-old doll
- 13:27Speaker 1: accused of being the reason of multiple unexplained deaths in
- 13:30Speaker 1: Key West. The inspiration for the Annabelle and Chucky dolls.
- 13:36Speaker 1: The main subject of Squeezie's horror video. Here we are,
- 13:41Speaker 1: face to face. The doll is tall, sitting on a
- 13:45Speaker 1: chair and enclosed in a glass cage. Behind him, letters
- 13:49Speaker 1: of apology from multiple countries. Mexico, Germany, guitar, all written
- 13:57Speaker 1: in English, and imploring Robert to break the curse he
- 14:01Speaker 1: set on them, which even more reminded us that we
- 14:06Speaker 1: needed to be polite. I take my courage in both
- 14:10Speaker 1: hands and say, Hello, Robert. I am from France, and
- 14:14Speaker 1: will be delighted to take your picture. Could I? In French,
- 14:19Speaker 1: a world first. I take a picture of him and
- 14:22Speaker 1: send it to all of my friends via Snapchat to
- 14:26Speaker 1: show them that I'm the bravest, reckless kid of my
- 14:30Speaker 1: generation with my photo taken we hurriedly finished our visit
- 14:36Speaker 1: and returned to the hotel the next day the day
- 14:40Speaker 1: of the big departure we don't have breakfast because of
- 14:44Speaker 1: the lack of time pack our bags and climb into
- 14:47Speaker 1: the car to miami where we'll take a plane to
- 14:50Speaker 1: France in the afternoon. At 11 o'clock in the morning,
- 14:54Speaker 1: we came across a Wendy's, a fast food restaurant specialized
- 14:58Speaker 1: in breakfast. Well, I don't know about that. McDonald's is
- 15:02Speaker 1: more known for their breakfasts here. Actually, does Wendy's even
- 15:07Speaker 1: have breakfast? I don't think I've ever been there for it,
- 15:11Speaker 1: or even seen a breakfast food on the menu. So
- 15:14Speaker 1: we stopped there to eat. We sit down, order, wait, receive, eat,
- 15:19Speaker 1: and pay for our order. I think you have that
- 15:22Speaker 1: out of order a little bit. When we finish our order,
- 15:27Speaker 1: we go back to our car, and we are shocked
- 15:30Speaker 1: to find it in a really abnormal state. All of
- 15:33Speaker 1: the windows are broken, except for the front one. There
- 15:38Speaker 1: is glass inside our car, as much as outside. Meaning
- 15:44Speaker 1: that the windows exploded and were not smashed from the outside.
- 15:49Speaker 1: And more disturbing, our suitcases are intact. My headphones that
- 15:54Speaker 1: were in the back seat are still in the same
- 15:57Speaker 1: place as they were when I left them. We weren't robbed.
- 16:02Speaker 1: We weren't carjacked. We weren't stolen. The windows just exploded.
- 16:08Speaker 1: All at the same time. As if Robert did it.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Oh my god, how does that even happen? How do
- 16:18Speaker 1: windows just randomly explode like that? If it was Robert,
- 16:23Speaker 1: I guess he didn't understand you, or didn't like that
- 16:26Speaker 1: you asked him in a different language, or maybe he
- 16:30Speaker 1: actually didn't approve of you taking the picture. No wait,
- 16:35Speaker 1: what if he didn't like that you sent the picture
- 16:38Speaker 1: to all your friends on Snapchat? I could see him
- 16:42Speaker 1: saying you could take the picture, but since you didn't
- 16:44Speaker 1: ask if you could send the picture to your friends,
- 16:47Speaker 1: maybe that pissed him off? I don't remember for sure,
- 16:51Speaker 1: but I do think you might have to ask for
- 16:54Speaker 1: that too. Honestly, I need to look that up. Because
- 17:00Speaker 1: I'm not trying to make Robert mad for putting him
- 17:03Speaker 1: in the thumbnail. Oh, also, should I do a deep
- 17:08Speaker 1: dive on Robert the doll? Eh, we'll see. Let's move
- 17:13Speaker 1: on to our next story. It's called, Pretty Sure the
- 17:17Speaker 1: Doll I Bought My Son is Haunted. So, let me
- 17:21Speaker 1: start off by saying I am not necessarily someone who
- 17:25Speaker 1: believes in the paranormal. I like to consider all possible
- 17:29Speaker 1: options first. Mostly because I am a single mom and
- 17:33Speaker 1: wouldn't even know where to start without help. I have
- 17:38Speaker 1: a if I don't look at it, it won't look
- 17:40Speaker 1: at me policy. That being said, let me lay out
- 17:45Speaker 1: what's been going on and maybe someone can help me.
