- 0:00Double back alert double back alert double back alert double back alert folks. That's right. We got another
- 0:07Double back alert folks. Yes. We got another one also quick rant about Cameron. Hey, we're holding out
- 0:17And part two of the grades for the best conference in football
- 0:24The AFC I am your host your GM who has produced
- 0:31seven all-pros
- 0:3310 Hall of Famers six pro boners and
- 0:38Has reset the market only three times kale. Let's get into it
- 0:45Alright folks, so let's go over these back alerts because again, who doesn't love the back alerts
- 0:51We over here at the football junkies podcast love the back alert. Okay, so with the first
- 0:59Back alert we have Detroit Lions quarterback Jerichoff who inked a four-year
- 1:07212 million dollar deal. Okay
- 1:10He has a 73 million dollar signing bonus
- 1:15170.6 million in total guarantees
- 1:19113.6 is guaranteed at signing and he's average salary is
- 1:26$53 million a year now
- 1:29Let's be real here folks
- 1:31Jerichoff was sent to Detroit
- 1:35basically to die
- 1:37Figured figure speech not literally but figure speech. Okay
- 1:41When when this trade originally occurred many were thinking, you know
- 1:46Jared golf is basically gonna fall off. He's not gonna be remembered and I'm gonna be talk about and all these crazy things
- 1:53But he's proven, you know, he's proven the critics wrong. Okay?
- 1:57Jared golf right now has probably had his best stretch of football that I can remember seeing
- 2:04Since coming into the league. Okay
- 2:07He is probably in the best position possible for him. You have a stacked receiver core
- 2:13You have the up and rising Titan and San La Porta. You have a great running back core
- 2:20Your offensive line, of course is stupendous from the left to the right and the right to the left and
- 2:28You have a good you have a great defense
- 2:32Okay, I would not be surprised if the Lions
- 2:36Are going to be back in the same situation that they just were last season
- 2:41I would not be surprised because their roster from start to finish
- 2:46Is isn't a great place and they didn't have to
- 2:50They didn't have as many holes as a lot of other
- 2:54Playoff caliber teams did have so when you have that mixed with
- 2:58Them addressing certain needs and free agency and not really breaking the bank for the players that they brought it in free agency
- 3:05It was a great situation
- 3:06It's a great situation for Jere goff to be in all together honestly
- 3:13It's just a matter of
- 3:16You know
- 3:17When are they gonna it will not win but if they're going to win a Super Bowl? Okay, because right now
- 3:26They're in a position to where
- 3:29They can continue to try to you know make a run
- 3:32Up for the next, you know three to six years whereas you have a team like the 49ers who have a older roster
- 3:41In a lot of big contracts on their books
- 3:44They basically have to win this year right and if they don't win this year
- 3:49All of the moves that they made whether that be trades and signings and bringing people from free agency was basically for loss
- 3:57Okay
- 3:59But you know congratulations to Jere goff now to the second bag alert
- 4:05Safety and swan when field junior inked a four year 84.1 million dollar deal to stay with the Buccaneers
- 4:13He gets a 20 million dollar signing bonus
- 4:1645 million in total guarantees and
- 4:1945 million guarantee at signing which he will be making 21 million a year
- 4:24Calling the spot right shout out to spot rack
- 4:26Um when you look at and Antoine Winfield junior, he is a very unique safety
- 4:34Okay, he's not the type of safety where you know, he's this crazy ball. Okay, you know, he's always gonna go for the ball and
- 4:41You know, whatever the case may be that's not him. Okay. He is someone where you know
- 4:47He he just gets the job done and it shows in his stats. Okay. Um this past season. He has 76
- 4:54Um
- 4:56Tackles well solo tackles, excuse me. Um, he had which you know ranked 20 of overall in the league
- 5:02Six that's right six force fumbles, which was first in the league. He had three picks, of course
- 5:0925th overall he had 12
- 5:12Past deflections which was tied for 23rd
- 5:15In the league as a whole according to ESPN
- 5:19Um, let's be real here folks and swan Winfield junior
- 5:24You know is definitely a safety that should be that should be talked about more. Okay
- 5:31Am I saying he should be talked about in the same rail as the Derwin James the main defense Patrick the Harrison Smiths of the world?
- 5:39Possibly because of his unique skill set and what he brings to the team. Okay, he has played a very pivotal role
- 5:46On that bucking near secondary since being you know since being drafted by them. Okay?
- 5:53He continues to just get the job done. Okay, you're talking about someone where if you need him to make a tackle
- 6:02He's gonna make the tackle
- 6:03If you need somebody that's going to go for the pick, he'll go for the pick
- 6:07We need someone to make a play. This is Antoine Winfield, Jr. Okay?
- 6:12and so
- 6:13You know, it's actually really good deal because by the time the deal is over
- 6:18He'll still be somewhat in his prime. He'll still be in his late 20s
- 6:23So he could go and re up for another extension
- 6:27and you know and and continue to play at a very high level because
- 6:32You know since being drafted he has been one of one of the best safeties in my mind
- 6:39One of the best up-and-coming safeties. Okay?
- 6:42Just because of what he does on the field
- 6:46He's not the he's not a safety to where you can box him in and you know
- 6:52One or two different categories. He's just a do-it-all type of safety a person that just gets the job done
- 6:59And so, you know congratulations to both of them getting their bag alerts now time for a rant folks
- 7:07Okay, it's time to do a quick little rant before we get into these grades because I know once I get into these grades
- 7:15Not a lot of people gonna like these grades, but guess what? I have to do it. It is my job as your GM
- 7:21Okay, so if if you haven't if you haven't gotten the news
- 7:26yesterday
- 7:27around around the same time when the NFL dropped the
- 7:31Schedule for all the teams which I will be probably doing a video or probably discussing about it
- 7:39probably next episode
- 7:41a report came out from
- 7:43ESPN's insider Jeremy Fowler basically detailing that Cameron Hayward is sort of in a holdout because he wants a
- 7:53Extension, okay
- 7:55Now I'm going to try to break it down both the positive and the negatives of this situation
- 8:02And I'm gonna try to
- 8:04remain as
- 8:05Bias as I possibly can
- 8:07On one hand, I understand
- 8:11You know why you why you will want to sort of be in a holdout. I get that
- 8:17Always pro player always want, you know players to get paid. That's why I emphasize bag alerts so much
- 8:24But at the same time
- 8:26There is a time in place
- 8:28For these type of discussions, okay?
- 8:31Because we have to be real we have to be honest with ourselves
- 8:36Cam is at a point in his career
- 8:39Where he where he has more years behind him than the head of him, right?
