- 0:00I'm Abby and I'm Anna and this series beef welcome.
- 0:04Jump right in. You're right.
- 0:06This exciting times. It's December but it's not
- 0:11exciting yesterday when I my phone did an update.
- 0:15You know what else starts with Dec?
- 0:17Deceived. Deceived.
- 0:19Yeah, my this is my beef. I think I'm two weeks in a row
- 0:23that I have the beef so. That's OK.
- 0:25I'm. Going to be bitchy about
- 0:26something next. Week Apple made me do an update
- 0:29on my phone and ruined my phone. No, they did not They they only
- 0:36did the. First half of that, first of
- 0:38all. Who did the other half?
- 0:41They ruined. They only updated it.
- 0:43They didn't ruin it. It's what I'm saying.
- 0:45I'm not saying that. Somebody else?
- 0:52Oh. My God and ruined my phone.
- 0:55They only did the first half of that.
- 0:58Nobody did it. If it was an apple, I want to
- 1:01know who's responsible. I need names.
- 1:04You. I'm there going on the list.
- 1:07I get underlined. I get underlined twice.
- 1:10Hold on are. You writing this down?
- 1:12Who ruined my phone? Can you read that answer out
- 1:17loud? No.
- 1:20Abby. No.
- 1:21She wrote ME, folks, I think Abby's not in my house.
- 1:24God took the phone and ruined it, no?
- 1:27I'm just losing all this shit. Here's why let me.
- 1:29Know what we need to do? What I just remember having a
- 1:32light bulb. I could see it what?
- 1:36I'm writing it down. Oh, you're.
- 1:37Going to write it down. OK, well let me tell you why.
- 1:39Apple, we ruined my phone, OK? First of all, they put 2 new
- 1:43apps on here without my permission.
- 1:45I mean they just delete them. Hang on a second, they probably
- 1:47did have my permission because you have to agree before they
- 1:49let you do the update you had 100%.
- 1:51What is Why do I have preview? What does preview mean?
- 1:53What does that even mean? It's a preview press.
- 1:58Fold it in? What do you mean fold it in?
- 2:00Just fold it in. Fold in the juice, press and
- 2:02hold. I know how to delete.
- 2:04I want to know what it means wait don't remove it till I
- 2:06know. What it is, I don't know.
- 2:08Review scanned documents. New documents.
- 2:11Well, look at. That you will.
- 2:12Will you just answer your fucking questions?
- 2:13I don't understand what that means.
- 2:15Preview. Well, OK, if you're on a Mac and
- 2:17you like or you click on a document and you press the space
- 2:20bar, it'll open it up in preview and it doesn't actually open the
- 2:23document, let it to look at it. So I assume that this is like a
- 2:26way that you can look at documents without actually
- 2:27opening them. What's the point of that?
- 2:30Well, can you do you like, I mean I think it depends on the
- 2:33document you may well now you just downloaded that, so I
- 2:38actually can't preview it. I could not see it without
- 2:40downloading. It I didn't say you see that
- 2:42downloading, it said you could see what that opening is.
- 2:44Folks, that's so freaking tiny. How am I supposed to know what
- 2:46any of that is? You click.
- 2:48On it I done clicked on it and it downloaded it.
- 2:51And now it's opening. If it wasn't download, I'm not
- 2:57upset about this because that's me and Mayor and Julian right
- 3:00there at the X and heroes coming.
- 3:01Close that out. So I'm happy about that.
- 3:03You're talking about what? Is the app Julian?
- 3:05Julian leaned in and said fucking fool.
- 3:07And I said OK, I got you. It was awesome.
- 3:09Wait a moment. Oh man, Liv's still mad at me
- 3:12because I talked to Julian and she didn't.
- 3:14Delete the app. I can't now because it's got
- 3:18this great picture in there. How could I the picture?
- 3:22The picture is elsewhere. Excellent.
- 3:24Excellent. Thank you.
- 3:25I'm happy to hear. That hey fucking God.
- 3:27Now listen. Now listen.
- 3:28I do have a legitimate beef, yeah.
- 3:33Like what are you saying about? Because I believe I.
- 3:37Believe you OK, I just did not. Hear it?
- 3:39Because here's the thing, OK, Now when my phone is locked, OK,
- 3:46And you get these little notifications, Yeah.
- 3:48Or when you swipe up and you have to put in like your
- 3:49numbers. Yeah.
- 3:51It's clear. Do you see that that is clear?
- 3:58Can you? Can.
- 4:03You walk right? Here we go again, stupid Mind
- 4:12where there's stupid bees? Technology convention.
- 4:17They made my UPS clear. OK.
- 4:21No, not just my UPS, my notification.
- 4:25And the numbers, OK, all right, for pizza.
- 4:28No, no, let me. Finish You know I'm not telling
- 4:32you I have bad eyes. When you have macular
- 4:35degeneration, you think I could see things that are clear.
- 4:37Best part of this is I told Abby that my phone made me download
- 4:41an update. And he's proceeding to say, Oh
- 4:45no, you're going to have high speed coming.
- 4:47Of. Heart because she knew I was
- 4:49going to be pissed. I was like.
- 4:51'Cause now, like I open up my e-mail, where's the search bar
- 4:54at the bottom? Why would you change that?
- 4:58Like why would why? Because they're things, they're
- 5:00monsters. They are monsters.
- 5:02Why would you do that? And you know why?
- 5:05Because they're like all these young kids that are doing these
- 5:07updates are like, OK, everybody over 40, we're about to fuck
- 5:10their life up right now. Let's go update.
- 5:12Everything's clear. Everything's, everything's at
- 5:15the bottom now. We're going to screw with these
- 5:17people and it's going to be awesome.
- 5:20There you go. I know somebody went in and
- 5:21changed my whole phone and I didn't even know who did it and
- 5:24apparently it was me. I looked at Liv and I was.
- 5:29Like why did you change my background?
- 5:30Why did what is? Happening here.
- 5:31What's going on? She goes, I didn't touch your
- 5:33phone and I'm like, someone put a different lock screen on here.
- 5:36Somebody like everything was changed and it turned out that I
- 5:40accidentally pressed something and it reverted to the whatever
- 5:44I had on there previously, the time before they're like
- 5:47automatically switched it the inside and outside screens to
- 5:51what I had selected the time before and I'm like.
- 5:54I don't even know how I did that.
- 5:57It's a Mr. Me, I'll be honest, I don't know.
- 6:02I don't know either. And I don't know how to how to
- 6:05turn your notifications back from clear.
- 6:08That's why I'm heading your phone right now.
- 6:10Work on it well. We will work on it, she says.
- 6:13You could do a Google. The the time is better.
- 6:16I can see it now. And I do do the Google.
- 6:17You're the one that told me to do do, do, do, do, do, do let's.
- 6:23I do do the Google because you told me, look, you can just
- 6:25Google it. That's what I do.
- 6:26And I it's true you're. Right.
- 6:27That's you're right. That's smart.
- 6:29Really. Google it.
- 6:30Google is my best friend. So have you ever done this?
- 6:33This kind of goes with the technology thing.
- 6:35No, you're scrolling on like Amazon or something.
- 6:38You're shopping OK, And you kind of doze off and shit.
- 6:44You're not. I woke up and I was like, jeez.
- 6:46OK, I look at my phone, I had like $100 worth of stuff in my
- 6:49cart. Sorry honey, I blacked out my
- 6:55whole dog in the crap. No, thankfully I had not
- 6:58purchased, but I was like what the Hell's all?
- 7:02This. I needed Face ID thumbprint.
- 7:03I'll tell you what, go way through.
- 7:06I do this off and I had all this stuff in my car.
- 7:10Stuff she does off with her finger on the.
- 7:12Plus button my face, holding it over my face.
- 7:14No, no with your. Finger on the plus button.
- 7:18We brought you why did I buy? 100 rolls of dollar paper.
- 7:23I was looking for Sam, asked for something for Christmas and
- 7:25that's what I was looking for and I had to go in there and
- 7:28then. Delete out all this stuff out of
- 7:30my car. I wish I would take a screenshot
- 7:32so I could show you what it because it was like.
- 7:34No, I what? The hell is all this I can?
- 7:35Say that I I have never had that happen to me, but that's why I
- 7:39don't shop drowsy. You know what and that is?
- 7:41That is a sound advice word to the word to the wise from the.
- 7:45Wise. Yes, don't shop drowsy because
- 7:48honestly, you might have you might put some in your cart you
- 7:52didn't want to No so. Good.
- 7:56You know what I am trying to pull up.
- 7:59Listener Brittany will send me things that you can buy online
- 8:05on the Facebook Marketplace. OK.
- 8:07From time to time she finds some good crazy stuff, some good,
- 8:09some good winners. Yeah, yeah, she does awesome.
- 8:12And so I was going back and look at these.
- 8:16These are royal limited Egyptian glass egg set hand painted
- 8:21collectibles. OK?
- 8:22Oh man, no longer be able to have to look at it small, OK.
- 8:27Maybe you should preview it first.
- 8:30Like face, hang on, I gotta take a picture because I gotta post
- 8:36that on the Facebook, God damn it.
- 8:40OK, so she said this is what it looks like.
- 8:43OK, oh beautiful mother. Those look like bug plugs.
- 8:49They look like eggs. They.
- 8:50Look like butt plugs. Well, I mean, that just looks.
- 8:55Like pretty eggs to me. I don't know.
- 8:57Where's your mind? At listener For the record, the
- 9:00eggs come on stands. They look like butt plugs.
- 9:03Well, I guess if you're looking at the whole stand, but I was
- 9:06just looking at like the egg. She sent me this.
- 9:09She goes weird letters to have. I'm just saying 4 feet letters,
- 9:134 foot letters. OK.
- 9:15Oh, there's big as tall as that goes up to the car window,
- 9:18right? That's really tall.
- 9:20What letters are there? SDI somebody you know, I got the
- 9:26story behind that I do. Too.
- 9:28Go ahead. Somebody cheated on somebody.
- 9:30And then they would and then they would put that in their
- 9:33yard with. I thought that.
- 9:35They was more of a holiday thing and it's supposed to be TIS.
- 9:38It could be, it could be. And then their then their
- 9:41husband cheated on them and they turned around and they burned
- 9:44them real bad. This one porcelain bedpan
- 9:48guitar, that is a guitar with the porcelain bedpan part down
- 9:52at the the guitar part, guitar brown part, if you will, that
- 9:56that's terrible and I don't know who would want that.
- 9:58That is terrible, but these are the I thought that it was a
- 10:02good. Segue with with what you said
- 10:05online shopping so at least you're not adding those things
- 10:08to your cart. It's true because if I bought a
- 10:10porcelain bedpan guitar, I would be upset.
- 10:14I also wanted to show you this because we're talking.
- 10:15About the nutcrackers last time and Ashley or not Jesus not
- 10:20Ashley Lister. Brittany sent me this and it is
- 10:25we had family Nutcracker painting session after our
- 10:27Thanksgiving. Dinner.
- 10:28Oh, fun. Look at that.
- 10:33That's hilarious. Look at Aunt.
- 10:35Barbara, I know the idea. That is, what is she holding?
- 10:39I think it's like a cup of some. Kind.
- 10:42It looks like a little cup. I've no idea.