- 17:50Speaker 1: About a month ago, it was my son's birthday. I'm
- 17:53Speaker 1: a single mom and I don't have a lot of
- 17:56Speaker 1: cash to throw around. But he knew exactly what he wanted.
- 18:01Speaker 1: He's been obsessed with this weird vintage doll from 30
- 18:05Speaker 1: years ago. This old pull-to-talk one. He's a weird kid,
- 18:11Speaker 1: but I love him. Naturally, I can't afford a vintage toy.
- 18:17Speaker 1: They were going on eBay for $ 300. I mention it
- 18:22Speaker 1: to my coworker. He says he has an old one
- 18:25Speaker 1: from when he was a kid in his attic. and
- 18:28Speaker 1: would sell it to me dirt cheap. I paid, brought
- 18:32Speaker 1: it home to my son, and he was over the moon.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Win for mama. At least your coworker had one, and
- 18:41Speaker 1: didn't try to screw you over. Well, maybe that's not true,
- 18:47Speaker 1: since it seems like it's haunted, but at least for
- 18:50Speaker 1: a moment it was a win for sure. I wonder
- 18:53Speaker 1: if your coworker knew it was haunted or not. Cause
- 18:57Speaker 1: it is a little weird he was willing to sell
- 18:59Speaker 1: it to you for so cheap. Especially if you told
- 19:03Speaker 1: him what it was going for. But then again, he
- 19:06Speaker 1: could have just been a cool guy. I don't know.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Pretty much right away, he starts taking this thing around
- 19:13Speaker 1: with him everywhere he goes. And then one day, tells
- 19:18Speaker 1: me he talks to him while we were eating breakfast.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Uh oh, do we have another Robert? Cause sure does
- 19:26Speaker 1: sound familiar. My first thought is imaginary friend. Even when
- 19:32Speaker 1: he starts saying the doll is doing things on his own.
- 19:38Speaker 1: I want to also add that we had a trauma
- 19:40Speaker 1: happen in our house recently. We had someone close to
- 19:44Speaker 1: us pass away in a very sudden accident. And my
- 19:48Speaker 1: son was there when it happened. No, the baby! I
- 19:52Speaker 1: hate that he was there. This is another reason I
- 19:58Speaker 1: decided to kind of let it go when he started
- 20:00Speaker 1: saying this stuff. I saw it as maybe his way
- 20:05Speaker 1: of coping, and his therapist, got him one right away,
- 20:10Speaker 1: suggested I just let him try to ride it out,
- 20:14Speaker 1: and he would bring it up with him in therapy.
- 20:17Speaker 1: But here's the thing, though. I'm starting to see it
- 20:21Speaker 1: lying around the house when I get up in the
- 20:24Speaker 1: middle of the night. I feel like there is something
- 20:27Speaker 1: really wrong with it. Because it keeps saying its catchphrase
- 20:32Speaker 1: and laughing when my son isn't even close enough to
- 20:35Speaker 1: it to pull the string. I swear, I heard it
- 20:39Speaker 1: call my name the other day, and I feel like
- 20:42Speaker 1: I'm losing my mind. I am really, really freaked out here.