- 8:44And and so when you have a player like Cam who is in the position that he's in
- 8:51It can make things a little bit difficult to try to
- 8:55Come up with an extension for him because he might be thinking one thing and you might be thinking something different, right?
- 9:02And so for the longest time the Steelers have had a problem when it comes to
- 9:09Ripping the Band-Aid off for their older players. Okay, case in point
- 9:14You look at you know them keeping Ben for as long as they did you look at?
- 9:18You know Heinz war when once he got a little bit older Troy when he got a little bit older
- 9:24In company, I just don't know what it is, but it's it's a weird thing honestly and now you look at camp
- 9:32Cam is looking for an extension and that's perfectly fine
- 9:36But for this to come out publicly is the wrong move
- 9:41because
- 9:42the problem with with this whole situation is
- 9:46How much exactly would you would you want to give an older player who is coming off of a season?
- 9:54Where he was hurt, right?
- 9:58Because he can't he can't be asking for you know, Chris Jones type of money or the Forrest Buckner type of money or Jeffrey Simmons
- 10:06Or Justin Madibou K and whatnot. You can't be asking for that type of money. I'm sorry because you
- 10:12Since since you're you know, you're back-to-back double-digit sex season, which was two years ago
- 10:18You really haven't putting up the best numbers. Okay, and there are games that you know
- 10:24It shows your age and then there's other games where you see, you know
- 10:28You're influencing your production and you know why you play such a pivotal role on this team
- 10:35So when you have those type of things, it's hard to make a decision case in point
- 10:40Look at how long the Steelers cat been
- 10:43They kept him for for so long and they never had a plan in place for you know for his
- 10:51successor and in doing so you have multiple drafts that went by
- 10:56Where they never addressed the quarterback position because they always said oh we have seven when it's like no at some point
- 11:03You're gonna have to just rip off the band-aid and just let it go. You're just gonna have to okay
- 11:09um
- 11:11Now am I someone that you know that once came to go no
- 11:15But at the same time if his number is outrageous then he has to go
- 11:20Because what since doesn't make that you have all the players that have been wanting a deal
- 11:26Well or an extension or whatever the case may be you're the person that wants to hold out
- 11:32When TJ Watt was looking for money. He didn't hold out. He held in
- 11:36He just didn't do any practices
- 11:38Um with the team he did his own individual workouts on the sidelines
- 11:43Same thing with the ante Johnson and I think as well as Alex Highsmith
- 11:48So what gives you the right to do that and I saw this on Twitter
- 11:53And I was debating with somebody another Steelers fan with it on Twitter as well
- 11:58And basically he was saying you know with him being a team a team captain, you know, it is his right for him
- 12:05To to make this type of move and I had to tell him
- 12:09Just because your team captain does not give you the right to do that matter of fact, it's the direct opposite
- 12:16Because with you being the team captain everyone is gonna everyone is looking at you
- 12:21So if you're doing this guess for that sense that sends a message to where oh, I can do the same thing
- 12:26I can do the same thing ain't no nobody can can penalize me for because can did it and he's the team captain
- 12:34No, it doesn't work like that. This is something to where you
- 12:38try to keep this as low key as possible and
- 12:42You try to figure things out and if things don't work out well then oh well
- 12:48There's other options, but it also doesn't help that you publicly said on Twitter slash X
- 12:55Whatever you want to call it that you're not taking a pay cut
- 12:58So it's so in some ways you sort of put the Steelers somewhat of a chicken a chicken hole because
- 13:06You're not willing to take a pay cut. You're looking in for for an extension like it's just it's just unnecessary drama
- 13:15Going into you know training camp and OTA's and we had just finished getting rid of
- 13:20The drama, you know with Kenny Pickett and Deontay Johnson and Mason Rudolph and all that different type of stuff
- 13:27There's a bunch of players that are looking for new deals, but you don't see them holding out
- 13:33You don't see Najee holding out with you know with them declining his fifth year option. You don't see you know
- 13:39Pat Friar move holding out. You don't see that they're coming in and they're working
- 13:44So you need to be doing the same thing. I'm sorry
- 13:47You just have to because that can that can you know make things a little bit easier
- 13:54Compared to just saying oh, I'm just gonna hold out. No, I'm not coming at all like no
- 14:00We we've drafted some defense alignment. They they they need to be taught
- 14:05You know how to do things what to look out for the best maneuvers for this the best maneuvers for that those type of things
- 14:12You say that you're the team captain show it show it now to the positive side of this
- 14:19giving him an extension would definitely you know open things up because
- 14:23You know if if we are still in the market for you know a true number one receiver
- 14:30Then you know we need to have as much cash base as possible
- 14:34Just in case we have to give them a new deal or we have to absorb a
- 14:39Substantial amount of money right so you know the depending on the extension will also depend on how much money can we?
- 14:48absorb convert and whatever the case may be so
- 14:51You know it's it has its pros and cons
- 14:57But it's just too much of a risk. It really is paying players
- 15:01You know this at this point in their career when they're this you know this old a lot of times it backs fires
- 15:09And then you know they say you know I want to play two or three years
- 15:14It's like you know they have they get the money and it's like I
- 15:18Don't know I
- 15:22Don't know I don't like this this was a bad move and it's like now you're trying to figure out how you're gonna spread this dead cat for
- 15:30like the next few years and
- 15:32It's just unnecessary stuff. Honestly, so
- 15:36That is my little rent with cam now onto the other little rent that I have okay
- 15:43And my gripe is that there's certain teams
- 15:46Who are going to be playing three games in ten days now again as I've said before
- 15:52Pro player, you know through and through and whatnot because without the players
- 15:57We don't have football right
- 16:00Explain to me who in the blue hell will want to schedule?
- 16:05three games in ten days
- 16:09I'm sorry, but you
- 16:11And we we we have to eliminate the business side of football at some point, okay
- 16:19You you guys want a longer season. Okay, cool. There's different ways around that
- 16:25Having this you know having something like that it can take a toll on the player three games in ten days
- 16:34That's a lot
- 16:36That means they won't have a whole lot of time to rest recover and prepare for the next game
- 16:42So it and it's not like you know it's something that you can say okay
- 16:46Try to play as safe as possible
- 16:49So you don't get hurt because we need you for the next two games
- 16:53It's like no we can't do that especially if those three games are division rival games
- 16:59You already know those games are gonna be a whole lot more tougher
- 17:02because they're gonna be more physical because it's in the division and
- 17:07It especially if it's later into the season where it's cold you got that cold
- 17:13You know times
- 17:16Times your body feeling the way that it feels. Oh my god. It's gonna be horrible
- 17:22Why in the world would anybody want to do that and then you have games on Christmas?
- 17:26Christmas who in the world will want listen?