- 10:43The hair, that's hilarious. I thought it was very funny,
- 10:46Excellent. So I took a screenshot of that,
- 10:49but I just thought you'd appreciate that.
- 10:52I think it's awesome. Now I have to do something that
- 10:54I said I would never do on here. Oh, you said you would never do.
- 10:58It I would never do this. OK, I don't know if I ever said
- 11:00it on the podcast, but I said it about the podcast in, you know.
- 11:05The privacy of my own home. True.
- 11:06I think you did say it. I think I know what you're going
- 11:08to say. Now I said that I would never
- 11:10apologize. Yeah, I think I said on here.
- 11:11I said what I said. I did.
- 11:12You did say it because you're like, this is how I feel about
- 11:14it. This is my opinion about it, and
- 11:15I like Taylor Swift and I don't care.
- 11:16I'm never going to apologize. Well, I'm not apologizing about
- 11:18that, just be clear. Hold on.
- 11:20And that that goes for everything that you said,
- 11:22however. I need to issue a formal
- 11:24apology. I heard you.
- 11:25I heard somebody think she went too far.
- 11:27I guess I did to the Diet Coke lovers out there.
- 11:32I'm sorry. Oh, she said it.
- 11:35I'm sorry that you're weak, willed.
- 11:36No. No, apparently.
- 11:41Apparently went too hard on the Diet Coke.
- 11:43OK, last time. Oh.
- 11:45OK, listen, you can enjoy Diet Coke.
- 11:46I I guess I should have maybe made that more clear.
- 11:49You can enjoy Diet Coke. I don't care.
- 11:51I just don't get it. I just personally, I think that
- 11:56if you are like, no, I love Diet Coke.
- 11:58I think it's maybe an addiction thing because the sweetener is
- 12:02known to be addictive. That is my opinion.
- 12:04But if you truly just love the taste of Diet Coke, what power?
- 12:09Do you what power do you there's no sugar in it you know now
- 12:14listener Erica, I've confirmed listener Erica I heard that
- 12:18thanks for joining you got to tell the story what she did she
- 12:22called it to your attention that you.
- 12:23Well, she did. She did coke.
- 12:25Diet Coke. People.
- 12:26I do, I do. Because then she really turned
- 12:29and cracked open a Diet Coke. I'm going to tell you what
- 12:34you're going to call somebody out on hating the Diet Coke.
- 12:37That's an excellent. That's a good way.
- 12:38You know what? Yeah.
- 12:39Thank you. Good on your listener.
- 12:41You know what? She's keeping me in in line.
- 12:43Cubicle is right next to mine. So she's she's listening to the
- 12:47new ones and she's working backwards so as to stay
- 12:50relevant. OK.
- 12:51Which is, I think, an interesting way to do things.
- 12:53Why not? Why wouldn't you work your way
- 12:56back? Why?
- 12:57Because? Because in case there's context
- 12:59like, would you listen to? Oh, you know, that's.
- 13:02True. See what I'm saying?
- 13:03I've seen by my life like I wish I was old and no I get backwards
- 13:06but you know. True, but because getting old is
- 13:08the worst. It is, I feel, elderly.
- 13:12OK. But no, she's she's listened to
- 13:15the recent ones. Now she can say she goes because
- 13:17I think this is what I need in my life.
- 13:19I need you and your mom to gossip about our workplace
- 13:22drama. That's hilarious.
- 13:24I wanted to listen to. I was like, that's too fun.
- 13:25Well, you've come to the right place.
- 13:28That's all I have time for lately is the workplace drama.
- 13:30But not true. I was also a lie, by the way.
- 13:33Our sauce. Go for it, cherry chutney.
- 13:37Oh, that's a new one. Yeah, they all are in theory.
- 13:40It's supposed to be supposed to be.
- 13:43Supposed to be. Oh my goodness.
- 13:46I also have written down here that we have the Christmas cards
- 13:52versus we sent out. Now, have I addressed mine and
- 13:54sent them out? Nope.
- 13:55They've been done for a week. They've been done, I've just
- 13:58been very busy. It's true.
- 14:00So my plan is to get it. It's supposed to be very cold
- 14:02this weekend and I really don't want to leave my house, so I'm
- 14:05hoping that I get it all get it all done this weekend when I'm
- 14:08staying home and having a rope Sunday or something.
- 14:10Oh man, I wish I was doing that. I know.
- 14:12That's my favorite thing in the whole world, to have a rope
- 14:13Sunday. I love a robe Sunday.
- 14:15I love it. Sometimes I actually walk around
- 14:16her Harry Potter robe. That's a Robe Sunday, isn't it?
- 14:20Isn't it? Well, we've got a final, so you
- 14:23can. You're going to need to robe
- 14:24this Sunday. Well, we got a final count.
- 14:26We got 120 cards going out. I did order 120.
- 14:30Yeah, this year. So it's growing.
- 14:33The list is growing. The.
- 14:34List grows every year. My work party is tomorrow
- 14:37evening actually. Oh.
- 14:40So I'll be giving my cards out to my work people tomorrow.
- 14:43You know already. I've already been to people
- 14:44already asking me what did we do this year?
- 14:46I said just wait till the party, you'll find out.
- 14:49Yep. So I'm going to give them out
- 14:50tomorrow. Well, you know, they arrived in
- 14:54Kansas City, the ones that I. Sent to my year will.
- 14:58And they had to know what the process was.
- 15:00They loved them. They're like, what's what's your
- 15:02process? Are the.
- 15:04Is it real? They loved them.
- 15:06They wanted to know what the process was.
- 15:07And so I, I was, you know, given the behind the scenes and all
- 15:10that kind of stuff. So yeah, no, but everybody so
- 15:14far is, has loved them, right? My work's got them.
- 15:18When we get it out, I'll have to post it and then maybe I'll post
- 15:21some of the behind the scene pictures because we start one
- 15:23year we were doing, I think it was the year we did have
- 15:26yourself a merry little Christmas and we probably have
- 15:28talked about this. Sam took some pictures of us
- 15:31doing our photo shoot. And so then we were like, oh,
- 15:34these are actually hilarious. The behind the scenes pictures
- 15:36are as funny as the finished products.
- 15:39So we kind of do a few every year now.
- 15:42So it's it's pretty funny. It's pretty funny.
- 15:44So the card is adorable. I love it.
- 15:46And you even help me create a calendar.
- 15:49I create a calendar for my family members every year that
- 15:52Abby helps you put together. We got that time so.
- 15:55We got to order those. Those aren't.
- 15:56Ordered yet I have to. Order Well, you know what?
- 15:59Yes, my birthday's coming up. You just had a birthday.
- 16:03I just had my birthday. The big nine.
- 16:05O yes. I'm secretly 90.
- 16:11And if that were the case, I look amazing.
- 16:13She looks great. Anna, you don't look a day over
- 16:1690. You look great for 90, I look
- 16:19great for 90. You should just tell people
- 16:21you're 90. My, you should just tell people
- 16:23because if I tell them my real age, they're going to be like,
- 16:24oh, how are you still living? No, no, no, no, no.
- 16:28Because you, you and the paw in the mall, we're just at
- 16:32whatever. And the nurse comes in.
- 16:34She's talking to you. We were at the hospital,
- 16:35actually, and a couple of the nurses came in and they were
- 16:37like you guys. They looked at my mom and my dad
- 16:40and they were like, you're in your 80s.
- 16:42Wow, you guys look really young. I would never said you were in
- 16:45your 80s. And then they turn.
- 16:47They the one turns to me and goes.
- 16:49Oh, who let the? Cryptkeeper in here.
- 16:52That was a smack. Leave that in.
- 16:56The Yeah, she actually says. To me, do you mind if I ask how
- 16:59old you are? And I was like, no, I don't
- 17:01mind. I don't care because I said my
- 17:03age. I don't know if I should say it
- 17:04in the pod. 79 OK. There is a nine.
- 17:10In my age, but it's at the. End.
- 17:15I just turned 59, although Olivia did we tell the story
- 17:22about when I told Olivia my age and I told her I was 29?
- 17:25And she got in trouble. At school was that was.
- 17:27Wasn't that me? No.
- 17:29Oh, was that Liv? No, Liv was in first grade and
- 17:31that teacher is notoriously a little was his first grade
- 17:34teacher and she's been. Talked about on the pod before.
- 17:38The priest had his birthday and he was turning like 79 or
- 17:41something million. And I, I leaned over to to live.
- 17:45We were sitting together at the church at the birthday thing.
- 17:48And I said something because it was must have been around my
- 17:50birthday too. Or I said my birthday.
- 17:52I'm going to be 29. And she's like oh, OK.
- 17:55And then she goes to school and tells her teacher that.
- 17:57My mom is 29. I'm. 29 well that teacher knows
- 18:01damn well I'm not 29. Sure live is in first grade
- 18:04because I was 35 with living born.
- 18:06Here's something. Here's thing when if you're that
- 18:09teacher, are you like, oh, ha ha, OK, What?
- 18:11I would have cracked up, right? You're like, sure, that would
- 18:13have cracked me up. Because I wouldn't know that mom
- 18:14is fibbing to that kid and that's.
- 18:15Hilarious, right? Right.
- 18:17Or there's just a misunderstanding.
- 18:19It's probably more likely what it is, but this is.
- 18:22What women do we joke around about being 29, right?
- 18:25It's just a joke. I would have thought it was
- 18:26funny and known that that was a joke, right?
- 18:28Nope. She got in trouble and she had
- 18:30it. And then she comes storming into
- 18:32my classroom. You need to go tell your
- 18:33daughter you are not 29. And she yelled at me.
- 18:35Well. Because a little.
- 18:38You don't back down. My mom told me she's.
- 18:41Why not? You don't know, stupid bitch.
- 18:45You don't know what the fuck you talking about?
- 18:47My mom told me the Macarena was saying in Japanese.
- 18:52Bitch, why didn't you tell me that?
- 18:55Why didn't you tell me that? God damn it, I was publicly
- 19:02humiliated. Everything we already told.
- 19:05Yes yes, so listeners will know unless you're a new listener
- 19:08now, you know that my mother made me believe that the
- 19:11Macarena was sung in Japanese and then I was publicly
- 19:14humiliated from my entire class of like 20 people like 20
- 19:19people. And honestly, you know it wasn't
- 19:20even because it was in it was in PE.
- 19:23You know how they would tell the kids yes, there's.
- 19:25Eight people publicly humiliated.
- 19:30They're like. Oh my God, we're going.
- 19:31To get Abby out of these smart kids anyway.
- 19:34No, I just turned 59. I had a great birthday.
- 19:36I don't really care. I don't usually make a big deal
- 19:38about my birthday. I don't really care that much
- 19:40about it. But you know, the one thing, the
- 19:43one thing I ever want for a gift or, you know, whatever, is just
- 19:46to spend time with people. You know?
- 19:48You know how I am. Yeah, and we never spend any
- 19:51time together. I don't ever.
- 19:53Well damn, I wish you'd have people.
- 19:54Come around a little bit more, but.
- 19:56Sound like my grandma. So so I went well my birthday
- 20:02was on a Friday so I had to go to work and which is 0 fun but
- 20:08it is what it is you know life goes on and I don't really care
- 20:11if I celebrate my birthday on my birthday or another day like it
- 20:14doesn't matter I go So I go to work and just do my normal
- 20:18routine and at some point in the afternoon.
