- 0:14SPEAKER_02: I'm Steve.
- 0:15SPEAKER_01: And I'm Jeff.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: I think if we're uh again, these cue cards need to be right in front of me.
- 0:22SPEAKER_01: That's why you you and I both, we need help.
- 0:25SPEAKER_02: We do.
- 0:26SPEAKER_02: I get you know, my eyes are getting worse.
- 0:28SPEAKER_02: I tell you.
- 0:28SPEAKER_02: Last week I could read these things and today I can't.
- 0:30SPEAKER_02: I don't know what I don't know what's going on.
- 0:32SPEAKER_02: I don't, I don't, I don't know.
- 0:33SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 0:34SPEAKER_02: But Jeff, it looks like you're making quite a good recovery from your COVID experience.
- 0:39SPEAKER_02: You must be you must be hitting the 409 pretty hard.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: I am.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: You know, my hair hasn't grown back yet, but but I'm I'm pretty confident that that will come.
- 0:47SPEAKER_01: And it's it's usually the last step of the process.
- 0:50SPEAKER_02: I would give it time because here, I mean, it didn't fall out all at once.
- 0:54SPEAKER_02: It's probably not going to go grow back all at once.
- 0:56SPEAKER_02: That's just that's just science, you know.
- 0:58SPEAKER_02: That I mean, it's just you know, so give it some time and and who knows, you might have a full head of hair someday.
- 1:03SPEAKER_01: Well, we can only hope.
- 1:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: And and if we do, Steve, I'll certainly show it um one way or another on our website.
- 1:11SPEAKER_02: So we'll do, yeah, we'll maybe we'll do, you know, I some podcasts do a video of the podcast, they do an audio version, but then they also do a video.
- 1:18SPEAKER_02: We should do a video of that one and show your hair.
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: That would bring the listeners in and the viewers, especially that you know, hopeless bald population that are just looking, which I imagine will result in every every bald person trying to get COVID.
- 1:34SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 1:34SPEAKER_01: So that when they when they recovered, they their hair would grow.
- 1:37SPEAKER_02: Get COVID, drink the 409, get over the COVID, and you grow new hair.
- 1:41SPEAKER_02: It's it's just I mean, uh Dr.
- 1:43SPEAKER_02: A.
- 1:43SPEAKER_02: Dr.
- 1:44SPEAKER_02: A said that.
- 1:44SPEAKER_01: Well, you said it's science, just Pierce.
- 1:46SPEAKER_02: It's just science, it's just science.
- 1:48SPEAKER_02: But and Jeff, and Jeff, speaking of science, speaking of science, you're not gonna believe who we've got as a guest tonight.
- 1:54SPEAKER_02: We got another great guest tonight.
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: Dr.
- 1:57SPEAKER_01: Fauci.
- 1:58SPEAKER_02: No, but Doctor, you're you're you're a third, right?
- 2:00SPEAKER_02: Oh, oh, you got doctor, right?
- 2:03SPEAKER_02: Good, but yes, but you know, you know, our very first podcast.
- 2:07SPEAKER_02: Remember, remember the very first podcast in the dim recesses of history?
- 2:11SPEAKER_02: I don't know if you can remember back that far, but months ago, we did our very first podcast with my psychologist.
- 2:17SPEAKER_02: You remember?
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: Dr.
- 2:19SPEAKER_02: Fields, yes, Dr.
- 2:21SPEAKER_02: Fields.
- 2:21SPEAKER_02: And yeah, ran into a little problem with I continuing to being her to seeing her, you know, but uh, but anyway, but but I digress.
- 2:29SPEAKER_02: But but she did agree to come back on tonight.
- 2:32SPEAKER_02: So I think this is a good positive step.
- 2:34SPEAKER_02: I mean, this maybe is we we're doing what we can do, you know.
- 2:37SPEAKER_02: I think this is a good step.
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: And you know, I I haven't even thought about her since she did the uh the podcast, so I'll be interested to to kind of catch up with her at this point.
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: So uh Dr.
- 2:50SPEAKER_01: Fields, are you there?
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: I am, Jeff.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: Um, hi, how are you doing?
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: We just had a session last week.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: I'm a little confused now.
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Steve, I was gonna tell you.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: Um, I I I was gonna tell you that you know that I'm seeing Dr.
- 3:07SPEAKER_02: Fields now.
- 3:08SPEAKER_02: And you're seeing Dr.
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: Fields, yeah.
- 3:11SPEAKER_01: Not she's not really helping me at this point, but I just want you to know seeing her, but well, yeah, just a matter of time.
- 3:20SPEAKER_02: She'll help you eventually.
- 3:21SPEAKER_02: I mean, you know, yeah, it's like the hair thing.
- 3:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah, wow.
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: And you know, Steve, she's a psychologist.
- 3:26SPEAKER_01: I wanted a psychiatrist because you know, I need the drugs, but uh well, Tony's got the drugs.
- 3:31SPEAKER_02: Tony's still.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: Is he a doctor as as well?