- 17:29I'm I can just I can speak for me. I can't speak for everybody else. I can go without watching football on Christmas. I
- 17:38Can okay?
- 17:40Thanksgiving I'm not gonna argue
- 17:43I'm not gonna argue with you on that. Okay. I'm just not Christmas. That's where we draw the line
- 17:49That is just where we draw the line let the players be able to enjoy Christmas with their families with their kids and whatnot
- 17:56Not being on the road or playing at home, please
- 18:00Please because when you boil it down, they don't have enough time to rest recover and do whatever
- 18:07They need to do to be to be at their best for the next game. They don't
- 18:12They really don't and it's so frustrating because I
- 18:16Understand that you know, we we want to see more games. We want to see more highlights
- 18:21We want to see, you know more dynamic plays and whatnot, but we also have to realize that these players are humans
- 18:28And that they have families as well
- 18:31And so, you know having you know the season be longer having them to play on certain holidays
- 18:39That takes a toll not everybody can do that. That's why you see so many, you know players who they're blowing out their knees
- 18:47They're blowing out their Achilles, you know, they're
- 18:50Breaking their collarbone breaking their arms their shoulder. That's why you've seen so many freak injuries
- 18:56Because players don't have enough time to rest recover and into prepare themselves for the play and then
- 19:04You know once once you ask them to make a play they do make a play and in doing so they put themselves in harm's way
- 19:10So it's it's it's just a lot honestly. It really is it's frustrating at times
- 19:15But you know, this is when you need the players association to you know, stop stop sitting on their hands and
- 19:22Get up and fight this because that's not right. It's not
- 19:28But you know, who who cares at this point, right? Nobody cares
- 19:33Now let's get into these grades. Okay grades for the AFC
- 19:38All right, we're gonna start with the AFC East. Okay, AFC East
- 19:42Is comprised of the bills Patriots Dolphins and Jets? Okay?
- 19:47bills teams needs were receiver
- 19:50Edge the tackle safety running back Patriots team needs were quarterback, of course tackle receiver
- 19:57cornerback the tackle
- 19:59Dolphins team needs were in interior offense aligned the tackle tackle edge tight end
- 20:05Jets was tied in safety receiver linebacker and corner. Okay?
- 20:11So let's start with the Patriots. Okay, of course with the Patriots. They drafted Drake May
- 20:17Jaylen Polk, Kaden Wallace
- 20:19Lating Robinson and Javon Baker
- 20:23Marcelli Marcellus dial
- 20:26Excuse me if I'm butchering your name Joe Milton the third that made Joe Milton and
- 20:31Jaheem bill
- 20:33So I decided to give the Patriots a B
- 20:36The only reason why I did that is because
- 20:38Yes, they hit on the quarterback and they also got you know two receivers for him
- 20:45It's just a matter of you know, how are they gonna do things with Drake May?
- 20:51Are they you know, are they gonna plug him in?
- 20:53You know week one or they're gonna let him sit, you know behind Jacobi Berset for a few weeks and then you know
- 21:01Put him in that's that that's the only
- 21:04You know upside that I have
- 21:06With that now when you look at the rest of their draft picks, you know, Jaylen Polk, Javon Baker
- 21:12You know, those are some really good receivers especially
- 21:17Especially Jaylen Polk, you know, he he was in that receiver core with Roma Dunze
- 21:22You know and what in company so you know, it's it's only up
- 21:27It's only up for all of those Washington receivers because all those Washington receivers
- 21:33Um, we're dynamic in their own
- 21:36Respective way. Okay. Now going on to the bills the bills did not have a first round pick
- 21:43So with their first pick in the second round, they drafted Keon Coleman
- 21:48Cole Bishop, DeWayne Carter
- 21:51Ray Davis, Cedric van Pren
- 21:55Edwin Finn
- 21:57Foschio, excuse me if I am butchering your name. I'm not doing this intentionally Javon Solomon
- 22:04Thailand grabble de Kwan Hardy and Travis Clayton
- 22:10So for them
- 22:12And I'm sorry bills fans if you you know, my my feel, you know a little bit upset with I'm about to say
- 22:19But I gave them a seat right and the reason why I gave them a seat is because
- 22:23Um
- 22:25Their draft really isn't that good it just isn't Keon Coleman
- 22:31To me personally, he's not that dynamic of a receiver. He isn't he doesn't really create a whole lot of separation
- 22:39He's not a good route runner. It's just I mean, he's good
- 22:43Well, he's sort of good to average when it comes to catching 5050 balls, but I mean, that's it
- 22:49There's nothing, you know dynamic about him. That's like, you know, wow like
- 22:54We could use that, you know and in our favor to you know, really, you know create create plays and put points on the board
- 23:02That's not what you have
- 23:04With Keon Coleman, right?
- 23:06And when you look at, you know, everybody else, I mean, you know, said you said your grand pan, you know, definitely
- 23:13Definitely needed with them losing Mitch Morse to free agency and then everybody else it's
- 23:21We just have to
- 23:24You know figure things out. Honestly with all the
- 23:27Constant changes and moves that they've made
- 23:30With coaching and players and whatnot. So I did to give them a seat not the best draft
- 23:36The draft for me personally, I feel like the bills should have been more aggressive
- 23:41I feel like they should have tried to
- 23:44Trade into the first round and try to get one of those top receivers
- 23:49Simply to replace Stefan Diggs and the role that Stefan Diggs play
- 23:54But you know, I am a GM that's on the team right now. So here we are
- 23:59moving forward
- 24:01To the dolphins. Okay dolphins drafted chop Robinson Patrick Paul Jaylin Wright
- 24:06Mohammed Kamara Malik Washington Patrick Macquaris in Taj Washington
- 24:13Now with them I decided to give them a C
- 24:18And I know there's dolphin fans are saying why are you so brutal when it comes to the graves?