- 20:21You know, I walked into the bathroom and I saw myself in the
- 20:23mirror. I had not put a speck of makeup
- 20:26on my face. I don't go to Walmart.
- 20:29I don't go to Walmart without makeup.
- 20:31Oh, OK, Won't do it because this face.
- 20:34No, she said. Well, I couldn't even tell that
- 20:38I wasn't wearing makeup. Oh.
- 20:39No, no, I was stunned. I was saying.
- 20:41That their mouth dropped open and went I left my makeup on.
- 20:45OK, I guess this is welcome to my old hag era.
- 20:47Like what just happened? Did.
- 20:52Anybody. Notice any difference?
- 20:54No one's anything but the shock faces.
- 20:56Probably should take me off and I was supposed to get my
- 21:03evaluation done that day and I was like, oh crap, I hurt random
- 21:05up random my purse and got a little compact and then you
- 21:08think that's going to take your evaluation?
- 21:11No, I just didn't want people to see me looking so hideoso, so I
- 21:15had to. I was like, where in the world
- 21:17he. Said no makeup on.
- 21:20So unprofessional made. Me come in here and look at you.
- 21:24During this evaluation, no mega fucking forever unclean Yoba
- 21:32Goya. Isn't it Yoba Goya?
- 21:33That's what I said, Yoba Goya. They said Ubagoya anyway that so
- 21:37whatever. Then he then he ended up not
- 21:38coming over and doing my evaluation.
- 21:39So it was all good, but that was embarrassing so I had to wear a
- 21:44paper bag around for the rest of the afternoon.
- 21:47So. But then the next day, Sam asked
- 21:50me what I wanted to do for my birthday, and my sister was
- 21:52coming in town, and so I said we should watch Wicked the first
- 21:55half. She hasn't watched the first.
- 21:57She hadn't watched the first half of Wicked yet.
- 21:59And then go to the movies and see the second-half of Wicked
- 22:04with you guys, with all of us ladies.
- 22:05I invited Wing, but he didn't want.
- 22:07To go. And he goes.
- 22:08He goes. Not surprising.
- 22:09Yeah, I'm like, I thought you like some musicals.
- 22:11I. Know I know no, he he opted out,
- 22:14which is fine. I don't invite to do anything I
- 22:15want to have they don't want to do and so we go to we watch the
- 22:21first half, which is amazing. We love it.
- 22:23I love the first half of Wicked and Then we Go.
- 22:25Stop full stop on that and my heart was ripped out.
- 22:29I literally said next time somebody suggests we go see
- 22:32Wicked for good, just stab me in the heart.
- 22:35It will hurt less than watching that.
- 22:37No. OK, listen.
- 22:41Not as bad as Hunger Games. Oh, help me.
- 22:48The set of eyes on the reaping. Yep.
- 22:51Never. I agree with you 100%.
- 22:53Not very bad. I went and saw Wicked for good.
- 22:56I'd never finished and I don't know, I don't know if I can even
- 23:02see that movie. I don't know.
- 23:03That's a struggle. But anyway, back-to-back to
- 23:05every topic. Yeah, it it ripped my heart out,
- 23:07but it was wonderful. It was incredible.
- 23:09It was the gayest, straightest movie I've ever seen.
- 23:11It's true, and that's OK. We loved it.
- 23:13We loved it. It was awesome.
- 23:15It was it was very good. I would listen to the soundtrack
- 23:17again. I don't know if I could bring
- 23:19myself to watch a movie. Again, I thought it was
- 23:21wonderful. So then we Sunday we go, my
- 23:27sister and Jessam and I go see the Wiz at the Fox and we got
- 23:32home and watched the original. Wizard of Oz so outstanding.
- 23:35With the movie ends at like 9:30 and I go OK now Muppets version
- 23:40wizard. Of Oz And then we're all.
- 23:42Cracking up. We're like, no, we gotta go to
- 23:43bed. I cannot recommend the Wiz
- 23:47enough. I never seen it live.
- 23:49There's a long pause. It's true, that's true.
- 23:51I cannot recommend the Wiz enough.
- 23:57You've done have a four on this. I cannot recommend this enough.
- 24:03Why do I do? That, I don't know.
- 24:05That's weird. I've tried.
- 24:05I've tried to make it more dramatic or I just can't find my
- 24:08words. That's probably what it is.
- 24:10The Wiz was so much fun. It is a blast.
- 24:13It is an absolute blast of a show.
- 24:14It's so much color. It's, I mean, just so much
- 24:18attitude and so over the top. And it was I I like.
- 24:23It's one of those shows I'm just smiling the whole time and
- 24:27enjoying every minute of it. Yeah, so, so, so great.
- 24:31So we had a ton of fun. I do like that one.
- 24:33We had the spaghetti factory on the way home.
- 24:34Mayor bought me dinner for my breakfast for my breakfast for
- 24:37my birthday. I was I was actually talking to
- 24:39my Co worker Lisa because she. They go to a lot of Fox shows,
- 24:42so OK, OK. And I said, oh, you know, they
- 24:45went and saw that you guys had gone and see the Wiz.
- 24:47She was oh, I wanted to see that.
- 24:49She's so good. Yep.
- 24:51She was like, she's like, was it great?
- 24:53And I was like, they said it was very, very good.
- 24:55And she's like. Loved it.
- 24:58They slam it. So what an excellent whole week.
- 25:01And then I came home from the fox and Wayne had got nothing
- 25:04bundt cake and so we had birthday cake and he gave me a
- 25:10gift card to go get my names done, which I just did.
- 25:13So they look amazing. Wow, So what a great gift.
- 25:17What what an awesome great gift. Birthday Liv got me birthday
- 25:21weekend, birthday weekend, the whole weekend.
- 25:22So much fun, Nick. Bring you anything?

- 25:33Yummy but awesome weekend. I don't normally like who's my
- 25:37birthday weekend We got to celebrate every day, but it just
- 25:39kind of end up being fun stuff all weekend.
- 25:40And yeah. And I had a blast.
- 25:41And then I found out that someone I love has the same
- 25:46birthday as me and I was like who else do I like that has or
- 25:51important famous people maybe that have the same birthdays.
- 25:54So December 5th we I already knew about Walt Disney.
- 25:57I always. Loved that we had the same
- 26:00birthday. I always thought that was super
- 26:01cool that I have the same birthday as Walt Disney.
- 26:02Yeah. Martin Van Buren.
- 26:04Not sure how you can get more cooler than that.

- 26:26Buren. Wasn't he a president of our
- 26:27United States? Martin.
- 26:33I can't type. He's the 8th president, OK?
- 26:36I'm like, I'm pretty sure he wasn't president.
- 26:38OK, Yeah, but he looks, he looks like he's got some great mutton.
- 26:43Chops. Yeah, he's got some excellent
- 26:44mum chops with no hair on top, lots of hair on the side, lots
- 26:48of hair on the side. He's a little.
- 26:49He's the coolest, Yeah, I put him on my dotable.
- 26:54Lid. He looks like he had a whole
- 26:56bunch of hair on his head and then a really hard, like harsh
- 26:58fan would just shoved it all down slowly over time, slid
- 27:03down. Yeah.
- 27:04I'm not sure. Marvin Buren.
- 27:06Have you considered a brush? Have you considered it's coming
- 27:09here? It's pretty wild.
- 27:10It's out there. It's print two.
- 27:11He went around with like Ben, like he didn't care.
- 27:15He said I'm fucking 8th president.
- 27:16Who's going to fucking Remember Me?
- 27:174th, 8th. 8th OK, so yeah, then I found out that my boy Suman

- 27:26Check him out there. He was the primary.
- 27:28Founder of the Democratic Party. OK, well there you go.

- 27:33just saw a concert and same birthday as me exciting and this
- 27:37one I just found out so excited. Conan Gray the same birthday,
- 27:43obviously not the same year, but that was exciting.

- 30:04I recognize that name. Please hold.
- 30:05What do I? What do I know that?
- 30:10An American actress. She's the little girl in
- 30:16Poltergeist that passed away. Yes.
- 30:21I think she's the voice of the whole thing.
- 30:22I think she's the voice of Ducky in The thing.
- 30:25We had the same same birthday, December 27th, 1975.
- 30:32Walker Hayes. He's a country singer.
- 30:34I know he sings that everybody has somebody but me or something
- 30:37like that. That's so darn cute.
- 30:38Yeah, stuff like that. He's got.
- 30:40He has some really cute songs. Yeah.
- 30:43Marlene Dietrich. Dietrich.
- 30:45You know who that is? Yep.
- 30:48She we have the same birthday. I'm trying to figure out what
- 30:52she's in. She's like a she's a classic
- 30:57old, old time, old old school Howard actress.
- 31:00Yes, just a gigolo. Paris when it's sizzles.
- 31:03Paris when it's sizzles. Nice.
- 31:05OK, so OK. And now Savannah Guthrie.
- 31:09Savannah Guthrie So. What the fuck am I saying?
- 31:12Savannah Guthrie? Why did you say Guthrie?
- 31:13I don't know, it's Guthrie. OK, well, she's she's the host
- 31:17of the Today show and I adore her.
- 31:21I googled. Sorry.
- 31:23No presidents have a December 27th birthday.
- 31:26That's fine. So close with Woodrow Wilson on
- 31:28the 28th, OK and Andrew Johnson on the 29th.
- 31:32But there isn't a currently a president who has the same
- 31:37birthday. That's fine.
- 31:38So sorry about that. That's that's fine.
- 31:43Your list is crap. I don't care.
- 31:46No, it's impossible. That's it's impossible.
- 31:48Because you got 'cause it's. You.
- 31:50Brock Purdy is your birthday too.
- 31:53Madam, this is an NFLNFL quarterback, folks.
- 31:56Brock Purdy don't know Mr. Irrelevant, now the leading the
- 32:00starting quarterback for the Washington.
- 32:05Is he Washington's? What?
- 32:07No, No, No, No, no, no. No, the Niners, sorry, I said
- 32:10the wrong team. I'm thinking the colors was
- 32:12trying to get the colors in my head and it's 49ers.
- 32:14Yeah, I'm looking. Well, I'll tell you what.
- 32:18Double check and I didn't miss anybody important.
- 32:20I I do have an excellent segue to an update that I need to give
- 32:25our listeners. OK, if you want to hear it,
- 32:30sure. And it's funny.
- 32:31Because is it about the elephant?
- 32:33It is about OK, our beloved Raja OK elephant that currently lives
- 32:41at the Saint Louis Zoo confirmed, confirmed.
- 32:46We were some deception was put out there that he was going to
- 32:50move to the Columbus Zoo in Ohio.
- 32:54It's not technically deception. He is still going to move to the
- 33:00Columbus Zoo, the Columbus Zoo. But we were told that he was
- 33:03moving a year ago. And then were Raja disappeared.
- 33:09Yeah, from the limelight, but never turned up at the Columbus
- 33:15Zoo and you're right we were pretty sure there was some
- 33:18nefarious. I was pretty upset.
- 33:20I was upset there. We we got, we had some
- 33:23conspiracy theories we were bouncing around and how do you?
- 33:27Lose an elephant? Exactly.
- 33:29We were worried and we wanted to know where our elephant was.