- 3:34SPEAKER_02: Uh what?
- 3:36SPEAKER_02: Come on, no, okay.
- 3:37SPEAKER_01: Anyways, anyway, she says nothing but good things about you, Steve.
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: I just want you to know she's uh I mean she's got all kinds of you know stories about you, and you know, she just thinks of you in a very positive way.
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: Would you would you agree?
- 3:56SPEAKER_02: Hi, Steve.
- 3:58SPEAKER_02: Hi, Doc.
- 3:58SPEAKER_02: I I guess I should apologize and I kind of made a mistake.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 4:05SPEAKER_02: And I'm I I'm glad that you agreed that could at least come on the show and we can we can kind of see each other this way if we're not for Jeff.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: This is for Jeff.
- 4:15SPEAKER_02: Oh, okay.
- 4:16SPEAKER_02: I guess you've moved on.
- 4:19SPEAKER_02: It's a good sign.
- 4:19SPEAKER_02: I guess she's moved on, Jeff, you know.
- 4:21SPEAKER_02: I mean, I don't know.
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: I prefer to think that she's just in a better place, you know, not as much moved on as you know, that maybe kind of moved up.
- 4:30SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: Well, I I'm seeing you in terms of well, my problems are work, are are much worse than yours.
- 4:37SPEAKER_01: That's what I mean by moving up.
- 4:38SPEAKER_02: You know, that's probably true, but but I digress, but still, you know, she's seeing you now.
- 4:43SPEAKER_02: Oh wow.
- 4:44SPEAKER_02: Well, doc, I I is is Jeff as interesting as I was because I I had some pretty good sessions, pretty interesting sessions with you, right?
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: Interesting isn't the goal.
- 4:54SPEAKER_02: Oh wow.
- 4:55SPEAKER_02: Gosh, I thought that was trying to be entertaining and fun, was was the whole goal of of seeing someone, you know, engaging and no, it's about improving and and healing.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: Oh that's not anything you ever did.
- 5:11SPEAKER_02: No, I'm not so good at that.
- 5:12SPEAKER_02: No, I I'm good at a few things, but not not those few things.
- 5:17SPEAKER_01: Well, and I I I think I owe the good doctor an apology because I thought that's what I was being funny and you know, interesting.
- 5:24SPEAKER_01: And no, I wasn't.
- 5:26SPEAKER_01: No.
- 5:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 5:28SPEAKER_01: Sounds like I do need help.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: Because you are healing.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: You're healing and improving.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: I am healing.
- 5:33SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 5:34SPEAKER_02: So you'll be healed, but I'll still be funny.
- 5:37SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 5:38SPEAKER_02: So I got that.
- 5:39SPEAKER_02: I got that.
- 5:40SPEAKER_01: We all know that open source need to be closed.
- 5:44SPEAKER_02: Oh, if you've been looking at my medical records again, you've been looking at my yeah, you know, but doc you didn't show him, did you?
- 5:50SPEAKER_02: Come on.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: I don't have those records.
- 5:52SPEAKER_02: Oh, well, I your notes maybe.
- 5:54SPEAKER_02: I think I talked about that.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: I feel like I need to clean my couch now.
- 5:58SPEAKER_02: You probably should.
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you might want to you might want to clean it after our session yesterday, too, because I was I was pretty excited and you know I found I found a raisinette in your couch one time.
- 6:09SPEAKER_02: At least I hope it was a raisinette.
- 6:11SPEAKER_02: I'm not sure.
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: I love raisinettes.
- 6:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah, was gonna eat it, but then I you know, like I wasn't sure, you know what I mean?
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: Maybe you were healing, you know.
- 6:18SPEAKER_02: I was I was like healing in my own way, and I just maybe I had trouble communicating that to you, you know.
- 6:25SPEAKER_02: I I don't know.
- 6:26SPEAKER_01: Are raisinettes a metaphor here?
- 6:28SPEAKER_01: Doc, I I feel like I've gained so much insight since I've started seeing you, and like I'm seeing things that I never saw before.
- 6:36SPEAKER_01: And so I think of a raisinette as like the the uh healthy, beautiful fruit covered in you know, sugar and chocolate and things that are bad for you.
- 6:47SPEAKER_01: And I feel like in some ways, maybe that's who I am a beautiful fruit that's just covered with chocolate.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: That's really insightful, and we we definitely need to talk about that.
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: And honestly, I much prefer to talk about things like that than say cars.
- 7:05SPEAKER_02: Oh, we're gonna go there, are we?
- 7:07SPEAKER_02: Oh, okay.
- 7:08SPEAKER_02: I didn't know it was gonna get to this level, but have you ever found that Impala?
- 7:14SPEAKER_02: You know, no, I I get calls periodically, but they're either not the right year or they got the hips are a different model, or or I don't have the money.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: And that's the problem with you, Steve.
- 7:27SPEAKER_00: You can't even accept an Impala for an Impala.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: It has to be the ideal Impala.
- 7:33SPEAKER_02: Well, because that that it was so beautiful when I was a kid.