- 24:23Come on. Give us some slack man. Come on. We don't need a lot of stuff. I
- 24:29Get that I get that I get that I get that but the players that you drafted
- 24:34It it's it's no just just no
- 24:39When you look at the first round pick and chop Robinson, honestly speaking here, I did not consider him to be a first-round talent
- 24:47There was nothing about
- 24:49What he did in college that made me say, oh, you know, he can be
- 24:54The franchise patch rusher or the star patch rusher for my team. I did not see that personally
- 24:59Honestly speaking here. I truly believe
- 25:01I'm at the past rushing class as a whole
- 25:05Was not as strong as it has been
- 25:09Within the last, you know, three to five years usually
- 25:13With with draft classes, you know, you know in the past
- 25:17There's been at least three to five, you know
- 25:23Past rushing prospects that a lot of people like right in this one
- 25:27It really wasn't it really wasn't like that chop Robinson, you know
- 25:33Before before college football started, you know, probably was a first-round great
- 25:37But as I was watching the few Penn State games that was watching there was nothing about him. That's like
- 25:44Man, he just gets off the line so quickly. Oh, he his presence is just
- 25:50Menacing like there was nothing about that
- 25:53Same thing with Dallas Turner same thing with Jared verse
- 25:56Same thing with all those guys and this is no disrespect to them at all, but I
- 26:03Just didn't I just don't see that that pop that that factor. It's like yo if I have them on my team
- 26:11They're gonna make a play by themselves
- 26:13They are going to do something
- 26:16Dynamical in this team. I didn't I didn't see that which I promise honestly
- 26:20Now Patrick Paul Patrick Paul is a very interesting prospect. Of course. He's raw
- 26:25But his upside is amazing. Okay
- 26:30Patrick Paul to me
- 26:32Was definitely in that second tier
- 26:34of tackles
- 26:37That a lot of people were probably gonna go after okay when you look at his tape during the senior bowl
- 26:43He was definitely
- 26:45One of the tackles that definitely stood out and definitely caught the eyes of a lot of GM's and coaches
- 26:51And with him, you know going to the Dolphins is definitely a great
- 26:55You know situation simply because he can learn from you know players like to run armstead and company
- 27:02So all in all, you know great great situation for him
- 27:07Now when you look at the rest of their draft picks
- 27:10It's
- 27:12It's a little bit rocky
- 27:13Toss Washington, you know to fill in the depth for the receiving core
- 27:17Take a little bit pressure off of Jaylen waddle and Tyreek Hill
- 27:22Jaylen writes if I'm not mistaken. I think he was the running back that ran like a crazy 40 times
- 27:27So again, you know the dolphins, you know are
- 27:32Re-confirming that you know their main
- 27:35Attacking point is speed. Okay, they're going to beat you with speed speed speed speed speed speed speed speed speed
- 27:41Fastest receiver fastest plays fastest this fast as that they're going to beat you
- 27:46Um as quickly as possible. Okay
- 27:50So, you know all in all the dolphins definitely could have done a better job with their drafting
- 27:55But again, I am not the GM now moving on to the jets the jets drafted
- 28:01Alun for Shanu Malachi Corley Braylon Allen Jordan Travis Isaiah Davis Quintess Stiggers
- 28:09Jaylen Key
- 28:11Um, honestly, I would probably
- 28:16I'll probably give him a be I'll give him a be and the reason why I say be is because
- 28:22They got, you know arguably either the best or the second best
- 28:28Pass protection, you know tackle in this draft class and a little room for Shanu
- 28:33Okay, he if you look at his tape when he was at Penn State
- 28:37You're talking about somebody that was dominant from from the minute they hiked the ball, you know
- 28:43He he he didn't slack off when it came to his patch protection
- 28:48He didn't slack off, you know and try to
- 28:51You know just you know stay in one place like he was moving. Okay, and that's what you need
- 28:57For, you know, your left tackle and he goes into a situation where you know, he doesn't necessarily have to
- 29:04Um start out, you know in week one
- 29:07He can sit behind someone like a Tyron Smith who can show him how to you know better his skill set
- 29:14Um, honestly speaking. So, you know and all all in all it it's a great it was definitely a great first round pick
- 29:22Um, Malachi Corley, you know the the Yacht King
- 29:26Um, definitely a dynamic and unique
- 29:30um
- 29:31receiver he
- 29:33I don't know
- 29:35I I don't want to be the person to say, you know, oh, he's deep old said me. We can do what deep old Sam was doing
- 29:40No, I don't want to be that person, but I will say him going, you know to Aaron Rodgers
- 29:46I'm I'm very curious to see
- 29:48Um, how are they going to use him with that Jets offense?
- 29:52Because what it looks like to me is the Jets are trying to surround Aaron Rodgers with as many weapons as possible
- 29:59Which I'm not opposed to that and they have an offensive coordinator who in my eyes is not an offensive coordinator. He is just
- 30:08um, Aaron Rodgers
- 30:10Buddy or a cowboy as I will call him
- 30:14But moving forward
- 30:16now to
- 30:18the greatest
- 30:20of the greatest
- 30:22Division in the AFC and it's not the west
- 30:26And it's not the south it is the north
- 30:31the north
- 30:33the north
- 30:34All right, of course you have the bangles
- 30:37You have the ravens
- 30:39You have the browns
- 30:41and you also have
- 30:43the six time six time
- 30:46six time six time six time
- 30:50six time six time
- 30:53Pittsburgh Steelers
- 30:55Okay. Yes. I had to be dynamic with that. Don't care about it. If you don't like it, you can skip this part
- 31:02Got it. Cool
- 31:04Now we break down these team needs
- 31:07Bangles team needs tackle detackle cornerback receiver tight end
- 31:12Ravens, it was interior offensive line tackle edge receiver safety for browns
- 31:18It is tackle linebacker detackle receiver tight end and with your six time
- 31:24six time six time six time six time six time six time six time six time six time
- 31:35Pittsburgh Steelers
- 31:37Tackle interior offensive line receiver corner detackle. Okay. That's the last time. That's the last time
- 31:44I'm gonna I'm gonna do that. I promise the last time I want to do it
- 31:49who knows
- 31:50um
- 31:51So let's look at this. Okay. So with the bangles, they drafted the merrius mems chris jankins germain burton mckinley jackson
- 31:59uh, eric olly johnson newton tenor tenor
- 32:03Mclanchin, sorry finding butchering your last name sadrick johnson
- 32:08uh
- 32:09Dijon anthony and matt lee. Okay
- 32:13So when we break things down, um, I decided to give them b
- 32:17Um now to all the bangles fans and not be upset with me
- 32:21Um, the only reason why i'm giving you guys a b is because yes, you guys did um address a major need in tackle
- 32:29However, I feel like drafting a merrius mems
- 32:33Was a little bit more risky than what people are saying. Okay. Um for those of you who don't know merrius mems only play eight games in college football
- 32:42Only eight games. So you don't have as much tape to really identify his strengths weaknesses
- 32:50Things he can work on um things he probably needs to stop doing all those different types of things
- 32:55You don't have that because all you have is eight games, right? Um
- 32:59And this is this is not to say, you know, oh, he's not gonna have a long career
- 33:02He's not gonna be able to be successful and productive. He's not gonna be able to do this than the other
- 33:06No, but what I do value is seeing
- 33:10um
- 33:11Enough tape to where I can you know, identify and analyze. Okay
- 33:17These are you know, his three strengths. These are his
- 33:20Five weaknesses. This is things that he need to do more of these are things he needs to do less of
- 33:26Um, you know, this is the the best direction for him this than the other blah blah blah
- 33:30That's just how I view things and this is not just for offensive line. This is for any player that um that um, you know
- 33:37Scouting and and uh looking at tape at
- 33:40Um, but a merrius men's is upside
- 33:44Is definitely up there. Um, I would venture to say his upside was probably more
- 33:50Than what broadrick was when when broadrick jones was coming out of
- 33:54um, georgia a few years ago, so
- 33:56Um, it's it is a risk, but you know, we'll definitely see what you know, what happens going forward now criss jankins
- 34:04Chris jankins
- 34:06That was definitely a good pickup, especially with them losing
- 34:08Um, dj reader to free agency. Um, you definitely have someone who could definitely stop uh, stuff the run
- 34:16And you know is definitely a playmaker. Okay. Um, germane burton germane burton had a lot of off the field issues
- 34:24So let's you know, let let's you know fingers cross and you know hoping
- 34:29That that doesn't you know follow him, you know going into uh the league
- 34:33But all in all he definitely, you know
- 34:35Is going into a good situation. You're going into a productive, you know quarterback
- 34:42In the receiving core, um, that's full of you know, veteran receivers who can show him
- 34:48You know how to move and operate
- 34:50Um as a professional, you know
- 34:53Professional athlete as well as things that he can do to become a more dynamic and unique
- 34:59receiver now going on to
- 35:02the Pittsburgh steel arts
- 35:04Sorry had to do it
- 35:06Um
- 35:08Had to do it. Um with them with the Pittsburgh Steelers. They drafted Troy Fattanu, Zach Frazier, Roman Wilson, Peyton Wilson, Mason McCormick, Logan Lee and Ryanna
- 35:18What?