- 33:32I was very worried. And so I finally, finally got
- 33:36the word that he is still at the Saint Louis Zoo.
- 33:41He was supposed to move early 2025, which we knew this but
- 33:52they decided to I guess. Keep him, do a gradual.
- 33:57Transition for conservation allowing farewells and herd
- 34:02adjustments and he's expected to arrive in Columbus now soon.
- 34:10So Raja is crucial for Asian elephant elephant species
- 34:15survival plan because we you I know so that's why we're going
- 34:20to switch hers because he has he has a grandson in Jed I think
- 34:26now at the Saint Louis. So he does so he has too many
- 34:30children now at this at the Saint Louis Zoo.
- 34:33So we've got to move them on and that's a normal, natural thing
- 34:37that that elephants for the wild even.
- 34:40And so it's a natural herd dynamic for an elephant to now
- 34:43live separately from his family group because, you know, we want
- 34:47to keep the gene pool solid. Fine.
- 34:50So I guess exactly. So now he's going to Columbus to
- 34:54allow him to have an be the new bachelor in town and have a new,
- 34:59new females to to get busy with. And so the females at the at the
- 35:07Columbus Zoo just had two babies.
- 35:11They have two new they have two new babies, OK, and Rita Jean is
- 35:17one of them. Rita Jean is born, born in the
- 35:20spring and they just had a new boy and they had a contest to
- 35:24name him and they named him Oliver.
- 35:26That's hilarious. Is like awesome because I think
- 35:28it's awesome. And so he has so they have two
- 35:30new ones. And so they also decided since
- 35:32there were two pregnant females, let's wait and bring him after
- 35:38the the babies are born, right And there's adjustment period
- 35:42with the new little ones. Yeah and give them that is the
- 35:46thing that you can sometimes yes it it cause 'cause the.
- 35:49Elephants will know if. It's their kid or not, yes.
- 35:51And so they're like, OK, let's let's let's just wait a little
- 35:55bit till these these little ones are, are born and established
- 35:59and healthy and everything's good and the Mamas are healthy
- 36:02and good. And then, and then they'll the
- 36:07plan is to still move him. So he's he's he's fine.
- 36:11Supposedly. I'll tell you it they.
- 36:15Still haven't. Did you get that update?
- 36:16Did you get that update because you messaged them?
- 36:19I did not. You said you were gonna.
- 36:20So I was. Just curious if I googled it and
- 36:22I didn't find out because I'm following the Columbus Zoo and
- 36:26I'm waiting, I'm waiting for where's my elephant?
- 36:28I'm like, where is my elephant? Where's my elephant?
- 36:31So but I did get he's my elephant.
- 36:33I did get it. I know he is.
- 36:35It was your first birthday gift. It's it's technically, it would
- 36:37have been Ashley's first birthday gift.
- 36:39Right. So you know, he's fine,
- 36:45supposedly. I'll no, I'll believe when I see
- 36:47you exactly. Now I got real quick.
- 36:50I got to tell you two things. Two people that are born on your
- 36:52birthday. That I didn't.
- 36:54List, Yes, Who is it? Hit me #1 Frankie Muniz.
- 36:58Yeah, that is Malcolm in the Middle.
- 36:59Malcolm in the Middle. Little Richard, Little Richard,
- 37:02Excellent. Little Richard.
- 37:04Excellent. Now I have a who doesn't?
- 37:05Need a Little Richard in their. Lives Oh boy I and I got Nick
- 37:09Chubb. You got a Little Richard and I
- 37:12got a Nick Chubb. I'll tell you what, what the
- 37:20fuck is wrong with that? Meant to be.
- 37:22It was meant to be. Holy shit.
- 37:25Oh, boy. Alright, well, here's the thing.
- 37:27Here's the thing. Here's the thing I got.
- 37:29I need to talk to listen, Erica, because I got a funny story
- 37:31about Little Richard. Yeah.
- 37:34I need. I need clearance.
- 37:35I need to remember. Well, I I don't think it's an
- 37:38issue with me telling the story. I have to.
- 37:41I need the details straight. Yes.
- 37:44OK, OK, alright. I need to remember What what
- 37:46exactly? Like, because it was a long,
- 37:49it's a long string of events and it's like no one's going to
- 37:53understand why we're calling somebody this thing.
- 37:57But OK, OK. OK, so I need I need the context
- 37:59so I can explain to the listener.
- 38:00I'm gonna have to ask her about it so well anyway, so let me
- 38:04double check. So Raja.
- 38:05'S is in theory he's OK. He's still in Saint Louis, but
- 38:08he will be moving to Columbus once the new babies that were
- 38:12born. The new elephant babies are good
- 38:14to go, and the Mamas are. Good to go, I'll beat some ass.
- 38:16Now I will tell you, I saw this funny headline and it made me
- 38:19think of like, I bet there's other funny headlines out there
- 38:21about the things that have happened at zoos.
- 38:23I have no idea if this headline is true or not.
- 38:25I don't care. The headline itself is hilarious
- 38:28and that's all I needed to know and.
- 38:30If the headline. Was after years of trying to get
- 38:342 hyenas to mate and have babies, the zoo found out both
- 38:37hyenas were male. Well.
- 38:41That's that's, that's a tough Rd. tough road for one of those
- 38:45hyenas. One of them they knew was male.
- 38:46One of them, one of them they did not.
- 38:50I think that hanging up charity places.
- 38:52He's gay and went come over here.
- 38:55I'm gonna go take places and take places with the girl.
- 38:58This is going to be fun. Oh my God, he had a good time.
- 39:01He had it. Well, maybe.
- 39:03I mean, you know, who can say? Who can say, who can say?
- 39:07Did anybody? Probably.
- 39:08They're probably those hyenas were probably soul mates.
- 39:12And they tricked those. They tricked those handlers.
- 39:14They did. They did.
- 39:16They were really pulling over on them.
- 39:17I think they were even my favorite.
- 39:19That's what I'm going to choose to believe.
- 39:20One of my favorite things is the is the gay Penguins.
- 39:23The gay Penguins love them. I love the gay Penguins.
- 39:25I love the gay Penguins. We love them.
- 39:27Who doesn't love gay Penguins? Penguins.
- 39:29Who loves the big gay Penguins? I mean, come on.
- 39:31Well, I've got, I've got a Zodiac.
- 39:34OK, I've got a Zodiac. Oh, OK.
- 39:38And we haven't done one of these in a bit.
- 39:40All right, let's hear it. So I I figured.
- 39:42This is good, good time as any. OK, so this comes from the New
- 39:46York Post. Now this one is going to come
- 39:49out. It'll be the last one before
- 39:52Christmas, which is why we're doing some Christmas heavy
- 39:55content here. Yes, this is this is going to
- 39:57come out before. Christmas, yes.
- 39:59All right, so this Zodiac is here's the Christmas movie
- 40:02character that embodies your Zodiac sign.
- 40:04Oh, OK, fun. All righty, All right, Aries.
- 40:08You are Willie T soak from bad Santa.
- 40:11You ever seen bad Santa? I've never seen bad Santa
- 40:13nearby, but he looks like a bad he's smoking and the beard is
- 40:16down. It's not a good looking is it?
- 40:18Is that? Who plays that?
- 40:20Not a clue. I'm.
- 40:22I'm requiring you to do that. Google married to Angelina Jolie
- 40:26briefly. Billy Bob Thornton as that's it.
- 40:29Billy Bob Thornton. That's who that is, yes.
- 40:32All right, for all their bluster and blindness, Aries natives are
- 40:34never as tough or terrible as they would have you believe.
- 40:38Aries is anti hero energy Incarnate.
- 40:40And no anti heroes. More Aries than Willie T Soak,
- 40:44played with aplomb by Billy Bob Thornton, big on personality and
- 40:48falling short of even basic impulse control.
- 40:50The hard drinking, chain smoking, profanity spewing, mall
- 40:52robbing badass Santa Claus has a pickled heart of fool's gold and
- 40:56proves his cardinal firepower and unconventional morality and
- 40:59his refusal to rob the defenseless, abandoned the
- 41:02parentless, or abide the bullying of the powerless.
- 41:06OK, that's. What they say.
- 41:08Yeah, that's what the man said. That's what the man said.
- 41:12That's what he said. All right, Taurus.
- 41:15Taurus. You are Ralphie from a Christmas
- 41:17story. Awesome.
- 41:19Taurus rules the 2nd House of self worth and material
- 41:22possessions. And as a fixed earth sign,
- 41:25natives often struggle with a stubborn streak.
- 41:28And that's technically not what they I assume that they mean a
- 41:33stubborn streak, but they wrote a stubborn stake.
- 41:36OK and single minded agenda. Enter Ralphie, the materialistic
- 41:40horn dog protagonist of a Christmas Story.
- 41:43Who but a? Who?
- 41:44But a greed is good, excess is best.
- 41:47Tours would describe Christmas morning as plunging quote into
- 41:51the cornucopia, quivering with desire and the ecstasy of
- 41:54unbridled avarice. Gemini, you are Snow Miser from
- 42:01a year without Santa Claus. Awesome.
- 42:03I love, I love Snow Miser. A smooth talking agent type and
- 42:081/2 of a pair of iconic brothers.
- 42:10Snow Miser is pure Gemini, famously fickle.
- 42:12It tracks that Gemini would control the weather, prone as
- 42:15they are to hot and cold behavior patterns and freezing
- 42:17people out slash leaving lovers unread for sport peddling puns
- 42:22and cracking jokes. Snow Viser speaks loud and clear
- 42:25to the coyote spirit and ready for flight ethos of his sign
- 42:29with the Declaration. If I can't have a little fun, I
- 42:33might as well leave. It's true.
- 42:36He does that. He does say it.
- 42:38I love it. Cancer.
- 42:40Cancer, you are love struck stalker mark from Love Actually
- 42:44Okay. Ruled by the Moody moon and tied
- 42:47to feelings of home and family, Cancer is famously emo.
- 42:50But their wellspring of emotions does not always equate to the
- 42:53ability to address and express these feelings.
- 42:55In fact, this sign is famous for putting up defenses and being
- 42:58standoffish or even rude to the people for whom they harbor
- 43:02romantic feelings. Real deal.
- 43:04Let me be mean to you because I am obsessed with you.
- 43:06Energy. Enter Mark Andrew Lincoln, the
- 43:09king of close-ups and cold shoulders, who professes his
- 43:12love to Keira Knightley's Juliet by standing like a sad boy in
- 43:15the street and holding flash cards.
- 43:17Spell what? You can't bear to speak,
- 43:18brother. This is such an iconic scene.
- 43:21If you haven't seen, actually, you've probably seen, you know,
- 43:24that scene. There's been a lot of different.
- 43:25We actually went to a concert last April.
- 43:29One of the one of the the performers, they did some solos.
- 43:34His solo, he did these, he did the cards.
- 43:37He did that very fun messages to the to the audience.
- 43:40He's all doing the cards. And then he sang a solo.
- 43:42It was so cute. I actually love that movie very
- 43:45much. I do too, but I do have a
- 43:47problem with that guy. Yeah, that's true.
- 43:51All right, Leo. Leo, you are Krampus from
- 43:54Krampus. Oh, that's kind of scary.