- 7:36SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh, it was so beautiful.
- 7:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we we in fact a couple weeks ago we had my mom on, and you know, my mom was saying, Yeah, you used to go off, you borrowed that car a lot, and you could go off for hours.
- 7:48SPEAKER_02: It was an important part of my growing up.
- 7:50SPEAKER_02: And I don't know, it's it's if I get a new Impala, I don't know that it'll take the place of seeing you, Doc, but I don't know, it'd be something.
- 8:00SPEAKER_01: Now, Dr.
- 8:00SPEAKER_01: Fields, God, I feel horrible, but I need this just to ask this.
- 8:05SPEAKER_01: I'm not being charged for this session, am I?
- 8:07SPEAKER_01: Because Steve is like going on and on about this car, and I think that you're seeing me, not Steve anymore.
- 8:14SPEAKER_01: So I just want to make sure I'm not being charged.
- 8:16SPEAKER_00: No, you're not being charged.
- 8:17SPEAKER_00: I just I'm so conflicted here.
- 8:20SPEAKER_01: Well, it doesn't really matter if you're charging or not, since I I usually don't pay.
- 8:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah, see, Jeff, I was gonna say, don't worry about the charging.
- 8:27SPEAKER_02: I already owe her a ton of money.
- 8:29SPEAKER_02: She's probably charging me.
- 8:30SPEAKER_02: She's gonna write all that up, she'll have a big tax deduction.
- 8:32SPEAKER_02: It's not not, don't worry about it.
- 8:34SPEAKER_02: Ooh, psych.
- 8:35SPEAKER_02: Big big tax loss.
- 8:37SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 8:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 8:38SPEAKER_00: I'm rethinking everything now.
- 8:41SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 8:42SPEAKER_01: Yes, I appreciate that.
- 8:43SPEAKER_01: You know, I want you to be thinking as many times as you can about me and my situation and you know my my issue with uh chocolate.
- 8:55SPEAKER_02: Maybe maybe that's not what she's rethinking.
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: It's not.
- 9:00SPEAKER_00: No, I'm just I'm so conflicted now because I sit in this room and I listen to both of you talk and I wonder what I'm doing with my life.
- 9:10SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 9:11SPEAKER_01: Well, I think you're getting famous by being on our show.
- 9:14SPEAKER_02: That's one thing I I would say that you know You're getting great public exposure.
- 9:19SPEAKER_02: Millions of people listen to this, including we had a doctor fly in all the way from Australia just to be on this show.
- 9:25unknown: Wow.
- 9:25SPEAKER_01: Well, he wasn't he wasn't just to be on the show, but you know, oh we we saw him at the airport, and I remember grabbing his bag and telling him that I was gonna take it to his hotel.
- 9:36SPEAKER_01: So, you know, it was maybe it wasn't as completely honest and pure.
- 9:41SPEAKER_01: I don't know if I told you that, Steve.
- 9:42SPEAKER_01: But you know, the truth is, Steve, in my session, there's a lot of stuff I tell and I hold back that I don't share with you because to be honest with you, you're from the future and I feel like you kind of already know this.
- 9:55SPEAKER_02: Well, I do, but you know, being from the future is a huge burden.
- 9:59SPEAKER_02: And you know, doc, we we really I don't know that we really talked much about my being from the future and what that how that messes with your head, you know.
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: There's this wonderful quote my alone feels so good.
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: I'll only have you if you're sweeter than my solitude.
- 10:14SPEAKER_00: And I think that that can be applied to my professional career as well.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: Steve, Jeff, I don't believe you're sweeter than my solitude.
- 10:25SPEAKER_02: Wow, Jeff, she's breaking up with both of us.
- 10:28SPEAKER_01: What I didn't pick that uh Steve, I'm sorry, I didn't sense that.
- 10:31SPEAKER_01: Is that what you're for the future?
- 10:32SPEAKER_02: I I know I know what happens here.
- 10:34SPEAKER_01: Dr.
- 10:34SPEAKER_01: Fields, is that true that you're you're ending our relationship?
- 10:38SPEAKER_01: You were with Steve for a really long time, and you just started with me.
- 10:42SPEAKER_01: I I have a lot more to offer, I promise.
- 10:45SPEAKER_01: Jeff, you're a classic.
- 10:46SPEAKER_02: You're a classic rebound patient.
- 10:48SPEAKER_02: I mean, please, come on.
- 10:49SPEAKER_02: You know, you knew this wasn't gonna last that long.
- 10:51SPEAKER_02: Come on.
- 10:52SPEAKER_01: You know, this is the longest relationship I've had with a woman in the last 25 years.
- 10:57SPEAKER_01: So you know, and I've been married the whole time, so there you go.
- 11:01SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 11:02SPEAKER_02: You know, you know, I think now might be a good time to let us all think, let us all go to our solitude for a minute.
- 11:09SPEAKER_02: And Jeff, we've got a repeat sponsor tonight.