- 35:20All right
- 35:22Here's the grade
- 35:24And I'm not saying that because I'm a Steelers fan
- 35:27So for all the people that think oh, you're just doing that you're just being favorite because you're a Steelers fan
- 35:33No, I am not. Okay. I'm not doing this at all
- 35:37um
- 35:38When you break down their first three picks their first three picks
- 35:43Were hits, okay?
- 35:45um
- 35:46By you know by a lot of analysts and and various people within
- 35:51Uh football, you know, they definitely rated Troy Fattanu as one of the best um tackles me personally
- 35:56I thought he was going to be taking um a lot earlier
- 35:59But for him to fall to you know to the 20th pick, you know, that was you know, definitely great for the Pittsburgh Steelers
- 36:06Um them getting Zach Frazier, you know, someone who was regarded as you know
- 36:12one of the best
- 36:14Um centers in this draft class along with you know, Jackson powers Johnson and grand barton
- 36:19Um for us to get him, you know was definitely is definitely a great pickup because since mark
- 36:24Uh mark he's pouties retirement. Um the Steelers have been trying to find, you know, their anchor, you know, their franchise center
- 36:33You know, they try with the kender green experiment. We all know how that failed horribly
- 36:38Simply because he was not a center. He was supposed to play guard, but another store for another day
- 36:44um, and then you had mason coal who
- 36:48He wasn't you know an elite
- 36:50um
- 36:51Center, he was just you know a good, you know
- 36:56Just a good to average center
- 36:58In my eyes and I think
- 37:00You also have to tack on to the cap hit that that he had
- 37:04I think I think they just decided, you know, it was his best
- 37:08Um that they cut him and just you know move forward and whatnot
- 37:11So, you know great for them and then you have roman wilson. Um roman wilson
- 37:16um
- 37:17To me is a very unique receiver because although he didn't get as much production in college
- 37:24his skill set
- 37:26screams
- 37:28Screams someone that's going to give defenses problems. Okay
- 37:32Mike tommy had him and quinion michael go at it one on one during the senior bowl
- 37:38And roman wilson, you know made this crazy dynamic, you know one hand and catch on the sideline and you know and kept it in so
- 37:46Um and he was going up against arguably the best corner
- 37:51um in this past draft class, so
- 37:54Um, it's just you know, he can do it all he can block he can catch create separation
- 38:00He can do all those different things and then with us having
- 38:03Um the new receiver coach that we have, you know, I definitely want to see you know, what things is he going to emphasize
- 38:10Um, what things is he going to have roman wilson to polish up on and to work on?
- 38:16As well as develop a chemistry
- 38:19Um with both of his quarterbacks. That's right both of his quarterbacks
- 38:24Um now moving on to the boltsmore ravens. Okay boltsmore ravens. They drafted nate wiggins
- 38:30uh roger, uh, rosengarten
- 38:32Adia isaac davantes walker tj tamper
- 38:35Rashi and Ali devon leary nix of seh mac and sonosu kain
- 38:41Now with them now steel is fans. Don't get upset with me. I decided to give them an a plus
- 38:48Yes, an a plus and the reason why I gave them an a plus is because
- 38:53um
- 38:55For them to get nate wiggins
- 38:57The second best corner in this draft class and the fastest
- 39:03um
- 39:04Corner in this draft class was great. They didn't they didn't have to move a single
- 39:10um
- 39:12pick
- 39:13They didn't they didn't have to move up not one spot to get nate wiggins and that's great. That's unique
- 39:18This is the same situation when kyle hamilton fell down to them
- 39:23There were multiple teams that needed someone like a kyle hamilton and he fell right into the ravens lap
- 39:29um
- 39:31But you know, that's another story for another day because i'm because that i'm going to get upset about why we didn't get
- 39:35Kyle hamilton but moving for um
- 39:39moving for um
- 39:41But in all all all jokes aside nate wiggins, um, definitely is going to
- 39:47Be a very pivotal productive player with the ravens. Okay
- 39:52He's going to be in a cornerback room with you know with a veteran like marlin
- 39:57Um brandy stephens and company. He is going to be able to learn how to be
- 40:04um a true afc north
- 40:06Corner while at the same time um use his abilities to the best
- 40:12Um best way possible because let's be real here folks. Okay. Well anyone says i'm okay
- 40:18You know, oh my my division is better than yours now
- 40:22afc north is the most competitive
- 40:25um division
- 40:26In the entire national football league. Okay, and the reason why I say that is because
- 40:32Literally all of their teams can make it to the playoffs all of them. Right? So when you have a division like that, um,
- 40:40You know, it's always it's never going to be. Okay
- 40:43We can slack off because they don't have this or they don't have that. No
- 40:47They are just as dangerous if they have, you know, all their starting players or none of their starting players. Okay
- 40:53um, so, you know
- 40:55They wiggins great pickup now moving on to the other ones, uh, rosen garten
- 41:01And let's look at you know what yeah rosen garten and tj tamper. Let's start with rosen garten
- 41:06rosen garten, um
- 41:08Was again, he was one of those tackles that was in that second to third tier
- 41:13Um, so, you know, it'll probably take him some time to you know to learn and to to get his feet wet
- 41:18But he is in the best position possible. Um
- 41:21Um, the ravens are one of very few teams. Um, low key who produce offensive linemen. Um, pretty well
- 41:30Okay, when you look at their history, they have produced good guards centers and tackles
- 41:36Okay, they have a rich history in doing so. So for him to go in there, um, he doesn't necessarily have to start
- 41:45Um week one, but I would not be surprised that at some point
- 41:49I'm during this upcoming season that he will be starting
- 41:53Um at tackle now when you look at tj tamper tj tamper
- 41:56Um was one of the best physical, um receive uh not receiver. Excuse me
- 42:02Corners, okay, you're talking about someone