- 43:56A little scary, Leo represents the sacred act of plague, the
- 44:00child within and by proxy, the unconquerable hope of a merry
- 44:02and bright holiday season. When hope fails, in that spirit
- 44:05proves corruptible outcomes. Krampus A darker expression of
- 44:09the Leo archetype, this yuletide demon leans big into pageantry
- 44:12and shock value. Hallowed by thy name, punishing
- 44:15those that failed to revel to his standard.
- 44:20Virgo, you're Charlie Brown from A Charlie Brown Christmas.
- 44:24Our shuffling, hunter hatted, heavy hearted Charlie Brown is a
- 44:27classic Virgo, a sarcastic and sarcastic and anxious with a
- 44:31sweet streak and a deep fear of not being good, being good
- 44:35enough. Blessed be this mutable earth
- 44:38sign, always able to see the potential in all things and all
- 44:42people, even an anemic Christmas tree and Lucy Van Pelt.
- 44:46Virgo is associated with temple worship, pruning and
- 44:49purification, and for half a century Charlie and the gang
- 44:52have helped keep the true spirit of Christmas alive.
- 44:55Oh. My gosh.
- 44:56Libra, you are the ghost of Christmas Future from A
- 44:59Christmas Carol. The ghost of Christmas future.
- 45:04Wow. Indeed, not Scrooge.
- 45:07Like, OK, I'll be the daddy. That's Scrooge.
- 45:10You're the fucking. Dad, you're dead.
- 45:12Literally, yeah. Wow.
- 45:14You tell me if you're a ghost, you know, I mean.
- 45:16Well. You're right.
- 45:18Wow. OK.
- 45:19All right. Damn Irish.
- 45:25Libra is represented by the Scales and balances of justice
- 45:28and Charles Dickens is. A Christmas Carol was born from
- 45:30the author's outrage at the treatment of the poor in his
- 45:33native England. Dickens intended to turn his
- 45:35observations into a political pamphlet working title and
- 45:38appeal to the people of England on behalf of the poor man's
- 45:41child, recognizing that moral lessons are best delivered in
- 45:44appealing packaging. Very Venusian, he instead
- 45:48published A Christmas Carol, which gave voice to his concerns
- 45:51about poverty and social injustice.
- 45:54In the in the illustrated novella turned turned numerous
- 45:59movies numerous No, there's AY turned numerous the spooky
- 46:07skeleton figures. Oh, the spooky skeleton fingers
- 46:10of the Ghost of Christmas future.
- 46:13Yeah, it's so scary. The hand comes up and it's the
- 46:15skeleton hand. Speak to the need to write the
- 46:20scales of our humanity before the swift justice of death takes
- 46:23its toll. Oh wow, I'd love A Christmas
- 46:26Carol. Of course, of course.
- 46:27And but then they came out with the, you know, the movie, I'm
- 46:31going to say because I love it so much.
- 46:33A Muppet Christmas. Carol, the Man Who invent the
- 46:36Man who invented Christmas. And it's about Charles Dickens
- 46:39and riding the yes. We did watch that last year.
- 46:41We. Watched it, I love it so much.
- 46:43I think it's really wonderful. So if you haven't seen it yet,
- 46:45you don't have to give it a watch this Christmas season.
- 46:47All right, next, who's up? Scorpio, you are Sally from A
- 46:52Nightmare Before Christmas. A classic Scorpio, the secret of
- 46:57sword. With oceanic depth and no limit
- 47:00to the lengths she will go, Sally has a hard time revealing
- 47:04her love struck feelings. Oh, excuse me.
- 47:06Her love struck feels to alluring extremist Jack
- 47:09Skellington, but shows no hesitation in poisoning her
- 47:12maker with nightshade. Scorpios are aces at
- 47:15resourcefulness and personal resurrection, and Sally's no
- 47:17exception, Literally stitching herself back together after a
- 47:20daring escape. The The affinity between Sally
- 47:24and Scorpios is perhaps best distilled in her singing a
- 47:28doomed love ballad to an audience of one single cat.
- 47:33All right, Sagittarius, looking. Stop looking.
- 47:35Don't look and cheat. I'm done.
- 47:37Again, Sagittarius, you are Yukon Cornelius from Rudolph the
- 47:41Red Nosed Reindeer. Yes, I.
- 47:43Love Yukon Cornelius. I love it.
- 47:45Wait, no, nothing. Nothing you never find.
- 47:54Silver or gold? Never.
- 47:57Oh my God, that's awesome. Sagittarius is represented by
- 48:00the arrow wielding, experience hunting Centaur and Yukon
- 48:05Cornelius is an orally fixated redhead seeking riches at the
- 48:09farthest reaches. I thought.
- 48:10That they were orally fixed. I thought that the arrow
- 48:15wielding experience hunting Centaur is how they were
- 48:18describing Yukon Cornelius. That's why that's you heard
- 48:21applause. I gotta look 'cause I'm like,
- 48:23he's not a Centaur. OK, All right, we got it.
- 48:24We got it. We're with you.
- 48:25That's. Hilarious.
- 48:26And Yukon Cornelius is an orally fixated redhead seeking riches
- 48:30at the farthest. At the farthest reaches.
- 48:33Same, Same, but different. OK, ruled by Jupiter, the planet
- 48:37of expansion and abundance, luck tends to ride shotgun for Sag
- 48:41folk, and Yukon is no exception, hitting pay dirt and Hallelujah
- 48:46via peppermint gold at the end of the film.
- 48:49Awesome, Capricorn, We are, or you are, Clark Griswold from
- 48:55National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.
- 48:57That's probably. About holy shit, where's the?
- 48:59Tylenol, you ain't just whistling, Dick.
- 49:03That's awesome, Clark. Audrey's frozen from the waist
- 49:05down. It's all part of the experience.
- 49:10Love that movie. We just watched that.
- 49:12That's awesome. OK.
- 49:15Why is the floor all wet? Todd I.
- 49:17Don't know, Margo. In astrology, Capricorn
- 49:23represents the archetype of the Father and never has there been
- 49:26a better unhinged holiday holiday Daddy Holidaddy then
- 49:30Chevy Chase is. Clark Griswold in National
- 49:32Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Capricorns are big on tradition
- 49:35and consistency, and Clark's obsession with decking the halls
- 49:38to spec and having the happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby's
- 49:42tap dance with Danny. Thugget playing to him the
- 49:51greatest thing. Astray before walking him back.
- 49:54Bonus in hand cap stuff, Cat dead and Santa slay a flame to
- 49:59the true meaning of the holiday. That's awesome Santa, slay a
- 50:04flame you stepped in sitting. With Danny fucking K.
- 50:10Fantastic. It's really good.
- 50:12I love it. OK.
- 50:13Aquarius, you are Kevin McAllister from Home Alone.
- 50:15OK, Did you see that Aquarius is the sign of the innovator, the
- 50:20revolutionary and the unrepentant.
- 50:21Individualist, Self reliant and cerebral, water bearers are more
- 50:25logical than than emotional. And like Home Alone legend Kevin
- 50:29McAllister would welcome the chance to spend the holidays
- 50:33isolated, without guilt, shame, company or obligation, eating
- 50:36ice cream, talking to themselves and outsmarting any hapless
- 50:39baddies that come for their castle.
- 50:41It's true. Rolling solo while proving
- 50:43themselves superior. A Christmas wish come true.
- 50:46That's awesome, isn't that? Yeah, that's excellent.
- 50:49Pisces. Last one last.
- 50:51But nollies Pisces, your Buddy the Elf from Elf.
- 50:53Oh, excellent. Indomitably effervescent Buddy
- 50:56the Elf is the quintessential Pisces, living and loving out
- 50:59loud with an endearing and unhinged sense of whimsy.
- 51:02His spirit, and that of all fish folk, is made manifest in his
- 51:06breakfast pasta covered in Maple syrup, cereal, pop Tarts, hope,
- 51:10marshmallows, cheer candy, and inextinguishable enthusiasm.
- 51:16That's awesome. For further evidence of the
- 51:17delightfully delusional rose colored romantic vibe of Buddy,
- 51:20and by proxy most Pisceans, I bring you his schedule for
- 51:24Tuesday quote. I planned out our whole day.
- 51:27First we make snow angels for two hours, then you're.
- 51:31Frozen. Sorry if you're frozen waist
- 51:36down the road, It's it's. Never really sunk in that two
- 51:40hours I was going to. Say after he's frozen from the
- 51:43waist down like Audrey, then move on to the next, right?
- 51:46OK, what's on the next? All right, first we make snow
- 51:48angels for two hours, then we'll go ice skating, and then we'll
- 51:51eat a whole roll of Toll House cookie dough as fast as we can.
- 51:54And then to finish, we'll snuggle.
- 51:57Now, to be clear, this is the list he gives his father.
- 52:01I was like, I I was like, I don't know if you remember that
- 52:04listener. If you don't remember, he's not
- 52:06talking to Zooey Deschanel. He's talking to his father.
- 52:09He gets to spend the whole day with his dad.
- 52:10Yeah. And this is this is the list he
- 52:12gives him. Bonus for all Zodiac signs
- 52:15because we deserve nice things. Chicago diner Miss Rookies
- 52:18offers an elf inspired spaghetti sundae during the holiday
- 52:21season. Legit.
- 52:22Oh, that's a hoot. Yeah, that's awesome.
- 52:25That's it bye buddy. Bye buddy, hope you find your
- 52:28dad. Really good.
- 52:31That's awesome. Good stuff.
- 52:33I I don't think I've watched a Christmas movie yet this year.
- 52:36You, you watched Vacation already?
- 52:38Yeah, we already, we watched Vacation while we're putting
- 52:40stuff up and I think we watched another one.
- 52:41I just don't remember. We, we, there are two that we
- 52:44watch every year, either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day,
- 52:47just depending on when it works out.
- 52:48We'll watch Die Hard because of course.
- 52:50Now whether or not you believe that that's a Christmas movie or
- 52:52not, I don't care. I was personally in the boat of
- 52:56I don't care before and I would root for whatever side the other
- 53:01person wasn't because I just thought it was fun because
- 53:03people have really strong opinions on this.
- 53:04True. And you know what?
- 53:05To me, there are tons and tons of Christmas movies out there,
- 53:10and not every Christmas movie is for everyone, you know, You know
- 53:14what I mean? And.
- 53:14So, well, it's not necessarily. It's mostly just do.
- 53:18Is it considered a Christmas movie?
- 53:20I get that, but so like somebody like your dad would consider it
- 53:23a Christmas movie for sure, because that's the kind of movie
- 53:25he likes to, right? You know, there are some
- 53:28traditionalists who would Pooh, Pooh that and not want it to be.
- 53:31I don't care. I really don't care because you
- 53:33know what, watch what you like. Well, for, for us, we, we watch
- 53:37it every a year. So it's a Christmas movie for us
- 53:40because it's a tradition. For you guys, yeah.
- 53:42For sure. Oh.
- 53:43Absolutely. And then the other one we watch
- 53:46every year is Klaus. Oh, love Klaus because I love
- 53:49Klaus with all my soul. I listen.
- 53:53Don't get her started. Give her that little slut.
- 53:55Yeah, it's so cute. The music plays.
- 54:00Yeah, that's a great one. I love that one.
- 54:02No, absolutely don't even look mean the eye I'm.