- 11:14SPEAKER_02: You're gonna love it.
- 11:15SPEAKER_02: You remember, in fact, it's a repeat sponsor from last week.
- 11:18SPEAKER_02: You remember the uh touch by an angel shop?
- 11:21SPEAKER_02: The the one I do.
- 11:22SPEAKER_02: Oh, they were so thrilled with last week's show.
- 11:26SPEAKER_02: Uh, they've all got COVID now, of course, but they were so thrilled with last week's show that they wanted to run the ad again.
- 11:33SPEAKER_02: I said, Yeah, we'll let you do that, sure.
- 11:35SPEAKER_02: So let me uh let me cue this thing up here and uh let's let's go to commercial.
- 11:41SPEAKER_02: Friend, as a person of faith, are you tired of being told that your natural impulse to touch yourself is a sin?
- 11:48SPEAKER_02: Well, you can turn that sin into a blessing, brother.
- 11:52SPEAKER_02: That is our mission at the Metro's premier faith-based adult novelty and massage emporium, Touched by an Angel.
- 12:00SPEAKER_02: At Touch by an Angel, we give the faithful a heavenly experience.

- 12:41SPEAKER_02: So, so Jeff, you know, I gotta tell you, I, you know, last week I said I gotta get to this store.
- 12:46SPEAKER_02: I went to this store, and you wouldn't believe some of the things they've got there.
- 12:51SPEAKER_02: Ooh.
- 12:51SPEAKER_02: I did the the whole seraphic package, you know, that whole the oh Hosanna was like one of the many things I wound up shouting.
- 13:00SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, it was it was beautiful.
- 13:02SPEAKER_02: It was beautiful.
- 13:03SPEAKER_01: Well, and and and Steve, you know, you mentioning being touched by an angel.
- 13:06SPEAKER_01: Uh Dr.
- 13:07SPEAKER_01: Fields, I've been touched by an angel before, and we haven't even gotten to that part of the counseling.
- 13:13SPEAKER_01: And I, you know, I really wanted to go over that with you.
- 13:16SPEAKER_01: That part of the counseling?
- 13:18SPEAKER_01: Being touched by somebody named Angel, you know.
- 13:22SPEAKER_02: Oh, you mean Angel, that guy, Tony took the his place, the guy who used to sell us?
- 13:26SPEAKER_02: Uh yeah, you got touched by Angel.
- 13:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he sm slapped you a couple times because you didn't.
- 13:31SPEAKER_01: Steve, Steve, I don't know where this comes from, and I think it may take six to eight sessions with uh Dr.
- 13:38SPEAKER_01: Fields before I understand.
- 13:40SPEAKER_01: It just blurted out.
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: I didn't even wasn't even aware that I was touched by anybody.
- 13:45SPEAKER_01: Oh, and all of a sudden it came out.
- 13:48SPEAKER_01: Dr.
- 13:48SPEAKER_01: Fields, don't you think I need your help still for at least a little while longer?
- 13:52SPEAKER_00: You definitely need help.
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: I'll agree with that.
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: My help, I don't know that I can do that anymore.
- 14:00SPEAKER_02: You know, Doctor, I I I know that I made a big mistake in recording our session.
- 14:05SPEAKER_02: That was not a good thing, but I I just I had good motives, I had a good goal in mind.
- 14:13SPEAKER_02: I wanted to show what a good therapist you were and how helpful you were to me and how how much seeing you meant to me.
- 14:20SPEAKER_02: Oh, geez, just lay it on, Steve.
- 14:23SPEAKER_02: Jeff, you might be working.
- 14:25SPEAKER_02: Come on, stop.
- 14:26SPEAKER_02: I'm right here.
- 14:27SPEAKER_02: Oh, oh, that's right.
- 14:29SPEAKER_02: I keep forgetting we're hooked up to these microphones.
- 14:31SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh.
- 14:32SPEAKER_02: Oh, oh, if we had had these on when we were kids, I we'd probably be in jail now.
- 14:37SPEAKER_02: We'd be getting out about now.
- 14:38SPEAKER_02: We're pretty old.
- 14:39SPEAKER_01: We'd be probably be getting out about well, Doctor, before you answer that, I just want to tell you that there's been this pattern with Steve and I over the years.
- 14:47SPEAKER_01: You know, I started going to seeing this dentist, and all of a sudden Steve starts to see the dentist, and the dentist drops me and ends up, you know, working with Steve because Steve has, you know, better teeth than me.
- 15:01SPEAKER_01: And you remember the dermatologist, Steve, and I had that rash on the inside of my thigh, and you know, and same thing happened.
- 15:09SPEAKER_01: You know, Steve came in with a cooler rash.
- 15:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Doctor, I was a cooler took the rejection.
- 15:15SPEAKER_02: It was it was like in the shape of the Alaska flag.
- 15:18SPEAKER_02: He said, This is this is beautiful.
- 15:20SPEAKER_02: I don't know how you did this, but this is why he took pictures of it.
- 15:23SPEAKER_02: He said it has the pictures up still.