- 42:04Who is a tackling machine who could thump you who can you know go up and get the pick
- 42:11You're talking about someone that is just a dog at at corner. Okay
- 42:17um
- 42:18Me personally, I sort of wanted tj tamper on my team simply because of what he brings in his skill set
- 42:24I know his skill set paired with joey porter jr. You're talking about
- 42:28Menaces i'm talking about black air force one energy if you don't know what that is look it up. Okay him
- 42:36paired up with um
- 42:39marlin humphrey nape wiggins brandy stephens
- 42:42Marcus williams and kyle hamilton that is a dangerous secondary folks
- 42:46That is a very
- 42:49Very very very dangerous secondary. Okay, I would not be surprised
- 42:54um if that secondary alone is you know top five
- 42:58based off of whatever major statistics uh people want to use but um, you know a plus for the rate
- 43:04It's now moving on to the team and nobody really cares about because they don't win championships
- 43:09Nor do they really do anything in the division the browse. Yep. I said it not taking you back
- 43:15And I'm not adding that out
- 43:17Um, so the browns don't have first round pink due to them
- 43:22trading it for uh now their quarterback uh, dishawn watson, but we're going to go over things. Okay
- 43:29So they drafted uh michael hall jr. Zephan miles harden and joe wan bricks. Okay
- 43:35um for them, I just gave them just a plain old b
- 43:39um, the reason why I gave them a b is because michael hall
- 43:42um, even though he wasn't
- 43:45talked about as much
- 43:47He was still a productive player for
- 43:50um the ohio state university because you have to say the
- 43:54Every time you pronounce ohio state oh h i o
- 43:58um now
- 44:01Moving on zack zinzer zack zinzer
- 44:03um was definitely somebody that a lot of people were were definitely talking about
- 44:09Um before he unfortunately, uh broke his leg
- 44:14um later into the season
- 44:17Um, just want to see exactly, you know, where are they going to put him on the offensive line and who's he going to be replacing?
- 44:24um
- 44:25Jamari thrash jamari thrash is is a very unique
- 44:29prospect because there were some people that you know had him as you know a top 10 top 15 receiver
- 44:35Um in this draft class some people had him in like 20 30. It just all depends on who you um, who you look at so
- 44:43um, he's going into
- 44:46a receiving core that has um, you know, marie cooper and they just traded for jerry judy
- 44:53So it's a matter of how is he going to get used?
- 44:56Where are they going to put him out?
- 44:58They're gonna, you know, put him on the outside on the inside or they're going to try to you know
- 45:02do different things for because
- 45:04Um, whether we want to admit or not chemist of fansky with his play calling is pretty dangerous. So
- 45:10Um, let's see exactly how they use the marie thrash now
- 45:15Moving on to the a fc west a fc west is composed of the broncos chargers chiefs and raiders
- 45:22Uh broncos team needs our quarterback, of course corner detackle edge and tackle
- 45:28Chargers is receiver cornerback interior offensive line tackle running back
- 45:32Chiefs is receiver
- 45:35Uh tackle quarterback running back interior offensive line and the raiders
- 45:40Uh, their needs are quarter quarterback
- 45:44Back tackle receiver interior offensive line
- 45:48Now with the broncos
- 45:50Um, their draft picks are bonix
- 45:53Jonah Ellis, Troy Franklin, chris abrams drains
- 45:57audrick, uh, I don't know how to pronounce your last name. So I'm not going to butcher it
- 46:01Um, davon vele and nick
- 46:05Garoogie low. I know I'm butchering that
- 46:09So for the broncos, I just decided to give them a C
- 46:13Um
- 46:15Honestly speaking, I just feel like they they probably should have tried to do more but unfortunately they couldn't do more
- 46:22Um simply because of you know, the big move that they that they made to get uh russ wilson at the time
- 46:27So a lot of the draft picks that they would have used in this draft class. They were you know
- 46:34Eventually sent over to the seahawks. So sucks to be them
- 46:38But with them drafting bonix
- 46:41Um, me personally, I just didn't feel like he's a first round pick. I just didn't you
- 46:47You just look at his skill centers. It's like there's nothing about him that makes us say, oh, he's a first round pick
- 46:52I've I know leading up to the draft. There were some people that were mocking him as drew breeze and it was just like, okay
- 46:59That's okay. That's cool. That's not, you know dynamic, but you know, it'll get the job done
- 47:05Um, but you know with you being in the vision of patrick mahomes, you need your quarterback to be dynamic
- 47:13Because there might be a situation where your defense can't bail you out and you need your quarterback
- 47:18To, you know, make a few plays to win the game and you know, you getting bonix really doesn't
- 47:24Help that me personally, but you know, again, I am a gm. That's not on the team right now
- 47:30So I can't really, you know make these type of uh moves now
- 47:34Going on to the chargers chargers drafted, uh, joe alt lat mcconkey jr. Colson
- 47:40Justin uh, uh boogie. Sorry if I pronounced your name wrong
- 47:44Uh, tar heaps still cam heart kamonji vidal brandon rice and cornelius johnson. Okay
- 47:52So for them, I gave them an a
- 47:55um, they addressed, you know
- 47:57Tackle which is, you know great with joe alt my only knock with joe alt is um at times
- 48:03It just seems like he's just like a like a rock like he doesn't
- 48:08He's just so stiff when it comes to him moving like
- 48:11Like for me personally if if I'm getting a tackle, I need some mind that's going to move
- 48:17Right. I need you to move the way I move just like that if you know that song, you know that song
- 48:23um
- 48:24um
- 48:26With joe alt I feel like he just uses more of his size and his frame to win matchups and skit instead of
- 48:33You know technique and whatnot and a lot of times to some people that's like, you know, that's a great thing
- 48:38But it's like no because if you go up against a technician of a pass rusher, they're going to find ways to beat you, right?