- 54:06I usually watch Love Actually every year, but then it's funny
- 54:08because the one year I watched it, I finally realized like it's
- 54:11so funny. Yeah.
- 54:13But there is actually a lot of like sad parts in there.
- 54:15Like a lot of there are a lot of the people the main like
- 54:18characters are don't end up with who you know, say the person
- 54:21that they. Love.
- 54:22Well then, that's what's called love.
- 54:23Actually, yeah, Yeah. Well, it's at the end, he says
- 54:26Love Actually is all around us, you know?
- 54:29Yeah. So it's kind of cool.
- 54:29But I, I still really like that movie.
- 54:32But. You know what I got?
- 54:34But you know, it's funny because some people really, really,
- 54:36really, really love the Hallmark movies.
- 54:40And honestly, you know, there's times that Liv and I will just
- 54:44put one on so we can just make fun of it, you know, because
- 54:47they're pretty predictable and very cheesy and whatever.
- 54:50But sometimes you're in the mood for a cheesy movie, and that's
- 54:51fine. But there's one that I love.
- 54:54It's awesome. I think it's called the Biltmore
- 54:56Hotel. It's so great.
- 54:58My sister actually likes this one too.
- 54:59And it's like this girl goes to this, the Biltmore Hotel, this
- 55:04huge, beautiful, grand, your joke place.
- 55:06Yeah. And somehow ends up going a
- 55:10movie was filmed there. And she goes like into the
- 55:13movie. Well, it's kind of.
- 55:14So that's kind of cool, right? It's kind of.
- 55:17And that's the thing you can I see, okay, that's a very good
- 55:20premise because then you can do all the tropes, you can make it
- 55:23cheesy, you can make it with that because she's in a movie in
- 55:25a movie. So it's that was really neat.
- 55:28Somebody with a good head on their shoulders came out with
- 55:30that one. It was a.
- 55:30Really different one than I've one that I've ever seen.
- 55:34And so I, I really, really like that one And I, I don't own it
- 55:38or anything. I don't know how to find it to
- 55:39watch it because I want to watch.
- 55:40I would watch it again. I would watch it again every
- 55:43year if I could because I think it's so great.
- 55:45Gotcha. And it's Hallmark, so you know
- 55:47it's going to have a happy ending, right?
- 55:49Right. So what is it called?
- 55:50The Biltmore. I think it's called the Biltmore
- 55:52Hotel. The Bilt BILT Biltmore.
- 55:56I don't know. Hotel.
- 55:59I don't know how to spell it or anything.
- 56:02Hallmark movie. I'm looking it up right now.
- 56:05OK, gotcha. A Biltmore Christmas.
- 56:06Oh, a Biltmore Christmas. Sorry, I apologize.
- 56:09I knew I got the Biltmore part part right.
- 56:11A 20. 23 film. Yeah, it's not too old.
- 56:14It's not too old. No, No, no.
- 56:15Yeah. I hope, I hope that's the right.
- 56:18One, does that look great? It looks like she's going back
- 56:22in time to a movie. Yeah, it goes.
- 56:23She goes back into this movie spelled Biltmore.
- 56:25BILTMREI. Was like.
- 56:28Yep, I guess there are real Biltmore.
- 56:32What do you call them? Hotels.
- 56:33Hotels, there's a lot of. Them probably where I got it.
- 56:36It's got 7.7 out of 10 on IMDb. Biltmore Christmas is a famous
- 56:39holiday event at the Biltmore Estate.
- 56:41You can watch on Hallmark Plus North.
- 56:42Carolina. Wow.
- 56:45So that's actual? Yeah, you're right.
- 56:47You're right. There you go.
- 56:48I wanna, I wanna find it so I can watch it.
- 56:52It's on apparently a lot of things.
- 56:55Where to watch this says you can watch it on Hallmark, a Hallmark
- 56:58Hallmark plus YouTube with a subscription, Fubo, Sling TV,
- 57:05The Roku Channel, Amazon Prime, YouTube TV and then you can buy
- 57:10it off of like Fandango from $0.99.
- 57:12Oh, gotcha. Oh, well, so it they filmed it
- 57:15at the Biltmore Hotel. Shocking.
- 57:18Wow. So she's a modern day
- 57:20screenwriter who travels back to the 1940s in the film.
- 57:24It's a it's a classic Christmas movie that she it starts, she
- 57:27ends up going into the the film. And then, of course, you have
- 57:29the high jinks as she tries to fix, you know, the history and
- 57:33she's writing the screenplay Q and she's struggling with how
- 57:38to, you know, write the story and she figures it all out.
- 57:41And all, of course, is all happy and wonderful.
- 57:43So I, I love it. I thought I think it's awesome.
- 57:45It stars it stars Bethany Joy Lenz, who was on One Tree Hill.
- 57:50Oh, legit OK gotcha. She was best known for her role
- 57:54as Haley James Scott on The CW drama One Tree Hill.
- 57:57Oh, I'll be darn. Oh, she's also include on
- 58:00popular series including Dexter, Grey's Anatomy and Agents of
- 58:04SHIELD. Oh, OK.
- 58:05She's done all kinds of stuff. Well, I think it's adorable.
- 58:08If you can find it, I recommend it.
- 58:10It's it's super cute. Google it.
- 58:13Yeah, check it out. Check more Christmas.
- 58:16Yeah, no, no, no. I think we watch Klaus every
- 58:19year. Klaus is probably probably my
- 58:21favorite Christmas movie. I love that movie, cry every
- 58:26year. I just think it's so cute.
- 58:28I I although it is, it's great, I agree.
- 58:29With you it is it's. It's slipping though, and I'm
- 58:35trying to think what? I don't know if there's another
- 58:37one now, my favorite, like stop motion one.
- 58:40OK, it's got to be a year without a Santa Claus.
- 58:45Oh of course, right With snow misers and all them that.
- 58:48Was my childhood. Favorite.
- 58:49I love it. I love the Miser Brothers.
- 58:51I love Focus on Missus Claus. Yes, if she'd been Asian Missus
- 58:55Claus, she would have gotten that shit done.
- 58:57It would have been Don't even fucking play.
- 59:00I do love the Missus Claus and that as well, and the Mother
- 59:03Nature. Mother Nature, Yeah, love that.
- 59:06I love that. Well, that probably was my
- 59:08favorite when I was a kid. Too I, I also do you know, I
- 59:10really like the name Ignatius and then Iggy is a little
- 59:13nickname. I think it's cute, right?
- 59:15No, I don't think Ashley would ever let us name a child
- 59:17Ignatius. But I I could probably if we got
- 59:21like an iguana, we could name him Ignatius the iguana and call
- 59:23him Iggy. Wouldn't that be cute?
- 59:24Right? I don't want an iguana.
- 59:28But you know anybody out there wants an iguana we have the name
- 59:30for. You.
- 59:30But we got to Oh my God. What Ashley and I've been
- 59:34watching the show Delhi's Catch. Oh, deadliest catch.
- 59:38Is that where they go out like deep sea?
- 59:40Deep sea fishing? Yeah.
- 59:43Oh, interesting. They specifically, they go out
- 59:45to the Bering Sea, which is up like off of like Alaska, between
- 59:48Alaska and and Russia. And they go crab fishing for
- 59:53like Alaskan whatever. So crab.
- 59:54Yeah, Yum. And it is.
- 59:56Now here's The thing is, Ashley tells me she goes, yeah, like a
- 1:00:01lot of people have died on this show.
- 1:00:04Like shrimp and I go, what do you mean they've died?
- 1:00:06She goes. That's why it's called Deadliest
- 1:00:08catch. She's like very dangerous.
- 1:00:10Well, yeah. And I'm like, well, I know that
- 1:00:11it's dangerous, but I didn't think that she goes, no, there's
- 1:00:14like people have died on camera. Oh, my God.
- 1:00:16I know now. I don't know how much they
- 1:00:17showed, but they're like she's like, yeah, this one, this
- 1:00:20captain, he had a full on like a heart attack because he just
- 1:00:23because it's like, so I've learned.
- 1:00:25I'm learning. It's a very murderous job.
- 1:00:27It's, well, it's not a long thing.
- 1:00:30It's like at most a season might be a month long at most.
- 1:00:34And the Coast Guard basically say season's open go like and
- 1:00:39they could close it at any time. So they stay up nonstop.
- 1:00:44They're like they're sleeping like maybe 4 hours a night.
- 1:00:46And then they're just fucking working.
- 1:00:47And there's like two seasons. There's like the summer season
- 1:00:51and then the winter season when they're going out for whatever
- 1:00:53specific crab and it's like ice and snow and whatnot.
- 1:00:56And it's the same kind of thing now, this terrible condition.
- 1:00:59I know. And so they have these, like,
- 1:01:02the, I forget, they call them whatever, the cages, they stack
- 1:01:05them up. And then somebody's got to go
- 1:01:08there. And like when it's icy, they got
- 1:01:10to climb up on top of these cages, break the ice so they can
- 1:01:13hook it onto the crane and go get it over there.
- 1:01:15Well, if you're on top of the cage, you're 30 feet above the
- 1:01:18water. And like, if you fall in, you
- 1:01:20don't have your safety suit, You'll die in like, less than 5
- 1:01:23minutes. It's so cold because you're
- 1:01:24frozen. Yeah.
- 1:01:25Yeah. Ashley's watching.
- 1:01:27She goes, yeah, Season 1. No, they didn't have a camera
- 1:01:30crew on this boat. Thank God.
- 1:01:32Boat sank, all five people died. Oh my God.
- 1:01:35Yeah. Crazy.
- 1:01:37Wow. There's there's been out here.
- 1:01:40I'll, I'll tell ya. You'd think that's so dangerous
- 1:01:42they didn't have the Coast Guard like out there.
- 1:01:44They are. Oh my freaking God.
- 1:01:46But it's that fast and they can't get to him.
- 1:01:50Holy cow, I'm. Googling, several cast members
- 1:01:54and fishermen associated with deadliest catch have died.
- 1:02:00Well, that's 4 right there, but I don't know if that's
- 1:02:01everybody, but I know it's at least five.
- 1:02:07That's that's they have notable cast and crew and they list like
- 1:02:105 of them. Wow.
- 1:02:13And that's like a terrible job. Well, it's like this guy then
- 1:02:18they list the boat that he was on died from complications after
- 1:02:21a stroke. This guy passed away from a drug
- 1:02:24overdose. Very sad.
- 1:02:26Now this one, he this one, he died of a heart attack, but he
- 1:02:29was on the ship. It's just kind of the strain is
- 1:02:31so much on him. And another guy died from
- 1:02:39injuries after being hit by a crab pot, which is the cage in
- 1:02:422021. But yeah, no, the oh, the show
- 1:02:48also covers real life tragedies on fishing boats, such as the
- 1:02:52sinking of the Scandi's Rose 5 crew deaths, Alaska Ranger 5
- 1:02:55deaths and Galaxy 3 deaths, among others, illustrating the
- 1:02:58extreme risk of commercial fishing.
- 1:03:00Because the like the seas are so rough.
- 1:03:02But because they don't know when the Coast Guard is going to
- 1:03:05close the thing they got a fish, fish, fish, fish, fish.
- 1:03:08Because all of a sudden they might be like, we're you're
- 1:03:10done. And if they don't hit their
- 1:03:11quota, they just don't hit their quota.