- 15:25SPEAKER_01: It was pretty cool.
- 15:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but but but Doctor, I I just don't know if I could take any more rejection.
- 15:31SPEAKER_00: Did you ever think of how the dentist feels, how the dermatologist feels, how I feel?
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: We don't want to be prizes in your battle with each other.
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: We just want to do our jobs.
- 15:41SPEAKER_01: Well, the one thing that all of them had in common is that they could prescribe drugs, you know, and you can't burn.
- 15:50SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 15:50SPEAKER_01: You know, uh Novicaine is so underrated.
- 15:54SPEAKER_01: I just want to tell you.
- 15:55SPEAKER_02: Well, it's it's it's all in the volume, it's just it's it's the portion size.
- 15:59SPEAKER_02: That's you know, you just gotta adjust that, and and you'd be surprised it could do some amazing things.
- 16:04SPEAKER_02: Yes, yes.
- 16:04SPEAKER_02: But Jeff, you're only seeing her.
- 16:07SPEAKER_02: You are you only wanted to see a therapist for the drugs?
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: Or he just said it.
- 16:14SPEAKER_01: That's uh no, I it's I don't know why I said it again.
- 16:20SPEAKER_01: Doc, I'm saying things I don't understand.
- 16:22SPEAKER_01: I I need some counseling to help me understand why I keep saying things like that.
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: I think the two of you need some couples counseling, but not for me.
- 16:34SPEAKER_00: This competition that you have with each other, it's unhealthy.
- 16:37SPEAKER_02: So now if if we do couples counseling, would we get both of our wives in too?
- 16:43SPEAKER_02: And then we could do like a it'd be kind of like like a Bob and Carol and Ted and Alice sort of thing, maybe.
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: That's between you and the therapist that you end up with, but that would be more like mixed doubles counseling.
- 16:56SPEAKER_02: Ooh, well, Steve's one sign.
- 16:59SPEAKER_02: I lost six two, six one, you know, but it was uh but it was fun.
- 17:03SPEAKER_02: I enjoyed it.
- 17:04SPEAKER_01: And Steve, I think you're uh I think you're not thinking out of the box here.
- 17:08SPEAKER_01: You re you realize we have just had your your mother and my father on the show, and I think that if we did counseling with the four of us, oh Jeff.
- 17:19SPEAKER_01: Maybe maybe there may be some romance.
- 17:22SPEAKER_01: I don't mean romance with me and your mom, but with uh with your dad and your mom, your dad.
- 17:28SPEAKER_01: I mean, I'm I'm just saying this could work.
- 17:30SPEAKER_02: You know, in fact, Jeff, that's a great idea.
- 17:33SPEAKER_02: I think we should because we talked about introducing them.
- 17:35SPEAKER_02: I think we should go ahead and introduce them and and then as soon as they meet each other, we'll push them right into couples therapy with us because that that's that's gonna be really helpful.
- 17:44SPEAKER_02: You know, that's a great way to start, I think.
- 17:47SPEAKER_01: It's it's a great idea.
- 17:48SPEAKER_01: Although I'm definitely gonna need some drugs if I'm gonna go into counseling with my father.
- 17:55SPEAKER_02: I talked to him yesterday.
- 17:56SPEAKER_02: No, he's he's he's got plenty.
- 17:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah, don't worry.
- 17:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah, no, it's good.
- 17:59SPEAKER_01: So so, doctor, are you reconsidering Steve at this point?
- 18:02SPEAKER_01: I you can tell me the truth.
- 18:04SPEAKER_01: I'm not gonna like do anything.
- 18:06SPEAKER_00: No, no, again.
- 18:08SPEAKER_01: Good.
- 18:09SPEAKER_00: You're not he's not sweeter than my solitude.
- 18:11SPEAKER_00: No, wow, I'd rather not have the income.
- 18:15SPEAKER_02: I remember a day where I was sweeter than your solitude.
- 18:20SPEAKER_02: You looked forward to our appointments.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: You once told me that I was the highlight of your day, and I bet your dermatologist was really impressed with that rash that you had.
- 18:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he was.
- 18:32SPEAKER_02: Oh I had to draw it on.
- 18:37SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
- 18:38SPEAKER_02: He had never seen teeth all through dental school, never saw teeth like mine.
- 18:42SPEAKER_02: Never saw them that they were just wonderful.
- 18:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I you know, and I think Steve, you probably were her her her she kiss.
- 18:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and uh, you know, uh sweet on the inside and wrapped in silver, kind of like a like a raisin it in the couch, you know.
- 19:00SPEAKER_02: It's like you don't really know it's there until you till you till you know it's there, you know.
- 19:05SPEAKER_01: I mean I agree.
- 19:06SPEAKER_01: Well, I think in some ways I've benefited already from this experience.
- 19:10SPEAKER_01: I don't feel bad, Steve, that uh we're losing Dr.
- 19:14SPEAKER_01: Fields as as our psychologists, I you know, because I feel like maybe there's hope for us in couples counseling.