- 48:46um
- 48:47So it it's just
- 48:49I don't know what joe alt and then plus with him playing at left tackle and they already having a left tackle
- 48:54Is he going to be able to play right tackle? It's it's just a whole bunch of question marks with that
- 48:59But when you look at the rest of their draft picks lab mcconkey great pickup
- 49:04Great pick up. All right
- 49:06Lab mcconkey is a great pickup
- 49:08Um, Brandon rice is definitely another great pickup as well. Um, I feel like both of those receivers
- 49:16I'm eventually will probably be number one and number two receivers. Um within the foreseeable future
- 49:21I truly feel like the chargers
- 49:24Um, in some ways have given up on quentin johnson. I just feel like they realize they may have whipped
- 49:30Um on him and so I think you know, they'll probably trade him away before the season starts
- 49:36Um, but all in all for them, uh, the chargers definitely hit
- 49:41I'm on a lot of their draft picks, especially with this being the
- 49:45first draft
- 49:47Uh for you know for the hardball regime. So let's see, you know, how things play out within the, you know, foreseeable
- 49:55season now going on to the writers
- 49:58Because
- 50:00Raiders drafted Brock Bowers Jackson power johnson dj glaze the gam uh decameron richerson tommy eichenberg
- 50:09Dylan lubey, sorry if i'm pronouncing your last name wrong tray taylor and mj debonchard now me personally
- 50:19Um, I feel like the raiders should have been
- 50:21Um more aggressive in trying to trade up to get their quarterback. I just feel like them having aiden o'Connell and garner menshu
- 50:29Is not enough
- 50:30Again because you're in a division where you have patrick mahomes and you have justin herbert, right?
- 50:37You have both of those guys
- 50:39And so you need to have a quarterback
- 50:42That can be able
- 50:44To you know to perform because there might be a game where you might be in a shootout with with one of these guys
- 50:50And if you don't have a quarterback that can do that then what are you gonna do?
- 50:55What can you do nothing you can't rely on the defense right because the defense can only do so much
- 51:01Sometimes the quarterback is going to have to win you a game and those two quarterbacks
- 51:06Um in my eyes are not starters. They are backup quarterbacks
- 51:10Okay, um, but you know
- 51:13Maybe I can be proven wrong. That's perfectly fine. Brock Bowers
- 51:17Um was regarded as the best tight end in this draft class
- 51:21I just want to see how is he going to get used in this raiders office because this raiders offense to me is a little bit funky
- 51:28It's a little bit weird
- 51:30Um, but you know more power to them for them getting jackson powers johnson in the second round
- 51:35I'm not surprised simply because you know leading up to the draft there were
- 51:41red flags coming out about um jackson powers johnson
- 51:44Uh injury history. So I think that definitely affected his draft stock because leading up to that
- 51:50A lot of people were saying that he was going to be a first round pick
- 51:55Okay, and we look at everybody else. Tommy Eikenberg is a tackling machine of a linebacker. Okay
- 52:01That's just the best way to to describe him. He is a tackling machine
- 52:05You you talk about somebody that is just going to bring you down every single time every single time
- 52:11Um that you try to get close to him. That's who he is. Um, but moving forward, um to the chiefs. Unfortunately. Yes, the chiefs
- 52:21the chiefs
- 52:23um, they draft Xavier worthy
- 52:26uh, Kingsley
- 52:28Summa
- 52:29Tia, sorry if I'm uh butchering your last name
- 52:32Uh, Jared Wiley jaden hicks hunter norzack maw Hayden and cj hanson now hunter norzad is a very unique. Um
- 52:42prospect, okay
- 52:44he by the ras
- 52:47Scores was considered an elite offensive line based off his scores, right?
- 52:52With him going to the chiefs
- 52:54I wonder if they're going to use him as a guard because even though he can play center and they do have green Humphrey
- 53:00I would venture to say that their biggest need right now is definitely for a more productive guard
- 53:06um, so
- 53:08He is definitely in a great situation
- 53:10Andy Reed is going to show him how to be the best, you know, the best person that he can be
- 53:17Um, and you know, you're gonna be on you're gonna be on the winning team
- 53:20You could potentially win a ring in your first year. Let's see what happens with that. Um Xavier worthy is
- 53:27He's a project. He's a project
- 53:29Um
- 53:30And I don't want to say, you know, he's like John Ross because that's that's low key disrespectful
- 53:35But you know for the longest time they have been trying to find
- 53:40You know the Tariq hill replacement and you know, they thought it would have been with
- 53:44Uh, nvs clearly that wasn't the case and so with them they're trying to get back to using speed
- 53:51Um to create those dynamic plays so for them to get Xavier worthy
- 53:55Um to them is you know, is a is a high five me personally
- 54:00I just don't see it because he just strictly relies on his speed and nothing else
- 54:06And you know, we have seen that you know players would just speed doesn't really be the most productive players
- 54:12But for them, I gave them a b
- 54:15Um, and if I also didn't say the grade that I gave for the raiders, I gave them both teams a b
- 54:21um, not the
- 54:23Best draft for the raiders a good draft for the chiefs
- 54:28All in all, you know, only time will tell on on how their uh players get used especially their first round picks
- 54:35Um, but you know more power to them now going on to the final division
- 54:41The afc south afc south is composed of the texans colts jaguars and titans, right?
- 54:47So for the titans their draft needs are cornerback tight end linebacker interior offensive line
- 54:53Colts draft needs cornerback receiver running back interior offensive line and safety
- 54:58Jaguars draft needs are cornerback
- 55:00D tackle tackle interior offensive line edge
- 55:05Titans draft needs are tackle edge
- 55:07D tackle receiver and linebacker now. Let's look at the taxes. Okay taxes don't have a first round pick because uh, if i'm not mistaken
- 55:14They use uh this year's first round pick in order to be able to get cj strap. Okay, cool
- 55:19So with their first pick they drafted kamari uh lassiter black fisher
- 55:24caylin bullet kate uh stover jamal hill joar jordan
- 55:29Solomon
- 55:30bird
- 55:31Marcus harris and ledarius hinderson now for them. I gave them a b right solid draft
- 55:37You know, not a bad draft not a great draft, but you know a solid draft. They got players
- 55:41You know that can add depth while at the same time could potentially be
- 55:46future starters within the next two to three years. Okay. Um, you have kamara lassiter who is a
- 55:53um, you know swiss army knife when it comes to being a corner
- 55:58Um, if i'm not mistaken, he can play both inside and outside
- 56:01Um, so, you know that definitely adds, you know versatility along with
- 56:05Um, you know, derrick stingley as well
- 56:07Um, black fisher another tackle. Um, that was you know in that second to third tier of offensive tackles
- 56:16Um with him going into the text and situation
- 56:20Um, he can definitely learn
- 56:22Um from you know, larimi tonsil as well as you know, sort of get a feel of what exactly, you know
- 56:29He should be expecting
- 56:31Um, moving forward now when you look at the other draft picks for instance, uh, kate stover kate stover
- 56:38Was regarded as one of the best tight ends as well. So let's see exactly how the texas are going to use them because
- 56:45Last year the texas offense, um, definitely caught a lot of people off guard, right?