- 1:03:14They're just Sol, you know what I mean?
- 1:03:16And sometimes the weather conditions are fucking terrible,
- 1:03:19you know what I mean? Like the one, the one was like,
- 1:03:21we're not going out because the weather is bad.
- 1:03:23The one guy's like, we're going to go out.
- 1:03:24And they fished in like fucking terrible conditions and they
- 1:03:28met, met their quota. But they're like, no, it fucking
- 1:03:30sucks. And I'm like, Jesus Christ.
- 1:03:32But yeah, it's like they, they're like, yeah, they'll
- 1:03:34sleep for like 4 hours and they'll wake him up and then but
- 1:03:38yeah, they're just up and whatnot.
- 1:03:40They the one guy he goes, they're doing, they were like
- 1:03:42cod fishing to kind of like in between the two seasons and they
- 1:03:46use the same kind of traps. They throw trap in their boom
- 1:03:49and then he goes. So The thing is, is that there's
- 1:03:52a limit on how much crab you can have.
- 1:03:54Like you once you hit your quota, you can't go get anymore.
- 1:03:57But the COD you can just get as much as you want, but you don't
- 1:04:00get as much every time you put a thing in there.
- 1:04:02So when they're getting, if they get a a good amount of crabs in
- 1:04:06the thing, it's like 50 or so. Like are in this like cage.
- 1:04:10When it's like the cod, it's like 10 or 11.
- 1:04:14But so it's not a lot and the cod don't pay as well, but
- 1:04:17there's no limit. So you can just keep going.
- 1:04:20You might as well get some COD while you're out there.
- 1:04:22The the guy goes, he goes, OK, that was pretty good run.
- 1:04:25They pulled fifty of these cages.
- 1:04:27Now here's the thing. Every time they go cage, it's
- 1:04:29they've got like a grappling hook.
- 1:04:30They Chuck it out in the water, reel in this rope, hook it onto
- 1:04:34a pulley, reels it in, lifts it up, open it, dump the fish out,
- 1:04:39scoop them into like the little tank or throwback, whatever they
- 1:04:42can't keep. Then they have to re put the
- 1:04:44bait on there, toss the cage back in.
- 1:04:47How long do you think it takes them to do that?
- 1:04:49Once? 5 minutes.
- 1:04:52You take OK, 5 minutes OK. No, no, no, no, no.
- 1:04:56He goes, he goes, OK, they just pulled in 50 in two hours and 15
- 1:05:02minutes. Ashley and I did the math.
- 1:05:04That's like 2 and a it's 2 1/2 minutes per thing.
- 1:05:08I was thinking like, that's unrealistic.
- 1:05:09It probably would take me 30 minutes, 100% No 2 1/2 minutes.
- 1:05:14And he goes because these guys. Are professionals, they're
- 1:05:16probably whipping through pretty fast.
- 1:05:18Well, he's like, he's like the whole point when you're doing
- 1:05:20the cock fishing is he's like the one guy who was talking
- 1:05:23about it is like he likes it because it's truly however much
- 1:05:28you're willing to work is what you can kind of get out of it
- 1:05:30because it's like a 12 LB cod could fetch you like 5 bucks.
- 1:05:34Well, that's not really a whole lot.
- 1:05:36But when you're talking the massive amounts, you know, let's
- 1:05:40say that there's 10 fish in, in each pod they pull up 50 things.
- 1:05:46That's 500 fish. You know what I mean?
- 1:05:49500 fish times 5 bucks is what, $2500?
- 1:05:54So in, in 2 1/2 hours, 2 hours and 15 minutes, they've made
- 1:06:01$2500 and then they can go do it again.
- 1:06:05And he goes, he's like the, the thing you do with the COD is you
- 1:06:07do like a three day Sprint for three days.
- 1:06:10They, it is like he goes, that's pretty good.
- 1:06:13They pulled all 50 in two hours whenever.
- 1:06:15Well, then they're going to circle back around.
- 1:06:16They're going to go pull them again and they're going to do it
- 1:06:18again, and they're going to do it again and again and again for
- 1:06:20three days. I'm like I'm I'm.
- 1:06:23Tired. That's exhausting.
- 1:06:25Thinking about it. I'm tired.
- 1:06:28Wow. Golly.
- 1:06:30You know I. Have you ever watched the movie
- 1:06:34The Finest Hours? No.
- 1:06:36The movie The Finest Hours. OK.
- 1:06:38Chris Pine is in it. Chris.
- 1:06:39Pine. Based on a true story.
- 1:06:42You know who Chris Pine is? I think I know what this kind of
- 1:06:44is. Yeah.
- 1:06:45Yeah, Yeah, I know. It's based on a true story about
- 1:06:47the US the the s s Pendleton in 1952 that literally splits in
- 1:06:52half during this, like, horrific storm at sea.
- 1:06:57It's off the coast of like Cape Cod, OK.
- 1:07:01OK, Oh my God, it's working, but just popcorn.
- 1:07:05And you haven't seen Maine like yet?
- 1:07:08I've seen Maine I haven't made. Felt like a bunch of so much.
- 1:07:12New Hampshire and Vermont, I'm begging you.
- 1:07:15I'm begging you. Anyway, this this essence
- 1:07:21fountain tanker splits in half. Now you know, a whole bunch of
- 1:07:26guys you know, don't make it because split in half.
- 1:07:29But this 1/2 manages to get itself kind of like lodged on a,
- 1:07:36it's like a reef or something. And so they're hanging on for
- 1:07:39dear life. OK, This the US Coast Guard
- 1:07:45small boat, nobody can get over the swells.
- 1:07:47You can't. They can't get out there because
- 1:07:49the storm is so bad. It's and sea storms are very
- 1:07:53scary. Exactly.
- 1:07:54It's terrifying. And so this Chris Pines, captain
- 1:07:57takes three guys, I think, out on this boat, small boat, Coast
- 1:08:01Guard boat. And they're like, we're going to
- 1:08:02we got to try. We got to try.
- 1:08:05And so they actually make it and rescue a whole bunch of guys
- 1:08:11that were stranded in that the the 1/2 of the of the ship.
- 1:08:15And it is man, it's a good movie.
- 1:08:18It's really good. Like it's you know, I know you
- 1:08:20don't like disaster movies. I know this mic like kind of
- 1:08:24like classified as that, but it's a true story and it's it's
- 1:08:29I thought it was incredible. I know it blew my mind that they
- 1:08:32actually were successful and they were able to do this.
- 1:08:35But so anyway, excellent movie, but you're watching like true
- 1:08:40real life guys do do this dangerous shit that's.
- 1:08:42Scary. That's really.
- 1:08:43Yeah, that's scary. Now nobody died on the season I
- 1:08:46just watched, No. That's good.
- 1:08:47I'm not gonna go for that, but. Yikes.
- 1:08:49Yeah. OK, the last thing I was gonna
- 1:08:51tell you. OK.
- 1:08:53This morning we were deciding, do we go to the library and
- 1:08:55record, or do we just go to your house and record?
- 1:08:57What do I do? And you were deciding if you
- 1:08:58wanted to pack up your hamburger backpack with the laptop and
- 1:09:01things like that. And you called me and you're
- 1:09:04like, yeah, what do you want to bring it?
- 1:09:05Do you want to just come over here?
- 1:09:07And I was like, sure, sure. I'll just come over.
- 1:09:08It'll be fine. Leave it at home.
- 1:09:09Then you'll have to take it with you.
- 1:09:10And you were like, yeah, I probably don't want to leave my
- 1:09:13cool hamburger backpack in the car because the Hamburglar might
- 1:09:18steal it. And you said this is my favorite
- 1:09:22part. If the hamburger starts a
- 1:09:24podcast, you know he stole my back.
- 1:09:27You. Know where he got the equipment,
- 1:09:28you know where he got it. The thing is then I thought
- 1:09:31about. This later, after I got done
- 1:09:32talking to you, the Hambler can't speak.
- 1:09:34The hamburger was like. That's all he does.
- 1:09:38He never speaks let. Me tell you something.
- 1:09:40Not my Hamburglar chirping around.
- 1:09:42Not my Hamburglar because when they remember when they made
- 1:09:45those animated. Oh yeah, Hamburglar talking
- 1:09:48then. OK.
- 1:09:49He didn't have a podcast then. So somebody finally told him to
- 1:09:51speak, I guess. If you fucking hear a podcast
- 1:09:56this is it's Baker and the fucking Hamburglar.
- 1:10:01And they stole my bucket, backpack, backpack.
- 1:10:04No, I that face that I made was because I had an amazing idea.
- 1:10:10Let me pitch this to you, OK? Pitch it.
- 1:10:12OK? This is my movie idea.
- 1:10:14I honestly don't care if somebody steals it.
- 1:10:15I'll never make this. So I once I hope someone steals
- 1:10:18this and makes us OK. Specifically Disney.
- 1:10:20Disney Listen because Disney owns The Muppets and it's a
- 1:10:24muppet movie, a Muppet movie that is a biography style movie.
- 1:10:30But again, Muppets, stay with me here with.
- 1:10:32You Shackleton? Oh hell yeah.
- 1:10:36The only person in the movie is Shackleton and everyone else is
- 1:10:41a Muppet. Everyone else is a Muppet.
- 1:10:43Why didn't you watch the the Shackleton?
- 1:10:45Yes. Of course I would, because
- 1:10:47that's an incredible story, right?
- 1:10:48But with my it just. Be me and you and the theater,
- 1:10:51nobody else. Oh man, I me stand up.
- 1:10:56Let me watching Sweetums a trek across the Arctic.
- 1:10:59That was good. Or no, You know what I don't
- 1:11:03know? I don't know who should be a
- 1:11:04person. I don't know who the person
- 1:11:05should be. Part of me thinks, well, it's
- 1:11:07got to be Shackleton. But now I'm thinking that maybe
- 1:11:09the frog should be Shackleton. True.
- 1:11:13That's true, but I don't know because in in the in the, but
- 1:11:18it's Chris Carol. It was Scrooge was, you know,
- 1:11:22yeah, it could be, could be kind of cool if you have a.
- 1:11:28You know what is so funny? Remember when I was telling you
- 1:11:30about the the Shackleton stuff, the behind, like sort of like
- 1:11:34the hues, Like I just didn't like the cut of his jib.
- 1:11:37So he's not going, Yes. Yes, OK.
- 1:11:39Can you imagine he imagined that that person is the human and
- 1:11:42then you're like, I like to cut you.
- 1:11:44That's where we start. You got him interviewing another
- 1:11:46human. He's like, I don't like the cut
- 1:11:48of your jib. You're out.
- 1:11:49OK, cuts. He's like now.
- 1:11:51He's like now here is my fucking award worthy crew.
- 1:11:54All of. Them.
- 1:12:00Oh my fucking God. OK, that's excellent.
- 1:12:09Wouldn't that be great? And I want and I don't want, I
- 1:12:18don't want it to be like, I don't want it to be like, I love
- 1:12:22Tim Curry, OK, but I don't want it to be like a Tim Curry
- 1:12:25situation where it's like, oh, it's a human act.
- 1:12:27No, no, no. I want like a Michael Caine.
- 1:12:29I want someone to play this straight.