- 20:48Speaker 1: I've seen my fair share of horror movies, but it
- 20:52Speaker 1: happening in real life is a whole different story. Advice
- 20:56Speaker 1: on what to do? Yeah, I think you have a
- 21:00Speaker 1: haunted doll in your hands. The spirit could be harmless,
- 21:04Speaker 1: but if you don't want it there, tell it to
- 21:07Speaker 1: leave and cleanse the hell out of that doll. Cleanse
- 21:11Speaker 1: the house as well. Just do what you can to
- 21:14Speaker 1: get the spirit to leave, and to leave your son alone.
- 21:18Speaker 1: After all, his safety should come first. But again, if
- 21:21Speaker 1: it doesn't seem like it's hurting anyone, I don't see
- 21:25Speaker 1: the harm of letting it stay. I know that didn't
- 21:29Speaker 1: sound like a lot of advice, but it really is
- 21:32Speaker 1: the best thing to do is just tell it to leave.
- 21:35Speaker 1: And to cleanse in the way that feels most comfortable
- 21:37Speaker 1: to you. Other than that, I don't know what to
- 21:41Speaker 1: do about a haunted doll. And I'm sure getting rid
- 21:45Speaker 1: of the doll is not even an option. So you're
- 21:48Speaker 1: just going to have to be firm with it. For
- 21:52Speaker 1: this next story, I actually found it in a post called,
- 21:56Speaker 1: Tell Me Your Scary Doll Slash Toy Story. I'm aware
- 22:02Speaker 1: of how ridiculous it sounds, but I swear to God,
- 22:06Speaker 1: this is what I experienced. And keep in mind, it
- 22:10Speaker 1: is coming from the perspective of an 8-10 year old.
- 22:14Speaker 1: In elementary school, this girl, Amy, bought a pony toy
- 22:18Speaker 1: from the book fair. My friends, Sadie Alice. Um, I
- 22:25Speaker 1: thought that was just one girl's name for a second.
- 22:28Speaker 1: And was about to say, whose white mom named their
- 22:32Speaker 1: child Sadie Alice? I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if
- 22:35Speaker 1: somebody did that. And was just trying to give this
- 22:38Speaker 1: child a unique name. I know my mom sure did
- 22:42Speaker 1: that to me. So nobody come for me because I
- 22:47Speaker 1: get to make fun of this because I am a
- 22:48Speaker 1: victim of this exact thing. But anyways, those are two
- 22:52Speaker 1: people's names. That is Sadie and Alice. My friends and
- 22:57Speaker 1: I always harassed her about it, asking if we could
- 23:01Speaker 1: have it, but of course, she always refused. I mean,
- 23:05Speaker 1: it is her toy. She can do what she wants.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Gave it a few months, and we all kind of
- 23:11Speaker 1: admitted defeat and forgot about the toy. Out of nowhere,
- 23:16Speaker 1: Amy gave the toy away to Sadie, with no explanation.
- 23:21Speaker 1: But after a few days, Sadie told Alice and I
- 23:24Speaker 1: the toy was possessed. Sadie said the toy would turn
- 23:29Speaker 1: and look at her. One night, she had lined all
- 23:33Speaker 1: of her pony toys up on her dresser, opposite the door,
- 23:37Speaker 1: facing the wall. She left the room, and as soon
- 23:41Speaker 1: as she got through the doorway, she realized she forgot something,
- 23:44Speaker 1: turned around, and they were all facing her. Me and
- 23:50Speaker 1: Alice kind of slightly agreed Sadie was lying, but playing
- 23:54Speaker 1: along with it, asking her questions about it, I asked
- 23:58Speaker 1: if I could have it for the night to see
- 24:00Speaker 1: for myself, and Sadie agreed. She brings it to school,
- 24:06Speaker 1: and I bring it home. I told my brother about it.
- 24:10Speaker 1: We joked about it being possessed when I set it
- 24:13Speaker 1: on a table and it fell over. He was the
- 24:18Speaker 1: only person in the house aware of this toy. I
- 24:22Speaker 1: set up my own experiment in the bathroom. I grabbed
- 24:26Speaker 1: some pony toys of my own and set them all
- 24:28Speaker 1: up on a shelf, one facing behind the door, one
- 24:32Speaker 1: facing the shower, one facing the sink, and the pony
- 24:36Speaker 1: facing the wall behind the shelf. Damn, you weren't playing around.