- 19:22SPEAKER_02: Well, and and and let me just say to our listeners, to the loyal fans, to the people who make this podcast what it is, to the millions that are out there right now.
- 19:32SPEAKER_02: Dr.
- 19:33SPEAKER_02: Donna Fields is a wonderful therapist.
- 19:36SPEAKER_02: Now, she is she has rejected me, she is still a wonderful therapist, and you would do well to seek counseling with her.
- 19:44SPEAKER_00: I think I'm giving up my practice.
- 19:46SPEAKER_01: That's too bad because Dr.
- 19:48SPEAKER_01: Fields, we had a commercial slot open in a few weeks, and we were thinking maybe I don't know, maybe you could do a little advertising.
- 19:56SPEAKER_01: We could give witness to how good you are.
- 19:59SPEAKER_02: Testimonials, yes.
- 20:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah, how about that?
- 20:02SPEAKER_01: You would just be loaded up.
- 20:04SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
- 20:05SPEAKER_02: Could talk about all the great times we had.
- 20:07SPEAKER_02: I could say, look, and and you know, I talked about literally auto erotica, I mean, with cars, right?
- 20:12SPEAKER_02: I mean, literally.
- 20:14SPEAKER_02: And she was helpful and and she didn't really mind my recording.
- 20:19SPEAKER_02: Well, she did, but I did, you know, yeah, yeah.
- 20:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I guess she did.
- 20:23SPEAKER_02: I guess I that wouldn't be completely accurate.
- 20:26SPEAKER_01: But why don't why don't you let us help you, uh, Dr.
- 20:29SPEAKER_01: Fields?
- 20:29SPEAKER_01: I mean, you're probably not gonna ever get paid, so you might as well get it in the form of commercial time.
- 20:35SPEAKER_01: I that's what everyone else kind of gets.
- 20:38SPEAKER_01: So yeah, what do you think, Dr.
- 20:39SPEAKER_01: Fields?
- 20:40SPEAKER_01: 30 seconds spot?
- 20:42SPEAKER_01: You said millions of listeners?
- 20:44SPEAKER_02: Oh, millions, yes.
- 20:45SPEAKER_02: Uh Google Diuretics has us at like number one.
- 20:49SPEAKER_02: I'll think about it.
- 20:50SPEAKER_02: Now you gotta flip through.
- 20:53SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 20:54SPEAKER_00: I'm having a crisis here.
- 20:55SPEAKER_00: I gotta call my therapist.
- 20:57SPEAKER_01: Oh, so you does your therapist prescribes drugs?
- 21:00SPEAKER_00: No.
- 21:01unknown: Oh god.
- 21:02SPEAKER_02: Oh, wait, what is going on?
- 21:03SPEAKER_02: You're not you're not still going to that Dr.
- 21:05SPEAKER_02: Adler, the guy with the zoo issue, the zoo fetish.
- 21:08SPEAKER_02: Oh, you're not still going to him.
- 21:10SPEAKER_02: Oh, no, no, no, no, no.
- 21:11SPEAKER_02: Oh, tell me it's not him.
- 21:12SPEAKER_02: Tell me it's not him.
- 21:14SPEAKER_00: I can't tell you any.
- 21:17SPEAKER_00: No, no.
- 21:19SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 21:19SPEAKER_01: If if it's a if it's a guy, why don't we do couples therapy with you too?
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: No.
- 21:26SPEAKER_01: Hey, there's an idea.
- 21:28SPEAKER_01: I think it's a good idea.
- 21:29SPEAKER_01: I'll give my mom it out.
- 21:30SPEAKER_02: Get your dad.
- 21:31SPEAKER_02: We'll get uh this is the other the doc, the other doc, and we'll get uh Dr.
- 21:36SPEAKER_02: Fields here.
- 21:37SPEAKER_01: Would that be quadruple therapy?
- 21:40SPEAKER_01: What's six of them?
- 21:41SPEAKER_02: That'd be six ways.
- 21:43SPEAKER_02: This was such a mistake.
- 21:46SPEAKER_02: Oh, oh doc.
- 21:47SPEAKER_02: No, listen, you've been a great guest.
- 21:49SPEAKER_02: This is no, you're you're you're you're and in fact, and you're getting such good public attention now.
- 21:54SPEAKER_02: You're bringing you know it it's really a chance to bring public awareness of psychological.
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: Issues.
- 22:01SPEAKER_02: This is a wonderful opportunity.
- 22:03SPEAKER_02: You've got the uh kind of a public microphone here, and you can raise awareness about people because you're dealing with a lot of people like us who have these same issues that we have.
- 22:13SPEAKER_02: I mean, how many people out there are attracted to mid-60s Chevies?
- 22:16SPEAKER_02: I mean, I bet a bunch.
- 22:18SPEAKER_00: None, Steve.
- 22:19SPEAKER_00: None.
- 22:19SPEAKER_02: No, I I I bet there got to be millions.