- 1:12:32I want an Oscar award-winning performance as Sir Eartest
- 1:12:36Shackleton of. Course, of course.
- 1:12:40With The Muppets. I agree.
- 1:12:42I saw somebody, somebody said suggested you they should do a
- 1:12:45King Arthur movie with The Muppets and that could be kind
- 1:12:49of cool. That could be kind.
- 1:12:50Of cool we we we have discussed this before, but like the
- 1:12:52thought as we were talking about like, you know, you're talking
- 1:12:54about the Coast Guard and I'm talking to ice.
- 1:12:56I was like, Oh my God, like I was like, oh man, Shackleton
- 1:12:59movie would be would be an amazing movie somebody should
- 1:13:01make. And then I went a Shackleton
- 1:13:03muppet the. Whole the whole cut to the cast,
- 1:13:06then the whole the whole crew is.
- 1:13:07It writes itself. It writes itself some.
- 1:13:12We need to write a We need to write the screenplay, I guess,
- 1:13:14and then try to play Disney. Do you know we, we did those
- 1:13:18that, that we went over to Shuster's for her birthday and
- 1:13:22we all had to give like a presentation.
- 1:13:25And I, and I won't say on the pod what my presentation was if
- 1:13:28I've already said it. Well, fuck me, I have a bad
- 1:13:30memory. But no, I had a presentation.
- 1:13:35Everybody gave theirs. And our friend Aaron gets up and
- 1:13:38he gets his and he's talking about that.
- 1:13:40He's like, I should be in charge of streaming services and what
- 1:13:45they're putting out. I should be allowed to say the
- 1:13:47the yay or nay basically. And he's like he was.
- 1:13:51Talking about blah blah blah blah blah.
- 1:13:53Right. Basically he's like, and I'm
- 1:13:56like, oh, did that actually get a new season?
- 1:13:58Because the fact that you don't know is why this is up here.
- 1:14:02The fact that you're like kind of excited and you would see
- 1:14:05that, but you're not actually sure if that's come out true.
- 1:14:07That's why it's up here. And I was like, would he renew
- 1:14:09Firefly? That's what I want?
- 1:14:11Probably. Probably.
- 1:14:12But he gave. I can't even remember what some
- 1:14:15of his things are. I'm gonna have to.
- 1:14:16He'll be over here tomorrow for D&D.
- 1:14:18Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna have to ask him.
- 1:14:19What to do an update on the next one?
- 1:14:22Yes, but one of them was something about Miss Piggy.
- 1:14:25And I was like, that's what it was.
- 1:14:28It was a same kind of thing, a biography of Princess Diana, PE
- 1:14:34as Princess Diana. And I'm like, we're literally
- 1:14:37like all over. Like, let me tell you something,
- 1:14:39I'd watch that right now. In a heartbeat.
- 1:14:42In a heartbeat. And Miss Piggy would kill it.
- 1:14:45She would, yeah. She would kill it that.
- 1:14:47'D be a hoot. Why would we watch the plug out
- 1:14:49of that? It'd be disrespectful.
- 1:14:51I don't know. If Miss Piggy played me in my
- 1:14:53biography, I'd be thrilled. I'd be.
- 1:14:55Thrilled. Honestly, I can't think of a
- 1:14:58single Muppet. I cannot think of a single
- 1:15:00Muppet that I would be offended if they played me because
- 1:15:02honestly, like I don't like, you know, Professor Honey do
- 1:15:06whatever the fuck his name is and he's like, whatever.
- 1:15:08But if he I was Professor Honey do I could live with it because
- 1:15:10I would be portrayed in a fucking Muppet movie.
- 1:15:13It's true. It's true I.
- 1:15:15So Miss Princess Diana, that's hilarious.
- 1:15:19But it was literally like he had this like, I was like Princess
- 1:15:21Diana biography. And I'm like, OK, Miss Piggy
- 1:15:25plays Prince Diana. We're like, I'm so in.
- 1:15:29And I don't want I want to be played completely straight.
- 1:15:31Right? I think that people should just
- 1:15:33hire The Muppets like actors. You know what I mean?
- 1:15:37I don't need it to be even be a Muppet movie.
- 1:15:40I just like want to be watching like The Lord of the Rings.
- 1:15:42And then nobody even bats an eye when Frodo shows up and it's
- 1:15:46come with the frog, Right? Right.
- 1:15:47I don't like, you know, or like we're watching it or whatever.
- 1:15:50Absolutely. Expected and acceptable. 100%
- 1:15:52yeah, that's what I'm saying. I I wanna see like, oh, you have
- 1:15:59AI, Don't know. I'm trying to think of a movie,
- 1:16:01whatever a movie where you've got like a band is playing or
- 1:16:04something like that. And the band is Oh yeah, Doctor
- 1:16:08T Mayhem for sure. And was it Electric Mayhem?
- 1:16:11Yeah, that's like to Mayhem like that.
- 1:16:13And it's just it's just like a subtle thing in the background.
- 1:16:16No one comments on it. Nobody says anything.
- 1:16:22Like I would live for that. And now I'm racking my brain for
- 1:16:26a movie that has a band playing in the background.
- 1:16:28All I could think was The Wedding Singer, but that would
- 1:16:30kind of be a key role if they were the band be a key role
- 1:16:33because because I was thinking, I was thinking of the the this
- 1:16:36is final Tap. And I'm like, well, that's
- 1:16:37actually the key role. I can't think it was single.
- 1:16:41You have with the purpose of being a wallflower or you know,
- 1:16:43any, any Back to the Future, if we're in Back to the Future and
- 1:16:48he goes to the dance at the very end and it just happened to be
- 1:16:51Doctor Teeth. The Electric Mayhem was the band
- 1:16:52playing and he just sings the lead in that.
- 1:16:55Amazing, amazing that would that would that.
- 1:16:57Would those Muppets are out of. Order one in there, right there.
- 1:17:00100% that's what I'm saying. I like I'm, I'm saying that you
- 1:17:05should be able to hire Miss Piggy, should be allowed to go
- 1:17:08out for any role that Anne Hathaway can go out for.
- 1:17:11You know what I'm saying? Agreed.
- 1:17:12She should be in the Devil Wears Prada too, for sure.
- 1:17:16I don't think she will be, no. I don't want to say never.
- 1:17:18Never say never. But you know, she's got
- 1:17:20experience in shows about fashion, so she should
- 1:17:23definitely have gotten that cameo.
- 1:17:26Something right? Well, that's what I'm saying.
- 1:17:29And I like again, I don't want it to be a Muppet movie.
- 1:17:31I don't even want anyone to comment on the fact of like, was
- 1:17:35that Miss Piggy? Like I want them to treat her
- 1:17:37like she is just another thing. Honestly, Miss Piggy playing
- 1:17:41Miss Piggy and the Devil Wears prodded too.
- 1:17:43I'd watch the fuck out of that movie.
- 1:17:45You'd get me we. Were talking about this, that
- 1:17:47movie movies have not been as great lately and I haven't
- 1:17:50really been wanting to go to the movie theater and all that kind
- 1:17:53of stuff. Like, I don't want to pay to go
- 1:17:54say I you'd have asses in the seats.
- 1:17:57It would be me and it would be me over and over and over for
- 1:18:00like a 32nd Miss Piggy cameo and the Devil Wears Prada too,
- 1:18:05without a doubt. You out of doubt?
- 1:18:07Ask me how many times I would go see a Muppet movie of the
- 1:18:11Shackleton expedition. So many.
- 1:18:14Till till you would keep it in theaters actually longer than it
- 1:18:17probably would run. Yes, they'd be like somebody
- 1:18:19keeps going to see it. I guess we'll keep.
- 1:18:21Putting it up there, we'll keep. Showing it.
- 1:18:22That's what I'm saying. I it's hilarious.
- 1:18:26Bonus points if you're filming a documentary, a true documentary,
- 1:18:30and a muppet makes an appearance and no one comments on the fact
- 1:18:33that they're a muppet. Like I don't want anyone to be
- 1:18:37like, oh, this is a person that no, that's Miss fucking Piggy
- 1:18:44and out look, I really strong opinions.
- 1:18:46She's got really sharp bands. I got on the muppet movies.
- 1:18:49There's not a movie that cannot be improved with the addition of
- 1:18:54Miss Piggy and or other Muppets. Agreed.
- 1:18:58Name a movie that you think wouldn't be improved.
- 1:19:03I don't know even my favorite movie, Apollo 13.
- 1:19:06I mean the pigs have have experience in space.
- 1:19:09Pigs in space it. Would have worked.
- 1:19:13See My Vision, My favorite movie of all time, Clue could not
- 1:19:20possibly be any better. Unless.
- 1:19:24Oh my God, I have to tell you a hilarious story.
- 1:19:27This. I forgot to tell you the story,
- 1:19:29OK? We go see.
- 1:19:30We go see the Christmas lights last night.
- 1:19:33We go. We go at the Telus park.
- 1:19:34OK, we go. Then we go to the shrine.
- 1:19:36We do the whole thing. George bang and see the
- 1:19:39Christmas. Oh thank God we had a blast.
- 1:19:43And then on our way home, driving through Mescuda and
- 1:19:46Wayne says, oh, did you guys see the house that has the
- 1:19:50inflatable? Leg lamp from A Christmas Story.
- 1:19:54And we were like, no, the solid low electric.
- 1:19:57Stacks burning in the window, but on the front yard and
- 1:19:59inflatable. Inflatable on the front yard.
- 1:20:01He's like, I'll take you by there.
- 1:20:02I got to show you this. It's awesome.
- 1:20:03This is in. Mescuda in Mescuda, he's like,
- 1:20:05it's awesome. We drive down Garnet and we're
- 1:20:10driving and we go past his house and he pauses.
- 1:20:12He stops and he's looking, he's looking.
- 1:20:14And he goes, oh, man, you're just going to have to imagine
- 1:20:17this somebody. It was exactly a Christmas
- 1:20:28story. It's a major award.
- 1:20:29And the and the wife went out there and stabbed it, popped it.
- 1:20:38He's out there with a handbook. And you're gonna just have to
- 1:20:43hugs on the door. Could you guys, you guys have
- 1:20:45played like, we were crying, laughing.
- 1:20:48That's really good. It's good to imagine.
- 1:20:50We're like, OK, we already were doing that.
- 1:20:53Thumbs up. It was hilarious.
- 1:20:55That's no, that's honestly so funny.
- 1:20:57It was so funny and listen. And if it had been played, it
- 1:21:00would have absolutely been worth stopping to see.
- 1:21:03I'm sure. Yes.
- 1:21:04So I'm imagining maybe. I'll get to see it.
- 1:21:06You may just have to imagine. I don't know if they're going
- 1:21:08to. Soft glow, electric sags.
- 1:21:09Burning on the front. Yard on the front lawn.
- 1:21:11Maybe the wife did pop it. Who knows?
- 1:21:13The saga continues. We'll find out.
- 1:21:15We'll find out. We'll get an update next time.
- 1:21:16Yeah, next time. All right, write that down.
- 1:21:18Well, how about you? But after this, I'm going to eat
- 1:21:20some serious beef. It's a serious leg land.
- 1:21:23It's some serious figgy pudding. Oh, there you go.
- 1:21:26Figgy. What?
- 1:21:28Figs. Figs and bacon.
- 1:21:31Bye. Bye.