- 24:42Speaker 1: You really wanted to see if your friend was lying
- 24:44Speaker 1: or not, huh? But I don't blame you. We've all
- 24:48Speaker 1: been there. I posted up, watching from the toilet. I
- 24:54Speaker 1: sat there, maybe 5-15 minutes, and nothing happened. I decided
- 25:00Speaker 1: it was fake, decided to use the bathroom, and go
- 25:03Speaker 1: on with my night. Hold on now, you did it wrong.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Your friend wasn't looking when they moved. You should have
- 25:11Speaker 1: left the room and maybe kept an eye on your
- 25:13Speaker 1: brother and parents, but still be where the toys couldn't
- 25:17Speaker 1: see you. Then you go back in the room, kind
- 25:19Speaker 1: of like your friend did. If you want to do
- 25:22Speaker 1: an experiment, you have to do exactly what your friend did.
- 25:28Speaker 1: As soon as I walked through the doorway, I realized
- 25:31Speaker 1: I forgot to wash my hands. When I turned back around,
- 25:35Speaker 1: All of them were facing me, except for the one
- 25:37Speaker 1: that was particularly hard to stand up. It had fallen
- 25:41Speaker 1: over without making a sound, and all in a matter
- 25:45Speaker 1: of seconds. See, what did I say? You weren't doing
- 25:50Speaker 1: the experiment right. And when you did, it gave you
- 25:54Speaker 1: the same horrifying results. Yay, I guess. Keep in mind,
- 25:59Speaker 1: I was the only person in the bathroom. I just
- 26:02Speaker 1: used it. And even if somehow someone was in the bathroom,
- 26:08Speaker 1: this all happened in a matter of seconds. They all
- 26:12Speaker 1: would have had to move at once. I cried, ran
- 26:17Speaker 1: to my mom, and explained what happened. She is a
- 26:21Speaker 1: superstitious woman. She was pissed I brought something like that
- 26:26Speaker 1: in the home without telling her. She put it in
- 26:29Speaker 1: a Tupperware with salt and threw it away. I went
- 26:33Speaker 1: back to school and told Sadie what happened. I asked
- 26:37Speaker 1: if she has any idea why it's possessed. She said
- 26:41Speaker 1: shortly after Amy gave it away, they had a sleepover
- 26:46Speaker 1: and they wanted to summon demons. She said, quote, they
- 26:50Speaker 1: put books around and said an ancient chant they found
- 26:53Speaker 1: on the internet. She didn't elaborate further what that even means.
- 27:00Speaker 1: and didn't remember the chant or website. She believed whatever
- 27:05Speaker 1: ritual they found and did made the toy possessed. Or
- 27:10Speaker 1: at least that was her only explanation. Not gonna lie,
- 27:16Speaker 1: that sounds like your typical sleepover with a bunch of girls.
- 27:20Speaker 1: Do a little gossiping, eat some snacks, do some witchcraft,
- 27:24Speaker 1: and end the night by summoning a demon. Don't act
- 27:28Speaker 1: like you never did this at a sleepover. I know
- 27:31Speaker 1: you did. This does explain why Amy might have given
- 27:37Speaker 1: it to Sadie and not one of you. Your mom
- 27:40Speaker 1: might have done the right thing by putting it in
- 27:42Speaker 1: salt and throwing it out. Hopefully no one found it.
- 27:48Speaker 1: For our last one, it's from the same post. Okay,
- 27:52Speaker 1: I was around six. This was early 90s. My dad
- 27:57Speaker 1: was working an overnight job. We lived in East San
- 28:01Speaker 1: Diego near a canyon. I was already scared knowing that
- 28:05Speaker 1: my dad wasn't home. And when I heard the coyotes howling,
- 28:09Speaker 1: it upset me, even though I was used to hearing them.