- 22:22SPEAKER_01: And it doesn't, it doesn't take Freud when you look at a baby Ruth to realize why I'm attracted to uh chocolate.
- 22:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 22:30SPEAKER_01: You know, I'm just saying there's a lot of people out there that love baby roots.
- 22:35SPEAKER_02: Wait, wait, you know, Jeff, speaking of chocolate, you know, I know that you love chocolate and you eat a lot of raisinettes.
- 22:42SPEAKER_01: I do.
- 22:43SPEAKER_02: Dr.
- 22:44SPEAKER_02: Fields, were you seeing him when I was still seeing you?
- 22:47SPEAKER_02: Because I'm thinking you left that raisinette in that couch, Jeff.
- 22:50SPEAKER_00: No, raisinettes existed before he came to my office.
- 22:55SPEAKER_01: She's so wise.
- 22:56SPEAKER_01: Steve, I'm telling you, we need her.
- 22:59SPEAKER_01: We need her badly.
- 23:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 23:00SPEAKER_01: Either on the show or privately.
- 23:02SPEAKER_01: Dr.
- 23:03SPEAKER_01: Fields, please think about this, you know, in the future.
- 23:06SPEAKER_01: Well, Steve will see you in the future.
- 23:08SPEAKER_01: And uh if anything, being the selfless person I am, why don't you start counseling Steve again?
- 23:14SPEAKER_01: You know, I really enjoyed every time he had a session with you that he told me everything that happened.
- 23:19SPEAKER_01: It was great.
- 23:20SPEAKER_01: So, you know, I would at least benefit secondhand counseling.
- 23:25SPEAKER_01: There's there's only one thing better than secondhand counseling.
- 23:28SPEAKER_02: And so yeah, Jeff, I think you you you made a lot of progress when I was describing my sessions with Dr.
- 23:34SPEAKER_02: Fields.
- 23:35SPEAKER_02: I I think you you really you improved quite a bit.
- 23:37SPEAKER_02: You know, you got over that slump, you got over the uh the clinical depression that we were working on.
- 23:42SPEAKER_02: Well, the drugs help, but you were, you know, you got over it, you know.
- 23:46SPEAKER_02: So, Dr.
- 23:46SPEAKER_01: Fields, you have helped me.
- 23:47SPEAKER_01: You have helped me through Steve, you've helped me through yourself.
- 23:51SPEAKER_01: You should not blame yourself for choosing the wrong people to counsel.
- 23:56SPEAKER_01: I mean, I this was not your fault.
- 23:59SPEAKER_00: I just got a text message, and it's not me blaming myself.
- 24:02SPEAKER_00: I'm actually I'm up for a review because of coming on this show with an ex-patient and a current patient.
- 24:10SPEAKER_00: I I have to go.
- 24:11SPEAKER_00: I oh no.
- 24:13SPEAKER_02: Wow, good luck with that.
- 24:14SPEAKER_02: This could be a licensing thing.
- 24:16SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 24:17SPEAKER_02: So you can't do that.
- 24:17SPEAKER_01: That would be the second, is that the second doctor that would lose their license?
- 24:22SPEAKER_01: No, the other one was the uh Uber driver.
- 24:24SPEAKER_01: Do you remember Steve?
- 24:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we had that Uber driver on and he lost his Uber license.
- 24:29SPEAKER_01: You know, Dr.
- 24:30SPEAKER_01: Fields, I am so sorry.
- 24:32SPEAKER_01: And if there's anything we can do, anything more that we can do to help you, I I hope you'll uh get in touch with us.
- 24:40SPEAKER_02: You know, I bet I bet that's why that that professor from Sarah Silverman College wouldn't come on.
- 24:45SPEAKER_02: He probably got that same text.
- 24:46SPEAKER_02: What do you want?
- 24:47SPEAKER_02: What do you think?
- 24:48SPEAKER_02: You know, could be, could be, but anyways, it was great.
- 24:54SPEAKER_02: I hate that guy.
- 24:55SPEAKER_02: Oh I hate what you said.
- 24:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but doc, listen, don't, don't throw it all away just because you cared too much about us.
- 25:04SPEAKER_01: I think she's gone, Steve.
- 25:06SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 25:07SPEAKER_02: Well, but not forgotten.
- 25:08SPEAKER_02: No, no, not forgotten.
- 25:09SPEAKER_02: And and Jeff, you know, um, being from the future, uh, I appreciate you encouraging her to see me again, but I gotta tell you, I don't think it's gonna work.
- 25:18SPEAKER_01: But well, I didn't really mean it anyway.
- 25:20SPEAKER_02: Well, okay, you know, that's but that's okay.
- 25:22SPEAKER_01: But for the show.
- 25:23SPEAKER_01: For the show.
- 25:24SPEAKER_02: Well, it's all for the show.
- 25:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's all for the show, it's all for the team.
- 25:27SPEAKER_01: And that's and the entertainment and see and the chocolate.
- 25:31SPEAKER_02: And she was such a good therapist.
- 25:32SPEAKER_02: I don't know why she didn't understand that.