- 56:50Their offense was just flat out just being dominant
- 56:55So with them, you know training for stefan digs and then training for joe mixon and them having the receiving core that they have now
- 57:03tacked on with them getting another tight end
- 57:06You know and another tackle that definitely, you know continues
- 57:11Um to just re-enhance that offense and then not to mention the defensive players that they drafted that also
- 57:18Provides more depth for them as well. So all in all great pick
- 57:22Uh, great draft for the texas now
- 57:26Moving on to the colts
- 57:28Colts drafted lotu lotu anani mitchell
- 57:31matt gonclaves tanner bordellini anthony gold
- 57:35uh, jaylon carlis jaylon simpson
- 57:39mica abram in jonah lalu so
- 57:43For the colts, I decided to give them a b as well once again like I just said for the texas
- 57:48I'm not a great draft. Not a bad draft. Just, you know an okay draft. Okay
- 57:54with them getting lotu lotu lotu lotu is
- 57:58a
- 57:59You know is a patch rusher who although he has a lot of red flags due to injury
- 58:05Concerns and whatnot. He was one of the few patch rushers that you know, I could definitely say, you know in the right situation
- 58:14He probably could be um, you know a good to
- 58:17do
- 58:18great patch rusher simply because his technique is sound and he has you know a little bit of
- 58:26Explosiveness and speed with him. It's not necessarily, you know, the most speed where he know, he's super fast, but
- 58:32Um, you know the speed is there the explosiveness is there
- 58:36Um, the the use of his hands, you know was definitely unique. It definitely caught the eyes
- 58:41Of you know of a few gms and coaches, you know, leading into the senior bowl combine and then private workouts as well
- 58:47So, you know, all in all great for them and then for them to get a Donnie Mitchell
- 58:52That's another receiver for Anthony Regerson
- 58:55For years
- 58:57They really have not really done the best when it comes to drafting receivers. I mean even though they did lock up
- 59:04Michael Pittman
- 59:06Junior, I just feel like they just needed to continue to add more to that offense to make that offense more
- 59:12Uh dynamic, um, and it's you know in its own respective
- 59:16But all in all great pickup great draft for the Colts now moving on to the jaguars
- 59:23Jaguars drafted brian thomas jr
- 59:26mason smith jerry on jones javon foster jordan jefferson
- 59:30Deont deontre uh prince kailyn robinson cam little and miles cold
- 59:35Now their first two draft picks are going to be starters. Okay, especially mason smith again
- 59:42As I said before in a few episodes ago
- 59:46If you don't know who mason smith is if you want to know what his comp is
- 59:50step on to it
- 59:52do it do it
- 59:53do it do it
- 59:55That is who mason smith is. Okay, you're talking about somebody who?
- 1:00:00um
- 1:00:00In the you know in the year is coming. He is probably going to be a pass rusher that people are going to be talking about
- 1:00:06Okay, you heard it here for brian thomas jr
- 1:00:09um another receiver
- 1:00:11Of for trevor lorenz. Um, they're definitely trying to surround him
- 1:00:15Um with you know as many weapons as possible
- 1:00:18So, you know, you have a very physical receiver who is going to give a lot of db some problems
- 1:00:24So um can't wait to see you know how he matches up, you know going forward
- 1:00:28Um, and then everybody else, you know, um, you know draft picks honestly
- 1:00:35um
- 1:00:35It's just a matter of will they be starters or will they not be starters?
- 1:00:39We know the jaguars um did have to let go uh a few people trade away some few people
- 1:00:46And I wouldn't be surprised if they you know trade more people as well
- 1:00:50Um simply because I know pretty soon they they're going to want to try to
- 1:00:53Um pay trevor lorenz, you know as quickly as possible now to the final uh team
- 1:01:01The tennessee titans they drafted uh jc latham to vondry sweat satrid gray
- 1:01:07uh jar Jarvis brownlee jr jacquan jackson james williams and jaylon uh
- 1:01:14around now for them
- 1:01:16I decided to give them a b as well and if I didn't say
- 1:01:19Uh, what great I gave for the jaguars. I'll say it again. I gave both teams a b
- 1:01:25When you look at the tines the tines are still going through sort of the hard rebuild phase
- 1:01:30So they're still trying to you know build the offense in line as well as address other needs
- 1:01:35Um on the roster so with them getting jc latham was definitely a great pickup
- 1:01:41simply because
- 1:01:42um, he has gone public and has said that you know
- 1:01:46He's not opposed to playing left tackle as well even though he is a right tackle
- 1:01:49He's not opposed to playing left tackle. You're talking about someone who is as strong as an ox
- 1:01:55And can just move, you know with the best of them. Okay
- 1:01:59I want to see exactly where are they going to put them out?
- 1:02:02Are they going to keep him at right tackle or are they going to put him at left tackle me personally?
- 1:02:06I probably would keep him um at right tackle, but you know, I don't make those decisions now
- 1:02:12on to tennessee
- 1:02:14sweat um a prospect who was regarded as a top 5 d tackle in this draft class
- 1:02:21Him being on that d line with jeffrey simons is a one-two punch that you know
- 1:02:27It's going to strike the fear in a lot of offensive lines because you're going to have to double team jeffrey simmons
- 1:02:33And you're going to have to double team
- 1:02:35possibly to varnay sweat as well and even then I don't even think that's enough so
- 1:02:39Um, let's see what happens with that now
- 1:02:42Um
- 1:02:44Now to talk about somebody that not a lot of people are talking about but to me and a lot of other people he was regarded as
- 1:02:50I'm one of the best linebackers and this very small linebacker draft class of sedra gray sedra gray
- 1:02:57um is
- 1:02:59a linebacker who
- 1:03:02Honestly the titans need okay. You're talking about someone that has siren siren speed
- 1:03:07Who is good in coverage and who could possibly you know match up with titans?
- 1:03:12Well, so
- 1:03:14I'm just really curious to see you know how bright s calahann is is going to use him especially with that defense
- 1:03:20with them getting the gerry's need and
- 1:03:23Now having you know
- 1:03:25To varnay sweat and then adding on you know what they already have and jeffrey simmons that defense is going to be a problem folks
- 1:03:32Yep, that defense is going to give some teams some problems
- 1:03:36I would not be surprised if the titans are you know trying to get the second or third spot within their division
- 1:03:43Would not be surprised, but I want to end this episode if you guys like what you are listening