- 28:14Speaker 1: I went to my parents' room and my mom let
- 28:16Speaker 1: me get in bed to sleep. For a minute, I
- 28:20Speaker 1: thought you were home alone at six. I wouldn't be
- 28:23Speaker 1: surprised since it was the 90s, but still. I had
- 28:28Speaker 1: a doll that came with a remote control walker. There
- 28:31Speaker 1: were buttons on the remote to make it move back
- 28:34Speaker 1: and forth, and to make it laugh. If you look
- 28:38Speaker 1: up Hasbro doll with walker, you can see it. My
- 28:43Speaker 1: doll was in my room next door, and we heard
- 28:46Speaker 1: it laughing. It continued happening. I don't know for how
- 28:51Speaker 1: long or how many times because I was little, but
- 28:55Speaker 1: I remember it was freaking my mom out. So she
- 28:58Speaker 1: went to get it and stuck it up on the
- 29:01Speaker 1: shelf in my closet and shut the bifold doors. I
- 29:07Speaker 1: don't blame her. A kid's toy going off in the
- 29:09Speaker 1: middle of the night is way more freaky than it
- 29:12Speaker 1: should be. Especially if you know no one is messing
- 29:16Speaker 1: with it. The doll started walking back and forth on
- 29:22Speaker 1: the shelf, banging against the door, and we could hear it.
- 29:28Speaker 1: By this time, I remember being scared and my mom
- 29:32Speaker 1: was trying to stay calm. She went and took the
- 29:35Speaker 1: batteries out of the remote and the walker, thinking it
- 29:38Speaker 1: was some sort of glitch. But the fucking doll kept laughing.
- 29:44Speaker 1: She finally got up and took the doll, walker, and
- 29:47Speaker 1: remote to the outside garbage and I never saw it again.
- 29:52Speaker 1: She told my dad about it in the morning because
- 29:54Speaker 1: she was freaked out too. She still tells the story.
- 29:59Speaker 1: A lot of weird things went on in that house.
- 30:02Speaker 1: This was just one of them. I wish I could
- 30:05Speaker 1: walk through that house again. I hate that that doll
- 30:10Speaker 1: was still laughing after she took the batteries out. I
- 30:13Speaker 1: had a Furby that started talking after being in a
- 30:16Speaker 1: box for years and didn't have batteries in it. I
- 30:20Speaker 1: launched him across the room. That shit is scary. And
- 30:24Speaker 1: I love that Furby. But we don't do that. We
- 30:27Speaker 1: don't scare the shit out of me and think I'm
- 30:29Speaker 1: not going to punt you. Also, it's funny how even
- 30:34Speaker 1: if a house is haunted, you still want to go
- 30:36Speaker 1: back to it, isn't it? I know it sounds crazy,
- 30:40Speaker 1: but I feel the same way about my childhood home.
- 30:43Speaker 1: If the people that bought it after us didn't ruin
- 30:46Speaker 1: everything about it, I'd love to walk through it again.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Maybe even confront whatever might still be there. But sadly,
- 30:54Speaker 1: it would make me cry if I ever went back
- 30:56Speaker 1: there and saw how they destroyed my dad's hard work.
- 31:01Speaker 1: So luckily, for those spirits, they'll never see me again.
- 31:05Speaker 1: At least physically. Also, to the people that ruined my
- 31:08Speaker 1: childhood home, I truly hope my dad is haunting you.
- 31:13Speaker 1: I also hope whatever the fuck was in that house
- 31:15Speaker 1: is also haunting you. Because you suck. Well, that's all
- 31:21Speaker 1: the haunted doll stories I have for today. If you
- 31:24Speaker 1: have a haunted doll story you'd like to share, consider
- 31:28Speaker 1: sending me an email. I might even read it here
- 31:31Speaker 1: on the podcast. If you have a story about a
- 31:34Speaker 1: haunted doll or any paranormal stories, please send them my