- 25:33SPEAKER_02: I I was doing the therapy.
- 25:35SPEAKER_02: I was that was for the show.
- 25:36SPEAKER_01: Okay, Steve, I'm not a therapist, so you know you're boring me.
- 25:40SPEAKER_01: But uh, but yes, I understand what you're saying completely, and we should go get a chocolate-covered raisin sometime.
- 25:47SPEAKER_02: Say, say, Jeff, speaking of not being a therapist, have have I told you about what happened to me in grade school?
- 25:53SPEAKER_02: Wait, well, well, maybe we'll talk while we drink some 409.
- 25:55SPEAKER_01: Off the air.
- 25:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think that'd be good.
- 25:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we'll do it off.
- 25:58SPEAKER_02: And then uh, because I could use a 409 and vodka.
- 26:00SPEAKER_02: I always like to do a little 409 and vodka, a little vodka in there.
- 26:04SPEAKER_02: Kind of, you know, yeah.
- 26:04SPEAKER_02: Gives the 409 a little kick.
- 26:06SPEAKER_02: I kind of like that.
- 26:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 26:07SPEAKER_01: Absolutely, Steve.
- 26:09SPEAKER_01: This was great.
- 26:10SPEAKER_02: Well, hey, it was good seeing you again, Jeff.
- 26:12SPEAKER_02: And uh good seeing you, doctor, wherever, wherever you may be.
- 26:15SPEAKER_02: That's a big loss.
- 26:16SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna I'm gonna miss her.
- 26:17SPEAKER_02: But you know, it's this happens.
- 26:20SPEAKER_02: Being from the future, I've seen so many millennia that you know, you'd think I would get used to people coming and going, but it it's still hard, you know?
- 26:27SPEAKER_02: It really is.
- 26:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and you know what, Steve?
- 26:30SPEAKER_01: I mean, to be honest with you, I'm not sure she was that good of a doctor anyway.
- 26:34SPEAKER_01: Now that she's gone, now that she's now that I can step back, you know, after long after she has terminated our relationship, you know, I just, I just I'm not sure I really was heading in the right direction.
- 26:47SPEAKER_02: So you know, funny you should say that because I she I thought she was great, but then as I think back on it, all that really happened was I would tell her like outlandish stuff, and then she'd say, How did that make you feel?
- 27:00SPEAKER_02: Or I'd ask her a question and she'd say, What do you think?
- 27:04SPEAKER_02: And I would say, Hey, is this weird?
- 27:06SPEAKER_02: Say, she'd say, Do you think it's weird?
- 27:08SPEAKER_02: It's like, gosh, no, yes, and in there's always all these questions coming back.
- 27:12SPEAKER_02: You know what I mean?
- 27:13SPEAKER_02: I just what kind of therapy is that?
- 27:15SPEAKER_01: And how did that make and how did that make you feel, Steve?
- 27:17SPEAKER_02: Oh, well, I'll tell you, it made me feel like like she wasn't really listening to me, you know.
- 27:21SPEAKER_02: It's just like just throwing it back, just like, you know, didn't have anything to say, just like, yeah, what do you think?
- 27:27SPEAKER_02: I mean, I don't know.
- 27:28SPEAKER_02: I would look in the mirror and do that, you know, what the hell?
- 27:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think you and I both could be therapists.
- 27:33SPEAKER_02: We could.
- 27:34SPEAKER_02: Hey, hey, that's a angle.
- 27:36SPEAKER_02: Maybe we could do a therapy podcast.
- 27:38SPEAKER_02: We've people call in and we can we can give them online therapy.
- 27:41SPEAKER_01: Oh, I love that idea.
- 27:43SPEAKER_01: We're sure we were actually pretty good at this, you know.
- 27:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I I was surprised.
- 27:47SPEAKER_01: So maybe thanks thanks to Dr.
- 27:50SPEAKER_01: Fields, we're now qualified to be counselors.
- 27:53SPEAKER_02: I think so.
- 27:53SPEAKER_02: And we could, you know, maybe to remember her, we would we would call it like the the fields therapy concept.
- 28:00SPEAKER_02: I love it.
- 28:00SPEAKER_02: So we would do it, but we'd call it fields therapy.
- 28:03SPEAKER_01: That's the least we can do for her, you know.
- 28:05SPEAKER_02: We do it outdoors, you know, just to keep the theme.
- 28:08SPEAKER_02: But yeah, but but yeah.
- 28:09SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 28:10SPEAKER_01: But all right, Steve.
- 28:11SPEAKER_02: Well, cool.
- 28:11SPEAKER_02: Well, Jeff, you know, hey, good seeing you again, and we will be back next time with another exciting guest.
- 28:18SPEAKER_02: All right, take care who hopefully won't stop seeing us because that hurts.
- 28:23SPEAKER_02: It does hurt.
- 28:24SPEAKER_02: All right, well, I'll see you.
- 28:26unknown: Bye.
- 28:26SPEAKER_02: See ya, bye bye.
